《Game Changers》
Adventures! 1
¡°Fireball!¡± shouted the mage. Several balls of rapidly expanding heat were sent flying towards the minotaur. It cleaved through each of them with the greatest of ease.
A knight appeared from underneath having traveled next to the balls of fire, and he found the most opportune moment to strike at the boss. He impaled the monster and activated his skill, greater strike, his blade reddened and hissed at the very air that dared to touch it. He thrust the sword inside the minotaur¡¯s abdomen and went upward, slicing the beast in two.
¡°We did it!¡± cheered the cleric, she started jumping up and down in excitement. Her vivacious breasts were bouncing up and down underneath her blue and white robes. She gained more than a few lustful stares from the knight and the mage. ¡°We finally got the treasure!¡±
¡°Heh. Yeah, we did it.¡± The knight paused several times in his sentence. It was almost like he was distracted and kept losing his train of thought.
The smallest of the group, the mage yelled, ¡°Alright, team! It¡¯s not over until we actually get the treasure!¡±
The cleric whooped, ¡°Right!¡± her smile was beaming brighter than her blonde hair. With a bounce in her step, she approached the Mage along with the knight that was still ogling her. The party surrounded a large, sturdy chest that covered in all sorts of underuse. No key was necessary for the chest as two golden latches only secured it.
The cleric and knight waited in bated anticipation at the spoils that were to come. ¡°Alright, here we go!¡± said the mage lifting the chest¡¯s lid, his smile faded, and he let out a shriek. The interior of the chest was pink and fleshy, organs inside were undulating, inflating and deflating. Two mandibles gripped his torso and pulling him inside.
¡°No!¡± shouted the knight. He tried his best to keep the mimic from eating his party member. The mimic¡¯s lid grew teeth all around the edges of the opening, shutting it impaled the mage bisecting him, with all the force the knight had pulling his friend it sent him flying off balance a few feet. He shouted, drawing his sword. ¡°Y-you damn box!¡±
However, he didn¡¯t get very far as a loud thunderous crack echoed across the room along with a skittering of a wood. He dropped to his knees falling face forward.

The cleric smirked with her broken staff in her hand. She quipped, ¡°Huh, I expected more out of that.¡± She shrugged and pulled out a dagger. speaking out loud, she crooned ¡°Oh well.¡± Plunging the dagger deep into his neck.

Target afflicted with bleed! (-2 HP/s)
|
¡°Hmph. Whatever,¡± she spoke without care leaving the dagger in the knight¡¯s neck to keep the remaining bleed effect. She sighed and looked at the mimic; it was happily digesting the upper half of the mage by the signs of it returning to its dormant chest state. Her hair shortened and darkened. Her chest size shrank greatly. She took a seat on top of the mimic. It didn¡¯t react. ¡°Hey,¡± she started, ¡°You listening?¡± The box didn¡¯t respond. She squinted and kicked the box with the heel of her boots.
The mimic now enraged tried to open its lid but couldn¡¯t. She smiled and laughed, ¡°That got your attention.¡± The mimic started to grow vaguely spider-like feet. She grabbed one as it came out and tore it off.
Its purple blood splattered over the ground. It screeched in pain. She spoke assuringly. ¡°Easy there big boy. I¡¯m not here to fight you.¡± The mimic hesitatingly stopped struggling. ¡°Good.¡± she purred rubbing the lid as if the creature was a domesticated animal. ¡°I¡¯ve got deal for you.¡± The mimic developed a single stalk eye to look at the female. She continued to use her soft words. ¡°So, you figured it out?¡± She jumped off the mimic and stretched out her arms as if to embrace someone in a hug. She excitedly yelled, ¡°Yup! I¡¯m a changeling. And you guessed it, and we¡¯re cousins! Name¡¯s Ling by the way.¡±
The mimic grumbled, and Ling nodded. ¡°Yup, I can understand you.¡± She went back to her original spot on top of the mimic. ¡°Now about that deal.¡±
The mimic grumbled and made general noise.
¡°You join my party!¡±
The mimic stiff groaned and grumbled.
¡°¡®What do you get out of it¡¯? Hmm.¡± She pressed her hand against her face. ¡°Food?¡±
The chest grumbled very dejectedly.
¡°Shiny things? Sure? But, I¡¯m only giving you a quarter of the shiny things.¡±
The mimic grumbled in agreement.
|
Congratulations! Mimic has joined your party!
|
Ling smiled and shouted, ¡°Neato!¡± Another screen popped up shortly after.

Target has been killed! Gained 40EXP! Level Up!

Ling was nearly bursting with laughter, ¡°Pffft. Tanky little boy, weren¡¯t you?¡±
Adventures! 2
Ling¡¯s hair changed from its darkened state back into the luscious long golden locks, her chest expanded like a water balloon, in seconds she was the same bimbo-ish cleric she was before.
¡°We gotta do something about your appearance, mimic.¡± She put a hand to her face in contemplation. The mimic made a disconcerting grumble. ¡°No, it¡¯d look weird if a girl like me carried you around.¡± The mimic grumbled turned into a low growl.
She crossed her arms, pressing her breasts close to her body. She thought hard about what could be done to make thing easier. ¡°Ah!¡± She shouted as a metaphorical light bulb lit itself. She ran to the party¡¯s mage and returned with her hands behind her back and a smile that was practically beaming from ear to ear. ¡°Open wide!¡± She mused.
It didn¡¯t take a genius to know that the mimic was highly cautious of what she wanted to do.
¡°Don¡¯t be a party pooper.¡± She said, ¡°Just open up!¡±
The mimic refused to do as she wanted unless it saw what she had in store for it. She sighed, ¡°Fine!¡± The object she had in hiding was a leather satchel bag and was slightly hanging to one side, broken as it was missing part of the sling. The mage often carried his books, elixirs and other magic-based items.
The mimic made a low growl of displeasure. ¡°But it is way cuter than that dusty old chest shape!¡±
The mimic turned its back to Ling and grumbled. ¡°C¡¯mon!¡± She complained. Another lightbulb brightened in her head. Her smile turned mischievous as she pulled out a coin from the valley from in betwixt her breasts. ¡°Would you do it for a shiny new coin?¡± The mimic¡¯s mono stalk eye turned around to view the coin but immediately turned back around. Ling moved her fingers holding the coin to the side, revealing a second one that was hiding behind the first. The mimic still didn¡¯t budge. ¡°Hmm.¡± she hummed. She pointed to the lower half of the mage¡¯s torso. Stating plainly, ¡°I¡¯ll let you have the rest of him.¡±
That seemed to be a sweet spot for the creature as it squealed with joy and gobbled the rest of the mage¡¯s body. The mimic approached Ling making happy mimic noises. ¡°Ah uh! The bag first.¡± The mimic¡¯s hyper died down, and it begrudgingly opened its mouth Followed by Ling dropping in the broken satchel. As the mimic was chewing the sounds of breaking glass and metal bending could be heard. A gas began shooting from the sides of the mimic coating the ground in a thick fog.
¡°Hmm. I wonder¡¡± Ignoring the chest¡¯s transformation, she said the words. ¡°Inspect.¡± while looking at the mimic, a common spell that allowed her the ability to see necessary information about an object, a person in your party, or this case, a monster.
Name: Mimic
Race: Mimic

Health: 75/75
Mana: 50/50
Skills:
- Shapeshift (Inanimate objects)
- True Eyes
- Iron Gut
¡°Yeah let¡¯s make this something less conspicuous.¡± She raised her voice loud enough for the mimic to hear, ¡°Your name is Mic, okay!?¡± It didn¡¯t say anything, but next to its original name was now ¡®Mic.¡¯ She inspected further on the skill ¡®Iron Gut¡¯.The author''s tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
Iron Gut: (passive) The user¡¯s stomach can break down the toughest of materials without any adverse effects.
¡°Neato.¡± However, she didn¡¯t get a chance to inspect any more skills before Mic jumped into her arms. The once massive chest that once was longer than she was tall was now a hip length carrier bag with retractable spider legs. Most of the mimic¡¯s chest-like appearance were still prominent, the two golden latches and brown color. Holding Mic, she couldn¡¯t contain her excitement, ¡°Oh my, you¡¯re way cuter than I imagined!¡± the eye in the middle of the bag visible rolled.
It grumbled and opened its now pouch mouth she dropped the promised coins in. Mic now sated with its payment, and a big lunch went back to sleep. She wore the handbag with the strap diagonally over her chest. That''s all there was to it for today, she lost two party members but gained a cute bag, today was good.
***
The ¡®cleric¡¯ was sitting at a table in the guild hall, a massive building with marble flooring, multiple floors and an organizational structure that is so tight it was quite often deemed supernatural and ran by automatons.
¡°Hm? Why do I choose such an ugly form?¡± Ling repeated what the mimic satchel said as it laid on top of the table. Ling drank from the cup of water she had next to her companion. ¡°Because humans are stupid and dumb. Unlike us shapeshifters, they won¡¯t understand true beauty.¡±
Mic vibrated in place with a sound that was more akin to hawking a loogie. ¡°No, chests are not the best.¡± She put a finger and thumb to her chin. ¡°Well, maybe if it were made out of gold then it would be.¡± Mic squealed in agreement.
In the corner of Ling¡¯s eye, there was a glimpse of light from the furthest end of the room at another table from a very thick sword carried via a ring mount. The owner was a large rough looking man wearing mostly just a leather chest piece and leggings, and several scattered animals diversified his set. However, he wasn¡¯t alone. Accompanying him was a man with long red hair done up in a ponytail and carrying an archery set, more than likely a scout. The next was a female with black hair a brimmed hat. She carried around a staff with a monster skull. The last was a small male with white robes and a book. His brown hair neatly parted to the side, and he was more than likely the party¡¯s mage. Judging by each of their gear, they probably were low leveled, perfect.
Ling smirked strapping Mic to her side. ¡°Watch this.¡± She got up from her empty table and started to jog towards the group. ¡°Heeey!¡± she yelled, ¡°over here!¡± She waved her right arm above her head. She certainly gained the attention of the group and quite a few others. Most of the room fell silent as nearly everyone watched the vibrations of each step send a ripple and an impactful force to her chest sending her breasts upward only for gravity to bring their weight right back down just for them to rebound and slightly ricochet off to the side again.
A few of the female adventures looked with envy as Ling¡¯s springy chest made them fill with jealousy, others looked on with disgust as such fat hanging on the upper part of the torso was useless and would only get in the way. It was needless to say, but all the men were quite attentive to her actions and assets.
The male of the party was smiling almost from ear to ear. The witch looked virtually annoyed by the very acknowledgment that such a loud and excited female existed and the mage, looked like he was trying to hide, but his reddening face gave away his reason for doing so.
By the time she approached the table, she had brought so much attention to herself that anything she did would be looked over with lust or scrutiny. ¡°Hey, guys I-.¡± Ling tripped over and fell face forward into the table.

There was a collective groan from the room as she faceplanted. The witch¡¯s staff lit with a purple glow, and the Cleric was now levitating just slightly above the table. The Witch spoke with unamused enthusiasm, ¡°What do you want?¡±
Ling covered her nose where she took most of the blunt force impact. Her hands were muffling her voice. ¡°I was wondering if you guys needed a healer.¡± The trio looked at each other.
Adventures! 3
The rough man smiled at the witch and mage, ¡°Now, I like to think it¡¯d be nice to have¡¯n support magic since we¡¯ve only got offense.¡± He turned to the other two and asked, ¡°Rue, Alin? Your thoughts?¡±
Rue, the witch. Looked at the floating cleric for a while then stating, ¡°I think she¡¯ll just get in the way.¡± Her face remained as cold as her words.
The man¡¯s face turned into a frown. ¡°Don¡¯t you think that''s a little harsh, Rue?¡± He opined.
Rue pointed and shouted, ¡°Bull! Just look at her! She could barely even walk over here without tripping over her own feet!¡±
The man presumed to be Bull looked at Ling, who was slowly making her back around with a full rotation, there were a few seconds of silence before he met her pleading eyes and wholesome smile. He laughed, ¡°All I see is an innocent young girl that wants to join a party!¡± He stopped and leaned in close to Rue and murmured, ¡°Is it because you¡¯re jealous?¡±
At first, she didn¡¯t understand what he meant until he pointed at her chest. In which she looked down witnessing her near washboard physique. ¡°That has nothing to do with this!¡± she screamed.
Ling finally decided to speak, ¡°Uhm, could I be put down now?¡± She was already on her way towards another full rotation. Rue with a flick of her wrist released her hold. With the help of gravity Ling came crashing down to the floor.

From underneath the table, the faint sound of pain could be heard. Bull turned to the only member that was still was silent, the mage Alin. ¡°So, what''re your thoughts?¡± he asked.
He suddenly yelled, ¡°What!?¡± He looked at the three frantically.
¡°Your opinion.¡± Bull said, ¡°On whether we get a healer.¡±
¡°You also think that she¡¯ll be useless, right?¡± Rue argued.
¡°Uh. I uh.¡± Alin stammered. ¡°I think everyone deserves a chance.¡±
Bull smiled smugly and declared, ¡°That settles it! The healer joins our party!¡± he reached out his hand towards Ling lifting her self from the floor. ¡°Welcome aboard Miss-uh? What¡¯s your name?¡±
Ling looked at his hand and took it giggling, ¡°It¡¯s Ling.¡±
¡°You probably already figured it out but, My name is Bull,¡± he pointed to the witch, ¡°Rue¡± then to the mage, ¡°and that''s Arlin.¡±
The mention of Arlin¡¯s name made Ling¡¯s face brighten, and she immediately embraced the boy in a young smothering his face in between her two mountains she repeatedly shouted, ¡°Thank you!¡± until the boy had to tap out for air. When the two broke contact Alin¡¯s face was as red as tomato although, it was unsure whether or not that was because of the unnecessary hug or because he couldn¡¯t breathe. The answer was probably both. This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.
Bull spoke, ¡°We were about to head down into the dungeons after a few drinks, care to join us?¡±
¡°I can¡¯t.¡± Ling denied, ¡°I have to get a new staff, my old party broke it.¡±
¡°Oh,¡± groaned bull. ¡°Shame, this could¡¯ve been a bonding moment.¡±
Ling clasped her hands together and apologized, ¡°I¡¯m very sorry!¡± She then turned around from the table and left them.
¡°See?¡± she muttered to the handbag. ¡°humans are stupid,¡± Mic grumbled from her waist while she walked. she repeated. ¡°¡®Did I notice?¡¯ Of course, I did. But I don¡¯t think they noticed and by the looks of it they¡¯ll never notice.¡±
***
Bull swung his hammer catching a kobold in the side; its body bent unnaturally to the side as it flinging it into the dungeon wall. Whatever bones that were still not crushed into oblivion by the attack surely shattered the moment it made the impact.
¡°Ah!¡± Ling gasped, ¡°You¡¯re so strong! You killed it instantly!¡± she began touching Bull¡¯s exposed biceps.
¡°That was nothing!¡± Bull boasted. ¡°I¡¯ll really show you something when we reach the boss¡± Bull smirked flexing for the female grabbing on his arms.
¡°Get a room,¡± Rue muttered rolling her eyes, taking the initiative to scout the rest of the way. ¡°Lesser light!¡± she yelled. An orb of white light projected itself from the skull staff and into the ceiling. Most of the objects that were being just so happened to be the walls, ceiling, and a seemingly endless hall.
Alin had approached Rue, leaving the cleric and party leader. ¡°Do you really hate Ling?¡± he asked.
She shook her head. ¡°I don¡¯t hate her,¡± she confessed, ¡°It''s just that I¡¯ve seen parties dissolve because of girls like that.¡±
Alin mouthed an ¡®o.¡¯ ¡°You think she¡¯s a danger to our composition?¡±
She nodded. ¡°Sort of. Girls like her busty, cute and carefree¡ they can turn men into puppets real quick. I think she¡¯s dangerous.¡±
Alin snickered, ¡°So, this was about your chest size?¡±
Rue¡¯s faced turned red causing her to yell in embarrassment. ¡°Shut up! It''s not!¡± she gave him a light punch on his arm. The two then shared a burst of light laughter, until it was interrupted when the flooring began to depress underneath her foot. The two of them both looked down and simultaneously said, ¡°Uh oh.¡± In the distance, there was a faint scraping noise only to be followed behind by the screaming of two party members.
Bull and Ling came into full view, running their hardest. Bull shouted quickly, ¡°Run!¡± As he passed the two magic users
The two were confused at first until the giant boulder came into view. Then they took off running. It didn¡¯t take long for them to reach the other two, especially when they¡¯re running for their lives. Rue continued to cast lesser light on the ceilings.
Alin took in deep breaths quickly, being a mage typically meant weak physical attributes. The last light orb that went out illuminated a fast-approaching wall with no other means of movement; in other words, a dead end. The party halted before the wall.
Bull looked at Ling immediately dropped to the floor pressing her ear on the ground and started tapping on the floor the moment they stopped running. ¡°Ling, what the hell are you doing?¡±
Ling knocked on the floor again ignoring Bull; the feedback from the floor was hollow and echoed. She jumped up from the ground and backed up shouting, ¡°There! Blow up the floor there!¡±
Alin exhausted chanted, ¡°Lesser explosion!¡± a fireless eruption occurred right in the spot where Ling was pointing. The debris scattered all around hitting everything but the party.
¡°Jump in!¡± Ling yelled.
¡°Don¡¯t have to tell me twice!¡± Bull yelled taking the first leap shortly followed by the rest.
The fall wasn¡¯t long, but it wasn¡¯t short either. Fortunately, when they landed, they did not suffer any injuries. Rue cast another lesser light. Everyone was trying to regain their footing and breathing.
¡°Wait,¡± Rue said, ¡°Couldn¡¯t you have just cast protection?¡±
Ling stuck out her tongue. ¡°Silly me, I forgot!¡±
Adventures! 4
Ling refitted her beret as it came slightly off, Mic grumbled a little from being suddenly awakened. Alin brushed off his robes, bits of dirt and stone persisted and would take much more time to remove possibly even a few repairs. Ling looked up the hole they just made, and it was completely dark, the boulder must¡¯ve rolled over the top, not like they could go back up that way anyway.
Bull whistled, ¡°Must¡¯ve fallen to the fifth floor with a hole that long.¡±
¡°Actually,¡± Alin interjected. ¡°We¡¯re on the seventh floor.¡± Alin fumbled with the dungeon map, turning it upside down and to the sides.
¡°What!¡± Bull yelled.
¡°We¡¯ve probably hit an abandoned tunnel that took us even further.¡± Alin rolled the map up putting it inside his robe.
Bull readied his hammer and declared. ¡°New objective, team. We¡¯re backtracking till we get out.¡± Bull picked a random direction and began heading that way.
Ling was about to follow but was stopped by a hand, turning around it was Rue, her red eyes made unyielding eye contact, yet showed a hint of sincerity. ¡°Look, I¡¯m sorry that I thought you were going to slow us down,¡± she apologized, ¡°but, where did you learn to check for something like that?¡±
Ling smiled giving the small flat chested girl a much-needed hug. ¡°I totally forgive you!¡± She shouted swinging the struggling girl in between her cleavage. Eventually, the cleric let go of her allowing her to breathe. ¡°This isn¡¯t the first dungeon I¡¯ve been in!¡±
Rue gasped in between breaths she said, ¡°Just because you saved us once, doesn¡¯t mean I fully trust you.¡±
¡°You probably right not to trust me.¡± Ling shrugged. ¡°I don¡¯t blame you.¡± she turned away from the witch and headed into the same direction that bull went.
When they were a reasonable distance in between each other, the mimic on her waist grumbled. ¡°Hmm?¡± She hummed listening to its words. ¡°¡®Blending in?¡¯ Yeah, I¡¯m doing that.¡± The mimic¡¯s series of noises continued. ¡°I swear I am! Humans are really dumb creatures! This is something called reverse psychology.¡± Mic made a noise of confusion. ¡°You see since she doesn¡¯t trust me already, by telling her not to trust me. I¡¯m making her trust me.¡±
Mic made an alerting sound. ¡°Hm?¡± Ling hummed, ¡°Monsters?¡± she peeked the corner that bull had went. Two kobolds who were slightly taller than Bull where pinning him against the wall hissing at each other. Ling removed Mic from around her chest. She was holding it out in front of her. Its single eye was looking right back at her. ¡°Mic, ready?¡± she whispered. The mimic made a noise of confusion before it was launched at a speed comparable to the force of a trebuchet into the face of a kobold.

While the other kobold was distracted trying to figure out what was going on with its partner, Ling approached from behind readying her dagger to make a critical strike at the beast¡¯s neck. Unfortunately, its superior hearing alerted it to her presence. It let go of the unconscious Bull to tail whip her into the wall. She yelped in pain the moment she came into contact.
¡°Alright¡¡± she spoke struggling to regain her balance after flying for a few feet, ¡°we gotta do this the hard way.¡± she flipped her dagger to her main hand after dropping her staff. The kobold hissed at her dual wielding both swords that the two monsters had brought along. Unbeknownst to the creature, a fleshy tentacle wrapped itself around its leg, and the creature was thrown off balance landing on its stomach. It clawed on the floor trying to stop its current fast track to the mimic¡¯s maw. Ling stood straight losing her combat stance as she watched the kobold get dragged into the now vicious chest. ¡°You know, you kinda ruined that whole moment for me,¡± she said approaching her party mate.
She flipped him over on his back. His eyes were wide open and were the only things that were moving. It seemed the kobolds didn¡¯t get the better hand over him in a fight; they merely used some form of paralysis poisons.Enjoying this book? Seek out the original to ensure the author gets credit.
¡°Oh.¡± she said slightly shocked, ¡°you¡¯re still alive? I guess you know I¡¯m not a cleric now.¡± She stopped for a second and thought deeply. ¡°Actually, you wouldn¡¯t have known until I told you since you probably didn¡¯t even see the mimic.¡± The two stared at each other for a long time Until she said, ¡°Shut up.¡±
She picked up the dropped kobold sword and hacked at Bull¡¯s neck.

Bull¡¯s head rolled on the floor. Ling dropped the sword and wiped the sweat off her face. Exhausted she sat on the ground. ¡°So uncivilized.¡± she joked. Mic at some point already changed back into its handbag form and crawled onto Ling¡¯s lap.
¡°What the hell happened here!?¡± Rue yelled with Alin at her side covering his mouth. The whole area looked like some sort of blood orgy. There was not one area that wasn¡¯t covered. The mimic left whole halves of kobolds. Limbs scattered about, Bull beheaded on the ground, and Ling splattered with a copious amount of bull¡¯s blood.
Ling sat up and hysterically started to cry, ¡°T-there were so many kobolds here!¡± she continued to sob, ¡°I-I couldn¡¯t heal Bull enough times, so I had to defend myself!¡±
She got up and hugged the nearest person, which so happened to be Alin, the height difference was very well known by how she had to hunch over trying to embrace him. She balled even harder, in between gasps she spoke, ¡°I was¡.sooo¡ scareed!¡±
Alin looked to Rue, who shrugged. He awkwardly put his hands around her back. ¡°It¡¯s alright?¡± he said, trailing it like a question, ¡°We are adventurers stuff like this is bound to happen. We are all prepared for this.¡±
Ling wiped the tears away from her face and sniffled. ¡°You¡¯re right. I guess I¡¯m just not used to it, yet.¡± she agreed.
Alin broke the embrace and smiled holding the girl by the shoulders and shouted, ¡°Then let''s do our best and get out here!¡±
Rue coughed, ¡°But first, no more solo traveling or else we¡¯ll end up the same way Bull did.¡± The group synchronized nods.
Alin looked around, four different paths were open to them, two down the middle, and one each on both the left and right. ¡°Uhhh.¡±
Rue and Alin both took to a passage trying to peer into the darkness that awaited their
Mic extended a piece of its body, a tentacle with a mouth it whispered into Ling¡¯s ear. ¡°Really?¡± she whispered back. ¡°¡®Something interesting?¡¯ Alright, I¡¯ll try it.¡± Ling walked to the leftmost center corridor. ¡°Hey!¡± She yelled, ¡°Can we go down this one?¡±
Rue and Alin gathered at the entrance, and Rue was the first to speak.
¡°Why this one?¡±
Ling shrugged. ¡°I don¡¯t know, it just feels right?¡±
¡°¡®It just feels right?¡¯ What the hell is that suppose to mean?¡±
Ling shrugged again. ¡°I can¡¯t explain it; it just feels right.¡±
Rue lifted up hand and scrunched her face, ¡°I know it wasn¡¯t said, but we can¡¯t bet our lives on a feeling.¡±
Alin held up a hand to signify his interjection. ¡°Actually, Ling might be onto something.¡±
¡°You can¡¯t be seriously considering what she¡¯s thinking.¡± Rue scoffed.
¡°We made it this far because of Ling¡¯s intuition. Perhaps following it further might be worth it.¡±
Rue sighed. ¡°Fine, Ling, lead the way.¡±
Ling¡¯s face lit up with excitement as she embraced the small witch. ¡°Hey!¡± Rue shouted in irritation, ¡°get the hell off of me!¡±
***
¡°Look, I¡¯m happy that we haven¡¯t seen a single monster¡¡± Rue changed her pitch of voice, ¡°We¡¯ve been walking for a bloody hour!¡± The trio stopped walking while Rue continued to shout, ¡°I don¡¯t even think the dungeon is this long!¡±
Alin slid down the side of the wall and sighed, ¡°We can¡¯t just look at all the negatives, at least we know we can rest here to regain our ener-.¡± Alin stopped speaking as the floor beneath him began depressing until it became a pit sending the three of them falling to the floor underneath.
They crashed into a pool of water, the splash they created sent the most of the water onto the land.
Three wet adventurers now stood in the middle of a dark and dank dungeon. Alin wrung his robe out and looked up at the two soaked girls. Two mountains and four peaks each clinging to the cloth that bound them from the prying eyes of the world. His face began flushing with redness. The two girls looked over in his direction with wide eyes.
¡°Uhm. Alin¡± Rue said, ¡°Turn around.¡±
He stuck his hands out and shouted in embarrassment, ¡°I¡¯m so sorry, I swear!¡±
Rue sighed, ¡°Turn around, genius.¡±
¡°Alright!¡± He shouted. Immediately he came face to face with a sword impaled in the ground. It was encrusted with jewels and surrounded by coins as far as the base.
Adventures! 5
¡°What is that?¡± Alin questioned. The area around the sword was being distorted as if there was an invisible force emanating from it.
Ling¡¯s eyes sparkled as she stared at the sword in a trance. ¡°I want it!¡± She exclaimed in a monotone voice. She got up to run towards the sword, despite being wet and soggy. At this point, nothing could stop Ling on her quest to acquire this jeweled blade. Not even the yelling from her companions where enough to stop her. She stood just inches away from the sword if she didn¡¯t have figurative spit dribbling from her mouth, she had it dripping. She wrapped her fingers around the hilt. An extreme wave of pleasure began coursing through her body. A pleasure she¡¯s never felt before, not while she killed, nor pilfering small trinkets and gold coins from dead adventures. Thissword was an actual treasure, a relic, unique, one of a kind item that could only be obtained once and only once. Her heart began beating in rapid succession as she pulled the sword from its resting place. The ground held tight, but her obsession filled her with enough determination to give her a status boost to her strength. That was until Alin tackled her.
He had been yelling in her face as he laid overtop of her. ¡°Huh?¡± she questioned, the senses and sound rushed back to her.
¡°Do you know what you just did!?¡± Alin shouted, ¡°That sword was cursed!¡±
¡°Wha-¡± Ling felt something in her hand begin to feel off, and she lifted the blade into her sight. The entirety of the sword began to dissipate into dust in seconds. The jewels fell off and turned into stones; the hilt turned into a piece of wood. The illusion the false blade had over Ling disappeared the exact moment it disappeared.
She sat up sliding the boy down from her stomach and into her lap. Ling shrieked, ¡°I can¡¯t believe I fell for something like that! Me? Gah!¡± she furiously moved the wet hair from her face.
Alin noticing this drop in her character said meekly, ¡°Ling?¡±
Just then a loud cry for help came from across the room. The mound the sword rested in began spewing a large colorless gelatinous form, it barely could be seen by the naked eye, only those possessing an ordinary shifter skill that was known as ¡®True eyes¡¯ could make out even an outline of it. It undulated and squirmed in floating in mid-air as if gravity didn¡¯t apply to it. It surrounded Rue her pleas for help fell short, and the creature enveloped her erasing her anything that even existed in her proximity was gone entirely. A one-meter pit now was in place. The form-less blob shot straight through the wall, everything in its path just ceased to exist.
The two looked at each other in silence before Ling sent a fist into Alin¡¯s face. ¡°Get off me,¡± she demanded.

-5HP damage dealt to target.

Alin landed on his back and grabbed his face where he took the brunt of the hit. Ling stood over top of him tossing the mimic handbag to the side; it grew its spider-like legs and stalk eyes. It skittered across the floor inspecting Alin, who had been screaming at the sight of the monster. The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
Ling rolled her eyes. ¡°Oh please,¡± she sighed, ¡°man up, we¡¯re not going to hurt you.¡±
¡°H-how do I know that you won''t!?¡± he stammered.
Ling rolled her eyes again. ¡°If I wanted to hurt you I would have done it by know.¡± She pinched the bridge of her nose. ¡°Look, I¡¯m pissed off that I let my basic instincts get the better of me so here¡¯s the summary: We both know what you are, doppelganger.¡±
¡°H-how?¡± He continued to stutter, ¡°When did you find out?¡±
¡°Honestly,¡± Ling kneeled to face level with the boy. ¡°I knew the moment I met you.¡± Mic¡¯s several tongues flayed out from its mouth as he growled, ¡°Mic knew too.¡±
¡°But how!?¡± he raised his voice.
Ling replied, ¡°You can¡¯t trick a natural born shapeshifter.¡±
¡°Is that why you¡¯re so mad?¡±
¡°Damn straight!¡± Ling picked up a rock and threw it as hard as she could at the furthest wall, ¡°That goddamn...Whatever¡ made me feel like an idiot!¡±
Mic took up a spot next to Ling and stoically perched itself on a rock. Alin started to stand back up. ¡°What does this mean for me then?¡± He asked.
¡°Well, since your race is technically related to mine, wanna party up?¡±
Alin paused for a second thinking about the idea of doing so. ¡°Do I really have a choice?¡±
Ling put a finger to her mouth scraping the nail with her canine. ¡°No, not really. Since you we both technically have dirt on each other.¡±
Alin sighed, ¡°I guess I¡¯ll join you then. But, first off my name isn¡¯t Alin, its Ger.¡±

CONGRATULATIONS GER JOINED YOUR PARTY!
|
¡°Neat,¡± Ling said unenthusiastically. She got close to Ger and punched him once again in the face.
He yelled, ¡°Why did you hit me again!?¡±
¡°I¡¯m still pissed off,¡± Ling muttered under her breath.
¡°Anyway, what¡¯s the plan now?¡±
Ling pointed to the giddy mimic at the hole repeatedly telling them a way out. ¡°I suppose we get out of here.¡±

Mic scurried around the room eating the possessions of the now deceased party members. Ling had crossed her arms and sat on one of the multiple beds. While Ger stuck things in a travel bag.
¡°Do you have to bring all that stuff along?¡± Ling sighed.
¡°Yes!¡± Ger declared, ¡°What else would I do without clothes and food?¡±
¡°You¡¯re a shapeshifter and a monster. Just eatsome human flesh.¡± Ling retorted.
Ger looked over in disgust. ¡°That¡¯s disgusting, besides I can¡¯t change as quick as you.¡±
¡°Huh? Why?¡±
¡°It takes three days for me to change.¡±
Ling¡¯s lip curled in disgust. ¡°You can¡¯t be serious. That¡¯s incredibly stupid.¡±
¡°Yeah well, I also take a portion of the stats of whatever I copy, so it not so bad.¡±
Ling laid on the bed with her head facing the door, ¡°If you say so.¡±
There then was a knock on the door, a rather loud and affirmative bang. Ling got up and looked at the door than to Ger. ¡°Do you have any more party members?¡±
Ger looked at her nervously. ¡°No...we shouldn¡¯t have anyone visiting us.¡±
