《I Have Reincarnated With No Cheats!》 Prologue I think I lived an okay life. It was currently 8:00 pm. As I lay rest upon these soft and fluffy white sheets while reminiscing about the past, the door suddenly creaked open. Although it was not a pet peeve of mine, it did somewhat annoy me with that sharp and painful sound every time it opened. How I wished they would fix it, but beggars can''t be choosers, is what they would say. I heard a familiar voice calling out to me as I slowly opened my eyes. "Ah! You''re finally awake! You haven''t ate yet, right? Hmm Hmm~ !" The origin of the voice was in deep thought. After a short pause, the voice perked up once again. "So, would you like the great me to provide you something~?" they said with confidence. "For instance...like apples or pears? ... Or me~?" exclaimed the excited and bubbly voice. This person never fails to amuse me. "Haha~ Thank you very much for the offer, Rii. I will take the pears then." I said while laughing lightly at the nuance of his gesture. He then brought his left hand to his hip while reaching out for something in his bag. "Mou~!! You completely ignored what I said at the last bit, huh!" he said as he made an obvious frown. "Oh well, it''s just like you though~ So it''s okay~!" he exclaimed as the frown quickly turned into a bright smile. His personality changed slightly though, huh. Though, it did brightened me up a lot in the past with his simple, yet blunt, enthusiastic expressions. Ever since we met in elementary school, we somehow became best of friends, even though our personalities were on the opposite ends of the spectrum. Back then, Rii was actually a pompous, cold and arrogant type of person, like an ore-sama. Where as I was never the one to talk a lot, probably making me an introvert, but he didn''t mind it at all. He would always come and try to talk to me after class, even though rumors had it that he was like an ''Ice Prince''. I chuckled to myself remembering about that. Ice Prince. Who on earth names a child in elementary school a prince? Oh my oh my, thinking about those elementary school days makes me want to burst out into laughter. Honestly, how did we even become friends? Oh well, no need to sweat for the details. The important thing is the present. It''s that he is right there in front of me, and that''s what is most important to me. Although it really made me happy that he continued to talk to me, I''m definitely not going to say that to his face though because he wouldn''t let me hear the end of it. "Here you are! A pear delivery express by your truly, the great Rii~¡î !" he proclaimed with a smirk as he slowly made his way towards me, with a pear in his hand. He then handed the pear to me, patiently waiting for a response. I swiftly took a small bite out of it, and then the juicy sweetness exploded in my mouth, making the corners of my lips curve up. It was delicious. This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. "Thank you, Rii. It tastes amazing." I beamed as I gave him a small smile. "It tastes better than the food they serve here." I chuckled as I took another bite out of the pear. It really brings me to joy when he comes to see me since he is the only one left that regularly visits me in this dreary room. My other friends and family slowly stopped coming to visit me as time went on. Am I sad, you ask? Yes, bur it''s okay since Rii''s visits always wipes the melancholy out of my head. After some time passed as we talked over the silly stuff that happened in school, his voice solemnly turned into a worried tone. "...Hey, Camilla..." he croaked out. "Y-you....will get better, right?" He softly spoke to me as his lips trembled. Slowly, tears were forming under his eyes, yearning for a confirmation, even if it was fake. I silently stared into his disheveled face as tears traced down his left cheek. With my right hand, I reached to cup his left cheek to wipe away his tears. I wanted to tell him I was okay, but I do not want to lie to him in my last moments. After a brief moment of silence, I spoke up. "I cannot get better, Rii. The doctor said I won''t live the next sunrise." I calmly said to him. I already expected I had no more time to live. This unknown disease of mine has already penetrated deep into my central nervous system, making me unable to move the lower half of the body. As with the other patients that were diagnosed with this disease, when they were unable to move their lower half, they soon died within the next couple of days. "I''m sorry." I took in a deep breathe, trying to calm my soon, non-existent nerves. Another moment of silence came in once again. He could not utter a word of comfort because that would only add onto my pain, since I knew I was going to go already, and he knows it too. Soon, his arms that were quivering swiftly pulled me into an embrace. His head, gently burrowing into my shoulders, unwilling to back down. My chest tightened upon his action, with my breathing steadily becoming harder and harder to swallow. He slowly began to unwrap his arms around my frail body. Before he could speak, a voice shot up. "It is 9:00 pm already. Visiting hours are over. Mr. Ritsu." The nurse said in a monotonous voice. She then took him by the collar and dragged him out of the room. "Thank you." I said to him before he was gone, shooting him my last smile. Soon, silence remained once again in the bleak room that I was in. "Thank you..." I muttered to myself. Slowly, my eyelids grew heavy, and the dreary and desolate world that I was in turned dark. 3rd POV - The Next Day, Before Dawn. He rushed up to the counter once again the next morning to check in as early as possible to meet her once again. He did not care if he skipped class. The only thing wanted most right now was to be there in her last moments. After the nurse came in with the proper documents and a visitor signature, she lead him to the room that she was in. He came into the room and soon came into view of the figure that he always knew behind the white drapes. He slowly approached the figure and opened the dangling curtains that surrounded the bed. He was soon devastated as he saw a limp body that was covered with a white sheet, enveloping her body. The feeling that welled up within him seeped through as he could no longer withstand the pain. As much as he tried holding it in, his throat tightened and soon he had a short intake of breaths. Trying to rationalize the situation to fix his incoherent thoughts, his bottom lip quivered as the world around him rapidly turned blurry. Grief trickled down the mess inside of him as his red and swollen eyes bursted into tears once again. He knew. He knew that the hand that once gave him warmth and comfort for the last couple of years, was never to be felt from again. Chapter 1 - Revival The sunlight peeked in from the windows and reflected off the glistening glass onto my face. Startled by the sensation of the warm rays, I slowly opened my eyes to see daylight. W-wait...I can see? I did not die? But... I clearly remembered that I went unconscious on a hospital bed. Yet... What is this? Numerous questions flooded my head as I tried to grasp the situation. "..." I panicked as I gradually started to lose my composure. What happened to being in a hospital? The place I am in clearly does not look like a hospital room. Trying to recollect myself to think logically, I scanned the room around me. Although at first my sight was quite blurry, I accustomed to it soon enough. The bed I am situated on was a large and luxurious navy blue bed entailed with intricate embroidery on the ends of the sheets. The flat, rock hard cushion that I was used to in the hospital was replaced with a soft, fluffy broad white pillow. On top of that, there was a closet, table and a desk. The room I was in definitely looked expensive. Breathing in and out at a fixed pace, I slowly calmed down. I then began to question myself once again as I examined my surroundings, trying to remember what has happened. After a brief while trying to compute what was going on, an unpleasant realization surfaced in my mind. ...The last thing I remembered was that I was at the hospital at my death bed. I wasn''t supposed to live until the next sunlight was what I was informed by the doctor. Yet, I can clearly see and feel the rays brimming with warmth from the window. Is this perhaps, the afterlife? I did not think it would be this serene. As I tried to stretch out the soreness in my body, something in particular caught my eyes. My hands are small. My feet, too, are tiny and stumpy, like a small baby. I tried moving my body, but all I felt was sluggishness tugging back at me. I tried to stand up; however, no matter how much I put the energy into my arms and legs to pull myself up, my limbs grew weak and I slumped back down on the bed. Before I could try to rationalize my thoughts about this situation, knocking could be heard from the door to the room I was in. After two knocks, three figures came into my room. One was dressed up as a maid, the other two looked regal. "She''s awake! Finally~ My dear sweetheart daughter! Are you okay? You came down with a harsh flu," asked the voice filled with worry as she approached my bedside. That person with the simple, yet elegant violet purple dress...? Daughter? But this person is definitely not associated with the term of ''mother'' that I know. This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience. The mother I knew of... she would of never visited me. The only one that visited me constantly would be R- Huh? Who was it again that would regularly come visit me? I can''t seem to remember. With my small hand resting on the bottom of my chin, I began pondering, ignoring the voices in the background. I have shrunk into a child''s body. On top of that, I am in an unfamiliar place, with those people in front of me who are supposed to be my parents. Does that mean...this is not the afterlife, but reincarnation? ¡ºYes, that is correct. You have been reincarnated. ¡» A voice suddenly resounded in my head, snapping me out of my thoughts. Confused about where the origin of the cold, blas¨¦d voice came from, I blurted out another question. ''...Who are you? Are you... perhaps god? Also, how did I get here, and where am I?'' I was not the religious type, but this would be my best normal, outwardly answer I could give to comprehend my thoughts to understand this world better. ¡ºNegative. I am called ''Administrator''; the voice of this world. Your soul has been transported to this world, as you have lost your physical body in the mortal world called Earth. To answer your second question, the young girl from this realm has died and lost her soul due to an illness at birth. Therefore, your soul was placed into the young girl''s body because it was compatible. This gesture was done out of the good will of someone. ...You were not supposed to die prematurely. It was because of an unknown entity that has disrupted the balance of nature in your world that caused your untimely death.¡» ...I...Wasn''t supposed to die? A clenching, constricting pain was felt within my small chest as I was beginning to reminiscence about the past. However painful it would be for reorganizing my thoughts, I forced those thoughts out of my head for now. I did not want to be distracted in the important conversation within me. I definitely do not want to become an emotional mess right now. That can happen later.I wanted to focus on the present to extract information from this voice before it disappears. ¡ºTo answer your third question, you are currently in the world called Arcana. In your human terms, a fantasy world with magic and monsters.¡» ''What happens if one were to lose their soul? What exactly happened to the original owner of this body?'' I asked the voice in my head. ¡ºWhen a soul has perished, that means they are lost forever. A curse ate away at her soul and ultimately, the body became just a shell.¡» Something within me pricked at my heart. A curse, is it? Doesn''t that mean I can still contract it since it has happened before? ¡º Nay. As compensation for bringing you to this world, I have removed the curse from your body. Though, you will receive some repercussions.¡» After exchanging a discussion with this mysterious ''Administrator'' in my head, he did not answer anymore of my questions and the voice dissipated in my head. While I was processing what exactly just happened, I quickly jerked my head up, glancing to the side to the origin of the chatter around me. It mainly came from the young woman who was supposed to be the mother of this child''s body. With a deep breath, I finally tuned into the conversation of the three young adults. "Dear, I think our daughter is still under the influence of the flu. She is spacing out still and she is not responding to us." The ladylike figure, eluded with worry, approached and reached out to embraced me into a short hug. "Don''t worry! Your mother will definitely find the best doctor to cure you!" Fire within her eyes could literally be seen as she stormed out of the room. After a moment of silence since her departure, a somewhat young adult man, perhaps in his late 20s to early 30s came into view of bed. "Ahem." coughed the husky voice. His warm, serene smile to his wife as he bid her farewell turned into a stone cold glare to me. "It looks like you are finally paying attention." "*Cough* Though, excuse my wife for her behavior. However, I have questions for you." The young man started to approach me, locking his grey eyes in contact with mine. "Who exactly are you? You are not our daughter." Eh? I''m already busted? Don''t I have like... another few hundred or so chapters to go before my reincarnation is revealed?
