Dungeons come in many shapes and types, but what they all have in common is that they gather miasma and mana from the atmosphere and purify it back into unattributed spirit. They come in five difficulty levels Harmless, Harmful, Dangerous, Disaster, and Calamity, this describes what kind of monsters and traps are within. this dungeon seems to be a lower ranked one it seems, it lacks a high mana density to transform it into anything but a cave. But I''m surprised it hasn''t been conquered yet most lower ranked dungeons are conquered practically instantly by adventures because their core can be used as a strengthening item. I should know I''ve used plenty but it didn''t change anything.

    The adventurer guild huh I have many good memories of that place, Well I have many more awful memories of there though. Adventurers are a ragtag bunch of misfits 3rd or illegitimate child of lower class nobles, commoners who wanted a chance at wealth, retired knights who want pocket money, and last but not least those who want achievements. They come in the ranks.


    Starting with the lower grade adventurers. Iron Grade, those who just joined. They are occasionally called adventurer lite or adventurers in training, they''ll mostly do odd jobs and herb gathering requests. Next is Copper Grade these are where your average person can reach with some training. In this rank, you will do mostly do slime, wolf, and goblin hunting requests this rank is a rank where you can earn a "living", well it won''t be anything fancy.this is the rank I spent years in. After that is Silver Grade this is a professional adventurer, you will start taking harder subjugation requests and start taking escort requests for peddlers. Their strength is about on par with an orc, and they start regularly partying with a group of friends to go on to a higher rank.


    Next, you are going to the middle-class adventurers. Starting of this rank is Golden Grade these guys have reached into the superhuman they can fight with an entire platoon of your average knights and win without breaking a sweat this is the rank where you will start to get solicitations from nobles and merchants as well as some recognition. Then after them is the Platinum Grade these guys will get their own title like Setsuna, Light Blade, Fire Spear in the country they are in. they have the strength of your wyverns the weakest of the sub dragons.Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road.     After them are the upper ranks they start off with Mythril Grade your title has started to spread to the surrounding countries you can fight an army of a small city without a major injury. They have truly become super-human they tend to pick a country to work in or retire to a guild as a guild master in a larger city. Adamantine is the next Grade they are like Mythril Grade but even stronger. you can have 5 Mythril Grade work together to fight 1 Adamantine Grade and they will be one-sidedly trampled. Adamantine Grade adventurers can fight a silver lion 1 on1 and have a chance of winning.


    This is the top rank orichalcum these people fight on equal terms with dragons. They are the peak of humanity. They are so isolated in strength that no country tries to solicit them as to not incur their anger. they have the power to erase an entire country in a single day. At the moment this rank only has 3 people in it. The high elf Allylize "Princess of the Reflective Moon" is one of the few elves who lived 1000 years and evolved into a high elf. She uses a short sword with ocean, mountain, and moon magic all of which are superior attributes. Next is Randolf "The True" he is the most unique as he is a dhampire of a dark elf and a True Ancestor who is on par with gods. The final is a high human brave named Mayrai that was summoned 200 years ago and her title is as you can guess "The Brave". She has a personality that is the most volatile of the Orichalcum Grade adventures as she will take any woman who catches her interest and "corrupt" them in her own words, well there is an upside as long as you don''t touch what is hers, you won''t touch her inverse scale.

    Going down the cave-like hallway I come across a suprisingly nice door for being in a lower ranked dungeon.

    There are three needs food, shelter, entertainment. The dugeon is shelter "entertainment" is finding out how i can survive and evolve. What i do after is up to my disire. Well lets try eating bugs.


    Uugh it taste bad and though it is disolved i feel more food but i can tell it converted with 99% effecintcy into mana. Due to mana detection, I undertand the body of a slime is a semi-spirit state consisting of water and magical power. I wonder if I can eat mana as it is. Well no discovery was found from doing nothing.

    spirit race and the spirit are two difrent things the spirit is the natural form of mana that is flowing around us in its most pure form. While a spirit race is a group of the spirit that gathered and formed a will or was created by an union of spirit races. A spirit race is diffrent from the other races as the do not need to sleep, eat or reproduce if they do its only because they found it intresting or entertaining. but they have ranks. At the bottom is the non-human spirits they are the weakest and can be found any where, though dont think it is not powerful it is as strong as a silver class adventure. After that is the lower spirit it is stronger then the non-human spirit but it is on the lower end yet, it looks like a toddler and tend to be mischievous. then is the intetermediate spirit it looks like a 10-13 year old child they are also called child spirits as they tend to be moody and hard to please but they are strong enough if you contract one you''ll be invited by the country and large buisness'' endlessly and be auto premoted to mythril rank. after them is the greater spirit looks like a teenager but it can supress its power to look like any other level to blend in. It is the type to rarely make contracts but can give its protection as well as level 1 -<spirit magic>- skill to those he feels like it. the strogest spirit race is the Spirit King that number only six one for Light, Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, and darkness respectively they have absolute authority on the spirits ranked lower then them.     Though there are execptions for example there is a ice elemental greater spirit who named himself Kaori, is able to willingly to ignore their orders. 800 or so years a go the Fire Spirit King was in the north icy feilds and they met each other and the fire spirit king ordered Kaori told the Fire Spirit King that he refused and to leave. The Fire Spirit King took offense and then bellowed and attacked Kaori. You would think the Fire Spirit King would come out on top due to elemental affinity and rank, but Kaori blocked by creating two thin barriers of ice and freezing all partiles and atoms inside as to incease their weight to sink them to the bottom of the barriers to create a vacuum to block the heat and flames as well as so when a whole was melted in one layer air would rush in and blow away the fire. After blocking the flame released by the Fire Spirit King, Kaori released a barrage of hell ice spears thar were as sharp as dragon fangs that the point had mana foucused on a single point as to peirce anything subugating the Fire Spirit King of that time.


    Well I''m able to gain skills now, so let''s get some skills I wanted while I was Human. first is focusing on our mana and mind and moving it around our body. After geting used to that I cover my body in a consistant layer of mana, then I introduce various elements. About twenty minutes of practicing.

She could probably do better for her self if she abandons us, but she stays here with us doing her best. So we take odd jobs we can to help support her.

    After that everyone was adopted and I and sister Gaias adventurer began. We spent two years going around the kingdom, but one day every thing changed.


    We took a request for an orc subugation it was a routine quest took by us.     If I remember correctly a slime''s characteristics cange based on what they eat and thats why they are conveinient familiars. So all that is here to eat is noth.....wait a dungeon is a gold mine of resources the walls are full of mana and ores. I wonder how much power I can gain immediately.

    First I start by changing the shape of my hand into the shape of a knife. I try to cut the dungeon as it is but that dosem''t work. So I cover the knife in some mana infused slime digestive liquid causing to go into over-drive allowing me to cut into the wall. After cutting out a sizeable chunk I put it in to my body and disolve and consume it and all it''s minerals and magic ores.


    After about a minute a mysterious warmth spreads through my body, and my mana starts rampaging. Instead of forcung it to stop I instead force it to to do it evenly on my magic circut. Then I continue consuming the wall and once I finish a single wall the warmth transforms and feels like a raging fire causing my -<humanization>- to fail and for me to return into a slime as I collapse.


    "Hah haah... huhuhuhu" as I gasp for air I cant help but to laugh."I feel like power is running through me! hahahahahahaha"

    Now that I''m used to it it''s not that bad. the amount of mana is much more extreme but the stamina amount is a boat load more but it is not as bad as the mana. it look like the amount of health is deacreasing as well.


    "Well it dosent matter lets use -<mana absorbtion>- to refill my mana and use -<mana circulation>- to recover my stamina, at the same time i use -<ki circulation>- to heal my health."


    After twenty minutes my entire status is refilled.

    The sword plan I''m going make a short sword, that is also devil sword using my own body using a blade made with a six plate layer system. Each layer will be using 2 plates with each layer using different enchantments to enhance them. Then they will be layered with the mana flow direction flipped. The two center plates willbe the first layer and be made into a extremely strong core. It is made so that absorbs the shock that would go to the arm by using enchantments of <harden>, <shock directionality>, and <steel body>. It will use water attribute magic iron. The next two plates, the middle layer, will be made to maximize the durability using earth attribute magic iron and will have <steel body> and <steel body> running in parallel with a <iron blade> to increase effects of slashing and to make the blade less likely to chip. The last layer will be made using two plates made with fire and wind attribute magic iron with <iron blade>, <steel blade>, and <corrosion resistance>.


    The rest of the sword will be made to protect the user. The gaurd will use fire and earth attribute magic iron with the enchantments of <steel body>, <harden>, <vibration fang>. The handle will be made using magic iron filled with earth, water, and wood magic to make it like a wooden handle. It will have the enchantment of <harden>, <shock absorbtion>, <shock absorbtion> to make it easier to swing and have less recoil. The last part is the hilt will be made of wind attributed magic iron with the enchantment of <weight decrease>, <wind resist. down>, <corrosion resistance>.


    A devil sword is a magic sword that is living making it easy to change and upgrade. Created using the material of a living being. they are pretty rare as they can only be used by the person who made them and the person who donated the material with few exceptions. Honestly I would use more advancedtechniques if I had the materials and equipment.

    I put all the patrts together not yet fusing them and I start running through them to stress the mana channels expading them. I''m regulating the power to expand them yet not blow them up having a small amount of mana with high control similar to most dwarf smiths.


    The fae races are one of the four classifications consisting of fairy, all elf veriaties, dwarves and mermaids. they have natural talet for magic and their whole race has a blessing of some sort. fairy''s have the blessing of the world tree which are differnt for each person and fairy''s are 60% mana but they are hostile to most. a few centuries ago there once existed an empire that ruled half the conteint that was an empire that belived in human supremecy and captured fae race to turn them into slaves. fairy''s were the worse of because of the fairy dust which increases magic affinity and increases life span.


    The elves were hunted to near extinction for their wind spirit stone formed in their heart once they die. it is used for weapons because it caused the heaviest great sword to become as light as a daggar.At least until Allylize"princess of the reflective moon" the Orichalcum rank adventurer froze the entire capital city. And dwarves were hunted to be turned into slaves so they could make weapons that the humans could use to hunt more fae races. the mermaids currently have a treaty right now with most human nations as they could always ruin trading vessels an easily esape back into the depths of the ocean with no causulties. Underground human trafficing rings regurly attempt to hunt mermaids and get wiped out while some occasionally succeed causing them to become rich in underground auction.

    Thanks to the 100% purity magic iron mana and Qi goes through super easily. most magic Iron goes through a purifying process where the ore is bathed in mana as it is melted and purities are removed and then 10 high quality powdered mana stone is added to erase 90% of the impurities but it still doesent''t perfectly purify it. Only after repeating this process 10 time do we reach 99% purity for a master smith. There is one down side each time you put it through this proccess it becomes less flexable causing some one to break it if they are not skilled enough to weild it.


    magic iron is a very versitlile material because it is not picky of what energy goes through it be it mana, Qi, or holy. Unlike the highest quality of materials like adamantine or mythril. Adamantine is highly resistant to mana flowing through it bu Qi flows easily and it tends to be heavier the higher the purity it is. The currently most pure adamantine weapon is only at 75% purity although the other 24.9% is fire attribute magic iron which is the best attribute fo Qi. While mythril is the next material it is on the oppisite side of the sectrum. It is really resistant for Qi to flow through it after the refining process and extremely easy to flow mana through. making it difficult to pick wether to pick one or the other when you get the chance because most general smiths dont like the layering system for diffrent materials because the energy put in compared to the money earned is too low.

    I learned that -<mineralization>- can create anything as long as I understand it enough though the price changes depending on the material. medical herbs were really cheap due to me understanding everything about them. Similar to magic iron due to always working on Sister Gaia''s equipment.


    It is exactly this reason I can not create high class monster leather, or higher class metals than iron.


    I gained the skill -<create any liquid>- by fusion of many skills. the first skill is -<sticky liquid generation>- gained by eating a spider and its web. Sadly it wasn''t a dungeon spider but a normal everyday house spider causing me to get no experience. I got -<generate poison liquid>- by eating a centipede it was also your everyday bug that can''t give you experience. I gained -<medicine secretion>- from eating said earlier medicinal plants. Then after drinking some water from water magic I gained -<create any liquid>-.


    While experimenting with body manipulation I wondered what would happen if I compressed slime and took off a large flat sheet and then artificially remove half of the liquid. The result was better than I could hope for it created a kind of hardened slime leather. It was harder then steel if any thing hit it if cut It would self repair on it''s own without enchantment. I then used a <drying> spell from the life magic line and it retained all it''s natural mana and all of it''s previous properties but became as thin as high quality cloth.


    Then I <reinforce> from smithing magic after creating another sheet the same way as before but using half the thickness placed it under the first cloth and then used both the smithing and alchemy version of fusion. This caused me to come up with another idea ''what if I added other materials'' and then I remembered a rare material monopolized by the churches <em style="background-attachment: scroll; background-image: none; background-repeat: repeat; line-height: 21.98px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border: 0px none #383838">light magic iron I only touched it twice but I understood it enough to make a few ingots from all gauges going down to 1 then fainting. After asking Tyrhrung to watch over me after I faint and did it.


    After I awoke and made some fire magic iron I turned all the magic iron into a evenly mixed powder using alchemy spells <dust> then<mix>. I used the earth spell <invigorate> on the powder and placed it evenly across the cloth by using the sticky liquid made by -<create any liquid>- covering the cloth then using plating on the powder and the cloth. after that using both <fusion>''s on the whole thing again.


    After looking at such a masterpiece I check how many enchantment I can put on it. I nearly fainted as I gasped in surprise. as It could take six enchants at my current level, meaning As I level up enchanting I can put more on. Though for now I''ll put on 2 intermediate and 4 basic enchants <harden>,<iron flexibility>,<steel body>,<natural healing>,<toughening>,<shock control>.


    <toughening> is an upward compatible intermediate version of <harden>,<boost> is an intermediate enchant that passively boost all effects on the outfit. <shock control> allows one consciously direct force and isn''t passive. Meaning it does nothing if you aren''t aware.


    The greatest part of all this is I can change it at any time as it is all a part of me meaning I can control it at will adding or removing effects of my strengthening skills. I can also once I gain the skill to create threads and manipulate them I can have this armor create treads within itself to strengthen it further. well that is the future.

Fairy marks are enchants but for magic based races she counts because -<materialization>- uses mana for its form I thought it work, but I tested it on myself first. they have a different effect for each mark. and this is her new status.

    I left some openings for us so I can make new marks considering I found these in an abandoned library while with Sister Gaia and memorized them but had no chance to use them because they don''t work on humans. There are holy marks protected by the church but they use holy energy and have a different effect called divine phenomena and take years to learn how to use. They are used primarily by the 10 orders but Sister Gaia had one she let me study.


    It used pretty normal magical plants and had powdered light magic stone with the miasma removed, and powdered light magic iron with 80% purity. It was put on by applying holy energy to the while it was on the skin. Compared to fairy marks it has little difference other than element invoked but there seems to be holy energy always flowing from it.

    Todays the day to fight the goblins though I shouldn''t pay to much worry this armor and Tyrhrung they shouldn''t be able to damage me.

    I pick up some explosive magic tools and started preparing to walk into the main room that has all the goblins. I have to make sure I check out the situation before I attack.


    I sneak through the door as a goblin goes in side while being in my slime form and flattening myself as much as I can making sure that I''m not noticed.


    I see thirty goblins sleeping and the others on watch or just indulging themselves in food and drink probably from some small peddler with this number of goblins there is already a subjugation notice from the guild so I should finish quickly.


    As I watch the situation I see a goblin that is 1.5 bigger than the others and cover in thick muscle and armor that seems to be the leader.


    "Shit a red goblin berserker" I spat unconsciously


    Goblins are extremely weak the only reason they have survived in this world is their reproductive power. They can breed with anything that has a womb, have an incubation period of 1 month and grow up in under 10 days. When they breed with other creatures the off-spring gets some of the features and strengths.


    They don''t have women in their most basic forms but as they rank up and have more variations they have a chance to give birth to females which have magical power and intelligence. Having the females give birth allow quick expansion and they can have babies with more evolution destinations. These women will be deftly enough to make equipment and smart enough to make traps and control hordes in actual warfare making them difficult to deal with if they have large numbers as they will act as if they were an army.


    Knowing that the conditions to become a red goblin berserker are to be a "pure" goblin, and have a certain amount of strength.


    This means that these goblins are moving to this place from somewhere else. A horde that has a large enough amount of goblins to kick out a red berserker is a problem.


    This means a goblin stampede will occur. Though this happens enough to be called a 100 year cycle normally only goblin warriors are kicked out and at worst a goblin soldier or two. This will be a huge problem later I should report to an adventurers guild relatively soon...Even though they won''t believe me being a slime and all.


    Hmm let''s focus on what is before me for now and get stronger and evolve so people will take me seriously, similar to how Fenrir is now respected and feared by humans even though he is a monster. He regularly walks around town in his human form and buys rare food and doesn''t attack people due to a peace treaty he signed.

    After the dust clears away the only thing standing is a red goblin berserker holding a dead goblin he used a shield, all the other goblins are nothing but ashes. He dropped it and roared at me and immediately dashed at me at the same time drawing his sword.

    I instantly rolled left. He moved fast enough where I couldn''t catch it with my eyes but I have enough experience to guess how and where he will swing and I take evasive maneuvers and dodge with not even a centimeter between me and his blade.


    After dodging for 30 seconds I notice the arm I slashed earlier bleeding and having trouble keeping up with his other arm. For a instant I see a gap after his horizontal swing, I would not miss a gap this big and step forward after the swing, trusting Tyrhrung right into his heart.

    After staring a Tyrhrung for awhile I get up and start dismantling all the remaining goblins. surprisingly they had more material then I thought. The red berserker goblin skin that was left after eating all the meat on him had more mana in it then it should. I''m starting to think this is bad. Well I''ll practice this new status and skills.

    These skills are a bit to powerful especially my -<future sight demon eye>- it makes everything easier I can predict attacks, it helps with dismantling as I know before hand if I cut to deep or too shallow. also drain has more uses then I thought it intantly removed all the blood from the corpses to make sure I got high quality medical supplies from the organs of the goblins. as well as their horns which are used as lower ranked catalysts increasing magic power channeling in weapons and to make certain sorcery more powerful.


    Sorcery is similar to magic but different as anyone can learn magic but sorcery isn''t like that as it is all talent. Sorcery uses the same energy as magic but it is more free in it''s functions and uses. It takes much more knowledge takes more time and magical talent. Sorcery has two types free sorcery that lets you freely control an element, object, or thought, or even concept within your domain. It is extremely dangerous to those around you and yourself if not used correctly with a lot focus. A professional sorcerer has the power to erase a city in a day.


    There is also flow sorcery that use magic circles made of magic power bending the forces of nature and the logic that rules them. Flow sorcery isn''t limited to one element or concept in a single spell or techniques it can uses as many as the owner can put in and still keep it stable. It is this reason that sorcerers magic circles are all different. To make it harder to take over it is made with a lot of filler so it can''t be turned against the owner. Sorcerers'' study it to try to find immortality cures for all diseases so they tend to look at other fields as well such as alchemy and magic to gain even more knowledge and power.


    Sorcerers aren''t part of the adventurer guild but part of the Sorcery guild or the Magus guild. Where they share findings and experiments to spread knowledge to advance their goals. The leader of the magus guild is a female dwarf named Leaf she is a free sorcerer who has studied flow sorcery and alchemy. Her free sorcery controls the concept of time making it one of the strongest ones and she has lived almost 400 years already due to stopping the time in her body. She is also friends with three of the largest countries rulers.


    I learned that in human form Tyrhrung''s status is the same as mine. Also she is really deft with anything with a blade from a knife to a great sword. When I asked how the knew how to use these weapons and all she did was look at me with three question marks above her tilted head. It was honestly really cute, Even though it didn''t answer my question.


    After the two of us finished dismantling I stood up and stuck all the materials in storage and ask Tyrhrung if she is ready to leave.


    "Do you even know where we are?" she innocently asked which made it harder to respond.

    What was there was...a party of adventurers. It wasn''t a small party, it is definitely a dungeon capture party.


    Parties have loose qualifications but it is mainly based on number 3-5 is a hunter party, 10-15 is a dungeon capture party and, 20-30 are a mercenary bands there are also clans within the guild that can be helpful to those within the guild but they tend to be completive with other clans.


    But the fact they are here is bad. ah they are pulling out their weapons I should say something and make sure not to put down my guard.

    A couple hours later we are all sitting by the fire just drinking and talking how they''re going to spend the money they got from this request.


    "I''m bored they seem trust worthy you let me out." I heard Tyrhrung complaining

    "Uuu, I guess I can wait." she seems upset but she doesn''t seem impatient.

    I hear a pair of foot steps make their way over and I see Mile and Gail.

    Everything he said seemed to vanish into thin air to those two so I responded in their stead.

    I jog over to catch up, and what I see is a horror show.

    What I saw was awful almost twenty trees in a pile and two tails sticking out the pile. The trees looked like they were thrown at chainsaw attacked to a celling fan. I didn''t even lag behind a full minute.

    that''s is when the tails went completely strait as if they were caught doing some thing they weren''t supposed too. After a few seconds the tails sunk into they pile as if to pretend they weren''t caught.


    I walk over put both hands into the pile and pull out the two cats. They look at each other for a moment then me and instantly exclaimed.

    "well, first as we walked over I used the Laido draw style slash into a tree and nothing happened so I tried a few more times and the I let Gail try and after a few more swings we messed up on edge alignment and bumped a tree and the they hit each other a became a giant set of dominos as they were falling I took Tyrhrung and slashed the trees some more before we got squished then I heard footsteps an pushed us into the pile and then we were pulled out and that''s why we''re here."

It was this point he was given land and he taught how the elves reinvigorated the land and the tools the dwarves used to make farming more efficient. He used his own money to open schools and orphanages and kept getting more Achievements and worked his way up to the point where he is today. So all his children are trained and at the age of fifteen kicked out the house to gain achievements as a coming of age ceremony.


    I''m on the third year of my adventure already a silver class adventurer and have become leader of the 5 person party Flaming hawks. I have learned the spear and quite a bit of magic making me a magic warrior wearing an entire set of wind attribute magic iron. The party consists of Me, a female shield bearer, my maid which is also my childhood friend who is an archer and healing magician name Mika, an old man magician and young male magic swordsman. We have been working together since we were all iron class.


    We were in the frontier town of Citer ruled by Margrave Faress. We took a emergency request for a dungeon subjugation which is rare. It was about a day and a half away If you walk so after accepting and gathering gear we made our way over to the meet up and met a few silver class groups. One was a pair of beastman scouts, and a group of 3 and group of four, both with a party balance.


    I took control and made a safe and stable formation and we made our way to the dungeon and when we get there we see some one walk out.


    He was slightly transparent blue with dark purple horns wearing dark blue baggy clothes with purple accents. and he shouted at us in common language but the magic tool I carry with me to warn me when monsters approach is going nuts. Plus with the pressure he releases wont fall behind a gold class adventurer.


    I forcefully calm myself down as it doesn''t look as he will pounce on us. It is still clear he hadn''t let down his guard.


    "Hey guys he doesn''t look hostile should we negotiate? He is a monster though"


    I can see all the beastman''s hairs are all on end meaning wining is highly unlikely.


    "We don''t have any other opinion do we if he wanted victory or escape is impossible!" Mile exclaimed as the first to speak up.


    I spoke with him a bit leading me to bring him with me to reduce the damage as much as possible. This is the point wear we are now and he is sitting with us hanging out as if he was always part of the group seriously confusing me he clearly knows tons about magic, magic tools, black smithing, and even more speaking as if he was a scholar who spent all his life studying on each subject.I went to ask him about it all the answer he gave me was.


    "Ahh I was raised by my master but she is long gone" He said while his voice was filled with sadness.


    I decided to change the subject to alchemy which was something I was interested in as a child and have a level 4 in. It seemed to work as he got really interested and we brought our therious and of experiments until I was late.

    Mile seemed to ask him something as they walked with Gail over to the woods so I asked for some firewood and it wasn''t even five minutes until they returned with with embarresed expression on their face and when I was about to open my mouth I was hit with so much killing intent I quickly closed it.


    We bantered a bit then went to bed.

    The next morning I hear rustling from the opening tent which I borrow from Micheal. So I slightly squint and I see is a red and white pair of ears and tips of the tails at the end of my bed.


    "HELP they''re fondling me, rubbing me all over. I won''t be able to become Your bride at this rate!" Tyrhrung screams through -<gist>-.


    I bring the upper half of my body up look directly at the two kittens who are playing my equipment.


    Seeming to notice my gaze they freeze up. Their tails which were moving and their ears that were twitching slowly fell. they fold my equipment back up set Tyrhrung right were it was when they came in and attempted to crawl right out of the tent.


    But I won''t let them escape so easily.


    I get out of bed and faster then they can react appear behind them and grab them by the back their shirts.


    They slowly turn their head and look at me and the dread slowly appearing on their faces tickles my sadistic side. I can feel shivers go down their spines as they see the huge smile on my face.


    I pull out two of the spare sheets of the material my armor is made of and some long strips that look like really long belts with one hole at each end that has a metal ring increasing the durability. Quickly wrapping them up to look like burritos with a over full center.


    After leaving them on the side of my tent I get up put on my equipment.


    "Why didn''t you save me quicker!" Tyrhrung shouts at me.


    Ignoring her complaining I pick up the two burritos throw them onto a wind attribute magic iron rack which makes them lighter walk outside set them down and take down the tent.


    "What Is this?" Micheal walks over and asks seeing the rack.


    "Punishment." I respond nonchalantly.


    He seemed to recoil a bit.


    "How long will it last?"


    "Until I forgive them."


    "But we need them to scout"


    "I''ll free them at breakfast then. I''ll think of something else."

    Who came out was a 10-13 year old little girl who looked similar to Micheal but had two gold-red colored lion ears and a long golden lion tail. Her golden blond hair seeming to glow where the deep fiery red is at the tips. She was wearing white baggy sweat pants and a light blue tube top both using a wool from a Damascus steel sheep which is a rare evolution of the iron sheep a gold class monster on its own making the material extremely rare. Though there are a group of demons that manage to farm the iron sheep but they are highly secretive living in the Crater of Limbo.


    Over top such clothes a scientists lab coat that was made using mithril spider web. The lab coat featuring a design with a dragon chasing a star, said design was made using the wool from the cotton fly that had been dyed various colors. The dye is also special using things from crushed monster scales to rare plant oils giving it many natural resistances and buffs to the user albeit small. Also on the points where there are vitals there are extra layers of mithril spider web that have some other alloy weaved in that seems to have a magical effect of some sort. Through out the whole lab coat seems to have a special light attribute magic iron and spirit stone alloy string weaved in to make many more magic circles then just a normal enchanting skill allows.


    "Cecily what are you doing here!?" Micheal shouted from surprise pulling me away from the amazing craftsmanship of the lab coat that seemed to be a masterwork project that had been made using many advanced techniques only masters of their field could accomplish by working together and through a many trial and error.


    I have only just looked for a moment but I wish I could examine it in more intricate detail to find out even more of it''s secrets. The price of such an item could no doubt buy a small country. But it already gave me an idea to increase my own equipment''s power.

    Tyrhrung turned back into a sword, then I got out of the carriage and walk over to Micheal.


    "Yo I''ve been freed."


    "Yeah and I''ve been forced to walk outside in armor in the middle of summer while you were in the carriage that had a changing internal temperature where it was like a nice fridge. But I''ll stop complaining as we''re approaching town and I need to explain why it is a good idea to let a monster in town while it''s not a summoned monster or a tamed one to the commander in charge.     I should of gone ahead instead of walking with the carriage considering all towns in this kingdom have a magic tool that detects if a gold class monster comes within a 5 kilometer radius minimum and 100 maximum. considering his strength to kill a top grade silver class monster in a single slash it should of been clear that the said magic tool will react to him. I should of thought this through, he IS a monster even though he acts ands seems human. Or a type of Kijin or Deamon.


    I ran to the ''army'' that is being built and set up right in front of town and shout to get their attention.


    "I''m Micheal Leonheart and I''d like to see who is in charge to discuss the reason that your gathering at the moment."


    The unit commander runs up and checks my adventurer card. He is an old man and is wearing a set of armor made of a magic silver alloy of some sort looking like a knights armor with more metal instead of being a ''one piece per part'' with it fitted better then normal knights.

I don''t know the exact type of slime but it is definitely a slime as it has a core and its body is mailable.


    On the way over I have learned about his personality, he is slightly wary of people, building a wall for most people, but he isn''t a threat. He actually may be a benefit considering he without hesitation ran to help a carriage upon noticing it and he is really accurate in finding how to handle people.


    The biggest thing that tells me he is a benefit and not a threat is he has no ''threat'' nothing that causes people to automatically repulse people. Beastmen and elves are much more attuned to ''threat'' so they normally be repulsed by just by being near it yet instead of being repulsed they seem to be attracted not by any emitted skill or spell, but by the natural untainted mana."


    Seeing my thoughts he seemed to think of something but he seemed hesitant.     I see all the soldiers line up as a wall in front of me while I''m sitting in the middle of the road with a fire in front of me with large sections of the demi-ogre on a skewer over top a fire with Cecily siting on a chair right beside me. The demi-ogre has a demi-glace sauce and some mushrooms with fruit juice dripped on then eaten.


    Then I hear a shout then all the people relax and I see them all bow, but seeing Cecily not moving and just continue to eat I do the same.


    After about a minute Micheal and a ~35 with a sharp military look. The way the people here have no hostility at all says he is a good fair leader but the knights seem to have almost double the mass of the soldiers who are already considerably trained.


    By the time he made it to where I was sitting he had a surprised look on his face watching me fighting over a demi-ogre skewer against Cecily. With Micheal on his side with a bitter smile expecting this to happen if lunch happened and there was no mediator. All the other adventurers were cowering in fear with these two intimidating, over powering, and clashing mana fighting over the last skewer.


    It was a this time as he coughed and received the blood lust of the two beasts completely freezing him as if he was frozen by frozen sun. but I took advantage of my high status and transformation abilities to take advantage of this gap in conciseness and take the opening to steal the skewer. she looks down at her hand in disbelief and the skewer in my hand and mouth.     In there is a leather working table and tool set on the wall.


    The alchemy room has full lab, a chemical refinery, mana infuser as well as a chemical storage that stops time. It also has two homunculi to assist you while making anything they have seen before. They can also learn new recipes after three successful attempts are recorded just like the automata "


    "Wow this place is like all craft workers dream!" I exclaimed


    Cecily spoke up bragging as if she was the one to get it and it was all hers "Yup all the highest quality of tools and materials are gathered here. Not even the capital could compare with all the stuff in here."

    The guild test is pretty easy as it about basic skills such as plant collection and life magic spell formulas. I just go through whole test.


    At the end my test the unique question for me was a large magic formula with various errors in it, but I recognized it as the spell -<weapon sacrifice>- it is a spell witch sacrifices you weapon to increase your next attack damage by 20X. It is a rare spell as its complicated yet is for front liners and as a bonus it costs a lot to replace weapons regularly.


    Well I easily solve it.


    There is still a whole hour left so I just nap.


    "Hey, get up times up grading is finished she is saying the scores."


    I look up to hear her say.

The speed was further increased by using a lighting enhancement. It was a blow that could instant kill a Wyburn but it is not enough to compare to this muscle brain who takes it head on with his staff that is clad in Qi in an attempt to blow her away shouting.

    She used the momentum of his blow instead of being blown away to accelerate her hammer by rotating on her heel.

    A consecutive use of power increasing skills [Force Genocide] for 10x [Power Crash] for 2x and [Earth Shaker] for 5x for a single blow with 100x power but at half speed. To avoid this she timed there activation to be on the exact moment of impact.

    A young human man dressed as a druid has a spear but the spear is made only wood. The wood used however is not normal it is a type of wood referred to spirit wood. It is wood from a tree that is over 1000 years old and has become a guardian spirit.


    The material is full of mysteries as even if you analyze it you won''t get a real result. You will get its name spirit wood and that''s it. the strength one can pull out of the wood depends on their connection with ''The one Power'' or the spirit itself.


    Druids are pretty rare but not unexpected as they show up outside their groups after completing training to use ''The One Power'' to explore all of nature for 5 years as a graduation.

    Guild master played defensively while making sure not to stay still to keep him self from going into the reach of the spear and so he couldn''t just capture him.


    But Lue unlike normal druids didn''t try to zone and control the movement of Guild master into a superior position. He


    instead he dashed right a the Guild master and created a drill and armor out of wood.


    He thrusted his spear forward and when he was parried he sent tendrils out of his armor.


    However they were all calmly hit down the Guild master and countered with blow against Lue.

    Lue activated two martial skills to one to parry and another to counter while he focused on avoiding.

    I forgot to explain martial skills be cause I didn''t use them against the red berserker goblin. That was due to the fact that most martial skills have a lag time or some other downside and I was already much weaker than my opponent, and they are made to be used against human opponents.


    Originally martial skills did not exist they were just techniques slowly created and refined over time.     Now after waiting a second Guild Master dashes right at me realizing it doesn''t matter which direction he comes at me and he might as well gain as maximize his speed.

    I see a ceiling I don''t recognize.


    I heard the stronger the practitioner the shorter the battle would be. I never imagined that I would experience it for myself due to my level never increasing and the inability to gain skills.


    The battle with Falium literally ended in an instant.


    I turn into my human form and check to make sure I didn''t lose any cores. I also notice I don''t have Tyrhrung on me but I didn''t worry as Falium probably had her


    It was at this point that I sat up as I heard the door open.

    "Good morning, you have been out for a couple of hours. A message was left that your result will be given tomorrow with all the other examinees. The guild master is in his office getting ready to leave so you should go meet him."

    I stand up and follow her out, but I soon split from her and go upstairs to the guild masters room.


    I get to the door and I hear Falium being scolded and knock on the door.


    "Come in" I hear Freya''s voice call me in.


    I walk in and see Falium in a seiza. He seemed to have a few bandages over what seemed to be scratches.

    "It is no problem. If anything I have to apologize for this muscle brain, he went way too far. According to Guild regulations, the examiners are not supposed to use martial skills and spells above the intermediate rank."

    "I was called over by a receptionist to pick up my husband and fix the training ground.     I wake up early and see that Tyrhrung is already awake somewhere.


    I dress myself, look out the window to see that it is still dark outside and decide that I should go to the living room to read some books.


    I walk down the stairs while trying to not make too much noise.


    I get to the living room and pull out a book on the synchronization of spells.


    It is in ancient gladius empire script it describes basic magics and what happens if you cast the same one in rapid succession. Synchronization is the phenomena where if you cast a spell on top of the exact same spell you can use the previous spell circle and reduce mana cost and increase the cast speed every time it is repeated.


    {Would you like tea?} an automata who seemed to be cleaning saw me and asked.


    "Yes, please"


    The automata stopped cleaning and walked to get the things necessary for tea.


    I look back down at the gook and see a passage that seemed out of place but had large effect on current magic theories.

    It is just now that I realized that this automata sound different as it sounds much more human compared to all the other ones.


    I look closer at it and see that it had a higher quality pseudo-skin and used purified magic stones as eyes. It''s actions seemed much more smooth. I decided to examine its neck and see it a magic transmission device that seemed to use a synchronization based design.

    I start fixing her hair and wiping her tears as she continues to throw insults at me as well as excuses and small punches.

    ...It seems Freya has misunderstood that we were doing something erotic. Well, I cant blame her I in light night clothes and I''m being pressed into the ground by a beautiful woman whose clothes are in a mess.     I arrive at the adventurers guild. Its a bit earlier in the day and the guild full of people taking quests.


    "Hello, You''re the first one in, please come to the waiting room." said a blue haired receptionist


    I follow her upstairs pass the testing room but before the Guild masters room. The room has a desk in the back with two chairs in front of it, there are multiple book shelves with couches beside them.


    "Wait here."


    She then left the room.


    I take a look at some of the books on the shelves. there are encyclopedias, dismantling guides, monster information and simple magic guides.


    It seems that anyone ca ask to come up here to read and study unless it is being used for tings like today.


    I pull out a dictionary like book that''s in elven language, it seems that it is a spirit magic starters guide.


    Sadly right now I don''t have time to read it, so I remember where it is and look at some of the other bookshelves.


    After a few minutes Paloma walks in not wearing armor but instead wearing loose clothing that are a magic item.


    Oni''s are a rare type of demon race who look like humans except for having horns that come from their head. The horns size, and location determines the amount of physical strength and magical power they have before they start training. She has two long thin horns coming from her forehead normally associated with the chief of the oni tribe. It means she has a lot of physical strength, probably around 10x your average adult man and her magical power should be about the same as your average magician.


    That being thee case I don''t know why she is becoming an adventurer, I probably shouldn''t butt in though.


    Normally humans and fae would discriminate against those of demon races due to the fact the previous demon king tried to conquer the world but that isn''t the case for the Kingdom of Leaores.


    I understood why everyone else did but I didn''t care one way or the other.


    The Kingdom of Leaores Is apparently where we are right now, I don''t think they told me no doubt because they thought I already knew. But yeah apparently we''re in The Kingdom of Leaores according to the map on the desk.

    She looks at me glares then turns her head to the door where then all the other aplicants come in with mrs. blue hair.


    "The guild master will report your final scores in thirty minutes, please hand me your guild cards."


    We all hand her our guild cards and take a seat and start some small talk...except not everyone else talks but clearly... avoids me.


    As much as it bothers me... I can''t blame them, I am a monster. A ex-human monster but as I can''t tell anyone that to them I''m just a monster.


    Thirty miutes later


    The door open and Guild master Falium walks in with a clip board and all our guild cards.


    "I''m not good with ceremony so Ill just tell you who got what so line up."


    We line up with me on the right end and Paloma on the complete oppisit end.


    "I''ll start from the left, Silver, bronze, silver, bronze, bronze, silver, and for Yuuki gold class. Now a carriage i prepared to the mages guild so anyone wanting to sign for the mages guild jump on it."


    Everyone thanks him and I head to the carriage with Lue behind.


    I get on and sit down in the corner away from the other two people who are already on. One is a older woman who seems like a retired court magician and the other is a apprentice mage looking young man.


    Lue gets on and sits beside the other two.


    "Last call for mages guild transport." I hear from the drivers seat.


    A couple minutes later he calls out and we make our way to the mages guild.

    We arrive at the mages guild in a bit over half an hour, instead of just sitting there I meditated the whole time.


    I was the first to jump off the carriage and I slowly walk in careful to be ready to dodge any and all magic that could come flying at me


    I get inside and nothing come sent at me.


    "Don''t worry, Guild master Freya already told everyone not to attack you."


    "Is that so." I calmed down, relaxed and let down my guard


    "Yes, please follow me to the testing room the test will start in an hour"


    We head to the end of the room, out the side door, down the hallway, up to the fifth floor of the tower. After finishing, what seems to be a maze, we finally find ourselves inside a large room with 10 rows of heavy wood long desks.

    "Yes, thank you for leading me."


    She bows and then leaves.


    On the way here I was quite surprised that the entire building is just thousands of interconnected magic tools or enchanted items. Each room has a magic tool that expands the space of the room. The hallways are enchanted bricks to increase durability and every couple of bricks is one that is also a magical tool that uses mana, casts clean once a day and then automatically gathers mana again. The stairs are a magic tool that restores the person walking on them. Each of these desks has durability increasing enchants and the chairs have a magic tool for temperature control.


    The price would normally be insane to gather this many tools and enchanted bricks, but the mages guild has a training program to train the <enchanting> and <magic tool craftmanship> skills. The price of the training program is the guild will use all your products created from your training and you will work for the guild''s production center for a year.


    I walk to the back corner of the room and sit in the corner as all the other examinees fill in from the front row back.


    40 minutes later


    A woman wearing a long robe with a concealment effect enters and shouts to gather everyone''s attention.


    "Okay, everyone, look down here! We will hand out the test to determine your base ranking of the magic guild. It will determine your basic knowledge of magic circles, magic history, magic detection, magic tool creation and more you have until dark. Oh yeah, dark today is 20:00 so you have plenty of time."


    Well, this is once again my specialty, information, I memorized everything in every library I have ever visited. I could never learn skills but I was great at learning everything else while on my adventure I have visited all of the ten different Sage Towers and memorized every single page of all the tens of thousands of books in there. I could have even been a sage candidate...but I had... absolutely... no magic talent. None what so ever it was depressing. I had a bit of mana but I couldn''t fire a single attack spell.


    The woman finally makes to my row and puts the test in front of me.


    I made my way through the test... but it was to easy all the questions on the first fourth of the test could be answered by anyone who passed the first layer of the sage towers.


    The second quarter was magic history this was a bit difficult as there were a few names I didn''t recognize but I could use the process of elimination.


    The next half of the test was various miscellaneous magic skills and tidbits. It was hard but still manageable, that was until the last question. Like, seriously what is this. It is a question on the construction of the building, it basically wants an 80% accuracy blueprint from scratch.


    2 hours later


    I walk up to the front and drop the test in front of the professor looking person sitting at the big guest take the food with my name label and head to my desk.


    I ate it quickly it was a good but not great sandwich and went to sleep waiting for Mr. prof. to grade it. This should allow me to have an hour nap.

    The thieves guild is sadly a necessary evil but it lowers the amount discord in the slums and it does pay a large amount of taxes. It works on a system of trust, if you steal something the will sell it and as long as you did not kill someone and were not caught. Even I sometimes use their services to catch criminals who murdered a few people. Few people can have the same information network.


    However it is not perfect so I have to deal with a lot before inspections because you can''t give 100%, 100% of the time so I allow 80%, they still call me a slave driver though.


    I open the letter.

    Seriously it looked like an entire fuckin 10 civilitations worth of knowledge was shoved in there. It so big that it had too much information it almost crashed my system. Not only that there wasn''t any suitable base high ranking monster bodies laying around that wouldn''t just die from his soul being set in. I mean not even my current body would be able to handle it.


    So to relive myself from finding a strong body I just threw his in to a low ranking monster that could take any soul no matter what just to take it off my hands, but what the hell did he become.


    I mean his soul was a fuckin mess I throw it into a random body haphazardly and boom on his second evolution he''s gold rank by the time he is on his sixth evolution won''t he be as stong as me!


    Well, anyway it''ll be entertaining seeing him meet with his reincarnated senpai. Though said senpai has long gone so insane that it hears voices in its head and is dealerious most of then time.


    Hmm, well, I''ll watch for now after all it was just an experiment to see the effect of reincarnation with memories intact and adding stain by giving an monster evolution booster to a human soul.


    Will he become a monster in the truest sense or will he remain human? Will he crack? If so how long till he cracks?


    I never get tired of this, playing with life, watching gods scramble searching for a way to stop monsters. Watching Mikos lose faith, seeing monster realizing they are a filth and fighting gods to make a place for themselves. Mad men searching for immortality, Cultivators thinking they are the strongest just to choke on their own pride and fall. The struggle of life never ceases to amaze me no matter how many millions of mellenia, no matter which demension I watch .

    Everyone started talking to one another and spreading gossip, but I splendedly ignored all of it.

    I decided to wait to be the last one to leave but I was caught by miss blue hair.


    "Go to the Guild Masters office, you have been summoned."


    I make my way througth the maze and eventually reach the guild masters office and knock on the door.

    I sit and wait till she''s done, playing the word chain game with Tyrhrung.

    I get up and follow her out and we proceed home while having an idle conversation.

    At the house we go to the dinning room eat dinner go to bed.

    I quickly duck and dive out of the guild and make my way to west side of the city which is the merchant district.


    I put up my hood and walk out to main street.

    Tyrhrung is enjoying herself but I''m not. I got some money given to me for the payment of the dungeon capture and saving Cecily, but nothing here catches my attention. It is all appearance and no functionality.


    "Tyrhrung I''m done looking at this I going to check some less popular stores and those away from main street."

    "Yeah, but isn''t special. All the jewelry is made of silver it is well made but it isn''t a magic tool. the swords are made of magic metal but they are casted. The armor is well made with many techniques but they prioritize in production speed.

    I enter inside a store that has no decoration and the weapons have no flair.


    ...But the swords are perfect the material is perfectly uniform. Each sword has a different gimmick...some better then others.


    I take a look around looking for material to look for a material to upgrade Tyrhrung through the alchemy spell {Weapon Sacrifice Revival} combed with {Fusion} to have a sword take some of the properties of another.


    It didn''t take long for a girl came out from the back "Don''t just dilly dally, purchase something or leave."


    Gut feeling tells me this is the person who made all this. I decided to show off a bit and pulled one of the gimmicks swords off her shelf that will shoot the blade and have it explode and comes with a spell to create new blades on its own from earth magic.


    "This sword is well done but the gimmick could be simplified by changing the magic stored in the gem in the pommel to an altered version of {earth spear} instead of a {earth control}, and {harden} spell."


    "But won''t that cause a problem with the durability or mana cost?"


    "No not if you set it up to be altered by image of the user and it also means that someone who didn''t understand it enough couldn''t use it. If that was the case you could just sell the original but I doubt the craftsman in you would let you sell it to some one who couldn''t bring out it''s full power."

    "True to understand the true meaning of making tools is to see someone use them to their fullest potential. Like a chef with a knife, or an adventurer with a weapon that has a weird out of this world gimmick!"


    She says it with some weird aura like a fanatic coming from her. It seems that this person like anything that isn''t what a normal weapon should be. We should get along.

    After finishing explaining what I am looking for she says that she will have to make it and some of the processes for the metal and monster materials seems interesting so she''ll test some things out then get to me and tell me approximate cost for a commission since she doesn''t have what I need.


    I leave the store because she seems to be roaring to go.


    "Ahh, by the way what is your name?"


    "You''re right I forgot to tell you. It''s Corona."

    It is late so I go home and report my adventure to everyone, and they seemed interested in Corona.

    The next day


    I get ready and go down stairs and eat with Tyr.


    "Anything you would like to do today." I was asked by Freya.


    "Yes I plan to go to the adventurer guild and take a quest."


    "Really, well I think you be fine but I suggest a herb gathering request to get used to the area. Maybe you can party with some iron classes and teach them some swordsmanship."


    Believe it or not, this is a normal practice for adventurers. Herb gathering requests are always on the board and normally taken by copper and iron rank adventurers, however when a higher rank adventurer goes to a new city he will take a request and party with low rank adventurers to teach them combat while the low rankers teach the geography.


    "I can use more then just swords so I can give pointers on other weapons."


    "Really I have only seen you use swords though."


    Now that I think about it I only have swords skill in my status but I have the necessary knowledge so if I did a light practice with those weapons I''d probably get the skills.

    "Yeah I''ll take a request then I will take tomorrow off and build a few things."


    "Alright, would you like to join me to go to the guild" This time Falium spoke up.


    "This time I''ll go alone. I still need to get used to the town."


    "Well then, I''m late so see you later."


    He gets up and leaves while waving and Freya follows while saying good bye.


    I go to the smithy first and pull out metals I have been making with spare mana and energy here and there.


    First I pull out storm attribute magic iron and some Elgante tree seeds, and a rare material that I only handled once and don''t have much information on. I is actually a type of clay but it is full of mana and held by the top of the druids. It is called ''Star Fall Clay'' it is used by the high druid council to raise spirit tree clones into staffs. I don''t understand the process of those staffs but it will be great in the processing of these throwing daggers to possibly make a named Item.


    Well let start!


    First I heat up all the storm attribute magic iron and shape them into the basic dagger shape. I let them cool down but while I do that I prepare the ''Star Fall Clay'' and put an Elgante seed into it. after I cooled down I grind it down into a rough shape and put the clay on the handle and fuller and heat treat it then I quench in ibil weed oil and repeat three times. When I finish making twenty of the knives I take a wet stone to them to sharpen them.


    After I finish all the knives and enchant them with {Barrier Piercing}{Iron Blade}{Auto Repair} I fill it with mana and from the remains of the clay the seeds grow and shape the handle while fusing into the blade.


    But this is not enough to make a named weapon you must also make some thing to hold them. I pull out some of the demi-ogre hide and tan it using alchemy and cut it into sections using wind magic.

    I first alter my robe creating strings that are interlaced in between all the layers and once on the outside during this time I also make a magic circle in the interlocking threads copying Cecily''s coat. I put in tons of durability enhancements and a single camouflage one.


    I use threads to mimic muscles through out my body use cores as joints and compressed slime as bones. I feel as power goes into my body, I use memorization to understand the current structure and try out a few variations quickly based on monsters and felines memorizing and taking that info processing it to make an even better version for about twenty minutes before realizing that is not why I was here so I produce string using mithril spider web but use storm attribute magic iron dust to make string that can be used for the current project.


    I put everything together and it starts glowing and I wait and use appraisal on it. I wonder what name it will have I made it with a tree as the focus due to getting Elgante seeds.

    Named weapons only come about in to ways one the owner is strong and gives a name to the weapon, the other is the gods doing it due to some reason but for weapons named by the god they will sell for a mountain of gold to the church or top class adventurers. They do it for quality or on a whim sometimes but the weapon will never break only dull but it can be sharpened by someone skilled enough.


    Ah, recently I only look at Tyrhrung''s status when looking at a weapon, I totally forgot this is what appraisal of weapons should be like. Well she has been sleeping since I started.


    That took about an hour lets go to the guild most people should have already grabbed their quests lets go on our first adventure.

    I make it to the adventurer guild and go inside. I go to the request board to look for a herb request which should be towards the bottom. I find permanent requests for some for demon grass, and ibil weeds so I take the request number to the receptionists.


    The way to take requests changes for each country but the most popular is taking a request number to the receptionist and checking that it hasn''t been taken by someone in another nearby guild or that you can''t be paid by the employer.


    But permanent requests can have any number of people and always is paid by the guild not by requesters as the guild can transfer it even if there is no one who can use it nearby.


    There are guilds that have you take papers from the board and then hand it to the receptionists but that was inefficient and messy so it is only used in small branches now.


    "I''d like this request and are there some copper ranks who will party for a day?"


    "Let me check... Yes, go to the bar there is a blond girl who''ll party."


    "Thanks."


    I go to the bar and see the blond hair girl who seems upset as she is surrounded by some drunks.

    I''m already tired of this I was an adventurer for a long time, this happens quite often it''s honestly faster to knock them out then handing them to guild staff to let them cool off in the back room.

    I flash step behind them and strike once on the base of the back of the neck instantly knocking the faceless mobs out. I call over a bouncer and have him take them to the back room and walk to miss blondie.

    "Ahh, it''s you the slime from the rumor! I''m Janice Mice, I''m a monster evolution and environment researcher! Nice to meet you!"


    She seems to be... high energy. Researchers normally part of the mages guild exclusively and normally have a more despair-ridden appearance. She is quite a rare creature... I''m not good with this type. Especially now that I am the subject that is the sample.


    She is looking at me like a starving person would look at a 6-star dish that no matter how much you eat you can never be fully satisfied and the food will never run out.


    "Can I have somebody samples? Or maybe your evolution conditions? Oh, Can I have a full life story even better if you have a diary?... blah blah...etc"


    She started asking questions without waiting for answers.


    "I''ll let you have a body sample if you have somewhere to put it, but I won''t tell you the rest. If you keep talking you won''t ever get our quest done, so I''d like it if you calmed down."


    "Ahh, Sorry. Yes, I have a jar in my space pouch so after you give it I''ll store it and we can leave afterward."


    I hope to get it over with by handing over a part of my body and then drag her out before she gets sidetracked examining ''the samples''.

    We leave the city without major issue and go to the nearby forest and we run into goblins.


    "I''ll let you kill them any way you''d like this time and I''ll tell you how to improve."


    She pulls out a wand and starts chanting.


    "Fire spirit, Ifirit, obey my will form a spear and pierce my enemies!"{Fire Spear}


    The fire spear was well aimed but because of the chant, the goblin tried to dodge so instead of hitting the heart it only hit the lungs but she didn''t delay from missing her target. She dashed forward and used her staff and uses it to piece the throat of two others.


    "Flowing water spirit, Undine, I wish for you to form a blade and slice those who defy me!"{Water Cutter}


    The water cutter was fired right on target and decapitated the last two goblins.


    "How come you chant while using magic?"


    As long as you have a magic manipulation there is no real need to chant in anything aside from ritual magic and some summoning magic.


    "I don''t have the magic manipulation skill because I''m self-taught."


    I''m not going to think about how broken her skill set must be. She has to have alchemy skills but without <magic manipulation>... just how did that happen. To make most potions or magic medicine you need the magic manipulation skill. She probably has other production based skills but they won''t show their true worth without the <magic manipulation>.


    It is like having a cultivator without Qi manipulation.


    I sighed "Okay come here I''ll teach you the magic manipulation skill. Give me your hands."


    She obediently put both her hands forward and then I take them.


    "Close your eyes and try to feel the sensation that''s going through you."


    I run my mana from my hand into hers and guide it through her mana circuit to her other hand and back into me.

    Then we head back to the city when we run into...a huge red sub-dragon. It looks like a flare dragon. The flare dragon isn''t very ferocious and won''t attack first in most cases but they love the taste of slimes. Currently I have fourteen cores and I have an entire demi-ogres worth of meat my only chance of survival is forcing a stampede. They are easy to tame compared to other dragons.


    A stampede occurs when a slime eats a boat load really quickly and keeps it self from splitting forcing it to split rapidly. afterward it causes the status ailment <Weakness>. If I go below five cores I''ll use a stampede to get more cores honestly my only chance of survival is taming this.


    I alter the cores that I''m going to sacrifice with a magic circle to make them into a one time use magical tool that causes <Mental Weakness>.
