Chapter 1- Unexpected morning
On the morning ofAugust 16, 2023 while walking towards school, I heard a sound from a far as if someone was screaming.
"hEEEYYYYYY!!!!!! MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!!!"
As the sound slowly turns louder and louder as time past by, I slowly turned my head in a 90 degree angle, facing towards the person who''s screaming from a far.
"I-I SAID MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!!! I CAN''T CONTROL THIS SCOOTER!!"
While in a calm manner, I gently moved to theacross of the intersection in order to make way for the girl with her uncontrolled scooter that is heading towards a dead end.
After the girl has passed me, I paused for awhile and saw her crashed at the dead end. As I saw the wreckage that occured in front of me, I went in to see if she was fine. Seeing her all covered in dirt and being pinned by her scooter.
"Are you perhaps alright?" I said in a slightly worried way.
"I''m a-aalwiiight~ ahahahaaaaa~"
Even though she went full speed and crashed on the dead end Idoubt that anyone can''t be alright after all that.
"T-that looks heavy, are you sure you''re alright? I''ll help you get that off."

As I helped the mysterious girl get her scooter out of the way I noticed a bright red spot in both her ankles and blood was slowly dripping from her head down her chin. Judging by her school uniform, we surely go to the same school and it seems that she is a year below me making her my underclassmen.
"Are you still with me, come, get on my back I will carry you to school, good thing that we''re already close or else we will get in big trouble. I''ll treat your wounds in the nurse''s office"
"A-alright, I guess I don''t have a choice.. I''m sorry for being a klutz... I just got that scooter recently so I don''t know how to use it. Ahahaha..."
It seems she got her senses back, and I''m somehow surprised that she was very cooperative with me. In the light-novels that i read on my free time that rarely comes, during these moments the person that crashed and is injured are not very cooperative and refuses help from the ones who saved them.

With her smiling face and her long dark curly hair that reaches the bottom of her knee, she reminded me of my friend Hina who is always energetic even if there''s a storm raging. Though the morning is cloudy, I feel like that I''m carrying the sun on my back.

After reaching the school, we headed towards the nurses office so I can treat her wounds and wrap some bandages around her feet in order for it to heal.

Hearing the name Io suddenly struck my head as if I was the one who got hit by her scooter head first. I thought to myself surprisingly "Did Hina told me that she has a little sister?!"

As I panicked I suddenly bit my tongue and then passed out, as time goes by I heard a recognizable voice calling the nickname that I despised the most.
"Mikan, oi mikaaaaaannn! wake up!!"

"Why are you still sleeping? It''s already lunchtime."
I bolted out of the hospital bed to check the wall clock at the top of the nurse''s desk.

"Geez, it''s the first time I''ve seen you like this. When I went to see my little sister she told me that you were the one who rescued her and carried her all the way here. So.. thank you for that."
As I accepted my fate of not having a perfect attendance anymore, I collected myself and breathe deeply and let out a huge sigh.
"Ahem, sorry that you have to see all of that."
"No biggies, by the way, we have library duties after lunch so you need to get yourself together. Also here''s the handout on today''s class."

Hina Io, A girl of many mysteries. She is different from her little sister Hana, She has a long dark curly hair with asilver eye while Hina has a silver short straight hair with a bun that has french braids and black obsidian eyes that has white stroke as if there''s always a shooting stars in her eyes.
Although they have different hairstyles and eyes, both of them have the same type of personality. Going back to the present, despite of them being energetic and all.. I''m very surprised that they''re both cooperative with me. A cold sweat suddenly drips down my back and I slowly got engulf by a cold aura of some sort.
"Mikan! Are you there? Earth to mikan!! Geez, why do you keep always spacing out."
"Uh-AH! D-don''t suddenly poke my stomach like that or else I''ll-"
My stomach suddenly let out a huge growl that can be heard from across the room. My face became flush with a bright red color, filled with embarrasment I bolted out of the room without my bag leaving the two sisters dumbfounded and went towards my secret hideout.
"uwaaAAAAA!!"
"e-eh? Mikan!?"
"Bea-senpai?!"
Chapter 2 - A freshly picked tomato
While Hina and Hana were dumbfounded, I quickly ran out of the room to hide. 8-10 minutes have passed I arrived at the hideout that I usually read my novels when I have the free time.
Yes, it¡¯s what you exactly think of, the history section of the library! Where you are no one bothers to go into, it¡¯s perfect for me.

As I speak out my mind while I was staring out the window, I felt a cold hard tin like metal that seems to be touching the nape of my neck as I looked up Hina was behind me holding a canned coffee and my lunch box, and of course Hana was also there behind her big sister.

I guess that I really can¡¯t escape Hina knowing that we started being together during middle school. It really can¡¯t be helped, just thinking of it gave me a goosebump. I shuddered.

As Hina was trying to reach out a piece of her meal, Hana suddenly swooped in and went for the kill, eating on what¡¯s in Hina¡¯s chopsticks and melts down with pleasure from eating her food.

After eating lunch and finishing all of the afternoon classes, I decided to go to the library to perform the duties that my homeroom teacher left me after being scolded for cutting classes. The sure don¡¯t hold back from a minor thing, I guess it can¡¯t be helped it¡¯s rather my fault after all.
It¡¯s also perfect timing since it was my favorite time of the day, rays of orange light seep through the room as I carefully watch the sun slowly setting and hits my black shoulder-length hair that reveals a glowing orange color along with my red eyes whenever the sun hits them.
People usually get scared of me because of how they see my face with a grin that can suddenly kill someone during that this time of the day, but I don¡¯t mind it. If I enjoy my time no one can stop me as I waltz through.

Hina really does come at unexpected times, but this time, I think that my soul left my body because of how silent she was during my time dancing across the room.

When Hina gave me the bag filled with gadgets that I¡¯m not truly familiar with, I gave her a confused look. I somehow thought that she was going to give me a board game or puzzle pieces but everything in the container she gave me was way too out of my league.

Finishing the task that has been left with us, Hina and I dropped by to do some groceries in a nearby supermarket and eat ice cream along the way home.

When we parted ways, I realized something and went into a meltdown and decided to slap myself after letting out a huge sigh to get some of the bad feelings that made my chest heavy.

When I got home I was greeted by my responsibilities, and slowly but surely. I accurately dodge every responsibility that came in my way. But as the good child that I am (an only child) I will finish everything so that I will have the free time to play the game that Hina gave me.

After getting myself back together I decided to prepare everything I need. I¡¯m really thankful to Hina for giving me a well-detailed instruction manual so I don¡¯t get confused.
¡°Done, now all that is left is for me to wear this headpiece? Yeah, I need to wear the headpiece. Oh, right I have to message Hina and let her know that I will be playing the game¡±
Going through my bag to get my phone, I quickly messaged Hina and she instantly replied with ¡°Okay!¡± with a saluting sticker that she made herself.
¡°Sigh, ahahah, energetic as ever Hina.. it¡¯s 6:30pm, I¡¯m not even good at games like this¡ I hope I won¡¯t die during battles. Ahahah.¡±
I went and lay down my bed and turned on the headpiece device and suddenly a burst of colors went through right in front of my eyes. While slowly opening my eyes while covering my face, I have been greeted by a giant window like frame with a message written on it.

Amaze of what¡¯s in front of me, I, without no doubt I immediately went for the accept button and the window suddenly engulfed me as if it was the game called ¡°pockman¡± I closed my eyes and covered myself again and later on I was in a town filled with people of all kinds of races, colors, and height.

Hina again crept up behind me again and shouted as if it was a greeting.

As Hina was taking out her mirror, I slowly looked up and see if there are still people staring at me. It feels uncomfortable knowing that there are lots of races here in this game.

As I gaze upon a mirror I see a bob cut white hair with gray highlights and on top of it seems to be as ears, I slowly lifted my arms to touched if they were real and I was in shock, they are real, in fact, I can move them. Lowering down the mirror my face is filled with simple makeup and has a bit resembling of what a fox looks like and my eyes are yellow with my pupils looking like a cat¡¯s eye.
Not looking at the mirror anymore I slowly looked down my clothes I got surprised that I seem to be wearing a black shrine maiden¡¯s outfit with a cross badge in the right side of my chest. Later, I realized that there was something heavy behind my lower back body, and when I turned around I saw Hana hugging what it appears to be my tail.
¡°I must say Mikan, you sure look big in that outfit.¡±
¡°W-what are you talking about?! Also, why are you and Hana still look the same?!!¡±
Filled with embarrassment, I covered my chest and lower body so that Hina won¡¯t tease me anymore.
¡°But Bea-senpai you do look quite big in your character here in Euterpe Online¡±
¡°Pffft, yeah mikan! Either way, you¡¯re still a pretty mikan whether it¡¯s here or in the real world.¡±
With my face that turned into a bright tomato and filled with embarrassment, I silently screamed inside while Hana who was being too comfortable with my tail, I can¡¯t help but not to disturb her cuteness, so I decided to let her hug my tail for a while.

¡°Oh nothing, I just hope that you don¡¯t get sick tomorrow.¡±
After this I went off and look back at Hina and stared daggers at her, surely, she knows what I meant judging by her face. looking at the all the shops in the place I went along with Hana, leaving Hina behind.

Chapter 3 - Her first step.
¡°Oi! Mikan!!! Don¡¯t ignore me! Mnnnn¡± groaned Hina while running towards me and Hana.
As Hina was trying to catch up with me and Hana she got lost along the way. Wandering around some stalls, I saw a hair accessory that is similar to what I use back when I was in middle school. Apparently, that accessory was a brown hairpin that has a small amber like jewel in the middle of the dangling strap that looks like it was woven by hand.
¡°Like what you see deary?¡± The old lady approached me with a smile.
¡°Ah no, I just think that this is a pretty hairpin.¡±
¡°Now, now, You don¡¯t have to be so modest. Since you¡¯re a cute and honest girl I¡¯ll give you a discount for it, the person who sold me that hairpin told me that hairpin contains a beast that has been sealed for almost 300 years.¡±
As the old lady told me the history of this hairpin, I somehow feel guilty of not getting this even though I just started playing the game. My face was full of doubt and the next thing I knew, Hana bought the hairpin and decided to place it on the side of my bangs.
¡°E-eh?! Hana since when did you- how much does this pin cost a-anyway?!¡°
¡°35 golds my dear, but for you, I¡¯ll sell it for 25 golds.¡±

Seeing Hana smile, my heart suddenly became tight and my body decided to move on its own hugging Hana tightly. Speaking of Hana, though she resembles her features from the game, her outward appearance in real life differed slightly. Her hair was braided into one while a thick strand of hair being loose on one side of her head.
The clothes she was wearing was similar to a witch¡¯s dress, but a few changes were made to it. The back of her robe had a layer of frills and in the front, she wore a pleated skirt followed by an asymmetrical sock that the other one is longer than the other along with brown boots to compliment everything.
¡°Come to think of it where¡¯s Hina? I still need to ask her on what this world is and why did I end up in this body.¡± I calmly said to Hana while pinching her cheeks.
¡°Pwetty swuure bwig shis wiw fwind us evwentuwawy, shpwikwing of thwe dwevil thwere she is now~¡± pointing at the direction of where Hina is charging towards us making an extremely worried face.
¡°Eh?! Ahem, oh my, where did you went off to Hina?¡±
¡°I-I should be asking you that, you even kidnapped my little sister. I may be energetic, but I used up all my magic in just searching for you guys.¡± She grabbed onto my shoulder to catch her breath as she pants.
Looking from where she appeared I saw plenty of cracks on the ground and some debris, some people were staring at us again, I thought to myself. ¡°Do we really stand out to much?¡±
¡°L-let¡¯s rest on the bench over there for a bit, shall we?¡±
As the three of us towards to the central bench, I slowly supported Hina in sitting down the on the bench. After a while, she slowly getting herself back together again, but her face still looks pale, maybe it¡¯s because of her mana deficiency.
¡°How are you doing big sis? Here have a mana potion, it will help you replenish the mana that you have lost.¡±
Hana hurriedly took out a mana potion out of her bag and gave it to Hina for her to drink. The potion that Hana gave is somehow close to a high-tier grade, after drinking the potion I was surprised that Hina immediately returned to her cheerful self.
¡°I never knew that you guys suddenly left me alone like that.¡± Pouting and flailing her arms around as if she was a little kid.
¡°S-sorry, I acted out of reflex again,¡± I said remorsefully. ¡°By the way, what kind of game is this and why do I look like I¡¯m a deity of some shrine?¡±

¡°Those 4 Goddesses decided that they wanted their own cities instead, so except for the Goddess who is in the Capital, the other 8 Goddesses are paired up and working together in order to see if everything goes well.¡±

I¡¯m shocked that Hana is very light here in the game, maybe it has something to do with my status.

As Hina spoke, she raised her hand against herself and swiped from her elbow down to her wrist. A window suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

¡°Well, I¡¯m just doing it for fun. Everyone here has their own way of opening their status window since, in other games that only use a one-stroke system, pk players cut off the victim¡¯s arm or control them with mind-manipulation magic to steal stuff.¡±
¡°How unfortunate¡¡± I suddenly felt squirmish after hearing all that and placed my hand over my mouth.
¡°How about you Bea-senpai? Can I see your status window?¡± Hana said with excitement in her eyes.
¡°Sure, after we¡¯re done eating at the inn, my hunger level is pretty low and if this was in the real world, my stomach will be loud as a lion¡¯s roar, ahahah¡¡± I said to Hana jokingly.
¡°Oh, here¡¯s the inn, let¡¯s get inside so we can eat.¡± Hina pointed up at the signboard.
¡°Finally, food I can¡¯t wait for my hunger to go away.¡± I said to myself while crying tears of joy.
A loud crash is suddenly heard from inside the bar.
Chapter 4 - A hungry beast
A sudden crash is heard from inside the building.

Surprised at what¡¯s happening inside the three of them rushed towards the scene.

The inn-keeper let out a high-pitched shriek as a result of being terrified, chairs and tables were thrown across the room as a tall masculine player and a well-built player fought with each other because of the other party don¡¯t like ¡°Jazz.¡±
¡°Aaahn?! What did you say about Jazz?!¡±
¡°You heard me right baldy, Jazz sucks!¡±
¡°H-Hina-sama please help!¡±
The inn-keeper timidly runs behind Hina¡¯s back holding her tray close to her chest.
¡°E-eh?! what¡¯s going on here?¡± Hina replied while looking at what¡¯s in front.
¡°T-the tall man was just talking about music when the other guy countered him by saying that Jazz isn¡¯t good.¡±
¡°Cut the crap shortie!¡± He raised a loud voice. ¡°Jazz is a style of music that has a steady rhythm, improvisation, and has a perfect melody, kids this nowadays don¡¯t know how good music is back then.¡±
The masculine man did a weirdly pose as if he was playing jazz.
¡°Are you kidding me old man?!¡± He replied, ¡°Rock music is the way it goes! If you are a strong man you need to compliment it with strong music!!¡±
He did a pose like holding a guitar in mid-air.
As weird as it can get, ¡°moving to another inn must be nice but¡ª¡± is already written in Ambea¡¯s face. While the two men suddenly engage each other in a fist fight since battling with swords is not very much suitable for this situation.
During their fight, some of the food that was on the table flew from across the room and hit Hina¡¯s face and made a mess on her clothes.
Ambea slowly turned her head in shock, Hina popped out a vein at the side of her forehead.
¡°You two-¡° Hina clenched her fist.
A beast was awoken from her sleep.
¡°H-Hina?! Hana do something!!¡± I panicked as I don¡¯t have anything to do.
Hana just stared at what¡¯s happening as if it¡¯s a common thing here in this world.
¡°Ah! I know what to do!¡±
¡°Really?!¡± My eyes sparkled as I replied.
Hana went through her inventory and took out a bag of popcorn.
¡°Popcorn! This kind of encounters is truly rare for me since I always stayed at my lab. Go!! Big sis!!!¡± Hana energetically cheered for her sister.
I let out a huge sigh as I slowly gave up on trying to stop them.
¡°You lot have done it now!! I recently got these maid costume from an event and now it just got soiled by your foolishness¡.¡±
Seeing how Hina got angry, her obsidian eyes became azure blue and her clothes that have been soiled by the foods turned into black blood as it drips down to her clothes onto the ground. Two to three black blood spears floated behind her head.
¡°You think you scare us missy??¡±
¡°Heh, you can just go outside and play with your fellow friends, this is a battle within real me-.¡±
As the man with a well-built figure talked a blood spear flew at his face with great speed then stopped.
Looks like he froze when Hina fired one of her spears, scary.
His pride suddenly went rock bottom and due to fear that the masculine felt from Hina¡¯s aura, he took out his great axe that is made from iron and charged at her.
¡°TAKE THIS!! aAHHH!¡±
