《Yeo-na and the Fox god》


 Ch. 1: Kojitmal

    In the Yokai world, a fierce battle was taking place between an aristocratic creature, and the Oni, the creature sought to dominate them and take over the realm of the Oni. It fortified its prowess and reign of terror in the yokai world.


    Dressed in a flowing black and grey kimono of floral print and on its feet were black socks and wooden slippers. On its head it wore a Kanzashi "royal hairpin" of a silver color with deep blue gemstones, and eyes of ice purple.


    Moving faster than the eye could see, the creature took out Futsu-no-mitama from the sheath, with one swing of the powerful sword surrounded by foxfire, hundreds of Oni fell to the ground with blood splattered everywhere, seeing their fallen comrades the rest of the Oni turned to their leader for guidance.     "Taiki-sama! Why are you trying to destroy us? We have sworn our allegiance to you three seasons ago, why have you chosen to betray us!"


    The leader of the Oni shouted the angry words, but no sooner had the words been spoken, the creature sent a rain of foxfire with a swing of the sword in its hand. More bodies of Oni rose in the air and fell to the ground in a rain of blood.

 Ch. 2: Kojitmal

    The bodies on the ground slowly began to vanish in a blur of dark red spirit energy. Looking at the remains of the leader of the Oni realm, the creature gave its parting words.


    "You served your purpose; no true alliance exists.."


    Its words were cut short when it saw movement among the remaining pile of slowly vanishing bodies. Looking closer, it saw a young Oni child with blood covering its naked body with tiny horns on its head, its hands and feet had tiny claws that were not fully grown.     "Please...my lord, spare my life..., Asahi promises to faithfully serve by your side, forever."


    Looking at the Oni with eyes full of disdain and arrogance, the creatures sheathed its sword, "I have no interest in having anyone serve me."


    Raising its hand with a forefinger pointed at the Oni, Foxfire emerged. The creature released the Foxfire which went straight towards its target; at the last moment, the creature dispelled the blaze with a flick of its hand.

 Ch. 3: Kojitmal

    "From now on your duty is to attend to matters that I find distasteful and accompany me everywhere I go, should you fail to fulfill your duties, your life will come to a sudden and painful end."


    Feeling grateful, the Oni gave a formal and elaborate bow several times until finally rising up to walk towards the creature that saved its life.


    "You cannot be walking with me naked, a set of clothes are needed. Do not speak until spoken to, only leave my side when commanded, do not act on your own. Will you abide by all these rules? Finally, from this time forth, you will address me as Taiki."

    The creature released its foxfire which wrapped around the Oni child to fashion a plain flowing peach brown kimono, black socks, and straw sandals, a red and black Oni mask covered the Oni''s face, a sheathed small dagger was to the side of the kimono, the sleeves of the clothing hid its claws.

 Ch. 4: Kojitmal

    The foxfire disappeared when the transformation was complete. Once under the spell the growth of an Oni will remain frozen.


    Turning to walk in the opposite direction, the creature motioned with its hand for the Oni child to follow behind, they began walking, and at the last minute the creature sent a blast that wiped all traces of the fight that occurred there.


    "I will be back to build what will become my habitat. You can now follow me."


    "Yes, Taiki-sama." Came the reply from the Oni child.

    A portal serves as a passageway to the other places within the yokai world. It is an opening filled with a dense mass of yokai aura, which could change form based on the aura of the being that invokes its presence.


    On reaching to open the portal that will lead out of the Oni realm, the creature hesitated.


    "What is that smell?"


    The Oni child remained silent. Restless to know the source of the strange smell, the creature used its massive aura to force its way to the source of the disturbance.

 Ch. 5: Kojitmal

    In the human world, the driver of the Haemin group parked by the pavement and got out of the car. He opened the door to the back seat for the young heiress of Haemin group.


    "Agassi, we are now at Nari''s."


    He waited until the child was completely out of the car before shutting the door and securing the black car with the keypad.


    The young girl was dressed in a custom style red and white knee length dress, wearing black shoes and white socks. Her black chin-length hair was held in a custom-made pin of a gold-plated leaf with clear crystal gemstones.


    "Woo-jin, what ice cream do you think I should get?"


    "How about the honey-ice flower gelato ice cream? You haven''t tried that yet."

    As they both began making their way into Nari''s cafe, the young girl noticed an unusual presence on the other end of the crosswalk and paused, she ran towards the direction of the strange apparition.


    "Agassi! Stop! Where are you going?"


    The driver of the Haemin group ran as fast as his legs could carry him but could not catch up to the girl. Meanwhile, it was a busy day, buses, cars, and motorbikes were moving on the road, and the sidewalk was overcrowded with bustling people trying to reach their destinations.


    Seeing the girl about to cross the road, the driver began shouting in panic and fear for people to stop her. The creature saw the event unfolding before its eyes and raised its hand as everything came to a standstill.

 Ch. 6: Kojitmal

    Strange enough the girl kept on running towards the creature while everyone remained frozen.


    "Taiki-sama, the human is coming towards us, what should I do?"


    "Take her by the hand, and head back to the human dressed in black and white that has one hand raised in the air, they seem to have a relationship of sorts."


    The Oni child moved swiftly to act as commanded, he grabbed the girl¡¯s hand and began walking toward the human on the other side.


    Walking closely behind them, the creature did not understand the reason why it was following them, it knew for certain the entrancing smell was coming from the child but was having difficulty figuring out what it meant.

    As the Oni child was about to touch the man to break the spell that held him, the girl broke free from the Oni''s hand and ran towards the creature.


    On getting there, she reached out to touch its kimono, marveling at the strangeness and beauty of the clothing and the creature.

 Ch. 7: Kojitmal

    Taken aback by the straightforward nature of the human and the strangeness of their meeting, the creature coldly looked down its chiseled nose to address the human.


    "My name is Taiki, I do not know what your presence means, but I hope we never have to see each other ever again."


    "Tae-ki Ajusshi..."


    Puzzled by the human¡¯s mannerism the creature chose to respond.

    It was then it dawned on the creature that the human could not pronounce its name but thought that she was saying it correctly.


    The creature not waiting for her to continue speaking wrapped her in its foxfire and sent her to her driver. It motioned for the Oni to return to his side. The creature''s aura forced open the portal that led to the yokai world, and together they entered, and the portal closed behind them.


    Shortly afterwards, everyone and everything came back to life. The driver of Haemin group did not remember what happened neither did anyone else. The only one who had a recollection was the young girl.


    Together they entered Nari''s cafe and the events that followed changed the course of the future.

 Ch. 8: Dahaengida

    Twenty years later¡­.


    Waking up to the persistent knock at the door, a young woman in her twenties rose from the bed. Her raven hair was disheveled, and her dark-colored eyes were swollen from sleep.


    Wearing a silver-grey negligee, she slowly made her way toward the door. On hearing movement within, her personal driver walked in to deliver his message.


    "Agassi! Tepu-nim and Samo-nim will like to see you in the living room."


    "Woo-jin, let them know that I will be with them shortly."


    The man in his mid-forties had neatly cut hair, clean shaved face and dressed in a white shirt, black suit with tie and pants, wearing black socks and fluffy black slippers.

    He began heading in the direction leading to the stair to let her parents know that she will be coming to see them.


    On entering the living room, the man bowed in greeting. "Tepu-nim, Samo-nim. Agassi said she will be coming down to see you very soon."


    The CEO of the Haemin group was a man in his fifties and was seated on a mint-green futon couch across from his wife. He was dressed in a blue shirt and white pants. His black hair was stylish cut and was clean shaven and was wearing fluffy black slippers.


    His wife was also a woman in her fifties but looked almost half her age. She was dressed in a white custom gown, which complemented her black chin-length hair. Her nails were painted a shade of pale almond and on her feet were dark grey fluffy slippers.


    "How has Yeo-na been doing of lately?"


    "Agassi has been in good spirits, she has been able to meet deadlines, and company performance has been excellent."
