 End and the beginning

    "How many times is this same scenario going to play out?" a cold and dark voice of a being spoke as he sat down on his throne and watched the flames slowly engulfing his castle.


    The thing wore a enormous black armour, but if one were to gaze at the face of the creature he would only see two ominous green eyes and a swirling mess of darkness nothing more.


    The creature was no human by any means or any of the other races of this world it was an existence called the demon king it neither had a name nor a gender it was simply the demon king.


    "MY KING THE ALLIANCE WILL SOON BREAKTHROUGH OUR RANKS!" a demonic looking being stormed inside the throne room, it was covered in wounds and even a few arrows were peeking out of its body.


    The creature had the same black armour but unlike the demon kings body, the demon had two black wings on its back and a bulky body that wore the black armour.


    "Zargal, I know I can see everything inside my domain what of the other two Beler and Kalna?" the demon king spoke as he stood up from his throne and made his way towards the kneeling demon.


    ".....They have fallen my king the heroes of the alliance have taken their lives.." after a brief silence the demon Zargal spoke in angry voice but beneath it a sad one.


    "I see, so the never-ending death continues" the demon king spoke as he looked outside his window and saw the death and carnage that was happening right now.


    "Zargal as you know we never truly die, not me, not you or any of my loyal warriors we are all just puppets to the gods, we amuse them its simple we try to destroy the world and they bring some brats from another world to destroy us, and NO MATTER HOW MUCH WE STRUGGLE WE ALWAYS END UP DEAD ALL OF IT IS FOR NOTHING!" as the king spoke he became angrier towards the gods and towards himself from being unable to save his kind from the endless suffering caused by the whims of the gods.


    "Zargal they are here" after calming down the king spoke slowly and raised his hand and a pitch black sword appeared.


    "Come heroes let my soul eater feast tonight!" as soon as the heroes entered the throne room they were meet with the barrage of attacks from both the demon king and his last loyal warrior and the general of the first legion Zargal.


    "Damn it! Layla support us with your magic!" one of the heroes that carried a sword and a shield yelled out as he jumped in front of the demon king and blocked his strike.


    "Very good human!" the king whispered as he disappeared from the sight of the sword and shield wielding hero.


    "Shitwhere did he disappear!" he yelled as he looked around in panic, he felt a cold sensation behind him and he quickly turned around and blocked another strike from the soul eater, but this time the king was alose meet with a hail of arrows that pierced his armour.Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation.


    "It hurts...soul arrows I see, damn you gods" the king retreated back into the shadow and slowly pulled out the soul arrows out of his body, what was left were black holes that were not closing at all.


    "Arghhhh!!!" the king heard a pained yell and looked towards the source, he saw his last remaining general fall to roguelike elf woman that stabbed Zargal through the eyes and into his skull he was dead on the spot even for a demon that was a lethal strike.


    "Rest well my friend" the king whispered as he stepped out of the shadows and just walked towards the middle of the throne room.


    The female elf that wore a silver leather armour and jumped back towards the other two heroes "Zain, Layla we need to strike together if we are to defeat this abomination!" the elf yelled as she readied her daggers.


    "I agree with Kuila, Leyla lets end this war once and for all CHARGE!" Zain the sword and shield hero yelled Kulia and him charged while Layla chanted in some ancient language.


    "Finally rest..." the king raised his sword but as soon as the heroes were in the striking range his sword the soul eater disappeared.


    The sword and the dagger along with the powerful magic of the sorcerer destroyed the demon king, peace was now secured and all the world rejoiced in the victory against the demon king.


    "So I am finally returning to my prison" the king was now just a swirling mess of darkness he could not see nor hear anything but he knew his fate very well.


    But this time something strange happened he could actually see the light and hear a buzzing sound, no not buzzing those were faint voices inside the light.


    With every strength he could muster he moved closer towards the light and as soon as he was about to touch it he felt a power that wanted him back, he knew it was the gods that were doing that they wanted him back into the cage where he would just slumber until his next play for the gods.


    No he was not going back and neither was his kin his loyal warriors he understood that the light was their salvation, he wanted freedom more than anything and he was going to get it.


    He struggled against the force pulling him back and with all his strength he made it to the light which pulled him inside as he was being pulled inside the bright light he heard a faint and angry yell from behind him.


    He had finally done it he escaped the cold and dark cage that had kept him locked up for all eternity until now, he and his kin were finally free from the endless cycle of torment.


    "M......my lady!! The baby your daughter is alive she is breathing again!!" a loud female voice yelled, the king could feel the warmth coming from his side, he slowly opened his eyes and looked at the female human that was crying with a smile towards him.


    "Thank....thank you gods...thank you..." she kept crying and while she thanked the gods for saving her daughter from the cold hands of death.


    "Lidia!" a man wearing a gold crown dressed in rather well cloths stormed inside the room and hugged the crying woman.


    "I...I hear...I am so glad it was false information!" the king tried to speak but instead he started crying as while he kissed Lidia and then caressed the cheeks of his newborn daughter.


    "My beautiful queen what shall we name our little princess?" the king asked Lidia as he still let a few tears down his cheeks.


    "Her name shall be Eliana" the queen spoke as she kissed her daughters forehead.


    "So a human, still better than the cage" the king now known as Eliana thought to herself amusingly.

    AN: A little prologue of the story hope you like

 First few days

    "Eliana my sweet baby!" queen Lidia who is my mother gently picked me up and pressed her face against mine, she was doing this same thing for more than half an hour already, do to me now being human and a little one at that this body gets tired very easily so in order to let her know I am tired I start wiggling my little legs as to escape.


    "Oh you must be tired my little darling" she finally puts me down into my new prison, but I must say that these soft cushions inside my cage are much better than my last residence was, that cold and dark place but now I will never return.


    I take a look towards my new mother she was called a beauty by the people around her well she is a queen after all but I still don''t understand their ethics and what they like about each other but if I must compare mother to the rest of the servants I saw I must admit her looks are better than theirs, her long red hair really stands out from the crowd of servants her face is white like the pearls I used to store in my past life as the king even tho I had no use for them I liked their glow, one thing I noticed is that mother always liked wearing white clothing instead of red like her hair that style must be because of her pure white eyes.


    As for the king my new father I learned his name was Varil as mother would call him that so I assume that is his name, my father Varil was a giant of a man he would probably be bigger than me even in my original form with the armor, he had a well kept brown beard his face had a few scars on it which says a lot about him he must be a king that does not just sit on his throne and send his soldiers to battle.


    "My queen I believe it is time to feed the princess shall I call the royal wet nurse?" one of the female servants standing by the door spoke while she bowed towards my mother and me.


    "No like always I shall be the one to feed my daughter!" mother was rather excited whenever this time came although I was not too thrilled when she stuck that thing into my mouth the first time I tried to fight back and bite but to my sad realization I did not have any teeth.

    "There now you are full and its time for you to sleep my little star" mother spoke sweetly as she tucked me into my soft prison, I still don''t understand the feelings and this warmth I am feeling when mother holds me but it is pleasant I never felt it before and I don''t hate it.


    "Mommy we came to play with little sis!" I heard two voices belonging to young children and I knew who the voices belonged too.


    "Lilly! Marcus! Shush Eli is just about to sleep!" mother commanded the two children, they were my siblings a boy and a girl and the funny thing is after looking at them for several days since I came to this world while they played with me I noticed that even though Marcus is a boy he took after our mother with her delicate looks and Lilly is the exact opposite even for her age which is six there are already visible muscles forming on her body the only thing that Lilly got from her mother was the eyes white as pearls, their hair was brown like fathers, I wonder how I look.


    "Oww we were late again today that stupid magic teacher kept us with him for too long again!" Lilly stomped her feet in anger while Marcus only had a sad face on.


    "Sigh" "You can play with her for just a little but not for long I will be watching" the two immediately burst into happiness as they approached my soft prison and started touching and poking my face, they even brought some of the toys with them I indulged them in their silly little games.


    "Okay, that''s enough time for Eli to sleep" mother spoke in a commanding voice and the two children immediately departed but before that, they both gave me a little peck on both sides of my face, I still don''t understand the meaning of that but who cares.


    "Sleep tight little star" again mother did the same but I gave up at this point, as soon as the door closed I opened my eyes and with great effort managed to sit against the bars of my soft prison I closed my eyes and focused in my mind.


    I whispered "Zargal" I tried to contact Zargal but no voice whispered back only silence, just as I was about to open my eyes and sleep for real this time I felt it even though it was just for a second I felt a response to my call, I was right I have indeed access to the netherworld where my army sleeps I have managed to bring them with me.


    I opened my eyes and looked at my little chubby arms "this body is too weak to even summon the lesser warrior" I spoke to myself and laid down and got ready for the pain to come.


    Just as I thought to myself pain assaulted my body, I wanted to scream but I knew I shouldn''t because this was the only way to train this body to withstand my powers pain was needed.


    After a few seconds of excruciating pain, my eyes were too heavy for me to resist so I fell asleep as soon as I closed them from exhaustion.


    My last thought was that of happiness I was able to save my kind from the everlasting prison of the gods.

 Not an eventful year

    "Zargal!" still nothing though I feel I am getting stronger as this body ages. A year has passed in this new strange world I have diligently put myself through pain and training of this body, now I do not feel the pain as before when I try to at least reach out to the nether.


    My new family is rather annoying coming to bother me every day but I will be honest I have rather grown fond of them as they take care of me in this moment of weakness. But they also exploit it every day, like for example this they toy with me they make me do strange things like giving the siblings a hug, but that just complicates things as the mother also wants it later.


    "Come Eli! You can do it come to your big sister!" "No Eli come to big brother!" see what I mean they are taking advantage of me they make me walk towards them while they smile like idiots. But none the less like I said I indulge them in their silly shenanigans.


    Since the last time I walked towards Marcus, I guess this time it should be the sister Lilly. I slowly walked towards her with some bumps but nevertheless rather successfully reached her arms and I will be honest it was rather tiring doing this walking thing every day.


    "YAY!" the sister Lilly happily yelled as she hugged me tightly but still with not enough strength to hurt this frail body of mine. I glanced at Marcus and saw him as a rather pitiful being the look in his eyes was sad, he just looked at me and Lilly as she started spinning me around the room.


    "Ok my turn!" he jumped up and snatched me rather forcibly from Lilly''s hands and before I knew it was Marcus now that had his cheeks rubbing against mine. I don''t understand humans what was so fun?


    "Hey no fair she came to me it was fair and square Marcus!" Lilly was turning red I guess it was the rage that made her like that. Marcus just stuck out his tongue and continued with his game, this was the thing that happened daily for the whole year.


    "Marcus!" she yelled at him and grabbed me from his arms but he was not just about to let go as well, same old like every day, I rolled my eyes as they struggled with each other with me in the middle.


    That was when I hear loud footsteps and I knew I would finally be free again. The door was opened slowly and a face popped out with a rather menacing smile on her face. It the mother of three of us Lidia, she didn''t even say a single word as she entered the room.


    She glanced at the two which made them shudder as they paled than she moved her eyes towards me which were filled with warmth again.     She kissed me on my forehead and smiled gently I would be lying if I said I didn''t feel that strange warmth again like the last time. She then turned around and grabbed the two troublemakers by their ears and dragged them outside, all I could hear was soft and painful wailing from the other side of the door I pity them not.


    I wanted to take this chance and try to reach out to the netherworld again but I knew better. After a while, Lidia came back with the now two red eared siblings who spoke nothing as they just followed behind her like puppies.


    "You two sit there and be quiet" she said no she commanded them and all they could do was obey as they sulked in the corner of the room. She smiled towards me as she gently took me out of the baby crib, she placed me on her lap and brought out a new book.


    Yes, everyday Lidia my mother would read be strange books about some stupid heroes how they save the world, the first time she was a little surprised when I actually let out a few tears when she read me the book. The book was called "The sun hero and the seven companions".


    The book was about a hero called from a different world to battle the evil demon lord and his seven companions to that aided him in his battle against the evil. What made me cry that day was the fact that no one knew the demons side, no one asked if maybe they were not evil.


    This body was strange that was the first time I experienced that new kind of pain inside me. It was more painful than the actual wound made by the blade.


    But I did stop eventually and when I did the trio that was always here have never again read me a book about some hero and his quests. Now I was just fed all the information about the different animals that existed and plants. To be honest I was rather enjoying that there were also pictures of them it was strange to me how I found it interesting at first but I did not think about it too much.


    "Okay, my little star today we are gonna be reading about the reptiles of Alkern! How existing!" she snuggled me as she smiled and started reading about the all the different species of beasts she called reptiles.


    After she was done with the reading for today it was time for my food as my stomach was making funny noises. Thankfully she was not torturing me anymore my diet was moved to strange food it was liquidy but I was grateful as my teeth were not able to chew hard food yet.


    "Well, now its time for your nap little star" Lidia placed me back into the baby crib like always she gave me a kiss on my forehead. The two siblings finally made some move as they were restless in their sits. "Fine you two can give her a kiss as well" Lidia let out a sigh as she let the two siblings kiss me on my cheeks both at the same time.


    I was left alone in my room as they all happily left with smiles on their faces. I pulled myself up as I sat down with great difficulty, I closed my eyes and slowly let my mind wander. I opened them again in a flash before the pain I was all too familiar with came back.


    As the summonings were no longer painful I tried to look into the netherworld, but this time the pain was ten times the greater but still I did not make a sound. Because greater than the pain was the joy as for the split second I was able to see them slumbering.


    "Wait for me a little longer" I thought to myself as I was forced into sleep because of the great pain this undertaking required.
