 1. Anomaly Detected

    ¡°These are the changes we want for the Alpha-K12 build.¡± As the man said while standing in front of all the men inside the room.

    And one of those men is me, John Garl¡­

    I am a renowned scientist who has contributed to the country greatly. From inventing automated robots to big and enormous killing machines I was above and ruled the scientific community.

    As I listen to the men inside the building sitting in front of the round table to discuss the upcoming war, I¡¯m here thinking ¡°Why am I here in the first place?¡±

    Oh yeah, that¡¯s right¡­ I agreed to help them make a war machine ¨C crap¡­ I completely forgot about that.

    As a child, I always wanted to learn more about the universe. Acquiring more knowledge is what drives me to live and to pursue my career as a scientist, but as I grew and grew humanity have already reached the peak of its existence. Their technological advancements have made them know and learn the secrets of the universe and have colonized the entire galaxy.

    Many have thought that at this day and age humanity should have united, live together in peace and harmony but all of it was wrong. The reason why humanity as a whole has reached its limit as a whole is because of the competitiveness and innovation of each nation and factions that drives humanity to where it is now.

    Knowledge and information¡­ all of it was taken away from me¡­ What is the purpose of my life now that I¡¯ve already read all of the information on the books? Though I wanted to learn more, nothing beats the experience of finding and witnessing the knowledge myself.

    ¡°Will that be possible?¡± Asked by the same man to me as I blanked out during the whole meeting.

    ¡°I- ugh¡­ Of course¡­¡± I replied showing my widened eyes due to the surprise.

    Anti-matter photons as weapons? Ha! Now I know why I accepted this job.

    Although knowledge has already been discovered, unknown discoveries of inventions that I may create may fill the void of my long-lost dream.

    ¡°Then¡­ The meeting is adjourned.¡± As the man said, everyone got up and prepared to walk out of the room, I too follow suit.

    As I get out of the large modern building, I saw a black limousine car waiting for me at the front. I walked towards the car and as I about to open it a screen that operates as a hologram showed up ¨C confirming that I should enter inside and showed up a confirmation if it was me by doing a fingerprint scan.

    I then got inside and ordered the car to proceed ¡°home¡± it then drove off¡­

    Behold my marvelous creation! A self-driving car! I was the first man who created such an invention until someone stole the idea and created their own inventions¡­ Welp¡­ That¡¯s how innovation works I guess¡­ stealing ideas and such but no matter!     ¡°Sir how¡¯s the meeting today?¡± A womanly voice suddenly asked me a question.

    ¡°It went smoothly.¡± As I said proudly.

Every robot that I made including my house has been controlled with this A.I. by connecting it with other devices using my private network. I call her Sarrie ¨C with no particular meaning behind its name, I treat her as my personal assistant!

    ¡°But we do have some few major changes with the weapon¡­¡± I said to Sarrie as I twitch my eyes looking for a place to look ¡­Well¡­ Since I didn¡¯t give Sarrie a physical form, it really is awkward to talk without facing her, I mean¡­ it¡¯s like facing the seat while talking with Sarrie, it¡¯s like I¡¯m talking to the chair.

    ¡°Just as I expected¡­ Knowing them¡­ they want to win in every war¡­¡± She said with a cold voice¡­ I do have a plan to change her personality¡­ But I love her sadistic voice so I don¡¯t mind.

    ¡°No matter how impossible it is, they want to acquire new power as fast as they can¡­¡± She continued.

    As time went by, we had arrived at a large gate, which opened after a few seconds.

    I looked outside of the window and gave a satisfied smile¡­

    Look at those robots cleaning the garden - twitching their robotic hands as they sweep the ground, watering the plants ¨C by using their hands as watering pot and waving their cute robotic hands at us while driving past them¡­ It makes me proud as their one and true father¡­

    I then got out of the car and said to Sassie ¡°These are the changes that we¡¯ve discussed earlier¡­¡± two holographic screens showed up beside me¡­ I swept the other screen to the other ¨C inserting the screen inside the other then I continued to walk. ¡°Make sure that it will be completed and shipped five months from now¡­¡± I ordered her.

    ¡°Yes, sir right away!¡± Sarrie replied with a dedicating voice.

    With a short nod while facing the ground ¨C Dammit! I should somewhat give her a bit of an appearance to look at.

    I then faced a big mansion in front of me¡­ Painted with white paint and a big brown door as its entrance it automatically opened to welcome its master ¨C ME!

    I then walked inside and the door closed¡­

    Upon entering I see a huge hall with a modern look¡­ Although its exterior looks like it came out from the 20th-century mansion ¨C inside is a full pledge laboratory¡­ With robotic maids lined up at the side facing me, they greeted me as I walked towards the hall¡­

    The walls are metallic and CCTV cameras are pretty much scattered around the area, I¡¯ve built this place to be my home and as the workshop of my weaponry thus making it secure is a logical choice.

    I continued to walk towards the metallic sliding door in front of me and upon arriving it automatically opened and then I entered.

    What I saw inside made me congratulate my intelligence and power! A huge factory is what I saw inside! With some robots carrying materials and delivering it to a specific place, with gigantic robotic hands welding and creating massive machinery ¨C a factory that I¡¯ve created solely to create new inventions that will satisfy the hole within my heart.

    In one section of the gigantic factory, I saw the weaponry that the government told me to create- it shaped like a tank with wheels of such that made it possible to move, a special metal covering the machine that made it durable that gave it''s silver faint color and a massive medium sized gun above.

    Because of my orders to Sassie a while back, the gigantic robotic hands destroyed some parts of its structure especially the ¡°gun section¡± and replaced it with the appropriate materials ¨C I nodded as I watched the process and proceed to enter the room in the far right.

    As I entered after the sliding metallic door automatically opened it for me holographic screens started to show filling the entire room with holographic screens and even spawned beside me¡­

    The screens showed me statistics relating to the house, my health, the status of the war and such¡­ It truly is a magnificent room seeing the screens float and watching the statistics change and behave but as I watch it change and move the lights suddenly turned off, the holographic screens were disappearing and the ground shook like a massive earthquake¡­

    ¡°Anomaly detected---¡± As I hear Sarrie¡¯s voice faint away¡­

 2. The Three Head Maids

    ¡°Deus vult!¡± What just happened? The lights were suddenly turned off and then a sudden earthquake broke off! Was this a terrorist attack towards my estate? No ¨C My estate is built with the advanced security features on this planet or maybe it is something else---

    ¡°B-brother¡­ wherever you are, don¡¯t be afraid! Back-up energy supply will now be used to maintain systems---!¡± A sound of a young boy can be heard throughout the room, he is the Energy Manager A.I.

    Then after the EM have confirmed the energy supply, the power has been restored.

    Something is definitely wrong here. Normally, once the power breakout, the Energy Manager A.I. will revert back to its normal state and use the main power grid¡­ Maybe there is a terrorist attack, not in my estate, but in the power grid section on this planet, that may be the likely cause. I better check on the EM to be sure¡­

    After I analyzed the situation, I decided to go towards the Machine Operating Room.

    After I got outside of the room I was in, I quickly saw the effects of the backup system that was enabled, some of the lights are not turned on, all of the robots were turned off except for the robots that mainly deal with security functions even the air conditioning is using half of its power ¨C that explains why the place is getting hotter.

    The Machine Operating Room in which all of the main three machines I built to preserve the estate and my robots are currently in the middle of the second floor, with that information I walked towards the place using the staircase, of course I used it instead of the elevator since it is currently unavailable.

    After arriving on the second floor and in front of the metallic sliding door, I then go inside to check the three machines.

    Haha! Long and behold the greatest three machines I have ever built! Better than the self-driving car nor even those robots and machines that I have ever built! The three most powerful machines on the planet! Energy Manager Machine, Security Boot Machine and Main System Brain!

    Consider them as the three head maids of the house! The Energy Manager Machine, a machine that shapes like a cube and painted with silver metal that compresses heat, with a big red circle on the top right indicating its status ¨C this entire machine handles the energy management in the house, calculating every second on which energy must be distributed and even reduce the cost of my energy bill a perfect butler that operates the entire Lifeforce of this house!

    The Security Boot Machine, a machine that shapes like a Rhombus covered in obsidian metal that makes it hard to destroy, with floating thin crescent metal besides it rotating in every second that blocks any incoming hostile projectile- this entire machine handles the security functions of this entire house, with a mind of a general it contains the full strategies of the past wars and implement it for my sake, a perfect body guard in the entire planet!

    And finally, the Main System Brain or Sassie, a machine shaped like a big circle with silver metal covering it ¨C this entire machine handles the entire functions of the house, it communicates with the other two to produce better results for my cause. A perfect integrated A.I. that will do anything for me. A perfect personal assistant that everyone wants.

    I¡¯ve come here to check the status of the two ¨C When the backup system is enabled, the other two systems will be affected greatly¡­ The Main System Brain will only use 10 percent of its power while the Security Boot Machine uses 50 percent ¨C to increase security.

    ¡°Tell me what happened to the main power grid!¡± I said so with eyes staring towards the Energy Management Machine, if this is the work of a terrorist attack, then I must not worry, for the military will handle it all¡­ But there is something weird about this situation.This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

    The planet controlled by the nation I am affiliated with is the strongest among the other nations and factions, not even a single terrorist attack was initiated for hundreds of years.

    ¡°Um¡­ The main power grid that connects to the power grid system of the planet has been destroyed, with unknown cause brother¡­¡± With the voice of a boy it really makes me want to cry of all that happened so far¡­

    ¡°What do you mean?¡± I worriedly said to the machine, with sweats dropping into my forehead that made me realize how big this situation is.

    The power grid that connects the other side is the machine I built to regulate the electricity coming into my house, its main focus is to limit the cost. If it was destroyed like that then imagine the explosion will be¡­ It is a giant machine and when it explodes not only my estate will be affected, but even the other nearby houses as well¡­ Imagine the lives of the people living near me¡­

    ¡°We have recorded the site that was affected¡­¡± Sarrie told me as she showed the holographic screen besides me.

    I looked towards the screen and saw what happened earlier.

    The footage showed the Power Grid in perfect state and after a few seconds, air that contains different colors swept to the right that covers the camera''s sight and on which the power and the earthquake broke off¡­

    ¡°I¡¯ve never seen this happen before¡­¡± I said so with a quite tone voice.

    Was this the result of the explosion? No¡­ Maybe it was something else¡­

    Then it hit me¡­ What is this feeling inside of me¡­ Something that reminds me of the past¡­

    Ha! That¡¯s right a mysterious event that not even my current knowledge can answer! NEW KNOWLEDGE!

    Happiness filled my eyes and a big smile was stretched towards my face¡­ I shouldn¡¯t be happy right now, but when hit with new information I have no choice but to be excited about it.

    ¡°Let¡¯s go to the site and investigate!¡± I shouted while putting my hands in the air like a super hero.

    ¡°Brother¡­ Shouldn¡¯t you be happy about this?¡± the Energy Manager told me¡­

    Ooo¡­ That hit me hard¡­ I look like a sadistic person, that is enjoying what happened so far¡­

    I coughed before replying to it, ¡°No, no¡­ it¡¯s just that¡­¡± Then suddenly Security Boot bumped in with the conversation.

    ¡°SIR! YOUR LIFE IS OUR TOP PRIORITY! IF YOU DECIDE TO GO THE SITE RIGHT NOW! I WILL GRAB 2 ROBOTIC ESCORTS FOR YOU! SIR!¡± Woah, woah, woah SM! You made me almost jumped by your manly voice.

    ¡°Yes, sir, that¡¯s right! We are deeply worried for your safety, please accept our offer¡­¡± I don¡¯t know if you''re really worried about me Sarrie¡­ With that sadistic voice of yours and all¡­

    ¡°Okay then¡­ Thanks for the concern¡­ I¡¯ll be going towards the site for now.¡± I said so with a confident smile.

    ¡°Take care brother!¡± The cute voice said to me as I head off towards the site.

    While walking towards the site I saw two robots coming near me. The robots are shaped like a male human body, but the legs are different, it is shaped with a bulky straight pole that connects to the wheels that made it possible for the robots to move. It is very creepy when you look at it - Perfect conditioned body with strange legs below¡­ Though I wonder who designed this¡­ ¡°SIR! I SUGEGSTED THIS DESIGN TO MAKE THE ENEMY BE SCARED AND TERRIFIED!¡± Oh yeah! I remember now! It was Security Manager who suggested this! Well¡­ he has a point, but it also made me want to stay away from these two.

    The power grid site is located beneath the lower ground of the estate and towards the far right, just beneath the club house of the subdivision I am currently in. So, the main mission for today is¡­ TO CHECK THE MAIN POWER GRID!

    ¡°Oh¡­ My God¡­¡± As I said as my eyes widened and my mouth opened like it will never shut from the shock¡­ The entire section in which the main power grid is supposed to be located is covered with boulders of rocks and soil¡­

    ¡°Did you see this Sarrie?¡± I told the robots. Since Sarrie is connected between all of the devices in this house, she can hear me and see through the robot¡¯s vision.

    Then Security Manager suddenly said ¡°SIR! THIS IS VERY SHOCKING!¡± not with your voice that is¡­

    ¡°This is an unexpected outcome, normally we can see the main site because of the support of the roof¡¯s we made¡­¡± She said.

    That¡¯s right¡­ This underground section we¡¯ve made has been covered and layered with metal that can sustain the weight from above. Seeing this, is an unexpected occurrence.

    ¡°Sir, after analyzing the entire condition of the estate, you might want to see this report.¡± She said as she spawned a holographic screen in front of me¡­

    ¡°Oh my GOD!¡± Once again, my eyes widened and my mouth opened like it wants a nuclear bomb to be put inside of it.

    ¡°The outside condition is very different, with oxygen levels increased to one hundred percent and unknown chemicals within the atmosphere and strange conditions within the surroundings, to better look at the situation here is the picture of the outside¡­¡± Sarrie said.

    I looked at the transition of pictures that showed beneath my eyesight¡­

    ¡°This is not the planet I was in minutes ago¡­¡±

 3. Power Crisis

    ¡°I-is it safe outside?¡± I asked Sarrie.

    ¡°It is...¡± She said.

    With that reply I suddenly run towards the elevator that leads towards the upper floors, rushed towards the exit of the factory, into the hallway that leads towards the door.

    ¡°SIR, WAIT FOR US! YOUR SAFETY IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY¡± As Security Boot Manager left out a cry.

    This¡­ This is the moment I waited for! Power grid destroyed with unknown reasons, abnormal changes in the atmosphere and---

    As I pushed the giant brown door in which it lets out a creaking sound, light flowed into my face as I forcefully opened the door little by little.

    With the sudden brightness I closed my eyes a little and then after a few moments I peaked the outside world that I always wanted to see¡­

    ¡°A world that I haven¡¯t seen before!¡± I shouted towards the unknown with an open arm to welcome the mysteries of this world¡­ This is truly the moment I waited for!

    I slowly started to walk away from the mansion, I looked below and all I see are tiny green grass that I normally see in my planet, but when I start to look at my front all I see are nothing of my home world.

    The entire area is filled with trees, trees with strange pattern of circles and triangles embedded in its trunk with roots clinging onto it. As I set my eyes to see the length of the roots going upwards, I ended up seeing the full height of the trees. As I looked above to see the endpoint of the roots, I also saw the green leaves of the trees that covered the view of the sky making the surrounding dark than it is in a normal morning.

    ¡°The trees are so big¡­ Bigger than anything I have seen!¡± I let out a small mutter.

    Although scientist have genetically modified how tall a tree can get, a tree can¡¯t be grown this naturally big due to some natural circumstances.

    I then put my attention to the surroundings¡­ With strange plants that behaved differently in my world, some plants wiggled like they have some consciousness, some left out a strange voice that you normally hear from an insect and some plants that covered with beautiful color variations and combinations

    I widened my arms once again and started to breathe in the air. This smell¡­ is the damp of a planet filled with soil combined with old fallen leaves with strange aromas emitted by different unknown plant species¡­

    ¡°This is refreshing.¡± As I exhaled the air.

    This planet, is not recorded nor had I known any of this, I know because I have read all of the existing textbooks out there. If this was an unknown planet within the galaxy, then I must be the luckiest guy out there!

    An unknown planet filled with untapped knowledge¡­ This must be a miracle from a God!

    But¡­ I don¡¯t understand how my laboratory suddenly transported to this planet. Was it because of someone? No¡­ That¡¯s not possible, no current technology can handle transporting such mass... In any case! That mystery will be solved later on!

    ¡°99 percent¡­¡± I said with a low voice while holding my chin.

    ¡°Ugh¡­¡± I freed my arms and crouched as I felt gloomy from all of this.

    ¡°Then exploration comes later! Our survival must be secured!¡± As I clench my fist with eyes filled with determination. I walked back towards my mansion to fix the number one problem that¡¯s hindering me from exploring the brand-new world¡­ ¡°Power Crisis¡±

    Electricity in its state is hard to manipulate, but easy to find, as long as energy can be transitioned to both states of kinetic and potential you can get its energy and use it for electricity.

    From all of these thoughts of how to solve this energy problem, I sat in my chair, watched the holographic screens floating around me in this empty room that I¡¯m in. Located in the second floor, I call this room ¡°Think Tank¡± with only a single light bulb that lights the narrow room, it is a perfect condition for me to think of new ideas.

    ¡°Renewable energy is not possible due to the length of the trees that¡¯s blocking the sky and the insufficient wind that makes it impossible for both solar and wind energy to be extracted.¡± As I watched the pictures of the outside world from the holographic screens.

    In my home world our source of our electricity came from the stars and black holes, so replicating that method here will be okay but...

    "I want to do my research as much as possible, I don''t want to wait for the machines to fly into the sky and look for such things..." I mutter as I scratched my head looking for the best answer.

    What other ways to manipulate energy and use it for electricity? Something that is faster and efficient... Nuclear? Extraction? Oil? Wait.

    ¡°If this planet is filled with living organisms¡­ doesn¡¯t it mean that it has fossil oil below?¡± As I mutter the idea from my head.

    That¡¯s right! Oil! The source of electricity in every known civilization in existence! Oil is easy to be extracted and contains lots of electrical power to be manipulated! All hail my brain!

    I stand quickly and called out to Sarrie. ¡°Oil is the solution! Sarrie! Oil!¡± I let out a shout towards the holographic screen.

    ¡°A very good solution sir, I haven¡¯t thought about that since we haven¡¯t verified the age of this planet and the effects that it will bring towards the ecosystem.¡± Sarrie replied.

    She might be right, since oil takes years to be processed from dead organisms until it has the condition to be extracted, but this is the only option that is plausible for now.

    "The problem with its effect will be taken care of by our modified drilling well." I ensured Sarrie.

    ¡°Then... should we send out the grounder bots to search for oil below the ground?¡± I suggested to Sarrie.

    ¡°That''s a good suggestion, sir¡­ I¡¯ll reprogram the grounder bots to look for oil.¡± Sarrie replied back.

    ¡°Good!¡±

    I walked out towards the room and walked towards the ground floor towards the factory.

    In the factory there is what I call ¡°sections¡± painted with yellow and black markers below the ground as a form of a boundary, with an area shape of a square in which the machines will be built.

    Outside the boundary is a thick metal pole with a touchscreen panel above it ¨C this is where the control panel is located in which you¡¯ll input instructions on what you want to build.

    In this case I have to build a mini version of a drilling well, since technology has gone so far to create things that¡¯s convenient for humanity ¨C It is possible for my factory to build such.

    But before pressing the ¡°proceed¡± button I asked Energy Management a question. ¡°Energy Management, I have a question¡­¡±

    ¡°Yes, brother?¡± He replied.

    ¡°For everything that I build, how much energy will be used?¡± I asked him.

    ¡°In this case brother, if you want to build a mini drilling well it will cost 0.0034 of the energy available and in an average build will cost 0.003 of the energy reserved.¡± The cute boy voice answered me.

    As expected of Energy Management! Calculating and managing the entire laboratory makes life easier!

    Then with that information I pressed the ¡°proceed¡± button and then the machines started to move.

    ¡°Sir the grounder bots are ready for deployment.¡± Sarrie informed me.

    ¡°If everything is okay, then deploy them all.¡± I ordered Sarrie.

    As ordered, small circle robots with 8 tiny legs below it, 4 legs on each side with a huge eye in the upper middle of the body, started to move towards the small hole inside the laboratory.

    As I looked towards the robots moving towards the hole confirming that it is all complete, I ordered something for Security Boot. ¡°Perform a complete diagnosis of the entire lab if everything is in within the protocols of the system, and order two robots to guard me.¡±

    ¡°SIR, FOR WHAT SIR?!¡± Security Boot let out a manly shout.

    ¡°While waiting for the tiny bots to complete their survey, I on the other hand will explore the outside world!¡± I said to him while clenching my hands into my chest.

    ¡°It¡¯s time to explore the outside world!¡±

 4. Weird

    As the surroundings are as darker than a normal morning because of the leaves from the giant trees covering the skies, with sounds of unknown plants and animals filled the air. I closed my eyes and covered it with my hand and using my other hand, pointed to the ground.

    ¡°The first one to be discovered is you!¡± I shouted with a smile in my mouth.

    The first thing that I step outside of my mansion is this grass that I found below, with characteristics that are the same in my home planet ¨C ¡°Bouteloua dactyloides¡± or ¡°buffalo grass.¡± It makes me wonder how a plant has been grown if evolution is made through the randomness of nature, that''s why I chose this plant as my first subject because of my curiosity.

    With me are three robots, two for ensuring my safety and one for analyzing.

    I ordered the two robots to analyze the grass below if it is poisonous or not. As robots who ensured my safety, they are programmed to analyze if something is poisonous or not, from living things and to the air surrounding me.

    From my orders they touched the ground and stayed that way for half a minute and confirmed that it wasn¡¯t poisonous.

    I then got a piece of the grass; I rubbed it with my two fingers and tried to feel its texture¡­

    ¡°It even has the same texture!¡± I said.

    I then called the robot who is at the far back to come near me. A robot whose height is as the same as a child came running towards me, with its white laboratory coat swaying through the winds, as its yellow mask shines by the sun with thin rectangular holes in it to see, as it stomped the ground with its yellow boots. Its name is Neon-Go, this robot is made to secure the materials that have been gathered and is made to quickly analyze the objects received.

    As the robot came closer and closer towards me with arms facing frontward and hands opened for it to receive the part of the grass I¡¯m holding, I look at it as a child running towards his father coming back from home.

    Why am I still single? I asked myself.

    I then give the part of the grass to it and ordered. ¡°Analyze its component and make a comparison between it and the grass back home.¡± It nods in reply and I patted its head because of its cuteness.

    I then continued to walk for about 5 meters and stopped at the front of the tree that I always saw.

    This type of tree is common around this area, it has the same color of the trees back at my home, but that¡¯s where the similarity ends. Its trunk is curved upward, and its roots are not in the ground, but instead lies within the trunks. And the tree¡¯s abnormal height gives off a fantasy feel with its strange carvings on it.

    I ordered the two robots to do the same on what they did in the grass moments ago and after a few seconds I touched the trunks with my hands.

    ¡°I guess wood can be another source of energy.¡± I did a half smile and a raised eyebrow as I thought of the idea.

    ¡°Let¡¯s see how sturdy you are!¡± I raised my voice as I pointed towards the tree.

    With an automatic response, the robots moved forward and raised their arms towards the tree, I then step to the side for me not to be hit by what they are about to do.

    They opened their hands and a hole opened in the middle with light emitted from it, with a sound of an engine gathering its power, a beam of light flowed towards the tree. It seems like this is the end of the tree¡¯s long-lasting life, but---

    The beam was apparently nullified because of a transparent barrier that¡¯s protecting the tree.

    ¡°Lower your weapons¡± As I opened my hands and doing an up and down motion towards the robots.

    ¡°What is this? Is this even a tree?¡± As I bend over and put my hand towards my chin, analyzing to where the barrier supposed to be.

    ¡°It neglects the beam that can slice a human being to pieces.¡± As I mutter from the surprise.

    Then the carvings on the trunk began to be filled with light shining towards my face.

    ¡°!¡± Then suddenly the ground beneath me started to vibrate, I jumped and moved back because of the sudden movement below.

    Hands as big as my face with spiked nails started to crawl out of the soil and begins to move upwards revealing its entire body.

    ¡°What is this beast?!¡± With sweats dropping throughout my body, I left out a shout.

    A beast that I didn¡¯t know, with a small head, but two big horns besides it, big bulky body with strong muscles, underneath it wears a torn underwear with bulky legs and muscled feet.

    With its entire body covered with violet colored skin, with its nose going bigger and smaller and smoke coming out of it. With its hands clenching ready to attack. I stood still, shocked from the gigantic beast.

    My body won¡¯t move¡­ I can¡¯t control my body! I tried to move my body to sideways to frontward, but it won¡¯t move an inch. It¡¯s like a strong force holding my body, hindering me to move.

    Seeing the situation, the robots changed their gears and changed their hands to machine guns and started to shoot at the beast.

    The beast started to touch the ground and with the force of its hands and feet it leaped through the air that left a crack on to the ground and landed behind me.

    ¡°What is this!?¡± As the ground shake from the beast¡¯s landing.

    A beast that can withstand a bullet that¡¯s been formed from strong metal component, what is this beast? My mind is now in the state of panic.

    The beast opened its mouth and gave out a large roar, birds like beings flew away from the trees they were in as they heard the beast¡¯s intimidating voice.

    With their master now in trouble the only option for the robots had is ¡°protocol #896¡±

    With the protocol initiated the robots suddenly vanished in front of my sight. Don¡¯t tell me¡­ They initiated the protocol¡­ Seeing that bullets have no effects and using the beam takes longer to gather its energy, they will rush towards the enemy and collide with it and release an energy as twice as much energy of a bomb.

    They could''ve carried me away and rushed towards the mansion. I thought of the idea, but it was all too late.

    The robots rushed towards the beast as they avoided the beasts attack, swinging its bulky hands from left to right, with its quick movements they hugged the beast, one at the back and the other at the side.

    The Neon-Go who¡¯s on the side rushed towards me and poked at my white lab coat while looking at me.

    ¡°I c¡ªt m¡ªe¡­¡± As I desperately tried to move my mouth to inform the tiny robot that no matter what I do ¡°I can¡¯t move.¡±

    Seeing the robots that are about to explode, Neon-Go raises me and carried me with its arms away from the beast.

    The beast tried to grab the robots away, but the robots crawled throughout its body to avoid its bulky hands.

    And after a few seconds, the robots exploded. A sound of a blast heard throughout the surroundings, the grass beneath the beast incinerated and nearby plants waved with the strong wind.

    The ground trembled as the beast lay its body towards the ground. Cracks around its skin started to show, with tiny circle fragments going out away from the inside.

    It seems the beast is now defeated with the cost of letting the two robots go to a suicide explosion.

    I saw the explosion as Neon-Go used its hands holding at my coat near the neck as he dragged me towards the mansion¡­ I guess exploration day one has ended?

    A small white furry creature with its long ears and little nose twitching in search for food, turned its head from the left and to the right and saw a fruit beneath the large tree.

    ¡°Thwice thir is!¡± He said as he used his legs to leap towards the tree.

    He grabbed the small red fruit shaped like a perfect circle.

    Using his hands, he moved the fruit right in front of its nose, his nose twitches as he closed his eyes.

    ¡°Twis is delicious it is!~ Smelly good!¡± He said as he left a smile, but just as he leaps away from the tree, the carvings on the tree began to shine, the ground began to shake under him and a giant beast appeared from the ground with two horns besides its head.

    The small white furry creature is now sitting at the top of the head of the beast.

    ¡°I has doomed.¡± He said.

    ¡°Master, I have something to inform you¡­¡± Sarrie informed me as I lay down on the bed resting from what happened earlier.

    I looked at Sarrie with half-opened eyes and she continued. ¡°There is something I want to report to you about the analysis of the grass that you wanted to analyze.¡±

    ¡°Give me a very, very, very short summary.¡± I said to Sarrie as I said it like I¡¯m out of breath from running¡­

    ¡°We¡¯ve discovered an unknown but very weird element from the plant.¡± Sarrie said.

    Unknown¡­ Element?

    I quickly rose up from my bed and faced at the holographic screen that Sarrie showed me.

 5. Dimensions

    ¡°The element on which I have identified is unknown, I even checked through all of my databases,¡± Sarrie informed me.

    I am currently inside of the observing room on the second floor. Inside the observing room is a circular silver metallic podium on which at the top resides a protective cylinder with see-through glass that let me see the piece of the plant that I picked statically floating inside.

    ¡°Are you sure you have checked all the databases? Maybe some of it is left on our original planet.¡± I said as I chuckled a little. A little joke may cleanse my traumatic experience earlier.

    ¡°Security Boot has analyzed the entire laboratory and not one of my databases have been harmed.¡± She replied.

    ¡°Hmm¡­ Tell me the details of this element that you have discovered.¡± I ordered Sarrie.

    ¡°It is a chemical element, that has a weird behavior, unlike any chemical that humanity has ever discovered.¡± She said as text started to appear in the glass of the cylinder.

    ¡°The new chemical element is weird because apparently, it circulates inside of the plant.¡± She continued.

    A chemical that circulates inside? Normally a chemical can only freely roam around inside a volume unless a certain type of pressure is controlling its movements, but I don¡¯t have any knowledge about a plant controlling a certain type of chemical¡­ unless¡ª

    ¡°I¡¯ve analyzed it further and apparently, there is no existing cell within this plant that has the capacity to move the unknown chemical.¡±

    ¡°What¡¯s weirder is this sir¡­¡± Inside of the cylinder is a small robotic hand with a sharp spike at the middle, it moved forward toward the plant and tore the side of it, then the plant began to shine and began to expel small colored white circle fragments at the side.

    ¡°What are these fragments?!¡± I told Sarrie as I raised my voice while holding the circular metallic podium.

    ¡°These are apparently the unknown chemical sir¡­¡± Sarrie answered.

    ¡°So, this isn¡¯t a chemical but matter!¡± I said

    ¡°No, it isn¡¯t sir, try to look at this.¡± As Sarrie said, the same robotic hand released a continuous lightning zap towards the floating fragments.

    In concept, this electrical zap will break the bonds of chemicals the made up a matter or substance, but as I continuously watched the robotic hands zap the fragments one after another, the fragments didn¡¯t break apart nor does it show its components.

    ¡°This is beyond our logical understanding! It doesn¡¯t make any sense!¡± As I said while scratching my head.

    ¡°Can you touch it?¡± I asked Sarrie.

    To answer my question, the robotic hand moved towards the fragments and moved through it.

    ¡°You can but it just moved through it, and apparently it doesn¡¯t change the physical appearance of the chemical,¡± Sarrie said.

    ¡°Impossible!¡± As I raised my voice.

    This is getting interesting! As frustrated as I am right now, this is just to show how excited I am to learn more about this unknown chemical.

    ¡°There is more to it sir¡­¡± As she said, the ground beside the podium started to open and a new metallic podium and an empty protective cylinder started to ascend from the ground.

    The empty cylinder started to extend its cap showing a black plastic tube moving towards the other cylinder¡¯s cap. Then after locking it to the other side, the small fragments began to be sucked towards the other side, one by one.

    As the tube continuously suck the fragments, the other fragments that are already at the other side began to slowly form a shape that looks like the piece of the plant that they come from.

    When all of the fragments have been sucked towards the other side, the plant began to change its color to brown and the texture of its appearance began to be dry and rough.

    ¡°The plant is dead after sucking the fragments huh¡­ Does the cell of this plant needed this chemical to live?¡± I asked Sarrie.

    ¡°Maybe¡­ As it¡¯s already impossible for such a piece of a plant to live this long without water.¡± Sarrie answered.

    That¡¯s right! Its already been hours since I removed the piece from its original state.

    ¡°There is also something that I want to inform you, sir,¡± Sarrie said.

    ¡°Tell me,¡± I replied.

    ¡°Remember about the information I reported about the oxygen level exceeding to one hundred percent?¡± Sarrie told me.

    I widened my eyes and sweat began to flow towards my forehead¡­

The process usually involves heating the chemicals within the tube, as the result of the process ¨C a blazing fire gets out at the far back of the laboratory.

    ¡°I analyzed the fire and the result is that; the new chemicals started to create a barrier like, form to the fire and in such making the fire blue instead of red.¡± She continued.

    ¡°So, what you¡¯re saying is that because of this new chemical, it avoids the fire that was currently excreting to setting this planet on fire?¡± I said to Sarrie.

    ¡°Apparently, yes.¡± She replied.

    So, it gets attracted to fire? But how do you explain it getting inside of the plant¡­ When you look at it, its behavior doesn¡¯t have a certain type of pattern or signs, like if it only attracts to fire then the surrounding chemicals will go towards the source of the fire, but as seen in the plant¡ª

    My legs started to let loose, as my eyes started to close and my surroundings blurry.

    ¡°Sir!¡± Sarrie let out a cry as robotic hands catch my falling body.

    ¡°I¡­ Need to¡­ Learn more¡­¡±

    I suddenly see my self inside of an operating room, with an old lady lying in the hospital bed. She looked at me with teary eyes as she smiled at me, she holds my hands and said.

    ¡°It¡¯s okay son¡­ You can start now.¡± The woman said.

    No not this dream again, no! NO! Stop¡­ Stop!!!

    ¡°Close your eyes and try to move your hands.¡± The voice of a man suddenly talked to me.

    ¡°Doctor?¡± I said as tears started to come out from my eyes.

    ¡°If you ever had this dream again, remember my voice and do what I say, ¡®Close your eyes and try to move your hands¡¯¡­¡¯¡± He continued.

    I tried to close my eyes and moved my hands, but as expected of a dream I can¡¯t fully control it.

    The robotic hands at the top started to extend its arms towards the woman. The robotic hand pointed its needle towards the chest and pierce through it.

    I suddenly closed my and clenched my hands as blood squirted into my face.

    ¡°Mom¡­¡± I said with a low voice, As I slowly opened my eyes and began to look around at my surroundings. Cracks formed around at my surroundings, with white light started to come out. The floor beneath me started to shatter and I end up falling from the sky.

    Thin clouds hit my face with strong air resisting my fall, I stretched my arms and widened my feet. I looked below and saw a flat hill below.

    A few moments later I collided with the ground below, it doesn¡¯t hurt nor did my bones break for in this world I don¡¯t feel pain.

    Every time I lucid dream, I always ended up in this state, normally I roam around to see what my dream has in store for me, but this time it is different, I saw a large crowd of humans surrounding me.

    I got up and started to look around, men and women from all ages stared at me with cold eyes.

    ¡°Why are you here? I don¡¯t remember meeting you all.¡± I said to them.

    It is normal for you to dream about others if you see them or just by looking at them even if you don¡¯t know them, but this level of detail and accuracy made me wonder if I ever met them before.

    ¡°It is us who are supposed to answer that question to you.¡± as the voices of men and women, young and old mixed together.

    ¡°What do you mean?¡± I said.

    ¡°When someone fully controlled their dreams, one can communicate the remnants of souls within ¡®Maretia¡¯ and access the knowledge and wisdom to those who are fallen.¡± They said.

    Thanks for the suggestions brain! From now on, on this planet that I¡¯ve discovered will be called ¡°Maretia¡± Wait¡­ Souls¡­? People¡­? Impossible! There are no people on this planet.

    ¡°Oh please, there is no intelligent species like humans in this planet,¡± I said as I chuckled

    ¡°You may be skeptical about this, but it is true¡­ There are humans and other beings in this world.¡± They said.

    ¡°What nonsense!¡± I raised my voice.

    ¡°Humans lived and breathe in this world, including the persons who summoned you in this world.¡± They said.

    ¡°Summoning? That¡¯s crazy talk! There is no such thing as summoning!¡± I said as I moved my hands going up and down facing them.

    Wow¡­ I¡¯m having fun talking to these people, the amount of detail and attention that¡¯s been given from my brain is amazing!

    ¡°In your dimension it is, but in this dimension, it¡¯s possible.¡± They said.

    ¡°Okay¡­ what does this all mean?¡± I said.

    ¡°But now you are living inside of the fourth dimension, a dimension on which you can see and experience the fourth characteristics inside of this universe. Time, Matter, Space, and Magic. Magic is the result of Mana being manipulated by ¡®will¡¯.¡±

    Magic? What a coincidence! The description fits in nicely on how magic works in fantasy books and novels, except for that ¡°will¡± part. I think my brain is messing with me.

    ¡°Woah, Woah! That¡¯s enough brain! This doesn¡¯t make any sense now!¡±

    ¡°You still don¡¯t believe us?¡± They asked.

    ¡°I mean, what kind of person will believe from the stuff that the people in your dreams will say? Magic, summoning that¡¯s all nonsense!¡± I said.

    ¡°Then what will we do to make you believe us?¡± They said.

    ¡°I don¡¯t know¡­¡± I said.

    ¡°Aren¡¯t you what people call a ¡®scientist¡¯, right? A person who studies and learns about the unknown.¡± They asked me.

    ¡°Okay¡­¡± I responded.

    ¡°Attack it?!?¡± I raised my voice and opened my hands.

    I¡¯m going to attack it?!? Just as I was about to be cured by my trauma.

    As the surroundings around me began to twirl the people surrounding me, began to say. ¡°Come back to us again by controlling your dreams, ask us anything after you proved that we and everything that we say is true and not something that your brain normally makes!¡±

 6. Magic

    I slowly opened my eyes and slowly rose up from my bed as I yawned and stretched my hand.

    ¡°Back then¡­ Was it truly a dream?¡± I said.

    But then I remembered the words that the people said in my dreams ¡°We will send forth a sign¡±

    I will certainly not believe nor follow what the people in my dreams will say, of course only a lunatic or a mad man will do that but there is something on what they say that makes it believable.

    The fact that I was suddenly transported without any reasons nor logic behind it makes me want to consider the concept of ¡°Magic.¡± Just as they say a scientist is supposed to collect information from both sides whether or not you think it is the truth or not.

    With this in my mind, I put both of my feet on to the ground and started to walk towards the door. as I slowly reached towards the door, it automatically slides open for me to exit.

    I then walk the halls in my laboratory thinking what to do next. Part of the signs is to attack the beast that attacked me earlier. The problem was that I was somewhat traumatized by the sudden attack.

    I wasn¡¯t attacked like that before, so it is to say that it was my first-time experience that kind of event.

    But what reassured me is that they predicted that one of my assistants have already learned a way to defeat the beast and I think that the assistant that they are referring to is the Security Boot Manager.

    I program Security Boot Manager to analyze and to learn its previous battles.

    ¡°Why didn''t I think of this?!¡± I thought to myself. Maybe I was too much occupied by the recent events.

    As I continuously walk through the halls, a holographic screen suddenly showed at my side showing a color gray halo ring, then Sarrie started to talk to me. The halo-like figure started to change its shape as she talked. ¡°Sir is it ok for you to be walking right now? aren''t you supposed to be resting?¡±

    A while back, I decided that whenever I talk to Sarrie, a holographic screen will be shown and be manifested by a gray holographic screen, because of the awkwardness when I talk to Sarrie,

    I then replied to her ¡°It''s okay, it was just a small occurrence¡­ I was just been overwhelmed by the recent discoveries.¡±

    I then look to the holographic screen and started to ask ¡°What is the probability that the concept of magic exists in this world?¡±

    Sarrie then replied to me saying ¡°The probability is 30 percent, sir¡­¡±

    ¡°30 percent¡­¡± so there is a slight probability that magic exists in this world, but why does my rational and logical artificial intelligence think of this probability? To confirm this, I asked, ¡°Why do you think of that possibility?¡±

    ¡°By collecting various variables, from the fact that the laboratory was suddenly transported into another world plus the additional discovery of the new strange composition adds up to the probability that magic might be the cause of all of this.¡± She said.

    ¡°Have you¡¯ve considered any sort of explanations why we are suddenly in this world?¡± I asked.

    ¡°I have two, sir¡­ One is by a phenomenon called "Space Distortion" and the other is what you said, Sir¡­ And that is, magic.¡±

    Yes¡­ The other explanation to all of this might be what we call ¡°Space Distortion.¡± There is this occurrence in the universe in which some parts of space will be ripped and the mass surrounding it will be sucked and will be transported into another part of the universe.

    But if we are truly transported into another planet caused by "Space Distortion" then explain why this planet inhabits strange behaviors that we haven''t seen before, plus this strange component that broke the laws of the universe.

    ¡°So, what you are saying that because of these strange happenings in this planet made you think that we are transported not within our universe but somewhere else,¡± I said.

    ¡°Yes sir¡­¡± she said. I nodded as I considered the thought.

    And then I ordered Sarrie. ¡°I want to speak to Security Boot Manager.¡±

    ¡°Right away, Sir¡­¡± She said.

    ¡°SIR! WHAT DO YOU NEED SIR?!¡± a voice of an old man raised his voice.

    I then asked Security Boot Manager. ¡°Have you figured out a way to effectively destroy the beast that attacked me earlier?¡±

    ¡°SIR YES SIR! I COLLECTED THE INFORMATION AND RUN SIMULATIONS LAST NIGHT.¡± He said.

    ¡°Calm down old man¡­ There is nothing to be excited about.¡± I said to myself.

    How did the people in my dreams realize that my assistant can do such things? but then the idea hit me, maybe it was all a dream, maybe my memories gave my brain some information about Security Boot Manager and its functions, because as the saying goes ¡°If you don''t know the answer then let your dreams answer that question.¡±

    ¡°Then explain it to me in details on how are we going to eliminate the beast, as I am going to prepare myself,¡± I ordered Security Boot Manager.

    ¡°WILL DO SIR!¡± Security Boot Manager said as he raised his voice.

    ¡°BUT SURPRISINGLY THE ONLY WAY TO KILL THE BEAST IS TO HAVE A NEARBY OBJECT TO BE EXPLODED WITHOUT ANY LOGICAL REASONS AT ALL!¡± He said.

    It is indeed surprising¡­ Because no matter which it is, explosions or the hardest bullet. Both can deal a lot of pain to the receiver, especially that a simple bullet has the chance to penetrate inside. Might as well consider, that the bullet can deal more damage than a simple explosion.

    After I was done brushing my teeth, I then proceed to take off my clothes and enter the shower.

    After entering it, the shower automatically sprinkled some water into my body as the shower curtains automatically covered me.

    ¡°THUS, I HAVE CREATED A MACHINE THAT CAN LAUNCH A PROJECTILE THAT EXPLODES!¡± he continued.

    ¡°THE EXPLOSIVE WILL BE EXPLODED IN A SHORT TIME THUS I HAVE PROGRAMMED THE MACHINE TO CALCULATE THE DISTANCE AND THE TIME FOR THE EXPLOSION FOR IT TO HAVE AN EFFECTIVE WAY TO ELIMINATE THE BEAST!¡± he said.

    ¡°That is indeed brilliant, Security Boot Manager!¡± I said as I smiled as water drips into my mouth.

    After taking a shower, robotic arms that are holding a towel started to wipe my skin, following that is another set of robotic hands that are holding the clothes that I will wear.

    After wearing my clothes, I said to Security Boot Manager. ¡°Then show me the machines that you have built.¡±

    ¡°YES, SIR YES!¡± He raised his voice.

    I walked down towards the first floor where the factory is located and saw the machine that Security Boot Manager created.

    ¡°THERE IT IS SIR!¡± He said.

    The machine is shaped like a metallic cannon, but the difference between it and a regular canon is that instead of having four mounted regular wheels attached. It has what is called a ¡°continuous track,¡± that makes it possible for the machine to move, more like a tank and at the edge of the cannon, there is a rectangular bump that makes it possible for it to recognize the surroundings.

    Hmm¡­ what should we name this brand-new machine? I pondered a bit and then arrived a name for it to be called.

    I smiled and said. ¡°Cannon Blaster!¡±

    ¡°SIR! WILL THAT BE ITS NAME?¡± Security Boot Manager asked.

    ¡°Yes!¡± I said.

    I look at the holographic screen at my side and said. ¡°We will begin the second day of our expedition! Bring the appropriate number of cannon blasters, some security robots and one Neo Go.¡± I ordered Security Boot Manager.

    ¡°YES, SIR YES!¡± he said as he raised his voice.

    ¡°I¡¯ll go back in the second floor for me to be equipped with armor,¡± I said to him before walking towards the second floor.

    ¡°WE WILL ALL BE WAITING!¡± He said.

    I then walked towards the armory room on the second floor. As I entered inside, I saw different types of armor stacked on different shelves. The room is filled with different kinds of armor that I have created. This room was intended for military officials to request a certain type of armor or even choose a pre-made one.

    I stated the armor that I wanted to wear. ¡°Harden Plask¡± and then a holographic screen showed up with a confirmation button, I then clicked ¡°Proceed.¡±

    Harden Plask ¨C it is an armor vest that automatically hardens a part where the hostile object is going towards and can even change its temperature to suit the user''s needs.

    As robotic arms started to attach the armor into my body, I then thought to myself. ¡°Why didn¡¯t I wear an armor before I did an expedition yesterday?¡± Maybe I was too excited and ignored the fact that there might be hostile beings on this planet.

    After equipping myself with armor, I then proceed to the hall leading towards the exit and saw the robots that Security Boot Manager has sent for this expedition, there is a total of 4 cannon blasters, 2 security robots and 1 Neo Go.

    As I was about to go near the robots, Sarrie suddenly reported to me. ¡°Sir! I have a piece of important news to report to you!¡± She said.

    ¡°And what may that be?¡± I said.

    ¡°The grounder bots have discovered oil!" She said.

    By this statement, my eyes widened.

    This might be the happiest news that I have discovered from the time that I was transported in this world! And oil is apparently right below the laboratory!

    I then continued to walk, passing the other robots and finally arriving at the front of the door. I closed my eyes and began to inhale air and then exhale it.

    Moments later, I opened my eyes and said as I raised my voice. ¡°Open the doors! Our second expedition will start!¡±

    ¡°Yes, sir good luck!¡± Sarrie said before opening the doors.

    As light shines unto my face as the door reveals the outside little by little, it is time for me to learn the truth.

    I faced to the east and followed what the people in my dreams have said. ¡°walk for about 5 kilometers.¡± From this, I started to walk as my robots followed me behind my back.

    We continued to walk and walk and finally reached our destination. I looked around at my surroundings to see if there is something happening nearby but all I see was nothing only an abundance of trees and strange plants.

    As I left out a sigh because of the disappointment the ground suddenly vibrates. I paused a little and observe my surroundings. I looked down below to see if the beast will show up but there is none. I then heard the sound of a beast shouting. I then look straight and saw what I didn¡¯t expect to see.

    My eyes widened from what I''ve seen. There are two figures that I was searching all along!

    I saw the beast that attacked me yesterday and surprisingly there is a white furry bunny like creature!

    How can this creature exist in this world? Just like the trees and the grass are alike in the plants back home, how can such organisms exist and evolve? Then it hit me, the people in my dreams said that magic exists in this world. if it does what I think it does then that means¡­ Everything that happened so far is because of magic!

    The people in my dreams were right! Everything that they have said was true!

    I wanted to observe what will happen next but currently, I am too far away from them¡­ I then saw a nearby bush ahead and rushed towards it, I hid behind the bush and peaked at the situation.

    The beast keeps on shouting as the bunny like creature turns its head from left to the right to see a way to escape as it breathes heavily from the pressure.

    The creature then implants both of his hands on to the ground and started to grab the portion of the soil and lifted it up. The beast once again shouted towards the rabbit-like creature.

    It then throws the soil it was holding towards the creature, but as the soil was about to hit the creature, the creature using its two-legged feet jump high as it can and avoided the soil, it then landed to the right.

    He raised both of his furry hands and white particles suddenly became visible on the surroundings and move towards at the top of its hands and began to form a white circular form.

    ¡°Just like the strange particles that we have discovered!¡± I said to myself.

    Then the rabbit began to raise its voice and said. ¡°FiraBalli!¡±

    I opened my mouth widely and widen my eyes. ¡°This creature can speak?!¡± I said quietly. Then again there is magic in this world that made this possible. Woah! What¡¯s this? Believing just because of magic? It¡¯s like my rational and logical thinking has begun to shut down.

    After the rabbit said those words, it pointed the circular white form towards the beast and then red flaming balls started to rush towards the beast.

    ¡°Amazing so magic can do such a thing!¡± I said to myself.

    But as this hot flaming balls continuously hit the beast it seems that the beast was not affected by it. The beast once again left out a shout.

    ¡°The beast was not affected by it¡­ Too bad, the bunny-like creature might die¡­¡± I said to myself, but then I remembered what the people in my dreams said. ¡°Save the beast.¡±

    ¡°Crap! I was too much absorbed on what happened so far that I nearly forgot about the freaking sign!¡± I said to myself. From this I started to stand, I then saw the bunny like creature looking at me while opening its mouth and I started to point towards the beast and raised my voice as I said. ¡°Attack!¡±

    The cannon blasters started to drive towards the bunny like creature and surrounded it, as the rest of the robots stayed by my side.

    The Beast inhaled a large amount of air as his chest began to increase and shouted a large roar. I covered my ears for it was too loud. It was like five megaphones shouting ¡°aarrgghhh¡± with a deep voice.

    After the beast shouted the cannon blasters are already done calculating when to shoot and started to eject the projectile.

    It was too fast for the beast to know what is going on and moments after the projectiles exploded one by one.

    A large amount of smoke covered the beast because of the explosions. The cannon blasters halt its shooting for seeing that this is already enough for the beast to be taken out. As it has predicted the body of the beast fell down towards the ground as it vibrates upon impact.

    ¡°Finally!¡± I said as I raised my voice. I¡¯ve finally conquered my fear of this beast! And I can be assured that my canon blaster will take care of all of this in the future!

    I then heard something that is jumping towards me at my back. After a short while, I felt something that is grabbing my pants below, I then looked below to see who was grabbing it.

    "This appreciate what thou did!" the rabbit-like creature said.

    English?... English?! Even English exists here! I would be disappointed if my head didn¡¯t literally explode from the shock.

    I then crouched and patted his head and said: ¡°It¡¯s alright!¡± As I smiled.

    Let¡¯s leave the English thing behind¡­ As I decided to ask something.

    ¡°Can I ask you a question?¡± I asked.

    ¡°Though proceed!¡± The rabbit said.

    Though its manner of speaking is strange¡­ but what the heck, as long as I can gather as much information as possible then I¡¯ll take the inconvenience!

    ¡°Does magic exist in this world?¡± I said.

    The rabbit looked at me and said. ¡°Affirmative.¡±

 7. Village

    ¡°Affirmative,¡± the rabbit said.

    I clutched both of the creature shoulders and stare to him deeply and said. ¡°Affirmative? As in yes? Like YES?! YES?!¡±

    The rabbit stared on to my face as his eyes widened and moved its furry head up and down at high speed.

    It¡¯s true! It¡¯s true!!!

    I stand up and jumped like an idiot and raised my voice as I put my hands in the air. ¡°Wooohoo! Magic is real! Magic is real!¡±

    I didn¡¯t know what made me happy this much. Was it because of the concept of Magic is real? ¨C Yes, that¡¯s right! Magic is the reason why I¡¯ve felt like this! Imagine what sort of applications that you will do with magic! Flying cars without electricity, Unbelievable weaponry to be created! With these things that I imagined, I said to myself. ¡°I can¡¯t wait to learn more about magic!¡±

    As I continuously jumped with a smile onto my face, I then heard a cracking sound behind me.

    ¡°What was that?¡± I said as my eyes widened.

    I stopped what I was doing and slowly looked at the back.

    I pointed at the beast¡¯s body as I raised my voice. ¡°What is happening!!?¡±

    Cracks suddenly started to form around the beast¡¯s body as white particles started to flow out of it.

    ¡°Just like what happened to the plant at the lab!¡± I shouted.

    As the white particles flow out of the beast¡¯s body the skin of the beast¡¯s started to transition its color from violet to gray.

    ¡°Demon has start to walk go the ground!¡± The creature said.

    ¡°What do you mean?¡± I ask the creature.

    ¡°When life has ended, the mana inside will join forces with Maretia.¡± The creature answered.

    But what about the piece of the grass that I brought to the lab? Wasn¡¯t it supposed to be like what happened to the beast now? But instead, it started to form cracks after tearing the piece. And mana? Like mana as in what the Polynesians believed? ¡°The more I learn the more questions I will ask huh?¡± I thought to myself.

    I think deeply to these questions that I have thought. I looked at the rabbit that is looking down at this squashed red fruit below him.

    ¡°This creature can be a nice lab rat to be researched on,¡± I said as I stared at the creature¡¯s body.

    ¡°Heh¡­ Heh¡­¡± I laughed a little as I left out a half smile.

    There aren¡¯t any research etiquettes in this world, right? As I thought about the idea, the rabbit suddenly said. ¡°Our food. It has destroyed!¡±

    That¡¯s its food? Really? For having this kind of body and has a lot of agility and stamina, it would be impossible for it to be alive and survive!

    ¡°Then again, Magic exists in this world,¡± I said to myself.

    I crouched in front of the rabbit and asked. ¡°¡¯ Our¡¯ food? You mean this fruit can sustain a whole family?¡±

    ¡°Not family, but village!¡± said the creature.

    ¡°Wait¡­ Do you have a village? Like you made the village and live there?¡±

    The rabbit nodded in reply.

    A village? A freaking village!? They have the intelligence and creativity to create a village? And this food can sustain them? Was it again because of¡­ Magic?

    ¡°God! I should stop this mannerism on thinking that magic is the answer to all of this!¡± I said to myself.

    ¡°This food on village! But all cannot live like this.¡± The creature said as tears started to come out from its eyes.

    ¡°Not many fruit for other to live, for fruit under the tree that call on demons.¡± The creature said.

    ¡°Hmm¡­ so this fruit exist below these trees?¡± I said as I pointed the tree behind us.

    The creature nodded.

    So that¡¯s why this creature was attacked by the beast. ¡°So, touching the parts of the trees can spawn a beast like that?¡± I said to myself. ¡°I should tell this information to Security Boot Manager¡±

    I started to stand and look at the cannon blasters at the side and said. ¡°Gather fruits like this as many as you can,¡± I said as I pointed the fruit that was below the tree.

    Because of my orders, robotic hands started to come out of each side of the cannon blasters and the cannon blasters started to roam around the forest.

    ¡°Don¡¯t worry little one!¡± As I lift my head, pump out my chest and pointed my thumbs around my chest, I then continued. ¡°For this fella right here will get as many fruits for your whole village!¡±

    I consider these creatures to be research subjects in the future, so I need to do as much as I can for these creatures not to be extinct.

    Explosions and roaring of the beast are started to be heard around the forest as the ground continues on shaking.

    The rabbit started to stand straight and looked around the forest.

    ¡°Don¡¯t worry! My servants are strong!¡± I smiled towards the creature. ¡°We will be safe,¡± I said.

    After a few minutes, I then heard the sound of wheels coming near us.

    ¡°They¡¯re here¡­¡± I said.

    The cannon blasters started to gather around us as they were holding the fruits that they¡¯ve gathered in their hands. The reason why it was easier for them to move without letting the fruits fall towards the ground was that their fingers can stretch as long as 12 meters.

    The creature opened its mouth and tears started to fall from its eyes.

    The rabbit then jumped towards my legs and started to hug me and said. ¡°Gratitude! Gratitude!¡±

    I then patted its furry head and said. ¡°Then¡­ Show me to your village! We will carry this all and give it to the others!¡±

    ¡°Okay!¡± The rabbit said as it raised its voice.

    Oh right! I¡¯m about to see the impossible! A village made by these creatures will be an awesome sight to see! What kind of houses did they build? What kind of society do they have? This is the reason why I¡¯ve been born in the first place! To learn more about the things around me!

    ¡°This path!¡± The rabbit said while pointing.

    I don¡¯t know where I am going, but¡­ no need to fret me! For my robots can memorize the locations and paths that can lead us back to where we came from!

    Moments have gone by and we¡¯ve arrived in our destination.

    ¡°Here!¡± The creature said.

    I looked around and haven¡¯t seen any houses nor creatures. The only thing that I see is a large bush in front of us. ¡°Maybe this creature is hallucinating because of its loneliness!¡± I thought to myself.

    ¡°Follow!¡± the creature continued.

    ¡°Oh¡­¡± I then followed the creature inside the large bush.

    As I push away the leaves in front of me as I continued to walk forward, I then got out inside the large bush and saw this site that I haven¡¯t seen before!

    I widened my eyes as this word started to escape through my mouth. ¡°Beautiful.¡±

    I saw furry white creatures talking to each other and some are walking and jumping in the ground. I then looked at the trees and saw wooden platforms that were tied that surrounds the trunk using a rope, there are also small houses in these wooden platforms. As I continued to look around this village with small rays of light that filled the entire area, I then said to myself ¡°This is truly ¡®magical¡¯.¡±

    ¡°Follow me! give fruit to the leader!¡± the creature said.

    I nodded in reply.

    As I followed the creature towards the center, the creatures suddenly stopped what they were doing and started to stare at me and the robots behind me.

    Amazing! Amazing!! These creatures can do such things! This wooden platforms around the trunks that they have made is built with the precise measurements of the circumference of the tree! Not even mere apes can do! And¡­ and¡­ these small houses are like those dog houses back home! How intelligent are these creatures?!?

    As I admired everything in this village the creature that I was following suddenly spoke to me and said. ¡°This is thy leader home!¡± I saw a large tree in front of me in which the creature pointed upwards, towards the platform at the top in which lies a small home.

    A creature started to come out of the small house and looked below us and said. ¡°You, Krim there?¡± The creature said.

    ¡°It is leader!¡± The other creature replied.

    The creature smiled and started to jump at the platforms surround the trunk. It then reached below us and started to jump towards the other creature in front of me and hug it.

    ¡°You survived!¡± The creature said. The creature looked at me and said. ¡°Brought human?¡±

    ¡°It is I, your majesty!¡± I said as I put my right hand at my stomach and bent my upper body. What am I doing?!

    ¡°No, no¡­ raised your head!¡± I did what it told me to do and it continues to say. ¡°What brings here in our humble domain?¡±

    The creature then replied towards the leader ¡°This saved! and get food for village!¡± the creature said.

    I then moved to the side and the cannon blasters behind me started to slowly drive forwards.

    ¡°This... is¡­¡± The leader said as it opens its mouth.

    ¡°I heard from the creature about the situation on your village, thus I did the initiative and gathered as many fruits as possible,¡± I said.

    ¡°A-amazing! Amazing!¡± The leader said as tears started to flow out from its eye. The creatures surrounding us began to cry and some started to jump and shout for joy.

    ¡°How thoughtful of you human! Not only did you save Krim! But also gave us food for us to survive for the next days to come!¡± The leader said as it wipes the tears onto its face.

    So, the creature that I saved is named Krim?... They even have names?!?

    ¡°Gratitude!¡± all of the creatures surrounding us said to me.

    The leader has ordered everyone to continue what they were doing as it invites me at the edge of the village to talk about my reward for doing all these things. I also ordered the robots to stay at the entrance of the village to wait for my command.

    ¡°We are truly thankful for what you did!¡± The leader said.

    I scratched my head and said. ¡°It was nothing.¡±

    So, this leader can speak fluently in English unlike the rest huh? Hmm¡­ I want to know why¡­

    ¡°Do you know who we are?¡± The leader asked.

    ¡°No,¡± I said.

    ¡°As expected, it had been a long time since the last time humans communicated to our species.¡± The leader said.

    ¡°That¡¯s Okay! Any information I get is fine by me!¡± I said as I raised my voice. The leader widened its eyes as it leans back.

    ¡°Ahh¡­ Sorry¡­ I have the tendency to be excited when learning new things.¡± I said as I chuckled.

    ¡°Ahem¡­ Well if that¡¯s what you want then we will give it to you!¡± The leader said.

    ¡°Then may I begin to ask?¡± I asked.

    ¡°Go ahead!¡± the leader said.

    ¡°Why are you fluent in speaking English,¡± I said¡­

    This truly bothered me throughout our conversation so¡­ I had to ask.

    ¡°Ah¡­ This language? Though you may call it English it is called flimingo in this world. And because I am the leader of this village it is required for me to learn and to be fluent for me to communicate to other races such as humans.¡± The leader said.

    ¡°Ah I see, I see¡­ Then how about magic?¡± I asked.

    ¡°Magic?... Ah yes Magic!¡± The leader said.

 8. "Gods and Goddesses of the forest"

    ¡°Ah! Magic! You want to lea¡ª¡± As the leader was about to continue its statement, it widens its eyes and started to ask. ¡°Yo-you don¡¯t have any magic back in your original world?¡±

    ¡°No. But it was some sort of a myth or part of a story in some fairy tales.¡± I said.

    ¡°So magic is like a legend to your kind?¡± The leader asked.

    ¡°U-um, yes!¡± I replied.

    ¡°Ah... You see, magic is essential to the livelihood of all the species in this world, I can¡¯t even begin to imagine a life without magic¡­ Without it maybe our village will cease to exist.¡± The leader said.

    Of course! Without it maybe your species will act like a rabbit back at my homeworld.

    The leader coughed a little and began to speak. ¡°Ahem¡­ then¡­ I will tell you what I have learned about magic.¡±

    I nodded as I rubbed my hands together in anticipation.

    ¡°Before I begin let me explain to you what is ¡®mana¡¯¡­ Mana is the constant flowing of energy throughout the world. Mana makes it possible for living things to be alive. For as long as a person is alive it has a finite amount of mana.¡± The leader said.

    The leader stood up and raised both its furry hands, he then closed his eyes and began to say. ¡°litus manacus toh eberis.¡± After saying such words, white particles began to appear surrounding them.

    ¡°This is mana! These white particles in front of you are the driving force of this world! You and I possess these particles that make us who we are!¡± The leader said.

    I then looked at both of my hands and said. ¡°Inside of me?¡± is it even possible for me to possess these things? Even though I am not from this world?

    ¡°Creatures that have conscience such as ourselves have the capacity to manipulate mana to our ¡®will¡¯ and that process is what we call ¡°magic¡±. For example, my village specializes in fire magic, it is the ¡®will¡¯ of my species to manipulate mana to produce fire¡­ Now let me explain ¡®Will¡¯ the driving force to manipulate mana¡­ For this example, I will produce a small fire in my finger.¡±

    The leader pointed at the sky and said, ¡°¡¯ Will¡¯ is the thing that you wanted to produce out of mana, for example, I ¡®will¡¯ for a simple fire to be shown on my fingers, as such you need to imagine it.¡± The leader closed its eyes and continued to say, ¡°After you got the image of a simple fire in your head, you then recite the ancient language to translate your ¡®Will¡¯ for it to be made a reality.¡± The leader opened its eyes and said, ¡°Magu Piere¡±

When you ¡®will¡¯ something, mana surrounding you as proportionate to your available mana will begin to be attracted by your ¡®will¡¯ as such if you ¡°will¡± something that requires a large amount of mana, then you must have a large amount of mana inside of you.¡± The leader continued.

    ¡°But how do you know if a certain amount of mana is required?¡± I asked.

    ¡°Through trials and errors, even our ancestors experimented with magic to produce a simple fire.¡± The leader said.

    ¡°The language that you recite when you do magic is also experimental, we don¡¯t know how to learn more about the ancient language but when magicians try to invent new magic techniques, they often miraculously recite those words.¡±

    So, learning new techniques is by pure chance? Or is it by completing a certain requirement? If it is by completing a requirement, then, I might program Sarrie to make a simulation on every possible way to produce a technique.

    ¡°That is all concerning magic, but there are also other people who have studied and learned more about magic outside of the forest.¡± The leader said.

    ¡°Ah¡­ Is that it¡­?¡±

    ¡°Yes¡­¡± The leader said.

    ¡°Ah.,¡± I said.

    ¡°Mhmm¡­¡± The leader replied.

    Gosh, this is so awkward.

    The leader tilted its head as I looked down and blushed a little. ¡°I wanted to know if I can do magic¡­ But¡­ why am I embarrassed to ask such a question?... What am I? A little child?!?¡±

    ¡°S-so¡­¡± I said.

    ¡°Yes?¡± The leader replied.

    ¡°I-is it possible for me¡­ To manipulate magic?¡± I asked.

    ¡°Yes! Of course!¡± the leader replied.

    I widened my eyes and gave a full smile¡­ I can do magic!?

    ¡°Even though I¡¯m not from this world?!¡± I said as I raised my voice.

    ¡°Hmm¡­ Maybe¡­ Let me see¡­¡± The leader said.

    The leader opened its hands towards me and closed its eyes, the white particles started to move towards the palm of the leader¡¯s hands. After a certain number of white particles have been sucked towards its palms the leader then opened its eyes and said. ¡°Aprose!¡±

    ¡°I see, I see.¡± The leader nodded.

    ¡°Hmm¡­ what is it?¡± I asked as I tilt my head to the right in the confusion.

    ¡°Your mana is¡­ How can I say it?¡± The leader said as it put its right hand at its furry cheeks and continued to say, ¡°¡­As twice as low as me¡­¡±

    ¡°What!?¡± I raised my voice. So¡­ that means¡ª

    ¡°You can only perform basic magic.¡± The leader continued.

    No!!! I can¡¯t do complex magic???

    I then paused a little and remembered what happened earlier. ¡°When the beast died, white particles started to come out of the cracked skin and began to change its color.¡± I thought to myself.

    ¡°When a living thing dies, does the mana inside of its body escape out of it and change its color?¡± I said.

    I then started to stand and began to say.

    ¡°Leader of the¡­¡± I looked at the leader and said. ¡°Um¡­ What is the name of this village?¡± I asked.

    The leader started to stand and replied. ¡°Oh¡­ I forgot to mention it¡­ our village is called ¡®Makenomen Village¡¯.¡±

    ¡°Okay then¡­¡± I coughed a little and continued to say. ¡°Leader of the Makenomen Village, I proudly present you a gift of my appreciation for accepting my presence!¡±

    A cannon blaster at the entrance of the village started to go around at the side of the village heading towards us and after a moment of waiting, it arrived at our side. I pointed at it and said. ¡°Please accept this servant of mine! It is capable of destroying the beast that hinders you to explore for food and¡­¡± Robotic hands started to get out from both sides of the cannon blaster, I then continued to say. ¡°And can even gather as much as 20 fruits!¡±

    The leader widens its eyes and said, ¡°N-no, no! There is nothing worthy of us to accept this powerful servant at our hands! Even our reward for you is insufficient!¡± the leader raised its voice as tears started to come out of its eyes.

    ¡°Then¡­ Teach me magic! Teach me how to manipulate mana!¡± I said.

    The rabbit stared at me with its teary eyes and said. ¡°Will it really be enough for the reward?¡± The leader said as it began to kneel in front of me.

    O-okay¡­ your over-exaggerating!

    ¡°Eh¡­ T-this is fine!¡± I said as I began to blush.

    ¡°Oh, Human! our great savior! We cannot thank you enough!¡± The leader said as a large number of tears flowed out of its eyes.

    I then crouched and started to pat its head. ¡°Then I¡¯ll come back tomorrow, for I have some matters to be done at my laboratory,¡± I said.

    ¡°L-laboratory?¡± The leader tilts its head.

    ¡°Ah! I mean my house!¡± I said as I laughed a little.

    ¡°Then I will leave one of my servants to you!¡± I continued to say as I patted the cannon blaster.

    After saying our goodbyes, we then walked away from the village to return towards the laboratory, the remaining robots guided me towards the laboratory, for they have memorized the path.

    ¡°I gave one cannon blaster to them, because aside for protecting the extinction of their species it is also to observe their society.¡± I thought to myself. The cannon blaster has a built-in camera recorder and a microphone that made it possible for me to observe how their society works.

    They are the first intelligent creatures that I met, so it is natural for me to make them my first ¡°research animals¡±, I chuckled and gave a half-smile of the idea.

    ¡°There are no etiquettes in this world about research restrictions, right? And also, this is part of the ¡®reward¡¯ that they wanted to give me.¡± I thought to myself.

    After a long walk from the village, we finally arrived at the laboratory. I looked above at the sky and noticed that it was about to go dark. I entered inside the laboratory and a holographic screen projecting a gray halo and a woman voice started to talk to me and said. ¡°Welcome back, Sir!¡±

    ¡°I¡¯m back, Sarrie,¡± I said.

    ¡°Then should we discuss the oil situation, Sir?¡± Sarrie said.

    ¡°Did you researched on its component and verified that it can be extracted and made it for energy?¡± I said.

    ¡°Yes, while you were gone for the expedition, I have researched about it and verified that it is possible to extract it and produce it for energy! But as I have expected, the mysterious particles are also mixed within the oil.¡± Sarrie said.

    ¡°Oh yeah about that, it¡¯s called mana,¡± I said.

    ¡°Really?¡± Sarrie said.

    ¡°Analyzed the recordings from my armor vest and put it on your memory as a piece of valid information about this mysterious particle that we have discovered,¡± I ordered Sarrie.

    I entered the door that is now in front of us and heard the sound of robotic hands working.

    I then walked a little, holding the metallic railings and looked down below to see what the robotic hands are doing.

    I then nodded and said to Sarrie. ¡°Then¡­ I will go to sleep for tomorrows training for magic! You take care of the rest Sarrie.¡± I said to her.

    She then said. ¡°Okay, sir! Goodnight!¡±

    In the forest, there is this large giant tree in the middle. At the middle of its trunk is a large circular crystal fused in it. At the top of its branches is a large building that shaped like a castle. It is what they call ¡°The castle of the forest gods¡± from the name itself. This is where the gods and goddesses of the forest lived.

    The castle is made up of different floors, on the second floor is where the gods and goddesses gathered together to hold a special meeting about the ¡°current situation.¡± The second-floor interior is filled with gold and a majestic carpet below, a circular metallic table is seen at the middle of the room and large windows at the side ¨C in which you will see the entire view of the forest. Sitting at the chairs near the round table are the gods and goddesses. There is a total of eight gods and goddesses that are ¡°protecting¡± the forest.

    ¡°How are things at your end Chmatu?¡± The voice of a man said. He is the god named ¡°Aulan¡±, he possessed a vast amount of knowledge and intelligence. His appearance is not human as everyone expected for a God to look like, but shaped like a pink jellyfish.

    ¡°Oh! It is doing great.¡± The voice of a cold woman said. She is the god named ¡°Chmatu¡±. She possessed the ability to manipulate the mind. Her appearance looks like a little girl.

    ¡°Really? It smells like bad news to me with that poker face and cold voice you have!¡± Said the woman that pose a seductive tone. She is the god named ¡°Detuand¡±. She is a beautiful woman known to be the goddess of lust. Her sexy body and clothing might seduce both men and women.

    Chmatu looked at Detuand and twitch her mouth. Then Detuand began to say. ¡°You know¡­ If you let me stay at your bed last night, I might have solved your cold and poker face.¡± She said as she pointed her fingers at her.

    ¡°I don¡¯t want to dirty my ¡°mind¡±.¡¯ Chmatu replied back.

    ¡°So, you do like me!¡± She said as she placed both of her hands at her cheek and blushed. ¡°Oh my~¡±

    ¡°Can we please move on?¡± Chmatu said as she faced towards Aulan.

    ¡°Ah, yes of course!¡± Aulan said.

    He floated upwards and began to say. ¡°I have called you here, to discuss an abnormality of the forest recently¡­ There is a large amount of mana being manipulated in the past few days, which is alarming because there are no races that lurk in this forest.¡±

    ¡°I have assured you that I have already taken care of those pests,¡± Said the man. He is the god named ¡°Dort¡± He possessed the power called ¡°gluttony¡± ¨C the power to eat its opponents and inherit their mana and increase his mana capacity. His is very fat, with short hands and medium size legs.

    ¡°Just as Dort said since there are no such things that can possess powerful mana lurking around the forests, Thus I propose an investigation upon the matter¡­ We don¡¯t want to repeat what happened 490 years ago.¡± Aulan said.

    ¡°Just as we are almost to complete the resurrection of our ¡°father¡± a new troublemaker has appeared in our mist!¡± The voice of a boy said as he raised his voice. He is the god named ¡°Bailael¡± He posses the power of ¡°foresight¡± ¨C a power that lets him see the future. He is a human boy wearing a black veil.

    Mini drilling well has been installed in various locations near the laboratory, orange smoke (because of the mana surrounding it) started to come out of the tube of the machines as it extracts the oil. The oil then proceeds towards the tube connecting it towards the laboratory to be extracted and transformed to be used for energy.

    Sarrie is the one in charge of the operation because she is only a program, she only saw the progress through binary bits of ones and zeros.

    But then, a strange occurrence happened. She detected an object below the ground coming towards the laboratory, she doesn¡¯t know what it is, thus she doesn¡¯t know what her counter-measures will be, luckily Security Boot Manager has already stepped up and made counter-measures. He switched the drilling machines to halt its process and sent out security robots outside of the laboratory. He then turned on the magnetic shield to protect the surroundings.

    Then suddenly outside of the magnetic field, the soil in the grown started to go upwards, as it goes upwards the soil became larger in width and began to show a pair of eyes and a mouth and began to say as he raised his voice. ¡°I am the god of the soil! ¡®Ethauroth¡¯ The one who protects the seal of the great dragon!¡±

    As the security robots aim their guns towards the god, he then continued to say, ¡°Who dares broke the protection that I have imparted towards the dragon?!!¡±
