《Dark Domain: The Rise of the Light》 Lost Prince Chapter I: Prince of Darkness ¡°GAH!¡± gasped Kaliam as he appeared in the atmosphere of Earth; nothing protected him other than the tattered and heavy pitch-black armor he wore. He fell unconscious as he tumbled towards the sleeping planet. He started to burn up, forcing him to look like a shooting star to the curious eyes below. Kaliam slammed hard into the asphalt of a school parking lot, sending a wave of burning embers and concrete across the ground. He sat in the center of a massive crater created by his impact. The parking lot and anything around it was decimated, demolished, smashed into bits scattered. Kaliam regained consciousness and felt someone nearby. He slowly opened his eyes and saw a young girl looking down at him, cautiously keeping her distance. The girl opened her mouth and spoke: ¡°Who are you?¡± She held a sharp stick and pointed it swiftly towards him. ¡°A-and how did you fall from the sky and still live!¡± She said astonished. Kaliam chuckled lightly but then winced. A sharp pain jolted through him as he realized his sword had penetrated his side. A puddle of blood began to form beneath him. Fighting against the pain, Kaliam gripped the hilt of the blade and attempted to remove the sword. The girl watched from the lip of the crater as he attempted to pull the sword out of himself. ¡°Wait!¡± she yelled and slid down to stop him from further harming himself. ¡°Leave me alone, girl! I did not ask for your help!¡± He interjected hoarsely as he waved her away rudely. ¡°Well excuse me for being so helpful!¡± She snapped. She forcefully grabbed his arm, stopping him from trying to pull out the sword. ¡°What now? Want me to let you die all alone here in this crater?¡± She exclaimed as she crossed her arms in frustration. Kaliam stared up at her. His dark purple eyes pierced hers. He grumbled something inaudible to the girl. ¡°I¡¯m sorry. What did you say?¡± The girl asked teasingly. She tried to drag him out of the massive crater which had begun caving in on itself. ¡°I said fine. I will let you help me.¡± Kaliam sighed. Blood dripped from Kaliam¡¯s side as the girl hauled him out of the crater and towards her house. ¡°So, what is your name, girl?¡± He asked hesitantly. ¡°My name is Allie!¡± she replied enthusiastically. ¡°I reckon you have a name¡?¡± She examined Kaliam¡¯s outfit. ¡°Soldier boy? Is that your name?¡± She smirked as Kaliam¡¯s cheeks turned red. ¡°W-what! I am not a soldier bo- ¡° Kaliam winced in pain as he reached the limit of movement he could take. He went into a low whisper ¡°I am Kaliam, you can just call me Kal since you already make fun of me.¡± Kaliam looked away from Allie, defeated. Kaliam passed out from blood loss as Allie began to drag him out of the crumbling crater. It took her most of the night just to get him out from under the crater. She sat next to him after she heaved him out of the crater. She noticed how innocent he looked when he wasn¡¯t awake. She managed to grab him by his pits and drag him across the street, to her apartment complex. It is a small complex with only a few floors. This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. Allie dragged Kaliam into the elevator and hit floor 3 as she mumbles to herself ¡°Why is he so heavy¡?¡± They went up until they reached the third floor. The elevator doors slid open and she fumbled around with his body slowly making her way to her apartment. Allie made it to her apartment and unlocked the door and dragged his unconscious body inside. Her apartment was only meant to house one person, so she only has one bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a small living room. She lifted Kaliam up and set him down onto her bed. ¡°Okay, so what needs to be done here?¡± she questioned herself as she took rubbing alcohol and poured it on the wound as she slowly took out his sword. The sword, however, was too heavy for her to hold alone and dropped it on the floor making a loud thud noise. ¡°My neighbors are gonna hate me¡¡± she exclaimed under her breath briskly as she then pressed down on the wound with a small towel. Allie, then, slowly took off all his armor piece by piece dropping them slowly on the ground. All of the pieces dropped heavily and made loud thuds on the floor as she did so. She did this until he was only in his undergarments. She gasped as Kaliam¡¯s body was scarred almost everywhere. One scar, in particular, seemed to catch Allie¡¯s eye as it was deep in his skin and spanned from his right shoulder to his lower left breast. Allie quickly grabbed the stitching kit and went to work on sewing his wound back together. Before she could even touch the wound however the wound had already sealed up, leaving a scar. ¡°How?¡± She questioned as she sat on the edge of the bed staring at the scar that had just sewn itself up. Allie got up and left Kaliam in the bedroom. She put water in a kettle and turned the stove on. She, then, poured the hot water into two mugs with herbal tea bags inside. She watched the bedroom door, hoping he came out soon, so he could give Allie an explanation to all of this. Many hours later Allie had fallen asleep resting her head on the counter. Kaliam tossed and turned in his sleep as he had a nightmare. He started to talk in his sleep ¡°No¡ Stop¡ I won¡¯t let you kill her!¡± he yelled, scaring Allie. She fell off the chair and busted into the bedroom. Allie scanned the room then stared at Kaliam as he was sweating and breathing heavily. He leaned forward, holding his hand to his face, rubbing his eyes. He looked overseeing her, then observed that it was in the middle of the night. ¡°Sorry did I wake you?¡± He asked out of breath. Her face retorted in an angry manner ¡°Yes! You scared me to death!¡± She yelled as his breathing calmed. She looked away not meaning to snap at him. ¡°I¡¯m sorry I didn¡¯t me-¡° She was cut short as Kaliam started to speak ¡°Don¡¯t be¡ I am but a measly visitor and I have apparently taken your bed and drenched your sheets in my blood.¡± Allie stares at him in surprise and smiled shyly at him. ¡°It¡¯s not every day someone falls out of the sky and has to take refuge. I do wish you hadn¡¯t bled on my sheets, but I enjoy your presence.¡± Allie explained and sat on the edge of the bed and stared at the scar spanned across his chest. He followed her gaze to his chest. ¡°Why are you staring at my chest?¡± He asked confused. Kaliam gives her a strange look. ¡°O-oh well, those scars you have on your chest? How did you get them?¡± She asked cautiously as his torso from back to front was littered with small and large scars all over. One, in particular, was spanning from the top of his left breast all the way across to the lower half of his right. He frowned and looked away. ¡°I will tell you another time¡¡± He replied and his face emotionless as he spoke. Allie stared at him, shocked. Kaliam avoided eye contact before speaking in a low tone. ¡°I need some time alone if that is possible.¡± Allie stared at him with a raised eyebrow but understood and walked over to the bedroom door. ¡°Are you sure?¡± She asked, hoping he would change his mind. Kaliam didn¡¯t say a single word. Before Allie had closed the door completely she had noticed he had taken a piece of parchment out of his undergarments pockets and stared at it. Running his fingers across it like it meant something to him. She closed the door and laid on the couch, wondering what exactly she saw in his hand ¡°was it a letter? Or maybe a picture of someone?¡± She dozed off until morning. All was quiet in Allie¡¯s apartment after Kaliam asked Allie to leave him alone. Kaliam indeed had not gotten any sleep during the night. He couldn¡¯t while pondering about his realm. ¡°Something doesn¡¯t seem right¡ Why am I in this world? I should have been home holding our ground at the castle doors.¡± This thought bounced around in Kaliam¡¯s mind until dawn. Allie peaked into her bedroom to check on Kaliam. She saw his back towards her in the dim sunlight that has managed to seep through the drapes of the window across the bedroom. ¡°You up sleepy head?¡± She asked shyly, waiting for a response. Kaliam sighed covering up to two pieces of tattered papers. He sat up looking up at Allie peeking in from the door. ¡°Yes, I am awake.¡± Kaliam implied as he yawned and closed his eyes revealing dark bags under his eyes. Allie noticed them. ¡°Did he get any sleep last night?¡± She whispered to herself. Kaliam approached her and left the two papers on the bed hidden by the covers. Allie, being the nosy person she was, plotted to take a peek of what he was hiding from her soon enough. ~`~ Home Chapter II: Home The Dark Domain, Kaliam¡¯s planet, had been completely destroyed from war and is now only a dust ball... The dark purple haze of the sky with an orange glow below the horizon had plumes of smoke pillaring into the sky. Few Kingdoms have survived including that of Kaliam. His people had either been slaughtered, murdered or found refuge outside of the very walls that were said to protect them. Kaliam¡¯s presumed ¡°death¡± spread like a wildfire to the enemy and they moved quickly in order to take the domain over. ¡°Is everyone captured like I, the ALMIGHTY KING, ORDERED?¡± A dark figure asked the soldier walking in. The figure sat on a tarnished throne worn from the predecessors. ¡°WELL! ARE THEY ALL CAPTURED?!¡± His short tempered voice thundered across the room. The soldier stepped back slightly as he opened his quivering mouth to speak. ¡°Yes my king all of them were captured and imprisoned like you asked- except for one,¡± he stammered. The dark figure stroked his bearded chin staring at the frightened soldier, ¡°Who have you not captured?¡± he asked, his dark purple eyes piercing into the soldier¡¯s strained eyes. ¡°Y-your older brother, Kaliam.¡± The dark figure sneered at the soldier then stood up ¡°How hard is it to catch ONE PERSON?¡± The figure¡¯s voice escalated as he spoke. He stepped slowly down the steps that lead to the throne platform. ¡°I have all of the power in this world and you tell me this now? How can I expect such a weak soldier¡¯s to do my dirty work?¡± ¡°King Mason!-¡± the soldier yelped as Mason grabbed him by the throat, knocking the helmet off the soldier¡¯s head. Fear soaked the young soldier¡¯s light blue eyes as Mason smirked and stared him down, pulling him closer to his face. ¡°T-Tssk¡¡± The soldier let out as he gritted his teeth, trying to pull away. Mason¡¯s eyes filled with hatred, and he threw the soldier across the floor, creating a loud thud on the sleek, black marble floor. Loud footsteps could be heard in the corridor that came from outside of the throne room. Two menacing soldiers ran in to investigate, one of the soldiers looked down at what seemed like a young boy in a suit of armor. ¡°Shall we take him out of your presence?¡± He asked as they both bowed to their king.Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings. Mason only turned to face the throne and waved his hand above his head. ¡°Strip him of his uniform and throw him in with the prisoners!¡± Mason¡¯s face twisted, forming an evil grin. ¡°They will deal with him since he was the cause of their capture.¡± The now-imprisoned soldier didn¡¯t seem a day older than sixteen years of age. ¡°YOU CAN¡¯T DO THIS!¡± He yelled desperately as he struggled between the two soldiers. ¡°The rightful king will come for you! He is the real heir!¡± His voice drifted further into the corridor until his voice became a mere whisper in the darkness as Mason sat back on the throne and frowned at the comment the supposed traitor had made. The soldiers who had dragged the kid soldier threw him into a high-security colosseum with hundreds of thousands of other innocent people imprisoned there. His foot caught onto a rock as he was pushed into the Colosseum which then forced him into a guard with a sharp long spear in hand. The guard growled and thrust his spear at him. He yelped as he was thrown off his feet by the spear and hit the ground hard with tremendous force. His body jolted and was unresponsive. A young girl named Sarah stumbled upon Tyler, the imprisoned soldier which was unresponsive. She decided to drag him to her small quarters in the Coliseum. Tyler was unconscious for most of the day. He soon awoke to find a beautiful girl not far from his age. She had long dark hair, dark blue eyes and a worried expression on her dirty and grimy face. ¡°H-have you woken up yet?¡± she asked with an unsure voice he was even still alive. The broken soldier hadn¡¯t moved from his position since he was dragged there. He noticed his armor had been taken off and set on the floor next to the doorway. ¡°Where am I?¡± Tyler hoarsely asked as he looked at her frowning. He sat up and put his hand over his face, wiping down it. Tyler felt his head pounding from when he had fallen and groaned. He soon noticed that she was a commoner and began to get curious as to why she saved him. ¡°Why did you take me in when I am the one who captured you all?¡± She simply shrugged ¡°My father always told me to love on my enemies even if they don¡¯t do the same back¡± she smiled and gave him a crude bowl with porridge in it ¡°eat up¡ you¡¯ll need your strength¡± she explained. Ty¡¯s eyes were wide with disbelief, he soon shook it off and began to eat the porridge. As he ate he looked out beyond the tent like flaps that acted as a doorway to enter and frowned as he saw men, women, and children. Most of them doing labor for the White-clad legion. In the center courtyard whippings and executions were in progress. Ty set his bowl down as he lost his appetite and stared up at Sarah. ¡°What have I done¡¡± he exclaimed hiding his face in his hands. She sat next to him and hesitantly pulled his hands off his face and nudged him to look at her ¡°Its ok¡ You didn¡¯t kill my people, you can¡¯t blame yourself for this¡± she said with a low soft voice. He avoided eye contact and nodded to agree with her, Ty still felt responsible for the death of many. He didn¡¯t want her to feel the need to comfort him. He was a warrior, after all, the best in his class as well¡ ~`~ Secrets Chapter III: Secrets Allie entered her room to clean the sheets that Kaliam had slept in. She remembered the parchments he had hid under the covers and felt for the papery texture. Her hand lightly grazed over it and she gripped the papers in her hand. ¡°YES!¡± She yelled in excitement. She took them out and examined them. She read through the entirety of both parchments before Kaliam entered the room to check on her. ¡°Hey have you seen my-¡° he stopped short and stared at her as she held the parchments into her hand. She stood there her face with no expression showing. Her face twisted in a confused manner as she gripped the parchment till her knuckles were whiter than snow. ¡°Who are these people described on these papers?¡± her voice a bit shook from what was written on the parchments. Kaliam tore the parchments from her hand and stuffed them in his pocket. ¡°None of your concern, it¡¯s hard enough having to write a report about them, but to explain why?!¡± His voice escalated and he grits his teeth, realizing he had begun to scare Allie as she cowardly stepped back frightened. Kal frowned from losing his fragile temper and sat on the bedside. If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. Allie puffed her cheek out in timid frustration. ¡°Well! I guess we can¡¯t be friends anymore?¡± She replied with confidence. His mouth gaped as he attempted to speak but the words just wouldn¡¯t escape his mouth. ¡°What? Cat got your tongue?¡± She asked and smirked knowing she got him good. ¡°Well, it wouldn¡¯t be the first time I have lost a friend¡± Kaliam would finally break the spell of not being able to speak. Allie sat by him and looked up at him as it was obvious he was a bit taller than she was. She forced Kaliam to look at her. ¡°If you don¡¯t mind my asking? Are those people named on the papers reports of your friends?¡± Allie asked and stared at him to await an answer. He sat there silently. Staring back at her but showing no signs of wanting to talk about the subject. She sighed and stood up, walking towards the doorway she stops and looks back to him as she arrived at the door. ¡°If you change your mind I¡¯ll be waiting¡± she exclaimed softly as she began to leave the room. Kaliam tapped his foot impatiently. ¡°WAIT¡¡± He shouted a bit loud to get her attention as she just left the room. Her head popped back into the doorway curiously, ¡°yes?¡± She asked. He frowns but pats the bedding next to him. ¡°I¡¯m willing to talk about it with you¡ I trust you¡± ~`~ Lost Friends Chapter IV: Lost Friends Kaliam shifted restlessly in his seat. ¡°To start, I was a part of a special team of five. We struck fear into the eyes of our enemies and many of them would abandon the battlefield if they saw us.¡± Kaliam spoke as if he was reliving it. ¡°My group consisted of my childhood friends. One of which was Eli; an amazing friend and a fierce fighter! Gave me a run for my money! Next was Liz. She is very quiet and reserved and loves to dabble in magical arts. Don¡¯t underestimate her; she can turn you into dust with one finger. She was also Eli¡¯s wife.¡± ¡°Next would be my little brother Mason¡ Always toe to toe with me with combat. I would always win against him but the fight was close. Last, but certainly not least, was Nyla.¡± Kaliam exhales deeply after saying her name. ¡°Nyla is a very quick, nimble fighter¡ Her heart always saw the good in people, she always asked me to spare those who were forced into combat, and to have mercy¡ S-she was my fianc¨¦¡¡± Kaliam looked as if he was in pain quickly removing his eye contact. ¡°Our last mission was our last stand against the evil of our realm. Five against thousands¡¡± Allie stared at him with her full attention as he spoke and didn¡¯t dare interrupt. Kaliam began their story of the last stand¡ Purple lightning struck through the thick puffy cloud cover, revealing a massive dark figure above the clouds as massive columns of black smoke rose. Massive black granite walls had been smashed to pieces and many armored men, white armor and black both lay deathly still on the ground. Fierce battling still roared as the last defense fought hard. Fires broke out all over the massive kingdom and many families were stuck in their homes as they watched in horror; the feared white knights marched through the streets eliminating any resistance that approached. ¡°Resist and die!¡± One knight bellowed as he leads the march with his clean white armor with a red cape flowing effortlessly. He noticed five figures of intricate designs on their armor. They were mounted on horses with black armor and an intricate purple pinstripe on the edges of the armor. The center knight had a purple symbol for valor engraved onto his right breastplate. Two of the knights in black had a more feminine figure to them and the other three more masculines. The five of them slipped off their horses and approached the knights slowly. Soon they met in the middle of a courtyard, perfect for a battle for there were no houses close to the center of the courtyard. ¡°You dare resist when we have already taken your kingdom to the ground!¡± The lead white knight implied as he drew his broad sword, glistening even with no light to reflect from. The black knight with a special engraving, a mark of honor, stepped forward and removed his helmet. Revealing deep emerald eyes and a fierce grin. ¡°So? You think this is now your kingdom?¡± Kaliam asked as he removed his helmet and continued approaching the knight. He drew his sword and walked steadily towards him. The four other black knights all came forward, staying silent as Kaliam led them into the center of the courtyard. All drew their weapons which began to intimidate the knights in white armor. The girl to Kaliam¡¯s right struck first and without warning. THUD! She penetrated the knight¡¯s armor behind the lead knight and he made an unsettling groan before he stumbled to the ground. The battle broke out and for many hours they tirelessly worked away at the white knight¡¯s numbers. There were as many as a thousand troops at the White Knight¡¯s disposal and more than half had fallen. ¡°We will not fall! Come on!¡± Kaliam yelled as he battled through the mass of knights. By his side was the girl from before, her helmet had fallen off to reveal beautiful light purple eyes with long, sandy blonde hair put up in braids that lead into a bun. She had very light armor which exposed her fingers and on one of her fingers was an engagement ring. She and Kaliam worked like a well-oiled war machine. Plowing through troops as a team. ¡°Nyla look out!¡± Kaliam parried an attack headed straight for Nyla as she was busy with another knight. ¡°Thanks, I owe you one!¡± She replied and double teamed the next knight with Kaliam. The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. After hours of combat, the five knights surrounded the commander. ¡°Commander¡¡± Kaliam spoke out to him with a less harsh voice. ¡°Surrender and go home, see your family, friends and have a drink on me.¡± Kaliam slowly sheathed his sword and gave the white knight a few coins for a drink. ¡°Leave with dignity so that you may fight again, but maybe not in this uniform.¡± Kaliam¡¯s voice was strong and unbroken as he spoke to the commander. The commander simply nodded and ran off towards the shattered walls of the Kingdom. Before he was out of sight a dark figure struck him down out of nowhere. The figure had the same honorary markings as Kaliam¡¯s squad. ¡°What the!¡± Kaliam rushed to see what had happened but the figure confronted him! Kaliam figured out pretty quickly who this was and frowned. ¡°So? Brother? Explain why you let this murderer go?¡± Mason asked and pointed his sword towards Kaliam. ¡°Tsssk¡ brother!¡± Kaliam yelled losing his temper. ¡°You know we don¡¯t kill who we don¡¯t have to! It¡¯s always been our way!¡± Kaliam tried to get his brother to listen but to no avail. Mason chuckled as he noticed Kaliam¡¯s emerald green eyes turned dark blue. Mason lunged at Kaliam and forced his sword right at him. Kaliam quickly dodging this and countering by kicking his brother in his side. He didn¡¯t want to have to use his sword against his brother. ¡°Why are you doing this?!¡± He yelled and stared at Mason, feeling betrayed. Mason¡¯s eyes simply changed to a dark purple color and lunged at Kaliam again. Kaliam had no choice but to take his sword out. Parrying his brother''s attack and with little to no effort sliced Mason¡¯s ligaments on his left knee. Forcing him to kneel. ¡°You are blinded by power brother!¡± Kaliam spoke desperately trying to get him to listen. Mason with one leg left glanced over at the three others and smirked. Lunging at them he managed to mortally wound two of them. Nyla was the only one Kaliam could get to in time and Kaliam got struck in the back. A massive gash opened up on his lower back and he screamed in pain. ¡°Gah! Mason stop! These are your friends!¡± Kaliam hiding Nyla under him for she would be no match for Mason. Mason kicked Kaliam in the side forcing them both into the air. Kaliam hit the ground hard and his sword plunged into his side. ¡°GRRRR!!¡± Kaliam growled in pain and was pinned to the ground by his sword. His back stung from the gash being rubbed in the dirt. Mason chuckled walking over to Kaliam ¡°Oh How I love the future Heir in pain! It must feel so good to see YOUR friends die and your own sword to do you in?!¡± Mason exclaimed with great confidence he had won. Nyla got up and rashly attempted to end Mason from behind. ¡°Mason you coward!¡± She yelled as she jumped into the air and forced her rapier downwards onto Mason. Mason had seen this coming and parried the blow. The sheer force cracked the ground beneath them and he pushed Nyla aside. ¡°No! Nyla stay out of this! Run!!¡± Kaliam yelled and coughed up some blood. ¡°If I¡¯m not mistaken? She is your fianc¨¦e, correct?¡± Mason asked taunting Kaliam. ¡°Yes, don¡¯t you dare kill her¡ I swear I will end you if it¡¯s the last thing I do!¡± Kaliam yelled desperately as he tried to get unpinned by his sword. Mason chuckled and slowly walked towards Nyla who still lay on the ground. She began to get up but Mason grabbed her by the collar of her armor and threw her towards Kaliam. ¡°Awe so cute! The soon to newlywed are suffering together!¡± Mason taunted. ¡°Stop! You killed Liz and Eli! That¡¯s enough Mason!¡± Nyla tried to talk sense into him. Mason simply shook his head. ¡°You see I don¡¯t have an actual grudge against you two or Liz and Eli! I¡¯ve simply been ordered to do this in exchange for the throne of our kingdom¡¡± Mason explained as he put his foot on Kal¡¯s stomach and slowly applied pressure ¡°AGHHH!!¡± Kaliam screamed as his boot¡¯s spike tread sunk into his body. Nyla stood up and jumped onto Mason, knocking him off his feet she began punching him repeatedly with her metal greaves. Mason growled at this surprise attack and grabbed one of Nyla¡¯s hidden knives and stabbed her and twisted it upwards so she wouldn¡¯t be able to recover. Nyla fell to the ground nearly lifeless. Tears began forming in Kaliam¡¯s eyes and his eyes returned to his natural Emerald color eyes. He forced himself up and grabbed Nyla by the shoulders, resting her head on his lap. Tears streamed down his face. ¡°N-no¡ Nyla¡ please don¡¯t leave me!¡± Kaliam cried out desperately. Nyla gave Kaliam a small smile and reached up to wipe his tears away, her engagement ring rubbed lightly against his face. ¡°Kal¡ I-It''s not too bad¡ It could have gone worse...¡± she giggled but was interrupted by a raspy cough. ¡°Be strong and don¡¯t be consumed by the purple demon inside of you¡ your brother let that side of him control his actions¡ don¡¯t let it do the same to my beloved.¡± Nyla used all of her energy to lean up and kiss him. Kaliam hastily kisses her hoping some miracle will happen. As they kissed Nyla slipped her engagement band off her finger and slid it into his hand. She grew weak and her lips soon grew cold and she used all of her life force to send Kaliam away. He teleported to Earth and she closed her eyes peacefully and breathed her last breath. Mason walked off slowly towards the castle to claim his throne. Tears streaming down his face knowing he had destroyed his only friends he had ever known. He reached the throne room and sat in his new throne. It felt empty and cold. ~`~ Tys Escape Chapter V: Ty¡¯s Escape The guards would walk around ensuring none of the prisoners would be hiding weapons or any contraband in their quarters. Ty and Sarah had started to plan their escape inside the hut they had been staying in. It was barely held up by wooden supports and all the walls and the ceiling were cloth. They had lived in it for countless days now. ¡°SHH¡ I hear the guards outside! Hide the plans!¡± Ty exclaimed urgently to Sarah. She quickly tucked the plans into her pockets of her tattered and ripped clothing. The guards stormed into their sad excuse for a hut. They tossed all the few furniture items across the room for a thorough search. ¡°All clear!¡± one guard declared. The other guards nodded and all but one left for the next prisoner¡¯s inspection. ¡°So you¡¯re the court-martialed soldier, eh?¡± the soldier stared Ty down. Ty glared back at him, his fists tightly clenched. ¡°Yeah? Why do you ask?¡± Ty scoffed at the soldier. The soldier simply chuckled and spat at Ty as he left to catch up with his squad. Sarah heaved a sigh of relief and lay the plans back out so they could memorize it. ¡°Alright, we need a distraction so that the guards on the outer rim of the colosseum will be forced to come in towards the center. Then we can easily sneak past the outer rim to our freedom.¡± Sarah pointed at the plans they had made on a hand-drawn makeshift map of the Colosseum. It marked where all of the guards were stationed and how the patrol patterns were illustrated. ¡°How will we make a big enough distraction from inside the Colosseum?¡± Ty questioned. Sarah frowned in thought. ¡°Well, maybe we can offer freedom to someone else who is able to make a disturbance of the peace in the prison yard?¡±Unauthorized content usage: if you discover this narrative on Amazon, report the violation. They left the protection of their abode and went to where the many prisoners of war congregated as the legion of white armor stood guard; watching over them for any mischief that might ensue. Lightning struck close by to the Colosseum and shook the ground. Frantically, people ran towards shelter. Sarah and Ty were the only ones left in the center of the Colosseum besides the guards who were ordered to stay at their posts. It began to rain hard and Ty and Sarah sat under a tarp in the center so they wouldn¡¯t get drenched. Just as they got comfy, someone pulled them in through the sheet-like wall behind their small abode. Hands were fixated tightly over their mouths so they wouldn¡¯t be able to scream. They turned to see a girl in a long robe with her hood covering her face in the darkness. The girl slowly moved her hands away from their mouths. ¡°Who are you?¡± Ty asked as he turned to see the cloaked figure. She removed her cloak to reveal a blonde haired girl with deep blue eyes. She wore a black suit of armor with purple pinstripes and a large jagged blood-soaked hole in the side of the torso armor piece. ¡°N-no¡ you died¡ you were dead how are you here?¡± Ty stated confused and the girl began to speak ¡°I am Liz, the mage of special forces, and I have unfinished business.¡± Liz introduced herself and smiled at them both. Her smile hiding grief and anger within. ¡°First thing¡¯s first I need to get you two out of here. From then on you must find Kaliam. Only he will be able to stop Mason.¡± She explained to them quickly. Ty and Sarah staring at her dumbfounded. ¡°Our plan was busted by this storm¡ how will we escape?¡± Ty questioned Liz a bit frantically. Liz smiled at him and she unraveled a piece of parchment and set it on a table in the middle of the room. ¡°This is a full map of the castle grounds including this Colosseum. Here is your way out.¡± She pointed to a mapping of where the old city was. It was buried from the timeless warring. Left to fall apart underneath the new kingdom. Liz stomped her foot and a sound of a compressed enclosement opening and a hatch opens below them. ¡°This is where you will enter the old world. But be careful there are creatures down there that may be hostile to be on guard, oh and take these!¡± She hastily gives Sarah a book and weird looking wand device before giving Ty Eli¡¯s broad sword. ¡°But what about you?¡± Sarah asked concerned. She stared at Liz as Liz looked out the window with mischief in her eyes ¡°I will give Mason chaos since he wants it so bad!¡± She said darkly as she left Sarah and Ty to go into the hatch leading to the old world by themselves. They cautiously closed the capsule before hearing screams. The screams did not come from those who were innocent but the men who reigned and beat the innocent; screams from Liz¡¯s doing. Ty and Sarah descended down an endless ladder to the world of old in hopes to find the dark prince. ~`~
