《Wicked Enigma》 Prologue 10,000 years ago, the mightiest human, emperor of the human race, Hitogami, unleashed his most powerful magic upon the world. A spell of the highest rank, rivalling the destructive spell of the demon lord, and even stronger than the high elf¡¯s ancient spirit spell. The proud dragon race¡¯s draconic magic would be put to shame by this so called pathetic hairless monkey¡¯s magic trick. No one ever thought the weakest race, the human race would wield such power, that could threatens every other race in the world. Zephiria, the capital city of the dragon kingdom was destroyed in an instant, under the soaring flames that reached the sky. The smoke of the fire was enormous, shaped like a mushroom cloud, and the shockwave of the explosion was enough to topple a castle as if it was a stick, yet alone a small house. The death toll reached more than a hundred thousands. Even after a few month, the land which was once a huge metropolis, was left barren with a huge crater. The land was thought to be cursed due to horrifying illness that strucks the survivor that lives hundreds of mile from the capital city. Even worse, anyone who comes close to the former capital city will be cursed by illness; enlarged body parts, blood exploding out of their skin, and any pregnant mother would give birth to an offspring cursed with hideous appearance. This destruction could be easily explained by a normal highschool student in the current time. Yes, this was the power of an atomic bomb explosion and the radioactive residue. However, 10,000 years ago, no one knew of this physic concept except for the human race. The secret of this destruction was never known to the other race ever since. With the destruction of capital city Zephiria, it can be easily interpreted as an attack and a war declaration from the humans against the dragons. However, the dragon wasn¡¯t given any chance to recover after the first attack. The emperor unleashed his magic again, this time destroying five more dragon cities. The magic shield spreading across the dragon cities wasn¡¯t enough to stop the destructive power of the magic spell. The only dragon city left standing was the flying city Widgar but with the damage and casualty, the dragons can only declare defeat to the humans. In only 3 month, human race which was known as the weakest race in the world forced the dragon race, the world strongest race, to kneel down to them. The other races; the elf, the dwarf, the demons and the other 5 races, all quivered by the humans immense power. Although they only act behind the scene; sending spies for recons and reinforcing their defence, they can only watch the war between the humans and dragons as to not provoke any of them. However, after the dragons raised their white flag, the humans declared war against all other races in the world. The human emperor announced that he can unleash the spell ten time consecutively and can recover for a week until the next cast. The emperor also declared that he would not cast the spell on the race who surrendered. In the end no race wanted to raised their arms to fight back the human, so a treaty was formed. With a one-sided treaty, the humans demand: 1. Only the human can live in this world(the real world) 2. The dragons will be living in another realm by themselves and are not allowed to have contact with other races 3. The rest of the races are to live in a mirror world identical to the real world and are not allowed to enter the real world 4. Immediately return after the dragon is subjucated. 10. This rules can only be dissolved by the blood line of the human emperor Hitogami The fairies demand: 1. The destructive magic spell created by the human emperor Hitogami are forbidden to be casted on the denizen of the mirror world as long as the treaty is applied. 2. The destructive magic spell created by the human emperor Hitogami can only be learned by the descendent of the human emperor Hitogami and the descendent of Hitogami¡¯s strategist, Aruka. 3. The humans are not allowed to enter the mirror world without permission 4. All races in the mirror world are free to live their life however they want 5. The fairies will only swear their blood oath to the human choosen by themsel In the end , the emperor only allowed the fairies to make their demand due to their strategical use. The fairies still kind-heartedly protects the other races with the demand. As for their strategical use, fairies have the ability to create a world, a mirror world specifically. This can be used to ¡®imprisoned¡¯ the other races and claim the real world for humans only. Secondly, fairies can swear a blood oath to any other race to give them better affinity to magic and special skill. Lastly, since the mirror world was created by the fairies, they have more power in the mirror world than in the real world. After 10,000 years, this rule was forgotten by the humans, the other races have naught become myth and fantasy. The descendent of the human emperor Hitogami, was now lost. Unknown whether the blood line has truly end, or mixed in with the blood of billions of human race in the world. The fairies really didn¡¯t know as to when was it lost, since the emperor have never make contact with any fairies after the treaty was formed. As to some fairies, some speculate that the emperor¡¯s descendant was assassinated by the fanatic of some races that manage to enter the real world. However, on the year 1945, the speculation ended. The fairies witnessed the horrifying destruction once again, the drop of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Eventhough it was used to end the war, but traces of magic was presence before the atomic bomb detonated, ripling the rift between the three world.The fairies once again, believed that the descendant of the human emperor is still there. ¡°Another impending war between the races might erupt again¡­¡± Writers note:- Hey, for those of you who recognised this fiction before, i''ve created a new account to continue this fiction. The old fiction was so badly written that i decided to start from scratch. And for those who just started reading this, i hope you like this story and please do look forward for the next chapter. If you have any suggestion on my writing style pls do tell me. I know i have a lot more to improve on this.. Chapter 1: How The Story Begins Morning Speech¡­ ¡®Hmph, they think that would hurt me?! Those arrows are just for shows, it didn¡¯t even leave a scratch on my skin.¡¯ Another offender ran towards me with his hands on the side and his body slightly bowing. It made me remember some ninja anime running style. Why do they really have to run like that? In mere 3 seconds, he closed the 100 meter distance between us and kicked the ground. I knew what he was going to do and swiftly evade his flying kick by bending my body backwards. I should really wear some black glasses while I¡¯m at it. Still not giving up, the offender readied his stance and starts throwing punches. This is still easy for me, I parried his punches with one hand while the other hand rested comfily in my pocket. The next punch was a left hook and I immediately get close to him. Close enough that my face was a few centimetre to his face. Before his left hook could connect, I hold his body tight. This way the left hook could only connect to my body, which was still not that strong. ¡®Wait, why am I hugging this guy?!¡¯ Slam! His body shocked as it hit the ground. I threw him backwards, the style that the wrestler always used to K.O their opponents. The offender slowly stood up with his hand on the head, probably trying to detect if there was any bleeding. Still, that throw was quite strong but that wasn¡¯t enough to take him down. I am probably underestimating this guy too much. While I was deep in thought to try finding a way to one-hit K.O him, he started to inhale deeply. Even when I thought that was the maximum amount of air he could breath in, he still keeps on inhaling until his stomach starts to swell up. I had a bad feeling about this, so I readied my stance as I await of the next move to come. Then he stopped. . . . ¡°BRINGGggGgGgGGGgggg!!!!!!!!!¡± What the heck?! How could he make such sounds. Isn¡¯t this ringing sound?! My mind was fading away and light starts to pour into my eyes. ¡°RiiiiIIIingggggg!!!¡± I woke up from my slumber. Still half asleep, I tried to sit up. ¡°¡­that was a nice fight¡± I mumbled. ¡°What fight? Are still half-asleep? Your alarm has been ringing for a few minutes now, and you just didn¡¯t wake up. Come on, dismiss those alarm, its noisy.¡± I unconsciously follow what the voice says. Fully regained my consciousness, I look up, ¡°Good morning Mom¡­¡± wearing a t-shirt with a jean, she looks as mearily as ever. ¡°Hurry and get up already. You¡¯re going to be late for school.¡± The same as usual, morning speech by Mom. I stood up, took my towel and wrap it around my neck as if it was a scarf. ¡°Hey! Make your bed before you go,¡± shouted Mom. ¡°I¡¯ll make the bed after my shower. I might need it again, if I¡¯m still sleepy.¡± I replied as I walk to the door. ¡°What, you¡¯re going to sleep again after the shower? Fix that bad habit of yours!¡± Her morning speech today is quite long, and loud too¡­ ¡°Anyway, what are you doing in my room?¡± I asked as I opened the door. ¡°What you ask?! How would I not! You¡¯re shouting so loudly in your sleep that I could hear it from the kitchen!¡± she looked at me crossing her arms. ¡°¡­.ehhh, seriously? What was I even dreaming about¡­well whatever.¡± I muttered embarrassingly And so both of us went out of the room together. I went directly to the bathroom while Mom went to the kitchen. As I locked the bathroom door, I sat on the toilet, naked. Pondering, why mom hang a door sign saying bathroom when there is no bath tub in here¡­lol. Anyway, I need to take shower soon. As I turn the pipe, water sprays out of the shower head. The water was freezing cold! Of course it is, its 5.30 in the morning, I turn on the heater and switch the temperature gauge to the max. The water gets warmer and warmer until it was slightly stinging my skin. It¡¯s the perfect temperature for me. This feeling, it¡¯s heavenly. The calming effect of warm water is superb, it was as if I am going to sleep again. I closed my eyes, slowly my consciousness swept away. At some point, I felt the water droplets slowly dripping down from my body, I felt every single water droplets, as if it was a part of me. Still half conscious, I open my eyes slowly, there I saw, the water droplets weren''t falling. The water droplets was floating, no it¡¯s actually rising up slowly, as if defying gravity. I put my hands up, to the height of my head. The water droplets suddenly moves around my hand, making a constant swirl, those swirl remind me of the twisting of the Deoxyribonucleic acid. Swiftly, the water swirls, twirls, and twists in a helix chain majestically¡­ ¡°Harry!!! How long are you going to shower!! The time is almost 6 o¡¯clock already!!¡± with that shout ,I regained my consciousness. Curses, what was I doing in the bathroom for that long, I guessed I nod off in there. Maybe the water was so warm that I felt sleepy, I should remember to use cold water next time. Quickly I wore my school uniform and took my bag. I had to swallow my breakfast whole. ¡°So, who¡¯s going drop me to school? I don¡¯t see Dad around, is he still sleeping? And I saw brother is still sleeping in his room¡± I asked as I tied my shoes. ¡°Your Dad just came back from travelling last night, of course he would still be asleep. Your brother¡­*sigh*¡­is probably too lazy to drive. In the end, it¡¯s me who will be the driver that will have to send the family¡¯s prince to school¡± mom lets out another sigh. ¡°¡­ehhh, I didn¡¯t realize Dad went for a business trip. Hmm, did you just call me prince? Am I that troublesome?! T^T¡± I said sulkingly ¡°I wish you could just walk to school in the morning, you didn¡¯t have any problem walking back from school, what is so hard about walking to school in the morning?¡± mom asked me grumpily as she wears her coat. I looked at mom and explained ¡°The fact that I¡¯m always late is the reason I don¡¯t want to walk to school in the morning. I walk back home because there will be no arriving late problem¡± ¡°*sigh* fine¡­I¡¯ll get the car key, hurry up and finish your breakfast.¡± Lazy Class Rep *pant*pant* wow, I never thought Mom would drop me off three blocks away after seeing the long car jam in front of the school drop off zone. At least I make it in time with a few minutes to spare. I went to the school canteen and bought a mineral water, I chugged half of the mineral water to get rid the dry feeling in my trout. My class will be on the 2nd floor of the opposing block, the Mesipian block. As I started climbing the stairs, a familiar voice called out to me ¡°Harry, it¡¯s a rare occasion to see you coming to school early, you even went to the canteen to hang around. Rare occasion indeed,¡± the person nodding affirmly with his own narration was my friend, Maru. I hate to admit it but he was one of the famous guy in school because of his good looks. There was once, the principal decided to put up a voting for the ¡®The Handsome Prince Ranking¡¯ of all year 5 students where only the female teachers and the students from the neighbouring all-girls school were allowed to vote. Maru was ranked 3rd and also one of my classmate, Isaac, was ranked 4th. I was quite confident with myself at that time but only get ranked 24th out of 240 students. ¡°Shut up! What are you doing here, aren¡¯t you the school prefect, you¡¯re supposed to be taking the name of the late comers at the school gate,¡± I said as I stare at him. ¡°Well, there is that one guy in front of me.¡± ¡°I¡¯m early today you dic*head, do your job properly!¡± ¡°Ha ha ha, I don¡¯t want to hear that from you Harry. I¡¯m just following the footstep of a certain class representative, ditching the task that have been given is his specialty. I¡¯m just mimicking him.¡± he snorted. I know for the fact that he was referring to me. ¡°@:$¡±@:%>¡± veins start popping on my forehead as I shout some random cursing words. ¡°Harry, under the school rules, section 8, paragraph 3, cursing the school prefects will be given 10 demerits with 2 spanking on the buttock or 4 caning on the palm.¡± Maru opened his small pocket-sized notebook, ready to write down my name. ¡°Maru, it seems my fate to meet the disciplinary teacher is a given, I found it amazing to see a prefect supposedly stationed at the school gate is standing here, I guess I should also conclude the place where you caught me cursing you¡­¡± I snorted, trying to threaten him back. ¡°Harry, since you¡¯re my friend, I will give you a warning for your first violation of the rules. You should thank me for my generous heart. Hahahahaa!!¡± he said and patted my back. This guy just always finds a way to piss me off. ***** I¡¯m finally in the class, and the class feels empty as always. The reason to that is because three quarter of the class is the school prefect. At this time of the morning, the prefects are busy with their duty, ¡®hunting down¡¯ late comers and problem makers. Although some of them were my friends but still, It¡¯s my natural enemy because I always arrived late. As I greet the remaining classmate I sat down on my chair. A pile of papers was stacked up on my table, and a note was stapled on one of the paper. ¡®Pass these form to your classmate, I want all of the form to be filled in and hand in today. You will be collecting all of it and hand in to me. I won¡¯t be in the class during homeroom, so get the class¡¯s attendance for me. ¨CMs.Alen. p.s don¡¯t you dare give all work to assistant class rep.¡¯ I thought I would relax a bit during homeroom, now a pile of work was in front of me. Well, even if I want to let the assistant class rep do the work, he isn¡¯t around though, probably absent. I breathed in and sighed heavily. ¡°What¡¯s with the heavy sigh so early in the morning? Looks like a pile of work have descended upon you. Hehehehe.¡± That voice was so soothing I nearly thought it was an angle. ¡°Ari~ I¡¯m so happy to hear your voice in the morning!¡± I said happily raising my hands. Maybe because of the pile of paper, I didn¡¯t notice Ari was putting his head down on the table next to me. Since the class seating was in pair, Ari sits a pair with me. My seat was the genuine anime MC¡¯s seat, which was the furthest seat next to the window. ¡°Hehehe, glad you¡¯re happy. Vice Inchou isn¡¯t around so I can I¡¯ll help you with that.¡± Ari said as he winked at me. Well I know he called the assistant class representative as vice Inchou and he sometimes called me Inchou which means class representative. ¡°gyahhh!! You¡¯re always so kind to me Ari~, can we go on a date someday¡± I said as I lend my hand to him. ¡°..ehhh, w-what are you talking about! I just want to help okay!¡± Ari flustered as I teased him. No matter how you see him, he doesn¡¯t look like a guy, I would say he looked more feminine than any girl that I have met. His black hair was long enough that he would sometime tie it like a pony tail exposing his bare smooth neck. He have a fine face that does not resemble a guy, his round upturned eye was beautified with light brown pupil and long curled eye lashes, his check was soft and flushed with light pink colour, his mouth was small and her lips was moist-cherry coloured. Definitely everyone''s type of girl. Even his voice sounded very soft and feminine. Although he always acted to look very masculine but he always ended up looking like a cute little girl. This was the definite law of the ¡®anime traps¡¯. In this all-boys school, this is my only chance to tease such a cute creature like this, so I hold his hand ¡°Ari~, so you really don¡¯t want to go out with me. Am I not good enough?! Is this the so called rejection of life?! I¡¯m saddened to no end!! Why have I been given such despair!!!¡± I said which I copied from some drama that I watched yesterday. Ari was surprised and flustered ¡°..b-b-but its different, I don¡¯t mind hanging out with y-y-you, but it¡¯s d-d-different you know, it¡¯s not a d-date, it¡¯s just normal outing right?!¡± his cheek was bright red as he didn¡¯t know what to do. My heart suddenly jumped as I look at him panicking. ¡®Curses! If only this cute creature was a girl!!¡¯ ¡°Hahahaha, calm down Ari, I¡¯m just joking. You looked cute when you¡¯re panicking.¡± I said as I calmed him down. ¡°Hmph! I hate it when you¡¯re teasing me like that. I changed my mind on helping you later, do it yourself.¡± Sulking Ari also looks cute, it was still a reward for me. ¡°Sorry about that Ari, but I can¡¯t do this thing alone. Help me please!¡± ¡° I don¡¯t think you¡¯re apologising honestly though.¡± he paused and continued ¡°*sigh* I¡¯ll help, but you will be teaching me maths after school.¡± ¡°¡­ehhhh!! Why do we have to study after school?! I¡¯ll treat you to lunch instead.¡± I said lazily. ¡°No, I brought food from home. The exam is just around the corner, I really need you to teach me the differentiation and integration. Seriously, just how did you get second placing in the last test ranking. Filling in the Form After the bell rang, everyone went to their respective seats except for Maru who was standing in the middle of the class. Ari also went up to the teachers table as I gave him portion of the form and we started distributing it. ¡°Okay everyone please fill in the form and hand in to me as soon as you¡¯re done.¡± I shouted to them as they were chit-chatting amongst themselves. I went and sit down on the teachers seat since its a lot more comfy than my own chair. ¡°Hey Inchou, don¡¯t you think you should go through this form together?¡± Gerome raised his hand and asked. ¡°What is it four-eye? Do you really need me to write down your names in the form too?¡± I replied to him sarcastically as I find no reason to go through this form together. Maru then stood in front of me and shoved my form to my face, ¡°Lazy Inchou, I think you should go through this together because there is some fields that I don¡¯t know how to fill. Don¡¯t tell me you haven¡¯t even read it yet?¡± I pushed his hand aside and stare at him, ¡°What do you mean some fields you don¡¯t know Maru? Did you forgot your father¡¯s name?¡± I snorted back at him. As I looked at the form, it wasn¡¯t just a single paper form but a thin booklet that looks like a piece of paper. I hate to admit it but this form was definitely odd. The first page was filled with fields that resembles those character creation in RPG games and the rest of the pages was filled with small fonts which says terms and condition. The terms and condition was so long and small that if you look from afar it would look like a page filled with lines. Just who the heck thinks that all these 17-year-old boys would read this whole thing. There was also a space to write a signature at the end of the terms and conditions. The paper for the form itself looked old with the colour slightly brownish and the texture was rough. Looking at the front page of the form was quite simple; *Name:____________________ *Race:_____________________ *Profession:_________________(eg, Knight, Hunter, Cleric) *Special Skill(s): (eg; forgery, equipment enchantment) *Party members: *Guild:_______________ Aside from the fields in the form, there were also some kind of crest or emblem on every page of the form. It also looks so much like in RPG games with circular shape with bows shield sword and a staff in the middle of the crest or should I say emblem. I guessed there was a need to go through this form, ¡°Well I guess our great Maru here is right. Maybe I should go through this form together with you guys. For the¡­¡± ¡°Woahh! Our Lazy Inchou is doing his job once in a while!¡± someone started yelling, ¡°Woohooo!!¡± and another one continues¡­ ¡°This is a rare occasion! Lets partyyy!!¡± and another one, which I think is Maru¡­ ¡°OHH YEAHH!!¡± ¡°¡°Let¡¯s get this PARTY GOINGGGG!!!*opens shirt*¡± ¡°*animals sound*¡± ¡°*Twerk*Twerk*¡± ¡°Marry me Ari!¡± ¡°wahahaha-WAHAHAHAHA!!!¡± ¡°Wha- no! Why should I?!¡± ¡°woot-woot!!¡± ¡°*flips table*¡± ¡°*bang chairs*¡± ¡°*climbs wall*¡± Before I could finish my sentences my started to have some kind of a hysteria and I can even hear Ari¡¯s voice being flustered. I sat down and started filling in the form with most of my classmate doing some crazy things. This is one of the reason why I rarely do my job as the class rep properly¡­ ***** As I waited for my classmate to finish their daily hysteria attacks, I have completed my form while leaving some parts. Before I knew it, Ari was already sitting next to me. He probably was running away from those hysterical classmates to fill in the form. Can you fill all the things that you can fill first before we go through some of the fields together.¡± I stood up and asked. Maru was still standing up and replied, ¡°We have already filled the necessary parts, I think everyone only left the Party and Guild part empty.¡± ¡°Wait you¡¯re done? You guys were going all crazy just now, how did you-¡± since I thought thinking those kind of thing is pointless, I let out a sigh and continued, ¡°Nevermind, lets just continue then¡­¡± For the party part, since there were only allowed for 5 members per party so we can have 7 party in this class. Since assistant class rep was absent there will be total of 35 students in the class and a full 7 party. So I ordered the class to form a party among themselves. I also reminded them to bear in mind the balance of profession in their party. And so, the party creation was successful without anyone going crazy again; My Party: 1) Me [Necromancer Ninja] The other party such as Gerome(High Wizard) was quite balanced with Isaac as a Paladin and Joe as an assassin. The only party was quite inbalance was Darren¡¯s party with most of them are of supporting roles. Even one of them set their profession as engineer. Well it wasn¡¯t wrong too since engineer is also a real role in rpg games. After everyone was done filling in the form for the party members. I decided to went out of the class to meet with the classroom teacher, Ms. Allen, to ask about the last field when suddenly someone opened and slammed the door. ¡°Who was the idiot who made such a ruckus in this class!¡± Ms. Alen barged in and shouted. The prestigious 5 A(nimal) Class For some reason, I was standing on a chair at the corner. After Ms. Alen barged in, she babbled about something. I didn¡¯t really heard what she said because I was too focused on enjoying the view of Ms. Alen flushed angry face. She was sweating a lot though. Maybe because she ran all the way here from the staffroom, but she does not look like she was out of breath. Her shirt was wet due to sweat and starts to stick to her skin. Her body shape was showing as her shirt clings more the skin. The white shirt also starts to become translucent due to the sweat, enabling me to see some parts. Especially some plump looking bulge wrapped in a white bra. When she noticed my gaze, her face became as red as blood. That was how, I got my punishment. She went back to the washroom to change her clothes and went back to the class after the first period bell rang. Why am I the only one getting punished? I¡¯m sure my other classmates saw it too. First period was supposed to be Math, but the math¡¯s teacher was on a field trip to some other school. So Ms. Alen took the opportunity to take the first period and let us finish filling in the form. Since I still looked like I¡¯m sneering, I wasn¡¯t allowed to leave from my position. Does she hate my face that much? She was also scolding for so loud that the other classes complained to her. There was still that weird form though, so I asked her about it. ¡°Shishou, what was that other form, the one with the weird emblem. Is it for some game survey?¡± ¡°I don¡¯t know. The principal suddenly gave it to me. Looks like only our class got this form.¡± she said. That was really weird. I still thought that it was some game survey though. I usually called Ms. Alen shishou(Master). For some reason, the other classmate started to call her shishou too. Then she mumbled, ¡°¡­but why did I get that form too? I really don¡¯t understand.¡± Her voice were tiny but I could still make it out. ¡°¡­ehhh, you have that form too? Let me see. What¡¯s your profession,¡± I took her form and saw ¡®berserk healer¡¯. This made me remembered some anime with a girl using an estoc. ¡°Hey! Don¡¯t read it you idiot!! Go back and stand on the chair!!¡± she fiercely glared at me. I went back to stand on the chair and asked ¡°Did you fill in your party and guild? The rest of the class have already finished it. Only the guild part was left blank. It¡¯s just a survey for a game right? So I think we don¡¯t really have to fill in all of it in since it¡¯s not important.¡± ¡°Hmmm¡­ what party? There¡¯s no party in my form. Don¡¯t you think it¡¯s just the principal weird way of doing things?¡± I asked. Then Maru suddenly join in the conversation ¡°¡­here¡¯s the form shishou. So we¡¯re creating the guild huhh¡­ then shall we start naming it?¡± ¡°¡±¡±Yeah let¡¯s do that¡±¡±¡± the whole class agreed with Maru¡¯s suggestion. ¡°The ¡®A¡¯nimal should be good, since our class are called by that name¡± suggest Maru. ¡°NO!! Why do you even liked to be called by that. Since I will also be in the guild, you should reconsider on your naming sense. I think House of Tulip should be good,¡± ¡°Objection!! Why does it have to be Tulip of all the other flowers?! Shishou, the guild is made up of 36 male, a masculine name should be used instead.¡± Maru was backed by the classmate as he forced his opinion on shishou. At some point, they started to take this naming session seriously. I have no idea how things end up this way. I am sure it was just Maru trying to liven things up but it was really becoming very noisy. Surely, the other classes will start to complaint again. When I saw shishou was trying hard to make the class accept her opinion, I decided to just go with the flow. I sat on the chair I was standing just now and looked at my form. The race column was weird though. I wanted to write demon hybrid on it but, for some reason I cancel both of it and wrote human. Was it supposed to be that way? I¡¯m sure the others wrote some weird race like elf or angel. So I asked ¡°What did you all write for the race column?¡± Maru snorted and exclaimed ¡°Hmph, human of course. Are you not a human? Then you must be a sloth?! Hahahahaha!¡± This guy really knows how to get on my nerves. ¡°How about you shishou? What did you write?¡± ¡°Human of course, I wanted to write fairies but for some reason I feel like it was wrong. So I changed it.¡± Even after I asked them those question they still continued to quarrel on about the name for the guild. With the noise in the background I just sat and think hard on a good name. An idea suddenly popped out of my head, ¡°Then how about this, ¡®Enigmas of the Human¡¯ for our guild? Enigmas mean something that is puzzling, a mystery and cannot be fully understood. I think it suits us since we are the 5¡¯A¡¯nimal. Our weird way of doing things, and unique personality but yet we still grasp the best achievement. For the human, I think it¡¯s just that to say all of us are humans though. The suitable guild leader would be the home room teacher. How about it, shishou?¡± ¡°¡­ehhh, sure. I can be the guild leader but I want tulip, I think it¡¯s better.¡± ¡°Shishou, I have no idea why you are so obsessed with tulip. I think it just shows how immature you are. Again, I sit silently, and watch wild animals in their natural habitat. As for Shishou, she has already gotten used to this and she just sat down to take the attendance. Date at the Library? After everyone was done with their ritual, I collected the forms and hand it to shishou. Later I helped shishou to carry the forms to the principal. School finished as usual, at 2 o¡¯clock. After I put all my books and utensils in the bag, Ari tugged my sleeve ¡°Hey, you¡¯re not going home right? You promised to teach me maths later.¡± ¡°Yeah, I¡¯m going to teach you but we need to have lunch first.¡± I replied. ¡°ohhh, I said I brought lunch this morning. I have lots so you can have you¡¯re share.¡± ¡°Wahhh!! I¡¯m so happy that such a cute creature would share their cooking to me!!¡± ¡°Shhhh! You¡¯re too loud! By the way, my sister cooked this for me.¡± ¡°Really!! Then it¡¯s even better, to eat food cooked by such a beautiful teacher. It¡¯s just what I¡¯ve been dreaming for!!¡± ¡°¡­eehhh. I see..¡± suddenly Ari starts to pout. Then she continued, ¡°Anyway, I¡¯m going to be eating a lot today so you can only have a small portion. Hmph!¡± I can feel that he was acting cold towards me now. We went to the school¡¯s sitting area near the canteen and eat lunch there. He really meant what he said. He really did gave me a small portion. Since I was still hungry, I went to the canteen and bought some more food. As I was walking back to Ari, I saw some guys standing near him. Then one guy lend Ari some piece of paper while bowing down. Ari looked at it with wide eyes and he shocked his head. The guy lending the paper looked depressed while the other guys laugh. So I ran towards them. ¡°Oi¡­Do we have problems here!¡± I said in a menacing way. I have never seen their faces before. They must have been the 1st year student. They panicked as they saw me coming. ¡°S-shit, it¡¯s him. We¡¯re going home now, I¡¯ll meet you at the gate buddy.¡± One of the guy pat his friends shoulder and left with the others. The guy who was lending Ari the piece of paper was still in front of me. ¡°S-s-sorry. I didn¡¯t mean to disturb your friend.¡± He stumbled a bit and ran toward his friends. ¡°So what happened?¡± I asked Ari as I sat next to him. ¡°As usual. He wanted to give me a letter, but I refused. It was probably a love letter. Juniors these days are really brave huh.¡± ¡°Hehhh, its hard being famous huh. I really hope I will get a love letter someday.¡± ¡°Well, I hope you don¡¯t..¡± Ari said while giving a straight face. ¡°Wait, why?¡± ¡°Why are you so dense?¡± he muttered sillently ¡°What are saying suddenly?¡± ¡°Hmph¡­nothing!!.¡± he started to pout again. Well, Ari sure was famous. He gets many confessions and most of it was from males. All I could say was, they really fallen for a trap. No matter how you look at him, Ari definitely looks like a girl. He resembles her sister(the Shishou) a lot, only that he does not have the bust. Even the way he eats and talks right now was very feminine. I really understand their reasons for falling for this trap. ¡°Harry, you really scared him just now.¡± ¡°It¡¯s just the usual me okay. He¡¯s just afraid of me because of the rumour.¡± ¡°¡­but the rumour is true, isn¡¯t it?¡± ¡°*sigh* I know, but it¡¯s a long time ago.¡± Well it was not that long, it was just last year. That time, Ari was not very close to me. Like usual, he was asked to meet someone behind the school. He thought that it was just some guy wanted to confessed to him. I heard rumours as I walk around with Maru that the seniors wanted to see if Ari was really a guy. They really wanted to know, even if they have to strip his cloth off. At first, I did not feel like helping him. Since it sounds like a bully case, so the prefects should be handling it. However, realising that I used to be in the same situation, I ran to the back of the school. There, I saw Ari was shouting for help. The seniors were trying to forcefully rip his cloth off. I knew I needed to do something but the seniors outnumbered me six to one. Maru suddenly came up to me and saw the scene. He was not skilled at fighting, so my best hope was for him to search for the teachers while I try to hold off the seniors. However, he was determined to fight off the seniors with me. With that, both of us charged towards the seniors. They already noticed us and mocked us for acting like a hero. I shrugged off those mockery and readied my stance. Since I practised martial arts before and have lots of combat experience, I decided to take on four of them and leave the rest to Maru. I never intended to go easy on them, so the seniors were injured badly with broken nose and bruises all over their bodies. However, it was still 4 to 1, so I sustained quite an injury. Maru on the other hand, was quite formidable as he beat of two seniors even without any experience and knowledge of martial arts or self defence. Even so, his injury was comparison to mine and he was barely able to stand up properly. Ari was surprised at first but thanked both of us later. Since then, Ari have always been hanging around with me and Maru. The result of us beating the seniors was two weeks suspension. However, the principal did not think that the punishment was enough, so he forced us to join the prefect board. Maru accepted it without complain. On the other hand, I objected this idea so much that I decided to skip some classes. Shishou begged the principal to be lenient on my punishment but the principal¡¯s final decision was he gave me an option to become the class rep or to be expelled. In the end, I had no choice but to become class rep. As I was deep in thought, Ari called out to me ¡°Hurry up and finish your food. I want to start studying as soon as possible.¡± He packed up his lunch and stood up. Then he swiftly bite off my burger on my hand ¡°*munch*munch* I¡¯ll take a bite off your burger for every two seconds. So hurry up.¡± Seeing that, I chomped the burger whole and swallowed it after chewing it a few time. ¡°¡­w-what?! Did you just swallow that burger whole?!¡± Ari was surprised as he did not expected it. I have done this quite a lot since I was always late and I did chewed it a few time, so there was no worry of me getting chocked. I did not answer him and throw away the wrapping in the dustbin and took my bag ¡°Hurry up, didn¡¯t you want to start studying as soon as possible. I¡¯ll leave you behind if you¡¯re still dazing off.¡± He snapped off his surprised face then hurriedly ran up to me and pulled out two cans of soda. ¡°Here¡­my treat for agreeing to teach me.¡± He gave me one of the soda to me ¡°¡­ehhh, we haven¡¯t started studying yet and you¡¯re still giving me this. Anyway, thanks.¡± There were not many students in the library as we entered. I saw some of my classmates studying but I did not want to greet them since they might cause a ruckus seeing me and Ari together. I would not want them to go crazy in the library like how they did in the class. So we silently walked pass them. Luckily they did not noticed us as they were focusing on their books. Both of us went to the furthest part of the library where there was a nice woolly carpet for students to lay down. I lay down on the carpet after I took out my history book. Since there were three bean-chairs here, Ari sat on one because he was not used to studying while laying down. He started to do some maths question with the book on his lap. It felt so nice laying down on the woolly carpet that I feel too lazy to study. ¡°Ari, I¡¯m going to rest my eyes for a bit. If you have any question you can¡¯t answer just wake me up okay.¡± He replied by nodding his head. That was quite cute. With the history book open, I put it on my face to cover the bright fluorescent light above for a nice nap. Slowly my consciousness travel towards the dreamland. ¡®I, Ember Agarictree, fairies of the night luminated with fireflies and starry skies, have received your contract¡¯ What is this? ¡®Your desire of powerful dark ability..¡¯ am I dreaming ¡®..shall be granted by me.¡¯ Wait who are you ¡®thank your luck human..¡¯ this voice sounds like a girl ¡®..you have been blessed with my service¡¯ what are you talking about ¡®with my gift¡­¡¯ are you even listening to me? ¡®your dream will be an easy task to accomplish¡¯ is this what they call dream control? Because It felt like I¡¯m still conscious in the dream ¡®the only wall separating us will be the blood oath¡¯ hmm¡­where have I heard that before? ¡®I shall be in touch with you again tonight¡¯ what do you mean by ton¡­¡­ The dream starts to fade away as I was woken by something shaking me ¡°hey, wake up already!¡± Ari¡¯s voice made me rise up hastily. The book on my face fall down with a thud as I try to sit up. It took some time for my eye to focus and I saw Ari¡¯s face was so close to mine. He quickly backed away with blushing face. ¡°¡­ahhh, sorry I startled you. How long have I been sleeping?¡± I asked as I rubbed my wet eyes. ¡°I-its fine, you¡¯ve been sleeping for about an hour now. Here, I have lots of question I don¡¯t understand. Please teach me how to answer it.¡± ¡°Wow I¡¯m surprised you didn¡¯t asked any question for the whole hour. I thought you would ask me a few minutes after I dozed off.¡± ¡°You looked like you were sleeping soundly so I didn¡¯t want to wake you up. I finished all the questions I understand, and leave all the hard questions. So now I wake you up because it¡¯s time for you to teach me.¡± ¡°That¡¯s very kind of you Ari. Okay let¡¯s see the question.¡± As we cover through the question together I forgot about the dream. After another hour, we finished all the questions. There are still some question he don¡¯t fully understand, so I wrote all the working and formulas. I told him to try follow the working at home and if he still cannot understand then he can ask me again tomorrow. The library will be closing soon, so we packed our stuff and went out. On our way out, we stumbled with our classmate and like I predicted, they became crazy again. The librarian did not mind it and only laughed since we were the only students left. Then I walked with Ari to the staff¡¯s carpark and met with Shishou. She looked quite exhausted today so we did not chat long until I see them off. So I walked back alone. Using the usual route, I walked on the pathway as if it was second nature as I tried to remember something important in the library. The first thing I remembered was the scene where Ari¡¯s and my face were so close that I could actually felt his breathing. I shaked my head off as I tried to remember again and the thing that came in mind was my dream. It was vogue and unclear, I know there was something about that dream that I need to remember. However, I came out empty even until I reached my house. Chapter 2: Completion of the Oath Weird Vibes As I walked from the gate to the entrance, I saw Aunty watering the flowers in the garden. She noticed me and called out ¡°Welcome back Harry. Why did you come back so late?¡± ¡°Hey Aunty. I was studying with a friend at school.¡± I looked at the time and it was already past 6 o¡¯clock. It¡¯s still early for me though but since I always come back home at 2, no wonder why she thought that it was already late. She looked like she has something to say, so I went into the garden. ¡°I didn¡¯t see you this morning. Did you overslept?¡± I asked her. ¡°What? No! The only person that always overslept in this house is you. I just had some things to take care of.¡± Aunty also lives in this house though. She was my mother¡¯s older sister. This house belongs to my father, which was passed down to him by his father. It was a huge traditional house with up to 10 rooms which includes a huge garden. Aunty was not married even though she was already in her late 50¡¯s and also unemployed. So my father hired her as the housekeeper and gardener. Although Aunty was assigned to do all the housework, but my mother would not want to just sit around and do nothing. In the end, Aunty was only allowed to do the housework when mother was not around or if mother was sick. For now, aunty was only a gardener. ¡°Aunty, you looked like you have something to say.¡± ¡°No, how should I put it? Are you aware of ¡®her¡¯?¡± she points her finger behind me. ¡°What? I know Aunty will knock before she enters my room, so Aunty¡¯s presence was not a problem. Now I can watch those ¡®things¡¯ without getting found out. I let out a grin as I thought of the pleasure of watching it later. ¡°What are you grinning about? Ohhh¡­ it must be those ¡®things¡¯ that was in your laptop. I didn¡¯t know that you were into those kind of girls. Hahahaha.¡± My brother, Julius, suddenly came out of the living room. ¡°¡­ehhh, brother Ju, you¡¯re home. Now get me something to drink, I¡¯m thirsty.¡± After he told me that, he went back to the living room and sat on the sofa to watch the television. I know dad would not mind me watching those ¡®things¡¯ since he know teenagers could not hold off their new found life called puberty. The only problem was my mother. She would totally flip out and gave me a very long nag. I fear that she would even kick me out of the house and let me sleep outside for the whole night. Brother Ju had already been in that situation before when he was around my age. I just have to cope with it for one more year until I am legally allowed to watch those ¡®things¡¯. I grit my teeth as Brother Ju keeps on ordering me around until mother came home. During dinner, I felt the atmosphere was really awkward and I do not know if it was caused by my ¡®secret¡¯. I also saw brother Ju and Aunty keep taking glances on me. No, they are actually glancing at my shoulder, or maybe glancing behind my shoulder. I look around and saw nothing. Father was also not around, so I asked, ¡°Mom, where¡¯s Dad? Is he working late again?¡± ¡°He said he have something to take care of. I think it¡¯s not work though. Probably it¡¯s something else.¡± ¡°What do you mean by ¡®something else¡¯?¡± I asked as this really peaked my curiosity. ¡°You wouldn¡¯t understand, Harry.¡± mother said silently, barely audible. ¡°¡­huhh? Why?¡± She did not answer me but my brother did. ¡°Don¡¯t worry my brother, you will understand it soon enough.¡± ¡°Ararara, you noticed too, Ju?¡± Aunty who was quiet until just now suddenly speaks with her hand covering her mouth showing a tinge of surprise. ¡°What are you two talking about? Are you all keeping secrets from me?¡± it felt like I was being left out here. Then, brother drop a bomb on me while grinning, ¡°¡­more accurately, you are the one who¡¯s keeping a secret. Isn¡¯t it right, my beloved pervy little brother?¡± I did not dare to talk back and only continued eating silently after those few words. Despite that, the atmosphere was still weird for me. After that, everyone was silently eating their meals as I was confused by this conversation. ¡®..it will be soon.¡¯ Those few words lingered through my mind as I did my usual workout. 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, 100 squats and 1 kilometre jog. It was a workout inspired by my favourite anime. However, 10 kilometre was a bit too much so i shorten to 2 kilometre. These were the workout that I did at 9.30 every night. The temperature was nice and cold. After I finish all the sets, I went to the bathroom and take my shower. Even during my shower, those words still lingers through my mind. I cannot shake off the bad feeling coming from those words. Usually, I tend to shrugged off any weird and nonsense things but Aunty¡¯s words carry a weird vibe that I cannot let go. I should just give it another thought the next day. It was already almost midnight, and I was exhausted after the exercise. So I went back to my room. After a few minutes scrolling through my phone, I switched off the light and went straight to bed. ¡®*yawn*, why do I feel like something is going to happen.¡¯ Slowly, my consciousness drifted away into the dreamland. ¡®I have been waiting for you Harry Mills. I, Ember Agarictree, shall continue with the blood oath¡¯¡­ The blood Oath ¡°Gahhhhhhh!¡± I was woken up by a sudden pain and I groaned as my body aches as if it was being torn apart. In the midst of my agony I saw a small figure chanting some kind of a spell. The small figure had a body about the size of my palm. It was the same size as a doll that girls always play with, a barbie doll. From the looks of it, I knew it was a female, donning a dark purple dress with bright red lining. The dress¡¯ skirt was short exposing her bare white thin thigh. Her long red hair shines brightly as if it was burning like a small ember. Even though the top part of her face was covered by shadow, I was certain her face was very beautiful. Looking behind her, two pairs of transparent wing protruded out on her back. I have seen those wings a lot before. It looked exactly like the wings on a dragonfly. The small figure was floating in the middle of the room but her pair of wings were not flapping. After reading so many fantasy novels, I knew exactly that the small figure was a fairy. I tried to stand up but I cannot move my body. It was as if I was being held by some invisible force. After finishing her chant, she looked at me and said ¡°Harry Straty, I demand that you not resist my magic and let it enter your body freely.¡±Stolen novel; please report. I tried to speak up but another surge of pain reverberates throughout my body ¡°¡­what are you¡­Gahhhhhh!!¡± every inch of my body felt as if it was being stabbed by a knife. I could even feel my blood veins and arteries throbbing so much I thought that it would burst any moment now. The pain made me sweat profusely and my shirt was soaked with my sweat.¡°¡­hmm. Harry, I belittled you just now but now I think highly of you. I¡¯m surprised you have quite a large mana reservoir. It¡¯s going to take longer than I thought. Be prepared!¡± Suddenly she took out a staff from mid-air, the air warped inwards as the staff was pulled out. Then she began chanting again. The staff was made up of wood and the crystal embedded to it glows dimly along with the chant. I knew the surge of pain was going to continue and I struggled to free myself from the invisible force. ¡°Huhuhu, struggle as much as you like Harry. You would not even move an inch.¡± However, I was not even moving like what she said. I gritted my teeth and closed my eyes as I wait for the pains to come. *** ¡°Phew¡­ what¡¯s with your mana reservoir. It took me three hours to finish filling it even though its the same capacity as an average person. I tried to curse her for what she did but I do not have any more strength to speak up. The invisible force holding me down was finally gone. Due to the agony that I had to go through for the whole three hour, I laid down on the bed with my mind slowly fading away. It was cold, probably due to my soaked cloth absorbing my body heat. ¡°Well, next is my blood oath..¡± she said as she took out a small knife. She cuts her palm deep enough that blood starts to flow out. Then she drips a few drops of blood on my forehead. I felt the drops of blood flowing on my forehead. My body began to heat up. The warm sensation move down to my eyes, to the nose, around my mouth, down to the neck, across my body and ends at my feet. "Now, we are..." she said something however my mind was fading and my senses begins to dull down. Her words became a buzzing sound which I could not understand. Slowly my eye lid drop and I closed my eyes. *** I was in a white empty space. There I saw the girl that tortured me to oblivion, standing in front of me. The size of her body was not the small palm size anymore, but a normal human size. ¡°The blood oath was completed. Now I, Ember Agarictree, am now your faithful servant.¡± She said and kneels down to me. ¡°Prior to the contract, I shall grant you the skills once you have awaken from this dream.¡± The face she was showing right now looked innocent and her eyes were showing no hint of deceit. Slowly my anger cooled down. I carefully scan and examined her body. I did not get to see her properly in the room since it was quite dark. Her body was that of a middle school girl. Like I thought, her face was spectacularly beautiful. ¡°Listen here umm¡­Ember, this is a dream isn¡¯t it? So why am I able to talk to you?¡± ¡°Yes, this is a dream, my master. In the end most of the race surrendered cowardly. The humans expelled the other race out of the real world and got the fairies¡¯ help. Humans form contracts with fairies in order to gain magical power and are called ''Contractors''. However, contractors are few in numbers and only have authority and solve problems in the real world. Everything went well for 10 000 years, until about half a decade ago. At the end of World War 2, the drop of the atomic bomb baffled the fairies. They claimed that the destruction was almost similar to the human emperor¡¯s magic. The only difference was the emperor¡¯s magic was on a bigger scale. The fact that it was used against humans was not a problem to the fairies but after the bombing, the mirror world starts to act weirdly, to put make it simple, it was starting to collapse. Many holes leading to the real world started to form. Monster that was never seen before roams freely in the real world while the problems in the mirror world kept on piling up. The World Order contractors managed to fend off the monsters entering the real world but the fairies were at wits end in the mirror world. The elf starts to splits into 3 groups, the high elf, the forest elf, and the dark elf. The high elf demanded that they are to be granted entry to the real world freely as they have waited for 10 000 years. The forest elf remains quiet and did not interfere with any affairs while the dark elf acts violently by attacking some fairies. The demons were also causing troubles by going through the holes to the real world and attacking humans. So the World Order collaborated with the fairies in the mirror world to allow the contractors to enter the mirror world freely and solve their problems. However, the collaboration only started 20 years ago, in 1996. Due to lack of experience and their sets of useless skills, many contractors lost their life doing missions in the mirror world. The World Order changed their format of contracts which was, the contractors were only allowed to choose only a small variety of profession and skills were decide by the fairies. The newest contract followed the rpg-game avatar creation format with wide varieties of profession while skills will be given according to the contractors consent and the fairies ability. Basically, the so called game survey yesterday was a contract and everyone in the class signed it up. I expect the others would have already get their respective fairies. To be honest, this felt just like a story from a fantasy novel somehow. ¡°I get the gist of it. Even though our class consisted of 36 students, but the sitting area still looked half empty. I estimated that the max capacity was probably around a hundred or more. On the small stage, I saw a middle aged man donning a suit with slick combed hair and 19¡¯s styled moustache. ¡°Ah, Harry Mills and Ember Agarictree, you¡¯re late. Please take a seat with your party.¡± The principal called out. I immediately sat down next to Ari who was saving the seat for me. The dragons have high affinity to magic and have powerful physical strength. He also described the dragon race look almost similar to human but their most obvious traits was their golden pupil snake like eyes and golden hair. They also have unique ability for their own race, which was the metamorphosis ability that changed their body into a huge lizard-like body with bat-like wings that can breath out magic such as the famous fire breath, a real fantasy dragon indeed. Many contractors throughout the history claim that the human emperor¡¯s strategist played a huge role and also there was rumour of a secret weapon that was used to fend off the dragons attack. No one really knew since it was fabricated constantly through those 10 000 years. Some contractors also thought that the reason the other races surrender unconditionally, was because of the fear of the unknown weapon. As for the human emperor¡¯s descendant, no information was found. The same goes for the strategist descendant. So, the other races were trapped inside the mirror world because the absolute rules can only be abolished by the human-emperor¡¯s descendant and the strategist descendant. Then he explained the current situation, the first atomic bomb drop in Hiroshima and the second in Nagasaki caused fluctuations between the three worlds which results in holes between the worlds opening. Mana itself was in disarray. The high elf and dark elf starts to rebel against the absolute rules. The demons on the other hand took this chance to enter the real world and attacking humans. In the end, the World Order collaborated with the fairies to send contractors to the mirror world on numerous mission to solve this problems. Although humans weren¡¯t allowed in the mirror world, but the fairies had to ask for assistance from the humans. ¡°That is all I got to say. I might have left some parts. Some of you might already know from your fairies but you can ask me question now.¡± the Principal said and stared at us. I stood up and asked ¡°Why us? There are many others who want to save the world. The result was, we manage to get one hole and the fairies help closed it up. The other two holes¡­¡± he paused, stared down, anguished with wrinkles casting shadows over his eyes and continued ¡°¡­the contractors were wiped out. I saw the problem were, most of our contractors had only skills that are not suitable for battle and our profession make it seems like we are just normal soldiers. ¡° He swallowed bitterly his past memory and looked at us again. ¡°Then we postponed the mission for a while and use a new strategy. For the next 5 years, we recruited another 10 000 contractors but they are mainly used to hunt down any demons that are able to enter the real world. They were recorded during the medieval era as they devastated a lot of cities and roamed the real world for a long time until the elder fairies sent them back to the mirror world. The World Order did not erase those evidences since almost everyone thought it was just a myth. The helm had a small slit where I can see two red glows which probably were the eyes. This was exactly the way I imagined it in my mind, a perfect duplication. He swings the sword downward but the skeleton knight just twisted its body and evaded. Using the momentum of the first swing, Maru changed direction and slashes upward. As if expecting the slash, the skeleton knight blocked the attack using its shield. Maru continued slashing and swinging his sword but the skeleton knight easily block all his attack without moving much. He backed away after a series of attacks, ¡°*pant*pant* Hey Harry, don¡¯t you think your skeleton knight is a little bit too strong? Could you ease up his defence a little bit¡­or maybe I should just attack you!¡± he ran towards my direction. With his sword readied, he slashed horizontally at my neck but.. Clang! Turns out, Rudy was able to wield it but Maru told me that the mana cost was doubled when someone else used his magic sword. So, the plan was, Maru and Rudy will be the frontline while Ari will concentrate on healing and try using his holy offensive magic. Since Zafi cannot wield any weapons other than spear, so his only job was to add buffs to the others. I wanted to create more undeads but I fear that my level would not be sufficient enough to create a few more. This was just a try out though. I will summon more after they defeated those skeleton footman. Then I ordered the skeleton footman to attack them. At first, their teamwork was a mess. Rudy got hit several times while Maru only managed to defeat one of the skeleton footmen. After a while they were able to understand their own responsibility and improve their teamwork. It took them 15 minutes to defeat the remaining skeleton footman. As expected they got experience points from defeating my skeleton footman and rise by two levels. The other parties were amazed and asked me to summon skeleton footman for their party. I wanted to refuse them, but I thought it would be a good way for my classmate to accustom themselves with their party and workout on their teamwork. So I summoned five skeleton footmen for each party. Then I asked them toremember their responsibilities in the party whether it was tanking, offense, or support. They should start making strategy on how to take down the skeleton footmen before engaging. After I gave them a few minutes to sort out their formation and strategy, I ordered all the skeleton footmen to attack their respective parties. For the OP party such as Isaac¡¯s party and King¡¯s party, they defeated the skeleton footmen with ease. It was a given since their party were quite balance. As for the other two party, Darrel¡¯s and Gerome¡¯s party, they were defeated by the skeleton footmen because of the lack of tanker in their party, making them vulnerable to attacks. All of them rose up two to three levels except for Gerome¡¯s and Darrel¡¯s party. The result of my skeleton footmen defeating two parties was that I received a lot of exp points and rose up to level 12. I was surprised at first and then I thought of another brilliant idea. With an evil smile I chanted(this was justan act of chuuni) ¡°I conqueror of the undead army, Master of the dark magic,the foretold dark emperor. Answer me skeleton knights, as I call upon you. You are my vanguard. You are the despair. You are the calamity. I summon thee! Vanquish my enemies!¡± I said those words while pointing to the direction of my classmates. Then the magic circle appeared beneath my feat, releasing a dark mist, and keeps on releasing it, until it turned into a dark sinister cloud enshrouding me with it. The mana usage for this skill was immense that I felt a little dizzy and would have fainted if did not swith to surrouding mana. Slowly the dark cloud dispersed and10 skeleton knights appeared. They ran towards my classmates with a quick stride, leaving a dark mist as they go. My classmates who was still resting after the initial fight, was caught by surprise and quickly stood up to defend themselves but they were a few second too slow as they were rammed down by the running skeleton knight as if it was buffalo on rampage. One after the other, my classmates was knocked down and some of them were unconscious due to the heavy hit. The ones who managed to defend themselves were my party since they saw my initial intent, and were already on their feet before I finished my chant. However, not even a single of my skeleton knights were defeated,theywere outnumbered and outskilled. The skeleton knights encircledmhparty and unsheathed their swords, making the metallic clanging sound and releasing blood lust. Then I finally realized my order was ¡®Vanquish my enemies¡¯ which means; no mercy! I did not notice at first because they were only using the round shield to ram my classmates. ¡°W-wait my skeleton knights, put away your swords! Abort my first order, just stand there and wait for my next command.¡± the skeleton knights sheathed their swords as they received my order. After releasing a huge breath of relief, Ari came up to me ¡°Are you crazy! You could have killed all of us! What were you thinking?!¡± He hit me in the shoulder with his cute angry face and puoting his mouth. Then he went on to the knocked out classmates and healed their injuries. Then Maru came to me with rage, ¡°You are mad Lazy Inchou! I would reconsider your punishment depending on your excuse for this action!¡± I rubbed my nose as I thought of an excuse. I definitely would not want to say that I was trying to level up quickly by attacking them while they were letting their guard down. Then I put up a serious face, ¡°Those are my way of training you. After giving out orders to the skeleton, I walked further away from them to try out my new skills. The active skills can be activated by just thinking of the result of the skills. To put it simple you don¡¯t have to think of the mana flow and only think of the end result. For example, raiton no jutsu can be easily activated by imagining electricity or lighting and the mana will flow out automatically, the mana cost to activate the skill is so much lower than chanting it or imagining of the whole process. It cannot be turn off, the passive skill are permanent. Then I imagined a huge creature, a zombie-troll, 4 metres tall, wearing a plat-armour and wielding a huge wooden club. This time, the magic circle did not appear under my feet but appeared at the ground my palm was pointing at. The ground started to shake and a hand pierced out of the ground on the magic circle. Its hand gripped the ground and pull the rest of the body out. Sensing that so much mana was drained out just to summon this creature, I immediately use the surrounding mana to supply it to this creature since my own mana was drain fast by this lightning ball. Somehow I just cannot use the surrounding mana to keep up this lightning ball. Maybe because this lightning ball is considered a skill and my mana manipulation is also a skill. So skills cannot overlap with another skill. After the body was fully out of the ground, it let out a huge howl and speak to me in a weird way ¡°I come. After my eyes recovered from the flash, I looked at my hand and the lightning ball was gone. Then I looked in front of me, the zombie-troll was also gone! What was left there were charred ground and pieces of steel which I probably was the zombie-troll''s plat-armour. As for the body, I looked around and saw a huge burned corpse more than 300 metres away. The corpse suddenly turned into a dark smog and dispersed away. Still shocked, I turned around to see Ember with her mouth wide-open. ¡°M-master! That was splendid! I never would have thought lightning strike could be use that way! I¡¯m totally shocked and I''m so proud of you Master!¡± She was shouting out those words while flying around me. ¡°H-honestly, I have no idea that would happen, I expected it would just end with the troll being pushed back a few feat due to the momentum and a slight burn to the plat-armour.¡± ¡°What?! You don¡¯t even know how you did that? Hehehe, don¡¯t worry, I can explain it since I know a little bit about that lightning strike. Basically, Raton no Jutsu is a skill almost similar to a wizard ¡®lightning strike¡¯ spell. Both can call upon a single lightning strike but the difference is that Raton no Jutsu is a skill special to the ninja class. I think for your case, you gathered all the power of a lightning strike in your palm and released it at a single point, directing the force to that direction. They agreed but I have to summon more undead for them to train since they already defeated the weak skeleton I summoned. Without further a due, I summoned a Lich, a skeleton necromancer that could summon another undead. If they need more undead then they could ask the Leech to summon some. The Lich can only summon the lower ranked undead but it was fine because they can only defeat a weak skeleton with their current level. With my current mana reservoir, I still cant keep up with the mana consumption so I had to use the surrounding mana. After they agreed, I continued on my training. The process took about a minute but it was definitely me, 180 metres tall, a refine face, short black hair, deep-brown eyes, lean-build body, and the most striking thing was that¡­there was something hanging¡­it was NAKED! I was so focused on imagining how I look that I forgot to think of the cloth. ¡°Ember! Don¡¯t look at me! Close your eyes! I really mean it! Don¡¯t peak through your fingers dammit!¡± I panicked as I try to imagining cloth for my clone while hugging it to cover him up. After a while I finally managed to dissipate my clone instead of thinking to cover him up ¡°*sigh* did you see it?¡± ¡°I-I didn¡¯t see anything¡­I really didn¡¯t see anything hanging really¡­there was no stick or anything¡­really I didn¡¯t see anything¡± she said whilst blushing as red as an apple. That was definitely a lie. Luckily the others did not see it because they were too busy training. Whatever though, I just need to see what the clone can do. So I summoned it again this without forgetting the cloth. ¡°Ember, please stop your naughty thoughts. Just tell me what the clones can do.¡± ¡°Huh, n-no I¡¯m not imagining anything! Well, since it¡¯s your clone, it can do most of the thing you can but it¡¯s very weak to attack and have limited mana. He can summon undead and use the exact same skill like yours. So its just very that even a single punch from an average human can destroy the clone. The mana is limited to how much you gave it when you created it. Right now, the total mana for it is 15. A single use of Raton no Jutsu used up to 45 mana. So it can use the Jutsu for once with much less power then it will cease to exist. If you let it be, then it will probably only survive for 3 minutes or less.¡± ¡°If it can use skills, then don¡¯t absolute mana control be in effect for my clones?¡± ¡°No, using absolute mana control will cause fluctuation in the clone¡¯s mana reservoir. The mana is basically yours and yours to control, but if the clones use absolute mana control it too then it will fight with your control and the mana will disperse. In this case, some passive skills are switched off due to certain condition. Plus, the clones have the same intellect as yours but they don¡¯t have any consciousness. They will only do as you order. Orders can be given through telepathy too.¡± ¡°I see, I understand now. So my clones can only be used for offence since they cannot even get a single hit.¡± I punched the clone and he swaggered a little bit before turning back into shadow then disappeared just like that. Somehow, there was some kind of message in my brain telling me my clone was destroyed. This must be the telepathy that Ember said. I see a lot of potential for this clones as it will be useful for future recon missions and more. Intense Battle After trying out my skills, I went to Darrel¡¯s group to watch their training. Their teamwork was improving but they still lack firepower. I took the opportunity to order the Lich to attack them using magic. The Lich lost since it have been using up the mana to summon lesser undead. They seem to have level up to level 8. I think they have higher level than the others now as I remembered most of them were level 3 or 4. They looked exhausted as they have used up a lot of their mana. So we headed back to the lecture hall and saw everyone was already packing up their bags. The training made me lose track of time and it was almost 5 o¡¯clock. ¡°Harry! Did you enjoy trying out your power?¡± Ari called out to me as he walked along with Maru, Zafi, Rudy and Adam near the door. ¡°Haha, it was very fun. So how was your study?¡± I asked. ¡°It was okay, Adam explained properly but I still don¡¯t understand some of it.¡± ¡°Sorry about that Ari, I should have explained it in more detail.¡± Adam smiled wryly as he apologize to Ari. ¡°No no, it¡¯s okay. I should be thankful for your kindness for teaching me. Thank you.¡± Ari bowed to Adam. The conversation goes on with Maru interfering and of course, getting on my nerve. We walked together to the school gate and I bid farewell to them as I walked back alone. Arriving at my house, as usual, I saw Auntie walking into the garden with her gardening tools. I wanted to greet her so I followed her to the garden. However, the garden that I have always played during my childhood was full of fairies, flying here and there, conversing with my Aunty. She saw me and greeted, ¡°Ara, welcome back Harry¡­and you too Ember. How was school?¡± ¡°W-wait, you know Ember?! And why are there so many fairies here?!¡± ¡°Hohoho, you can finally see them huh? Then I think it¡¯s time for me to explain it to you¡­¡± to make it short, she was born with the ability to listen and understand the feeling of plants. With that ability, she became a very good gardener and my father hired her. Before I was born, this garden never existed. So she was the one who planted all these flowers with care and they grew beautifully. Slowly, the beautiful garden attracted fairies and they ended up taking up residence here. She said that I used to play here a lot when I was small and my cheerfulness was also a factor that attracted the fairies. However I remembered one of Human Emperor¡¯s rule was that only human were allowed to live in the real world. She explained that these fairies are born from the manifestation of mana in nature and some were even born from my cheerful and happy emotions. So their existent were special and was given special permission to live in the real world. ¡°¡­arara, we have chatted too long. I still have lots of work to do, so can we continue this later?¡± I gave her space for her to continue her gardening. I entered the house, still astounded with Aunty¡¯s explanation. ¡°I¡¯m back!¡± the usual greeting and no answer. Seems like mother was out again. In my mind, I thought, ¡®Shall I watch that ¡®thing¡¯ today?¡¯ ¡°What is with that smirk Harry? Naughty thoughts again?¡± brother Juu greeted me as he slides down the handrail of the stairs. ¡°Tsk¡­¡± I clicked my tongue at this dejavu. After I took off my shoes, I looked up and saw a fairy, again. With shaking hands, I point at the fairy standing on brother Ju¡¯s shoulder. ¡°¡­i-is that what I think it is.¡± ¡°Are you blind my brother? You have one on your shoulder and you¡¯re still doubting the one on my shoulder?¡± ¡°Y-you have one too?!¡± I was so surprised with another shocking truth. ¡°Tsk, you¡¯re so lucky my brother. To get such a cute fairy as that¡­¡± Now that I saw it properly, brother Ju¡¯s fairy was a male with muscular body. The fairy snorted after hearing brother Ju¡¯s word. ¡°¡­well whatever, I have a few things to discuss. Meet me at the car-porch after dinner tonight.¡± He went to his room on the upper floor after saying those words. Somehow, I got a feeling that my family was keeping a secret from me. Aunty knew about fairies and brother Ju have his own fairy. Maybe the other family members have it too? During dinner, everyone was present, but it was unusually silent. I see both brother Ju and Aunty did not bring their fairy. Ember was standing on my shoulder and I saw Daddy taking a few glances at her, so he must be able to see her. As for mother, she was only silently eating her food. I did not saw any fairy around her or around Daddy. There must be some kind of a reason. After dinner, I remembered that brother Ju had something to discuss with me and I went to the car-porch. I saw him leaning on his car with his fairy. ¡°Oh, there you are. Get in the car¡± ¡°Ah, wait, why?¡± ¡°Just get in!¡± I opened the door and sit. ¡°What is it that you want to discuss?¡± When brother Ju entered the car, he mumbled some words and I could feel some kind of magic fluctuating around the car and I stared at him with my hand ready to activate Raton no Jutsu. ¡°Calm down bro, you¡¯re over reacting. I¡¯m just putting up a sound barrier around the car so no one can hear our conversation. Actually, I¡¯m surprised you could feel my magic since it was so low in frequency.¡± I let out a sigh of relief as I let down my guard. I was also surprised that I could feel his magic and that it can be used to block sound. ¡°So what is so important that you put up a sound barrier.¡± ¡°I¡¯m sure you are surprised to see me having a fairy. Aunty must have explained her parts.¡± ¡°So you are a contractor too?¡± ¡°Yeah I am. I¡¯ve been a contractor for 7 years now. I was recruited when I was 15, younger than you are now. So I want you to know the risk of being a contractor and all. You can still back down from this task. You don¡¯t even need to do this at all. You can keep your fairy and just quit while you can now.¡± ¡°Wait, what are you saying. I¡¯m not quitting this. It¡¯s already my responsibility and I should fulfil my job. I¡¯m not going to be lazy anymore since this is a crisis our world is having...Did you perhaps, already quit?¡± ¡°*sigh* you are still new to this Harry, this is not just about saving our world, but there is a more sinister motive behind all this. You shouldn¡¯t trust people too easily.¡± ¡°What?! What do you mean by sinister motive?¡± ¡°Well, forget what I say. Let me just say this straight, Mom is worried you know. She knows I am risking my life in doing this. And now, you¡¯re risking your life. It makes her worries double. Brother Fi(Eldest brother) had already reach success in his life, a normal life. Unlike me, I¡¯m already stuck to this weird world. For you Harry, you can still quit now before it¡¯s too late. What I¡¯m saying is that, think carefully before taking this seriously.¡± ¡°¡­so Mom knew? That means she have a fairy too.¡± ¡°No Mom doesn¡¯t have any fairy and she can¡¯t see it too. Then the conversation last night was all about me?¡± ¡°Yes, Aunty told her you were going to have a fairy.¡± ¡°I see, then Dad?..¡± ¡°Dad used to have fairy but I don¡¯t know the reason he stopped.¡± Hearing all these things make me think again about Mom, she must have been worrying about me this whole time. ¡°¡­but I¡¯m not quitting. I¡¯m going to do this till the end. If this world is in crisis, then all of us would be in trouble. I must stop it before anyone get hurt. I¡¯ll stick to this reason.¡± ¡°*sigh* whatever it is, just don''t regret it okay?¡± I nod to his question. ¡°Hey Harry, your fairy looked pale. Did you even give her something to eat?¡± I looked at Ember and she does looked pale with her hand holding her stomach ¡°Wait, am I supposed too? Can¡¯t she get it herself? Oi Ember, why didn¡¯t you tell me you were hungry?¡± ¡°What the heck are you thinking? You¡¯re her master, she have to wait until you allowed her to do so.¡± Then brother Ju handed me a packet of bread from his grocery bag. I hurriedly opened the wrapping and pinched some of the bread to suit Ember¡¯s size and gave it to her. ¡°T-thank you Master.¡± She ate it slowly as she sat on my shoulder. It was so cute as if it was a hamster eating a nut. ¡°Seriously, you are so irresponsible Harry.¡± ¡°I have no idea okay!¡± I keep pinching off a piece of the bread and gave it to Ember until she was full. ¡°By the way, you¡¯re going to pay me back for that bread.¡± ¡°Okay I get it!..So can I get off the car now?¡± ¡°Hmm? Want to have a battle?¡± ¡°¡­can we?¡± i looked at him, feeling slightly excited. ¡°Of course we can, I¡¯ll take you to a place.¡± He drove the car to a large empty field near a river. It took about 30 minutes to get here. ¡°Harry, you always workout around this time of the night, right? Then, take this battle as your workout instead.¡± He got off the car and walked a 200 metres away and I started to feel another fluctuation of magic but this time it felt huge. I got off the car and stood 100 metres away from the car. ¡°Master, be careful. I sense a very powerful magic coming from him.¡± Ember told me with a serious look. ¡°Hey Harry, I¡¯ve already put up a barrier so no one can hear or see us fighting here. Try your best okay because I won¡¯t hold back.¡± I swallowed my saliva as I readied my stance nervously. Then he took out a staff out of nowhere and struck it on the ground. Suddenly a bluish magic circle appeared under his feet. He then took out a coin. ¡°You can ready your buff and all now. I will flip this coin and once it hits the ground, the battle starts.¡± Hearing that, I summoned two skeleton knights and activate Raton no Jutsu. With the sparking sound of my lightning ball in my hand, I call out, ¡°Okay, I¡¯m ready. Flip the coin!¡± Tinggg, the metallic sound of the coin resounded and I kneeled like an athlete ready to sprint. The coin spins in mid air and hits the ground with a thud on the soft grass. I kicked the ground to boost my acceleration and shouted orders for the skeleton knights to attack. I suddenly fell with my face flat to the ground as something pulled my feet. I looked down and saw a tentacle-like rock was clinging on my feet. It must be brother Ju¡¯s magic. I broke free of it by punching it with my left hand. I was surprised to see my punch was powerful enough to break the rock. I looked up and saw brother Ju finished his chant and a fireball was heading towards me. I did not panic as the skeleton knight shield me from the fire ball. The other skeleton knight keep running towards brother Ju and swing its sword vertically at him but was blocked by a magic shield. It kept swinging and slicing but the magic barrier was too sturdy. ¡°O Ra, give me the light of the sun, protect us from the vile creature of the night, Light Ray!¡± with that chant, the attacking skeleton knight was blown away as it was hit by a bright light coming out from the staff of brother Ju. The skeleton knight was emitting a dark mist and disappeared after that first hit. Iit must have been a powerful light magic, powerful enough to one-hit-kill it. I sprint off towards him again, this time carefully evading any protruding rock tentacle. The skeleton knight that was slower was left behind as I arrived in front of brother Ju who was creating a layer of magic shield. Seeing that, I hit the shield with my lightning ball as hard as I can and closed my eyes. *Boom* a loud thunderous sound echoed along with a bright flash shining throughout the field. For a while there, I heard a shattering sound and I opened my eyes. I saw brother Ju was standing a few metres away while staggering and whipping his eyes, probably blinded by the flash. The ground I was standing was charred and replaced with a small crater ¡°Kuhhh, I didn¡¯t expect your attack to be that strong.¡± the shattering sound must have been the magic shield that I destroyed. Brother Ju complaint with his eyes still half closed. I could also see some part of his cloth was burned. He started his chant again but the skeleton was already in front of him. Startled, he struggled to block the incoming swings from the skeleton knight using his staff. Suddenly, lots of rock tentacles protruded out of the ground and captured the skeleton knight limbs stopping its movement. I ran again to break the skeleton knight free but was too late as brother Ju chanted Light Ray and I was also blown away by the shockwave. I stood up quickly to resummon my skeleton knight but brother Ju had already finished his chant ¡°Fire Arrow!¡± A series of about 30 fire arrows started to form above brother Ju¡¯s head and as he point towards my direction, all the flame arrows was shot out in all direction. I knew summoning undead would be too late so I activated Raton no Jutsu, but this time I forced the lightning ball to explode in front of me. Again, a loud thunder and a bright flash reverberated throughout the field. The shock of the lightning strike shot through my hand managed to destroy dozens of arrows but the survived arrows hit the ground and gave out a small explosion. I was still blown away by the shockwave of the explosion. Laying on the ground, I pulled myself up slowly with a groan but brother Ju was already standing in front of me while pointing his staff towards me. ¡°You lose Harry. You got my compliment for actually managed to injure me like this.¡± When I looked up, I saw his left shoulder was slightly burned and bleeding. Probably that last lightning strike grazed brother Ju¡¯s shoulder. ¡°*sigh* that was a hard fight. You win brother Ju.¡± Sitting down, I tried to hold in the aching pain on my whole body. Those explosions sure did throw rocks and debris at high speed making my left hand and both legs bleeding due to deep cuts. Brother Ju squat down and started healing me, ¡°I¡¯ll tell you honestly, you really did fight well. Those dark knights were definitely strong. If you were to summon a lot more of it, I¡¯m sure I would be cornered. Plus, the lightning strikes were also powerful. Not many people can break through my magic shield. You can be proud with that.¡± I felt slightly relief hearing those compliments. After brother Ju healed himself, we went back to the house. When we arrived, Aunty was already waiting at the entrance and said he would sew our torn cloth and kept our battle a secret from Mom. Even though brother Ju¡¯s healing also cleanse dirt from my body, but I still took my shower to cool my head down. I was determined to get stronger and make sure I will not be defeated anymore as I tucked myself in the bed. ¡®To protect myself, no to protect others, I need more power and to do that I need to train myself harder¡¯. Chapter 5: An eye for an eye Customized weapon Waking up in the morning was different now that Ember was here. Instead of the annoying sound of ringing from an alarm clock, I was woken up by a sweet voice of a beautiful fairy. Truly it was a majestic way of waking up. Today¡¯s breakfast was as usual, bread and jam. This time, I did not forget to give some of my food to Ember. I really don''t want to see her weak and pale like that time that I didn''t give her food. The unusual thing wasthat brother Ju will be dropping me off to school. It was unusual because he tends to sleep in until noon. In the end, I was still late because brother made a few stop to buy some groceries. Luckily I did not get punished for my lateness because the Principal was waiting for me in the class. As I walked through the door, the Principal call out ¡°Ho-ya, you are late again. Fix that bad habit of yours because I¡¯m not going to let you get away from breaking the rules anymore.¡± I rubbed my nose while smiling wryly as I thanked the Principal for overlooking my punishment. Then I sat next to Ari and greeted him. ¡°Good morning Harry. You looked tired, did you get any sleep yesterday.¡± he replied with soothing voice whilst looking worried. I dazed for a short second there as he tilted his head with an upturned eyes. ¡°*sigh* I did sleep but it was not enough to recuperate my fatigue.¡± i said, stretching out my hand to relief the aching on my muscles. ¡°Eh, this must be because of your daily workout routine. You really shouldn¡¯t do that every day you know. Even if you really want to work out, you should at least loosen up the routine a bit, I just thought that your current routine is just too intense you know.¡± He then looked away with his pouting mouth. Well this wasn''t the only time he reminded me of that. ¡°Haha, I guess so¡­¡± I really did not want to tell him that I had an intense battle with brother Ju and actually lost to him. For now, I will keep it a secret from the others. The fact that he is also a contractor is the main reason though. I will tell them when the time comes. Just like yesterday, I did not see vice Inchou around, probably absent again. ¡°Okay, now that everyone is here, let¡¯s get to the real deal¡­¡± before the Principal get to finish his word, I stopped him ¡°Wait! Vice Inchou, I mean, Yuz is not here yet. Shouldn¡¯t we wait a little bit more in case if he is late.¡± ¡°Ho-ya, I forgot to tell you. Sorry for my forgetfulness. Yuz, is a veteran contractor. So currently he is on a mission to collect information on a magical beast that managed to infiltrate the real world. The same goes to your math teacher. They are basically on a mission together. You will be trained until the next two weeks. After that, you will be taking examination. The exam will be divided to two parts; one is the normal exam, which are your usual subject exam such as math and history, while the other one is the special exam to determine individual strength and party strength. Like the normal exam, you will also be ranked for the special exam which are individual ranking and party ranking. So exams are still on for you guys so don¡¯t slack off on your studies. Also, top 10 individual ranking will be given special prizes, so train hard okay. Before I move to the next agenda, do you all have any question?¡± Then Shishou put her hand up, ¡°Do I have to take the exam too? And also, I don¡¯t have any party.¡± ¡°You only have to take the special exam Ms. Allen. As for your party, you can either enter any other party or create one with the other teachers. Actually, the party are not fixed. You can either swap members between parties, or enter any party temporarily.¡± There were some more questions asked but it was not really important so let¡¯s leave it. ¡°Moving on to the next agenda, a week after the examination, you will be sent to the mirror world to gather as much experience as you can. Since you can¡¯t level up quickly here, you shall be sent to the mirror world to hunt monster and level up. However, we will determine which party are ready to enter because I know there are some unbalanced party. As for safety, you will be accompanied by veteran contractors. Of course, you will be sent to a fairy city with the best defence. There are still animosity to the human from the other races so we will control your movement in and out of the city for your safety. Josephine please enter¡­¡± Then our chemistry teacher step in the class with some unknown men. There were 6 of them. The men were all muscular and they were carrying something wrapped with a piece of cloth. ¡°These are the weapons that we will be providing you for now. This will just be your temporary weapon so if you have anything in particular you want, just let us know¡­oh, let me introduce myself again, you all have known me for two years now, I¡¯m Mdm. Josephine, a blacksmith and an alchemist of The World Order, a contractor just like you.¡± Then the muscular men put the wrapped-thing on the table and opened the wrapping. There were many different kind of weapons; swords, spears, axes, bows and arrows, staff and many more. Mdm. Josephine called out our name one by one and gave out the weapon. When my turn came, I was given a katana. In my mind, I know the ninja in the edo period does not use a katana but instead used a sickle. Since I am also a necromancer, a scythe should suit me better. So I asked Mdm. Josephine if I could get a scythe or maybe a sickle-like weapon, ¡°Hmm, okay. There¡¯s no problem with it but we do not have any scythe at the moment. I can craft one for you though, do you have anything more to add? The size or shape?¡± ¡°Oh¡­I think a small size sickle would be good, just small enough that I can handle it with one hand. And also I want long chain connected to the hilt of the sickle.¡± since i thought that using a scythe would be hard to move around so smaller weapons would be easier for a ninja. ¡°Okay, consider it done. You can collect it in the afternoon at the chemistry lab.¡± she wrapped her arm and winked at me. That was fast?! I was happy that my customized weapon will be done by afternoon though. Even so, the katana was still given to me as a backup weapon and I was the only one who requested a new weapon. After everyone got their weapon, Gerome asked, ¡°How do we bring this weapon home? Won¡¯t other people be curious looking at it?¡± the Principal answered, ¡°You can ask your fairy to cast magic on it so people can¡¯t see the weapon. However, the magic only applied to normal human. So contractors can see your weapon, and you can see theirs.¡± Then all the fairies started casting magic on the weapons. ¡°Now that everything is done, I shall take my leave. You will be taking the usual class until 2 o¡¯clock. Then you are free to either go home or train here.¡± And so, the usual boring class that I thought was gone, begins. The boring class today ended without any trouble. History was a bit different because the teacher also taught us about the previous races war but the rest was still boring. Then Maru, Zafi and Rudy came up to me and said they wanted to train together. I looked at Ari who was sitting next to me and she gave me a nod. Okay, it was already decided but we had our lunch first and I went alone to the chemistry lab to pick up my weapon. Mdm. Josephine also crafted a holster for the scythe. She thought that the chain would make the scythe harder to carry around. So she crafted the holster that can hold both the scythe and chain. It was quite convenient so I thanked her for it. After I tied the holster on my hip, I went back to the class and to the training ground. ******* As i walked in, everyone had already started their training. The clashing metal sounds echoed throughout the field. Many of them already started duelling with each other. Suddenly,a high-pitched sound started ringing in my head, alerting me something was coming.Unconsciously,I jumped sideways. The momentum of the jump made me rolled on the ground before coming to a stop. Bang! A loud explosion erupted. As I stood up, I looked at the place I was standing a few seconds ago, I saw the ground was burning with a small crater. I quickly looked around and I saw Mire from Isaac¡¯s party was the one who threw the flame spell. Their whole party was pointing their weapons towards me. ¡°What¡¯s the meaning of this!¡± I scream out ¡°Lazy Inchou, you told us yesterday that we should always be on our guard. It was good to see you did exactly like what you said. Well done!¡± shouted Isaac. Then my party ran and stood up next to me, holding up their weapons. Maru was first to speak up, ¡°Haha, why do you have to make other people your enemy Lazy Inchou. Seems like Isaac¡¯s party was furious for what you have done yesterday.¡± Then I remembered the attack that my skeleton knights executed. They must be attacking me for that reason. ¡°No bad feelings Lazy Inchou, let¡¯s do a party battle to settle the debt!¡± Isaac shouted again. As I looked at my party, they were nervous¡­except for Maru who looked very excited. ¡°Isaac, I¡¯m sorry for what I did yesterday. My party does not seem to be angry but the other parties were furious. ¡°Haha, finally admitting huh?! Remember this Lazy Inchou, I really hate it when someone try to mess with me. I would not sleep soundly at night if I do notpay themback! So, an eye for an eye. I¡¯m definitely going to make you feel the pain like what you did to us yesterday.¡± I''ve been in this class for five years so I''m not surprised by this development. Just a day after getting our power, a big fight errupted that easily. Thats the finest of this 5A"nimal" class. ¡°Hmph, an eye for an eye huh? It looked more like an eye for a life just now, that attack could have easily burned me to death!¡± ¡°We have many healers here, so don¡¯t worry. It will just be a little painful.¡± Isaac replied sarcastically and smirking as he looked as the ashed ground. ¡°Whatever, you want to settle the score with me? Then my party have nothing to do with it. All of you against me. I dare you to try!¡± Maru stopped me, gripping my shoulder ¡°¡­what are you thinking airhead! You can''t do this alone! You''re going to get fucked up real bad.¡± Iremoved his hand onmy shoulder, looked him in the eyes and gave him a nod. ¡°¡­tch! Fine, I¡¯m only going to interfere when things get out of hand.¡± Maru knew the meaning in my eyes and stepped back with the other party members. Even though they resisted at first but after Maru said a few words, all of them back away. I could only thanked Maru in my heart for convincing the others. It was my problem so I do not want anyone else involved. ¡°Isaac, I will say it now, back off or get seriously injured!¡± ¡°Hahaha, you think you alone can defeat us! You¡¯re making yourself look like an idiot Idiot Inchou!¡± Without further a delay, I draw my scythe with my right hand and hold up my left hand to summon undead. I did not intend to hold back so I summon 5 skeleton knights and another 2 zombie trolls. This time I imagined the zombie trolls to be equipped with heavy armour and a wooden club. Summoning just this many really took a toll on my mana. So I had to use the surrounding mana to summon the 2 zombie trolls. As I remembered yesterday, using my mana would produce higher quality product than using the surrounding mana. The zombie trolls that i summoned was looking slugish, and a lot weaker than the ones that I summoned yesterday. I ordered the zombie trolls to form a defensive line. ¡°W-what the?! Guys, attack him!¡± surprised by the huge number of undead Isaac issued out an order. With my current mana, I can only create 3 clones but as a decoy, it would be very useful. Using telepathy to send command, clone1 ran towards the frontline and intercept the twins, Mark and Matt, who were running towards the undead. I ordered the 2 skeleton knights to support clone1. While the twins were surrounded, Mare started to chant his spell. I could see their formation was the twins as the full offensive while Isaac and Francis protect Mare when chanting his spell. Clone2 ran with another 2 skeleton knights to stop Mare¡¯s cast. Both Isaac and Francis were very good in tanking. However, they were outnumbered and outskilled. That formation would definitely break down. Somehow, I wanted to laugh because their strategy was too easy to read. Joe, who silently walked past the Zombie troll defensive line, stabbed clone3 at the back. I expected him to use somekind of skill to erase his presence and walk pass the trolls but it was no match for my ninja skill so switched place during the confusion. He was surprised to see the clone turned back into a shadow which he must have thought was the real me. In an instance, Joe was hit hard by the zombie troll who now noticed his presence. He was blown away few metres by the swing and laid on the ground unconscious. What they do not know was that I was using my ninja ability to disguise myself as a skeleton knight accompanying clone2. After a exhanging blows, the twins were knocked unconscious as they were hit hard by the skeleton knights with a powerful shield throw. Three down, another three to go. However, things were not always the same as ones plan. A griffin suddenly soared through the field and rammed the skeleton knights that were with clone1. One of the knights were destroyed but clone1 managed to dodge the attack. The griffin was a summoned by Loo. At that moment I knew King¡¯s party was going to join the fight,only that they were on Isaac¡¯s side. The most important thing was that I need to eliminate Mare from this battle because his magic spell was very dangerous. The battle with Brother Ju last night was a good lesson to eliminate spell caster first. Seeing an opening, I ran towards Mare, slashed his thigh and gave him a powerful knee kick to his face. Now that he was unconscious, all my skeleton knights and clones retreated behind the zombie troll defensive line. I needed to create a new plan to fight them. The most important target was Cody, the cleric, but I also need to watch out for Loo, the summoner. The least I could do is act like Im fighting them the best I could. For now, I summoned 3 lich and ordered them to keep summoning skeleton footman. The other side were also waiting for my next move while Cody healed Mare. ¡°Haha, do you think I didn¡¯t thought of that Ember? I¡¯m just scared that the spells might be too powerful and end up killing them. The troll ramming them is also out of the question, they might get stomped to death.¡± I said as i come up with an excuse. ¡°*sigh*, knocking them unconscious is harder than killing them huh? By the way Master, you have a new skill. Suiton no Jutsu, it¡¯s a water release technique.¡± ¡°What?Why are youtelling me now?! I¡¯m still in a fight here. Just how¡­.wait, did you just say water release technique?¡± A brilliant idea suddenly popped out of my head. Then I saw the other side was finally making a move. Mare was now conscious and started to chant his spell. Loo was also summoning another griffin. I did not want to waste time and I went to the front with my clones. In my mind, I ordered them to activate Suiton no Jutsu and release the water towards them like a tsunami. Giving them whatever mana i have left so they can cast it at full blast. Me and three clones squatted silently for a few second, while the other side looked at us, puzzled. They wont fall the same trick twist so they were on guard. Then the clones and I stood properly and openedour mouth. A violent flow of water was expelled fromour mouth as if the water was gushing out from a huge water dam. The flowing water collided with each other making a huge wave as tall as two storey building. The other side were shocked as they tried to run away from the incoming wave. However the wave was too wide and too fast leaving no space to escape as they were swept away. My next move was, I activated Raton no Jutsuwith the little mana I have left. The small usage of manarapidly decreased the powerbut just enough tocreate a small lightning spark.I shot the lightning spark towards thewater and stunnedthem unconscious. Even with minimal power, the lightning still gave out a loud thunder and a bright flash as it conducted through the water and stunning all of them. After the water resided, I dismissed all my undead and my clones as I walked toward them. My other classmates who were watching from far also walked to them with awe. I ordered the healers to heal them. Then Maru came up to me, ¡°You really did swept them off. You should have just let me join in the fight you know. It would have ended quicker and I could even get some experience point from them.¡± ¡°*sigh* I wonder if this will cause more trouble in the future.¡± I let out another long sigh after those words. I know this will cause a lot of trouble, especially with the principal. I might just already made half of the class my enemy. After the healing was done, they were still unconscious, so we carried them to the lecture hall. Somehow, the others were quite afraid to talk to me but I will leave that matter alone. The fear will die down eventually. The Principal came in after one of my classmates called him. ¡°So, who were the imbeciles that went crazy!¡± I slowly walked up to him as I awaits for whats to come¡­ ***** The Principal¡¯s office was quite small. The fragrant smell of old books tickled my nose. The only sound was that of a clock ticking slowly. After I admitted that I knocked out half a dozen of my classmate, the Principal remained silent and only told me to follow him to his office. However he did not speak even after I sat down and we have been silent for a few minutes. After 5silentminutes, he finally took out a file and read the reports. It was awkward but I talked first, ¡°Sorry I acted violently. If you want to punish me then so be it.¡± The Principal closed the file and laid back in his leather chair. ¡°So you wanted to be punished?...¡± he suddenly clapped, ¡°¡­I''m quite happy to see you were able to defeat two party single-handedly. It was magnificent though. This just proved that the new contract was a success. Splendid!¡± he was applauding so happily that I started to feel embarrassed. I really did not want to tell him that I already lost to my brother, a veteran contractor. ¡°Harry, you have a very great combat ability and you have quite a knack at doing this. However, they were also to be blame because their flaw was that they are depending too much on their wizard.¡± I was quite surprised the Principal would actually complement me instead of scolding me. So I remained silent and listened to him. ¡°Although you did splendidly defeat them but this is still school ground and all of you are students. You definitely break the school rules by fighting like that. I cannot let this slip without giving punishment and I do not want to act one-sidedly. You and the other party will be suspended for a few days.¡± I did see that coming though so I was not surprised. At least the offenders get punished too. So I only nodded silently. He continued again, ¡°Harry, I do have a little request for you. During your suspension, I would like you to go on a mission, a search and rescue mission.¡± ¡°Wait, mission? You can¡¯t be serious! I¡¯m still a new recruit.¡± ¡°Well, I did say it¡¯s a request. You can decline it. So would you listen a bit?¡± ¡°*sigh* let¡¯s hear what you have to say...¡± and so, the long talk begins. A few weeks ago, a magical beast managed to infiltrate the real world using a hole in the mirror world and hide somewhere. The World Order feared that this magical beast would cause a ruckus and kill people so they sent two contractors to search for this magical beast and collect as much information as they can. Contact with this magical beast was not allowed at all. Those two contractors are Yuz, the Vice Inchou and my class¡¯ Math teacher. These two have been working a lot together and have a lot of experience in recon mission. However, this recon mission should at most take 5 days. They were sent on Friday but it was already Wednesday. This mission had already reached 6 days and there were no response from them. So the World Order was thinking of sending a search and rescue mission before sending an extermination squad to kill the magical beast. For now, the veteran contractors were having their hand full on preparing themselves for the extermination squad of the mirror world expedition. The only contractors left were the normal contractors but they lack firepower and usafull skills. So the Principal wanted me to join in the search and rescue mission to cover their lack of firepower. Me joining in was just a precaution if we were to come in contact with the magical beast, so they would have higher chance to escape. The Principal already have 4 contractors ready. If I were to join the mission then it would make 5 contractors. It will be a party mission so there was still one person left. ¡°Ho-ho, then how about this, if you join this mission then you can choose one more person for the party.¡± ¡°I haven¡¯t decided toaccept this yet you know.¡± ¡°Well it¡¯s better to join, thats my suggestion. You¡¯re under suspension so I know you won¡¯t have anything much to do at home.¡± I was thinking that at least it was better playing games at home rather than risking my life for a request. Yuz was my friend. Somehow, I felt a sense of responsibility with my current power. With great power, comes great responsibility. I should do what I can with it. Although I knew this was a dangerous mission, but there have to be a first time for everything. I decided that I will take on this request. I will also need to find one more person to join, maybe Maru would be good. ***** Chapter 6: The Order and the beast In a certain place far far away, there were two person running, in an abandoned building. The building was a 3-storey building, with broken windows and there were nothing but dust filling the room inside. It was dark with only the light of the moon illuminating the building. The bluish light of the moon was clear with no cloud covering the sky. There was only one road leading to this building but it is rarely used. Thick forest surrounded the building with different noises and howls, echoed across the land. The closer the it is to the building, the more lifeless the trees were; wilted, up-rotted and broken branches with flocks of crows flying by. Pieces of rock which looked like a tombstone scattered around the building. However, for the two persons inside, it was definitely different. What they saw with there own eyes was a luxurious mansion, beautiful flower garden around the mansion. Inside, every room were decorated with expensive looking furniture. Weird paintings and animals head; dears and even tigers, were hanged on the walls. The whole mansion was brightly lit with candles on numerous golden chandeliers. The most striking thing about the mansion was that almost everything was red; the carpet, the wall, the door, the window. So red that it can be easily mistaken as blood itself, or perhaps it really was blood. Looking out the window, the moon can be seen through the window but it was not blue, it was red, the infamous blood moon. The two person ran and ran, through the hallway, went in and out of the rooms, and ran again. Everything was repeated as if it was a film that will play forever. However, both of them knew, they were running aimlessly. Somehow, they wanted to stop but their body just kept running, wanting to find the correct door, wanting to find the end of the hallway, wanting to stop this marathon. They knew they have already fallen for the trap, a trap that led to a maze, an eternity maze. The two pairs have been running for the past three days. They were sent by an organization that governs the world secretly, the World Order. Their mission was to collect information on a magical beast that infiltrated the real world. A magical beast, was what they say but the truth always hurt. Despite expecting it to be powerful but the thing that they did not consider was a possibility of it being another race. The chance was very low so they did not consider it, but if it was very low it does not mean zero possibility. Yes, they encountered another race. A race that was very good with trickery and illusion that made them ran aimlessly in circle. In their mind, probably a vampire or a wil-o-wisp. Although these two have not confirmed it with their own eyes but with this superb illusion, it was not possible for a magical beast to pull this off. It was cold, very cold. Even though they were running, the body heat was easily lost to the surrounding, making them shiver as they run. The fact that they did not know how they got into these trap pissed them off. They both are very experienced in recons and espionage. Before entering the building, they checked everything correctly, mana fluctuation, magic barrier and many others. Nothing was found even after entering the building. Things got out of hand after they took a step out of the building. Everything suddenly changed into a luxurious hallway and now they were actually like a puppet being control. They cannot do anything other than just running aimlessly and talking with each other. ¡°Tch, why is this place so freaking cold,¡± said the older one as he clicked his tongue. It was clear that he was really annoyed from his tone. ¡°We can¡¯t do anything about this. All we have to do right now is to think of a way to free ourselves from this ordeal,¡± the younger of the two spoke calmly as he assess the situation. ¡°Easy for you to say. We can¡¯t even control our own body, yet you want to do something! What I think is that we should just wait for reinforcement to come.¡± the older one started to speak loudly with anxiety. ¡°That¡¯s too dangerous! If the reinforcement came, they might even get trapped like us. Then there will be more victims!¡± unable to hold himself, the younger one raised his voice in rage as he try to give the older one a piece of his mind.Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings. ¡°Then what should we do?!¡± ¡°Like I said, think something out!¡± they both quarrelled as they ran everywhere. Little do they know that the same quarrel also happened yesterday, this was definitely a rewind of their action. What could they do? In a dark room, somewhere in the building, a sinister looking silhouette laughed as it saw them looked like idiots. ¡°Let¡¯s get as many of your friend here, then it will become more lively!¡± The light from the orb was bright but the silhouette still cannot be seen. The eerie laughter echoed throughout the building making chills run down those two person. This was also not the first time they heard the laugh, but they were still shocked as if they heard it for the first time. The laughter cannot be determined whether it was a man¡¯s or a woman¡¯s voice. The voice was a mix of high and low pitched voice, resounded together creating a single eerie voice of dozens of people. ***** In another part of the world, there was a meeting being held in the World Order head-quarter. The meeting was held in a dimly lit room, with a big round table in the middle. There were other furniture too but it was still too dark to determine what it was. The dim light only shines to the middle of the table, making the face of the people sitting around the table covered with shadows. All 14 person sitting around the table was accompanied by one secretary standing behind them. ¡°Have we received news on the recon team?¡± said one of them, with a grumpy voice. Even with the dim light, anyone could easily identify this person was a huge and obese man. Hearing this, one man answered ¡°We haven¡¯t received anything. It seems we have lost contact of them after the entered the target¡¯s location.¡± After a brief silence, a woman voiced out, ¡°We should send the extermination squad immediately before the situation worsen! This beast is definitely a threat. T-those two are experienced contractor, it just swept them without leaving a trace!¡± the voice of this woman can be heard trembling, with some words stuttering. ¡°Wait! Hold up! You can¡¯t send them just like that. We have no information of this beast. It might even be a trap. They could get wiped out instantly you know!¡± another person joined the conversation. ¡°They are veteran contractors! They will know what to do. Just like what they have always do, search and kill!¡± then, more and more people joined the conversation until it was hard to determine who was speaking. ¡°Then it¡¯s a more reason to stand by. If this was a trap, then these veterans would be wiped out and we will be on wits end with only half-baked contractors on our side!¡± ¡­ ¡°Nonsense! A mere trap won¡¯t do that much damage to veteran contractors!¡± ¡­ ¡°What proof do you have to say that this will be a mere trap!¡±¡­ The people started to quarrel because their difference in opinions. Some started to stand and pointing fingers at each other. There were some who remain silent throughout the hot debate. There was one particularly, waiting for the right time to speak his mind out. That person was wearing a suit, slick-combed hair with 19¡¯s styled-mustache. It was the Principal. As the debate started to get out of hand, he hit the table with his fist and stood up. Then everyone started to quiet down and sat on their chairs. ¡°Then, let¡¯s put another card on the table.¡± the Principal said while folding his arm. ¡°What do you mean?¡± a lady replied. ¡°I¡¯m adding another card on the table, that is the new contractor.¡± with confidence, he took out a card, a joker card. ¡°W-wait, you¡¯re way out of line now! Those contractors are not ready yet! Even if they are ready, we can¡¯t just give out order to them. That would be breaking the treaty!¡± ¡°Not them, but ¡®him¡¯. It won¡¯t hurt to just send one. It will be a search and rescue mission and I think he¡¯s already good enough to put up a fight. Plus, this one is quite hard to control and have already caused quite a trouble. This might be a good opportunity to test and dispose him off.¡± An evil smile suddenly emerged from the Principal¡¯s face. ¡°The opposition might notice your plan and if they find out about this, it won¡¯t turn out well. How are you going to explain it to them¡± ¡°Luckily for me, he was under punishment. If he were to die, we can reason out with the opposition that it was as a punishment and we did not expect that it would turn out that way. Even if he survived, we can say it was a test to see the potentials of the new contractors and we could even get the information about the beast. It¡¯s a win-win opportunity.¡± he sat back again after saying those words. He sat with his leg crossed on the table. ¡°So who are going to send out with him? We definitely are lacking veteran contractor so we don¡¯t want to sacrifice any of them.¡± ¡°Do not worry. I have someone in mind and they are not veteran contractors. They are the less controllable people around and seem to doubt our authority. So I¡¯m just throwing out the trash.¡± After all the explanation, everyone in the room gave out an evil smile, making this scene a straight out from a mafia movie. Chapter 7: The bittersweet of killing First Mission As I arrived at the airport Maru was already there. ¡°Why do you always have to be late?!¡± as soon as he saw me, those were his first word. ¡°*sigh* Good morning. Can¡¯t you just greet me normally instead of pissing me off? Besides, we still have about an hour left before our flight.¡± I let out a huge sigh because he just always try to get on my nerves. ¡°I know there¡¯s an hour left, but we still have lots to do. Let¡¯s check in our luggage first.¡± The reason we were here was because I accepted Principal¡¯s request. I decided to take Maru with me. Although I initially wanted to bring Ari with me but this mission might be dangerous so I do not want anything to happen to him. My last choice was Maru since we have travelled together quite often in the past so there will be not much of a problem. The principal gave us one day for us to pack our stuff because it will be a long trip. He also said that we will meet with the other contractors at the end of the flight. It was still quite suspicious because Principal did not tell us where we will be going but he did tell us the time we should be at the airport. When we entered, the Principal was standing in wait with one person. It was a boy, around 14 years old in age with short black hair. His skin was pale white and his brown pupil eyes were half closed as if he was about to sleep. He was carrying a bag-pack on his back with a wooden staff tied to the side. A male fairy was standing on his shoulder. ¡°Ho-ya, there you are. Here are your tickets.¡± the Principal was the first to greet us and lend us our tickets. As we get our tickets, I saw the destination was¡­Berlin?! Why Germany? That was so far away. I had never travel to another country before. I really thought it was just going to be a state in my country but this was a real shocker. ¡°Haha, your face shows it all. This is my surprise for you. Now, hurry up and go check in your luggage,¡± the Principal said while pinching his moustache ¡°W-wait, why Berlin? Isn¡¯t that too far away?¡± I did not have to ask as Maru had the same thought as mine. ¡°Hmph, idiots. That¡¯s because that is where you are going to go for your mission.¡± Suddenly the kid spoke up. With only that one sentence, I get the gist of his personality. The way he speak says it all; rude and egotistical boy. The expensive looking cloth also gave an impression of a pampered rich-boy. ¡°Ah, I forgot to introduce him. This is Arthur Finlay. He will be joining your party on this mission. He¡¯s a healer so it will be a good asset in the party.¡± The Principal was the one introducing while he was just yawning and dazing away. No party need this kind of person but since it had been decided we cannot do anything about it. The principal told us that we will meet the other party members in Berlin. I just hope they would not be another troublesome child like this one. This boy looked like he just cannot do anything by himself. In the end, we were the ones who have to do things for him. Even after entering the airplane, I had to help him fasten the sit-belt. However, my angerslowly fades awayas I was enjoyed the comfiness of this business-class sits. This was my first time so I enjoyed it so much. As for Ember, she was also enjoying the flight. She kept on going about how fast the plane was and she had never been so high in the sky. As she peeks out the window, the shades of red in her hair shines like burning fire as the sun light reflects onto it as she pressed herself against the glass. Her behavior was just like a child getting a new toy. Somehow, she looked really cute when she called out to me and let me take a peek at what she was pointing to. I could not fight the urge to pat her head as she called out to me. She was a bit surprised as I pat her head but she did not resisted. A tinge of happiness and also a slight blushing could be seen on her adorable face. I let her continue to watch the scenery as sit back and relax. Along the flight, I could clearly feel this flight was a slightly different from the past. Usually I would just listen to music or take a ogle on the stewardess but now, I was looking at the view outside the window. Although Ember was still blocking out the view out of the window, I could still see a little bit. Unexpectedly, I could even sense the mana outside the airplane, particularly in the clouds. Sometime, I could even see something flying outside and weird bundle of string-like lines that reached to the end of the horizon. The most intriguing part was thestring-likelines. Somehow, I could feel a very strong mana accumulating in it. It was like a rainbow, filled with different shades of colour, and the lines were more distinct and clear. When I tried to control the mana at the lines, the plane suddenly shocked violently due to turbulence. At first I thought it was just coincidence but as I tried a few more times, the turbulence would follow suit. The lines definitely carried a lotmysterious manabut I did not know what it was. I stopped controlling it because I thought it might cause a lot of problems to the plane. Maru who was sitting next to me actually glared at me as if he knew the turbulence was my fault. He probably thought I use some kind of magic or something. After about 13 hours of flight, we finally arrived at Berlin international airport. To be honest, I was quite lost at first but luckily Maru knew what to do so we followed him. After we retrieved our luggage, I saw someone who has a fairy floating around him so I thought he must be another contractor. He looks like he had also just arrived as he was carrying a large bag on his shoulder. I approached him and called out. At first he was giving me a cold shoulder but after he saw my fairy, he greeted me. ¡°Oh, you must be the contractor. I¡¯m Don Manjiro, nice to meet you. I will be the tanker in the party.¡± He was a huge guy, probably almost 2 metre tall. As we shake hands, I could feel his grip was quite strong. He had a dark-tan skin and bald head. His well-build body could be easily seen from the ripples of his shirt. Anyone seeing him at first glance would absolutely think he is an extreme body builder. ¡°Hey, I¡¯m Harry Straty, nice to meet you too. I¡¯m a ninja.¡± I did not want to say a necromancer ninja because it would sound so weird so I just say ninja. ¡°I heard there would be three persons coming together. Where is the other two?¡± Maru and the boy were still waiting for their luggage so I waited for them to introduce themselves. ¡°I¡¯m Maru Kumawari, nice to meet. I¡¯m a swordsman so you can expect me to be on full offensive.¡± ¡°I¡¯m Arthur Finlay¡­A healer¡± we chatted for a while then went out. As we walked to the waiting area, we saw two persons at the waiting area while holding papers with our names on it. They also have fairies floating near them. So we approached them. I did not realised it from far but as we went near them, I saw they were actually twins. They had a long blond hair and beautiful eyes. They wore identical whiteshirt with short pants. Their white smooth thigh was like a magnet that pulls my gaze to it. ¡°Hello, I¡¯m Amy Klein and this is my twin sister Anna Klein. We will be your guide here. For now, let¡¯s go to the car and go to the dormitory. You must be tired from that long flight.¡± ***** It took 3 hours to arrive at the dormitory. The dormitory was huge andseeing it for thefirst time I thought it was a mansion. It was three storeys high and there was a huge grass field behind it. This dormitory was quite far from the city so it was surrounded by forest aside from the grass field. The sky was already filled with shades of red and orange as the sun slowly fall behind the horizon. It was already dust. ¡°Phew, that was quite a long ride.¡± Exclaimed Maru as he stretched his body. I also felt my body were aching here and there. So I really wanted to take a rest as soon as possible. The twins guided us into the dormitory and as expected it was very spacious with celings that reach to the third floor. There were staircases leading to the top floor directly in front of the entrance way. Despite being a huge dormitory, the twins told us that there were only 10 people living here including they themselves. This dormitory was supposedly owned by the World Order so the contractors were allowed to live here. ¡°Okay, let¡¯s get you to your rooms. There are two beds in one room so you will have to pair up,¡± said one of the twins. It was obvious that I would pair up with Maru but the boy was looking at me with upturned eyes. I honestly did not want to pair up with him because of his rude attitude but I remembered that he cannot do anything on his own so I just paired up with him just in case. After all, this Don guy definitely have bad temper because I have seen him snorted a few times at the boy when he was acting rude. As for Maru, he would definitely leave the boy and mind his own business. When I told Maru I will be pairing with the boy, he gave me a nod so he must have understood. The twin led us to our room and said, ¡°You can rest for a while. When dinner is done then we will call you out. After that we will have a meeting on the mission.¡± ***** The room was also spacious. There were two queen-size beds. A sofa and a coffee table were positioned at the centre of the room with an LCD television hanged on the wall. I took the bed nearest to the window and laid myself flat on the bed. I caught a glimpse of the boy switching on the television but I did not pay attention to it. The bed was so warm and comfy. I closed my eyes and slowly wait until my consciousness fades away. After roughly two hours, I was woken up by the boy. It was time for dinner and we went to the dinning room. As we enter, the food was already served on the table and the other residents were also present. We took our seat and start filling in our stomach. The food was delicious. As you know, we lost contact of two contractors who were on recon mission. So we are now sent by the higher ups to search and rescue them. There will be two possible situations; First, is that they are alive or injured. With this, our priority is to rescue them and protect them at all cost. Their intel on the beast should be reported to the extermination squad as soon as possible. Second, they did not survive or can¡¯t be found. With this, we are responsible to continue on the recon mission and gather as much intel on this beast as possible. However, we must prevent direct contact with the beast at all cost. This is also a direct order from the top brass.¡± explained one of the twin. I already knew some of the thing she explained but I did not know that we were supposed to gather intel if Yuz and my math teacher were not alive. For now, I need to keep a positive attitude and go with the possibility of them being alive. ¡°Then next, party formation. Both of us are wizard so we can cast magic attack.¡± I finally realized that one of the twin always do the speaking while the other just remain silent. I still have some question so I asked, ¡°Okay, good to know. So, is the party leader decided yet? And when will be going on this mission?¡± Then Don spoke ¡°It is not decided yet, but I will be the party leader. I have more experience so I¡¯m best suited for it.¡± I got no problem with it but somehow this guy was a bit too proud and confident. I saw Maru was making a dissatisfied face but he just kept quiet. The boy was also snorting loudly but the twin agreed without much complaint ¡°Okay then, we both have no problem with that. I dont think the others is dissatisfied in any ways. We will be starting this mission in midnight. So get ready as soon as possible,¡± said one of the twins. ¡°Wait, midnight?! Isn¡¯t that too quick?¡± I was surprised that I almost thought it was a joke. ¡°Well, the longer we wait the lower the possibility of them surviving.¡± Well, that was quite a good reason so I just accepted it. ¡°Okay then, the twin and Arthur will be on support at the back. I will be on the frontline while Maru and Harry will be on guard at the rear,¡± said Don. His explanation was too vague. I can imagine how the formation looked like but I really do not understand my responsibility in the party. Like am I only supposed to protect the support or do I attack as well? Maru suddenly spoke, ¡°Wait a second. Are you saying I am supposed to defend the support? I¡¯m a swordsman. I don¡¯t defend, I attack. If you want me to defend then you can expect the support to be dead in a few minute.¡± ¡°Tch, what are you trying to say, noob?¡± after that word, I knew Maru was pissed off without even looking at him ¡°Haha, I¡¯m trying to say your formation is crappy. I¡¯ll tell you honestly, you just want to steal the spotlight being the frontline. You think being the frontline who slayed the beast could make this twin fall for you? Or you could have a go with one of them? Sorry but your plan don¡¯t work in real life. Those thing just happens in your dream.¡± Maru was on sarcastic-mode now and he was literally on frenzy. His words were illustrated with his hand gestures and the smirk on his face waseven enough to irritate even for me. ¡°What did you say!¡± then both of them started to throw insults at each other. While the twins were trying to stop the fight, I was just sitting there, deep in thought. This party definitely have too many holes. Somehow, I get the feeling this getup was just impossible. ''Just how the heck will this party stay alive if we encounter that beast?'' After a few minutes of quarrel, the twins managed to disperse them off. The mission will still be on. We were given a few minutes to get ready before we set off to the targeted location.Somehow the bad feeling started to lingers in my heart again. ***** After the brief meeting, I went back to the room to get mysickle and changed my clothes. I wore a sweater with jackets and long jeans. It was still summer here but it was still cold for me. Plus, it was midnight and temperature gets even colder. I just hope the cold does not affect me during a fight. As for the boy, he only took his staff and wore an expensive looking robe. The robe was white in colour decorated with golden linewith a weird shape and symbol. We went down to the car park together. When we arrived, Maru was already leaning on the car. He was also wearing heavy clothing like me. A sword was tied to his waist. From the looks of the hilt, I presumed that it was a knightly sword, a one-handed sword that can normally be seen in medieval Europe. ¡°Hey, you¡¯re early. That is so rare,¡± he greeted as he senses my presence. ¡°The others sure took long,¡± he continued. ¡°Haha, the twin might take a while to put on their makeup¡­¡± as I finished my word, the twins came up to me from behind. ¡°Hey, it¡¯s rude to talk behind people¡¯s back! And we don¡¯t put up our makeup if we¡¯re going for a fight.¡± One of the twins said. There was a hint of annoyance in her words but she was still said it with a smile. Without thinking much, I smiled wryly as I regretted saying those words. They were also wearing a robe just like the boy and were equipped with a silvery-metallic staff. The robe was dark purple in colour but there was a slit at the side of the robe, making it looked like a Chinese dress. Their thighs were slightly visible through the slit as they walk. The magnetic force of the thigh was so powerful that my eyes just stick their gazes to it for a few minutes before I got scold by them for staring too much. Somehow, I wanted to blame them for wearing it but I liked the view so it was a win-win situation for me. Another question pop out in my mind, do they not feel cold from those thin clothing? I guess they were used to this temperature so it was not much of a deal for them? ¡°So now we just need to wait for Don.¡± Said Maru as he released a heavy sigh. Clearly, the hostility from Maru was still presence with the wrinkled anxious face he made. We expected Don would arrive sooner but we waited more than 20 minutes though. ¡°Sorry for the lateness. I got to twig with this armour a little bit just now,¡± exclaimed Don. Every step he took would create a clanking metallic sound. It was because of the armour he wore; a bronze coloured plat armour with metal pads covering every parts of his joints. Rubber boots and rubber gloves were also worn with metal chains twined around them. A long sword was leaned on his shoulder as he held onto the sword¡¯s hilt. As he walked slowly towards us, he took a few looks on me and Maru from head to toe. ¡°Are you two seriously going to wear those outfits? You¡¯re going to sustain a lot of injury without any armour you know.¡± Don said with a hint of sarcasm in his words. Somehow, Maru was pissed off and turned his back towards Don as if ignoring him. ¡°Wait, we don¡¯t even have any armour¡­¡± I wanted to asked for a spare armour but I was cut off by one of the twins. ¡°You¡¯re fine. We need to get going now.¡± They hastily went into the car and the others followed leaving me and Maru standing outside. I looked at him and he was still angry. The location was not far from the dorm. It was roughly 30 minutes of drive deeper into the forest. As we get deeper, it was getting darker and darker because most of streets lights were not functioning until at one point we have to depend on the headlight from the car. I noticed more trees were wilted and were devoid of any leaves. It was quite surprising because it was still summer but the leaves have already fallen as if it was already autumn. Patches of orange colour could be seen on the ground which I presumed was the wilted leaves. ¡°Master, I could sense a strong presence ahead. Please be cautious at all times,¡± warned Ember. Even with the poor visibility due to the lack of light, I could vaguely see she was making a serious face. To be honest, I could even feel the weird fluctuation of magic in the forest and something more sinister ahead of us. ¡°We have arrived,¡± said one of the twins. Her words were short and precise but a tinge of fear and anxiety could be felt. I stepped out of the car and as my feet touched the ground, it was cold. Not because of the cold temperature, but somehow I could feel directly from my feet that the ground was icy cold. From that point, I knew it was magic because I could sense the mana in me was fluctuating like crazy. I breath in deeply to focus the mana in my body to stop fluctuating. Slowly the coldness dissipates and it became warmer and warmer. I looked around and saw the others were also looking cold as they hug their bodies tightly. Their breath can clearly be seen from the white puff of air as they exhaled. I wanted to stop their mana from fluctuating crazily but Ember stopped me because I cannot simply control mana inside someone''s body. Even with me and Ember talking, the others did not pay any mind as their gazes were fixed to one point; the abandoned building. It was very eerie that it was like a scene from a scary movie. With all the slabs of rock that looked almost like a tombstone and the dead wilted trees around, it definitely made this building looked like it was haunted. ¡°Let¡¯s get going.¡± Don broke the silence with that order. His word was firm and confident. Without any delay, he went off towards the entrance of the building with big stride. We followed him with the formation he suggested. At first, Maru was a bit reluctant but followed anyways. The moment my feet stepped into the building, something started screaming in my head. Although it was just a series of high pitch sound but I knew it was alarming me, warning me, not to go inside and to turn back. This was the same as when I was attacked by my classmates. The screeching and screaming sound was louder this time, so much that my head was starting to ache like it was being pressured and squeezed by the sound. From what happened in school, this definitely was a sign of danger. Cold sweat poured out and goose bumps throughout my body. I stepped back by reflex and looked around to see what was causingmy head to alarm me like crazybut only found the puzzled looks from my party. Everyone was puzzled except for Maru. He looked at me, glared at me, stared right into my eyes as his face suddenly changed from the puzzling face into one with an anxious face with the wrinkles clearly seen. I wanted to tell him about the screams in my head telling me an impending danger but as I entered the building again, the scream was suddenly gone. So I decided to keep it to myself. We walked carefully inside the building. The twins used some kind of magic to create light from their staff so we could see our footstep. The floor was cracked and there were some holes on the upper floor. After a few minutes, we were already half way to the top floor but we did not encounter anything. I saw Don was already letting his guard down while the twins were actually taking this trip like a tour to a haunted house. They were too relaxed. I did told them to be on guard but they just ignore it like I was just joking around until at one point, one of the twins almost fell from the hole on the floor. The ones who were taking this seriously was me, Maru and the boy. After another half an hour, we finally reached the top. It took a while because there were a lot of huge holes so we have to take a few detours to get to the next floor. The top floor had no rooms, just a wide open space with the roof 10 metres high. Huge pillars supported the high roof. The top floor was really different. There were no cracks or holes on the floor. There were no windows. The only light that illuminated the hall was only the light from the twins'' staff. However, the light was not enough to reach the end of the hall. We walked slowly to the end. Halfway through, suddenly the scream came again. It was so loud that the pain felt like it was piercing right through my head. My body suddenly move on its own and jumped sideways. As I jumped sideways, I hit the twins and the boy who was beside me making all four of us fell to the ground. Still laid down, I heard something whizzed past above my head and then continued with the scream from Don and Maru. They screamed witn agony. I hastily stood up and looked around. The light from the staff of the twins was only enough to let me see a few metres away. I was not able to find the perpetrators because of the poor visibility. Maru was on his knees, holding his bleeding shoulder while Don was laid down on the floor, unconscious. Three holes were present on Don¡¯s plat-armour; one on his left shoulder and two on his abdomen. From the sight of it, I knew a projectile was shot towards us at high speed, strong enough to penetrate through an iron plate. Pool of blood started to form on the floor. Hurriedly, I ordered the boy who was still sitting down surprised by what happened and asked him to heal Don immediately. The twins were already standing and chanting some spell. After the chant was finished, a magic barrier was erected around us. ¡°Hahahaha! Very good! More prey, more food! Struggle as much as you can, it will make things more interesting.¡± The voice was so eerie becauseit was a combination of different voice speaking at once. After those few words, the hall was suddenly lit up. Everything was visible; the red wall, the red floor, the red pillar and the source of the light was from dozens of golden chandeliers with red candles. At the end of the hall something was sitting on a throne. It had a human upper body but it had a snake-like lower body. I thought it was a Medusa but the upper body was that of a muscular guy. I could not see the face because it was covered by a silver mask. He was holding a trident on one hand. The other hand, he was holding a chain that was tying up a little girl. In my mind, I thought, ¡®is this the beast that we were supposed to look for? Or is this really a beast?¡¯ I remembered the order was to not make contact with the beast and only gather information about it. Well, getting to know how the beast looked probably was very good information. We could just retreat because the vice inchou and my math teacher was not there. Plus, Maru and Don were injured badly so the best thing to do was to retreat. However, there was still that tied up little girl. I could not leave without saving her yet. Once the boy finished healing Maru and Don, I ordered everyone to retreat while I hold off this ¡®thing¡¯. Don was still unconscious but the holes in his body stopped bleeding, so Maru carried him over his shoulder. I decided that I would just rescue the little girl while fending this ¡®thing¡¯ off. ***** Sounds of metal clanging with each other echoed throughout the huge hall. The battle was at a dead lock; between a human and a Naga. Never have the Naga thought that he would be held off by a mere human. However, this human was different. He was different than the two humans he had fought before. His battle prowess could be said more than two times stronger than the other two combined. His speed, his agility, his strength, almost everything was not very¡­human. No hit was able to land on him. Even if the Naga were about to hit him, he would just easily parry his attack and the Naga himself would get hit by a powerful counter. The Naga race, mostly known for their snake-like body parts, have a latent ability of self-regeneration. This Naga in particularly, had a very quick self-regeneration. If not for this reason, he would not be brave enough to intrude into the Real World. However, this human just really get on his nerve. This human¡¯s counterattack was just too strong. The wounds he inflicted using his sickle was so deep and severe. The way he handled the sickle was not that spectacular, even an amature could see this human was not skilled in using his weapon but the sheer strength in each hit was immense. His regeneration could not keep up with the amount of damage he was inflicted. ¡°Gghhhh,¡± The Naga grunted again as his attack was countered and Harry managed to stab into his abdomen. He backed away to let the self-regeneration kick in. His main objective; leave no survivors. The human¡¯s party was retreating while one of them, Harry, held him back. Try as he may, he could not slip pass him. He really must not let them escape this place. Once the information about him is spread, it would only make him an object to hunt. Not just the human, but all the other race as well. This means, ensuring them dead was the only priority he had. Plus, if he could kill this party, the other humans might even go here falling for his trap and it would just be another feast for him. The Naga¡¯s biggest obstacle right now was this human man, or could he say a boy, probably a young adult. His knowledge of humans was near zero, so he could not think more into it. After every wound on his body was healed, he started his attack again. His move was agile, the snake-like lower body make it possible for him to twist and turn while maintaining his upper body on a standing posture. Moving in a zig-zag shape, the little girl that was tied up by an iron chain was dragged along with him. An enraged face was crystal-clear on the Harry¡¯s face as he saw the little girl was being dragged, bruises and cuts clear on her bare skin. The Naga thrusted his trident and aimed for the Harry¡¯s chest. However, the human anticipated the attack and he twisted his body, barely evading the thrust. As quick as lightning, he slashed his scythe horizontally at the throat of the Naga. Blood sprayed out as the slash cuts deep enough to slice the arteries open. A critical damage. Shocked, the Naga dropped his trident and the chain tying up the little girl, as he held his wounded throat to stop the blood gushing out of his throats. He backed away again to let the regeneration heal his wound. Even if his wound was severe, the regeneration would kick in and even adds more blood to counter the blood loss. At the end of the hall, the other party member has already reached the stairs to the lower floor. However, there were a sneering smile on the Naga''s face While the Naga was distracted by his wounded throat, the human took that opportunity to cut the chains tying up the little girl and took her away. The chains clearly left a mark on the body of the little girl; red marks on the skin and even bruises. There was not even a single string on the body of the girl, so Harry took off his jacket and put it on her. He knew he would not be able to fight the creature if he were to carry the girl. After fighting the Naga sp long that he loss track of time, he knew hewould have a chance ofwinning if he were to use most of his skills against it but the Naga¡¯s regeneration ability was too troublesome. Plus, the location of the battle was another troublesome thing. He cannot use Raiton no Jutsu because the sheer power of the lightning might even destroy the pillars and even collapse the whole building down, this was after all an abandoned building. His only choice was to summon undead or clones to fend off the Naga. And so he did, he summoned 3 clones. The 3 clones were to hold off the Naga as he retreats with the little girl. The Naga who noticed the little was already free, let out a huge howl, filled with anger. Harry, hastily carry the little girl on a princess-carry but the little girl were hesitating to let Harry carry her. As he went off to the stairs, the little girl tugged his shirt to say something. ¡°If you flee from here, you will be trapped in an eternal maze once you stepped out of this building. Your life will be sucked out dry as you run aimlessly in the maze.¡± Her voice was devoid of any emotions. She was speaking as if she was mustering every ounce of her energy to warn Harry. ¡°Master! This girl¡­¡± Ember was surprised as she looked at the girl with wide eyes on closer inspection. After hiding in Harry''s shirt pocket, she had peeked out. She was so shocked that her words were not even finished. The little girl shake herself off from Harry and stood in front of him. The jacket fall from her body as she bowed down, revealing a bat like wing on her back and a pointy tail. ¡°Thank you for saving me, I am indepted to you.¡± Somehow, she was filled with energy unlike when she was chained up. Her black hair slowlyfades into a creamy-white colour. Her dark brown pupil also changed into violet red. Two canine-tooth elongates and protruded out her mouth. Both Harry and Ember weresurprised by what they saw, maybe shocked would be more relevant. They were too shocked to even notice the battle between the clones and the Naga were already at a different level. The Naga had already shot out dozens of water jet towards them but Harry¡¯s concentration was fixed to a particular places, he thought ¡®isn¡¯t that balloon a little too big for her age?¡¯. Luckily the clones were quick enough to activate Suiton no Jutsu to block of the water jet from hitting them. ¡°Master! Be careful! This girl is a vampire¡­or maybe a succubus,¡± Ember was already floating in front of Harry as if to protect him. A tinge of hostility could be felt oozing out from Ember. However Harry was not fond of such hostility towards women. He could not muster any strength if he were to fight such beauty. Even so, he was sure that this little girl could not be his enemy because he was tied by the other creature. ''The enemy to my enemy is my friend'' he thought. ¡°Please do not be afraid. I¡¯m neither of them, I¡¯m a Dhampir, a crossbreed of the two races. Let¡¯s save the question for later, first we need to kill that Naga¡­¡± ***** ¡°What?! That¡¯s preposterous! Just how do I kill that thing! Every wounds it took will be healed in a mere second. The priority right now is to retreat and let the extermination squad do their job,¡± a mix of anxiety and irritation was presence in Harry¡¯s word. As he looked back, one of his clones was already destroyed by the Naga¡¯s water jet attack. He knew that water jet were the thing that bore a hole on Don¡¯s plate armour. The water jet was so fast that it created a high-pitched hissing sound as it breaks through the sound barrier. He knew he need to take extra care when confronting this water jet attack. To him, it was impossible to kill the Naga. No matter how much damage he inflicted on the Naga, it would just heal itself. As for him, just one hit from the Naga¡¯s attack was enough to be fatal and kill him. He could only counter because the Naga were quite agile and so he would not easily land a hit if he were to attack him directly. Although he have a few things on his mind, but with the current location it would be fatal as it might affect him too. For example, if he used Raiton no Jutsu,even justthe shockwave from the lightning would be enough to create a huge crater on the ground, the effect on an abandoned building could be easily imagined, the abandoned building would just crumble down. Other than that, Suiton no Jutsu lack power, he can try drowning the Naga but he could not flood this place with holes everywhere and looking at the snake-like humanoid in front of him, water won''t be a proble, for him since he is also using some kind of water magic to shoot out the water jet. Although he have a few new skills, but he did not try it out yet so it would be dangerous if the skills were too powerful or might even affect him in some ways. ¡°If you retreat, then you will be trapped in an eternal maze just like your friend right now. She knew that many different races were considered as one single demon race, and this girl was one of them. No, she was two of them, a vampire and a succubus, a variant, all the more reason not to trust her. The Demon had been trying out many variations to defy the Fairies authority in the mirror world. Just how could she, a proud fairy, trust such filthy creature. ¡°I see, trust is the problem here. Then Mr. Saviour, will you create a contract with me, a life contract. You can take this as a reward for saving me *wink*¡± she winked cutely at Harry and somehow he blushed from his cheeks to his ears. Ember on the other hand was furious, with his mouth wide open as if he thought he heard it wrongly. ¡°Wha¡­ NO! He already have me! There is no more need for another contract! Come on Master, let¡¯s just kill that thing and worry about her later.¡± After finishing her words, Ember pulled Harry on his ears forcefully, wanting him to ignore the little wretched girl. Although she pulled his ear as much as she can, Harry did not move an inch. There was only little pain to his ear so he did not care much. He was still in a daze, particularly imagining some ''things''. ''Was it illegal? No, but she is not human? So it is legal right?'' ¡°Wait, I can create another contract? A magical circle formed under their feet, glowing dimly with red colour. He could not react quickly to stop the kiss but to Harry, he did not sense the magic because the only thing he sense was, softness, especially the part on his chest, something plump and soft was pressing against his chest. Maybe he even thought it was just too great a reward. But it was totally different for Ember. Her face was red, not of embarrassment but of anger. The little Dhampir slowly let go of Harry and stood in front of him. ¡°The contract is done,¡± she said and the red glowing magic circle slowly disappear. ¡°What do you think you¡¯re doing you f*cking slutty little kid!¡± shouted Ember. She was infuriated by the Dhampir''s action. However, she did not solely blamed the Dhampir but she also blamed herself for being too careless. She should have convince her Master or she should have stopped the little Dhampir from stealing a kiss. Harry, looked at Ember shockingly. The last time he saw Ember like this was when she was doing the blood oath. She was using some vulgar words too. Before he could calm Ember down, a message was telling him in his head that said one of his clone was destroyed. He quickly looked back and saw only one clone was left fighting the Naga. ¡°Tch, let¡¯s worry about this later. For now, I need to take down this Naga,¡± as he said those words, he wiped his mouth and took out his scythe. ¡°Let¡¯s use this Naga as a guinea pig to test my new skills¡± ***** ¡°Raiton no Jutsu!¡± Electrical sparks formed on his left hand as he said those words. A sneering smile could easily be seen on Harry¡¯s face. He closed in their distant slowly while the Naga was still occupied by the clone. ¡°As controller of the Dark world, the harbringer of death, and one who call the dead, I call upon you Dark Knights,¡± after finishing his chuunibyo chants, two dark smog surrounded him. As the dark smog slowly dissipates, two figure could be seen, donning a jet-black armour, wielding a hugesword and a huge coffin-shield. The face could easily be seen through the helm, a rotten skull-like face. The two Dark knights were walking side-by-side along with Harry. The distance between Harry and the Naga slowly shortens. He could feel the his mana was quickly drained by his summons, luckily he could switch from using his mana to the surrounding mana Finally destroyed the last clones, the Naga took a look at Harry. Fear, was the thing he saw first or maybe death itself. The fear he was looking at was the Dark knight. ¡®Why are there two Dark knights here? Why are these infamous elite soldiers of the Lucifer Imperial Guard here? Why are they taking orders from a mere human? Why are they guarding him? Who is he? What is his connection to this fearsome creature?¡¯ Those were the questions that lingered through the Naga¡¯s head. He backed away, with fear in his heart. Every step Harry make, the Naga would move back a step. Harry understood the situation. He knew the Naga were afraid of these Dark knights. Although he does not know the reason but he could use it to his advantage. This was not his initial plan but using this Dark Knights as decoy is a good plan too. The Naga tensed up and he was full of openings. Not wanting to let this chance slip, Harry kicked the ground and quickly closed the distance. In mere seconds, Harry was in front of the Naga and hit him with the lightning sphere in his hand. Bang! A loud thunder echoed and a bright flash illuminated the hall. The Naga was blown away till the end of the hall, leaving trails of crater along the ground. As it hits the wall, cracks was spread out like spider web on the wall. The body was black and charred but Harry could see clearly from metres away that the Naga¡¯s body was healing itself. Harry knew that it would be in vain if the Naga recover his body again. With the mana he have left, he could only cast this skill for a few more times. Using the surrounding mana to activate Raiton no jutsu will drastically decrease its power. ¡®Destroy him until nothing was left to regenerate¡¯ he thought. It was also a good chance to try out his new skills while the Naga was down. ¡°Katon no Jutsu.¡± He hold up his hand and activated his new skill, which he gained after defeating two parties of his classmates. After a brief moment, a vortex of fire 50 metres wide was shot out from his hand. The farther it goes, the wider the fire vortex became until it hits the Naga at the end of the hall. The fire vortex was over 200 metres wide reaching thousands of degree as it reached the wall. The heat was so intense that Harry could actually felt his face burning and the Dark knights had to cover him by reflex to prevent him frombeing burnedby the intense heat coming out of his palm. The fire vortex also created a huge explosion as it hits the wall, releasing a strong shockwave that teared down dozens of pillars. The fire continued burning for more than ten minutes even after his skill activation stopped and razed half of the pillars in the hall to the ground. Harry had to put the fire out using Saiton no Jutsu to prevent it from spreading out and destroying everything. He was surprised that it could do this much damage. After the fire was extinguished, half of the hall was charred and rumbles from the pillar could be seen everywhere. Although half of the pillars was destroyed, the ceiling did not cave-in so the little Dhampir must have told the truth about this being a magic field. But even she was surprised that the barrier took this much damage, if it were to get hit by another of that flame this barrier would have collapsed. Harry went to the end of the hall to look for the Naga. The ground was still hot and he was sweating due to the heat. Now he had another overpower skills in his arsenal. What else could go wrong, or so he thought. He knew that such power was due to his dense mana in his body. Using this mana immensely increased the power of his skill, the results could be seen in front of him. He found the Naga¡¯s body, black and charred. The trident could be seen half-melted and lose its shape. The little Dhampir came up to Harry and looked at the corpse. ¡°He¡¯s still alive¡­¡± *Wiggle*wiggle* the snake''s tail moved. Harry could not hold himself back from making an annoyed face. ¡®Just how much do I need to do to kill you?¡¯ he thought. He was really pissed. If that attack was not enough to kill the Naga, then what will? He spit on the charred body of the Naga in remorse. ¡°Master, I know you¡¯re angry but there is no need for you to spit him¡­¡± the little Dhampir said to Harry. He really did not want her to call him by that because he could feel a murderous aura coming out from Ember after she heard those words. Then she continued ¡°¡­Let¡¯s just chop off his head and it will be done. The brain signal will be cut off then he will stop the regeneration.¡± ¡°What?! Chop his head off? Then it¡¯s done? Why didn¡¯t you tell me sooner! But... that would be hard... for me..¡± Harry said stutteringly. ¡°¡­um, Dark knight, please do the honour and chop his head off,¡± he continued. He looked towards the corpse with sorrow. ¡®Killing people doesn¡¯t feel good even if its to saving others,¡¯ he thought. After calming both of them, he ordered Loli to dispel the barrier. The huge red hall was now an empty roof top. The half charred hall was no more. Only an open sky with the roof floor filled with holes. He walked to edge of the roof top and saw the others were already out of the building, waiting at the car. They still looked confused and were talking to themselves. Vice Inchou and my Math teacher were also there. ¡°Hmm, I think it is safe to jump from this height with your current level. Let¡¯s hurry now Master. They need some explanation.¡± Said Ember. Without wasting time, he put his jacket on Loli and carried herwith a princess carry. Then he jumped from the roof and landed on the ground with a loud thud. The ground was cracked due to the momentum but Harry only felt a little pain from the jump. ¡°Oh, Harry! There you are! What happened?!¡± Said Maru as he saw him landed on the ground. Although others were astounded when they saw Harry jumped from that height but they were more focused on getting on an explanation from him.
