《Re:Cheat》 Chapter 1: Prologue How long has it been I wonder... 10 years ? 100 years? or maybe even...1000?..... there is no point thinking about it now... since I am already dead. *Sigh* In this dark and empty space where nothing exists, lay my consciousness, my existence, how come you may ask, let`s go all the way back to the begining shall we?... 09 August/xxxx. As usual I was waiting for the train to arrive to get home from work. About 2 meters behind me stood a little girl that appeared to be 6 years old, while holding her mother¡¯s hand, her other hand was holding onto a balloon, which she just got from the shopping mall. Her mother, who is next to her, looked quite young she must be in her 20¡¯s if not younger. As I said I was waiting for the train to arrive, the next thing i knew was the balloon pass me by, but what I didn¡¯t expect was the girl that ran after it. ¡®¡¯WATCH OUT!¡¯¡¯ I shouted, by this time she had already crossed the yellow line, her next step would lead her to the railway, the train would arrive at any moment now, but it was too late... and as I feared it was coming... I could hear the rumbling sound of the train in the corner of my ear as I reached out to grabbed her tiny body. If this keeps going both of them are going to feel guilty for the rest of their life, to lessen their burden I gave them a gentle smile as I shook my head lightly. I couldn¡¯t remember the rest of it but the last image I had in my head was the mother¡¯s face, her face was painful as if one of her beloved was passing away¡­. Despite being a bear it has 2 sharp and durable horns on its head which is made out of some kind of black metal? Oi oi is this some kind of rare monster? It sure looks powerful and all, but if this is some kind of random low level creature then the higher level one must be much more terrifying! Should I try to approach it? ..... After all there is nothing to lose! I am dead anyway nothing to be afraid of. Still moving around in spirit form sure is slow, I wonder if I can use possession on the fire panther... As for now I have to find a suitable vessel for myself, since most of the skills can only be use with a body. ¡­.. It has been 3 hours since then, and I finally made it out of the forest! Since the forest was on top of a mountain getting down from there is much easier than trying to get up. On the way down here I was lucky enough to find the soul of an enormous metal snake and a unicorn rabbit. Unique skill: Soul absorption lvl 2. Title: Spirit from another world. Thanks to the air step skill from the unicorn rabbit I can now move much faster! Even though each air step consumes 20 mp it¡¯s still the most useful skill that I have right now. Not to mention that I can combine floating together with air step which increases my speed greatly for every step that I take. But still despite being outside of the forest not a single shade of a person can be seen around here...
