《-Discontinued- The Posers from Parrotise》 Chapter 1 - I Want to Be Strong Chapter 1 - I Want to Be Strong The light of the moon shone between the clouds on this particular night. It was a very special night, for a boy who had been nothing but ordinary throughout his entire life had just tripped while he was climbing downstairs outside his apartment. He died. There was really not much significance to his death, he did manage to get a special article written about him though. It was because he was the same person that had been reported to the security department 5 times for carrying a knife around campus. Ironically, he would probably not have broken his neck, but as this knife was tied on his lanyard when he fell it got caught on the top of the handrail while he was falling and was the reason he died. Now why is this of any importance? Well, I¡¯m sure your thinking that this will come back later in the story as an attempted murder or some event with greater hidden details, but this is not that kind of novel. Our main character seriously died from tripping while walking down stairs and there really wasn¡¯t anything more to it¡ As for why the title of this chapter is ¡°I want to be strong¡± well¡ er¡ I figured it made for better clickbait. Oh right, now that the main character has died let¡¯s call him main character 0 and go find another one. . . . . . . .Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on the original website. ¡°Demon decimating sword slash!¡± the squeaky voice of a five year old rang out in a desolate mountain range. ¡°Oi, your this useless imbecile can you atleast not squirm when calling out your ultimate move as if you¡¯re embarrassed by it!¡± the annoyed voice of a 70 something year old woman echoed. ¡°But grandma, it is embarrassing to say such an idiotic thing out loud,¡± the five year old complained. ¡°Embarrassing? You want to talk to me about embarrasing? It¡¯s embarassing for me that my grandson is too embarassed of the name of the ultimate technique I devoted my life to creating,¡± the old lady violently harrumphed. ¡°Don¡¯t be that way grandma. Can¡¯t I just use your technique without shouting the name out to the public?¡± ¡°NO! If you don¡¯t tell them its name how would they know it? This creation of mine needs to have at least this minimum amount of prestige.¡± The five year old groaned inwardly. ¡°I heard that groan. If I ever find out that you used this technique without roaring its name alloud with all your pride and dignity I will show all of your gross naked poop lathered baby photos to your future wife so she can laugh her head off at you! We¡¯ll see if that¡¯s more or embarrassing or shouting out my sword techniques name in the dignified tone of a powerhouse.¡± ¡°LAAA!!!!¡± The five year old panicked when he heard this. Those photos of his were truly too embarrassing. What more, his grandmother was actually using them to blackmail him. Damn it, why wasn¡¯t he a smarter baby when he was younger! This youngster is precisely our new protagonist. He lives in a world of buddhas where all the people are as kind to the world as they are to each other. No conflicts of greed exist in this world nor crazy demonic beasts or anything that threatens the peace. WAIT¡ This sounds a bit off. Why the heck is a five year old who lives in a world of peace cultivating such a scary sounding sword art? Oh, I see. Now I get it. My dear readers, this is a world not full of buddhas yet, but will be. Our main character 1, is precisely the great saint who will change his current cruel martial world intoa more peaceful one! Chapter 2 - The Legend of Parrotise Chapter 2 - The Legend of Parrotise ¡°Hey did you hear that the old enchantress¡¯s adopted grandson just turned 12!¡± a middle-aged woman gossiped to the shopkeeper. ¡°What? No way. Has it already been twelve years since that boy was born?¡± The shopkeeper replied. ¡°Indeed it has,¡± the middle-aged gossip queen sighed ruefully. ¡°How old we¡¯ve become.¡± At this the both of them sighed again. ¡°Hey there always sighing auntie number 1 and almost always sighing shopkeeper number 1. How have you been this fine evening?¡± a blue-white parrot flew down from the sky and landed on the floor while cocking its head to the side so as to position its eye in a place it could see both the humans. Seeing the parrot both parties let out a light laugh at its humor. ¡°It has been a long time since we last met your acquaintance madame cloud parrot 1. We have been very well, how about yourself?¡± the shopkeeper asked. Conversation like this was perfectly normal considering the high population of parrots and parrot descendant birds in this mountain range. It was said that the humans who lived here were long ago protected by a parrot god and so they came to revere the birds of the mountains. Thus, over the many centuries whenever new empires were established, sects formed and fell, the villagers living in the mountain range called Parrotise always remained safe and sound. Not just because they had the protection of the birds, but also because these were people without a culture of violence and they defended the birds with everything in their power. In order to avoid conflict they would never build up extremely destructive weapons of war so as to not be perceived a threat and also not venture out of their lands to avoid provoking others. It was honestly quite strange that they had never been embroiled in a conflict, but at the same time it was not that weird either. Whenever enemies would venture into this sacred land it was an extreme rarity that they would do so due to a feeling of ill will and after being invited in and treated like guests, as long as they had even a shred of humanity they would become peaceful citizens. Due to this peaceful aura which prevented all conflict and put everyone inside it at ease, Parrotise become the number location for retirement. Essentially, a bunch of really powerful old folks that got tired of constantly being embroiled in war would come here to live out the rest of their days in peace.Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings. Take the middle aged gossip queen and the shopkeeper for instance. The former was a former princess of the Dark Ocean Kingdom who could transform into a gigantic sea serpent and the latter was the former supreme naval commander of the Dark Ocean Kingdoms greatest rival, the Clear Seas Kingdom. Both were major characters but they willingly lived in peace with each other in Parrotise. Additionally, with such illustrious characters all over, it would be strange if any enemies were to show up and not lay down their weapons and convert to buddhism. And by buddhism we are not talking about the buddhism that once tried to take over the government of Japan or China. We are also not talking about the buddhism which did all the worshipping of gods and sages, but the true universalist philosophy, ¡°Be a good person, whatever that may be¡±. If we were to think about any mishaps or conflicts which occured over this piece of land there is one notable one. It was when an alliance of 5 kingdoms tried to conquer the place for harboring a fugitive. However, the end result was the ever mysterious enchantress appearing. With one glare, all the soldiers in the army found themselves completely hairless¡ they literally lost all the hair on their head and the rest of their bodies including their eyebrows, eyelashes, nostril hair and ear hair. Then, with one swing of her mighty sword she roared, ¡°Evil annihilating sword slash¡± and all of the weapons the soldiers wielded were fragmented into dust. Then she spoke. ¡°People say that weapons are not evil. Indeed they are not, for they are made from the same steel that is used to make the farming tools one uses in the agricultural arts and the same shields that are used to protect oneself from wounds, so indeed weapons are not evil. But they become evil if one points them at others. So if you wish to fight, than point your weapon at your opponent''s weapon for it is your sword or spear or axe which is challenging theirs. Do not ever point them at another human being to take or threaten their lives. It is better for those weapons to not exist than to be made tools of sin.¡± At that time one of the kings looked at the enchantress meaningfully. ¡°Although that fugitive had committed many crimes in the eyes of us, the administrators of law, if she sincerely becomes a good person in Parrotise, than we have nothing to worry about. Rather we rejoice, for the arrival of another kind and pure soul into this world.¡± Just like that, the 5 kingdoms pulled out. And so the legends surrounding Parrotise were developed over the years and some 13 years after that incident we arrived at the present day, when the grandson of the enchantress reached the age of twelve. Chapter 3 - Main Character 1s Birthday

Chapter 3 - Main Character 1''s Birthday

Main Character 1, or MC 1 for short, is currently a twelve year old boy. He weighs about 42 kg and has a height of around 153 cm. Not too fat or skinny, not too tall or short. His looks were quite average and there was a bit of acne on his face probably caused by his most recent lack of sleep for these past few days. ¡°I really need to get more sleep or I might get stuck at my current height. 153 cm is not too shabby but from too much weight lifting at a young age my height has already been quite stunted. If I want to become a tall and dashingly prince and stay that way till the end of my days I should probably get more sleep and come up with a daily skin care routine!¡± the boy muttered to himself as he washed his face. MC 1 was a firm believer that if one wanted to be a competent enough to win the hearts of all people, from young toddlers to old grannies than at the very least they should have surface level knowledge on every subject under the sun, be tall and handsome with a lean but muscular body and most importantly, have a caring heart without anger issues. For this reason, MC 1 would meditate daily in order to control his temper so it would not come to bite him in the back, tried to set a proper diet and sleep schedule and was currently working on a skincare routine and read and learned about anything and everything from the old folks in Parrotise be it: sewing, painting, sketching, piloting aircraft, carpentry, make-up artistry, herding sheep, and much much more. No subject of learning under the sun was left untouched. He once even spent an entire day disguised as a girl to see the differences in how men and women were treated in society. One other time he had used his carpentry and construction skills to create a small factory for candies so that the weird uncle living on 49th lane could help him get realistic factory working experience. For this attitude the enthusiastic grandson of the enchantress MC 1 had been nicknamed Jack the Sponge of all trades. However, one should not confuse MC 1 for one of those main characters in other novels who spent their entire childhood learning skills from fierce grannies and then entered the world with little to no common sense on everyone else¡¯s abilities. This boy spent an incorrigible amount of his time trying to learn what was considered average, and although the grannies were originally against it to prevent him from getting full of himself, he went and learnt about all of it from the parrots anyway. However, there was no arrogance to be found on him for it. Instead, he somehow picked up a weird super hero complex where he decided that he would save this world from the cruel clutches of human sins like greed, gluttony, lust, and¡ wait, I shouldn¡¯t have to list these out for you. They¡¯re really just the same 7 sins mentioned here and there in your world. So this innocent child from a very young age sent his sights on become a true saint. The likes of which this world had never seen after the parrot sage who founded parrotise. ¡°Hey hey hey, looky look. It¡¯s the birthday boy!¡± Shopkeeper 1 hollered as he noticed the silhouette of that particular 12 year old with dark circles under his eyes slothing over from the mountainside road.Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings. Seeing shopkeeper 1 the little boy¡¯s eyes suddenly brightened and the dark circles under his eyes receded to half their length. ¡°Thanks uncle shopkeeper 1!¡± The boy replied, ¡°how are you doing this fine morning?¡± ¡°Well, its business as usual. Did your grandmother send you with some money to buy yourself a birthday gift?¡± ¡°No, grandma gave me my birthday money but made me put it in my college funds piggy bank.¡± Hearing this shopkeeper 1 let out a loud laugh. The enchantress was really mystical, coming up with all sorts of strange excuses to take back her grandsons allowance like college funds. In this world, which country would dare charge her very own adopted grandson college tuition when her act of obliterating the 5 kingdom alliance¡¯s weapons had prevented a potential global war. ¡°Well, I guess it can¡¯t be helped then,¡± the old shopkeeper sighed as he leaned down to open up a drawer from which he took out an intricately carved box, ¡°I was originally planning to make you pay for this but since you are so poor just take it away. Happy birthday young one!¡± ¡°Thanks shopkeeper 1,¡± MC 1 thanked him vigorously while accepting the box. After chatting with the shopkeeper for a while more MC 1 proceeded to walk down the road to the rest of the village stopping by and talking to everyone. Basically everyone had some gift or another for him. Being the only child in the entire village he had the won the favor of all the old fogies. Naturally, he would collect taxes on annual tax day, er¡ I mean his birthday. Annual Birthday! When he turned down 49th lane to visit the mysterious uncle though, he couldn¡¯t find him. ¡°Hey mysterious uncle,¡± he called out, ¡°where be ye?!?¡± Yet no one replied. Thinking nothing much of it, he continued to 50th lane and so forth collecting various gifts and storing them into his spacial pocket. It was finally when he had finished extorting presents from everyone and was on his way back up the mountain he lived on did he finally run into the mysterious uncle. ¡°Doing well boy?¡± Mysterious Uncle had his back facing MC 1 and was currently staring off into the distance through the mist. ¡°I¡¯m doing great actually. How about you mysterious uncle? I didn¡¯t see you earlier at your house,¡± MC 1 asked. ¡°Mysterious uncle had some business to take care of,¡± mysterious uncle replied. Then he spoke softly, ¡°For your birthday I prepared a gift for you. I left it on your table¡±. Finished speaking mysterious uncle vanished. Literally just straight up disappeared into the mist. Seeing this MC 1 was left dumbfounded. What the fuck? Mysterious uncle definitely did alot of mysterious things but he had never just randomly turned into mist before. This was the height of mysteriousness! MC 1 was dying to learn this technique already. So he ran back up the mountain without wasting a second, the sooner he got back, the sooner he could checkout his present and the sooner he could go to sleep to prevent himself from getting a more severe acne breakout. Knowing the mysterious uncle, he would never show MC 1 something so interesting if he was not yet ready to teach it to him. The present definitely included this mysterious mist vanishing technique! Chapter 4 - The Mysterious Uncles Present

Chapter 4 - The Mysterious Uncle¡¯s Present

¡°I¡¯m home grandma!¡± MC 1 called out as he barged through the door while depositing his shoes on the shoe rack. ¡°Did you go and extort presents from all the oldies under the mountain again?¡± the enchantress replied from the kitchen. Although MC 1 referred to her as grandma, it did not mean that she looked old. In fact, she seemed to be no more than 20 herself, but similar to the rest of the villagers who appeared to be stuck at a certain age in terms of their looks, she was too. She was actually a rather beautiful woman in comparison to the other old grannies in the village. That¡¯s why everyone called her the enchantress. ¡°Of course I did grandma. Do you want to take a peek at my loot?¡± MC 1 replied shamelessly. ¡°No thanks. There is actually one more piece of treasure that your mysterious uncle hid in your room somewhere,¡± she said back. Of course MC 1 did not stick around to hear her say that. Having seen his mysterious uncle vanish into the mist just a short while ago he had long since dashed up to his room to look for the present. Upon opening his room door he was greeted by the sight of a brand new book on his small table. Hopping over he saw the title, ¡°On the Origin of Species: By Means of Natural Selection¡± by Charles Darwin printed on the front. He instantly recognized the script as being from the place far in the North called the Cerulean Empire. It is a language with 26 characters known as alphabets that each represent a particular sound and when put together create the words of the language. Apparently they can manipulate the yuan qi they collect in their body by way of sound and do all kinds of weird things with it. There was once a period in the history of this world that the wielders of this ability known as magicians had colonized the entire planet but then due to internal conflicts it gave the 5 kingdoms of the east enough time to form an alliance and drive them out. Hm¡ yeah the language they use is actually English from Earth. This narrator, me, has no idea why it exists in this cultivation world. But back on topic¡ Seeing the strange book MC 1 was even more excited thinking it really was the mist vanishing skill. However after spending an hour reading it he was quite disappointed as a lot of what it was talking about was really strange and had nothing to do with vanishing into the mist. However, it was not blathering nonsense either and since it was free knowledge he continued reading it anyway. There were a few confusing bits to it though, like why there were so many ¡°,in 18__,¡± and it took him a while before he realized that this was referring to a particular year. However he had no idea when the year 1800 was as the calendar year he was currently in was 991 S.H.E. or 991 Supreme Human Era, since the rise of the Supreme Human Race from the Human race happened approximately 991 years ago. He had a feeling however that the year referenced in this book was from a time in the P.S.H.E. also known as the Pre-Supreme Human Era. However, he had no idea when. Thinking up to this point he went about highlighting and circling everything which made no sense to him. This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings. However, then he read one particular sentence. ¡°One general law, leading to the advancement of all organic beings, namely, multiply, vary, let the strongest live and the weakest die.¡± He was dumbfounded. As he kept reading he continued to run into similar statements all leading up to one conclusion in his mind. Shortly after the Supreme Human Era arrived a lot of the records of the past of the Pre-Supreme Human Era were destroyed in the first century when the leaders of all the nations were Supreme Humans. Then, in order to unify the species all non-supreme human males had been enlisted into the various militaries and sent to the demon battlefield to die while the women were left and with only supreme human males available, so ended the race known as human. This book must definitely have been from before that era. In fact, its entire premise seemed to be foreshadowing those precise events and looking at history from a perspective from this book, such an event occuring was truly not something abnormal. However, after reading this entire book MC 1 noticed that something was incredibly wrong. If someone were to read something like this, it would definitely lead them into developing a need to endlessly increase their strength in order to not die off. However, if everyone were to act on this kind of a philosophy then wouldn¡¯t that precisely cause this philosophy to become true! If, in the pursuit of strength so as to leave behind one''s genes one steps on others and takes away their chances of reproduction by killing them than the mentality of the strong eats the weak would result in this idea becoming a fact! What to do? MC 1 thought to himself silently. Although he still did not understand 80% of the book, he had clearly grasped the main idea and it was an extremely compelling one. In fact, with the amount of evidence it was presenting there was almost no possibility of it not being a true model that describes how species arise and die in the world. In fact, he had heard plenty of stories of cultivators who had no regard for those weaker than them would strike to kill them as if they were cutting cabbages. To think that the rule of life was so brutal. This was something that gravely disappointed the pure heart of the 12 year old. Meanwhile the enchantress was sitting across the table from the mysterious uncle. ¡°Why did you give him that book?¡± She asked. ¡°If he is exposed to this idea earlier in his life then it can help him mature faster. It will also help mitigate the shock he would face when he goes to the outside world.¡± ¡°What if he never goes outside?¡± ¡°He will go outside within the next 3 years,¡± the mysterious uncle replied in a definite tone. ¡°What makes you so sure about that?¡± the enchantress narrowed her eyes. ¡°Because you will die sometime in these 3 years.¡± Hearing this reply there was visible shock on the enchantress¡¯s face. Knowing that the one who spoke was actually the mysterious uncle she was almost certain that he spoke the truth. In fact, she had also been having a premonition of her approaching doom recently. If she were to die, her grandson would definitely go out into the world beyond Parrotise. Chapter 5 - Vanishing Into the Mist

Chapter 5 - Vanishing into the Mist

While trying his utmost to comprehend the strange book, MC 1 fell asleep. When he awoke, he found himself on his bed cocooned in blankets. He groaned. This was definitely the work of his grandma. After rolling himself off the bed and then another couple times he finally freed himself. That¡¯s when he noticed that there was a paper tucking out of the corner under the book. Pulling it out for a closer inspection he read ¡°Vanishing into the Mist¡±. There were 40 weird circular things written on the page, nothing more than that though. It really made no sense as it wasn¡¯t from any of the languages he had learned from the villagers. However, it still left him with a vague sense of familiarity. Just what were these weird symbols? ¡°You are awake,¡± The enchantress spoke as she appeared inside MC 1¡¯s room. MC 1 did not even bat an eyelid to her soundless appearance as he had become accustomed to it over the course of the many years. She refused to teach him how she did it though. ¡°Good morning Grandma,¡± MC 1 greeted but his eyes refused to leave the paper in his hands. It appeared like he had become completely absorbed in some other world. As he continued to stare slowly the image of galaxies and nebulae began to be reflected in his eyes. If there was one commonality than it would be that his eyes were turning a shining violet. The reason was because that is what he saw. The longer he stared at the page, the more those circular runes began to appear as different galaxies from some remote corner of the universe. And then, whoosh. ¡°Oi, what the hell da ya think yer doin¡¯ plebe¡± the voice of a parrot broke him out of his reverie. Looking around MC 1 suddenly found himself out in the forest. He was standing on a tree branch that was roughly as thick as his waist and a parrot was perched directly across from him nibbling on a giant fruit the size of his head. ¡°He is learning astral spells. There is no reason to be bothered,¡± the enchantress spoke. Somehow, she had appeared right next to him. ¡°Woah grandma! You know how we got here? Wait, you said astral spells? You mean like the magic thing those magicians in the north do? Am I a descendent of those magicians? Wait, but haven¡¯t you always been training me to be a cultivator?¡± Seeing his grandma, MC 1 quickly got over his surprise at the change of environment and immediately started buzzing off multiple questions. If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. ¡°Yes, yes, yes, no and yes,¡± the enchantress replied. ¡°Go on, use that astral spell again. It doesn¡¯t require you to use your energy so it will only require you to concentrate and recall that star arrangement¡±. ¡°Okay!¡± MC 1 enthusiastically looked back down at the paper and began focusing on those circles again. After almost a full minute his eyes began shining again. This time when he vanished, he shifted his focus to his surroundings. He felt sort of cheated when he performed this trick the first time as he had no idea how he disappeared. Unfortunately, this time was no different. By the time he came around he was already someplace new. At the same time the mist around him clustered and formed his grandma, which left him gawking. They were in the training valley now where he had learned ¡°Demon Decimating Sword Slash¡± many years ago. ¡°The technique you just used is called an astral spell. It was a technique the Far Sighted sage created 30 years ago. It is still relatively new and with the exception of some of the villagers and myself, the number of people in this world who can use this technique does not number over a hundred¡± The enchantress explained. ¡°So that means I must be pretty awesome right?¡± MC 1 asked. ¡°No. This is considered one of the most useless techniques in the world,¡± the enchantress retorted. ¡°Huh? Why is that grandma?¡± MC 1 was curious. ¡°Because no one has the time in the middle of a fight to open up a scroll with 40 galaxies printed on it and then spend a full 60 seconds entering a reverie in order to be transported to a random spot within 4 kilometers of their location,¡± the enchantress explained. ¡°Eh! The location I appear in is random and it''s not possible to control it?¡± MC 1 was confused. If that were truly the case, how come his grandma was appearing right next to him 2 out of two times! ¡°Don¡¯t jump to conclusions. It is possible to control it, but the only ones who are able to do so need to be able to visualize all 40 galaxies drawn on that paper with every single star in the correct location and distance from one another. Only when they do not need to look at the paper can they use their eyes to look in a particular direction and move in that direction. Otherwise, they will just be randomly shot off somewhere by the technique.¡± ¡°Huh? I have to memorize the location of every single dot on this page and then be able to recall it immediately to get rid of the 60 sec lag and then also somehow hide which direction I am looking in to ensure that someone following me can¡¯t just appear right next to me like you did¡± MC 1 frowned. Now that his grandma explained this to him he began to see why this was so impractical. Indeed, only those who were considered monsters by the outside world would be able to use a technique like this proficiently. That is why the villagers were probably able to. ¡°Keep practicing, if within 2 days you can¡¯t memorize it then I will confiscate all of your birthday loot.¡± ¡°...¡± Chapter 6 - Get Lost!

Chapter 6 - Get Lost!

¡°Whew, after going and talking to all the oldies in the village I finally managed to figure out a way to pretend like I have memorized it,¡± MC 1 sighed in relief as he cast Dissappearing into the Mist to appear back inside his room. As it turns out, after spending an entire day copying the scroll onto a piece of glass that he put over it, he still hadn¡¯t memorized the location of every dot. It wasn¡¯t that he had bad memory or anything, there were just a ridiculous amount! Each galaxy had over a trillion stars! If this were the people in the human era, such a feat would have definitely been impossible! However, by copying the image onto a glass and then asking one of the oldies that worked with glass to shrink it proportionally and darken the marks, MC 1 was able to fashion out a set of glasses. He then proceeded to shine a bright light into his eyeballs through that glass so now every time he blinked the entire formation would appear in his eyes. This would probably work for a few hours at most though, however, it would be enough to help him cast it at will. Additionally, the glass was reusable and if he just stuck it onto his eye then he could cast the spell at will. ¡°What is that stupid glass thing?¡± his grandma appeared in his room. ¡°Oh this, it is my astral spell memorization tool!¡± MC 1 proudly explained what he did. One should remember that he is still a child and getting the opportunity show his grandma that he can do things more efficiently had always been something he prided himself in. Additionally, he had never been punished for finding cheats so he was of course willing to share his methods.Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. ¡°Interesting, however, do you plan to use multiple astral spells? With this method you would at most be able to use 3, one burned into your eyes for a few hours, and one glass on each eye.¡± ¡°Wait, there are multiple astral spells?¡± MC 1 was confused. He had completely not considered that there would be more. ¡°At the moment, there is only one other. However, that does not mean that no new ones will be discovered,¡± the enchantress explained. Thinking about it, MC 1 had to agree with her point. ¡°Oh right, now that you have grasped this kind of life saving measure, I have decided that you need to¡¡± the enchantress paused. For a brief millisecond her eyes revealed a hint of sadness before it was covered by resoluteness. MC 1 looked up at her in anticipation for what she would say. ¡°Get Lost,¡± she finished. Then, without waiting to hear his opinion the enchantress waived her right hand causing space itself to tremble before a crack opened revealing a dingy alleyway lined with bins for trash. She then grabbed MC 1 by his elbow and flung him through the hole.
