《Cybernetic Array God》 Death and Blackouts The tomb was massive stretching higher and higher into the endless void. Various colorful formation and arrays were humming gently as they rotated twisted and floated around performing their intricate tasks. The massive array wasn''t working yet its majesty would awe any cultivator no matter which realm they were in. The peaceful tranquility was broken and a man dressed in a purple robe stumbled out of a portal. He coughed repeatedly until blood flew out of his mouth. His long hair covered his face. His entire body was riddled various scars. Chunks of his flesh were missing with a myriad of auras floating around him. A feminine hand emerged from the portal. Three rings adorned its beautiful hands. The man sensed it immediately and reached out to the formation. A small black array had appeared beside him. He put his hands on it and urged a trickle of his murky and slow Qi just enough to activate it. The entire tomb hummed with life as it tried to protect itself. Various arrays and formations appeared as they wrapped around the black portal. Threads of Qi wrapped around the hand. The portal visibly shrunk but the hand wouldn''t have any of it as it tried to force itself through. One of the rings on the hand glowed with a three-headed green dragon totem. With a massive roar, a three-headed calamity dragon flew out of the humongous totem. The dragon charged towards the man but a new dark red formation appeared on top of it. The dragons momentum was dispersed as red tentacles coiled around it. The wretched man coughed out even more blood. A pool of blood had already formed around him. He summoned an absorption array. It flew towards him and he immediately dumped out all of the spirit stones in his rings. The spirit stones crumbled into dust before hitting the surface of the array. He allowed the array to use the emergency resource storages and commanded it to activate the space transfer formation. The entire tomb hummed and trembled as the man closed his eyes and blacked out. --- -- - The man gasped as he woke up. He immediately tried to activate his QI but there was no response at all. The pain had disappeared but his current state was even worse. He couldn''t feel his QI at all. On top of that, his body felt so weak and lethargic that it was almost laughable. He started looking around. He was in some sort of room. Sunlight filtered through the glass window and the man looked straight at the sun. His vision was blinded momentarily and an intense headache assaulted him as he groaned and buried his head in his knees. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it He reappeared in the massive array tomb. He looked around with obvious surprise and astonishment. He did a full sweep of his surroundings with his divine sense and observed that the array was heavily damaged. The floating arrays and formations were trembling and sputtering. Some of them weren''t even operating anymore. However, the most surprising thing was the fact that he''d turned into a ghost or specter of some sort. He tried to touch his face but it passed right through the face. He looked down at his faint hands with bitterness. How the great King of Arrays had fallen. All because of love and trust. Rage flashed across his pale face as he cursed madly. To think that ''she'' and the clan would betray him all because of their stupid desire to suppress this array. After everything he''d done for the clan and her. He''d made enemies left and right just for the clan and her and this was how the world repaid him! By trying to destroy his greatest creation! He was going to squeeze the damn world and piss on every single mortal and immortal once he returned. How dare the world try and suppress him! He grinned morbidly as he thought how he was still alive and the array hadn''t been destroyed. Damaged, yes but it was only a matter of time before he fixed it and went back to take his revenge and beat the sh*t out of everyone! The man was already thinking of ways to fix the array but he disappeared. --- -- - The man was back in that weak and feeble body. He was lying in the middle of the bathtub and the shower was still running. He looked around with surprise and tried to stand up but another intense headache started to assault him and a torrent of memories assaulted his soul as he screamed! "AHHHH!!!!" --- -- - Stan was doing work on his computer while drinking his coffee. Saira was cooking some pancakes when they heard the scream. "What was that?" Stan asked and stood up. "Jay, what was that?" Saira shouted. "I don''t know. I think it was Cyrus!" Jay shouted back with a hint of fear. The couple hurriedly went upstairs and knocked on the bathroom door. "Honey, are you okay?" Saira asked worriedly as she knocked on the door. "Son?" asked Stan but there was no response. They could only hear groans and wails from the bathroom. "Jay grab the keys." "Okay!" He replied and ran downstairs. He grabbed the keys and came back up. Stan opened the door and Saira hurriedly moved the shower curtain and saw Cyrus. He was grabbing his head and groaning. The family called 911 a few minutes later and Cyrus was sent to the hospital. --- -- - 2 Hours Later The man opened his eyes. Sleep. How nostalgic. It''d been years since he''d slept like this. He looked around and saw Cyrus''s mother sitting there worriedly. This body''s biological mother. He''d somehow invaded the body of this sixteen-year-old boy in a world called Earth. There was no form of cultivation in this world and judging from the fac- She grabbed his hand and asked, interrupting his train of thought."Son, how are you?" "I''m fine." He replied hoarsely. "Do you need something to eat?" "No. I''m fine." Cyrus pulled his hand out of her grasp. He''d grown distrustful of other people. Especially ''family''. His clan and lover had killed him out of cold blood, after all. Saira didn''t seem to mind as she pressed a button on a remote. It was in order to call a nurse. "What happened to me?" The man asked. "You fainted while taking a shower. The doctors still haven''t told me why. They want to run a few tests okay, honey. You''ll be fine." She smiled faintly and ran her hand through Cyrus''s hair. "Can you not do that?" The man grabbed her hand. He''d been in a world where killing others was as easy as breathing for him. How could he let someone pamper him like this, now? "Okay, okay.." Saira said with a mock sense of defeat. She just thought he was embarrassed. The door opened and a doctor stepped in. After checking his vitals and asking him a few questions the doctor left. The man ignored this body''s biological mother and closed his eyes. Hoping she would think that he was asleep and leave him alone for a while. An intense headache immediately assaulted him once again and he groaned. Saira hurriedly started shaking him: "Son...Son! What is it!?" He blacked out again. Dreams and Killing He reappeared in the array tomb. ''Another blackout¡'' ''Why is this happening¡?'' Although, he did have a few theories he needed QI in the Earth World to see what the problem was. The man summoned the control array. It was a neon blue array the size of his palm. He injected his divine sense into it and assessed the condition of the QI Forming Array. His frown deepened. Although he could easily fix the array, the problem was he didn''t have enough QI. There were only three thousand and twenty-six spirit stones left. If his real body was still alive then he could produce enough QI but right now he was only in his soul form and if he took out the QI from his soul form then he would disperse before the array was even fixed. ''Wait¡'' He did a full sweep of his soul form with his divine sense and a sense of dread hit him. His body was constantly losing QI and once his spectral form completely ran out of QI he would disperse. ''Wait, can''t I just absorb more QI?'' He ordered the array to bring him the leftover spirit stones. A red array appeared in front of him. A thin string of red QI was coiled around each of the spirit stones bounding them. A spirit stone floated in front of him. It rapidly dispersed into a bluish mist and the man tried to absorb it into his soul form but no matter what he did it wouldn''t integrate with his body. He could manipulate it easily but as soon as he tried to move it into his body it would just pass through it. ''The soul needs a body to exist. The body nourishes the soul and the soul nourishes the body¡ '' ''Do those earthlings have souls as well?'' Thinking along these lines could he absorb their souls and maintain his spectral form but¡how come he could he inhabit that Cyrus body. How did that work? He needed QI to find out. Could he take some QI form the array tomb and take it to Earth? ''But¡what if QI exists there and that body''s aptitude was too bad to even sense QI?'' This obviously made a lot more sense than QI not existing at all. He immediately summoned an absorption array and inspected it. Although he took it out of the QI Forming Array he could eventually make a new one as long as he could get some QI. But¡.how was he supposed to take it to Earth? May- The man opened his eyes again. He was back in the earthling''s biological body. This body''s biological mother was sitting beside him. This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. Saira heaved a sigh of relief as he woke up and asked him: "How are you?" "Fine." He replied curtly. "What happened to me?" "You blacked out again but don''t worry about it, alright," Saira said trying to reassure him. Cyrus''s father was sitting beside her, as well. "Okay, what did the doctor say?" He asked. "They said that they were going to run a few tests on you and see what the problem is." His father replied. "Okay, where''s J?" J was this body''s brother. "He just went to the washroom. He''ll be back in a few minutes." Saira replied. "I''m going to find a nurse, alright. Be back in a second." Stan said and headed out. Coincidentally, J was coming back from the washroom. He walked through the door and seeing that Cyrus was awake he smiled. "You''re finally awake, huh?" He asked jokingly. "Did you bring my phone?" J stopped and replied awkwardly: "Uh¡ I forgot about it but you can use my phone if you want to." The man took the phone from him and immediately started browsing the net. He was curious about this world''s weapons and technology. Stan brought the nurse back a few minutes later. She checked his vitals and after a few minutes, the doctor arrived as well. The doctor asked him how he was feeling and asked some general questions before leaving. Saira and J left after an hour or so much to the man''s relief. Although Saira was reluctant, Stan convinced her to go back home and grab a few hours of sleep. The man was browsing the net with fervent interest. Although he had obtained Cyrus''s memories he wasn''t much of a learner. An Hour Later The man was watching a documentary on nuclear weapons when he started feeling sleepy. He tried to keep his eyes open. He couldn''t sleep, not yet... but a few seconds later he was fast asleep. ¡ .. . "You mustn''t hesitate son¡" His father''s voice echoed in the back of his mind. "Yes, father." The man drew a sharp breath and plunged the dagger inside the boy. The soft flesh gave way as blood gushed out of the wound. The boy pleaded for mercy but the man wouldn''t have any of it. He had a duty. Who told him to betray the clan? He glanced back at the boy''s face and saw that it was J, his brother. He picked him up immediately as blood gurgled out of his mouth. "I''m sorry, I''m sorry, I''m so sorry¡" Cyrus started weeping as J struggled to breathe. Slowly, his body relaxed. He was dead. "No, no¡why? Why?" "Son?" Cyrus looked up and saw that it was his Dad. Why was his Dad here!? "It wasn''t me. I didn''t do it!!!" ¡ .. . He was running on top of the pagoda now. He activated his technique and he sped up drastically. The woman running in front of him stopped and turned around. A golden serpent emerged from the depths of her pupils and coiled around his neck. The man grunted and stabbed his dagger into the serpent but no matter how many times he stabbed the serpent it wouldn''t die! "HAHAHAHA!!!" The woman laughed vehemently. Rage boiled inside him as he stomped his foot and activated the formation. The shadow of a formation flashed under his feet and pure QI coursed through his body. He dropped the dagger and ripped apart the damn serpent barehanded. "What!?" The woman dressed in golden robes was astonished. How could he just rip the serpent just like that? It''d taken the blood and essence of three Hint Serpent Kings to create it, after all! "Hehehe¡" Now it was his turn to laugh. "You really thought I was so pathetic? The only reason I let you run around for such a long time was so that I could bring you here, cunt!" He activated the formation again and the golden robed woman fell on her knees. He grinned from ear to ear and ran up to her. As soon as he reached her h kicked her straight up in the face. Blood spurted out of her face as the man laughed: "HAHAHAHA!!!" After torturing and killing the woman he looked up and suddenly saw Saira. Deep pain and regret were written all over her face as she looked at him. ''What the fuck did I do?'' Cyrus, no, the man thought. ¡ .. . The Present He woke up with a start. Where the heck was he!? School and Soul After a few minutes, the man calmed down and regained his wits. He grabbed his forehead and thought: ''What the hell was that?'' ''Those dreams¡'' ''It''s this body. It''s messing with my own memories. Fuck!'' He figured that he didn''t have any problems like this in his previous life so; it must be the fault of this new body. Bodies weren''t like clothes. You wear this body at one moment and wear something completely different the next. Souls didn''t work like that. Not unless you wear a high-grade cultivator. ''How the fuck do I fix this!?'' ¡ .. . A Few Days Later: Cyrus was diagnosed with autism and discharged from the hospital. The doctor told the family that the disease was incurable but hardly life-threatening. He would suffer from occasional seizures due to the nerves in his brain being damaged. His family was disheartened to say the least. The man researched this disease for a while and realized that this body was completely unsuitable for him. Perhaps, it was because his soul was too strong for this Earthlings body. He needed to fix it, somehow. The family took Cyrus back home. Although, the man wanted to abandon this family as soon as possible and go his own way however, it wasn''t a viable option for now. Not until he had enough power and until he could access the Array Tomb without going into a seizure. He already had an idea on how to fix that he just needed some time to confirm his theory. Cyrus started going back to school. It was his third day going to school. It was Friday. J was walking beside him while Cyrus listened to an audiobook. It was about space travel and humanity''s limitations. How humanity could never leave their home galaxy The Milky Way. Cyrus looked up in wonder towards the skies. This world didn''t have planes they had planets and to think, there was so much unclaimed land up there. Unexploited resources and who knows there might even be life. The sunlight started to blind his eyesight and then Cyrus turned his eyes away from the sky. ''Curse this mortal shell!'' He''d been trying to bring some QI over but it was all hopeless. He couldn''t bring any physical or mystical objects over from the Array Tomb. He''d tried various techniques but most of the techniques he remembered were for combat and the rest were completely incompatible or just didn''t work because they concerned with arrays. He''d reached the school by now and frowned. He''d already read all of the textbooks on the first day and memorized them. There had been three tests since Monday but he aced all of them. In his eyes school was useless for him now. There wasn''t any more knowledge he could gain from here. This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there. What he needed right now was his power. Even a trickle of that QI and he could do wonders in this world. As soon as he stepped through the school gate he could see two paths. The one on the right was illuminated. The sunlight reflected along the surface of the lockers. The one on the left had a reddish hue with all the posters and the sunlight only enhanced that effect. "Alright, man see ya later." J went right, his locker was all the way down there and Cyrus took a left his locker was similarly all the way down there. ¡ .. . English Class (1st Period) Cyrus was sitting upright with his hand supporting his chin. He was trying to stay awake while the teacher droned on about Shakespeare and Macbeth. His phone had died out or he would be listening to that amazing audiobook. However, it seemed like he failed because the person sitting on his right was telling him to wake up. "Mr. Leeds, would you please continue from where Selena left off?" Cyrus was surprised as he looked around. All of them had Macbeth books except for him. When the hell did they get those books!? "I don''t have a book." Everybody burst out laughing except for the teacher. "Why don''t you have a book?" Mr.Jensen asked trying to restrain his anger. "I was absent on last Saturday." "These books were distributed yesterday." Mr. Jensen asked with a hint of annoyance. "Oh, okay. Can I have a book now?" There were more burst of giggles and laughter. Cyrus had left during the second half of this period yesterday because it was completely pointless and in the first half, he was listening to an audiobook about inter-dimensional travel. Mr. Jensen shook his head and told Cyrus to come grab a book which he did accompanied by even more laughter. "Alright, now can somebody tell Mr. Leeds where we left off?" The person sitting beside Cyrus was about to tell him but- Trrrrrrrrinnnnnngggggg The bell rang. "Alright, everybody don''t forget to fill out the graphic organizer and read the rest of the act!" Cyrus ignored him and took out his charger from the socket. He was about to walk out of the door but a headache hit him again out of nowhere. He groaned and fell down immediately and started shaking. He was having a seizure. ¡ .. . Array Tomb The man looked around and realized that he was back. He furrowed his brows and started floating up. The Array Tomb was similar to a building in design. It had eight floors in total. Each floor was responsible for a specific function in order to produce QI. The walls of the Array Tomb were responsible for one thing: holding down all of the array and formation during a spatial transfer. He couldn''t use the spatial transfer anymore since it was heavily damaged. As he floated up he suddenly stopped. The formation on this floating cube of moonlight essence was almost completely destroyed but the energy from the other arrays and formations had flowed in and stopped it from self-destructing. The entire tomb was capable of fixing itself. The problem was the fact that there wasn''t enough energy in the system. For example: If he took QI from one of the purification formations and tried to fix another formation the purification formation would be destroyed. ''What I need is people or beasts, maybe both.'' The array operated on sacrifices of people or beasts. ''The array is entirely capable of converting their bodies into QI it''s just how do I get the bodies here. The only thing that can go back and forth between Earth and this place is my soul.'' The man froze. What if he did that!? He decided to try it out. Suddenly, his face twisted and turned to form Cyrus''s face. He decided to take it a step further and changed his lower body into a Minotaur''s. He changed his skin color into golden. "Hahahahaha!" He burst out laughing and reformed into his normal form. He couldn''t take any arrays to Earth or bring them back but what if he transformed his soul into a formation! He could transfer literal bodies from Earth and nobody would notice! He would literally be invincible! He couldn''t help but burst out into laughter again: "HAHAHAHA!!!" His lover and his previous world hadn''t turned against him for no reason, after all.
