《Reborn in MHA》 Chapter 1 - The Process of Wish Granting ''Uhhh what the fuck...? Did I actually die by getting hit by a truck--Wait! If it was a truck and I''m still thinking, doesn''t that mean I''m about to be reincarnated!?'' before I could continue with my mental process, a booming voice spoke out. "I don''t know who this Truck-kun you keep thinking of is, but I assure you, that isn''t why I picked you," his booming voice came from every direction and to be honest I couldn''t pinpoint where he was but I did hear a slight murmur, "...Who''s this Truck-kun and why do people keep trying to get it to reincarnate them?..." I timidly looked around the dark space and barely got my voice together to ask a question, "Uhhh...Hey. You wouldn''t happen to be God by any chance, would you?" my voice sounded a bit shaky and the way I spoke oozed with disbelief at the situation. ''Maybe I''m hallucinating? I guess that is a probable thing when you get hit by a truck and go into shock...right?'' his earlier joy had faded and his skepticism crept in and started to take away from his belief that fan-fics and novels could be correct, ''Well, skepticism aside, I really hope I''m not making this up in my head...'' I felt a shiver go through my body, or whatever I was right now, and I couldn''t help but urgently look around waiting for the voice''s answer to my earlier question. I didn''t have to wait long. "I am A God, yes. But I''m not The God all you humans keep praying to," the booming voice took on a more jovial tone as it started laughing. The boisterous laughing seemed like it would pop my eardrums but it abruptly stopped before anything like that happened, "Anyway, onto why I''ve brought you here..." the voice''s tone switched back to seriousness and I couldn''t help but get excited. ''Am I about to be told that I''m the chosen, a dragon among men, that I''m the only hope for a certain magical world full of beautiful, well-endowed women who will fall for me!?!'' my excitement went through the roof but before it could reach the skies, the voice spoke again. "I''m bored." "I''m the chosen on-- Eh?" my face, if I still had one, was deadpan as I looked at the white figure materializing in front of me, my excitement at my larger-than-life responsibilities being ruthlessly torn apart by two words. I looked at the figure and realized it had turned into a rather androgynous person that was both beautiful and handsome, depending on what gender you were. So I, as a man, saw this androgynous person as rather beautiful but that beauty was ruined by the booming voice still coming from their mouth, "I''m bored and I picked you from the recently deceased souls. You had some interesting stuff in your head so I wanted to see what would happen if I granted you a few wishes you''ve been keeping in the darkest parts of your mind." I couldn''t be sure but I thought I saw the slightest bit of teasing on their face when they mentioned my secrets and I couldn''t help but feel my face become hot, ''Goddamn...they know some pretty embarrassing shit about me then, don''t they...?'' My embarrassment didn''t last long, however, as I finally got my brain working and realized what they said, "Wait a minute! Did you just say you''d grant me a few wishes!?" my earlier excitement came back in full force as I rushed up the God in front of me. When closer, I could make out the God''s features I bit more clearly. Blonde hair which reached their shoulders, luscious locks that looked exactly how you''d expect waterfalls of gold to look like. The God''s blue eyes were deep, like, very deep. I could feel myself losing myself in them but not in a romantic way, more like ''I''m an inferior ant looking into a T-rex''s eyes and it could kill me easily'' kind of way. The God wasn''t too tall, only about 5''8" and as I saw before, it''s features and build were truly androgynous. Seeing my excitement, the God had a weird sparkle in their eyes before answering, "Yes, but it must follow my guidelines - So no omnipotent powers that would make you a God, okay~?" for some reason, the God seemed to relax immeasurably and started to act like some kind of teasing older sibling. But that didn''t matter to me and I rapidly nodded my head, pleading the God to carry on speaking with my eyes. The God saw my eyes and shook their head with mirth in their eyes before carrying on, "Okay, calm down, let us sit first," the God waved their hand and two chairs and a coffee table appeared next to them. I did as I was told and quickly sat down on the surprisingly comfortable chair. When I sat, I finally realized that I hadn''t looked at my body yet. So I looked down and saw my body was made of a slightly translucent white energy, ''Figures...So this is what a Soul looks like, huh?'' I didn''t panic as I looked at myself. I didn''t do what so many others would do mainly because what was the point? Sure, I could scream and cry, or even have a mini-tantrum at the God in front of me but, again, what was the point? I was about to get wishes granted to me by a God - Possibly even a Devil, who knew - and one of those wishes could be to be reborn. Well, that''s only if that''s not part of the deal already, which is pretty unlikely. "Hmm, you seem oddly calm about the fact that you don''t have a body...Why is that?" the God seemed curious as it wasn''t the first time it had seen a person look at their body and see their soul. I went on to explain my reasoning and the God let out a jovial laugh why covering their mouth. It was only after a while that it stopped laughing and even then its eyes were still full of laughter, "You truly are interesting...I wonder if my Sister Fate had anything to do with my picking you?" the God looked at me with a discerning eye before slapping themselves on the forehead, "Ah! Nevermind that, let us discuss your wishes!" My body, or should I say soul, started to heat up in excitement as I started to unconsciously jitter my leg up and down. I looked at the God, all my focus locked onto that androgynous face.Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator. "The guideline I have is that you pick a world - Any world, whether it be from fiction or even one of the presets I can provide to you," the God took a few breathes, letting me absorb the information I was hearing. Before long they carried on again, "Then depending on that world, you will get to pick a power, maybe even a few powers. Then you will pick your appearance, your family background and even the time you will be born if you pick to be reborn into a world of fiction," the God looked into my eyes before question me, "Do you understand what my guidelines are?" seeing me nod, the God had a slight smile on their face, "Good, now where do you wish to be reborn?" This question sent me into a spiral of thought, ''Where do I want to go? Hmm, somewhere with plenty of beautiful girls and an interesting power system...Don''t exactly want to go to any Dark Worlds where everything sucks ass like in Berserk...Wait, I''ve got it!'' "I wish to be reborn in the My Hero Academia world! If you require any info on it, just look in my memories!" I beamed a smile while thinking about the fun I''m going to have in that world. The God looked at me and shook her head at my helping hand, she obviously searched for all the information she needed as soon as I spoke the name, maybe even when I thought of it. "Your power, or should I say Quirk?" the smirk from the God had me wondering if they were maybe a fan of the show or something but I dismissed the idea when I thought about it. ''A God wouldn''t watch anime like that, right?'' my thoughts quickly moved away from joking as I seriously thought about what Quirk I''d want, ''If anything, I want One For All but I can''t take away Deku/All Might''s power, right? So, I guess I''ll have to make up a Quirk similar to it...'' I continued to think for a while, leaning back into the chair and looking at the dark abyss above before it finally came to me. "So, I know it''s a bit of a big ask, but can I have two Quirks?" I looked with hopeful eyes at the God in front of me. Hearing my request, the God went into a pondering of their own. But it took considerably less for them to think up an answer to my question than it took me for theirs. "Yes, but if they''re too powerful I''ll have to put some restrictions on them. That sounds fair, right?" I could only nod as it really was a fair trade-off, "Then what are these Quirks you want?" I took a deep breath, even if I didn''t need to, before I spoke, "The first Quirk I would like is called [Bodily Booster], Its power is that it makes the bodily systems grow at an advanced and unnatural pace, becoming stronger and better as I grow older and my body matures. Oh, and I can speed it up by working out, the only trade-off being that it takes some really intense training to improve myself once I hit a certain limit. All in all, it would allow me to go past the Human limits with enough training and time." I cautiously looked the God in the eye, wondering what they thought about my power. But it seems my cautiousness was unneeded as the God was smirking at me, "And I guess your second Quirk is something similar to One For All, right?" this caused a nervous laugh to escape my mouth as I scratched the back of my head. "Was it that easy to see through my plan, God-sama?" despite my nervousness, the fact the God was smiling calmed me and allowed me to joke like this. "I am a God, child, I''ve seen many schemes and you didn''t really try to hide it," the God''s smile turned into a short chuckle before they continued, "So, what would this Quirk be called and how would it work?" "Well, as you said, God-sama, it would work pretty much like One For All. I would just temporarily enhance either my entire body or certain parts of it," my nervous smile spread even further, "and like OFA the strengthening scales off of the bodies already present durability and strength. More physical strength and durability means more of an increase from the Quirk, while also minimizing the damage the body takes, that kind of stuff," I went to stop but suddenly realized I''d forgot something, "Oh and it''s called [Reinforcement]." Again, I looked anxiously at the God in front of me but they just smiled, "That''s fine. I don''t mind this level of strength as you will need to put in work to gain the full potential of these powers and I don''t want to watch a weakling, you need to be strong for this to be exciting~!" hearing the God''s words make me let out a breath of relief. If the God was one for the rules, they most likely wouldn''t let me have those two Quirks as they made quite the combination. The God waved their hand and a notebook appeared in front of them. They grabbed it and wrote some things down with their index finger. I guess they''re writing down my quirks so they don''t mess up the reincarnated process, so while I was waiting I looked around the dark room. There was nothing in it but the looking served its purpose as a distraction and before I knew it the God spoke again, "Okay, now, think of the appearance you want when you''re fully grown and I''ll make it so you have a baby version of it." Following what the God said, I started to imagine what I wanted, ''Blood red hair, royal blue eyes...Incredibly handsome, yep...Tall, hmmm, around 6''3"...and masculine looking, no trap shit here...'' my thoughts were flying around in my head thinking of how to make my perfect body and before I knew it I was finished and God let out a small laugh. "Ohohoh, you''ve made yourself considerably well-endowed, no?" I felt my face burning up as they mentioned this but hey-ho, he didn''t want to disappoint his future wife, "And I must say, you have made yourself very handsome. I''m going to have to keep Venus'' and Freya''s eyes away from you in this world otherwise they''ll eat you up! Hahahaha!" again, my face felt like it was approaching supernova levels of heat but I powered through it. "I don''t mean to be rude, God-sama, but can we hurry this along maybe?" my embarrassment was practically leaking out of my words and this only caused the God to laugh even more before they motioned their hand for me to carry on. "Okay, then I''d like to be born into a considerable rich family and I''d like to be born around the same time as Midoriya Izuku the protagonist of this world. Whether I''m a few months older or younger doesn''t matter, just make sure I can be in his class when he joins U.A," the laughing had stopped by now and the God was jotting this down in their notebook, "Is there anything else, God-sama needs from me? Or can I be reborn now?" "Just let me get this last bit done..." the God quickly moved their finger across the page, "...Annnnd! Done!" the God didn''t give me any warning and I felt the darkness around me open up like a big hungry mar and swallow me whole. It didn''t hurt and it just sent me to sleep. ''Now''s the time to discover whether that person was a God or a Devil...'' and within seconds I was knocked out. Little did I know that when I left, the God''s figure slowly changed. They got a few inches shorter, their hips widened and their flat chest and butt explosively expanded. Their facial features became much softer and lost all masculinity, becoming the epitome of feminine beauty. What was left was a 5''5" blonde bombshell of a woman who looked where the Soul just was with a red face and a seductive smile etched across her face, "I know I said I''d protect him from that bitch Venus and my wonderful self but why did he have to show me such a manly site~? He can only blame himself if I eat him up~" the God, or Freya, felt a shiver go through her body as a similar black maw swallowed her whole and sent her on the same path as the previous soul. Chapter 2 - Life so far 5 years later~ I sat on a small seat as I felt a gentle hand scrubbing my back. My red hair was wet and fell across my eyes causing some discomfort, which adding to my already nervous feelings caused me to practically slap it off of my forehead, slapping myself in the process. Seeing my frustration, a calm and gentle voice spoke out behind me, "Eh, Ta-chan what are you doing that for? Are you nervous about your birthday?" as I listened to the voice, my shoulders slumped slightly. "Yes, I am Mom. You and dad didn''t need to invite all the big heroes to my party, neither did you have to invite all the rich families in the area..." my annoyance which I was trying to hold back lashed out slightly and I heard a slight sigh behind me. "Ta-chan!" I felt my mother smack my shoulder, albeit playfully, "All you do is study and do that silly quirk training with your father, you need to socialize!" I went to interrupt her but I got another smack which was slightly harder this time and I could feel the air heating up around me, "Don''t push your mother, Ta-chan! I might not be a Hero like your father but I''m not weak!" Hearing her, I couldn''t help but shiver at the earliest memory of her getting mad when dad and I destroyed one of her new vases, "I get that mom, but still--!" my voice was cut off by my mother pulling me back into her for a hug. "You''re so clever Ta-chan but sometimes you can be so dumb...You know I worry about you, right? You need friends your age and this is a chance for you to do so," he felt guilt building up in his gut from making his mom worry but he pushed it down, "So, just do this for your dear old mom, alright Ta-chan?" I nodded my head and even without turning around I could feel the smile radiating from my mother''s face, ''I really am a mommy''s boy, huh? Guess that''s to be expected since I''ve never had a mother before...'' he dismissed the distressing thought and stood up, "I''m going to get ready then, mom. See you in a bit!" I smiled at her and rushed out of the bath. "Stop running in here!" I heard her shout after me before another shout came my way, "And you better wear the suit I brought for you! Or else!" feeling the shiver go down my back, I steeled my resolve and grabbed a towel before wrapping myself in it and rushing to my room. It had been 5 years since I was reborn and I''d been born to a lovely couple called Mika Yamamoto and Takashi Yamamoto. Mika was the heiress of a multi-billion yen company which sold just about anything. From super durable clothing for heroes to microwaves, the Hero Company did just about anything if they could gain a profit from it. She had a quirk that allowed her to control the heat in a 10-meter radius around her but despite her potential as a hero, she became a businesswoman instead. And a good thing too, she was a business genius. Oh, and she was also where I got my red hair from, genetically at least. Now, onto my father Takashi Yamamoto or better known to the public as the Enhancing Hero, Upgrade. He held a Quirk which allowed him to temporarily strengthen the bodily systems in his, well, body. This allowed him a multitude of abilities, a few of them being Regeneration, Super Strength and Immense Reflexes. But when he wasn''t out kicking villain ass, he was a goofy dad who loved his two children and would do anything for them. And speaking of my dad-- "Ah, Tatsuya! I''ve been looking for you," a tall man with black hair and blue eyes walked up to me with a toddler in his arms, "Can you look after your sister for a little while, I need to ask your mom something," I rolled my eyes at the pleading man but I couldn''t help but smile at the trust he had in me despite my young age. It had to be known that even at my age I was stronger than the average adult due to my body having been passively upgraded over the years by my [Bodily Booster] quirk. But even then, it didn''t matter about my strength, a five-year-old is still a five-year-old. So seeing my dad recognizing my maturity was nice. Little did I know that my dad was just an idiot and thought strength was equal to intelligence so he could hand my sister to me and because I''m as strong as an adult, I should be as intelligent as one, right? But I didn''t know this and I just nodded with a bright smile on my face, "Of course I can, dad. I''ll look after Ayako, you can count on me!" puffing out my chest, I felt big brother pride filling me, ''Oh no, I couldn''t possibly be a sis-con, right? Right?!'' Despite my rigorous mental troubles, I held my arms out and took my 2-year-old sister off of my dad. Despite me being 3 years older, she was still quite big for a 5-year-old to carry and the slight must have looked quite comical. "Thanks, Tatsuya, I''ll come to get her from your room when I''m done!" with this, dad practically disappeared making me wonder when my eyes would upgrade to the point when I could see him moving at that speed.Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences. I looked down at the black-haired, red-eyed toddler in my arms before smiling, "Okay, Ayako-chan, come with big bro to his room and if I finish getting changed before dad gets to my room, we''ll play, okay?" my words seemed to light a flame of joy in my sister''s eyes and she vigorously nodded her head. She didn''t speak because her quirk made speaking a bit difficult for her. More specifically, difficult for those around her. You see, Ayako''s quirk was a mutant quirk which allowed her to project soundwaves and shockwaves out of her mouth. The strength varied and for the most part dad and I could withstand them but when she was around average people without any physical training like mom or some randomer, her voice could easily burst their eardrums. This was why she had been taught not to speak until she could control her quirk. She was an incredibly clever kid and despite him being a reincarnator she even gave her big brother a run for his money, so she picked up on the lessons and performed them brilliantly. As such there hadn''t been an accident for a while. Anyway, getting this out of the way, I started walking back to my room after letting Ayako crawl like some kind of monkey onto my back. The house I lived in with my family was understandably quite big but with my enhanced 5-year-old body, it didn''t take long for me when I jogged my way. I entered my room and saw a spacious room with a double bed in it. But the most striking thing was the hero merchandise collection covering the room. It was to the point where if he showed it to Midoriya Izuku he''d probably faint from envy. All Might figurines and posters covered half of his walls while the other half was covered by figurines of his dad and also posters. He not only loved his dad, but he also respected him. Immensely. He saw videos of his dad holding up tons of rubble just to save a people, but one especially stood out to him. I remembered first watching it on the news like it was yesterday. My father stood in front of a gigantic villain and had a blue glow around his body, his hero costume was torn in places and blood poured from his body. He stood in front of a group of civilians - children, men, woman, old people, you name it - and each and every one of them was shivering from fear. But not his dad. No, his dad had the brightest smile he''d ever seen on his face. A smile so bright that it burned itself into his retinas. He wanted to be a hero from the start, this smile only strengthened it. Of course he respected All Might just as much, he was the Number #1 Hero after all - even above his dad who was the Number #2 Hero - it was just that he knew his dad personally, so it had a much bigger impact on him. Especially when he remembers how goofy his dad was usually. Shaking my head, I knock myself out of the nostalgia and walked over to my bed, "Ayako-chan, come on off of me and sit on my bed for a little while," Ayako did as I said but that didn''t stop a little pout from appearing on her face. I shook my head in mirth as I saw her before walking over to my All Might wardrobe. It was pretty much a life-size version of All Might posing with his hands on his waist. I could almost hear the "I AM HERE!!" as I looked at the wardrobe. ''Wait--! I don''t think I imagined that!'' I rushed over to my window and saw a tall, impossibly muscular man walking through the front gates of the house. The man had two blond bangs which were shaped upwards and looked suspiciously like bunny ears. Words failed to form in my mouth as I felt my knees go a bit weak. Imagine you''re about to meet your hero, a person you''ve admired for all your life or at least a majority of it. Their influence on you has shaped how you are in more than one way and you would love to meet them. Now, picture that feeling...and make it a hundred times more intense because meeting them in real life is much more daunting than you''d ever imagine! Especially if they were an Anime Character in your past life and you never properly prepared yourself to meet them! I know my dad is one of my biggest heroes but that''s my dad, he''s a big goofball and I see him on a daily basis. This is All Might. A-L-L M-I-G-H-T! Before I passed out from fanboy syndrome I quickly rushed over to my wardrobe and tore out the suit my mother brought for me. I threw the towel off of me in a dramatic way causing my little sister to quietly giggle and even then the soundwaves shook my window like it was going to break it. But right now I was too focused to care and I threw myself into some underwear before practically throwing the suit on. It was made up of red slacks, a white dress shirt, a red tie, and a red blazer. The entire suit went well with my blood red hair and made my blue eyes stand out even more than they usually do. I knew I probably looked good but I rushed in front of my mirror to make sure I did. I stood just shy of 120cm, probably around 119cm, which was considerably tall for my age and because of my body-centric quirks my body was incredibly well-proportioned. Along with my adorably handsome face, even at 5, I could probably be called a future lady killer. I quickly slipped on the red dress shoes that came with the suit and I quickly rushed over to the window. I saw my Father bear hugging All Might off the ground with a goofy smile on his face and I could hear the boisterous laughter booming from the two of them from here. They looked to be incredibly good friends and I could understand why - they were both quite goofy when compared to most pro-heroes who are quite serious about everything they do. I looked at my little sister, "Ayako, do you want to go meet All Might!?" I pointed at the figurines around my room for context. You know, just in the abysmally low chance of her not knowing him. Her eyes went wide and she rapidly shook her head up and down. I quickly picked her up and whispered, "[Reinforcement x2]..." my body was instantly covered in an array of red vein-like lines which arranged themselves in a weird way before I shot out of my room at an abnormal speed. I didn''t worry about my sister as although she hadn''t acquired a physical-based quirk, she''d inherited our fathers weirdly hardy constitution just like me. And besides, we were off to meet the Number #1 Hero, she wouldn''t complain about me going fast so we could meet him sooner. The joyful light in her eyes like she was enjoying the speed was also a big reason I didn''t slow down with my running. I pushed my muscles further as my excitement grew into a slightly manic smile. I couldn''t believe I was about to meet All Might! Chapter 3 - I AM HERE!! for your birthday party! I rushed through the hallways, down the stairs, flying through the air like some kind of rabbit on drugs. And I felt like it too. There wasn''t any way to explain how fun it was to be stronger, faster and just overall better than a normal Human, physically at least. In my past life I was pretty geeky, so I didn''t have much athletic ability - not saying you can''t be geeky and like sports at the same time, this is just how it was for me - so to get thrust into this life where even in my base form as a child I was stronger than Olympic-level Humans in my past life, it was exhilarating. Also, incredibly convenient when you need to rush to something. "Ah! I''ll be back in a minute Toshi, I''ve got to go get my daughter and son, they''ll want to meet you!" I heard my dad''s casual voice turn urgent when he remembered he''d left Ayako with me. ''*Sigh* What am I gonna do about this dad of mine?...'' despite my complaints, a smile adorned my face and I chuckled as I sped up more, causing my little sister to giggle. Luckily there wasn''t anyone about. "Well, it seems like you won''t have to, Takashi! I can hear Young Tatsuya running hear right now!" All Might boisterous voice was loud from afar and behind a window, up close it could only be described as obscenely loud. Nonetheless, I''d expect nothing else from him. Something I loved about him back in the show was that he could be both serious and a complete comedian. He wasn''t only strong, he was a real people''s person. ''Being able to calm down a distressed civilian is a valuable asset for a pro-hero and All Might could be considered the best!'' my fanboy syndrome fueled my speed and I rushed over the balcony. It may have seemed dangerous but I was currently 2 times stronger than something that could be considered Peak Human. I could easily absorb this shock and not take any damage. My little sister tightened her arms around my neck like two snakes and began to giggle again. I was glad that despite her being quiet, she wasn''t timid and seemed to be just as much as a thrill-seeker as me and dad. "Wow!" "Tatsuya!!!" I heard two voices. One surprised and laughing and the other seemingly furious but also having a weird sense of...pride? I shook my head and focused my Reinforcement on my feet and legs. A low bang resounded when I landed along with my sister''s giggling. I don''t know if it was because of my Reinforcement but I didn''t feel anything from her giggles. Maybe it was one of the rare times when she had her Quirk under control? But before I could think any further I felt a swift smack to the top of my head, "Tatsuya, you idiot! Why can''t you take the stairs like a normal person!?" feeling my dad''s worry warmed my heart but I still felt indignant. I only felt indignant after what he said next, "What would you do if you hurt my precious Ayako-chan!?!" ''It''s always annoying being the first born child...'' I glared up at my old man before smirking, "Hmph, you''re just jealous because Ayako-chan likes me more than you, old man~" my childish tone caused booming laughter before I felt a gigantic hand pat my shoulder. "Now now, Young Tatsuya, he''s only worried about you and Ayako-chan," I looked up at the smiling giant in front of me and felt my mouth open and close for a while like a fish gasping for water. ''Oh god, it''s even worse than I thought...My fanboy syndrome is clogging up my brain...!!'' as I mentally tried to get my mouth into gear, All Might saw my expression and started laughing again. "Hahaha! Young Tatsuya, don''t worry, I AM HERE!! for your birthday party!" hearing him say his line I felt like I was ready to die. The bliss I felt as a fanboy was unparalleled but I couldn''t stop myself from laughing as I heard him switch from his more boisterous hero persona to his more restrained persona which he usually used around Midoriya in the show. Back to my father, I felt Ayako crawl up onto my shoulders and starting to pat my head gently, obviously thinking dad''s earlier smack had hurt me. I saw my dad go pale and I looked up to see Ayako glaring at him with a pout on her face. I smirked and teasingly looked at my dad, "See, dad? Ayako-chan''s on my side!" my words seemed to make an arrow go through my dad''s heart. He looked ready to cry blood. "NOOOO! AYAKO-CHAN!!" my dad''s face became teary but we could all tell he was only messing around, so we had a good laugh about it. Apart from one person. "Dear?" a cold voice came from behind me, contrary to the surrounding area becoming hotter. I started sweating but I didn''t know whether it was because of the heat or my fear for my mother who''d just spoke, "Why are you making such an embarrassing sight in front of Toshi and the Kids???" I turned around and I swear to God (or Gods) that I saw my mother''s eyes light up red like some kind of Demon King character from a Shounen Anime. I looked over at All Might who was also nervously sweating. Both of us made eye contact and nodded at each other, an understanding between kindred spirits; Runaway and abandon dad/Takashi to his doom. All Might, I and Ayako on my back all slowly slipped away. Not like my dad and mom didn''t notice but my dad was too busy trying to placate his wife to worry about the ''betrayal'' he''d just experienced and my mom wasn''t angry at us so she let us go. We went to the dining room where maids and butlers were rushing around setting up food. I looked around the massive room and saw the usual table where he and his family ate was gone. Instead, multiple long Tables were spread throughout the dining room and they were stacked with food which made my mouth water. ''Oh god, it''s back again...'' feeling my stomach growl I thought about one of the bad things in this new life; My absolute gluttony. As you might expect, your bodily systems upgrading constantly took a lot of energy. So I had to replenish that energy every day, plus the energy I spend on training with dad, and this made it so I had to become a glutton. But I had to put my voracious appetite aside for now and wait until the party started. "So, Young Tatsuya, you''re display earlier was brilliant for a 5-year-old, even with a Quirk!" All Might smiled down at me and we sat on some seats next to us. Hearing his praise filled me with joy and caused me to smile at him. "Thanks, All Might! But still, it''s nothing compared to what you can do..." my voice slowly fell away as I remembered some of the feats All Might did in the MHA series. All Might seemed to mistake my remembrance for self-doubt and he ruffled my head with his oversized hand. This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there. "Don''t say that, Young Tatsuya!" his boisterous voice caused more than a few maids to jump up and nearly drop the trays and platters in their hands, "I got where I am now through rigorous training, so if you want to be like me, all you need to do is train!" his smile was bright, like a confident sun if that made sense. Even if it didn''t, it filled me with confidence even if I wasn''t doubting myself. What? It always helps to get encouragement. I looked up at All Might, feeling my confidence gathering in my eyes, "Mhm! I will All Might, I''ll be stronger than you!" my declaration seemed to stun everyone in the vicinity, even All Might. They couldn''t decipher whether this was my true goal or whether I was just overly excited. My answer would probably be that it''s a little bit of both. Anyway, All Might soon broke out of his stupor and started laughing. So much so that tears started to collect in his blue eyes, "Ahh!~ Young Tatsuya, I''ll leave it up to you then," he clasped my shoulder in his hand, "To become the next Symbol of Peace, that is!" ''......'' I felt my mind short-circuit as I heard him say this. His words seemed to just click something in me like the words were a cog I''d been missing and now that the machine had this cog, it could finally start working at max-power. Whether this was purely a mental thing or not, I didn''t know. What I did know, however, was that I really was gonna aim to be the next Symbol of Peace with everything I had. I knew I had a long way to go - an unimaginably long way to go - and I knew All Might''s ''rigorous'' training was much more intense than he made it out to be but I didn''t care. I''d achieve it. Whether it was a childish dream or not, I''d achieve it. Suddenly, before I could sink further into being a fanboy, I heard a tired voice behind me, "Toshinori, what are you doing influencing the youth like that? He''s 5!" I felt the voice was familiar and when I turned around I was shocked. "Gran Torino!" "S-Sensei!" my voice was full of joy while All Might''s voice was completely full of anxiety and even maybe a little bit of fear. I knew what happened between them when Gran Torino trained All Might so I wasn''t too surprised by it but Ayako who was now sitting on my lap was curious on why All Might was scared of an old man. "You not gonna give me an answer then, huh, All Might?" Gran Torino smiled a little bit but I could feel that it truly wasn''t a smile, "You might be the Number #1 Hero but remember who trained you in combat!" his voice caused a shudder to go through All Might while I and Ayako laughed at it. Ayako''s Quirk activated and a few glasses next to us pretty much exploded. I saw some shards heading straight for her eyes and I quickly cast reinforcement on my arm, shielding her from the glass. "Argh!" a sharp intake of air came across as a harsh hiss in everyone''s ears, instantly catching everyone''s attention. My arm was covering Ayako''s eyes and she kept trying to see what had happened but I wouldn''t let her. If she saw that she''d indirectly hurt me it might cause some kind of trauma and she might not speak or make a noise ever again. I couldn''t let her do that to herself. I looked at my arm and saw 4 shards of glass firmly stuck in my reinforced arm, ''Tsk, even when I was reinforced the glass cut through me like butter. Ayako''s Quirk will be super strong when she learns to control it...Good, I''ve always wanted to save the day with my little sis~'' Despite my joyful inner thoughts, the pain was cascading up and down my arm. I felt I was lucky that I''d took the blazer for the suit off when we sat down, otherwise mom would kill me. Ayako was getting incredibly restless as she kept trying to move her head to see the other side of my arm. Why she didn''t use her hands to hold my arm still was beyond me, maybe she was treating this as a teasing game or something. It didn''t matter to me as long as she didn''t see it. All Might and Gran Torino looked at me with shock and worry in their eyes but I signaled them with my eyes to not say anything and just leave it to me. The maids and butlers got the same message from my eyes and stood back. But at the first sign of any real trouble, they''d step in. "Ayako, let me cover your eyes for a minute, okay?" hearing my words, Ayako shook her head left and right, knowing that I was up to something. I sighed and tried again, "If you let me cover your eyes I''ll get you that strawberry cake you love so much, just don''t tell mom and dad, okay?" her body went rigid when I said this, obviously enthralled by the idea of strawberry cake. Soon after she nodded her head and I covered his eyes with the hand on my injured arm. Quickly, I grabbed the first shard of glass and slowly pulled it out, not wanting to leave any glass bits inside. The pain was something else but I didn''t make a sound. Any sound of pain I made would only unsettle Ayako. Again, All Might and Gran Torino looked at me with shock in their eyes and felt slightly unsettled themselves. They couldn''t believe a five-year-old could be so calm about pulling the glass out of his arm, even to the point where he didn''t make a sound despite the pain he must be feeling. But at this point, they could feel the pure selflessness in the boy''s actions. The trait only a hero could have. I, on the other hand, wasn''t thinking about that, but more along the lines of stopping the bleeding. I thought in my mind on what to do and instantly the idea came to me, ''It''s still a bit experimental but I should be fine...should be...'' "[Reinforcement: Regeneration x3]..." I whispered in the lowest possible voice. It was the annoying thing about the quirk; I had to say what I wanted. I had started making some progress on only using mental commands but it required much more thought than just saying it. But still, I was making progress and in not too long a time, I should be able to sort it out. I saw the cut on my arm quickly stop bleeding. It didn''t heal but it was enough for now. So I continued to take the other 3 out before I waited for the wounds to heal up a bit more. I looked over at All Might, "All Might, can you look after my sister while I go change my shirt?" I had a slightly tired smile on but it was a happy smile; I''d done what I needed to do without hurting Ayako''s feelings. Being knocked out of his stupor, All Might quickly nodded his head and I passed her over before quickly slipping on my blazer and smoothly putting the shards of glass into my pocket, "Well, I''ll be back in a minute Ayako, don''t make any trouble for All Might, okay~?" I pat her little head before jogging off leaving All Might and Gran Torino who looked at each other with strange looks. I made it to the hallway when I heard a loud voice behind me, "Wait up, Young Tatsuya!" I turned around and wryly shook my head. All Might had run after me, presumably after giving Ayako to Gran Torino. I stopped and waited for All Might and when he was in front of me, I innocently looked up at him, "What do you need, All Might?" I put on a smile as well, hoping he wasn''t here to question me. But those thoughts were dispelled when I felt his hands clasp onto my shoulders, "Well done, Young Tatsuya!" his voice was filled with admiration as he thought how he wished he was as strong-willed as Tatsuya when he was younger. I became a bit embarrassed and felt my face heat up from the praise, "Uhh, it isn''t anything too big. It''s something I have to do anyway..." my voice trailed off as I thought about my family. All Might looked at me confusedly, "What do you mean, Young Tatsuya?" he crouched down so he was more on my level and looked at me with eyes filled with the intent to know what I meant. I let out a small sigh before looking All Might in the eyes, my sapphire blue eyes staring into his electric blue eyes. "I''m her big brother and she''s my little sister. It''s my duty as the big brother to always stand tall in front of my sister no matter what happens, even if the pain hurts so bad I wanna cry, I need to look strong for her!" I clenched my fists as this wasn''t just my feelings on my sister but for my whole family and the relationship we all have. I''d look strong for them even if the world was falling down around us. The determination and pure tenacity in my voice seemed to surprise All Might and he even started to subconsciously smile. He''d definitely found someone with the potential to become the next Symbol of Peace. All Might thought Tatsuya''s dreams weren''t so hard to achieve when he heard him say this. As he already has a worthy quirk, he just needed the ideals. And he had them. Chapter 4 - Family After my chat with All Might, I quickly rushed to my room as he went back to the dining room. I entered my room and felt glad All Might wasn''t with me. Having him see all the merch I own would probably be incredibly embarrassing even if it''s to be expected of a kid. Anyway, like before I walked up to my wardrobe and opened it, taking out a white dress shirt to replace my torn and slightly bloodied one. I took the blazer and shirt off before slipping into the new one. Feeling the fabric travel over the scabs of the recent injury didn''t feel very comfortable but knowing I protected my sister helped me push through it. What was a little pain when I saved Ayako''s cute red eyes, right? Sighing, I put the blazer and tie back on before I jogged back to the dining room. Unlike the journey to my room which was interrupted, this journey didn''t take very long and I made it back in no time. When I arrived I saw that my mom and dad were there, speaking to All Might and Gran Torino. Nobody noticed I''d arrived, or at least I thought that was the case. I chuckled when I saw Ayako''s bad form as she ran at me, seemingly not caring about the fact she was about to fall over because of how bad she was at running. Still having reinforcement active, I rushed to her side and picked her up. "What are you doing running, Ayako? You need to learn how to balance yourself properly if you''re gonna be doing this~" my teasing tone didn''t seem to affect her and she simply wrapped her legs and arms around me like some kind of octopus. ''Ahhh~ Seems like she knows I got hurt somehow and this is her trying to say sorry...'' I let out a discrete sigh before rubbing Ayako''s back, "Hey, what''s up Ayako? Was Gran Torino mean to you or something? I can beat him up if you''d like~" Ayako instantly started shaking her head, denying my helping hand. But that didn''t stop Gran Torino from speaking up. "Ahh? You think you could take me, kid?" Gran Torino let out a hearty laugh as he looked over to us, "Well, I''ll let you have the first hit but after that don''t blame me if you get hurt!" his jovial tone made everyone other than All Might laugh. "S-sensei, he''s just a kid, he was probably joking!!" All Might''s worried voice was heard among the laughter but no one really listened; they knew the what Gran Torino''s training did to him. My dad swung his arm around All Might''s neck and shoulder, "Calm down Toshi, Gran Torino-sensei is also joking~" he laughed at his gigantic friend before looking over at Tatsuya, "Where did you have to go?" he had a curious look on his face as he remembered that Tatsuya came with All Might to the dining room before him. All Might, Gran Torino and my mom all looked at me. The formers wanting to see whether I would say the truth for praise or whether I''d just push it under the rug like some kind of low-key protagonist. I was probably going to go with the latter of the two options. "Ah, I had to go to the toilet," I innocently smiled and scratched the back of my head in mock-embarrassment. Gran Torino and All Might had knowing smirks on their faces, while my mom and dad just went ''Ahhh'' before going back to talking to All Might and Gran Torino. I felt Ayako pinch my back but I ignored it, laughing in surprise to how intelligent she was, "Haha! What are you doing, Ayako? I truly had to go to the toilet~" this got me another pinch but I found out something; teasing a younger sibling is great. I walked back over to my family and the pro-heroes I was quickly becoming acquainted with. We all sat around the table, talking and waiting for the party to start. Back when I was in the bath with my mom, it was around 4:00 pm and by the time the incident with Ayako and the glass happened, it was around 4:30 pm. My party was scheduled to start around 5:00 pm so like I said, we continued to chat for a while. "Ah, Tatsuya, why don''t you ask Toshi and Gran Torino-sensei for some tips on how to use your Quirk better? I know you train a lot with your father but it''s always good to splice in other people''s views, right?" my mother swept some of her red hair behind her ear before smiling sweetly at me. I had to admit, my mom really was a beauty, ''How did dad get with her???'' I thought this jokingly as I looked at her features. She was quite tall for a woman at around 5''11" - just shy of my dad''s height which was 6''1" - and her figure was incredibly womanly with curves in all the right places. If Ayako turned out to be anything like her, dad and I would have to make a truce and fend off the hordes of males courting her with lethal force. Thinking this I let out a laugh before nodding, seeing the firm look in my mom''s eyes I knew this wasn''t up for debate. The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation. She seemed to support my want to be a hero and was sometimes more firm than my dad in forging me into a hero - take now as an example. Shaking my head, I looked over at All Might and Gran Torino who were speaking to each other, "All Might, Old Man, do you have any tips you could give me on how to use my quirk better in a fight?" I saw All Might smile at me and also saw Gran Torino''s temple twitch a little. "Of course, Young Tatsuya!" "Listen here you little brat--!" two voices right next to each other but they couldn''t be any more different. ''Oh, the joys of being a kid. Being disrespectful to your elders isn''t nearly as taboo as it is when you''re older~'' I got up and switch chairs so I was next to them. Ayako was still latched onto me, so I had to adjust myself for a while so both of us could be comfortable. "Then what do you suggest?" I looked up at the two of them with a serious expression on my face. Seeing it, the two of them looked back at me with equal looks. "Well, kid, you''ve got to tell us about your Quirk first," he looked at me like I was an idiot before carrying on, "Ahh~ If what Toshi''s told me is correct, you should have an Enhancement kind of Quirk, right?" I nodded and explained to them how my quirk worked. Well, the basics at least. Both of them looked at me with strange looks for a while before Gran Torino looked at All Might, "Oi, Toshi, isn''t that like--" "Yeah, it''s like OFA," All Might leaned over to me and spoke, "Young Tatsuya, is there a limit on how much you can ''Reinforce'' yourself?" hearing his question I nodded. "There is a limit, yes, but all I need to do is make my physical body stronger to withstand the stress of the temporary upgrade!" I puffed my chest out in determination, trying to at least act somewhat like a child. All Might and Gran Torino shared another look before All Might let out a sigh, "It really is like my Quirk...Hey, Young Tatsuya?" hearing the question I looked at him, "What''s your limit right now?" Knowing I could trust the two of them, I quietly said, "I can multiply all of my body''s abilities by four but that''s my absolute limit as it feels like my body''s about to be torn apart," both of them looked a bit bewildered, "What?" was all I could say seeing their faces. Gran Torino got involved this time, "So, you''re saying that you used 4x your current strength to survive jumping off a balcony that was 15ft of the ground?! But you''re a 5-year-old! Even a 5-year-old with 4 times their strength wouldn''t be able to do that!" Gran Torino was about to go on but my dad joined in. "Ah, I get what you mean Gran Torino-sensei but Tatsuya''s a real monster when it comes to his physical body," this gained the two pro-heroes'' attention and they looked at my father, inciting him to continue, "You see, Tatsuya has two Quirks. [Reinforcement] you know about but his other Quirk [Bodily Booster] is why the former is so strong. It pretty much makes all the bodily systems in his body grow stronger and better as time goes by and as he trains they improve at a faster pace," my dad had a proud smile on his face as he continued, "Everything from his Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Systems to his Bone and Muscular Systems are pretty monstrous for a 5-year-old!" What my dad said caused both All Might and Gran Torino to look at me like I was some kind of hidden gem worth millions. I sighed and decided to knock them out of it, "Hey! So is there any advice you can give me?" Both of them embarrassedly laughed when they realized a child had to bring them out of their stupor. Gran Torino thought for a little while before speaking, "It''d be best if you learn a martial art or two and dedicate yourself to them. Put with your power, you''ll soon be a force to be reckoned with," he looked at me with a smirk before teasingly saying, "You don''t want to end up like Toshi here who screams Smash all the time~!" "S-sensei, those are my special moves..." All Might weakly said while my mom and dad had a good laugh about it. Meanwhile, I was nodding at what Gran Torino said. I''d been thinking of getting a martial arts teacher for a while seeing as my mom and dad could pay for the best of the best. But hearing the way Gran Torino put it really steeled my resolve to do so. When I was mid-way through thoughts on what martial art to use, All Might spoke up trying to ignore the laughter at his expense, "Young Tatsuya, you should also look up the proper way to exercise, you don''t want to stunt your growth or waste your time on useless exercises. I can send a person your way, they should be able to whip up a diet and a workout plan which would suit your age while also helping you improve as much as possible! What do you say, Young Tatsuya!?" I looked gratefully at All Might, "Mhm!" I nodded my head enthusiastically which only made All Might smile even wider. "Good! Good! I can''t wait to see how strong you can become, Young Tatsuya! And don''t forget, I''m waiting on you to become the next Symbol of Peace!" All Might joyfully pat my head but the moment was ruined when an aggressive voice was heard. "Hmm? Do you think that boy can beat my own in the race to surpass you? Hmph! Keep dreaming, All Might. Shoto, come!" I felt dread and couldn''t believe my parents would invite this man to my party. A part of me kept denying reality, saying I was imagining this but when I turned my head and saw him, I couldn''t deny it anymore. A tall man with red hair and blue eyes came into the room. His body was bulging with muscle. Not as much as All Might but definitely enough to show that he could easily out-do any bodybuilder in my past world. Following behind him was an absolutely beautiful white-haired woman who had metallic grey eyes. She was, like I said, a very beautiful woman but she looked incredibly timid and drawn into herself as her shoulders hunched inward, like she wanted to be as small as possible. Next to her was a single child - a boy. His hair was really peculiar as it was a 50/50 split between white and red. It was the same with his eyes, his left eye was blue like his father''s and his right eye was grey like his mother''s. The boy was Shoto Todoroki, the woman was Rei Todoroki and the man was Enji Todoroki. But to me, they were Cousin, Aunt and...Uncle, respectively. God, I wish I hadn''t asked for Red Hair and Blue eyes or at least specified that I didn''t want to be related to a prick like Enji Todoroki. ''Uhhh...I can already tell that this party''s gonna be annoying...'' letting out a sigh, I smiled at my cousin and Aunt, signaling them to come over. Chapter 5 - Meeting New People Rei and Shoto saw my smile and came over. But that wasn''t before I saw the flinch from both of them. ''...It''s started for them, hasn''t it...?'' a sigh escaped my lips even though I didn''t want it to, ''That bastard''s training of Shoto and his physical abuse of Aunt Rei...If only I was strong enough to kick his ass...'' I bit my lip, feeling the anger building up inside of me. I may be a reincarnator but that doesn''t mean I don''t have feelings. Experiencing this life and remembering all those novels with Mc''s who were calm no matter what makes me laugh at how bullshit it truly was to think that I could be calm when people I''ve grown up with are getting treated like this. But mainly my anger was pointed towards my own looks. Let''s just say the Todoroki looks are very genetically dominant within me and apart from looking more like my dad than him (and being much superior in terms of handsomeness), my appearance is very close to Enji''s. As in I have red hair, blue eyes and the typical Todoroki sharp and angled face that Shoto seemed to be missing. ''No doubt this will cause trouble in the future between me Shoto and Aunt Rei...'' I felt a pit open up in my stomach but I kept a smile on my face. The best I could do is show a face Enji never did; Happiness. "Tatsuya-chan, you''ve grown since I''ve last seen you and as I guessed, you look much more handsome than before," Rei smiled at me but I could still see the subconscious wariness she had. I didn''t let it bother me and instantly walked up and hugged her, "You''re as beautiful as always, Aunt Rei!" I felt a gentle and slightly thin hand ruffle my hair. Rei laughed as she looked down at me, "Haaa~ So young and yet you''re already a smooth talker, Tatsuya-chan," she mentally chided herself for thinking this cute child could be anything like him, similar appearance or not. "Tatsuya!" I felt a figure throw themselves at me and hug me with all their strength. Obviously, it was Shoto. I separated myself from Rei and hugged him in return, "Shoto! How''ve you been cousin?" I really had missed my cousins and knowing what he''d been through recently, I knew I needed to give him at least some kind of solace. I don''t know whether it''s because I''m related to him, I liked his character in the show or maybe even both of those reasons, but I wanted to help him along his path. Not changing it completely, just acting as a support along the way. The journey makes the man after all. Despite knowing his answer, I still asked it. Shoto shook a little and I saw Rei worriedly look at him but he quickly broke through it, "I''ve been training my Quirk...I want to be a Hero after all..." his voice was slightly timid, unlike the cold and indifferent Shoto of the show. "Ohh! I''ve been training as well! Want to show each other our progress!?" I broke away from our hug and tried to inject some energy into him. It seemed to work because, despite his slightly red eyes, he shook his head up and down very vigorously. I saw Rei smile at me and from the knowing tint to it, she knew what I was up to. All she didn''t know was that I knew why Shoto was unsettled and timid. "Tatsuya-chan, I''ll come with you to watch over you two, okay?" Rei didn''t exactly look comfortable in the same place as Endeavor, so she wanted to come along. I, of course, nodded my head in agreement. The three of us walked up to my mom and dad who were casually chatting with Endeavor. "So, Enji, how''s the Hero work going?" my mother looked over at her brother with a curious light in her eyes. But before he could answer and started ranting about how he''d become the best, I cut in. "Mom, dad, uncle, me and Shoto are going to go outside and show each other our Quirks and our progress, okay?" I put on my best innocent smile and puppy-dog eyes, "Oh and Aunt Rei is coming to look over us so we''ll be fine, don''t worry!" My mom wanted to disagree at first but seeing my pleading eyes and Shoto''s red eyes, she said yes. Plus she trusted Rei to keep up out of trouble. My dad laughed and felt glad that I at least had one friend to hang out with. Endeavor being the grumpy bastard he is, just grunted but he did seem mildly interested in me and my Quirk. Not in a platonic ''You''re my family, I''m a changed man, and I wish to take interest in something other than myself'' kind of way but more of a ''You might be competition'' kind of way. Rei and Shoto, getting the go-ahead, quickly walked away from the group, heading for the outside. I didn''t blame them and soon followed, not wanting to be in the same room as Endeavor as he made me angry to my very core. What I forgot about was that All Might had been next to me on the table all along and he just sat there, awkwardly smiling to himself, "Was I just completely ignored?..." Meanwhile, in the front courtyard, me and Shoto we talking about pro-heroes while Rei watched over us with a warm smile. "So, Shoto, how much power can your Quirk put out?" I asked absentmindedly as I look at the sky. Shoto walked in front of me with a rare smug face and held both his hands up. One hand started to flame up before becoming a small blaze across his entire hand and the other hand started to let off an incredibly cold mist. "I can go even further but I''d ruin my suit if I did..." Shoto looked embarrassed when his mom started clapping and I looked at him in surprise.Love what you''re reading? Discover and support the author on the platform they originally published on. ''I didn''t expect him to be this far into his Quirk at this young...Despite it being nothing compared to when he was in the show, this power is enough to completely outclass normal people...Lucky I''m not normal then~'' I also let a smug look come over my face, "[Reinforcement x4!]" I went all out as I crouched to the ground before jumping straight up in a vertical line. "Woah!" was all both Rei and Shoto could say when they saw how high I could jump without a run beforehand. Let alone Rei I could probably jump right over All Might with this height. Right now I was about 11ft in the air which may not seem like much but it''s just above 3 meters which is surprisingly high. ( Author note: Get a tape measure and look at 3 meters, it really is surprisingly long.) Now, this wouldn''t be so impressive if an Adult with an enhancement Quirk had done this but seeing as I had only just turned 5 today, this jump height was something that couldn''t be done by most, if not all 5-year-olds. I landed with a small thud before releasing the reinforcement. I looked over at the stunned Shoto and Rei. Seeing their faces, a smirk traveled onto my face, "Hm? What''s wrong you two? Never seen such a genius before~?" my teasing seemed to snap them out of their stupor and they both looked at me with different looks. Shoto looked at me with awe and admiration, while Rei looked at me with a strange look. What I didn''t know was that she was furthering my image away from Endeavor despite my appearance. "Tatsuya! You''re so strong!! How much did you train to get where you are now?!" Shoto started to fire questions at me with machine gun speed, causing sweat to collect on my brow. ''He''s really interested in strength, isn''t he?...'' I let out a sigh and heard Rei''s stifled chuckles. "Tatsuya-chan, you really are strong. Plus your handsome appearance, you''ll definitely be a popular hero when you grow up~" hearing her teasing, I felt my face burn up a little. It''s not every day a beautiful woman like Rei teases you like this. "Hmph, stop teasing me, Aunt Rei!" I put on a fake-pout and turned my head away from her. She chuckled even more at this, completely failing to stop it from coming out. Rei walked over to me and ruffled mine and Shoto''s hair up, "You boys have really cheered me up!" "Eh? You were sad, mom?" Shoto looked worriedly up at Rei who dismissed his questions with a smile. I just looked at her and felt glad that I could make such a troubled woman smile and even feel an iota of happiness. Suddenly they heard a timid voice behind them, "Uh--Uhh, excuse me...m-my name is Momo Yaoyorozu...My mother said I should come and congratulate Yamamoto-kun..." her eyes looked a bit nervous but there was definitely some awe in there as she had obviously seen the jump he''d just done. Rei turned around and when she saw Momo she covered her mouth a little as she gasped at how cute Momo looked in her black and white dress, "Hohoho, it nice to meet you Yaoyorozu-chan," she smiled mysteriously, "I''ll leave you, kids, here, but don''t stay here too long and Tatsuya-chan!" my attention was immediately on her, so she carried on, "Look after Shoto and Yaoyorozu-chan, okay?" I subconsciously nodded and before I knew it Rei was gone and there was only us three standing around. Shoto was hiding behind me, obviously shy about meeting a new person. Seeing this, I let out a small sigh before walking over to Yaoyorozu with a small smile on my face. Even though I knew she''d grow up to be a beauty, even just looking at her cute appearance now I could tell she''d be a beauty who could start wars. "Hello, Yaoyorozu-chan, my names Tatsuya Yamamoto, it''s good to meet you!" I held my hand out in a friendly handshake and she timidly took it. I smiled at this and snaked my arm around to my back before pulling Shoto from behind me, "And this is my Cousin! Shoto, introduce yourself!" my firm voice made him feel indignant but he got on with it anyway. "H-hello, my name''s Shoto Todoroki...it''s nice to meet you..." he stuttered his greeting before slowly falling back behind me again causing me to sigh. "Sorry, Yaoyorozu-chan, Shoto''s a bit shy..." I smiled wryly at her with an apologetic look on my face. She quietly nodded her head before the conversation went quiet again. ''Arghhhh! Why are kids so difficult!?!'' despite my mental annoyance, I calmly spoke, "We were just discussing our Quirks, Yaoyorozu-chan, do you want to join in?" I questioned her, wondering if her resolve to be a hero was apparent yet. Her eyes seemed to light up and her reserved look went out the window as her eyes lit up like stars, "Mhm! What Quirks do you two have?" she walked much closer to the two of them, obviously interested in learning more about them and making them her friends. I then went on to show her some stuff I could do with my Quirk. She''d already seen the jump, so I showed her how fast I could sprint, how I could pick up both her and Shoto like they weighed nothing and also how I had the balance, dexterity, and strength to hold my body up with one finger. By the end of it, she was in awe of my Quirk''s physical capabilities. Also, Shoto slowly came out of his shell as he saw the conversation between the two of us and saw that Momo was a nice girl. When he showed her his quirk, she looked like she was about to explode with awe from the two of us. This in awe and hyper look slowly deflated as she talked about her own Quirk. "All I can do is make things from my fat...But you two both have such good Quirks for being a hero..." I saw the tears building up in her eyes and felt my heart ache for the kid. I know how it is to doubt yourself and how bad it feels when you meet someone you think is ''superior'' to you. That''s why I had to help her through it. "Yayorozu-chan, what are you talking about?!" my sudden outburst knocked her out of her self-doubt as she looked at me with wide eyes, confused on what I was on about. Nonetheless, I carried on, "You could use your Quirk to save a lot of people! All I can do is beat up villains and Shoto could beat up villains and maybe warm you up on a cold day of cool you down on a hot one," Shoto pinch my back, "What I''m trying to say is; What if there''s a gas attack? or a chemical attack? I can''t punch the gas and Shoto can''t burn it or freeze it, but you, Yaororozu-chan, you could create gas masks for everyone and keep them safe!" My words seemed to have stunned her for a minute before her eyes went completely teary and she threw herself at me in a hug, "Thank you, Yamamoto-kun!" as she thanked me I pat her on the back, wondering if I''d taken away Shoto''s future limelight. After a while, Momo let go of me and wouldn''t look me in the eyes. ''Oi oi, isn''t this behavior way too mature for a 5-year-old??? Why are you averting your gaze, Momo? We only hugged! And very briefly at that! Aren''t kids supposed to be more innocent!?!'' my inner lamentations caused me to sigh for the umpteenth time today before I looked at the two kids next to me. "We should probably go inside now, the party should be in full swing soon and I''m getting pretty hungry," as if to agree with me my stomach growled quite loudly causing Yaoyorozu to giggle and Shoto looked at me in disbelief, obviously remember the last time he saw me eat. Nonetheless, despite their reactions, all three of us walked back to the front door of my house. Chapter 6 - Birthday and Request It didn''t take long for us to get back to the dining room and it took even less time for us to here boisterous laughter and yelling. I felt my face drop into minus temperatures as I sped up my walking. Shoto and Momo saw my expression and felt a bit of fear from it but they quickly followed behind me. Entering the room I saw All Might sitting down with a plate on his lap. The plate looked incredibly small compared to his massive size and it was completely packed high with sandwiches. In front of him, I saw Endeavor looking like a totum of fire, glaring down at All Might. "You bastard, do you think this is all a joke?!" Endeavor''s flames got wilder but luckily Rei was standing nearby right next to my mom and they were both stopping the heat from traveling too far from him, stopping the possibility of a fire from happening on my birthday. Which I was grateful for. "Endeavor, you need to calm down, it''s a birthday party! Have some fun!" All Might put his plate aside before standing up and clapping Endeavor on the shoulder, obviously unfazed by the red and orange flames around the glaring man. All Might looked behind Endeavor and saw the three of us who''d just entered the room. I smiled awkwardly at the sight I was seeing and he replicated it as well, obviously trying to apologize for the problem he was involved in. I looked to my left and saw that Shoto was shaking and couldn''t lift his gaze from the ground even despite knowing All Might was there. I looked over at Momo and saw she was practically the same. I let out an annoyed sigh, "Uncle, what are you doing ruining my birthday party?" my voice came out slightly colder than I wanted it to but I didn''t really care. But this wasn''t the same for others as nearly everyone looked at me. I could see the surprise on their faces when they looked at me, a child who could speak in a cold voice and didn''t seem like a kid at all. Endeavor spun around and looked down at me, "Stay out of this, brat. This is between me and All Might!" his flames got even more intense. ''I wonder what pissed him off this time?'' after mentally wondering about it I shrugged it off and looked up at him. Despite his glare and the flames flowing out of him like a fiery tsunami, I wasn''t scared. All Might, nor my mom or dad would let him get within 10ft of me if he came at me with intent to harm. "But it''s my birthday, Uncle, can''t you do this in your private time? You''re making a bit of a scene..." my voice trailed off as I saw his flames start to die down. He was still glaring at me but a semblance of respect was in his cold eyes. He seemed to respect that I didn''t back down. He grunted, "I''ll listen to you this once, nephew, just keep that bumbling fool away from me and I won''t need to get angry at him," he stormed off to another table and sat himself down with a loud thud, the wooden chair barely being able to take his bulky figure. My mom had an awkward smile on her face and rushed over to Endeavor to speak to him. My dad, however, treated it as if nothing had happened and started to goofily smile while talking to All Might who did the same. Rei and a tall black-haired woman looked over at me, Shoto and Momo. I guessed that the black-haired woman was Momo''s mother and I could definitely see where future Momo got her good looks and mature figure. I went to walk over to them but I noticed that Shoto and Momo were still scared stiff from earlier. Both for entirely different reasons that stemmed from the same thing; Endeavor being an ass. Sighing, I tried to comfort the two of them but it didn''t have any effect. Thinking for a while, I decided on a way to get them to snap out of it. "Come on, you two, let''s go over to your moms!" I grabbed each of their hands and clasped them firmly before using my inhuman strength to drag them over. What? Brute strength can be used to solve most situation~ Shoto, feeling my hand seemed to relax as he realized he wasn''t alone and his gaze left the ground and he looked over to his mom. Momo, however, kept her gaze on the ground even when she felt more relaxed. Mainly because as soon as she relaxed she thought about Tatsuya holding her hand and it sent her back into being rigid as a statue. Both Rei and Momo''s mother let out chuckled behind their raised hands as they saw this. In truth, they were just about to go over and console their children but it seemed that their worries were useless with Tatsuya there. This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. I brought the two kids to their mothers and received plenty of praise and head pats from the mature beauties. ''I would be lying if I said I didn''t enjoy those head pats immensely...'' shaking my head from my inner thoughts I started to talk with Shoto, Momo and their mom''s while we waited for the party to fully start. . . . As I had expected it didn''t take long for loads of people to arrive and for my body to be buried in presents from all sorts of rich people and pro-heroes who were friends with my mom and dad. I knew I wouldn''t like most of the presents - they were presents for a 5-year-old after all and despite me loving my family and this world, it didn''t mean I had to love being a 5-year-old - but I still received them with a smile on my face. This gained me a lot of compliments about how handsome I was, which only went to inflate my ego even more but Ayako and Momo were both there to pinch me back into modesty. Plus, Shoto being there also helped dampen it as he was also a potential lady-killer just like me, his wonderful cousin. During this time, nothing big really happened other than Momo and Shoto realizing that All Might was here and getting incredibly excited and hyper. I took them over and introduced him and All Might muttered something about not being ignored anymore, but I ignored him and let Momo and Shoto fire question after question at him while I played with Ayako. Ever since I came back inside and started talking to the others, Ayako would leave my side for some reason. Not that I really gave it mind, I was just curious to why she was so attached to me at the moment. After a while of partying, eating abnormal amounts of food - which got me more than a few weird gazes - and playing about with Momo, Ayako and Shoto, the party was over and it was incredibly uneventful for the most part. Shoto and Momo were incredibly reluctant to leave, especially Shoto. But they couldn''t stay over because Shoto had ''training'' tomorrow and Momo had etiquette lessons to complete. This aggravated both of them to no end and it even annoyed me a little - I wanted to cement myself as a friend in their lives but with families like ours, we were constantly being pulled apart to do one thing or another. ''Nonetheless, I''ll always try and help them...Shoto especially. He''s family after all,'' letting out a smile as I waved off Momo and Shoto, I turned around to see my mom and dad looking at me. "What?" I asked them with a raised eyebrow. They were looking at me with weird expressions and I was curious to why. I wish I hadn''t been curious. "I''m just surprised you made a friend," came my dad''s response, which made a vein appear on my temple. While my mom came up and ruffled my hair, "Haa~ You''ve already got me such a cute daughter-in-law, I''m so happy I could die~!" the vein on my temple pulsed even harder. I looked at my mom with a twitching eye. ''Is there a brain in your head or is it just completely hollow in there?...I''M.5.YEARS.OLD!!'' seeing my glare, my mother just laughed before ruffling my hair more thinking that I was embarrassed. This happened so much that I don''t even try to fix my hair anymore, it''s in a permanent messy, wild state. Before I could get any angrier and give my mom a piece of my mind, she came and unlatched Ayako from my back. Ayako had already fallen asleep and had a small smile on her cute face. Said smile disappeared, replaced with a pout when my mom took her away, "Come on, Ayako-chan, let''s get you to bed~!" ''...I''m beginning to think my mom''s an airhead...'' I let out a laugh. Despite being annoyed slightly by her behavior, I wouldn''t have it any other way. This was my family and I loved them all dearly. While I was deep in thought, I felt a hand rest itself upon my shoulder, "So, Tatsuya, what''s your request this year? Last year it was Quirk Training with me, is it going to be another thing no normal 5-year-old would ask for?" I snapped out of my thinking and looked up at my dad''s goofy smile, feeling a smile spreading on my own. "Well, if I''m not normal, you''re to blame - I am your son after all~!" I let out a laugh before thinking about what I wanted. This was a custom in our family. The parents would wait for the day of our birthday to come and instead of getting us a present beforehand, they would ask us what we wanted. It could be any toy we wanted or it could be a specific request. I usually went with requests. Suddenly, I knew what I needed when I remembered my earlier conversation with All Might and Gran Torino, "Dad, I want you to get the best Martial Arts teacher you possibly can for me, okay?" I saw my dad''s smile like he knew it was going to be something like this. He let out a low chuckle before speaking again, "Yes, my son, I can do just that. Do you have any specification on what kind of martial art?" he smiled down at me, looking weirdly proud that I had such a drive to get stronger. Going back into deep thought, I started to ponder on what I wanted from a martial art and which one could give me what I wanted. ''I want power, but I also want speed and flexibility...I guess I''ll ask my new master what he can teach me...he just has to be strong,'' I can out of my inner thoughts and looked up at my dad, "Well, other than him being strong in all areas and being an incredible martial artist, I don''t mind which kind of martial art. As long as he can make me stronger, it''ll be fine~" I said this to my dad before walking past him and toward the stairs, I was feeling quite tired. Behind me, my father was coldly sweating, "Haaa~ Why do you always make such requests, Tatsuya?..." and so started my father''s search for the best martial artist he could find. Little did I know that I''d really dug my own grave on this one. Future me looked back on this ''mistake'' with regretful eyes, thinking ''Ignorance is bliss~''. But I didn''t know any of this, I was busy falling asleep into my comfortable bed. Chapter 7 - Teacher A week after my party, I was sitting in the living room, watching Tv and waiting, when my dad entered the room with a smile on his face and two people next to him. The first one I recognized instantly. He was tall and slender, had black eyes and matching long hair which was equally as messy as my own. His eyes were half closed and I could see the blood vessels threatening to pop in his eyes from here. His face seemed stuck in neutral and he had uneven stubble growing on his face. ''Shota Aizawa...how did my dad convince him to come and train me? He''s a lazy bastard...'' my lip twitched when I remembered how much of a hardass he is on his students, ''I''ve really done myself in here...why wasn''t I more specific...!'' Aizawa looked at me and I saw his eye twitch in annoyance, "Did you just think something bad about me, kid?" I felt cold sweat on my back when he said this. ''Is he a psychic or something???'' I shook my head, ridding myself of those thoughts - mainly in case he was indeed a psychic - and put on an innocent smile, "Nope, I was just wondering if you''re the one who''s gonna teach me how to fight!" I felt equal parts excitement and dread when I thought about how Aizawa would probably be completely ruthless. But I''d asked for this, so I had to go through with it, right? Aizawa just let out a small grunt before looking over at my dad and nodding, seeming to signal that he''d train me. My dad laughed before grabbing Aizawa and taking him somewhere. But not before he turned back and looked at me, "Stay and chat with Chiyo, she needs to do some tests on you!" and with that my dad dragged the tired-looking Aizawa off. I looked over to the other guest and she felt familiar. When I really looked at her face, or more specifically the mask she was wearing, I nearly let out a scream. Silvery white hair, tall curvaceous body, and a beautiful face, if I was older I''d probably have to put a book on my lap. She was wearing a white lab coat which hung loosely from her toned body. But under it was what caught my attention - a tight-fitting dress with a design of two stripes of orange covering a third of each side of the dress, with one white stripe going down the middle of the dress separating the two orange ones. She had thigh high pink boots with raised heels on her perfect legs. I was genuinely stunned by her. Don''t get me wrong, I''d seen plenty of beautiful woman in my time alive in this world. My mom and Aunt Rei would be brilliant examples. But the difference with this one was how she was dressed - she dressed like she was trying to brag about her curves and hot body. Seeing me looking dazedly at her, Chiyo laughed, "Oh? What is it, boy? Are you stunned by my beauty?" I damn near subconsciously nodded my head out of pure honesty before I stopped myself and looked up at her. "Why are you here, Chiyo-neechan?" I saw happiness flood her face when I used ''-neechan'' and knew my plan was a success - more mature women like to be recognized as younger, I guess it makes them feel more beautiful - but what I wasn''t expecting was for it to be too successful. Before I could react I was pulled into her bountiful cleavage and was being slowly suffocated. ''...I could deal with dying like this. Let''s just sink into this softness...~'' before my wish could come true I felt myself being picked up, carried and then placed on Chiyo''s lap. "You might know who I am if I tell you my hero name," she looked proud as she puffed out her chest like a kid proud of passing a simple test. Obviously, it was a much better sight. I looked up at her with a fake-curious expression. I already knew who she was but it''d be best to play along. "What''s your Hero name, Chiyo-neechan?" I saw another flood of happiness - Is she really this easy to please??? - before she looked down at me with a gentle smile. "I''m the Youthful Heroine [Recovery Girl]!" I put on a fake surprised and excited look and even went as far as gasping in ''surprise'' causing her to chuckle at my cute appearance. Meanwhile, I was laughing in my mind. ''Isn''t she suspicious that I knew the name but not the look/costume? Or is she too happy with my attention and fawning that she''s ignorant to the obvious??'' I shook my head before I spoke, "Wow! You''re Recovery Girl?! That''s amazing!" "I know, I know," Chiyo seemed to want to continue to bask in my praise but she suddenly realized something, "Ah! I almost forgot I''ve got to do those tests on you!" she reluctantly took me off her lap and placed me next to her before she got up and walked to the door, "I won''t be long, wait here Tatsuya-chan!" and then she was gone. Fortunately, I didn''t have to wait long before she returned with a bag and a technologically advanced looking device which looked like the metal detectors they use on you at airports. If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. "Okay, Tatsuya-chan, stand up, I''ve got to scan you and do some medical tests before I can fulfill your Father''s and All Might''s wishes!" I did as she was told although I was pretty confused about what she meant by "your Father''s and All Might''s wishes". I didn''t mind it and stood in front of her looking up. "Chiyo-neechan, what do you mean my dad''s and All Might''s wishes?" I tilted my head, obviously going for cute factor knowing that she seemed too weak to it. It''s obvious to say but it worked. Her face spread in a happy smile as she looked at such a cute kid. ''Did Recovery Girl teach Midnight how to be a pervert? Or did Midnight and Recovery Girl merge together in this world? And why''s she so young!?!?!'' as I was mentally questioning everything, Chiyo started to explain to me what she was here for. "I''m here because All Might said you needed someone to fix up a special diet for you so you max out your potential as a youth. I''m also going to come here when Shota does so I can heal any injuries you receive from the training...Oh! And Shota''s here because he''s the one who''ll be taking over your combat training - which you already knew - but he''ll also be making the workout plan to go along with my special diet and medical results about your body!" I nodded my head at what she said. She was a doctor and she did work at U.A so I guessed it made sense for her to be the one who All Might was speaking about when he mentioned a person he knew. Chiyo lost her smile and replaced it with a serious and stern expression, "Now, Tatsuya-chan, stand completely still with your arms raised, okay?" Seeing me nod, she started scanning. This was the start of multiple tests. Some I knew and others I didn''t but from what I gathered, she was trying to see the limits of my body and what areas I was weak in and what areas I was strong in. But a surprise for her when she compiled all her results together was that-- "Your body''s too strong! Everything''s strong and nothing falls behind!! How?!?!" Chiyo looked at the cute kid in front of her with completely wide eyes, surprised such a monstrous physique was even possible without the activation of a Quirk. Suddenly there was a voice behind them both, "What''s wrong, Recovery Girl?" Aizawa''s voice caused Recovery Girl to spin around to face him at breakneck speed. "This new student of yours is a complete monster! Under such a cute exterior he''s--" she was silenced by Aizawa''s capture weapon floating up and wrapping its way around her mouth. Aizawa ignored her glaring and simply stared at her with his indifferent eyes. Seeing she wouldn''t get to speak about it, she walked up to Aizawa and slapped the results into his chest while staring at him with aggression in her eyes. Aizawa grabbed the results and released Chiyo from his capture weapon, she went to have a go at him but she felt someone tug on her coat, "It''s okay now Chiyo-neechan, right? He let you go, so let him off this once? For me?" I looked up at her with my practiced puppy eyes. I swear I saw hearts in her eyes for a moment. But shrugged it off as the visor in front of her eyes messing with my vision. I couldn''t blame the visor, nor did I want to, for what happened next. "Ah~! Tatsuya-chan!" I was dragged once again into heaven by Chiyo which caused my dad to chuckle. While Aizawa glanced, shook his head and got back to reading the results. After a while, I was released and Aizawa was standing in front of me which shocked me. Normally I wouldn''t be shocked, but right now I saw something genuinely scary; He was grinning like crazy. For a lazy bastard like Aizawa to be wasting precious energy by smiling like a madman, it meant that he''d found something that had thoroughly enthralled him. But this didn''t scare me nearly as much as what Aizawa next. "Haha! Good, good, you should be able to withstand the Aizawa Limit Break Training on Very Hard Difficulty! I''ve got to go call my dad, he''ll want to train you as well! Haha!" Aizawa had a mad grin across his face, surprisingly not only me but also my dad and Chiyo. They both knew I was strong for my age. Impossibly strong for my age, even. But they''d seen this man fall asleep and feel indifferent about an innumerable amount of people, things, and situations, so they expected him to treat the little monster in front of him no differently. What they didn''t know was that Aizawa and his father were looking for a person to inherit their end result in making their own martial art but sadly, no one could make the cut. Some of the contenders were strong and big but they lacked speed and flexibility, others were the complete opposite - no one could inherit the full thing. But if these results were right, hidden within their 5-year-old in front of him was the successor he and his father had been waiting for! A well-rounded child! It also helped that despite being well-rounded, all of his physical specs were indeed quite abnormal for a child. Without waiting for anyone to speak, Aizawa took out his phone and rapidly dialed a number which picked up near instantly, "I''ve found the one, father!" I heard some loud yelling on the other line and saw Aizawa excitedly nod his head a few times. ''This has got to be the most emotion I''ve seen on his face, even when I read the manga or watched the anime he didn''t have this much life in him...'' I felt completely shocked by what was happening in front of me but I kept up the facade of an innocent child and just stood near Chiyo who was the embodiment of my inner turmoil. "Why''s he so excited...? I get that Tatsuya-chan''s great but is there a need to change this much, Shoto?..." she muttered to herself, not knowing I was wondering the same thing with her. Suddenly, Aizawa put his phone away and looked at me, "Kid, get your shoes on, we''re going to meet my old man so he can test you!" I looked at my dad who looked at me with a ''Have a nice time~!'' expression on his face, then to Chiyo who looked at me with a smile saying ''I''ll come along to protect you!''. ''Why is no one questioning or trying to stop this?! Dad, come on, you can''t be that much of an idiot, right?!'' despite my protests, I trudged away with Chiyo, Aizawa and my dad following behind me. I quickly put my shoes on and waited for Aizawa to do the same. All I could do while waiting was think, ''Why wasn''t I more specific about the martial art...?!'' Despite my mental whining, deep down a fire was lit inside me. I really wanted to know what this test was and to see if I qualified for the Aizawa Limit Break Training that was set to Very Hard Mode. Chapter 8 - Test I was currently on Chiyo''s lap as she treated me like some kind of cat and kept stroking my head. What I asked her what she was doing all she said was ''I''m just trying to keep you calm for the test~!'' which definitely wasn''t what she was doing... Anyway, on the way to Aizawa''s father, I had talked to Chiyo and even Aizawa on the way to pass the boring journey. We talked about a multitude of things but really, I was just asking them about their experiences as pro-heroes. Chiyo was more than happy to brag about her exploits. Aizawa either nodded or grunted at my questions...even if that didn''t answer them. Nonetheless, it completed it''s objective as the car slowed to a stop outside what looked like an ancient but very well-kept dojo. Aizawa looked back at me as he got out, "Hurry up, kid, my father should have the training equipment ready by now," I nod my head and got off Chiyo''s (soft) lap and out of the car. Chiyo followed shortly after me and we both followed Aizawa through the giant black dojo doors. Inside, the dojo looked just as old as the outside but still, it looked incredibly well-kept. The floor was incredibly solid as well, I could feel the firmness with every step. You see, the problem with being incredibly strong is that you start to outgrow the strength/durability of the materials or objects around you. I, on one hand, couldn''t crush concrete with just my steps but wood was a different matter. If I put enough strength into a reinforced step, I''d go straight through most wooden floors. This is why I could tell how strong this floor was - I could stamp on this wooden floor all day and the only thing breaking would be my foot and my self-confidence. Back to the real world, I was following slowly behind Aizawa before we walked through a door and into a massive courtyard. In the middle of it there was an old man with his eyes closed but even then I was absolutely terrified of the man. The aura pouring out of him was so violent and aggressive, it was like some kind of battle-loving Asura had come and plopped themselves in front of me. Despite his obvious old-age, he still has midnight black hair, in a messy style that seemed genetic for Aizawa''s, along with a well-built body which seemed to still be in the prime of his life. The man in question let out a deep breath before opening his eyes and smiling at me, "So you''re the students he''s found?" before I could answer, either by speech or by nodding he rushed at me. ''Shit...!!!'' I quickly cast Reinforcement but chided my stupidity when it didn''t work in front of the old man, ''He probably has the same Quirk as Aizawa...He is his father, after all, you idiot!'' while I mentally reprimanded myself, I pushed my keen senses to their max as I saw that the old man had disappeared from the surrounding area. I waited, my heart beating so fast it hurt my chest but also an excitement flooding my bones and rushing into my blood, ''I may be a battle junkie,'' I thought this as I felt the excitement grow. Suddenly I heard a slight ''whoosh'' of sound and I immediately ducked down. I placed my hand on the ground, digging my fingers into the solid soil before sending my legs flying in a double kick at my attacker. "Ohohoh, you''ve got some keen senses, kid...Interesting...!" I looked in the direction of my kick and saw the old man holding my feet and smiling like the force I had just sent out couldn''t cripple an adult. I hadn''t felt so weak before. I thought I''d at least be able to fight with him for a bit. Look, I know that in the big scheme of things in My Hero Academia I''m not even at the level of strength for a U.A first year, but I had a bit more confidence in my strength to be able to casually spar with this old man. Guess it''s a shame he doesn''t know what casual is. I felt myself being lifted before I was thrown straight into the ground. "Argh *Cough* Why? *Cough*" the air was knocked from my body and I started to violently cough as I felt like I''d been used in lieu of a sledgehammer. The old man heard me and chuckled again before speaking. "I''m testing you. You''ve got some good durability, kid. That slam would''ve broken a normal man in half..." his voice trailed off as he picked me up again. ''Then why''d you use the slam on me, a 5-year-old?! For all you knew I could''ve been weak enough to die from that!'' as I glared at him, I felt lucky that he just put me down on my feet this time after picking me up. "Don''t look at me like that, brat. Shota told me about your test results, I knew what you could handle...it''s just that I don''t trust medical results 100%, I wanted to see for myself, okay?" he looked at me with a gentle smile which was the complete opposite of his violent aura from earlier. If before he seemed like a demon from hell, then now he seemed like your average friendly grandpa. ''Urghhh...I hate people like this, one minute they''re a prick the next they''re lovely, which one''s the real you?! Do they have split personalities or something?!'' Despite my inner turmoil, I simply nodded on the outside because I did understand what he meant; medical instruments could make mistakes, so he wanted to be sure. Seeing me nod, the old man nodded himself with an excited smile on his face, "We''ll teach you everything we know, Tatsuya. Strength, Reflexes, Flexibility, Senses, Speed and Durability, you have them all and more..." I could see the enthusiasm building in his eyes, "It''s my honor to teach such a perfect student!" he let out a small shout and clasped my shoulders with his hands. I looked up at him, not being able to stop my deadpan expression from crawling across my face, ''Are you and Aizawa really father and son...? You''re way too energetic!'' After this, Chiyo healed whatever damage I took during that one-sided manhandling and shortly after we got on with the master-disciple ceremony; I pretty much just bowed in front of him and gave him some tea. It was surprisingly easy.If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. I was then told that I would go through a rigorous first training session. When I ask when the old man looked at me with a weird look. "Now. When else would we do it?" he looked at me as if my brain was a bit wrong. I felt my eyes twitch at this look. "Now?! Shouldn''t I have a week to prepare of something?!" I couldn''t keep my voice low and nearly screamed when I thought about the training methods of this monstrous old man. He simply smiled at me and shook his head. "No! We must strike the iron while it''s hot! Come, Tatsuya, I''ll show you the training room!" the old man then proceeded to drag me to the training room. When I looked at Chiyo for help, she just wryly smiled at me and shrugged her shoulders like she was used to the old man''s behavior. It wouldn''t be wrong to say that I felt betrayed. I was then thrust into one of the most horrendously intense training sessions I''d ever seen, let along experienced. It was the kind of training session a protagonist did in a Xianxia when he needed to break through before a life and death battle; It was life and death training! It started off with basics exercises like push-ups, sit-ups, and pull-ups, before moving into squats. But unlike a normal exercise routine where you''d do 30, maybe even 40 just to stay toned and fit, I HAD TO DO HUNDREDS! It didn''t help that my body made it so I could do a hundred easily (his original order) and made him curious on where my limit lay. ...My limits were 247 push-ups, 243 sit-ups, 224 pull-ups and chin-ups, and 302 squats. Safe to say that''d be the end, right? Well, you''d be wrong. Because we then went onto multiple gymnastic work-outs. I had to hold myself up on some gym rings for an incredibly long time, with weights attached to my feet. I don''t know how but I felt whenever I touched the floor or equipment in this room, my body''s energy was being sapped and my body weight increased incredibly. So with this energy draining and increased weight, these exercises I could have done normally were incredibly hard for me to do. In the end, I was covered in sweat and had to take off my white shirt as it was soaking. This caused me to become increasingly scared of spending time around Chiyo as, again, I swear that I saw hearts in her eyes and a tiny bit of blood coming from her nose. ''Is Recovery Girl a pervert or something??'' I kept having these thoughts to distract me from the burning sensation in my muscles and even more to distract me from the violent feeling working it''s way up from my core. It seemed that I was either a very violent person or I just liked pushing myself further because whenever I wasn''t careful, a rather manic smile would find it''s way on my face. ''Oh well, I''ll have to keep it under control and if it gets too bad, I can always tell Sensei about it,'' but still, despite my laissez-faire* attitude, I was quite worried about my tendencies. (*Pretty much means casual. The direct translation means "let do", or in this context, it could mean "let go", so it could be seen as "Ah~ Let them do what they want" or "Meh, things happen let it go") By now, I was lying on the ground while the old man massages my arms, legs, chest, and back. We had some casual conversation when he was doing this and I found out a few things. I found out he had another disciple who he''d found a few days before and showed similar potential to me. Not in the physical area but definitely in pure martial arts. I also found out he had a daughter who helped out around the place every now and then. She was a few years younger than Aizawa, so I''d be around another beautiful woman most likely. ''Lucky~~'' this gained me a glare from Chiyo who saw my happy expression but I ignored it and closed my eyes, continuing to relax into the massage as I spoke with my new master. I also learned how the teaching was going to work. The old man would be in charge of teaching me Martial Arts and doing the physical training, while Aizawa would be the one who''d spar with me after each and every session. My lucky streak continued as I was told there''d be no sparring today but there''d definitely be some tomorrow and every day I came to the dojo afterward. I''d made a deal to come to the dojo every morning for the next year but I''d have to come in the afternoon on weekdays after I turned 6 as I''d be starting elementary school. Still, he made me promise to come on weekend mornings for extra intense training once I entered School. I could only sigh and agree; we both wanted me to get stronger after all and this would be the way of doing that. Anyway, I finished up and put on a white shirt they''d found somewhere in the dojo. I stood up already feeling the soreness of my body, ''Maybe they''ll let me off for tomorrow?... I wish...'' as if knowing what I was thinking, Aizawa walked up to me. "I''ll be at your house at 5:30 am. If you''re not awake, I''ll drag you here and my dad will up the difficulty of the training," I felt myself shiver and looked up at Aizawa as if he were a monster. He saw my look and just grunted before he went over to chat with his dad for a while. It didn''t take long before we were leaving once again, me back on Chiyo''s lap while we were in the car. I lay back into her and closed my eyes, a smile on my face, ''Ahhh~ This is the life~'' . . . I slowly came to and noticed I was back in my living room, lying on the sofa. I could see my dad and mom next to me cuddling on the sofa, and I could see Ayako playing with her toys in front of the sofa. Seeing this sight, suddenly the training at the dojo earlier didn''t seem so bad. If it was to protect this sight, I''d be willing to take on any training that old man could throw at me. No matter how harsh it was. While I was thinking of preserving what I loved, my dad noticed that I was awake, "Ah! Tatsuya, you''re awake!" I looked over at him and he seemed to find something incredibly funny as he couldn''t stop himself from laughing. My mother looked over at me and seemed annoyed by something. Ayako was the same. I didn''t understand what they were talking about until I saw them all looking at my forehead. I got up and walked over to the mirror we kept in the hallway. When I saw what I saw, the vein on my temple nearly popped. A red, full lipstick mark was on my forehead and I would confidently bet all my families fortune on who it was that put it there. ''Chiyo...!'' I rushed upstairs and into the bathroom, turned on the taps and started to scrub away at the red mark on my forehead. It took a surprising amount of time and a lot of soap but finally, the mark was gone and my face was finally free. I went back downstairs and my mom was holding Ayako while speaking to my father. But when the two women (Well, woman and toddler) of the house saw me, they both went ''Hmph!'' turned their heads away and walked out of the room, leaving a flabbergasted me and my laughing dad in the room. "Tatsuya, you''ve really made your mom jealous! You won''t let her, your mother, kiss your head but you''ll let a stranger who only just met you today do it? You''re very bold! Hahaha!" my dad doubled over as his laughter intensified seeing my twitching expression. "I was asleep, what was I supposed to do about it?!" my indignation was clear but my dad continued to laugh. I grunted before sitting down on the sofa, thinking on how to appease the two very unreasonable women in my family. Before I could, however, my dad spoke up, "Tatsuya, be careful around Recovery Girl, okay? She seems to be a bit...odd," though I completely agreed with what he said, I still put on a confused expression. "Huh? Why should I be careful, dad?" the innocence in my voice seemed to put him in a difficult place as I saw the sweat collect on his brow. "I-I...uhhh..." his eyes darted around, wishing his wife were here, "I''ll tell you when you''re older!" with that he got up and ran after his wife and daughter, wanting to escape the situation he''d put himself in. As I watched him run away, it was now my turn to laugh at his expense. ''Serves you right for laughing at me, old man~ Hahahaha!'' despite my vengeful inner thoughts, I couldn''t help but feel warmth and happiness from these family interactions. Chapter 9 - Four Years Later and Changes Currently, I was standing underneath a shower, letting the hot water wash away any dirt or blood on my body. I''d just gotten back from the dojo and I couldn''t help but shake my head in a mixture of regret and fear. Both the Aizawa''s were hardcore, ruthless monsters. The amount of times I''d been beaten black and blue in the past 4 years is so high it''d be easier to count the times I wasn''t nearly beat to death in a training session. It was 47 if you were wondering. But still, the training had benefits that matched and maybe even exceeded the cons. I''d learned so much about martial arts it could easily be said that I didn''t have to rely purely on brute force in fights anymore. And trust me when I say that my brute strength had grown immensely. For the first year, it was mainly body strengthening through simple bodyweight exercises (push-ups, sit-ups etc) and running. I found out that the first day I went there for the test, the old man had got his daughter to come and use her Quirk to increase the weight in the room. He occasionally had her come and do this every few months to see how far I''d progressed. Still, I hadn''t seen her yet because she always did the Gravity stuff before I arrived. She was an elusive creature, like bigfoot - you hear about her but you''d never see her no matter what you tried. Anyway, my body through the catalyst of the exercise - and my Quirk -started to grow at an unimaginable pace. If before I was a bit better than an Olympic Athlete while not using [Reinforcement], I was now easily in the realms of being completely inhuman, not just for a child but for a normal human in general. This body strengthening carried on for the entire four years and by the end of it, I could easily go up against 5 of the old me''s. And that was purely through brute force and not my newly acquired martial skills. After the first year, I started school which was very aggravating, to say the least. The only kids I''d ever put up with are Momo, Shoto, and Ayako and that''s because two of them are my family and the other becomes one of the characters for the show. Forgetting my terrible times surrounded by mindless brats, let''s get back to my training, shall we? The old man said that I need a solid foundation in martial arts of all kinds before I can properly inherit his own, so for the past 3 years, I''ve been practicing a multitude of martial arts. If my brain hadn''t been constantly upgraded by my Quirk, along with my bone and nervous systems, I probably would''ve fallen behind on the martial arts for biting off more than I could chew. I guess you could call me a pseudo-genius. I wasn''t the kind of genius that was incredibly clever and knowledgeable about specific subjects, or the kind that could teach people and point out their mistakes with a single glance, I was only a genius in the fact that I could learn things incredibly fast. So after the second year, I was told that I''d solidified my foundation and that I needed to pick some martial arts to focus on. Apparently, this was to help me with the later levels of the martial art they''d put together but I honestly started to suspect that the old man and Aizawa were beginning to wing it because of my rapid progress. Nonetheless, I picked Military Boxing, Karate, Muay Thai and Taekwondo. Oh and also dappled in a little bit of Systema and Krav Maga for their suppression and capture potential. And that was that nothing else had changed as I continued to train like that for the last two years. When I turned 9, I felt like I''d forgotten something big but I couldn''t remember it, so I kept it in the back of my mind while I tried to think about what I was forgetting. Oh, and if you''re wondering what happened with Chiyo over the years, not much happened actually. I was wary around her when it came to me going to sleep, after the forehead kiss I received after my first day of training but other than that, I truly came to see her as (very yandere-like) big sister. She came to some of my training sessions to cheer me on and whenever I had breaks from training or sparring we''d talk. Despite me only being a child, she could see the intelligence in my eyes and tried to treat me like I was older. But that usually went out the window when I did something mildly cute...Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation. Anyway!! Back to me forgetting about something and trying to remember it. This is what I was currently trying to do in the shower, as like any normal human when I was on the toilet or in the shower, my brain started to think about things I could never think about. As I was thinking, I scrubbed myself down with soap and washed it off before I started washing my red hair with some special soap to keep it nice and fluffy. I didn''t let the shampoo rest for long as I needed to rush outside - we had visitors. Speaking off our visitors--"Tatsuya, hurry up, the pizza''s here!" I heard Shoto''s voice come from behind the door. Yeah, there had been some other differences as well. ''Haaa~...Seems the butterfly effect is real after all...'' I let out a silent breath before smiling and answering, "Okay, give me a minute, Shoto!" I rapidly rinsed my hair with the shower on its full setting before turning it off and getting out and into a towel. A few minutes later I was fully dried and I''d put on some pajamas. Because I was a child, despite my maturity my parents had still gotten me, well, let''s say childish pajamas. Pretty much, my pajamas were covered in pro-heroes. Mainly All Might, my dad and Endeavor - The big three. Exiting the bathroom I saw Shoto waiting there in identical pajamas, an excited smile on his face. One of the biggest changes would have to be that his mother didn''t throw boiling water over the kid, he still had to go through the ruthless training but at least he still had his mom to comfort him. This led to his becoming much less aloof and indifferent than before, his hatred for Endeavor was also much lower. I didn''t know if Rei''s mental breakdown had been completely averted but it had been. Endeavor also seemed to be much more...calm, ever since my 5th birthday. He even gave me some tips on my training and said I was free to use his training room whenever I was round there''s. It was at that point that I realized that he saw me as his family and another potential candidate for overtaking All Might as the Number #1 Hero. Seeing as I was Half-Todoroki after all, this didn''t seem that far-fetched. I don''t know whether this was completely the truth but it would explain why he wasn''t so harsh to Rei and Shoto like in the show. I''m sure he still abuses them, and no matter the abuse''s intensity it''s still abuse, but it''s still probably much less than in the show where he forced Shoto to throw up constantly due to the intensity. What I didn''t know was that having me as a cousin was one hell of a motivation to get stronger. Shoto had seen me blast ahead of him in terms of overall brute force and also combat prowess, so he took the training in his stride and took it as a stepping stone to get stronger. This led to him talking to his mother about letting him train with his father which led to her not trying to stop Endeavor as much meaning Endeavor didn''t turn to physical violence to get her out of his way. And all this was because of me wanting to learn martial arts. The Butterfly Effect was pretty crazy. Meanwhile, Shoto and I were chatting about our training, finding solace in each other knowing that we were both pushed to our extreme limits each and every training session. We continued walking until we arrived back in the living room and saw my mother talking to Rei, while Endeavor was watching the Tv while occasionally looking at his watch. Next to him, Ayako was playing with two children, or should I say, teenagers. One of them was quite a bit older than us at 16, while the other was 4 years older than us and was 13. These two were Shoto''s older brother and sister. The 16-year-old was Fuyumi Todoroki, a beautiful looking girl with white hair like her mother but little clumps of red scattered around her hair, which she presumably gained from her father. The other was Natsuo Todoroki, he had pure white hair and had a handsome face which seemed to make people more comfortable around him. He also seemed to sport a cheery grin wherever he was. But my concentration was on the massive pile of pizzas on the table in front of me. Before I could grab one, my mother grabbed my ear, "Hmm? Not even thinking of greeting your mother before you eat? How did I raise such a son...~" at the mock-hurt in her voice, I could only wryly smile. ''How is it my fault that I''d been forced to train in an inhuman way for the past few hours and said training has left me with a much more voracious appetite than usual? Hm?!'' like always, despite my inner thoughts, I let my mom do whatever she wanted, knowing that an argument would only make things worse for me. After a lengthy scolding, I saw my mom''s face morph into one of worry, "I really wonder where your father is...he should''ve been back by now..." her voice was seeping in worry and seeing her like this caused me to feel uncomfortable. I took her hand in my small one and squeezed it, "Don''t worry, Mom, dad will be back soon!" I beamed one of my famous smiles at her and when she saw it, a gentle smile of her own spread across her face. She bent over and pinched my cheeks playfully. "Hmph! When did you learn to calm girls down, Ta-chan? Have you been getting girlfriends behind my back in school?" seeing the teasing light in her eyes, I rolled my own. "Mother, I''m 9, I won''t have a girlfriend for a while..." my words seemed useless, however, as both my mom and Rei covered their mouths and started laughing in a "Ufufuf~" kind of way - exactly how a mature woman laughs when you''ve fallen into their teasing trap. But when they were about to continue, Endeavor''s deep voice echoed throughout the room, "What the...?!" he stood up from his chair, his flames flaring out around him. I curiously looked at the Tv, wanting to know what had set him off. But when I looked at it, I felt any coherent thought leave my head like someone had knocked a hole in it. Chapter 10 - A Heroes Will Words failed to form in my mouth, like each word I thought of saying was held together by melting butter. I just couldn''t comprehend what I was seeing. My father and an injured All Might were fighting against All For One. Currently, All Might had blood coming from his mouth and he was holding the side of his body which looked like it had been slightly caved in. My dad, on the other hand, was missing an arm and had blood pouring from his forehead, effectively covering his eyes in the red sticky liquid. My eyes widened in fear. Overwhelming powerlessness flooded my system and for the first time in this world, I felt helpless. ''Nononono! Why''s dad there?! Stupid bastard! Why''s he gotta play the hero!?'' despite mentally admonishing him, my worry for him was immense and seeing his injuries, I felt like my heart was being torn from my chest, ''Don''t you know we need you to come back for the family meal...?... So dad...please...'' I could feel myself choking up despite not saying anything. I couldn''t hear anything, not even the news reporter covering the story. Nor could I hear anything from the surrounding. I could only feel the blood in my head, pulsing with more intensity as each second passed by. I felt time slow down as I came to a realization - My dad was about to die. Never had I experienced such a harrowing feeling. Something that felt like my insides were suddenly pulled out of my body and then ground up into mush before being put back inside. It was like my body was falling apart. Even back in my previous life, when I only had my dad to look after me, I didn''t feel this pain when he died. Maybe it was because he was an abusive fuck, but still, I didn''t think it''d hurt this much... My eyes seemed to forget how to blink as I watched the fight that followed. Even my enhanced eyes failed to follow the impossibly quick moves of all three of the people. Even without an arm and being severely beaten my dad still kept up with All For One and All Might, despite how powerful the other two were. But I could tell how much he was pushing himself. We practically had the same Quirk - we enhanced our bodies and there was always a limit. My father was currently going over his limit by a considerable amount. Even...even if he did survive this brutal fight he''d be a cripple, his body being beyond repair even for someone like Recovery Girl. I watched as my father and All Might came to a stop after blasting All For One away with a double attack from the two of them. All Might seemed to want to go after AFO instantly after but my dad put his only arm onto the tall man''s arm. He seemed to want to say something. POV Change - Takashi Yamamoto I could feel the blood pouring over my eyes but I didn''t care, blinking wasn''t an option against such an opponent. Even after Toshi and I had pushed him back with that double attack, I can still sense that he''s doing better than either of us. I saw Toshi go to attack but I pulled his arm back. He looked at me with a confused and slightly angry face, "Takashi, we don''t have time! We need to attack him now--!" he shut up when I glared at him. He saw it in my eyes - The will of a dead man. "Toshi...please take care of my wife and kids, okay?" I put on a pleading smile before I pumped every bodily system with as much energy as I could possibly gather. My quirk worked differently to my son''s. He just seemed to change his body to become better, like the material was made of wood and he switched it out for metal when he activated the Quirk. Mine, however, was simply me pumping it with so much energy it had no choice but to improve. You could say his Quirk is a much more refined version of mine. But I do wonder how he upgrades it... ''*Sigh* It pains me to think that I won''t see you grow up to become the Hero I''ll know you''ll be Tatsuya...Along with Toshi, you''ll need to look after Ayako and your mother...'' I shook my head and let a small smile fall upon my face as I was thinking about my family. I could be strong for them. "All For One, we''re gonna have to finish this soon, I''ve got to get back for the family meal me and my family have one every two weeks...I simply can''t miss it...!" my smile became a little strained when I activated my Quirk to it''s fullest potential and beyond that. I felt the power, unlike anything I''d ever felt before flowing through my body. Strength so peerless it felt like I could give Toshi a run for his money, even against one of those Smash Special Moves he loves so much...This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. But I could also feel my body being torn under the pressure, my veins and arteries expanding so much they were like an incredibly taut rubber band that would snap if even an iota of force was added to it. I turned my head to Toshi, "I''ll make an opening...when you see it, take it and Smash this bastard''s face in, do it so hard he won''t even think of getting back up again, you got that?!" my smile was even more strained now. I knew what was about to happen but if I didn''t stop this monster...I could only imagine what would happen to the public...what would happen to my family... It wasn''t an option to back down now! I had to do it! So even though Toshi looked like he wanted to stop me, he solemnly nodded his head and started to prepare himself, powering himself up as much as he could. I turned my sights to AFO, "After this, let''s go eat with my family, Toshi..." I said this as a tear fell from my eye. I heard Toshi''s angry grunting, but I ignored it and rushed at AFO with speed, unlike anything I''d ever produced before. He looked surprised when I appeared in front of him but he didn''t seem scared as he enhanced his arm with multiple quirks and sent out a punch. I decided that I''d make him scared one way or another. I ducked up his punch and swept his legs. He toppled like a massive tree, obviously not expecting my strength and I sent a kick straight into his stomach, making him cough up a small amount of blood before flying backward. But I wasn''t finished. I chased after him with my improved speed and grabbed his leg before lifting him up and then slamming him into the ground. I could feel my body''s integrity falling even quicker now but I held on. But when I heard his voice, I realized how naive I was to think a simple increase could beat a man who could handle All Might and me like children, "You have an interesting Quirk...Let me test it out, okay? Hahahaha!" The man started to maliciously laugh and I felt a hand pierce my chest, grabbing my heart. It squeezed around my heart, tightening like iron cables around the vital organ. I felt my blood circulation slow down and heard him speak again, "If I slow your heart down forcibly, one of your quirks powers is suppressed...now to take the quirk," I felt lethargic as I sensed a sucking motion from his hand around my heart but nothing left me which surprised both me and him, "...Hm? I can''t take your Quirk...why? Is it like One For All?..." AFO was deep in thought, obviously thinking I was out of commission. ''What an arrogant bastard...it''s only a hand clenching my heart...do you think that would stop me from seeing my family?!'' my heart forcibly sped up, I pushed my limits even further than before. I knew this would kill me but...I had to do what I had to do... "ArghhhhhH!" I let out a scream of pain as I pushed and pushed, as I pushed my Quirk until my body was breaking apart at speeds even my regeneration couldn''t heal, even if it was given all of my power it would pale in comparison to the power of this destruction in my body. AFO looked at me curiously, obviously underestimating me. But he sensed something was wrong and went to crush my heart. But before he could do that, I wrapped my legs around the man''s arm and positioned myself before he could stop me. Using my colossal strength, I grabbed his wrist and got him into an armbar. The pain I felt was immense as I was also moving my heart with his arm due to his hand still being latched onto it. But I pushed past the pain, mainly because I already knew my outcome had been decided. I let out another screamed before using my entire bodies strength on the man''s arm. I felt it cracking, but I also felt his hand clenching even harder on my heart. I looked at the man in question. His face was twisted in a malevolent expression, looking incredibly annoyed at the pain he was feeling. I smirked somewhat before letting out a shout, "NOW, TOSHI!" I used my hand and legs to keep the man from defending the punch that was coming his way. He tried to lift me to use me as a shield but I did everything I could to keep him from doing so. I stuck one of my feet under his chin and wrapped the other around his neck, making it so if he tried to lift me, he''d run the possibility of me snapping his neck with my massive burst of strength. My hearing was going by now and my vision was going black but I still heard and felt Toshi shout "SMASH" with all his heart. I felt AFO let go of my heart and get slammed into the ground. My strength had already waned from the exertion and I''d let go so I just fell to the ground. I could tell AFO was out of it and wouldn''t be getting up any time soon. Toshi grabbed me and shook my body, I could feel his shouting but I couldn''t hear it. It was such a peculiar sensation, ''Is this what it''s like to be deaf...? Who knows, but this is pretty weird...'' I was slowly going delirious but I managed to look Toshi in the eye with my rapidly blurring vision. I said something to, or at least I tried to. I couldn''t really hear myself so I could''ve just said some bumbling nonsense instead of words. Well, he''d probably understand what I mean anyway, right? I felt my warmth leave me and I could feel myself slipping, ''I really hope Mika will be alright...She has to be strong for the kids....'' as I thought this, the last of my warmth left me and I felt myself pass over. POV Change - Tatsuya Yamamoto (MC) I fell to the ground as my knees buckled. I could see All Might holding my father''s limp body and shouting at it with tears in his eyes. My dad seemed to say something to All Might which shut him up. I would try to figure it out but right now, I just felt...hollow. My body felt lukewarm and lacked any energy so to speak. But I didn''t get any time to wallow as I heard a scream which shook the house. My sense of danger that had been improved through my training with Master and Aizawa lit up like a firework display and I rushed to Ayako, Natsuo, and Fuyumi, grabbing my sister with one hand, and holding her close, while grabbing the clothes of the older siblings with my other hand. Then I felt the heat behind my back flare up dramatically, it getting hotter along with the scream getting more pained and hoarse. Chapter 11 - Afterwards I blasted out of the room, the extra weight added by the three people I was carrying being negligible to me due to my strength. I knew where the heat was coming from - my mother. Her Quirk tended to act up when her emotions got out of control and I could only imagine the anguish she was currently feeling and how it would affect her Quirk. Hearing a shouting voice and more heat, along with a pleading voice and a chilling wind, I knew Enji and Rei were working their best to suppress her. It was then that I realized I''d left Shoto there but he was close to his mother so I didn''t give it any more mind. ''His mother would protect him, so let''s focus on what I''ve got to deal with know...'' I looked down at Ayako who had tears pouring from her eyes. She''d seen what I had - our father dying in All Might''s arms - and I could only imagine how it affected her. I''m a reincarnator, I''ve experienced the death of people before in my past life and yet, this still hurt me to my very core, let alone a 6-year-old who''d never experienced the death of a loved one before. I came to a stop a bit down the corridor and I placed the three kids down. Fuyumi and Natsuo looked at me with surprised looks which quickly turned to thankful but guilty ones. It was probably because they had to rely on a child who''d just lost his father. Ayako instantly latched back onto me, digging his head into my chest. I felt the tears build up in my eyes, what just happened finally catching up to me as the adrenaline from the earlier escape started to fade. I put my arms around her and squeezed her further into me. Both for her sake and for mine. Ayako didn''t reject it and I could feel the faint sobbing coming from her. The sobbing intensified before she was crying her eyes out, screaming her pain. Usually, I''d try to stop her because her quirk was activating, making her soundwaves act like miniature blades which cut into me. But I didn''t, I just stood there, activated my Quirk and absorbed all the damage she could dish out. Luckily, my body muffled and absorbed most of the sound, so I didn''t have to worry about Fuyumi and Natsuo getting hurt. I felt my sister''s pain, I felt my own pain, but I didn''t throw it away. No, I wouldn''t allow it to traumatize me. I''d use this as a reminder and I''d hold it in my hold, so tight that it burns, and I thought to myself, ''No one else will ever have to feel this pain...! Never again! Not on my watch...!'' despite my strong exterior I broke down crying with my sister but I resolved myself. I resolved myself to be a hero for two objectives. To stop this hollow feeling from spreading to any other people...and my second objective is to destroy every AFO has built. My fists clenched until they couldn''t clench any further, my nails digging into my skin. My sister had slowly stopped screaming and simply hugged me, knowing I was also in the pain she was in, ''She really has always been a clever kid...'' I felt the tears coming from my eyes and I suddenly heard a voice behind me. "Tatsuya, you''ll be living with us for a while..." I turned to see my Uncle and Aunt with my passed out mother in my uncle''s arms. Enji looked regretful about something as he looked at me. Rei on the other hand quickly rushed toward me and Ayako before enveloping us in a hug, along with Shoto who was in her arms. ''I''m glad I at least have a semi-competent uncle and a loving Aunt..'' I let myself be pulled into the hug, mainly for Ayako''s benefit if anything. And just like that, the day my father died was burned into my memory. . . . Soon after that, my mother was put in a mental hospital for her own safety and others. She was in there to become rehabilitated so she could be a functioning mother for us and in the meantime, I and Ayako moved in with Shoto and his family.Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere. It wasn''t as bad as I thought it would be and it seemed mine and Ayako''s presence seemed to bring the family together somehow. Not that either I or Ayako really noticed, we were still in the mists of grief. The first few weeks were the hardest. Ayako wouldn''t stop crying whenever she realized we''d never see dad again and I felt my stomach form into nauseating knots whenever I remembered what happened to him. We tried to appear okay to not worry Rei or Shoto but we never really felt it. But overall, we were fine, considering what happened to our mother. Neither Ayako or I were mentally traumatized like our mother so while we were incredibly sad, we weren''t broken and we could still function like regular people. My Uncle kept my mom''s business running with his current shares in the business and his status as the new Number #2 Hero helping him steer the business into safety. Obviously, it was kept secret that my mother was in a mental rehabilitation hospital because if that got out the business would probably collapse or the board would elect a new head to take over in my mother''s steed. Staying with the Todoroki''s only lasted for just under a year as my mother was let out of the hospital. It was safe to say that she wasn''t the same mother I knew. The loving mother that I seemed to have lost on that day was replaced with a cold woman, so cold in fact that she barely treated me or Ayako like her children. But I kept hope as there were still occasions where I''d see my old mother. Times where she''d nearly slip up and call me ''Ta-chan'' or times when she''d smile when Ayako or I would say we loved her. But there was also the annoying fact that despite his coldness, she became secretly incredibly overprotective. She took me out of Elementary School and had me homeschooled along with Ayako. In her words "You will be homeschooled until you can prove you can protect yourself, Tatsuya," and I couldn''t help but sigh every time I heard them. Nonetheless, I obliged (not like I had much choice, I was only 9-years-old) and I was homeschooled. A month after she came back, we held a private funeral for my father, one where all three of us cried our eyes out, giving me even more hope that my mother was still in there beneath that cold exterior. In better news, being homeschooled gave me more time to train with my old man and Aizawa. My mom let me go because Aizawa always picked me up to go to the Dojo anyway, so she at least trusted that I''d be okay with him. Aizawa and the Old Man gave me sympathy once and never again after that - and I was grateful for that. There was nothing worse than feeling the sympathetic gazes on you when you just wanted to get on with your life. Even worse was to be labeled as a pathetic kid who''s dad died and his mom''s a bit cuckoo. Past this point, other than throwing myself into more intense training and fights with Aizawa and the old man to distract myself, I didn''t really do much else other than helping Ayako master her Quirk - which was going along surprisingly well. Years past by and I slowly but surely got closer and closer to the start of the plot. My training was going well and when I turned 12 I started to learn the martial art the old man and Aizawa had made together. It didn''t have a name but from what I''d been taught it was incredible. In theory, it was just a mixture of many different martial arts but when applied properly in a fight, it outperformed all of these martial arts by a considerable amount. The only problem was that I had to have all the properties these martial arts needed. For some I needed speed and flexibility, others I needed strength and durability and it was at times like this that I thanked my past self for getting my [Bodily Booster] Quirk because without it I wouldn''t have the body that could have all of those properties and more. By now, I could safely say I could protect myself against most Villains and if I couldn''t fight them, I was confident in my ability to escape them. But still, my mother refused to let me go to middle school, saying that she needed me to stay home for one more year. So I obliged and continued to be homeschooled and then go to train at the Dojo. I did this for a year and got my mother to send me to middle school, this time she couldn''t deny me as she remembered the last time, so she had to send me to middle school. I mainly wanted to go because I wanted to socialize. It was getting cramped only spending time in my house studying or training at the dojo and because my mother wouldn''t let visitors come to our house I couldn''t meet Shoto or his siblings. So as much as I hated school, it was my only way to socialize. The school I would be going to was an Academy that catered to the rich and elite of society, so I could expect to meet some brats there but also maybe some budding beauties. This is an anime world after all and if the girl''s clever she''ll most likely be beautiful as well. So here I am, on my first day of Middle School. Looking at a class who were looking back at me. The boys obviously annoyed because of my looks, while the girls being absolutely enamored with my looks. Other than one girl. "Momo?" "Tatsuya?!" I looked at the budding girl in front of me. Her black hair was tied up in a ponytail that was quite high. Her black eyes sparkled with happiness and her cheeks were slightly covered in a red blush.
