However there are 4 pinnacle existence or holy grounds that rank far above even tier 1 sects, and pinnacle existences are the Holy Saint Palace, Sacred Beast Sect, Searing Sun Empire, and Demonic Alliance. These powers came to being in the beginning of history each producing numerous experts who have transcended mortality and was said to become true immortals. Holy Saint Palace was publicly known as the strongest super power in the entire world located in the central regions of Holy Saint continent. This powerhouse was founded by a False Immortal expert nearly 10,000,000 years ago before history was recorded. Holy Saint Palace was deemed the strongest as their younger generation has always been strong, virtuous and talented. The dominance of this sect was enough that many experts from other superpowers would not dare challenge them. They are even said to have connections to the immortal realm. Searing Sun Empire is an empire in the far east and dominates much of the eastern plains areas. Their emperor was said to have been the son of an immortal from the immortal realm and was said to be the strongest individual in the entire Holy Saint continent. They are hated for their vile methods and practices fo dark rituals. Because of this their experts are always hunted and on the run from Holy Saint Palace which also happens to be their arch nemesis. Sacred Beast Sect was said to have been founded by tribes of nomadic beast and humans long ago. Their strength while not as powerful is definitely comparable to Holy Saint Palace. Their base of operations are set towards the west, unlike the other holy grounds Sacred Beast Sect is not on the continent but rather located on a chain of islands 30,000km past the coast. They also are in control of the Sacred Beast Kingdom who dominate the western coast and definitely doesn¡¯t loose out to tier 1 super powers. However their leadership structure and those in those ranks have never shown their face so their true power is unknown.
Bustling citizens moved along the streets of Sacred beast city the capital of the Sacred Beast Kingdom. The streets were filled in food stands and street performers with many people, mortals and cultivators alike, were moving and enjoying the festivities. This is because this is the annual recruitment of new disciples for the Sacred Beast Sect. This event only allows cultivators under age 20 who have reached nascent soul stage at least with sufficient talent, even then you might not be able to get in if the examiner doesn¡¯t find you adequate. Amongst the crowd a young man in white robes walked calmly to the testing stage. This young man was who looked no older then 16 carrying a long sword on his back was calmly assessing the fancy stage in the middle of the plaza. He could see important officials seated on the stage along with a beautiful female on in a red dress and a middle age man dressed in black robes. ¡®They must be the examiners¡¯ he though, ¡®I will succeed, Xue¡¯er wait for me, I¡¯ll definitely come save you¡¯. The Exams Nears Its End The following few participants all tried to at least match up to Li Huo and the others, but those three were just insane geniuses. Lady Feng hadn¡¯t passed anyone after Li Huo and among the ones she failed were important officials children. Wan Kun vs The Phoenix As Lady Feng battled the many participants in the exam, Wan Kun was in fact studying her movements and attacks as best as he could. This was of course to better prepare for his upcoming fight with her. Even as a Nascent Soul Stage expert who could overturn an entire large realm when going all out he didn¡¯t have much confidence to beat her. ¡°Master, do you think I can defeat her¡± He asked his master through though transmission. ¡°Wan Kun my boy, that lady is at least above Minor Saint stage. Even at minimum she should be stronger then that Sacred Beast King Shi Wan who is also many times stronger then the Lava Demon. Prior to coming to the Sacred Beast Kingdom, Wan Kun had saved his home country and sect from a monstrous Lava Demon who had the cultivation of a peak Exalted Realm expert. One had to understand that despite Exalted Realm being only one step below Sky Realm, the realm first tier superpowers were generally at, the sheer power difference was massive. Even Saint Realm experts would not have survived not to mention civilians who¡¯re ordinary mortals. Normally, if this happened the the Sacred Beast Kingdom would have been crippled losing not just its capital but also their king and important officials as well. However the intervention of a certain man in back prevented that. Moments prior The Giant Buddha Palm shone in rainbow energies as it crashed downwards towards the newly formed fire bird. The fire bird also transformed, growing in size and shape resembling a peacock. Upon closer inspection one would realise that the shape was in fact a phoenix. ¡°Very good Wan Kun, this Buddha Palm is even stronger then when you used it on the Lava Demon¡± Wan Kun¡¯s master couldn¡¯t help but praise his disciple, Wan Kun was truely talented to learn such a powerful divine art while still at the Mortal Realm. ¡°Well lets just hope this works¡± Wan Kun pushed even more of his remaining energy into this attack thereby maximising its destructive power. ¡°Truely something only a protagonist archetype can do¡± FengHuang was now encased in the phoenix avatar. Yimu gazed at the distant flashing light outside and asked ¡°do you think Immortals are fighting out there?¡±. Palace Head Mo seemed to be in deep though, ¡°No, that aura is not at the level of Immortals yet, but I can definitely sense great profoundness from that direction. Your majesty what do we do?¡± The man on the throne glared at the servant who spoke incinerating him on contact. ¡°Do Not burst in uninvited am I understood?¡± The king glared at hi servants ¡®why do I always get the incompetent ones¡¯. Fearing for their lives, the servants begged for mercy. ¡°Your Majesty, your Majesty please forgive us¡±. ¡°SILENCE¡± the kind slammed his fist on his armrest cracking it, this silenced the room ¡°now, tell me what happened before I Incine¡­..¡± The king stopped and looked west ¡°what is that?¡± He got up and walked towards his left unto a balcony and looked outside. He saw a distant light many millions of kilometres away ¡®is there some kind of battle going on there?¡¯ He turned back to his servants ¡°Send General Michael out to find out whatever the hell that is immediately¡±. Hearing his command several servants left in a hurry to inform the general. ¡°Now what was that about Devils?¡± A servant nervously walked up to meet the king ¡°Your Majesty, we just received a report that 2 hours ago a Devil army consist of 1,500,000 High class Devils marched into Woodland, Clear stone City and several other border cities. Many civilians are already captured and killed¡±. Hearing this the king frowned ¡°Send my son out. Tell him that he is to purge the entire army himself¡±. ¡°Your Majesty are you sure? Prince David is only 12 this year¡± one servants called out. ¡°My son will do fine. Besides the son of me King Solomon is the the strongest of his generation¡± King Solomon said in confidence ¡°Now go, go before I remove you myself¡±. The servants all ran out to perform their orders. Now alone in his throne room, Solomon began thinking on the profound energy he sensed. His thought were almost he exact same as Palace Head Mo¡¯s.
Sacred Beast City: The explosion kicked up a dust storm and sent strong winds everywhere threatening to flatten the entire city. The power was so great that it broke Shi Wan¡¯s own divine art sending him tumbling backwards ¡®what power¡¯. ¡°Hmph¡± Hei Hainan got up and instantly appeared in the sky. With little effort he also repealed the energy release from the explosion sending it outwards in a circular fashion. ¡°Swoosh¡± Shi Wan and several other officials appeared in the sky. ¡°Lord Hei is Lady Feng alright?¡± Many of them were worried, that attack was certainly enough to kill Saint level experts, probably only Loose Immortals could survive. ¡°My Junior sister is fine, repelling that would take no effort on her part¡± Hei Hainan said with confidence, after all FengHuang was no weaker then he is. ¡°That strong?¡± Many of the officials were certain that the two examiners must be Loose Immortals, how else could they so easily disregard this kind of attack.

Not a Chapter (Information on the setting of this story) So I decided to make the cosmology and power rankings clear in the universe of The Sacred Beast Sect to clear up some inconsistencies and make some information clear. I¡¯ll also post more of these info dumps every so often to update the information. The Three Realms: The three realms are the main universe that the story takes place in. While it is collectively referred to as a single universe it does contain several layers. These layers are pretty much universes in and of themselves so when I refer to the mortal realms I mean mortal realm the universe. Now think of the three realms as a cake, each layer is stacked on top one another but are not physically connected. One must reach a high level of cultivation in order to travel between them. Each Layer is also as stated before a sub universe and contain thousands of galaxies. Each layer of space are also more difficult to control then the last. Lower Realms=Mortal/Immortal Realm: To clear things up, the Lower realm as a whole refer to both the mortal and Immortal realm. This is because the two are largely connected and is where most cultivators gather in. Think of it as a house, the bottom floor is the mortal realm and the second floor is the immortal realm, different but both are included in the same house. The Lower Realm is basically one large universe thats separated Into two halves that are lesser cosmoses. Side Note: mortals are the majority and live on most worlds that are habitable. Lets start with the mortal half and call it the Mortal realm. The mortal realm is a cosmos consisting of numerous galaxies and worlds. Each world can range from small like our own planet earth or very large like the world the Holy Saint continent is on which could spread tens of millions of kilometres in radius. I¡¯ve stated in the previous chapter that the Holy Saint continent itself is already millions of kilometres long in size. This is also a pretty standard size in most Xianxia stories. Now moving on to the Immortal half and call it the Immortal Realm. Like the Mortal Realm, the Immortal Realm is also a similar size cosmos consisting of numerous galaxies and star systems with many large and small words. However the Immortal Realm also posses many different environments and unique stars such as suns that are absolute zero temperatures and entire planets made out of leaves. Planets are also very often floating about with minimal gravity with suns orbiting them instead. Do not try to understand the logic of the Immortal realm, the laws of physics are defied every day. The spiritual energy in the Immortal Realm is also hundreds of times more potent then the Mortal Realm. Side Note: There are also many Lower Realms also consisting of Mortal and Immortal Realms. All of then exists on the same general layer of space. Upper Ream/Celestial Realm/Realm of the GodsSupport the creativity of authors by visiting Royal Road for this novel and more. The highest level of space and also the most stable. It consists of one giant flat landmass surrounded by ocean overlooking all the lower realms. Immortals are considered juniors here and experts considered the pinnacle in mortal worlds are more common then dirt here. Nether Realm Located at the bottom of the three realms but also home to the Nether World Court and where judgement of the dead and reincarnation takes place. Cultivation: Qi Cultivation is divided into several Large Realms each consists of four smaller realms which are also broken down into 3 layers of Early, Mid, Late. Cultivation requires one to meditate and absorb from any source in order to enhance their body and understanding of the universe. Every breakthrough is a huge rise in power. Mortal Realm Cultivation goes like this. 1. Mortal realm/Houtian -Qi Condensation, Early, Mid, Late, maximum lifespan of 100years (At this level, a cultivator is required to regularly absorb Qi and only about 3-5 times as strong as an Olympic athlete. Its very much an introduction to cultivation as one is still learning how to utilise Qi) -Body Enhancement, Early, Mid, Late, maximum lifespan of 100years (This stage focuses on enhancing the physical body beyond their limit so that the body will survive cultivation as well as enhance all body senses 10 folds least. Experts at this stages immune to most common sickness) -Core Formation, Early, Mid, Late, maximum lifespan of 100years (Core Formation requires the cultivator to form a Spiritual core in their body, this enhances their sensitivity to Qi and the laws of the universe. At this stage cultivators can start meditating on the Dao and also unlock energy sensing. Flight is also possible but it is very stressful to maintain) -Nascent soul, Early, Mid, Late, maximum lifespan of 300years (At this stage the Spiritual Core of the cultivator will form a Nascent Soul. Cultivators with a Nascent Soul are able to survive their body¡¯s destruction and would be able to create a new one. This process however can take decades to centuries) 2. Surpassing Mortality/Xiantian -Spirit severing, Early, Mid, Late, maximum lifespan of 800years (To reach this stage is to break all ties to mortality. At this level one can truely be called an Immortal. Experts at this realm is immune to all illness and normal poisons. Experts at this stage have severed their soul from mortal shackles and are much more knowledgeable on the workings of the universe. Animals at this stage gain human intelligence and are referred to as Demon Beasts or just Demons) -Heavenly sage, Early, Mid, Late, maximum lifespan of 1,200years (Heavenly Sage¡¯s Qi havebeen transformed into Heaven Qi making them much more sensitive to energy then before) -Gazing Nirvana, Early, Mid, Late, maximum lifespan of 1,500years (When entering this realm, cultivators would catch a glimpse of true immortality and the Immortal Realm) -Exalted, Early, Mid, Late, maximum lifespan of 3,000years (Peak of Xiantian and also the transition to sky realm) 3. Trancendense Realm -Sky Realm, Early, Mid, Late, maximum lifespan of 8,000years (Starting at the Sky Realm a cultivator can fly without any effort and leave the planet''s atmosphere. Pre-Sky Realm any attempt to fly will require the use of spiritual energy/Qi. Experts at their full power can quakesomething the size of the Holy Saint Continent with ease) -Minor Saint, Early, Mid, Late, maximum lifespan of 10,000years (Experts at this stage can survive outer space without much effort and destroy entire worlds) -Great Saint, Early, Mid, Late, maximum lifespan of 10,000years (Experts at this level can easily destroy Large planets with a casual strike) -False Immortal/Loose Immortal, Early, Mid, Late, maximum lifespan of 150,000years (Pinnacle of Mortal Realm Cultivation just before Immortal Cultivation. At some point of a False Immortal''s lifespan a Tribulation will occur, if the False Immortal can survive he/she will break through to the Immortal Realm and be forced to leave the Mortal Realm for the Immortal Realm. Can also be called Loose Immortals.) After the exam Hei Hainan and FengHuang had returned to the hotel while also recording down everything that happened today and create a file for every new disciple. It is known was Initiation Paradise, the third exam will be taking place here¡±. The Grand Elder Orochi of the Sacred Beast Sect have always been known to be great at gathering intel and espionage missions. The coastal beach had a small plaza and a docking area that reached out over 500 metres long. A group of people waited on the docks. Arrival A group of individuals stood behind the messy haired Grand Elder Orochi. These people were important elders and disciples of the Sacred Beast Sect whom followed the Grand Elder to welcome the new disciples ad more importantly, their sect mistress FengHuang. The elders were dressed in their own outfits consisting of long green robes with white stripe patterns across the sleeves. On their back was the image of a serpent sown in a colour of white. Each elder also had grey shoulder guards lined with gold colouring along the edge. A white circular badge signifying their elder status was clipped on their left side on their chest. The disciples behind also wore green robes but theirs lacked a shoulder guards. However these disciples did have a badge. Their robes however had gold stripe patterns signifying their status as core disciples of the Sacred Beast Sect. A young man wearing a customised elder uniform stood right behind Orochi. This young man had intentionally removed the sleeves entirely and wore a red badge. This young man was Yin Ma, a Great Elder of the Sacred Beast Sect. As with his title Yin Ma¡¯s position was not low only one step below Orochi¡¯s and Hei Hainan¡¯s position as Grand Elders. ¡°Lord Orochi, Jin Lei should be here soon¡± Yin Ma informed the grand elder before him. Orochi nodded, ¡°knowing Hei Hainan he wouldn¡¯t let them be late even one second¡±. As soon as he said that the line of clouds in the distances parted and the figure of Jin Lei could be seen. The disciples and elders behind remained unfazed as Jin Lei gradually slowed down as he got closer.
Jin Lei stopped completely as he reached the harbour. The dragon then proceeded to morph into a flash of white electricity before reforming on the harbour in front of Orochi in his human form. Jin Lei in his human form looked to be around his mid 20s with blond hair and blue eyes. He wore yellow armour with a spear strapped to his back. ¡°Jin Lei greets grand elder and great elder¡± Jin Lei cupped his hands and bowed to both Orochi and Yin Ma respectively. He then swiped his hand creating a wooden bridge connecting the sailboat and the harbour. FengHuang then walked down followed by Hei Hainan and the rest. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. Hearing this FengHuang was surprised, ¡°So we¡¯re the latest? Jin Lei why are you so slow¡±. The dragon turned man had a nervous expression, ¡°Ah, well¡±. Orochi accepted the scroll and read it as they walked onto the forest path, ¡°Quite a list you have here, most of them would definitely become gods fairly quickly.¡± As he went down the files his eyes widened at a few names ¡°Is this for real?¡±. Hei Hainan nodded his head. FengHuang also chimed in, ¡°And he was quite strong to boot, that kid¡¯s Buddha palm could overturn entire large realms not to mention he also have an Immortal King¡¯s soul as both master and backup¡±. ¡°Orochi, would you be choosing any of them as disciples?¡± Hei Hainan also asked a question to him. ¡°Not this time, I¡¯m much too busy for that¡± Orochi shook his head. Meeting The Rest of The Grand Elders The island of the third exam is part of a group of islands called the survival islands, its actual name being beginner¡¯s paradise. As the island group name suggests it is an island built on the idea of survival of the fittest. That is why the monsters on this island are considered to be extremely powerful in normal standards. However, even with its real difficulty, it is still in fact the weakest and easiest of all the survival islands hence the name beginner¡¯s paradise. Beginner¡¯s paradise was rather big around 3000Km squared. Since it was originally built to be a testing ground the island¡¯s biomes are contained within a set area of space protected by a dome shaped barrier. The only opening in said barrier is at the end of the forest trail connecting to the harbour. The gate itself is a paifang archway 10 metres high and 17 metres long. Within the biome is a large area of lush jungle surrounding grassland which contains a lake. Towards the western end of the island is Mt Fog standing at 700 metres. Like the name suggest Mt For is contaminated with extremely dense fog all the way from the base till the summit. Since this is a testing ground there will naturally be a viewing platform for the elders. This platform is located inside a five story tall pagoda. Currently FengHuang, Hei Hainan and Orochi are making their way to this pagoda. The pagoda was simple in design both exterior and interior however it was actually enchanted with advanced magics. The enchantment will make it possible to monitor all corners of the island bypassing almost all senses of all types of beings. Of course cultivators with high enough cultivation would be able to sense it. FengHuang and company stepped in front of the entrance. The inside was a rather large room with multiple sofas and table set up like a family home. A rectangular table was placed at the centre. On the end towards the sofa were several bows of snacks and drinks, mostly fruits and wine. On the other end was a plate with the taiji symbol drawn it, it was filled with water. Several figure sat on the sofas. FengHuang waved her hand, understanding her orders the guards exited the room and closed the door behind them. A formation automatically set itself in place stopping all outside interferences. ¡°Well look who finally showed up¡± a scraggly man in ancient yellow Chinese clothing sat on the left enjoying some grapes. ¡°Monkey, nice to see you again¡± FengHuang smiled towards the man, ¡°Did you catch anything nice while you were out?¡± The scraggly man smiled, ¡°Well we¡¯ll just have to see¡±. This man was called Hou Jin, another of the Sacred Beast Sect¡¯s Grand Elders. The dark skinned Caribbean looking baskirk waved his hand, his dreads flew up slightly as a mystical energy flashed creating a multitude of delicious cuisines on the table, ¡°My best chef prepared this, enjoy¡±. ¡°Don¡¯t mind if I do¡± Xue Hui, Hou Jin and FengHuang immediately started enjoying themselves as the rest of the elders also indulged in some fine wine. Ao Shuidi walked towards the plate with the taiji symbol. She took a small glass bottle from her sleeve and unplugged pouring its contents into the plate so that the clear date that came out was enough to fill the bottom. She mixed the powder with the water and began chanting and spell. A blue smoke cloud flowed from the plate and grew in size as it expanded to reach the edges of the room and the ceiling. The blue smoke slowly formed a large image that coved most of the smoke. This newly formed image showed a scene of 132 individuals walking into a Paifang. ¡°Looks like it¡¯s already starting¡± Orochi remarked while enjoying a biscuit. The various grand elders were quite interested to see the upcoming results, even the great elders one floor below them were curious. The third exam had finally started. Events of the Third Exam part 1 When the 132 participants stepped through the paifang, they were each teleported to a different location as their starting point for this exam. Through the paifang gate was the basic beast forest, a deep forest that¡¯s filled with dangerous monsters and hazards that in normal conditions could kill many strong experts. So it wasn¡¯t a surprise that a day in nearly 80 people were already injured to the point where they had to be teleported out to preserve their life. Unfortunately these poor souls weren¡¯t able to gain much treasures. This many disqualifications right of the bat although disappointing couldn¡¯t really be used to gauge the worth of these new disciples. The original purpose of this third exam was to find the most talented out of hundreds of talents for the sect to nurture after all. So it wasn¡¯t really surprising for more then half to participants to be eliminated before the first day was up. This process just goes to show you the absurd talent the rest must have to survive all this. Every single new disciples had been through a similar process when they were first inducted. This survival of the fittest mentality was what originally allowed the Sacred Beast Sect to thrive for so long. Despite this harsh way of thinking, the sect was never unkind to the not as talented disciples. They instead put in effort to nurture them so they can at least protect themselves. In the past, these methods gave the sect an illustrious reputation as a place for everyone to become powerful in their own right. At the peak of their power, the Sacred Beast Sect was only surpassed by the primordial superpowers like the Three Pure Ones, the Buddha and the Jade emperor. In fact, the founder of the Sacred Beast Sect was also from a similar era as the time that produced those primordial superpowers. Currently the Grand Elders are watching the exam through the cloud mirror. The scene before them showed Shi Xuegang fighting against a monster. This particular monster resembled a tiger only much bigger and possessed wings. Standing at 12 metres tall and 29 metres long was a Qiong Qi tiger demon beast fighting against Shi Xuegang. This battle would definitely not be easy. ¡°Yah¡± with a leap, Shi Xuegang summersaulted through the air sipping his hands in arc shapes sending waves of sword Qi as tangible energy attacks. These waves flew through the air towards the winged tiger at high speeds. Shi Xuegang also leaped back avoiding the claw that just made a crater in the forest ground. Landing on a forest branch, he counter attacked by firing off more energy sword Qi waves. In response the beast immediately began roaring and frantically moved everywhere now terrified that it lost one of its greatest weapon. In its distress, it didn¡¯t notice Shi Xuegang flying right in stabbing the monster in its heart, this attack killed it instantly. Shi Xuegang followed the corpse as it plummeted down to earth and landed as it crashed into the ground. ¡°Geez, this thing was tough¡± using sword Qi, the prince skinned the creature and stored its skin and bones into his inter-spacial ring. Picking up a small red gemstone on the ground, he though to himself ¡®This could be useful, a Demon Beast Core of this level is definitely beneficial to my cultivation. But I better get a move on, there¡¯s still many treasures out there¡¯. Deciding on his next actions, the prince sprinted off into the forest. ¡°You were right. This kid is truely not bad¡± Ezzel himself was very impressed with Shi Xuegang¡¯s display of power and tactical knowledge, ¡°He would serve well under my tutelage¡±. This punch connected and launched to ape a few metres away but otherwise had no visible damage. ¡°Rah!¡± The ape screamed and charged at Josh once again. The two traded punches as the ape was starting to push the young man back. It was also difficult of the young man as the ape also took advantage of his smaller body and launched kicks at him. ¡°Shit this is harder than I though¡± Josh head butted the ape staggering him. Taking his chance he threw one huge swing at the ape¡¯s face knocking out several teeth during the impact. Smirking Josh said ¡°Well how¡¯d you like that?¡±. ¡°He he he¡± the ape turned his head back to Josh and simply chuckled as if the attack did nothing. ¡°Shit¡± Josh barely had enough time to dodge as the ape opened his mouth and shot and energy beam at his face. Luckily the attack missed and shot into the sky. Not giving Josh a second chance the ape swiped at him knocking him over onto the ground. ¡°Crap¡± Josh barely got up when the ape was onto him again. ¡°Uh Uh Ah Ah!¡± The ape pounded his chest and leaped towards Josh when a lighting fast hammer slammed into the apes body and sent him flying into the night. CRACK! The force of that one strike was so fast and so strong that it caused a sonic boom. The ape¡¯s body disappeared so fast that it was already out of view in less then a second. ¡°You alright Josh?¡± The looming body of Da Chang bent over and extended a hand in friendship to him. ¡°Yeah, thanks for that¡± Josh pulled himself up with the help of Da Chang. ¡°What I want to know is, how did that monkey just get up so suddenly and so strong?¡± Da Chang wondered as he gave Josh a second restoration pill. Meanwhile Shi Xuegang was at the crater Josh previously slammed the ape into. ¡®Nothing seems wrong so what happened here?¡¯ He looked up to look at Josh, ¡®the last person to come in contact with the monkey was Josh. Maybe he had something to do with it? Da Chang was too far away and too much of a simpleton to try something like this so it could only Josh¡¯. Seeing Josh and Da Chang happily chatting the prince could only wonder to himself, ¡®Question is, why would he do that?¡±
