 No One Came

    Jack was preparing his Halloween costume.


    "Yo jack!"his dad''s friend Tom who took care of him since jack was ten ran in, he was wearing a werewolf costume.


    "Tom! I told you to shave look at yourself!" He said smiling.

    They both gave each other cold glares.


    It was a whole minute of pure silence before they both laughed.

    "The cemetery in our neighborhood." he replied smiling.

    "Ok!"jack passed by the tree and heard weird whispering "Huh ?"he looked at the tree then chuckled and went to an old shack, he quickly changed to his scarecrow costume and went out.


    "Ladies and gentlemen introducing scarecrow jack!" Jim said as jack got out and they all started clapping.


    Jack bowed smiling, "Is everyone prepared ?" he asked.


    "Yes we are!"Jim answered.


    "Good! let''s go!"Jack went to his position so did everyone else to prepare themselves to jump scare people.


    As jack passed by the tree he heard whispering again. "Guys did you hear that !?"


    "Hear what ?"They got closer and listened.


    "Aw come on Jack we''re supposed to influence people not ourselves!" One of his Friends said carelessly.


    "Heh you''re right"Jack shook his head and went to his position.


    Everything went alright , people got really scared especially of Jack.


    Some barely endured and fainted while others ran out crying.


    It was all fun and play, until midnight came. The last group was passing by jack pulled out a knife Willing to make this one the scariest by having real danger.


    He jumped on top of the grave then jumped from it at them waving his knife but remained careful to not cause real harm.


    "HAHA FINALLY I''LL BE FREE!" The ground trembled, and the roots of the tree grew and went out of the ground grabbing them all.


    Everyone tried to escape, but failed.


    Jack ran straight at it gripping his knife tight, the tree laughed and launched a sharp leaf at his heart which went through him.


    Jack fell dead, everyone started crying and begging for their lives.


    "Your acts will never pass without consequences! I should actually thank you all if it wasn''t for the fear you guys gathered It could''ve been impossible for me to escape, as a thank you I''ll use your souls in my new body!" The tree crushed everyone and dragged them underground keeping jack.


    "Fearless...scary and...his father... What a perfect combination" the tree turned to ashes and Jack woke up again.


    He gasped and stood up and took a look around.


    "What happened ?" His memories were changed.


    He remembered coming to see everyone, he was very excited he already wore the costume...


    But no one came.


    He walked away looking down "Not again...even my friends can''t be trusted..."he teared up and ran out.

    His heart stopped beating.

    The next day


    Jack woke up and held his head "Ugh my head"he got out of bed and looked at the alarm clock, it was broken into  pieces "What Happened?" He went to Tom who looked worried about something,"what''s up tom ?" He asked.


    "I have good news and bad news." Tom said putting on a serious face.


    "Start with the good one."Jack yawned and opened the fridge looking for something to eat.


    "You don''t have school today!"


    He smiled,"You just made my day before it even starts."


    "Yea...but the bad news is... there''s a psycho killer running after midnight killing people, his killing spree started last night it was a total of 12 people all adults."


    "That is weird, I was up yesterday and didn''t see anything." Jack said confused.


    "Then you must be lucky,"Tom smiled."look at the time ! I have to go to work !"Tom rushed to the door.

    " You are still in your costume." Jack said trying not to laugh.

    "Hmm this is weird..."he went to his room and tried to get off the costume but it was stuck, he had a black jacket with two long red stripes, he always wore it, he also wore black pants, they were rather comfortable and didn''t have any effect in his movement.


    Jack looked around then at his clothes "that''s weird..."he smiled and went to his room then rushed to his closet.


    "Don''t forget your sword killer!" He could hear someone speak, Jack froze.

    "Shut up!"he grabbed the sword from the corner of the room.

    "Okay ?"Jack read it and blinked slowly after.


    "Let''s start with a simple level one... DRAGON !" Jack jumped back looking around,"is this a joke or something ?" He felt the ground shaking then a dragon As big as the arena eats him.


    Jack screamed terrified then stops hearing loud laughter.


    He opened one eye noticing he is sitting on a chair "What ?"he looked around confused, his eyes quickly darted at the man with blue skin, white beard, a sword instead of left hand, an artificial right leg and a Viking hat, he was really large and muscular. he laughed really loud "This prank is one of the few things that makes my task fun." he laughed so hard it shook the ground."if you only saw the expression on your face oh wait here it is !" He pressed a button and a picture of Jack screaming appeared.


    Jack glared at him "Hey!" He stood up and went to him "Who are you ?! And how dare you make fun of me ?!"


    The man went serious and grabbed jack from his leg then lift him up"I''m thunder , one of the greatest men this place has." He dropped jack.


    Jack stood up,"Thunder?".


    "Yes I''m very fa-".


    "Never heard of you"Jack dusted off his clothes.


    "That''s because you''re new and your first match will start tomorrow. And you''re going to fight that!" He pointed at a guy who controlled electricity, he easily destroyed ten targets with one strike.


    Jack gulped "Isn''t there a level one or something ?".


    "This is level one ! Now go ten times around this whole room !".


    "But-".


    "Now !" Thunder grabbed jack and threw him to the other part of the room "And to give you a little motivation." His artificial leg turned to a gun and he used it to shot at jack.


    Jack yelped and started running really fast.


    "FASTER !" he launched a small seeking rocket at him.


    "Need some help ?" The voice in Jack''s head asked laughing.


    "Y-yes.."jack said starting to get tired and the rocket was catching up.


    "Well here it is idiot please die soon !" The voice huffed.


    Jack suddenly became really fast he ran twenty times around the room then grabbed the rocket and threw out "Wow ! What is this feeling ?!" He looked at his legs which were moving in incredible speed.


    "Power ! but your body isn''t ready for more so for now speed is enough".


    "Whatever ! I''m ready for anything !" Jack said confidentiality.


    "Really ?"Thunder raised a brow and crossed his arms a smirk on his face.


    Jack nodded still confident in his speed.


    "Okay I''ll just go now " Thunder walked away then out of nowhere thunder tackled jack down crushing him.


    "Get off me you''re too heavy !"jack tried lifting him off.


    "I thought you can do anything ! Oh and all those are muscles try getting some !" Thunder laughed and got off him " another important rule is do not be so arrogant or else you''ll end up losing and you won''t have any friends here. This is a place where you can''t live alone now for another training !" He gave jack a sword then threw him away to a group of dummies with a bag tied to each one.


    "I know what to do !"He stabbed the dummy quickly but got electrocuted. "Ouch !"


    "You''re dumber than the dummies! And you are very impatient."Thunder sighed putting a hand on his forehead.


    "Dummies are for hitting ! It is common sense!".


    "Not in my training schedule! You''ll have to cut the wires then the dummies will become powerless just like your opponent!''''.


    "I see." jack smiled a bit.


    "And one last thing to make things more interesting cut all the wires in one minute or you fail.".


    The timer started, jack quickly cut the wires of the first dummy then headed to the others, the dummies started rotating quickly,"Ok ok..fast and accurate" he took a deep breath then started cutting the wires of the dummies fast , there was tons of them but Jack skillfully did the task.


    "Who''s that guy?" A guy with a scythe asked Thunder.


    "He''s the new guy"Thunder answered


    "Looks decent.." Jack missed one and got electrocuted.


    "Stop saying good things you''ll jinx them in a second!" he looked at jack seeing he finished and still had two seconds.


    "Are we done ?"Jack asked panting.


    "Of course ! We''re done from two, one hundred left !"


    "Oh no..."jack fell down exhausted.

 Blood And Hope

    "It''s really difficult to just watch them all die... Battery boy, energetic helpful but"


    "Nervous nervous nervous nervous nervous!!!" Jack ran around in his room trying to calm down.


    "Hel- you look nervous" Thunder looked at him.


    "Oh ? You noticed ?"jack looked confused but then looked around seeing that he walked on every single part of the room including the ceiling, walls and furniture.


    "It''s hard not to. Anyway no need for you to worry if you lose you have two more chances!" Thunder walked away.


    "Thanks th- wait...What did he mean by two chances"he sat down curious about it "maybe " before he could think of something jack was teleported into the middle of the arena, he looked in front of him seeing his opponent L.


    L looked slightly younger than Jack , he was shorter than him and had electric blue eyes and hair. Something was attached to his back with many Wires connected to his armor.


    Jack looked at his hands and panicked seeing that they forgot to give him a weapon.


    "What to do what to do ?" He looked at the giant screen which was counting down. He had thirty seconds to get ready.


    Jack took a deep breath and tried to calm down.

    "You''re not the one who is going to die!" Jack tried to glare but found no one to glare on.

    Jack looked at him terrified for a few seconds then dodged his attack making L hit the wall instead.


    Jack sighed and kept dodging L''s electric attacks. It was either his metal gloves filled with electricity or trying to hit him with an electric bullet.


    L growled and hit the ground sending a charge through it.


    Jack jumped and started running on the walls , the crowd watched amazed and cheered for him.


    Then he got a chance L''s hands were both stuck in ground , Jack ran fast to him them grabbed the biggest wire and pulled it off.


    "No!" L screamed as his own power damaged him, he was being electrocuted to death.


    Finally his heart stopped and he died.


    Jack looked up at the screen seeing the following.


    Jack killer won !


    He smiled proudly But his smiled turned to a frown when he saw what happened next.


    L (battery boy) lost! chances left:none.


    L''s body was dragged away and thrown in a dark pit.


    The closest door to jack opened,so he went outside it.


    "Hey good job buddy !" Thunder smiled at him.


    "Why didn''t you tell me ?!" He tried punching him but Thunder grabbed his fist.


    "Tell you what ?" Thunder asked.


    "That this is a life or death game!" He growled and tried punching him with the other hand, but same thing happened.


    "Because you already were nervous and if I told you . You wouldn''t have done that!"


    "Exactly!" Jack ran away trying not to cry.


    "Should I get him ?" The boy with the scythe asked. He was standing near thunder.


    "No give him sometime to calm down. We all went through this phase.." thunder sighed.


    Jack ran away tearing up a little "I can''t believe it. I escaped here to not be a killer but I ended up being one" he bumped into a girl.


    "Hey! Watch where you''re going!" The girl said and glared at him, she had beautiful green eyes,black hair, slim body and artificial hands, they were both made out of metal and the fingers were more like claws.


    "Oh I''m really sorry" he looked at her eyes widening seeing her  hands.


    "What are you staring it ?!"she huffed and looked offended.


    "No! It''s the first time I see something like this!" He tried not to make it worse.


    "Good ! And you better not comment about it or it will be the last thing you see!" She threw him away.


    "Ow !" Jack hit the stone wall and looked at it "Huh ?" He saw some writings on the wall.


    He wiped away the dust and tried to read it but the hand writing was horrible.


    "This hand writing"he gasped remembering something.

    Jack''s POV


    I read the writings on the wall that says ''I was here Jack and I wish I didn''t. 284 mistakes and only one thing right happened''


    I walk away confused but full of hope. So my father was really here . It''s good to know I''m not wasting my time and effort.


    I wonder around the place, it''s mostly metallic walls with blue lamps above Lighting the way, while wandering around I see thunder.


    I go over to him and apologies about getting angry at him. It''s not his fault I''m here anyway, the man was just trying to help.


    "It''s ok buddy I understand !" He smiles at me and pats my back strongly knocking me down.


    "O-ok..." I stand up again.


    "Do you know that you can go out of here " he asks me m

    I jump on bed and quickly fall asleep excited to go back.


    I wake up again after what I suppose is half an hour, but...Wrong ! I looked out of the window then at my clock it was morning again and of the next day ! I''m so late for school .


    I use my super speed and prepare myself fast.


    I run really fast to school forgetting to eat breakfast and barely reach at time.


    "That was close" I smiled and walk in school which I reached in only five minutes.

    I stand up again and sit down again looking at the teacher bored.

    "Not so fast jack !" His friends grab me and push me down I close my eyes hopping it won''t be bad but suddenly I heard screaming, I opened my eyes seeing that I''m on fire.


    The bullies were badly harmed and burned.


    The girl runs at me and grabs me "what are you doing !?" She dragged me away out of sight


    I close my eyes and the fire goes away.


    "Explain yourself !"she growls at me.


    "I couldn''t control it ! I was so angry I just couldn''t !" I tried moving away but I was stuck in her metal grip.


    "Try controlling your self ! Ok ?! " She sighed and calmed down.


    I move away from her as fast as possible and go home.

    "I can''t I can''t I can''t..."I keep staring at the wall trying not to fall asleep. I don''t want to go back. I don''t want to kill another person.

    "Faster than me ?" Jack asked looking for his opponent.


    "There"thunder grabbed his head and tilted it towards a guy with purple hair and black eyes, there was a red glowing scar on his left eye, his weapons were two sharp blades wrapped around his hands, he closed his eyes for a bit and in a blink all the targets in front of him got teared into little shreds.


    "You sure...This is level one ?!" Jack asked.


    "Yes now start trai-"


    "Yo thunder some new guys are desperate and need real help !" The guy with scythe yelled.


    "What about this mess I have here" thunder pointed at jack.


    "Hey !" Jack crossed his arms offended.


    "I''ll take care of this" he smiled.


    "Okay"thunder walked away.

    Jack shot a fire ball at D knocking him down "forget your own rule ?" Jack smirked and walked away.


    D growled and stood up.


    "Wow this place is huge "Jack was walking around exploring the place, as he was walking a red crystal on the wall started glowing bright red "what is this ?" Jack touched the crystal and a door to a lower floor appeared "I didn''t know there''s floors here" he walked down curiously and the moment he reached the door closed and locked. "WHAT ?!" Jack shoot the door with a fireball but it remained unscratched, "guess I''ll have to keep walking" he looked in front of him, it was only darkness but he kept walking knowing there''s no other way .


    While he was walking he bump into a wall "ow ! Guess it a turn" writings on the wall appeared it was in red.

    Jack shook his head "wait a minute...Were these written by...My mother ?" He touched them but nothing happened "weird.." he looked at purple writing.


    He went to it confused since the two writings before were red.

    He took a few steps to the source of the sound suddenly a person leaped out of the shadows attacking him, his face was deadly pale, some purple substance was leaking out of his eyes and mouth glowing in the darkness, his clothes looked torn and old.


    Jack punched it hard in the face.


    The human bit his arm leaving purple bite mark, Jack gasped and held his arm in pain.


    The human attacked again, Jack dodged and kicked it in the back and darted the opposite way.


    '' what are you doing you coward go back and fight !'' the voice in his head yelled.


    "Go fight it yourself ! I''m not touching that thing again !" He kept running, ignoring all the writings on the wall.


    '' maybe you should read one ?'' the voice suggested.


    "Maybe you should shut the-" he bumped into a wall and a big writing appeared that said ''dead end''


    "Seriously ?!" Jack groaned.


    '' told ya !'' the voice laughed.


    Jack looked behind him at the thing, it was in front of him.

    Jack shook his head and looked around "I got an idea... Hope it works" he lied down on the ground closing his eyes slowly, he fell asleep and woke up.

    Jack woke up in a house, he looked around and heard a kid screaming.


    He ran to the kitchen and saw a man hitting his son, he growled and tackled the man down.


    The man pushed him away "who are you ?!" He grabbed a gun and aimed it at him.


    "You''re worst nightmare" Jack glared at him.


    The man shoot Jack in the heart.


    "Wrong" Jack grabbed a knife and stabbed the man in the stomach.


    '' yes now rip out his heart and eat it !''


    Jack cut the man''s stomach open and ate his heart.


    The kid cried making Jack snap out of it "huh ?! Oh no not again ?!"he panicked and ran out of the house, he glanced at the house seeing that he''s not in his neighbourhood.


    He ran around searching for something familiar so he can find his way back home "come on anything" he searched fast.

    "C-Cody ?"Rose ran towards him and sat down "are you alright"


    "Leave me alone..I''ll just hurt you...I mess up everything"Cody looked away ashamed of himself.


    "N-no way Cody ! I''m sure you can stop this !"Rose said trying to encourage him.


    "I...I don''t know.."Cody sniffed wiping away his tears.


    "Cody M-MOVE AWAY !" She pushed away her brother from the dragon''s hand, the dragon grabbed her then sniffed her it growled feeling her magic and threw her away.


    Cody gasped and was quickly in air grabbing her "sis are you alright ?!" He asked worried.


    "I''m alright..Cody..S-stop it.."Rose mumbled before fainting.


    Cody floated down putting his sister in the ground gently, he looked up at the dragon, his powers were increasing dramatically.


    The dragon breathed it''s black fires at the boy, a bubble Shield formed around Cody blocking the fire, he started building up energy then made the bubble disappear when he charged enough.


    The dragon leaped onto the air purple energy forming in its mouth, ''DIE!'' they both thought blasting huge beams on each other, the ground were Cody was standing started cracking and black clouds were forming around the dragon.


    Cody jumped away as the purple beam destroyed the ground.


    Cody flew in the air then charged at the dragon with full speed, the dragon tried shooting but it was ineffective Cody kept reflecting the fire balls away.


    It moved it''s wings together forming a bubble shield like Cody did but Cody went through it and punched the dragon in the heart "f-for you Rose..."He closed his eyes darkness slowly engulfing him "FOR EVERYONE !" He yelled exploding making the dragon explode too, gold and black smokes spread across the city as people started coming back and checking it.


    "Cody !"Rose woke up scared then searched for her brother across the city "Cody where are you ?!"she frowned and looked down "no...He...He.."she sniffed trying to hold her tears but quickly started crying a few seconds after.


    "Rose where is Cody ?!" Her father looked at her then frowned "no.."


    All adults looked down feeling bad, the kids looked confused and asked what''s wrong.


    "We all knew what''s outside the wall...We were just too scared to see... Too scared to be judged..Too scared of..Of everything...That creature is what we created made from our own fear of the outside, without Cody.. we could''ve all been trapped there forever..."Everyone just stood there staying silent, every time Cody tried to explore something he was yelled at, they felt sad and ashamed by the fact that the one they always were irritated by his adventurous spirit was the one who gave then freedom, was the one who opened them greater limits was the one who saved them from their own fear.


    Rose got the golden flower she wanted to plant outside and then went to the hill she and her brother liked to go to and plant it there "for you Cody.."she sat down and cried for hours before her father went to her and got her back home.

    "ugh what happened Jack ?"Petal tiredly came out of Jack''s pocket and looked at him,"Jack ?!"he looked around and they were falling down quickly, the flower panicked then his golden petals started glowing brightly revealing what was hidden behind the darkness, he quickly extended his roots at the nearest platform and managed to Drag Jack along,"wake up flame head !"petal slapped jack with a leaf.


    Jack groaned and turned to his side, he was greatly hurt during the battle with Thunder, he decided to go easy and try to talk to thunder during the battle to find a solution but Thunder didn''t reply, he attacked Jack with blind fury like if they were enemies, "snooze"he pressed Petal''s head roughly,"I''m not an alarm clock you idiot !"the flower''s petals turned blue, Petal took a deep breath then spit out cold water in Jack''s face making him jump up startled,"why did you wake me up ?!"he looked around examining his surrounding,"where are we ?"


    "I don''t know ! Now shut up, pick me up, check your gear and let''s find out !"


    Jack stood up exhausted then roughly grabbed Petal from the stem and shoved him in his pocket, "well..Thunder broke one of my swords but I still have the other" Jack said examining his sword, it was slightly shorter than the one before it but he had two in case he lost one or he just needed an extra blade,"good thing I made two when we both went to a thief hide out for ''training'', speaking about that why did you make me eat hearts back then ?"Jack looked at his flower frenemy, despite hating petal for killing him he can''t deny he is a help and in the arena he is one of the few Jack can trust.


    "well...when I killed you I shoot you in the heart right ? I Can''t produce sufficient energy for great spells or a better body so I steal from other, under my domination it''s the same case for you..to stay alive your heart needs to beat..but you can''t do that so you have to steal it from others"Petal explained.


    Jack nodded slowly and looked at the only way they had,a single door leading to the unknown, with no other choice Jack walks in heating up to light his path, the inside wasn''t a single path.


    It was similar to a maze full of weird devices and drawings but for the first few moments free of unpleasant encounters.


    But, the peace didn''t last, Jack looked at a metallic box with a dangerous sign and Another ''top secret'' one.


    Petal moved his stem up and looked at the signs then Jack,"what should we do ?"He asked peeling his eyes.


    "We take a distance" Jack moved back a couple of steps them shoot a fireball at the lock of the chest, the chest smashed open and from it came a deformed version of lightning, Jack''s first opponent, "that guy looks familiar" Petal exclaimed.


    "That''s because it''s Lighting the first guy we fought !"Jack said jumping out of the way of a laser ray, Lightning looked better on the gear but horrible on the human side, whereas his gear was an upgraded better version of his last one his skin was pale as dead and his eyes looked lifeless, a weird liquid was coming out of his mouth and wounds.


    Soon the mutant''s gear reshaped giving him guns on the shoulders which he used to shoot Jack with electrified bullets, Jack swiftly dodged knowing that blocking with his metallic sword is not a wise option, he relied on dodging while searching for an opening in Lightning''s armor but found none, "hey let me go ! I can help" Petal said popping his head out of Jack''s pocket,"guess there''s no other option"Jack took out Petal and threw him near Lightning''s foot.

Petal asked, "I don''t know what was that but it sure wasn''t lightning"Jack panted and kept wondering through the Maze hoping the thing from earlier got lost too, it was only minutes till he met with another mutant, it was wielding an ice spear taking a defensive stance he recognized it as one of Jade''s previous opponents,"I can handle this by myself" Jack smiled and got quickly close to the mutant, it froze the ground then prepared the spear, Jack didn''t stop and slide on the ice moving away from the spear getting a small wound on the chest but not a little close to being impaled, he grabbed the spear with his left hand trying to endure the freezing cold effect of the spear then stabbed the mutant right in the head killing it, he cut it open to make sure it dies and felt disgusted by the scene, it wasn''t a human on the inside either, it was connected with many electric devices and some organs are manipulated beyond recognition, "this is just..no...just horrible..."Jack mumbled and moved away from the corpse trying to think straight,he soon covered his nose almost through up from the horrible smell of chemicals,"ugh.. whatever is happening there I''m sure it''s the explanation to this" he forced himself to follow the smell, he was unsure in the beginning but then having multiple encounters with old mutated opponents in addition to some robots he knew the security sure wasn''t for something normal.


    The door was locked with a code so Jack jumped in the air vents and sneaked into what appeared to be a lab, his eyes widened seeing Vale dead and tied to a table, there was many scientists doing horrible experiments on people from the arena, one thing common for them all, they all lost.


    They suddenly stopped as the arena owner walked in, he was a shadowy figure with everything black and not showing except for glowing red eyes, the scientists were too nervous to work and hardly were able to talk to the arena owner lowering their head every time he passes by or looks at someone, he really was a feared person.


    Jack got closer to listen to a conversation with the owner and the only scientist who didn''t look as afraid as the others.


    "How''s the prison ?"The owner asked in a calm but scary voice, it echoed through the lab giving everyone the chills.


    "E-e-e-excellent ! There''s no way Ghost could escape !" The scientist smiled with worry trying to keep a confident look.


    "Good...and if he escapes... I''ll kill you even after he does !"with that the owner disappeared and the one he was talking to couldn''t but shiver.


    "Here''s my chance...my only chance"Jack smashed down through the air vent after making sure the owner completely left, a huge portal with many warning signs on caught his attention, "this must be it !"he swiftly rushed not even trying to dodge anymore, he didn''t feel pain anymore as his goal was straight in front of him, it was what he killed for in the first place,his reason to fight, All scientist were trying their best to stop him, releasing mutants, robots and trying to shoot him down with guns they made.


    Jack collapsed a few steps near and was trying to crawl his way to the machine, his vision was blurry, his breathing hitched, he was getting more injured every minute not to mention he already got injured in the fights before.


    He slowly started closing his eyes, petal was trying his best to push away danger and keep Jack awake, he stopped when Jack grabbed him.


    And with the last bit of strength he has Jack threw Petal at the portal''s control, then fainted.

 Ghost

    "ugh what happened ?"Jack slowly opened his eyes and tried to sit up, "easy kid you''ve been fainted for two days straight." Thunder gently made him lie back down.


    "Two days ? What...how ? Why did you attack me ?"Jack asked and shook his head.


    "brain washing, how do you think they keep the mutants from attacking the scientists" Thunder sighed then turned to Tom,"you already know so whatever....the good thing is now you''re ''dead'' you can finally sleep peacefully"Tom smiled.


    "Who brought me here ? and if you were brain washed what got you out of it ?"Jack asked more questions.


    Thunder took a deep breath before answering with one word,"Ghost"


    "Dad ?! Where is he ?!"Jack looked around quickly.


    "not here...he wanted me to give you this" Tom gave Jack a paper.


    Jack opened the paper and inside it was a video tape, he went to the living room and then watches the video, it was filmed by a security camera at the same date Jack''s parents disappeared.


    The first one was Ghost coming in a lab full of people,one of them greats Ghost and thanks him for coming, Ghost quickly goes to a huge machine, a portal and checks over it quickly. some time later he fixes some mistakes then turns it on, the destination seems unclear they throw a test dummy with a camera on its head, the scientists look displeased then pull the dummy back and it appears to be really damaged and old. they try changing the destination but it''s always the same place, suddenly the electricity goes on and off so does the camera, it shows a few scenes each time.


    A group of dead scientists, Ghost trying to fight a shadowy figure then.. Jack looks shocked seeing the figure grabbing his mother and putting a blade on her neck, Ghost looks down and gets in the portal, then the figure kills her.


    Jack slowly looked back at the paper and read it ''I''m sorry I can''t vis- bec- my s- I can''t be there.. f-'' half of the letters were unclear it wasn''t the hand writing, it was as if they were moving and sometimes even disappear.


    Jack burnt it and threw the ashes away,"I don''t even need to read to know what he''s going to say...as always.."


    "Calm down Jack..we don''t know what his state is.."


    Jack sighed,"it''s alright.. I''ve gotten used to it..to the fact that I''m never going to see Ghost again.."he got off the couch then went out of the house.


    It was late at night.


    Jack looked at his clothes, the Jacket he was wearing was torn off and had many holes Because of the bullets," whatever it''s just a jacket anyway" he threw it on the ground but someone caught it, "a jacket gifted to you by your father"D said holding the Jacket.


    "Exactly..meaningless"Jack shrugged.


    "I know you''re sad...I can see the anger burning inside you.."D tried to get closer.


    Jack went up in flames,"exactly ! And if you get a step closer you''ll be roasted !"


    "It''s not like I want to talk to you but Jade seems sad from the day you disappeared and whatever you did..fix it"D grabbed Jack then quickly teleported to his house letting go as soon as they got there.


    "I didn''t do anything ! And stop taking me wherever you want without my permission !"Jack walked to the door angrily,"oh and I don''t care about what happens to you or your sister ! Just leave me alone !"he ran out slamming the door shut behind him.


    "W-who was it ?"Jade walked out of her room sleepily.


    "it''s nothing, go back to sleep" D sighed.


    "I can''t...I can''t sleep... Guilt is killing me...if only he didn''t lose to me.. he would have a third fight and maybe win it.."Jade looked down.


    "And what if he lost, Remember in sudden death round ?     "Just kidding Teddy, I can fix it for you, probably tomorrow when I get back from school"she put the jacket away then went back to her room.


    The next day


    "You''re alive ?! Why didn''t you tell me ?!"Jade asked Jack while walking to school with him.


    "I was fainted the last two days, and why do you always walk with me to school ?"Jack asked.


    Jade blushed slightly then looked away and answered,"it''s either you or nothing..it was a hard choice but then I realized zero is still a zero, hey where''s your stupid jacket you''re always wearing it even in fights"Jade asked.


    Jack sighed,"laundry, why would you care anyway ?!"Jack walked faster trying to avoid her.


    "Ouch, I was just trying to have a normal talk with my neighbor for once, ya know...I like annoying you, that face you make...it reminds me of someone"


    "Sorry... First I''m just not in the mood second I don''t know...your hands remind me of something as well.."Jack shrugged


    "I guess it''s alright, you escaped from certain death..but how ? No one ever escaped".


    "one not two"Jack smiled.


    "Two ? Who''s the other ?"


    "I guess my flower friend wasn''t as useless as I thought he is"Jack shrugged.


    "What was there ? What did you face ?"Jade asked feeling excited.


    "Nothing I want to talk about..I don''t have time either, look we''re already there"Jack smiled but then frowned thinking about Petal, he hadn''t seen him since they were in that lab.


    Jack''s POV


    Where is that weed ? I always push him away from me but now I''m worried, I can''t believe what I''m saying this but I really hope I see his  flower face last time I''ve seen him he was in that lab but we both gets teleported if one sleeps..after I think of it that lab looked familiar..it was the one I''ve seen in the video ! There''s no way they would be able to carry the entire portal and reinstall it, so the arena was built above the lab..phew it''s getting really hot in here.


    Even if my powers are fire I think I can still be hurt by them since I am a human, it seems the others are feeling the same thing.


    What''s this feeling ? I felt this in the arena before a huge amount of energy a group of people having magical powers coming...now !


    The door smashed open and two masked men come in the classroom, they aimed what looked like guns at the students threatening to shoot if anyone moves, I see Jade eager to attack but she can''t while defenseless people are around.


    Not a minute later a single man that looks stronger than the others walk in, surely their leader since they called him <u>boss</u>.


    He points at me then motions me to come with him.


    I don''t want to... ugh but what other choice do I have ?


    I follow him out of class and through the hall, once we''re out I try blasting him with fire...but his skin absorbs it okay so he has flame resistant not a problem I try physical force...ouch that could''ve gone better. I soon give up after multiple attempts, the man doesn''t even seem to be shaken.


    It''s not fair though...he has two guns, a whip and armor with mask, and I don''t even have a knife,"so where are we going ?"he ignored me, "consider it a death wish mister..bash ?"I look closer at the mask it has his name on it


    "Oh well I''m feeling generous today, that arena dude wants us to make sure you''re dead,and he want to watch you die to make sure it''s all real I don''t blame him though we''re untrustable" Bash laughs..and I thought Petal''s voice was annoying.


    I let out a sigh and look down...I guess this is the end and again a last minute savior, I look forward and see two fainted guards and a pile of metallic ruble I''m not sure what that used to be it''s destroyed beyond recognition.


    I suddenly feel an even greater energy and its near.


    Focused on one point it''s a single person, I see guards falling down like flies as black energy saws and white energy beams from the sky hitting them away, I then see a..man ?


    After looking again is it even human ? Does it exist or not..? Like those words in the letter he''s.. glitching.


    Bash tries shooting the thing but it dodges easily with a single step each time, with a single hand motion a huge white bean smashes through the roof and hits right next to bash shattering the ground digging three meters down,"next one won''t be a warning shot" that voice...so dark and mysterious yet familiar.


    Bash looks around at his wounded men then yells with the highest voice he can,"RETREAT !"he takes off his Mask then turn to ashes, seconds later the mask disappears as well, his comrades seems to have escaped the same way


    I look at that glitching image and for a moment I catch a glimpse of Ghost, I quickly run to him but he seems worried, a black circle gets drawn on the ground while he''s standing, I quickly get in the circle  and then.. we''re in a different place, I remember this place this is..my father''s lab!

 Petals Origin (part 3)

    Jack looks to the right and sees the figure get into a machine, the machine turns on then minutes later Ghost comes out, he stopped glitching.


    "D-dad ? Is that you what happened to you ?"Jack slowly approached his father.


    Ghost slowly raised his head and smiled weakly,"J-Jack ?"he hugs him really tight, Ghost Is a man in his 40''s, he is really tall and has a grey hair, white right eye and black left eye, he did look like he suffered in that place adding some age to his look, he was wearing a black lab coat which still fits him even after years.


    "What happened to you ? Why were you glitching ?!"Jack asked getting nervous.


    Ghost sat down slowly and explained, "let''s say I went through things no one should ever go through...it hurt me badly.. physically, mentally and even my existence, the only thing that kept me sane was the ability to watch you. I was about to visit you as soon as I got out but I only had time to get you to Tom''s house...I created this machine in about half an hour and even I am surprised it works...I can''t stay Jack..I can barely stay for mere hours before having to go to that machine again...and it''s painful not to mention that using my powers decreases the time left.  I couldn''t stay because I knew I would disappear if I don''t recharge in time..I barely sleep, eat or drink... I have one goal...to find a permanent solution but I guess I can slow down a little now you''re here".


    Jack nodded slowly then asked another question that was worrying him,"hey have you seen petal my flower?"


    "Petal ? Any special details ?" Ghost asked.


    "He is a flower with a face and can talk...I think it''s impossible not to notice him"Jack said grumpily.


    " He''s over there" Ghost pointed at Petal in his pot put on a table, he was reading something, it didn''t look like any human language.


    "What''s that ?"Jack went over to petal,"hey weed what are you reading ?".


    "Hey flame head, I just found out why I can''t read English or any human language Ghost and I found out... I was an alien !"Petal grinned.


    "Whhhh- this explains a lot, but how can you speak English ? "Jack asked and looked at the paper it really was alien language.


    "I think I have some sort of translator I think I was born with it.. not only I understand and speak to humans but sometimes animals.. see this white ring ?"he raised his head showing a white area hidden under his lower petals.


    "Again..this explains a lot"Jack sat down near petal.


    "So petal have you finished translating the last part?"Ghost asked, he has found the writings on the wall of a cave years ago so he copied the exact symbols and put them aside till he finds a clue or a way to translate.


    "Yes... I''m ready to tell the whole story.."Petal took a deep breath and started telling the story.


    It was his own origin but it was summarized not mentioning most of the details but a general list of the important events, many times he would stop and just stare at the wall sometimes saying,"I remember this" and other times,"I did that".


    Then he got to the third part, once again he zoned out, Jack snapped his fingers,"Petal..I know this is weird for you but can you please continue ?".


    Petal stared at Jack surprised.


    "What''s wrong ?"Jack asked.


    Petal teared up his tears were green,"s-sorry It''s just the first time you say please to me... I''m not used for proper treatment, I prefer yelling at each other and trading insults" he smiled then started.

    Rose went To Cody''s grave to water the flowers as usual.


    she was good with plants, except for the way there watering the flowers was nothing to her after all flowers don''t move..well most of them.


    "Where is that golden flower ?! Is everyone golden a pain for me ?!" She huffed and looked for the golden flower, it was the tenth time she came and didn''t see the flower in place,"I knew it was a special one but I didn''t know it was special enough to move !"she suddenly heard a voice,"or cry ?"she followed the voice and looked at the one crying, she couldn''t move an inch feeling shocked of what was in front of her the golden flower she was looking for was right in front of her and it was crying, she slowly approached it and tapped it''s head lightly causing the flower to panic and look at her in fear,"who are you ?! Please don''t hurt me !"the flower covered his head with his leaf scared.


    Rose frowned and kneeled down at the flower and smiled,"it''s alright Flower I promise I won''t hurt you."she extended her hand slowly towards the flower and gently started caressing his petals gently,"you are a unique flower, your petals are so soft yet they are made of metal, they are made of gold"she smiled seeing the flower staring at her hand not showing any signs of fear.


    Rose smiled,"you are so special that you can talk I have never seen a flower that can do that,your face is also cute hehe".


    The flower smiled back and let out a sigh seeing how kind Rose is,"you always come here...I watch you from a distance before allowing you to see me..I thought you are one of those hoomans trying to hurt me"he talked freely as if he already knows her.


    Rose laughed than frowned slightly hearing the word ''hurt'' she looked at him with sad eyes and pet his flower head,"first of all their name is humans, second I don''t believe I am or anyone I know is one of them,oh by the way what''s your name ? Mine is Rose"


    "Umm..I..I don''t have a name..that''s why I was crying I don''t remember who I am...where I am or what I am... I was crying Because I was lost.."


    Rose gasped and remembered her brother, once he was lost when he was young and cried Loudly, luckily Rose found him before he got hurt,"how about I name you Cody ?"She smiled,"and if you''re lost I can take you home till you remember".


    "W-well you do look nice..and the name is great !"Cody (Petal) smiled,"I agree !"


    Rose nodded and gently took him out with his dirt and went over to the village.


    "Wow ! That place is huge !"Cody smiled staring at the village, Rose was up a hill still carrying Petal in her hands.

    The man suddenly looked really angry,"HEY ! NO ONE INSULTS MY MUSTACHE !"


    His wife out a hand on his shoulder and looks at him with caring eyes,"honey..."


    "Y-yes love ?"


    Her expression changes to cold,"the flower is staying now go to sleep.."


    "O-okay.."


    Rose chuckled then carried Cody and put him in a pot close to the window,"hehe thanks mom !"


    "You''re welcome !"she got closer and whispered into Rose''s ear with a terrifying voice,"he better not cause a lot of troubles or else-"


    "Or else what ? M-mom ?".


    "She''s not there"Cody mumbled, he was facing Rose seeing what was behind her,"I saw her face....mom is scary..but seriously who was that man with a horrible mustache ?"


    "That was my father.."Rose said and moved her head close to Cody and did the same scary Face as her mother did,"you better not insult him again".

    "Humans !"a guard yelled, the people felt scared from having contact with humans since the first and only one that happened a long time ago went catastrophic.


    The guards prepared their weapons and spells, the soldiers coming looked at the back for someone to order them, "lower your weapons unfortunately this isn''t a fighting mission" a young voice ordered.

    "What did I say captain ?! No interrupting me ! What I say will happen and nothing else ! Now let me out !" Then stood out from his carriage a prince.


    There were about ten guards with the army leader leading them.


    "Let me do the talk"the villages guard captain went ahead and talked with the army leader, they had common understanding, both leaders and both have a great fighting spirit,"they''re good ! I''ll stay here and see what the people here fight like !"


    "Whatever it''s not like you make any difference"the prince yelled rudely and got through the city''s gate with his guards, he asked for the place of the mayor and went there.


    "Oh sorry !"Rose bumped into the prince,"watch were you go fatso !"Petal huffed, he was in Rose''s hair.

    Cody watched Ghost working.

    Meanwhile Thunder was doing a good job distracting the masses.


    "Hey everyone Thunder is against the highest level training !" someone yelled and a lot of people gathered to watch.


    "Most people are putting attention on Thunder including some of the staff"D stated communicating with the others through an ear piece.


    "Great, Change in plan D I need you to steal a scientist''s access card, I can hack the system but it might trigger the alarm"Ghost replied.


    "Roger that, Hey Jade how are you holding up ?"D asked.

    "Attack plan code alpha 73"Malik used electric magic again to send signals to the defense system, the cages of the mutants were sent up and opened wide.

    The mutants fell down, the room went silent, the fighters cheered but between them stood their one true enemy, Malik growled and turned to a giant,"fools ! I am stronger than all of you ! I hold the powers of all of you combined !"he yelled in a monstrous voice.


    "Not mine..."Ghost mumbled and took a fighting stance,he punched forward and a huge black energy fist formed punching Malik in the face,He threw more punches dealing enough damage to hurt Malik in suck titanic state, Malik grabbed the fists and crushed them, he grabbed Ghost and thew him up, shot Laser beams at Ghost, they were red and huge able to evaporate an entire mountain.


    Ghost formed a white shield blocking most of the beam, yet it couldn''t last to the end cracking at the last few bits and pushing it''s caster away from harm.


    Ghost coughed and flew back down, he made several black and white spears to fall down with him.


    "Sh-should we interfere ?"Jade asked.


    "No..we can''t do anything, For now Ghost is our only hope"D mumbled barely able to stand up.


    Petal huffed,"I just sit and watch...vine attack !"he threw his root to a metal platform from the devastated ceiling of the room.


    Malik made a blood shield blocking the spears, he went back up the arena,"first the son now the father, let''s hope you will be a better warm up than your son, whoa !"he dodged a glowing beam of energy.


    "villians..all bark and no bite"Ghost mumbled glitching intensely he was minutes away from fading away to turn into a glitch.


    "Oh look you''re glitching, your time is getting closer to end"Malik smirked and used mirrage cloning, he surrounded Ghost in order to waste his time.


    "My time won''t be up until you die"Ghost growled and floated in the air.


    "Stop him !"Malik commands as all of the clones shot electric bolts at Ghost, they bounced off in front of the energy being gathered,"judgement.." Ghost whispered and the sky became clear, except for a huge black cloud.


    It rained down a powerful light on the clones,the light repelled from one mirror clone to another hitting the true Malik in the end.


    Ghost fell down panting,"no more.."he groaned losing energy fast, all his skills were unmatched yet they drained him fast, he has reached of total exhaustion.


    Malik laughed,"haha ! And yet I am standing"he made multiple swords appear and controlled them,"this ends now !"he threw but Cody used vine attack at Malik making him miss the shot.


    "C-catch this.."Ghost took out a metal ball from a black box, the box was labeled ''last resort''.


    Petal tried to catch it but Malik stomped him and grabbed the ball,"now it''s over !"he absorbed it''s powers,"now weed.."he looked down at petal,flames formed in his hand then got extinguished,"huh ?"he tried again but the flames died,"what is this ?!" He tried everything but it didn''t work, ice evaporated, laser was mere light, weapons were less harmful than a kitchen knife.


    "That''s Zero metal, it can block any power..and you just absorbed it"Ghost smiled and stared at Malik''s face.


    "Nooo !"Malik screamed and tried everything he could, he tried to absorb powers but failed, he had just the face that Ghost wanted to see, afraid, pathetic and hopeless.


    D teleported in front of Malik,"time to taste your own medicine !"He punched him down right towards the mutants, a crowd of haters.


    They stated blankly at the one who destroyed them, the one who fooled them.


    And so revenge was served, Malik was beaten up and shred to pieces, and they left him to die alone.


    And even though Malik''s evil plan has ended..this story didn''t.
