《The Dungeon Of Chaos and Impossibility》 Prologue A vast temple made of marble and gold, a thing of immense beauty sits alone in the cosmos. Surround by nothing, blank space, almost as if it were in another dimension of of sorts. Inside the building, magnificent sculptures of various people, tens of meters high, sit in a chamber, surrounding it. The room is massive, taller than the tallest skyscrapers and wider than most cities. In the center sits an empty throne and at the base an occupied ornate table, made of only the most expensive wood and decorated with various jewels. At the table are several beings, several are humanoid while others seemingly less so. One of the beings begins breaking the calm silence. ¡°Why have you brought us here?¡±[God 1] But a moment goes by and another being speaks out. ¡°I''m sure you¡¯ve noticed that mana is running out, several worlds are running out of mana or completely lack it.¡±[God 2] A hushed mumbling goes through the group until everyone stops talking. A quiet almost timid voice speaks up breaking the silence, ¡°What do you think we should do?¡±[God 3] ¡°Hmm, Amara have you tried to look into the future yet, you¡¯re the only one of us that can.¡±[God 2] ¡°Not yet but I will now,¡± a feminine look figure covered in a plain white dress and a veil covering her face answers. Her eyes roll up into her head and her body starts to spasm, the gods closest to her back up. All of a sudden she screams and opens her eyes. ¡°Death so much death! Our problem will be fixed but at what cost?!¡± She lowers her head and keeps on weeping.
In a completely different dimension sits a planet and that planet is called Earth. It is beautiful yet ugly. A place where both exist. It is there that an average looking man, with black hair and blue eyes sits at a desk inside an office building. He is just an average looking guy, standing at 5¡¯11¡± and he sits at a desk typing away at a computer as he had done for the past four years of his life. Completely bored and tired of the same thing, over and over feeling as if he¡¯ll go mad if he sits inside his cubicle for any longer. He speaks for the first time in a couple of hours, ¡°Finally done ugh.¡± He stands and stretches his stiff limbs trying to get the blood moving again. ¡°Hey Matt you done yet?¡± He says. ¡°Yep, just finished Blaze.¡± Matt stand up and walks over to Blaze. ¡°Hey man look ,I¡¯m sorry about what happened with you and your girl, but shot happens, she¡¯s crazy man, how about we head down to the bar and get a few drinks.¡± Blaze¡¯s eyes immediately lost their shine for a moment yet they regain their shine. ¡°You know I¡¯m always up for a few drinks man,¡± says Blaze. ¡°Alright sweet I just gonna finish up and turn this into the boss real quick and I¡¯ll meet you there.¡± ¡°Alright see ya there.¡± Blaze then walks past several cubicles and heads to the elevator. He pushes the ground floor button, the elevator starts it¡¯s way downward and the same annoying music starts up slightly annoying Blaze. The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. Later that night, Blaze stumbled out of the bar and tried his best to walk. Next to him is a woman he just met, helping him walk and directing him into an alway. Blaze looks around in confusion and says, ¡°Where am I? This isn¡¯t my car.¡± The lady drops him suddenly and says, ¡°Here, can I leave now?¡± ¡°Not yet,¡± says a voice from behind ¡°You get to stay with us for a bit longer.¡± Several men appear from the allay and from the street blocking off the two. Two men grab the woman and knock her out before she yells and drag her deeper into the alley where she¡¯ll meet her misfortune. Blaze however cannot stand and and cannot fully understand what is happening with how intoxicated he is. Several hands search his person looking for anything of value. Hardly able to talk, Blaze opens his eyes to see nothing but blurry figures and says ¡°W-What are you doing, get away from me.¡± The men ignore him and keep searching. The hands stop their search and back off ¡°Go he ain¡¯t got nothing left. I¡¯ll take care of him¡± says one of the thugs. They walk away leaving one man left. He walks close to Blaze and kneels down getting closer to him. ¡°Boy you sure have had an unlucky night, haha welp you won¡¯t remember anything of this anyhow cus you won¡¯t be waking up.¡± The thug pull outs and knife while Blaze sits there realizing what¡¯s happening and decides to accept his fate, he couldn¡¯t do anything even if he tried. He feels something happening to his body and the man leaves. Blaze feels weird, he feels wet, wondering what it is he struggles to bring his hand to his face and sees nothing but red covering his hand. Suddenly a moment of clarity goes through Blaze, and he feels nothing but anger. With his vision getting darker he hears a voice calling out to him repeating his name. Matt moves into his vision and seems to be saying something however Blaze cannot hear him anymore yet Matt¡¯s mouth is still moving. Matt pulls out a phone to call 911 however it is to late. Blaze¡¯s vision goes dark and he stops moving his body going limp and his breathing stops, with a final though he thinks to himself, ¡°Man my life was boring.¡± (Will switch to first person from here) ¡°Where am I,¡± I thought to myself. I was surrounded in nothing, all around me was pitch black, darker than anything I could¡¯ve imagined. I try moving but I¡¯m not sure if I actually am. I move around for what seems like an endless amount of time. Darkness, I¡¯m not sure how I¡¯m staying sane at this point. My body isn¡¯t normal anymore, a ghostly pale form is all that¡¯s left. I agonizingly walk through the void, it was until I started to hear whispers that I started freaking out. I ran as fast as I could but the voices only got louder. It became clearer, there was a rabid snarling. If my corporeal body could swear I¡¯m sure I would¡¯ve, in fact I felt nothing, wasn¡¯t even tired. High pitched screams threw me out of my thoughts. I look around and I see a light, hope sparks through me at that instant and I move as fast as I could. It doesn¡¯t feel like I¡¯ve been getting any closer and the voices feel like they¡¯re right on my heels. I could finally make out the like, it looks to be some kind of tear, there was only white through the portal. I feel a pain lance through my legs and I tumble to the black floor just feet away from the portal. I scramble to get up and sprint once more to the portal before diving through. The portal snapping shut behind me and next I know my world is all white. Chapter 1 I open my eyes, at least I think I do as I don¡¯t have an physical eyes and I can see everything in a complete 360 degrees around me. My mind is hammered by new sensations I¡¯ve never felt before. It was shocking to say the least. My body feels different too, I can¡¯t move it however for whatever reason it feels normal, it feels really weird, I don¡¯t really know how to explain it however it isn¡¯t as uncomfortable as it could¡¯ve been. My body feels cramped almost as if I was wearing clothes that were too tight, not a size to small but several sizes so I¡¯ll survive. I try to look at myself but I can¡¯t for whatever reason so I switch my focus to my surroundings, and notice I¡¯m in some sort of cavern, just lying on the ground. It isn¡¯t small but then again it isn¡¯t massive. I¡¯d say it¡¯s average but then again I¡¯m not some professional cave measurer. What to do, what to do, I can¡¯t move or do anything but look at what¡¯s around me. I examine the cave I¡¯m in and I can¡¯t see anything out of the ordinary besides some glowing rocks and I don¡¯t see any tunnels of the the sort in here so I¡¯m stuck, not that it matters because I can¡¯t move. I can feel that annoying creeping sensation of boredom coming back again, that is until a blue screen appears in front of me.
[System implementing...] [System implemented] [Congrats on being born dungeon. Just think of the word stats to bring up your info]
Curious as to what this screen was I decided to humor it, wondering if it was anything like the novels I read while wondering if I was indeed a dungeon.
[Stats] [Name: Unnamed] [Level: 0] [Race: Dungeon + ] [Titles: + ] [Claimed area: Error ] [Recalibrating¡] [Answer: claimed area is exceedingly more than abnormal dungeons] [Calculating¡] [Answer: total claimed area is 100 trillion cubic kilometers] [Affinity: All + ] [Mana: 9,999,999,999/9,999,999,999] [Mana Regen: 299,792,459 mana/second] [Current Affliction: Excited, Confused, Core is stressed, tiny fractures] [Invaders: None] [Dungeon Monsters: None] [Creation: + ]
I just stare at the screen for a few moments until I mentally shake myself out of my stupid and think to myself, ¡°What in the world? It¡¯s a system alright kinda similar to some of the books I¡¯ve read but it¡¯s bugged or something.¡± Half of it didn¡¯t make any sense, the amount of mana I have is absurd as well as my regen and claimed area, that didn¡¯t make any sense at all because it would be more than four times the size of earth. The rest is pretty self explanatory but it is saying my core is currently fractured and worries me a bit. It¡¯d suck a lot if I died already. Trying not to think about it, I move on, my current level is 0 and I¡¯m listed as unnamed. Ugh, I have to come up with some super cool name or I might be stuck with something stupid forever. I¡¯ll leave it for later. This novel''s true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there. I¡¯d rather start having fun so I try to dismiss it by thinking it away and it disappears and I¡¯m left all alone in a dark cave. Well, that¡¯s not entirely true, there¡¯s a glow coming from me that lights up a few feet and there¡¯s a few glowing rocks out and about but I can see everything just fine without any problem. There are various types of metals along the walls and ceiling and many have different colors and a few give off a weird feeling, it¡¯s not bad, it feels good I suppose. Now that I think about it, I have magic which means there¡¯s going to be other magical stuff so it isn¡¯t hard to believe the ores are probably magical in nature. Oh well, just another thing I¡¯ve got to save for later. Boy I have got to start a to do list. Now onto my mana, the blue screen says I have a ridiculous amount but I don¡¯t know how to use it. Maybe if I focus inward, or something, it usually works in the books I¡¯ve read. I try to stop thinking and not focus on anything. To my vision the world dims however I don¡¯t notice. I feel around for something, anything at all, and there it is, this little tugging in the back of my mind. As soon as I notice it everything clicks into place and things feel more natural, like I¡¯m whole. Nothing happens after that. ¡°Now what.¡± I¡¯ve connected with it. I guess it¡¯s time for some trial and error. I bring my attention to the wall farthest away from me and figure it¡¯d be a perfect place to experiment so I don¡¯t accidentally blow myself up somehow. I focus on just removing a bit some stone and it just disappears, and suddenly my mind is filled with knowledge and I know everything there is know know about it. I unconsciously know I lost a point of mana but I got that point back almost immediately so I don¡¯t really focus on it.
[Congrats! You¡¯ve taken your first step on becoming a real dungeon. Through intelligence abnormal to normal dungeons, however lacking the normal instinct, you¡¯ve absorbed your first material] [Absorbed: Stone]
I stare at the screen and my mind fills with annoyance, the screen seemed almost mocking but getting angry at it won¡¯t help me so I dismiss is and look at my results. It says I absorbed stone. I don¡¯t have a clue what that means but I can infer I suppose. I noticed a nagging feeling in the back of my mind and I focus on the similar feeling just like before and a message pops up.
[Materials Absorbed] [Stone]
¡°Neat,¡± I dismiss the screen and look back at where I started. There¡¯s a hole in the wall and my mind wanders, my mind fills with all sorts of different traps, puzzles, monsters and people of all walks of life that I¡¯ll get to meet. I grow excited and I start laughing, I haven¡¯t been this excited in a while. When I calm down I decide that now would be a great time as any to start my dungeon. I begin by removing the stone at the walls of the cave, aiming for a perfect cube shaped room in mind. I start of slowly at first removing just a bit until I pick up the pace and everything goes smoothly, my will removes the stone as if it were butter and all of it goes into the pocket dimension in my head. It isn¡¯t long until I get to one of the many ores. This one is a greenish color and looks like a normal rock. I will the ore away noticing that it¡¯s slightly harder to absorb so I use more mana and a good bit finally gets removed. Expecting the screen this time, it appears.
[Absorbed Mythril]
Now that¡¯s surprising, I always figured mythril was a legendary metal according to mythology however I thought that it was extremely rare. I¡¯m surrounded in the stuff, it¡¯s all scattered about the cave and some of the metals feel even stronger that it. I grow excited at the prospect of being rich until reality hits and I realize I can¡¯t do much with it anyhow, nothing to buy and nobody to give it to. I mentally sign and resolved myself to preparing my dungeon as fast as I can in case anyone tries to get to me. That¡¯s where the real fun will begin.
In the realm of gods, another meeting is taking place, they are all bickering back and forth until a voice shouts, ¡°Silence!¡± The room begins to quiet until silence reigns and everyone is looking at the figure. ¡°Has anyone found out about the planet, Boris, tell me you found something out.¡± A shady looking man wearing leather armor of some sort, presumably Boris, speaks up, ¡°Not a clue, however like normal I can¡¯t go near it, there are some metals inside it that won¡¯t let divines on it. However while I was near I tried to scry it but I couldn¡¯t which means Amara was probably right, it¡¯s possible it could be a dungeon.¡± ¡°Preposterous! A dungeon of that size can¡¯t exist! How could one even spawn there!¡± shouted a man with wolf like ears. ¡°The planet did form from several stars and a nearby plane eons ago, the mana there has always had the potential to create one.¡± mumbled the scholarly demon-like man. ¡°The things the dungeon would make would be unlike anything we¡¯ve seen before, well hopefully.¡± Stated another god. Chapter 2 I have been removing stone for quite a while now, I don¡¯t really know how long it has been as there¡¯s no way for me to keep track of the time. It¡¯s been maybe a few days. I don¡¯t think it¡¯s been more than a week but I can¡¯t be sure, sometimes I fall into this state of serenity and time flies by. The room that I¡¯m in is now 3,000 cubic feet, a little more than I wanted but I don¡¯t mind, it was worth it. I¡¯ve learned and discovered a lot in these few days and the system has popped up with some new messages. I think about my stats up to check my progress and the same blue screen shows up with some new info.
Stats] [Name: Unnamed] [Level: 5 Exp: 63%] [Race: Dungeon] [Titles: + ] [Claimed Area: 100 trillion km] [Affinity: All] [Mana: 9,999,999,999/9,999,999,999] [Mana Regen: 299,792,459 mana/second] [Current Affliction: Core is stressed, Fractured, Bored] [Invaders: None] [Dungeon Mobs: None] [Creation: + ]
I¡¯ve done nothing but clear out some room, determination filling my very being. Removing the stone was easy and took about a second, however some of the ores took a bit longer and required more mana, and some required a lot more. Not that it matters because my regen is faster than the speed of light, but I remember I need to check my materials, I will myself into the extra space inside my head to look at the the various metals I¡¯ve absorbed.
[Materials Absorbed] [Stone] [Copper] [Aluminum] [Silver] [Gold] [Platinum] [Orichalcum] [Mythril] [Titanium] [Adamantite] [Divinium] [Liquid metal] [Star Dust] [Neutronium] [Hallowed Metal] [Hell Stone] [Luminite] [Glow Stone] [Various Mana Stones] [Various Gems] This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.[Various Elemental Fragments]
I absorbed a variety of minerals and with the knowledge I gained from them I was speechless, well as speechless as something that couldn¡¯t talk could get at least. Divinium and Star Dust are probably the strongest metals in existence; Divinium is inherently strong and creates ambient mana, there¡¯s nothing divine about it that I can tell, it probably was just named that due to the mana it makes. And Star Dust to me is a bit misrepresented, I mean it is a metal however there were only tiny amounts of it so I can understand the confusion. It¡¯s as durable as divinium but for whatever reason it took massive amounts of mana to absorb, way more than any other metal, but I didn¡¯t have a clue why. Maybe the system isn''t telling me everything, but whatever I guess, I¡¯ll just have to save that for another time. Now it¡¯s time for phase two, actually building my dungeon. I know I¡¯m no where close to actually having people in my dungeon, I just want to decorate the room because I was getting bored of my dull gray surroundings. I start off thinking about a design for a pedestal in the very center of the room. This will be the heart of my dungeon and where my body will rest and since that¡¯s the case I have to make it as majestic as possible. Thinking about it, I reassure myself that I don¡¯t have a ego but deep down I know I do have one and it¡¯s only getting bigger. I decide that since my core needs to be well protected so I try willing divinium, not willing to try Star dust with my annoying lack of knowledge. A block of it appears right smack dab in the middle of the room and before I could do anything else a screen pops up.
[Congrats *unnamed* you¡¯ve taken the second step on your way to becoming a dungeon!]
Annoyed, I dismiss it and focus on the block of divinium. It¡¯s roughly a cubic foot but it isn¡¯t good enough. I imagine it becoming taller and I watch it grow, sucking a good chunk of mana away from me until I stop when it¡¯s about 5 feet high. Now I¡¯m left with a giant block of Divinium gracing the empty stone room. I begin carving it with my will, making beautiful swirls and drawing battles from ancient history, of ships gliding through the sea, and of mythical beasts from legend. For the finishing touches I set various gems into my pedestal, molding the divinium to hold each gem securely. I inlay some of the decorations with gold and platinum, making it seem even more regal. Time flies as I enter that familiar state of serenity, until when it feels like no time had passed, I was finished. My eyes, well my mind I guess, graces the masterpiece I created and I¡¯ve got to say, I¡¯m impressed with myself. Yea, definitely no ego at all. Now for the hard part, actually moving myself up there. I never really got the chance to improve myself with the way I see. So far I¡¯ve only been able to see in a 360 degree around myself and I figure that if this was really the only way I could I¡¯d be seriously limited in what I could do. My mana works through my willpower so maybe it¡¯s possible it would the same way. I focus on my vision, forcing it to change to turn around and look at myself, and it was working, albeit slowly. I saw myself for the first time since being reincarnated and was stunned. There on the ground was a roundish uncut crystal gem. It was mostly clear but you could see many colors swirling, almost as if they were all dancing together in some incomprehensible pattern. However there was one problem, I am only about 5 inches wide and I mentally cried. ¡°I¡¯m so small,¡± I thought to myself, it felt as if my ego shattered in that moment, there was no way I could impress anyone with just 5 inches. I better start improving my performance or else I¡¯ll be the laughing stock of all dungeons. Repressing those thoughts I will the ground around me to to move, and like a gentle river the stone flows, pushing my core closer to the pedestal. Eventually I make it to the base where I then will the stone underneath my core to grow and only stopping when I reach the top of my new home. I will the stone to push me on to the pedestal, once on I fix the floor, removing the blemishes, returning it to it¡¯s once smooth state. I mentally relax my muscles, enjoying my new home and being proud of my accomplishment. I did know that I had hardly even scratched the surface of starting but I¡¯m proud nonetheless. Suddenly a thought came to mind. I¡¯d never seen the surface of my planet, never had the chance to so with a thought, I will my mind, sort of throwing it towards the surface and in no time at all I see what I¡¯m going to be working with and what I saw left me a bit depressed. As far as the eye could see there was nothing but cold grey stone. Everything was enshrouded in darkness and I can¡¯t see a sun or any kind of star anywhere. Back on the surface, it reminded me a bit like mars just instead of sand or dust there was the occasional mounds of gravel. I¡¯d have to terraform the entire surface and I wasn¡¯t close to having the knowledge to do that. With that I know I have my work cut out for me so I return to my room but I was stunned by what happened next. Chapter 3 Almost as soon as I willed myself back in my core room, an alarming sight tore its way into existence. Close to my core there was a tear in space, and there was a familiar sight, inside it was a pitch black expanse as far as the eye could see. I could almost feel other entities living inside it. I felt their attention snap towards me and an animalistic hunger pervaded the very air. I raged as my vision turned red, how dare these things come near my core, I would kill them all. But before I could even try a small black shape leapt through the portal and it closed immediately trapping the other beings inside. I immediately calmed as I felt no hostility but I was still wary. I felt a sort of kinship with what appeared to be a completely black cat. I watched as it studied me with it¡¯s intelligent gold eyes. It jumped onto my pedestal and placed a paw upon my core and I was greeted with a message.
[*Error* wants to form a contract with you, accept? Yes or Yes?]
Hopefully this is the helper that guy sent me, and there¡¯s no way I could deny it for whatever reason, slightly worrying but screw it, I focused on yes, the message disappeared and a sharp pain nailed its way through my mind. I felt a piece of myself enter the being and a part of it entered me, the pieces remained connected and the most curious thing happened, the two strings twirled together like yarn until it melded into one. The euphoria was instant but disappeared almost as quick. For whatever reason I felt whole again, as if I was missing a piece of myself for the longest time and I finally had it back. A feminine sultry voice entered my mind, ¡°Hello there little princeling.¡± ¡°Wait what did you just call me,never mind that what are you?¡± I thought back at it. A laughter that could only be described as rich and pleasing followed. I know that the voice is coming from the cat and it''s a but unusual but I could deal with it. ¡°Don¡¯t mind that, I am a being of chaos after all, I was made and shaped by it.¡± The cat paused then resumed, ¡°Now I know why I was drawn here, you¡¯re not supposed to exist, I mean look at you, a dungeon that covers an entire planet, it¡¯s absurd. I like it.¡± We were silent for a minute until I I asked, ¡°How can you help me?¡± She laughed and said, ¡°I have knowledge no mortal will have, I have spent much of my life tricking and manipulating mortals, and besides I can leave this place to go get you new materials to use.¡± Intrigued and weighing the pros and cons of having her here I accepted it. ¡°Well then, let¡¯s work together. I don¡¯t believe I know your name.¡± She laughed, ¡°You may call me Archa, haha this is just too purrfect.¡± Not to long later ¡°Hmm that does seem to be a problem, well your core is cracked because it can hardly contain all of your mana, it¡¯s a wonder how it¡¯s held up,¡± commented Archa. ¡°Is there anything I can do to fix myself?¡± ¡°Wow you must¡¯ve just been born the other day, but I¡¯ve got to give it to you, you seem more intelligent than other dungeons but you aren¡¯t very bright.¡± She snickered. If I could frown I would¡¯ve, ¡°Do you know how to fix it?¡± ¡°Yes I know how to,¡± she smirked as well as a cat could. ¡°Well?¡± ¡°Oh you wanted me to tell you? It¡¯s simple really, all you really have to do is form your mana around your core and compress, the mana will mold into your core making it bigger, stronger, and more dense but it doesn¡¯t seem like you need help with the last bit.¡±This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. I ignored her last comment and focused on what she said, just will mana to appear around my core and compress it into myself, what could go wrong really. I willed a little chunk of mana to form, when I say little I mean it in perspective to my capacity, the mana I willed was roughly 500 points. I surrounded my core with it and compressed. I watched in amazement as my cracks disappeared and my core started to grow. It was taking its sweet time, but I wasn¡¯t in a rush, I just kept watching my core grow, and when my 500 points were gone I was now roughly 10 inches across and I was much more smooth, like a polished gem. There were still some rough edges but I didn¡¯t mind, I think it makes me look rugged. I checked my status to see if there was anything new.

The message telling me my core was fractured was finally gone, and I felt something fall off my metaphorical chest and was relieved. I dismissed the screen and another one appeared.
[Focus on the + to bring up more information]
Curious I dismissed the message and brought up my stats again. My titles, and creation were the only two that had the tabs. I start with titles and focus on it.
[Titles] [Error] [Updating...]
[Titles] [The Biggest] [Largest dungeon in the universe] [Dungeon of CHAOS] [ERROR]
Well the first one is kinda cool but it makes me seem like I¡¯m over compensating but whatever and the second one, dungeon of chaos, and more error. I don¡¯t have a clue about what¡¯s going on but as long as it isn¡¯t killing me or will kill me I don¡¯t really care. Next, my creations tab, I focus on it and was met by the most irritating thing ever.
[Creations] [None] [Can only make creations with materials or anything that has been absorbed]
I¡¯m glad I¡¯ve got Archa to depend on, I would pretty much be lost without her. I remember she told me that can somehow get materials for me. ¡°Hey Archa I¡¯ve got a favor to ask.¡± ¡°Took you long enough, but what do you want?¡± ¡°Can you get me some materials to use?¡± I asked. She laughed like I said the most hilarious joke ever. ¡°You haven¡¯t even gotten started with your dungeon yet, you¡¯re the size of a planet and no one can get to you, you don¡¯t need monsters yet.¡± I glare at her as best as I can, my lack of eyes seems to limit my evil glare. She laughs again, ¡°Fine, I¡¯ll help you start your dungeon instead, it will be fun.¡± I reconsider, thinking about it only for a second and accepting right after. ¡°Alright well since you don¡¯t have any monsters you can create just yet how about we start off with a maze, maybe a labyrinth,¡± Archa said with excitement, her cat body sort of bounding all over the room. ¡°Alright I¡¯m listening.¡± ¡°Ooh and I can even teach you how to make building go so much faster and *gasp* the maze could be half the planet! We¡¯re going to have so much fun!¡± Chapter 4 In the mysterious realm of gods, the gods were still in an arguement, some still opposing the very existence of the dungeon while others were openly supporting it, enraging the other gods. ¡°We¡¯ve got to do something about this thing, it shouldn¡¯t exist, if it brings calamity to worlds why should it be allowed to exist?!¡± Shouted one of the gods. ¡±Well, it will fix a big problem, so what if a few worlds die, it¡¯s happened before, and everyone knows dungeons produce ambient mana so it¡¯s possible a dungeon of that size should fix our mana problem, we should let it grow and we can send mortals there to gather whatever it makes. The only problem is how to get the mortals there.¡± ¡°It shouldn¡¯t exist anyhow, it will bring nothing but calamity to us all!¡± ¡±Calm down, there¡¯s no need to get worked up over a dungeon.¡± ¡°Worked up?!¡± ¡±Quiet, both of you.¡± The two gods lower their heads and sit back in their seats, one visibly fuming while the other had a smirk on his face. After a moment of awkward silence,¡°It would seem the pros outweigh the cons, we should nurture the dungeon and let it prosper however if it does eventually go rogue we must put it down.¡± ¡±Indeed, that seems to be the proper course, let¡¯s have a vote shall we, all in favor...¡±
¡°So I¡¯m liking this idea, but how am I supposed to build it all, I¡¯ve got an entire planet to cover.¡± I am quite curious as to how as Archa seems pretty confident. ¡±That does seem to be a problem, but it¡¯s easy, every dungeon can do it but you¡¯re going to need to use it more than others because of how massive you are,¡± she said, somehow I could hear a smirk in that voice. ¡±Well don¡¯t hold out what is it?¡± ¡±Oh, all you have to do is split your mind, you would be able to control the different pieces of yourself and have them do different tasks, also as a dungeon you¡¯re inherently amazing at multitasking, you should know this by now, all dungeons are born with this information.¡± I remain quiet, curious if I should tell her I was reborn or not. Ultimately I decide that it would be better to share. She could have some sort of idea on this. So I tell her my story of how I got here. ¡±Well that¡¯s no wonder how you don¡¯t know anything, and I can¡¯t believe you¡¯re somehow still alive! Ha imagine it, a mortal soul wandering through the void and becoming something that shouldn¡¯t exist!¡± ¡±What do you mean?¡± ¡±I mean you shouldn¡¯t be alive, and it¡¯s impossible for you, a dungeon of this size to even exist!¡±This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. ¡±Well I¡¯m here aren¡¯t I?¡± ¡±Yea you are, that¡¯s whats confusing me, but it¡¯s no matter, we¡¯re going to have lots of fun together!¡± I got lost in my thoughts thinking about the future, it¡¯s a good ways away until I¡¯m content but I¡¯m willing to do whatever it takes. It isn¡¯t a moment later that I¡¯m interrupted from my thoughts. ¡°Hello? You there? Anyone home?¡± ¡±Yes I¡¯m here, sorry I was just thinking.¡± ¡±Well don¡¯t think to hard, I could see smoke billowing out of your core.¡± She laughed and I ignored the comment. ¡°Are you going to split your mind yet? Come on it¡¯s not like there isn¡¯t a possiblility of dying or anything.¡± ¡±What?!¡± I mentally yelled and watched as the cat winced. ¡±Not so loud, it was just a joke, as a dungeon you shouldn¡¯t die from it. Just go ahead and try so we can start building.¡± I have as good a sigh I could with my lack of lungs, not of relief but of annoyance. I focus inward on myself, I think. I have no idea if I¡¯m doing any of this correctly or not. Almost naturally I imagine a piece of myself detaching yet connected by an imaginary rope to myself. I could feel it working yet what next. Then a screen answered that question for me.
[Contrats! You¡¯ve successfully split you mind [1] time. What would you like this piece to perform?]
This is perfect. What to do, what to do. I know, I focus on the piece of myself and imagine it building a complex maze on the surface of the planet. The screen disappears and I knew it worked. It was like breathing while I was alive, I can feel it doing something and I somehow know I could take over any minute.
[Minds Split: 1] [1: Building a labyrinth on surface] [Parameters: None]
With this new screen filling my mind I was drawn towards the parameters, the piece would just build whatever kind of labyrinth and just be done. I wasn¡¯t sure what to put so I informed Archa. ¡±Well if course you¡¯d have to put parameters, it would just do whatever, here think of no monsters, a height limit, how wide, traps, what the walls are made of, the usual stuff you¡¯d find you know, come on it really isn¡¯t that hard.¡± She laughed and I became frustrated with myself for not thinking of that. I focus on that piece and think of what exactly I want. Let¡¯s make it cover half the surface, let¡¯s do 50 feet tall, no monsters as I don¡¯t want people to die just yet, and maybe put a little bit of Mythril in the walls so it would be harder to break.
[Parameters accepted]
[Minds Split: 1] [1: Building a labyrinth on surface] [Parameters: ] ~50 feet high ~no monsters ~inlay the walls with Mythril ~must cover exactly half the surface of the planet
And the piece went right to work, but what it was doing was confusing me, it was making a tunnel to the surface. There was a small hole, about 5 centimeters wide in the middle of one of the walls. It is making really good process absorbing the stone and going straight towards the surface at an incredible pace. I looked at Archa and asked her why it was doing that. ¡±Oh sorry I keep forgetting that you don¡¯t know this stuff, it¡¯s making the tunnel so that your mana can access the surface, don¡¯t ask me how it works even I don¡¯t know, my guess is that dungeons can¡¯t make their mana just go straight through random walls, it actually has to be connected somehow, like a tunnel or hallway of sorts.¡± This could be a bit of a problem but I can make it work. Oh huh the tunnel has reached the surface already, it¡¯s a fast worker alright, guess if I really put my mind to it I can really get stuff done. I mentally laugh at my little pun and watch, enthralled as the fast forming maze growing out of the gravel and stone. The ground starts to smooth out and begins to look like a normal stone floor while the walls have a slight green hue. The other piece of myself doesn¡¯t seem to be making it into any kind of pattern, just a confusing mess meant to trap people in and not let them out. I will my mind to look at it from above. The maze stands out like a sore thumb, a large contrast to the waste land that is my home.
