《The oddity that shall be, my new life》 Chapter 1 (In the middle of Avenge Sevenfold''s - Afterlife) I sat in front of the computer bobbing my head slightly listening to my Pandora in class as I wrote my story, occasionally jotting down a name of a song into my notebook for later downloading to my phone. Like I am now, while my teacher reads in the background. I''m the guy with the mid-length strawberry blonde hair rocking light sideburns and light facial hair while including glasses, as I wore a black Punisher jacket, camo cargo''s on and a black shirt that has two vampire skulls facing opposite of each other with the leprechaun hats and clovers on them with wings behind the skulls. While I sat in the chair near the middle computer with my shirt effectively hiding my side pouch. I lightly tapped one of my two tungsten rings as I thought of content. I tilted my right wrist and looked at my watch from minor anticipative habit.2:23 pm,Almost time to go home.I thought as I calculated back on my watch. I sat there writing away as time ticked down till the bell rang. When it got to the three minutes left mark, I went about closing everything. After logging out, I closed my notebook and took off the aux cord from my headset. I got up, grabbed my notebook, my taped up mechanical pencil, and my current fluorescent green eraser before going to my pack as the other students gathered at the door. I stowed my items in my pack , but not before taking a quick drink of my Mtn. Dew. "Mmm, das ist good dew." I said in a slight German accent in contentment before stuffing it back in and equipping the pack. I then went to the teacher and selected a starting song.Let''s start with you 10 years my friend.I thought after selecting the song Wasteland. "May I go forth to the bus?" I asked my teacher in one of my deep soothing butler esque voices. The teacher gave a curt nod, and with that I went about wading through the cluster at the door. After getting through I went through my usual route from the second floor to the stairs, then going down them two steps at a time, before finally getting to the hallway leading outside. When I reached the door leading outside, I got an odd feeling. I narrowed my eyes looking about my surroundings with a wary look.Okay...gamer sense is going off...I thought while walking then my eyes widened with a realization.Oh son of a bitch I''m going to be captured, aren''t I? ...ooooh fucking lovely.I thought with a sense of disdain while getting paranoid. I began looking more rapidly while getting a few looks cast to me as my paranoia set in with my anxiety''s internal shaking. When I got to the door of the bus , trying to get in, I felt a pull. In mid air as I was leaping up from the first step of the bus, that pull rapidly got stronger. I gripped the rails with a death grip, causing a ringing sound from my tungsten rings hitting the metal rails. With wide eyes of fear as I was pulled into the direction of the sky. In possibly a sense of irony the the current song skipped to Time of dying from TDG as I gripped with rapid fear growing.I fucking knew it! "Ohfuckohfuckohfuckohfuckohcuuuuuuk!" I screamed very rapidly, as my voice reached a rather high pitch even for a guy. Which was easy for me since I have a somewhat high pitched voice that can adapt fairly well to begin with. The bus driver and her aid grabbed my arms and tried pulling me back into the bus, but as it would seem, They were not strong enough. "I AM NOT BEING KIDNAPPED BY WHO OR WHATEVER THE FUCKTARD IT IS, FUCKA NO FUCKA NO FUCK NO TO THE MORBID PITS OF FUCKING HHEEEELLL!!!" I howled as the grip of the driver and her aids grip began to fail rapidly. In that moment I ripped out of their grip and flew up into the air. "NONONOONONONONNONO DEAR MOTHER OF FUCK ALMIGHTY FUCK NOOOOOOO!!"I yelled with my high pitched blood curdling screams as I floated up more and more. I floated next to a light pole and grabbed on for dear life with a full-bodied death grip. "I REFUSE THY, BULLSHITTERYYYY!!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, before doing another high pitched scream that even began to hurt my ears slightly. The force that''s been pulling me began to pull harder."I know this is bad timing but I think we''reeither being pulled by, A: A tractor beam, B: telekinesis, or C: somethings using the fucking force!"One of my prominent two voices said in my mind. "Yeah, I''m betting on tractor beam." The other one commented in a semi nervous tone. "Im betting on that one too Vlad. Oh and Psycho, BIG no fucking shit factor dude; big ass no fucking shit!" I said to the sides in exasperation. The pulling began to hurt as I did my damnedest to hold on while people were freaking out and the teachers calling 911 and the such as they saw this spectacle proceed. I then went bug eyed as my grip on the pole was ripped off, with that I screamed a whole slew more of creative cursing. And before I knew it I warped out of existence from my spot in the air. "Shiiit!" I yelled loudly when I popped into a metal room of dull grays and landed almost face first, hard with one of my headphones popping off surprisingly. "Son of a fucking twat muffiiiin..." I groaned in a pained tone as I held my hands as I laid in a fetal position in pain. God it''s a pain in an ass having little to no pain tolerance... "Alright...who''s going in first?" I heard a muffled female voice say. "Not it." I heard a different one say.Okay, why in the unholy mother of fuck. Did I get kidnaped...of all of the other fucking people and this time of year too.I thought "Hey, possibility of no more school."Psycho said optimistically. "That and an impending death awaiting as well Psycho."Vlad pointed out."That, did not come into mind..." The voice of madness replied realizing his lack of forethought. "Hey Lyra did you get three kids instead of the one?" One of the female voices said. "I hope not, why?" The one I thought is called Lyra said in confusion. I then bug eyed.Oh my fucking god. One of them is a telepath...fuck my life...I thought in a regrating tone. "Then she better not stay for long before we go in our usual thought processes hehehehe."Psycho giggled evilly. "Oh what degree will we go? My ever gutter minded friend." Vlad asked obviously intrigued. Psycho just laughed with an evil psychotic laughter for his answer. "So that degree! Oh I''m going to love seeing the girl''s face muhahhahah!" I quickly got up as my two sides conversed and in the process I felt four familiar objects then looked down to my belt then smiled a little evilly but mostly glad seeing what was strapped to my belt. "Oh thank sweet mary mother of god!" I said quietly. The four items I did not expect were, my gerber fixed blade knife, one of my kukri knives that was rounded at the tip with blood channel holes along the blade body, my large bowie knife and my machete. I was rather armed for the occausion oddly enough, though being able to defend myself was no complaint of mine. "Um, guys he knows I''m a telepath." The female voice said seeming aware of my thoughts. "Wait, how? We just picked him up." The second female said in a sense of disbelief. "He must of have knowledge of psychic types then." The first voice said in an almost matter-of-fact. My eyes widened again. "Oh fuck me running to hell and back..." I said in a worried and annoyed tone of what I think I''m possibly going to meet. "I don''t think they thought I could hear from in here..." "Wait! Did I just hear type in the midst of that sentence?"Psycho asked in wonder."I would believe so and we only know one realm that has types...I think I know what the ''people'' on the other side of the door are...."Vlad added. "Oh you got to be shitting me." I said in in a rather deep and thick scottish accent. "We be not shitting thee!"Psycho said in a medieval tone. "Well son of a fuck waffle." I said in an annoyed tone as I searched for a place to hide in the room. It was fairly dark so that''s going to help big time. I looked to my left and saw a large amount of crates then looked to my right and saw more. I lightly raised a brow. "Huh, storage." I began hearing the conversation of the women on the other side of the door starting to come to a close of which one''s coming through and checking. I ran in a crouch, as I did this TDG''s fallen angel came up. I then hid behind a mound of crates then placed my pack down beside me then knelt and unzipped the middle pouch then took out one of my drinks and took a big drink then placed it back in the pack then unsheathed my machete. After I did that, I heard the door slid open. "Right now. I hate you guys so much..." A female voice said annoyed with a hint of fear underlining her voice walking in. "Goodluck!" I hear the other one say then the door closed. "Oh so much hate..." The voice that entered the room said while her nervousness was growing in the girl''s voice. I side shuffled to the edge of the crate silently, then risked a peek of who and or what came into the room with me. "Oh son of a bitchand holy hot damn...!"Me,Psycho and Vlad said obviously surprised at the same time albeit me being quiet. We saw what we didn''t expect. A Gardevoir that looked like it was out of a fanart for Airalin that''s...how should I say this...major realisticness and kind of high def looking, and um...ahem...endowed. She had azure colored eyes with a streak with said color but a darker shade in her hair that lined itself with the hair that''s almost covering her left eye. She also wore a black choker with a little skull on it, The skull kind of looked like the one on Souleater (the anime). "Well I didn''t expect there to be a Gardevoir in real life, let alone seeing one in person that looks kind of like Airalin." Vlad said surprised. "And she looks cute too with a nice pair of Double D''s."Psycho commented with the sound of a grin in his tone. The said Gardevoir gave a surprised look with a minor blush. "Have you never seen a Gardevoir?" She asked, almost unsure to do so. Psycho took his chance of answering. "Well we know of them and seen one but only in the anime, games, fanfiction and well-" He cleared his throat. "Fanart as well." "Wait...anime? Fanart? Games? What are you talking about?" The Gardevoir asked very confused, this time I chose to answer. "''Twould seem you do not know much of this world, or if in a different case. This dimension! Upon this realm that I live upon...pok¨¦mon aren''t real here. Only in a realm of fiction." I explained in my mid pitch voice although slightly deeper than usual. "What?" The Gardevoir said in a calm disbelief of what I was talking about. "Bullshitting, there be not, for what I say." I said noticing her disbelief. "Then how am I standing here talking to you then?" She asked with crossed arms and a raised brow. With this I replied. "Well my two theories...either a dimension jump from your realm to mine upon another planet much like your own then after coming to my planet you and those others came to my school right after it ended for the fucking day and kidnnaped me, for some fucked up reason or another. Or you left a planet that your race has evolved from. Either that was far or near this system and came here doing what I said in the end of the last bit of what I said." I explained raising my voice to a sum degree. I saw that the Gardevoir now had widen eyes of surprise. "How did he figure this out? Well...roughly. He''s more intelligent thanhumans lead on." The Gardevoir thought somewhat distraught. "''Tis be correct?" I asked curious. "I think you are dude. Judging by facial expression on either part."Psycho commented. The Gardevoir nodded. "Sooo! Question. Why, in the unholy fuck am I here?" I asked inalmostcheeriness. This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. The Gardevoir gave a moment of thought, choosing her words carefully before answering. "We...needed you for a, task..." She trailed off nervously. My eyes narrowed out of suspicion. "And what ''twould be thy task?" I asked in a deep voice with a medieval tone. "I...can''t tell you at...this time." She said with hesitation with a underlying timid tone. Psycho. Vlad. Go at it...I ordered."With pleasure!"Psycho said in his Igor voice. I saw that the Gardevoir looked confused at that order I gave then soon found out as her face began turning redder and redder by the second. She began walking backwards with her hands over her mouth in shock and a deep red blush of what''s going through my mind. I quietly chuckled at her reaction, when her back touched the wall she slid down to the floor. "Shall ve?" Vlad asked in a German accent aloud. "Might as well" I replied. I stepped out of my hiding spot as the darkness that concealed me. I began walking to her with my machete pressed against the back of my forearm while I held it in a underhand position. She saw my weapon when I entered the light of the room and she began to get scared as I neared her. Even though I may not have a good imagination. When it wants to...it can bring up vivid images of killing and dismemberment...even when I don''t want it to. Her eyes widened more in fear this time with her blush disappearing tripping backwards when I got near her and knelt down, she saw my eyes. Seeing a hidden but ever waiting killing intent with a twinge of psychosis then seeing the images after trying to peer into my mind to find out what I would do. "Why do you have such a twisted mind?" She asked with underlying fear in her voice. I smiled a somewhat demented smile and a slight tilt of the head. "Just a thing of psychosis that builds up through the days." I replied as the song Slip to the void by Alter Bridge came up on my playlist. "Plus this might bring ease to your fear...I''m not going to kill you, and the images you saw of dismemberment. I do not plan to do anything of the sort to you. They pop in at random...so, best not to look into my mind often, unless you want more of the first kind of images, before the bloody ones came up." I explained with a dark smirk. She calmed by a small margin. "You''re not?" She asked unsure. "No. I''ve never liked the thought of killing women. Including one such as yourself." I explained in a more kinder tone. She seemed a little surprised of that statement, and the shift in emotions. "Plus if it makes you feel better, we haven''t murdered anyone...yet."Psycho mentioned putting emphasis on ''yet'' to the Gardevoir with a short demented chuckle. "That''s, enlightening..."The Gardevoir thought. There were a few moments of silence between us before I asked in my more calm tone. "So. Why did they send you in here?" She was silent for the moment before answering. "Mainly to try and calm you after you were abruptly brought aboard." "...Uh-huh." I said suspicious. I then placed my machete blade end down using it somewhat for balance with that small clang of metal on metal sounded. "Finding that a little difficult to see." She held up her hands in a emphasis gesture. "I swear, I''m not lying!" "...Okay...then what''s the other bit you''re supposed to do then?" I asked relatively calmly. "Gain your trust..." She said somewhat nervously. On the other side of the door.... On the other side of the door stood three other creatures, one that was a shiny Leavanny with a dark purple bandana tied to her left arm, another was a humanoid looking Serperior with long black hair wearing a black sleeveless shirt and black shorts with a black and white band on her tail with a white stripe on it. Then a Delphox with a pair of goggles resting on her forehead and a black fingerless glove which had a exotic skull design on her right hand. (heres some representations of some of the characters. Though sadly without some of the mentioned gear. ...And yes these are the closest representations I could find, trust me if I could draw these I would, but I can''t art...at all, I only color and that has its limits.)
"Do you hear what they''re talking about?" The humanoid Serperior asked the Delphox curiously as the three had their ears pressed against the door. The Delphox had a look of concentration as she listened. "Hmmm..." She waited a few moments before she answered. "Well, there was some odd discussion of where we came from, from the boy I assume, then there was feet shuffling. Then a clang of metal a few moments after that." She explained with a small undertone of interest. The Serperior gave the Delphox a raised brow of question. "A clang of metal? Like a pipe hitting the metal floor like clang of metal?" "No, not like that...like...something being put down or held to the ground or something to that sense." The Delphox said. "So...like a bladed or blunt weapon? Sound anything like that?" The Leavanny asked. "Maybe." The Delphox Answered. "It was a short kind of clang of metal. So, Hailix I''m going to go with your suggestion here." She continued. "Let''s hope Zil''s okay in there." The Serperior said with a small note of worry as she was straining her ear to hear what''s going on, on the other side of the door. Back in the storage room... "Alright, you know what. Let''s restart our little meeting here." I said standing up, then slid my machete back into it''s sheath and rapped it''s velcro strap on the handle. Then the song Witchcraft by Pendulum played. I held my hand out to the sitting Gardevoir and showed what is my somewhat usual smile. She looked at me slightly confused, then looked at my outstretched hand. She clasped my hand and I pulled her back up to her feet. "My name''s William." I said in my more usualslightlyhigh pitched voice with it''s notes of cheerfulness. (it''s not as high pitched as you''d think, and thankfully not annoyingly.) "Zilnia..." She said somewhat quietly. "Well that''s a cool unique name. Alright one thing you should know with me is I''m usually nice." I explained. "He is actually, but still an asshole."Psycho said with a chuckle at the end. Hey it takes one to know one!I mentally said to Psycho with my own small chuckle. "I take it you have a split personality disorder. Am I right on this?" Zilnia asked actually curious at the moment. I looked at her with a slightly raised brow then smiled. "Well, maybe. But I''m going to generally say no since I haven''t had a physical take over from the other two." I explained. "Though I''m not discerning that I don''t have voices in my head, you know them already." I continued. "A little too well right now..." She said which Psycho giggled. "Trust me. It gets worse." I said with a laugh. "Though entertaining as hell!" Vlad commented. "Heh, maybe Nami, Hailix and Lyra might like you then." Zilnia said with a undertone of humor with a small smile. She was still somewhat uncertain of the human, if that underlying psychosis is to be put in prospect. "Really now? Zen that must of been ze ozher voices I heard through ze door?" I asked in my german accent. "Yeah actually." Zilnia admitted. The door must of been thinner or less dense than she thought. "Alrighty then." I commented going back to my normal voice then looking at the door for a moment then looked back at the Gardevoir. "So...shall we get me acquainted with the others?" I asked with a smile. "Might as well, since they''re getting worried." Zilnia agreed. "Understandably." I commented. We then started to make our way to the door making a bit more of small talk as we walked. When we got near the door it slid open with which we continued walking through. As I walked through I was paying attention to Zilnia, when all of a sudden I bumped into something or someone which my face got buried into something warm and soft with my vision being blocked. Then I immediately realized what my face was between, with which I smiled rather gleefully. "Why hello there!" I said very enthused and surprised of the situation as my sentence was half muffled before I pulled my head out and then looked up a bit, I then contracted the muscles of my scalp as I bug eyed a little adding to my sense of surprise while I shrugged my shoulders making it look like I shrunk my neck in, while taking a step back. I saw an endowed long black haired humanoid looking Serperior wearing a black sleeveless tank top slightly cropped over her navel with same colored shorts with a black and white single striped band on her tail standing before me with hands on hips, she stood almost a head and a half taller than me with a surprisingly kind looking smile looking down at me. "Well aren''t you a brave little handsome man?" She said with a difficult to spot seductive undertone. Then Motley crue''s girls girls girls started playing for a sense of irony for my part. I''m not on this ship for twenty minutes. And through whatever godly luck. I...just had my head between a lovely pair of gazongas...Oh holy sweet mary mother of christ, fuck yee-heh-heh-heess!I thought surprised, happy and stunned at the same time doing the biggest inward grin as I kept a straight as possible face though being wide eyed and letting my shoulders back to their usual position. "Vell then...this just turned interesting." I said a little stunned for once. The calmness of the situation so far, and two, sudden standing faceplant into this Serperior morph''s rack. "Dude...the holy shit levels. Just went off the charts..." Psycho said stunned. "Huh, the pictures did not do justice." I heard one female voice chime in to my left which I turned to said direction to see with a raised brow...A Delphox and a Leavanny. "Yeah your right Lyra. The pics don''t do justice, he looks better in person." I did a ''Ummm...what the fuck!?'' face from the comments though admittedly somewhat flattered from them. "This is a dangerous place for a teen, especially you Will. Keep your thoughts and your little regian hidden..." The latter will be doable. But the former. That''s going to be nearly impossible with the thoughts I have...I thought admitting. "Especially with the girls around here."I heard a now somewhat familiar voice pop in my head to warn me. "...how long have you been listening...?" Psycho asked semi nervous. "Long enough to warn you about these girls."Zilnia said with a blush noticing some of the thoughts that were coming up in my mind, I then turned my head to her. "The two you should watch out for would be Nami and Lyra. For several reasons, I''m sure you can figure some of those reasons." "......Gig-"Psycho began but got interrupted by Vlad. "No! Bad, down boy! Down!"He said sternly. "Awwwww...damn it."Psycho whined quietly. I was silent from shock and minor anxiety while looking around looking at the pokemon around me adjusting my mind to what''s happening so far. Then the tribute song of Journey from Miracle of sound began to play. The Serperior morph then lightly raised a brow then asked with some curiosity. "So, what''s your name?" I snapped my attention back to the morph. "I''m, William. You could call me William, Will, or Wilhelm. If you''d like." I said somewhat casual getting a little more used to them. "Alright, so how are you from that little pick up?" "Initially scared shitless, then confused as all hell. Still on that bit. Surprised as all hell, but other then that...surprisingly, decent." I said being fairly honest. "Well that''s good to know." I heard from who I might think might be Lyra as I turned my head to look then seeing a Delphox walk to me. "Well holy hell that comment from earlier was correct...""What are you- Oh, Oooh...nevermind." Vlad asked but immediately got his answer while I looked down slightly then he did a minor shuddering sigh. "Yeah...if this keeps up...this is going to continually get more dangerous...oh god...Look up! Eyes back up now!" I did so heeding his ple going back to eye level to the Delphox. "...Screw it. Holy Cleavage batman!"Psycho declared. Really?I asked. "Oh entirely!" He answered wholeheartedly....Okay I can''t blame you on that...I admitted. I heard a quiet giggle from Zilnia from our banter at the moment from what''s happening. Nami then eyed Zilnia with a smile and a raised brow. "What''s got you giggling?" She asked her quietly. "Just the bantering from his mind." Zilnia answered. "Really now?" "Yeah...it may be odd but he''s bantering with his two other voices of his mind." "Huh, interesting." Nami noted with some intrigue. "I wonder what''s going on in his head..."She pondered. The Leavanny then approached me which I assumed would be Hailix, stopping about two or so feet from me, and looking at me as if analyzing me. "You know, you look like you''ll be fun to have on board." She stated with a dismissive smile. Which caused me to furrow my brows with widened eyes to show a serious questioning look."Wait does she mean? Wait...ohhohoh this is going to be fun."Psycho said his mind wondering and implementing ''situations'' into my imagination, which I hurriedly and with difficulty pushed aside. "Psycho I don''t think she meansThatkind of fun...most of it..." Vlad Stated which could very well be true. Oh...dear god...I thought.Wait...why do I get the sense there is more thanthese girls next to me.I thought in a note of dread and a tiny spark of excitment. "Forgot to mention that..." Zilnia admitted. ____________________________________ Alright lovely people, if this shows some feedback i''ll post in more soon. Till then, enjoy some of the other works here. Chapter 2 "Possibility of being laid is strong in this place..." Psycho noted in his best cryptic voice when he heard that, which caused Zilnia''s face to show a small blush with her eyes widening a little. Lyra looked at her with a questioning look seeing the blush. "So what''s making you blush Zilny?" Lyra asked in a sly tone and a small smirk. Which caused me to look at her as well. Shit... "I''m not going to voice what was said..." Was her simple answer with a stern undertone. "I''ll get it out of you eventually heheheh." Lyra said with a chuckle. "So, William was it?" Hailix asked me which I turned my attention to her. "Yeah?" I answered a little unsure of what she could want... "Up for a tour of the ship? You know since you''re going to be here for a while." She inquired with a smile, and stating a rather painfully obvious fact for me. "She better not do the thing, to us on this ''tour''" Psycho said still unsure of these girls motives yet. "Wait...you mean ra-oh, Oh that thing...she tries that sort, book it dude." Vlad said. Duly noted. I replied back as the Lugia''s song remix began to play. "Uuuh...sure..." I said in a rather hesitant note. The Leavanny easily picked up the hesitance. "Oh don''t worry, i''m not going to do anything to you, not like Lyra and Nami would do." She said gesturing to the said two with a wry smile to them. "Hey! We''re not that bad!" Nami said with a chuckle. "Comforting..." Vlad said at the comment. "Will, you can trust Hailix. She''s actually true to her word." Zilnia reassured with a comforting smile. I held a raised brow still not very convinced. "The worst she''ll do is hug ya!" I heard another girl holler from a fair distance away. "How bloody many are there for us to worry about??" Vlad questioned incredulous. "She''s not wrong, though slightly off." Hailix said with chuckle. "How far is that "slightly" off?" Psycho wondered as he began to concoct situations. "Psycho..." Vlad said in a stern tone knowing full well what Psycho would bring up. "Sorry. " "...You know what? Screw it, why not?" I said which Hailix smiled. "Alright then. We''ll check out the port side first and work our way from there." Hailix said in a cheery tone. She''s a little spritely. I thought as I followed suit a few moments later. "I''ll keep tabs on These two, so they don''t jump you." Zilnia said which managed to reassure me a small degree. Danka. I followed Hailix for a minute or two till she stopped at a door with a holo sign beside the door side "Recreation" She opened the door, to which we proceeded in. "This is the Rec room." Hailix said while holding out her arm gesturing to the room. I then began analyzing the room before me. Spacious. Decent sized bar. Computer area I think? Then lounging area...holo screen for the tv most likely. Wait...are those consoles? Holy shit there gaming consoles. Even a pool table too, sweet. I thought intrigued by the area. "Nice set up of a rec room." I commented while doing a slight nod. "Yeah, it took us a bit to get a few things on here." Hailix admitted. "Plus, I didn''t think to see anything gaming related here to be honest." I said intrigued at the thought of some of them being gamers. "What? Didn''t expect a few space faring pokemon girls not have a liking to playing video games for some entertainment?" She asked playfully with a smile. "Grantedly, I didn''t." I said with a small smirk. "I kind of like her." Psycho said starting to take a liking to the Leavanny. "Of course you do..." Vlad said with a minor sigh. "Just wondering a bit. But how''s your guy''s PC''s here?" I asked suddenly curious. "Compared to what you humans have as your best gaming PC''s?" She then chuckled. "Let''s just say there godly as you would put it. Like having twenty tabs of Crysis one open on max settings." She said with a smirk, slightly bragging. "Oh my sweet christ..." I said stunned with mouth slightly agape and eyes wide at that kind of gaming power. "Holy sweet mother of fuck almighty! ...must...see...godly....graphical....POWWEEEEERRRRR...!" Psycho said with longing. Agreed... "I take it you''re impressed?" Hailix asked with a smirk. "Very..." I admitted. I wonder if they have steam... I wondered looking at the computers. I then looked at the bar, It had two ten foot long shelves of different types of booze. Hm...Whipped vodka...Fireball...Jagermeister...coconut rum...oh some Captain morgan...huh, even some Kinky in there too...holy hell even some Jack daniels..they even have sake, well then. Wonder what the obviously more alien liqueurs are called. Wait, is that Heineken on the bottom shelf? Well then. Hey like some more of the human liqueur too. "I take it some of you like your booze." I commented looking at the shelves of varied alcohols. "Most of the crew does. Though I''m one of the few that don''t drink any of it." Hailix said. She looked at me now with a bit of a questioning expression. "Do you drink at all?" "As much as I''d like too, I can''t because of both sides of my family, That being, one drink and instant addiction..." I explained with a very slight saddened tone as the song Firefly by Breaking Benjamin began it''s round.Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation. "Well that sucks" Hailix remarked to my explanation. "What about you? Relative to what I said or voluntary?" I asked a little curious with a small smile. "Voluntary." She said with a chuckle. "Alight then." Hailix stood there looking at the room for a moment longer before looking at me again. "Okay, to the next area." Hailix announced then began to walk out the door at which I followed. We walked for few minutes till I saw a holo sign picturing a bowl of raman."Sweet! Cafeteria!" Psycho said happily. Awesome, I was starting to get hungry actually. I thought as me and Hailix made it to the door. "And now the canteen." Hailix said then outstretching a hand to the fairly large room in a sense of dramatics. "So shall we get something to eat?" She asked with a rather innocent smile. I looked at back at her with a smile. "Sure. I was actually getting hungry." We then walked in then up to the counter, I noticed the kitchen is kind of set up like a diner''s including a large open window to see the cook work. Then I saw a Froslass with blue slightly spiky hair made of what I guessed as semi fluid ice and an obvious womanly figure, float in then look at me and Hailix with a raised brow then made a thoughtful look for a moment then presenting a small smile. "Hey Callia." Hailix greeted casually with a smile. "Hello Hailix." The Froslass called Callia said then looked at me with a little more cheerful smile. I noticed a small russian like accent from her. "So, this is the human you jarringly picked up?" Callia asked in a humorous tone. I furrowed my brows with a small irritated smirk. "Yeaaaah...was not a fun experience getting lifted into the air from the bus and then being warped into a cargo room." I said a little dryly. "I doubt it was. So, what are you called?" Callia asked vaguely gesturing to me with a large knife from something like a knife block. "William. Call me William, Will, Or Wilhelm if you like." I stated rather casually. "Alright Wilhelm. I suppose you and Hailix are waiting for me to cook something for the both of you while i''m here." Callia said with a friendly smirk. "Yeah actually." Hailix said with a smile. "Ditto." I replied in agreement. Callia looked at Hailix. "The usual I take it?" She asked. Hailix smiled. "Oh you know me so well." She said with a small gleeful note. Callia then looked at me. "And you?" ".......Surprise me?" I said after a few long moments rather uncertain on what to ask for, Callia grinned. "Then I got something in mind just for you." Callia said in a rather sweet tone. She then began to work her magic. And now slightly worried... As she worked, me and Hailix took a seat on the chairs by the counter to wait. "I wonder what that ''something'' is..." Vlad questioned as I looked at the food being made for a moment before looking at Hailix. "You know Will. I want to know you a little better." She said with a curious look in her eye leaning on her elbow on the counter. Oh god... I thought beginning to get dreadful to the way she said it. "What are some things you like to do?" She asked with a small innocent tone to her voice. I looked at her as I made a slightly surprised look in my eyes, then blinked a few times. I mentally sighed in relief. "Gaming, going to the range whenever I can. Mostly gaming though these days. With a bit on collecting weaponry. The odd trip to a friends house and the occasional involuntary outing." I said rather casually. She smiled rather brightly. "Cool, now i''ll have someone to finally co-op with." Hailix said with a note of mirth in her voice. "Huh, didn''t take her as a gamer." Psycho said surprised. Nor did I really. Plus how the hell can she use the controllers and keyboards? I questioned not really seeing how she could use such, maybe the keyboards but that''s it. Then the song Take this by Gemini Syndrome began playing. "Modified or custom controllers possibly?" Seems most plausible. "Do you do any work?" She asked. "No actually. Though there was some careers I was planning to go do...note the emphasis on was..." I explained. "What made you stop pursuing them?" I made a quiet sigh. "The process of getting to them..." "Oh. Where the processes difficult?" "For me? Oh hellacious..." "Ouch." "Yeah, killed my minor confidence on trying on them." "That sucks." "Yeah......So, what do you do on here?" I inquired rather curious. She smiled with a note of pride. "I''m the Navigator of the ship. A specialist at that." I did a light nod with a slight thoughtful look. "Impressive." I commented. "Thank you." She replied with a smile. Just then Callia came up to the counter with our food. "Your Oren berry crepe." She said as she placed the plate in front of Hailix, which she grinned in pure joy. Callia then looked at me flashing a friendly smile while placing my plate in front of me. It looked like sweet and sour chicken, with a small side of egg rolls. "Are...are those?" Psycho questioned, not really believing what he''s seeing. "They sure as hell look like sweet and sour chicken with egg rolls...I did not expect this at all..." Vlad said in just the same amount of disbelief as Psycho. All in saying fuck it and try it? "Aye." Me, Vlad and Psycho said in unison. Alright, unanimous vote. I then picked up the fork that was beside the plate then in a small sum of hesitance, I took a piece that looked like sweet and sour chicken. then took a bite. I went bug eyed at the taste, I then chewed and swallowed. Then I looked at Callia with a wide eyed look. "I would pay you if I could." I honestly complimented. Callia looked at me with a grin. "Thank you." She replied happily. "Looks like you have another person that loves your cooking." Hailix said with a light chuckle. "Callia, you rivel my mother when it comes to cooking. And she''s damn good. Though I think you might be beating her with this dish here." I said smiling and gesturing to the lovely concoction in front of me. I swore I saw her blush. "Thanks." Callia said with sincerity. "I didn''t expect you to be a charmer. Keep that up and i''ll cook up anything you want." Heheh, alrighty then. I chuckled in my mind at the statement. "In that case I might keep doing it every time I come back then." I said in a light joking manner. Stardust by Gemini Syndrome came up next. (I know my timing is horrible when looking through this again) "You know, i''m starting to like having you aboard already." Callia commented with a friendly smile. "I know right?" Hailix added cheerfully then took another bite of her crepe. "A lot nicer than some of the other humans i''ve met." Hailix said in a little more of a calmer demeanor. "So...I''m not the only human that''s been on this ship, huh?" I asked now rather curious. "Your like..the second one ever to set foot on here. So um. Yeah, bit of a rarity here." Hailix explained calmly after taking another bite. "Hm...intriguing." I noted with a somewhat thoughtful look as I ate. Then I bug eyed at the realization. "Wait, there''s more out there?" I asked rather surprised "Yeah, all abductees. We''ve seen them on other vessels, stations and a few colonies." Hailix said listing off some of the areas. I stared at her with surprise and shock. "So, how was your life before we picked you up?" Callia asked rather curious. Ripping me from my shock. Never thought to be asked that question... I thought rather surprised. "Same here..." Vlad said nearly just as surprised as me. It was a few moments before I answered. "Um.....kind of normal. Had to deal with the bullshit of high school. Practically constantly at home screwing about the net. Occasionally hanging out with my few friends. And with a note of boredom a lot of times with the rare depressive moments here and there." I explained rather casually and somewhat monotonous. "Not very exciting." Callia noted. "Yeah...not really much. Said excitement is rare for me. Though, over the years I''ve gotten good at entertaining myself..." I said with a note of somberness to my tone. "Well, Will. I can tell you right now, your life''s going to get interesting from here on!" Hailix said trying to cheer the note of sadness out. I smiled at the comment. Minutes later I finished eating the wonderful concoction Callia made. I looked at Callia with a smile as she did some cleaning of the cookware. "Thank you for this wonderful concoction of yours!" I said happily. She turned her head to me showing a prideful smile. "Same, thanks Callia." Hailix said cheerfully. "You two are very welcome." Hailix then looked at me with a smile. "So, shall we continue on our little tour then?" She asked with a small gleeful note in her voice. She''s really enjoying this, isn''t she? I thought. "Hiho hiho to the next room we go." I replied with a note of cheerfulness Hailix smiled even more. "That''s the spirit!" She then swiveled around and got up from her seat. Oh cool, swivel chairs. I thought then did as she did swiveling around and getting up as the song The Middle by Johnny Eat World played. "What is the next room?" I asked curious. "I think you''ll like this one a lot." She replied at which I raised a questioning brow. Chapter 3 We walked out of the dining hall, then continued left down the hallway, then down a few corridors then we passed by a window. As we passed a along it by about two feet and seeing in my peripheral vision, I halted my step going bug eyed, then snapped my vision to the window jumping slightly from the sight. "Jesus!" I said loudly, startled at the sight before me. "Oh yeah, forgot to say something about that." Hailix said looking out the window then looked at my face which sported a twitching right eye. "The fuck!" I said, pointing both arms at the window showing the expanse of space in all its glory. As well as seeing the Earth. "Yeah, we left the atmosphere a while ago." Hailix informed me, though she was very late on that bit of information. I gave a somewhat baffled stare as I switched my attention on the window and her several times before settling my sight on Hailix again. I continued to hold my arms in an accusing manner at the window, pointing at it again. "Again...the fuck." I said more calmly. Hailix made an apologetic though slightly nervous smile. "Sorry." I sighed letting my arms drop back to my sides, closing my eyes and shaking my head. "That would''ve been lovely to know earlier..." Psycho said. Riiiiigght? I opened my eyes then looked at her. "Alright. Let''s continue then..." We continued to walk for a short time, then when we rounded a corner I saw a room down the hall with a holo pistol above the door, with the text Armory above the pistol as it slowly spined. My eyes widened at the prospect of thinking we''re going to this room next. "And there''s our next destination on our ship tour." She announced confirming my guess. We walked on to the room and went in. I went wide eyed at the beautiful sight of all the weapons they had in this large room, at which I made a quiet shuddering sigh with a dreamy grin. Hailix noticed the sigh then looked at me to see my grin, at which she smiled herself seeing I''m quite pleased at the sight before me. "I take it you''re in a better mood now?" She asked with a good guess of my next answer. "Ooohh hell yes. I''ll be in a even better one if I''m able to try one of these weapons." I stated with a grin. "Well...we do have a firing range." She noted with her cheery demeanor. Just then we began to her faint humming that slowly gotten louder as did the sound of footsteps follow shortly but quietly. "The fuck?" Psycho questioned as we heard the sounds. My thoughts exactly... I turned around and watched the doorway to see moments later that it was Nami that was humming as she walked in. "Hey guys." She said casually with a just as casual wave hello. "Hey Nami." Hailix replied. Nami then looked at me with a smile. "So. How do you like the armory?" She asked with a slightly smug grin as the song Savior by Rise Against began it''s round. "Me''sa likey. Very much." I replied with a small grin. "And I hear you guys have a shooting range on board. Das true?" I asked quite curious. She chuckled with a grin. "Oh yeah, and it''s the best range I''ve used." She stated. I raised a quizzical brow. "And how many have you been through?" I asked suddenly curious to the fact. She gave a thoughtful look for a few moments, then answered. "Abouuut....sixteen or so?" I gave a rather surprised look. "Damn. did yo-" "No, I didn''t destroy...all of them." Nami said showing a little embarrassment in her smile. I narrowed my eyes, Then raising my brows and doing a slight head tilt and nod, to say "alright then". "So um, how the hell did you destroy said ranges?" I asked, mentioned curiousity rising. "Those are stories for another time." She stated. Then gave an expression I''d guess saying she just remembered something. "Speaking of it. Want to help test out some of the weapons? Some of them haven''t been shot in a while, so I want to see if I need to tune them up." She asked. I gave a bug eyed surprised look. Oh sweet mother of christ. "You know-" I began then looked at Hailix for a moment then back at Nami, then continued. "I might help on that." I then looked at Hailix again. "Well, I was going to show that next anyways. We''ll see you there in a few minutes Nami." Hailix said then began walking out. I had an enthused smile plastered on my face at the prospect that I''m going to go shooting, since I haven''t been able to go to the range in months. I do think I''m going to like being here. I thought rather happy at the moment. "And I''m definitely liking some of the crew so far, especially Nami right now!" Psycho said as I imagined a grin on his face. So am I Psycho I agreed. "To the range then." Hailix said, sporting a small grin, then began moving again. "Hiho hiho to the range ve go!" I said a little more enthusiastically with a grin as I happily followed suit. It took a while to get there passing multiple rooms along the way, as well as getting a few looks shot at me from some of the other crew members, though they weren''t bad looks...which I noticed so far just consisted of women. As we walked, I had the feeling that this ship was fairly large as me and Hailix walked on. Then a few minutes later we made it to a large room. It was pretty big, though I saw some shimmers down the range itself, and noticed some of the targets, they seemed to look like regular targets. But I saw a little holographic shimmer. Which I furrowed my brows while going wide eyed. Is this a type of Holographic range? I questioned as the song In the end by Linkin Park played. Hailix outstretched her arm to the range in a sense of dramatics "This William. Is our range, very advanced holo structure technology that''s used in military ranges across the galaxy! They can construct anything you want to shoot at." Hailix said with a proud smile. I blinked at the sight with wide eyes of interest intertwined with pleasant surprise. "At first you had my curiosity, but now you have my full attention." I stated as I stared at this shooting range. Hailix chuckled. "I''m glad. Though something will have even more of your full attention in a minute or so." She said looking behind, she saw Nami carrying several cases while she sported a grin. Hailix looked back at me as I still stared off at the range. "Does it have a battle situation reconstruction matrix?" I asked rather enthused so far. Hailix gave a surprised look of me asking of something like this. "Of sorts." She said simply, though, she didn''t entirely knew what I was talking about. I started grinning darkly. I''m starting to love this place! I thought starting to get gleeful. "Oh indeed." Vlad said agreeing rather greatly. I turn to her with a raised brow. "And what might-" I began then saw some movement to my right then looked at said direction to see Nami with many weapons that are placed on what seems like those flat bed carts you''d see in someplace like Costco, though it hovered along behind her. "Oh my sweet mother of god!" I continued now with widened eyes and surprised expression that a moment later turned into the most gleeful of grins. "Oh yeah, we''re going to have some fun today!" Nami said with a smile as she held a energy rifle of sorts on her shoulder. "You know, this place isn''t going to be so bad...at all." Psycho said. I''m starting to think that too Psycho. I thought in agreement as Nami walked up to us. "Follow me, I know a good spot." She said making a follow motion with her head as she walked on to the left of me and Hailix as the carry platform followed her close behind. "Whelp, time to practice my aim." I said in a rather happy tone as I then followed after a moment, Hailix just decided to follow, then continue the tour after this session of shooting. "Well, he''ll need the practice anyways." Hailix thought as she followed me. Hi ho Hi ho a shooting we will go! I thought pleased about the next happening. It took us a few minutes to get to this spot Nami talked about. "Alright, just up ahead." Nami stated. I looked off ahead and saw something akin to the shooting box (I can''t remember what they''re called.) at the range me, my mom and some other friends would go to. But this looked rather different for obvious reasons including tech wise. "Ohhh this is going to be fun." Nami said a note of excitement in her voice, as she placed some of the cases on the table beside the shooting box and pulled out what I thought to be energy pistols of some sort from the look of there designs. I think we''re going to work with either three different weapons. Plasma, laser or kinetic. I noted trying to figure what all I''m going to be shooting. "So Will, what kind of weapon do you like shooting?" Nami asked rather out of the blue for me. "Umm...shit...wait. All time or in general?" I asked curious of the question. "...In general." Nami said as she continued to unpack the weaponry. "Well, I personally haven''t been really able to shoot much." I said a small note of sadness to the answer. "Well, we''re going to fix that. By the way, what have you shot?" Nami asked curious, as Hailix was on a tablet of sorts sitting near us, chucking on something or talking to someone. "Well, I''ve shot a 22. ruger model pistol, a 9mm, a 45. and a 44 mag. I''ve also shot a 20 gauge remington and a 228 hunting rifle..." I noted checking off what I''ve shot so far. "Alright then. Let''s increase that count shall we?" Nami said then came up to me and gave me a gun, a laser pistol if I''m guessing right. I gave a raised brow of curiousity as I looked over the handgun intrigued by the reinforced look of it''s design, as one of it''s colors being a gunmetal gray with blue lighting. "That is a Phantom LX-4, It''s a plasma based energy pistol. Pretty good stopping power till you''re up against a Strontu. All it does is piss it off." Nami pointed out, which the last part spiked my curiosity.
"Okay one sec. What the fuck is a Strontu?" I asked really wanting to know. "There kind of a four legged reptile that''s......like a-well size wise like the Hunter''s from that Halo game. But it kind of looks like a creature from a fantasy game." Nami said having a bit of trouble explaining it. "It''s kind of wyvern''esk like the ones from Skyrim but about two times uglier." Hailix said pulling up some of her knowledge on the creature off hand and trying to input some gaming knowledge to help explain. By which this caused me to raise my brow while I looked at her. "You played Skyrim? Okay, I know this is going to be random, buuut. How much of a gamer are you Hailix?" I asked suddenly curious. "Weeell...how does twenty different consoles downloaded to the computing matrix of the computer of the rec room with a...let''s just say a very high end computer that can run five different instances of Crysis one at max settings at once, while playing something like fallout 4 at the same time on the holoscreen with max settings. Since we''re currently using a dual screen system setting." Hailix stated almost matter-of-factly as I stared wide eyed. "Holy sweet mary mother of fuck almighty!" I said both impressed and surprised. "How the fuck did you get hardware like that!" I asked incredulously as the song Crash 2.0 from Adventure Club & Dallask Scatter remix began it''s round. "I''d tell you but you wouldn''t really know of anything I''m talking about." Hailix said a little sheepishly at which I did a small sigh. "Hailix, tell him about the library." Nami commented which Hailix made an ''oh, yeah that'' look. "Heheh...yeah we have about...-" Hailix began then did a little mental count. "Sixteen thousand games and counting." She finished with a accomplished smile. At which I bug eyed hearing the number of video games. This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. "Je-sus!" I said my voice raising volume a few notes. "How much storage do you have on that computer!" I asked. "...About...six hundred and seventy nine zetabytes, with two hundred petaflops computation of other systems." She said oh so casually with a smile, which caused me to bugeye and kind of do a cringe of sorts of surprise and shock. "Good-fuck woman! I only heard of a supercomputer on my planet just having about forty petabytes!" I stated pleasantly shocked. Hailix just giggled as she watched my reaction. "From how quick your people develop your tech, you should already have this by now." She said almost matter-of-factly. "Well, blame the outlandish stupidity, wars, major asshated dick monkeys of our varying governmental systems, money whores and the whole lot of other fuckery as well of the major drug based dumbassery. Including the pussy footing twats in congress." I listed with contempt from earth''s current jackassery. Nami and Hailix looked at each other from that comment then they looked at me. "Good point." Nami finally said. Then keyed in for some basic targets in for me and her. "Alright Will, you''ll have the target on the right, and I''ll have the one on the left." She said after picking up another energy pistol of some sort. Ohhhh....so many weapons I want to know of... I thought gleefully as she brought up the pistol to aim, then fired at the target several times a moment later. I saw the tight grouping of if I were to guess, two or three inches in diameter. "Good grouping." I complemented since the shots were from about fourteen or so meters away. She looked at me with a smile. "Thanks. How about you show me yours." She said. Subconsciously I took this as a challenge. "Alrighty then. Just give me a sec." I said as I pulled out my phone quickly skipping to a good song. Sweet dreams by Marilyn Manson...Gooood. I thought darkly with a grin as I put my other other earbud on as I slowly bobbed my head. I brought up the Phantom with a grin in a teacup grip (That''s actually a way to hold it) And steadied my head bobbing and took aim as I began to zone from my music as I closed my eyes. Concentration mode... Was the thought that passed my mind as it sharpened, as my eyes opened and widened as my vision sharpened as well with a demented tinted malice grin. A moment later I fired at the target, shots half a second from each other. The sounds from each shot making my skin prickle with the dark tones of the music. Nine shots later I stopped, forcing the psychotic side of me to dim down with my face going somewhat neutral. I heaved a slow heavy sigh through my nose as I went back to "normal". I pulled my earbud out enough so it hung over my ear and looked at Nami as she held a grin on her face. As she brought my target closer for us to see it better. I had five in the chest, two where each lung would be and one in the heart, then the other four in the head. "Good shots on the vitals." She complemented. "Thanks, I been telling people I shoot better with my music." I said as I looked at the target impressed with my work. Nami grinned. "Seems like it. So what do you think of the Phantom?" Nami asked curious of my impressions on the energy Pistol. "Had a hell of a lot less kick than I expected. Had kind of the kick between a 9mm and a 45." I admitted. "And I like the feel of the grip, quite comfortable to hold and really conforms to the hand. Plus the sound it makes from firing just sends me goosebumps." I explained happily. Then a thought came to mind. "What''s it''s max stopping power?" I suddenly asked, which surprised Nami slightly, then she took a moment to think, trying to remember. "If I remember correctly..." She began as Hailix on the other side of me began to bring up the stats of the Pistol as she waited. "It can bring down something like a Gigalith." She said from off the top of her head. "Huh, interesting, and if I remember correctly, they have a very hard stone hide." I commented. "About two stages down from earth''s diamonds." Hailix said catching my attention. "Really? Interesting." I noted actually intrigued. "Oh, hey Will. Check the side of the Phantom." Nami said, which confused me a little, at which I complied with the added curiousity on my part. Then raised a brow seeing the switch that looks like the one for select fire. And with each select point had an image, about five different images. One with the no sound symbol with the computer volume image with a X on it. Then the four others. Wait...these look familiar...they look like the elemental images on the borderlands weapons- I thought cutting myself off. Oh my mother of god can they actually do that shit! I thought surprised. "Are these settings of what I think they are?" I asked making sure. "Yep, elemental state alternator substrates." Nami answered proudly. "Oh my god this just turned into Borderlands." I said in a note of sadistic glee. "Now that I think about it, that does look like something out of Borderlands." Hailix commented agreeing. "Good I''m not alone on the thought." I added as I looked at my watch seeing it read 4:47 pm. Mom and everybody else is probably going batshit right now from that obduction that happened with me. I thought somewhat dejectedly. "With your mom, it''s most likely a fucking manhunt back down there." Psycho added. Heheh...most likely. I looked back at Nami. "Hey Nami? Can this range make a holo flesh target?" I asked curiously. Which she looked back at me with a questioning look after popping another shot at the target of hers. "Um...like a pseudo living target?" She replied not entirely sure of my question. "With the similarity of the term yes." I replied. "I got this Nami." Hailix said then went to the firing stand I was at and a holographic keyboard and screen sprang up for her as I looked at her work. Then something surprised me and made me fear a little. Her leaf scytheish arms ''split'' for lack of a better term into four thinner versions, moving and bending like fingers. I stared wide eyed with a scrunched brow. "Well holy fuck. I think we found how she''s able to use a keyboard and controller now." Psycho said honestly surprised. Y-Yeah... I thought somewhat unnerved by this. But vaguely interested at the same time. As interesting as that is, that is all sorts of fucking weird. But kind of cool at the same time...but more over on weird... "Pokemon...we will never fully understand the damn things..." Vlad said somewhat bewildered. The song Narcissistic cannibal by Korn came up on my phone. "Alright...let''s bring you up...then grab you from here. Place this to that...then we bring the tangibility up. Then select the skiiiin, aaaand here it is." Hailix said turning her head to the range while her...''hands'' formed back. "Well there you go Will." Hailix said looking at me with a smile. Then it turned to confusion as she saw my look of bewilderment. "What? Is something wrong?" Hailix asked, confused and concerned she did something to wrong me somehow. "No...not really. Besides the fact that I didn''t know that Leavannys could, do what the hell you just did." I stated rather bluntish. She cocked her head slightly more confused then did a ''oh wait a second'' expression. Then looked at the keyboard then looked at her scythe arm doing what she did moments before making her blade arm into sort of like fingers. Then realized "Oh! You mean making my arm able to split into bendable duplicates?" She asked with a raised brow of sorts switching the morphing of her blade arm to the duplicates several times for emphasis. "Uhhhmm...yeah...?" I said my voice raising pitch a tad. "Oh, that then. As far as I know I''m either the only one that can do this or just some lucky few...or unlucky whichever way you want to look at it." She stated. Then she looked at me. "What do you make of it. I won''t get offended if you say it''s weird or something." Hailix said with a small smile. I looked at her scythe arm/''hand'' and looked at her in her eyes. "In brutal honesty-" I began as she tensed up, trying not to let it be visible of her tense up. "In some aspects it''s unnerving. But, it''s rather intriguing as well. In the most part of the fact." I continued with a small smile. This took Hailix by surprise it seemed to me. "So, it''s not that weird for you?" She asked curious. "Well not entirely. But mostly, it''s interesting in brutal honesty." I added. "Good choice of words." Vlad complimented me. Thanks...Oohh...this is going to be a very interesting turn in my life... I thought, in dread and a little excitement. "Fuck yeah it is!" Psycho added with a chuckle. "You know, that''s actually been the nicest comment I''ve had about this." Hailix said being honest." Surprise also showed on Nami as well. "You''re just getting on everyone''s good side today aren''t you?" Nami said with a sly smile. "Best thing to do when you''re with people that could be considered alien by a good chunk of the population, you just met and know little of." I said in slight automation as I realized in mid sentence. "Hm, fair point." Hailix commented with a nod. Then I noticed a target in the corner of my vision, I turned to look at it. To see a man I have resisted to throat punch and resisted to grind his balls into the concrete. "Oh hey! It''s twatwaffle!" Psycho said happily already seeing where this is going to go. "How the hell did they know of this bastardized bag of useless dick tips...?" Vlad said somewhat suspicious and confused as the song Flavour by Itro came up. I looked at the holo target furrowing my brows in over boiled irritation for the target skin Hailix put up. Hailix began to give a concerned look seeing my obvious irritation at the target. Though, with my look of irritation. A demon''s grin began to form on my lips. Nami saw the grin and rose a confused and worried eyebrow, Then she looked at Hailix who exchanged a glance with her then both looked back at me. "Hey Nami? Is something wrong with Will? I''m sensing a large burst of malicious energy in your area." Zilnia asked Nami through a telepathic link. "I don''t know, Hailix brought up a target for him and put a skin on it. At first he looked pretty irritated at it, then he began to do this unnerving grin. Kind of getting creeped out by it honestly." Nami explained. "That doesn''t sound good." Zilnia said getting concerned. "Oh. Wait, he''s doing something." Nami said. Looks like I get to kill Roy...well not actually. Oh well. I thought darkly as I felt the mental grin of malice from my voice of Psychosis. I raised the Phantom lx-4 at the Roy skinned target. But before I shot at the target I quickly brought out my phone, quickly skipping a few songs before Finger eleven''s Drag you down began to play, as my grin grew with more of a psychotic note. I began shooting with the guitar riffs as I began doing my demented giggle, as I fired at the holo target of Roy. A piece of shit over the top tool of a man that''s been at my house for too god damn long. Everyone fucking hates him. I was shooting all over the body, from the feet up. From the shoulders down. As well as shots to the face. Not even his daddy bags got out of my wrath. "Hehehehehehe! Die, you son of a fuckwad. Die you son of a motherfucking ballbusting cockblasting shit weisel!" I said with clenched teeth as I continued to shoot with a malice dripping demonic grin. "Die-die-die-die-die-die-die-die-die-dieee!" I said with each gleeful shot. This side of me surprised both Nami and Hailix. And myself a little. "I think he lost his shit a little bit." Nami said to Zilnia causing her to be confused. "Um...how so?" She questioned. "Well, he''s gotten colorful with his language. And he''s going ''die-die-die'' over and over as he''s shooting at this target." Nami explained as she watched me continue to shred the target, with deadly accuracy. "Could it be that the skin on the target is someone he knows?" Zilnia prodded trying to understand what''s going on with me as I continued with my demented giggling. "With the way he''s insulting the target I think so. And someone he really hates." Nami replied. "As in how hated?" "Um...well for starters, he''s destroying the target rather thoroughly two, the colorful language from earlier, and three, the loss of where the targets balls would be." Nami said with a slight grimace from the last part. "...ouch..." "Yeah......wait, I think he''s almost done." Nami said as my fire rate was slowing down. I slowly stopped after five more shots. I let my arms fall to my sides. Then heaved a heavy drawn out rasping sigh. "God damn I''ve been wanting to do that." I said a low growl to my voice as I eyed the target, admiring the damage I''ve done. I then popped my neck getting a small kink out of it. I felt a lot of pent up rage release through that unload of gun fire. Nami then caught my attention. "Hey Will, you alright?" She asked sounding somewhat concerned after my little psychotic release. I looked at her with a bright grin with my voice returning to normal. "I feel fucking fantastic." I said happily with a laugh that still had an underlying layer of demented enjoyment of the experience. "I thank you greatly for having me out here. You have no idea how much good that''s done me just now." I added. "I think I can tell." Nami replied with a smile. "Oh good mother of god I needed that." I added looking back at the target with a grin. "I think we both can see that. Since you minced the target." Hailix added. "Well he''s fine now." Nami relayed to Zilnia. "...I''ll have to take a deep look later... Just to see how bad his mental state is." Zilnia said dreading the encounter to go deeper into my horrid mind. "I can tell you right now that, that is not going to be a good idea for you." Nami said with a small chuckle. "Ugh...don''t remind me." Zilnia said, not looking forward to the experience at all while Nami chuckled. "Alrighty then, ready for the next spot of the tour." I said in a note of cheeriness to Hailix as she smiled. I then looked at Nami. "Thanks for inviting me for the stress relief." I said as Nami showed a knowing smile. "No problem, I like having someone to shoot with." Nami said cheerfully. "Hell, in that case hit me up on the next time that you want to come back to shoot together. I''m game for it, since I never got to shoot often." I said with a note of cheer to my tone as I smiled. "Well that''s going to change." Nami said with a chuckle. "I look forward to it." I said happily. "Alright, Infirmary is up next on our list." Hailix said as she began walking to the corridor that led to this shooting chamber. I looked at here with an odd look as I trailed behind her a few steps behind. Sudden dread to the next destination. Then a question began to boil in my mind that quickly became about impossible to hold. Then the song Take this by Gemini Syndrome began its turn. "Please tell me I''m not getting some sort of examination." I asked suddenly concerned for my well being. Hailix looked over to me with a disarming smile. "Well if anything our doctor Aiz will try to take a blood sample. Other then that she isn''t going to give you a battery of tests if that''s what is worrying you." She explained calmly then looked back forwards leading the way. Lovely...I''m at least glad I won''t have to do any awkward as hell tests at least... I thought relieved a small margin. Though by all means not up for the blood draw. As we walked we neared another view port to the spatial region. It still baffled me that I''m actually in space. I stood there, looking into the voided depths the stars called home. Then I saw earth. It''s like they say...you really can''t beat the view. I...am the youngest human to enter space...it''s amazing to think...but...fuuuck man. It''s just...ugh...I can''t really describe it. Odd I want to call it? I thought, somewhat contemplating my position of all this sudden crap. "Fuckery is very nigh in this journey." Psycho said as I continued to look off to the planet I call home, then looking off to the reaches that is the rest of the universe. "Already feeling homesick?" Hailix said as she came back over to me. "Not really...just...adjusting. Never have I thought in my life that I''d be able to actually be in space. Never really wanted to in that matter." I replied honestly not looking away from the view. I never did wanted to go into space, I was happy just being on the ground. Mainly because my anxiety and my paranoia are obsessed with tormenting me on the dangers of such environments like space. "Really?" Hailix asked a little curious. "Anxiety and paranoia. I swear they have a fetish with tormenting me with the dangers I know in environments like space." I explained to her looking down a degree from the window, my face taking a more somber tone to it. "Makes it impossible for me to actually enjoy going about with the thought of traveling in that kind of area, same with flying. It''s a fucking miracle I haven''t had a fucking mental breakdown from this from the two." I continued, my internal shaking beginning to vibrate me as I looked on. It was a few moments before Hailix spoke again. "Are you still okay?" She asked almost timidly, her cheery tone and smile now showing concern. I looked up at the viewport again. "I don''t bloody know..." I said going into my scottish accent at that moment. Chapter 4 (starting song) My eyes were wide looking on, becoming unable to actually look away from the sight. My anxiety and paranoia actually taking full effect as I began to actually feel fearful. My breathing actually quickening a bit. Scenarios of my death unfolding in my mind, unable to stop the flow of the thoughts of my life ending in the unyielding cold of that void. Something failing in the ship, the viewport I''m in front of breaking open. Some sort of piping bursting open and busting my head open with my brains splattering on the walls. That or the pipe breaking the window and having me sucked through...choking to death while freezing. One of the crew or multiple trying to kill me, stabbing, crushing, poisoning, ripping...tossing me through the airlock to die in the airless cold. Tears actually began to well up and slowly spill onto my cheeks. So many things that could case my end running through my mind. One after the other with no end. I couldn''t stop them like I was usually able to. The fear now showing on my face. I then felt arms come over my shoulders gently, I flinched with a small gasp of terror. "Shhh-shh-sh. It''s okay...it''s okay." Hailix said in a soothing voice. Trying to shift my terror. "Ohgodohgodohgod...I''mgoingtodie...I''m going to die on here!" I whispered rapidly fear for the first time taking a major hold of me. "It''s okay Will." Hailix continued trying to sooth, though seeing that it''s not having much effect, then had a little idea. Without You by Ashes Remains began to play a sad and somewhat ironic note to the situation. To my mind, no one was here to help me, no one was going to stand having me aboard. None of them were going to have my existance continue. For them it was going to be something of ''to hell with his life!'' My pitiful...short...and sad uninteresting life. Child''s play to snuff out... She actually moved me away from the viewport and continued to try to quell my comboed terror. She moved us farther down the corridor and having us sit down continuing to try to calm me. She was embracing me from behind as we sat there. The embrace, helping. I sat there eyes watery and wide open, my breathing shaky as I pretty much vibrated. Death plagued my mind as I sat there, endless contemplation of my end as I was withheld in this time bomb of death. I could die here and now. Ending my short and shitty life. I thought darkly with sorrow and fear. At this time, as Zilnia was walking down a corridor she began to hear Hailix. "It''s alright...you won''t die. I can assure that." She heard as Hailix spoke in a calming voice. "Wait what?" She thought and then went over to the sound. She rounded the next T section hallway and turned left and going down to look at a viewport, she heard quickened breathing to her left and saw Hailix trying to calm me. She was immediately concerned as to why I was like this. She hurried over and knelt down next to Hailix. "What happened?" Zilnia asked worriedly looking at me. "I don''t know, he began breaking down as we looked out the viewport. Saying he was going to die." Hailix explained concern written on her face as I continued to violently shake looking at the floor in front of me with fearful glazed eyes. "How long ago did this start?" Zilnia asked. "Just a minute ago. This is really worrying me Zilnia." Hailix replied with evident concern. "Okay, I''m going to try something to see why he''s breaking down like this." Zilnia said as she slowly reached a hand to my head, gently placing it near my temple. Then she closed her eyes, and concentrated upon reaching the domain of my mind. "Hey fuck off!-oh it''s you." Psycho began before realizing it was just the Gardevoir. "Hey!-" Zilnia began to protest but was cut off by Vlad. "You actually came at a decent time. He''s lost it." Vlad noted as he watched the chaos. "Okay one of you tell me what happened!" Zilnia asked getting to the point. "How about we show you?" Psycho said slyly as he opened my mind to her. Zilnia stared in horror at the amount of that involved me with the people and parts of the ship killing me in some fashion. "Oh my god." She thought as she watched the tragedy that is my mind currently. Then she heard a soothing deep voice from beside her. "Try stopping one of the imaginings of his demise. He might focus on that seeing it as a kindness, hopefully it''ll stop the train of himself being murdered." Said the rather familiar voice, Zilnia turned to the voice and saw a man around his mid twenties a head taller than her, dark longish hair with a chinstrap beard. Clothed in a gunmetal gray hooded long coat, an unfamiliar skull emblem was emblazoned on a navy blue shirt. As well he wore black combat like pants with similar style boots, finally matched with a striking pair of the deepest blue eyes she has ever come across, In a different circumstance she''d say he was handsome. "Who are you?" She asked the man standing next to her. He looked at her with a somewhat small smirk. "I am Vlad." He said with a calm yet formal sounding tone. "the voice of reason, common sense and general logic of this domain I call home." Vlad continued explaining upon who he was. "It''s my pleasure to finally meet you in person Zilnia." He ended with a smile and a nod. "Well it''s good to finally put a body to the voice, I guess. I''d love to talk more but we need to fix...this." Zilnia remarked gesturing to the continued thoughts of my demise. "As I suggested before, find one that''s about to happen and stop it. There''s a good chance it would stop the chain." Vlad reminded as he walked up to a portal like opening to a scenario starting up. "This one should be doable, hurry and jump in. It won''t last long you know." "Great..." Zilnia sighed, as she neared the entrance for the next happening of death. "Well, good luck to you." Vlad said as he placed his hand on the Gardevoir''s back as she looked up to him about to say something most likely to protest. But pushed her in before Zilnia''s thought about this could be uttered. "Whoa!" Zilnia said loudly as she regained her balance. She looked behind herself with an irritated look to see the portal gone. "Asshole..." She muttered then looked around getting back to what she was to do. "FUUUCK!!!" She heard me scream, Zilnia began to run to the sound. She ran down about four corridors before she saw me limp running away. "GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE SHIT!" Zilnia heard a woman say then saw a Lucario fast walking with an air of anger to me. "Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuuuuaaaack..." I blurted out with a voice filled with terror as I tried getting away from my soon to be murderer. "Damn...how did you end up with such a messed up mind?" Zilnia thought as she began running up to me. She then saw me end up to a dead end. She saw me turn around to face the Lucario with a face of fear and anguish. "What the fuck did I do!? Fucking seriously now!" I yelled wanting to know as I slid down the wall to the floor. The Lucario didn''t answer but looked angrier from my question, I heard it growl as the Lucario held up a paw and formed an aura sphere then pointed it at me with the intent of killing. Zilnia looked on with surprise then narrowed her eyes. "Alright enough of this." She thought as the Lucario launched the ball of aura. It was about fifteen feet away from me that I began unleashing a blood curdling scream of horror of my impending death as I closed my eyes and curling up waiting for the strike to hit. Zilnia grabbed the ball with her psychic energy and flung it back at the Lucario. "Not today bitch." She taunted almost casually as the ball hit the Lucario, with said Lucario dissipating from existence in a form of a smoke outline disbursing. Zilnia looked at my pitiful form curled up into a fetal ball against the wall. Shaking violently. Her face showed concern and sympathy. She came up to me, and kneeling next to my shaking and frightened form. She reached out to me and touched my shoulder, I flinched from the touch expecting to be hit by the Lucario. "Will. Hey, it''s okay. She''s gone." Zilnia said in the best calming voice she can muster. It was several long moments before I finally looked at who had a hand on my shoulder and trying to talk to me. I looked up with tears cascading down my face from my pure fear. I looked at the Gardevoir in front of me smiling comfortingly at me. She looked familiar. I stared at her shaking. She could feel the fear emanating from me. "It''s okay, no one''s going to hurt you." She said comfortingly and softly. "H-...how do I know...you won''t just, kill my mind...?" I said shakily, skeptical and untrusting from the cumulative fear and actions of the others. Zilnia''s expression softened. "Only a short time and he''s already been through alot in his mind...I can''t say I blame him for not being trustful of others at the moment." Zilnia thought. "Well, I came to get you out of this. How does that sound?" She said holding out her other hand for me to take hold. I flinched a little from the action. I looked at her a moment later, then to her outstretched hand. Can I trust her? Yes, No. No. Yes, yes! no..... The thought of trust battled in my mind for several long moments as I looked at her hand. Then a small voice rang in my mind. YES! The voice echoed in my mind with that one word. I slowly reached my hand out to the Gardevoir''s, apprehensiveness showing in the movement. Zilnia then had an idea, she could try using her calm mind move to help calm me. But as she tried using that power, she noticed something disturbing. The calming effect was doing nothing as I gently clasped her hand. "How is he not being affected?" She questioned as she continued to hold her calming smile. Though an odd thing happened next. The corridor melted away in wispy smoke. I began to hear the song Dancing With The Devil song by Breaking Benjamin as I got whiplashed back into reality with a startling jump. "JESUSFUCK!" I yelled as Zilnia retracted her hand as I thrashed for a moment as Hailix struggled to keep a hold. I looked around bug eyed breathing as if I got done running from something. As I looked around my immediate surroundings catching my breath, I saw I was on the floor with a pair of insect like legs either side of mine, and felt and saw two large and long leafs crisscrossing over my chest. I then tilted my head back to look at who or what had a hold of me. I saw a Leavanny''s concerned look turning to a note of relief, I then remembered a split second after. "Hailix. What the hell happened to me?" I questioned, unsure as to what happened to me. She looked at me confused, and began to ask something before a gentle voice on my left piped up. "You don''t remember?" I righted my head with wide eyes and a furrowed brow with a somewhat neutral look, blinking several times. I looked to my left to the origin of the voice to see Zilnia crouched next to me with her look of concern, showing a note of relief. "No. All I remember here is looking out the window for a minute, with my anxiety and paranoia going on steroids. Then blacking out then getting the metric fuck scared out of me for what seemed like fucking hours!" I explained, shuddering a moment after thinking back for a split moment, then bashing the thought away. "Though, thank you..." I began, then looked at the floor in front of me with a somber look. "-from getting me out of that hell. That''s the first time I''ve ever had anything like that happen....Bloody hell..." I said, unbelieving that this actually happened... My shoulders slumped as my minor depression began to kick in now as I just leaned back, now with a melancholy look. I gently shook my head side to side to the fact of this happening. "God damn it..." I said in an audible whisper. I could feel Hailix gently tighten her hold on me. Not to restrain me, but to comfort if I were to guess. It helped a small margin. Both Hailix and Zilnia looked at me concerned again. Then to each other, having a telepathic conversation. "Poor guy seems so messed up...I think us picking him up like we did jared him more than we thought." Hailix said, feeling bad. "Maybe...his mind was a mess...a self carnage filled mess, but something weird happened. My calm mind ability didn''t affect him." Zilnia said disturbed by that fact. "...That''s, unsettling." Hailix replied, disquieted by this knowledge. "...I have dreaded of something like this to happen...saddening that it finally has...my fears of irrationality to finally spill forth. Yet again that I damn my god forsaken anxiety and paranoia...why must they be so pervasive upon my mind to break me ever so?" I said, sadness present in my voice, my depressive look darkening by a small margin as I went into my somewhat poetic ramblings. "To make things worse upon the moment, it happens with beings I hardly know...saddening to be." Zilnia could feel the waves of depression that weigh my mind as she showed a sympathetic look, then placed a hand on my shoulder. Then a small but few thoughts of suicide slipped into my mind. Oh, fuck off with you... I thought to the thoughts and imaginings, they quickly dissipated from that comment as I continued to stew in my moment of sorrow. At this point, I finally registered the Gardevoir''s hand upon my shoulder, I looked at her in my peripheral, with a small rueful small. "Tis pitiful to see a being like myself act like this with a space faring species like you two on this ship, Is it not?" I asked as I looked back at the floor in front of me. Zilnia''s hand tightened somewhat. "No." She said. I looked at her in my peripheral again while slightly turning my head to her. "To see someone go through something like you just did isn''t pitiful, but it is saddening to see it happen to anyone none the less." Zilnia said. "Even more so with people that already struggle with life." She added, this only helped me become more depressed about the fact of my predicament... I did a near silent rueful chuckle."I''m still wondering why any of you are helping me... and why I''m being brought upon this...bullshit of whatever the hell this is supposed to be." I said with depression soaked words with a momentary rueful smile. Zilnia looked at me with a pitying expression. It was nearly fifteen minutes later I got into a rather neutral kind of mood with a somewhat tired looking expressionless face. I sighed quietly with the song Absolute by Thousand foot krutch playing. "Well. Might as well finish the little tour for today then." I said as Hailix finally let go with Zilnia offering a helping hand, I grasped her hand which she helped me stand up, which out of courtesy I did such with Hailix being fairly careful of the bladed part of her "hand" "Thank you." She said with a smile. "Mm-hm." I hummed with dulled emotion. "Well Will, the next place we''re going is just down this corridor." Zilnia decided to tag along on the little tour which I didn''t mind much, nor really cared at the moment. When we went down a ways the said corridor, I decided to look in front of me after not looking straight on. I saw to my surprise the universal red plus for hospitals and other healing stations and medics on my world. Actually didn''t expect that. I thought as I continued walking along. I then followed Hailix into the medical room to meet the doctor of the ship I supposed. What I saw was pure irony. I looked with an unbelieving serious expression blinking a few times as if to make sure, what I''m looking at was true. I looked at the pokemon that was supposed to be a doctor. "Hello Aiz" Hailix greeted with a smile. What I saw actually amazed me more then the medi sign. It was a rather prominently female Lucario with a doctors lab coat with a pair of reading glasses having the screen in front of her reflect of said glasses. I''m sorry, what? I mentally sardonically chuckled. A Lucario as a doctor, with reading glasses and a lab coat no less. Really now? I questioned looking at said Lucario who sat in front a holo monitor tapping away. Who knew pokemon could be so technologically inclined I thought, though thinking for a moment sounding stupid with the sight before me. Dr. Aiz stopped typing to look at us from her left. "Hello Haili-Is zat vhat I think it is?" I heard the doctor say with an obvious interest to me and an interesting prospect, a german accent. Oh fuck me...I''ve seen enough movies and tv shows that had this kind of shit in it. I thought not all too thrilled what will happen next. The doctor got up from her seat and quickly came up to us...well more up to me I supposed. "Oh you''re an intriguing one." Dr. Aiz said as she came up to me and looked me up and down taking note of the weapons I had on me, noting things I wouldn''t know. She then held her hand near my chest, a small aura sphere forming, she closed her eyes to concentrate. This is going to be interesting. I thought as the Lucario went about looking at my aura. "This is going to be interesting..." Vlad commented with a note of curiosity. Not much of what I was expecting. This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. She furrowed her brow for a few moments and then raised a brow in question. "Vell zis is odd..." At this point I raised my own eyebrow of question. "Blue, dark blue, purple and a small portion of red and black...how can zis be?" Dr.Aiz thought in question, then focused on the red. I looked at Hailix with a quizzical brow. She simply smiled a reassuring smile. With that I looked back at the Lucario before me to see her with a surprised expression. This raised my confusion even more. As Dr. Aiz looked, she was shocked to see what was in the red portion of the aura. Bloodlust. Suppressed bloodlust of incredible psychotic proportions. "...Zat''s vorrying..." She thought, disturbed by the level of latent carnage inducing intent then looked at the black portion. It was smaller than the red portion but held an almost disturbing sadness to it. "Zis is even more concerning." She then took a look at the blue aura, noting a kind of depressed tinge to it, with some confusion, she didn''t find it all that appealing and switched to the dark blue, but when she tried to get a read on it. It became guarded and inaccessible like it had a mind of it''s own. This intrigued Dr. Aiz as she tried to look harder. But, to her surprise, she still couldn''t get anything from it. That''s when she heard a deep soothing kind of voice, but it had irritation in it from the prying. "Bugger off, if I wanted to tell you something I would. So stop trying to pry in my domain, Aiz. This is the only warning I will give you." The voice said to her, which surprised her greatly. "Now zat is interesting." Dr. Aiz said vocally. Which made me wonder. "Damn woman is trying to get a read on us. I don''t know what, but I don''t much care." Vlad warned. Lovely...well, she''s going to love Psycho. Oh may her gods have mercy on her mind. I thought soon to enjoy the reaction. Dr. Aiz then moved on to the purple portion of the aura. "Is this aura shared by others somehow?" She questioned then tried peering into the purple aura, she had no hope of knowing what was in there. "Oh hello! Welcome to my house!" Said an odd voice with excitement, it was somewhat high pitched. A large contrast from the other voice. "Zis is getting more interesting by ze second." Dr. Aiz thought. "Do make yourself at home, I do love having company! I love showing people the things I know!" Psycho said to the unsuspecting Lucario, soon to have his fun scaring her mind. "Oh do tell." She thought absolutely fascinated. Psycho gave the most psychotic grin he could muster, sadly Dr. Aiz couldn''t see it. He began to do a demented giggle as he let forth all sorts of graphic images of the sultry type and the goretastic kind, letting it all just spill on the poor girl''s mind while he cackled maniacally at sight. "AAHHH!" Dr. Aiz yipped as she jumped back. I couldn''t help grinning and nigh evilly giggling at the spectacle. Both Zilnia and Hailix stared with wide eyes at what just happened. They never seen Dr. Aiz jump like that with that kind of reaction. "Heheheh...yeah, should of told you it was going to be a bad idea to check my aura." I noted with an enthused smile. "But, knowing doctors no matter the species. You would of looked anyway even being warned against such." I said with a little sardonics seeping into my words. "You....vha...vhat is...vh-vhat is wrong vith you...?" Dr. Aiz stammered as she questioned as she tried to regain her composure. Hailix and Zilnia both looked at me. "Did she see what I saw?" Zilnia thought in question. "What? Did you try looking at one of my voices?" I questioned this being rather humours for me. "Voices?" The jackal doctor asked. Hailix looked at me with new curiosity. "Heheheh, I''ll take that as a yes then. You must of met Psycho the cheery one that might of welcomed you in." After finally regaining what composure she could Dr. Aiz looked back at me with curiosity. "Is zat vhat the voice is named?" Dr. Aiz noted. "Yep, Psycho and Vlad. Psycho being the embodiment of my psychosis, bloodlust and perversion. And Vlad being the embodiment of logic, composure among other things. He can be just as perverted, but he''s more reserved." I explained with a just about psychotic smile with a certain kind of crazy kind of happy tone. "You child... Are something else..." Dr. Aiz said uncertainty in her voice. "So! Anything else you want to try looking at?" I asked rather entertained right now, my mood being uplifted quite a bit. "As a matter of fact, yes. If you could follow me-" She began but, having a feeling she''s a doctor of many fields, well having to be if you''re going to be a doctor on a ship. "Hypoglycemia, growth separations of both knees medium to severe, rather normal blood pressure, adhd, mild autism with high functionality, and some tooth decay with a small note of rather manageable depression, with dry eye syndrome and photosensitivity. Oh, and sensitive lungs." I listed off casually, catching Dr. Aiz off guard as she looked at me surprised. Surprising Hailix and Zilnia with most of my problems. And with how many. "Vell you just eliminated most of vhat I needed to check..." "Not my first doctor visit, and figured save the trouble and time since I''m going to be on here. For however bloody long I''m going to be on here." I offhandedly commented. "Das ist good point." Dr. Aiz agreed with a small smile. "You seem smarter zen some of the crew I have to vork vith. And to note, I vould of never known of the part vith you having that mental abnormality." "Really now?" I said with a german accent sneaking into my voice as I took the complement. Zilnia and Hailix shared the same thought of not noticing the mild autism. "Ja, quite interesting. Did you go through any counseling?" "None." I said simply. "Though, I''m kind of surprised, though it may sound stupid to hear me say, that I didn''t think you would know of autism." "Eh, minor misconceptions here and zere. Not much of a problem really, and in part of considering." Dr. Aiz added. "Oh entirely upon the fact. Since with most humans would automatically say all of you are aliens largely among other things." I said knowing all too well. "From vhat I''ve heard, I vouldn''t put it past them." The Jackal doctor noted with a curt nod. "I wouldn''t put it past them either. Since sadly...stupidity has ran ever so rampant, that it''s affected our legal systems and governmental systems that they''d go batshit from the smallest misconceptions." I added, which by the look of the german lucario doctor, she seemed to understand. "Vell. Zat''s depressing." "Oh greatly..." I said with a sigh of minor irritation thinking about the fuckery of my world as the song Lights in the water by Liquid cinema played. "Well...he''s going to be fun on board." Hailix thought a little dryly. "You too?" Zilnia said to Hailix through telepathy, having rather the same thought as the motherly weaver pokemon. "Oh! I''m not alone thinking that." "Nope. Though I think things are going to get a little more interesting here." Zilnia said to Hailix. "What makes you think that?" "Just a feeling I guess." "Ya, a lot of our media vas mostly of your german language. So, in part of it. Most of my colony learned to speak fluent german. Und it stuck, so to speak." Dr. Aiz explained after my curiosity of how she learned german. I gave a intrigued and surprised look. "Now zat is interesting." I said in my near perfect german accent that managed to slip. ...Scheisse... Dr. Aiz looked at me with a questioning look. "Did you just?" She asked curiously. "Vhat? I likes doing different accents und voices." I said being honest. She looked at me with a raised brow as did the other two pokemon looked at me curiously. "Can you do any ozers?" Dr. Aiz asked interested curiosity showing in the Jackal''s tone. "Aye, that I can." I said in my natural sounding scottish accent. "I can do a wee bit of irish, a bit of scottish. A bit of german, some russian and australian accents." I said doing the accents for each name respectively and fluidly changing my voice to match each ones tones, pitches and drawls. "You''re good." Aiz praised with a smile and a nod. "Donka." I said with a nod and a small smile. "Oh, so you know german as vell?" "A few vords, ya. Though, I vould know more in some other languages. Buuuut, mein memory doesn''t allow it. For some fucked up reazon or anozer." I said. "Vhy might that be?" Dr. Aiz asked, somewhat surprised of having a rather nonchalant conversation with a human teen, that was picked up not after a few hours ago. "Well, This is how I describe my memory. It''s random, self-manipulative and contridictive. Seriously, thirty different things are going through at any given moment. With random song lyrics coming in for no reason that I can only remember a part of." I explained. And with a speak of the devil moment with the starting portion of all the single ladies... At that moment I could hear Psycho casually singing to it. Psycho god damn it! I''ve fucking told you about this shit! I thought irritatedly. Then there was a resounding smack a few moments later. "Oow, you cheeky dick!" Psycho protested. Thank you Vlad. "Well that sounds certainly annoying." Zilnia said trying to think how bad it''d be. "Oh, you have no idea. Though Psycho causes the random lyrics most of the time, with Vlad giving him a smack if he doesn''t stop." At that moment I decided to unclip and look at my LG phoenix 2 since my digital watched is so unreliable. Hm...7:49 pm. Been on here for a little more than five hours. Lovely, now the question begs itself. Where the utter fuck am I going to sleep? I thought unsure. I then noticed the odd looks from my peripheral vision and looked up at them. "What?" "What device is that?" Zilnia asked curiously. "My phone." I said like it was normal. "It looks so...archaic." Zilnia said with a kind of confused look. "Well, our tech is on a different time frame to yours. On earth we''re in the year twenty sixteen. This is one of the more advanced consumer phones." I explained, as I then unlocked it to do a quick check of my messages. Nothing...as to be expected considering I''m out of range at this point. I thought with a note of dejection. "I wonder if I can get any information out of it...?" Zilnia thought thinking she could hack into the "old" piece of tech. Well old compared with the tech she uses in day to day life on the ship. After our visit with Dr. Aiz and with a return notice by her on tomorrow we made our way to the cafeteria, when we entered I was able to get a scope of how many we''re on this ship. Which I quickly counted. ...Good fuck all mighty! Forty five!! I expected something like twenty something! But, Good fucking hell! I thought incredulously with an uncertain stare. Hailix looked at me, seeing the look on my face. "You okay?" It took me a second to respond as my head twitched slightly getting out of a split second zoning. "Just...surprised." I replied finding it kind of difficult to find the right words. "More than you thought?" Zilnia asked glancing at me. "Yeeeaaahh...." I said, being pretty much my best answer. "Well, let''s go get something to eat." Hailix said as she started to walk ahead with me and Zilnia in tow. I rather deftly maneuvered around the other pokemon and other huminoids as I followed Hailix to the serving area to Callia''s kitchen. She was stirring something I had no hope of knowing, she looked over and smiled at us as we arrived. "Ah, hello again! What might you three want?" Callia asked cheerfully as she floated up to the counter. "I''ll take the Rivanon platter." Hailix asked with a cheerful smile. The song Hold Me Down by TACACHO began playing. "I''ll have...that one sandwich you made me last time." Zilnia said. I gave Callia a friendly smirk. "I''ll have that badass dish you had me try earlier. Love to try it again." I said since I didn''t know what she had for a list of meals, and it tasted pretty damn good. I then realized I needed something to drink. "Quick question. Do you have any drinks I might have?" I asked curious and hopeful. "Yes. You''re in luck, we just got a shipment of those human soft drinks as well." Callia noted. "Sweet. If there is one I''ll take a Mountain Dew or a Voltage." I asked politely. A few moments later I heard someone from further in the kitchen holler a warning. "Heads up!" Then a can of Mtn dew flew towards me. I had a surprised look before quickly reacting and catching it mid air. "Nice catch." Callia complemented. "Thanks." I replied with a smile of lingering surprise. "So, you''re food will be out in about twenty minutes." Callia notified then turned back to the pot of food she was occupying herself with. "While Callia''s doing that, let''s go find somewhere to sit." Hailix said then began walking, Me and Zilnia following. As we were looking a voice called, I thought it was to us, I turned to the sound and saw Nami waving us down. Zilnia saw too, and she got Hailix''s attention. We made our way over to the Serperior morph. "Hey guys!" Nami said in a friendly tone. I''m surprised that no one has really if at all made any response to any of my blades. I thought randomly, chocking it up to them either not caring, not paying attention or being normal to a degree "Hi!" "Hey." "Yo." I said being the last to greet sitting down last as well. "So, how''d meeting Doctor Aiz go?" Nami inquired with a smile. Zilnia and Hailix looked at eachother then at Nami about to give their answer. "Interesting." I said getting out my phone to check on the progress of an idle game. "Really?" Nami said, then looked at Zilnia with a almost knowing smile, just asking for what actually happened. "Well, he''s not lying about it being interesting..." Zilnia said as I had an enthused smirk as I collect virtual wealth with a mental giggle from me and Psycho. "Do tell." Nami said while putting her elbows on the table and her head in her hands, attentive to what is to be said. "Well, he scared Dr. Aiz with his aura when she took a look." Zilnia began, Nami glanced at me with a raised brow and looked back at the Gardevoir. "That''s a first." Nami said with a surprised smile and a chuckle. "A part of me wanted to warn her, but it wasn''t enough to actually do so. Vhich ve got to...meet one of my voices." I said with a cheeky smile as I merged gun towers into upgraded forms. "God damn that was funny!" Psycho laughed, I saw Nami look at me from my peripheral vision, I looked at her keeping up the smile now with a raised brow. "Voices?" Nami asked. "Zilnia got to meet them earlier today." I said as I silently chuckled with a little grin. Nami looked at the poor Gardevoir covering her face remembering the encounter. "Soooo...Who wants to explain?" Nami asked looking at me and Zilnia. "Don''t make me talk about it...Don''t make me talk about it....Please don''t make me talk about it...." Zilnia pleaded in her mind. "Will?" Nami asked almost expectantly. "What?" I replied as I was back to my little game as the song Walk with me by Orion began playing. "Explain please?" Nami asked while Hailix decided to be silent and listen. "Well, I could try to elaborate more. But I''d fail in doing so...since I''m shit at explaining." I said being rather truthful of the fact. Nami just looked at me with a mix of a confused and curious raised brow. "Really?" She said somewhat flatly. "But, rather in point, It''d generally be what Zilnia said, give or take a detail or two." I added. "That so? You really do get more interesting the more we talk." Nami said with a amused smirk. It was a few moments before I spoke my opinion on that last reply. "Not going to lie...that''s a first." Nami and Hailix looked at me kind of confused by my answer. Hailix decided to chime in this time. "What might be a first?" I looked up from my phones screen and glanced at her. "What Nami said." I said bluntly while looking at the snake woman. "You might of confused them more, I think." Psycho said taking in the facial expressions. Maybe. I thought seeing the somewhat stunned look on Nami''s face. I looked back at the screen of my phone going to a different game. A interesting tower defence game this time. Then Nami made a spontaneous question. "You know, this has been nagging me for hours now. What music do you listen to?" "How does being called a rocking metalheaded dubstepper tell you." I replied evenly. Nami smiled. "Nice choices. Mind letting us hear?" She asked. Huh, not even a day on here and It''s already at this point. Another first for me. I thought. I then took off my earbuds and unplugged them from my phone. Might as well have fun with the moment. I looked at Nami "So lass, what might''cha be wanting to start with?" I asked in an believable irish accent. "You do accents as well. Cool! Can you any others?" Nami asked rather enthused with a smile. "Aye, that I can." I added with some scottish. "Okay we''ll go into that later, now for the music...How about some of that dubstep? I haven''t heard many earthen ones." Nami said. "First bit, I''m surprised you''ve known of any. Second bit, didn''t think such a thing would be in around the galaxy. And third. What might it be? Chillstep? Trap? Drum and bass, electro? Heavy bass metalstep? Or do we want a inbetweener?" I asked with a raised brow. Nami thought for a moment then smiled. "Surprise me." I then went about finding a song through my music library. It was ten seconds into searching before a song came to mind. After another five the song came up. Speo''s Horizon is a good one to start. I thought as the notes of piano like notes began to play. Nami began to nod her head to the sound, not long did the bass come in kicking up the sound. Zilnia found herself enjoying the song as well. "Oh I like this!" Hailix said smiling nodding her head with a slight sway to the sound as well. "I have good taste." I said with a semi smug smile and a small shrug. "It seems so." Nami said liking the song greatly. Little did I know I attracted the attention of a vixen to our table with the music, she herself finding the sound rather pleasant. "That''s a new one." She remarked, then got up from her seat, being done with her meal. She had an amused smile as she approached the origin of the interesting music, rather curious. The teal bead holding her massive red hair with black highlights swaying side to side as she sauntered to the sound. She walked parallel to our table a few rows from us, so not to attract our attention. She saw the familiar group of three at the table. "Well I know where the musics coming from, but I''ve never seen-" She thought before her train of thought halted seeing what was sitting at the table. "Is... Is that a human...?" Tissara Folgra questioned with widened eyes. She smiled. "Oh yes it is..." She listened in on the conversation, ear twitching to the direction while she turned invisible. This wasn''t a first time she''s eavesdropped while going a stealthed approach, and it definitely won''t be the last as she listened in. I looked up at the three girls around me. A burning question on my mind. "Soooo...question. ...Where am I going to sleep?" I asked unsure and somewhat worried for my own sake. There was a collective thought between the three. "Oh crap." They were quiet for a moment before Zilnia piped up, my attention focusing on her. "I have a extra bed in my room, you can sleep there if you like." She said with a small smile. I flashed a smile. "That''ll work." Nami and Hailix pouted for different reasons at the notion. "As much as I love the idea of waking up to a bj in the middle of the night or the morning. I can wait a little while to get to know these girls some more." Psycho said greatly surprising me and Vlad as I mentally bugeyed. "Who the fuck are you and what the hell did you just do with Psycho?!" Vlad said incredulously in shock. "Oh fuck you, you logical prick nugget." Psycho retorted with a note of irritation. There he is. I thought still surprised of the gutter minded voice, thankfully I didn''t show any external surprise for the others to see and ask why of. A few minutes later our food rang up with Nami and Hailix getting the food, leaving me and Zilnia for a small time. "At least you can sleep soundly in my room." She said breathing out. Then the song No identity by My life played. "Which I thank you for." I said, then a thought came to mind. "I kind of expected to see Lyra here." I added rather curious. "I''m kind of surprised too, I guess she loves doing her engineering projects more than talking more to the jarringly lifted human." Zilnia said humorously with a soft smile. I looked at her in the corner of my eye with a not as amused look. "That''s going to be going about for a while, huh?" I asked with a raised brow. "Considering what starts up and continues to float around for a while here, sadly yes. With it seeming that''s what you''re going to be known as for a while." Zilnia admitted, remembering some of the odd things still floating around. "Wundabar..." I said dryly. I then had an idea for a question. "I''m curious, does this ship have anything like wifi?" Zilnia looked at me with a somewhat confused look for a moment before it dawned on her. "Yeah, we have something akin to wifi." "Awesome, can it connect to human internet? Reasoning being is there is a program I use to help me sleep." I explained to the gardevoir. "Maybe. Mind if I ask what program it is?" Zilnia asked wondering what it could be. "It''s a program called Pandora, it streams music. Which I use to help me sleep through the night since I haven''t managed to download any sleep music yet." I added explaining. "Never liked sleeping in silence. It always...unnerved me." I said truthfully. My anxiety and paranoia jump up a few gears when it''s just silence...my mind chocking up any out of place sound to be someone or something of malicious intent. Always on guard and always ready to kill if I need. "That''s understandable." Zilnia said, able to agree to the reasoning. Then she saw the possibility to get the information she wanted off the device. She hoped the human wouldn''t know better to what she''ll do. Though he was still skeptical as is. I should of downloaded that list of sleep music...oh god damn it... I thought in irritation of my laziness and procrastination. Well I''m fucked on the matter for the time. Zilnia ought to have a way to do so. I thought, thinking I may use the computer tech while I can. And try to get used to the formating they have to there interfaces. "Now why do I have a feeling things are going to get a little more interesting in the future...?" The invisible vixen thought as she leaned over the little wall at our little booth. As I sat there...I could feel more eyes fell on me. With that feeling I had a damn good feeling that they were talking about the only human on board, and with as far as I know. An all female crew, they were more interested in the fact there was a male on board then it just being human. I did my best down placing the thought of them looking at me, going about it as if nothing odd was happening. Chapter 5 I walked beside Zilnia down the hall, I pulled out my phone for a moment to check the time while holding a can of dew. 9:58 pm. I need to get my pack. I thought then looked at the Gardevoir. "Zilnia, could we make a trip to the cargo hold you guys popped me in? I need to get my pack." I asked seeing if she could make a slight detour. She looked at me giving her attention. "Sure." With that, she lead me to the specific cargo hold they warped me into. Was it either warping, matter translocation? Or did one of them just teleport me in? I questioned as we walked. I''ll ask one of them tomorrow. "Or did they do a sped up version of Star Treking this shit?" Psycho added to the question. "Yes, all good questions to the mode of transportation method into the hold." Vlad noted as we came up to the door. The auto-door opened with one of those, albeit kinda cool but somewhat generic swish sounds. I went in, quickly going to my spot and grabbed my backpack, swinging it onto my shoulders. After that I made my way back to the Gardevoir. Once we got near her room, a question came to mind. "....Quick question." I began, catching the attention of Zilnia. "What?" "Do these rooms have private showers?" I asked a little uncertainty in my tone. "Yeah, and you''re free to use my shower." The computer technician replied with a calming and understanding smile. My shoulders slacked from relief. "Awesome." That made my life a hell of a lot easier. I thought relieved with the knowledge. A while more and we made it to her room, along the way, I was trying my best to commit the path to memory as best as I can making things into landmarks in my mind. With that coming up with a sort of 3D map in a digital structure format kind of resembling a heist movie discussing the layout of the building. Why it was like this in my mind, I didn''t have much clue into the reasoning other than the reasoning of, why not? Alrighty...let''s see how the room looks. I thought with growing curiosity of what might be. Without a word, Zilnia pressed her palm on the right side of the frame. A six by eight inch square lightly illuminated aquamarine, the door then opened showing a dimmed room filled with a kind of blue backlighting you''d see in a avid gamers setup. I peered in with a raised brow of intrigue seeing two queen sized beds in a larger then I thought to be room. The one on the right was covered in a black fuzzy blanket showing a black dragon''s head gently emerging from the darkness with would be dark piercing yellow eyes. As well on the bed there was at least eight pillows of varying sizes, the first layer at the head of the bed was a long body pillow like I had on my bed colored a dark red, then a blackish gray pillow serving as the main head pillow, it and it''s pillow case looked to be made of a soft cooling material if I was to guess if not most of the pillows. The side pillows were stacked two high to provide something to lean your back against if need be and the other two provided something to hold as a comforting thing as one slept, as well they were dyed in darker colors. Finally I saw a few bulges indicating the last two pillows as leg pillows. I noticed a rather similar amount on the left bed with a rather lack of the sort of boldness on what obviously to be Zilnia''s bed. Granted if I were to stay in this room with most likely semi-permanence, that can be fixed granted if my hopes to such liberties in conjunction to the amount of freedom I''ll have on this ship. Continuing on the room, it''s futuristic as one would expect but has a kind of homely apartment feeling I would guess, an added guess is it''s almost two and a half times the size of my old room. Being my room was about fifteen by thirteen if I guessed right, on the floor was what surprised me to be something akin to if not actually carpet of a greyish white color. The walls were lined with images, posters and a couple shelves holding books and other small things in a somewhat chaotic yet organized positioning. Said images on the walls depicted games and fantasy with some scifi here and there. One of my random immediate thoughts was that Zilnia was a gamer as well, interesting as it is as I didn''t entirely pegged her for one for gaming. But with that in thought somewhat stupid in thinking such with in consideration of being a computer tech. With one or two sides of me being glad the room is neater in considered projections of possibility. Another thing I noticed was the serious computer setup with four screens, I didn''t really see any splaying cord or any erratic bundles. Back to the screens, they weren''t small either, if I was guessing roughly they had to be about nearly if not twenty inches wide and seventeen tall each. An added interesting thing is that they were held up on these swivel mounts. Furthermore on the desk that reside below the screens were six small nodes in a encircling formation. Holo-screen projectors it seemed, she probably had them in a four screen setting considering the four physical screens. Odd having both, but interesting still on either having extra screens you can slide to one side and to pull in as needed. Or just not feeling like one type of screen that day, kind of something I''d do if given the option. As a gamer, having extra screens was always nice. Never knew when you had to pull up something to research on the game, especially nice when you''re playing a finicky game that didn''t like alt tabbing. On the other side was a not as nice computer setup, likely not as powerful either. Though it has the same amount of holo-screen nodes in the same formation oddly enough, as well not as cluttered with cords. To the left of the room, I saw a door to what only could be the bathroom. Lastly, the room was of a lower temp then I''d expect, a lot like my house actually. If I were to gauge the range of it, it would be between sixty seven to sixty nine, somewhere near or around there. Another thing to keep note while here, the rooms have local temperature regulation. And that Zilnia likes colder temps. Or is like me, lives better in somewhat colder temperatures. "Right, that''ll be your bed. Bathroom''s there. For now that''s your personal computer, I''ll help set you up later, it''ll be easier to get the hang of then you''ll think. The OS is like your world''s Windows program...honestly, kind of an odd name to use." Zilnia listed getting off topic for a moment. "If you need more pillows, sheets or blankets just ask. ...I apologize if it''s a little too cold." Zilnia ended, not entirely knowing what else to bring up at the moment. I looked at Zilnia with a languid smile. "It''s actually like my house temp wise. On that, it''s like I say dealing with the heat or the cold. I''d rather by struggling to get warm-" I said then Zilnia joining in. "than be dying with an ice pack..." I looked at the Gardevoir with a raised brow and an amused look as she was showing a calm smile. "You too?" I asked while going "really now?" In my head at the moment. "I''m not the only one on that now, that''s honestly my take between the two as well. It''s easier to deal with putting on layers and taking them off when need be in the winter." Zilnia added. "Oh indeed." I agreed, while making another once over the room. Being intrigued by quite a few things in this room. I then looked at the would be window in between the beds. Instead of showing space, it''s showing a lush woodland landscape. There''s those on the ship as well. Cool...Hmmm... Wonder if there''s some sort of connectability that coincides of image sorting. Might be able to do different backgrounds if I get my own room. I thought towards the future possibility. "And I have some ideas for some of the images that could be used." Vlad noted, Ideas of nice calming landscapes and other images that will sidetrack my mind of being out in space.Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation. "Ooo! Me too!" Psycho added, having more than a few ideas. No. Me and Vlad both said curtly. "Why not?" "We both know why. One, as interesting as it might be. Having tits show up on screen of that interface might be a nice idea for the more carnal side. It will be a bad idea for when one of them comes into the room and suddenly sees that. While on here, we are not keeping a perverted reputation...last goddamn thing we need with either constant sneering or teasing or a culmination of the two with added tidbits that would prove an unsightly reminder." Vlad explained in a tone of seriousness. Exactly I thought in agreement. "Alright alright, when you put it that way. It does not seem like the best idea...heheh...but the reactions seem fun anyway." "In the thought of it yes. It does seem amusing, but the answer is a collective no." After the discussion, a thought pertaining to my phone came up. "So, about connecting to the on board wifi like internet structure." I casually reminded. Zilnia looked at me for a short moment confused, her face perked realizing what I asked. "Oh, yeah. Give me a sec." She said then went to her computer, powering up the set up. Something I can only describe as something maybe like a hard-light keyboard materialized in front of her while the holo-screens came to life in the setup I thought they''d be. I came up to the computer table, rather fascinated by the technology as multiple things were flashing through the screens. With practiced fingers brought up several programs that I think will be used in the process of connecting my phone to the network. What surprised and shocked me is that it was all in english, I fully expected some sort of alien language. To which I just had to ask. "Alright, I''m curious. Is the main language of the OS structures all in english? Because to be perfectly honest, I fully expected seeing an alien language on this. As well as hearing such." Zilnia looked at me with another confused look. "What-oh! Alright, I''ll start with this. This is the usual language I use. There are several we use on the ship, this is one of the more common out of them. But, with the crew. Nearly everyone is bilingual, and for the few that aren''t Lyra gives them translators, which I sometimes have to program." Zilnia explained in a rather cordial tone. "Alright." I said with a small nod then added. "Another thing, I''ve noticed some of the crew have different earthen accents from different parts of my world." "Right, Aiz''s reason is similar with a couple of places. Some of them stumble on the language and try adding it to their repertoire, some want to try to learn a certain type. And some of the languages are required on here." "Interesting." "And I have to say, you humans have some interesting languages." Zilnia added, still amazed at the amount and variety. "Yeah seriously. There''s also this one I head on one of the media sites I use and found a video about a language that''s just whistling." "You''re kidding." Zilnia asked somewhat flatly. "I shit you not. It''s a full on and old as hell language that''s only spoken on one island." I said adding some of my amazement of such a thing. "Huh...Cool." The Gardevoir said, pondering the fact for a moment then went back to doing her thing on the computer. After another minute the program was set, to which she pulled out a drawer full of cords of multiple types. "Can I see the charge port?" Zilnia asked. Wordlessly I fished out my phone and held it out to her. She grabbed it but noticed I didn''t let go when she pulled. She looked at me and flinched slightly seeing my narrow eyed glare, feeling it bore into her mind. "If I find out you bugged my phone in anyway shape or form. Know this." I leaned in a little my eyes widening slightly and letting some of my built up anger seep in. "I know. Where. You. Sleep." I warned. She looked at me wide eyed, her mind raced. "Oh shit he knows!" Zilnia thought being somewhat frightful. He wasn''t as ignorant to the possibility as she thought. She wasn''t expecting him to be as perceptive as she originally thought. Maybe the idea might be a bad one in this case, so in this instance she chooses life. "Furthermore, you won''t find anything of use on here either." I further added. Knowing the thought of having someone new, you''d want to know more about them. But, since she was a computer tech of an alien ship and crew, I couldn''t take chances on this. Knowing of intentions had to be known. And the likelihood of her snooping about my phone and all its data was all too high as well, I didn''t need some sort of broadcasting program acting like a gps giving way to my position at all times. As well telling of all information of what I go on, do and say what to who. I know this is me being paranoid, but this is a thing were having some paranoia on the topic is acceptable. And no one likes other people just searching through their phone. Zilnia held up her hands. "Okay. Okay..." She said calmly. I placed the phone on the computer table, my eyes not leaving her''s. I calmed for the most part as she now somewhat hurriedly looked for a cord to fit the charge port. After doing so taking a minute to find, she located the right cord and plugged both devices. I took a moment if I should apologize on the sudden threat, since she''s largely showed no ill intentions towards me, and helped me through that weird panic attack from hell. After considering, I then spoke after a near silent sigh. "Granted for what I said, I apologize. I''m still not entirely trusting with, everyone here. I''m rather sure you understand in such, as well with accordance of personal items." I said in a more calmed tone. Zilnia was quiet for a few moments. "To be perfectly honest, I can''t fault you on that. I''d be skeptical of everyone on board as well if I were in your situation." She admitted, she herself would be rather untrusting with her personal items. And further untrusting being on a ship with people you know nothing about, not knowing if they''re being actually nice or they''re being nice just so they can get at you when you least expect it. After a moment or two, my mood slipped into a more neutral state as several programs downloaded onto my phone, seeing it as interesting as the code adapted to the coding to my device. It was actually fascinating seeing the walls of code build up as the occasional load bar pops up for a few seconds. After waiting another minute the process was complete. Zilnia unplugged my phone and handed it to me. "Alright, now not to alarm you. I did a few tweaks to the software-" Zilnia began to explain as I gave a hard gaze, doing nothing more at this moment as to let her explain out of my own curiosity. She stammered a few seconds, at which I soften my stare to a more almost narrowed eyed but analytical and curious scrutiny. "I''v-I''ve adjusted the storage data to acclimate the new data as well adjusted the resource management algorithms, so it should be faster and handle storage data more fully. As well, I''ve added a sort of navigation program to let you navigate places like the ship better, gathering the data wirelessly. Uh...- speaking of that. I-I updated the software of programs pertaining so it will recognize a connection from farther away and utilize it..." Zilnia explained trailing off at the end. My stare lessened even more to a look of interest midway through. I was rather pleased that my phone will function better rather overall being on the ship and with the potential shore leave, since last I''ve seen. A food synthesizer wasn''t a thing on here. Callia being from what I can gather the main cook with maybe a sous chef and a possible three to four helpers around the kitchen. "How much do you want to bet her quarters is by the kitchen?" Psycho asked legitimately curious now. It''s possible. I replied, not entirely feeling like continuing the conversation at this current time. "I thank you for the help and the additions with my phone." I spoke with a note of gratitude. I looked through my phone seeing what was different. Surprisingly not much, largely the same. "No problem." Zilnia said, calming down some with the reading of my energy, feeling no hostility. "Man I hope he''s not like this the rest of the time he''s here..." Zilnia thought, he seems rather nice. But seems like he can get really angry over small things, being actually intimidating. She can feel that subtle malicious potential. She can truly understand the feelings, she just hoped that the human can acclimate on the ship easy enough that nothing bad happens. With a minor sigh, I look at my would be bed. It has enough pillows I''d need, though I however do not have my sleep attire... So this is a little awkward for me in that aspect. The rest of the night was spent of placing down what things I had, getting situated on my would be ''computer''. It was a lot easier than I expected and hoped, with a lot of helpful little features and little niches. Even a touch screen like ability which kind of astonished me, I couldn''t see a reason why one would have them with such a crew. Another feature was a sort of motion control with pin point gesture recognition, scientists would be chomping at the bit to take a look at. I know in some ways, I''m one of the luckiest humans in accordance with the spatial science division. I''ll be able to interact with sapient species and marvelous technology of our would be wildest imaginations. But, that didn''t seem all too perdent with my current predicament of trying to acclimate to my surroundings. And the beings I''m to interact with upon the daily. Granted, I''m rather sure I''ve made a few friends here today. Hopefully tomorrow will go as smoothly...god damn do I hope. Chapter 6 I laid there quietly sleeping peacefully. For this time, I forgot this wasn''t my bed. I was back in mine, back in my room. On earth. Ooooh...But this morning. This morning I was going to get a terrifying awakening thanks to a certain phobia my mom helped spawn. For my own good in consideration since I tried playing with black widows when I really young as I''ve been told. "Alright sleeping beauty. It''s time to wake up sweetheart." I heard a woman''s voice say rather kindly. My brows furrowed in confusion with the familiarity of the voice. Why the fuck is Wanda Sykes trying to wake me up...? I questioned thoroughly confused. My eyes opened to look at the pillow in front of my face, when I looked to the way I would be facing if I was on my back. My eyes for a lack of better words bug eyed with a kind of fear that you swear you''ll shit yourself. To which in acquaintance to the reaction to the Galvantula currently standing over me, I let loose a blood curdling high pitched scream that startled Zilnia awake and made the Galvantula above me jump. In the moment the Wanda Sykes voiced electro tarantula was trying to tell me to calm down, I brought up both legs and sort of donkey kicked it off me as I swiftly got up and had my knife out from under one of the pillows in a ready to stab anything stance, as the Galvantula smashed into the adjacent wall. "STAY THE MOTHER OF FUCK BACK!!" I yelled with a deathly seriousness that was accompanied with my fear induced higher pitched voice. "Dude! Calm the hell down before I electroweb yo chunky ass!" "FUCKING TRY AND I''LL GUT YOU''RE THORAXE YA EIGHT LEGGED FREAK MOTHERFUCKER!!" I yelled in fearful anger. The Galvantula retorted with a grunt. "Yeah I''d like to see you try." She grunted while she rolled back over. "Damn he kicks hard..." He didn''t look it, but the human had some decent muscle. I quickly switched the knife around ready to throw it. "Bitch don''t tempt me!!" I was shit at getting the rotation right when I practiced throwing knives, but I was rather confidante of this impending throw. Zilnia quickly came over to me, putting her hands on my left arm. "Will! Will! It''s alright, she''s friendly!-friendly!" Zilnia said trying to reason with me. "Fucking tell that to my arachnophobia!" I said loudly, my bulging eyes locked on the giant ass spider. If I were to guess ''her'' size, I''d say was about as tall to my waste. And I''m five eight... "Your what?" Both pokemon asked. Confused by the term. "Oh for fucks-sake!" I began as I let my arms drop, while rolling my eyes, my head somewhat following the motion. For a moment, I looked at Zilnia while pointing to the Galvantula, knife in hand that was about to kill it. "It''s the fear of spiders! And guess what the fuck that is!" I said looking while pointing at the jumbo tarantula. "Oh now that''s not cool." The Wanda Sykes sounding Galvantula said kind of hurt. I gave a hard glare, still very much at the ready. "Blame that on my fucking mother!" "How can you have a phobia against my big fluffy ass! Bitch, I''m down right adorable!" The Wanda Sykes voiced Galvantula retorted while gesturing with her smaller forelimbs and a shake of her abdomen. I glared at it with hard pressed pursed lips, torn on trying to smile and keep my angry and terrified face...But I just can''t take this entirely seriously because the voice and the current reaction. I took in a breath while tilting my head up. Mmm-the conflictions!! I thought with a grunting voice. "Ooooh my god damn it all!" I said aloud in frustration. I dropped the knife from tip to underhand. "Well THIS is a great fucking start of the fucking day!!"Psycho said not all too pleased with the imposing situation, this was rather a rude awakening. Then the Galvantula spoke up. "Alright, I don''t know what''s with your world. But I ain''t like those scary lookin'' things, sure I''m big an'' all. But I ain''t gonna wrap you up and make you into a meat slurrpy, that''s nasty!" She said making gestures to the actions, while trying to defend her image to the crew''s latest not so trusting abductee. I just held an uneasy glare, my anxiety was going ape shit on what''s currently happening and said anxiety was being fueled by the grease fire that''s my phobia flaring up. With this, Zilnia saw my torso oddly enough practically vibrate. "Listen, we''ll go to the canteen, get properly acquainted and have things cleared up. Sound like a good idea?" Zilnia said trying to defuse the situation. "So just, put the knife down, nobody needs to get bloody and everything will be alright, okay?" I looked at her while keeping the eight legged freaks sized Galvantula in my peripheral. Seeming almost like a mass of yellow. "I''m claiming self-defence if she tries something that I really don''t fucking like." Zilnia showed a conceding smile. "Ay, nobody''s gonna try something without a good enough reason. You''ll be fine, I for one ain''t got anything against you." The Galvantula said in a calming tone, admittedly, the thought was comforting. But, given sentient beings that can have barely based qualms against something they don''t like. That reason can be certainly a pitiful one. "Poorly executed christian ideology." Psycho coughed. Shut it. I took a long breath in and out, trying to calm myself some. I then lowered the knife after a moment, I gave a several second long light glare to the one that started this little comotion. I went about fishing the bed for my knife''s holster. When I was getting it back in, I glanced at my machete. In hindsight, I probably should of grabbed that instead... "Maybe." Shortly after things cooled off so to speak, we made our way to Callia''s place of work. I was still kind of leery of being near the Galvantula. I was aware of the level of honesty of these two, but it wasn''t going to stop some parts of my mind. We had some small talk here and there along the way. In these small conversations I learned the Galvantula was named Galavena, kind of felt like a play on words in my honest opinion. But, a kind of fun to say name. Kind of like mock angrily yelling Zarbadon, in which Psycho proceeded doing. "GALAVEEENAAAAAAAA!!! Heheheheh, oh that''s more fun than that should be." The voice of madness remarked chuckling. "Ay, Ay, Vlad! Give it a try!" "Eh, not entirely feeling inclined." "Aw come on. One time." Vlad sighed. "Alright, one time." "Okay, on three. One. Two. Three!" And together they bellowed the name in mock anger. ""GALAVEEENAAAAAAAAA!!!"" Vlad began chuckling himself, he had to agree, It is more fun it should be as he laughed with Psycho. Even I did a little silent chuckling. We entered the threshold of the dining area, I noticed the lights were softer than yesterday, which I wouldn''t complain as it was easier on my eyes. Though as we neared Callia''s work cooking area, I heard soft voiced singing of Wake me up Inside from Evanescence. Huh, didn''t think she''d like Evanescence. Cool. As she placed the pot on the burner, she noticed our approach showing a light smile. "Hm, morning. I hope your sleep was not disturbed?" Callia asked, it took me a few seconds to register that she was talking to me as my neutral expression was broken by my raised eyebrows to the question while we sat down. "Mostly till the end, to which I had nearly pissed myself from Galavena hovering over my face, to which lead me to educating them on my arachnophobia." I said, placing a somewhat distasteful glance to the offender, then looked back with resuming my lax expression. Then continued. "So, if anything besides this. Rather pleasant." Callia made a light chuckle. "I''d imagine your fairly awake now, no?" She said lightly teasing. "Yes, for the most part." I began with furrowed brows and a sigh. "Though, I''d hope this kind of awakening will not be a recurring type. Would be rather grating in multiples in quick succession. I''m the kind that enjoys his eight hour sleep cycle." "I could imagine. Would you like to partake in breakfast?" Callia asked with an almost cheerful tone, still holding that light smile. That light smile was growing to be a now not so unwelcomed familiarity on this ship for me. "Though usually not so soon after waking up. Buuuut, I may not say no to what you may have in mind." I said showing my own light smile. I began feeling a almost somewhat disorientation coming in, my paranoid side was babbling over impending lightheadedness through rather quickly lowering blood sugars. But as the thought was going by Callia piped up. "I almost forgot,-" The froslass cook said as she somewhat hurriedly left, I heard what sounded like a fridge door opening and closing. A few seconds later she came back with a cherry dr. pepper, placing it in front of me. Both my would be companions, but rather, I''d guess to say breakfasting colleagues looked at the exchange with confusion. Oh sweet jesus. I thought as she slid the canned drink to me. As she continued I opened the beverage and took a short drink. "Miss Aiz informed me of your sugar issue, as with compiling a medical list for you for the others to look over for potencial happenings that can be prevented." Callia informed, I was in actual delighted surprise of the development. Well, I''d imagine she''d have to do so in any case since I''m to be temporarily part of the crew. It''d be unwise to not do so if something can be prevented from something going wrong with something completely manageable. I thought given the circumstance. I actually smiled a little more. "Well, that''s nice of her. Even though somewhat obligated, nice thought regardless." I said in a kind of pleased tone. "I had thought that be so, as well. I am willing to help manage this blood sugar complication." Callia added, even though I had barely fledgling ties to this crew. I was rather delighted to the thought that the crew that I''ve met so far have been rather happy to help as they could. I''ve been actually feeling welcomed on the ship even. I looked at her with an actual smile. "That''s rather enlightening." "Ah, progress." Callia thought with a happy note. It was nice seeing the human actually smile, and seeing his trust grow. She hoped he will be on the ship for awhile, since she''s already grown to like this human. He was a fairly cordial one at that, as well having a pleasant feel about him. In a generalized aspect, she enjoyed his presence. As well she felt she''ll be getting regular compliments. Which she had no argument to. I brought out my phone seeing if I had any messages out of curiosity, though doubtful given the circumstance. It didn''t hurt to check. Well fuck. Nothing. I thought at the lack of notifications. Though expected... I then added with a mental sigh. Just then my brows furrowed. It''d be odd if I didn''t as I thought of it, then I wouldn''t of been able to use pandora. Though that contradicts that notion since I still got data. But then another thought came up that reminded me of the possible existence of something like the Extranet from the Mass Effect series. As well a corresponding thought that I''ll get more social media like data when we come near something like a data buoy. Oh the plausibilites. Though, on the other hand. Zilnia might of sneaked a notification filter on my phone. I hypothesized, thinking of plausibility, that was one of them. With that fact in mind, I would have to do a little testing. Then a thought hit me, why was it just me and these three? Shouldn''t this place be practically filled? "So, I''m curious. Did everybody else get up and eat already, or is everybody still waking up?" I inquired, I was legitimately curious as to why. "Most of them are up. There are some that are still in the midst of waking up. ...Speaking of." As Callia was explaining, another one of the crew came in. "Morning Jira." Callia greeted with a sort of smug smile, I looked over to my left to see an Arcanine woman in remarkably casual clothing, that being a gray sleeveless shirt with a white skull in the middle of the chest and a pair of green shorts, around her hips was a holster of sorts, it held two elongated square sections. My immediate thought was compacted pistols, or melee weapons. For all I new it was both. As I looked up to her face, I noticed some ear jewelry. One set was at the middle outfacing sides, they were what looked like half inch teal roses, another set on the inner facing side at the same height spaced apart by two inches were a dual pair of chrome like spike on both ears, they appear to be adapted from the human design that''d wrap around the earlobe for her canid ears. I stared for a moment as Jira groaned a greeting whilst her left hand clasped her head, she was leaned forward with arms on the counter as she sat down. Well hi rule 34 encarnet. I commented looking at the woman named Jira. Okay, seriously. Is the entirety of the crew gonna be like this? Serious question! I thought almost incredulously. It''s almost been a running theme so far. Psycho obviously wasn''t complaining on this little factoid, but Vlad was having the same thought about this as I. "I told you to go easy on that bottle." Callia said with an proven right smile, she then went back into the kitchen to get something. "Mmm...not my fault it was so good...and so smoooooth...ooohh..." Jira replied, then made another groan nodding off a little, a few moments later Callia came back with a glass of water. And of all things, it had alka seltzer bubbling at the bottom of the glass, if not something like it. "Thaaank yooou..." Jira almost meekly said with a thankful smile, grateful to have something to help the hangover. She waited a couple more moments before she started sipping at her drink. The whole time I just watched the whole situation, deciphering what kind of work she would be doing here among many other things. I then felt a tap on my shoulder, I looked over to Zilnia with a raised brow with a hardened look of curiosity. She leaned up to my ear and whispered. "That''s the captain." Seriously? I thought almost deadpan, my face portraying that same comment. I had another raised brow as I saw her eyes widen a little, looking off to my other side, she then pointed at that same direction with her right hand. I looked back over with a sort of indifferent look, I saw Jira looking at me with a smile. "Hi there." She said with what looked like a rather friendly smile. "You look cute." "Darling, you would do best to nurse your drink before trying further." I suggested adding a small but cordial smile with a sort of posh voice, lightly deepening my voice for the effect to a pleasant tone and gesturing to her drink. She looked at me for a moment with slightly pursed lips, lightly nodding while turning back to her drink. "Yeah your right..." She agreed, taking another drink. Handled that fairly well. I thought turning back to my own, taking another drink and closing my eyes and focused on the taste, having a light smile to my features, a feeling of calm setting in. A few seconds later, I opened my right eye glancing at a staring Zilnia, looking at me like she couldn''t believe what just happened. I gave her a look silently asking, what? She gestured to Jira, looking from her to me back and forth a couple times before bringing another hand up to empower the notion of her motioning her incredulous emotion to what just happened. I raised up my hands with my confused look. "Oh here we go." Galavena thought just watching all of this transpire. A couple more minutes of silent conversing with the computer tech, steadily rose up to nigh incredulity, in the midst of this Jira called my attention again so to speak. "So I hear you''ve made a few friends here already." Jira spoke with a calm smile, from what she''s heard he''s kind of eccentric, mostly friendly demeanor and a large fascination of weapons, and games the crew plays in the rec room. She hasn''t heard much from Aiz than some of the crucial bits of information of their acquired human. That anxiety of his seemed rather troublesome as well. Including the added though not confirmed malfunctioning insulin production of his system. At that comment, my face made a sort of look of confusion with one furrowed brow, I swivel around to look at the supposed captain of this ship of what appears to be an all female crew so far. "Oh?" I simply inquired. "Good seeing your jarring pick up didn''t stop that idea, as I''m sure everyone you''ve talked to agrees that they''d wouldn''t blame some hostility from having a glorified kidnapping." I looked at her with a sort of irritated look at the term ''glorified kidnapping''. "I''m sorry, but there''s nothing glorified to what happened yesterday. That was by fucking definition of kidnapping, with a baffling level of gaul doing it at a school of all places in broad fucking daylight." I replied, still sore on that topic understandably. She just had a sort of shit eating grin. "Yeah, we tend to be ballsy like that. Plus, that was the quickest spot for pickup." Jira admitted, I just gave her a deadpan look. "You could of gone to my house in the middle of the night, while everyone was sleeping, put some sedatives in my system and hauled me off." This comment sparked some widened eyes from the four women. It took them a second to realize I was serious. Jira raised a finger for a moment about to say something, dropping then attempted again. "That actually sounded a lot smoother." "Right?" I said with a more of an intensified tone. "Well, the other way was more fun anyways." I just rolled my eyes at that. Jira then changed the subject. "Did you get a full tour?" Oh, alright then. I see how this shit is. "For the most part." I replied. "Didn''t get a full chance to get a gander at engineering, or the bridge, I''m sure there''s still a few places I need to familiarize myself with." I added, I needed to know what was where if anything happened. Then a sudden thought came into mind. "By the way, what''s the mode of escape here? Escape pods? We get in a drop ship in the hanger? Something else entirely?" If there is a hanger bay. "Smart question, we have enough pods to snugly fit all the crew. And we have a hanger with a ship or two we could use in an emergency. And if absolutely necessary. Some of the crew quarters can be used as makeshift pods." "Are they modular?" I asked, meaning the crew quarters now curious. Jira then a made a face as if not so sure how to answer that. "...Yes and no." One of those situations. At this Callia came back over before Jira could continue explaining. "Since I''m sure you''ve had good amount of time to socialize with our captain. I think it''s time for breakfast, no?" It was now that my stomach was protesting it''s lack of fill. I looked over to Callia with an amicable expression while she asked what we''d like. I just smiled at her, then replied. "Oh, surprise me." I asked with a warm laid back smile. Callia smiled back with a knowing nod. Shortly I was presented with a breakfast cr¨ºpe in a wonderful display, and next to it on a smaller plate was a cinnamon roll that looked to be freshly made. I had a pleasantly amazed look on my face as I marveled at a realization, while on here. I''m going to have amazing food like this every damn day! Naturally, the taste was just heavenly. "Oh my god! This is better than Ihop!" I said while leaning my head back, then going back to my heaven on a plate. "Ihop you say?" Was Callia''s prying reply. She had not heard of this Ihop before, though the way of the human''s joyful indulgence it must of been a fairly good place for food. "Mm...restaurant chain around where I lived. God damn this is better than the one I gave kudos to the chef on." I was having a straight up foodgasm. Callia casually beamed with the praise. "It''s official, I love your cooking...just, oh-mm!" "Gordon fucking Ramsay would be praising this!!" Psycho said pleasantly. I don''t know if I can even go back to some of the cooking I''ve been familiar with after living with this. I noted for the future. This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience. "And another''s enthralled." Jira quipped as she ate her breakfast, even though there was a pleased smile on her own face. She''ll never get tired of the ice woman''s cooking. Callia just leaned over to the captain with a pleased side smile. "He was making praises like this yesterday, third meal and the compliments haven''t slowed." The cook said with a quiet voice. "I can see why your liking him, you are a great cook after all." Jira commented in the hushed tone Callia used. "You and the rest of the crew know damn well." Callia said with that same smile now with an equivalent eyebrow waggle. A short while later with a few hushed conversations we were finished, as Jira stood up, she piped up. "Okay, William was it? Come on, we''re gonna familiarize you with the bridge." Jira said with a follow motion and a not so suggesting tone. It nonetheless had a friendliness to it still. A few seconds later as she walked away she looked back to see me looking at her with a not so sure and understanding look. "Dude, come on.-" Jira began, Vlad put another tally for lax but potentially dangerous captain. "I know you heard me, get up and walk with me. The quicker we do this, the quicker you can get to doing your own thing, I''m sure most of the crew needs to have at least some bearing for the new guy on the ship." Admittedly she did have a point in a few regards. I had a minor eye roll with a quiet sigh, I slightly flinched when my left shoulder was given a pat, I realized it was one of the reassuring kind a second after, I looked over to that shoulder seeing Zilnia with a calming smile. Granted the would be calming aspect didn''t have much effect on me, though I couldn''t help giving a light smile back a her. I then uneasily eyeballed Galavena''s meal, a clear sack that looked to be the size of a basketball earlier, I could see the two four inch protrusions that were her fangs. I quickly got over it, looking away and not thinking about it while mentally swiping the thought to the side. A thing that''s helped me in recent years for some things that would spike my anxiety. As I got up, I heard the metal thunk of a soda can being placed on a hard surface, I turned around looking at Callia who had another soda for me. For some reason her smile felt a sum more effective in reassurance, the next comment helped my state of mind a little bit. "If things get a little more intense for you, you can hide out in here." Was the cooks quiet comment to me. A brighter smile showed from me seeing I already have two places for me to chill at, Callia just got brownie points for the kindness. "Thanks, I''ll keep it in mind." I said with actual sincerity, I grabbed the can of cherry dr.pepper and walked up to Jira, we walked in silence for a while as I got my music situated with one earbud in my left ear. Along the way I opened my soda taking small drinks periodically, shortly, the arcanine woman came up with a conversation starter. "Kind of expected you to be a little more talkative." She said in a kind of unsure tone, taking note of my lack of conversing. I glanced at her with a raised brow at the comment, I didn''t really have a verbal response, so I was just quiet while following her just two paces behind. While behind her, I was taking the time to analyze and memorize key features, keeping eye on her gait, fur pattern for possible identification scenario of multiple of the same species. In the midst of that part, my brows furrowed with a thought. Is that even a thing anymore for most of them? Just by Jira alone, diversification already made it''s route through the species already making multiple unique variations. With that in mind, I memorized her form regardless. Her voice is already mostly committed to memory for later identification for a distance to crowd settings. The whole way precautions were formulated, mostly for the sake of my survival, and partly I couldn''t help it because of the environment I was in. Most of them I cleared to the side, some to a backburner of sort for further exploring, with a few being kept for the immediate moment. Like the multiple hiding spots I''ve seen that I can utilize, another route of thought needed the location of the escape pods and familiarize controls. Already have multiple mostly successful methods to end some crews lives if need be, a portion of those methods utilizing the odd level of trust I have been given so far. Though, that thought process was halted for the time being. I was rather liking some of the crew so far and wasn''t inclined to act upon the actions...and underlining impulses. If some situations do arise to fruition, I''d need ways to curb those little compulsions. Unneeded death is always a dreadful thing. I thought coldly. This was one of many thoughts that swam through my mind among other things, with that I quickly snuffed a small dreaded smile as I saw the area to the bridge. Just before one would enter the area, I noticed a indent that encircled the hall, my immediate thought was an emergency mechanism to seal off the area incase of a breach. Considering the amount of sci-fi I''ve seen, this is either going to be some sort of door that''ll pop up, or a shield that will trap air and keep occupants from flying out. Aside the first observation, I went about looking over everything I could while walking on. I looked on with an contemplative gaze, the bridge reminded me of multiple I''ve seen, bit of Star trek, dash of Halo, pinch of Mass Effect and some others that which their names escape me. Off to the side of the room, I saw Hailix doing her job looking at star charts and such. Quite a few of the others I saw in the canteen all doing their thing, some of the others at work stations chatting, all in a sort of uniform. After a moment I hear a whistle and everyone''s attention took their cue and looked at the entrance to see Jira and me, there was a slew of mutters and whispers. If anything, it had me fascinated. "Alright everybody, I assume you all know of our latest little pick up. His name is William. He''s going to be with us for a while, give him the same courtesy and respect like the rest of the crew. For some of you that aren''t too fond of humans, rein your shit in and don''t be a dick. And no, he''s not free game, some of you know who I''m talking about." Jira explained eyeing some of the specific crew members so far, then gave a kind of tired tone for the next comment. "If you really want to, for gods sake ask. If I find out any of you are making forced advances, I''ll bust your ass myself." She next warned, this pulled me out of whatever thought I had and melted my almost disinterested look to be replaced with shocked eyes that turned to Jira. Excuse me? I thought kind of incredulous. "I swear to god I heard one of them say ''We have some new dick girls!''. Now, this is going to be the best part of our lives. Or, this is going to be a kind of hell we had no hope to prepare." Psycho noted then added. Naturally, He had no qualms and had high hopes with the first part. "Contrary to the usual things I''m against with Psycho. I''d rather not deal with some sort of ''what fresh hell is this?'' kind of moment and rather go with the optimistic view." Yeah, that and I''m sure Psycho''s hopes of yesterday just went up by a couple dozen percent. Arizona''s Let Me Touch Your Fire stratus remix came up as Psycho chuckled. "Oooh-ho-ho, you have no idea." With that comment, some of these women are hopping out of their workstations quickly coming our way. I did not expect this to be honest, to which my eyes and brows went about portraying that feeling. Oookay then, that''s not...-oh god there''s a fucking dozen! I thought in slight panic as I beheld the multiple morphs greeting me. "Hi..." I replied with a level of uncertainty in my voice. Okay... I began before listing what I saw. Rhydon that looks like a foot shorter than I expected, a Marowak, oh. Course, can''t not have the eeveelutions... I thought dryly at the end. Then continued. Dragonair? morphology is a bit off with some off coloration. Is that a Bayleaf!? Huh, a Flaaffy. Kinda up there in ''aww'' factor. And a Grovyle. Alrighty then, diversity is pretty high in this ship, well if anything the canteen kinda already solidified that notion. "I''m Venara, weapons logistics support." The Rhydon said with a smile, some of them had humanoid bodies to a degree. "Amourah, navigation. Hope your stay goes well." Greeted the Dragonair morph next with a smile. Psycho was already going over his ravings. "Is it true what they say about humans?" I just gave her a look. Oh this should be good... "That is highly dependent of what presumptions have been made." I replied. "In high stress situations is it actually possible for a human to exhibit levels of strength not seen beforehand in the individual?" Amourah asked with a fascinated glint in her eyes. And dare I say excited smile waiting for the answer. I raised an index finger, that soon pointed to her while showing a face debating on what I''d say next. "Yes actually, it''s called hysterical strength. There''s been multiple documented instances, even elderly have come up on some documentation of the feat." "Sweet!" Amourah said with a fist pump. "Fama, you owe me fifty credits!" she added grinning at the Flaaffy morph. "Aw, damn it." Was the other girl''s reply as she handed her a credit chit. I looked at the exchange with an interested raised brow. "Had a little bet, eh?" "Yep, Fama here didn''t believe me when I came across an article talking about humans with temporary augmented strength." Amourah replied as she held the chit above some wrist worn device, once she the item near it, it floated above the device and evaporated so to speak, to which it was thus sucked into it showing a counter going up. Strangely enough, though more likely convenient if it was in widespread use. The numbers where the same as human''s used, or these were coincidentally used among the ranging species of this broad pokemon based race, or maybe it would be races? This went on like this for a solid thirty minutes, I as well became eased...not exactly the right word, comfortable more like while conversing with these women. Truth be told, I never had a problem talking to the other sex, hell, I have had friends over the years that were girls, including one I''ve known for most of my life. Her mom is also a long time friend of my mother''s as well. Back to the topic, this was spent clearing up a bunch of things, and some of the rather idiotic things that came of the courtesy of the internet. The internet, a god damn blessing, and the most atrocious thing to be. More information than the world''s libraries combined, best community think tank conspirator, distribution of science, and a bigger archive of porn than anything could hope to store. Well, that''s if you had a warehouse filled with those five dimensional storage disks. I myself still want at least one of those things, insane storage capacity for the size, and could save so much more hardware space for more things in a computer housing. Three hundred and sixty terra''s for a roughly one inch wide disk. Any gamer would kill for that kind of storage. Speaking of such things, the conversation kind of veered into that kind of discussion of tech. Namely humanities tech. That storage disk was one of the discussion topics. "The space those things could save would be fucking amazing! That''s if the damn things can get mainstream and cost efficient for production levels of that size, with in accordance of the devices needed to read them as well." I said remarking on the storage disk of the current topic. "We have something similar I guess, but nowhere the size of those, granted they hold a lot more. But if we could have something like that size with the same capacity of the Ishfaldin storage disks currently installed, that''ll both cut back on weight and free up space." Replied Zese Rogar, a Jolteon tech. Granted I fully expected seeing the previously mentioned eeveelutions, but a small part of me is still getting over the fact most of the crew is a morph of some sort. Psycho''s been having a hayday so far, a good portion of the time to my chagrin. But, I couldn''t blame him for the most part, if so sometimes begrudgingly. As I talked with the consistanting crew of the bridge, my eyes would catch the movement of what I swore to be a shimmer, a few times I took a few seconds with slightly narrowed eyes as they darted and focused on multiple stops where it was seen last at that instant. I''m not gonna lie, my paranoia was spiking to a fair degree because of it. But before I could really start looking, one of the other''s dragged in my attention. Admittedly, I had a lovely time talking with them, talking about tech mostly. Both parties learning a fair bit. Granted, they also knew more about different tech on earth than I''ve come into contact with. The conversation was rather enlightening as well oddly enough, It''s been a very long time since I''ve had a conversation like this. An hour in, Jira finally pulled me away, not before of bid to later conversations, not often I meet some conversationalist, though I wasn''t much of one myself however that is depending on subject. Shortly me and Jira were traveling down the hallway again, as we walked, I was noticing the shimmer again, flitting on my right. Rathar blatantly, such things become so easy to find when one knows what to look for. So, I had a small idea of how I''ll interact. "Hey Jira? Could you hold my drink for a sec?" I ask with a normal tone. Jira in turn slowed a step, "Oh, sure." She replied as she held out her hand, I then hand her my drink. Then a second later my arm thrusted to my right as I followed in the motion, in the movement I impact the shimmer as my forearm was riding up the throat of whoever was cloaked that was followed by a grunt, all the while Jira was being bewildered. In that same action I noticed a sort of straight clawed hand showed up besides my neck, the shimmer was of a very familiar shape as I stared angrily into whoevers eyes it was. Oh the kill a bitch vibe was positively radiating from me, I was soon presented with the form of a decloaked Zoroark who just grinned unabashed at me like something great happened. "Hi, wondered how long I could keep going. Couple times I thought you almost had me heheh. You got good eyes, for a guy who needs glaces. Heh, nice rough patch on the left lens by the way." The Zoroark with strangely deep blue hair that reminded me of the color galaxy blue from GTA 5. She had bizarrely vibrant green eyes with specks of gold. "Gods damn it Tissara, what did I tell you about lurking? Especially around the new guy." Jira reprimanded. She had a feeling thatTissawas going to be stalking around. She was surprised however at how seemingly easy this human found her. She doubted it was immediately, but was sure it was shortly after they left. "Leeeet me guess, you''ve been hanging around reeeaall fucking close, huh? I fucking knew I was seeing shimmers moving around, go fucking figure it''s a Zoroark. And on that, what are you? Scout, stealth ops? Or are you the assassin sort?" I say, then began questioning, staring dead in the eye. There was a side of me that wasn''t gonna take this shit. "She''s mostly stealth ops, however, she''s not the really close combat type." Jira said with a vexed tone telling me this is one of many times she does this kind of thing. As this happened, some Nine lashes began playing with the song Never Back Down. "Well I mean I can..." Tissara says with an eye roll, grin unfaltering before she looked back at me while her hand intended to possibly kill me came to her side. "Though my main thing is espionage. You get a pretty penny for some juicy tidbits, as some of you humans would say. Pluuus, in this line of work, gotta get your hands dirty time to time..." With narrowed eyes I stared at her for a moment, then decided to let her go. Granted, she probably would of had my ass on the ground already, with a possible gaping neck wound, in turn of backing off. I look at Jira again, this time with a narrow eyed raised brow. "Your fucking mercenaries." I say rather matter-of-factly. It''d made sense so far. "Do we really give that vibe?" Jira asked with a sort of unsure face, then glanced at Vera, who in turn just shrugs with a tilted head. "Mmmm'' more of contractors." "Ya''ll are still fucking mercenaries." I reply looking at the two, not only have I been abducted in every meaning of the word, but I was nicked by mercenaries of all things. God damn alien mercenaries. Though, in the realm of possibility, I''m most likely not the first in history. It''d be of the utmost stupidity to think I''m an only case. "I wonder if something like the MIB is making rounds..." Psycho thought randomly, straying over to yesterday. None pertaining as it was, it is actually a valid curiosity. I close my eyes while tilting my head forward, index and middle fingers of my left hand rubbing between my eyebrows in irritation. "Fuuuuucking great..." I somewhat quietly groaned. This just brightened my situation... "Ehhhh, silver lining, there''s a lot of eye candy." Psycho... I thought in a tired voice. Shut the fuck up. "So um...do you still want to look at engineering?" Jira asked tentatively after a few moments. If ever I try to escape. The possibility alone is miniscule, let alone getting a feasible plan. Planning alone is going to be atrociously difficult, since I''ve never been the planner in my friend group. Though, this is a train of thought for another time. So, with a long sigh I reply. "Might as fucking well." I sighed with a sort of exasperation. Jira claps her hands together with a apologetic smile. "Okay, this way then." She says taking a few steps before stopping mid step, she spun around sturnly pointing at Vera. "Tissara Folgra, no stalking the human. Got it?" "Alright."Tissara said dismissively with an equal smirk. "I mean it," Jira added with a shake of her finger. "this foot will find your ass, so help me." That last bit amused me. The vixen then brought up her hands in a surrender. "I get it, I get it. Talk to you later." Vera said then began walking away, as she passed me though, she patted my shoulder as she added a little more sultry. "Definitely talk to you sometime, sweetheart." I had a mixed expression, not entirely sure how to take that. Through that time, Psycho was using my peripheral vision to do some major ogling, loving the somewhat more humanoid body. As soon asTissara was far enough, Jira sighed. "Sorry about her, she''s...gods how do I put this..." "Sort of invasive? Likes to lurk a bit much? Get''s too in her occupation?" I list off, trying to help her. As I did this, my paranoia engine just got an injection of nos. Dear god the the things coming to mind... "I, um...yeah...yeah, we''ll go with that... She can be difficult, but she''s great at what she does." Jira said, ears drooping and tone appearing tired again. Seconds later she realizes she''s holding my soda, in turn looking at it then to me. "Do...you mind if I have drink?" She asks while pointing at it. I stare at her with a deadpan look for a moment, afterward rolling my eyes while waving her off an okay. After she takes said drink she gives the soft drink a sort of bewildered look. "Wow. Damn, that''s dangerous. ...Wonder if this will go good with some of that Captain Morgan..." The Arcanine morph said with surprise, then trailed off. "Ay." I sounded, bringing back Jira to the current task. "Hm? Oh, oh, sorry. Yes, uh let''s go." Jira spoke, coming back to the moment, she handed back my drink, in which I wiped the rim with my shirt as we began walking again. I was beginning to wonder how she became captain and why. It was somewhat comforting how laidback she seemed, if though a bit odd. Granted, I''d rather deal with a welcoming and leisurely captain than an hard and irritable sort. The former so much easier to deal with and reason, I''d dare say she''d be the type if I''d poke fun, she''d poke back with a smile. A while later a few small conversations and about three and a half roughly three minute songs later we made it to engineering, well, more likely in this case the area of engine techs it was a fairly large chamber housing a engine core that looked like a cross of the ezo engine of Mass effect 2 and a sort of fusion reactor with a dash of something else I couldn''t place. With seeing this I made a hum of interest, I felt like looking around even. It all just seemed so fascinating to me. As my vision washed over the electronics, I noticed someone approaching to my right, as soon as I glanced over, I saw a bipedal dragon like woman, skin colored pale faded yellow and darkened tan. A well toned body with a fat tail trailing behind as long as she is tall, two heads above me at that, among the things I saw with the tight fit clothing with what seemingly looked like yoga pants colored black and pink with a black top, one thing that stuck out besides her pleasant to look upon draconic features and white hair. Her eyes, curious eyes colored a beautiful cyan that practically glowed, with dark reddish pink pupils that dotted the center of each orb. To accentuate those eyes was a sort of masquira that was a few shades lighter than her pupils, with that I also saw a trio of freckles under her left eye. On her long neck was going with the color theme, a pink choker adorned her collem, aside from her casual wear. I saw a wrist device I noticed most of the crew has, though, this one seemed somewhat modified, entirely likely for the work she does in the engine room as I''d probably start calling this area. And with the final items of notice were a sort of electrician utility belt one would see at Home Depot loosely gripping her hips, sagging to her left side. And a pair of what appears to be tinted safety goggles hung around her neck that looked like some sort of custom Dewalt product.
And here I am feeling like a midget... I thought as I actually had to look up to her face, it was like meeting my mom''s friend High Tower and walking past this one kid I''d see in the hallway at school that seemed part street light, she casually waved at Jira with her approach. "Fuck melons, this bitch''s legs could crush rib cages like that one chick from Octopussy!" Psycho noted kind of intimidated. Fucking seriously... I was right there with him. She screamed don''t piss me off just looking at her. I was pretty sure that tail of her''s could break me in half in one swing, though, that could be a false positive in that regard, she might be able to sit with it entertainingly enough. "What''s up Jira, making the rounds? Or are you just showing our newly acquired human around?" The debatably lizard or dragon woman asked with a pleasant sounding gruff voice that had a sort of boston accent, then nodded to me. "Guess kind of both, he wanted to see where everything is while he stays on so he''ll have some bearings." "You sure that''s a good Idea?" The most likely engineer said with a note of concern. I took parcial offence. "The fuck am I gonna do? I''m an out of shape nineteen year old on a ship of creatures of wild abilities!! The actual fuck am I gonna do?!" I blurt out incredulously with side stretched arms and equally incredulous expression. The least vertically challenged of this interaction stared at me sort of stunned. She looked me up and down. Trying to find things unknown to me. "You don''t seem that out of shape-...I see now." She said, midway I partially turned while I cupped the underside of my belly, doing away with the deception I have with my comfort fit shirt. She looked at said belly with a note of surprise. "Huh." She sounded with understandance. "Okay, I stand corrected." "Yeah." I agreed with a slight edge of indignance. Though, I was giving a front to my level of possible threat to help mitigate suspicion, granted I was a little miffed from her comment. I did genuinely need to make personal ''landmarks'' so I can find my way around and not just rely on the what I''m gonna dub the sps, kind of like gps but more centralized to inside the ship. On that thought, it''d probably still function as the regular system and be used on things like shore leave and such the like... Contemplation for a different time. "Okay, Will. It''s going to be imperative that you start working out. Your normal level of energy for high active movement is not going to be anywhere to bare minimum of sufficient with our stay here." Nein scheisse arschloch. I retort the voice of logic in german. I''ve been excruciatingly aware of this, I just never had the money or the ambition... "The better in shape you are, the longer you''ll last...In both ways." Psycho added with a grinning tone at the end. "And separate thought...we''re at the perfect height that if she hu-" Psycho began before subsequently being DiNozzo''d. "Aah! God damn sons a bitching-" "Shut yer shit-caster." Said sternly the voice of majority reason vote. Psycho meanwhile quieted into grumbling from his logical halve''s reprimanding. He just couldn''t have his usual fun since the main body here got abducted. It''s really been frustrating the voice of perversion and violence. I began laughing inward when I heard Vlad''s silencing reply, oh I was gonna need to use that one later. I quickly realized I was staring off for a moment when Jira said my name, my head lightly twitched left and right as I blinked a few times. I looked at Jira with a curious look and raised brow. "You alright there?" Took me only a second to process. "Yeah, just spacing out a bit. Sorry ''bout that." I reply languidly. "It''s fine I call you Will right?" The white haired possible dragon woman asked, I give her a ''it''s fine'' sort of nod and expression. "You can call me Royce, main gal of this little operation." She says with a smile showing some pride. "Heard your a techy kind of guy. If you want, I could show you around the area. I''m sure some of the ladies in here would like to meet a human." That certain smile of hers at the end didn''t escape me, igniting a twinge of suspicion, given that, I was interested in having a gander around. "Fuck it, why not." I reply, a small tone of interest. Let''s indulge my love of tech. "Guess I''ll see you in a bit." Jira said before checking a device she fished out of a pocket. "Shoot me a message when you guys are done." She said in a little more of a friendly tone before she began to leave. "Will do J." Royce replied with a half smile, she then looks down at me. "Ready for our little adventure in engineering, little buddy?" She says in a more of a humorous tone trying to seem a little more friendly. I took exception at being called ''little buddy''. "Oi." "Hahah, sorry, habit of mine when I meet people smaller than me." Royce apologized with more of a smile now. "Cheeky dick." I say amusedly back. She just smiled more with another small laugh. "Oh we''re gonna get along just fine." Royce says while patting my shoulder. A moment later I was following her down the stairs as we idly chatted.
