《Aspect of the Forsaken》
Prologue
The taste of blood and a bloodied vision were the only things I could register as I laid on the ground. A warning indicator was flashing in my face due to how low my hp got and how it continued to drop ensuring my demise.
''''Log Out''''......''''Error.Error.Due to restricted zone and event Log-out function has been disabled''''........''''What the fu..'''' *cough* *cough* I cant even complete my own sentence in my head without being interrupted by my dying avatar. And why the hell is the pain so realistic. How did a simple quest turn out like this.....
Memories flashed before me as I lay knowing my life is coming to an end.Fear sinking in, wondering to myself. Am I really dying? Wait......It cant be.....Its just a game...How?....As my visioned slowIy caved in on me, Injuries told me that I am missing a leg, my

I coughed up blood only to struggle more as I was drowning in my own blood. Just how bad was my shitty luck.....
And here we are....Why could it not have been a swift death, why did I have to wake up and experience more agony...
just why me....were what I thought as my left hand became cold and my vision went to red.I heard a voice, the voice I heard was not peaceful nor terrifying. It sounded very sinister. I could hardly hear and see who/what it was but he was dressed elegantly in what seemed to be a suit and a mask had covered his face only leaving out a portion for his mouth. As I blinked he appeared right before me staring at me from behind the mask inches away from my face and he spoke with a grin so wide saying ''''Would you like to make a deal?''''.
EP 1: Virtualization
NewOrder. The ground breaking game that took the whole world by surprise when Dr.Antony Miller and his partner Dr.Anza Nomura completed the Virtual reality MMORPG along with the machine that runs the game, VirtualStation.
''''It is not just a game.......It''s an entire new world.New beginnings, A new life, A fresh start.''''
*Bzzzzt* turning off the TV. ''''A new life huh....I guess I really need to get my hands on one of those virtual stations'''' Abel thought to himself as he brushed his partially teary eyes.
Life has been really hard for Abel growing up after the sudden loss of parents at the young age of 6.Shock from his parents sudden death caused him to become very lost in the present world which resulted in many parents looking to adopt to look past him. From orphanage to orphanage, Abel was moved around preventing him from truly being able to grieve andhis destroyed emotions and lifeless eyes kept him from establishing friendships with the other kids his age. He was alone and he needed to survive even though he was a wreck. He started working at a very young age to help him past time quicker and he got his work through underhand methods. This often led to him being underpaid or never paid at all.Despite the shitty acts some of his previous employers had, he cound''nt complain as it was illegal to hire minors but he really needed the money to finally leave the orphanage and have a place of his own and for him to at least afford going to school.
''''Thats all the furniture left, now could you please sign over here Mr.Valentine''''...''''Not the biggest looking house but its my its my house and its perfect.Mom,Dad. It has been difficult but I am not going to give up.'''' Abel said to himself with a smile whilst thinking of the hardwork he put himself through to secure his home. The long hours he spent day to day working and studying. Being alone without anyone around to help shoulder the sadness and hardship he carried. He finally got his first step of living again.''''Alright, one last errand for today and It''s time to start unpacking''''
Whispers travelled around the halls, sharp stares and judging eyes. As a tall young looking man with hair dyed jet black which absorbed the light and deep ocean blue eyes walked through the hallway in a college. The once shy, small looking little boy had grown up to be a fine man. His work that he did growing up from labour to semi-construction had shaped him nicely across the shoulders, defined his arms and gave him a nice pair of glutes.
''''Right this way Mr.Valentine, the Principal''s office is straight ahead''''. said a well dressed lady who guided Abel through the school. ''''Thank you very much ma''am for the help''''. Abel proceeded to the office to greet the head of the new school he will be enrolling in. ''''What a pleasure to have you over at our school! Acing the exams and getting recommendations, you are indeed worth the scholarship for the A.I programme that the school has to offer''''. ''''Thank you very much sir for this opportunity and I will make sure that it does not go to waste.'''' ......This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author''s consent. ''''Well he sure had alot to say sheesh....but it did feel sorta nice to be welcomed.'''' ''''Now then...its 2pm and I have 4months till school starts for me...its definitely time..''''
Abel arrived at one of the NewOrder corporations that sells and distributes virtual stations. Hesitating as to whether or not he should buy the machine. It would definitely hurt his wallet but he saved up more than enough to last him for a good period of time. But after much deliberation, he convinced himself to get one as he deserves a break. He deserves alittle happiness one that was robbed of him. He does not have any friends due to him recently moving to his new area nor any family that he was aware of. Passing time would be hell for someone who has been alone his entire life and with no work and no other materials for his college, that would just be endless boredom.
After getting his Machine he had a big smile yet a painful one as first it dented his wallet as expected however he will receive his machine within the day itself and that meant he could play NewOrder right away. Not long after arriving home, Abel took out the groceries he picked up on the way and started preparing food to eat. ''''Spaghetti. That would do just nicely''''.
Slurping his pasta while browsing online, reading posts and guides regarding NewOrder and getting some basic knowledge of game before his machine arrived. What he had gathered so far is that NewOrder adapted to the player''s actions and choices. Meaning other than the basic get-to-know quests and specific job quest, every quest for everyone differs either slightly or completely different from one another. Character classes are also broken down into jobs where the commons can be picked up from any adventure guild within the town. These classes are what would be commonly known as ''''Swordsman,Archer,Mage,Thief'''' etc. There are unique job as well, only to be obtained by certain means, secret quests, race specific, handed-down. Not much is known about unique jobs due to the very simple reason that they are unique. The one difference between common classes and unique classes are that common classes would have an easier time due to the game giving subtle guidance and assistance from the specific job guild that they acquire their job from. Whereas unique classes are simply unknown.
''''Hmmm well then, I guess I need to pick a class that would be party friendly and something that works well with solo play since I dont have any friends to start off with.'''' *RIINNNGGG* *RINNNGGG* the loud phone call interrupted Abel''s thought process and caused him to jump. ''''Hello there, I am calling regarding the delivery of your VirtualStation machine. We are right outside your doorstep and ready to install.''''
Half an hour felt tremendously long for Abel as he was very eager to boot up his machine and start playing NewOrder.''''All done, please feel free to boot up your machine. Should you encounter any malfunctions or trouble, please contact our 24 hour hotline and service will be immediately provided. Now could I get you to sign these forms?'''' said one of the installers. After a quick exchange of formalities and some instructions on how to operate the machine, signing the documents of acknowledgement was the last step and the house went back to being quiet once again. With a cheeky smile and eagerness in his eyes, Abel dashed in the shower and attended to any toiletry matters he needed and was finally ready to dive into NewOrder. He got into his machine and made himself comfortable in what seemingly looked like a futuristic tanning bed and said the words...''''Virtualization Begin''''
Ep 2: Glitch
''''Virtualization Begin''''
Upon saying those words, spiraling lights flooded towards Abel''s eyes. What felt like miniscule zaps travelled along his skin, in his flesh and within his body. Sensations of an out of body experience could be described for the feeling he felt which all ended as soon as Abel blinked. He found himself no longer laying comfortably in his virtual machine nor within his own home, he stood within a space that was empty. ''''Welcome to NewOrder Adventurerer. Do you seek power? wealth? knowledge? friendship? chaos? your true desire is your own adventure!'''' as the voice echoed in the room, Abel listened in awe due to how real everything around him felt. ''''Dea...H%"¡ê!^*^''................Would you like to begin character customization?'''' what the hell was that about Abel questioned. The distorted voice of the A.I threw him off for abit but he brushed it aside thinking due to the fact that he had just set up his virtual machine therefore it probably was just a minor glitch.
''''Yes''''. A series of pop-ups similar to that of a touchpad appeared before Abel and in front of him was his very Avatar being shaped into the character her desired. Selecting randomize made Abel giggle slightly due to how messed up the avatar turned out during certain randomizations. After customizing his full appearance and selecting his race all that was left was his username.'''' Not looking too bad. As much as I wanted to play as an Ogre race due to its high base stats, starting off as a goblin is a big no. I have read too many comics to know the outcome of my character. wouldnt wanna meet a particular slayer''''. Laughed Abel to himself. He decided to play as a Dark Elf even though it was weaker compared to an Ogre, the Dark Elf race had race specific passives which greatly enhanced stealth and ranged weapon usage which he thought would go hand in hand with his solo play and party match ups every now and then. '''' Now then, I''d go with.....BlackOut....Darkness88........KillerHunter......was creating a username always this hard??'''' After enough thoughts on a decent username without sounding over the top corny or cliche Abel decided on one he thought suited his character. ''''LoneWolf''''. ''''Are you ready to proceed with your chosen avatar?'''' questioned the semi-robotic voice asked. ''''Yes! lets go!''''.
The room lit up and the following announcement followed. ''''Due to error, character creation failed. re-staging the process. Process completed. Begin Avatar assimilation. Character fully assimilated. Avatar creation begin....'''' Abel could not move nor really react and before he knew it, he felt a nice soft breeze on his face. He was standing in an open surrounding surrounded by trees and up ahead, a town could be seen. The warmth of the sun kissed the back of his neck, the texture of land his in game shoes felt, the sticky sensation of humidity being cooled by the breeze. Licking his dry lips, ''''Wow...I knew virtual reality was realistic to a certain extent but this is just incredible.'''' Noticing his HUD (Heads up display) ,Abel said out loud ''''Aww what the hell.'''' His inspections had led him to realize that his avatar looks exactly like the real him and his username was AbelValentine. ''''So much for the time spent on customizing my character..ugh..furthermore my race is human. The most cliche of the classes.'''' Abel grumbled and was hesitating whether to log out and redo his character after contacting customer support regarding the glitches and bugs he encountered. But playing the game was more important and Abel wanted every minute to count.

''''Well that aint much to look at, and all these question marks are probably hidden stats that I will unlock?'''' He blankly stared trying to piece together the information displayed before him. However what truly got him puzzled was the (?) beside his race and the trait stating it is incomplete. From what he had gathered online prior to him playing the game is that traits are normally present imediately upon character creation due to the A.I taking into account the player''s selected race, Real life talents, actions, speech during the creation process.Advance traits are of course unlocked with selected Jobs that the player decides to specialize in. Abel was confused but due to the game adapting and being different for every user, he just assumed his would eventually pop up once he started getting in his beginner quests.

Abel cracked his neck and did a quick stretch and once done, proceeded towards the town Braton. Despite having a couple of minutes to adapt to the virtual environment and feelings, the realism continued to captivate Abel. On the pathway towards Braton, Abel noticed a sudden distortion on the corner of his eyes. Quickly glancing at what he noticed, nothing seemed to have been amiss and all was the same. Abel decided to go off path for abit to inspect his sighting to convince himself that it was probably just him getting too engrossed in the game resulting in him seeing things. After alittle searching around, Abel came across a peculiar looking engraving on the tree around the area where he thought he saw the distortion. He walked towards it and curiosity led to him subconsciously touching it.
A sudden pattern appeared on the ground below Abel followed by a prompt stating * - Teleportation Engraving has been activated - '''' Abel could not move away from the pattern which locked him in place, a bright light shined below him and and engulfed him. Seconds passed and Abel shook his head to straighten himself out from the disorientated effects of being teleported for the first time.
*Sllhhkk*
*What..*
|
You have been poisoned.
You have been afflicted with bleed.

Abel looked down at his stomach area and saw that he had an arrowhead sticking out of his gut. He shivered and fell on his knees. Abel threw up empty bile mixed with blood from the shock and pain he felt as the realization sinked further in that he had been wounded by an arrow. He looked around with desparate eyes and crawled towards the deadened trees. ''''Fuck. This hurts so bad. *cough* *cough*. I get the realism, but is it suppose to be this instense.'''' Abel grit his teeth while his eyes wondered his surroundings. '''' I need to get out of here. Worst comes to worst, I''ll just log-out''''

*It''s just a game, It''s just a game.'''' Abel felt his wound burn from the pain and the poison made him weak and lethargic.Urges to puke came once again and Abel felt life slowly drain from him. ''''Fuck this, I''ll just log-out and check how to reduce the sensitivity of the pain receptors.'''' *Log Out*........

''''AAAURRGHHH''''
An arrow struck Abel from the side of his calf causing him to shout and twitch in pain. Abel was pale and scared, fear crept in him, slowly consuming him. But desperation caused honed senses due to adrenaline coursing through his blood. Not too far from where he took cover at was a cave that looked to be an abandoned mine. He had no time for second guessing his decisions and slight cover from the openness of the dead forest he layed in was better than being a target of enemies he could not see. He looked around and with all his strength he forced a disabled run towards the cave entrance.
*Thud* Abel fell short of his attempt, falling flat on the ground. Inches away from the entrance of the cave. An arrow on his shoulder had stopped him on his tracks. His consciousness fading, he heard footsteps approaching him.
Ep 3: Encounter (Pt1)
Abel slowly opened his eyes, disorientation was present along with pain that surged through his body. With the realization of his consciousness coming back, he quickly sat up and got into a defensive state surveying his surroundings looking for the nearest location to take cover from whatever tried to kill him. Running on fear and andrenaline Abel''s concentration emitted strong emotions of survival only to have it broken by a sudden call that came from his side.
''''WOoaahh, hey now. You''re fine...take it easy.'''' said a very calm voice. ''''My name is Reynald. My party members and I were the ones who found you passed out after hearing a scream in pain.'''' Abel felt some tension release from his guard however he still kept it up. For all he knew was that Reynald and the people who stood by his side could have been the one''s who tried to kill him. Though Abel quickly dismissed the thought as if they wanted him dead, they had all the opportunities to do so. '''' My name is Abel and thanks for patching me up. Where is this place? and what were those things that attacked me?'''' Abel questioned trying to piece together the events that occured while trying not to pass out from the pain his sudden movement had caused him.
''''We arent exactly sure either. But we are in the process of figuring that out. But based on experience and information from the net, it seems like we are in a Abyss Domain.'''' Said a grizzly muscular looking man who had two hammers hanging from his waist. ''''The name''s Flint, Now....What exactly is a newbie like you doing in such an area?'''' Flint questioned raising a suspicious eyebrow. ''''Its a long story I guess'''' said Abel ''''But I..'''' before he could continue, his sentence was interrupted by another of Reynald''s party members. ''''Enough with the useless banter. I just want to get out of this shit hole and get my rewards. We wasted enough time already saving the useless bastard. He would have revived in the nearby town anyway.'''' scowled a slim tall man who gave off a menacing aura and stared at Abel. If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
''''We cant exactly leave this place due to the quest our party is doing, so how about you tag along with us first Abel. Once were done, we could take you back to the town and you could tell us how you ended up here.'''' Reynald said ignoring what Zid his party member said. Brushing off his indirected threat, Abel simply nodded and agreed to follow... He had questions to ask. Regarding the realistic pain, the feeling of dying, the weird markings...but he kept those on pause and followed Reynald and his party to finish their quest.....noticing a glance from his side, he turned and saw a beautiful elf girl who gave him a sweet smile and turned back to face the direction she and the rest were heading at....
