《Fire of a Dragons Heart》 Prologue - Futures End - 7th RP, 3175th Cycle TIC. Outskirts of Research Station Gamma129 - (Keltek) "Sergeant Pheonix, take your squad and move to the rear of the research facility using the left flank." Came the order from Captain Keltek as we prepare to assault the facility with our platoon. (Pheonix) "Roger that Cap. Peterson take point, the rest of you all fall into a tight skirmisher formation." I communicate through our internal communication systems. I get acknowledgmentsfrom the rest of the squad and we move out at a standard pace. We have to move with light steps but fast enough to reach the rear of the facility by the time the rest of the platoon reaches the front gates. The research facility went dark about three weeks ago and the Empire''s Marine Corps hasn''t been able to send a platoon out since the nearest one was two stars away. Once we arrived in system we received an automated message from the Facility''s Artifical Intelligence that informed us the Facility suffered a catastrophic failure causing the disappearanceof the personnel. There was no cause listed and the Captain was unable to actively communicate with anyone on the surface so we sent the Platoon down to ascertain the situation. ''Quite the beautiful planet they have here''The rising sun begins to shine through the green skies in odd shades of green and blue topping the tree-like objects made of stone and ice native to this planet. In the distance, you can see native lifeforms that can only be described as Yetis. ''I wonder how long this will take, I''ve got leave coming up and I got the boys to take me out for my birthday''.Just as I finish thinking about the wonderful times we''re gonna have and the massive amount of Cleansing Tonics I''m gonna need to drink to get rid of the hangover, we arrive at the rear of the facility. (Peterson) "Firebird, we''ve arrived at the objective area. Awaiting stacking by fireteams" Peterson our pointmancalls out to me over the comms using the nickname given to me from the boys after, well let''s call it liberal use of fire and... yeah I won''t lie, I was plastered and thought it''d be great to make homemade napalm and try to light things on fire with it. All I can say is it''s what Marines do so don''t blame me! (Pheonix) "Copy that Peterson, Squad split into fireteams and take up your assigned positions." (Pheonix) "Captain, First Squad in set and ready to move" I call through the Command Channel, where all Squad and Platoon leaders are able to call commands and discuss the plan. (Keltek) "Roger that Pheonix, everything''s on time so continue through. Your squad will take the buildings in quadrant four and we''ll rendezvous at the central Plaza at 0200 SPT*. Oh and try not to blow anythingup yet" ''Gee Cap, thanks so much for the vote of confidence, lucky I won''t tell the boys about your little alley rendezvouson Sigma Aeternus'' I can''t help but reply in my head to the Captain''s wonderful sarcastic comment he added at the end of the transmission. "Roger that Captain, see ya on the other side". I turn to myguys and begin issuing commands to have each Fireteam take two different buildings at the same time. I detail Alpha team to take one of the residential buildings whileBravo team and myself go to the larger research building in this quadrant of the base. Once Alpha team finishes their sweep of the residential building they''ll meet up with us in the research building. I raise up my rifle to the ready position, which will give me a clear line of sight while only sacrificing milliseconds worth of reaction time to get the rifle up to fire. We move to the building and we breach through the front door, most of this is done in silence as Marines in the Terran Empire rarely need to communicate with standard operations in small teams.Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. (Pheonix) "Peterson, Alvira you take the the third floor. Rogers and I will take the seco..." *BOOM, CLANK, HISSS, BOOOOM* (Pheonix) "What the fuck was that, anyone have eyes on?" (Rogers) "Negative boss, sounded like it came from somewhere below" (Alvira) "This place has a Gods Damned sub-level?" (Peterson) "It wasn''t on the schematics and last I checked the ground doesn''t spontaneously combust" (Pheonix) "Yeah no shit smartass, thanks for the precious intel. Alright let''s go, Alvira send out the nanobot swarm to search for any hidden passageways to get us down to where the commotion is coming from" (Alvira) "Got it Sergeant" Alvira activates a few controls on her holographic display covering her left forearm on her armor and releases a swarm of military-grade nanobots that specialize in mapping and anti-nanobot operations. After a quick five minutes that honestly felt like an eternity, Alvira''s bots make it back and upload their information into her system showing us the Sub-levels and the way to get to their entrance. Unfortunately, the bots can''t send imaging otherwise we would''ve been able to see what''s waiting for us down there, though we don''t expect much. Oh, how wrong we were...
(Rogers) "What. The. Fuck. is that thing?" After scouring almost the entirety of the sub-levels, we came across a lab walled off by floor to ceiling windows and a security door about ten times more secure and stable than any of the other doors we hacked on our way here. Everyone was staring, mouths agape, because what was on the otherside of the glass should not be possible. It almost looked like it was a black hole? No more like, a tear, a tear in the fabric of reality. No one in the history of the Empire has ever recorded something like this. It honestly shouldn''t be possible. Looking at it made you feel like you were going cross-eyed while tingling sensations as if your limbs were asleep move up and down your body with every beat of your heart. It was an odd feeling, to say the least. (Peterson) "Boss, I don''t like the feeling this thing gives me" (Pheonix) "Yeah me neither, alright let''s pack it up gents. We''ve secured the way down here and we can let damn science types handle this" The team acknowledges my command and we sping on our heels to move out. *BOOOOM BOOM BOOM*"Oh son of a... Everyone activate your shields!" I quickly drop my rifle to let it hang by the sling and reach over to activate my shields when *THUNK, SHUOOOM* A door that was blown off by the explosion comes streaming right for me. My thoughts before looking over to see my team being incinerated and the door smashing me in the face is ''At least we died together and died well..'' The force of the explosion and the door blast me through the almost foot thick glass and into the black void that was sitting inside the room that we were turning away from. My armor absorbs most of the impacts and allows me to be conscious when void sucks me up, stretching my body like its made of clay, tearing both muscle and bone before putting it back together and depositing me in a strange sort of space filled with vibrant colors of all types and shades."AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH GAHHHHH" is all that''s able to come out when my mind finally catches up to the pain before darkness takes me and I get the sweet relief from the pain invading my body. Chapter 1 - Start of Something New - Location: Quantum Rift, Time: Unkown - Darkness. I awake to find myself unable to see. I try to move my extremities to ensure I''m not missing anything and find that not only are they still there but so is the pain. Gritting my teeth and clenching my eyelids shut I begin to come out of my slight state of amnesia and I remember. I remember growing up on the Empire''s homeworld of Terrianna, an Earth-like planet that was settled a little over three-thousand years ago because our great species decided it would be a good idea to start another World War. This World War, however, managed to not only milk just about every usable resource out of the Planet but destroy it''s ecosystem as well. During the War a group of Scientists decided they weren''t about to sit back and allow all their work to go to waste so they built a ship, a ship so large it could almost be considered a small moon. This ship, named HSS Inmortalis, was a Seed ship sent to Terrianna in hopes of deployed a fully operational community of Humans that would be able to not only survive the War but learn and thrive from it. This community went on to found what is now known, three-thousand years later, as the Terriannan Empire. Spanning from each end of our Galactic arm and possessing thousands of planets, both habitable and not, the Empire serves one main purpose which is to research and develop the latest and greatest technology possible. There hasn''t been a full blown conflict within the Empire in about a thousand years because of this singular minded goal, that however isn''t always the case for the several species of non-humans that we have discovered. All these memories of the past flash by in an instant and all of a sudden I''m sitting in a very spartan looking medical facility. Glancing at the walls I notice a large emblem centered on the wall to my left. The emblem shows the Milky Way Galaxy with a lightning bolt and sword crossed behind it and holding on to the ends of both, above Milky Way, is a bright orange-red bird with it''s wings furled around the rest of the emblem. Known as a Flame Eagle, it''s the symbol of the Terriannan Imperial Marines who are an elite group of individuals broken down time and time again to form an almost perfect representation of discipline and brotherhood. However, as the Human Race is a social species we never truly remove that sense of individuality and as such the organization quickly became one of the most fearless and brutal, if not unique, fighting forces in the Empire. I turn away from the emblem and notice a person in a white lab coat, presumably a Doctor, walking up to me. He began speaking but I can''t hear him and things start to blur. Then I''m on a table and they''re injecting me with something, a grey-ish blue substance that feels like it''s devouring every cell in my body. I lay there, trying to scream and thrash because the pain is just to much but no sound comes out and I''m tied tightly to the table. The memory begins to blur again and now I''m sitting up in what sppears to be a hospital bed. The white labcoat person walks in and I can finally hear him talking. He tells me that the Fusion was a success and I''ll be able to join the rest of my Platoon within the next few days. That''s when he smiles and hands me a mirror so I can ''look at my new self'' as he says. I look into the mirror and see... Nothing. Suddenly the image in the mirror starts to blur beginning the shift as it takes over the room, then beyond almost as if someone decided to spin the whole world like a top. Then, just as quickly as it began, it stops and I''m suddenly brought back to reality by a sharp tug on the nape of my neck. - (???) POV - As I sit in my Garden, watching the little Mortals play on the planet below I fell an odd sensation that I''ve never felt before. Surprising considering I''m a Goddess and I should have felt every sensation possible in this Universe but no, not this one. This sensation feels...broken? It''s the most impossible thing to discribe I''ve ever known. As I think this though the feeling gets stronger and continues to do so until an odd sight occurs. Someone or something is breaking into MY domain! This is absolutely impossible, however, this feeling I''m getting isn''t one of danger but one of helplessness. I walk over to where the feeling is strongest and extend my right index finger with my Divine Powers. Using my index finger infused with the Divine, I vertically slash through the barrier coating my Domain and hiding it from the outside. What appears next looks like someone put a fist through a piece of paper, tearing open not only the barrier to my Domain but also the Universe! ''This, this is impossible! For someone to actually tear open a rift to another universe, just what are they thinking?!'' thinks the Goddess ''Well, I''ll just close it up and hope no one comes barging in demanding for answers for something I didn''t do.'' As the Goddess moves to close the rift from the bottom up, she see''s a slight glimmer within the rift. ''Is that a Human?! Well, at least I think it is as he appears to be wearing some from of armor that covers his whole body. Hmmmm... Well I do have that one thing to do, maybe I can use this being to help! HAHA Yes, alright lets bring them in.'' Realizing that I can use this being to complete a critical task that was assigned to me by that annoying Gods Council. I cover my right arm in Primordial Energy and reach inside the rift, causing it to shudder slighty. I watch as the being seems to be attracted towards my hand and I''m able to grab on to the nape of their neck. Once I grab on, the being begins to start wriggling and the universe trembles as I rip the being out of the rift and into my Garden watching as the tear slowly begins to fade and the barrier replaces itself. Taking a glance at the being I turn on my heels to walk away before my curiousity gets the better of me and with a wave of my hand I remove the beings, no, the Male Humans outfit. Unfortunately I got a little careless and accidently removed ALL of his clothing causing my cheeks to heat up and my eyes to widen as I stare at the best example of human perfection I''ve ever seen. The Male Human has fair white hair that reaches to just below his shoulder blades, a handsome looking, chisled face and a body that looks like one of my sisters tried to design the perfect human form and was successful. He had almost porcelain white skin and two spots of azure below each eye that tapers as it nears the length of his nose. Out of curiousity, I make my way over to the man to see if I can get a look at his eyes before he awakes. As I lower my self to my knees and begin to reach toward his face there''s a slight shifting just out of my view. I turn to look at where the shifting is taking place and notice the mans legs are slowly beginning to shift. Out of reflex I turn back to the mans face, only to see a pair of deep ocean blue eyes staring back at me with curiousity written in their depths. "Uhm, Hello Miss..." Chapter 2 - New Mission, New Life - Location: Goddess'' Domain - Arcilion (Arc) awakens to the sensation of grass underneath him. After about a moment he starts to go through the same process of making sure that everything works when he feels a hand caress his face. It''s not a bad feeling though as the hand is warm but firm and definitely feminine in nature. He can feel the strength in the hand as it moves up to his faceand stops once it reaches the stripes on his cheek. Apparently whoever this is hasn''t noticed that he''s been moving my limbs around slowly until now. Curious as to who or what this thing is, he opens his eyes to take a look. ''Well, this is a bit unexpected. Did I die? Is this what all those people were talking about when they were describing angels?'' Seeing the woman in front ofhim with her flowing golden hair, ample features, and smooth skin. ''This woman has to be the most beautiful person I''ve ever seen in my life. In fact, she''s fucking glowing! Holy shit, there''s no way. Either someone went ''creeper at the bar'' on me and drugged me or I''m hallucinating. Shit, she''s turning back, looks like I''ll get my answer soon enough...'' The woman turns her head backto his face and their eyes meet. For a second it''s like time stops and everything except for this woman''s golden eyes, which seems to encompass the entirety of the universe within, seemingly disappeared. Losing themselves in each other''s gazes for a split second, he decides to be the one to break the silence. "Uhm, Hello Miss" "Ah. Uh. Hello, Human. Welcome to my Domain!" Says the smiling angel of a woman. The angel woman gets up and spreads her arms out wide giving him a dazzling smile. Then she seems to glance to her left towards his waist and he can see a faint tinge of pink on her cheeks before she spins around. She waves her hand and white robes appear next to him. "Ahem, you uh may want to put these on. You know, just in case it gets breezy" Comes the melodic voice as the woman walks toward a table prepared with tea. Curious, he glances down and notices that he''s completely naked. Yup, naked. ''Here I am staring into some random woman''s eyes while she sits over me and I''m completely in the nude!'' He can feel his face start to burn with the beginnings of a blush and he quickly makes to cover hisdelicate areas. He stands and grabs the robes before spinning around and throw the robes on so fast, it''d make a bullet look slow. ''I''m no stranger to women or all the things that come along with it, especially after my fusion. However, waking up to having one of the most beautiful women in the world hanging over you, while your naked and have no idea who she is, can be an extremely embarrassing moment. Don''t judge me for something no one else has probably experienced!'' "Oh, y-yes thank you, Miss" He replies as he quickly dons his new attire. "I apologize but I don''t believe I caught your name?" "Oh yes, I am known as Malyazarina to the mortals of this world." the woman replies, finally realizing that she wasn''t speaking to someone who was a part of her universe. She seems to fall into her own thoughts for a moment before standing and making her way over to Arcilion. "I''m also known as the Divine Dragon here, a Goddess amongst those who would call themselves Dragon-kind. Now, step over here so I may give you the most pertinent information regarding our world." Arcilion is taken aback by the woman''s words for a moment but realizing that he really didn''t feel like arguing with a dragon, if she was to be believed, quickly steps over to...Malyazarina, we''ll call her Malya for now. Lowering his head to allow her to place her fore and middle fingers on his forehead, he begins to feel a sudden warm sensation working it''s way around his skull. This turns out to be the calm before the storm though because just as quick as the sensation started, it ended, being quickly followed up by what felt like a lightning strike to the face. Arcilion clenched his jaw as he landed on his rear and waited for the pain and fuzziness within his head to go away. After about five minutes of waiting, Arcilion opens his eyes and takes another look around. There had a strange feeling when he was first dragged through the portal, one that reminded oneself that they don''t belong where they are, similar to when you walk through enemy territory. Arcilion was never a stranger to such a feeling as during his small amount of time living as a Marine, he was constantly in enemy territory. However, now that that the powerful, hungry looking Dragon-lady had touched his head, or more like his soul, he felt safer and more in control. He honestly felt as if he were home. Pushing aside those feelings aside for now he quickly began to skim through the rest of the information given to him by Malya when something interesting happened.

''Hmm interesting, apparently Blue Boxes are a thing here. Well, at least it''s not much different than wearing my armor all the time and keeping my AI on'' Thought Arcilion as he finished sorting through all of the info given to him and waved the notification away. Bringing his gaze back into focus, Arc looks over to Malya who''s just sitting at a table drinking tea.Reading on Amazon or a pirate site? This novel is from Royal Road. "Well, you should have gotten a system message, no?" Arc nodded and started to get up from where he passed out. "Yes Ma''am, I got a big ''ol blue screen that''s telling me you brought me here and gave me some of the needed knowledge to live here." Arc says while walking over to the table she''s sitting at. "Do you mind if I take a seat?" She made a gesture to signal that it was okay for me to take a seat and I did. Picking up my own refreshments that were laid out I look to her and wait for her to continue. "Right, so I pulled you out of the Rift that is formed between Universe''s, though I''m not entirely sure how you managed to find one in your Universe. Anyway, now that you''re here I guess I can explain a few things and then I have a request of you." I nodded and she looked at me as if pondering something for a moment before continuing. "Good, now, while you could figure all of this out by going through everything I put into your head, I''ll make it easy and save us all a little time. As you already know, I''m known as the Divine Dragon, I''m the most powerful being in the world and second only to those beings known as ''Gods'' here. Though I know quite a few of them, the difference between them and myself is that I can toil with Mortal affairs all I want because, while I''m technically immortal, I''m still mortal on a fundamental level. Don''t ask how it works, just know that it does. Anyway, the world we preside over is known as Andaria. Andaria has one major continent known as Velu, this is surrounded by many small landmasses that aren''t really important right now so you can figure those out later. The world is governed by something we call the ''System'' though many on the planet just refer to it as the ''Maker'' or the ''Watcher''. The systemcontrols peoples growth as well as their class, caste, and profession. It also divides the people''s growth into different sections shown as Power, Endurance, Vitality, Agility, Intelligence, Charisma and of course Luck, though Luck doesn''t really affect things all too much. All of the previously mentioned attributes can be grown by increasing something known as your ''Level'' or by repeating the same action and improving your performance by doing things like exercising or other strenuous activities. The rest of the pertinent information will be provided to you when you can access it via the system. Any questions so far?" She looks at me and I give her a quick nod before thinking for a moment. "From what I understand, this world sounds quite familiar to the game worlds created for entertainment in my Universe. Since you''ve scanned through my memories and I know I have a ton on that subject, can I assume that''s correct?" Nodding in response to my question she continues "Yes, it''s actually kind of disconcerting how similar it is and I''ll definitely have to think on the possibilities this provides for at least the next thousand years. Now, before you ask, yes there are many different races in this world. The ''Gods'' and System decided a long time ago that having only one race on a world this large is simply boring so they planted the seed of many throughout the lands. You can expect the races you''re thinking of such as Beast-kin, Humans, Elves of all variety, Demons, Fairies, Sprites, etc. There are at least a hundred different species and sub-species and some of them haven''t even been discovered yet. The most important one to you though is the Dragon race. Unfortunately, all of our kind were all but driven to extinction by an Ancient race that attempted to take over the planet millennia ago. In fact, most if not all races love and worship Dragons as their saviors. Haha. Even I''m worshipped like a God down there which infuriates some of the true ''Gods'' above." Arc looks at her for a moment before narrowing his eyes and asking "You said Dragons are the most important race for me to know about, why is that?" "Ah. That''s part of the request I have for you actually" Malya pauses a moment while taking a sip of tea. "I want to make you a Dragon." Nearly spitting out my own sip of teat I stare at her, incredulous. "Now, now, don''t look at me like that. I think you''ll actually enjoy it. Plus, becoming one and fulfilling this selfish request of mine will give you the opportunity to explore and live in a world entirely different than what you''ve known. So, what say you?" I stare for a moment while thinking to myself ''While this is entirely too much for me to go over right now, I have a strange feeling that she isn''t lying to me. It feels like whatever she wants from me is extremely important, at least to her it is. I''m also stuck in this world, or Universe rather, so I might as well make the best of it right? Fuck it, this shit''s so different to me that I can''t even begin to reason with it. I mean she did say this is literally a fantasy world, something I''ve wanted to see since first setting out amongst the stars and it''s not like I actually have to get involved with drama between people. Yeah, the year 3000 and people still create drama like it''s High School. Pfft. Alright, let''s just do it.'' I look her in the eyes with cold determination and reply "Very well Ma''am, I''ll accept the transformation and the request of your without complaint." She eyed me with a raised eyebrow for a minute before asking "Oh? So quick to decide and you haven''t even heard the details of the agreement. To say nothing of losing your humanity." Nodding back I reply simply "That''s correct Ma''am, I am...was I guess a Marine, we go through life-threatening missions all the time without question and only half of that time do we actually know who''s giving the order aside from our section commander. As for my Humanity, well, I gave that up a long time ago in order to become the best warrior I can be." "Very well" Malya says before pulling out a crystal of some type and smiling "This here is the only known Transformation crystal to exist in the world. Once you swallow this it will begin to adjust your body to that of a Dragon. However, unlike most Dragons, your true body will be that of a Humanoid form. Though not a full human, you will be able to hide your non-human features as you go and will have access to it whenever you may need it. In addition, you will be also be known as a Divine Dragon like me but with the addition of the Guardian title showing that you will be much more active within the Mortal world and the defense of it should the need arise. This is also part of the request, you will, when called by me, immediately set forth and either defend this world from outside attackers or those who would seek to destabilize the world as a whole from the inside. However, when not on these ''Divine Quests'' you are allowed to interact with the Mortals however you wish. Please take note that you will be significantly more powerful than anyone down there and may be requested to do things by the mortals. You are allowed to complete these tasks for whatever reward they may want to give so long as it does not destabilize the world. Essentially just live however you want but do not forget that you are first and foremost a Divine Dragon Guardian, a Soldier for the World and the Hope of all should enemies attack. Understood?" Something in her tone makes something snap within me and I immediately stand up at attention and reply "Ma''am, yes, Ma''am!" She looks at me with a bemused smile on her face before handing me the crystal. I take the crystal and toss it down my mouth without even thinking. I can feel the pain beginning to course through me before I fall back into the chair I was sitting in and close my eyes before clenching my fist around the arms of the chair. Just before losingconsciousness I can here the Divine Dragons final parting words. "Oh and I''ll have you equipped in your armor and weapons before you get down there. Contact me at the nearest shrine if you need me! Good Luck my Guardian." With that I was welcomed into the cold embrace of darkness. Chapter 3 - New World, New Discoveries - Location: Plains, Northeast Velu, Human Kingdom of Tria - Under the Twin Moons, in the Meli Plains, not a sound can be heard aside from the creatures of the night. The hoots of an Owl and the chirps of crickets span the vast grassy expanse. This peaceful night is one where all who witness it would last for all the days. That is until a certain Divine Guardian decided to ruin the picturesque moment bychoosing to descend at that moment. ************************** In the distance, about 40km from the DescendingDragon in a small Palace to the North, a beautiful young woman with silky violet hair and eyes the color of the sunset is sitting on her balcony with another, older but not any less beautiful woman. These two women are watching the beautiful night starscape while the older one brushed the youngers hair. "Mom, I don''t want to marry some disgusting Prince" "Sweetheart, you know it doesn''t matter. For one, we need this marriage to secure the alliance between our kingdom and theirs. You''re a Princess, my love, it''s kind of in the job description." "I know but what about love? What about being with someone I want to be with?!" "Honey look, I''ll tell you what, if you can find someone with more influence than a PRINCE and you fall in love then yo-" While trying to get her daughter to understand her part of the bigger picture, the woman is interrupted by a bright blue flash to the south. The flash subsided but was replaced by a bright blue pillar of light topped by a dragon with its maw agape and its wings flared as it let out a mana infused roar. Confused, the mother and daughter both stare in shock as the event unfolded. Both women immediately stood up and ran to the Throne Room where the King was holding a late night session of court. The two burst through the doors just in time to see a messenger burst through the opposite doors. The messenger looked haggard and covered in sweat. In between gasps for air to fill his uncooperativelungs, the messenger relayed his message. "Your Majesty! A message from the Mage''s Association. They say the strange phenomena was called Heaven''s Descent!" "Boy, relax. Take some time to catch your breathe and explain it to me plainly" "Y-Yes your majesty...The Mage''s have discovered that the event to the South is known as Heaven''sDescent. This hasn''t occurredin over fifty thousand years and only happens when a Divine Being comes down onto our plane of existence." The King, Queen, and Princess all look at the man, trying to get over the news they just heard. If there was a Divine Being in the land then that could mean several things. Some good and some bad, only a few time will be able to tell. Hopefully though, whoever it is, will give them the opportunityto show which it is. In the meantime, the King decided to give the Being a little help and hope and prayedthat they''d be someone worth meeting. "Very well, may it be known that we will try to meet this Being if they deem us worthy of a visit. Guard!" A Royal Guardsman rushed to his lieges side and eagerly awaited his order. "Yes, your Majesty!" "Send word to light the Beacons of Hope, let''s see if we can have ourselves a Divine Visitor" The Guard rushed off to their orders while the Royal family and court turn back to their session and continue with their discussion on how to save their Kingdom. ************************** Arcilion woke to being surrounded completely in blue light while suspended in the air. Trying his best not to freak out about the whole, surrounded in light and floating two-hundred feet in the air, he began to take account of his surroundings. He was landing in a plain with flatland with no slopes. It was night, and there didn''t seem to be any other humanoids around. He descended at a controlled rate with his arms spread. After about five minutes of controlled falling, he finally lands in the plain. Gathering his wits quickly, he checks his equipment and notices himself garbed in bright white armor resembling the kind he wore back in the Marines except this felt a little heavier and a bit like form-fitting flexible metal instead of the nano-fiber one he used to wear. His armor was trimmed with azure coloring around the shoulders, leading down through the center of the chest piece. On the left chest piece he had a shield being held by an azure dragon with its maw open and wings unfurled, not unlike the one holding the pillar of light. He takes a quick look around him to see if he was left with anything other than just his armor but doesn''t see anything else. A thought pops into his head and he remembers being told this was was a Fantasy-style game world where everything was essentially the same as Role-Playing Games from his previous life were. With this in mind he tries to go through several commands that used to work, however only one of them works and what he gets from it only serves to prove that everything so far really hasn''t been a dream. As expected, all of the extra skills related to Magic, Weapons, and the different trades have all been combined into one for each. Thank Go..No wait, thank me for that? I don''t know, what I do know is that I don''t have to waste my time looking through a million different skills to find what I want. Woo! Let''s take a look at some of these abilities though.''

''Oho nice, so pretty much an armor that will make this place pretty much boring and without challenge if I continue wearing it. Guess I''ll have to find something to replace it and only use this during my official duties, though it does look amazing. Let''s keep looking though.''

''My word these abilities are amazing. I can''t wait to actually start using these. I''ll have to find a secluded place so I can start playing around. First, though, I''ll need to find some civilization so I can let the nearest Kingdom know I''m around and to get them to spread the word.'' Willing his armor off of him, Arcilion notices light blue markings all around his body. These tattoos must be the medium that the Rift Storage ability was talking about. Thinking this, he concentrates on the marking and finds himself in a vast area not unlike where he is now. In it, he finds a large building similar to a building in the ancient eastern area of Terra. Within, the building was separated into a multitude of areas, one for Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Armory, and a Wardrobe. Walking through the vast rows of Sakura trees leading to the entrance, Arc couldn''t help but admire the beauty of the whole area. This wasn''t anything like the rift he was stuck in when he was between Universes. Walking into the building, he made his way over to the area marked ''Armory'' to grab himself a good set of armor to swap out with his Soul Armor. Looking through, he found himself standing in front of a set of armor that''s almost identical to his soul armor. In fact, if one didn''t know any better, they''d assume he never switched out of his armor. With that, he decided on that armor as it fit his tastes at this moment. Whilst here, he also decided he''d grab himself a weapon he could use. Walking to the weapons section, he can''t help but stare with his mouth agape. Never before has he seen such an amazing collection of weaponry in his life. To his left were rows and rows of all types of bladed weapons ranging from regular swords to daggers, on the right was all different versions of polearms from spears to naginatas. Towards the back of course was the ranged weapons. Thinking for a moment, he walks over to the right and after a few moments, grabs a white steel spear about 2 meters in length, the tip is about 6 inches long and made out of Orichalcum. Walking to the left side of the Armory, he grabs a small foot long white steel dagger and straps it to the small of his back which will allow him to access it quickly if needed. With this, Arc is finally all set and decides it''s time to get a move on so he removes himself from his rift storage. Standing in the plain again, Arc takes a look around to see if he can get a good read on his location and the basic cardinal directions. While he''s scanning the horizon he notices the sky is quite a bit brighter to the North and decides to head that way since light usually means civilization. Arc manifests his wings from his back, which come out as azure tipped white feathers along a bat-like wing. From the description, one would think that these would be the ugliest wings you''ve ever seen but in reality, it''s incredibly different. With a wingspan of 10 meters while in a stage 2 transformation, the wings make him look exactly like how he is, Majestic and God-like. Bending at the knees, he quickly pushes up with about a quarter of his power and with a single flap of his wings, he finds himself about a mile into the air. Quickly orienting to the North, he leans forward, catches a wind current and soon finds himself on his way. 4 Hours Later After a short while in the air Arc feels something disturb his Mana Sense, which is part of his Magic Mastery Skill, and takes a moment to determine it''s direction. ''Hmmm, it sounds like someone''s having a clash with someone else. Well, I guess I should take a look anyway, it might be fun!'' A small grin appears on Arc''s face as he thinks this. It''s been a long time since he''s been in a fight and his Marine nature is coming into play making him vye for the life and death struggle. About two minutes later, he arrives over the scene of battle. It''s a pretty gruesome sight. Blood seeps into the soil by the gallons only to be broken up by the occasional body part laying across an area no bigger than a hundred meters in diameter. Scanning through the carnage, he realizes that this must have been a caravan heading towards whatever city is in the North. He notices a small group of people in plate-mail armor surrounding one carriage in particular. They''re fighting off a small horde of about 20 or so giant green-skinnedbeings. He uses his Gods Eye ability on one of each of them to quickly view their basic stats to verify his thoughts.

''Hm, well looks like it''s about average but there are only about 5 of those guards left so numbers aren''t on their side. Guess I''ll stop in and say hello. Who knows, maybe they''ll even give me a lift to wherever their going.'' With that, Arc gives another flap of his wings and soars another mile into the sky and readies his spear to deliver death to all who stand in his way below.
