《My Hero Academia: Pathway to the Top》


 Chapter 1 - Life with a Quirk is quite...interesting?

    Sitting in his room throwing a ball up and down while laying back on his bed, Tagami Hayato thought about all he''d been through since he reincarnated and all that he''d found out about the world he was in.


    He''d been reincarnated into the My Hero Academia world, he didn''t think so at first and thought that it was just a regular fantasy world or superpower world but then he saw him. He saw All Might on tv, massive smile and everything. He was born to a young couple of Hero''s, Hayato nearly shit himself when he saw his dad though, his dad was the spitting image of Muscular from the show. Well, he was whom Hayato thought he was, it turns out Muscular is a Hero in this version of the world.


    When he realized this, Hayato knew that this world was different in some ways compared to the original one shown in the anime or manga. In this world, his father was called Tagami Kazuta. His mother was a woman whom he hadn''t seen in the anime but she was a mutant. She had 2 Oni horns on her head, they seemed to give her an incredibly strong body.


    She explained it to Hayato once and basically the horns spread a certain hormone to the rest of the body that promotes muscle and bone growth and strengthens them both, this all depends on how much the person trains. She had red hair and eyes. She also had an emitter quirk called "Strong Shoulders". Those two powers mixed together even gave his poor dad a run for his money. Her name was Tagami Aya.


    Thinking about it, Hayato guessed that his mom was the one who put his dad on a different path. Even though he was still an incredibly hot-blooded man, he wasn''t a murdering psychopath but more of a battle maniac.


    ''Well, thanks mom~''


    Hayato stood up after catching the ball in his hand. If one were to look at the ball they''d see it was purely made out of metal and had small writing on it that said "150kg". Looking at the ''ball'' that he didn''t really need any more, he decided to throw it out his window.


    ''Won''t be my problem after that.''


    That was Hayato''s line of thought anyway. Hayato used his Quirk seeing as he wanted the ball to be far away from him so people can''t accuse him of throwing a 150kg ''ball'' out of a window at the risk of injuring someone.


    Hayato got into a baseball pitching stance and threw the ''ball'' as hard as he could out of his open window.


    *WOOSH!*


    Turbulent wind rushed around his room blowing some homework he hadn''t done around his room, while also taking a few books with it. Hayato ignored the wind with a deadpan expression as he heard his Mom walking up the stairs in a hurry.


    ''Shit, I forgot she was in. She definitely knows what I did...What am I gonna do?!''


    Hayato was, to be blunt, absolutely terrified of his mom, she was a demon when it came to disciplining him. The thought Hayato had earlier about his mom showing his dad a better path made more sense the more he thought about it.


    *Knock Knock*


    "Hayato, I just heard you throw something. Was it another weighted ''ball''?" Even though she spoke in a calm voice, Hayato could hear the anger boiling just below the service.


    "No-nothing like that happened. I just used too much power when I was practicing a punch, Mom." Even though he tried his best, Hayato''s voice still trembled a little bit.


    His mother seemed to think this was a possible thing and decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and she soon walked off.


    Hayato let out a breath of relief as he felt like he''d dodged a bullet. He looked towards a mirror in his room.


    What he saw was a much taller than average youth at about 6"4 with black hair, with some strands being dark red, and red eyes. He also inherited his mother''s horns and had two Oni horns on his forehead but his were black while hers were red.


    His height didn''t make him look lanky or anything as he had the muscle to fill out the entire frame, both his height and muscle mass gave him quite an imposing physique.


    Regarding quirks, he gained two. An upgraded version of his Mom''s quirk, [Strong Shoulders], called [Strong Body]. Along with the hormone that the Horns released into his body, he had an immensely high physical strength, speed, and durability, even without his quirk factor being active. He also got a slightly upgraded version of his dad''s quirk [Muscle Augmentation].This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.


    His father''s quirk adds on muscle fiber outside of his body but Hayato could keep most of his muscle mass inside his body when he augments it. Well, apart from a thin but firm layer of dark red muscle fiber that appears on his skin when he really amps up his quirk. So instead of being like his dad when he activated his quirk; A hulking mass of muscle, Hayato was much leaner and athletic looking.


    Hayato was 15 and he was about to enter U.A. High School, the main reason was--


    "Young Tagami, quickly come out and train, before your mom sees us and stops you again!" Hayato heard a hushed and quiet whisper but despite the speaker''s attempts to be quiet he still spoke louder than some people.


    Hayato looked over at his window and saw an absolutely massive guy with blonde hair and blue eyes hanging off my window frame--It was All Might or Toshinori Yagi to those who were his close friends.


    "All Might, be careful I''m falling off!" Hayato heard a nervous voice that spoke in a quiet mumble. It was Midoriya Izuku, a timid green haired green eyed boy who didn''t have a quirk. And also someone who happened to be one of Hayato''s childhood friends.


    "Move out of the way then, All Might." As Hayato grumbled this, All Might moved and Hayato jumped out of the window and onto the street below. He didn''t even bend his knees as he landed, unknowingly showing off his physical prowess.


    All Might landed next to him and Izuku got off his back and walked next to Hayato as well. They were off to train at the junkyard, well, Izuku was, Hayato just went there to encourage him and to sometimes spar with All Might.


    Hayato didn''t know if he inherited some kind of Battle Mania off of his parents but either way, he found out that he loved to fight hence why he always tried to spar with All Might to improve on his fighting skills.


    This all started when one-day Izuku and Hayato were walking back from school and they saw Katsuki Bakugo trying to fight a villain. Knowing what Izuku was about to go and do, Hayato couldn''t let him do it on his own, so he went and helped. All the events that happened in the show at that time, happened. Well, with a few added punches from Hayato but it didn''t change anything, All Might still started training Izuku.


    I just turned up one day, saying that I followed Izuku and All Might just let me stay.


    Right now, Izuku was currently pulling a block of metal with a rope. Even though Hayato could do it easily, like he was pulling a dog leash that was attached to a twig, he couldn''t help but have a whole bunch of admiration for Izuku for the amount of determination he had.


    "Man, he''s tenacious. Guess it''s one of his many good points." Hayato spoke this with a quiet whisper as he looked at Izuku. Even though it was a whisper, All Might still heard it.


    "He is, but then again, so are you, Young Tagami." All Might spoke in his usual boisterous voice as he looked at Hayato.


    "Yeah, but only because I know if I let up for even a minute, Izuku will overtake me without me knowing," Hayato spoke in a serious voice but what he said shocked All Might.


    "W-what do you mean, Young Tagami?" The usually straight-forward All Might let a tremble enter his voice as he guessed that Hayato knew what he had planned.


    "Don''t worry, All Might, I only overheard you two speaking about it. I think you made an amazing choice." Spoke Hayato in a bright but deep voice.


    Hearing what he said, All Might visibly relaxed. He nodded his head as if he was pleased with Hayato''s answer.


    After this short conversation, he and All Might had a small spar. The result was quite obvious; All Might wiped the floor with Hayato. But with misfortune comes fortune. Hayato''s horns release more and more of that specific hormone the more he fights and the intensity of the fight makes them produce more if it''s particularly rigorous. So fighting All Might who could easily push Hayato to his limits was Hayato''s best way of getting stronger.


    Before Hayato knew it the day of training was over and All Might had passed on his power [One for All] to Izuku before the entrance exam tomorrow. On the way back, Izuku said something pretty out of the blue to Hayato once All Might had left.


    "I still think you should''ve inherited the quirk Hacchan. You''re way stronger than me and you can handle the strength of the quirk..." Izuku spoke in his usual timid voice but this time it had a melancholic tone, which was different than usual because he usually spoke in a determined voice lately.


    Shaking his head, Hayato answered him "Don''t be stupid, Izuku. You''re obviously the better choice because it''s not about who''s the most powerful, it''s about who will be the best hero. And with how much you love heroes, you''ll definitely become a brilliant hero. So cheer up, dude!"


    Izuku cheered up after his childhood friend spoke some sense into him.


    Both of them were unaware that All Might was on the rooftop above them listening to their conversation. Hearing what Hayato said, All Might looked incredibly proud as he spoke "Young Tagami, throughout these 10 months I haven''t just been training Young Midoriya, I saw your potential, your insatiable need to become a hero. You''ll probably outshine me sooner rather than later. You and Midoriya will bring forth something magnificent."


    What All Might said about Hayato was true, he didn''t remember most things about his previous life so in this life he treated his family as his very own and this world as his very own too. So he had an incredibly strong longing to become a strong hero. And All Might saw this and that''s why he helped him.


    Hayato walked Izuku home and ran back to his house while using his quirk to strengthen his legs so he could run at blistering speeds. He soon arrived home and jumped into his room via his window and after going downstairs and getting something to eat (About 4 plates of food) he went to his room and went to sleep, excited for the entrance exam tomorrow.

 Chapter 2 - U.A. Entrance Exam? Easy-ish.

    *BANGBANGBANG!*


    "HAYATO GET UP, YOU LAZY BA--!"


    "Were you about to call our son a Bastard, Dear?"


    "N-no-no I wasn''t.."


    Hayato was awakened by his overly-loud Dad and his protective mom having a small domestic. Hayato helplessly smiled and got up and walked over to his door and opened it.


    "Oi, Old man, go bug someone else," he said this before he closed his door again. Not before he felt the house physically shake from his father''s anger but Hayato knew his dad wouldn''t do anything drastic because he''s controlling wife was right next to him.


    Having done this, Hayato walked over to his wardrobe and put a fresh pair of underwear and socks on before going to brush his teeth. Looking in the mirror Hayato gave himself a reassuring nod because he was still a bit nervous about the entrance exam. He didn''t know why because he was quite powerful and fairly intelligent but he couldn''t help but feel nervous.


    Shaking his head to get rid of his nervous thoughts, he walked back to his room and put on a white tank top, some black tracksuit pants and some white trainers. As soon as he was done he heard a knock on the door. Even though it was a knock, Hayato knew it was Izuku mainly because it seemed timid but had an underlying determination behind it.


    He went and let Izuku into the house and they both walked to the kitchen.


    "You want anything to eat, Izuku?" asked Hayato with a smile on his face as he looked at his friend.


    "Uhh yeah, if that''s all right..." Izuku spoke quietly as usual as he answered Hayato.


    They both entered the kitchen to see Hayato''s dad reading a newspaper and his mom cooking some breakfast.


    ''Never thought I''d see Muscular sitting down reading a paper like an actually fully-fledged adult...''


    After Izuku got all nervous because two pro-heroes were right in front of him even though he''d met them plenty of times before, the two of them had breakfast. Izuku had some toast and said he was full, so he was just being the usual polite Izuku. While Hayato had, well to be blunt, a buffet.


    He had 3 bacon and egg sandwiches, along with two 5 egg omelet, 3 chocolate chip pancakes and to top it off 3 glasses of orange juice. This was his quirks weakness, he burned up energy incredibly quickly. Especially when the [Oni] quirk releases the special hormones into his body, it ramps up his body''s need for energy even further. It might not seem like a weakness but if he overexerts himself and can''t replenish his energy levels his body will start to break down because of the lack of said energy.


    Luckily his family could supply him with enough food to go on and he was guessing the Support Department should be able to help him when he joins U.A. so it wasn''t exactly a debilitating weakness but a weakness nonetheless.


    Seeing Hayato eat so much, Izuku started writing something down in his notebook on a page about Hayato''s quirk. Hayato didn''t mind because he knew what Izuku was like. Seeing that both of them had finished they agreed to set off for the exams now.


    Along the way they saw their other childhood friend; Katsuki Bakugo. He was different compared to when he was in the show, he was still incredibly hot-blooded, rash and quite impolite but he didn''t hate Izuku nearly as much, Hayato knew this was because of him. Whenever Katsuki tried to bully Izuku for not having a quirk, Hayato would step in and stop him.


    At first, this made Katsuki dislike Hayato but over time they slowly became neutral, if not friends, with each other because of a mutual respect for the others power/quirk. That''s not to say Katsuki isn''t aggressive to people anymore, he his but it''s definitely more of a joke like later on in the series compared to when he was at the start when he genuinely wanted to hurt people (Well, mainly Izuku.).


    "Kacchan! Wait up!" Izuku called out to Katsuki and Katsuki seemed to ponder on whether he should stop or not. Surprisingly he stopped and turned around to wait.


    As Hayato and Izuku reached him, he spoke "So you really are going to the exam even though you''re quirkless? Hmph, it''s a waste of time isn''t it?" said Katsuki in his usual ruffian-like tone.


    Before Hayato could get a word in to help, Izuku spoke before him "Yeah, it might be, but I''ve got to try Kacchan!" Hayato was surprised by the force and determination behind Izuku''s voice. From the surprised look on his face, so was Katsuki apparently.


    Katsuki had a glimmer of admiration flash past his eyes which surprised Hayato, but the glimmer was just that, a glimmer that was gone in a second. It was replaced with neutrality, Hayato shrugged his shoulders and urged the other two to carry on walking.


    On the way, Izuku and Hayato spoke about heroes and ways to get past some of the things about the test they were about to go through, while Katsuki and Hayato spoke to each other about fighting techniques and the like. Izuku even joined in on the conversation with some of his own insights from pro-hero''s super moves he''d done analysis on.


    Soon they were at the entrance exam and were split up into different groups since they were from the same middle school so they couldn''t cooperate or try to at least.


    Hayato was put into group C and went towards a conference room where Present Mic was there speaking to them, he sat next to Izuku and Katsuki. Everything that happened there on, was what happened in the show. Present Mic explained what was gonna be happening in the mock battle exam.


    There were 3 robots, each worth between 1 and 3 points. There was a 4th robot but it wasn''t worth any points so most people wrote it off as useless and they''d leave it alone. However, Hayato knew what the robot was meant to be used for; To see the possible students characters and whether they were suitable to be a pro-hero.


    After this brief explanation, they all went with their separate groups to the urban environment assigned to them.


    Most of the people kept a distance from Hayato because of his tall stature and imposing physique. But there were a few exceptions, like a girl whom Hayato remembered as Kendo Itsuka. She kept speaking to him, she reminded him of when Izuku started talking about All Might or Heroes in general.This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road.     "So, big fella, you haven''t told me your name yet?" said Kendo in her high-spirited voice.


    Hayato put on a helpless smile as he replied to her "My name''s Tagami Hayato."


    "Ah, so it''s Tagami-kun is it? I have a feeling we''ll be friends." once again, Kendo spoke in her usual optimistic voice.


    Hayato didn''t think they''d really see each other that much as he was going to aim to enter class 1-A, not 1-B like Kendo. But still, he smiled towards her and nodded his head to seem polite because in truth he wouldn''t mind being friends with her and he honestly wondered how she didn''t get into class 1-A with her ability and it''s power.


    Another exception was Eijiro Kirishima who spoke to him about how he was jealous of his horns from out of the blue.


    Honestly, Hayato was caught off guard by both Eijiro and Kendo as he wasn''t used to dealing with high-spirited and outgoing people. His childhood friends were a timid quirkless kid and, an impolite and anti-social jerk. He wasn''t equipped to deal with out-going people.


    Luckily for Hayato, they soon got to the urban arena and they all ran into it hastily.


    Hayato activated his quirk and shot ahead of the group. He saw a robot worth 2 points in front of him and just charged through it smashing it to pieces.


    "Well, that''s a start." he grumbled to himself.


    From there on, Hayato started tearing through the robots as if they were made out of paper, knowing he''d get points for it he saved those who were about to get hurt. Granted that he didn''t just do this because he wanted points but also because he didn''t want anyone to die, he wanted to be a hero so he thought that he might as well get the practice in now.


    By the time that he thought the 0 point robot would be coming, Hayato had destroyed nine 3 point robots, twelve 2 point robots and twenty 1 point robots. All this gave him 71 points so it was safe to say that he had safely passed. As Hayato thought this, the entire city started shaking and he knew that the 0 point robot was here.


    Using his quirk, Hayato concentrated his strength into his legs and jumped on top of a building that didn''t seem like it was gonna collapse. When on top of the building he saw that the giant robot was going through the city destroying the tall buildings that made it up.


    Hayato covered himself in a lean combat suit of muscles as he whispered "Oni Mode: x5" after he whispered this, arcs of red lightening-like energy whipped around his body, going from muscle to muscle. This was something Hayato had come up with one day when he tried pushing the hormone that came from his horns into his muscle form.


    If his muscle form increased his strength by 10x, then [Oni Mode: x5] pushed the strength of the muscle form further by, well, 5x. It gave him an incredible amount of power.


    "Welp, time to impress the teachers." Hayato spoke to himself with a joking smile on his face and started jumping from building to building towards the building-sized robot. When he arrived on the building next to it he saw the robot sending its fist to a bunch of students and seeing that they were about to be hit, Hayato focused his power into his legs--


    *FWOOSH!*


    --and seemed to teleport to the ground in front of the students. But the deep and numerous cracks on the ground showed that he hadn''t teleported but instead shot himself down from a building at a speed faster than most people could react and see.


    Still seeing the fist coming towards him and hearing the people behind him, cowering in fear at the enormous fist heading towards them, Hayato stepped forward towards the fist and cocked his own backward as he got into a stance that would keep him grounded.


    Meanwhile in a room with many screens showing students fighting robots or running from the 0 point robots. Two particular screens were the center of attention for most of the teachers.


    On one screen there was a short, green-haired boy running to save a girl trapped under some debris.


    On the other screen there was a tall, muscular youth with black hair with some red highlights standing in front of a group of students, attempting to protect them from the giant robot''s fist, he seemed to be covered in a armour of dark red muscle as well.


    The first boy jumped into the air with blistering speed and slammed his fist into the robots colossal head, sending a myriad of massive cracks throughout the head and then the rest of its body, destroying the robot. He fell from the sky before he was in turn rescued by the girl he rescued.


    The other boy on the screen had finally swung his fist at the robots, all the muscles in and on his body were tensed to what seemed like the absolute max. When both fists hit, the air pressure was monumental and pushed all the students behind the boy away and made the glass from all the nearby buildings shatter.


    But all the students were all fine, albeit a few scratches and bruises. It was good they were sent away as well, as the ground around the boy sunk downwards and formed a massive crater.


    Some blood was coming out of the boy''s orifices but he still had a smile on his face, as he saw what happened to the robot. The robot''s arm was completely wrecked. It was on fire and the fist had been thoroughly shattered. But the robot was still functioning.


    The boy, Hayato, not wanting to give the robot any time, jumped onto the broken arm and ran up the arm at a breakneck speed. Nearly instantly he''d made it 3/4 up the arm and suddenly he jumped towards the robots face.


    With a savage grin, he used his momentum from his run up and jump and did a front roll mid-air and aimed his feet towards the head. When he was close enough he focused his power into the augmented muscles in and around his leg and let out a devastating flying drop kick.


    *BANG!*


    The robot''s head was completely demolished and even fell off of the robot''s body as it fell backward.


    Hayato fell to the ground and landed quite easily with a dull thud.


    As soon as he did he said one thing "I''m gonna be so goddamn hungry in a bit!" before he started walking towards the exit of the city as the test had ended.


    But he was the only one around him who did this as the surrounding people were all shocked solid by his display of strength and the fact he seemed fairly unhurt even though he''d gone toe-to-toe with a giant robot.


    In the monitoring room, all the teachers were smiling ear to ear as all of this batch of students seemed like they were going to be incredibly talented heroes.


    While they were thinking this, Hayato was struggling to walk from the stomach pain he was feeling "Goddamn Quirk, using up all of my goddamn energy supply!" as he was raging about not being able to get to the food he brought with him to the exam two people came over to help him.


    It was Kendo Itsuka and Eijiro Kirishima, they pretty much dragged his energy-less body to where they all left their bags and the like.


    Once there Hayato quickly rushed towards his bag and pulled out a massive bento packed with rice and meat and started eating it with gusto.


    As he was eating he heard Eijiro whisper "He even eats really manly...What a guy..." while Kendo just looked at him with understanding as if she knew what the weakness to his quirk was. Which to be fair, wasn''t hard to work out.


    ''What the hell is Eijiro going on about? I''m just eating...And what''s with the pity in that stare, Kendo-san? I''m just eating!''


    With that mental thought, Hayato pretty much poured the rest of the bento into his mouth and down his gullet before swallowing it all down with some juice he brought. After that, he stood up and said thanks to Eijiro and Kendo before he sat down in contemplation.


    ''I should be able to enter U.A. now, my scores on the written exam should be enough and with my display today, it''s pretty much guaranteed.''


    After thinking this, a massive smile spread across his face, the kind of smile that would make All Might proud. He smiled because he''s on his way to becoming a hero.

 Chapter 3 - 4 weeks of training and U.A. Physical Tests

    After the exam, Hayato went home with a pleased Katsuki and a completely devastated Izuku. Hayato told Izuku not to worry but he still did, so Hayato just shrugged his shoulders as he knew what was gonna happen anyway. All of them went their separate ways and went home when they reached their neighborhood.


    Hayato entered his house and spoke to his mom for a little while, along with his dad. They didn''t seem worried as they knew Hayato''s strength was more than enough to pass the test for the U.A. Hero program. Hayato soon went to his room to think about something that had been bugging him for a while.


    ''Why can''t I use my energy more efficiently? If I keep spending my energy so quickly, I''ll never win in a prolonged fight.''


    Thinking this, Hayato tried to think of ways to use his energy better.


    His body was akin to an engine, so Hayato knew that he had to find where the fuel tank was and put a limiter on it, or at least try to control the flow. This started Hayato''s small training period before joining U.A. so he at least had something to go off of when the teachers tried to help him improve.


    1 week later~


    Hayato got the admission hologram for U.A. and had a small celebration by going out for food with his family. Hayato got plenty of food that day.


    After that, Hayato started his search for the ''fuel tank'', as he called it. His method was to meditate and repeatedly enter and leave [Oni Mode]. This put him on a trail towards somewhere in his upper torso.


    At first, Hayato thought it was his heart that was giving out the power but soon dismissed that theory as it wasn''t coming from there.


    ''It''s much harder to follow an energy trail than you''d think it''d be.''


    Hayato couldn''t help but grumble internally about how slow his search was going. Suddenly it struck him on what he could do.


    Quickly, Hayato ran downstairs and grabbed a few plates of food before running back upstairs in excitement.


    ''If I can''t trace it back from where it came, I''ll follow it on it''s way to the ''fuel tank'' .''


    Convinced that this was the way to go, Hayato started eating the food and when he''d sucked it all into his stomach, he started meditating to see where the energy generated would go. It was a slightly slower process but Hayato was patient enough. The energy first came from his digestive system, like he thought it would and it traveled in a straight line right to just below his sternum. Pretty much where his diaphragm was.


    Hayato couldn''t help but let a smile spread across his face as he''d finally made progress.


    ''Now, to limit or control the output!''


    Another week later~


    Hayato had worked out that he had a full capacity of 400 points of this energy. Kind of like a stamina bar in a game. He also worked out that he used 50 points of this energy when he entered [Oni Mode] but the worst part was that he only need 5 of these energy points to enter the mode. He also uses up 1 energy for every minute he''s in the mode.


    ''I''m that inefficient at using my energy? Goddamnit.''


    Were Hayato''s thoughts at the time he found out. He also found out that he can enlarge the ''fuel tank'' via a few ways. They are:


    -With enough usage of the energy inside it, the ''fuel tank'' will naturally get bigger for some reason, Hayato doesn''t really understand why but he''s still trying to figure it out.


    -By eating a lot of food. Some food gives more energy, usually depending on how high the quality of the food is or how nutritious the food is.


    -This one ties in with the first way but if Hayato does an especially intense workout, the energy will grow further if he eats a lot after working out. Again, Hayato doesn''t know why it does this.


    And those are the ways to grow the fuel tank, and Hayato is employing them all to make sure his ''fuel tank'' is bigger.


    He''s also been trying to improve his control over the energy. So far he''s got the energy down from 50 per activation to 40, the joy he felt from his quick progress was short lived as going down from 40 to 39 was incredibly hard for some reason and Hayato couldn''t figure out how to break past the limit he currently faced.


    After trying for the better part of a week to break through it, Hayato thought that he might as well focus on improving his body, at least he''d get some quick-ish results with that. Weirdly enough his horns were releasing more and more of that hormone. If before they released, for example, a drop or two a day then now they were releasing 5 drops a day. It was like his body knew he was going to be fighting a lot of people soon, whether it be in a competition or against villains.


    And because of this, his appetite increased.


    ''At least it lets me expand my energy storage further.''


    2 weeks later~


    After two weeks of intense training Hayato had increased his energy storage to 450 energy points and like his control problem, he hit a bottleneck. Even though he hadn''t plateaued physically, it seemed the energy storage was refining the energy in his body that he''d gathered over the past 2 weeks. Sensing this, Hayato hoped that it would finish refining soon because he felt the storage shrinking.


    Overall, after the training and the increase in the "Oni" Hormone in his body, his strength has grown quite a bit in his base form meaning his other two forms, [Muscle Form] and [Oni Mode], have also grown in strength.


    Today was the day Hayato started at U.A. and he was excited about what he knew was about to happen when he got there. Rapid knocks rang throughout the house as Hayato was just finishing his breakfast. Speeding up his eating as his mom answered the door, knowing what was about to happen, Hayato sped up his eating but he was a tad too late.


    "Awww Midoriya-kun, come to Aunty Tagami!" Hayato''s mom rushed up and hugged Izuku.


    Hayato dragged his hands across his face.

    Hayato walked up to his Mom, who was smothering his dear friend to death and pried her off of him. His mom seemed momentarily surprised by his strength before she relented and let go of the gasping Izuku. He didn''t look good at all like he was some kind of victim.


    "Sorry about that Izuku, she''s a demon and you didn''t need to experience that." Hayato said in a mock sad voice and face but he knew full well how bad it was when he one hugged someone seriously, it was like being in the clamp of a vice. A shiver went up his spine as he thought about the past times it happened to him.


    "Well, we''re off Mom, bye!" Hayato said this in a hurry as he grabbed his bag and his childhood friend and ran out of the house with speed and nimbleness that belied his physique.


    Soon he and Izuku were far enough away from the house that Hayato felt it was safe to put Izuku down and stop running. Even though he wasn''t the one who was running, Izuku was breathing very heavily, looking at his face, Hayato worked out that he was incredibly nervous about the U.A. first day. Hayato couldn''t blame him, even with his quirk and current power, Hayato was also quite nervous.


    Arriving at the school, Hayato and Izuku went towards class 1-A, the class they''d been put in.


    Unlike in the show when Izuku nervously waited outside the door, Hayato just opened the door and walked in with an arm round Izuku''s shoulders and dragged him with him. As they entered, everyone looked at them. Some with shocked expressions, some with friendly expressions and some with expressions of slight hostility.


    Hayato just confidently smiled towards everyone in the class, while Izuku stood shocked. Suddenly, there was a voice behind them, a voice Hayato had been waiting for. "Wait! Is that you, the boy from the exam? I''d remember that messy hair from anywhere!" The voice spoke in a very straight-forward way. It was Ochaco Uraraku.


    Izuku turned around in shock as his face went red as he saw who was talking to. Hayato pushed him towards her and smirked at his friend''s embarrassed behavior.


    ''Haha, time to play Cupid~''


    As he thought this, someone tapped his shoulder.


    "Ta-ga-mi-kun~ See, I knew we were gonna be friends!" A familiar outgoing voice spoke out behind Hayato. Hayato froze on the spot as a twitch appeared on his face. He turned around to look at the person behind him.


    With orange hair draped over her left shoulder and her piercing green eyes looking right into Hayato, it was Kendo Itsuka.


    Looking at her, Hayato was shocked.


    From the classes perspective Hayato and Izuku looked the same; Both of them shocked solid in front of a girl.


    "H-hello Kendo-san." Hayato blurted out a reply to her greeting with a slightly flushed face because of how close she was to him.


    Kendo smiled and was about to speak before someone spoke.


    "If you guys came here to make friends, you might as well leave now."


    "Ahh!" surprised, Kendo, Ochaco, and Izuku let out a small yelp of surprise. Hayato, however just looked at a man in a yellow sleeping bag with a blank look on his face. The others all looked at a yellow sleeping bag on the floor with a face sticking out of the top end. The man had a tired and worn out look on his face as he looked at the students.


    What the man wasn''t expecting was for Hayato and Kendo to go up and poke him. Well, Kendo poked him and Hayato lightly tapped him with his foot.


    "Kendo-san, how do you think a giant caterpillar got in here?" Hayato said this in an inquisitive voice as he tapped the sleeping bag with his foot.


    "O-oi! Stop that!" the man said as they kept poking him.


    "I don''t know Tagami-kun, is it some kind of mutant quirk?"


    "Enough!" the man yelled as he stood up and got out of the sleeping bag and then continued to speak in his tired voice "Just...Put these on." as he finished saying this, he pulled out a blue uniform which Hayato recognized as the U.A. P.E uniform. When someone asked him who he was, he said he was Aizawa Shota, their homeroom teacher. Everyone felt shocked that he or she had such a shady looking homeroom teacher but they soon took the uniforms off of him.


    A few minutes later, everyone had changed into the uniforms and walked to a test site by following Aizawa-sensei.


    "Okay, we''re gonna be doing a Quirk Apprehension Test."


    After he said that there was a wave of confused whispers among the students of the class. Aizawa-sensei carried on speaking "You''ve all done the physical tests throughout middle school, right?" Everyone nodded as he carried on "But without your quirks. And because you''re in the hero course, we need to see the capabilities with your quirks. Bakugo, what was your longest throw with a softball in Middle School?"


    Katsuki lifted his eyebrow at the question but he still answered "67 meters." Hearing his answer, Aizawa-sensei called him up to throw the softball again but with his quirk this time.


    Katsuki stood in the circle and prepared to throw the ball in his hand. When he threw it he activated an explosion that sent the ball high into the sky. With a bleep on the phone in Aizawa-sensei''s hand, he showed the class that Katsuki had thrown the ball 705.2m.


    "The fact is, people are born with more power than others. The thing the schools tried to do by banning you from using your quirks was to make people feel like they weren''t being left out if they had weak quirks. Oh and the person who performs the worst on this test will be expelled as they''ve shown they have no potential." Aizawa-sensei spoke in disdain of what the schools did. It seemed to annoy him that people with good quirks could shine ahead of others. He also dropped a bombshell on the students, which caused a small uproar.


    ''Well, that or he was trying to rile up the group of students. Clever guy.''


    After Aizawa-sensei''s little rant, they went onto the tests. First up was the 50m dash.


    Hayato lined up next to Iida Tenya. While he was getting ready he pulled energy out of his core and sent it to his legs. This was what he''d come up with to save energy; Instead of just opening the gate to his core of energy, he guided out what he needed and it saved a lot of energy.


    Once it was in his legs, he augmented them and like when he usually activates his quirk, a thin armor of muscle appeared on what he was augmenting. He got into a proper running position and waited for the mark to go--


    "Go!"


    ''Well, there it is~''


    At the sound of the mark, Hayato pushed off the ground with considerable force, cracking it in the process, he shot off of the starting line. Even with the amount of power he put into his legs, he was still a short bit behind Iida.


    Hayato guessed this would happen seeing as Iida''s quirk is made for speed while his quirk is made for power. While his quirk does give him explosive speed, Iida''s gives him a constant speed.


    Iida and Hayato crossed the line soon enough, their times were 3.04 and 3.89 seconds respectively. After that, everyone''s results were as they were in the show.


    They then moved onto grip strength. Hayato decided against using his quirk for this test as he didn''t need to. It wasn''t about him hiding his strength, it''s just he could use his natural strength to beat all the others. He put some strength into his hand and the numbers 1500kg popped up on the screen.


    "Woah, you really are strong, Tagami-kun." quipped Kendo as she peeked at his monitor. Her remark attracted the attention of the other students whom all look at the number in awe. Hayato just shrugged his shoulders as he waited for the next test.


    The next test was the standing long jump and Hayato just jumped with his quirk activated and jumped right over the sandbox. Then he had repeated side steps, which he just did at an incredibly quick speed with the help of his quirk. From this test, he found out that Mineta wasn''t here either.


    ''Must''ve been put down to class 1-B when Kendo got into class 1-A.''


    Pushing that thought to the back of his head, he moved onto the next test; The Ball Throw.


    Hayato decided to really go all in on this test, so he summoned his full muscle form and got into a baseball pitching stance.


    ''This ball is so much lighter than the one I threw over a month ago. This is gonna be easy~''


    He tensed his body up and threw the ball with such celerity that by the time people realized he had thrown the ball it was already high in the air and had left multiple rings of cloudy air from its speed. After a while, it landed and Aizawa-sensei looked at his phone and nodded his head as he read out the result of Hayato''s throw


    "1103.3 meters, well done Mr.Tagami." he said it in an apathetic but well-pleased voice.


    Hearing this, Hayato was also pleased and walked back over to his fellow peers who were all in a stupor, apart from Izuku, Kendo and Eijiro whom all had smiles on their eyes and Hayato would''ve sworn he saw sparkles of light in their eyes but he soon shrugged it off as him not sleeping enough.

 Chapter 4 - Changes and Before Battle Training

    After Hayato''s magnificent display of power, Izuku was up next. He walked up to the throwing area and looked incredibly nervous. Once he arrived, he picked up a softball and got into a throwing stance. He threw the ball with all his strength and--

    --was all he got. Hayato knew that Aizawa-sensei had canceled Izuku''s quirk with his quirk''s power [Erasure]. Izuku seemed shocked by what happened and turned to Aizawa-sensei. As he saw Izuku looking at him, Aizawa-sensei started talking "If you become immobile after one ball throw, then you don''t deserve to be a hero. It''s as simple as that."


    Hearing what he said, Izuku was in despair as he didn''t understand how to do it, after about a minute he realized what he had to do. He got another softball and got into another throwing stance.


    He started to throw the ball and when the last finger was the only thing touching the ball, electric crackled around the finger as a low thrumming was apparent in the air. As the quirk powered finger pushed against the ball, it shot into the air with furious abandon.


    Aizawa-sensei looked at the phone in his hand and it showed the number 705.3m. Izuku looked over at Aizawa-sensei and spoke "Sensei, I can still move!" he said this with a shaky but determined smile on his face and flexed his fingers into a fist, along with the broken and bruised one. Seeing his determination, Aizawa-sensei said "This kid...!" he spoke with a slightly manic smile on his face, seemingly pleased with how Izuku worked his way out of the situation he was in.


    Seeing that Izuku had some kind of quirk, Katsuki was shaking in either anger or surprise. Without waiting, Katsuki charged at Izuku trying to hit him or do something else. But Hayato activated his quirk and stood between the two of them.


    "Katsuki, calm down. Now." Hayato spoke in a very out of character voice, it was incredibly stern and as he looked at Katsuki who wasn''t stopping, he shook his head as he stepped forward.


    "Kurgh!"


    Hayato had planted a fist right into Katsuki''s stomach. "I said to calm down, Katsuki," Hayato spoke in a calm voice but in truth, his was quite angry with Katsuki.


    ''Goddamn, why does he always have to be so hot-headed? I get that he feels Izuku''s been playing him for a fool since we were kids, but come on, at least try and talk without explosions coming out of your hands every once in a while.''


    Katsuki was kneeling down on the floor, with a hand on his stomach and his other hand placed on the floor with small crackling sounds accompanied by smoke coming off of it. Aizawa-sensei decided to step in at this moment and activated his quirk on both Hayato and Katsuki.


    Hayato felt the augmented muscles on his body slither back into his body and return to normal. While the small sounds and smoke coming from Katsuki''s hand stopped. Aizawa-sensei spoke soon after "Both of you, stop it. You''re both wasting my time, whoever''s up next, go up."


    Izuku and Hayato walked around Katsuki and back towards the group where Kendo and Kirishima asked if Hayato was okay, to which he nodded his head. While Ochaco wanted to help Izuku with his finger, to which Hayato smirked and said "Izuku would love it if you helped him, Ochaco-san." hearing what he said, Izuku went bright red and tried to deny it but Ochaco wasn''t having any of it and helped him check how bad the injury is.


    Kendo did the test next and instead of her hand becoming abnormally big like her quirk in the show, her entire arm got much bigger and she threw the ball and got a score of 540m. Ochaco took away the gravity for the ball and got an infinite score seeing as the ball never landed again. Kirishima threw the ball but as his quirk isn''t suited for intense bursts of power, he threw it around 220m.


    When Kendo came back over, Hayato asked her about her quirk. She replied by saying that her quirk was called [Transformative Hands and Arms] which allows her to change her arms/hands into many different things, unlike her quirk in the show which was called [Big Hands] which only let her make her hands bigger. Hayato now knew how she got into class 1-A as her quirk now was quite powerful.


    After this, Hayato and the others went onto the next tests, which were Sit-ups, Long Distance Running and Seated Toe-Touch. Hayato didn''t put much effort into these tests as it would just waste his energy. He ended up first in the sit-ups, 4th in the Long Distance Running and Hayato wasn''t sure if there even were any places for the Seated Toe-touch because everyone could do it.

    Hayato looked at the ranking with a pleased look on his face. But he saw something weird.


    ''Todoroki Shoka? Isn''t it supposed to be Shoto?''


    After thinking about this, Hayato looked around the class of students and finally found a person with hair that was half white half red. But there was something different.


    ''Man, Todoroki has really let his hair...grow long...oh god.''


    Hayato was looking at a girl version of Todoroki. He was a bit gobsmacked because she was absolutely beautiful regardless of the scar on her face. Hayato wondered why he didn''t see this sooner but shrugged it off as him not paying enough attention and daydreaming about food.


    While Hayato was busy staring at Todoroki, Aizawa-sensei spoke to the class "No one''s getting expelled. It was all just rational deception to make you guys try your hardest." hearing this everyone let out a breath of relief. Especially Izuku.


    "Go change and then go to the classroom and pick up a syllabus and read it over for tomorrow. Oh and Midoriya, take this and go to recovery girl to get your finger sorted out." Aizawa-sensei spoke in a tired voice and then walked away. Everyone did what he said and got changed back into his or her school uniforms and picked up a syllabus from the classroom.You could be reading stolen content.     Hayato picked up a syllabus for Izuku and walked over to the infirmary. He got there just as Izuku was walking out of it, so he passed him the syllabus.


    As the two of them were walking out of the school, Hayato saw the now, cold beauty Todoroki Shoka. He was going to go up to her but he knew that she''d probably shut him down instantly, so he just kept talking to Izuku about the tests and what he thinks they''re gonna be doing tomorrow.


    Soon after they left the school though, Iida Tenya came up to Izuku to talk to him. Hayato looked at Iida and saw a tall, dark blue haired youth. He wore rectangular glasses and had a serious expression on his face as he spoke about how he didn''t approve of Aizawa-sensei''s way of teaching.


    When Hayato was about to get bored, Kendo came out of now where and pat him on the back to get his attention. They both spoke about a multitude of things and even traded numbers so they could keep in contact out of school.


    "Heeeey! Wait up!" Hayato heard Ochaco speaking behind him and the others so he turned around and saw her running towards them with someone else. When Hayato got a closer look at whom Ochaco was running with, his face paled.


    ''Why is she here? Jesus Christ, what else has changed!''


    It was Toga Himiko, the crazy girl who loved Izuku and wanted to kill him or torture him, she''s all sorts of messed up. She was a petite girl, who was about the same height as Ochaco and had blonde hair with yellow eyes. Hayato would think she was a pretty cute girl if he didn''t know how mentally unstable she was.


    "Midoriya-kun! Is your finger all right now?" Ochaco asked with concern which seemed to light Izuku up like a red light. He simply nodded, showing her his finger in bandages. After doing so, he saw that Hayato was staring at Toga and also looked at her with curiosity.


    Ochaco grasped that they were curious and introduced the ''innocent'' looking girl "This is Toga Himiko, she''s a student from our class. Toga-san, this is Midoriya-kun, Iida-kun, and Tagami-kun."


    ''How did I not see this when I was in the class!? I need to be more alert.''


    Toga looked happy that she had access to new friends but Hayato was still cautious of her. He was willing to give her a chance because his dad was Muscular, a villain who killed many people in the show but he just couldn''t be sure if Toga was different or this was a plan to infiltrate U.A.


    After greeting each other, Hayato and the others started walking towards the station to go back home. On the way, Kendo and Ochaco spoke to Toga, Hayato reluctantly joined in with conversation when Kendo dragged him into it by discussing his strength and asking what his quirk is.


    "My quirk is a mixture of a few but I call it the [Oni] quirk. And my appearance fits the name." Hayato pointed to his black Oni horns and his tall, muscular body.


    After that, Hayato was a bit on edge as Toga showed more interest in him then Izuku and she kept speaking to him. To bring the others into the conversation he asked the group a question.


    "Do you guys fancy going to get something to eat? To like, I don''t know, celebrate our first day at U.A. it''ll be on me either way." Hayato spoke to the group with a wry smile on his face but kept a confident look in his eyes. After having a strong quirk for 15 years, he became quite confident in himself.


    Everyone but Iida agreed to it.


    ''Iida-kun! Why!? There were 3 boys and 3 girls, I could''ve tried to pawn Toga off on you so she''d stop annoying me! Now I and Izuku are outnumbered!''


    As Hayato lamented mentally, he waved goodbye to Iida and walked with the others to a family restaurant. When they arrived, they sat in a booth. Unluckily, Hayato was stuck between Toga and Kendo or he was lucky, depending on how you thought about it.


    Hayato had a lot of pocket money as his parents were pro-heroes and had their own agencies so he was intent on getting a lot of food because after the Quirk Apprehension Test he was quite hungry.


    While the others only ordered a dish and a desert, Hayato ordered enough food to feed them all but ate it all himself. Everyone at the booth and the surrounding tables was in awe of his ability to eat.


    "Wow, Tagami-kun you eat so much? Well you know what they say about people who eat a lot~" Toga said this in a playful voice which made Kendo laugh. (I''ll describe this in the author note xD)


    "Toga-san, please don''t." Hayato put on a pitiful expression as he begged her to stop but that only made her smile even further, so Hayato wiped the expression off of his face and ate more food. Toga and Kendo started talking more and more and Hayato tried to keep his head down and not hear anything they were talking about because most of it was about him and they were doing it to tease him.


    After about an hour they all got up and went home, Toga and Kendo went on a different train and Hayato and the two soon-to-be lovebirds, Izuku and Ochaco, went on a different train. Before he knew it, Hayato was home and lying on his bed looking through his syllabus. After skimming through it a few times, Hayato went to sleep.


    When he woke up, Hayato got changed into his uniform, did his morning routine of eating and then brushing his teeth and walked to Izuku''s house so they could go to U.A.. When he got to Izuku''s, Izuku was already waiting outside. When he saw Hayato he waved in greeting and they went to school.


    The morning was boring and Hayato had to use his quirk to keep his back upright otherwise he would''ve slumped over onto his desk and slept. The morning lessons in the Hero Course consist of either Math, English, Modern Literature or Modern Hero Art History. After these lessons were Hayato''s favorite time; Lunchtime. Hayato stuffed himself with as much food as he could and when he wasn''t doing that, he was speaking to Izuku an Iida.


    After this it was time for the class which every aspiring hero had to take; Heroics.


    As Hayato was sitting in class, looking out the window and ignoring Toga who kept poking him, All Might burst through the door saying "I.AM.HERE! Coming through the door like a hero!" and everyone got incredibly excited about seeing All Might, the number 1 hero in the world. While Hayato was trying not to laugh.


    ''Coming through the door like a hero? Hahaha! Who says that?''


    Stifling his laughter, Hayato tried to listen to All Might. "Welcome to the most important class at U.A High! Think of it as hero-ing 101 because here, you''ll be learning the basics of being a pro-hero!" hearing what he said everyone was murmuring things and getting really excited.


    All Might apparently had more to say "And today''s training will pull no punches!" as he said this he pulled out a pretty big card that had "BATTLE!" written on it. Hayato could hear Bakugo getting excited about fighting and Hayato felt quite excited himself.


    Seeing that All Might had more to say, Hayato shook his head wondering why All Might had to be so dramatic all the time. "But one of the keys to be a hero ISSSSS! LOOKIN'' GOOD!" as he finished his sentence he pointed towards a wall and panels came out of it, seemingly with the uniforms they had designed for them.


    "Now, get yourself suited up and meet me at battleground Beta!" All Might seemed incredibly excited for some reason.


    "YES, SIR!" Was he reply from the class.


    After getting changed into his hero costume he walked out of the tunnel with the others. Hayato''s costume looked a lot similar to Stain the Hero Killer''s. It had a black skin tight armored vest, with black army pants and black army boots. He also had a red scarf around his neck that fell all the way to his waist.Along with this, he had a tight-fitting mask over the bottom on his face, similar to what Ninja''s sometimes have, with bandages tightly wound around his arms all the way up to his shoulders.


    If anything, Hayato looked like some sort of ninja. The bandages were similar to Aizawa-sensei''s capture weapon and were made out of a similar thing. Hayato had them because he was a close combat fighter and if he couldn''t drag the person and keep them near him, he''d get beaten by long-range attacks.


    After everyone else came out of the tunnel, All Might explained that they were going to be battling against each other in teams of two. Two teams would go against each other with different goals, the Hero team had to find the nuclear bomb the Villain team is hiding or they have to capture the Villain team with capture tape. While the Villain team has to protect the bomb or defeat/capture the Hero team. These fights will be inside a building and the teams will be picked through lots.


    When they decided the teams, Hayato got teamed with Todoroki, while Izuku was teamed with Ochaco, Iida was teamed with Bakugo, Kendo was teamed with Toga. (These are the important teams anyway, as they involve the main friends of the Mc.)


    Hayato was quite excited about being teamed with Todoroki and wanted to bring her into his friends'' group as he knew he could help her out with a few of her problems at home. Well, if they were still problems in this alternate world.


    "Well, then, Let''s pick who''s who!" All Might''s boisterous voice knocked Hayato out of his thought process, so he listened to who was going first.


    "The Villain team is...Hayato and Todoroki! While the Hero team is Kendo and Toga!" All Might announced the teams and the Battle was soon to be on.

 Chapter 5 - Battle Training; Winning isnt so easy~

    Hayato and Todoroki walked to the 5th floor where their bomb had been placed. They walked in complete silence, even though Hayato did want to get to know her, he knew that now wasn''t exactly the time.


    "Todoroki-san, I think you''d be more suited to the defense of the bomb seeing as you''re more suited to long range. Is that okay?" Hayato asked Todoroki as he looked at her. He got a short nod of agreement. When they got to the bomb, Todoroki started preparing the room for an attack by reinforcing the walls and floor with Ice.


    Hayato waited outside as he didn''t want to get in the way or embarrass himself by slipping on the ice she''d put down.


    After 5 minutes, Todoroki had done all she could do and Hayato and her shared a nod to signal that they were ready. They put in some earpieces that All Might gave them and Hayato then started walking around the corridors in search for the Hero team.


    After walking for a few minutes he heard some talking. It sounded like Kendo and Toga laughing about something. Hayato manipulated his muscles in his hands to come out of his hands and mold around his hands and end in claw-like fingers. Once they did that, he made them harden and thrust them into the concrete next to him.


    *Slice!*


    Just like he wanted, they went right into the concrete like a knife into butter. He climbed up the wall using his new claws and positioned himself so that they wouldn''t be able to see him unless they looked in that specific spot for him.


    After waiting for a minute or two, Toga and Kendo walked under him and he waited until they were past him and then he dropped down silently. He crept up behind them, using the muscles on his feet as mufflers so they didn''t hear him and when they were in his range he leaped toward them.


    "Woah! Haha told you he''d ambush us Kendo!" Toga''s excited voice rang from the side of where he was, shocking Hayato. Another voice rang out, presumably Kendo''s "Oh well, guess I owe you some food after school today" she spoke in a mock sad voice.


    Hayato pulled back as quickly as he could, shooting the other two an inquisitive look. "How''d you know I was there?" he asked with a gruff voice, Toga got all red for a second before she answered "That''s a secret, Tagami-kun~" her voice seemed incredibly sweet, sickly level of sweet.


    Hayato ignored her and instead charged towards Kendo. He got close to her with a speed faster than the last time he charged at them and threw a fist at her. She returned the gesture by throwing her fist at him.


    ''Bad move, Kendo-san~''


    When their fists connected, Kendo had the same thought as Hayato and knew she''d gotten cocky.


    *BANG!*


    She was thrown backward from the collision and straight into a wall. Toga seemed slightly surprised as Kendo said earlier that she knew she was weaker than Hayato but she should be able to stand her ground against him. But she couldn''t.


    Toga flew towards Hayato with a special looking switchblade in her hand, it was attached to a tube that went to the side of her mask, which by the way was a big toothy grin on a mask. She was quick, quicker than Hayato expected so she was able to cut him once, drawing a small amount of blood which was sucked up by the blade and sent to her mask.


    "Mhmm~ Your blood is delicious, Tagami-kun~" Toga said with a flushed face and her incredibly sickly sounding sweet voice.


    ''Okay, that''s really weird...''


    After ingesting his blood Toga seemed to become quicker and stronger. She kept getting cuts in here and there and drawing more and more blood and she got stronger and stronger. But sadly, Hayato was only playing about to waste time for the battle training.


    Hayato hadn''t seen Kendo since he hit her through that wall, he hoped she was okay and he didn''t cause any real damage to her. When he was thinking about where she was, he got his answer as the floor above them, the 3rd floor, collapse and through the debris came Kendo with both her arms looking metallic but also rough like a rock.Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road.     As he wasn''t exactly expecting it, she got a punch off on his face. It hurt.


    After her punch, she was hit away by something incredibly hard and fast.


    "That hurt, Kendo-san." Hayato spoke in an incredibly friendly voice as if to hide his anger at being punched by what felt like a train.


    ''Get your head in the game, Hayato!''


    He gave himself a mental slap and entered full muscle form and ran at the two girls with blistering speed.


    Meanwhile, in the monitor room with All Might and the other students, people were asking All Might questions.


    "All Might, why''s Tagami-san struggling? He''s much stronger than the other two isn''t her?" Said Iida, with his usual serious expression and matching voice.


    "Iida-kun, it''s not that Hacchan isn''t strong enough, he''s just trying to not destroy the building if he can help it. If he went full power, the building would collapse." before All Might could answer, Izuku came in and explained why Hayato hadn''t taken them both out instantly.


    All Might nodded and spoke "Young Midoriya is right, if Young Tagami went full power he could get the heroes near instantly but the building could collapse on them. And although he''s supposed to be a villain, he''s showing a very hero-like trait." he nodded his head, proud of Hayato''s cautiousness.


    Back to the fight, Hayato was slowly but surely pushing Toga and Kendo into a corner so he could capture them. Seeing the dire situation, Kendo looked at Toga and spoke "Toga, take my blood, you should be able to go against him then!" she spoke with such desperation that you''d think this was real.


    Toga shakily nodded her head and cut Kendo and sucked a lot of blood out of her. Kendo paled and passed out but she''d survive because of how strong her physique was anyway. Toga, on the other hand, seemed as if she was some kid who was hyperactive off of some sugar.


    She shot towards Hayato with incredible speed and agility. Hayato was shocked because she was slightly quicker and more agile than him at the moment. This let her get many slashes on him. Hayato, even under the assault of many knife slashes, still seemed calm and looked at the watch on his right wrist.


    ''Okay, 2 minutes left.''


    Hayato knew he wouldn''t be able to catch Toga unless he went into [Oni Mode] and that mode''s strength would cause the building to collapse.


    As he was taking slash after slash to his arms, he didn''t notice that Kendo was creeping behind him and the paleness on her face had vanished mysteriously. She prepped herself so she was ready to take Hayato down. She put all her energy on making her right arm as strong as she could, like before it looked metallic but had the roughness of rock but this time her arm was massive and would sure pack a much bigger punch.


    She saw that Toga had all of his attention and thus charged at him according to her plan with Toga. When she was in range, she threw her fist with everything she had and Hayato noticed it all too late and got hit by it and went flying through multiple pillars and walls.


    Toga and Kendo jumped into the air in celebration, swearing mentally that they''d buy Hayato as much food as he wanted after this. They would have carried on celebrating if it weren''t for All Might voice blasting over the speakers in the building. Strangely, he sounded...worried?


    "You two, get out of there, now! Tagami, calm down, now!" All Might shouted with his usual boisterous voice but he seemed anxious and when they looked in the direction of where Hayato was sent flying, they knew why.


    "Thanks, you two, for putting a stop to my arrogance. I''ll make sure to do what I need to now." Hayato spoke in a strange and calm voice as an aura of power radiated off of him. His muscle form darkened into a near black red and red lightning crackled all over his form. Looking at his eyes, his pupils had turned into slits and his red eyes looked alive like a red inferno. His canines had become longer and sharper looking.


    He also had two new horns to the outside of his original horns. The new horns were smaller than the original ones but they still added to his menacing look.


    He appeared in front of the pair and ''lightly'' kicked them. They were knocked unconscious instantly and sent through many walls and pillars and then right out of the building. They were covered in bruises and cuts. Luckily they both had strong bodies and weren''t damaged permanently.


    Hayato went back to the where the bomb was and appeared in front of Todoroki as if he teleported there. She jumped back in shock and looked at Hayato in wonder, his unique appearance at the minute seemed to make her incredibly curious about who he was.


    "Game...game over, Villain Team wins!" All Might''s voice didn''t sound as boisterous anymore. After the announcement, Hayato collapsed and Todoroki looked at him surprised. She decided to help him out and she pretty much half-dragged, half-carried him to the exit of the building.


    When she saw the Hero team''s state, she looked at Hayato in even more shock.


    All Might came over to Hayato and popped a few round pills into his mouth. When asked by Izuku what they were he answered that they were highly dense food pills and Hayato had requested them.


    Everyone in the class looked at the building and the damage caused by both teams and decided not to mess with either of them, especially Hayato.

 Chapter 6 - Rescue Training Gone Wrong~

    Hayato woke up in a bed. He looked around and saw that he was in the infirmary with quite a few IV drips attached to him. Hayato guessed that these IV''s were giving him nutrients so his body didn''t starve itself after his display earlier.


    Fortunately, he found that entering that mode had improved both his control over his energy and how much he could store. Looking into his body he found a new stream of hormones but these were slightly different from the original ones.


    The new hormones improved his healing rate, as opposed to the original hormone''s job which was just to nourish and enhance the entire body.


    Hayato didn''t see a disadvantage so he soon shrugged it off and got off the bed he was on while taking out the IV''s attached to him. He looked around the room and saw Izuku lying on a bed as well with a cast on his arm. Hayato went over to him and poked his shoulder until he woke up.


    "...5 more minutes...please..." Izuku tiredly mumbled out. Hayato wasn''t having any of it and started poking him with more strength. Izuku soon woke up and got surprised by how Hayato was standing over him, going to poke him again.


    After seeing if he was okay, Hayato helped Izuku sit up and said they''d wait until Recovery Girl got here before they left. It didn''t take long for her to show up. She was surprised that both of them were awake this early. She gave them both the all clear and told Izuku that he''d need to come to the Infirmary again tomorrow morning so she could heal him fully.


    After being told they could leave, Hayato and Izuku walked back to their classroom. When they arrived people came up to them and started speaking about how they both looked so strong in their combat training.


    Hayato saw Kendo and Toga and felt guilty because in their training he really did hit them a bit hard. He walked over to them and apologized "You two, I''m...I''m sorry about earlier, I kinda get like that when I enter that mode..." his voice was much quieter than usual and seemed slightly nervous.


    Kendo and Toga both started laughing at the site of Hayato looking nervous.


    "It''s okay, you big dumbo, we''re both fine, see?" Kendo spoke with a bright smile on her face and with a reassuring tone. Toga also spoke to him "Don''t worry about it, Tagami-kun, you''ll just have to take us out for dinner one of the days~" saying this she winked at him and she and Kendo started laughing even more.


    Seeing they were good enough to continue trying to tease him, Hayato smiled and nodded at them both. They both went a bit red seeing Hayato smile. He was quite a handsome guy.


    Hayato looked over at the others who were introducing themselves to Izuku and walked over to them. He introduced himself to them and talked with them for a while. Izuku saw that Katsuki''s desk was empty and asked the others where he went and he soon ran off to find him.


    Hayato had a simple idea of what was about to happen, so he simply went over to the window where Kendo and Toga were talking and looked at the main gate of the school. Every now and then he''d talk to Kendo and Toga and he promised to take them out for something to eat tomorrow.


    When Katsuki and Izuku were talking, Ashido Mina, Ochaco, and Asui Tsuyu came over and watched them with Hayato. When they asked why Hayato was watching he told them it was so he could stop Katsuki if he tried to hurt Izuku. Ashido seemed to admire him for that.


    After seeing everything was fine, they all left the window and started speaking. Hayato was surrounded by girls at the minute, two of which kept trying to tease him. When the others realized that Hayato was a nice guy and wouldn''t kill them for teasing him, they joined in. Hayato could only lament the fact that Izuku wasn''t here and none of the boys in the class seemed like they were going to help him.


    Hayato used a power most reincarnated people have: Thick skin. He wasn''t bothered by their teasings, in fact, he fired a few teasings of his own back at them which soon made them either laugh or go quiet. Hayato was shaping up to be a social butterfly.


    After all of this, everyone went home. Hayato walked to the station with his usual lot: Izuku, Iida, Ochaco, Kendo, and Toga.


    Hayato got home quite quickly and devoured a few big plates of food while talking to his dad. After walking up to his room he looked at himself in the mirror. He had a new pair of horns but that was it. However, he felt so much stronger for some reason. His body was overflowing with vitality, which was because of the new hormone, which he called R hormone. But the original hormone''s, the O hormone, production had sped up even further than before after his battle.


    Hayato knew he wouldn''t be able to discover the reason why, so he got undressed and got in his bed to sleep.


    Waking up in the morning, Hayato got ready for his day at school. He got dressed, had some ''light'' breakfast and then brushed his teeth before meeting Izuku outside of his house.


    When they arrived at school, they were surrounded by the press. Hayato picked Izuku up and pushed through the reporters and cameramen and women. He didn''t really feel like speaking to the press this early in the morning.


    They had Math and English in the morning. Luckily, it seemed to pass quite quickly for Hayato. Before they were let off for lunch, they had to decide who would be the Class Representative. After a quick voting poll, Hayato was elected as the Class Rep and Kendo was elected as his deputy. Hayato didn''t care much about it all but he guessed that it would help him get noticed by a hero agency quicker.


    During Lunch, Hayato was gulping down food when an alarm went off. Knowing that it was just the press, Hayato just kept eating and let nature take its course with all the other students. They were charging towards the exit. Soon after Iida came to the rescue and calmed everyone down.


    Hayato finished his food and got up and left to catch up with the others. They went back to class for their Heroics lessons.


    Aizawa-sensei was there and he was waiting for all of us to sit down. He told them that they would be having some kind of special training.


    "You''re all heroes-in-training so we have to teach you not only to fight but to rescue people as well. You''ll be dealing with natural disasters, terrorist attacks etc, so you''ll need to know how to react in those situations. This is where Rescue training comes in." Aizawa-sensei''s tired voice spoke with his usual no-enthusiasm attitude.


    He also told the class that there would be three faculty members going with them and that they would be taking a bus to get there. So they should get changed into their hero costumes if they wanted to, while they had the chance.


    Hayato took him up on this offer and put on his hero costume, once again, he looked like some kind of armored ninja.


    They all lined up to get on the bus, Hayato was a much more lax Class Rep than Iida would have been and he thought the class was grateful for that. But they didn''t factor in that his Deputy Class Rep was quite a handful.


    "EVERYONE! Make sure to get on the bus in an orderly fashion!" Kendo yelled at the top of her voice, she seemed like some kind of army staff sergeant. When everyone was on the bus they all had a little chat with each other.


    Katsuki was exploding at anything said to him, while Izuku was speaking to Asui and Kirishima about his power and how Izuku thought Kirishima''s power was pro worthy. Hayato however, just sat there and occasionally spoke to Kendo or Toga, he just sat there with his eyes closed because he knew what was about to happen and he had a gut feeling that it would be worse than what happened in the show.


    "Everyone, shut up because we''re here!" Aizawa-sensei spoke in a derisive way, like usual and make sure everyone got off of the bus in an orderly fashion.


    When everyone was off, they met the rescue hero 13. He wasn''t tall, nor short and he wore a bulky space suit. He did a whole speech about how their powers aren''t for hurting people but for saving people. Hayato agreed with the speech and respected 13 for his wise demeanor and his passionate attitude to what he loves.Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.


    When Aizawa-sensei told them all that the training was about to start, a black and purple portal showed up, just like in the show, and from it, people started coming out of it. Everyone other than Hayato started asking if the training had started and some were getting worried. Aizawa-sensei roared at them to stay where they were.


    "This is real! Those people there are villains!" Aizawa-sensei practically screamed the last parts as he told 13 to keep the students safe.


    "Aizawa-sensei, I can help you--" as Hayato tried to convince the teacher to let him help, Aizawa-sensei glared at him and at that moment Hayato knew that Aizawa-sensei would never let him go up against those villains unless it was absolutely necessary.


    The reason Hayato so desperately wanted to help was that there was something different. There wasn''t just one Nomu, there were 3. Sure two of them were smaller than the one Hayato remembered from the show but a Nomu was a Nomu no matter its size.


    Before he could make a more compelling argument, Aizawa-sensei jumped down to where the villains were. He was putting up a good fight, none of the villains could even touch him.


    Hayato shook his head and ran with the rest of the class to the exit. The shadow-y guy who brought all the villains here through his quirk appeared in front of Hayato and his class. And just like in the show, Kirishima and Katsuki attacked the shadow.


    It didn''t do any damage and the shadow enveloped everyone. Iida grabbed some people and dived out, while Hayato couldn''t see anyone so he jumped out in a random direction. He appeared outside of the orb of darkness where most of the class were and he saw Iida and a few others to his right.


    If what happened in the show happened now, everyone in that orb had been warped to a different location.


    13 told Iida to run back to the school and tell the faculty what was happening. Iida needed some convincing because he thought that it was dishonorable to run from a battle but Hayato put a hand on his shoulder and stressed that he''d be saving all of his classmates.


    The shadow, who introduced himself as Kurogiri lurched for Iida, luckily 13 used his quirk "Black Hole" and sucked in the advancing gas. Kurogiri found a way around this as he opened up a warp gate in front of himself and opened one behind 13 sucking him in with his own power.


    Iida started running for the exit at this point. When Kurogiri tried to go for him, Hayato came out of nowhere and slapped the gas aside with the help of the air pressure from the result of swinging his arm with immense strength.


    Kurogiri didn''t appreciate this and sent another few torrents of gas, but Hayato stopped them all and brought some time for Iida to make it to the exit. As Hayato was stopping the gas, Ochaco used her quirk "Zero Gravity" on the neck armor Kurogiri had on his gaseous body. She threw it upwards and Kurogiri got dragged with it. Iida made it to the exit and started to pry it open.


    Hayato appeared next to him and instantly blew the doors off of their hinges with a punch "Go Iida!" was what Hayato roared as Iida shot off towards the school.


    Hayato turned around and saw Kurogiri spreading his gas towards him. Hayato activated his muscle mode and shot towards the main body with the neck armor. When Hayato got close enough he grabbed the armor and flung it with as much strength as he could, creating a wave of turbulent air from him at the center. Kurogiri shot off with his neck armor and strangely didn''t come back, probably because he knew it was over; Iida would get help.


    Hayato looked over to where Aizawa-sensei was fighting but all he saw was the two smaller Nomu head holding one of his arms and they kept periodically slamming his head into the concrete.


    Hayato activated [Oni Mode: x5] and shot over towards them at his quickest speed.


    By the time he''d got there, Izuku was about to hit Shigaraki. As Hayato looked at Shigaraki, he saw a pale, tall-ish man with light blue hair. He had 14 disembodied hands holding onto his body, their positions were his arms, chest, neck, head, and face. He looked incredibly sinister because of these hands.


    When Izuku''s fully charged attack was about to his Shigaraki, a small Nomu appeared out of nowhere and took the hit. The wind from the hit sent the water right next to them into turmoil and sent villains on the ground away like they were dead leaves.


    But the Nomu only took a simple step back. It grabbed Izuku''s arm and went to hit his face with a full powered shot.


    Hayato saw this and a world burning fury came up from his stomach "Leave my friend alone, trash." Hayato spoke and even though he sounded calm, everyone around him could hear the burning fury in his voice, the underlying hatred he felt for those who would harm his friends.


    Even though he was someone who didn''t originally belong to this world, he lived here now. He treated this world and the people he called friends like this was his first life like they were his first friends.


    Hayato went into [Oni Mode: x10] and appeared next to the Nomu and got Izuku out of its grasp.


    ''All Might hasn''t appeared like he did in the show yet, so I''ve got to protect them, all of them, my classmates--!''


    After throwing Izuku to the ground knowing he could take the pain for a little while longer, Hayato faced the Nomu and forced every last bit of power into his arm. He dug his feet into the ground, sending cracks throughout the surrounding concrete. He swung his right fist upwards toward the Nomu''s face, uppercutting it.


    "BANG!*


    When the blow connected, the Nomu flew up into the air for about 10 meters before it dropped back down to the ground. The area around Hayato was cracked and destroyed and his right arm was bleeding as he pushed himself slightly too far. The wind from this collision was stronger than when Izuku hit it, not because of just raw power but because of the technique of the punch added to the raw physical power.


    Hayato looked incredibly worn out even after just one punch but the strength he put into that punch was immense and it wasted a lot of his stored energy.


    Hayato''s face paled as what he thought was gonna happen, happened. The smaller Nomu got up. It was missing it''s lower jaw and its brain seemed partly damaged but it still got up. It didn''t seem to have healing abilities like the Large Nomu but it still charged at the weakened Hayato and started punching him, it used one hand to hold him and the other to constantly bash him.


    The Nomu slammed its fist into Hayato''s face, his chest, his stomach, whatever it could. It pushed his head into the ground repeatedly.


    Even after all this physical pain, Hayato was still alive but only barely.


    ''Jesus Christ, how does All Might do this, everything hurts...Heal...just fucking heal, get back up...!''


    As Hayato looked at the dome above them with his surprisingly still working eyes and mentally screamed for his body to get back up, for it to heal. But it was useless, he was weak, he couldn''t do anything.


    Thinking all these thoughts, Hayato couldn''t help but get mad with himself, he thought he''d at least be able to handle the smaller Nomu for a little longer than he did. As he was thinking this, his smaller horns were going into overdrive producing the R hormone, his body started stitching itself back together but stronger, better, more durable this time.


    Hayato slowly tried to get up as Shigaraki spoke "Oh? Is he still getting back up after that beating? What an admirable youth." he spoke with mocking derisiveness as he looked at Hayato. "I hate admirable people the most, Nomu kill him."


    Multiple people nearby screamed but they soon stopped as they saw Hayato put his hand on the arm of the Nomu which was holding him down. They got quieter when they saw him slowly lifting himself with his feet firmly planted on the ground.


    "Hey villain, you ever heard these words? Go Beyond--!" Hayato''s voice broke the silence as he quoted All Might, he spoke with a brilliant smile on his face showing off his sharp canines, his mask destroyed in the beating the Nomu just gave him. His voice burned with passion, with anger and heat as he pushed against the Nomu who was trying to push him back down into the ground.


    Weirdly, Hayato had a new horn right in the middle of his original horns it was about the same size as the original ones but it was slightly bigger. All his horns together looked like a five-pointed crown.


    If the original horns focused on nourishing the Muscles and Tendons and the second pair focused on nourishing Hayato''s blood, internal organs and overall healing ability, then this singular horn focused on nourishing his bones and his skin to be harder and denser.


    Black lines stretched from his eyes to his jawline, they were jagged but had a certain beauty about them.


    By now, Hayato was fully standing up with one of his hands prying the Nomu''s giant hand off of his face and the other cocked back in a fist. "PLUS ULTRA!!" Hayato roared at the Nomu as he threw his fist forward and hit the Nomu right in the chest.


    A massive boom of sound went off as his fist collided with the Nomu''s chest as the air around them practically exploded around them.


    The Nomu was sent flying by the punch and went straight through a mountain. As he was flying through the air though, his chest and back exploded as they couldn''t handle the shock they''d just absorbed.


    Hayato''s arm was bleeding and looked slightly red, he''d pushed himself much too far. But he''d done what was needed.


    "Do not fear, FOR.I.AM.HERE!" All Might had appeared, he looked absolutely furious as he roared.


    Hayato fell down onto his knees as he felt incredibly worn out and hungry. He pulled out some small, round pills which were the hyper-compressed food pills and ate them all. After doing this All Might appeared in front of him "Well done, Young Tagami, you''ve done us, Heroes, proud!" All Might smiled at Hayato as he patted him on the shoulder.


    The other small Nomu appeared out nowhere and All Might instantly crushed it with a quick punch to its head.


    "I''ll deal with you guys later." All Might spoke in a serious voice as he glared at the villains.


    "All Might be careful, that Large Nomu was made to kill you..." after saying this in a weakened voice, Hayato collapsed.

 Chapter 7 - All Mights Power

    All Might looked at the barely awake Hayato with a proud glint in his eyes. In fact, he''d been there just as Hayato had said ''Go Beyond!'', the reason he didn''t interfere was that he knew Hayato could grow in this situation and if he couldn''t he was prepared to step in.


    "Midoriya, get Aizawa-sensei and Tagami out of here." All Might spoke to Izuku, Asui, and Toga before he turned around and faced Shigaraki, Kurogiri and the Large Nomu with a scowl on his face.


    As he had a death staring competition with the Villains, Toga carried Hayato with a worried expression on her face, while Asui and Izuku helped each other hold Aizawa-sensei. Toga glared at the villains with hatred, especially the Large Nomu who looked like a bigger version of what hurt Hayato, in her eyes.


    "Midoriya-kun, did you know Tagami-san was this strong? Ribbet." Asui asked with a curious look in her eye as she looked at Hayato.


    "I never knew Hacchan was this strong but he''s always been exceptionally strong. Ever since we were kids he''d always stick up for me and after a while he got strong." Izuku said as he walked on, but if one were to look at his face, it was full of admiration for Hayato. It was also apparent from his tone of voice that he thought Hayato was some kind of natural-born hero.


    "Well, neither of you have taken a hit off of him. In the battle training, he simply kicked me and I was out. He''s extremely strong." Toga spoke with a weird pride. Asui and Izuku both thought that it wasn''t anything to be proud of but each to their own.


    They got back to the top of the stairs where some of the class were. Kendo and some others son arrived after them.


    Seeing Hayato who looked like he''d just been a punching bag for someone, Kendo rushed over to him "Hayato! Hayato, are you okay!?" she practically screamed at him, her usual optimism and bright face gone and replaced with a teary face which looked, in all honesty, quite comical.


    "Calm down Kendo! He''ll be fine, look he''s already healing!" Toga had to drag the crying Kendo off of Hayato, she looked jealous while doing so and it seemed to fuel her strength to get Kendo off of Hayato.


    Everyone was looking at Hayato in awe as they''d seen him fighting the smaller Nomu. They couldn''t believe someone the same age as them could have such strength.


    "Urgh...Jesus Christ, everything hurts..." Hayato spat out a glob of blood as he spoke in short bursts as every time he took a breath his cracked ribs sent pain cascading through his nervous system. Everyone around him had their eyes focused on him like hawks, they were surprised he was even still conscious.


    "Why..are you...all looking at me?... Am I that Handsome?...Hahaha...owww...fuck...hahaha" Hayato seemed to be the only one who found his joke funny as he kept switching between laughing and wincing in pain.


    Hayato reached into his pocket and brought out more compressed food pills and threw them into his mouth. He needed the energy so he could heal quicker.


    Following his wish, his horns started producing more of the R hormone, the hormone which healed his body before. His body was slowly healing quicker and quicker. Hayato focused the healing on the more damaged parts like his ribs and arms.


    While he was healing, he looked over at where All Might was fighting the Large Nomu.


    All Might was throwing punches at the Nomu''s face and they were having no effect. Hayato worked out that the Nomu he fought didn''t have even a quarter of the Large Nomu''s shock absorption and this shocked him, he didn''t know how All Might did.


    Hayato didn''t know how he even stood up to such a daunting threat, this was why Hayato respected All Might from the bottom of his heart; Because he never gave up, no matter the odds.


    Seeing that nothing was working, All Might grabbed the Nomu and suplexed him into the ground. The force of the impact sent clouds of dust up into the air.


    When they cleared, to the horror of everyone watching, Kurogiri had opened a warp gate where All Might had planned to suplex Nomu and the exit Warp gate opened up below All Might letting Nomu grab and dig his fingers into All Might''s right side.


    This was where All Might''s weakness was. After a particularly intense fight, he''d been injured in that place, just below the ribs where his stomach should be. The injury destroyed most of his respiratory system and destroyed his stomach. Because of this, he has a limited amount of time in his ''Hero Form'' which is his muscular and tall, super strong form.


    All Might has one weakness in that form and it''s where Nomu is currently digging his fingers into.


    Hayato couldn''t help but wince as he imagined the pain All Might must be going through.


    Before people knew he''d done it, Izuku had started running as fast as he could towards where All Might was fighting. By the time he got there, Nomu''s fingers had caused loads of blood to gush out of All Might''s side.


    Hayato couldn''t hear anything but he''d bet a lot of money that Shigaraki would be monologing at the minute or at the very least making snide comments.


    Izuku had reached Kurogiri and screamed something along the lines of "Get away from All Might!" as he reached out his hand. Unluckily for Izuku, Kurogiri simply opened a warp gate in front of Izuku so he''d get sent to a random location.


    Before he went through the portal, Katsuki came out of nowhere and shot off an explosion on Kurogiri''s weakness; The metal plates on his Gaseous body.


    While Katsuki held Kurogiri down, Todoroki came out of nowhere and used her Ice Manipulation to freeze the half of Nomu''s body that was clawing at All Might''s weakness. All Might took advantage of the grip loosening because of the ice and got out of Nomu''s grip and jumped over to where Todoroki was, as he landed he winced and held his side.


    Kirishima came out of nowhere as well and tried to slice at Shigaraki but unfortunately missed. He retreated back towards where Todoroki, Katsuki, and Izuku were.


    People around Hayato exclaimed about how they saved All Might and Hayato smiled, he felt like he was back watching the Anime again.


    Shigaraki seemed to order Nomu to kill them all. To everyone''s shock, other than Hayato who was too tired, hungry and in too much pain to show shock, Nomu stood up and in the process of doing so, shattered both his arm and leg that were completely frozen solid.


    Nomu balanced himself with his remaining limbs and kinda kneeled there until suddenly he healed back his arms and legs. Everyone gasped as they saw the unblemished body of Nomu.


    The newly healed Nomu charged towards Katsuki who was holding Kurogiri captive. Before anyone could react, a pang of pain went through everyone''s ears as a gigantic sound echoed through the dome. It seemed that Nomu had hit someone.


    It wasn''t Katsuki but in fact All Might, who pushed Katsuki out of the way and blocked Nomu''s punch. He was sent flying backward into a concrete wall that was completely decimated. He would have flown further if it wasn''t for the fact that he''d dug his feet into the ground and stopped himself, leaving a long trail of dug up concrete.Stolen content alert: this content belongs on Royal Road.     When the dust finally disappeared fully, All Might was shown with his arms in the form of a criss-cross guard and he was breathing very heavily.


    Everyone near to the collision was thrown back quite a few meters from the air pressure. All Might and the Villains were currently in a stalemate and Shigaraki was monologing again.


    Hayato had healed enough to be able to actually sit up. His ribs were basically healed if you didn''t look at the many small cracks in them. His arms, however, were fully healed apart from the bruising and some cuts on his skin.


    He stood up and ate all of the remaining compressed food pills.


    Hayato was still in a world of pain, his was currently bleeding internally and the vertebrae making up his spine had a shaky-at-best kind of condition. But he put on a brave face and hoped he''d heal quicker.


    "Tagami! Sit back down you need rest!" Kendo shouted at him as she saw him standing up. Her shout brought the attention of the others. They looked at Hayato in shock as they knew how injured he was after Toga and Kendo did a quick body check on him with the help of Ashido.


    The most common thought going through all of their heads was ''How is he standing!? His organs might as well be in pieces! And his skeletal system looks like a jigsaw puzzle!''


    Toga tried to get him to sit but she was scared of hurting him so she didn''t really put any effort into it "Tagami, sit down right now! It isn''t the time to be stubborn and to try and show off!" was all Toga said after her failed attempts at getting him to sit down, he usual playfulness was gone, replaced by worry for her friend.


    Hayato smiled at them and told them not to worry. They didn''t seem convinced by what he said but they knew they wouldn''t be able to force him to sit down.


    Hayato and the others turned their attention to where All Might was.


    While they were all distracted, Hayato activated his muscle form and lightly ran towards where the fight was about to happen, it hurt but he was healing at the same time so he kept running. He heard yelling and screaming behind him but he simply put his thumb up towards them to signal that everything was going to be okay.


    On his way there, he watched Shigaraki charge at Kirishima, Todoroki, Katsuki, and Izuku.


    Out of nowhere, All Might charged to intercept Shigaraki. Nomu met his charge and the two started hitting each other.


    Hayato was now close enough to hear them speak "Didn''t you hear me? His quirk is Shock Absorption, you won''t be able to beat him!" Shigaraki''s crazed voice rang throughout the surrounding area as he was flung into the air from the wind created from All Might and Nomu''s fight.


    "Oh yeah? What about it?!" Was All Might''s response as he continued hitting Nomu. The speed of their fight was humbling, Hayato could barely make out their punches and even then he knew he wouldn''t be able to withstand or dodge any of them.


    "He said your quirk was Shock Absorption, not Shock Nullification, so there''s got to be a limit to what you can take, right?!" All Might stepped up the intensity of the fight with each word that came out of his mouth. Every word was full of confidence and passion.


    Nomu seemed to be being pushed back and he was taking a small amount of damage from the punches he was supposed to be immune to. Shigaraki looked shocked at the information.


    "Made to fight me, huh big guy?" All Might roared this as he started stepping forward, pushing Nomu back as he kept punching harder and harder "If you can take me on at my 100%, then I''ll just have to go beyond that, WON''T I?!" the ground around the both of them started cracking up into dust as All Might''s very steps were filled with monumental power.


    By this point, Nomu was getting his ass handed to him, he couldn''t stop All Might''s momentum.


    All of All Might''s punches weren''t random either, they were aimed and every punch was a punch that was beyond his maximum strength. Hayato could wrap his head around how he did it, as he himself had thrown a punch that was beyond his limit and he couldn''t even move after doing so.


    Hayato''s eyes were full of passion and admiration when he looked at All Might; This was whom he wanted to be like.


    One particular punch sent Nomu flying through the forest they were fighting next to. All Might jumped after him "A hero..." as he said this Nomu charged at him and All Might sent a punch right into his face "...can always break out of a tough spot!" after saying this All Might blocked a hit from Nomu with both his hands and counter-attacked by dropkicking Nomu into the ground.


    Nomu bounced up into the air because of the force of the dropkick. All Might jumped at Nomu, who was in mid-air and grabbed Nomu''s arm and spun mid-air while grunting and once he''d built up enough momentum, he let Nomu go with a roar and threw him right into the ground.


    *BANG!*


    The ground collapsed into a deep crater with Nomu at the center, cracks stretched for hundreds of meters and showed off how much power was in that throw.


    Hayato stopped running as he arrived near Izuku but also because he couldn''t help but stop in the face of such power, he was in awe. He couldn''t stop wishing that he could be as powerful as All Might because, in front of him, Hayato felt like a child; Someone who paled in comparison to All Might''s power.


    Hayato knew everyone around him felt the same, as Izuku, Kirishima, Katsuki, and Todoroki all had faces full of shock and awe.


    All Might shot down to the ground right next to Nomu "You must''ve heard what my student said earlier, Villain, so I''ll give you a taste of what it means--!" All Might''s roar shook everyone''s hearts as he pulled back his fist "GO BEYOND! PLUS--!" All Might swung his fist at Nomu''s chest and when it hit he roared "ULTRAAA!" and as he yelled this, Nomu''s body started to go orange from the heat his body was holding from absorbing All Might''s Plus Ultra punch.


    *WHOOSH!*


    Nomu shot into the sky, completely destroying a part of the dome above them, from the hole, Hayato could see the clouds parting as Nomu was shot through them.


    Hayato felt shivers going through his body as he saw such a display of power. His inner All Might fanboy was going crazy. It went crazy when All Might said "I truly have gotten weaker...in my prime, it would''ve taken 5 hits! But it took more than 300 hits" he said this with a boisterous yet worn out voice but he still managed to laugh despite his terrible condition.


    Shigaraki and Kurogiri both looked shocked with both surprise and fear filling their faces. Shigaraki starting scratching his neck and Hayato couldn''t help but get weird out by the fact it sounded like he was scratching the dead skin off of his neck.


    All Might broke the silence once again "Now Villains...I''m sure we''d all like this to end as soon as possible." he spoke with confidence but Hayato knew he was bluffing. So he decided to back him up and walked over next to him "Yeah, no point in you fighting us, you saw what I did to that Smaller Nomu and I bet neither of you is stronger than it. So back off." Hayato''s voice was also full of confidence as he put a bright and very hero-like smile on.


    Shigaraki started scratching his neck even more aggressively as he kept mumbling to himself about how All Might isn''t any weaker and how the information was wrong.


    Hayato wished to speed this up so he spoke "You wanted to kill us, right? So come, come and give it your best shot." Hayato''s previously bright smile disappeared from his face as he entered [Oni Mode] to show off his power, his red eyes looked like red infernos filled with blood, like a wild beast''s, from Shigaraki''s perspective.


    Shigaraki flinched backward towards Kurogiri and motioned for him to open a portal for them to get out of here. Kurogiri followed the order and opened a warp gate. Shigaraki walked into it but turned around to glare at both All Might and Hayato as he spoke "I''ll get you both next time. Especially you, you annoying brat." As he said this, his eyes went incredibly bloodshot as Hayato could see glimpses of a manic smile of Shigaraki''s pale and cracked face.


    As he turned around a gunshot went off and a bullet flew and hit Shigaraki''s hand that was the only thing that hadn''t gone through the warp gate. The hand quickly slithered into the portal soon after it was shot.


    "Do not worry students, we, the faculty of U.A. High School, have arrived!" Hayato heard the happy and bright voice of the principal through a megaphone and couldn''t help but let a happy smile come across his face as he collapsed down onto one of his knees and exited [Oni Mode] as he coughed up some blood, he soon passed out.


    After making sure no one saw All Might, Cementoss, one of the teachers at U.A, used his quirk and manipulated the cement to make a wall that cut off all eyes from All Might''s powered down skinny form.


    All Might checked Hayato''s pulse regardless of his own injuries and sighed with a smile on his face when he knew Hayato was fine "What am I gonna do with you two?" as he said this he looked over at Izuku who was running over to see how Hayato was.


    Time passed and all the students were taken back to U.A and Hayato, All Might and Izuku were taken to Recovery Girl in the Infirmary.


    Hayato woke up to the grey-haired old granny, Recovery Girl, healing his internal organs and ribs. He looked around and saw his entire body was covered in bandages and he had loads of UV drips feeding him nutrition. He also saw All Might lying on a bed adjacent to him and Izuku was sitting between them with a cast and bandages around his left hand.


    Hayato had a content smile. He looked back on his fight with the smaller Nomu and felt that he was very much like a Hero and he felt proud of that fact. Of course, he wasn''t going to get arrogant over it, he just wanted to remember it as the start to his path of becoming a Hero.


    Hayato lay back and closed his eyes as he relaxed. Today had been an eventful day.

 Chapter 8 - Day off and Discovering a way to get stronger~

    After relaxing for a while, Hayato got up and told Recovery Girl that he was okay and that he could go home. He also told her to tell Izuku and All Might that he was fine. Recovery Girl gently smiled and nodded in agreement to his request.


    After saying thanks, Hayato left the infirmary. When he was on his way out of the gate, he saw Kendo and Toga. When he got closer he surprisingly saw Todoroki. Before Hayato could really compute this, he saw that Kendo was glaring at him while pouting; She seemed like she was sulking.


    Kendo was heaven compared to what Toga was doing. She was much more vocal and physical about her anger, "You idiot, were you born without a brain? Does your quirk make it so your brain was replaced by muscle or something?!" her usual bright and sweet voice was replaced by one of anger and derision. She kept cursing Hayato for being a brainless idiot and kept hitting his chest.


    This wasn''t the "cute anime girl from some harem anime" kind of chest hitting. No, it was "World Heavyweight Championship" kind of hitting. Luckily, Hayato was sturdier than most and was largely unaffected.


    All Hayato could do was let her go on at him. She seemed to be mad about Hayato putting himself at risk against the Nomu. He couldn''t exactly blame her, he''d be mad if she or any of the others tried to fight that Nomu. Because of this, Hayato let her vent.


    When she was calming down, Hayato smiled at her and put his hand on Toga''s head, like you would do to a cat, and spoke to her in a gentle voice "I''m okay, Toga, you don''t have to go worrying about me, okay? I wouldn''t have gone into that fight if I didn''t know I would win." his attempts seemed to placate Toga quite a bit. But now he had to deal with 2 pouting girls, who occasionally started glaring at him.


    ''Note to self: Never let Toga find out that I had zero percent confidence in winning that fight. Ever.''


    Making that mental promise, Hayato heard Kendo speak "To make it up to us, you need to spend your day off with us tomorrow. We can invite others, but we all need to hang out." Hayato''s eye started twitching at what Kendo just said. She sounded so sure in her self that she was the one who''d been wronged.


    ''I was the one at risk, you know? I never put you two in any risk, so why does it seem like I''ve done something bad?!''


    As he mentally lamented, he remembered who else was here. Looking over to where Todoroki was, Hayato saw that she had a small smile on her face but as soon as she saw Hayato looking she tried to suppress it. Unluckily for her, she failed in doing so and only made her smile bigger.


    "Sorry about these two, Todoroki-san, they''re a bit mad at me right now." Hayato showed Todoroki a wry smile and apologized to Todoroki for showing off the same kind of drama as some kind of soap opera. Todoroki had an understanding expression on her face and she motioned for Hayato not apologize.


    "Don''t worry about it, Tagami-san, I''m just here to see how you''re doing and to thank you for protecting the class like you did. Seeing as you''re okay, I''ll skip right to the thanks." Her voice was calm and slightly cold, but it wasn''t meant to deter people, it was just how she was. Todoroki bowed slightly to Hayato "Thank you, for what you did."


    Hayato and the other two looked at her in shock. They didn''t know why she took the initiative to thank Hayato, mainly because she didn''t seem like she''d do that. They all soon got over their shock and chalked this up as another reason why not to judge a book by it''s cover.


    Hayato told Todoroki she didn''t need to thank him, he just did what he had to do. Todoroki only smiled at this and didn''t say anything.


    "Oh, Todoroko-san, do you want to come out with us tomorrow? It''d be fun!" When Toga talked to Todoroki she showed an attitude which was a complete opposite to what she''d been showing Hayato since she met him outside of school.


    "Hmmm, I''ll have to see If I''m free...I might have to do some personal errands to do but I''ll give you my number so you can contact me and I''ll get back to you, okay Toga-san?" Todoroki had a complicated expression for a second but it quickly disappeared and she gave Toga her phone number. Hayato noticed it but knew it was his business, so he didn''t bring up the weird expression.


    They all decided to walk to the station together. Todoroki lived close enough to the school, so she split off from the group and walked home. As Todoroki waved goodbye, the trio waved back and carried on walking, Hayato gave his number to Toga and Kendo and spoke to them about what they should do tomorrow.


    Kendo suggested they should go to some kind of park and relax, Toga and Hayato agreed with her but Hayato suggested they should go to his and have lunch first before heading to the park. When asked if that would be all right, Hayato laughingly explained to the two that his mom was used to cooking massive portions of food because of him and his dad''s appetite. When they got to the train station, Hayato told Toga to make a group chat with all of them in it. He gave her Izuku''s number and she already had Todoroki''s, Kendo''s and Ochaco''s, so she made the group chat.


    When he looked in the group chat, he saw his nickname and he couldn''t help but feel his eye aggressively twitching. If he didn''t have such control over his strength, he would have probably destroyed his phone. The nickname was:

    That wasn''t the worst part when he looked at Kendo and Toga''s nicknames he nearly burst a blood vessel in his eye:

    As he looked up from his phone he saw Toga and Kendo getting on their train pulling faces at him.


    If it weren''t illegal to use quirks in public and the fact that he''d get really hungry, he''d charged over there in [Oni Mode] and get on their train just to spite them. Hayato shook his head and couldn''t stop a smile from spreading across his face; He had some good (weird) friends.


    Hayato soon got on his own train and arrived at his station. He got off and looked around to see if anyone was around. When he knew the coast was clear, he activated his quirk and ran home. Before he knew it he was home.


    When he entered the door of his house, his mom shot out of the living room and towards him. She looked incredibly worried and she kept checking all over his body for anything that was wrong. At this moment she was the very personification of maternal instinct.


    "Are you okay, Hayato? Are you hurt? Do you want Mommy to help you upstairs to your room? Is there anything you need?" Getting barraged with questions, Hayato just smiled at her and told her he was fine. This did little to placate her worry but she stopped doing a full body search on him at least. Hayato heard some heavy footsteps and then saw his dad.


    His dad was shaking from what Hayato assumed was anger. He was partly right.


    "Are you okay, my son?! Do you need anything!?" His dad had run up to him and put his hands on Hayato''s shoulders. Upon closer inspection, Hayato saw the worry and redness in his dad''s eyes and even though he wasn''t being very vocal about, he could feel the anger radiating off of him.


    "Mom, Dad, I''m fine, don''t worry!" Hayato spoke to them in a reassuring voice and brought them both into a hug. They both returned his hug and his mom even started crying a bit.


    ''I must have worried them...what a bad son I am to worry his parents this much...I need to get stronger to avoid this happening again, otherwise, how could I consider myself a filial son?''


    Hayato and his parents soon broke up their hug after Hayato''s stomach started rumbling, which earned him a laughter-filled gaze from his mom and a loud booming laugh from his dad; Now they truly knew their son was okay because he still had his appetite.


    While his Mom went to make them all something to eat, Hayato went into the living room while his dad went to help his mom. He looked at his phone and saw that there''d been some new messages.


    Hayato''s Bestfriend: So what do you all think of the idea?


    Midoriya Izuku: I''ll come, it sounds like I''ll be able to relax if we do your plan Kendo-san. I can get there for 11 am like you said.


    Todoroki Shoka: I''m free tomorrow so I can come. I can get there at 11 am as well. Like Midoriya-san also said, it should be very relaxing. I just need Tagami-kun''s house address now.


    Ochaco Uraraka: I''ll come! It''ll be fun! (?>?<?)


    Seeing that everyone was able to come, Hayato was quite excited for tomorrow. He hadn''t really ever done any hangouts like this, it was usually just him and Deku playing video games in his room and sometimes going to the park.

    After sending a few more messages to the chat, Hayato got up and walked to the kitchen and asked his parents if he could have some friends round for lunch.     Soon after Hayato sorted all that out, the food was ready and he and his parent''s started digging into the mountain of food before them.


    After finishing the meal and feeling full, Hayato bid his parent''s goodnight and went to bed. He slept like a baby and woke up to his mom banging on his door at 9:30 am.


    He got up and put some jogging bottoms on, not bothering to put a top on. It was his own house, he didn''t really need to be wary of walking around with his upper body showing. He walked to his bathroom and brushed his teeth and washed his face before he went downstairs and had breakfast.


    His dad had already gone, he had some work to sort out at his Hero Agency so he wouldn''t be back for the entire day.


    After finishing his breakfast, Hayato grabbed a big towel from the freshly washed and dried stuff and went to have a shower. He spent about 15 minutes showering and just relaxing. The physical strain from the fight yesterday was non-existent but the mental strain was still present, so he chose to relax by letting the warm water wash away his stress.


    Hayato dried his hair with a hairdryer because if he used a towel it''d get stuck on his horns. And after that, dried his body. He put on a white t-shirt and some black tracksuit bottoms. He checked the time and saw that it was 10:10 am and he had plenty of time so he went downstairs and watched some tv.


    When it was 10:50 am, Hayato went and brushed his teeth again and he put some socks on. Soon after he was done, Hayato heard a knock on his door.


    Before he got there his mom was answering the door. Looking past her he saw that it was Toga, who had a big smile on her face. "Hello, I''m Toga Himiko, one of Tagami''s friends!" her enthusiasm and sweet tone seemed to daze his mom for a bit, so he came up beside his mom and motioned for Toga to come into the house.


    His mom soon snapped out of it and went back to the kitchen, while Toga and Hayato went into the living room.


    "Wooow! Look at the size of this living room! I knew your house was gonna be big just from seeing the front when I was walking over but this is something else." Toga''s voice and tone were just full of awe. Hayato just shrugged his shoulders, his parents were pro-heroes so his house was bound to be massive. Hayato seemed to forget that Toga didn''t know this.


    Hayato and Toga sat on the sofa next to each watching Tv and talking about random stuff. This was one of the reasons Hayato warmed up to her as a friend despite knowing what she was like in the show; She was incredibly easy to talk to. Mainly because she could spew out an endless fountain of topics.


    For example, Hayato and Toga had talked about what kind of carpets are the best to walk on and feel, what pizza is the best kind of pizza and what would be their dream holiday. And this was within the last 10 minutes. That''s not to say that each of the conversations was dry and died, no, they were vibrant and they came to a conclusion on all the subjects.


    Mainly because their interests and likes were quite aligned. She liked fluffy carpets and so did Hayato, they both thought BBQ Texas Pizza was God''s gift to mankind and they both wanted to visit Italy. Hayato thought that it was either Toga was pretending to like the same things as him, or he may have found some specifically bred to be his friend but either way, he didn''t care, he enjoyed her company.


    There was another knock at the door, which interrupted their current discussion about how good a Tv show they directed would be.


    Hayato got up and went to answer the door. It was Ochaco and Izuku. Ochaco had a duffel bag with her, which she mentioned in the chat earlier, she brought some stuff so they''d have something to do later at the park.


    Soon after, Kendo and Todoroki arrived,


    They were all sitting in the living room, talking until Izuku mentioned something to the group.


    "Hacchan, show the others the training room!" Izuku looked at Hayato with shining eyes. Hayato couldn''t help but drag his hand over his face, he should never have shown a hero fanatic like Izuku his dad''s training room.


    Hayato stood up and motioned for everyone to follow him and follow him they did, they were all incredibly curious.


    Hayato took them down into the basement and turned the lights on. What was shown was a big room with lots of high tech weight machines and some more normal weights on the ground. Everyone looked at the room and then looked at Hayato with expectation in his or her eyes.


    "...*sigh* You guys can play around on the stuff, just don''t break it or hurt yourself." Hayato resigned himself and let the others play around on the machines. Kendo morphed her arms into their battle versions and started lifting weights. Well, she tried to anyway.


    "Woah--!" When she started trying to lift them, she couldn''t. Her shocked face made Hayato smirk as she tried her best to lift the weight. Seeing his smirk, Kendo seemed to have steam coming out of her face.


    "Are you looking down on me, Tagami? How about you come and lift this, huh?!" Kendo, in her anger at being looked down on, didn''t realize that physical strength was Hayato''s forte. Hayato walked up to the weight and put his hand on it "Okay, watch this."


    After speaking, Hayato picked the weight up with ease. He looked at Kendo with a smug smile on his face. The others who were watching were laughing or trying to stifle their laughter.


    After this little ''contest'' they all messed around with the weights and Hayato helped them with the which weights they could lift; Pretty much the lightest ones. After they had enough time to sate their curiosity with the training room, they had all worked up an appetite.


    Lucky for them, Hayato''s mom had cooked them some food. They had a buffet and all ate as much as they could.


    "We''re gonna head out now then, Mom. See you later." Hayato said goodbye to his mom and walked outside with the others.


    4 hours later~


    "Man, I am beat. Hacchan, why''d you try so hard in that game of catch? You threw the ball a little too hard don''t you think?" Izuku whined towards Hayato and Toga, while he and Ochaco lay on the floor out of breath. They''d just had a game of catch where if your opponent can''t catch the ball or drops in, then you get a point. Eager to impress, Hayato didn''t exactly hold back anything during the game.


    "You''re just a sore loser Midoriya, Tagami won, that''s all he did." Toga came to Hayato''s defense and stuck her tongue out at Izuku.


    Leaving Toga and Izuku to argue, Hayato went over to the duffel bag Ochaco brought and took out a can of coke. Feeling how it was quite warm, Hayato frowned but soon an idea appeared in his head. "Hey, Todoroki-san, can you cool this can of coke down, please?" Hayato spoke to her with an almost begging tone; He was really thirsty.


    "Sure, Tagami-kun." She took the can off of him and had a mischievous glint in her eye. Hayato couldn''t stop her before she activated her quick "No, stop--!" The can was covered in ice before he could do anything, Hayato could only let his shoulders slump down as Todoroki passed him the block of ice containing his can. "Whoops, sorry Tagami-kun, I may have used too much of my power." She sounded like she was trying to be serious, but Hayato could see the tug at her lips which showed him she was suppressing a smile, he could also hear Toga and Kendo stifling their laughter behind him.


    Hayato took the block of ice and broke it, revealing the can. Hayato looked at the can with pity and simply put it back in the bag and picked out a new one.


    After this, all of them decided to leave, they''d relaxed and had quite a lot of fun, so their goal for coming here was complete.


    Hayato got home and watched Tv with his Mom for a while. When asked how his day out was from his mom, he described what happened to her and spoke to her about how they all decided to do it again sometime in the future. He also had to put up with his Mom''s teasing about how many of his friends are pretty girls.


    After having a quick bit of food, Hayato went to relax in his room. He listened to some music while thinking about how to make his quirk better.


    He looked at the horns on his head and thought about the names for the hormones they released. Hayato didn''t entirely come up with their names, they actually came to him, like he was remembering what they were called. He put it down as something to do with his quirk and how he was still awakening its full potential. Hayato thought that this was weird because it meant that the letters could mean things.


    Thinking this, Hayato put the letters in a line, in his head, in the order of when the horns appeared. What he got was O, which was first, R, which was second and finally, B. ORB. Hayato suddenly had an idea. He followed the hormones from the horns to where they went.


    He used to think that they went from the horns to their specific part, like how O went to his muscles and tendons, R went to his organs and blood and B went to his bones and skin. But following the hormones, his new control and ability to follow the energy inside of himself, he saw that the hormones went from the horns to the place where his energy was stored. Looking at it, it didn''t look like a simple energy storing place. It looked like an organ.


    It seemed that the energy storage, which Hayato had decided to now call his Orb, was an organ that pumped the mixture of the hormones around his body, constantly nourishing it and supplying it with energy. Hayato was surprised by his discovery. His newfound organ seemed to have 10 pathways, 4 were currently being used. They were the pathways connected to his horns and his stomach.


    It seemed that the energy in his Orb was a mixture of the Hormones and the energy he got from his food. Hayato followed his other pathways and saw that there was a pathway to each of his limbs, a pathway to his heart and one to his brain. This discovery made Hayato surprised, he knew how he would get stronger in the future; He''d work on opening these pathways.


    Hayato slowly drifted off to sleep because he was unknowingly holding in a lot of stress about the fact he wasn''t stronger. The fact that the Nomu could beat him down so much had put a lot of mental strain on Hayato but this discovery of how he could get stronger had lifted this strain and the fatigue had flooded into Hayato and sent him off to sleep.


    Which was a good thing regardless of how early he had slept, he''d need the energy for school tomorrow.

    In the morning, Hayato woke up and looked around in a daze. When he saw the date and time, he felt shocked that he''d slept so much but also thankful.


    He did his morning routine and got dressed for school. He set off and met Izuku and they both got on the train. They soon arrived at U.A and got to class.


    When Hayato was sitting down with his head on the desk with his eyes closed, he felt a karate chop on the back of his neck. Hayato grunted and tilted his head to see who it was. Unsurprisingly, it was Kendo. "What do you want, Kendo?" Hayato''s voice was tired as he spoke. It was weird that he was so tired despite him sleeping so much yesterday but he didn''t care, he knew there was nothing wrong with his body and he was just trying to catch up on sleep from the past few days.


    "Did you watch the news yesterday? They were going on about all of us." Kendo didn''t explain why she hit him but seemed disappointed that it didn''t knock him out or something.


    "No, I slept most of yesterday." Hayato replied as he rolled his head back over so he could close his eyes, it felt like he was about to enter hibernation or something. Kendo seemed angry at Hayato''s lack of enthusiasm and sat down in her seat behind Hayato. Toga soon came in and sat next to Hayato, she kept poking him but Hayato would react; He was incredibly low on energy.


    Seeing that Hayato wasn''t going to be talking, Toga turned to the annoyed Kendo and asked her about who would be their teacher today and before Kendo could answer, the classroom door slid open.


    In came the mummified Aizawa-sensei. He shuffled his way into the classroom "Morning class." His usual worn out voice came out quite muffled when he spoke through all the bandages on his face. Luckily, he didn''t have any bandages covering his eyes.


    To show that he was listening, Hayato propped his head up onto one of his hands while leaning his elbow onto the table. "My wellbeing is irrelevant. What''s more important is that your fight isn''t over." At Aizawa-sensei''s serious tone, everyone perked up and looked at him with solemn expressions. The majority of the class started murmuring about how they might have to fight Villains again.


    "The U.A Sports Festival is about to start." Aizawa-sensei''s deadpan tone put everyone''s worrying to bed but everyone still yelled: "WHY WOULD YOU SCARE US LIKE THAT?!".


    After that little episode of class anger, everyone started getting excited by the thought of the Sports Festival being near.


    The U.A Sports Festival was pretty much the Quirk Olympics and everyone watched it, it was a brilliant chance to get noticed and possibly scouted by a top class Heroes, seeing as they always tuned in to watch it as it always brought the best out of students and showed off their potential.


    "As you all say, if you want to go pro, this is the tournament you want to show off in and show others what you''ve got to become a pro. This event could open a path for you, that''s why it matters so much. One chance a year, 3 chances in a lifetime. No aspiring hero can afford to miss this festival." As he spoke, Aizawa-sensei seemed to instill passion into every student in the classroom as they all had fire in their eyes. Even the incredibly tired Hayato had a blazing inferno going off in his eyes.


    How could he give up such a good chance to show off what it is that he has to become a hero?


    Before everything could get hectic, Aizawa-sensei spoke again. "And that means that you better not slack off on your training!" he dropped his usual worn out voice and spoke with a strong and stern voice to make sure everyone got the message.


    And they did, as they yelled in unison "YES SIR!".


    Hayato let a smile spread on his tired face, this festival was gonna be interesting.

 Chapter 9 - Passing on the Baton~

    After Aizawa-sensei dismissed class, they all had to sit down and do their normal academic lessons. This was usually quite easy to do but after the news of the U.A Sports Festival, everyone seemed like he or she were hyperactive or something. Even the lethargic Hayato was full of energy and excited by the end of the lesson.


    After the lesson, everyone was speaking about the Sports Festival. "Tagami, you''ll probably do pretty well in the festival, you have a quirk that can help you in so many ways!" Kendo spoke with an envious look in her eye. Hayato looked at her with a questioning glance "What do you mean? You can do the same things I can but with your arms. You''re plenty powerful and versatile." Hayato answered her with a bright smile on his face, as he tried to reassure her.


    Kendo heard what Hayato said and her discontented look dissipated quite a bit but she knew she had a while to go before she could be compared to Hayato. Just thinking about how strong he was in the fight against the Nomu made her feel like he was already a hero.


    Hayato could see that she was still discontent, even after his reassuring words but he couldn''t do anything further, other than be there for her. "Well, Kendo, if you ever want to train with me, just message me, you have my number." Hayato spoke with a gentle voice and winked at Kendo teasingly.


    Seeing him wink at her, Kendo went a little red and turned her head away from him. As if to her rescue, Toga came out of nowhere and started talking to her.


    Hayato didn''t butt in and decided to go over to Izuku. When he got there, Uraraka was speaking.


    "I''m gonna do my best and win this festival!" Uraraka''s usual laid-back voice was full of passion and fervor. Hayato was a bit at a loss when he got near Izuku and saw her doing this. He understood that she was probably excited but, she was really going for it with her yelling.


    To her yell, everyone near Hayato and Izuku lifted their hands up, while Hayato barely lifted his hand up, and cheered her on.


    She turned to another group and did the same thing but they had the same reaction as Hayato; They were just wondering what was going on with her.


    After she said it a few more times, Uraraka seemed to calm down and she, Izuku, Iida, and Hayato went to go get some lunch. On the way, Izuku asked her why he wanted to be a hero. Hearing his question, Uraraka got quite embarrassed.


    She answered in the end after Izuku and Hayato kept bugging her for her reason. But her reason shocked Izuku quite a bit.


    "For the money?! You want to become a Hero to get rich?" Izuku''s voice cracked as he spoke, he was incredibly surprised by Uraraka''s answer. Hearing him speak, she kept rapidly scratching the back of her head in an embarrassed and nervous manner.


    "I''m sorry if it sounds greedy!..." Uraraka waved her hand in front of her face as she spoke in a rapid way, probably because of embarrassment. "You three have such noble reasons for wanting to become heroes...Wait, Tagami-kun, what''s your reason?" Uraraka''s sentence started off rushed and spoken in an anxious voice but it soon changed to a slow, questioning voice as she looked at Hayato.


    "I was gonna say, I haven''t told you my reason yet." Hayato laughed as he smiled teasingly at Uraraka. Hayato looked at Izuku and spoke "When we were kids, I got my quirk and along with my strong body, I was already the strongest kid in the area. But Izuku was a late bloomer, he didn''t awaken his quirk until a long time later and for that, he was rigorously bullied." Izuku looked at Hayato with a wry smile and Hayato put his hand on Izuku''s shoulder as he looked at Uraraka.


    "At that point, I realized an unfair truth; Everyone''s born differently. Some are weaker, some are more powerful. It''s my personal belief that those with power should look after those who are weaker than themselves. That''s why I fought that Nomu, it''s why I put myself in front of that Giant Robot in the entrance exam." Hayato''s face had a bright and big smile plastered over it "That''s why I want to be a hero. I want to be someone who fights for the little guy, you know? Nothing more, nothing less. It''s why I and Izuku are such good friends!" Hayato at this moment, with his boisterous voice and bright smile, seemed to exude an aura of heroism.


    He seemed just like All Might.


    Uraraka, Izuku, and Iida looked at Hayato with admiration in their eyes because they could feel that Hayato was being sincere; that really was the reason why.


    "Wow...now I seem like a really greedy person...Please don''t think less of me for it!" Uraraka pleaded as she put her hands on her face in shame. Iida stepped forward "Nonsense, you wish to support your wellbeing, it''s as admirable as any reason to become a hero!" Iida spoke with passion and enthusiasm as he tried to reassure Uraraka.


    "Well...you see, my family own a construction but we haven''t got any work lately so...we''re flat broke..." Uraraka spoke in a downtrodden voice as she fidgeted about with her hair.


    "Ah! If she used her quirk she could bring down costs, quite a lot!" Izuku spoke in an animated voice as he figured out what she meant. Iida quickly spoke up in agreement "Yeah, and she could float everything, so the company could sell all their heavy lifting equipment!" at what both of them said, Hayato nodded his head in agreement.


    Uraraka spoke in an energetic voice as she heard how they understood what she meant "I know, right?! I''ve been telling my dad that since I was a kid, but..." her voice slowly lost it''s liveliness as she explained how her Dad would rather have her follow her own dreams instead of slaving away at the construction company just for him and her mother.


    Hayato saw her clench her fist tightly as she spoke with determination. "I''m going to become a pro. I''ll sign with a good agency and make plenty of money. Then my parents can live however they want!" Uraraka looked up at the trio of boys with her and they saw the determination and resolve in her eyes.


    Iida started clapping in a very over the top way as Izuku stood there, shocked at how determined she was. Hayato, however, went up to her and put his arm around her shoulder as he looked off into the distance. "You''re just like me, always fighting for the people who need it!" He didn''t realize he was being overly-friendly but Uraraka didn''t mind and laughed at how silly Hayato looked, doing what he was.


    "Ha HAHAHAHAHA!" They all heard a booming laugh from behind them and all turned to see whom it came from.


    All Might was running towards them as he shouted "Young Midoriya, is here!" he said this as he pointed at Izuku. He looked around the group and saw Hayato. "And Young Tagami is also here!" he was now pointing at both of them while smiling like some kind of idiot.


    "What are you doing here, old man?" Seeing All Might''s antics, Hayato asked him with a deadpan expression. The others seemed surprised that he spoke to All Might like that, but the man himself didn''t mind as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a bento box "Lunch..do you two want to eat with me?"


    Hayato shrugged his shoulder and said goodbye to Iida and Uraraka, as he and Izuku walked over to All Might. "You better have enough food..." was all Hayato said to All Might as he was walking over.The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.


    When they were in the teachers'' lounge, All Might went from his Muscle form to his skinny, haggard looking form. He then broke the news to Izuku and Hayato.


    "Wait, what? You can only stay in your Hero mode for 50 minutes!?" Izuku''s voice was filled with regret and despair. "Yeah...that''s about as long as I can use my power now." All Might seemed quite nonchalant about what he was saying but he did sound quite worn out as well as if him losing his ability to use his power was slowly grinding away his optimism.


    "I overdid it too many times. As you might understand, Tagami, that Nomu was one hell of an opponent." Hearing what All Might said, Hayato nodded his head with a grave expression as he remembered that fight and how he was almost completely destroyed by the Nomu.


    Izuku looked incredibly solemn when he said "I''m...I''m so sorry All Might, I should have--" He did sound solemn anyway until All Might started laughing as he was spitting out blood. Izuku and Hayato looked at All Might with shocked and confused faces. Hayato mainly wanted to figure out how a man could throw up blood and laugh at the same time; It kinda seemed like an okay party trick.


    As he stopped laughing and bleeding, he spoke "You don''t need to apologize for anything! Man...we really are similar. Here, you two, have some tea." He passed Izuku and Hayato some tea as he carried on speaking.


    "I brought you both here to talk about the festival." All Might put on a serious face when he spoke about this.


    He looked at Izuku "Midoriya, your problem is that you can''t control your power yet." he turned his head to Hayato "Tagami, you have the same problem, you usually go for your max power straight away. You need to learn how to tone it down a bit." All Might learned forward as he carried on "So, what are you both planning to do?"


    Hayato was eating, so he nodded towards Izuku so he''d go first. He explained that he was gonna try imagining that he was gonna hit someone, to see if he subconsciously put the limit on his power so he doesn''t kill someone.


    When he heard this, All Might said that he should do this and some more physical training to get ready.


    By this time, Hayato had finished most of the food, so he drank the tea and spoke to All Might about his training plans.


    "Well, after that fight with the Nomu, and another horn appearing out of my head, I feel like the control of my body and its strength is increasing by leaps and bounds. After 2 weeks of intense training, I should start to get my power under wraps." All Might seemed interested in Hayato''s increase in control after he got 5 horns but decided to leave it for another day.


    After this, All Might spoke some more to Izuku about how he was coming to his end as the Symbol of Peace and that''s why he picked Izuku; so he could become the next Symbol of Peace.


    "Do you still want to be a hero, like you said before, Midoriya?"


    "Yes!" Izuku answered All Might''s question with resolve burning in his eyes.


    Seeing this, All Might nodded his head, satisfied with Izuku''s answer. He carried on speaking after nodding "Excellent. Now, it''s time for you to prove it. This Sports Festival, it''s something that the pro''s, no, the entire country will be watching very closely. Both of you, I see the both of you as personal students of mine." Hayato was caught off guard by what All Might said, he always thought that All Might saw Izuku as his only personal student.


    All Might carried on with his speech "I want you both to think of this Sports Festival as your debut. You''re both fledgling Symbols of Peace, the next All Mights!" All Might''s passion and fervor put out an invisible pressure that threatened to crush both Hayato and Izuku.


    "Midoriya Izuku, Tagami Hayato, I want you to introduce yourselves to the world" All Might''s tone of voice went beyond his usual levels of boisterous as he carried on speaking "And proudly say ''I AM HERE'' !"


    Silence pervaded the room after All Might spoke.


    Hayato was shocked that All Might held him that close to his heart, at the same level as the successor of his quirk, One for All. Izuku was shocked for other reason, like how he didn''t think he was ready for that yet and how he was nervous about All Might throwing all this responsibility onto him.


    "You both know how the Sports Festival is set up, right?" All Might spoke after a sigh, as he looked at the two shocked teenagers.


    Izuku quickly responded to the question "Students are separated by class year and then the Support, Management, General and Hero classes are all thrown into one big tournament and fight against each other in a bunch of preliminary trials, whoever makes it through the initial games will face off against each other in the finals." As Izuku exited his information reciting mode, All Might pointed at him and Hayato and spoke.


    "Right! Then you''ll have plenty of time to sell yourselves as the next big heroes!"


    Hayato nodded his head with a resolute expression, while Izuku meekly nodded.


    "Some heroes always aim for the top, while some are content with staying where they are." All Might looked both of them in the eye as he carried on "The difference between those mindsets has a big difference on how far you go in the real world as a hero."


    After this, Hayato and Izuku left to go back to class. Both of them were distracted all the way through the lesson, Hayato was even called by the teacher Midnight twice but he didn''t answer as he was too far into his own world.


    After the lesson, Hayato opened the classroom door and saw a crowd of people.


    Most of the people flinched backward seeing Hayato''s 6"5 tall, muscular figure. His horns and sharp red eyes didn''t help either. If anyone looked like a Demon King, it would be Hayato, even though those who were close to him knew that he was a pretty nice guy.


    These people at the door didn''t know him though, so they saw him as some kind of fledgling villain. Others noticed him as the one who fought the smaller Nomu and that''s why they flinched. But they also remembered that he did it to protect his classmates.


    "I''m gonna be frank with you all. I''m not gonna hold back in the Sports Festival." Hayato''s mild voice quietened the students as they all looked at him with angry expressions.


    "Calm down. I don''t mean that I''m doing it to make you guys feel weak or to prove that I''m better. I''m going to be doing it because I''m gonna be treating you all as my equals. So get as strong as you can in two weeks!" Hayato''s mild voice was replaced with a wild fervor as he thought about battling new kinds of quirks. It would all make him stronger and in the end, that''s what Hayato wanted; To be stronger and be able to protect more people.


    The crowd realized that they''d judged Hayato wrongly and their angry expressions disappeared.


    "Well, seems like class 1-A has at least one sensible student." a tired voice, similar to Aizawa-sensei''s, came from the back of the crowd. The crowd parted slightly and out came a tall boy with purple hair and purple eyes. He had black circles around his eyes, most likely from a lack of sleep.


    "What''s your name, big guy? I''m Shinso Hitoshi." He looked up at Hayato''s face and saw the blood red eyes staring right back at him.


    "I know who you are, Shinso-san. I''m Tagami Hayato, it''s good to meet you." Hayato put his hand out to shake Shinso''s hand. Shinso accepted the handshake as he spoke again.


    "If you know who I am, why did you answer me?" Shinso spoke with an expression that was a mix of disdain and amusement.


    "Because why would you use your quirk on me now? I know you''re not a bad guy, so I won''t judge you based on your quirk." Hayato calmly smiled at Shinso. Shinso seemed taken aback by Hayato''s answer because it was the first time anyone had ever said anything like that to him.


    "Hmm. I''ll take you up on that full powered fight, later on, see ya." Saying that Shinso turned around and walked off.


    ''See, I knew he wasn''t such a bad guy. Just gotta remember to not answer his questions during the festival.''


    Everyone in class 1-A looked at Hayato in a new light, they thought he only knew how to fight but he''d proven to be quite socially intelligent just now. They had a higher image of him in their minds now.


    Hayato went to walk out when he felt someone latch onto him.


    "Tagami~ Train with me~" Hayato heard Toga''s sweet, pleading voice as his eye started twitching. Before he could answer, he heard a loud huff of displeasure as he felt someone trying to drag Toga off of his back, someone who would be his hero. "Toga! Get off of Tagami''s back! I won''t allow anyone else on his back but me!" Kendo''s voice seethed with irritation as she ripped Toga off of Hayato''s bag with her massive hands.


    ''Oi. Who said you could go on my back, huh?''


    Was all Hayato could think as he looked at Kendo scolding the teary-eyed Toga.


    ''Training is gonna be hard to do, isn''t it?''


    After saying this he ran away after jumping over the crowd outside the door. He ignored the yelling from Kendo and Toga near the door as he ran.

 Chapter 10 - Training and More than just a Muscle Head~

    Hayato spent the rest of the day in a daydream as he thought about how he was going to train in the next 2 weeks.


    What he said to All Might was true, he had been feeling more and more in control of his body but weirdly it was only control over his muscles, bones, and blood. Hayato attributed this to the hormones specializing in improving these areas while the rest of the body was nourished a smaller amount.


    Hayato went home on his own after school, telling the others he had to think about something. He couldn''t figure out how far his control would grow, no matter how much he thought.


    When he got home he went down to the training room and sat on a mat with his eyes closed. He focused on his muscles, he could control them like he usually could but now he could even use them like wires of muscle. He whipped a muscle strand around the room at a blistering speed, splitting the air wherever it went.


    Hayato was shocked by this level of control. He decided to test out how far he could take it.


    He commanded the muscle to wrap around a lightweight. It was around 80kg. The weight wouldn''t budge so Hayato sent more muscle wires to wrap around the weight. After summoning the 5 muscle whip and wrapping it around the weight, the weight was lifted but Hayato''s head had a splitting pain going through it.


    He dropped the weight and retracted all of the muscles back into his body. Opening his eyes he was shocked to find that he was bleeding out of his nose and his eyes felt incredibly sore. When he went over to a mirror, he saw that he''d popped a blood vessel in both of his eyes.


    In a hurried manner, Hayato led the R hormone there to heal the broken blood vessels. Soon the vessel was mended but the soreness still pervaded his eyes.


    He picked up a towel and wiped the blood off of his nostrils and thought about what caused this.


    ''I must have pushed my concentration a bit far and pressured my head or something. I''ll have to test the waters a bit further.''


    Hayato''s head still hurt a little bit but he decided to get in a little work out before getting something to eat.


    Hayato walked up to the bench press and lay on the bench. He looked to his left at a screen, it had three options. They were: Mother, Father, and Son. Hayato clicked on the Son option and saw the number 5000kg appear. He put his hands on the bar and the bar was set free from the locks keeping it in place.


    Hayato felt a slight pressure on his arms, shoulders, and chest but nothing compared to how it usually is. Hayato found this weird but he knew that after his 5th horn appeared, his weight bearing ability and strength had increased quite a lot.


    He did a few sets of this and then a few squat sets on a different machine with heavier weights.


    Hayato worked out that his strength had increased by about 60% after his new horn appeared. Hayato put the weights down and took his sweaty top off and wiped the sweat off of his body with a towel near him. He stood there and wondered how he should go about his training.


    He didn''t exactly know at the moment but he had a vague idea, so he decided to think about it tomorrow and went upstairs to get something to eat.


    The rest of his day was spent in his room listening to music or talking to his mom about his horns. From his mom''s experience, she never grew any horns, and the hormone that came out of her horn increased the body''s strength equally.


    After this conversation, Hayato went to bed.


    In the morning he woke up an hour before he had school, so he just lay in bed. Lying in bed was proving to be boring to an energetic muscle head like Hayato, so he tried to test something. He focused on his blood, his heart, the blood vessels. He felt the beating and tried to control it.


    It was hard at first but slowly, his heartbeat starting beating faster. Hayato willed his blood vessels to expand and for his blood to go faster. And surprisingly they complied.


    5 days later~


    After discovering his uncanny control over his body, Hayato had been practicing with it every day when he wasn''t doing combat training with his dad or doing intense weight training. So far he had developed a state where he sent his blood into a frenzy which would improve his strength, sort of like an adrenaline rush. Using it would take away his energy quicker, however.


    He''d also found that he could control his bones to a small amount. Mainly strengthening them to take impacts better and be more durable overall. He''d added these to his Muscle Form, which Hayato now called his Battle Form.


    All this added together increased his power in his muscle form from 10x his base form to 15x his base form.


    And the improvements were still happening. Sadly Hayato could figure out a way to use more than 5 muscle wires but he can now make the muscle wires bigger so they can handle heavier loads. Hayato didn''t mind not being able to improve on this as he was mainly a close combat fighter and the muscle wires would work better at long range as capture weapons, hence why they wouldn''t suit his fighting style.


    Hayato also had to go to the Quirk Registration Center to update his quirk information. It was a big hassle for him. Hours and hours of paperwork didn''t suit Hayato''s "fight eat train" kind of brain.


    Right now he was talking to All Might about his Quirks advancement in his body''s control.


    "So, you''re saying that you''re gaining more control over not just your muscles, as usual, but your blood and bones as well?" All Might looked questioningly at Hayato, while Hayato nodded at his question. All Might suddenly stood up and entered his muscle form while he put a hand on Hayato''s shoulder "AHAHAHA!     Hayato was running on a specialized treadmill. He had hyper-compressed weights on his wrist and ankles. Each weight weighed 400kg, so altogether he was running with an extra 1600kg on his body, which was the equivalent of running with a car on his back. The more shocking thing was that he was running like they didn''t weigh anything at all.


    After a quick run on the treadmill, Hayato got off of it and started to wipe off his body. Unknowingly, two pairs of eyes were watching him with red faces.


    Those two pairs of eyes could be no one but Toga and Kendo. Most women and girls wouldn''t blame them for staring either, because of his quirk Hayato had a perfect body. His muscles were perfectly proportioned and didn''t look too bulky nor too lean/thin.


    Soon, Hayato noticed the pairs of eyes and covered his body with his arms "What are you two doing here?! Perverts! Help, there are perverts in my house!" Hayato mocked them by yelling like a maiden who was being attacked by some bandits.


    Kendo walked up to him with a red face and made her hand bigger and slapped at him. Hayato grabbed her hand and let out a "Kyaah!" sound like a girl and pushed her hand back while he walked over to pick up a shirt from where he usually left them before he started working out.


    Putting the top on seemed to ease Toga and Kendo''s red faces but Toga refused to look him in the eyes and Kendo would only glare at him.

    After lamenting about his unfair situation, Hayato asked them what they were doing here. They had apparently come over to see if Hayato could help them with their combat training. To this proposal, Hayato agreed. He told them that they''d start now and do a bit more tomorrow before resting and going over what they learned over the two days of fighting.


    Hayato also wanted to try some new stuff out. His control over his energy had improved by leaps and bounds over the past week and he wanted to see if he could do anything else other than fueling the creation of the hormones and it fueling his body''s high metabolism.


    They went to the fighting room, which was accessible through a door in the Weights room.


    Hayato told Kendo to sit down and Toga to stand opposite him. Toga took out some vials and drank them to activate her Blood Empowerment. Hayato stood still and motioned for Toga to come at him.


    She ran at him and swept her left leg towards his stomach. Hayato stepped back slightly and the kick sailed past his stomach, he countered with a light jab at Toga''s exposed ribs.     Hayato pressed forward and appeared in front of her. It was like he teleported but it was, in fact, a technique he''d developed.


    He found out that if he used his body control, he could focus all of his strength onto his feet and explode forward with blinding speed. It could also be used to dodge but his expert body control would probably let him dodge attacks without moving as long as they''re below a certain level of power.


    In front of the shocked Toga, Hayato started doing basic combos of punches, pushing her to her limits to either dodge or block them. After about 10 minutes of this, Toga was completely worn out by the fight but towards the end, she was showing massive amounts of improvement in her fighting technique.


    Next was Kendo and it was mostly the same; Hayato being untouchable and pushing her to her limits.


    Time went on like this, with Hayato mentoring them on how to strike better, how to dodge better and how to use their energy better. It also counted as training for him as he had to control the power he used in each of his punches to avoid seriously hurting either of them.


    2 days later, Morning~


    Hayato woke up and shot out of his bed, he dressed incredibly quickly. He shoveled compressed food pellets into his mouth because of one reason. He was late for the sports festival.


    He said goodbye to his mom, who scolded him saying she tried to wake him tens of times earlier but he wouldn''t wake. He knew it was because of his training but he didn''t tell her, so he could avoid a lecture off of her.


    He activated his Battle Form and ran to school, he''d have to wait too long for the train and he could make it in time with his speed anyway. Right now, Hayato didn''t care for the laws against using your quirk in public, not like anyone would be able to catch him either.


    He arrived at the school and deactivated his Battle Form and walked in past the media. When walking he heard all kinds of whispering.


    "Hey, isn''t he the kid who beat one of those strong villains at the US? Wow, do you think he''d answer our questions?"


    "Woah, he''s massive, I can''t believe he''s a teenager!"


    "He looks kinda scary, especially those sharp eyes of his..."


    Hayato ignored the people speaking, especially the last one and carried on walking. When he got inside he went to the PE changing room and got into his PE uniform. He went to meet the others in class 1-A.


    When he got there they all looked relieved at his appearance, they thought he was gonna miss it.


    "Yo, Tagami, where were you, man?" Kirishima spoke as he threw a friendly punch at Hayato''s shoulder. Hayato smiled and explained to the others how he''d overslept because of training. The others looked at Hayato, who was scratching his head awkwardly with a wry smile on his face, with deadpan looks. A common thought through all of their heads was:


    ''He really is a muscle head...''


    After this, Hayato leaned against a table and waited for the time when they were gonna be called out to the arena. While he was waiting, Todoroki came up to him. She had a serious face as she looked at Hayato "I feel like you''re my only rival here in this class, no school." her words caused Katsuki to twitch like he was about to explode "So I''m going to beat you in this festival. It also helps that you''re so close to All Might, my father''s rival. We were destined to be rivals, Tagami-kun."


    Hayato just looked at her and smiled as he nodded his head. If she wanted a fight, Hayato would give her one.


    Todoroki turned around and walked away as the rest of the class looked at her with less than friendly expressions.


    Soon after they had to enter the arena. When they were entering Present Mic yelled as he introduced them "Here they come, the Villain fighters from the 1st year, CLASS 1-A!" as he finished his introduction, the crowd screamed and roared their support.


    Hayato showed off his confidence and waved at the people in the arena. Even if he did look slightly scary, he was still a handsome boy, his scary looks just added a wild aura to his handsomeness.


    The crowd seemed enthralled by Hayato as he really did stand out in 1-A.


    Present Mic introduced class 1-B, who surprisingly had Mineta in it, then he introduced the General Classes, Support Classes, and Managment Classes.


    All of them walked over to where the teacher telling the events would be. Hayato''s eyes nearly burst out of his skull when he saw their years teacher. It was Midnight and she was incredibly beautiful, especially in her hero costume that didn''t seem entirely appropriate for someone who teaches 15 and 16 year olds.


    Everyone was murmuring about how she should change clothes, while Hayato and Mineta were the only ones who seemed to think she was dressed perfectly.


    "Silence everyone!" Midnight spoke to the 1st years as she brandished her whip. Everyone soon shut up and let her carry on talking "Now, for the student pledge, we have Tagami Hayato!"


    Hayato wanted to get it over and done with so he walked up to the stand and stood in front of the mic and the seductive teacher. When he was about to talk, Midnight winked at him and his confident face broke and he nearly had a nosebleed.


    "A-ahem...I just want to say that I hope everyone tries their best in the festival because I know I''m going to go beyond my limits to win this thing." Hayato''s voice started off a bit stuttery because of what Midnight did but as he carried on speaking he became more and more confident and passionate. Every one of the 1st years felt pumped up after hearing what he said.


    Hayato walked down from the stand and back over to his class.


    "Without further ado, let''s get started!" Midnight yelled into the might with a beautiful smile on her face. "The first fateful game of the festival, what could it be?" Everyone felt the tension rising as a screen behind Midnight had a spinning slot machine on it, presumably picking what game the classes would be in first.


    After a while, the screen abruptly stopped spinning and showed the classes what they''d be doing.


    It had Obstacle Course written across it and Midnight yelled "TA-DA!" as she spread her arms like a saleswoman trying to market something. "All classes will compete in this race. The course is 4km long and is along the outside of the stadium we''re in right now! And as long as you don''t leave the course you''re free to do whatever your heart desires!" as Midnight finished speaking the crowd in the arena started roaring and cheering again.


    "Now, students, take your places!"


    All the students went over to the gate and got ready to start the race and Hayato was no different. He was incredibly excited to do this and of course, he was aiming for first place.

 Chapter 11 - The Obstacle Course and Changes~

    Hayato looked at the green lights as they started flashing down.


    1 light gone.


    2 lights gone.


    3 lights gone.


    "BEGIN!"


    Everyone started running towards the tunnel. Using his superior physique, Hayato pushed his way to the front on the pack and started to speed up.

    As he was walking, he heard a sound of a quirk activating and suddenly his feet and legs were covered in ice. He saw Todoroki run past him with a smile on her face. He didn''t like that smile, it lit his competitive spirit up.


    Activating his quirk, he quickly enhanced everything he could. He lifted his foot upwards and slammed it down into the ground with enough force to shatter all the ice surrounding him. Todoroki looked at Hayato in shock, she was sure she froze his legs hard enough to keep him in place for a while.


    Seeing her shocked face made Hayato strangely happy. He shook off that weird happiness and pointed his hands in the direction of the exit and sent two muscle fiber wires into the walls, they went into the concrete and secured themselves in it.


    With a pull, Hayato shot towards the exit. He learned this technique when he was messing around in the Urban Battle City on campus, it was a quick way to get around and took away his weakness of being nearly helpless in the air.


    He went past the running Todoroki with a smirk on his face. He didn''t know if she saw it but he did see that she wasn''t very happy.


    She seemed to have decided to use an ice construct to push her forward to catch up to Hayato. She did end up catching up to him when his momentum from the slingshot ran out. But he kept his pace, running at a slower than usual speed to conserve energy.


    Todoroki tried to freeze his legs to the ground every now and then but Hayato just dodged her attempts and sent a kick towards her trying to knock her off balance.


    Overall, it was very stimulating for the both of them. They both had competitive smiles on their faces as they carried on fighting.


    Others were starting to catch up because of their slow speed, attributed to their fighting. Before they knew it, Mineta, the midget with sticky purple balls for hair, was right behind them using his sticky balls to bounce towards them as he didn''t stick to his balls, they repulsed him instead.


    He was about to jump onto Todoroki''s back, and Hayato was planning to hit him into the ground, but a robot came out of nowhere and slammed him away.


    Todoroki and Hayato looked at the robot and saw that it was one of the robots from the entrance exam. It was massive, even compared to Hayato, and it''s green colored metal plating looked quite strong.


    It was right in front of Izuku, as Izuku also came to the realization that they were the robots from the entrance exam.


    Present Mic''s booming voice was heard by the students and the spectators as he started commentating about everything "Oooo! Enemies have shown up out of nowhere! We''re in for a show now!" just as he said this, everyone saw the gigantic, building-sized robots from the exam in front of them.


    The other robots were bigger than people but smaller than a house but these ''0-point'' Robots were absolutely massive.


    "It''s a robot INFERNO!" was all Present Mic had to say when the cameras showed the giant robots.


    Hayato and Todoroki stopped their fighting and stood where they were, staring up at the giant robots, the people behind them did the same thing but they were all panicking, while Hayato was confidently smirking while looking at them and Todoroki had an indifferent face while she looked at them.


    Hayato heard Todoroki speak "So, this is what other students faced in their entrance exams?" she looked at Hayato and he nodded to her question. Getting her answer, she stepped forward and activated her quirk. Quickly Ice surrounded Todoroki as she carried on speaking "Clearly, they''ve gone through a lot of trouble, but I wish they''d prepared something a little more difficult." her voice was cold and indifferent to the giant robot throwing a punch to their direction.


    Spikes of ice protruded from the ground as Hayato heard her whisper "Especially seeing as my dear old dad is watching..." Hayato was aware of the enmity between Todoroki and her dad, so he wasn''t too surprised to hear her say that.


    As the hand got closer, she brought her hand back and threw it upwards with her palm facing outwards. Following her command, the ice spikes grew and grew and blasted out of the ground and into the robots massive hand, freezing it. But she didn''t stop there, she kept throwing more and more ice into her attack, completely freezing the robot and stopping it from moving.


    Hayato was shocked by her power as she blew out a breath of cold air, which was visible because of how cold it actually was.


    As she pushed some hair behind her ear and tightened her ponytail, Hayato was slightly enthralled by her beauty, he just couldn''t believe someone could show off that much power and still seem beautiful but right at that second, he''d been proven wrong.


    Before he knew it, Todoroki had left him in the dust as she propelled herself forward with ice, again.


    "And there goes Todoroki Shoka into the lead, with a devastating display!" Present Mic screamed in excitement at the power he just witnessed a first year produce.


    Everyone behind Hayato was cheering about how they could go through the legs when Todoroki''s cold voice sounded out in the distance. "Careful. I froze them when they were off balance" the robot started falling towards the massive group of students and unlike the anime, it wouldn''t just land on Kirishima and Tetsutetsu who could harden their bodies to survive, it would land on quite a few more people.


    Hayato shot backward to the group of people whom it would affect the most, when he got there he looked in Todoroki''s direction. "That wasn''t very heroic, Todoroki, that wasn''t very heroic at all." disappointment could be heard in Hayato''s voice and under that, anger could be heard. She''d put people in danger for her own advantage.


    Hayato entered his Battle Form and then entered [Oni Mode: x2]. With the thin suit of muscle surrounding his body and the crimson lightning arcing around his body, Hayato looked incredibly powerful. He looked back at the people behind him and spoke "Don''t worry, I''m gonna protect you all, okay?" Hayato spoke in a gentle and reassuring way to the people behind him and put on his best smile, they were all pretty terrified because a giant robot was about to drop on them.

    Hayato joked around mentally, but he was incredibly serious at the minute. "I''ve been meaning to have around 2 with one of you guys, so let''s get this party started, huh?" He gathered more and more until the robot wasn''t that far from the ground and then he shot off of the ground, sending cracks for tens of meters from where his feet were.


    He shot towards the chest of the robot and he brought his fist back. Present Mic spoke in admiration for Hayato and roared as he commentated for the crowd.


    Many heroes in the crowd nodded their head looking at this act of protecting those in need.


    As Hayato''s fist hit the robot, a massive boom went off, sending massive waves of air pressure to those on the ground. The robot that got hit had its chest caved in and flew backward into the robot behind it with a massive explosion.


    Shockingly, the two robots still went backward from the force sent into the first robot and even hit a third robot sending all 3 of them back before they finally exploded. Everyone was in awe at the power Hayato had just shown off, he landed at an amazing speed as he bent his knees and put his hands on the ground to diffuse the force of his impact.


    Still, a small crater formed around him. In the arena, the crowd watching was silent before they erupted in roars of cheering and praise for Hayato.


    Hayato stood up with steam coming off of his body, most likely because of the power his body just went under the strain of. He looked at the people he protected and smiled at them before shooting off towards Todoroki who was quite far in front.


    By now she had got to the tightrope crossing and with his speed, Hayato wasn''t far from it. Following close behind Hayato was Iida with his quirk "Engine" which gave him superhuman speed and Katsuki''s with his quirk "Explosion" which he used to propel himself through the air.


    Before them were a few more robots but Hayato easily destroyed them with a kick or a punch; they were nothing compared to the 0-point robots.


    Hayato focused most of his energy onto his legs and the muscles that helped him run, he also made his blood circulation speed up. Doing this, he experienced a sudden increase in strength and speed and he soon shot ahead of the rest.


    He soon saw Todoroki in front of him and he saw her using her ice to slide over the tight-ropes between the rocks in the canyon.


    As he looked at it, Hayato saw that he could just jump between the rocks quite quickly but he''d still be behind Todoroki if he did that, so he pushed as much energy into his legs and enhanced them as much as he could.


    The result was an incredible increase in speed. And when he got to the edge of the canyon, he jumped with all his strength and found that he had an incredible jumping ability, just like he expected.


    He jumped from rock to rock, pulling himself in with his muscle fiber wires. Soon, he''d completed the obstacle and was close behind Todoroki.


    "If you found those two obstacles hard, how about you look at the next one!" Present Mic''s voice boomed through the speakers yet again and explained the next obstacle "The next obstacle is a minefield! These mines don''t hurt that much but they should stop anyone in their tracks long enough to slow them down and make them lose their chances of winning! So, step with caution!" it seemed like he couldn''t help himself from always being a jokester but Hayato didn''t mind, he just ignored him.


    Todoroki slowed down a bit when she knew there were mines there, so Hayato caught up to her and confronted her. "Why did you put those people in danger, Todoroki? That was incredibly idiotic." Hayato''s voice was full of confrontation as he looked at her.


    "Well, it''s their fault for being weak, why should I have to babysit them?" Todoroki spoke in an indifferent voice but Hayato could hear the disdain in her voice when she talked about those weaker than her. Hayato was aghast when he heard what she said. "Because you want to be a hero! Heroes protect those who can''t protect themselves and you just put people in danger, so shouldn''t you want to protect them? You could''ve gotten those people killed!"


    Todoroki seemed a bit affected by what Hayato said, like some part of her agreed with what he said but another, bigger, part didn''t agree.


    She just ignored him after that, no matter what Hayato said, she ignored him or she answered with short, uncaring answers. Before long, they''d both gotten over half way for the minefield and then Katsuki came out of nowhere tried to blow them both up.


    Hayato moved his torso out of the way and Todoroki dodged out of the way, fortunately not hitting any mines.


    Hayato sent a punch towards Katsuki''s gut but he dodged it with an explosion, which changed his direction mid-air. He sent an explosion to both Hayato''s and Todoroki''s face. Todoroki dodged again and froze Katsuki''s arm, while Hayato dodged as well but instead of attacking Katsuki, Hayato sent a punch towards Todoroki.


    This carried on for a while, pushing Hayato''s concentration to the very limits. He had to focus on both Katsuki and Todoroki and dodge their attacks while also watching where he put his feet so he didn''t set off a mine.


    Suddenly a massive explosion went off and shocked Hayato because he thought he''d stepped on a mine. Luckily he hadn''t and it was actually something behind him. All three of them looked behind themselves and saw a massive explosion that reached to the sky, suddenly someone came out of it, shocking Katsuki and Todoroki, while Hayato just smiled.


    "What the hell just happened? Well, on any account, class 1-A''s Midoriya Izuku is in hot pursuit to the lead of this race!" Present Mic told everyone who it was, surprising most. Hayato could only imagine how happy All Might was hearing that Izuku was catching up.


    "Strike that, the lead is his!!!" Present Mic screamed as Izuku passed all three of them.


    Katsuki forgot about the other two and shot off with a massive explosion, while Todoroki made an ice path and propelled herself with an ice construct. The ice seemed to stop the mines from exploding.


    Hayato sighed when he saw this.

    "Hyper Focus." was all Hayato whispered and nothing seemed to change from the outside but from Hayato''s perspective, everything had changed. His senses had been enhanced greatly and so had his reaction time, so right now he could easily see where the mines were. The only downside was that Hayato wasn''t used to the power and it drained a lot of his energy.


    He got this ability at the end of the 2 weeks of training. He found that he could open up one of the pathways to his energy storage in his diaphragm and after a lot of thought, he opened the brain one, to see if he could cover for one of his weak points; Reaction time.


    And it did.


    Not only does it nourish his innate reaction time to be better, it also nourished his senses to be sharper and be much keener. It also gave him the mode he was using now if he wanted an extra boost.


    Anyway, Hayato enhanced his legs once again and ran after the three of them. He was incredibly quick and caught up to them without even touching a single mine.


    But he was starting to develop a splitting headache because of the amount of input going into his brain through his senses and nerves. By the time he got to Katsuki and Todoroki, Izuku had pushed himself forward off of the two of them and was running with everything he had and was quite far in front of them all.


    Hayato, seeing this, couldn''t help but have a feral grin on his face; he loved a challenge.


    He pushed himself further, ignoring the blood coming out of his nose and charged past the two who were just getting off of the floor. Izuku and he were in the tunnel now and they were already coming to the end because of there speed.


    "Eraser head, what have you been teaching your students? They''re amazing!" Present Mic screamed as he saw what Izuku did and how Hayato was charging towards him like a mad bull.


    Aizawa-sensei''s muffled voice rang throughout the stadium "This had nothing to do with me. Each of them is powered by their own drive to succeed." Aizawa-sensei seemed oddly proud as he said that. By now, Katsuki and Todoroki had started catching up to Izuku and Hayato.


    "There you have it, folks, Eraser head is a terrible teacher!" Present Mic declared with 100% certainty.


    Hayato, even with his strong body, was struggling to stand up so he exited the Hyper Focus mode and also his Battle Form and instantly felt better and more at ease.


    He was closing on Izuku still but the end of the tunnel was right in front of them, he didn''t know if he could make it.


    Inside the stadium, everyone was looking at the exit where the winner would come from with anticipation. "Who''s going to be the winner?! I just can''t wait!" Present Mic spoke for all the audience and teachers when he said that. All Might was on the edge of his seat, with his eyes locked on the exit.


    Surprisingly two figures came out of the exit, one tall and muscular and the other short and muscular. "IT''S A DRAW!!! TAGAMI HAYATO AND MIDORIYA IZUKU HAVE DRAWN FOR THE FIRST PLACE!!!" Present Mic screamed into his mic as the crowd went absolutely wild. All Might shot up and started laughing like a madman while in his Muscle Form.


    In an undisclosed place, Shigaraki, the leader of the League of Villains looked at the screen and saw Hayato''s face. "It''s that goddamn brat...!"


    Back in the arena, Hayato put his arm around Izuku''s shoulder and lifted his other arm into the air in celebration while letting out a roar of happiness and then he and Izuku looked at All Might and started laughing with him.


    Izuku was crying from joy, while Hayato just looked at the crowd with a beaming smile, full of confidence.


    Some people could just feel it; That these two would become heroes.

 Chapter 12 - Change of Events and Being Public Enemy #1~

    As Hayato and Izuku were celebrating, more and more people were coming through the exit. While this was happening Katsuki was sulking over Izuku winning over him again, he just couldn''t seem to get it into his head that Izuku wasn''t the useless Deku anymore.


    Iida came through the exit and seemed ashamed of himself, seeing he lost on an obstacle course do to with speed and his quirk is to do with speed.


    Uraraka came up to Izuku and congratulated him and Hayato on getting first place. Izuku went red and tried to cover his face with his arms, while Hayato just thanked her for her support, he then clipped Izuku round the back of his head with a light hit while telling him to say thank you.


    Izuku was speaking to Uraraka under Hayato''s ''subtle'' wingman advice and he was waiting for Toga and Kendo to stop staring at him.


    "Hellooo? Anyone in there?" Hayato was waving his hands in front of their faces, while they were mumbling stuff. "...People are going to know how good Hayato is now...what are we gonna do now, Kendo?" was what Toga whispered and Kendo whispered back "Seems we have to...advance our plans..."

    "Congratulations, Ha-ya-to~" Kendo spoke with the sweetest voice she could muster. Hayato felt like he ran the chance of getting diabetes from listening to her speaking like that. Hearing her calling his given name, Hayato felt his eye twitch. This was their plan, to rapidly get closer to him.


    "Thanks, Kendo--" Hayato replied in a tired voice but before he could carry on, Kendo morphed her arms into her bigger, enhanced ones and started shaking Hayato by his shoulder''s.


    "Call.Me.Itsuka." was all she spoke, on repeat, with a deadpan expression. Toga was fidgeting with her hands and rolling her feet on the same spot on the floor, while Kendo was doing this. She seemed to be saying something, Hayato lip read it as "Call me Himiko."


    ''What''s with this sudden advancement in our relationships?!''


    After a few more minutes of this, Hayato agreed to call them their given names. In truth he knew why they wanted him to do it, it was because they liked him and honestly, he liked them but he wanted to focus on his hero training, but Hayato figured if they start advancing on him, he wouldn''t stop it. What''s teenage life without a bit of love?


    The only problem was, which one would he pick. In the end, Hayato decided to try and find a loophole in the law on polygamy when he got back home later. Yeah, he''d surely do it.


    After this random outburst of teenage life, Hayato and the now happy, Itsuka and Himiko, walked over to the group of people in front of Midnight-sensei.


    "Now, the real fun begins. The chance to really move into the limelight!" Midnight-sensei spoke with a lot of passion, like All Might but this passion was slightly different and Hayato didn''t know whether he should call the police or not as he saw Midnight-sensei lick her lips while looking in his and Izuku''s direction.


    The screen showed the slot machine spinning again "Let''s see what we have in store for you next! Prepare yourself, for this--!" She pointed her whip up at the screen and the screen landed on something Hayato didn''t expect.


    The screen said "Hero Tag!".


    "Allow me to explain! Each person will be given 4 discs to put on their uniform and a special device that will endlessly make these balls for you." She showed the classes a red ball, probably the size of a baseball "The aim of the game is to hit the opponents discs and gain points by hitting their discs, each disc is worth 2 points and they can be hit as many times as possible."


    "Each of the balls will have a specific signal to the ball maker that makes them and each student will have a unique one. So when a ball hits a disc, the disc keeps the signal, allowing us to know which student hit it!"


    Everyone was muttering stuff. Some people were happy it was this because their quirk would help a lot. Some were nervous because their quirk didn''t seem to be able to help them. Hayato was the former, while Izuku was the latter.


    "But don''t get so happy yet. The discs must be in sight at all times, you can block a ball that''s thrown with your quirk but you can''t constantly cover the disc with your quirk. So those of you who thought of doing that, tough luck!~" Midnight-sensei seemed to enjoy how most of the people who were happy, were now downtrodden. Hayato really wanted to call All Might to get her off stage.


    "Oh, and each of you will be given a tracker map that you can wear on your wrist. Well, everyone other than Tagami Hayato and Midoriya Izuku because they''re the reason the tracker map is being given out!"


    Izuku seemed shocked, which made Midnight-sensei happy but she seemed disappointed that Hayato seemed to be excited by the challenge.


    "Because their discs are all worth 100 points! They will be constantly tracked and their position will be given out to all of you! So, farm as many points as you want!"


    Every one of the students started looking at Hayato and Izuku like thirsty people in a desert who''d just found a few bottles of water.


    Hayato looked over to Izuku who was worrying and mumbling about it all. Hayato knew this was because he was still pretty much quirkless, he wouldn''t be able to dodge most of the attacks thrown at him. That''s why Hayato decided to do some fun.


    He lazily put his hand in the air "Midnight-sensei, may I make a request?" Midnight sensei motioned for him to continue but she felt uneasy looking at him confident smile. "Can you just make it so I''m the one everyone will be focusing on and being tracked? It''ll be a lot more fun for everyone watching and well, it''ll be much more challenging and exciting for me!"


    Midnight-sensei seemed shocked by his request "Why would want to do that?" she spoke in astoundment as she looked at Hayato. "Well, I want everyone to come at me. Simple as that. I want a challenge and I want to see how far I can go. I want to find my limits and then pass them. Is that a good enough reason, Midnight-sensei?~" He spoke with confidence and a momentum that seemed unstoppable.The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.


    Midnight-sensei seemed to be mumbling about how Hayato was an interesting brat but nonetheless, she agreed to his request. Izuku looked at Hayato with both a thankful look on his face and a worried one. Hayato put his thumbs up to Izuku to show that he''d be fine and to stop him from worrying.


    Soon after all this, everyone got their 4 discs and Hayato had a tracker put in all of his. To make it slightly fairer, Hayato was allowed to enter the Urban battleground and set up wherever he wanted.


    Even if they knew where he was, if he picked a smart enough place, he''d be able to keep himself safe and defend against most of the people coming for him.


    Hayato put his 4 discs on his body, one on each of his arms and 2 on his chest.


    After he was happy with his placement of the discs, Hayato activated his quirk and sped off into the Urban City. It didn''t take long before he got there.


    He started to think about where he was going to hold off against everyone who was going to come for him. He knew for a fact that only the strong were going to come for him, the rumors about him fighting the Nomu would scare off any who were considered weak. So he wouldn''t have to deal with as many as people would think.


    He knew some people who could definitely give him a run for his money though and this is why he needed to prepare himself. But still, he wanted a challenge.


    ''Let''s show them some confidence.''


    After saying this, he found a massive piece of clear land, no buildings, just concrete flooring and a water fountain in the middle, with some benches here and there. Overall it looked quite beautiful.


    Hayato showed off his confidence by sitting next to the water fountain and looking at the sky. He may have seemed arrogant but in truth, he wanted to beat his opponents without tricks and in head-on combat. That''s how Hayato was; Straightforward.


    Everyone in the stadium looked at the screens with their mouths agape. This kid was just waiting for everyone to come at him and he didn''t seem nervous, in fact, he seemed to radiate more and more confidence as time went on. All Might started laughing while clapping his hands "That''s the way Young Tagami! No tricks, just fighting! HAHAHA!" was all he said with his booming voice.


    All the students felt that Hayato was looking down on them, especially Katsuki and Todoroki. But Izuku spoke in defense of Hayato, to those of class 1-A who were angry with his cocky attitude. "Hacchan''s always been like this, all he wants is a good fight. He''s not looking down on anyone, in fact, he''s giving everyone a chance no matter their strength to fight him. This is actually quite respectful from Hacchan''s perspective."


    After everyone thought about it, it did seem respectful of Hayato to give everyone a chance.


    And it was true. While Hayato knew that the weaker people might be scared off by his strength, he hoped that they could try their best and give him a challenging battle. Hayato only wanted to protect those who can''t protect themselves and to have plenty of good fights. He had simple needs.


    Midnight-sensei soon told everyone to make their way to the Urban City. When they got there, they all put on their discs in different places and got ready to enter the city.


    They would all be given 10 minutes to get into a position where they felt comfortable with and then they''d be able to go looking for people to get points from. Only the top 16 in terms of points would make it through to the final of the sports festival.


    Everyone entered the urban city and went to their positions. Hayato was doing stretches while he waited for the big battle to begin.


    "BEGIN!"


    Suddenly a booming voice said for them to go. Quickly people started popping up to get to Hayato but he just sat there and let them come out. There were only 3 people at the minute but Hayato knew there''d soon be more.


    These people were from class 1-B. He knew one of them was Monoma Neito, with his quirk "Copy" which let him copy a quirk for 5 minutes. The other two were Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu and Bondo Kojiro.


    "Well, looky here, it''s the star of class 1-A. You''re a really arrogant guy, you know that right?" Monoma spoke with clear disdain for Hayato. Hayato knew why, it was because he didn''t really like anyone in class 1-A, especially someone like Hayato who stood out.


    Hayato didn''t reply, he just stood up. Monoma seemed visibly angry at Hayato''s silence.


    "Let''s just get this over with, you salty bastard." Was all Hayato said before he charged at them.


    Monoma hurriedly used his Copy quirk on Tetsutetsu and used his quirk Steel. Him and Tetsutetsu, both in their steel forms, ran to meet Hayato''s charge while Bondo got ready to use his quirk to trap Hayato when the time came.


    What none of them expected was for Hayato to dodge past them and aim for Bondo. Bondo panicked and blasted glue, through his quirk, at Hayato but Hayato just jumped over it and sent muscle fiber wires into the ground to bring him down with unbelievable speed.


    When he was in front of Bondo, Hayato quickly threw four balls at his discs, gaining 8 points before he kicked him away into a bush.


    Before Hayato could react 3 balls came out of nowhere as if him hitting Bondo had sparked a war.


    Quickly, Hayato expertly used two muscle fiber wires to knock away the incoming balls. He didn''t know where they were coming from so he turned to Monoma and Tetsutetsu and charged at them. The two of them had already had this idea and were halfway towards him.


    Hayato wanted to see how hard they hit so he let them charge into him, but he kept wary of them pulling out any balls.


    *BANG!*


    "Well, that''s slightly disappointing." was all Hayato said before he blasted them back, not forgetting to throw 2 balls at them each, scoring himself another 8 points. Their combined attack force hardly hurt him, after the Nomu, most attacks didn''t seem that bad. He made sure to hit them both with enough force to knock them out but they were still up.


    Monoma told Tetsutetsu to go off and get some points for himself, as surprisingly he was the worst affected by the punch.


    "Quite an interesting quirk you have, Tagami-san." Monoma spoke with his usual smug smile on his face. Monoma charged at Hayato with speed unlike before, Hayato guessed that he''d copied his quirk. Well, exactly how he wanted him to anyway.


    When Monoma appeared in front of Hayato again he had a bulkier muscle form than what Hayato usually had, that was because Muscle Augmentation was the only quirk he was born with, everything else is from his body and Monoma can''t copy that. So in the end, he only got part of the whole package and Hayato was going to enjoy showing him that.


    Hayato threw a left hook right into Monoma''s chin, sending in spiraling mid-air towards a bench near them, but Hayato interfered and slammed him into the floor before getting a ball from his box and tapping each disc slowly while he held Monoma''s head against the ground.


    ''If he wants to treat us like pricks, I guess I can play the part.''


    After that, Hayato threw him as hard as he could into a far-off building. Hayato didn''t worry about him dying, the quirk''s he copied should keep him alive.


    After this little show, most of the people lying in waiting hesitated. Hayato didn''t only look strong, he was strong. He dealt with some decently powerful people as if they were all toddlers who couldn''t quite control their body''s right.


    In the stadium, the crowd was going wild at this display of fighting prowess.


    "There you go folks, the kid who took down 3 giant robots with one punch and defeated a strong villain on his own, this kids fighting talent is 100% real!" was all Present Mic shouted after seeing this fight.


    Hayato went back over to the water fountain and sat next to it, looking up at the sky again. He could hear people whispering and moving about not too far from him with his enhanced senses but he just sat still, like a king who waited for his subjects to come to him not the other way around.


    Hayato knew that it was all just getting started.

 Chapter 13 - Hero Tag Over and an Emotional Conversation~

    Time passed, and Hayato had defeated about 4 more people after Monoma and the other 1-B goons. He knew that Katsuki, Todoroki and most likely Itsuka and Himiko were gathering points before coming to him, so they could have a proper fight without it being interrupted because they needed to go get more points so they weren''t kicked out of the festival.


    Hayato had about 56 points, he only hit someone''s discs once, gaining 8 points off of each person. Hayato thought that it''d be a bit unfair if he just held someone down and constantly tapped his balls onto their discs.


    Hayato heard some distant explosions that were getting closer and closer.


    ''Katsuki''s here, huh?''


    One of the few Hayato was wary of was arriving.


    "HAYATO!!!" Katsuki''s rough voice was incredibly hoarse as he flew towards Hayato at an incredible speed, with his explosions pushing his faster and faster towards Hayato. The person who was being called slowly opened his eyes and looked at Katsuki.


    Hayato got into a combat stance and waited. He wanted to have a fight, not this silly game of tag. He originally thought that it would prove to be interesting but it dulled the further he played along. His main aim now was to get a good fight out of this, while getting enough points to go through to the finals.


    Katsuki was right in front of Hayato now and he could see the bloodshot eyes filled with rage and determination to destroy. Hayato sighed as he dodged Katsuki''s charge, as he said "Slow." purely to anger him more.


    As Katsuki was passing him, Hayato lifted his leg high into the air and brought the leg down onto where Katsuki was going to be.


    *WHOOSH!*


    The leg came down at a blinding speed, looking just like a blur to those watching in the stadium. Unfortunately, Katsuki''s reflexes were incredibly quick and he dodged the kick by setting an explosion off in the direction of Hayato, pushing him away from Hayato and out of the range of the kick.


    The kick carried on, making the surrounding air turbulent and it hit the concrete below them, smashing and cracking it.


    "You''re gonna have to try harder than that, you bastard!" Katsuki yelled as he flew at Hayato again. Hayato dodged once again and tapped a disc on Katsuki''s back with a ball, eliciting a violent reaction from Katsuki.


    This fight went on for a while longer and Katsuki was further adapting his fighting style to be able to take on Hayato''s superior physique. His fighting style had leaned towards a hit and run tactic where he was trying to wear Hayato down while doing this he kept trying to throw the red balls at the discs on Hayato''s body.


    Of course, he failed to do so as Hayato would whip them away with his muscle fiber wires. The more and more they fought, the more aggressive Katsuki and the more serious Hayato got but the fight couldn''t last forever.


    "Katsuki, I''m afraid I''m gonna have to go and get more points, bye!" After saying this, Hayato hit Katsuki into the ground and then ran off to find more people to get points off of.


    Along the way, he found Himiko and Itsuka and teased them a bit by throwing barrage after barrage of balls at them, by the end of this part of this part of the tournament, he had 180 points.


    Everyone in the urban city heard a loud blaring horn go off and Present Mic shouting "HERO TAG, OVER!" so everyone made his or her way over to the entrance of the Urban city and went back to the stadium.


    Once back there, Hayato had to withstand the death stare of Himiko and Itsuka and the wrath of Katsuki who, if it wasn''t for Aizawa-sensei would have tried to blow Hayato up with a full powered explosion.


    "Well, girls and boys, don''t you want to see the results?" Midnight-sensei''s seductive and playful voice came through the speakers and gathered everyone''s attention. Behind her, was a giant screen with a leaderboard on it.


    Looking at the results, Hayato was mildly surprised; he wasn''t first. Todoroki was first with 212 points and Hayato could guess how she gathered her points. He looked over at her and she looked back at him, he walked over to her and posed a question "You froze someone and farmed points off of them, didn''t you, Todoroki?"


    Hearing his question, she scoffed and answered "Yes, I did. Got a problem with that?" her voice got incredibly confrontational when she posed her question to Hayato. Hayato was really wondering where her aggression against him was coming from, he only asked her a question.


    Hayato didn''t want a fight, so he put his hands up in surrender and walked back over to where he was before.


    "Well, we''re gonna have a quick lunch break before we start the tournament. So students, viewers, go eat your fill because you''re gonna need it when you watch the battles later!" Midnight-sensei seemed like she was really getting into being a presenter as she kept speaking with more and more passion.


    Hayato walked over to Himiko and Itsuka and walked off to go get lunch but before he could walk out, Todoroki was next to him with Izuku and she motioned that he had to follow her.


    ''Why''d I get dragged into this...?''


    Before Himiko and Itsuka pounced on Todoroki, Hayato calmed them down and told them that he''d meet them in the cafeteria after he spoke with her and they reluctantly walked away while glaring at Hayato and Todoroki.


    Hayato could only sigh as he followed Todoroki.


    They soon arrived in a hallway that was hidden away from prying eyes and Todoroki started off by speaking to Izuku."I was overwhelmed when you attacked me by surprise in the Hero Tag game Midoriya-san." she took her time as Izuku started nervously gulping. "I don''t think anyone else other than Tagami has ever experienced you when you attack with your quick. Not up close anyway. It reminded me of the time when I experienced All Might''s quirk."Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.


    Izuku nearly jumped out of his own skin at that and stuttered back at her "O-okay, is that a-all?"


    "Midoriya, tell me and don''t doubt me when I say I''ll know when you''re lying. Are you really All Might''s secret love child?" Todoroki sounded so serious like she''d cracked a cold case that no one else had or could and Hayato couldn''t hold it in.


    "Hahahahahaha! Secret love child? Hahahahaha!" Hayato lost himself as he doubled over and laughed himself into a fit of laughter. He seen this part before but being here and listening to it first hand, just made him lose it a little bit.


    Todoroki looked at the laughing Hayato with a look of anger and annoyance and Izuku looked a bit offended at Hayato''s laughter at him being All Might''s secret kid. But Hayato motioned for them to carry on as he tried to keep his laughter under check to let them talk.


    "W-well, to answer your question, Todoroki-san, no, I''m in no way, All Might''s secret l-love child!" Izuku yelled as he got more and more nervous.


    Todoroki seemed to accept his answer but she accepted it with a grain of salt as she figured he was connected to him some different way. She then turned to the now, none laughing Hayato who was smiling at her.


    "You...Are you All Might''s disciple or something? You act like him, you fight like him and you even quote him when you fight. So are you his disciple?"


    "No, I''m not. I just think of All Might as the ideal, the perfect hero and I want to strive to be like him. So I quote him when I feel it fits, I fight like him because like him, I''m a heavy hitter and I act like him, well, I''m not acting, that''s just me!" Hayato beamed a smile at her to reassure her that he wasn''t All Might''s disciple. Which wasn''t a lie because he wasn''t, he was a student, just like everyone else, he just spent more time with him.


    "I don''t think that''s entirely true, Tagami. Because you see, my dad''s Endeavour and as you two must know, he''s the 2nd ranked hero and right behind All Might." she paused for a brief second while she let Hayato and Izuku process what she meant before she said it.


    "So if you''re both connected to the number 1 hero, All Might, that gives me even more reason to beat the both of you." Hayato got serious at this moment and the smile on his face disappeared.


    ''Does she have some kind of daddy complex? Why''s she still trying to prove anything to that ass?''


    "You see, my old man is really ambitious. But he could never overtake All Might and that means the Symbol of Peace is an everlasting reminder of his failure." she seemed incredibly solemn as she continued to speak.


    "Um, Todoroki-san? I''m not really sure what you''re on about?" Izuku seemed anxious as he spoke.


    "Have you ever heard of Quirk Marriages, either of you?"


    Hayato spoke up hearing this "Yeah, I have. They''re basically forced marriages between strong and compatible quirks to make stronger offspring. For example, my mom and dad would be a very good quirk marriage, as they made me, someone with a very strong quirk. It''s a sick, old practice that has no place in a modern society." the more Hayato spoke, the more anger was in his voice.


    Todoroki nodded with an expression of hatred on her face "My dad not only has a rich history of accomplishments but plenty of money to throw at his problems." she spat the last few words out like they were pieces of rotten food.


    "He...he bought my Mother''s relatives out so they''d force her into a marriage with him. And he did it all for her quirk, all to beat All Might...!" Todoroki was shaking with her hair covering her face but it did nothing to hide the venom in her voice as she spoke about her father.


    Izuku was naturally taken aback by what was said and Hayato was too, but Hayato just squinted his eyes and he curled his fists into balls.


    ''Wouldn''t it be nice to fire off a full powered punch into her dad''s face?''


    Was all Hayato could think. He just couldn''t understand how you could throw someone''s life under the bus for your own agenda. For a righteous enough agenda, like freeing people from oppression or things similar, Hayato could reluctantly agree. But to do so because you weren''t the number 1 hero? Hayato couldn''t stand to think that Endeavor was the 2nd ranked hero with that kind of selfishness.


    "I...I refuse to be a tool to that scumbag!" Tears were dropping on the floor now as her shaking intensified but on the contrary, her voice got filled with more and more determination. If it weren''t for the circumstances, Hayato would have admired her for her determination to go against that scumbag.


    "In every memory of my mother that I have, she''s crying and I couldn''t do anything! She said my left side was unbearable to look at as she poured boiling hot water over it..." she covered the left side of her face, where her scar from that incident was.


    When she went to speak again, she looked up at Hayato who''d dug his fingers into the concrete behind him like it was putty. His fingers and the pressure from his hands had sent cracks all across the wall and his feet were doing the same thing; they were dug into the ground and the ground was cracked and split.


    Todoroki couldn''t believe her eyes. The always Joyous Tagami she knew and took secret glances at in class was suddenly unlike himself; he was furious. She could feel the rage radiating off of his body, permeating the air and filling it with promises of violence and destruction. Then she looked into his eyes. His eyes, like the deepest, bloodiest infernos of hell, were glistening with tears.


    She was shocked. Everyone else who knew this story either is angry, or sad, few people she knew were ever both of those and they were her sisters, her siblings and she knew that whoever showed her anger and sadness on this level; they cared.


    Meanwhile, Hayato felt like he was being silly. He already knew what had happened, he knew what she''d gone through but there was something about her saying it in such a pitiful condition, while she was crying and shaking, it just snapped something in Hayato akin to an emotional dam. He felt anger like he''d never felt before and that led to sadness which led back to anger, like a vicious cycle and it was all real emotion. There was something different about sitting at a screen and hearing what happened to Todoroki there and hearing it in person when you knew she was real.


    Hayato snapped himself out of it and wiped away the tears that had fallen yet. And walked towards Todoroki and did a simple thing; He hugged her.


    "I''m...I''m so sorry you had to go through that, Todoroki...I...This is all I can do. If you have any problems, tell me, I''ll sort them out no matter what." he paused as he felt Todoroki''s arms wrap around his back and squeeze him with slightly inhuman strength."You''ll never be a tool to your father. Don''t think of using your left side as helping your father, think of it as helping yourself, okay? Never let him bring you down, ever." Hayato''s voice was incredibly gentle like he feared he''d hurt Todoroki if he spoke too loud and after speaking he broke the hug, grabbed Izuku and started to walk away.


    When he was at the exit of the hallway he turned to the sniffling Todoroki and spoke again "And if he ever does bring you down, tell him from me that--" as Todoroki looked at Hayato, he was like before but this time without the sadness, just the rage "--I''ll hit him so hard that he''ll have trouble remembering who hit him; Me or All Might." after saying this, Hayato walked away, leaving deep indents on the concrete below his feet.


    As Todoroki just stood there, she felt like she''d cleared something out of her chest and she felt lighter because of it. She looked at where Hayato was and wiped her tears away with a smile as she stood there and remembered how she was hugged by him and her face went incredibly red.


    Hayato who was walking away slowly calmed down and now had more reason to get stronger; to hit Todoroki''s dad.

 Chapter 14 - Match Ups and a Threat~

    After the conversation, Hayato wasn''t in a very good mood and it showed on his face.


    His usually cheerful and confident face was deadpan and sometimes slipped into a scowl. He looked oddly terrifying, like someone who was perfect to be a villain. Paired with his horns he looked like a legendary Demon King from the novels from the past.


    He realized he was letting the issue get to him a bit much, so he took a deep breath and seemed to breathe out all his troubles. His shoulders seemed less tense and they relaxed a little bit. He decided to go and distract himself, so he went to the cafeteria, Izuku went off to go find All Might, so he had nothing else to do.


    When he arrived in the cafeteria, he saw Kaminari''s blonde hair and his signature black lightning bolt on the front of his hair. Hayato smiled as he realized he could have some fun before the final part of the tournament.


    "Yo, Kaminari!" Hayato shouted over to the lone Kaminari who was waiting in the line. Hayato ran up to him and squeezed himself behind him. Kaminari looked at the class rep of their class "Oh, hey Tagami, what do you want, dude?" his voice was calm and carefree as he looked at Hayato.


    "I have a plan, and I need you to back me up, here it is..." Hayato started explaining his plan and the more he talked, the more excited he got and the more excited Kaminari got as well. They decided to get some food before putting their plan into action.


    Hayato easily got them plates of food by using his height and muscle fiber wires to his advantage. The two of them went to sit down and eat.


    They quickly ate through their food, while speaking to each other about the genius of the idea.


    Hayato finished first and Kaminari soon after, they both stood up and went to put the plan under action.


    "Hey, Yaoyorozu, I just got news from Aizawa-sensei, you and the other girls need to wear cheerleading outfits for the first part of the tournament to cheer people of class 1-A on when they fight." Hayato put an apologetic smile on as he told Yaoyorozu about ''Aizawa-sensei''s'' plan. Kaminari stood next to him and nodded his head with a very serious expression.


    Yaoyorozu had a troubled expression on her face, so did Jiro who was standing next to her. Unluckily for Hayato, Itsuka and Himiko were within ear range when he spoke to Yaoyorozu. "Hayato, you pervert! Who''d believe you, huh?!" was what Itsuka said, while Himiko had spaghetti hanging out of her mouth and she didn''t seem to be bothered with wearing a cheerleading uniform.


    "Well, Aizawa-sensei told me to tell Yaoyorozu to make the cheerleading uniforms." Hayato turned to Yaoyorozu and spoke to her "It''s okay if you don''t want to, but Aizawa-sensei would probably be pretty mad about it if you didn''t do as he said." Hayato could only show an apologetic look on his face as he used his control over his muscles to stop his face from twitching and also his control over his blood to stop himself from blushing from how shameless he was being.


    Yaoyorozu seemed troubled for a minute but she soon nodded her head. "Okay, thanks for the heads up, Tagami-kun." she smiled at Hayato and he smiled back, before saying "I bet you''ll look incredibly when you put the uniform on." and leaving under Himiko and Itsuka''s death stares at what he just said. Yaoyorozu, however, was beet red as she fidgeted with her hair before sitting down and making the uniforms.


    Hayato felt slightly guilty about tricking her into doing this, but that guilt was squashed when he thought about how all the beautiful girls in his class were gonna be wearing crop tops and cheerleading skirts, he and Kaminari were incredibly excited about how it was gonna look.


    Lunch past as Kaminari and Hayato became better and better friends, even addressing each other by their given names. Friends were usually made through talking to like-minded people, the more they had in common, the quicker they became close.


    "Well, Denki, we better get going, the fruits of our plan are about to bloom~"


    "You''re right, Hayato, we''ve gotta go see~"


    They both walked to where the other students were gathering with questionable smiles on their faces.


    "Hello and welcome back everyone! Before we start the tournament we have a few small events for those who didn''t make it through to the final and for those who aren''t competing, we''ve brought in cheerleaders to really get your blood pumping!" Present Mic''s boisterous voice boomed throughout the stadium as Hayato and Denki got there.Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.


    Hayato and Denki saw the girls of their class dressed in their cheerleading uniforms and Hayato felt like some kind of harem protagonist as his nose started bleeding a little bit. They all looked amazing, especially Yaoyorozu, her figure was incredibly curvaceous. Saying that though, none of the other girls lost out, they all had their own unique charm.


    Sadly, the picturesque scene was ruined by their incredibly somber faces. When they saw Hayato and Denki with perverted looks on their faces, they charged over to them.


    "Oi! Muscle Brain! Do you think this is funny?" Itsuka kept hitting Hayato''s face, while she screamed her sentences at him with a red face, that seemed like steam could come out of it at any second. Himiko also kept hitting Hayato with her face in a cute pout.


    Yaoyorozu seemed taken aback by Hayato''s prank but she couldn''t help but fidget when she saw Hayato and Denki''s weird smiles. After all this, Hayato apologized while complimenting all the girls with a smile on his face, so they reluctantly forgave him which was more than they did for Denki who was being constantly glared at.


    Once all this had gone underway, Hayato and the others walk over to where the students were going to draw lots from the box Midnight-sensei was now holding, it was all for the final battle.


    Hayato drew his lot with Denki as they were talking and he looked around to see whom he got. On a massive screen hanging over where they were, it showed the pairing of who would fight who. Hayato looked towards whom he was going against. But before he could find who he was against, he heard a girl scream "I''m against Tagami, why is the world so cruel!" Hayato turned towards the voice and saw Ashido in her cheerleading clothes.


    Hayato couldn''t help but admit that she was quite attractive in it, her light purple skin, pink hair and yellow eyes with black sclera gave her an exotic kind of beauty. Plus the uniform and it gave her a youthful air. But all this was out the window as she seemed incredibly frustrated at the matchups.


    Hayato couldn''t help the wry smile spreading on his face.


    ''Seems that I''m the person most people would least want to go against...I can''t exactly blame them...''


    "You can all compete in the mini-games if you want, treat it as a way to calm down before the final part of the tournament!" Midnight-sensei passionately yelled as she looked at the students in front of her. Hayato went to go get some more food, he knew he''d need it for the fights to come and anyway, he was hungry to start with.


    Hayato went on his own as he wanted to clear his head and calm down but he would have never thought that he would meet someone he absolutely didn''t want to meet right now; Endeavor. He was in the corridor Hayato was walking through to get to the cafeteria.


    Endeavor was just leaning against the wall with his eyes closed. The flames around his body were calmy swaying back and forth, but Hayato could feel the potential rage the flames could hold, the destruction they could cause.


    Hayato went to walk past Endeavor but the pro-hero stood up and walk in front of Hayato, trying to intimidate him with his size. But that didn''t work out for him, Hayato was about an inch taller than him and while Hayato didn''t have bulky muscle like Endeavor, his muscle felt more like it was used to fight and destroy, opposed to Endeavor''s muscle that seemed like it could only lift heavy things.


    "What do you want?" Hayato''s voice was incredibly cold and his eyes blazed with scorn as he looked at Endeavor. Endeavor seemed taken aback by Hayato''s attitude but he put it aside and spoke. "I want you to drop out of the tournament. I want Shoka to win and you pose a threat to that." Endeavor''s voice was calm and collected but it was layered with disdain.


    Hayato was taken aback by the outrageous suggestion and his eyes closed into slits as his eyes lit up with a dangerous red, as if a volcano was about to erupt. "And what if I say no?" his voice came out as a barely contained hiss or anger, something in him refused to accept what had just been asked of him.


    "I will personally make your life hell. I know of your connections to All Might but that will not stop me, I promise you this." Endeavor''s flames seemed to expand as Endeavor made his promise. It was just like when an animal tried to make itself look bigger to scare off an opponent.


    But Hayato would not fall for that, animals only did that when they were scared; Endeavor was worried about him. And that made Hayato feel like he could push it a little bit.


    "Oh, All Might, what are you doing here?" Hayato looked behind Endeavor and put on a troubled smile. Endeavor''s flames burst into life and started crackling with destruction and pain, he turned around to see if his life-long rival really was behind him.


    When he finally turned around fully, he saw nothing but an empty corridor. Suddenly he felt a strong hand on his shoulder and an incredible amount of strength channeling through it and into his body, pushing him.


    He was caught by surprise, so even if he could usually stop this level of strength, right now he couldn''t.


    As you''d expect, the hand was Hayato''s and he''d entered his most powerful mode and pushed Endeavor aside and into a wall. The wall crumbled as Endeavor put his hand on it to steady himself. His head shot to where Hayato was, but Hayato was well ahead of him as he''d dashed down the hall and into the cafeteria as soon as he''d pushed him.


    ''Threaten me? Ha! Deserves you right, you old bastard! Hahaha!''


    Thinking of the surprised expression on Endeavor''s face, Hayato couldn''t help but laugh in his head, which led to him laughing in reality as well. Hayato soon calmed down and went to get some food, he was ravenous.

 Im coming back~

    After a long time, nearly an eternity, I''m back to this book.


    I''ve been repeatedly trying to continue writing this story on the side for so long and now I''ve got the motivation to do it again.


    Plus I''m legit scared about how many people want more updates, like, seriously just look in the last released chapter''s comment section; There''s so many comments left unanswered and I''m too scared to look at them in case one of them curses me or something.This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road.     I was just re-reading the novel earlier and I found myself enjoying it and wanting to expand on it, so here it is, you can expect an update within the next day or two.

 Chapter 15 - The Start of the Tournament

    Walking toward the canteen, Hayato had the line of thought to stock up on as much energy (food) as he possibly could.


    It didn''t take long for him to get to his favorite place in the school and he soon had 3 plates packed with 3 mountains of food. One plate dedicated to meat, another to carbs and the last one to desserts.


    Along with the plates were 3 big glass bottles of milk, somehow balanced on his arms. Hayato''s control over his body was truly being tested with this ''daunting'' task.


    Most people looked at Hayato with weird looks. Sure he was a big guy but no one needed that much food, right?


    Well, regardless, Hayato was about to prove them wrong. Before people could even blink, as soon as he''d sat down Hayato had demolished half of the meat plate before ravenously devouring the plate stocked with bread and pasta.


    When that plate had been practically licked clean, he finished the meat plate soon after and proceeded to dump the desserts down his gullet.


    And to wash it all down, Hayato chugged the 3 bottles of milk, giving out a satisfied "Ahh~" after he''d finished. Everyone surrounding him felt dizzy at the rate he''d eaten such a mountain of food. They felt even dizzier when they heard his stomach, which hadn''t bulged in the slightest even from the amount of food he ate, rumble a little more.


    Now, Hayato didn''t just have three plates for variety, he could eat the same thing constantly as long as it were food. No, he did this because each plate seemed to promote more production in a certain hormone being produced by his horns or the Orb organ in his chest.


    The meat was for his O Hormone, the one which helped his muscles and tendons, along with some of the meat being fatty fish which helped the, as Hayato was starting to call it, N Hormone which helped his Nerves, Senses and Reaction Time, sharpen and grow.


    The Carbs were for his overall Energy Reserves and the Sugary Desserts were for his R Hormone which nourished his blood, overall vitality and also his internal organs. Obviously, the milk was for the B Hormone which strengthened both his bones and skin.


    The reason for his hibernation-like preparation was because he knew the next few fights were going to be challenging. Todoroki, Katsuki, Iida, hell, even Izuku, would all be hard fights, so he needed to be prepared.


    Hence his mini-buffet at the minute.


    Feeling his body rapidly digest the food, Hayato felt both strength and vitality fill each and every fiber of his body. Clenching his fist, which gave out several satisfying cracks and pops, Hayato felt happy with his decision to eat before the fights.


    Getting up, Hayato took the plates and empty milk bottles over to the washers, who he was quite friendly with because of his constant visits, and gave them his plates.


    Walking toward the Arena with a spring in his step, Hayato exuded confidence. Everyone near him felt it and made sure to stay clear of him, whether they knew how powerful he was or not.


    It didn''t take long for Hayato to get to the arena where the fights were going to be held as he sped up into a jog half-way there.


    Entering the waiting area for the students, Hayato saw multiple of his classmates sitting around talking to each other.


    Some looked up and over at him before nodding as a greeting and he nodded back. Some of the more friendly people like Kirishima and Ashido came over and started talking to him. Seeing that neither Himiko, Itsuka or Izuku were here, he decided to tag along with Ashido and Kirishima for now.


    "Ashido-san, no hard feelings on the Arena, all right? Let''s both try our hardest to win!" Hayato clasped his hand on Ashido''s shoulder in a friendly manner, a bright smile spread across his face.


    Ashido had her own smile on her face when she heard what Hayato said. She reached up on her tip-toes as she clasped Hayato''s own shoulder and nodded her head with her usual enthusiasm and optimistic look on her face.


    "Hm! Sure, I won''t let you down, Tagami-kun!"


    Ashido and Hayato''s eyes lit up, both of them looking like mirrored versions of each other in terms of positive vibes and how they both had cheerful smiles on their faces''.


    Kirishima started laughing as he watched the two of them, he continued laughing as he remembered something. Clasping his hands on both of them, on their free shoulders, Kirishima also joined in.


    "Well, I''m also on your side of the tournament so I''ll be sure to fight either one of you with everything I''ve got!" Kirishima flashed a big smile, rivaling their own smiles, showing off his cheeriness and his unusually sharp teeth.


    The trio of teenagers nodded at each other, sealing in their promise to not hold back and go at each other with everything they had.


    After this, Mina walked off over to Asui who came into the room with Uraraka and Izuku. Kirishima walked off trying to find Katsuki and Denki, while Izuku came over to Hayato and both of them discussed the opponents they''d be facing.


    Just like in the anime, Izuku was up against Shinso as the first match of the tournament.


    And also just like in the anime/manga, the tournament''s rules were the same. You could either win by knocking your opponent unconscious, knocking them out of the arena or by getting them to admit defeat.


    Everyone currently in the room headed out to the Arena with most of them heading off to the stands and sitting down in the seats assigned to class 1-A. Izuku stood around by the Arena waiting for his turn on the stage and with one last supportive slap on the back, Hayato left him and walked over to the stands with the others.The author''s tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.


    He knew he could help Izuku a lot because he knew Shinso''s powers of Mind Control and he knew how Shinso activated it as well; Anyone who answered a question of his could be instantly controlled.


    But Hayato knew this was a point where Izuku could grow and Hayato didn''t want to risk affecting Izuku''s path to becoming a Hero in a bad way. Plus someone else who''d experienced Shinso''s brainwashing had given Izuku a quick rundown on the Quirk.


    Izuku was directed to a tunnel he''d have to walk out of at the beginning of the match, the tunnel where All Might would give Izuku a much-needed prep speech. This, plus Hayato''s earlier support, should help Izuku drop most of his nerves.


    Present Mic was rambling/shouting about a bunch of random stuff, while most of the people who were in the mini-games during the break were leaving the arena floor and heading to this assigned seats as Cementoss used his power to make an Arena.


    The Cement flowed out of a big tube and like it had a mind of its own, flowed into the form of a perfect rectangle in the middle of the stadium, with a smooth looking platform on top of it, this was where the fighting would take place. Along with this were the finishing touches in the form of two sets of stairs on either side to allow for access of the platform for the students.


    Hayato sat down on his seat, between Himiko and Itsuka, with Kirishima and Mina in front of him who occasionally turned around and spoke to him.


    Hayato noticed that everyone around him seemed quite nervous despite their hardest efforts to conceal it. Himiko kept fidgeting and her eyes kept darting around and Itsuka kept tapping his legs up and down, a common thing that happened when you were either nervous or anxious.


    Both these things were toned down a bit when Hayato addressed them and told them neither of them had anything to worry about, they both had great quirks and were good fighters, so they had next to nothing to worry about.


    While he was consoling and reassuring his two friends, Present Mic introduced both of the 1st match Students.


    These students being Shinso and Izuku.


    They both looked like opposites with Izuku smiling with a nervous look on his face and hope in his eyes, and Shinso just looking at Izuku with a deadpan expression.


    The crowd was going wild as the excitement in the stadium rose to a new level as everyone realized the Tournament was fully getting into top gear. Both Shinso and Izuku bowed to each other and Shinso seemed to be speaking to Izuku.


    Izuku didn''t seem particularly happy with whatever Shinso was saying and as soon as Present Mic shouted out "START!" Izuku charged at Shinso while yelling something.


    ''Here we go...''


    Was all Hayato could think as he saw Izuku stop charging at Shinso and instead just stood there, like a brainless puppet.


    Everyone around Hayato seemed shocked, just like the rest of the crowd and Present Mic. Uraraka and Iida both stood up from their seats and leaned forward over the handrails to see what was stopping Izuku.


    Himiko and Itsuka both looked confusedly between Shinso and Izuku before looking at Hayato.


    "Hayato, shouldn''t you be more worried? Midoriya-kun might lose because of this!" Itsuka spoke with a slight urgency which surprised Hayato.


    ''Turns out they''re really becoming friends with the rest of the group and not just me~''


    Smirking, Hayato just leaned back with his hands on the back of his head. "He''ll be fine." was all he said, his calm voice full of confidence.


    Everyone around Hayato was looking at Izuku with worry in their eyes, the only exceptions being Katsuki and Todoroki who didn''t seem to care if Izuku lost. Everyone looked at these three people wondering why they weren''t worried either.


    Well, most people understood why Todoroki and Katsuki didn''t worry; they didn''t particularly like Izuku. But Hayato was Izuku''s best friend, why wasn''t he worried as well?


    Suddenly, at Shinso''s request, Izuku turned around and started walking toward the stairs so he could get off the stage. Everyone started making a ruckus over this and Hayato opened one of his eyes and looked toward the tunnel Izuku had come out of.


    All Might in his skinny form was worriedly looking at Izuku, tightly gripping the concrete frame of the hallway he was in. He was muttering something Hayato couldn''t quite hear but he guessed it was something about Izuku having to snap out of whatever was happening.


    Even though he knew what was going to happen, Hayato couldn''t help but get nervous as he saw Izuku getting closer and closer to the edge.


    "Come on, Izuku, snap out of it already...!" Hayato saw Izuku getting dangerously close to the edge. He knew what happened in the Anime; Izuku snapped out of it by using One For All to break his fingers. But he didn''t know if that had changed with him being in the world, like some other things.


    Izuku was right on the edge at the minute and Hayato could stay still, he shot up from his seat and rushed over to the handrails of 1-A''s little section of seats.


    "IZUKU, SNAP OUT OF IT! DON''T FORGET YOUR GOAL AND HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE SUPPORTING YOU, YOU IDIOT!" Hayato''s shout overpowered the murmuring of the crowd and even gave Present Mic''s voice a run for its money.


    Everyone surrounding Hayato was shocked by his sudden switch in character. From his calm confidence to anxious worry.


    The crowd all zoned in on Hayato as they felt their ears slightly ache from his yell of encouragement.


    But their attention was soon grabbed by a massive boom of air as Izuku flicked one of his fingers. The air spread across the platform and even pushed Shinso backward a little bit despite him being so far away.


    Hayato smiled as he saw what happened. Either his shout had actually helped or Izuku had been helped out by the previous users of One For All who activated the Quirk for him. Regardless, Hayato felt a weight had left his chest and he could breathe freely now, falling back onto an empty chair.


    Izuku looked over at Hayato and beamed a smile of immense gratitude his way, Hayato replied with a smile of his own and a thumbs up.


    Izuku then went on to slam Shinso off of the platform because of the gap between their physical strength, Izuku having been trained by All Might was much stronger than Shinso who relied on his brains rather than brawn.


    Winning, Izuku walked to the center of the stage where he and Shinso bowed toward each other before leaving the stage and letting the next match go ahead without them being in the way.


    "Now it''s the second match and the students are, Endeavor''s Daughter Todoroki Shoka, both hot and cold she can use either one!" Present Mic''s enthusiastic voice made up for Todoroki''s grimace as she heard what he said.


    Hayato wryly smiled as he guessed that introduction would annoy her.


    Speaking of things that annoy Todoroki, Hayato saw her Dad not too far from him smiling like some kind of mad scientist looking at his greatest creation.


    ''He never does cease being such an annoying prick, does he?''


    Hayato scowled as he looked at the fiery ''hero'' not too far from him. While he did this, Present Mic introduced Todoroki''s opponent, Sero Hanta, while also making some kind of pun centered around tape because of Sero''s Quirk.


    After introducing both of them and both of them bowing at each other, well, Todoroki didn''t really bow, more of a nod of the head if anything, after this Present Mic took in a big breath of air before shouting.


    "START!"

 Chapter 16 - Hayatos First Match

    Sero who had been stretching up till now with a tired look on his face, instantly sprung into action wrapping Todoroki up in tape.


    The tape kept her arms firmly against her body so she couldn''t use either of them to attack with her quirk and Sero took advantage of this as he grabbed the tape still attached to his elbow and started to swing her around, picking up speed and momentum to fling her off the platform.


    "Woah! Look-y here at Sero! An instant surprise attack and a follow-up attack to throw Todoroki off of the platform!" Present Mic was as loud as always as he screamed out what was happening for the fans.


    Hayato stared at the fight, wondering if Todoroki would do what she did in the anime.


    As he looked closely at the serious expression on her face and the anger in her eyes, he found his answer; Yes. He also got an answer when Todoroki flicked her right hand upwards in Sero''s direction while saying something.


    Hayato eyes lip read it as ''Sorry''. Then it happened.


    The first thing Hayato felt was the cold biting at his skin, the wind feeling like it was slicing his warm skin. Then he saw it, the massive Iceberg in front of him. He''d seen it once before in the Anime bit right now it seemed bigger and Hayato was pretty sure it wasn''t just his shock that made him feel this.


    What made him feel that it was bigger was that he''d instinctively entered his Battle Form and sent a half powered punch at the iceberg which was coming to crush/freeze them.


    His feet had dug themselves into the ground, sending cracks throughout the seating area and his fist was buried deeply in the ice. A crater was evident on the part of the iceberg Hayato had punched.


    This made him feel it was bigger because even a half-full power punch in Battle Form had barely put a stop to it and despite the reinforcement on his bones and skin, his skin had lacerations all up his arm and his bones felt like they were crumbling apart because of the force traveling back and forth in his arm.


    Pulling out his arm from the iceberg, Hayato let out a sigh of relief that he''d stopped the iceberg and another sigh of relief when he saw that Todoroki hadn''t seriously hurt anyone with her outburst.


    Hayato looked toward the screen to the side of the stadium and saw Todoroki apologizing to a shivering Sero as she thawed him out with her left side''s fire quirk. While she was doing this, Midnight-sensei and Present Mic were announcing that Todoroki had won.


    After Sero was thawed out, he was carried off in a stretcher as even after he''d been thawed out and removed from the ice, he was still shivering from the bone-deep coldness.


    Everyone looked at Todoroki who slowly walked off the stage in her sulky attitude she''d had for most of this competition.


    Hayato knew why she was being like this and he couldn''t help for either Izuku to help her like he originally did in the Anime or for he himself to do something to help her.


    Anyway, U.A enlisted the help of Endeavor to melt and evaporate the rest of the ice and water on the Platform so they could carry on with the tournament. Taking it as a way to personally show his daughter how much better his fire quirk is than her mother''s ice quirk, Endeavor blasted the giant iceberg with a massive storm of fire.


    Surprisingly, despite the size of the fire storm, no one was hurt by it.


    After the ice was melted down to nothing and the water was then evaporated so the stadium and platform were as dry as they could be, the matches carried on. All of this didn''t take too long, much shorter than if they had any else other than Endeavor help, that''s for sure.


    "Sorry for the wait, folks, but that was one big block of ice!" Present Mic spoke to the crowd, who''d settled down after the iceberg, and told them the tournament was starting again.


    After saying this, Present Mic welcomed the next two students onto the platform.


    The students up next to fight were Denki Kaminari and Ibara Shiozaki. Hayato looked at Denki staring at Shiozaki like his heart had been struck with cupids arrow or something and couldn''t help but laugh.


    Denki seemed to somehow know this and looked in Hayato''s general direction with an embarrassed smile on his face.


    Hayato just stuck his thumbs up at him, telling him to have fun with his new-found crush.


    Shiozaki got into position and Denki tried a few lame pick-up lines on her before declaring something.


    "How about me and you go out after this?" Shiozaki seemed confused at this but Denki carried on "I''ll be happy to console you after this because this match will be over in an instant!" without waiting for her to reply or react, Denki threw his hands up in the air.


    "INDISCRIMINATE DISCHARGE 1,300,000 VOLTS!" Yellow arcs of electricity flowed around Denki as he gathered his energy to cast his super move. Shiozaki simply turned her back and her vine-like hair shot itself into the ground and expanded to make a shield for her before the vine shield detached itself from her head of hair/vines.


    The super move Denki had charged was fully done, so Denki threw his hands downwards in a throwing motion sending massive arcs of electricity in every direction but mainly in Shiozaki''s way.


    The vine shield covered the back and sides of Shiozaki''s body and took most of the brunt of Denki''s super move as it didn''t conduct any of the electricity meaning the attack didn''t affect Shiozaki in any way.


    As Denki had been channeling his power into his Quirk to carry on with his Super Move, he didn''t notice the ground cracking and the cracks appearing as if something was moving toward him but underground.If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road.     Well, he did notice them but it was too late and he couldn''t do anything about it.


    Through the cracks came an army of vines which wrapped themselves around Denki''s limbs and body before more vines wrapped around his entire body keeping him still and immobilized.


    "HE''S IMMOBILISED! THAT''S IT, FOLKS, IT WAS OVER IN AN INSTANT!" Present Mic''s yell of acknowledgment caused the crowd to go wild again.


    Denki was floating around with a dumb look on his face, showing he''d gone over his limit with his quirk and fried his brain a little bit too much and made himself into his dumb-self once again.


    Hayato got up, as did Ashido and each of them shared one more look before going separate ways and walking to their own Hallways. As fate would have it, Hayato had to go to the same hallway Izuku had come out of when he had his match.


    Just as Hayato expected, All Might was standing there in his skinny form, slightly smiling.


    "Now, I know I don''t need to reassure you out of anyone, Young Tagami, but I''m here to do it anyway." Doing his usual worn-out smile while in this form, All Might stared Hayato in the eyes and clasped his shoulder with a hand before carrying on "Good luck and make sure to show ''em how strong one of the next Symbols of Peace is!"


    Despite being confident already, hearing this from All Might, Hayato felt even more secure in his confidence for this tournament.


    Nodding his head, Hayato blasted a smile at All Might that was full of gratitude for his words.


    Walking passed All Might, Hayato went to the very edge of the tunnel he was in, waiting for his name to be called out and introduced. It didn''t take long as Present Mic soon started shouting about him.


    "UP NEXT, IT''S THE BOY WHO TOOK ON REAL VILLAINS AND USES GIANT ROBOTS AS HIS SPARRING PARTNERS! ONE OF THE STARS OF CLASS 1-A, HAYATO TAGAMI!"


    Present Mic''s introduction made Hayato a bit embarrassed but he still strode forward with his back straight and his gait full of confidence and fighting spirit. Seeing him, the crowd were going wild as they remembered him from the obstacle course and his one punch which decimated a few robots.


    Hayato even seemed to have a few fans as his enhanced hearing picked up a few chants of "HA~YA~TO~KUN!".


    But Hayato kept himself calm, not letting the cheers get to his head, so he could focus on the fight ahead of him. As he got to the stairs for the platform, Present Mic introduced Ashido as someone from the Hero Course. He didn''t expand on it much as her exploits were obviously lesser than Hayato''s.


    Standing on the platform across from each other, Hayato and Ashido both bowed and smiled at one another before Present Mic did what he did for every other match.


    "START!"


    Instantly, Ashido charged at Hayato throwing a volley of small goop balls. Hayato easily slipped passed them and pushed himself off the ground and at Ashido who was still charging at him.


    With his impressive physique, he was immediately in front of her and threw a strong punch at her gut. But as his fist was traveling through the air, Ashido seemed to have guessed this was going to happen as she contorted her body and dodged his punch giving Hayato a reminder that her innate reaction time was incredibly high.


    As she slipped to his side, Ashido dragged her fingers up Hayato''s outstretched arm, covering it in a slippery but thick goo.


    Seeing that his punch had missed and his arm was now covered in this mystery goo, Hayato pulled back by shooting off a muscle wire to the side and pulling himself away.


    When he was a distance away from her, Hayato looked at the goo. It wasn''t hardening, in fact, it was still incredibly slippery but it had the right amount of stickiness on the inside as it wouldn''t come off no matter how hard Hayato shook his hand.


    "Don''t bother trying that, Tagami-kun. I spent quite a while figuring how to go about fighting against enhancers like you and that''s the product of my thoughts! It has some fun properties~" Ashido said this as she charged at him again, her goo being a sort of lubricant on the ground for her to slide over.


    As she was charging over, Hayato tried to grab at the goo on his arm but every attempt just led to him slipping off of the goo and not being able to grip it.


    ''Damn, she really has thought about how to stop heavy hitters like me. I can''t hurt someone if my punches just slip off of them and I can''t punch hard enough to negate this as it''d hurt her real bad. Man, Ashido really can use her quirk.''


    Hayato decided to drop heavy punches out of his fighting style for a minute to avoid getting any more goo on himself. The punches were too slow and despite their power, Ashido could dodge them quite easily.


    By this point, Ashido was back in front of him again and threw another volley of small goo balls at him. This time the amount had more than doubled and as if she''d learned the way he dodged the last time she threw the volley, most of his escape routes were cut off.


    Hayato found a way passed most of the goo balls but a few still hit him on the chest and stomach.


    They didn''t seem to do anything to him other than congeal and harden on his upper top. Thinking about how to take her down, Hayato figured a throw was all he could really aim for.


    Augmenting the muscles in his legs, Hayato burst forth at Ashido and grabbed her by the collar with his hand which wasn''t covered in goo. With a high-pitched yelp, Ashido was lifted off of the ground. She stopped flailing almost instantly and instead started to cover Hayato''s hand with goo, trying to slip out of his grip.


    Unluckily for her, his grip on her collar was vice-like and none of her goo could get on his palm to help her escape.


    Hayato lifted her upward and back and got into a baseball pitcher stance before throwing her to the nearest edge with his inhuman strength.


    Another high-pitch yelp came from Ashido''s mouth as she was flung to the edge of the platform. She tried to make a wall of hardened goo to stop herself but as Hayato had put a bit of spin in his throw, her attempts at using her quirk were useless; she couldn''t focus.


    "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, HAYATO TAGAMI HAS WON!"


    Present Mic screamed out as the crowd joined him in his enthusiastic cheers.


    Hayato looked down at the goo covering his arm and saw that it was beginning to harden and lose it''s slimy and viscous consistency. Using his power on his arm, his muscles bulged and the fibers came from under his skin pushing the hardened goo off of his arm.


    Flexing his hand and arm, they felt oddly numb but he shrugged it off as he guessed it was to do with being encased in hardened slime/goo.


    Hayato started ripping the hardened goo balls off of his shirt as well. This wasn''t the brightest idea as it left him with more hole than shirt but he shrugged, not really caring at the minute and instead walked over to where a dizzy Ashido was lying down.


    When he walked over to her, she opened her eyes and saw it was Hayato and smiled.


    Hayato smiled back and offered his hand. "That was a good fight, Ashido" Hayato knew that she knew he didn''t go all out in his power, so he tried to reassure her that she did push him in his base form.


    Ashido smiled and took his hand and pulled herself up. "No need to console me, Tagami. We both promised there''d be no hard feelings, didn''t we?" Her smile was kind of blinding as Hayato looked at it, not knowing what to say. Ashido''s cheeriness obviously knew no bounds.


    Instead of saying anything he laughed and he Ashido walked over to the center where they bowed to each other and Midnight-sensei announced the winner officially.


    Ashido walked off to the seating area while Hayato walked off to get a new shirt. Weirdly, his arm continued to get more and more numb but he ignored it, figuring he''d inspect it once he got a new shirt.
