《The apocalypse happened and it was named- The system’s advent》 The past and future are one and the same Twenty years had come and gone from the time the world came to an end. During the first two years life continued on much like normal for most average people. They are all willingly ignorant of the fact that there were now people who were more or less immortal walking around like the average joe except for the fact that they hunted monsters like life was a video game and farmed gold, jewels, items, and skills. When it was no longer possible to remain ignorant then what came to be known as the great scramble started for another three years. Every last person rushed to become an immortal player as they came to be called. After 50% of the global population became players then the non-human races began to appear through enormous one way Gates that connected to their planets. It was then that humanity realized just how small of a frog they were and just how big and deep the well was. Strength became quantified by numbers and levels became the standard measurement, but that was never synonymous that those at the same level were equal. Death now resulted in a level reduction and stat point loss. The next five years consisted of hunting and obtaining strength as fast as possible, and guilds began to wage war. After a full ten years had passed then the next ten years called the consolidation began. For eight years it slowly became the norm to fight day and night in order to not fall behind and be considered the weak link. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. Dungeons were packed day and night by relentless players. The descent of what became known as world bosses took the pride that players had built up over eighteen years and shattered it. Even according to the otherworldly races the strength that humans now had was a little above average for a world at the initialization stage but the world bosses were all deemed as ridiculous existences by nearly everyone in the wider multiverse and only 1 out of 100 worlds that went through the initialization had to suffer it. For two years humanity got their asses beat by them. Then the unthinkable happened. The chance to start over appeared. It was called the Reset Obelisque. It would allow you to be sent back to level 1 with all ailments, curses, skills, abilities, powers, and statuses removed. But it also allowed one other option, True Death. If you chose to reset you would essentially be a normal human again, and it had been proven that only those below level 10 could have children. It was said that that was because level 10 was when your body stopped being judged by ¡®normal human¡¯ standards. This is where our story shall begin. Prologue- Preparations Gasp. He lurched awake reaching for his weapon and trying to find the enemy. As soon as he looked around he froze then said with confusion. ¡°Wait where the hell is this.¡± He was in an unfamiliar room with clothes and papers laying everywhere. He quickly calmed and thought back to his last memories. He remembered waking up yesterday and turning all his gear in to the guild then going to the reset obelisque and picking to reset. He remembered looking down as his body seemed fade into smoke like when you got the death penalty. Quickly his eyes flashed open and landed on a picture on the wall. It was of his parents and him at his graduation ceremony. The advent had all started while he was in college, and he remembered being one of those who scrambled when it came to light because he wanted to become an immortal. He grabbed his cell phone and when he looked at the date it was exactly one year before the apocalypse started and almost four years till he officially became a player. With a manic grin he started chuckling then giggling and finally into full blown mad man type laughter. People three doors down from his dormitory woke and shivered before covering there ears or going back to studying. When he finally calmed down he grabbed a pen and a notebook and immediately started making plans. First was that he needed to track down an old friend who had saved his life so many times he had lost count. Then he made a kill list of people that actively tried to drive humanity to the brink during the transition days. Then he made a list and notes of every notable piece of information he had heard of whether it was people, places, events, items, or even major rumors about certain things. Foremost among them was the shattered armor of Marut, this armor was the pinnacle for all Mage-type armors and even though its actual stats were never revealed it became well known when its wearer was the last one standing against a world boss even though as a general rule mages and other magic casters had comparatively low health and he never specialized into any kind of magic and it was theorized that this was because of him armor. As for weapons there was simply too many to choose and he could only go barehanded until he found something suitable, but seeing as how he was going to be a mage anyway it wasn¡¯t an insurmountable problem. He continued for almost six hours when the sun started to lighten the area. Luckily for him his parents were filthy fucking rich so he didn¡¯t have to worry about money but that would be his first stumbling block was getting them on board and willing to listen. Unfortunately they were as stubborn as he was so it was going to take something drastic. He booked a flight for three hours from now then grabbed a shower and a taxi. He spoke as little as possible and paid with his card, again from his parents. He remembered how his dad had started a small company that catered to immortals after the advent and made it successful through sheer grit and stubbornness. He let all the memories and tears flow as he broke down in silence. He was never much good at anything as a mortal and was frankly a piece of shit before the advent. His attitude was reckless and brash and gave no fucks for the consequences of his actions. He was basically your typical young master in two bit novel. He did what he wanted when he wanted and avenged every slight no matter how small. He gave no forgiveness to anyone and always went to far, he was as despicable as they came and eventually he paid for it. Eventually he was captured and tortured then degraded and humiliated as his so called ¡®friends¡¯ stood by and laughed on the side lines. He ended up alone and helpless and deserved nothing less. The only two things he can say was that it successfully woke him up well and good and that he changed drastically for the better. After nearly a year of simply wandering like a dead man he made a choice and found each and every family he could ever remember that he wronged in some way and spent the next eight years atoning for his sins. Eventually he joined a second rate guild and one day challenged a world boss. They lost horribly and most were captured never to be seen again. Only a bare handful escaped but they were all targeted after that by the vultures that swooped in to pick the bones clean. Even his family was targeted and before his eyes his mother and two sisters were raped then tortured repeatedly. His father and him were forced to watch and hear them cry out for them while they were powerless. It was a scene that would have fit in perfectly in Helsing. Thus over half the people on his kill list was a part of that. He never expected to go back in time like this seeing as how it wasn¡¯t supposed to be even possible, but without fail he was going to make the most of it. Finally the plane landed and he quickly grabbed a taxi to his parents house. He had called ahead on his way to the airport and asked his dad to get everyone together saying it concerned the future of everyone in the family, be they young or old. Sure enough the driveway and garage were both full so he walked from the gate. Before he got half way across the lawn the door was thrown open and his aunt who couldn¡¯t even stand the sight of him stood there with a look of disgust. He clearly new why she looked like that and couldn¡¯t help but let a tear go down his cheek. She looked utterly confused and hesitant when he stopped and kneeled about a foot from her. ¡°I can never apologize enough and I can only ask for a chance to repent.¡± His aunt was from the more ¡®civilized¡¯ side that lived and managed all our japanese businesses and so he kowtowed three times. When he stood there was a blood splatter mark where his head hit the cement and a trickle flowed from the broken skin down his nose. He felt her lift him up and so he stood and looked her in the eye. During the awakening he had heard that she was born with the passive skill called ¡®soul sight¡¯ that allowed for her to feel the essence of a soul to a certain extent. Her confusion only deepened as she said ¡°Impossible. Your soul is like a fifty year old man, not a twenty year old kid. But it''s still the same soul as when you were a child but....¡± She trailed off as he put a hand on her cheek, ¡°Aunty, I will explain later but I bring dire knew that the family needs to know. We will talk later after I have told what I must.¡± He gently pushed her inside and walked towards the living room where there was a general mutter of discontent and anger. As soon as he walked in every eye turned to him and a few scathing remarks appeared as expected. ¡°Whelp what god given right do you seem to think you have that allows you to call us all here and arrive last, huh.¡± That was his uncle Jake who owned his own gym and fitness center complex and several several sports pharmacies. He stuttered when he noticed the blood running down his face Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings. Most of his family had few good things to say about him and he had done little to earn them. Taking advantage of their confusion he walked to the front and stood before them then said ¡°My family I bring dire news that will either be our salvation or our downfall. But first I have something is eighteen years overdue.¡± So saying he shocked them all yet again by doing a first and repeating his earlier words and actions with the only difference being the impact rattled loose dishes off the table. It was a pin drop silence. Even his youngest nieces and nephews were old enough to know just how rotten his character used to be. Finally after nearly thirty seconds there was a creak and his great grandma slowly made her way to stand in front of him. ¡°You know your wrongs.¡± It was a statement rather than a question but he answered anyway. ¡°Yes Grammy.¡± All the adults teared up then since he hadn¡¯t said those words since he was just learning to walk and talk. Grammy was his first word as well. He stood when the cane tapped his shoulders. There was already both a bruise and a cut now overlapping most of his forehead. He could only cry silently and murmur ¡®I¡¯m sorry¡¯ over and over again as he hugged his grandma like he used to as a kid. Finally he said loud enough for all to hear ¡°Grammy I need to ask to bring out Shikar.¡± She instantly stiffened and looked at him incredulously. ¡°It¡¯s the only way. What I¡¯m about to say cannot be confirmed otherwise.¡± Slowly she nodded. In all the world what most people don¡¯t realize is that espers, magic, and myth were all as tangible as they were once but had simply hidden themselves since they didn¡¯t want to be interfere or interfere with humans. His grandma was born prophetess and in her youth she was a soldier which was given a ceremonial knife. This knife worked in tandem with and amplified her foresight powers so that the more restrictions they placed the more powerful it was and if the user broke one of the restrictions then it would instantly pierce their brain. When his aunt brought the knife that looked no different than a typical K-Bar, he cut open his sleeve and ran a gash from a little below his inner elbow, between his veins to his wrist. He put the knife in his blood and said ¡°Activate Shikar.¡± The knife shivered then drank the blood greedily. Finally it jerked began to float in front of him, pointed between his eyes. ¡°I Jacob Mathew Dawn do so hereby swear that one: if any of my words for the next twenty four hours be false, two: If any of my stated predictions have any chance of failure or being prevented to come to pass, three: If my information is not trustworthy then I hereby consign by life to be forfeit and my soul to be surrendered.¡± Everyone had completely bloodless faces except the kids who were below eighteen who didn¡¯t understand what he had just put on the line. His father¡¯s face was grim and his mother was close to having a panic attack. It had taken him about eight hours to get here but even so he chose his words carefully. ¡°The world is going to end at exactly twelve o¡¯clock AM on January first of 2031.¡± Several jumped up as they expected him to be pierced but could only collapse in dumb shock when the dagger merely shivered like it was trembling as it listened. ¡°Some of you may have read fantasy novels or played video games and this ending will be similar. It will later be called by most as the Systems Advent. It is going to reintroduce mana to humans and the earth and the world as we know it will cease to exist and instead it will be a union between reality and fantasy. Not all the laws of existence will change but human anatomy and the laws of physics will be bent in new directions. Mages, Warriors, paladins, gods, devils, and monster¡¯s will all make an appearance. At first humans will turn a blind eye this and pass it off as mass hysteria or some other form of daydreams or some such. I can tell you that this is false. The system never lies, but how you interpret it is up to you.¡± He continued for almost four hours as everyone present slowly got over their shock and actually listened to everything he said. He told them everything from the best ways to benefit as much as possible to which classes he knew and the importance of picking a class that suited you rather than one that simply seemed powerful at first glance. He taught them nearly all of what he knew from how to level up quickly to recipes for potions that wrote down. The details of unique things like the armor of Marut and a few other he kept to himself but everything they could all use was laid bear. He answered questions of the few that had them and left off with one last thing. ¡°Remember that eternal youth doesn¡¯t mean eternal happiness. There are things that are far more important but the bottom line is that strength is the requirement to live for your own ideals instead of under someone else''s.¡± With that he finally sat down and had a drink that his dad had left untouched in front of him. One thing he could say about his family is that they new how to roll with their punches. Already there was no doubt in anyone¡¯s mind about the truth of his words thanks to the dagger, and now they were all making contingency plans and throwing Ideas around. His mother finally broke off the conversation and grabbed him and his Dad before moving to another room. When the door shut she turned and finally said ¡°Are you really my son.¡± ¡°Yes.¡± ¡°Why are you so different.¡± ¡°Because my soul was sent back from the future.¡± and so on until they were both satisfied that it was simply the version of their son who had seen the light and decided on a different path. This was the point he told about the regime everyone needed to start which mostly consisted of martial arts, self defense, melee weapons handling, and fitness. He then wrote down location names and direction of dungeons that he was going to unveil as soon as the system started integration so they could be ready to take control of them and buy the land so that they would have at least a two years head start before shit hit the fan. He also warned them not to be cheap since money would be worthless after about four years and everything would be bought and sold with bronze, silver, gold, mithril, and adamant coins. Above those were bars which were worth ten of the higher currency and a hundred of the former. So a bronze bar would be worth one hundred bronze coins, ten silver coins or one gold coin. But since those were almost always used for forging and smelting he didn¡¯t mention them. He slowly walked around and made sure everyone was alright and beginning their preparations. For the next year he trained his body to the limit with martial arts masters and weapons experts until finally they gathered all together again and he gave the location of the first of the obelisks. Chapter one- Jump start and beginner skills They all hopped on the families private jet and within the hour they were in the air headed towards the original ¡®Immortals Gate¡¯. It was the first gate to ever appear so after a while it became common knowledge and was actually a fairly popular tourist destination. It would take quite some time to get there wo he took a very well deserved nap while surrounded in chattering family with his nephews treating him like a jungle gym. When he woke up several hours later they were landing in egypt next to the giza pyramids. The first to ever appear did so at the very peak of the tallest Giza pyramid. They had about three hours to spare before it appeared so he just led the way and listened to the family bickering with a soft smile. All their closest friends were with them as well so they looked like a mob going up the pyramid. They had a lot of kids around eighteen or so but due to the last year they were all in great shape so the trip was very quick. When they finally reached the top everyone was breathing heavy with their jackets zipped open. What they planned was two waves, one for the family and their most trusted and life long friends then the other for theirs guards and the most trusted business associates- with a hefty price of course. He checked his phone and took a head count then lined everybody up and marked with chalk. It was now 11:57 so he answered one last round of questions and with two seconds left he ran and jumped right as it materialized in a flash of white light then he was through the gate. *Congratulations- for being the first Immortal on the planet designated as Tera and breaking the current world record by 3 days 12 hours 14 minutes 30.43680001 seconds you have a choice of reward. He frowned and recalled that no one actually new who was the very first one to become immortal. Most likely they had hidden it exactly because the reward was that valuable. *Please choose one of the following. -Physique Boost: Ability to learn any defense skill -Stamina Boost: Ability to learn any melee skill -Magic Boost: Ability to learn any magic skill He did his own little fist pump, complete with victory dance. This was exactly what he needed. Since he was planning on going the Path of Magic then his biggest concern would always be his ability to learn the skill and if he had the mana to cast it, but with this he could even learn class restricted skills. Without any hesitation he chose the magic boost. *Immortality transformation 1% *Immortality transformation 20% *Immortality transformation 50% *Immortality transformation 92% *Immortality transformation 100% *Immortality transformation complete now beginning relocation to place of residence A strong suction began pulling at him and suddenly he was on the front lawn of the families house. From nearest guess the transformation took about three days so his first words were of course ¡°Show Status.¡± [Name: Jacob Dawn Level: 0 (Fully Human) Deaths: 0 Titles: First among Immortals (0.00000001 sec.) (Highest on record) Hp: 2500/2500 MP: 2700/2700 Strength: 15 Agility: 20 Vitality:25 Willpower: 50 Intelligence 27 Stat points: 0 Fatigue: 0 Class: Mage Profession: None ] It was no quite over simplified compared to what it was before but it was still quite satisfactory compared to most, not including his family of course. All together they would probably be considered a family of monsters. Stat points were gained every time you leveled up but skill points could only be earned every 25 levels and you only got one. Each skill took a minimum of one skill point and the most expensive to date cost 57, however that skill was never learned by anyone as far as he knew and from what he heard it was on the same level as multiple nuclear warheads. Ding *For being the first Immortal in your world and for breaking the previous record you will receive a bonus of 20 skill points and one personalized skill for each day, one 50% off coupon for each hour, 1 death redemption stone for each minuete, and +100 to each stat for each second that you broke the record by. Note: The skills and stats will be lost once someone breaks your record. He could only stare in shock at the notification which just said he was now essentially the same as an overall level fifteen hundred in stat points alone. Small wonder no one ever came forward and said they were the first, with bonuses like these it was hard to imagine why they would since they were pretty much entirely self sufficient. From the outside it looked like his skin was imitating a sea shore but there was no pain and only the feeling of power that was surging in his body. It was at that point that he saw a countdown in the corner of the notification turned red and hit zero. He felt his consciousness pulled away and found himself in a white room with only what looked like a carbon copy of himself standing ten feet in front of him. ¡°Well then let¡¯s get started.¡± the voice was his own and it sounded out like it right next to his ear and the figure in front vanished like it was never there. He knew what was happening since it happened every time someone surpassed 100 intelligence and awakened their innate mana. There were other ways to do it but chance to awaken your own affinity and be awarded your personalized spell was one of the reasons why the profession had such a low number of practitioners in the first place. This was because mages were so squishy and couldn¡¯t do enough damage at low levels to justify the experience drain when they were in a party. He went on autopilot as the pure truth seemed to flow out of him at each question. ¡°What is magic to me?¡± ¡°Power. The power to protect and destroy as I see fit, the power to control my own life and destiny and decide the path I will walk to achieve my dreams.¡± ¡°What kind of thing is Magic to me?¡± ¡°It is a shining star. Unreachable magnificence and unquestioned strength, It is the light that illuminates the hearts of men and monster alike. It is fire and ice, lightning and earthquakes, It the raging waves of destiny that decide the fate of men.¡± If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. ¡°What do I seek from magic?¡± ¡°The strength to live and fight. The ability to earn my right to exist. I seek the strength to protect those dear and destroy those I cannot abide. Like the frozen north I seek the strength to control my own destiny, be it right or wrong it will be the path I choose myself.¡± ¡°What do I wish to be?¡± He smiled and said ¡°I wish to be a star, when all else falls short I wish to be the star that kindles the hope of all. I wish to be the star that shines the brightest in the dark and shines the light of hope on all who have the heart to stand again but lack the strength to do so. I wish to be the beacon that all shall rally to when the night threatens to consume all light.¡± ¡°Such lofty Ideals don¡¯t suit me.¡± ¡°Yes. But that is who I wish to be.¡± The surrounding light all seemed to be sucked towards him and he spiraled back into a comfortable darkness. When he finally woke up he was still lying in the grass but there was noise from inside the house. He decided they could wait just a little more and opened his stat page to see what they were at now. [Name: Jacob Dawn Level: 0 Deaths: 0 EXP: 0% Titles: First among Immortals (0.00000001 sec.) (Highest on record) Hp: 302,500/302,500 MP: 302,700/302,700 Strength: 3,015 Agility: 3,020 Vitality: 3,025 Willpower: 3,050 Intelligence: 3,027 Stat points: 0 Fatigue: 1% Class: Mage Profession: None Spells: (Overcharge, Multicast, Transcendental meditation) Frigid Beam] He focused on each of them to bring up their descriptions. *Overcharge- the ability to pump an unlimited amount of mana into a spell at double the spells initial cost. Tier 10 *Multicast- the ability to simultaneously cast any number of spells of any rank as long as total intelligence equals 1,000 points per simultaneous cast. Tier 8 *Transcendental meditation- The ability to designate 1,000 intelligence to full meditation and remove all upper and lower limitations. Rank depends entirely on the visualization on the first attempt. *Frigid Beam- Fire a beam of hyper compressed and supercooled water a single target. Cost 50 MP per second This time his smile was entirely predatory. For any beginning mage this spell would be next to useless because it would drain their entire mana pool in three or four seconds and they would have to spend the next several minutes standing around just for it to recharge, but for him he could cast it practically indefinitely. He quickly confirmed it all then picked up the bundle of twelve shimmering golden tickets and small squares of crystal that were laying next to him and put it in his pocket before heading toward the front door. He opened it and was welcomed by his nephews running questions like a machine gun. He laughed and sent them outside to play while he talked with the adults. Everyone was sitting in the living room watching the news and discussing how oblivious the people were and whether or not they should leak the word. He quickly said that was a bad Idea. So far they had two years to prepare and get ready for the mad rush when they all tried to become players but if they spread the word then it would just be like shooting themselves in the foot. At any rate they had plenty of time to spread the word when they themselves were completely ready for the fallout. After discussing for a while he said he was planning to go to the players store that was now in Chicago since it was the nearest one and they were only on the outskirts. He quickly got in the car and headed there. He was almost jittery in excitement since he was essentially going to buy a bunch of spells for nothing. He fully planned on buying six high level spells for free, even though it would probably piss of their manager he was totally willing to cut a deal for it. When pulled up on the other side of the road from it he cut the engine and in less than a second he was at the entrance. One good thing about the system was you always had full control over your body even when you were like him and just got an immense boost to your stats. When he walked in there were three people walking around doing various things and everyone of them froze like a rabbit that had seen a wolf when there eyes landed on him. One of them hit a button on the desk that would alert the manager and he sighed even though he had expected this. As he walked up to the counter he pulled up the panel to view their high level spells. There are hundreds to choose from in every category so he narrowed it down to tier seven and above. Since his unique spell were all utility or boosting abilities he went to their attack magic and picked out a few that he knew of or liked from their description. *Water Healing, Frozen Forest, Ice field, Perma frost armor, Frost aura, Ice prison *Gale speed, Vortex, Maelstrom, Compression blade, Flight, Wind domain *Flame burst, Fire pillar, Burning domain, Firestorm, Flame Drill, Armageddon *Diamond armor, Granite rampart, earthquake, Stone forest, Boulder launch, oil field After debating the pros and cons of each spell that he could foresee since he would be in dungeons most of the time he wouldn¡¯t find to much use for say stone forest but the ice prison on the other hand would be good for tying down single and strong opponents. The problem was that most of these would be one shot all or nothings and he would be totally out of mana. With a sigh he scaled it back look at the Tier four water spells. *Greater water regeneration, Icy lance, Ice barrier, chilling aura, Frozen shackles, Explosive ice shard, greater water blade, Water beam, Rainstorm, Ice barrage, Ice disc. With a grin he grabbed the Greater water regeneration, Icy lance, frozen shackles, and rainstorm. Then he toggled over to tier ten utility spells and grabbed the Tier 10 version of the mana barrier that every mage had called Ultimate mana fortress. The only difference between this spell and other mana barrier spells was that it essentially created a barrier of each element type and layered them together with an additional physical shield as well. At its base if he learned it and pumped it with all 300,000 of his mana it would absorb 3,000,000 points of damage total. He then went to items and chose their highest capacity Inventory which had 250 slots. Quickly he took out all twelve tickets and put them in front of the dumbstruck receptionist. He actually had to knock on the desk before she snapped out of it. ¡°Hello, anyone home.¡± and snap, she snapped back to the present so fast it was almost audible. As she left to go get his skill books he turned and leaned on the counter as he faced the head honcho of this store. She weighed in at probably no more than two hundred because even threw her clothes you could see the rigid layers of muscle beneath. Normally that would be unattractive in a woman but her laissez faire expression somehow made it quite erotic. He made no attempt to hide his appraisal but didn¡¯t stare or even let his eyes linger. To a warrior like her it was an insult not to admire the result of countless hundreds of hours of grueling training in hellish conditions. She was built like a martial artist but her very pointed ears gave her away as well as her almost black skin. He stood up straight and punched his right fist into his left palm then bowed to thirty degrees very slowly while he cocked his head to the right to expose his throat. The woman''s eyes were filled with total shock and the companion behind her involuntarily let out something between a gag and a gasp while he kept his eyes locked with the woman. Formerly he had gotten lost in a high level labyrinth type dungeon and fell in with a party of drow nobles who had just recently arrived and decided to attempt the dungeon. Altogether they spent nearly three months in that place before they figured out the trick to summoning the boss, most of the time they thought it was hilarious to teach him the language and customs of the high courts and it was a great time waster so he eventually ended up memorizing it out of sheer boredom. Finally the woman seemed to shake herself and repeated the actions like a mirror then three seconds after that she spoke in the language of the drow, ¡°May the mountain shelter you,¡± Her voice is like deep melody he thought then he replied ¡°May the shadow embrace you,¡±. If her eyes could get any wider they would literally fall out of her face he thought, then they both said in tandem ¡°And may the earth hold your glorious last breath.¡± Then they both straightened and he walked over to poor desk clerk who was frozen in a side doorway. The poor girl looked like all her common sense was totally shattered. The tickets were still on the desk so he took the Inventory and books then bit his finger and bound the cube like inventory with blood and put the books and crystals inside then willed it away. It would now only appear when he wanted to add something to it. He then returned to the manager whose jaw was in danger of hitting the floor and said ¡°Perhaps you would like to speak in your office?¡± She visibly shook herself this time and motioned for him to follow before leading the way up three flights of stairs in a daze. Chapter 2- Meet the manager and begin dungeon diving When they reached the office she couldn¡¯t help but loosely wave to a couch while the assistant went to make tea. As she opened her mouth he held one hand and said ¡°Miss Manager I feel I need to tell you that you will need to discard quite a lot of common sense while we talk or we will be here for a very long time. And the only advice I can give you is just to roll with it and discard common sense for the time we talk.¡± She looked surprised, then confused, then pensive as she took in his words. With a nod she said ¡°Thanks for the advice and for that I¡¯ll just straight up ask. Do you know of the ranking game amongst the store managers?¡± ¡°Yes.¡± ¡°So do you know of the point system?¡± ¡°Not the details.¡± ¡°Ok, I¡¯ll start from there. The short version is that the different worlds super powers send their whelps, rejects, or otherwise unwanted to participate in what¡¯s called the game of beginners because it is literally impossible to lose more than when you started. The rankings are decided by the power of those who buy and sell here. If someone is truly strong then they will obviously buy and sell more powerful and therefore expensive things which in turn grant the manager of that particular store a number of points that the system decides is worth it. Naturally the profits will go to the manager who oversees all of that. Doing what you just did essentially catapulted me from rank 81 to rank 33. In order to continue this trend I would like to ask you to buy and sell only to this store, i¡¯m willing to listen to your terms.¡± ¡°I want a VIP membership, and my family gets a ten percent membership, all of them.¡± ¡°Deal.¡± They shook hands and both let out a sigh. He loved dealing with blunt and honest people like this woman because he absolutely hated politics and bureaucratic red tape. That¡¯s not to say he couldn¡¯t do it but simply that he hated it beyond all reason. After that they simply sat and enjoyed the tea for a while. Eventually he noticed a fevered and flushed look on the manager and her assistants face while their legs seemed to quiver ever so slightly. After a few seconds he remembered one of the more dominant features of the dark elves, they were uncontrollably attracted to those who were very strong regardless of level and the biggest factor was basic stat points. He remembered once that one of the strongest figures in his previous life was forced to buy a scanning ability just so he could avoid dark elves entirely because his unique skill gave him a certain number of free base stat points per day. Eventually Those points stacked up and he became a shit load stronger than his level indicated which sent every dark elf woman in the city into a state similar cat¡¯s in heat with him smelling like truckload of catnip. That man was also known as a world class recluse so this posed no end of trouble to him. Luckily it would still be five years before he had to worry about that kind of scale and he was far from a prudish man. Seeing that there was no escape with any politeness he simply moved the table out of the way and before the manager could jump him he stopped her with a finger between her eyes which of course made her go cross eyed and looked absolutely sexy. Knowing her mentality as a warrior he decided to reverse rolls for a bit and sat on her lap facing her with a hand on her ching which guided her mouth to his. As if the dam gates had collapsed she began trying to devour his lips through force of effort alone until she forcibly ripped off her suit and gently slid his shirt off, then their pants soon followed. She was constantly running a stream she so wet but he forced her to sit back down and pleasured her first. He knew from the source how hard it was for warrior women of any race to get laid so he intended to make a simply unforgettable impression. After only only a few minutes she was writhing and squirming for release but every time he could feel her reach that peak he stopped and prolonged it. The blissful torture didn¡¯t last long as he would have had physically fight his head out of her hands so he took her up, up, and way over her climax as she screamed loud and long from the release. Even with his enhanced stats he nearly suffocated before she went bonelessly limp. Before he could even stand he was tackled by there very patient bystander who had somehow managed to control herself well enough to just watch until now. Now it was the assistants turn but she pegged him as the opposite type from the manager and loved it hard and fast, so he did with a resounding success. He first flipped her back onto the couch he had sat on before and sealed her lips with his as he mauled her breast and pounded her like a jackhammer which nearly broke the couch. She lasted a lot longer due to her probably being both more experienced in sex and less thirsty. Soon she had got in the rhythm too and thanks to his enhanced stats they kept going for nearly an hour before they both came in such a mind blowing orgasm they both collapsed for a moment before he pulled himself up. Fortunately his task had just begun because the manager was once again looking at him with a heated gaze and said ¡°Now it¡¯s your turn, so lay down.¡± He gladly did and for a time they made love until they got progressively more vigorous and climaxed together. After a while of cuddling with them both they all almost unanimously got up and got dressed again. The smell was taken care of with a spell then the only thing left was there flushed faces and satisfied looks. But there was nothing for that, and out they went. In the first place he had a lot of work to do starting tomorrow after he had tested out the spells he just acquired. He quickly left the store completely unaware of the rumor that would soon be spread among the women staff members of store number 44. The story went that the first player ever had waltzed in with 20 of the highest level discount tickets that should only drop from tier seven and over dungeon bosses and bested the manager first in the arena then the bed and walked without so much as stiff muscles. ¡®Unfortunately¡¯ no one could see his face other that the manager and the head secretary because of the aura he was unconsciously emitting acted like a heatwave mirage to the magically sensitive elves and dark elves. He grabbed the car and headed for the Millenium park. Their basement was the entrance to a mid-grade dungeon but since the dungeons and field monsters both only appeared after the first year he simply had to break the barrier that hid it. He already had discussed it with the family and their construction firm was doing ¡®renovation¡¯ of the silver dome. All that was left was now to use his new found skills and go dungeon diving. Granted the dungeon was meant for those of level one thousand to two thousand but with his kit he had no doubt that he would be perfectly fine, and not to mention that the experience he would get would catapult him at least a hundred to two hundred times greater than normal after he cleared the dungeon due to the level gap. Unlike with with field monsters who gave you experience as soon as you killed them the dungeons only awarded the experience after you left or beat the final boss. Items and loot though dropped as usual, luckily he had his inventory which would automatically absorb any items from monsters he killed. Unfortunately only the highest level of the inventory box had the auto loot function. In his previous life he never had enough money to buy one since they cost over twenty billion gold pieces apiece. Just thinking about that amount made him shudder. On an average adventurers income it would take at least five years to earn that much and if you factory in repair fees, potions, healing, and other such expenses then most would take at least ten to fifteen years. And that wasn¡¯t even including equipment upgrades and skill costs. He pulled himself out of his musings and showed his ID to be allowed into the ¡®construction worker¡¯ area. ¡°Welcome back young master.¡± He nodded in acknowledgement and parked with the rest of the vehicles. He grabbed a hard hat and a clipboard so he wouldn¡¯t look too out of place and walked in the main entrance while randomly asking questions and gesturing for the benefit of anyone who might be watching. Soon he stepped inside and handed it to the guard waiting inside for him dressed like a construction worker except with a kevlar vest and a few hidden weapons. Soon enough he made it to the basement door and was stopped by a formless barrier that covered about six inches around the door. He nodded and a semi transparent soundproof wall was raised about tenn feet from the door. He activated his meditation and felt like his mind split into three different trains of thought. He focused on one then envisioned all the information and principles he had been able to study about black holes. He envisioned that he was the epicenter of it and was drawing in the mana molecules no different than it. With a ding he heard the alert tone and read. *Rank and effectiveness of Transcendental Meditation has been confirmed at Tier 9. Regeneration rate now boosted 900% per level of this skill. Current level 1. Skill understanding exceeds current vesel limits. Calculating excess....... *Skill level will automatically be raised by one every 1,000 personal levels until understanding has equalized with vessel rank. He wasn¡¯t really surprised since his knowledge on black holes and the underlying principles was gained mostly from humanities leading geniuses on the subject thanks to his family''s wealth. The rank and such was a massive boost and the single best he had ever heard of even in his previous life since the vast majority of meditation techniques above rank 3 usually led to the founding of magic schools and guilds or in china and japan''s case then sects. The leading mage academy in the world was only rank eight and that was from a nuclear fission researcher from kentucky if he remembered right. Now with one third of his head taken up he cast Frigid beam and multicast. What looked like two ritual circles appeared then two beams of what he could only relate to and Diablo 3¡¯s wizard spell called ray of frost shot out of it. He quickly saw that his mana wasn¡¯t even depleting so he used his passive skill and kept overcharging his spell until it equaled out with his regeneration and his mana hovering at 75%. By now he could hardly relate them to what they were before because while their size didn¡¯t change they now looked closer to blue lasers than anything else. Just looked at them gave you a sense that your blood was starting to freeze. He was keeping the temperature equal by tightly containing the area of the spell but it came at the expense of concentration, otherwise this place would look like the Ice witches palace from wizard of oz. After about thirty seconds he heard a crack and immediately cut the spell and released his meditation. Despite his best efforts a path of small ice crystal pillars was now formed between where he was standing and the barrier which now had a spiderweb of cracks on it which made it look like cracks in space since the barrier was completely invisible to the naked eye. Stolen novel; please report. He took a fighters stance and started pounding on where the barrier looked weakest. With every blow the cracks enlarged since his body was in no way comparable to a humans anymore. If he wanted he could now do bench presses with a tank. Compared to his magic though it was still quite lacking thanks to his mid tier spells. To a normal person it seemed like his shirt sleeves just spontaneously shredded and the space in front of him exploded like glass. Their senses just couldn¡¯t even begin to grasp his movements. After only a fraction of a second he had hit dozens of times and an ear splitting crack followed. The barrier had broken to reveal an archaic double door that looked like it belonged in a mummy movie that depicted all sorts of skeletons, ghouls, and other other undead types. ¡°Hello old friend.¡± he said as he gently caressed the door. This was where he had spent several years getting stronger in his last life. He knew every turn and secret room like the back of his hand and every monster like an old rival. With a smile he waved for the barriers to be lowered and the head of security walked over. ¡°Where are the supplies?¡± He pointed to a series of crates stacked in the corner as he said ¡°All the items you requested are there. Three years worth of various foods and cooking implements, a hundred sets of clothes made of carbon fiber made for heavy battle and wear the another two hundred sets of casual clothes, a dozen pairs of combat boots and sneakers, then several hundred books on physics, history and various other topics.¡± They walked over and he nodded when he saw that everything was labeled and packed together. The boots and clothes were in one box, the food in another, then the cooking implements, then the battle clothes, then camping supplies like tents, bedrolls, a propane heater and such. Since they were all in their own boxes they only took up one inventory slot each. ¡°You have been briefed that absolutely no one can know of this even if it costs blood. In the event of children or coincidence then contact my father immediately. ¡° With everything done here immediately entered the door to the mid rank dungeon [Tomb of the lost kings]. It consisted of nine floors with the enemies jumping one hundred levels each floor and changing rank the further you went. The first floor was populated by shambling dead and was about the size of yellowstone national parker. The first ones he saw looked like your typical walking dead type zombie but one ice lance to the head took care of it. He grinned and took off at a sprint that wouldn¡¯t lose to a high end sports car. He segmented his mind so that one focused on not running into walls, one focused on mapping out the floor and one focused on aiming the Ice lance. It ended up as him just basically spraying Ice lances into any groups he came across and using the brain that had been targeting their heads to meditate instead. After nearly two months he had completely cleared out the floor and mapped it. On the second floor was ¡®weak soldier¡¯ undead then ¡®soldier¡¯ on floor three. Floor four was ¡®elite undead soldier¡¯s¡¯ then ¡®undead ghouls¡¯ and elite ghouls on five and six, seven was where it got significantly different and instead of a maze set up it was an enormous colosseum with a literal army of undead of all kinds in formation. To make it worse they were led by the boss monster, ¡°Elite Revenant General, Tarkus¡± It took him nearly a year and a half to get to this point and he only had six months left since he wanted to clear the dungeon before the rush to become a player started. He stopped at the entrance to the level and quickly charged his charged his barrier for the first time since he entered then activated Greater regeneration. Compared with his monstrous Regeneration the upkeep was almost negligible even if he over charged it. He then activated his meditation and multicast with Frigid beam on a hair trigger. As soon as he stepped in the arena the undead all rushed at him and he first cast a rainstorm then Frozen Shackles which halted them all in place with nearly a hundred feet between the closest of them and him. He let loose with the same overcharged Frigid beam that he used to break the barrier over the entrance. Within ten seconds there was only the sounds of shattering ice left to be heard as the former undead and now ice sculptures exploded one by one. The boss was on a raised platform directly opposite him in the arena and contrary to his expectation instead of immediately rushing him through the crowd of his frozen army he jumped. Since he had never heard of this happening before he was few seconds slow responding. In that time he hit like a meteor and his shield was instantly riddled with cracks. Due to the unnatural speed and strength he concluded it was a skill that he possessed in life. With no time to spare instantly overcharged Frost shackled then jumped away and started bombarding him with frigid beams. Due to the rainstorm boosting the effects of his ice magic the boss was soon encased and couldn¡¯t move. He walked behind the boss and overcharged an Ice lance with all three hundred thousand of his mana. It was now more accurate to call it an Ice pillar since it was about ten feet long and three feet wide before it tapered off to a tip on one end. He paused then went back around to the front as he bowed to the warrior. It might have been his imagination but he thought he saw gratitude in its eyes. Without a word he launched the spell through his chest. As its HP finally drained it shattered and in its place was a tier six ring, three books and a pair of tier five boots. *Ring of fallen Pride- This ring was once the pride and joy of a distinguished general who received it from his king and later gave his life to protecting his country. One day that knight was abandoned by his king. Surrounded by enemies and gravely wounded he used his final forbidden art to annihilate the invading army. This ring is a symbol of that nights crushed pride. Strength +100, Vitality +300, Backstab damage is reduces by 60%. *General¡¯s Ass kicker¡¯s- These boots were once worn by a powerful general that was equally feared and respected by his troops. These boots have been through many a battlefield and kicked countless soldiers into shape. Vitality +200 Agility +200 Reduce fatigue buildup by 25% *General¡¯s Mighty Bone armor- This is the spell personally created by an undead general with great skill in mana manipulation. This spell creates a layer of outer armor that will be summoned over any existing armor. The shape size, density and thickness is all determined by the caster¡¯s regeneration rate and class. Tier 1 (Scaling off set and caster) *Aura Control- this ability allows the user to consciously erase or magnify the aura that others perceive from them to a certain extent. Tier 2 * Mana Projection- this ability is always active and replaces the user¡¯s aura with withe their mana radiation and allows the manipulation of it according to the users will to a certain extent. This ability overrides all other lower ranked aura skills. Tier 4 This was one of the best things about dungeons and the reason why everyone was crazy about them, Personalized rewards. The number and quality of rewards greatly depended on the number and professions of those that cleared its bosses. For example, since he was alone and a mage then he got spell type skill books and they were all suited more or less to be useful to him specifically more than others. And their base power was far stronger than normal since he was alone. He wore the equipement then learned the armor and projection spell. The aura control went into his inventory which still didn¡¯t have much besides gold and his greatly diminished supplies. The rate he went through food was a lot faster than normal since he was literally running and fighting constantly for the last year and a half so he now only had maybe another six months remaining. The eighth floor was the same only it had seven bosses that wouldn¡¯t lose out to the general called the seven royal guards instead of an army and they all came out at once. To most this would still be an impossible win but for him this was the main reason he chose to open up this one first. They were arranged in a huge semi circle and before they could fully step off their podiums he cast rainstorm and overcharged Frozen shackles and let it loose as soon as both their feet hit floor. They were dressed in some sort of heavy armor with a large weapon like a halberd or a greatsword. They also all had the same emaciated facial features. They were now all completely trapped and helpless. One by one he sent overcharged Ice lances through their chests and pinned them to ground. It took a while but eventually their HP bled out and they chattered into motes of light. In their coffins he found a total of five skill books, three weapons, and two pieces of armor. The armor was a set of gloves with +400 to STR and Vit, and grieves that had +500 to AGI. The weapons were a dagger, a sword, and a lance. He wasn¡¯t a melee type so they went directly into the inventory to sell. *Generals Bone weapons- This is the personal skill the seven royal guards of a forgotten kingdom jointly tried to create. It ended in success and they managed to create an extremely versatile and powerful skill that perfectly suits those who follow the hybrid path of mages and warriors. This spell relies entirely on the caster mana regeneration rate and its power and efficiency is double for each of the spell series that are used together. Tier 1 (Scales with set and caster) *Generals Bone Shield- This is the personal skill the seven royal guards of a forgotten kingdom jointly tried to create. It ended in success and they managed to create an extremely versatile and powerful skill that perfectly suits those who follow the hybrid path of mages and warriors. This spell relies entirely on the caster mana regeneration rate and its strength and density is double for each of the spell series that are used together. Tier 1 (Scales with set and caster) *General''s Bone Manipulation- This is the personal skill the seven royal guards of a forgotten kingdom jointly tried to create. It ended in success and they managed to create an extremely versatile and powerful skill that perfectly suits those who follow the hybrid path of mages and warriors. This spell relies entirely on the caster mana regeneration rate and its durability and hardness is double for each of the spell series that are used together. Tier 1 (Scales with set and caster) *Bone Mage enhancement- Ability created by the dungeon [Tomb of the lost kings] to modify an existing spell series to be more suitable for the mage class. This is a bonus reward for the mage Jacob Dawn for clearing dungeon alone and cannot be viewed or learned by anyone else who has not received the blessing of the lost kings and/or brokered a deal with the dungeon. Tier 6 *Ice Imbuement- This spell allows the user to store a high tier spell of the ice element into a weapon or catalyst that is capable of containing the mana amount required. The stored spell has a one second cast time and the mana cost is paid at the time of the enchanting. Tier 8 He immediately learned them all watched as they all merged into a single new spell. *Bone Armament of the Sorcerer- This spell is an original of the mage Jacob Dawn. This spell creates a set of completely customizable bone armor, weapons, and shield that is fully suited to cover many of the shortcomings that are inherent to the mage class and give a great boost to the destructiveness of all magic abilities. As an original this spell can be taught to other¡¯s or made into a skill book and sold to the store with no penalty. Tier 7 He couldn¡¯t help but laugh wildly when he read the description. Normally you had to spend years if not decades to create a new spell and have it recognized by the system. In all honesty the only reason he wasn¡¯t in danger of losing his sanity from the massive influx of information from the spell series was because of his over 3,000 intelligence. Essentially it made it a simple matter to learn the intricacies of the spell because he had three brains sharing the workload. He immediately activated the spell and watched in awe and an additional set of armor grew over what he was currently wearing. After it finished he looked like he was wearing a mixed set of scale mail and cloth. He could manipulate the look of it so he took inspiration from Dark souls and lord of the rings. He made it into two layers, the bottom would supple like the finest silk and the top would be a set of Jet black segmented plate similar to dragon slayer ornstein. When it was done reforming he started to test its mobility and found he was totally unhindered. He then tested the defense of it and even his full strength blows failed to leave a scratch. He grinned through the open face helmet and said ¡°Now all that¡¯s left is the last boss, time to end this.¡± Chapter 3- Final boss and sending a lesson By now even his own voice sounded weird in his ears. He had been in this dungeon for about a year and three quarters now, so he decided to take a few days to recuperate. The last boss was the head necromancer of the dungeon and all the mobs he summoned were worth far more experience than those on the lower floors and he intended to grind them for as long as possible. He set up camp then started the propane burner and cooked himself a massive dinner with mashed potatoes and several steaks with green beans and squash. He slept until he woke up then packed everything again and set off for the door that set behind the farthest coffin. It was set into the wall as an enormous archway filled with black smoke so it simply screamed of creepiness and dread. Now on a full tank he strode through like it was a sunny meadow until the light at the end was all that could be seen. Similar to the first boss this was situated in a colosseum but it was about twice the size of the other one. Along the far half of the arena was coffins side by side and a throne directly across from him with an arch lich sitting on it looking at him. Final bosses almost all had at least a basic level of consciousness so it was a bad idea to underestimate them. While they couldn¡¯t be considered smart they were by no means stupid either and understood human speech. He cast mana shield with all his MP and it was filled again in seconds, the thralls started to pour out just as he cast rainstorm. He started sweeping the overcharged Frigid beam and cut cut them down quickly, as soon as they appeared they were shattered into snow and ice shards. This pattern continued for hours but since the liches mana was nearly endless in the dungeon and he was undead he could theoretically sustain this for years, and until he was damaged or targeted he couldn¡¯t get off the throne. For what seemed like days they continued like this until finally he could feel the creeping edge of exhaustion so he switched targets and targeted the lich. With a screech he started throwing debuff spells at him and buffing him minions. Due to his shield the spells had no effect so he switched to attack spells but since his beams were constantly slowing him further and further in was only a matter of time until his movement ground to a halt. Not missing a chance he launched an ice pillar and nailed his head to his throne. The critical hit took what was left of his HP and the minions crumbled to dust an instant after. As his body crumbled two skill books a chest armor, a cloak and a staff rolled down the stairs. With a tired sigh he trudged over and picked them up. *Robes of misery- Long ago a foolish king let his ego run wild and decided to claim the fairest maidens in the kingdom as his personal harem. The problem with this was that one of those maidens was the wife of a powerful dark mage. After returning from abroad and learning what happened the turned the entire kingdom into undead and tortured the damned kings soul until it dispersed, never to be reborn. For this terrible act, no matter how deserved it was the mage was turned into a lich and ruled as the new king in the kingdom turned dungeon. WIS +500 INT+500 Misery conversion- All the lingering regrets and pain from the dying and dead are absorbed and stored in the passive absorption type spell ¡®Bone armament of the sorcerer¡¯ and is used to supplement the mana absorption required by the spell. *King of Bones- A paired Item that boosts the effect and eliminates the cost of ¡®Bone armament of the sorcerer¡¯ as long as Robes of misery are equipped. WIS +1,000 INT +1,000 *Cloak of shadows- This cloak boosts the wearers ability to hide in shadows and provides a 50% increase to sneak effectiveness while in shadows or dark places. AGI +500 *Ice Mine- Create an explosive glyph that shoots shards of ice like shrapnel, the damage and area of effect are decided by the amount of mana spent in its cast time. *Summon Ice Golem- Summon a golem made entirely of ice. Size ,durability, and Temperature are decided by the amount of mana that is injected during its 60 second cast time. Once again he immediately learned the two skills and put on equipment besides the cloak of shadows. As soon as he picked them up he heard a ding and the expected and long awaited message popped up. *You completely defeated the [Tomb of forgotten kings] and will be transported to the entrance in eight hours. Bonus chests will disappear in 1 hour. In a bright flash of light five chests appeared at the foot of the throne. The bonus chests were kind of like the lottery. Depending on your luck and clear time of the dungeon then you could potentially get amazing items, there are five chests because the ¡°optimal¡± party size was for five players and since he fully cleared it alone his rewards shouldn¡¯t be anything to scoff at but the boss drops were already beyond anything had ever heard of so he didn¡¯t hold out much hope. One after another he opened the chests and was not disappointed. In all he got 200,580,000 gold and a tier five sword. For a mid tier dungeon it was fairly average loot for a party of five. With a giggle and thinking of how many of the armor pieces he would be able to get from it he turned and headed into the safe room that appeared right next to the entrance. For about seven hours he slept then woke up to his alarm from his phone he set so he wouldn¡¯t wake up as he dropped on the concrete outside the dungeon. He made a last check on his items and stood up right as the timer hit zero. The outside looked very different from what he remembered. If he had to describe it in a few words it would be that an adventurers guild had been installed in the main hall of the millenium park. He had enough time to take note of that before before a wave of pure pleasure filled him. It lasted about ten seconds and he felt like a god during it but a single thought of those walking disasters called world bosses knocked him back to ground zero. *Congratulations on reaching the level 1,000 cap. To level further and get stronger you will need to undergo rebirth, please find a safe place and initiate it. All excess experience has been stored and will be used when rebirth is complete. Please note that this will reset your level to 1 but all stat and skill points will be retained with an increased experience needed for each level. It had been a long time since he had last saw this message. It was theorized that the world bosses were normal monsters that had went through at least ten rebirths and gained intelligence that dwarfed humans along with a body that other monsters could only envy. First he had to distribute his stat points though. ¡°Status.¡± [Name: Jacob Dawn Level: 1,000 Deaths: 0 EXP: 0% Titles: First among Immortals (0.00000001 sec.) The only problem was that now he would be getting only average experience for this dungeon after he transformed. The trade off though was more than worth it. He walked over to a man that wore the guard captain uniform and tapped his shoulder. He jumped like a cat that had its tale stepped on as he spun reaching for his weapon. ¡°Relax captain I¡¯m the young master you should have been told about.¡± There was a flash of recognition in his eyes as he saluted ¡°Sir the family head requested that he be informed the instant you left the dungeon.¡± ¡°Very well, what is the situation of the world since i¡¯ve been back?¡± While the captain read him a prepared report with everything he would want to be kept up to date on he called his father. ¡°This Is Robert Dawn speaking who is calling?¡± ¡°Hey Dad I¡¯m out of the dungeon.¡± There was a crash that sounded suspiciously like a desk being flipped from standing up to fast. ¡°Jake! What is the name of the knife you swore on that day when you warned us about the end?¡± There was what sounded like desperation in his voice. ¡°Shikar of course. Dad why do you sound so panicked? What happened?¡± There was what sounded like a massive sigh before he launched into what had happened. People were beginning to get desperate and some of the competition had kidnapped his sister Karly trying to force her to spill information but she wouldn¡¯t have so they had sent videos of them beating and torturing her saying they wanted information on the so called players. They hadn¡¯t been able to find the people yet and it had been two weeks. By the end he was hysterical and Jake was PISSED. ¡°I¡¯ll be at the house shortly so have the video ready.¡± ¡°Alright, just hurry.¡± Those were the last words before the phone crumpled in his hand. The air around him was twisting and warping as his mana went out of control from his anger. Taking a deep breath he forced down his anger and thought calmly. He handed the phone back to the guard and asked ¡°Was that your personal phone?¡± The man was white as a sheet and had a bloody nose from being too close when he lost control. ¡°N-n-no sir, I-It¡¯s the s-s-standard issue for security detail.¡± He nodded ¡°See to it that your issued a new one, and if they give you issues tell them it''s an order from master Jake. Now where¡¯s my car? Ah you know what never mind, I¡¯ll run. It will be faster that way.¡± As soon as he stepped outside he popped his neck and bounced few times to loosen up then took of like a bullet. He didn¡¯t know it but most of the guards had turned to look and see who it was right as he took off. He went so fast that even traffic cam¡¯s would only catch a blur but due to his reflexes which were just as good he was as intangible as a gust of wind. Within ten minutes he was striding into the mansions front gates. He dad was Pacing with a laptop in hand, and looked up right as he opened the gates. In an instant he was beside him taking the laptop. He opened it and focused his newly advanced brain entirely on the video. It was only ten minutes but showcased some very stomach churning things. When it was done he watched it twice more, with his brain examining every last detail he found where they were, and who they were. He stood and said ¡°Dad, get ready to receive a guest from Mr, Aizawa. By tonight his business will be destroyed and we can change what''s left into cash and use it.¡± With an ashen face yelled out ¡°It was that bastard. God¡¯s he came here two or three months ago for a business proposal and we turned him down.¡± ¡°Dad it doesn¡¯t matter. He stepped on a dragons tail this time. I¡¯m going to make him into an example for the world to see, just be prepared to have the media spin it it a favorable light. Do you get it?¡± He stared at his dad intently until he gravely nodded yes and took out his phone. ¡°I¡¯ll be hitting the safehouse with sis first, you can just follow the path of Ice.¡± When he walked away he consciously changed his mana into ice then left a trail on footprint shaped ice. It was in the industrial district and he spotted over thirty guards that came out of the woodwork when he stopped in front. They were dressed up as simple street thugs but he could practically feel the training radiating off of them. He still had his bone armor up so he wasn¡¯t worried about any kind of bullet short of tank piercing rounds. He locked eyes with the one in charge and said ¡°Let my sister go and I¡¯ll spare your lives.¡± He unleashed his mana to pressure them as he spoke and as expected they turned sheet white and suddenly had a bloody nose but he didn¡¯t expect them to instantly attack. He simply pointed and an ice lance nailed three of them together. The first threw the chest, the second threw the shoulder, and the last was also threw the shoulder. The leader looked in shock as three of his guys were killed in a second. ¡°If your afraid of Aizawa then I can promise I¡¯m far more terrifying and his company won¡¯t exist by tomorrow while he will personally be without a head to regret his choice.¡± They looked at eachother once before they held up their hands. ¡°Sigh, some idiots simply don¡¯t learn.¡± He raised his head and shot an Ice lance threw the snipers head that was aiming at his from a nearby building. Next one knocked the door off its hinges to a barrage of gunfire. He just sighed as they ricocheted off his armor. He walked inside and grew a facemask so the bullets didn¡¯t annoy him too much. There were screams and cries for mercy but they were all forfeit for kidnapping his sister. The ones outside had probably never been inside before and were out of loop on what was really going on so they could be forgiven but these assholes were different. The blood ran like a river but within seconds it froze because of the temperature of his ice spikes. He purposely went overkill since it would be a message rather than business only. Some he nailed to the wall and some he just nailed together but all thirty three of them died nonetheless. His sister was still in the torture room hanging from the ceiling with chains. He quickly broke them then lightly slapper her cheeks and woke her up. Luckily it was his older sister and she had one of the strongest hearts he new so he had hope that she would be alright. As her eyes fluttered open he saw the anger and spite that was frozen over with cold cunning. He smiled because he knew she would be ok. ¡°Heya sis, ya know your not supposed to follow strangers into abandoned warehouses no matter how much you may like his whip.¡± She simply sniffed and said ¡°Goes to show you don¡¯t know how to value a good play of S&M. Don¡¯t worry theres hope for you yet.¡± He was speechless, as usual. He picked her up princess style and cast greater regeneration on her. She gasped and squirmed as the water flowed over her and closed her wounds like they were never there within seconds. ¡°So that¡¯s what a spell looks like.¡± She whispered. ¡°Yes, but i¡¯m quite strong you know so in someone else''s hands the effect would still be less powerful.¡± For some reason she blushed and hid her head which made her realize that he seemed to be wearing silk. But looking around she clearly saw guns and spent casing laying everywhere along with the bodies. She especially looked at the ones nailed to the wall with fascination. Soon he heard the reporter outside and let Karly walk on her own. She was fully healed so it wasn¡¯t a problem but as soon as she heard the reporter she looked at him and grinned evilly before jumping into his arms again. He simply sighed and kept walking. The reporter was interviewing the three men who had surrendered and were coincidentally the last survivors. When they saw them walking out they immediately rushed over so he let his helmet retract. The four of them went over to the new truck and sat down while he explained the situation and delivered the warning. Essentially it said that any other organization that aimed at his family would suffer the same as mr. Aizawa. By tonight he will be dead in a very public manner. As expected they were speechless especially since they were on the air. ¡°By the time you have finished airing the state of things inside there will be several places belonging to Mr. Aizawa¡¯s underground dealings and Aizawa industries will be in the process of paying for damages to my family. I am Jacob Dawn and the time of the players has come.¡± To there perception he simply vanished as he said those words. Their senses just couldn¡¯t follow him. The rest of the day was spent just like that until he arrived at the skyscraper where Mr. Aizawa was staying. As expected it was packed to the brim with guards and guns but they were just as worthless as before. Within ten minutes he was knocking down the penthouse door. Chapter 4- A new class and goal He was greeted by yet another barrage of useless gunfire. An ice lance each killed them regardless of what they were hiding behind. Aizawa was sitting on the couch drinking tea of some kind the only hint that he was aware of the situation was that his hand was shaking like an epileptique. ¡°Hoh, no beginning? No crying? Well that won¡¯t do, after all you are meant to be a lesson. So I¡¯ll give you something to spark that fear.¡± He calmly had his helmet retract into his armor. Aizawa just looked at him with a stunned and poleaxed face. An instant later however he was wild with Joy and his eyes lit up as his head was snapped backward from the force of the bullet. In complete evil villain mode he laughed hysterically and went on his own monologue about how he¡¯ll make good use of my armor and youth breeds stupidity and many others. Finally he said ¡°It seems you¡¯ve gone senile.¡± He shut up so fast he gagged. Slowly he raised his head and locked eyes with him. All his forehead had was a bruise instead of a hole. ¡°I said it before old man, the systems advent has come and the time of the players is here. Unfortunately for you, you fucked with the first immortal¡¯s family and now you will be used as an example for every other scumbag in the world.¡± By now he was blubbering and crying and begging for mercy. He looked at the security camera that was recording it all and gave his best smile then kicked Aizawa three feet in the air as he shattered the glass and screamed all the way to the ground before it ended with a wet splat. Once more he turned to the camera and smiled before he jumped out the same window he sent Aizawa from. They were probably forty stories in the air so he activated his UMF with 100 mana to take the initial impact. He would still leave a crater so he aimed a little ways to the side of the corpse. As expected the barrier shattered and he took roughly 50K damage. It was enough to hurt but since the point was to look cool at the moment he had a bored look on his face. When the dust settled the crater was about a foot in radius and six inches deep at his feet. He commanded his armor to vibrated the dust off as he walked and disappeared into the night as he headed back home. The next few days were pandemonium since he basically announced two months early that immortals now walked the world. Once he was sure that things were under control he made his dad lock him in the soundproof basement with some food and water. The rebirth was going to tear him apart on a molecular level and put him back together again in a way that could handle greater influxes of power. The entire process would take three days but it would a very loud and very gory affair. When everything was ready he laid down on the bed and activated the rebirth. To him it was over in an instant. The only difference was that cement walls now had cracks and dents and his clothes were shredded beyond recognition. Plus the fact that it looked like a psychotic butchers mad house. He quickly cast Greater regeneration and use it as an impromptu shower before he put on the clothes that had been slip under the door. He knocked three times, paused, knocked five time in rapid succession then paused and knocked twice more. He heard the bolt slide back and one of the more experienced maids opened the door. ¡°Send a few of our trusted soldiers who are Vet¡¯s to clean up the room. No one else that doesn¡¯t need to should be allowed to see it, especially those that aren¡¯t old enough to be immortals yet.¡± He noticed that she had caught a glimpse but her expression didn¡¯t so much as flicker. He smiled and nodded then asked ¡°Pardon my manners but what is your name?¡± She curtsied and said ¡°Nina Belark young master.¡± All in all the only way could tell she was past twenty five was the few streaks of silver in her hair. ¡°It¡¯s a good name. Tell me, do you like young adults? Probably around ages 18-25.¡± ¡°As long as i¡¯m free to reprimand them as is fit then I like them well enough young master.¡± ¡°Hmm, after taking care of this task come to my father''s office. I may have a task to entrust you with that is of utmost importance.¡± He sent her off and headed towards the office. His dad should be there currently or would be soon. He took it slow and watched the maids and guards go about their business. Quick enough he was in his father''s study waiting for him to get done with his visitors. Before long they all walked out and he went in. He hugged his dad and sat down on the sofa. ¡°I¡¯m going to break open a beginner dungeon for our people to start leveling up and I¡¯ll be bringing four of the maids with me to give them a tour as well. When I¡¯m done I plan on leaving them in charge of getting our people used to the dungeons. It will be about three years until the government collapses and the world is divided into guilds so we still have some time to prepare. Once I¡¯ve taught them what there is to know about beginner dungeons then we can start our people on leveling.¡± ¡°Ok, I¡¯ll have them meet you out by the requisition shed in the backyard. How long will it take to have them up to speed?¡± ¡°If their veterans or former mercs then it should only be a few weeks but it their not then it could be a few months.¡± ¡°Alright, I¡¯ll make sure their experienced in blood.¡± They talked about this and that until there was a knock on the door and the maid Nina came in. ¡°Ok since she¡¯s here then I¡¯ll get started. It was fun talking dad, we¡¯ll do a bit more when I get back.¡± As they headed to the backyard he opened his stats and checked on how far that excess experience got him. ¡°Status.¡± Because of learning those spells in the dungeon his skill points were lower than he would have liked but he could still go and browse the store and possibly pick up one tier ten spell. Since most spells rely on intelligence as the prerequisite he dumped all his points yet again into his INT which he confirmed. [Name: Jacob Dawn Tier: 1 Level: 892 Deaths: 0 EXP: 40% Titles: First among Immortals (0.00000001 sec.) (Highest on record) Hp: 352,500/352,500 MP: 2,344,700/2,344,700 Strength: 3,115 Agility: 3,220 Vitality: 3,525 Willpower: 4,550 Intelligence: 23,447 Stat points: 0 Skill points: 10 Fatigue: 1% Class: Mage Profession: None Spells: Neutral/Passive- (Overcharge, Multicast, Transcendental meditation (2), Ultimate mana fortress, Mana Projection, Bone Armament of the Sorcerer ) Water/ice magic- Frigid Beam, Greater water regeneration, Icy lance, frozen shackles, rainstorm, Ice Imbuement, Ice Mine, Summon Ice Golem] He made sure to tightly control his Aura as his mana pool ballooned out in an order of magnitude. Frankly even for a wizard who dumped all ins points in INT from the start his pool was still beyond massive and with his meditation His regeneration was even more ridiculous. Essentially his massive pool allowed his insta cast spells to be on a completely ridiculous scale while his monstrous regeneration allowed his higher tier spells that had a cast time to be nothing short of cataclysmic in addition to practically never running out of mana. And now that he went through rebirth his meditation had leveled up as well, so now instead of a 9 times multiplier he had an 18 times multiplier. Frankly, if it wasn¡¯t for his Bone Armament of the sorcerer absorbing all his excess mana regeneration he might not even dare to use meditation for more than a few seconds at a time because he was afraid he might explode from mana overload. But since his armor took care of it he probably wouldn¡¯t lose to a tank decked out in full tier 5 plate armor. If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. They were now at the shed so he quickly got enough supplies for a party of five for six weeks. While they were getting it together another three maids showed up. They all had hard eyes and toned bodies that spoke of a life on the battlefield. They were warriors in their own right. At one look he could tell that they only respected strength and since he was entirely hiding his aura he looked like a simple, scrawny, and entitled young master. Their dismissive look and sickly sweet attitude rubbed the wrong way but he would simply show them when they left civilised company. He got the supplies and left with them trailing without a sound. He got the car and when they were all in he said ¡°In the store we are about to enter be on your best behavior. If they take offense I might not be able to save you in time. Oh and change into your battle kit, those dresses wont last the trip to the dungeon.¡± He could practically feel their eyes digging into his back as they answered with a generic ¡°Yes master.¡± When he parked the car in front of the store the silence was practically freezing. It was as they walked into the store that he used his aura to protect the other four or else they might have fainted outright. The multiple auras passively being released were all far stronger than his but his was much more compressed to protect the maids they still felt them to a certain extent but it wasn¡¯t nearly as bad. They could also feel a bit of his but he still had it mostly hidden. He waved at the receptionist who returned it and licked her lips. He suppressed an instinctive shiver that rolled up his spine and brought up the list but was shocked so bad he nearly lost control of his aura. The list he had always seen only had three categories which were *Skills**Spells**Items* but now there was a fourth category *Restricted Magic*. He remembered one of the Dark elf nobles he was with for a while telling him a legend about Sentient magic that evolved on its own and chose its wielder. All the wielders of this magic were at the ascension level at least and were known as one of the few that go head to head with world bosses one on one and use them to evolve their magic. How exactly they did that was a secret worth committing genocide over. He new exactly how powerful world bosses were and frankly had resolved to just avoid them until he reached the threshold for ascension then take one of them on. But with this the game radically changed. With a gulp he clicked on the restricted magic and was blinded by a wave of light as the screen disappeared. When his eyes cleared a glowing neon white book appeared and just hovered in mid air. *Congratulations you have been found worthy by the higher magic Cosmic magic, also known as Celestial magic. This magic wishes to bond with your soul and will grow as you do, It has deemed you a worthy partner. Note- by accepting this offer you will gain knowledge of a higher tier than what is allowed in the current phase of your world, If you attempt to leak this information then your soul will be immediately dispersed. Preparations can be made based on this information but no one else can be informed of it who is not already aware. Do you accept these terms? Y/N Without even a second guess he selected yes. It almost seemed as if the magic hummed in approval. As it started to drift closer to his chest, a quick glance around showed that they world looked like a freeze frame. Everything was washed out in shades of gray with absolutely no movement. Then the book reached his chest and it was like the rebirth all over again. The only difference was that he didn¡¯t black out and the white hot agony wouldn¡¯t even let him scream. But it was gone as fast as it came then the information montage started. He found himself in a vast starscape with planets all around. Suddenly screens started showing up out of nowhere and one of the planets exploded. Two figures seemed to be fighting but their speed was to fast for him to even catch their after images. They fought with the power of gods on their fingertips and the screens let out the approving roar of the crowds. This entire galaxy was little more than an arena for these two combatants. More and more planets exploded until it was nothing but asteroids left. Tears ran down his face as he saw this wanton destruction with no purpose but entertainment. The view suddenly changed and he looked at a sprawling metropolis like something out of a sci fi film. People flew around at speeds that left sonic booms and no one cared. Enormous portals opened and closed at set intervals as spaceships bigger than the entire continent of south america just mozied on by without a single glance from those below. Different races of all shapes and sizes walked past with what looked like collars around their necks, slave collars. ¡°This is a phase five world. What you consider gods are nothing more than battle foder in the wars they participate in.¡± He spun as a woman with four pairs of the wings of an angel on her back stood floating in mid air a few feet from him. ¡°This is an example of a fallen world that no longer seeks to advance. The world will has been corrupted. The system values effort and strength but it is also far from perfect. Some worlds decide to break away from the system when they enter the fifth tier and wage eternal wars for profit and sport. Very few of the original race even remain now because for most it is easier to get a pleasure slave to carry on their genes then to court another of their own species.¡± Her tone conveyed her bottomless sadness as she spoke. ¡°It is planets like these that have stagnated that pose a threat to all others. To them it is only themselves and soon to be slaves that exist. When my gaze landed on you by chance when the system first initialized and almost instantly you dove through the portal I knew that you were most likely a returnee. Someone who opted to restart from level one but by chance you were sucked into the time slip and spat back out to when the system first touched your world. I don¡¯t know how far your vision has reached but since you are the one chosen in your race I have decided to ask for your help. Worlds like these that have their world consciousness enslaved or destroyed must be either liberated or destroyed. I¡¯m using this chance to beg for your-¡± ¡°I¡¯ll help. You don¡¯t even need to ask. They are a danger to my family and myself in several ways and following their pattern the will attempt to enslave my world for one reason or another. So let¡¯s raise the quality of our fighter¡¯s if we can¡¯t win on the quantity, starting with me.¡± With her smile the world went back to normal. The receptionist yelled in surprise as everyone was blinded by the flash of light. Several of the maids and butlers were holding weapons until he raised his arms and ¡°It¡¯s fine, no one is hurt and nothing stolen. I was simply chosen by a restricted magic, that¡¯s all.¡± Now everyone except his maids were staring at him in open shock. They simply couldn¡¯t believe it, after all they had just witnessed a legend come true in the flesh. Finally a clapping sounded as the manager came down the stairs with her assistant. ¡°Alright everyone get back to work. Mr. Jacob would you step into my office please. Your friends can come too.¡± And once more she led the way to her office and shut the door behind them. With a chuckle she sat on the left hand couch and said ¡°Well I can see you didn¡¯t exaggerate when you said to discard common sense where your concerned.¡± He could only laugh awkwardly because it fit but even he couldn¡¯t have begun to guess about something like this. ¡°So what magic chose you? I gotta say I¡¯m dying to know and your aura isn¡¯t something someone at only the first tier should have, at least the second tier or even some of the really weak third tiers.¡± He opened his status as he talked. ¡°Well It''s called Celestial magic but I¡¯ve only got one spell that is of no use in combat but will definitely put me far stronger than anyone else by several times over.¡± The spell was called Cosmic Rebirth and was essentially another rebirth every tier but also allowed me to gain skill points all the way through to the threshold of the tier as well. Instead of only getting skill points the first time you reach that level I gain it all the way through. At level ten thousand when most people are ready to ascend they will have gained 400 skill points. But he will gain 4,400, but of course he wasn¡¯t stupid enough to tell this to anyone, and it also came with its own downsides. Instead of a slight increase in the amount of experience required it doubled it and it also had a six day cooldown time. But the best part by far was that it could be cast on someone else. This would essentially allow him to give the same benefit to his family as well. There were a lot of classes out there that gave additional attribute points or skill points but he had never heard of anything to this degree. Regardless he showed them his new class with a grin, ¡°Status¡±. [Name: Jacob Dawn Tier: 1 Level: 892 Deaths: 0 EXP: 40% Titles: First among Immortals (0.00000001 sec.) (Highest on record) Hp: 352,500/352,500 MP: 2,344,700/2,344,700 Strength: 3,115 Agility: 3,220 Vitality: 3,525 Willpower: 4,550 Intelligence: 23,447 Stat points: 0 Skill points: 35 Fatigue: 1% Class: Celestial Mage Profession: None Spells: Neutral/Passive- (Overcharge, Multicast, Transcendental meditation (2), Ultimate mana fortress, Mana Projection, Bone Armament of the Sorcerer ) Water/ice magic- Frigid Beam, Greater water regeneration, Icy lance, frozen shackles, rainstorm, Ice Imbuement, Ice Mine, Summon Ice Golem] Chapter 5- The end of the beginning There was nothing to gain from just the title alone and that was all he allowed to show. The rest was blanked out to their eyes. They both looked at each other and shrugged. Then talked a little more on how to learn spells from his special magic. Neither of them had any ideas so he figured he might as well just try to buy them like he would any other skill. He happened to ask how many points he earned her just now and she just said ¡°Enough to put into third place with not that many between me and second.¡± Last he knew she was in the thirties so he figured it was quite a lot. He said their goodbyes and went back to the counter in the main lobby. Sure enough after he played with the menus for a while he found that he really did buy his special magic just like other spells. It even had its own little category. He was ecstatic until he saw how many points it required to learn. The cheapest skill to learn was still one of the most expensive he had ever seen. *Angelic summoning- Summon an angelic creature to fight or act on your behalf until you either run out of mana or the summon is banished. The strength of the summon will be decided by the mana invested during its sixty second cast time and will be sustained by the summoners regeneration. Cost 100,000,000 G and 50 SP to learn. Tier 15 The gold was frankly dirt cheap for a spell like this but there were two enormous problems. One was that 50 Skill points was nothing short of prohibitive for anyone except him and the other was that It required massive amounts of both Initial mana cost and equally massive regeneration to sustain the summon. With a sigh he bought it and just like that a year''s worth of dungeoning was gone in an instant. He couldn¡¯t learn the spell yet but it wouldn¡¯t be too long once he unlocked a high level dungeon. First though he had to teach these newbies what it meant to dungeon dive. With a sigh he exited out of the panel and thanked the receptionist before leaving. They all piled into the car and he drove to the navy pier. At the very end of the pier there was -yet again- a sectioned off piece that was covered in canvas. The ladies had all changed into combat fatigues with knives and swords on their waists, he had their other weapons in his inventory. When they stepped inside they were greeted by the armed guards, a maintenance shack was cordoned off. The barrier was still up but it was obviously on its last legs as the time for the field monsters showing themselves drew closer. He had them stand back a bit and one punch was enough to break it. The guards just gawked like he was a monster but the girls were confused about their reaction. What looked like a door to hell appeared as the barrier dispersed. It was decorated with flames, elementals, demons, and other firebased monsters like a mural. He gave the guards one more rundown and then entered with the girls. ¡°Ok first thing you do when you enter the dungeon is canvas the area to make sure no enemies are waiting on an ambush. Second is distinguish if the area is a safe zone or not. Third is check for tr-¡± He noticed they were looking at him like they would a child who was trying to act like an adult. He grinned evilly and asked ¡°What do you respect?¡± The sudden question caught them off guard and they could only stammer while avoiding his eyes. You know what lets do it like this. I, Jacob Dawn formally request a duel with the four women standing in front of me. The duel will continue until loss of consciousness or forfeit and my stats will be lowered to equal theirs. Now you all accept the invitation, that¡¯s an order.¡± They all hesitated then looked at him like he was an idiot as they accepted. It was an order after all. ¡°Now when I say start I order you all four to attack me like your life depends on it. And if you don¡¯t I will have you dismissed from the family or imprisoned for disobeying orders, is that understood?¡± Now they were clearly all visibly irate. They were so pissed they were shaking, that was good. ¡°Start.¡± Almost before the word was off his lips they were attacking, and they weren¡¯t veterans for nothing. Two dashed to the sides while to stepped in to tie him up with their footwork and fast blows. They were good but before they joined the family they had never even seen eachother so their team work was only adequate due to their combined experience. All in all he simply toyed with them and they could see it. He was always just one step ahead or just barely dodging their hits. Most of the time his feet never even hit the ground and was using their own momentum and strength to literally spin between them like a gust of wind. Soon one of them overextended and a quick blow to the jaw ended her. The other fell like dominoes so after with only miss Nina still conscious. But since he had pinned in an armbar he let her go. She looked like she was in shock. All this time she had been thinking that he was a spoiled young master that rode on his family''s money, but now she new that her thinking had been entirely backward. They were all seasoned veterans with at least four tours in multiple warzones across the globe but this twenty year old youth had toyed with them like they were simply punching bags. They were already immortals so they were all in the know about what was coming but they weren¡¯t core members yet so they had no way of knowing that it was entirely Jacob who was preparing the family for the coming years. Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit. She slowly came to terms with everything and it seemed like when she looked at him now her common sense had collapsed and she was no longer looking at a human but something more like a god. Soon after the others woke up and this time he had already set up camp. They were all exhausted and sore so he let them get to sleep while he stood watch. It took them quite a while but eventually they all dozed off. He didn¡¯t know it yet but they were all half expecting him to climb in with them for night services. Messed around with modifying his spells for most of the night until one of them woke up then he started breakfast while giving a warning. ¡°Until you get an Item box you will have to carry anything you want to bring and anything you find so keep in mind to pack extremely lightly. Most of your money will come from selling the items you get from the dungeon to the store we were at earlier. What¡¯s with the long faces? You guys still tired?¡± He noticed they were all quite grumbly this morning- particularly Nina- but couldn¡¯t figure out why. Finally Nina sighed and said ¡°We wanted you to come for night services master but you didn¡¯t show.¡± He couldn¡¯t help but blush a little at that since he hadn¡¯t even considered it. Now that he thought about he had heard his cousins talking a few time that their personal maids would give night services at their own discretion, by no means were they forced but it was a quirk of his family. ¡°Well I figured you girls were tired from the fight and I...¡± He trailed off as he realized that he was now being ignore and they were talking about passing him around like whose turn was when. He simply didn¡¯t know what to say and his instincts were telling him to just stay out of it. Finally Nina looked up struck him dumb again, ¡°Master for girls like us fighting doesn¡¯t just make us tired but also horny.¡± Then turned back around like it was nothing. Yep, even after the apocalypse there is no understanding women. And he then left it at that. When they were finally ready he said something that made them all grin with bloodlust. ¡°Essentially just treat this as a battlefield and you¡¯ll be fine. The rest will come as you begin to understand skills and spells. Unlike the common theory for video games dungeon are not usually infested with traps they are simply swamped with monsters. The reason for this you can discover later if you want or you can ask me in a few years. Right now it''s useless to you and could bring increased danger so just forget it for now.¡± Over the next few months they all came closer together as a team and he explained all about skill, spells, party composition, and the importance of levels as well as bosses, roaming bosses, mini-bosses and named enemies. Their favorite part was about equipment though unsurprisingly. All in all it took them about two months until they had everything completely mastered. He had gotten to know them quite well so he made recommendations about how to fight with different builds and maximizing effectiveness of certain builds. The two redheads named Amy and Melain were huge magic geeks so he had a lot to teach them, but due to his experience of eighteen odd years he also had a lot to teach Crystal and Chloe as well who were both more suited to rogue or assassin styles of combat. He also made constant effort to stress the importance of how suitable someone was for a certain role. Nina was a total tanker and was nothing short of amazing with a shield a mace. The only words that fit was that she was a natural paladin. As they were walking back to the entrance he taught them all his [Bone Armament of the Sorcerer] which they freely modified on their preference and chosen styles, and his meditation. While it technically wasn¡¯t made by him the framework that made it as powerful as it was could be called his product. They successful learned them both and he wasn¡¯t penalized so he just sighed in relief. As they reached the entrance their whispered got a little louder until they stopped and said ¡°Master we¡¯ve decided, Nina will accompany you. You said yourself you get lonely at times and we decided that since you first picked Nina for this assignment then she should be the one to come with you. And this decision is final.¡± Every time he tried to cut in he was shut down and had no real argument so he could only nod his head. Truth be told he hadn¡¯t been looking forward to being alone again anyway. They all laughed asNina was beet red by this point. It was hard to believe that these were the same women who never smiled or laughed two months ago but once they broke past level one hundred they started loosen up. He didn¡¯t know the reason but had the hunch it was related to always being edge waiting for someone stronger to show up. Now that they had a decent taste of real strength they were much more relaxed. When they left the entrance they were greeted by the guards and updated. The field monsters would appear any day now so he sent them ahead back to the house and spent the next six hours breaking open all the low level dungeons barriers all around the city. Each point was controlled by their people so it made the task simple. He finally made it back to the house and flopped on the couch. No sooner did it seem like he nodded off that a noiseless shock wave washed threw him. He immediately bolted awake and started yelling for his dad. It had happened, the field monsters had just spawned on their world. A blue box appeared in front of every humans face and said this *Humans of the planet tera that you call earth, two years ago a series of gates started appearing on your world. They grant you access to the system and immortality. They grant you the ability to fight back against monster that will be appearing in your world soon. Dungeons also have now began to appear. Strength is now the only true unit of measure. The human race has now entered the initialization phase. Fight, win, survive, and grow stronger. Good luck humans, your sheltered period has come to an end and it is time to join the wider cosmos. And with those words the apocalypse had begun. It didn¡¯t have a name yet but it would come to be called ¡®The systems Advent¡¯. Chapter 6- Unprecedented discovery and the price paid for family Now that events were set in motion human government would essentially collapse and they needed to make the best of this. He had told his dad all the relevant information long before but now that the cat was out of the bag things would be more difficult. Everyone was already in the office as burst through the door and said ¡°All the lower class and most of the mid class dungeons are opened in chicago. All those are under our control. I¡¯m going to head out right now and open the rest.¡± He nodded and said, ¡°Calm down Jacob, we are prepared for this. Finish your end so we can get started on ours ok.¡± He nodded and within seconds he was speeding through the night. No matter how he thought about it he had simply miss judged the time when they were in the dungeon. Each barrier fell to one punch and by morning there were 14 low grade Dungeons, 5 Middle grade, and 3 High grade. They already controlled the area around them all so they effectively controlled all the dungeons in chicago. The middle and high grade dungeons barriers were stronger but thanks to his vastly inflated mana one charged ice lance was enough to break them. He ran at his fastest and was making sure he wasn¡¯t discovered so naturally his energy levels were extremely drained by the time he got back. Without a word he collapsed on the couch and passed out. When he woke up everyone was in a flurry and there were several coffee pots brewing coffee which wrinkled his nose. He grabbed a bottle of pepsi from the fridge and headed to his room. He shucked his old clothes and stepped in the bath. Considering it had been nearly two years since he had a proper bath he was understandably relaxed, so much so that he didn¡¯t notice the door open and in walked Nina. When he finally did notice she was staring at him with a unique look on her face. By now he new that look well enough that he just kept his eyes cracked and held his hand out to her. Taking the invitation she stripped and joined him while holding his hand. The bath tub was was roughly eight feet long, five feet wide, and two feet deep so it wasn¡¯t hard for them both to fit. One thing about Nina was that she loved to cuddle for a while before they had sex. He let out a contented sigh and let her wrap herself around him as she wanted while he simply hugged her close. After a while she started with teasing him so he did the same. Coy remarks and lusty sighs soon followed but contrary to his expectation she kept his trapped and wouldn¡¯t let him move. He eventually got the idea and simply put his feet and hands on the side of the tub then lifted them both out of the water. He got a surprised squeak in response before she started riding him as she pleased, not allowing him to move at all. Time and again she put him on the very edge and kept him there in suspense. His control was snapping like mooring lines in a hurricane when she finally whispered ¡°You know young master, all you need to do is cut loose and free that monster you lock inside. And don¡¯t worry, i¡¯m a big girl, this is what I want.¡± Finally he couldn¡¯t take it any more and with a bestial growl he launched them from the tub to the door in one bound. In less than a second they were on the bed and he was going wild. First was missionary, then doggy, then cowgirl. Through it all they were doing their best to pound each other, when the bed frame broke they didn¡¯t even pause. She fought back with all the tricks she knew but could only eek out a draw as they both climaxed together in a joint scream of ecstasy that everyone in the house had to have heard. Without a doubt it was the number one sex either of them had ever had. When he finally came back to his senses they were both covered in bruises, particularly around his dick and her vagina. She saw the flash of guilt in his eyes and before he could get away she grabbed his head kissed him deeply and hungerily. Before guiding him back into making love to her this time, slowly and gently. Finally they took an actual bath and washed up before he said ¡°Nina, you know I showed you the dungeon to teach others right.¡± She nodded as he washed her back and he continued ¡°Until you train at least three teams that can work on a rotation for guiding newbies I need you to stay here.¡± She tensed up and he said ¡°Then after that I will gladly steal you away with me, ok.¡± She thought it over with a frown for a while before she slowly nodded. ¡°Alright, I¡¯m not happy about it but I understand why your asking and I¡¯ll make sure they are up to snuff before I come find you.¡± ¡°Alright, I¡¯ll be in one of the nearby high tier dungeons so I won¡¯t be far. In three years there will be an Item for sale that I¡¯m very highly interested in so I won¡¯t be going far until then in any case.¡± ¡°Hmph, your going to marathon that dungeon for all three years aren¡¯t you?¡± He knew she was mad but he continued to gently massage her body as he washed her and spoke in relaxing tones, ¡°No, that won¡¯t be the case. There are innumerable differences between low and mid tier dungeons like I told you before, so don¡¯t you think it would be the same between mid and high tier as well? ¡°One of the differences is that for a massive jump in difficulty and lethality the dungeon floors are far smaller with far more deadly monsters. All in all it will take far less time to clear and return, around a year I would say and then I¡¯ll check in to see if your ready to come.¡± He had been a little naughty with his hands while he talked so she was now panting and trying not to moan, right as she was about to jump him for another round regardless he got up and rinsed of with the hot water then gave her a naughty smirk as she chased him out the bathroom doorway. As he got dressed he dodged retaliation from Nina and when she saw she lost this one she pouted a bit until they left together and four red faced maids coincidentally happened to be cleaning within five feet of his door. ¡°Ah perfect.¡± His exclamation made them all jump and curtsy while looking at the ground with guilt at being caught red handed. ¡°Sorry to trouble you but I¡¯m gonna be gone for a while and I need new clothes, sheets and possibly a new bed. Can you girls take care of that?¡± Now thoroughly crimson in the face they all nodded and he got out of there way as a slightly blushing Nina followed but huffed down the other hallway that he was heading. He laughed softly and thought Boy, i¡¯m going to pay for that later but that could also be fun. Without fanfare he left the mansion and walked to the nearest high tier where he picked up mostly the same supplies as the first time only far less in quantity. He was only going to be a year this time so he took about half what he did before. [The Den of Daemon¡¯s] was its name and it was mostly populated by a variety of huge beasts so the corridors were also huge. He equipped all his armor and cast his shield with a full Two million MP. It could now absorb an upwards of ten million damage but it also limited his vision somewhat. He allowed his enhanced brain to cover that though. Now with over 23K INT he could have 23 simultaneous activations of a spell. He was against beasts that were close to three stories tall on average so he went with his Summon Ice golem spell to start. He poured in everything to the casting and when it was fully charged a massive four story human shaped block of ice with massive spikes instead of hands and it was so covered in smaller spikes that if you looked closely it resembles a porcupine. When it formed he could feel it pull over 90% of his regeneration even with the meditation active. With but a thought he had it lower its ¡®hand¡¯ and he jumped along the spiked that were nearly as large as him until he was on its shoulder. He made himself comfortable and made it charge forward. The thundering crash of its footsteps instantly brought the monsters charging at them from every direction. He spent most of the next month learning how to better control and fight with his golem. When he finally entered the boss room it was enormous serpent that spit acid. Unfortunately for it the acid froze before it could ever touch the golem. He had also discovered that his golem emitted a freezing aura that was no weaker than tier 7 ¡®ice field¡¯ almost constantly. This was a natural by product because the density of the ice golem was far beyond what it would normally have thanks to his meditation and massive mana pool boosting the golems stats. With a thought he had the two grapple and soon the golem won simply because the snake was cold blooded and it eventually froze solid and broke into pieces. In the rubble there was no drops at all so he figured this dungeon was one of those that gave all its rewards when the final boss was beaten. Most hated these dungeons because they were essentially forced to clear the dungeon but it didn¡¯t bother him since that was his goal all along and a side effect was that they awarded the accumulated EXP after each boss. After that fight he was sitting at the level cap of 1,000 again so he experimented a bit and then cast an Ice mine with all his mana at each entrance of the corridor then refreshed his golem and mana shield with all his mana as well. Since noce of his spell had time limits they would stay until they got destroyed. He then set the golem to attack anything that past the ice mines dug himself a hole that he wouldn¡¯t accidentally thrash out of. When he was as prepared as he thought he could be he dumped all his remaining points into his INT then cast Cosmic Rebirth and the same situation as last time repeated itself. The only different was this time when he woke up he instantly shouted ¡°Status¡± [Name: Jacob Dawn Tier: 1 Level: 261 Deaths: 0 EXP: 40% Titles: First among Immortals (0.00000001 sec.) He had just enough skill points to learn his second Celestial magic spell. But first he decided on a change of pace and dumpen all his points into his WIS this time. As soon as he confirmed his stat¡¯s he learned the spell. A ground shaking crash and a roar pulled him out of his revery before he could experiment with it though. He easily jumped out of the pit he dug and was instantly thunderstruck. The place he set the ice mine was now looking like a meteor impact site but the other one was fine the problem was that his Ice golem was fighting two other beasts that were slightly smaller and as he watched it lost one of its leg¡¯s to what looked like a fire breathing wolf. The other one looked like a cross between an armadillo and a stegosaurus. Nearly a third of its mass was from the enormous spiked ball of bone on the end of its tail. For the first time since his rebirth he fully charged his frigid beam from all 22 circles of his Multicast. The wolf seemed to freeze in place as it slowly was encased in ice but he stopped before it froze fully and targeted the armadillo. This one he didn¡¯t spare and let the golem smash it. He turned back to the wolf and saw it was simply looking at him in despair without bothering to struggle. He almost couldn¡¯t believe his eyes. In certain high tier and evolution class dungeons the monster¡¯s had the chance to develop sentience and break free of the dungeons influence. They were extremely rare and in over twenty years he had never run into one in his previous life. He gently loosened the ice around it and looked into its eyes. He used his entire 23K intelligence and focused on sending one thought so hard he gave himself a headache. ¡°Do you want to leave this place with me?¡± More than actual words he sent the meaning and impressions of freedom that those words held. The look in its eyes changed from fear to caution as it tried to understand what he said he kept sending information. Unlike normal dungeon monsters those that were sentient possessed near infinite potential for growth but gaining their trust was no easy feat. In overall battle power this wolf was probably as strong as a boss monster but it was being severely weakened by the dungeon which was trying to force it to remain under its control. Finally when he was almost at his limit he got a reply he really didn¡¯t expect. ¡®Can... h..elp... other... like... m..e? He sent his happiness and approval right as the bridge he made collapsed. Since he didn¡¯t have a spell for it he had to do it the hard way and use pure mental strength and will if he wanted to reach out to a monster that didn¡¯t understand human words. The benefit that was that their mind automatically translated it into terms they could understand but it was extremely taxing on the one initiated it. He doubled over panting and holding his head while waiting for the pain to pass. Soon he dismissed the golem and the ice around the wolf which simply sat looking at him. Since he wasn¡¯t hungry yet he nodded to the wolf and followed as it led the way. They quickly picked up the pace to his limit but it still took nearly an hour to get to what looked like a crack in the dungeon wall. He couldn¡¯t hear anything and the wolf turned around and grunted to which he nodded and sat down to wait. If this was what he thought it was he would either suffer his first death or gain several contract monster¡¯s. In the outside world contract monsters would alway be extremely rare. Only those who either had massive mental fortitude or a class like monster tamer would be able to contract monsters to fight for them and even then they only had a small chance to gain sentience. The price he would have to pay would depend on the monster''s themselves but it wouldn¡¯t be low. Regardless of that the price would be well worth it in the end. If there were more than three of them that wanted out then the system would descend a summoning grimoire and he would take a test to determine its rank and type. He heard a yip and deactivated all his defenses except his bones as he went through. Finally he saw a light in the tunnel from the wolf¡¯s fire. Soon the tunnel flared out into an enormous room with several huge monsters laying around. He could barely keep his jaw from dropping, there had to have been seven that were roughly one story, nine that were over three stories and a few that looked like newborns running around that roughly eight feet tall. He really regretted not having an observation skill right now because not one of them looked like a normal monster. There were more in this one room than he had ever thought could exist in the entire northern hemisphere. Suddenly the walls of the room started to rumble and he realized it was far too symmetrical to be a natural cavern. In an almost comical fashion he felt a rock bounce off his shoulder and slowly turned around while looking up. Sure enough the entire cavern was nothing more than the coiled up body of an enormous snake. One of its vibrant green eyes was looking at him with intrigue clear in its eyes. ¡°You bear the mark of many years beyond your body young one. And not just in the experience but in literal years, yet you are far too weak to even dream on entering an individual plane. ¡°So tell me young one, you obviously know much beyond what has been discovered by your species so far which means you know value of an awakened monster as a comrade. Why should we agree to bond with you and what can offer?¡± Instead of replying immediately he took a careful look around. Every monster was looking at him with intelligence and curiosity. None looked malnourished or weak which meant they were all doing quite well for themselves here. When he finally turned back to the snake he said ¡°I beleive you have made a mistake good sir. I¡¯m not asking for you to be among my comrade¡¯s.¡± He could see the outrage in its so before it could say anything else he continued ¡°I¡¯m asking you to be part of my family.¡± The snake was struck dumb for a moment. Even in its wildest dreams it had never suspected than this creature before it would make such a proposal. In general it was lunacy to even think about it in the first place. Not just monster¡¯s but any sentient race would be hesitant race would have second thoughts and misgivings about inviting other species into their home. This was essentially the same as offering his neck to the chopping block to show sincerity. Most of those present didn¡¯t understand but their leader clearly did. He knew exactly what was being proposed and simply couldn¡¯t believe it. He was essentially offering a piece of his soul to each of them. He was making the greatest sacrifice possible and allowing them to evolve using his class as a base. ¡°That is amazing but before it''s decided I will need to ask to see the nature of your class.¡± ¡°Yes, i don¡¯t mind that.¡± Once again he was thrown off guard. One¡¯s class was essentially the foundation of their current and future growth. It was basically showing all your cards to the opponent when gambling. He used a skill and the awe and shock on his face was clearly visible. This was no common class and at the very least it would promote all the creatures here to the mythic or perhaps even ancient class. Even he was almost guaranteed to evolve and he was already at the ancient myth level. Monster¡¯s all had classifications in addition to their tiers. These classifications were divided into mundane, common, uncommon, rare, legend, myth, ancient legend, ancient myth, calamity, transcendent, and demigod. These classifications decided how powerful a creature was among those of the same tier. The celestial type magic was something from a tier 5 world so in essence it shouldn¡¯t exist on earth at all and was something that none of them could pass up. He would be weakened until they all went through rebirth one more time and the change become irreversible but the monster¡¯s would have no adverse effects and could still hunt and fight like normal. In addition to their strength their freedom would be guaranteed as his family. ¡°What is your name young man?¡± ¡°My name is Jacob Dawn sir.¡± ¡°Mr. Jacob, on behalf of all those present here and with the system as my witness do I, Belial Assandor so initiate this contract.¡± ¡°I Jacob Dawn do hereby donate 99% of my power and soul to the benefit and welfare of the new additions to my family as the recipient of this contract. This power is to be divided equally to all and so let this contract be sealed.¡± Yet again the snake¡¯s eyes couldn¡¯t help but widen in total shock. He had never heard of such an insane amount as 99% of someone¡¯s soul being used in a contract. When he was thinking about them all evolving the max he had even dared to dream was thirty percent because anything more would take multiple rebirths to heal for even the strongest souls. Before he could even react the system accepted his oath and a formless, shapeless pressure descended on them all. A pure and golden light that was nearly in a liquid state started to stream out of Jacob and into each of the monsters in equal amount, even the children. The warm light entered them and filled them with energy as Jacob became increasingly pale. Finally the light stopped and a message appeared before each of them. *Congratulations- you have formed a pact with a higher form of soul energy and will be transformed accordingly upon your next rebirth. The price the of the contract will be taken into account at that time. But the message Jacob received was slightly different. *Congratulations- you have formed multiple pacts with several monster¡¯s at the same time with the maximum price possible for their evolution. The system has noted this and upgraded the reward accordingly. For your selfless and powerful sacrifice you have been awarded the soul bound Celestial Grimoire. Reward will be given upon next rebirth. Due to the immensity of your sacrifice you will need to undergo four rebirths to completely heal from this soul sacrifice type injury. Stat¡¯s will be reduced by 99% of total until injury is healed. It was only thanks to his experience and massive pain tolerance that he was able to remain conscious. Finally after they had all dismissed the message he showed his everything to Belial and sent what his mission was currently for this dungeon as well as his time limit. After a few questions then Belial understood everything and turned grim. He now was connected by the soul and he understood at least a hint of the magnitude of what was in head of them. He agreed with the plan to get stronger as fast as possible and understood what to do. It would essentially rest of them to clear the dungeon so that he could at least undergo one rebirth and regain consciousness. They could both feel his soul shutting down to try and heal the injury. So really had no choice but to leave it to them. As he heard the reassurance from belial he collapsed into darkness and simply floated their. The darkness was all around and time held no meaning thus he simply curled into a ball and tried to protect his sanity. Chapter 7- Rewards for everybody Belial Pov Never in all his years did think he would willingly put his fate in the hands of a human. Thanks to their bloodline that specialized in bonding with and bringing out the best of other bloodlines they were highly coveted by many races but their penchant for ceaseless warfare mad them feared even in the far reaches of the cosmos. Humans excelled in the crucible of battle despite their weak bodies simply because they were extremely gifted in killing. They were as divided as they came as a race with no single direction of thought or even a general goal. Some were saints without peer and some were so dark hearted they gave abyssal demons chills. They were simply unpredictable and uncontrollable. In his youth he hated humans with a passion and thought them the base of all the universes ill¡¯s, but as he grew his hatred faded as he saw more races that were just as bad. He was one of the oldest and strongest monsters in this dungeon but the aura given off by this human teenager made him wary. Now that he knew why he was beyond glad that he had listened to the human. All in all it was in equal benefit to bond him out right since they were essentially trapped here fighting an endless battle for survival. The rest of them had no way to leave the dungeon and he couldn¡¯t abandon them. Eventually they would be killed and their sentience erased and absorbed by the dungeon. He never would have imagined that this boy would have such a tale to tell, and all his instincts shouted that he was just getting started. His Tier 1 class was already godly strong for such a small tier 1 world and once it evolved he would continue to grow stronger than his level could begin to dictate. His destiny lied deep into the cosmos and for the first time in centuries he had something to work towards. He quickly shared all the information with the several adults present through their new soul bond. They were all quite old as well and had seen enough to understand the magnitude of their choice now. They all agreed as well though that the best thing to do was clear the dungeon. It no longer held any power over them so they were all looking forward to a little payback. He quickly and gently rested jacob on Nioh¡¯s back so they could all move together. He stayed by her side and thanked her for introducing this outstanding young man to them. She had single handedly changed all their fates for the better, even the children. It was hard to tell but he could clearly see her blush with pride. He undid the illusion around her and let her true form be shown. He had everyone under illusion spells before because the dungeon would stop at nothing to kill them if it knew it had Legend class variations inside it. Nioh for instance was a three tailed Kyuubi, he himself was an elder flood dragon, and most of the others had similarly legendary bloodlines. The best illusion was close to the truth so he had made them simple but powerful and only changed enough details so that they couldn¡¯t be recognized as anything but variances of their original races. When the spell dropped he immediately gathered all the kids so they rode on his back and roared to start the slaughter. In only a week they had destroyed everything on the floor and rushed the boss. They each bombarded it with their respective magics until it was dead so no one took any casualties. As soon as the boss died a reddish-golden glow covered Jacob and he started thrashing. He recognized it as an automatic rebirth with the system¡¯s help so he quickly had Nioh set him down and simply had them watch over him while he took the kids further away to play. It was a chore keeping the kids entertained for three days but with help he managed it. When the light faded and the thrashing stopped he was still unconscious but that was unsurprising. The extent of the damage to his soul was keeping him asleep till at least 75% had been healed. He quickly led them all to continue the same process on the next floor. Since all the experience was being channeled to Jacob none of them had evolved yet but they would once Jacob was able to wake up since they were all at the level limit long ago and were only restricted by the dungeon. They continued this for two more floors until finally after the fourth floor boss was dead Jacob lit up again but this time it lasted for six days rather than three like the two times before. When it was done Jacob stood on his own and looked back to normal, everyone was dead exhausted by this point so they all dropped to the ground when the system¡¯s pressure materialized again. A beam of light that seemed to warp space around itself appeared then they all lost consciousness one by one as the light washed over them. ¡°Rest up guys, I¡¯ll take it over from here and get you your vengeance.¡± Jacob¡¯s Pov When the last of them were sleeping and they all turned into motes of light that were drawn into the grimoire he finally grabbed it and the expected message popped up. *Celestial Grimoire- This grimoire is the manifestation of the power of Jacob Dawn and is bound to his soul, as such it can never be lost, stolen, dirtied, or damaged while the owner is alive. As the highest level of grimoire that pushes the limit of the current world the system has given the reward ¡®Planar space upgrade¡¯ in exchange for locking its ability to fit the power limits of the current world. This ability is permanent and creates its own Plane of existence that follows the same laws as the owner¡¯s home planet. This space is completely independant and will grow with grimoire. Note- all current bonded monsters are undergoing a ¡®extreme¡¯ evolution and will not be available for at least 5 months. Note- As this item is both linked to the owner¡¯s soul and is a manifestation of the owners power it can be used to empower celestial magic cast through it. He could feel the link just like the bond from Belial and the others, like a ball of heat that he could pinpoint and right now all of them were muted and leading inside the grimoire. He could feel his soul was healed so he licked his lips and said ¡°Status.¡± [Name: Jacob Dawn Tier: 3 Level: 33 Deaths: 0 EXP: 10% Titles: First among Immortals (0.00000001 sec.) When he snapped out of it he remembered the scene of god¡¯s fighting like enslaved gladiators he grew solemn. He was nowhere near their level and they were relegated to entertainment slaves so what did that make him in the grand scheme of things? A slightly stronger bug? He slowly thought about where he was at and where he was heading as he came to the decision that at the very least he needed spells to augment his body and that would require a massive amount of Regeneration, yet most of his spells benefited from his huge mana pool. With a sigh he dumped all his points into his WIL and felt the rate he could suck in mana skyrocket by more than five times. He could now regenerate over 160K per second. If he let it all go and charge his armor then it wouldn¡¯t be far from Mithril at this point. It was getting late so he decided to speed things up. While they slept and evolved he played around with his new spell and found that If he went all in and used two million MP along with his full Regeneration during the one minute cast time the he could summon an evolved version of an angel with four wings called a ¡®Cherubim Juggernaut¡¯. The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation. It was about six and a half feet tall covered in glowing golden plate armor filled with dense runes and inscriptions that seemed to be about six inches thick at least with a huge spiked morningstar that when he tried to lift he could even make it roll with all of his three thousand strength, needless to say that its damage would be devastating. It took roughly 150K MP a second to sustain but distance didn¡¯t even seem to matter. Most summons couldn¡¯t go beyond a certain distance from their summoner without their upkeep going through the roof but this one was different. It didn¡¯t have a max distance or time limit and he could telepathically communicate with it. He could feel that it was thankful for something and had full sentience but it could only receive orders, it could talk but he couldn¡¯t understand so he sent it to kill monsters at its fastest rate. Even to his perception it completely disappeared like a mirage its speed was so fast. He could only hear distant booms and crashes from all around so he simply headed for the boss room. When he got to the entrance door he could still hear the booms so he set up camp and ate like a starving man at a buffet. Right as he finished he got another surprise. The angel had just contacted him and indicated it had cleared the floor by sending a picture of corridors filled with hill like bodies. He immediately sent out his mana to the far sides of the floor and was stunned, there wasn¡¯t a single living thing left and it had only been a few hours since it was summoned. Even his new family all together took a week or so to clear a floor and there was over twenty of them. In a little under a minute the angel was back and he picked up the camp and pushed open the door. This time it was a enormous turtle that could use earth magic but the fight was without suspense because the angel just bashed him around until his defenses shattered and after that it only took one hit to finish him. With a ding and light he leveled up some more but he didn¡¯t get a message about rebirth so ignored it and continued into the sixth floor. The scene simply repeated all the way until the end of the ninth floor. An enormous phoenix made of black flames was the final boss. Thanks to its massive regeneration the fight took a while but once again the angel finished it without him getting a scratch. When it let out its death cry an altar made of the same black flames rose from its ashes and on the altar was a row of items and skill books. Five books were all set pieces from the spell series ¡®Cursed Flame Regalia¡¯ which essentially wasn¡¯t much different from the spell he got from [Tomb of the forgotten kings]. Even three of the items did the same thing and made it essentially into a passive skill. Another spell book was called Spell combination, which basically allowed him to combine many spells with similar effect together into a far stronger spell. He learned the spells and combined his bone armor spell and the cursed flame armor into the spell ¡®King¡¯s regalia¡¯, as he did his staff and robes as well as the three armor pieces in front of him all turned to ash but the spell remained a passive one. If he had to guess his combination sacrificed the items to make the spell permanently passive which was more than fine by him. The only other thing on the altar was the last spell book called ¡®Mana Body¡¯. It essentially allowed him to use his massive regeneration to slowly augment his body with mana. It was basically a godsend for mages but the downside was that it took 100 billion MP just for the first level which added one thousand to each STR, VIT, and AGI. and it doubled in cost from there on per level. This was a legendary spell in his past life for mages because with each level the description changes along with the amount needed. So in stage two you would get 2K in each then 3K and so on. Needless to say he learned it for twenty SP. Almost instantly he could physically feel the spell working in tandem with his huge regeneration. In a little under 2 hours he would have another 1K in each of his physical stats. In a day he would have an additional 3K in total. At this point he would continue to get stronger even if he was incapacitated for a few years. But now the problem was that he was still over six months ahead of schedule to meet up with Nina and he was Loath to just be lazy. Running the same dungeon multiple times in a row would give diminishing returns so he couldn¡¯t do that either. Looks like he would have to conquer another one in six months as well. When the countdown hit zero he was once again in front of the dungeon. Before the guards could even register he was there he was already gone. Heading towards the next high rank dungeon. This one happened to be favored by those with fire magic because it was essentially an enormous plain filled with a blizzard and a bunch of ice monsters that were weak to fire, mostly golem¡¯s. He re-summoned the Cherubim and let the slaughter continue. For almost three months it continued until they beat the Ice wraith that was final boss. The rewards were almost identical in function so he combined it just the same and put greatsword that seemed to made of ice into his inventory as all the others turned to ash. When he opened his status again not much had changed except his physical stats kept growing like a monster. He dumped all his extra stats to his INT this time and felt his maximum threshold more than double. He wanted more WIS at first but his instincts told him that if his regeneration per second exceeded him maximum mana capacity then he would probably explode before he even knew what went wrong. Now that he had 231 skill points he was dying to know what he could buy from his celestial magic tree. This time he didn¡¯t bolt away from the entrance but walked out leisurely. The guards all knew who he was so they didn¡¯t bat an eye although most of them had sweat on there brow until he walked past. That was the effect of his mana presence skill, they could instinctively tell that he was someone they couldn¡¯t provoke. He noticed a lot more players in the streets on his way to the store but it was now going on the three year mark so they would keep getting more prominent for about another week or so then the beast tide would hit and their numbers would see a massive boom. Papper money was already in a tailspin and gold¡¯s value was steadily replacing it. The government was also in shambles and would collapse any day now he guessed. There were about twenty people or so present when he walked in the flap but they all froze and started breathing heavy until he was past and then the sighs and whispers started which he totally tuned out. He smiled at the strung out receptionist as he pulled open the display. He then accessed his celestial magic tab and three options greated him. * Starfall- This spell summons a shower of small meteors in an area decided by initial mana investment and sustained at the cost of 1,000MP per second per meteor. No sooner had he bought and learned it than the display changed, which had never happened to him before so he figured it had to do with his celestial magic. Another three options were on the screen and he had the feeling that once he picked they too would change out and vanish so he read and pondered over them very thoroughly. *Heaven¡¯s Eye- This spell allows you to see all there is to see within an area around the user. Unlocks all crafting disciplines and grants an innate understanding of the basics on each. Cost 500,000,000G and 50 SP to learn He mentally grabbed both Cosmic mana and Cosmic crafting then just like he thought the other option faded away into nothing. He didn¡¯t know if he would ever see the spells he lost again but the pair he grabbed was just too good to pass up. He instantly learned them both and watched his SP count drop to 11. As he walked back out of the shop he noticed he picked up a tail. The man was good but you don¡¯t spend years in a dungeon without learning to spot if your being followed. Just then he felt a pull from his grimoire and an in a few seconds all the guys who had been evolving started waking up. With a huge grin he sped up and almost immediately lost his tail as he headed for the house. Chapter 8- Rescue It only took a few seconds and a couple sonic booms later and he was at the house. Luckily he had fairly short hair now or else his hair would always look like a rats nest thanks to the insane speeds he could travel. Almost no one was home besides the duty rotation since they were all in the dungeons or at the training compound all day. These early days were the most important to get ahead of the competition. Now that he didn¡¯t have anything to worry about he summoned the grimoire and willed himself to enter inside. He almost instantly found himself standing in fairly barren plain of scrub grass and rocks. All the monsters were in golden cocoons of varying sizes, but they were all covered in cracks that were expanding at a phenomenal rate. The first to appear was from the largest egg and was Belial. He almost couldn¡¯t compare to how he looked before. Instead of a serpent like body he now looked like an eastern dragon and was three times as big as he was before. After looking around he asked with some hesitation why the land was so barren. He explained that the pillar of light he saw was the one from the system that granted both this grimoire and the independant space they were in. After just looking at him for a minute he asked if he new anything about grimoires, which he said no to other than what the system had said. ¡°Ok so I have some small experience with grimoires from a long time ago so I know a few things. First thing is that all grimoires have an independent space of varying sizes and they are all entirely fed and grown by the user¡¯s mana. It''s not good to inject a lot at once especially when there is nothing that can regulate it but simply linking all your excess regeneration to it would help it to grow. For a place like this it would be best if you could find a couple different kinds of ore veins they they would be permeated by the mana and slowly change over time.¡± ¡°Hmm, I see. Would plants help as well?¡± ¡°Yes but there is no telling how it will react with normal plants. They will evolve just like a normal world but since it''s a plane there is no telling exactly what they will evolve into.¡± ¡°Ok, my family outside has many mines under our control from Iron to nickel so I¡¯ll just grab some from them. I¡¯ll link my mana to it as I leave and toss in a few mountains when I¡¯m traveling.¡± Now that everyone was out of their egg they all asked the same questions but more along the lines of ¡®where are we?¡¯ When he stepped back out he linked his regeneration to the grimoire and heard a small yelp from Belial. ¡®What is it?¡¯ He was nearly deafened by his scream ¡°How the hell is your mana type Cosmic? That should be impossible to any world below tier three. Spill you stinky brat, how the fuck did you do this?¡± A bit taken back at his hysteria he explained the process the was dead silence for a while before he just let out a tired sigh and grumbled about burning out his heart from shock and a shattered common sense. He didn¡¯t understand at all so he dismissed it and walked around till he saw the family butler talking to one of the maids. He walked up and put a hand on his shoulder which gave him a small jump. ¡°Hey Nathan, have you seen my dad around? I need to talk to him about some business.¡± ¡°Ah young master Jacob, I believe your father just left for the dungeon this morning so he won¡¯t be back for quite some time. Is it something I can help with?¡± ¡°Hmm, maybe. I need the location of the mines controlled by our enemies our underground organizations we are already of terrible terms with. Preferably I need one or two of each kind of ore we know of.¡± ¡°Ah If it''s Just that then I can help. We have already destroyed several that were in control of many assets but some simply weren¡¯t worth destroying. They are mostly in Asia, China, and Africa though. All the domestic ones have already been acquired by us.¡± ¡°That¡¯s alright just give me the locations and my mask, they won¡¯t exist for much longer. Oh right, has the beast tide arrived yet?¡± ¡°Our intelligence has discovered them heading towards multiple cities including chicago and went to intercept, they will be here at roughly ten AM tomorrow morning.¡± ¡°Send all those that are guarding chicago to wherever they need the most help. I¡¯ll destroy the one¡¯s heading here by myself.¡± With a look that clearly said ¡®Stop breaking my common sense you demon¡¯ he replied with a slow ¡°Yes, young master.¡± And left to get him the information on the mines. It was already late so he took a nap and left in the early morning for the beast horde. He was besieged by his dad¡¯s reporter on the way out and had no choice but to bring her with him. I¡¯ll get you for this Nathan. He knew very well who leaked the news to the press. It was far earlier than he remembered it being but that might also be a mistake on his part. Back then he was in the mountains hunting when the beast tide happened and he only learned about it months later. The beast tide numbered in the several million but they were packed closely together. Luckily he had enough mana to cover the area of the entire horde since his maximum was roughly fifty five miles. He pulled up his grimoire and cast the spell.... It couldn¡¯t have been more obvious. A black whirlpool that opened to the stars was ripped open just in front of the beast horde. After roughly ten seconds it had expanded to about fifty five miles in diameter. Twenty seconds later a streak of light shot through the opening right into the middle of them. Everything was erased in a diameter of thirty feet and only a crater remained. Within seconds of the explosion the lights became like a downpour. After nearly thirty minutes the pits were so overlapped they formed another enormous crater and there was still one single monster standing tall in the pit. He turned to the reporter and said ¡°Wait here.¡± Then bolted to the figure. He crossed the distance in of twenty or so miles in in about thirty seconds. When they stood face to face he could tell that it was only a field boss and didn¡¯t have any intelligence. He nodded his head and cast his king¡¯s regalia to summon a greatsword. It was made entirely of bone wrapped in solidified fire that froze all it touched. The beast feel the power of the weapon and grinned. With one strike it was done and it''s head rolled at his feet. The stump was frozen in a layer of ice. He dismissed the blade and looked at his inventory. Over 225 slots were filled with random drops from the field monsters that he could sell to the shop. Luckily it looked like they were all at least rare level as the glowed a bright blue in his inventory. The best this was that they were in stacks of a hundred for a lot of them. He felt himself level up a few times but he ignored it. He closed the inventory then remembered what he told Belial. He didn¡¯t know if meteors would be valuable at all but what did doesn¡¯t want his own meteorite to play with. He spread out all his mana and used it like an enormous shovel as he scooped out the entire impact zone into his grimoire, then sped back to the reporter and camera crew who seemed to be having a mental breakdown. When he suddenly appeared to their eyes one lady directly fainted while one looked at him like a god and the others all stared at him with fear in their eyes. He smiled and said ¡°Well now that that¡¯s done i¡¯m going shopping so I¡¯ll see you guys later.¡± He ignored the sound of there common sense shattering and headed to the shop. Within a few minutes he was walking up to the main desk and asked for an appraisal on bulk items to sell. He was led to a back room with two people in what looked much like a hanger for planes. The lady on the right wore a knee length skirt and black hoodie while the man was in a full suite with black hair and contact lenses. The floor was covered in mats so he just started emptying his inventory one by one. Almost every stack of 100 made their own small hill so he kept moving until they were all lined up in orderly mounds with the appraisers going through it. He waited at their desk for a few hours while they got a price ready. Soon they came up with a price ¡°10 billion Gold.¡± He simply stared at the man who was barely able to contain his greed. Finally he said ¡°Are sure you want to do that mister?¡± When he was about to reply with arrogance oozing over his face he pulled out the VIP card. Instantly the man¡¯s face was bleached white and his throat was frozen in fear. The lady instantly turned and slugged him hard enough to break his nose then turned and bowed while apologizing profusely. ¡°I can forget this and even even accept only the 10 billion he offered if he pays for a top tier inventory and adds it to the trade.¡± The lady instantly glared at the man who was about to argue and accepted the deal. He left with a happy expression. All in all those parts were worth probably 18 billion or so just from sheer quantity so now that he was able to get another top tier inventory essentially for less than half price he was very happy. He bound the inventory with his blood and made it disappear. Now that he had two he would probably never have to fear running out of space. Suddenly he froze and had an ugly look on this face. ¡®Hey Belial is it possible to store my items in the grimoire rather than an inventory?¡¯ ¡®Well yes, that¡¯s what most people do who own grimoires because unlike inventories they can effectively grow infinitely with mana and don¡¯t even have an item limit. Why do you ask?¡¯ ¡®Ah uh no reason it just hadn¡¯t occurred to me before now. Well gotta go talk to you latter.¡¯ and hurriedly ended the conversation. Fuck, fuck, fuck me. I freaking shot myself in the ass. He was now extremely pissed because he overlooked something so obvious. It took him quite a while to calm down then he thought hey i can just give one to Nina when she¡¯s don with her job. And suddenly he was a bit happier. He would keep one to pick up and hold all the loot he intended to sell then the ones he wanted to keep would go in the grimoire. Although at this point Nina probably had a more average inventory like a 10 or 50 slot and she would be with him for a while so it should probably go to someone who really needed it. Then he thought of just the person. Enjoying this book? Seek out the original to ensure the author gets credit. He asked around and found out his older sister was in the Tomb of forgotten kings with her party so he headed there to see them. Compared to when he first cleared it the place was bustling and busy. He didn¡¯t mind all the people crowding around the notice board and went to the counter. When it was his turn he asked to know which floor his sister Karly Dawn was on and instantly had his mood change when the receptionist¡¯s face went pale. In a shaking voice she said how they were stranded on the eighth floor. No one else was strong enough to rescue them and they were too injured to make it back to the surface. The news had just been received a few hours ago and they had already sent word to try and contact the family. He quickly suppressed his shaking and opened his stat screen. Then threw all his free points into his WIS. then confirmed. [Name: Jacob Dawn Tier: 3 Level: 3,402 Deaths: 0 EXP: 19% Titles: First among Immortals (0.00000001 sec.) No one moved again before he entered the dungeon. Once he was inside he moved off the platform and once more summoned his angel. It seemed to sense his distress and they both took off so fast they left ripples in space and the air tore apart with a sound similar to a scream. They were past the first floor in minutes then the second, third, and ll the way to the eighth. He desperately manipulated his raw mana and launched it like a sonar to every corner of the level. He quickly found their location and saw that nearly all of them were on their last legs and surrounded. He quickly poured all his mana into kings regalia then launched himself towards them, straight towards them through the dungeon walls. Crash after crash echoed outward as he bulldozed through, exchanging damage for speed. Finally with one final crash the wall directly behind the monsters exploded into shrapnel and cut down a few of them. The entire battlefield froze as man and monster alike turned to see just what madness would blast through a dungeons walls to get here. When the dust cleared what looked like a bone demon stood there. ¡°Who dares to lay a hand on my cute sister?¡± Words that almost literally froze the rotting blood in the undeads veins rang out of armor plated helmet. Suddenly a massive angel that stood nearly ten feet tall with a morning star nearly as big and a circular shield that was as big as its body seemed to materialize behind the figure. The pressure that blasted out from these two wasn¡¯t something that common monsters could deal with even if they were undead, not to mention that angels were a natural anathema to the undead. With one swing a shockwave of holy might ripped through the undead and disintegrated them while healing the humans and a visible rate. The man stepped forward and addressed the leader who just so happened to be his sister. ¡°Do you recognize me?¡± he asked they all just stared until finally Karly sighed and said ¡°Jeez you''re just as much of a dork as always aren¡¯t you Jacob. You practically shouted who you were when you said sister you dummy.¡± The helmet fell away and his blushing face was seen beneath. He was red all the way to the tips of his ears, and it once more shattered the common sense of those present. He just basically demolished an entire dungeon floor in seconds and was still being ragged on by his sister. They were all healed so it wasn¡¯t long before they were ready to move again. After a few hours they set up camp to rest and let his newly evolved angel keep watch. When her friends were all asleep Karly finally crawled her way into Jacobs tent and he silently held her as she cried and bawled herself to sleep. Even after that he let her hug him in her sleep and kept her company all night. She was a very strong woman but she was also naturally emotional as well and being responsible for the near shave with death for all of them had hurt her deeply even though she logically new they were all immortal. Death didn¡¯t just suddenly get less traumatic just because you knew you would come back. No matter what tough girl act she tried to put on he was always there when it got to be too much and she needed a shoulder to cry on. Of course he had been sworn by every known god in the universe that if he ever spilled the beans for any reason she would rip his manhood off. But the safety of his manhood was secondary to her mental welfare. Even the perverted eavesdroppers outside his tent who were hopping for a very different ending couldn¡¯t mistake this scene and could only slink away feeling like shit. Of course they were all women so they didn¡¯t feel as bad as a guy would in their spot. When morning came Karly crept out of the tent and it was as if nothing had ever happened and the last night was nothing but a figment of their imagination. She was also the first one up so she started a fire and cooked breakfast. Soon all of them came drifting over to the fire led by their stomachs. They joked around and blew off steam for a while before they broke camp and he had an idea. If the grimoire could store living things then it would be able to store them for a while right. Granted there was nothing there to eat for now but it shouldn¡¯t take more than a day of get back to the entrance. He asked Belial to warn the others that they would have guests then brought it up to Karly. She immediately agreed and he brought them all into his grimoire. There was some choking and gagging sounds at first but when he asked Belial said that they were simply not used to the density of the mana so it would take a few minutes to adjust especially since his mana was of the cosmic type. He also made the comment that if a cultivator knew what he had and understood its significance they would stop at nothing to get in here. The way explained it was that cosmic mana to a cultivator had another name called Origin Ki. This Ki could be absorbed by any cultivator for dozens of times the efficiency and with the density here it would simply be like starving a world class eater for a few weeks then throwing them in front of an all you can eat buffet. In general cultivators were handicapped in most every tier 1 world because the Ki density was to thin. When it reached a certain level that world would have already evolved into a tier two world and that was the minimum density needed to have any kind of significant result in cultivating. But the density in his grimoire was already almost at the level of a tier 2 world and was still expanding. Right now it was only maybe a three or four dozen square miles, but the density was rising faster than it could be converted to solid matter. In that case it would soon start forming mana crystals even though it wasn¡¯t even half a percent as large as it needed to be to truly be considered a tier 2 plane. Other than the space restrictions and keeping an eye on the kids so they didn¡¯t play around and get hurt by the edge this was the ideal situation for all of them in the plane. He smiled and said ok then dismissed the angel so that the regeneration could go back into the grimoire. Since he was already on the eighth floor it would be alot faster to just beat the dungeon than go back so he blitzed to the boss room and once again wiped the floor with the royal guards and threw the drops into his inventory without thinking. The final boss went down to a meteor storm that just barely covered the room but was still sending more than a hundred meteors a second. After about ten seconds he heard a ding and stopped the spell. There was nothing left of the boss except a pile of items. Again without a look to tossed them into his inventory and waited in the safe room. When the time was almost up he let his sister¡¯s party out which had learned was called ¡®the roses¡¯. They were all a little surprised at the change of scenery but happy to finally leave the dungeon. With the time he had left he gave a proper scolding to the lot of them on their stupidity, arrogance, and cheap pride that got them into this mess. He didn¡¯t even let his sister off because she new she deserved it. After a few minutes though he sighed and gave them pointers to better themselves then handed over the item box and broke his connection to it so she could bond it. They had all seen it in the store so they knew how expensive it was. When there jaws were done dropping they finally just shook their head and went on their way with a very battered common sense. Chapter 9- Ridiculous existence When he got back to the house it was in an uproar. Not even a second after opened the door two of his aunts rushed from the second floor and ambushed him at the door. One grabbed his feet and one grabbed around his chest, meanwhile he was struggling to process this as they dragged him up the stairs to the conference room where it seemed like all the rest of his family was meeting. After he was unceremoniously dumped head first into the chair he could only scramble his way into a sitting position in the most dignified way possible while the rest just looked at him. ¡°Sooo what¡¯s going on?¡± Several cousins tried to strangle him at that point while a few uncles just laughed. Finally his dad clapped his hands and everybody quieted down. ¡°Son you just blew your way through eight dungeon layers to rescue your sister, annihilated a monster horde several million strong, gave a 20 BILLION gold gift to your sister, and completely cleared two high tier dungeons in under a year. The monster horde was all caught entirely on camera, your sister is even now flaunting your gift at the dungeon entrance to all her friends and your still saying ¡®what¡¯s going on¡¯? No It''s probably better to see this yourself.¡± after that he pulled up a news video that looked almost unedited from the journalist that saw the beast horde. It zoomed in on the front runners of the horde and portrayed all their ferocity. Next it focused on him looking out their for a second then yawning, he didn¡¯t remember doing that but it was also very early and he had just woken up not long ago. In the camera lens a turbulent golden halo seemed to surround him and looked like a heat wave before it all condensed into a golden book that suddenly appeared from nowhere and hovered in front of him. The next moment he clearly said ¡®Starfall¡¯ and a vortex of the deepest black appeared and covered the sky. Within moments shooting stars pelted the ground and when it finally ended it showed him walking into the dust for a moment then were there was once broken up and destroyed earth there was now an enormous crater. It seems as if without a sound the earth just disappeared. Next it showed him walking back and casually walking by before he suddenly disappeared with a sonic boom left in his wake with the camera still watching. A news lady suddenly appeared and started talking in a shaken tone. ¡°This footage was just brought in by one of crews and has not been tampered with in any way. Our experts estimate that at least three fourths of chicago would have been destroyed if that beast horde had managed to get inside the city. There numbers were roughly estimated at 10 MILLION various species of monsters.¡± At this point her hands were shaking and her voice was getting higher pitched as her co-host stopped her to get a drink of water even though he looked just as shaken. ¡°Ladies and gentlemen we have it on good authority that this man is named Jacob Dawn and is the son of Markus Dawn, the CEO of Dawn industries. As you can see in the video this boy of no more than 23 years of age just annihilated millions of monsters in seconds with no apparent effort at all. Ladies and gentlemen if this isn¡¯t a declaration of the times to come then I certainly don¡¯t know what is. Three of the four self proclaimed guilds have given him the moniker ¡°One Man Armageddon¡± otherwise known as OMA, and have created an entirely new classification on the country level danger scale called ¡®Calamity¡¯. This means that he has the capability to annihilate a small nation overnight by himself. ¡°This breaking news is all we have for now but we will let the public know as soon as we discover any new information.¡± The video suddenly cut off into static and he was left staring into space. Finally he looked around and said ¡°ok i can see where your all coming from and there is a very simple way out of this.¡± They all leaned forward as he said ¡°Simply tell them that you have been running tests since one of your workers accidentally discovered a gate three years ago and that this is only one of the initial phases of the player transformation and you can then slowly control the rate that the knowledge is spread and therefore becomes common.¡± His dad finally let out a sigh and said ¡°Can you please refrain from any impulsive actions over the next year or two? I know you have a plan but you need to think about every-¡± ¡°The plan changed.¡± Everyone stopped and looked at him with barely contained frustration. ¡°A few hundred thousand or so elites isn¡¯t enough any more. I¡¯ve learned some new information and that is that there are many planets out there where the average newborn has powers that are currently considered the domain of gods myth. If we wish to be able to protect ourselves we will still have elites but they must be far stronger than we initially thought. The average player must now be at the level we thought of as elites before which are capable of fighting those stronger than themselves and elites must be able to solo clear a dungeon of their level if not higher. ¡°That display I put on with the beast horde must become a common sight in some way. Skills and abilities that allow you to fight massive numbers of enemies or extremely strong enemies must be turned into common place if we ever hope to survive. Our organization must become a leading world wide superpower if we hope to make this wild dream a reality, and we must do it within fifteen years.¡± He watched as all their faces drained of blood and a few started trembling. ¡°Make no mistake, this is very possible but it will be very difficult. Did everyone here learn about the black holes like I asked you to?¡± Every head nodded and he sighed in relief. ¡°Ok, that will help us greatly. Get every single person we have that wants to become a mage of any kind and have them be taught about the black holes just like we were. I will be teaching everyone here about my meditation technique that not only removes the restriction on needing to remain still like most techniques have but it is classified as a rank 9 at level 1 and its level raises by 9 each level depending on your understanding of black holes. There is only one thing I have to warn you about. Never let your mana regeneration per second exceed your maximum total mana or you will explode from the influx of mana. ¡°As I¡¯m teaching you directly you can also teach others and that is what I¡¯m counting on. Those you teach won¡¯t be able to successfully teach the skill to others but that will also help us to become a world power as well. Any questions?¡± A few hands went up so he pointed to his uncle Jake since he knew he wouldn¡¯t beat around the bush and could guess what he was going to ask about. ¡°Several of us aren¡¯t planning to be mages boy so can other classes still learn it. And if so will there be drawbacks and such? Wouldn¡¯t it be more beneficial to learn other skills?¡± ¡°That¡¯s a good question and yes you can learn it, meditation techniques can be learned by any class and with the exception of very few classes who shun mana altogether then any skill or spell that uses mana will benefit extremely well from this. There won¡¯t be any drawbacks that I¡¯m aware because I¡¯m the inventor of it so you won¡¯t even need to spend skill points to learn it, and that will extend to your student¡¯s as well. ¡°Anyone else? No? Alright then let''s get started after the meeting gets over.¡± They all kind of shifted and glanced around while his dad said ¡°Son you were the entire reason we called the meeting today.¡± He flushed at that and just let out an awkward ¡°Ah, I see.¡± Before uncle jake stood and said ¡°Well then what are we waiting for. Let¡¯s go learn this spell then.¡± And suddenly he was being carried like a trussed up hog yet again into the training room at the end of the hall. He was really hoping this wouldn¡¯t become a thing. The rest of the day was spent teaching his family Transcendental Meditation, but when they finally learned it it was called ¡®Mana Void¡¯. He couldn¡¯t figure out what caused the change so he just shrugged it off. The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. Support the author by reading it there. Immediately after they all learned it they started setting up classes and such for their people. After a while when everyone was above tier 2 or so he would teach them king''s regalia but they simply didn¡¯t have the skill with mana manipulation to do it right now. When he was finally alone he let out a sigh and went to look for Nina. Everyone should be back by now so he didn¡¯t figure it would take to long to find her. He had eventually looked everywhere he could think of but didn''t find her. He wasn¡¯t planning on breaking his promise so he resolved to make a pass through the dungeons tomorrow. There was now a class rotation going on so he went back to his room and decided to crash. Yet as soon as he opened the door he was struck with the sight of Nina sitting on his bed reading a book and ignoring him. With a mischievous smile he shut the door and entered mock stealth mode as he creeped up the foot of the bed. He could clearly see her fighting a smile and a blush as he started lightly run his fingers over her skin and slowly work his way up. Closer and closer he came to the forbidden garden as her blush steadily deepened and her breathing became slightly more erratic. Finally reached her thigh and ever so gently moved it aside till it lay flat then started kissing his way up. Finally his head went all the way in her skirt length nightgown and he saw what made it difficult to continue the game. She wasn¡¯t wearing any panties. Seeing this he steeled his will and slowed down even further as he seemingly worshipped this beautiful flower in front of him. However his reflexive gulp was clearly audible in the otherwise quiet room and he could hear her satisfied giggle. Finally she simply wrapped her legs around his head and said ¡°Now until I say so you are going pleasure me as punishment.¡± He only laughed evilly and said ¡°Yes mistress.¡± Which made her blush even deeper although he couldn¡¯t see it. For hours he ate her out and brought her to the very leading edge of a climax but didn¡¯t let her release. At long last after nearly three hours of this Nina broke first and almost screamed ¡°For fucks sake fucking fuck me already you fucking ass hole.¡± He didn¡¯t hesitate an instant and latched onto her lips as he speared her with all his might and cracked his headboard. They both came instantly but he didn¡¯t stop pounded over and over till both of them were only half conscious through the pleasure and they both fell asleep with him inside her laying on their sides. With a reluctant sigh he got up and quickly showered but let Nina rest for now. She would be fighting frequently for a long time after this so he let her rest while she had the chance. Very soon he would need to start buying an extreme amount of shards so he could start assembling Marut¡¯s armor, he even had a few thoughts on if he could improve the armor with his profession. But if at all possible that was a very long time down the road. In about six months to a year the armors shards would start showing up in the store and he would need one of each piece to craft the armor. The pieces would each start out at about 3 million apiece in the store then after a short time when no one was able to piece it together it would drop rapidly to about 3 thousand apiece. After that it wouldn¡¯t change much until someone started buying them again in bulk in about ten years. That was when the set would finally be assembled in his previous life. Each set piece had eleven shards and there were nine pieces to the set. The only reason he knew the combination needed was that the guild who finally put it together had used the entire thing as a publicity move. This was the only one set like it that anyone knew about and they had done a step by step movie down to the last detail to make themselves look better, even going so far as to explain the process they used to narrow down which options they had and finally which one¡¯s had succeeded in making the armor. He had memorized it entirely at that time because all the top 10 players in the world were leagues above what he could ever hope to accomplish and they were a lot like Idols to him. It had essentially taken an entire guild fifteen years worth of savings to craft this armor set and now he was doing it way ahead of schedule. As soon as he got the armor set and reached tier five was when he felt confident he could slow down and start working on mastering his spells and abilities. It would take a minimum of five years step on the road of mastery at that point. Using skill books was a way to shorten the time but it would also make his foundation shaky. He knew that when you reached tier six or seven then how you used your abilities and and how high you had mastered them would play a bigger part in your strength than anything else. With a high enough mastery you could manipulate the magic however you liked. You could compress a firestorm into the size of a fireball and erase nearly anything it hit. He could possibly cast an ice mine on a warriors shield and direct the blast entirely outward so the warrior remained unharmed. He could freely control starfall and launch it from his hand or charge it so that instead of a massive shower of small meteors he could just summon a single meteor hundreds or thousands of times as large as the others. The possibilities were essentially endless because when you try to master one kind of magic you would naturally learn that types manipulation spell. The manipulation spells were on another level if you wanted to master but they were the building block for true mastery and couldn¡¯t be skipped. This was one reason he would have to take a long time to essentially step out of the spotlight and train. If he timed it right then right as the really high leveled people started to realize what they needed to do to get stronger he would be coming out of his seclusion. But before that he needed to get both himself and Nina to tier four at least and tier 5 at best if he was lucky. Before that though he went and bought an item from the shop. The item was shaped like a scepter but its function was simply to hold a single spell indefinitely. The spell could be used again and again as long as the item wasn¡¯t destroyed and enough mana was channeled into it to activate the spell. It cost just under 5 million gold but it would save him from having to stay at the mansion and repeatedly cast Cosmic Rebirth. He meandered through the streets just to see how everything was changing and eventually came back to the mansion. He channeled the spel into the scepter and handed it off to Nathan after explaining what it did. He just sighed and silently bid farewell to yet another piece of his dwindling common sense as he informed the necessary people. Just as he got back to the room he heard Nina getting dressed so he walked in and gave her a kiss ¡°I heard you are partial to using greatswords right.¡± ¡°Yes, I find them the best fit for me besides morning stars but they feel too light most of the time.¡± He grinned and pulled out the Greatsword that looked like it was made of ice but was hard as diamonds. Almost faster than he could see she yanked it out of his hands and started playing with it. Seeing himself completely ignored for the time being he started packing his clothes into the inventory but when he looked up he froze in shock. The bedroom was spacious but what nina was doing bent just about every rule he new about weapon wielders. She was holding what looked like little more than an oversized cleaver that was clearly a two handed weapon and the greatsword while swinging them around with abandon. There was no precedent in his previous life of someone that could duel wield two handed weapons. ¡°Uuh, Nina would you mind telling me what your class is?¡± It seemed to snap her out of her revere as she said ¡°Oh, I thought I told you. It¡¯s a weird name called Juggernaut Reaver. Do you know what it means?¡± The only answer he could come up with was that it was her innate affinity with strength and an inborn ability that had allowed her to get an advanced hybrid class. The cases of this were rare to the point of ¡®diamond in the ruff¡¯ or local legends, but they did exist. He personally had never met one in his previous life but they were said to be simply ridiculous existences. And now he was sleeping with one. God help him. Chapter 10- Visions He could only shrug and giver her his best guess. Due to the sheer size of it and amount of material used two handed weapons were inherently stronger because of both damage and possible number of enchantments. He could only sigh and think that some were simply chosen by heaven, not that he was any better. On that note he couldn¡¯t help thinking about the only class of weapon that trumped two handed and that was the ultra class, also known as behemoth weapons. But those simply couldn¡¯t be found and had to be made. Technically anyone could wield them with a high enough strength but there was a difference between picking up a sword and training with it. Suddenly he was hit with a wave of dread that made his hair stand on end. It was so sudden he threw out his senses as far as they would go in a panic looking for the source but there was nothing there. Everything was completely normal and anyways there shouldn¡¯t be anything that could truly harm him yet but the feeling didn¡¯t fade, it only got stronger the more he thought about the ultra weapon series. It felt like a cat of epic proportions was clawing at his mind trying to get in. He was covered in sweat and shaking like a leaf on a tree, then Nina saw him and was instantly in battle mode. Within seconds the pain brought him to his knees and the last thing he saw was Nina¡¯s panic stricken face before darkness claimed him. He woke up floating in a vast star scape with only the void for company. The more he looked around the more he realized that what he was seeing was a galactic war. Streaks of light zipped here and there like they were fleeing. What could make a being capable of fighting a war in vacuum with just their body run. As soon as that thought surfaced he felt himself being pulled by something he couldn¡¯t see until finally he came to a planet that looked alot like earth. The continents were different shapes and there were vibrant red clouds all around the planet. The water seemed normal but then he saw specks moving slowly all over the planet, somehow he knew they were living beings. He felt cold sweat on his back as the thought of fighting something so huge it was capable of being seen from the atmosphere. He could tell that at the very least this world was hundreds of times the size of earth and he could still see the dots moving around. He felt himself being pulled again but this time was right down to the planet. Sounds of battle and screams were ringing in his ears long before he could see the fighting. Finally he could see them and could hardly believe his eyes. Everywhere he looked there were humans fighting monsters ranging from no bigger than an average person to dozens of stories tall. The humans were all wielding weapons that freely shifted from guns as big as them to blades that were even bigger. The sheer strength, agility, and physical toughness they displayed was no weaker than the average tier five warrior with some even at tier six or seven. Then he saw what he would consider as the elites fighting against monsters that could only be described as humanoid dragon. They about three stories tall, stood on two legs, and were covered in razor sharp armor plating with reptilian facial features. His eyes couldn¡¯t even keep track of their movements or see what was happening. He sucked in a cold breath as he realized that they were at least equal to tier nine fighter. And that dragon was fighting four of them at once. It was steadily losing but only because their teamwork was nothing short of flawless. One on one it looked like it would be able to put a beatdown on anything short of an elite tier nine combatant. Suddenly one of the creatures he had seen from the atmosphere appeared and its body darkened the battlefield. Without a shred of hesitation the humans grabbed their injured and fled while the monsters scattered in every direction. The goliath sent down what looked like tendrils and started devouring the dead monsters. The voice of the system seemed to scream in his ears ¡°Target world acquired, tier 2, class S, designation desolation battleground. ¡°Hyper monster evolution world chosen as the primary crucible planet for designation Tera. Probability of survival of locals is stagnant at 61%, Cooperation between locals raises probability to 93%. Unacceptable ratio, injecting reproduction acceleration gene into organism known as ¡®Original Oracle Factor¡¯ by locals during planetary fusion. Initiating protocol for evolution of human gene during planetary fusion. Survival balancing at 50%, acceptable parameters met.¡± During all this his eyes were locked on a dying boy and his weapon a short distance from himself. The boy was covered in black lines all over his skin and seemed to be turning into one of the creatures. His weapon that he mistook for metal earlier seemed to be half biological and now resembled and enormous mouth that was eating the nearby monster corpses. With what seemed like the last of his will the boy took out a dagger and stabbed his own heart. There wasn¡¯t any anger or hatred in his eyes but only resignation and disappointment. The black lines receded as the light faded from his eyes and his weapon reverted to its weapon form. Suddenly all the corpses began emitting a thin black smoke that gushed out of their bodies into the atmosphere. He was abruptly yanked hard and found himself back in his body. He looked around and saw he was in his bed again with Nina holding a rag on his forehead. ¡°How long was I out?¡± Nina jumped and scolded not to scare her like that. ¡°And only a day or so. What happened? You had everyone panicking when you suddenly collapsed like that.¡± ¡°Just a second and I should be able to tell you.¡± Status [Name: Jacob Dawn Tier: 3 Level: 3,412 Deaths: 0 EXP: 39% Titles: First among Immortals (0.00000001 sec.) Will be cast when the planets current fate changes, can only be used once per system phase, and will only be triggered when all conditions are met. After reading about his new spell he couldn¡¯t be more shocked. He had just changed the path earth was supposed to take. Due to his actions they would soon be engaged in a planetary war with no end in sight during the next phase and if what he saw was any indication then they were all fucked. For nearly an hour he laid there and thought hard on what he could do. The only thing he could think of was to become obscenely rich and essentially start buying the highest class of inventory for everyone so that when they were suddenly sent to that warzone of a planet they would all be decked out in supplies and gear for a good long time until they could link up with the locals and figure out what was going on. There preparations for now would have to include war preparation as well but he would almost entirely have to shoulder the burden of buying several million inventories. He would have to let the shop know to stock up on them. Good god, did humans even have a number high enough to count how much gold he would need? This was there only option however. He quickly threw on a set of clothes and rushed to his dad''s office. When he had told him everything his face was pale and waxy but his mouth was set in a determined line. ¡°I¡¯ll start preparations. Can you do it? That many inventories will be obscene but they might also be all that can save us.¡± He didn¡¯t answer and could only turn around as he bolted for the shop. He needed another 588 levels before he would be able to see the entrance of ¡®Hero¡¯ class dungeons which started at tier 4, then Legend at tier 5, Myth at tier 6, Godling at tier 7, Demigod at tier 8, and Ascension at tier 9. They were each completely undetectable until you reached their tiers because each and every one became a qualitative change in power. The first at tier four was the largest and most painful because it encompassed tier 0-3 into one. The more stats you have the farther they would be compressed and because of that it was almost unheard of for a tier 3 to beat a tier 4, the quality of their strength were just on different levels entirely. All this time he had been cocky thinking that he was so far ahead of the rest that he was undefeatable on earth, that he was the only star in the sky. Now that he saw what was coming he was terrified. He had single handedly caused the earth''s fate to change, probably for the worse. It was now his responsibility to bear the burden until the rest were strong enough to stand on their own. An endless series of thoughts ran through his head as he ran with all his might until he arrived at the shop. His concentration was fucked so his aura was completely running wild and everyone with emotions could tell exactly what he was feeling. Pure and unrestrained fear, straight terror. The manager met him at the door and immediately they ran into her office. When they were in they both looked at him like they would an irate tiger. Until he said ¡°A desolation world is coming.¡± Their complection drained of every ounce of blood and it was an effort not to start shaking. They were already past wanting to know how he knew this. He immediately spilled that he had somehow awoken a new skill called ¡®Planets Fate¡¯ and that it showed him a vision of the merging. The secretary fainted when she heard the vision. ¡°A world of evil gods. We are so fucked. The reason you received the vision was that the system took into account that you were having the vision and would prepare the earth for the merging. ¡°Which is to say that even after you prepare the world will only have at best a 50/50 chance to survive. We have no time to waste. I will inform the other stores and we will do what we can. Do what you must. I never thought I¡¯d say this to you but you need to get stronger faster. Accept this trade.¡± He accepted a trade and got the spell ¡®Mana Clone¡¯ in exchange for all his money. Every last coin but seeing the spells effects he could only nod with a grim face then left in the same rush he arrived. He headed straight for the nearest high tier dungeon where he told Nina to meet him. On the way he repeatedly cast Mana Clone. The spell was a dangerous one that Summoned an infinite number of clones that were at roughly 75% his strength. They were self sufficient and don¡¯t require regeneration to be sustained. All the experience they earned was gained by the main body but their death penalty was gained as well. If one died they all were automatically deducted with the death penalty. For him it was perfect and only took up 20 SP but it was as expensive as a hundred top class inventories and was never for sale. They were all linked to him and could use all the same things he could so he sent some to get the mines and sent others to seek out rare resources to add to the grimoire, another was to train Nina and two more were sent to the other two high grade dungeons. Then he entered and started the slaughter like a mad man. He summoned the angel and sent it blasting through the dungeon trying to break it''s own record for fastest clear. This dungeon was filled with earth elementals of various grades so it shouldn¡¯t do to badly. After about a month he had thrown all the mines into his grimoire complete with the entire vein of ore and innumerable bunches of trees and plants from around the world. There were also many that had already started to mutate from mana that he had added to his growing collection. Over all now his grimoire had the limit of density for a tier 2 plane and was rapidly expanding. His forests were all being managed by the monster family. And he also had belial training them so they could also prepare for what was to come. Belial new somehow what a desolation world was so he left it up to him to teach the kids and younger ones how to fight while the other adults focused on managing his expanding plane. The plants and ores were all mutating at an almost visible pace and some had even been recognized by the system. He was by now at the seventh floor and had been holding off on leveling because he didn¡¯t quite have enough for a Rebirth. That changed when the seventh floors boss fell. He was now ready to use cosmic rebirth and reset tier 3. So he dumped all his stats into his INT and started the rebirth. After three days he was now a tier three level 5 He immediately occupied 10 of his ¡®minds¡¯ to start mastering ice manipulation and another 10 to start trying get cosmic manipulation. He immediately blew threw the rest of the dungeon and exited. Immediately an enormous rush of experience from the other three dungeons slammed into him and rocketed his level back into the three thousand range. He could feel it wasn¡¯t enough for a rebirth though so after he got his wind back he did it all over again. This time though it took until the eighth floor boss when he felt the barrier for rebirth. He dumped all his points into his INT again and felt the reservoir of mana inside him expand greatly. After that was done he used Rebirth and as soon as he woke up he called up his status page and dumped his 52 levels of points into his WIL and confirmed. He was now confident that he could grind for money and XP in Hero Dungeons in relative safety but first he needed to go to the shop and learn at least the first tier spells for all the spell schools so he could start to try and get the elemental manipulation spell from each tree. He felt within six months if he allotted ten ¡®minds¡¯ each he could get them all. He cleared the last boss and when he was teleported out he headed straight for the shop. He now had 7.5 Billion gold from his grinding so Gold shouldn¡¯t be an issue but he only had 182 SP so he would have to deliberate carefully if he wanted any spells from his Cosmic spell tree for now. Chapter 11- Gains and loss It was now a cake walk to blast through the rest of the dungeon but in the next 2 levels he didn¡¯t level up once. The sheer quantity of XP he needed was monstrous and the hero level was a whole different breed of beast than before. Any hero was capable of slaughtering an army no matter what their profession and mages were especially proficient in this regard. As soon as he exited the dungeon he heard the tone of a system message and a world announcement was made. *Congratulations humans the first demigod has emerged amongst you. A new age has dawned and your race has taken the first step on the road to becoming a warrior species. As a reward for seting the record for the fastest race to reach this point after the system initialization you have been granted the racial title ¡®Super Race¡¯. Good luck and continue to grow strong humans. Every player on the planet was shocked and frozen in place. Suddenly it seemed like every last player was opening their stat screens at the same time and reading the skill description and Jason was no different but his description was different from others. *Title- Super Race Progenitor: Members of a super race are exceedingly gifted in all manner of survival and combat disciplines. As the basics of basics for racial survival their bodies are naturally gifted with a supernatural rate of reproduction and can adapt to nearly any naturally occurring environment. As the first and strongest amongst a race of supers as well as the one who brought its change you will receive one gift from the system of equal value and maximum level of martial talent. As soon as he finished reading it a hole ripped open in space right in front of him. An endless starscape greeted his eyes but the egg that floated in space grabbed his attention. It was so black it seemed to absorb the light around it with no blemishes or light spots on it at all. It quietly floated towards him was sucked into his chest. In an instant he heard the panicking from belial¡¯s group and entered the grimoire. A ridiculous sight greeted his eyes. One of the mountains he had stolen and put in there had been half destroyed. It honestly looked like some enormous monster had taken a big bite out of it. In the center of the crater was the egg. And around the egg was scattered all the meteors he had dug up when he beat the beast horde. Even as he watched more and more stones were drawn to the egg and piled up around it like a nest. When the last one clicked into place all mana in the grimoire started to crazily rush into the egg. Soon the density in the entire zone started to fall and he was forced to activate the transcendental meditation to its fullest and only then could he barely equal out what the egg was taking. He could only stare in shock as the egg seemed to lighten up on the absorption until it was perfectly equal with what he was producing. Suddenly he heard a ding and another message popped up. *unknown entity ???egg is requesting to trade for full ownership of the skill Transcendental Meditation (20) with soul pact. Do you wish to trade? Y/N He couldn¡¯t fucking believe it. This was his ¡®reward¡¯? A potential partner that required him to give it his single most powerful skill? WTF kind of sick joke was this? He almost shoved no until one word stuck out to him, soul pact! Almost nothing was known about soul pacts because only three people in his previous life had ever gotten one. They were considered one of the top ten strongest in the world because they had gained the ability to give half of their levels to their pet and it could level up with them as well as evolve into stronger species when certain conditions were met. They could even benefit from each other¡¯s skills and natural abilities. It was now a choice of how much he trusted the system. It had said a reward of equal value and the system never lied or bent the truth. Did he want to trust his fate to something he had no idea what it even was on the chance it would one day be a powerhouse he could trust with his life? As he almost pressed yes the message disappeared and a new one appeared in its place. *unknown entity ???egg is requesting to trade for full ownership of the skills Transcendental Meditation (20) and multicast with soul pact. Do you wish to trade? Y/N He was fucking livid now. Not only did it want his strongest but even his second strongest but it wasn¡¯t done yet, it changed yet again. *unknown entity ???egg is requesting to trade for full ownership of the skill Transcendental Meditation (20) and multicast as well as permission to use cosmic rebirth at will and 100 of your split minds with soul pact. Do you wish to trade? Y/N He could only stare at this point with frozen fury at the egg. It was asking to pretty much send him back to square 1. For a solid half an hour he forced himself to put aside all his emotions and look at it all logically and examine every facet of probability with all 101 minds he possessed. Finally he selected yes and felt 100 of his minds suddenly become sealed away. But what made his face pale completely was that he could still tell they were all simultaneously casting his meditation. He couldn¡¯t even believe it. It was jointly using his 100minds to simultaneously cast multicast 100 times each with each mind and using it all for meditation. This completely broke how he thought the skill were supposed to work and now he realized he didn¡¯t even understand his skills to begin with. He felt like burning alive since an egg could use his spells better than him. The embarrassment made him want to find a hole and never leave it. Finally he turned pale white as he realized that the egg was absorbing over 8 BILLION mana every second and it hadn¡¯t even had a reaction yet. He couldn¡¯t even fathom what creature could ever require so much mana just to hatch. It all came crashing down that even after all he had seen and done he was no more than a tiny frog in a even smaller well. His plan was now totally scrapped and all this time the people around him were in pandemonium over becoming a super race. When he brought himself out of the grimoire he could see everyone losing their shit and frankly it was hilarious. And then he caught site of an incredibly fat man a couple feet from him on his right side writhing on the ground. The shield and mace as well as his armor pegged him as a tank of some sort but the thing was he was convulsing of the floor as steam rolled off him in waves. It was so thick it completely obscured his body. The same was happening to fairly fat women on his left that looked like she was leaning on the wall but to a lesser degree and he could see that the fat was literally evaporating off her. What was left was a toned and muscular women that looked like a cross between a bodybuilder and a model in all the right ways. Her skin was rippling with stringy muscle and utterly free of any blemishes, even her face looked like something from a playboy mansion magazine. Unfortunately their clothes didn¡¯t change with them and a lot of it simply started falling off. The same was now happening to everyone else to greater or lesser degree and people were now noticing en mass. At this point he could guess that the same was happening around the city. It was definitely the effect of the super race title and he figured that his family would have the full story in a day or two so he just walked over to the shop. The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement. Many people stared at the strange guy who wasn¡¯t freaking out and just calmly walking down the street like any other day but at this point they all could guess that he was the likely cause. He simply ignored them and went shopping. As soon as he walked in he noticed how vacant the shop was since they had probably booted everyone out when the change happened. He walked calmly to the desk and this time he started looking through weapon skills. With his magic almost neutered he was going to have to use every last one of his stats to stay alive in a demigod dungeon and learn fast how to be a master jack of all trades. His advantage was mostly in his ridiculous mana pool size so he was going to need to capitalize with that along with his fairly even stats. Overall each of his stats were the same as if a demigod had dumped all their points into a single stat and he was planning to make the best of it. As he looked through more and more he figured his best bet would be to go with a spellblade kind of setup since they had a large amount of skills that did huge amounts of damage depending on how much mana was used in it. He decided to at least look at the options in his celestial tree though so he flipped it open. At the worst he could simply close it and look at other skills. However he couldn¡¯t help but freeze when he saw the list and was thrown into total confusion. *Cosmos Body Shaping Art- Depending on the number of non level rewarded stat points invested this art will evolve and grow with the user, the number of points will be sacrificed at a rate of 50,000 per phase and 5,000 each tier. More may be sacrificed later with no limit. Warning this skill cannot be unlearned and sacrificed stats cannot be refunded. Cost 1B Gold and 100 SP to learn. Tier ? *Divine Weapon¡¯s Form- This spell allows you to enhance your current weapon to negate armor and deal wounds that are extremely difficult to heal. Cost 1B Gold and 50 SP to learn. Tier 24 *Angelic Incarnation- This spell allows you to transform into a Battle angel form and call upon their might for a time. Cost 10B Gold and 50 SP to learn. Tier 31 How was this possible? He thought before that the spells were each Ideal for him at the moment but these were all custom tailored to his situation. Just what the hell is going on? These were all beyond his comprehension and understanding. With a sigh he shelved yet another thing that doesn¡¯t make sense for a later time when he had more information. He picked the Body shaping art and could only watch as the rest melted away only for three more to take their place. *Divinties Halo- Sacrifice your mana pool to enhance the physical body of yourself and those around you at a rate of 100% to all stats per 1M Mana invested. Halo¡¯s range increases by 100 feet per 1M Mana invested Cost 10M Gold and 50 SP to learn. Tier ? *Heavens Might- Concentrate your mana into massive blow at a rate of x10 damage per 1M Mana invested. Cost 100B G and 50 SP to learn. Tier 56 * Godspeed- Concentrate you mana into an armor that boosts your attack and movement speed by x10 per 1M Mana invested.Cost 10B Gold and 50 SP to learn. Tier 56 As he picked Godspeed he saw that he was now back down to four digits in his gold and could only sigh. He learned both spells and took notice that he only had 32 SP left. He quickly tabbed over to the generic weapon proficiency skills. Since he now had Godspeed he went to the weapons with a naturally high attack speed. When it reaches a certain point speed translates into power as well. Top of his list after he read them was the scythe, battle gauntlets, dual swords and leg blades, they were each only 1 SP apiece so he got them all. Next he picked up all four armor type proficiencies which were heavy, medium, light, and shields. He now had 24 SP left and a few hundred gold, so he exited out and left the front desk. On his way out he saw the quest board was now open and he saw a demigod level quest that was glowing neon red. He had never heard of demigod level quests before so he stopped to take a look. He almost laughed outright when he saw the quest details and the reward but nearly choked when he saw the penalty for failure.

God dammit. What the fuck is this? He had never heard of anything remotely similar in his past life, probably because he was just too weak to participate and spent all his time making up for his mistakes. He could only stare at it and helplessly accept. There was no pain and all he had to do was think about the demigod dungeons and they appeared as latitude and longitude coordinates in his head. He went back to the house and into his room, when he was there he pondered and pondered as he thought over the body sculpting art and how much he should sacrifice. The only problem was that his gut was on total rebellion if he tried to do anything but go all in down to the minimum of ten in each stat. He knew next to nothing about the difference between phases because they had never got to the second phase in his former life. He could only theorize that there was a massive difference. The only solid information he had was from the one and only tier nine person there ever was in his previous life. He had broadcasted to the world a cryptic message that phases couldn¡¯t even be compared with each other and that phase 1 and 2 were simply on different levels of power. He could only give a helpless sigh and call up his character sheet. [Name: Jacob Dawn Tier: 4 Level: 52 Deaths: 0 EXP: 39% Titles: First among Immortals (0.00000001 sec.) Now that he had a little money he had one of them go and buy as many basic weapon mastery skill books as he could and every blacksmithing item he would need to start crafting as well as information books on all the different known types of ore all the way from phase 1 tier 1 which were mostly normal metals all the way to phase 9 tier 9. Since they were just plain information books they didn¡¯t cost very much at all until you start buying phase ten books then they each start getting sold for hundreds of trillions of gold or items of equal value. He then sent it on a variety of minor tasks while the other one kept farming for gold or items to sell. After taking care of that he checked on the one he had teaching Nina and found that she was already fighting in a tier 2 dungeon. He sighed in relief at her progress. The clone had been casting cosmic rebirth every chance it got so she should be catching up to his level fairly soon he hoped. The dungeon entrance was in the middle of the island so not many had probably found even in his last life since the island itself was so remote and there wasn¡¯t really anything here that he could see except the dungeon itself. He took a deep breath and touched the dungeon door that was engraved like an enormous bull elephants face. Chapter 12- Strength is king and cooking reigns supreme He took that to mean that it was a land type monster dungeon, which perfectly suited his skill set. His base stats were still far above the average demigod and there wouldn¡¯t be any suitable weapons for a very long time. It was either down to making his own or depending on drops from the dungeon. He leaned into it and pushed open the door while grumbling under his breath about the trials of being the strongest. As soon as it opened an aura that locked him in place rushed out of the door. The screams and cries of beasts warped the very air with their intensity. He started to sweat as a vast expanse of mountains and prairies spread out before his eyes with enormous monsters straight out of the legends waging war as far as the eye could see. There was no other term to describe what was going on other than a clash between two opposing armies of monsters. Sphinxes, ligers, winged tigers, dragons, unicorns, hydra¡¯s, and so many more were all fighting for their lives right in front of him. The door closing with a boom right behind him brought him back to reality. He quickly hid himself as several beast looked in his direction. He quickly and quietly began skirting the edges while trying to make sense of what exactly he was seeing. After nearly three hours of watching he couldn¡¯t make heads or tails of it. No matter how he looked at it it just seemed like a total melee. The only good thing he had going for him was that the size difference made him comparatively hard to notice. With no warning he suddenly felt a huge sense of danger and without a shred of hesitation he scrambled. He dodged behind several trees and hid in a bush with break neck speed and without a sound but regardless of how hard he tried he couldn¡¯t find what had set him off. After nearly an hour on full alert he quietly snuck out and away. He stayed on guard and used every trick he new to draw out whatever it was that tripped his survival instinct all to no avail. A few days passed without another incident but he couldn¡¯t shake the feeling of being watched. Once more he settled down for the night and prepared a meal with rations and some fresh meat he nabbed from one of the smaller monsters that had died on the edge of the battlefield. It was a very small fire but thanks to the cookbooks that were included in the supplies and his supercomputer level memory he made a meal that would have put most five star restaurants to shame. He was focused half on his surroundings and half on the food since he still couldn¡¯t shake the feeling of being watched. Just as it finished he let his guard relax and took a bite. ¡°BOO.¡± And that was all it took for him to nearly choke to death and jump fifty feet in the air. He kicked away and landed on the other side of the fire but he could already tell he was surrounded. Sitting there eating his meal with a look of ecstasy was a woman who was about six feet tall, had midnight black hair, an hourglass figure that would put models to shame, and a pair of blazing red eyes that were locked on him and full of laughter. Sure enough out of the woods came another four people from both his sides and two more behind him that he could feel and they were all kingdom toppling beauties who just so happened to be busting a gut laughing at him. ¡°HAHAHAHA Oh my god, did you see his face? He was totally about to have a heart attack.¡± Said the one that was to the left and behind him. ¡°I know right, he was worse than the secretary from Galen that she scared half to death.¡± As they kept talking i kept my focus trained on the women eating my dinner since she was the one letting off the most powerful aura. ¡°So how¡¯s the food Karen? Is it worth keeping him alive or should we eat him next?¡± His face became grim and his eyes sharp as he interrupted the women who was about to speak by first chuckling then full on laughing. ¡°HAHAHA, you all are far beyond me and I can¡¯t see past your stealth abilities but you all still don¡¯t possess the capability to kill me. Someone as strong as you people definitely know how to read aura¡¯s so you can roughly tell how big my mana is right?¡± The question was rhetorical since they all could tell without trouble and he didn¡¯t know any concealment techniques. ¡°Since you all want to kill me then i¡¯ll be sure to return the favor when I get stronger but this is goodbye for now.¡± He took one last look at the women who had a puzzled look then recognition and finally panic, as she opened her mouth he said ¡°Godspeed.¡± and to their eyes he simply disappeared. He dumped a full ten million MP into it and boosted his movement speed to a point where even the flash would find it hard to keep up. He only had an hour till it started to wear off so he made the best use of it as he did his best to randomly change direction and shake off pursuers while hiding his tracks. It was destined to be a long night and even longer day tomorrow. He still chose to stick around the edge of the battlefield and try to get a grasp on the situation he had noticed that every so often both sides would retreat and gather their wounded before continuing. His gut told him that he needed to understand what was going on before he could start leveling up. He kept running all night and continued scouting during the day. Soon he had the general shape of the battlefield mapped out and had found both sides base camp but the security was so tight that he couldn¡¯t even dream of getting closer than a few miles. The mental fatigue of being on red alert all day every day made him significantly welcome his nights when he was able to find or make a good hideout. A few weeks later he found himself in the foothills of a mountain on the far side of the battlefield from where he had started and he found a fairly small cave opening that provided good shelter and a defensible view that would all but eliminate the sight of a fire from anyone that wasn¡¯t right on top of it. It was also angled down enough that he wouldn¡¯t have to worry about the smoke so he set up his sleeping bag quickly went and found some fresh meat before starting a fire. Similar to last time he kept up his vigile and paid attention to his surroundings while he cooked. He guided his way by smell and the sound it made while it was cooking but focused his other senses outwards in case of a repeat from what happened before. Lo and behold nothing happened so he let out a sigh of relief and started digging in. Not ten seconds later he heard footsteps and sniffing from behind him. The cave ended in a blank wall but even as he turned and watched the entire thing rippled like water and a tiger with a neon blue unicorn horn that was six feet at the shoulder stepped out from behind it. He was well and truly stunned until it locked eyes with him and started grunting at him in a distinctly not tiger like manner. He felt like his brain broke as he just stared blankly as it tilted head at him. He seriously gave thought to when he had started dreaming as it then twittered like a tweedy bird at him. ¡°Do you understand me?¡± Finally it started speaking english and he couldn¡¯t help but say ¡°A tiger can speak english?¡± It suddenly looked really happy as it spoke in what was a very deep woman''s voice. ¡°Ah so you speak the common tongue? That¡¯s great, so I was asking if by chance you were the source of that heavenly smell?¡± He shook his head and said ¡°Ah you mean my food? Yes, I made it. Would you like some?¡± The tiger nodded ¡°If you don¡¯t mind I would love some.¡± He quickly built up the fire to about five times its former size and started cooking a much larger piece of meat for his guest. He paid special attention this time so that the taste was even and there was no drop it quality. When he was done the tiger was ceaselessly drooling and fidgeting. He couldn¡¯t help but laugh and put it on a plate but as he turned back around the originally six foot tall tiger started shape shifting. Stolen novel; please report. Its fur grew shorter and its build got smaller as it grew more compacted until yet another world class model stood right in front of him dressed in what he could only call a furry amazon battle bikini. It was a stunningly sexy cross between a bikini and armor that showed so much skin you would dream of it on a sword wielding amazon. He could only stand there in dumb shock at this heavenly scene in front of him. It was probably his imagination he could have sworn that she preened a bit as she took the plate. He snapped out of and blushed all the way to his hairline as he picked up his food that was still a bit warm and started eating. Despite her portion being five time the size of his she still finished before he did. After eating they enjoyed the feeling of a good full belly and a warm fire on a dark night. ¡°So did you just arrive here or what¡¯s your story?¡± She finally asked. He thought about it then said ¡°Well I¡¯ve been here for about two weeks now and I¡¯m still trying to figure out why they¡¯re all fighting on that plain. As for my story, I¡¯m afraid even if I told you you wouldn¡¯t believe me. Suffice to say I¡¯m the first of my human race that is able to see demigod class dungeons but due to a price I had to pay I sacrificed some of my most powerful skills and change my fighting style so now I¡¯m on a training journey for the most part while I level up and get stronger.¡± There was dead silence so he looked up from the fire and almost didn¡¯t dare to breath. She was looking at him like he was a buffet in front of a starving man. ¡°Your a human!? And your a man!!¡± She nearly had to stop and swallow as she licked her lips. He got the distinct feeling that something was wrong with how she said that remark. ¡°Um, yeah.¡± He subtly leaned back as she started panting lightly and inching towards him. Dafuq is up with this??? He couldn¡¯t count the number of questions going threw his head but he was also currently tongue tied because she was really pouring on the sex appeal and even though he knew what was going on that didn¡¯t mean he could do jack shit about it. ¡°Uhhh, could you please explain what''s going on?¡± He slowly started inching away until it seemed like she suddenly got a hold on herself. After she sat back down and avoided his eyes she explained how over 90% of population on Likos was composed of females and most men had a lower standing than women who were the dominant party. Most men were either super strong powerhouses or kept as sex slaves. The powerhouses were essentially like world class celebrities in this place since what they valued above all else was strength. He suddenly realized just what had happened with those five girls before. Now their odd expressions made sense. He had managed to give away a lot of information before he escaped and now their wording suddenly took on a different meaning. He had been to focused on what she was saying and suddenly realized that she was right next to him. He no longer resisted as she started kissing, he did have Nina¡¯s approval after all. To be completely honest he was fully aware that this woman could totally whoop his ass and for him that was a total turn on so he didn¡¯t need any more incentive. With their physic the cave didn¡¯t stand a chance and quite a few new holes and cracks were in the wall and floor when they were done since she liked it rough. After they had relaxed and chilled on his sleeping bag for a while made them some more food which he could barely eat thanks to her completely not bothering to dress and sitting cross legged with the occasional moans to accompany the food. This of course led to another round he deemed as punishment. He wisely decided to stay there for a few days while he decided what he was going to do from now on. He couldn¡¯t kill anyone because contrary to his first thoughts the so called war he watched the whole day was simply the beasts version of a melee style competition, there were no actual casualties. While this was great on several fronts it presented quite the headache since he was reluctant to just give up on nearly a month of work. He was sitting at the cave entrance and quietly talking to himself like usual when the tiger who he now knew was named Kalen took a seat beside him and said ¡°Well if you need to kill things to get stronger then why not go to the dark lands and participate in the real war there?¡± He froze for a second as he thought about how she had mentioned that what he saw in front of him were just the practice bouts between two different cities, but she had never said practice for what. ¡°What war? You never said anything about it before.¡± She blushed quit prettily as she ignored his second question and explained his first. ¡°It¡¯s a war we are always fighting against the demons who are invading our lands through a dimensional tear. It seemed like they just appeared one day out of a wormhole in the sky and no one seems to know how. Within a month of their appearance the land closest to their stronghold started to die and wither. They somehow set up an enormous obelisque of flesh and blood inside the fortress and are constantly bringing troops over. So you would have no shortage of enemies to kill and the more you do so the better you could have better relations with the cities.¡± When she was done he finally understood. It was simply that this dungeon operated by a different rule set. Instead of a simple maze and monster set up it was more similar to an endless war. He instantly felt an enormous headache since this was simply an absolutely perfect setup if he hadn¡¯t given that damn egg hit two main abilities. After grumbling for a minute he asked for some lessons on unarmed combat and started getting some training. At first the fights lasted seconds but over the course of the first week he could mostly hold his own, the second week he could fight evenly with her and during the third week he was able to land some counter blows. He felt he now had a good foundation so he had his clone learn all the abilities it had bought. He spent another few days solidifying his new knowledge into his battle rhythm. He offered Kalen to come and surprisingly she agreed. She was a power and defense type of brawler so he intended on asking her to watch over his main body and using as many of his clones as possible to farm for experience. The crutch was on whether he could handle controlling all those clones at once without his mind collapsing or getting injured. Soon he had her lead the way and with his newfound familiarity and control of his body he was much faster and quieter than before. Unfortunately no sooner had they left than those same five girls from before popped out of nowhere and had them surrounded. He wasn''t sure of their strength but they didn¡¯t seem to mean them harm so he simply waited for them to speak. After making sure they weren¡¯t gonna run the leader girl stepped out slowly. ¡°Hello, my name Nicol Bolas and i¡¯ve been searching for you since we last met. I was able to tell that your not from this plane from our last meeting and wanted to apologize for startling you. If you would allow me then I would be glad to expl-¡± she suddenly cut off as he saw Kalen shift and get down on one knee while bowing her head. He knew kalens attitude so it was simple to deduce that this woman had a very unique background. He simply waited and looked at the woman named Nicol with a blank face like he wasn¡¯t impressed. The other four all looked at each other with surprise while studying him. With a blush and a cough Nicol seemed to regain her bearings to continue ¡°Well leaving out all the BS and flattery I came with one purpose. How much would I need to pay you to work for me? If you can guarantee a quality like what I sto- cough- like what I borrowed before then I will pay any price.¡± She was now blushing furiously and had to keep swallowing in order not to drool. He knew from Kalen that his cooking was far from ordinary but this was beyond all his expectations. He narrowed his eyes and glared at Karen as she blushed all the way down her neck and refused to look at him.
