《The Tail of a Dragon》 Prologue An egg sits cradled on its nest with a few other hatched eggs. It had red speckled dots on its white perimeter, a glossy slime covered it from where it had recently been dropped from the mother''s birth canal. The baby dragon''s had hatched and were galloping around the place with their newborn lives. Some of them were spitting out fire, scaring themselves at the thought of such a thing. Others were simply struggling to walk. A particular blue dragon had mastered everything almost perfectly in this time. He was definitely the star of the bunch. This red-speckled egg looked unhealthy, as if it would never hatch. A single crack shuttered along the egg as it began to shake violently. Suddenly, a pale claw bursted from the shell and out came the cries of the late-blooming dragon. It''s head soon came after, popping out like it had no business being in this shell anymore. In a rolling fashion, it busted out of the egg, a bigsmlachkleft the other babies curious. They all turned their heads to see the commotion.
Congratulations! New choices have been created for you!
The small and fragile little dragon, forced its eyes open. Blinking multiple times, it had an overwhelmed glare into the abyss. It had no idea where it was, who it was, or what this red screen in front of it was. The poor little thing lacked the instinct to even make proper thought. The only thing it surely knew was hunger. It knew danger. That instinct came surging in, making the dragon crawl over behind a rock.

The clanging of metal against rock had frightened the baby dragons, in turn, this made them flee for safety. Some hid, and some ran. It appeared mother dragon was nowhere to be found, but a set of knights had strolled right on into the cave, uncontested. Most of the knights had strange objects in hand. The dragon couldn¡¯t clearly see what it was, but it was definitely curious. Of course the dragon couldn¡¯t process any of this information, it simply knew danger and hunger. The oily layering of the cave was hard to tread in, but the dragon¡¯s fish like feet were built specifically for this type of environment. A squeal erupted from the other side of the cavern, resulting in the harmonious screeching of the flocklings. A knight had captured one of the baby dragons with some form of net. ¡°I got him now!¡± The knight said, and although the poor little red dragon couldn¡¯t understand the knight, he knew he was definitely an enemy. Then, everything was cascaded in black, as a net had snuck up on the dragon and encapsulated it into capture. The poor red dragon had just been born, but was also forced into the hands of the knights. He jolted along the expanding net, hoping to pry himself free of his bonds. The dragon met failure, and was soon fast asleep.

Captured 1 The crunching sound of boot against gravel woke the pure red dragon. It was flying around in a brown sack, its dark red wings were scrunched against its bright bellowed body, along with its webby like claws. The small critter was still a newborn, and lacked the features of a true beast. These things took time after all, and he wouldn¡¯t be able to escape without any weapons at his aide. At its center, gnawing and clawing, the dragon could feel something scream from its belly. The wretched demands of food encroached the dragon, as his small little pouch growled hungrily for some meat. The poor thing hadn¡¯t eaten since it had been born. ¡°Hey Jackie, shouldn¡¯t we feed these critters? They stink like high-hell by the way!¡± A man said from outside the sack. The dragon immediately went into a fetal ball, as it tried to hide from the alien sounds. ¡°Shut up Rick. Nobody wants your input you dumbass. They¡¯re fuckin¡¯ lizards.¡± Another man said. The group immediately erupted in laughter. The dragon felt unsafe, and rather intimidated by this large influx of sound. It could only softly murmur under its breath.

Everything went black for the red dragon, its hunger pains had become unbearable, and its mind had shut completely down. The notifications belled in faster than the little creature could process. It simply went into safe mode, hanging onto the threads of life. Its new caretakers were immeasurably irresponsible, having little care for its well-being. ********************************* As if on the edge of death¡¯s door, the dragon awoke in a very unfamiliar environment. A yellow hue encased its body, as a bearded man held his hands out to the small baby. ¡°Poor thing, those knights don¡¯t have a clue on how to take care of a dragon. Dragons like these sell at a good price, wouldn¡¯t want to mess your wings up now would we?¡± The old man talked to the dragon as he healed it up. ¡°Take this my boy. I¡¯m sure you haven¡¯t ate since you hatched. Haha! Oughta¡¯ be hungry fella¡¯!¡± He gave the dragon a small piece of meat. The meat was foreign to the dragon, but it eagerly slumped its neck forward to bite into the rigid meat. In fact, looking afar from the table the dragon was sitting on, the dragon wasn¡¯t much longer than half a foot. It bit into the meat almost dramatically, and swallowed it without taste. The dragon wanted to fill its stomach as fast as it could. It engorged itself with the parcel of flesh and emasculated itself in delight. The dragon hadn¡¯t been this happy in forever!

The dragon had long forgotten about its recent level up, nor did it care. After finishing up its meal, it simply delighted in the feeling of fullness. Without a care in the world, it started to form a bad habit of ignoring its status screens. With a loud burp, out came a sliver of hot gas with it. The fire blast was rather anticlimactic. It was then that the red dragon noticed its counterpart brother, the alpha of the pack. His blue scaly skin was beautiful, and his body was slightly larger than the red dragon. He chewed on his meat as well, cherishing the flavor and swallowing it down instinctively. There was a brief pause as they stared at each other without thought. Then, the blue dragon burped and erupted a large bellowing flame from the pit of his stomach, making the old human man fall over and gasp. ¡°What a rare commodity! I¡¯ve never seen such a flame so bright at this age, but wow! You could run in the circus ring and become a fire-lighter with that talent, man oh boy, have I found my money maker today!¡± The white bearded man raised the blue dragon into the air, although it was simply just scared and confused. The dragon pissed in the palms of the man, his stream trickling down between the cracks and onto the man¡¯s face. The man began to cringe as he had realized his serious mistake.Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. ¡°Awhhh SHIT!¡± He flung the dragon against the wall, before it cushioned its fall with its semi-developed wings. This dragon in particular was developing at a rate unheard of. It was definitely the prime of this batch, or was it? The red dragon observed all of this with a keen eye, his watchful eye would definitely be his greatest asset to him in the future. ¡°By god, this blue-scaled dragon is at least Third Rank Epic class in dragon beast nature!¡± The man marveled at the dragon who had been so far an impressive display, well besides pissing on his hands and face of course. ¡°I-I could get a hundred gold coins for this rare breed!¡± The human cupped his mouth in livid anticipation. He had not expected to find such a strong breed of dragon in these shallow mountains. Finding a dragon at all would be enough for this man, but he had definitely humbled himself. The red dragon now returned fully back to reality, this was his chance at escape! He could get away while this ugly looking thing talked to itself. The dragon hadn¡¯t really developed his wings, but he didn¡¯t know that. Stretching his muscles, he flexed his wings out above him before jumping from the counter to glide away. Instead, he hit the ground with a thud. His wings were still too premature to catch air it seemed.

The dragon thought to itself, bad. It thought of this notification as bad as well. Confusing the two that simultaneously showed. The dragon had become a little wiser, able to distinguish good and bad. All that was left was to get away as fast as possible! The man looked over his shoulder to see what the sound was. It was the puny red dragon that might give him a single silver coin if he was lucky. The unhealthy thing looked as if it wouldn¡¯t live for another week, let alone grow to be anything nice. The dragon was nearly half the size of the blue dragon and definitely the smallest of the bunch. If there was any dragon he¡¯d scrap, it¡¯d be this puny red one. ¡°Alrighty boy you can¡¯t be leaving here now. You may be a useless bastard, but you¡¯re still profit. Now get yer¡¯ ass on that table counter.¡± The man lifted the dragon back onto the counter, hoping it would learn from its previous mistake. Which it did, because the dragon wasn¡¯t willing to risk hurting itself again for a while. The man turned his attention back to his prize possession before examining the other dragons for other exquisite qualities. His senile age and confident hands gestured that he had been dabbling in this workmanship for many years. A sudden knock came on the wooden door beside him, which somewhat startled him. He opened the door to be greeted by the knights who had brought him the dragons. The man immediately turned pale, as if ice had been positioned on his skin for a long period of time. The knights had removed their helms, and it was clear they had grins of evil nature plastered on their faces. A strong presence of wretchedness seeped into the walls of the room. Something terrible lingered in the air. ¡°We want double.¡± A knight with blonde hair came forward. The old man trembled, he backed away slowly as tears filled his sockets. It was clear that he was powerless against these knights, and that he had often experienced this gruesome act. ¡°P-Please, I don¡¯t have anymore money to give! These dragons are all I have¡¡± He said. The knight looked toward the dragons who were all separated onto their respective counters. It was clearly a dragon raising facility, or whatever those things were called. The knights didn¡¯t care though. They had shiny armor and swords, and would fuck shit up if they didn¡¯t get what they wanted. The blonde headed knight made a gesture with his eyes to the man standing beside him. Apparently that glance meant, ¡°Cut the head off of that dragon beside you,¡± because that¡¯s exactly what happened. It went balowopp. As the dragon head fell to the ground and blood spewed out. For some reason, this infuriated all of the dragons in the room and made them pounce on the knight. He started swinging his sword around, trying to kill the dragons, but only managed to cut two down before being swarmed by sharp baby teeth. The knight was dead, but so were three more dragons who decided it was too far. The message? Family sticks together. The knights were long gone, running down the street like babies who¡¯d just seen the boogie man. ¡°We¡¯ll get you for this, you crazy old bastard!¡± The blonde headed knight screamed. The old man was simply in awe, this was why he loved dragons. They communicated family love like the family he once had himself. The man began to cry many emotions as he held himself to the floor. It was strange to the red dragon who was weak and without intellect, how come this blue dragon didn¡¯t join the fray? To the red dragon, the blue dragon contained all the qualities he lacked. Why would such a dragon dissociate himself from the pack? Was he just arrogant? The dragon considered all of these questions as primitively as it could, its thoughts were much more basic and compact though. Such as, strong not fight?

Regardless, the red dragon cared not for its brothers and sisters, and its insight and curiosity had led it to gain some more intelligence. The dragon for the first time considered this: what is INT? The system would respond instinctively to this kind of subconscious questionnaire.
INT, or Intelligence is one of the many basic attribute stats that create a profile. A profile is the most basic way to explain the law of objects and matter in this space. You can view your profile by verbally announcing ¡°profile.¡±
The dragon actually wasn¡¯t sure what this screen meant, nor what it said. Although the system was in dragon language, the dragon hadn¡¯t actually harbored the time to learn such things thoroughly. It would come naturally with time after one became comfortable with its surroundings, but this red dragon in particular had no interest in such things. In fact, its attention span was still that of a baby¡¯s, having little interest in what it could not immediately understand. The dragon quickly turned its attention back to the blue dragon, disregarding the screen to another dimension. The blue dragon looked back at the red dragon¡¯s glare, but with a hint of intelligence behind its posture. The two were oddly conjoined with the curiosity of the other, their staple colors were defiantly different in contrast. Blue eyes with the glare of intelligence and dominance. Red eyes with the glare of ambition and harbored power. In reality, if the two were to be observed, it would look much more like a predator hunting its prey. The predator being the larger blue dragon. The local militia had gathered the body, and they questioned the man on what had happened. Using lie detection magic, they could verify the accuracy of what the man retold. They gave him no further trouble for the time being, only that they¡¯d have him come in for questioning later that evening. The old man had recomposed himself and started sorting the common dragons back in their rightful designated spots. A single militia guard stood by the doorway to ensure the old man didn¡¯t try to flee in case he was responsible for this crime in some regard. Worst case scenario he might lose his dragon business. The red dragon closed its eyes and rested its body from the constant strainage of stress. He wasn¡¯t necessarily sleepy, but he wanted a break from this crazy world. Dragons were hibernating creatures after all, they¡¯d often have crazy levels of composure.

Captured 2 A whisper of wind breezed through the cracks of the building, the crackling of thunder erupted in the afternoon sky as the old man pondered his options. These knights were often more trouble than what they garnered for him, and despite this, his love for dragons was far too benevolent. Abandoning his craft was equivalent to abandoning his life, because as far as he could see it--he had no one else. Only the dragons could satiate his loneliness while doubling as his sole income. The old man came from a long line of dragon tamers, his father was one as well. Soon after his father died from food poisoning, the family broke into pieces and they rarely spoke to each other. The family segmented into their respective lands and became separated in heart. It turned out that his mom was only with his father for the vast amount of money he was raking in. Which in turn caused a large feud to ensue after his passing, they wanted his land, money, and property. Nothing more. Nothing less. While his father did pass on his skills to his son, his son was nothing more than a third-rate dragon tamer at best. The best he could do was tame them at a very tender age and sell them at low prices. In his local town, his shop was known as ¡°Herald¡¯s Dragon Keep.¡± One, because the old man¡¯s name was Herald. Two, because it was practically a dragon raising facility, the shop might as well profit on the name. A popular shop with similar products would put him out of business surely, so he invested in the only thing he knew: dragons. With dragons, Herald would surely have his safety net. Not only were they in high demand as pets for the nobles, but they also made good war tools for the local lords who aspired to be king. Yet, a lord around these parts would scarcely find a dragon who could even breathe in the presence of a king¡¯s dragon. It was considered despicable for a king to have a dragon lower than Heroic class in power. Even among the Heroic dragons were those that stood a league above the other though. Even fabled legendary dragons exist, while they may be rare in concept, they do exist. Any man to find a Legendary class dragon must also be a legendary tamer to tame such a commodity. With this logic, it''s also an acceptable thesis that Herald is unable to tame the baby blue dragon currently in his possession. Some third-rate tamer could never hope to tame an Epic class dragon. Only such things happened in fairytales. This was no fairytale. As if on queue, the blue dragon gave off a red flame as if belched some gas away. It had recently been fed by Herald, and the food was rather gassy to the dragons. So this was a common occurrence amongst the litter, despite Mr. Blue¡¯s ungodly flame. When he spit his fire geyser it was comparable to a hot and humid bathroom that hadn¡¯t been washed or cleaned in ages. Frankly, dragons didn''t smell good, and their stomach contents weren''t very different. The blue dragon finally finished his little hiccup and went to rest his newly formed paws. The claws of his feet had started to develop rather quickly, as to be expected from an Epic class dragon. Herald turned his gaze to the red dragon. Meanwhile...his brother was a less comparable disappointment. Herald was confident this dragon had no talent and was even lower in class than a Common class dragon. He was sure the dragon would have been deformed in some capacity or have some underlying disorder that enabled its body to produce such a disgusting variant. In any regard, Herald had never seen such a puny dragon, and he hoped to never again see one like it.

The dragon blinked its eyes open and immediately felt a wave of energy wash over it. It felt slightly more nimble and--a little smarter? No, that wasn''t it. The dragon had a disgusting musky feeling encased around its body. It was ready to rid itself of this feeling. Shaking its body instinctively, it began to shake around almost violently. Suddenly, the skin of the dragon began to shed, falling off in a thick layer at the dragons feet. ¡°Gyahh!¡± The dragon made an acute shriek with its undeveloped vocal cords. It felt immensely better than before when it was lugging around all that heavy skin! Rather surprisingly, the dragon had been one of the first ones to shed its skin. This was primarily based on the fact that dragon¡¯s had different regenerative rates across the board. This was a classless statistic, representing the fact that the red dragon wasn''t entirely useless. It had one of the fastest regenerative rates that even Herald had ever seen. Although a dragon in a higher class was able to unlock the inner sanctums of the world itself. Dragons of higher tier were able to harness power no other being could possibly emasculate themselves in. They are the most fearsome creatures on the planet. It was the bad screen again! The dragon knew that this was a clear indication it had fucked up, and it was expecting the WIS, to follow immediately after...but it didn''t. How come? Had it fucked up slightly less this time? That could be the only possible solution. The dragon eagerly stood up, somewhat happy it had improved in some regard. Well, at least it thought that it was improving. Positive thoughts right? The main problem was still this jagged red screen in front of the dragons face. It wouldn''t deter itself like the rest of them, but followed the dragon around everywhere it went. This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. Herald was too busy evaluating his blue dragon to even take notice of the red dragon falling to the floor again, but he was sure to notice soon enough. The red dragon took a gamble it was willing to take. Maybe this red screen would help it escape the ugly thing that had taken it from its mother! It had no emotional capacity for a parcel of meat. Being overwhelmed, the dragon obviously understood this was a misstep by his part. This much information was clearly too much for him to process, but with his recent intelligence boost he could decipher what he was looking at somewhat. He had previously seen the word ¡®allocate,¡¯ so this meant he needed to be in this middle section. The plus signs were blinking and were rather distracting, so he was just going to click the bottom plus sign, but stopped himself. He had almost hit the forbidden WIS! WIS was not a good thing to him, and he knew this well. So he decided to hit the next bottom plus! Me smart! Immediately, as if the one point in intelligence had made a substantial difference, the dragon for the first time recognized desire. He desired this INT, it made his entire body throb with eccentric ecstasy. The dragon felt like a new dragon! He felt smarter than ever before. With one point he was hooked on this idea of ¡°allocating.¡± Along with discovery of desire, the great cataclysm occurred in the dragon. Jealousy. He¡¯d discovered the power of jealousy in his heart and realized this must be how the blue dragon is so strong and powerful. Because he always feels good like this! Blue more INT! The dragon thought that the blue dragon was doping up on INT or something to that degree. In reality, the red dragon had become more aware but less aware at the same time. The militia man sitting by the door was kind of on edge. It smelled like shit in here, and these fire-breathing dragons were apparently the culprits of a brutal murder. Not just any murder! The murder of a high-end knight who¡¯d been renowned throughout the kingdom! His name was Sir Rick the Third, and he¡¯d accomplished many things in his time. Not that anybody gives a fuck about a dead man though. Nor that those ¡°many things¡± were even pertinent to the red dragon. The red dragon was rather reluctant to leave this place because he was being fed and cared for. After all the old ugly thing had saved him at the end of the day. Actually, the dragon preferred to stay here instinctively for awhile because it was still so young. A blue dragon with fast- development rates would be more ambitious than a tadpole out of water. A strong wave of reminder washed over the dragon when the blue dragon stretched its more developed wings. The reminder that he was far behind and that this piece of shit over here was hogging all of the INT! If this red dragon had sleeves he¡¯d definitely be pushing them up and cracking his metaphorical knuckles while whispering, ¡°Game on,¡± under his teeth. The one thing the red dragon had that the blue dragon didn''t was the advantage of generality. He was normal by all accounts and didn''t harbor special traits to make him stand out. Perfect for espionage! The red dragon wagged it''s speckled tail as it got excited at the idea, before it realized that Herald was about to turn his head. Gyyyyahhh! The dragon cussed under its breath as it realized it had to dash for cover--and that''s exactly what it did. The dragon hid behind one of the counters, biting its tail to keep it from poking out like a sore stick.

The dragon felt more intelligent once again! He just loved getting his fix of INT, because it made him feel like he was in some state of mind that was entirely tranquil. It was quite an achievement to get this far for the little dragon, and he knew it wouldn''t be long before his poor body demanded he take a nap. He considered taking one of those power naps again, but it wasn''t practical here whatsoever. Herald looked over by his side, and thought he saw something dart past him. He wasn''t sure if it was just his age catching up to him, or if he had really saw something. In his experience as a tamer, usually if you thought you saw something, you did see something. That''s just because dragons were nimble and adapted quickly to their environment. Herald sighed, ¡°Damnit, can today get any worse?¡± He turned around and saw that the red dragon was missing from his slate. Usually the baby dragons were too scared to move an inch from their spot, but this red dragon was either scared shitless or a big-balled dragon. Herald went with the former. Such a dragon could never be brave, nor harbor good qualities in such a weak frame. Herald began to scrounge around the place, looking for the missing dragon, but everytime Herald would get close to the red dragon, it¡¯d just move to the other side of the square tables. Eventually, the dragon decided it was time to make a break for it and dashed for the food storage room.

Herald came barging in as the dragon plopped onto the floor for the last time, desperate to grab a parcel of meat from the counter. The old man couldn¡¯t believe his eyes, this dragon was really dumb! Well, most dragons were dumb, but what kind of dragon even does this to hurt itself endlessly? Herald picked the dragon up, and set it on the counter with the meat. He began to examine the dragon, making sure it hadn¡¯t sustained permanent injury despite its current weak state. ¡°Sucker can¡¯t even process when to stop. You would have died if I hadn¡¯a got here just in time!¡± Herald said. He turned the dragon over on its back and realized it wasn¡¯t in a serious condition. ¡°I¡¯ll let you rest here, I doubt you can move too far before I get back. It¡¯s about time to pin up these dragons until the militia comes to get me.¡± He said to himself before exiting the room. The dragon flipped over on its side and rolled to its belly, smelling something delightful in range of its jaws. It rolled over on the wrong side and almost fell to the ground in death. ¡°Gyahhhh!¡± It screamed in fear, before fluttering to its feet and turning to the source of the smell. The dragon was amazed at the sight. Fine cut meat into small cubic bits, the sight was enough to gawk out. The dragon wagged its tail as it started chomping into the meat like the hungry animal it was. The meat was of a cattle that had been raised for butchering. It was quite delectable to the baby dragon! Chomping into the meat with its mouth full, the dragon inherited a large sum of the meat into its body.

Of course, out of nowhere came the big blue dragon. The dragon flapped its wings onto the table and began gobbling up the meat like a hungry piranha. It completely disregarded the existence of the red dragon. The red dragon was immediately envious of the blue dragons beautiful scales and its larger wings and claws. The blue dragon gobbled up the rest of the meat and looked at the red dragon without emotional capacity. It simply saw a lower being of its pack. Herald came bursting through the door with a grunt as he chased after the blue dragon. ¡°Damnit! You may be a rare breed, but that doesn¡¯t give you authority over me! I may be old, but I¡¯m not out of the business yet!¡± He said to the dragon. Ironically, the old man tripped and fell to the ground with a loud smack. ¡°Damnit!¡± The two dragons looked at the man curiously. They had different perspectives on the man, one thought of him as a simple prey. The other thought of how it could benefit by taming such a creature. The latter was the thought of the red dragon. Although its thoughts were more refined to something like, me use! It¡¯s insight led to another breakthrough.

The dragon started to feel slightly more intelligent. It could now correlate this prompt to its intelligence. Rather, it could recognize it as a positive. Herald didn¡¯t flinch, instead his gaze was slightly ajar to the blue dragon. He was actually looking at the red dragon, who¡¯s scales were a much darker red than before. The scales held a much more polished and refined look to them, while also maintaining a hardness greater than most dragons. Herald shifted his feet around before brushing the dragons skin lightly. The scales were hard as a rock! ¡°My god!¡± Herald said. He was completely shocked at this development. Only seconds ago did the dragon have pale and fragile skin, now it had the skin of a dragon who¡¯d been living for nearly twenty years. ¡°This kind of scale will sell at a high price! Fella¡¯ you about to make me some real money.¡± He rubbed the head of the dragon before he went looking for his net. A loud knock erupted from the door, and a storm of men came running into the building. This distracted Herald as he looked up to see the militia searching for him. Herald shut the door holding back the men on the other side. "I didn''t kill him!" He exclaimed, crying out to the militia. Obviously, the pair of dragons weren''t inclined to wait on the old man to capture them. They simply hobbled away to the nearby open window. The blue dragon flew away into the broad daylight and the red dragon fell from the window to the ground in a dramatic but expected way. The screaming of Herald could be heard as he realized his fatal flaw. Poor Herald was also being arrested by the militia men at the same time. They had come to claim his head for the murder he committed. Wrongfully convicted or not, Herald was in for a pretty shit day. Speaking of shit, the red dragon landed in a hot pile of it. The dragon rolled out of the dog poop, feeling quite satisfied with this new waxing. It was like a warm blanket around the dragon, but also kind of nasty. The dragon didn¡¯t find it very tasty. His blue brother was long gone into the sky, but fortunately enough, the dragon had already forgotten of the blue dragon¡¯s existence. The existence of Herald was fading fast as well, and so was his time on this planet. ¡°FUCK! Let me go!¡± Distant screaming could be heard by the senile man. The streets were practically empty in the city. Due to it being the back end of autumn, the temperature was steadily dropping and farmers all around were stocking up on supplies. The local villagers had to make sure this winter wouldn¡¯t be as bad as the last one. The dragon hobbled around the street, taken back by the vast amount of information it had to process. It first noticed the clear blue sky, void of all clouds. Then it noticed a stockpile of wood that it had been standing beside, along with a number of cabins that were lined along a gravel pathway. It turned around back to Herald¡¯s shop to observe it as well. The worn down place was quite ugly on the outside, but had a clean interior full of white corridors and compartments. It was cascaded in a rotten wood though. A single horse carriage stomped along the gravel pathway as the dragon stretched its wings out under the warm rays of the sun. The horse stopped instinctively as its owner veered it to a halt. ¡°Well, I¡¯ll be damned. If that ain¡¯t a dragon!¡± A fat lady eating a big piece of meat said. She had white garments and a fancy hat that signified she was of higher stature in the city. ¡°Tommy! Pick me this dragon up! We¡¯re takin¡¯ dis¡¯ one home to be my pet.¡± She said. Her greedy mouth and fingers picked away at the meat as she eagerly awaited her new pet to become her docile toy. A slender looking man with a suit came out from the other side of the carriage. He picked the dragon up into his hands, grabbing it by the snout and back end. ¡°Yes ma¡¯am, I¡¯ll hold the dragon until we get back.¡± Tommy said in a fancy voice. The dragon struggled under the grip of Tommy, feeling extremely frustrated at this situation. He had finally caught a glimpse of freedom, and was now under the care of another greedy person. He hated these ugly creatures with a burning passion. He couldn¡¯t understand why it always had to be him over his blue brother! If he could fly like his brother, this wouldn¡¯t happen. It was times like this that his memory would clock in, and he could remember his siblings for a short vestige in time. Meanwhile, Tommy clenched his teeth in terror as the red dragon got shit all over his best suit. It had rolled in some dog shit that Tommy hadn¡¯t immediately seen due to the circumstances, but it sure was evident now! Tommy wanted more than anything to beat the living hell out of this dragon for dirtying his suit, but it wouldn¡¯t do much good for him with Lady Roosta wanting this dragon so intently. And so, Lady Roosta and her motley entourage beckoned off over the horizon with the poor red dragon. Would his luck ever improve? Not in the foreseeable future. The dragon had a long journey ahead of it, so it simply accepted its fate in the hands of Tommy until it found its first glimpse of escape once again.

The Big Place 1 The dragon awoke in an unfamiliar place. It was surrounded by thick iron bars with a metal top and bottom. A small bowl was placed at the corner with a strange looking pebble set inside. A dripping fountain poured down into a sink of water. The dragon was lounging on a comfy red cushion, he felt strangely at ease in this tight space. Across from the dragon was a sinister looking face, it had full cheeks with a heavily powdered face. It was none one other than Lady Roosta herself. ¡°Why what a good fine specimen you are! I¡¯ll be sure to dress you up for the next beauty contest.¡± She poked her finger at the dragon before quickly retracting it. The dragon was still too groggy to make note of the situation. After all, this cushion was more than comfortable to the dragon. He could stay here forever if life presented the opportunity, yet he¡¯d already switched to the escape mode per say. He instinctively wanted to be out of the hands of such ugly creatures. Why did they desire to capture him so badly? Lady Roosta left the room and the dragon was left in peace for a moment¡¯s notice. It quickly shook itself awake and began searching for the exit route. It had little knowledge of its location, but it understood it was surrounded by unyielding bars. These iron bars were molded in such a way to prevent a dragon from gnawing on it and bending its way out. The dragon ignorantly bit hard into the iron bar, leaving indentures of its teeth marks in the metal. ¡°GYahhhhHHH!¡± The dragon exclaimed, it frantically darted about until it tripped and fell into its pool of drinking water. With a quick roll out of the water bowl, the dragon slammed its head into another bar before walking backwards into its food bowl. Submerged in pebbled food, the dragon began to sniff at the food eagerly, its tail wagged with zest. The dragon began wharfing down the food like a cannibal who¡¯d just gotten his hands on some meat. Before he knew it, the bowl was empty and he was licking the crumbs into his mouth. Lady Roosta came back in with her powdered face and elaborate looking dress, ¡°Why! If it isn¡¯t my hungry dragon! Aren¡¯t you just a delight?¡± Her fake blonde hair and clip-on eyelashes were a testament to her persona. She bent down a little further, peering into the cage. ¡°We need to get you fattened up and when you¡¯re big and strong we¡¯ll eat ya!¡± She exclaimed, laughing as if the dragon didn¡¯t understand--which it didn¡¯t. In fact, the dragon was too busy fighting off the warring flames inside the pit of its many stomachs. Like an enriching gas from the deep crevices of the earth, something magnificent was ignited inside of the dragon as it bellowed forth into a marshy geyser from hell itself. A beautiful red flame erupted from the dragon¡¯s mouth, bursting forth and past the iron bars. Lady Roosta began to scream in incredible pain as her face was seared by the powerful flame that continued its onslaught onto her body. The dress caught fire and Lady Roosta along with it. The dragon felt much better after it finished its large burp, apparently dragon pebbles were quite gassy. Lady Roosta even went as far as to buy the name brand pebbles as well, poor woman. The red dragon craned its neck as it tried to interpret this new message, it was starting to comprehend words on a small scale.
Fire-Breathing Level 1 Unlocked!
The dragon was sure that the word ¡®unlocked¡¯ meant ''gained'' in some sort of caveman definition. The dragon knew this prompt was enriching and a good experience for him, so he danced and wagged his tail as Lady Roosta burned alive. He was glad he was steadily growing. Honestly, the dragon felt lonely without his brothers and sisters. He wanted to go see them. He turned towards Lady Roosta who was still making a lot of noise. It was annoying that she couldn¡¯t quiet down. The dragon only wanted peace and quiet. It also took note of the half melted iron bar that was dripping with a liquid from the top. His breath had melted the bar just a bit it had seemed. The dragon could fit through the hole if it tried, but it was awfully tired after that one large dragon breath. It decided to sit back down and take a nap. It awoke to a different sensation than before. One was a putrid smell that was devoid of all resemblance of good. Two, an arrangement of screens that appeared as soon as it opened its eyes. It quickly tried to gather its senses as it pushed itself up on its feet. The dragon had beautiful red scales that were ever-present as always.

As if by dismissing these prompts, the dragon immediately felt a surge of intelligence vibrate throughout its body. Although the actual effect was very little, since dragons were creatures famous for their old age and wisdom. Most dragons would live for at least a century if they made it to the adolescent period. Which is plenty of time to garner knowledge befitting of a mythical creature. To the simple red dragon who grew quickly, the intelligence boost was an immediate recognition of its basic bodily functions. It could now recognize the purpose of certain things but not entirely grasp them. It knew that its wings were for flying, and its mouth was for eating. It just didn¡¯t know why it had to eat or fly, even though it wasn¡¯t really a great flyer at the moment. If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. The dragon squeezed out of the cage and began to chew up some of Lady Roosta¡¯s charred remains. The remains weren¡¯t exactly tasty, but it was an addicting taste to the dragon. It liked the taste of humans and found it an enjoyable experience to eat them. It would continue to do this for a while until it found itself full, and then it¡¯d do it again after a break. ****************************************** Tommy¡¯s POV: ¡°There¡¯s something very strange about a shit-covered dragon that calmly accepts capture. There is also something incredibly strange about finding a random dragon on the street, but I¡¯ll never be able to fathom that the damn dragon ruined my suit!¡± Tommy said. He cursed in the mirror as he thought about that ugly dragon he detested. He looked at himself in the mirror before wiping himself clean and taking the bucket of wash-water outside to dump. He hadn¡¯t exactly lived the best life here at the Roosta residence, but he was getting paid and that was all that mattered. Lady Roosta had never been a great person and never would be. She¡¯d often whip him for her own sexual arousal and talk about degrading things in inappropriate places. ¡°How many times does she have to grab my dick through my pants?¡± Tommy spoke to himself as he re-entered the mansion with a blush across his face. He didn¡¯t want to admit that he thoroughly enjoyed their ¡®sessions.¡¯ Not that he enjoyed them in a prideful way, but all of the hardcore stuff had made it harder for Tommy to get sexual arousal as of late. It was also a rare occurrence for a noble woman to have sex with her servants. Tommy of course wasn¡¯t a noble, he¡¯d been raised in a lousy pittance of a household, yet he was doing great here. With a little cash earning, he¡¯d send off a portion of his earnings back home to his elderly mother and father. Not that he really wanted to waste his money on his old senile parents, but he believed in the philosophical concept of equivalent exchange. The logic simply proposes that a man must care for the ones who cared for him. ¡°You can raise a child, but that child should care for you in your older years.¡± He said out loud. Tommy was delusional and lonely, hence the self-talk. He grabbed a bottle of alcohol from a nearby cabinet and began to chug it while no one was around. Tommy was a drunk, he¡¯d gotten addicted to the stuff in his teen years and just had to get his fix. One of the many perks of being a servant of Lady Roosta of course. Tommy downed the bottle before sticking it in his back pocket. He was feeling stupidly horny, and went looking for Lady Roosta. ¡°Where the fuck is she!?¡± He became frustrated, travelling throughout all the mansion¡¯s rooms and calling for her name in desperate agony. The pain of erection riled him endlessly, he wanted a whipping of great magnitude for his bad behavior. Tommy didn¡¯t want to admit he was submissive, but deep down he knew he was. The smell of a recent fire entered the nostrils of the black-haired man. His disjointed nose and ugly freckled face became pale with the smell of something horrid and rotten. An incredibly disgusting smell beyond anything he¡¯d ever stumbled upon in his life. It was like death had entered the room, and his spine began to tingle as he entered the dragon¡¯s room. The sight was unimaginable. The red dragon was gorging out on Lady Roosta¡¯s right arm--or what was left of it. It was almost completely gone, and she looked like a completely burnt pancake. Her ripples of fat were black and charred, and her hair was an elaborate mess of ash. Tommy did the only logical thing he could think of at the time. He threw up, and he kept throwing up. Those corn kernels? Mixed with stomach acid all over the marble floor and into a runny mess running down Tommy¡¯s jawline. He was an ugly mess as he gagged. The erection was long gone, he was merely disgusted with his sense of reality. Was this only a dream? Of course it wasn¡¯t a dream! He had to get vengeance for Lady Roosta, and immediately tarnish this dragon¡¯s wings! Without retribution, her funeral will be unfinished. Tears streamed down Tommy¡¯s eyes as he grabbed a vase from the shelf nearby and prepared to smash the small dragon with it from above. ¡°I fucking hate dragons!¡± Red Dragon¡¯s POV: The dragon hadn¡¯t been aware of the presence of Tommy until after it hit him. The vase that is. The vase shattered into pieces around the dragon and made it feel almost dizzy. It immediately recognized that it was in a state of danger and tensed up after the prompt appeared.

The dragon¡¯s response was to hinge its claws into the closest thing possible, and that would be Tommy¡¯s leg. Its claws sunk into the flesh of his leg like butter and a silver spoon. It was remarkable and easy for the dragon to do, and it made Tommy scream painfully. He wailed as he hobbled back and against the wall. He ended up hitting something that could fall on him, which was ironically a vase. It shattered on top of his head and knocked him out cold immediately. The dragon detached from Tommy¡¯s leg, still weary if he was in the clear. A small twitch came from the center of Tommy¡¯s pants, making the dragon jump back in anxiety. It had no idea what kind of deadly creature could pop out from such a crevice, and it didn¡¯t want to know. It was curious of its brothers and sisters though. It wanted family-time even though it had only been away from the town for a day.

The Road Ahead 1 Being a baby dragon is tough. Especially one who has to walk down multiple corridors to find an exit that leads only to another room which leads back to the same hallway. The dragon was lost and had no idea where it was. By the time it had made a full loop, it had forgotten that it had been in the room. Although it was starting to get oddly suspicious of something peculiar in the air. Either that or Lady Roosta¡¯s smell was carrying over. Eventually the dragon walked toward an open door which led straight outside. The outside was decorated with beautiful shrubbery and a fountain that was encased in the middle. Down from the steps was a beautiful squared walkway that was outlined by the vegetation. A mule was straddled by rope and tied along the bark of a thick tree. The dragon paid no attention to any of this detail and simply fluttered its wings down to the nearby cobblestone. It started following the paved path and walked parallel to the street and over the horizon. The mansion which was bland and generic was soon gone from sight and the dragon had reached a new horizon of events to experience. A man with a brown tunic vest and black goatee appeared from the treeline. He had brown eyes and wore a large set of boots. He carried a longbow on his side and looked down at the dragon who had accidentally stumbled upon this man. He gave the dragon a menacing glance before reaching out to grab the dragon by its neck. The dragon gawked, ¡°GYAH--¡± Its vocal cord was cut off from making any further noise as the hunter chuckled. ¡°I¡¯ve never had dragon meat before. You must be from that bitch Lady Roosta and her little noble entourage huh?¡± He said. Another set of men appeared behind the ruthless hunter. There were five more in total, and the red dragon was in trouble!

¡°Draiguk! Don¡¯t kill the thing. Do you have any idea how much we could sell a dragon for?¡± Another man appeared. He had blonde hair and a large backpack slung to his side. The man wasn¡¯t largely built, but he was still fairly muscular. The men rallied behind him instead of Draiguk due to his kinder nature. Draiguk turned around and faced the blonde man while continuing to crush the dragon by the neck. ¡°This piece of shit common dragon wouldn¡¯t sell for shit! Even if it¡¯s a dragon, by the time I split the money it wouldn¡¯t have been worth it--so I¡¯ll eat it instead.¡± He said with a smile as he focused on crushing the durable dragon¡¯s skin.
You are suffocating! -20 HP
The dragon tried flapping its wings but Draiguk bit his teeth into the flapping wing and tore it into shreds. ¡°BryyaaAACk!¡± The dragon managed to scream as its wing was permanently scarred by this horrid man. Scarred was an understatement, as the dragon would be flightless at this rate.

¡°Shut the fuck up!¡± Draiguk slammed the dragon into the ground and smashed his boot against the skull of the dragon. On the surface of the dragon it was fine, but internally bone fragments had entered the dragon¡¯s brain and critically wounded it. The dragon would most likely die here by the hands of some travelling bandits.

The dragon¡¯s vision went black, along with all of its senses. After a calming breeze brushed by, the mirage of the blue dragon appeared to the red dragon like a surreal dream. The blue dragon stared at it with the same cold eyes as it had always done. The reminder of this dragon¡¯s existence for some reason perpetually angered the red dragon. Blood began pumping faster and faster throughout the dragon¡¯s body as its anger fostered into a more physical form.
Congratulations! Due to special circumstances you have unlocked a rare evolution at a young age. More choices have been created for you.
You have unlocked the Uncommon Dragon Realm!
Common Evolution Forced: Spiked Tail Common Evolution Forced: Sharp Claws Uncommon Evolution Forced: Angered Spirit of the Red Dragon
A red aura appeared around the dragon as it increased in size by about half of its original size. The wing began to heal and the internal injuries were immediately negated and dispelled. Its claws glinted out just a bit more and a spike appeared on the end of its tail which shot straight up into Draiguk¡¯s groin. The dragon¡¯s scales immediately hardened and became enriched with a hard red color that spontaneously swallowed the dragon whole. If someone from afar could see this scene, they would be witnessing a dragon against the odds unlocking the chambers he was not meant to enter. The dragon had simply reached so far into the jar, it had no intention of pulling out now that it was caught. It would instead force its hand through the bottom of the cookie jar and smash right through its problems. Right into the groin. The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. ¡°YeeekkK!¡± Draiguk perked up as the spiky tail stabbed him right through his pants and into his fleshy sweet spot. He slid off of the spiked tail and sprinted down the street in a painful vibration, blood spurting out in clumps. The other men stood dumbfounded. The blonde man didn¡¯t budge, but he was frozen as the dragon rose on its feet. The red dragon turned its head, its eyes were filled to the brim with a red glow and a hue of red came off of the dragon. It was elegant and beautiful, but terrifying and deadly at the same time. Blondie pulled his sword from his scabbard and prepared to duel the enraged dragon. The dragon launched itself at the man with incredible force, it had no state of reasoning for why it was doing this, but just that it was. Humans had left a bad taste in its mouth time after time again. It would no longer put up with the human race¡¯s shenanigans. Thus, the demon dragon was born. Teeth sank into Blondie¡¯s chest as the sword clearly chipped in half. ¡°Oh shit! Guys help!¡± He said, as he freaked out. The men began to lose their will to fight such a beast, realizing the crude and often brutal nature of the dragon was prime to their own survival. These creatures were often considered the top of the food chain for a reason, Blondie¡¯s head came clean off as the dragon didn¡¯t even bother eating it. It simply followed after the humans in a blood frenzy which none were likely to survive.

The men were quickly finished off in the woods as the dragon remembered the ugly image of Draiguk¡¯s scarred face. He remembered how he was especially at the root of his anger. The dragon then dashed from the forest and onto the street where he couldn¡¯t find the fleeing bandit leader. He couldn¡¯t even smell him due to all of the blood around. Luckily for Draiguk, he had knowledge of dragon¡¯s due to some man named Herald who wanted to talk about dragons in the middle of the street. If he just hid from the dragon¡¯s vision he should be fine, especially if it was a young inexperienced dragon. Draiguk held his breath behind the trunk of a large tree, his eyes remaining as calm as possible even though he was sure his dick had a hole in it, maybe a doctor in town could fix it with some kind of healing magic. For now, he needed to make sure he was safe from that damn dragon! Draiguk quickly dissipated from the scene and found refuge in the nearby town that the dragon had come from. A powerful killing aura drained from the dragon as it returned to its original form. The dragon immediately felt exhausted. Apparently it had activated some active skill evolution that allowed it to temporarily increase its speed and strength. The size of the dragon was a little bit bigger than before, and the dragon was leaps and bounds healthier in comparison to its former self. The wing was scarred from where it had been torn, but the evolution had regenerated the wing and healed the dragon. The dragon fell asleep shortly after scouting the area for threats. It needed time to rest. In comparison to the blue dragon, the red dragon was still behind. Maybe not as far, but the difference was still evident in nature. The red dragon was no longer the weak of the flock due to its slow-boiling hate for humans. The people had been far too cruel to the creature for it to ever show a glimpse of hospitality to them. A blue skinned dragon landed shortly after the red dragon had fallen asleep. It was clear that this was his brother, but the blue dragon was different from before. It was still a little bit bigger than the red dragon, although the gap had greatly decreased. It had the markings of horns that were about to pop out of its head and it had a yellow mark along its wings that was just now blossoming out. The dragon had clearly grown, but for what reason was it here to see its weaker brother? The late brother? They were completely different in every regard, but the blue dragon showed interest in his little brother. A few more dragons landed beside the blue dragon, they were from the same litter as before. It seems the blue dragon had gathered the strongest of the litter to his side and was up to something. The blue dragon began sniffing around the red dragon and deemed the time unworthy for him to join his pack. He did want a strong pack of dragons to protect him, because he had plans for his brothers and sisters. A pink dragon with feminine traits appeared to the blue dragon and began rubbing her head against his thick blue skin. They were too young to begin courting, but dragons made relationship bonds over many years. It was instinctive for this young female dragon to want to mate with the strongest of the pack in the years to come. This would mean strong traits for the babies and create a flock of better dragons. Although that¡¯s not what the pink dragon was thinking, it can be assumed this is natural dragon behavior. The blue dragon disregarded the pink dragon, and stepped over to his second in command. A brown dragon which was fairly large. The brown dragon was larger than the blue dragon, but lacked the proper intelligence to do anything noteworthy. Most of the dragons in the flock were dim colors, but the blue and red dragon¡¯s colors were distinct and bold. The alpha blue dragon decided it had seen enough. The red dragon was presently not ready to join his pack quite yet, at least it thought this. It hadn¡¯t seen the true potential of this red dragon. The blue dragon flapped its wings, bursting against the ground and bolting into the air. The dragon was fast! The other dragons were caught off guard as they stumbled into the air and followed their blue leader into the soaring skies above. The mellow colors of the leaves swayed as the dragons darted into the clouds and disappeared for their next objective. Things were changing for the poor little red dragon, but the blue dragon hadn¡¯t become obsolete either. The race to find purpose was heating up, and the dragons were soon going to realize that this world is much bigger than originally imagined. This world is too big, and ancient dragons with substantial knowledge exist, only from these dragons can the secrets of this world truly be revealed.

The Road Ahead 2 It felt like painful shards of glass entering Tommy¡¯s skull when he woke up. Shaking himself from the broken ceramic vase, he lifted himself to his feet only to be dizzy and catch himself on his palms. His legs and arms were weak and mellow from the recent brawl with the dragon. In short, Tommy was weak and he knew it. ¡°Why the fuck is it always me? I¡¯m not some freak! I-I have nothing left.¡± Tommy said, his voice breaking as tears flowed down from his eyes. ¡°Lady Roosta is surely dead, what have I left to live?¡± He questioned, beating his fists against the floor in frustration. The rubber of a boot could audibly be heard as Tommy cursed to himself. Tommy¡¯s slim figure was bare and bones, and stress was pronounced in his cheeks. This was the first thing people would notice about him. His black hair was the darkest black in the world and in contrast--he had the palest skin a man could harbor. Anything less, and he¡¯d be albino. His suit was prim and proper, beautiful and elegant, professional and noble. Yet, with all of these redeeming qualities, Tommy felt especially empty in this moment. ¡°Damn son, why don¡¯t ya shut the fuck up?¡± A man covered in bear skin popped into the scene sporadically and slapped Tommy on the back of the head. He likewise ate the floor as he was pushed forward embarrassingly. ¡°I come walking in to see a little pussy crying. Man-- grow some balls. If I¡¯ve ever seen someone burnt by a dragon, this woman surely qualifies.¡± The man in bear hide said, his ludicrous-blonde hair flowed down to his backside. He gave off the qualities of a barbarian tribesman but held the tongue of a city-douchebag. Tommy hesitantly turned around, his cheeks were flushed red as he whimpered, ¡°W-Who are you?¡± Tears ran down his eyes, he couldn¡¯t manage to make himself stand. His arms were too weak for him to push himself up. ¡°God damnit!¡± he screamed, ¡°Why can¡¯t I just be strong for fuck¡¯s sake!??¡± He said. ¡°Here, I¡¯ll help you up. You just had a brawl with a dragon, no need to beat yourself up about getting beaten. Dragon¡¯s are among the strongest creatures in the land. Naturally an ordinary person wouldn¡¯t be able to stand upright after battling even a baby dragon. You¡¯re lucky to be alive boy.¡± The blonde-haired man said. Tommy hesitantly took this man¡¯s hand--the one he had been slapped with, and pulled himself to his feet. He brushed his suit off instinctively with a disgusted look in his eyes. ¡°Again, who are you--since you¡¯re so knowledgeable of course.¡± He said sarcastically. ¡°I¡¯m Griggs, I¡¯m a silver-medallion beast-hunter, and you¡¯re damned right I¡¯m good at it.¡± He said. He put his masculine hands on his hips and boasted his raw power in a bodybuilder pose. He kissed his bicep and then shifted to kiss the other one. ¡°I¡¯m Tommy. So...that means you¡¯re average at best?¡± Tommy scratched his head in disappointment. He had hoped to get some kind of philosophical advice from a legendary beast-hunter, but he ended up getting a bodybuilder instead with long blonde hair...dressed in bear hide. Not that he was complaining though, he didn¡¯t necessarily have anything left to live for now that Lady Roosta was dead. A powerful, but hairy hand came upon Tommy¡¯s shoulder. ¡°Look son, I may only be a silver-medallion, but I¡¯m an experienced warrior of the land. I can train you to defend yourself.¡± Griggs said. His offer seemed perfect for the time and occasion as he continued, ¡°It won¡¯t be cheap, but I¡¯ll train you like a warrior!¡± He said with a manly smile. ¡°Okay but...what¡¯s the catch?¡± Tommy said, killing the vibe. ¡°Catch? What catch?¡± Griggs asked innocently. Tommy swore that his face twitched almost nervously at one point, but he couldn¡¯t focus due to the enormous grip that emasculated his shoulder like a brick. The pain continued to increase as Griggs became more nervous, and Tommy decided he¡¯d had enough. ¡°Okay, take your hand off of me.¡± Griggs let go of him, ¡°First of all, why would I trust a total stranger who came out of nowhere and offered me ¡®training¡¯? You¡¯re in a distinguished noble¡¯s house and nonchalantly walked in without permission! You expect me to trust you even though none of what you¡¯ve done thus far has been anything more than comical and illogical? What horse-shit!¡± Tommy spat in Griggs face. Griggs wiped his face, calmly holding back the immeasurable amount of anger fermenting inside of him. He wanted to beat the shit out of this boy, and the tightly clenched fists were enough to prove so. ¡°Stop being such a skeptic, the door was open and I happened to have business with Lady Roosta before I found things like this. She had sent a letter over, telling me she wanted to know what she could do with the dragon...but it seems to have gotten away.¡± He said. Tommy was suddenly overwhelmed with heartbreak, Lady Roosta hadn¡¯t told him of this incident. ¡°W-Well, as long as that was all, then it shouldn¡¯t be a problem. I will take you up on your offer. But let¡¯s get this straight, I¡¯m paying you out of what I ¡®inherit¡¯ from Lady Roosta. You are not to speak of this to anyone got it?¡± Tommy looked the beastly man up and down for dishonesty.Reading on Amazon or a pirate site? This novel is from Royal Road. Support the author by reading it there. ¡°I¡¯ll take it as a deal, you have my word I will not speak of your sins.¡± He said with a thumbs up. He didn¡¯t care where the money came from, just that he had some coming in. A silver-medallion hunter wasn¡¯t exactly the best paying job, and this would definitely help Griggs get himself on his feet for the future. What a rare instance it was, but it was necessary. ¡°I¡¯ll be sending half of the money over to my sister¡¯s cottage in the far east from here, and the rest I will pay you by day. Does that sound fair?¡± Tommy asked. He collected a golden chalice from the shelf and stowed it away into a sack. He looted the place completely from head to toe with the help of Griggs. ¡°Yeah, that sounds fair. As long as you keep your end of the deal, we will have no problems at all! First on the agenda, we should probably find that dragon. It would make us a large sum of cash at once.¡± Griggs said. He pulled a dusty book off from the shelf, wiping its cover before reading the words aloud, ¡°Lady Roosta¡¯s Sex Diary?¡± ¡°Yeah that sounds like a plan to m-¡± Tommy was immediately washed with the memories of his sordid acts with the Lady, ¡°Give me that!¡± His grasp was tight and strong on the book as a tug of war ensued between the skinny man and the outrageous body-builder. ¡°Just give me the book! Please!¡± His grip was slipping from the diary. Griggs had a confused complexion as he slowly pulled the book toward himself, he strained to take the book for himself. ¡°What--where did this strength come from?!¡± Griggs exclaimed, he put his second hand on the book before planting his feet. ¡° His face began to turn red. The devil had unleashed within Tommy¡¯s figure, as he stood confidently and bold with one hand on the book. A black aura had consumed him figuratively, his eyes were grim with determination. The book was pulling toward Tommy¡¯s side of the battle and then back toward Griggs. It was then that Tommy realized his freak-desperation strength could only last so long. His hands began to slip, and his world began to unravel into an embarrassing life of shame. But no, Tommy wouldn¡¯t let his puny form become punier. ¡°Okay, FUCKING fine! I was occasionally getting fucked by Lady Roosta and I was the bottom, but no...I wasn¡¯t into it! You see, she forced me and--¡± A hardy laugh erupted from Griggs as he flailed back in jovial excitement, ¡°Damn kid, Lady Roosta had told me some stories, but you sure make it surreal! To tell you the truth, I¡¯ve known this whole time about it. Not that I can really read that well anyways.¡± Griggs threw the book back to Tommy who was completely red. Tommy couldn¡¯t thinks straight. Who else had Lady Roosta told about their intimate sexual relationship? The activities they participated in were beyond the description of just ¡®lewd.¡¯ If Tommy was known for these acts, he¡¯d surely be looked down upon in society. He had limited knowledge of the outside world, but what he truly was ignorant of was his standing socially. He¡¯d been a servant for most of his life. ¡°Yeah¡..¡± Tommy swallowed deeply and grabbed his sack with the chalice in it. He would need some time to recover from that blow. He was devastated, horrified, and more than anything, embarrassed. What would his sister think of him? Had she also known about his sins and continued to shamelessly take his money?! Griggs had found a bottle of alcohol, he began to sip on it as he admired the detailed construction of the mansion. The architect who had built this was surely of a higher existence. ¡°Who built this place if I may ask?¡± He asked. The alcohol began to disappear into his throat. Tommy switched gears, taking this opportunity to recover from his misdemeanors, ¡°Ahh. The mansion was built by Ser Rye of the Duke¡¯s Council. He is the duke¡¯s architect, and is widely recognized throughout the kingdom for having one of the finest eyes for art.¡± ¡°Ser Rye huh? That¡¯s an interesting name. I will definitely remember that name, and once I¡¯m a legendary hero I¡¯ll get him to build my mansion too.¡± Griggs said with the taint smell of alcohol invading Tommy¡¯s nostrils. Tommy was quite annoyed he wasn¡¯t the one drinking at the moment. After all, he had a deathly problem with the stuff. A moment of silence passed as the two held eye contact. Tommy¡¯s mind began to drift back to the earlier incident, but quickly shifted back to the task at hand. ¡°Should we get moving now? I figure it would be best that we capture that dragon and sell it.¡± Tommy said, proposing his knowledge to the seasoned hunter. ¡°Yeah, we could do that. It would be fair to get you some gear with that money. After all you¡¯re paying me to help you become a man with Lady Roosta¡¯s money. Would you be interested in joining the adventurer''s guild? You could serve the land, and earn fame through the rankings!¡± Griggs said. ¡°No, for now let us continue as we¡¯ve planned. I have no intentions of living a life of danger, I only want to be able to defend myself in the case of a circumstance like the one that occured today, and that is your job. To prepare me. Got it Griggs?¡± Tommy said, putting his hand on Grigg¡¯s shoulder. Griggs once again smiled with a manly posture. ¡°I got it. Your first task at becoming a man is to hold my shit and keep up with me.¡± He said, putting a large bag of junk in Tommy¡¯s arms. Tommy nearly crumbled at the weight of the bag, he felt like he was drowning in a metallic ocean. ¡°O--O-Okay!¡± He struggled under his breath to carry the junk, his legs were trembling as the two newly-acquainted men walked out of the mansion without a second glance. Griggs carried his pay along his back with a single sword at his waist. His chainmail armor was neatly tucked under the hides of the bear skin as he walked. A new life had began for Tommy, and only the road ahead could lead him to the answers he sought for. Would his life entail that of an adventurer--or would he be known as the town pervert? Only time could tell. The Road Ahead 3 Night began to settle as the dragon awoke from its much needed nap. It felt manifolds stronger in comparison to before. It remember Draiguk and how he¡¯d gotten away. This pissed it off. The dragon had an ambition to kill Draiguk now, and it would stop at nothing to quench its thirst. It flapped its wings and tried to fly, resulting in its temporary glide before it came crashing back down to the ground.

Some things just never change do they? The dragon resorted to walking, it had no recollection of where it had come from though. So it instead just decided to walk away from Lady Roosta¡¯s mansion, because anywhere is better than captivity. The road ahead led to the town where the dragon had originally been taken, yet it didn¡¯t know this as it blindly walked toward the confinements of the outer village. The forest around the trail began to thin as farmlands came into view, along with the cottages of the farmers. Crickets and bugs began to chime as night set in even more. The dragon couldn¡¯t see very well, but it strained its eyes to see the colors more clearly. The images flowed in a little more clearly as the dragon trampled over some crops. It had no knowledge of paths, and would go wherever it felt like of course. A young woman was standing outside on her porch as she admired the stars that came into perspective. She made a fatal mistake not to notice the dragon who was trampling her crops. Furthermore, she was singing a tune in a nice hum. The hum was not so nice to the dragon who had a bad taste in his mouth when it came to humans. Not that they didn¡¯t taste good, just that he preferred to be alone rather than with humans. The woman with brown goldilocks of hair noticed the dragon just shy of her porch and immediately screamed. ¡°Oh my god! Shane! Get out here, it-it¡¯s a dragon!¡± She screamed, hiding behind the rocking chair that had been handcrafted. ¡°Shane please help!¡± She begged. The dragon felt enraged that a creature could make such a disgusting noise. It crept up the steps like a slithering snake. A bare-chested man came out with a pitch fork, ¡°Back up! Get down!¡± He screamed, stabbing the fork at the dragon¡¯s torso, only for it to bounce off of the hardened scales. Shane¡¯s bones were shaking from the ricocheted impact. ¡°Damnit all to hell! I¡¯ve never seen a dragon in my life, how come I see one now!?¡± He asked himself. Shane tried to scoop the dragon up with the pitch fork and chunk him off the porch, but it failed. The dragon leapt up onto Shane¡¯s chest, prying its claws into his muscle mass and biting deeply into the hind of his neck. The teeth were sharp and carnivorous, sinking deep into the raw meat of the living man. The dragon used its jaws to pry the meat together and rip it from its tether. ¡°Oh shit!¡± Shane whimpered and let out a hell-hurdling scream as he came toppling to the ground. He couldn¡¯t force the dragon off of him, but instead helped the dragon swallow a parcel of his own meat. A gashing hole was left in the man¡¯s neck as blood gushed out. He began to die as his wife had already started to run through the field and away from the cottage.

The dragon couldn¡¯t read anything that the prompts had been saying thus far, so it couldn¡¯t decide between two choices confidently. All it knew was that it wanted to eat, therefore, he needed to make the screen disappear by choosing one of the options available to him. The dragon clicked one of the choices and something clicked in its brain.

The dragon could grasp many new things. One, these red prompt were trying to ¡®tell¡¯ it something important. It was trying to tell it something with the concept of words. Two, languages were a good thing and he needed more of them to understand this world. All of this was something it wanted to keep in mind. As it feasted on the man¡¯s corpse, it remembered what the human had said before his eventful death. ¡°Sziyat!¡± The dragon said. It attempted at mocking the man¡¯s words while it consumed the man itself. While it was a disappointing attempt at mocking him, the dragon had made a major milestone in language. It had spoken its very first word. Shane¡¯s wife was now over the horizon, her shamefulness would forever be remembered until she was attacked by some goblins later in the night. The dragon cascaded itself in the blood of Shane¡¯s corpse, burrowing deep inside until it found the rich organs and consumed them fully. The dragon was now full, leaving Shane mutilated on the porch. Tommy¡¯s POV: Tommy had gotten used to carrying the load of the junk in his arms after a few minutes of struggle. He followed the strong, masculine Griggs. They were travelling along the path until they found a fresh scene of murder alongside the road. Several men lay dead and mutilated, half were in the forest and half were on the path. Blood trails were spewed all over the place and the familiar track of a dragon¡¯s paw was clearly made in the sand. ¡°Oh god.¡± Tommy said, dropping the junk onto the ground and vomiting vehemently. Griggs simply ignored the sordid man, and began searching the scene for more clues. ¡°I found something.¡± Griggs pointed to a hot pile of poop. ¡°I¡¯ll have to taste it to make sure it¡¯s that of a dragon¡¯s.¡± Griggs crouched down beside the pile of droppings.Love this story? Tommy barely had time to recover from his vomiting session before Griggs decided to eat the shit, but luckily he had made it in time. He grabbed Grigg¡¯s wrist right before he touched the poop. ¡°I¡¯m sure its the dragon Griggs, are you fucking stupid? You see all of these dead men and you see a dragon¡¯s footprints and you need to eat its shit to verify?!¡± Tommy exclaimed, he stomped his shoe into the shit with an angry expression plastered across his face. ¡°Are you even a silver-medallion beast-hunter or not?¡± He asked. Griggs stood up with a serious expression. ¡°Yeah I am, let¡¯s go smartass. Carry this too.¡± Griggs said, throwing another bag upon Tommy to carry. He was clearly offended by Tommy¡¯s harsh words. Tommy cringed at the thought of carrying more. ¡°Curse you damn dragon!¡± He said, picking up both sacks and carrying them the best he could. They left the scene and began to follow the dragon tracks closely. Dragon¡¯s POV: The dragon was far from the cottage now, in the middle of the field with nothing but crops around it. Well...that and the sounds of a screaming woman and laughing goblins, but the dragon had no interest in such things. It simply sought knowledge and power. Which this boring field contained none of. The dragon could see a bunch of square objects standing out of the ground in the distance. They had triangular tops and mellow colors. It was obvious that something ¡®living¡¯ had been the works of these creations. The dragon was stuffed to the brim with human flesh, but that didn¡¯t stop it from its ambitious goals! It wanted to fly, so it would try flying again! The dragon flapped its wings against the ground and took off. The wind felt nice against the dragon, its wings fluttering up and down and to the...ground. SMACHK.

It gave up on trying to fly again, but the dragon¡¯s wings felt a little sturdier and its body felt lighter after that last prompt. The dragon stumbled to its feet and waddled off to the little town in which it had came from. Darkness had consumed the sky, and the moon was almost full. The dragon ventured into the town¡¯s construct. The dragon wagged its tail like a dog as it caught the whiff of something delicious. The remedy for gluttony was the aroma of something delicious after all, and this dragon was no stranger to gluttony. It followed the smell until it found the dead remains of a lynched man. The man was old and feeble looking, his pale skin insinuated he¡¯d been dead for a few hours at the minimum. In reality, the dragon was still too young to remember much from many days before. This man had once saved the life of the red dragon, and he was now the dinner of his own business. The dragon greedily bit at the man''s legs as if it were trying to taste a sour version of candy. The candy being human flesh. Herald¡¯s old flesh was succulent in some spots, but rather taint in others. The dragon found it to be an okay taste, but it preferred the taste of fresh human flesh. Herald¡¯s legs were left partially missing as the dragon fed on his bottom half. The corrupt nature of this town had led to Herald¡¯s unfortunate execution. The man had never been exactly loved anyways. The knights had gotten their way after all, obtaining the final laugh in a hot debate of morality that never existed. This was the law of the land, pay up or die. The Duke¡¯s laws were morbid but effective, his tight grasp on the people was a surefire way of harboring power over his rivals. The dragon could hear laughter emanating from the inside of one of the buildings, ¡°Haha! That damn old man was so obsessed with dragons--I was so glad I got the honor to hang that bastard!¡± A man said. The building erupted in laughter. The smell of alcohol was potent to the dragon. It sensed danger nearby. ¡°Ahahah! You know that old fart has a daughter right? We should go pay her a visit tonight after we get our share of drinks! Isn¡¯t that right bartender?¡± The blonde knight said through the window, his drunken state leaned over the counter as he made explicit eye contact with the lady bartender. ¡°Or would you rather have a good time with us?¡± He put his hand on her chin as she rubbed a glass. ¡°N-No! Go have fun with someone else, just keep your hands off of me.¡± She said in a timid voice, turning away from the drunk men. The blonde knight frowned as he stepped down and sat back in his chair with a wobble in his step. ¡°Some girls just ain¡¯t fun. Well what d¡¯ya say boys? Cheers to old-man¡¯s daughter!¡± He said with a hiccup. The other men screamed, putting their glasses into the air and cheering for the fun times ahead for them. That would be the case if a certain red dragon hadn¡¯t been pissed off by the jovial sounds of humans once more. After all of the flesh it had eaten, the dragon burped a flame geyser into the wooden framework of the building. The wood caught the fire with relative ease as it began to silently spread from underneath. Apparently burping calmed the dragon down, as it had long forgotten about the men inside.

The underside of the inn began to catch fire, and smoke began to rise. The smell of burning wood was strong and suddenly filled the nostrils of the Duke¡¯s knights. ¡°Hey-hey! Something¡¯s burning!¡± A knight shouted, and the room immediately erupted in confusion. Some denied the initial evaluations, while others supported his theory. They soon recognized flames swallowing the building whole and the room erupted into a large fire. The knights were so drunk that they could barely walk, most of them stumbled out of the inn while a few others tried to extinguish the flames with elemental magic. The bartender stood behind the blonde knight outside as the building lit up the sky with a bright light. ¡°Arkion, what sick fuck would do this?!¡± A knight screamed to the blonde-headed knight. Arkion looked around for a culprit as the other knights began to sober up. They quickly worked on extinguishing the flames until Arkion¡¯s eyes met the eyes of another creature. The red dragon watched curiously as he fed on Herald¡¯s lower half. Those innocent eyes were almost comical to Arkion. ¡°You son of a bitch.¡±

The Road Ahead 4 The still-small dragon understood that Arkion was looking straight at him, but it was hardly a concern to the dragon at this point. Honestly, the red dragon had killed enough people to become overconfident with its status on the food chain. It truly believed nothing in this world could topple it in that category. ¡°I''ll show you what happens when you mess with me!¡± Arkion said, which was rather cliche for a pretty boy to say. He brought the hilt of his sword to his chest and hardened his form toward the dragon, who was still munching on some flesh. Did the dragon ever stop eating? Arkion charged into the dragon, holding the sword downward so he could impale the dragon. The dragon narrowly avoided the strike by sidestepping the knight. Arkion came tumbling down to the ground with a roll as his armor made crinkling noises against the dirt. ¡°Damnit!¡± He pushed himself up. The bronze patch on his armor signified he was merely a recruit in the army. Knights in this realm were plentiful and weak. The strongest knights were heralded as knight supremes, and they themselves were another breed of human. Genetics so pure and dominant that they unveil a new realm of combat. Unfortunately, for Arkion, this was the end of the road for him. Unless something changed within him and he managed to fight back against the incredible ferocity of the dragon. The dragon growled, a red aura coating its skin as it felt the danger of the sword swaying near. ¡°Syizat!¡± The dragon said, narrowly dodging the lining of the sword once more. Arkion was taken back from the dragon¡¯s words. He didn¡¯t know creatures of this nature could speak. The dragon flapped its wings hard into the air and scratched at Arkion¡¯s armor. A futile attempt left a claw mark on the armor of his chestplate. ¡°You¡¯re the devil!¡± He said, giving an overhead strike with his sword as the red dragon grew in size due to his special evolution state. The angered spirit of the red dragon allowed the dragon to become faster, stronger, and even larger. This would allow the dragon to fight against enemies above his level. Arkion surely was. ¡°Dragons, dragons, and fucking dragons!¡± Arkion swung his sword, ¡°The lords always go on and on about the strength of such a creature! But what is this? You are merely a grain in the sand of time and you contest me?!¡± Arkion said, his breathe leaving him as his sword clattered against the wall of a building. The dragon could sense the rage burning within the man. He couldn¡¯t understand the anger that bottled within him, only that he should succumb to the food chain. This red dragon only knew dominance, and he would not falter here. White claws of the dragon scratched against the metal of the sword in a cosmic duo. The dragon was only but a few days old, while the knight had prepared many years for battle. The resemblance of training would show as the dragon lost the clash of arms. The dragon fluttered its wings back and stomped against the ground. Its claw began to bleed, a slight trail of blood lined Arkion¡¯s sword. ¡°So you¡¯re not as strong as you once act eh?¡± He said with an arrogant smile. The knights in the background were winning the battle against the flame as the charred wood began to stink up the area around. Arkion slashed his sword in the air and then ran at the dragon, his feet pounding against the mushy dirt in the night. The dragon whipped its spiked tail around and stabbed Arkion in his kneecap, he responded by buckling over to the ground. ¡°Shit!¡± Arkion screamed, holding his knee cap in immeasurable bolts of pain. It felt as if a dagger had entered his bone while the bone continued to crack around the metal dagger. Blood glistened out like a river of velvet. ¡°Sziyaat!¡± The dragon said, mocking the bronze-ranked knight. He retracted his tail from the knight¡¯s knee cap, as he walked around the perimeter of the knight. His tail twitched as it yearned to stab right through the neck of the knight. Before he could do so, he was restrained by some foreign knights. The other knights had extinguished the flame, but these were of a different unit that had arrived. ¡°I got him! Bring me a net.¡± The knight in full armor said. This particular knight was strong and muscular, his armor had a silver patch on its side. Another knight with the same brand came over and bagged the dragon as it struggled to pry itself from captivity. ¡°W-Who are you?!¡± Arkion asked under the excruciating amounts of pain. The full-armored knights glanced over but did not give him an answer. ¡°A-Answer me!¡± Arkion yelled, his pitiful state was an eyesore to the knights. The lead knight who had captured the dragon looked back to his men. ¡°Let¡¯s roll out. The Duke is expecting our return. We shouldn¡¯t waste our time with these bottom feeders. The kingdom needs less trash like you.¡± The silver-branded knights left the scene without another glance. They had red capes with beautiful plate armor. These were real knights. Arkion felt like a fraud. He and his drunk crew were nothing but a shit stain compared to the rest of the army. They were militia in armor, and even worse humans than those knights. ¡°God damnit.¡± Arkion crumbled to the ground, crying in disbelief. His sword was covered in dirt as the sky began to drizzle a light rain. Arkion¡¯s physical pain was lackluster in compared to the shame of his posture.Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site. He had been defeated by a baby dragon and he had known it. ¡°Don¡¯t let it fool you Arkion, that was no normal dragon¡.was it?¡± He said to himself. The other knights had sobered up, and were just standing around awkwardly, awaiting Arkion¡¯s orders. The building was no longer on fire, which was a good thing for the town. ****************************** ¡°Robin, take the dragon. The duke will want to see if this dragon is worthy.¡± The head knight of the company said. He mounted his horse, throwing the sack to Robin. Robin was in full armor as well. He took the sack with ease, the dragon inside was still trying to escape. ¡°Sir Orion, may I knock the dragon out? It¡¯s a feisty one.¡± He said, throwing the sack into his other hand. Robin saddled his horse, a flow of black hair was peering out of the back of his helmet. ¡°No, Duke Rebech wouldn¡¯t approve of such acts without his warrant. Why should I give you permission to do something so immoral? Contain yourself knight.¡± Orion said to Robin. Robin immediately tied the satchel to his belt without question. His boss¡¯s decision was final and absolute, he was not to question it regardless of the circumstances. ¡°Yes sir.¡± The horses took off, and the knights made way to Trigua City, the capital settlement of the Duke¡¯s territory. ¡°What¡¯s our arrival time?¡± Robin asked. He glanced toward the dragon who had calmed down a bit. The dragon was tired from all of the quick movements and was suffering from the effects of the angered spirit. He wasn¡¯t a tank, but more of a glasscannon. ¡°We will be in Trigua City in about two days if we take two breaks.¡± Orion said. He never turned his head or veered his eyes off from his objective. Orion was determined to do everything perfectly, honoring the Duke¡¯s name to the end of his life. Even if it costed his life, he¡¯d never refute the duke. These were the standards of being a true knight. A hint of tree sap entered the nostrils of the dragon as it began to calm down. It had a new destination ahead of it, and the fact that it accepted that meant it had matured. It knew at some point it would be able to escape, but instead it saw this as an opportunity to gather more knowledge of this world--and eat more things.

Tommy¡¯s POV: Tommy and Griggs walked alongside of one another until they stumbled upon a cottage. The cottage was surrounded by crops and other things of that nature. The smell of fresh blood filled the nostrils of the two men. Griggs pulled out his weapon and then looked back at Tommy. ¡°Put the sacks down. We might have a situation here.¡± Tommy sighed, chunking the loud sacks to the ground and making a great deal of noise doing so. Griggs gave him a look of anger, ¡°What are you doing?! Be quiet dumbass!¡± He yelled, and then cupped his mouth. Griggs wasn¡¯t the brightest of the bunch, neither was Tommy though. ¡°HAH! Hypocrite.¡± He smiled, following behind Griggs as they stepped up onto the porch. They investigated the body, holding their noses so they wouldn¡¯t--nevermind. Tommy started puking over the fencing, his throat unleashed a wave of lunch as he tried to contain himself. The idea of seeing dead people had never crossed his mind, and this was far more gruesome than dusting the floor. ¡°The man was definitely killed by something with claws.¡± Griggs was practically inside of the hole in his neck as he peered deep into the gashing hole. ¡°I¡¯m going to need to reach my hand inside his wound and verify this though.¡± Griggs said, sticking his hand down its depths. Tommy turned, ¡°Why are you like this?! Of course it was the dragon you damn idiot! If you¡¯re a silver-medallion hunter I could be gold--I swear it!¡± He pouted, running off the porch and spitting into the field. He could see the town up ahead, smelling the taint aroma of burnt wood in the air. It was strange, because he could see where the smoke was drifting into the sky from the town even in the dark. As he stared into the distance, he could see the stampede of horses heading away from the town. The men on the horses seemed to be knights of some capacity. They rode in dignity without fault along the path as they took another route away from town. It was a strange turn of events. The knights leaving the town after a fire was put out? Usually they¡¯d stay for a while and make sure nothing else caught fire. The only thing Tommy could envision is that an urgent letter was sent to the knights from the duke himself. ¡°Yeah, after thorough investigation, I can confirm the cause of death was baby dragon!¡± A laugh erupted from behind Tommy. Griggs put his masculine hand on Tommy¡¯s shoulder, only for Tommy to spazz out from the sight of blood. ¡°Get-get that off of me you freak!¡± He screamed like a girl, scrambling to the ground and whimpering among the crops. ¡°I-You¡¯re crazy! Why the fuck would you put your hand down a dead man¡¯s wound? I can¡¯t believe I¡¯m continuing to work with you...oh God have mercy on my soul¡¡± Tommy put his hand against his face as he tried to compose himself. ¡°You¡¯re right. I just like fucking with you.¡± He said, a smug face washing over Griggs like he had purposefully done it this entire time. He walked closer to Tommy, ¡°Here, I¡¯m sorry for messing with you so much. I promise to be a better guide TomTom.¡± He said, throwing his hand out to pull Tommy up from the weeds below him. Tommy clasped his hand with Griggs, his eyes closed, as he felt a rubbery and silky substance mesh against his hand. He opened his eyes to be met with dripping red blood around Grigg¡¯s and his own hand. His heart immediately dropped, and the first thing he recognized was Grigg¡¯s super-smug face. ¡°Oops, this was the hand I used earlier.¡± ¡°...¡± Tommy felt anger at every doorstep. He pushed it below the bridge and lifted himself up. ¡°No, it¡¯s fine. Just a harmless joke after all.¡± He said to Griggs. His eye twitched as he began monotonously walking in a straight direction. Had he snapped? The Road Ahead 5 The crystalline color of the creature¡¯s spiked tail was a great commodity even among most common dragons, and this one was a rarity above common. The uncommon red dragon opened its groggy eyes as it tried to process its surroundings. It couldn''t see past the brown fabric of the bag though, similarly it couldn''t understand why it''s claws, nor its teeth couldn''t cut through this fabric. Apparently the dragon had fallen asleep during its prolonged state of meditation. A vibrancy of sporadic energy funneled through the dragon.

Through the tied knot of the bag came a fairly large hand. On the hand was the gauntlet of a knight, as its big fingertips wrapped around the dragon¡¯s frame. The dragon struggled, its teeth sunk into the gauntlet, only to be denied any sort of reaction except the unpleasant sensation of metal against teeth. ¡°Mehyuan¡.¡± The dragon said, trying to articulate once more but failing splendidly. Its eyes were met with beautiful colors of green and blue with a hint of white. The puffy clouds and layered trees in the background were a sight to see. The knights were all resting against trees and eating. Some were napping while they had the time. Sir Orion took his helmet off, he had strange, white and stubbly hair. His clear resonate eyes were beautiful and almost crystal-like. A long black-haired man came into view with the red dragon in hand. Robin handed Sir Orion the dragon, ¡°Sir, the dragon is healthy. Your daily examination?¡± Orion took the dragon in his hand, rolling it around as it struggled to pry itself free from his super grip. ¡°This is a fine dragon. Its tail is seriously sharp, and its scales are as hard as metal. I¡¯ve never actually had my hands on a dragon of this tier. What a fine specimen. Hopefully Duke Rebech will be pleased with our gift to him.¡± Orion said, handing the dragon back to Robin. He looked into Robin¡¯s dark eyes. ¡°Let the dragon have some air and give it time to use the bathroom. The last thing we want to do is present the dragon to the duke with it being covered in its own waste.¡± Orion turned around and addressed other knights, assessing the situation and deliberately raising the general morale. He was a great leader in these aspects and often talked to his men deeply about their problems. ¡°I figure it will take us another day to reach Trigua sir.¡± Thabbock said. Thabbock was the fattest built of the knights, he wasn¡¯t necessarily strong but he was smart in the ways of the land. Thabbok had been born of a mountain tribe and had plenty of game animals to eat in his younger years. The man was a noble in the mountains, but only a commoner here in the Duke¡¯s territory. Heritage wasn¡¯t universal after all. Thabbok¡¯s glossy brown eyes blinked as he awaited a response from his commander. He wasn¡¯t sure if Orion was ignoring him or if he just hadn¡¯t heard him. ¡°Did you hear me sir?¡± Thabbok repeated himself, hoping he¡¯d receive some form of acknowledgment for his precise calculation. Orion turned to Thabbok. ¡°I¡¯m sorry, I don¡¯t talk to thieves.¡± He said with a nonchalant face before turning back around to rummage through a box. The sarcastic hint in his voice alluded to an earlier problem between the knights. Someone before the trip had stolen all of the rations and ate them for himself. Orion found enough evidence to conclude that Thabbok was the traitor, and he strictly despised him for this. ¡°As soon as we get back to the keep, I¡¯m taking you off of my squad.¡± Thabbok fell to his knees, crying in guilt and shame. His obsessive habit of eating had left him in dire straights. Being apart of Orion¡¯s squad was an honor not many knights in the duchy got the opportunity to brag about. After all, Orion was the up and coming hero of the land. One of the many potential legends to enter the books and tales of time. ¡°Shut your ass up. We serve the duke, and that is my dream. To serve a man till death.¡± Orion slapped Thabbok so hard he crashed to the ground. Everybody turned their heads to see the commotion, but simply disregarded it. They didn¡¯t want to be apart of Orion¡¯s beatings. ¡°Come on damnit! Use the bathroom already.¡± Robin shook the dragon intensely. For some reason at this odd time, the dragon began seeing hallucinations of many varieties. The image of the cave in which it had originated from and the flock of brothers and sisters it once was acquainted with. It realized it had purpose. The dragon had finally matured enough to have a brain beyond that of a rock. Its mother was somewhere out there, and his brothers and sisters possibly needed him more than ever right now. Consequently, the dragon¡¯s spontaneous memory relapse resulted in the sporadic muscle movement of its tail into Robin¡¯s armor and into his arm. ¡°Shit! You fucking vermin!¡± Robin sent an iron fist at the dragon¡¯s body, detaching it from his arm as it flopped to the ground. The dragon was still in its trance of memory realization. He had originally planned on taking his family of dragons back together but had gotten lost in his path somewhere along the way. Although he was hesitant to shift the blame to his gorging habits¡

The dragon narrowly avoided the strike of Robin¡¯s boot. Adrenaline still pumped through both parties as they participated in a minor exchange. Most of the dragon¡¯s attacks were instinctive with its tail and claws. It knew better than to bite at the substance the man was wearing, doing so would simply serve as a modest discomfort. The dragon flapped its wings into the air and sliced its claw at Robin¡¯s cheek. He maimed his face with the indention of the three claws that had dug into his skin. ¡°Ahhhh!¡± Robin stumbled backwards onto his back. This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. A bunch of knights took initiative to protect the injured Robin. ¡°Grab the dragon, somebody quick!¡± Orion was the last to arrive as he bolted into action. ¡°Don¡¯t just stand there! Before he flies away!¡± Orion screamed as he lunged for the dragon. Luckily for the dragon, no one knew it couldn¡¯t fly. Although the mentioning of the word ¡°fly¡± surely made the dragon blush a little out of embarrassment. The dragon felt morbidly offended from that last comment that it barely managed to process, it also began fidgeting around, trying to surmise a plan to get out of this crutch. Darting through the legs of an unsuspecting knight, the dragon found a shimmer of refuge as he throttled his legs against the ground. The knights kept carving the dragon¡¯s path to a new one, causing the dragon to zig zag, and allowing it to cause confusion in the camp. ¡°GRYYyyaAhh!¡± It screamed, a mixture of frustration and other emotions consumed the dragon.

The dragon obtained an agility boost, although it had no time to delight in its recent growth. The dragon felt more nimble on his feet, grabbing a firm grasp against the dirt as he ran away from the encampment and into the woods. He was gone, and there was no way the knights would be able to catch him on foot at this point. ¡°Szzziyaaht!¡± The dragon heaved for air, collapsing behind a tree and closing its eyes. ¡°Broweteyr¡¡± His eyes fluttered open, as his memories of his siblings returned to him. The blue dragon was especially prominent in the mind of the red dragon. Where was he, and how could he call upon his siblings? Were they in danger? Could he even find them? So many questions ran through the dragons mind, as he matured at an exponential rate. A rustling bush caught the attention of the dragon, his breathing faltered to a halt. An orange head popped through the bush, munching on some grass. ¡°Ratarooo!¡± The orange-wooled herbivore growled. It was a strange variant of sheep, with orange wool and black skin. Why did it go rataroo? The world may never know. It stared at the dragon with uncaring eyes, more specifically a strong disinterest. Not that it offended the dragon, but he wanted to be recognized as a predator by all creatures. This one was no different. The sheep continued to munch on grass as the dragon¡¯s stomach made a loud groan to be filled. The dragon¡¯s onslaught never ended. He was about to take a delicious bite out of this sheep when it spat in his face. ¡°What the fuck do you think you¡¯re doing kid?¡± The dragon¡¯s heart nearly fainted as the sheep clearly articulated human language as if it were nothing whatsoever. It had no way of describing how dumbfounded it was right now, the sheep had defied all logic. Although the dragon itself didn¡¯t understand it was an abnormality itself. ¡°Tuyahlik?!¡± It said, trying to express itself to the sheep, but failing to make any comprehensive question. The sheep looked over the dragon as it tried to gain answers. It was clearly a class above the dragon or anything else in this forest. The poor little dragon just sat back on its ass, not understanding what the sheep was doing. The knights were hustling into the forest after the dragon, spotting the duo instantly. How could anyone miss a pink sheep and a baby dragon together after all? ¡°Looks like you¡¯ve brought trouble kid. I¡¯ll help you out this one time.¡± The sheep brought its hoof to the air, a magic circle sprouted out of nothing like a blue ancient language. A solar yellow beam emerged from the magic circle and punctured through the heart of one of the knights. ¡°W-What the fuck?!¡± The other knight screamed, before recklessly charging at the sheep with his sword. He was a silver-knight, but anyone would lose their composure after seeing this display. The sword clashed against the sheep¡¯s hoof, but the orange sheep opened his mouth and released a hellfire from the pit of his stomach. It burnt the top of the knight to a crisp, as the blade smacked against the ground. ¡°Let¡¯s go kid, we gotta¡¯ get out of here. Otherwise we¡¯ll be hunt down by an obnoxious number of that duke¡¯s knights.¡± The sheep stated. The dragon couldn¡¯t comprehend that much, but the sheep didn¡¯t hesitate in picking up the dragon with its teeth. It galloped away, finding refuge deeper in the forest and away from any human activity for a good five miles. ¡°Look kid, find somewhere else to go because I don¡¯t wanna babysit you.¡± The sheep said, pushing the dragon away. The red dragon was conflicted in its heart, not knowing what to do with this sheep, nor what it wanted. It was pushing it away, but it had also killed those knights with strange powers he found amazing! ¡°Nyahhhh!¡± It said, clawing the sheep¡¯s leg as it tried to guide him somewhere else. The orange goat sighed, removing his hoof from the dragon¡¯s body. He looked the dragon up and down before articulating with his sheep tongue. ¡°Fine, I don¡¯t feel like killing you. Although I¡¯m sure you don¡¯t understand a word I¡¯m saying.¡± He rolled his eyes and then brought his hoof to himself. ¡°I¡¯m an orange sheep as you know. You can call me Sal though. That¡¯s my name. What¡¯s your name little fella?¡± He put his hoof down. ¡°Oreep!¡± The dragon bounced up and down, like a happy baby that it was. Regardless, it couldn¡¯t process its true dilemma to the sheep. ¡°No. My name is Sal, not Oreep.¡± He said with a groan, the depression was in his eyes. This dragon was fucking stupid wasn¡¯t he? How could such a dragon exist? The sheep thought long and hard about how ancient dragons were the elder gods of this world, while this one brought shame to the name. ¡°Oreep! Oreep!¡± The dragon began breathing fire, catching the vegetation with a flame as it showed off its abilities. Did the dragon want the sheep to teach its high-level flame geyser? Impossible. The sheep was already beginning to hate its life once more. How many animals had come to him ignorantly seeking power? The dragon bounced around, trying to convey its urgent message to the sheep, but failed with great stride. He just couldn¡¯t convey a serious message to the sheep without a good tongue and comprehension of the language. ¡°Szhit!¡± The dragon said, feeling incompetent. The sheep and the dragon stood there, trying to understand one another for a while.

Salutations Freedom 1 ¡°What¡¯s your name dragon?¡± The sheep asked, stomping around and eating some grass while it awaited an answer. The dragon flapped its wings, and shifted spots from its earlier location. The red dragon yawned, and then fluttered its eyes open. ¡°Nyama?¡± It asked, craning its head. Sal sighed, this dragon¡¯s intelligence was more than frustrating to him. ¡°Follow.¡± He said, hoping the dragon would understand this basic command. If it didn¡¯t, Sal was more than happy to ditch the dragon and find something better to do with his time. The thought of this dragon was more than interesting to him though. The red creature chased him vigitantly, the sheep was glad that the dragon wasn¡¯t a complete imbecile. This made his life easier as they hiked out of the woods and into an open plain. ¡°First thing is first, we have to be able to communicate with one another. Looks like I¡¯m going to have to force an evolution.¡± The orange sheep said, looking down at the dragon that resembled a happy dog with little care for anything other than lamb chops. ¡°Level-Transfusion.¡± Sal chanted, grabbing the dragon with a magical purple orb and connecting their manas together. Sal stumbled, as he began to drain the essence of life into the dragon. It began to grow and distort in painful revelations.

The dragon grew double in size, its wings were much thicker now and its hard scales were clearly visible. The frame of the dragon was on another level compared to dragons its age. It had the look of a three-month old dragon. It shrieked in jolts of pain as the sheep transferred quality essence to the dragon, resulting in a deviation of genetics. ¡°Oreep?¡± The dragon said in a more confident voice, but it was still off. It had the voice of a boy rather than a baby. ¡°Oreep do?¡± It asked, feeling completely different from before. He stared at his claws, and stretched his wings. The dragon darted off into the sky, flapping its wings. Finally able to fly without splatting to the ground. This was a special moment for the dragon. Being able to soar in the sky felt ambiguous and profound at the same time. Sal sighed, ¡°I performed a forbidden magic to force your growth. Now dragon, tell me your name.¡± He said, trying to spark discussion with his new acquaintance. He began to levitate, resting against the air as if it were normal for sheep to do this often. The orange sheep let his eyes drift into the blue sky, clouded with big puffy...clouds. His tenacious confidence perplexed the dragon at times. ¡°Name?¡± He asked, tilting his head as he had done previously. Not only did this infuriate Sal, it pissed him off. He had willingly sacrificed so much of his own power for this dragon only to end with little result. At least the dragon could perform basic thoughts and understand them as well now. The sheep yawned as he sat his feet back down on the ground. Through the trees, a few knight heads peered out and set their glance on the duo of strange instances in this world. ¡°Well, Mr. Dragon, we better get moving before those knights catch up to us and try to kill us.¡± He said, his natural prey instincts emerging from a submerged depth. ¡°Food?¡± The dragon asked, looking around for food as Oreep mentioned the word ¡®knight¡¯ to him. This was plenty of reason to stick around, the dragon was kind of hungry anyways. He could do with a feast after all that travelling. The dragon flapped its wings when it caught sight of a knight, soaring straight to him with no strategy in mind. Sal ate some grass out of stress, he swallowed it, ¡°Why did I even try? I guess I¡¯ll see what happens to this dragon and be on my way. No need to get tagged.¡± He said, muttering to himself as his gaze shifted over to the tree line. There was likely to be a small conflict here, until they detained the dragon once more. The dragon had never heard his prey scream with such a high-pitched voice as this knight did. He held his metal sword in front of him, as a shield to block the vicious, oversized bat heading toward him with those razor sharp claws and teeth. ¡°When did this dragon get so big!?¡± The knight asked himself as his sword came in contact with the claws of the dragon. The dragon¡¯s larger frame was more durable and energetic, allowing the dragon¡¯s claws to tap against the knight¡¯s armor, but nothing more with that longsword in the way as a natural barrier. ¡°G-Get off of me!!¡± The knight screamed, pushing it back as best as he could. He was about to turn tail, which is something they are taught not to do in Knight School.

The dragon flapped its wings away from the knight, pushing him to the ground as the dragon continued to remain in the air. The dragon darted into the tree canopy, looking to find an easier prey that would show little to no resistance. It had no interest in losing its claw or fighting for its meat at the moment, its stomach growled constantly. That¡¯s where it spotted a fine specimen, one who was definitely an easier prey than those alert knights. He was sitting down in shame, twirling his index finger into the dirt of the forest with his head resting on the palm of his other hand. He had no interest in helping his team out in this instance apparently. The dragon changed courses, flapping its wings in a different direction and diving toward the knight with intention to contest this man from the back. It hoped to end its life and eat it like a big snack. The only problem was prying its teeth through the armor of those knights, they had tough skin for sure. It wasn¡¯t enjoyable for the dragon to eat things that hurt its teeth.

The claws were honing in on its target when the knight turned around and aimed its grasp at the dragon¡¯s neck. It was none other than Orion himself as he caught the dragon with ease. The dragon choked and cawed around his manly grip, his eyes were cold and fierce. ¡°You¡¯ve caused me to be late, and now the Duke will not honor my arrival. Do you realize the severity of what you done dragon? Of course you don¡¯t, none of your kind are worth shit!¡± He screamed, crushing the dragon¡¯s windpipe, the knights enclosing a circle around Orion now.Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. You are suffocating! - 10 HP
The dragon reminisced on his earlier bout with that hunter bandit, he had been choked by him with similar technique. This enraged the dragon, he was supposed to be at the top of the food chain and no one else was. He couldn¡¯t die here, nor could he afford capture. He had to find his brothers and siblings --especially the blue dragon. His arch nemesis was his own blood, no one could replace that. These humans were below the dragon, and that¡¯s something he wasn¡¯t about to change his opinion on. It grew and expanded in size, the dragon was infuriated and ready to brawl one out with these silver-ranked knights. He had no intention of letting them live. It was too late to be forgiven. Its red canvas expanded in size, a red aura emitted off of its skin.
Your ¡°Angered Spirit of the Red Dragon¡± evolution is now fully-activated!
The dragon was fuming, literally and metaphorically. With no remorse, the dragon sent its tail point into Orion¡¯s waist, chipping the armor and reaching a second layer of armor. ¡°Damnit, Robin --or someone help me get this dragon in a bag! It¡¯s pissed!¡± He said, struggling to keep the dragon in his hands. The dragon wasn¡¯t suffocating anymore due to its size, nor did it care. It was going to kill everything in range of its claws. Orion had to let go of the dragon, his hand began to convulse in sporadic shots of pain. He backed up, drawing his sword. ¡°Everyone, at guard!¡± He said, making sure everyone was in position to disarm the dragon, but most importantly protect the lives of his squad. Most of the men here were the finest trained soldiers under the duke. Despite a few cowards in the bunch that had been recently promoted, lying to get their way into a better paycheck. The dragon growled, giving off a hell-hurdling screech that made all of the birds in the forest fly up and away. The knights held their ears, the sound ricocheted violently within their helmets and caused them a major disorientation. Some fell to their knees as the dragon resounded a noise so profound and significant. Even Oreep had to cast a spell to resist hearing such a thing. The scream dissipated, but the energy the dragon carried did not. He charged Orion while he was disorientated. Orion glanced up at the last second, only to be tackled by the dragon he¡¯d tried suffocating into captivity. ¡°Oh my Noble Lord, help me in my times of need!¡± He prayed vigilantly, prying the dragon off and throwing him under his weight as he punched the dragon in its teeth. The dragon¡¯s tail frantically stabbed upwards into Orion¡¯s armor, making him flee from the fate of his dick being impaled, or worse. He launched an attack with his sword at the dragon, losing control and losing his cool for the first time in front of his men. ¡°Fuck you!¡± He breathed for air, sending a hard overhead strike at the dragon only to be met with razor sharp claws that stopped the strike. The dragon flapped its wings up, dispatching a turmoil that only Orion could match in speed and strength. ¡°Sir Orion! Save your strength sir, we will take him on!¡± Robin said. ¡°Wha--no I have it!¡± Orion gasped for air in between strikes. ¡°You fool, back off!¡± Robin pushed Orion out of the way and began attacking the dragon with heavy strikes, sending it back in its own exhaustion. ¡°Robin, you¡¡± ¡°He¡¯s a good man. Let him do his part.¡± One of Orion¡¯s men put his hand on his shoulder. The dragon fled behind a tree to catch its breathe, flapping its wings and using its claws were heavy on the heart. Blood flowed, but the angered spirit within the dragon did not falter. He was still induced into this angry state, while trying to remain strategic in the face of danger. Oreep¡¯s level transfusion had left the dragon with more tactics than it had than before. The claw-machine returned from the tree and approached Robin confidently, ¡°Kill you.¡± It said with clarity in its voice. ¡°H-huh¡.?¡± Robin said, his voice growing cold as he processed the words. ¡°Don¡¯t fret Robin, dragons are intelligent creatures! Of course it can speak..¡± Orion stood up. ¡°I know, I just..¡± ¡°Grab a hold of yourself man!¡± Orion was back in action, right behind Robin with his sword. ¡°We will do this together, now find your confidence in my crew. This is a baby dragon, we can handle him!¡± Orion assured Robin. The dragon wasted no time in their petty discussion, sending his claws into Robin¡¯s chestplate while he was off guard. This time the dragon punctured under the skin and made the knight bleed. ¡°Oh fuck!¡± He said, trying to detach the dragon only to be met with a set of teeth at his neck¡¯s end. The teeth just cut into his skin as they pierced the armor like a thin layer of butter. The pain of sinking its teeth into the armor was negated by its infuriated anger. It detached from the knight, narrowly dodging the grasp of Orion. ¡°Robin! ROBIN!¡± The knights screamed. ¡°I¡¯m okay, worry not for me! Hold the formation and make sure this little fucker doesn¡¯t escape before we capture him.¡± The scene shifted back to Oreep, who was using a spell to see what was happening from afar as he levitated in the open plains. ¡°This dragon is a strong one for its age. I¡¯ve never seen such a young dragon come so far. What a great deal of intrigue this brings me.¡± Oreep said, he turned his head and his entire body went pale. ¡°Oh fuck.¡± He said. Back in the forest, the dragon continued to make dents in the armor of the two knights, sustaining his own injuries along the way and draining his own stamina. Eventually it resulted in a stalemate of sorts, with the individual knights not being up to par with the dragon by themselves. It wasn¡¯t going to end nicely for either party, especially not the tired dragon.
You have been cut! -19 HP.
The trees began to mysteriously bend as if the wind were blowing especially hard. Orion dived at the dragon, attempting to full-body catch him, but this also ended in failure. The dragon puncture the knight¡¯s armor, using the potential energy to dig deep into Orion¡¯s rib cage. ¡°Shit!¡± He screamed, blood emerging from the gash in his armor. He held his side, the knights breaking formation to rush to his side. ¡°Orion!¡± ¡°No! ORION!¡± They screamed, pulling him up as the dragon detached his tail and fled with his wings once more to regain its breathe. The dragon was cut and had all sorts of injuries. The dragon¡¯s health was soon to reach a critical threshold. This wasn¡¯t making things better.
You are malnourished -1 HP.
The dragon was beginning to suffer the early stages of hunger, and it wasn¡¯t like he could just eat grass like Oreep. He had standards unlike that orange weirdo. The dragon thought back on his blue counterpart, ¡®would he have finished this by now?¡¯ ¡°Orion, we¡¯ve got you.¡± Robin said, tears filled his eyes. He took his helmet off, wiping the tears. Orion smiled, as blood gushed out of his side, ¡°You know you¡¯re...not suppose to cry. Those are knighthood standards¡.¡± He said, his voice weak but he wasn¡¯t gone yet. He grabbed at his helmet, his fingers sliding off of it. ¡°Take this damn thing off of me.¡± Robin took it off, revealing Orion¡¯s face. His white hair and crystal-green eyes looked toward the sky, as his breath became more impatient for air. ¡°Robin...I declare you Head Knight of my crew. I won¡¯t¡.¡± He ached in pain between sentences, ¡°...make it back.¡± Robin had served under Sir Orion for only a few years but this was just too much, ¡°Sir, you are one of many up and coming heroes in the duke¡¯s territory! You must jest. This dragon could never defeat the likes of you!¡± He began to shake as tears ran down his eyes. Orion¡¯s gaze drifted toward the plains, ¡°Alas we¡¯re here...my own anger led to this foolish death¡.¡± He said, before a laser beam caught him in the heart and killed him instantly. Robin dropped him, avoiding the attack. The beam hit the ground and made a large pink explosion in the forest. ¡°Holy shit!¡± A knight said. Oreep smiled far away from the actual scene of battle, blowing on his hoof like it had recently shot something out. Which it had. ¡°Don¡¯t let him suffer. You guys have a ¡®bigger¡¯ problem coming your way.¡± He said, enjoying the battle. The dragon had recovered, and was ready to take on Robin once again. ¡°Diee!¡± It screamed, flapping its wings toward Robin. Robin was filled with anger, he grabbed his sword and charged at the dragon as well, emotions overcame him. They were going to clash at any moment, but then something colossal befell upon the forest. With the roar of a titan came a new ushering of problems.

Salutations Freedom 2 His heart was a train about to derail from its tracks. The dragon was nudged out of the way, it hit a rock and began to roll until it made contact with a thick oak. Its eyes were hazy, the vision of the world was a blur in time. The deciduous forest had been invaded by something greater than life itself. The dragon sat up, looking ahead at what had landed. His vision was permeated with the sight of a yellow dragon. Its wings were large and thick, his eyes had a hint of anger to them. The knights were beginning to run away in unconditional fear, but it was futile. A loud roar from the dragon gave way to a mighty flame, which encapsulated the forest into fire, and blistered the knights into an unsavory death. The heat waves from the fire radiated toward the red dragon, and made it beam with a thick layer of sweat. ¡°Broder?¡± It asked in a confused voice. The dragon backed up, prepared to see the same fate as the knights as the yellow dragon turned its attention to him. What was the right thing to do in this situation? ¡°Algriez¡¡¡± The dragon said, a blue hue forming in its eyes as it chanted some kind of spell that hit the red dragon like a truck. Cascaded in black, the image of even larger dragons formed around the red dragon. One stood larger than the rest, laying on a pile of golden treasures with a white skin so pure and mighty it would make the masses tremble. ¡°Obrium of the Twelve Gates has summoned you here dragon. You must submit to him when he speaks.¡± The dragon beside the white one spoke. The albino dragon shifted upwards and stood on its four feet with pride in his stride. At a stance, this dragon was ungodly massive in comparison to the red dragon. ¡°My speech will be transmitted to you in a way that can be understood youngling.¡± His voice was articulated and well-defined, but held a great deal of masculinity. ¡°The Council of Dragons has recognized you as one to keep an eye on. Thus, we have decided to name you.¡± He glanced behind him, ¡°Dragons rise.¡± The dragons rose, and stood at attention. ¡°Your name shall be Nol, granted that you second in line from your bloodline. Your brother, Ekren, has already gathered up significant strength in Trigua City. Continue to serve the dragon race Nol, you are an interesting specimen.¡±
You have been named: Nol
Nol didn¡¯t even have the time to speak or process any of this before the black began to fade back into light, and the yellow dragon who had entered the woods was beginning to leave. ¡°Wait!¡± He said, the dragon already in the air and flying over a mountain. He did a disappearing trick, which could only be described as teleportation. How strong were dragons in this world truly? Nol picked himself up, hurrying to escape the burning forest as trees crashed to the ground and bodies began to stink like burnt flesh. Which was an obvious comparison to a more literal reality. The dragon glided out of the way of a falling tree, the burning branch almost catching him in its crosshairs. He was almost in the clear when a hand grabbed him by the foot and slammed him into the ground. The jarring force of the dragon¡¯s jaw hitting the ground was similar to the pain of someone uppercutting it straight to the face, although it had never experienced such a thing. Nol turned around, being met with the bottom end of a knight¡¯s boot. It was Robin! His hair was seared off, and his skin was charred to the bone. The armor was in shambles compared to before. ¡°If I can¡¯t live, you can¡¯t either!¡± Robin forced his foot down onto the dragon, sending ripples of pain into its stomach. Nol wasted no time, clawing up at the weakened man. This was a battle between creature and man, but man would not falter here. Robin grabbed the dragon by the throat, the tail of the dragon stabbed through the bone of his arm. He shrieked in mad pain, but didn¡¯t let go. The tears in his eyes were running, ¡°I will die here, and so will you!¡± He screamed. ¡°Not if I have anything to say about it.¡± Oreep teleported behind Robin, sending his hoof through his chest and destroying his heart with a single motion. Blood splattered everywhere as Robin crumpled to the ground, his body not having time to react to Oreep¡¯s quick and sporadic moves. ¡°Let¡¯s get going.¡± The sheep grew wings and started flying into the air, ¡°If you don¡¯t come now, I¡¯ll leave you in the dust.¡± He said, flapping his wings high into the air. Nol smiled, so much had happened at once, but for the first time it felt like it had a brain and a friend. It was time to see a new adventure, and now he had a name he could relate to. He had goals and a foreseeable future. The Council of Dragons¡.an interesting bunch, not to mention his brother had already been named ahead of him. That damn blue dragon. He flapped his wings hard into the air, soaring high into the sky after Oreep. Although it was a futile attempt to catch the bastard. ¡°Coming!¡± The dragon said, flapping its wings hard as the pair darted over the forest and found refuge in the clouds. A wonderful mist exploded as the dragon pierced through the manifolds of the clouds, the sun heading down below the horizon. Oreep was making all kinds of holes in the clouds, having a swell time being able to fly at such a rate.

Nol¡¯s wings felt more agile, he even sped up some more when he was met with a herd of large birds. They cawed and chased after the dragon. They were twice his size. He ducked under the herd, but they followed like a tank of fish. The black feathered birds were catching up, their chompers just grazing the dragon¡¯s back feet. ¡°GYYYAHHHH!¡± Nol screamed. He never got a break from anything, just more and more shit came his was. The beak of a bird grasped his back leg, but he shook free. Nol decided he only had one option. He sped up, using a considerable amount of energy as he turned a complete reversal. Releasing a hot geyser of flames at the birds, some smacked against his face and other fell to the ground. A majority of them flew in opposite directions to avoid the bright flame.
You have suffered blunt damage -34 HP.
The birds stood no chance, but neither did the dragon. There were more birds than dragons here. They kept coming, so Nol was forced to release a costly second flame from his jaws. The result was a smaller flame, but it was still able to detour the birds away from him. The large birds were honing in on his backside, but he couldn¡¯t keep up. Letting go of the idea of flying, he stopped flapping his wings to stall out. The birds dropped at a fast rate, flapping their wings toward the falling dragon as he continued to spew fire upwards at them, then he darted off into a singular direction. He left a trail of fire, bursting through it and flying back toward the forest. Oreep teleported to him, ¡°Are you really having that much trouble with some birds?¡± He said, lounging his hoof against his cheek. ¡°Move!¡± Nol said, smacking right into the orange sheep before he started falling to the earth. He hadn¡¯t exactly made it back to the forest, but instead he was probably going to land a few miles away from it. If he was able to land before he was consumed by large black birds of course. ¡°Tell me, why are you in such a rush? What business did that dragon have with you?¡± Oreep appeared in an instant at the dragon as they both fell to the ground. He wanted to know what had changed in the dragon in such a small instance of time. He himself couldn¡¯t read minds of course. He was curious how such a simple dragon could change so much in such a day. Despite his forced evolutions, the dragon itself was stellar in its own way. Its combat prowess was natural and strong for such a young dragon. ¡°You are definitely not a common dragon, what are you?¡± He chuckled. They were a couple hundred feet from slamming into the ground and facing death. If Nol didn¡¯t do something here, he would be dead for sure! ¡°Oh...it seems you¡¯ve blacked out.¡± Oreep said. ¡°Well, I can¡¯t just let my new pupil die here. You¡¯ve convinced me you¡¯re an interesting one alright.¡± Oreep hit the ground hard, smacking against the canvas of the world. He caught Nol, but hitting the ground himself didn¡¯t even budge a discomforting face. They landed in a mountain mine entrance, a few miners shrieked. ¡°What the fuck!?¡± A human said, his construction hat came off. Someone dropped their pickaxe coming out of the mine. ¡°I¡¯ve never seen such a thing in all of my years.¡± ¡°Somebody, quick! Grab a net. We gotta¡¯ capture that dragon. I could quit minin¡¯ with that cash!¡± One of them said, they shuffled around, darting around like bugs for some kind of net to capture the two with.
You are malnourished - 20 HP.
The dragon had not eaten in a long time, its eyes bolstered open. The smell of fresh human filled its nostrils. The succulent taste of human meat was a commodity to the dragon, and such a thing was required to survive for its legacy. Oreep lounged on its side as blood spurted from the side, and screams emerged in abundance. The dragon was already feasting on the meat of the miners. ¡°Jeez, I guess karma is real.¡± He said, wishing he had some tea about now. ¡°First the yellow dragon, the black birds, and now he¡¯s eating miners? No wonder this dragon is growing so fast--or maybe, do all dragons grow at this rate?¡± The night passed and the two rested on the cliff¡¯s edge. News about the murders around the Duke¡¯s territory began to spread. Some said they spotted sighting of a human-hungry dragon in the area, but others were quick to call these murders an unfortunate coincidence. Tommy¡¯s Pov: Tommy awoke in a small bed, a pair of tits crumpled against his chest. They were nice and soft. He thought, an erection was manifesting between his legs. He hadn¡¯t remembered the details of the night before. He knew he¡¯d gotten to an inn and gotten drunk. Where had Griggs gone? He opened his eyes to be greeted with Grigg¡¯s smug face. ¡°You wanna put that shit away?¡± He said. ¡°Why the FUCK are we in a bed naked together?!¡± Tommy jumped up, instantly soft as he pulled on his clothes. He grabbed the last swig of alcohol and chugged it. ¡°I¡¯m going to find that damn dragon! Fuck you and your training.¡± He buckled his belt and swung the door open. ¡°Tommy, you are under arrest for the murder of Lady Roosta, and your involvement with a fire the other night.¡± Two city militia walked into the room and cuffed Tommy. His face was devoid of all characteristics. ¡°Hey...Griggs. Want to help a brother out?¡± He said, nervously. The militia didn¡¯t wait on Griggs to respond. They were all business. Griggs scratched his bare ass, ¡°Take him away. I don¡¯t know who he is.¡± He sniffed his fingers, getting out of the bed. His face never lost its smugness as this scene unfolded. He just delighted in the humor of it all. ¡°GRIGGS! You MOTHERFUCK--¡± The door slammed shut, and Griggs was left alone in the room by himself. He stretched his muscular body, before putting on his own clothes. ¡°Time to hunt for dragon!¡± He shouted.

The Council 1 Trigua City, a city built on the foundations of nobility and justice, turned foul by the men who run it now. A few men in decorated robes walk from the streets and up the stairs toward the capitol building. Some horse carriages arrive just in time for the gathering, and the sun beams down on the city like a blazing phoenix. ¡°Klein, be kind enough to take care of the horses. This shall be a swift endeavor from your¡¯s truly.¡± A brown-headed knight with curls said, dismounting the carriage and popping his neck. He raised his white robes above his brown sandals as he walked. This was a sign of nobility, and people were to acknowledge his status in this world if he made this gesture. Klein didn¡¯t hesitate, throwing himself to a knee and bowing his head, ¡°As you command, it shall be done. Good fortune to you sir.¡± He giggled in a queer voice, ¡°Oh, don¡¯t flatter me. I¡¯m sure Duke Rebech has summoned us for non-delicate matters as usual.¡± ¡°As always Sir Bokane, I offer you my good fortune despite reality.¡± Klein smiled, his armor made some clunky noises as he stood to take care of the horses. Klein was a muscled fellow, not to mention that his flat black hair made him attractive to all of the widows in town. He was the real deal, and the rumors weren¡¯t far off about Sir Bokane having a thing for him. Klein, often tried to ignore the rumors though. He enjoyed serving under his lord. Lord Bokane walked up the hundred step path toward the front entrance of the Citadel. While it wasn¡¯t a fortress, it was the main focal point of Trigua City. The long, white columns gave it a power-asserting control over the city. It had intricate designs carved into the walls. Most of them were lion crests, representing the ferocity of their forefathers. Bokane opened the two doors inward, their heavy, stone-like nature was pushed aside by his unimaginable strength. His green eyes were enchanted by the uproar in the capital. ¡°--You call this a meeting?!¡± A man in full-armor punched the sockets out of a nobleman. Duke Rebech sat in his chair silently as the men argued across the table. Many of the noble families were here to witness the council meeting between the lords. Rebech had pastel white hair. His age was growing on him fast, and he was as ill and frustrated as ever. Although he was known for his patience and honor-bound throughout the kingdom. ¡°Silence! Lord Bokane has arrived, please noble families rise to the count.¡± He said. The nobles rose, and the common soldiers bowed to the ground. The lords cut their chattering arguments and waited in silence for Lord Bokane. He walked in a hushed posture, taking this moment for himself as he always would. Lord Bokane was always the kind of mane to enrich himself within the confinements of self-glory. He couldn¡¯t help but smile when the floor was given to him. It felt as if a culling of power was shifting in his favor. He slid the chair out and sat down, minding his robe as he scooted the wooden chair inwards. Facing directly opposite of the Duke himself, ¡°Well, let¡¯s not sit tight-lipped anymore, shall we? Let us get on with this summoning. What have you called upon us for Great Duke Rebech?¡± He dipped a feather in some ink and began writing some things down on paper. ¡°This is fucking preposterous!¡± The armored man stood. He¡¯d hit the other noble earlier. ¡°Why should we send out that amount of money for a baby dragon?! You¡¯re telling me he¡¯s worth fifty gold? The city can barely afford to pay the garrison with the recent bandit influx, and you want to spend a great deal of it on a bounty?¡± The man screamed, slamming his hand against the table and making the Duke¡¯s chalice vibrate. A vein formed in the greying old man¡¯s forehead. ¡°Commander Tygrone, I¡¯d ask that you settle your disputes somewhere else. This is not the place for your unwarranted shouting. Are you taking light of my authority?¡± He said, a stern voice echoed throughout the hall and everyone grew silent. Commander Tygrone¡¯s black and grey hairs shot up as he shivered in fear. The Duke was not one to play hot potato with. He would inevitably win. ¡°Yes sir, I understand. My actions today have been out of line. I apologize to the Council and the nobles for my indecency.¡± He bowed, sitting down in his seat and restraining himself from speaking again. Another word might just result in the guillotine at the town center. The last thing Tygrone wanted was for everyone to see his damned head roll. ¡°Despite Commander Tygrone¡¯s misconduct, what is the reason for this counseling Duke Rebech? He mentions a bounty for a baby dragon as well. I feel I¡¯ve been left in the dark on this one, unfortunately.¡± Lord Bokane asked as he plucked at his curly brown hairs. The other noble who had the dispute with the commander looked toward the Duke. The tired duke nodded, giving him the approval to speak. ¡°I, Lord Varamount, shall speak.¡± He pushed up his glasses, his black hair was tied up in a ponytail. ¡°By recent reports, the sightings of a red dragon on the loose have been confirmed. Not only this, but a rapid increase in murder, mutilation, and arson, have resulted in the areas around Trigua City. In fact, we have a witness here now who will explain this dragon to us.¡± Lord Varamount sat down in a dignified manner.Reading on Amazon or a pirate site? This novel is from Royal Road. Support the author by reading it there. A figure that had been lurking in the shadows this entire time came forward. Shackled by chains, a familiar face appeared. His blonde hair, brown tunic, and muscled body were a key determining factor in his identity. ¡°Speak commoner.¡± The Duke ordered. ¡°Yes, sir.¡± He swallowed, ¡°My name is Draiguk, and I¡¯ve been a wanted bandit for the last two years. I was caught not too long ago after turning myself in. Why you may ask? Well--that damn dragon stabbed a hole through my dick!¡± He angrily shouted in the hall, standing on a raised platform behind two spearmen. The nobles gasped, ¡°Oh my! The audacity of commoners!¡± ¡°Execute his foul stench!¡± Another shouted. ¡°--I¡¯m not done! At least let me have this one moment you talking dogs! I doubt I¡¯ll live to see another day as it is¡¡± Tears befell the man¡¯s cheeks. He knew the solemn truth of the world. No noble would give mercy to a bandit. ¡°--I had a group of men. I¡¯m pretty sure they are all dead because of this dragon. It isn¡¯t a normal one either. The thing grew in size and strength! When it gets angry, it strikes like a lion!¡± His shackles made noise, as he finished his breathtaking sentence. The hall erupted in shouts once more. The nobles were fighting amongst themselves. How could the situation get any worse? A few homicides and this was the state of the capitol? ¡°Order!¡± The Duke smashed his fist against the table, breaking it. Everyone became hushed and honored the Duke¡¯s might. He would not allow the bickering of such a small topic to break his lands apart. ¡°We will let the adventurer¡¯s guild handle the dragon problem! I hereby assert a ten gold bounty upon the head of the dragon! Whoever shall bring me its head will be masked in glory and gold.¡± He stood up, raising his fist to the air. Everyone cheered at the Duke¡¯s wisdom. Not that he was any wiser than other nobles, but he had the courage to make a decision when it counted the most. After all, he was the duke. Lord Bokane smiled. ¡°And here I thought this was a war meeting on the topic of the Omegurs.¡± He chuckled, drawing a circle with the inked feather. The room shifted its gaze upon the count. Even the Duke became serious when Bokane mentioned the Omegurs. ¡°That is the main discussion of today¡¯s meeting in the capital. Lord Bokane.¡± he sighed, sitting back down in his chair. The table now rested against the floor. The spearman took Draiguk away as the nobles began to discuss the more important issue at hand. ¡°The Omegurs¡¡± Lord Varamount crinkled his nose. ¡°What a troublesome people. They walk on two feet, look like apes, and speak like the civilized man. Their surging power in the Northern territory is all due to their most recent technological advancement. Not only do they stray away from formation tactics, but they use a special concealment agent that prevents our dogs from sniffing them out. It was already hard enough to spot them before, but now¡¡± He sighed. ¡°Do not fret Count Varamount, we must stay strong in our times of struggle.¡± Duke Rebech assured Varamount of his position. He stroked his beard before glancing at Commander Tygrone. ¡°When will they attack? You¡¯re the strategist, you should know how they think the most out of us here today.¡± ¡°Sir, I¡¯m afraid I don¡¯t know. I will send a scout team to constantly keep an eye out for the Omegur Horde. For now, though, I ask that we fund the garrison here in Trigua City some more. An unexpected attack from the North would be detrimental not only to your position of authority but would significantly weaken the king¡¯s power in the southern war.¡± He said, looking down at a map. ¡°Lord Bokane interjects,¡± he smiled and raised his hand, ¡°if we¡¯re talking about surprise attacks, I am willing to deploy half of my force here in Trigua since I¡¯m pretty much safe from all sides thanks to Count Varamount.¡± ¡°That is true,¡± Varamount said. ¡°Then that is what we shall do for the time being. I hereby dismiss the Council for meeting in this Capitol assembly. Everyone please return to your daily routines, and prepare for the coming changes. The last thing I want to deal with is more dragons and Omegurs!¡± He said. Everyone was about to return to normal when the doors busted on. A gasping man crumpled to the floor, ¡°Sir!¡± He said, crawling toward the Duke in urgency. Rebech stood up and rounded the table to the man. ¡°By all means speak messenger! Have you lost your marbles, come out with it before Mount Holshire erupts!¡± The Duke said, which was a common reference to a super-volcano. ¡°--Ye-Yes Sir¡.Umm. The Orion Order has been completely wiped, my lord! The city messenger stayed in this fetal bow, waiting for a response from the Duke. The Orion Order was one of his private knighthood sects. He had to have been shocked at this development. The Duke was furious. His hands were tightly bound together, ¡°What is the cause of such an indecent thing?!¡± His voice echoed throughout the hall, his anger boiling. The messenger could cry about now. ¡°D-Dragon! A dragon my lord! Some travelers found the bodies in a forest a few days from Trigua City, and the forest was scorched like a dragon had been through there!¡± ¡°I see. Thank you, messenger. Be on your way now.¡± ¡°Yes, sir!¡± He bowed before leaving the capitol and stepping down the steps. Duke Rebech turned around to face everyone. ¡°Raise the bounty to twenty gold--for any dragon head. Apparently, we have an epidemic that can wipe out entire knight companies¡¡± ¡°Yes, sir!¡± The nobles began changing the document last minute, and the other lords followed in suit behind Duke Rebach. He pulled the stone doors open and revealed the light of the sun as it beamed in. ¡°We have a dragon to catch and a war to win! Let us move forward on this day of communion. To a greater Trigua!¡± He screamed out into the street, the people supporting him behind his enthusiasm. Although it was mostly the guy behind the cabbage stand. ¡°Duke Rebech, I suppose this means you are ready to take on the Omegur Horde?¡± Lord Bokane chuckled. ¡°No. The news of Orion¡¯s passing makes my heart ache. All I can do is move forward and hope that I am making the right decisions. That¡¯s about the opposite of what Orion believed, but his commitment to the job was unprecedented. A true hero for the books. I¡¯m just a boy, he was a man.¡± A tear rolled down Rebech¡¯s cheek. Path of a Dragon 1 The echo of a mellow cavern up high in the mountainous terrain near Trigua City can be heard from the distance. Nuns chatter about what could be creating such a horrid and vibrantly distinct noise. They fear the worst, as looming disaster hurdles toward the range. ¡°It seems you¡¯ve found a reasonable place to call your lair. Is it that all dragons are naturally inclined to slumber in caverns?¡± Oreep asked. ¡°Mayhbe.¡± Nol said, his webby feet splashed against the puddled water. The marshy terrain of the cave was a colorful spectrum in contrast to the snow white of the mountains. It was cold, and the frost made icicles hang low from the ceiling of the chasm. A skeletal remain lies wrapped warmly in the clothes of a fur coat. The poor fellow didn¡¯t make it through the chronic winter of these tall and rigid mountains. ¡°Well, might I ask what exactly we are doing here? I know you¡¯re a free spirit and all, but I¡¯d prefer you have some kind of goal in mind for this journey you¡¯ve made.¡± He said. Nol turned around and looked at the floating sheep. ¡°Spweek easier.¡± He said, his teeth chattered against the gummy lining of his mouth. The dragon flapped its wings into the air and glided deeper into the mouth of the cave, revealing a shiny golden door etched into the architecture of the cave. It had been here for a long time, a frosty hue encapsulated its entirety and rust had begun to wear at the metal within. Green vineyards of vegetation latched to it in manifolds of layers. ¡°Is this what you came for?¡± Oreep asked. ¡°Yhes.¡± The dragon chomped. He looked at the mechanism of the door, although he¡¯d never opened a door. He knew they were a functionality of entering and leaving a place through a wall. This had been explained to him by Oreep. Oreep explained a lot of things to him that he didn¡¯t understand. ¡°I don¡¯t think you¡¯re going to be able to unlock this door. The rotating wheel looks, for the most part, rusted in, and the door is likely frozen and sealed shut. This would be easier to mine around with tools than to actually wedge the ice off the door.¡± He explained to Nol. ¡°Whayt?!¡± The dragon said, yelling. It didn¡¯t grasp anything besides Oreep doubting his abilities to unlock the door. It jumped up, hanging its claws into the groove of the circular spin-wheel. ¡°Openn!¡± Nol grunted. His claws mangled against the metal, the ice drifted down in sheets and forced the dragon to surrender to the ground in a mess of marsh. A cold liquid covered his back, along with a green vegetation that acted as a glue to keep him down. The dragon¡¯s wings were now soaked, and he wouldn¡¯t be able to fly like this. ¡°Move aside, I shall take care of this Nol,¡± Oreep said. He sighed. A yellow hue formed at his hoof, stretching into a convoluted ball. Nol opened his eyes and realized what Oreep had said. He tried to flap his wings to move out of the way, but he was soaked. The dragon flopped around in the puddle, scurrying out and through Oreep¡¯s legs as a beam expelled from his hoof. A large light emanated from Oreep and then the beam shot off toward the door, shredding it to pieces. A large explosion ruptured within the caverns and the mountain itself shook. ¡°I may have overdone it,¡± Oreep said in a sheepish voice. The hole didn¡¯t go through the door, it went through the entire mountainside. He¡¯d essentially created an over cliff entrance into the cavern. Pebbles dropped down, the mountain feeling almost ready to collapse from the recent intrusion. The nuns at the temple shrieked at the explosion, ¡°Oh Lord have mercy on us and show us the light!¡± They screamed and prayed, a messenger went down to Trigua to report the strange disturbances in the mountains. The trip would take only a few hours. ¡°Well, at least we are in,¡± Oreep said, teleporting, just because it was easier. ¡°Hey Nol, come here!¡± He shouted. The dragon walked on its feet, unable to glide in. The wind was surging outward toward the vast horizon, from where Oreep had made the gaping hole of course. Nol turned his head, presented with a vast amount of gold and treasures that were burrowed deeper into the chasm. ¡°And you say that these ancient dragons told you to come here?¡± Oreep asked. ¡°Yhees.¡± Nol said, hissing a bit with his tongue. He remembered back to what had happened after he had eaten those miners. It was before all of this had happened and before they had entered the cavern. It was an overwhelming experience. Nol had once again drifted into the black fog that the dragon had activated within him somehow. It felt like an instinctive state of consciousness that was separate from the body itself. The dragons appeared in a circle around the red dragon, who was resting against a dropped floor. He had to look up to see the towering dragons. One of the silhouettes was definitely a two-headed dragon. That one terrified Nol, but nothing terrified him more than Obrium. ¡°I, Obrium, have summoned Nol of common blood.¡± His voice echoed throughout whatever pocket dimension this was. Obrium, the albino dragon leaned his head down to meet Nol¡¯s eyes. His towering neck shot downwards. ¡°Dragon, I understand you seek to find your brother Ekren. His blue skin is something that is not of this world. I hope you begin to understand the meaning of that.¡± He waited for a response. ¡°Nol wants to see browther.¡± Nol said, agreeing with Obrium. He couldn¡¯t say much in the presence of someone so powerful. His will to speak was simply taken from him, although Obrium could read his thoughts and transmit his own thoughts to Nol.This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it ¡°The reason I have called upon you is very different though. You have the Chosen Call, which is a rare soul-bound trait only found in the dragon born. You called upon the other dragons in the area with it.¡± He drifted upwards, creating a benevolent light in the area which revealed a floating, golden grail. The grail had a foreign inscription written into its metallic form. ¡°This is the Dragon Grail. There are twelve of them in the world. Some are held by human kings, and others are lost deep within the earth. You¡¯re near one now.¡± He paused. ¡°What are grails for?¡± Nol asked, looking up at his ancient companion. ¡°When all of the grails are gathered, they will summon a portal from the draconic realm. That is where we came from child.¡± He said. ¡°The ancient heroes who are known throughout the world defeated the dragons who spawned from the portal nearly a thousand years ago. Now all of the dragons in your realm are persecuted against and hunted by adventurers. The kings drink with the grails, acting as if they own the world. It is your duty as a Chosen Call to restore the portal to the draconic realm.¡± His voice became heavy as a rapture of light erupted from his eyes. ¡°From the blood of the Great One, we descend and our impurities become obvious. The Chosen Call are genetically similar to the Great One, but he himself is a mystery to us of the Twelve Gates.¡± His eyes grew even more bright, and a ghostly aura spurred out and seeped into Nol. ¡°You have been recognized as a Chosen from a predecessor, whenever you are in trouble, you should be able to rely on the Call.¡± A great power boiled in Nol¡¯s blood, energy vibrant throughout his entire being. This feeling was a powerful bestowal from one of the greatest dragons in the land.

¡°Now go to the mountain range near Trigua City, and find the Dragon Grail!¡± He commanded, the black chalked into light instantly, and the dragon was left to his thoughts. The distant memory faded from Nol¡¯s mind, and a resurgence of reality bubbled forth. ¡°Hey--hey! Are you listening to me? Did you fall asleep or something?!¡± Oreep was beginning to lose his patience for the first time in a while. ¡°Shut up! Nol was remembwing.¡± He said. He stepped over the gold and treasures, uninterested in any of them. There it was. The Dragon Grail, sitting aloft a hefty amount of treasure. Though, it was held by a skeletal man who had passed away in this very room. He wore a black robe with a bone-necklace that had a green gem attached to it. His hat was made of an eccentric fabric with light pastel colors and his fingers had an assortment of different rings on them. This man had died alone, but his field in wizardry was still obvious almost a thousand years later. That was truly the mark of someone who¡¯d ascended to the next level. ¡°Oreep, take grail,¡± Nol commanded. ¡°Wait, when did you become my boss? I¡¯ll put it in my satchel, but you should learn your place kid.¡± He said, jokingly. He grabbed the Dragon Grail and put it in his bag that he carried around his torso. The orange colored sheep stopped levitating when the mountain began to shake violently. ¡°Oh--I don¡¯t think this is a good thing Nol!¡± He screamed over the mountains roar. The stone of the mountain began to grow around the holes that Oreep had created, enclosing them into this dark room of treasure. A violet color of flames erupted as the wall torches were lit with a strange and corrupt flame. The skeleton stood up, a flesh consumed it into a living entity. A proud face of victory was brandished across this wizard¡¯s face. ¡°It¡¯s been over a thousand years since I last saw life. Thank you for activating my witch curse!¡± He laughed. A black hair grew out from his head, his eyes were purple in color. He held his hand out, and his wooden staff zipped into the palm of his hand. ¡°Forgive me for killing you two after you¡¯ve done me such a favor. I wish to enjoy my immortality.¡± He laughed evilly. ¡°To think it would be a dragon and an orange sheep that would be the ones to activate the curse. I can understand the dragon, but how the hell did you get up here?¡± Looking at the sheep, it was like he knew there was more to the sheep instantly. Matter distorted around the wizard, making the image blurry as if heat were emanating off of his body. He was nearly seven foot tall, and his face was hollowed out like he hadn¡¯t eaten in weeks. ¡°I wonder how my dead friends are doing. Ahh¡¯ the Ascension Party was the best. They could take out dragons with ease.¡± He smiled at the dragon. ¡°Nol, I recommend you get behind me. This man isn¡¯t someone to mess with, and if he speaks the truth about being a thousand years old¡¡± Oreep clenched his herbivore teeth and then opened his mouth to speak again. ¡°That group of ancient heroes is still talked about nearly a thousand years later, he¡¯s a monster among men!¡± He shouted. ¡°I, Rogunshire, have an appointment with my dead friends. It¡¯ll be interesting to exterminate the dragons once and for all!¡± He laughed, morphing through the stone and exiting the mountain. The torches diminished as the man left their presence. ¡°Well, this is bad,¡± Oreep said. He turned to Nol, ¡°So, we have the grail that I guess he forgot about. I mean he was pretty livid about being alive again, so I don¡¯t blame him. The problem is that the Ascension Party was a band of heroes that destroyed the portal to the draconic realm over a thousand years ago. Why didn¡¯t you tell me you were coming for the Dragon Grail?! I thought it was a regular chalice! Now we¡¯ve fucked up and summoned the most powerful wizard of all time!¡± Oreep covered his face with his hoofs, sitting back against the wall. ¡°Explain aygain!¡± The dragon hopped. Oreep sighed, ¡°I should have known you wouldn¡¯t understand.¡±
