Prologue: Death, Birth and Childhood?
Fucking dumbass! Your light was red you fucking moron! Yea I''m pissed. I just died cause some idiot doesn''t know that you gotta stop when your light turns red. I don''t even know where the fuck I am now but somehow I can tell I''m dead. It feels like I''m floating in this really dark place. I can''t tell if I''m looking up or down. It feels like the world around me is trying to split me into pieces but I hold on with everything I have. Somehow I know, I know that if I don''t hold on and I let the world take its course I won''t exist anymore.
As time goes on its getting harder and harer to hold on. This is a really scary feeling. Its like something ate me and is now trying to digest me. Thats when I saw it. In one direction I saw something other than darkness. It was only for a second and I don''t know which direction it was but I can make it there I feel. I started ''swimming'' towards not a certain direction but just towrds the strange thing that was just there. I''m getting closer, I know because the same thing is happening again and again, and each time Its bigger and bigger. As, I get closer, I can tell what it is, its some sort of poratl I think. None of that matters though, the next time it opens I''m going through it.
The portal opened again and I jumped straight through it. That''s when the darkness disappeared and I heard a child crying.
It seems I''ve been reborn. It seems like I''m either in some sort of Scandinavion village or I was transported to the past. I hope however that neither of those guesses are correct. I hope that I''m in some of sort of Fantasy world with Magic.
In just a month, I found out my hope didn''t fail. I saw it. I saw the woman who seems to be my mom use magic. I''m sure it was magic. Oh, I never explained this family did I, well here it goes. First of all, there is my dad. It feels wierd thinking of him like that cause this guy is probably in his early thirties and mentally I''m 20. He has white skin, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Hitler would have loved this guy. Anyway, he is pretty well built, he walks around with a sword on his belt and looks like he could fuck up most people if not all of them. Next up we have my mother and it feels even wierder calling her that cause she is definitly still in her late twenties. She is also white, has blue eyes but her hair color is red. That''s right she is a red haired and blue eyed beauty. If I didn''t instinctively know she was my mother and if I wasnt a month old baby I would have tried to pick her up. After that, I guess she''s a maid but there is another girl. She is definitly in her late teens and I know she''s a maid because she''s dressed like one. Not the classic maid clothing but it looks like servant clothing. She cleans the room everyday so thats a good sign as well. Anyway, she''s brunette with brown eyes and she''s pretty good looking. She has a nice pair of boobs probably a C-cup. That''s where they aren''t small but they aren''t big either so they fit in your hands.
That''s all of the people I''ve seen so far. I also don''t know the language yet since I''m a baby but I can tell from when they talk to each other that my dad''s name is Richard, my mom''s name is Elizabeth, and the maid is called Mary. It also seems like they named me Alex. I''m happy the names are normal and I don''t have a name with like 10 syllables.
Anyway, currently I''m just a baby doing baby things, like drinking mom''s tasty breast milk, taking shits and sleeping.
I''m now one years old and today I found a book in my parent''s room called "Magic for Beginners" and immediatly opened it up. I''ve been wanting to learn magic and try it out for a while now but I didn''t wanna randomly start trying stuff and then end up killing myself or something. Regardless, I read the book and this is the gist of it.
Magic can be broken down into a few different types; Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light and Void. It seems that all you need to do to use magic is imagine it happening and say the chant. Naturally, as a recincarnated individual I have to figure out a way to do it chantless, otherwise I would never be able to face the other reincarnated protagonists. The book also explained mana but its pretty simple, exists in everything including people, you use your mana to use magic and eventually your mana replenishes from your surroundings.
I put the book down and walked into our courtyard are where dad usually trains. I make sure nobody is watching and then I just imagine fire coming out of my hands and it doesn''t work. Dang it! Do I really have to do a chant? Wait, the book explained mana but didn''t describe how its used when you use magic so maybe the chant is for that? Alright lets first figure out how mana works. I close my eyes try to feel it inside myself. I imagine looking inside my own body and try to feel an invisible energy. It took me a while but I think I found it. It''s formed into a ball and is actually pretty small, I really hope this isn''t my maximum amount. Anyway, I try to move it around and surprisingly I can move it pretty easily.
I open my eyes again and check to make sure nobody is around again before moving the mana towards my hand. I then imagine that mana exiting my hand turning into a fire. It worked! An orange fire is now above my palm. It doesn''t feel hot to me but I can tell that''s just because its made with my mana. I then cancel it and decide to try the other types to make sure I could use all of them because the book talked about having aptitude and shit. I once again moved my mana to my hands imagined creating water. That worked as well. I then went through and tried all of them and they all seemed to work. The one that worked the best though was actually void. I guess its because I didn''t know what a normal void would look like so I just imagined a smaller version of the one I was in after I died. I ended up creat a sphere of darkness around my hand and it felt like a backpack or something. I felt like I could move place things in there and then close out the magic and when I needed those things I could bring them out again. this is good. I''m now 4 years old. I''ve been practicing magic and learning about this world. First of all my magic, the pool of mana has grown in size exponentially and it also feels like its quality has gone up a little as well. I have benn practicing the magic whenever I have free time which is quite often so I can use all the types of magic very quickly now.
Next up this world. The people of this world don''t have a name for it so I''m gonna just call it earth cause, why not? Anyway, the place we live is a small frontier village that doesn''t even have a name. Its located in the southwest of Shankira Kingdom. The Shankira Kingdom is located on the east of the continent. Therefore to the east is the sea. To the north is Tenzek Empire, to the south is Bazarou Kingdom and to the west is Finron Kingdom. Anyway, My parents are ex-adventurers who have been hired by the noble of the land to protect this village from monsters and animals. It seems my dad is a swordsman who can''t use magic at all although he does use mana to strengthen his body when he shouts out warrior skill names. My mom it seems is a ranger able to use some light recovery magic. Her ability with the bow is amazing because I''v seen her hit a deer, that was running in a strange pattern, straight in its heart from over 300 feet.
Now, starting today it seems I''ll be taking sword fighting lessons from dad in the morning and then archery lessons from mom in the afternoon. Right now is the morning so I''m getting my ass handed to me by dad. This dude really has no chill, I''m 4 years old man calm it down a bit! Unfortunately I can''t say that to him because I''m pretty sure he would start training me even harder. By noon, I''m completely broken. It seems like I finally get a break. Mom came back and Mary served us lunch. The food in this world is pretty decent even though it doesn''t have many spices but I''m no cooking expert so I''ll be grateful that I get to eat a cooked meal. After lunch I get an hour break to relax while dad fucks mom''s brains out and then they cuddel and shit. Obviously they didn''t tell me they were fucking but I used my wind magic to listen in and damn this guy''s good. She had me hold the drawn back pose for 5 minutes so I could remember it perfectly and then had me release the arrow. Then she told me to fire the remaining 11 arrows, walk over to the tree or wherever they land, pick up the arrows and then repeat the whole process until evening. She also told me that if I dont hit dead center on the target, she made with a small knife on the the tree, atleast once today then I don''t get to have dinner. On top of that if I drew the arrow wrong or I stood incorrectly she would smak me on the head and tell me to fix it. That''s how I spent the rest of the day, getting really annoyed because I hit almost all of the arrows, after the first 2 stes of 12, on the tree but I hadn''t hit one on center of the target yet.
Time went by until the sun seemed like it was baout to start setting and I as about to fire the 12th arrow of this set when mom told me that''s my last arrow for the day. Shit! I''m really hungry, I have to hit this no matter what! I drew the aarrow back and before releasing it I unintentioally used mana in on it and it ended up dead center on the target. I was so hapy I didn''t see the shocked look on mom''s face.
The next day, dad turned up the anti a little in our sword fighting trainging while mom made me stand 30 feet from the tree and had me keep firing those arrows constantly. They day after that, dad made my sowrd traingin harder while mom made me stand 40 feet from the tree. This is gonna be one hell of a childhood I guess.
Mom and dad have been training me for all these years and starting when I turned 9 dad had me fight animals alongside him while mom took me hunting. I have had one of the craziest childhoods a kid can dream off so far. I imagine dad will soon have me fighting monsters while mom will proably make me hunt them with a bow. These crazy parents of mine aren''t the only ones who have been training me though. When I turned 8 I found out Mary isn''t as innocent as she seemed. It turns out she used to be an assassin, so she taught me a few steallth tactics as well as some dagger skills. She also taught me how to cook some food so if in the future I''m ever by myself I''m not gonna starve to death. If I didn''t know any better I would think this family is growing me into some sort of super soldier to take over the country. But I know for a fact that its because they love me and don''t want me to get hurt. These skills they have taught me will definitly help me but I also have my magic that I have been practicing whenever I got a chance in between the 3 crazies training me.
Today is the day I turn 15 years old ,and head off towards the capital by my self to attend the magic academy.
Chapter 1: Journey
My parents have taught me sword fighting, archery and all the common sense of an adventurer. My mom also taught me how to track certain animals and monsters while my dad taught me battle tactics against monsters. I was also taught the skills of a thief and an assassin as well as dagger fighting techniques by Mary. My parents also wanted me to learn magic but they knew very little about it themselves so they decided to send me to the magic acadamey in the capital city called Shanta. To get there from our village will take about a week of walking while a carriage would get me there in 4 days. In this world a day is 24 hours, and hour is 60 minutes and a minute is 60 seconds. A week is 7 days, a month is 30 days and a year is 12 months. My parents wanted me to gain experience by travelling solo so they told me to walk there. Yesterday, the day before I turned 15, they explained all of this to me and gave me directions to the capital. It was sudden but I know its because they love me. They don''t own land so I can''t inherit anything from them and will have to make my own life and all of the skills they taught me will help. They also gave me a beautiful bow colored black with hints of blue as well as a sharp sword with a black handle and a lion pommel.
Right now I am saying my farewells to my parents and Mary. I made sure that Mary rmembered our bet and then started walking out of the village. Now lets figure out what kind of dangers I could run into on the way to the capital. First of all there are animals, I don''t have to worry about these because even if its the strongest animal they can''t do anything to me, I''m too strong for them. Next up monsters, my parents told me the different kind of monsters I am likely to meet on my way to the capital. They are Goblins, Orcs, Slimes, Giant Ants and Giant Spiders. They say I might also run into Ogres but that''s not too likely. Now out of all these monsters the only ones I haven''t faught and killed are Slimes and Ogres. Slimes because to kill them you have to use magic and I wanted to keep mine hidden, besides they are pretty weak so not a big concern. Ogres on the other hand could be strong and we didn''t have any near the village, but as long as its not a big group of them I think I can win and if worst comes to worst I can run pretty fast. Next up we have humans, by humans I mean actual humans and demi-humans like Elves, Dwarfs, and Beastmen amog other types. There are a lot of bandits on the path to the capital according to dad and he said should I come acros them I''m allowed to kill them and I should cutt off the leaders head and take it to the capital to give to the adventurer''s guild and in return I''ll get money. I think I should be strong enough to kill bandits but I haven''t killed a human before, well atleast not in this life. I just hope I don''t get that feeling when I kill the first one that I got back in the other world.
While I was confirming the possible dangers I was still walking and right now its a little past noon so I think I''ll take a small break to eat and then head off again. I decided to sit down by a big boulder and take out the lunch that Mary had prepared for me. I opened it up and thought, ''I guess she didn''t forget about the bet''. I quickly ate the tasty meal and then decided to rest for a bit. Apparently, on my way to the capital there is one city that will see before hand. Normaly this would be after 3 days of walking but I dont like walking so much so after my break is done I get up and push mana into my legs and take off running at an explosive speed. I think at this speed I could outrun a fast sports car going at top speed. What would normally take 3 days to travel only took me about 5 hours. I slowed down a lot before I got close to the gate to not let anyone see my ridiculous speed. The sun is about to set soon so I think I''ll spend the night here and then set off again tomorrow morning. I get in line in fron of the gate and wait my turn.
After a long time of waiting in line I''m now in spot to be the next person that gets checked when a fansy looking carriage with 4 knight escorts pulls up next to the gate. The carriage has to wait for the soldiers to open the big gate so it can proceed inside. The carriage is closed and is colored white with some hints of pink, fit for a yound princess. While I was admiring the carriage I looked in the window and accidently made eye contact with a young girl. I''m not sure what she was wearing because I could only see her face but she was beautiful. She had blond hair and baby blue eyes that shined with innocence. We kept staring into each others eyes until the carriage moved along. I exit out of my daze when I hear the gaurd yell for the next person in line.
I walk up and pay the entrance fee of 5 bronze coins and the gaurds check my belongings real quick before I go inside. Oh yeah I never explained how money works. Well here it goes. There is no paper money only coins they go bronze, silver, gold and platinum. 10 bronze coins is 1 silver coin, 100 silver is 1 gold and 100 gold is 1 platinum. Most people would never even see a gold coin in their life and only the richest would be able to use platinum coins. An avergae meal at a restaurant with a drink alltogether would cost around 1-2 bronze coins while a peasants monthly earnings are probably around 6 silver coins. Regardless I walk in and start looking for an inn.
My parents told me this city is callled Shima city it has ome nobles here and I should be careful not to get in trouble with them. They told me that if I see one I should bow and no matter what I see happening I shouldn''t get involved. hat shouldn''t be a big deal since I don''t really have a sense of justice, even if I see someone getting killed as long as they are a stranger its not my problem. I have been walking around for a while and can''t find any inns, I guess I''ll ask this girl. I walk up to a good looking girl wearing clothes a resaturant might have its waitress wear and ask her where I can find a good inn. She told me that her parents actually run an inn just down the stret and decided to walk me towards it as she was about to go home soon anyway.
"So are you a traveller? What''s your name? Aren''t you quite yound to be travelling?" She rattled of questions without giving me a chance to reply.
"Slow down, I can''t answer so many questions at once and before you ask someone else''s name you should give your own you know?" I responded with a bit mischief in my voice."Oh sorry! Thats a bad habit of mine, my name is Ari. So now you tell me yours!" She said with excitement.
''I''m Alex, Im heading to the capital to enroll in the magic academy and just arrived here today." I decide to answer her previous questions while giving my name. "Ooh, so you''re gonna be a mage? That''s so cool! My mom taught me a little bit of water magic but I''m not that good." She responded with even more excitement than she had before. "This is it! My home, The House Inn!" She said whith exaggerated actions that you might expect from an auctioneer as we arrived to a 3 floor building.
We walked in and Ari shouted "Mom, I''m back and I brought a customer!" and then ran off into what''s most likely the kitchen area. The place we enterred in seems to be a restauant place and I can see its quite busy. As I stood there looking around at the restaurant Ari came back out with a middle aged woman who like an older version of her.Stolen novel; please report.
"Ara, ara, You brought back quite a handsome young customer Ari." She said while smiling. " My name is Emily, normally my husband deals with assigning rooms but hes out right now so tell me how long do you plan on staying here?" she asked with a soothing tone. I like this lady.
"I''m just gonna be here for tonight." I replied with a smile. "Okay and do you want an individual room or are you fine with sharing one?" she asked back. "Individual please."
"Okay and do you want dinner for tonight and then breakfast morning?" she asked again. "Yes I would like both and could I also get a packed lunch tomorrow to take with me?"
"Yes I can get that for you, and all together for the one night stay and the three meals its gonna be 1 silver coin and 3 bronze coins." I handed over the money and sat down at a table until Ari brought out the food. It seems to be some sort of stew alongside a piece of bread and some vegetabel dish. She also asked if I want something to drink and I got water. I could have gotten alcohol since there is no age restriciton in this world but I don''t really like it and I hate the feeling of not having control over my own body.
I finished up the tasty meal and then Ari showed me to my room. Its a small room with a bed and a small dresser. I''m only here for the night so I''m not gonna unpack anything. I just went to the bed and layed down ready to sleep. The bed is comfortable in this world''s standard which I have gotten used to by now but it would be considered extremely uncomfortable in the other world. Regardless, I''m able to sleep quickly but for my own safety I set up an alarm magic so I will be forced awake If anyone in a small area around me starts acting hostile. I set it up so it covers the whole building and then go into deep sleep.
I woke up in the morning normally and was just about to cancel my alarm magic when I fel someone gather hostility around them downstairs in the restaurant section. I quickly got up and went down. The hostility isn''t directed at me so normally I wouldn''t care but Ari helped me yesterday and Emily was also very kind to me even though that''s just normal customer service. Also she called me handome.
As I arrive down stair I see a nicely dressed young man accompanied by a couple armored knights staring at Ari. Ari on the other had is looking down and shivering. I look over and see Emily clenching her fist but she knows she can''t do anything in this situation. I first walked over to her to get a clear sense of the situation even though I think I already know looking at th e young man''s lust filled eyes. She told me that the young man is a noble by the name of Kloud von Sherman and his father is a Viscount. She also told me that he came in here with his knights and demanded that Ari come with him because she was rude to him yesterday by not bwoing when she saw him. Ari on the other hand has probably never even seen him before. He probably saw her from far away and had one of his knights find out where she lived because he liked what he saw. Ah man, this sucks. Mom and dad told me not to do anything even if I see something like this happening but I owe Ari for helping me so sorry mom and dad but I''m gonna break my promise to you guys.
"Ari, is everything okay?" I ask with a smile on my face as I walk up to her. I can feel Emily staring at me from behind in complete shock while Ari turns around and is telling me with her eyes to not get involved. At the same time the knights look at me with a bit of caution and Kloud looks a bit annoyed by my precense.
"Who the hell are you?" He asks in a haughty manner acting like he''s better than me. I really hate spoiled brats like him, even in my last life they annoyed the fuck out of me. Looks like they exist in every world. "My name is Alex but who might you be?" Of course Emily just told me but I want to annoy him.
"This is none of your business but how dare you not know the name of Kloud von Sherman!" he got annoyed just as I expected but what the hell is that? What''s with the way he talks about himself? I almost burst out laughing. I have now walked until I''m standing next to Ari and I put my arm around her shoulder and secretly use a small light magic to get rrid of her fear. "Actually its is my business, you see she belongs to me and just now I walk down from room only to see somebody yelling at my property so naturally I would like to know what''s happening." I lied through my teeth. Emily and Ari are both surprised at my words but don''t show it on their faces.
"Your property? Whatever, that doesn''t matter. She didn''t bow before me yesterday so I have come to take her and deliver punishment." He said with a righteous look but he can''t hide the lust in his eyes from me. "Deliver punishment? You will? Isn''t that the job of the knight group?" A noble has the authority to declare and deliver a punishment to a commoner whenever he wants so me asking him that mean I''m not recognizing him as a noble.
"How dare a mere commoner speak to me like this! Enough! Knights kill him!" All of a sudden he snapped and ordered his 2 knights. They seemed stunned for a second but then started to move. I pushed Ari back towards Emily and then created an invisible wind barrier around them so they dont get hit by any stray energy. I knew this was going to happen or rather I made this happen so I already had my magic ready. As the knights got closer to me I created a wind on my hands. When the knights raised their weapons to strike down on me I moved forward and placed my hands on their chests. I shot the magic instantly and the two knights went flying back a little bit before falling to the ground. They didn''t fly far but they won''t be getting up agin, ever. I pushed my wind magic through their bodies instead of forcing the wind on their bodies and yet they still flew back. Their lungs and heart alongside their ribcage is most likely shredded completely right now, from the outside there isn''t even a scratch on their armor.
After I killed th knights I looked at Kloud and smiled like a devil. I This time I drew my sword and cut off his head while he begged for mercy. I then used void magic to get rid of the bodies and water magic to clean the blood from the ground and my sword. I also used wind magic to get rid of the smell. The restaurant hadn''t actually opened yet so nobody saw what happened and I think he wouldn''t have told anybody what he was planning on doing today because its still a crime if a noble gets found out forcing unfair punishment onto an innocent commoner. I turned around and saw Emily and Ari holding each other tightly with a scared look on their eyes.
"I guess I''m not gonna get that breakfast huh?" I said calmly. Its only natural they are scared of me. I just killed 2 knights and a noble. The punishment for that is death and yet I did it without hesitation. On top of that the 2 knights should be quite powerful yet I killed them so quick they didn''t even know what happened. If someone without any strenght saw something like that of course they would fear that person. I went back upstairs and grabbed my bag beofre coming back downstairs and giving my room key to Emily and leaving.
I sure made a mess in there I thought as I walked towards the city gates. I did however confirm one thing, I didn''t get that feeling that I had the first time I killed someone this time. This is good, it means I''m not gonna be left vulnerable after I kill one opponent. I have to get strong because this is my dream life and I don''t wanna lose it so quickly.
I slowly made my way to the gate and left the city while walking until I was quite far from it and then I instantly broke into my full speed run so I can get to the capital quickly.
Chapter 2: The Capital City and the Adventurer Guild
It took me about 8 hours to get to the capital. I paid the entrance fee and walked in. I decided since it was around midday I would first go to the acadamey and sign myself up for the entrance exam.
I got directions from one of the gaurds and walked until I got to the magic acadamey. It was off to the west side of the city and took me about a half hour walk from the southwest gate that I had entered from. This just goes to show you how big the city was.If I had to compare it I would say its probably the size of Manhattan but shaped as a circle. The Acadamey had a wall surrounding it with only one gate at the front, the eastern side of the acadamey, which had beautiful sculptures all around it. Walking in to the gate one can see the main lecture buildings to the front while the dorms and research buildings were on the right side and the left side had the training buildings and tournament stadium. I walked to the registration center they had set up infront of the lecture buildings and registered by giving my name and paying the fee of 2 silver coins. The registration worker, most likely a professor at the academy, told me that the exam would be held 2 weeks from today at sunrise. Looks like I have a lot of time to kill
For today I guess, I''ll tour around the city and then find a nice inn to relax in for the next 2 weeks. I''ll also check out the adventurer guild and maybe pick up some quests to get some money since I will run out soon. I started my tour in the west side because I was already here. The only places to see on the west side is the mage acadamey and the coloseum. The capital city has a big coloseum used for duels between nobles, gladiator fights and most importantly warrior and magic tournaments. The magic academy have their own mini coloseum but the normal public can''t view the tournaments there and that is used for smaller level tournaments that are held more frequently. I walked towards the coloseum and paid the entrance fee at the front gate and then proceded to a seat about halfway up in the coloseum.
At the moment there are 2 gladiators fighting. They are both using longswords and a shields. They are about equal in skill which makes it a good fight but their overall strenght isn''t that great. One of the gladiators is a lion beastman while the other is a tiger beastman. It seems the tiger is faster so he lands more hits on the lion but the lion has stronger attacks which hurt the tiger more even if there are less of them. The fight will probably come to a close soon. After I thought that I saw the tiger making a quick stab at the which he barely avoided. Then the lion who had lost his footing to evade the quick attack was kicked by the tiger making him fall over, and the fight was over. The tiger had cut off the lion''s head as soon as he fell over. This is how the gladiator fights are, they fight to the death. The crowd all cheered loudly except for the ones who had bet money on the lion winning, they just hung their heads down.
Honestly, if this is the best gladiators this city has to offer then I am definitly dissapointed. I really hope they have some better ones but for now I guess I''ll check out some other sites. I decided to head to the center city fountain that depicted a beautiful women with her arms spread out like a mother wanting to hug her child. This is a statue of the Goddess of water, Ezili. Supposedly she governs the water attribute, I don''t know if she really exists and I''m not gonna believe in her until I see her. Regardless water wass shooting out of her hands upwards and then it fell back down into the small pool. This is a beautiful site that attracts yound couples and old people alike. After the fountain I head east towards the adventurer guild but I stop at a restauruant beforehand and eat a quick meal because I haven''t eaten since morning and I was getting hungry. After eating I walked toward the adventurer guild while on the lookout for a good inn but I didnt find one. I guess I could ask the guild staff, mom said they alwasy help out adventurers. I finally arived at the adventurers guild after a long walk and stepped inside.
When I stepped inside, I saw the cliche environment. A lot of people are sitting at a restaurant looking section drinking alcohol on the left side, in the middle is a big board with paper all over it and on the right is a few tables with beautiful recptionists on it. All the people stared at me when I walked in to see who had come but most instantly lost interest when they a saw a kid. The ons that kept looking were the recptionists who all seemed bored out of their minds as nobody was at their tables as well as one yound girl who was sitting by herself. That one is definitely trouble. I ignored her and walked to the most beautiful receptionist who was sitting in the center.
"Hello, how can I help you?" She said. "Hi, I want to register as an adventurer." As soon as I said that, along with the girl that was already staring, a few more people started staring at me. Really, is this gonna be the cliche development. Whatever, if it happens I''ll deal with it. "Okay, please just fill out this form" She said calmly while smiling and passing me a form. "Thank you."
I look at the form and its pretty simple. It goes name, age, specialty and extra skills. I wrote down my name and age but for specialty I wrote ranger/archer and for extra skills I wrote sword fighting skills. I didn''t want to write everything about myself and I wrote ranger as my specialty so I can hang back and always have a good view of the whole fights in the case I join a party. I passed the form back to the receptionist. As she walked away a couple guys walked up to me while clearly drunk. "Hey kid, you think you can be an adventurer?" the taller more built guy said. "Its harder than it looks brat" the shorter guy said. So it is happening after all. " Well considering you two dumbasses can do it, it can''t be all that hard." I said back while smiling. "What the fuck did you just say brat" the taller guy said while reaching for his longsword while the shorter guy reached for his dagger. I turn to another recptionist and ask "Hey, if I end up killing them will I have any consequences?" she seemed suprised at first and then replied "You have pretty much already become an adventurer and the guild doesn''t concern itself with fights among adventurers." Perfect! The two idiots heard what I asked and instantly drew their weapons and charged at me. I was about to draw my sword but since I said my specialty is archery I dre my bow instead and rapidly shot two arrows into their throats. The tall guy was hit first so he fell before the shorter guy but they both fell so quick that everybody else in the guild barely even saw what happened. I then put my bow away and waited for the receptionist to come back.
I stood next to the receptionist desk and waited while all the aventurers stared at me until the receptionist came back. As she walked back in she was shocked for a second because there is now 2 dead bodies on the floor that weren''t their before. She puts a small plate infront of me and tells to put a drop of blood on it. It was a silver colored plate about the size of a phone. After I put my blood on it the recpetionist put my form over it and then used some sort of light magic after which the plate turns green and the form and my blood disappear while my information shows up engraved in the plate. "This is you adventurer plate. This can be used to grant free entry into cities and gets you discounts at all businesses related to the guild. It is also your identification so please try not to lose it. It is currently green, the lowest rank of F, the ranks go F,E,D,C,B,A and S while their respective colors are green, blue, red, bronze, silver, gold and black. Higher ranks grant you better privileges and better discounts so try to raise your rank quickly. You can increase your rank by succesfully completeing quests and you can take on quests 1 rank above your own. Do you have any questions?" she explained thouruoghly while trying to ignore the bodies on the ground. "Ah, just one, since I killed them do I have to clean up their bodies because I don''t really want to do that?" she seemed extremely surprised that I said that but quickly brought back her businesslike friendly smile and said "We would appreciate it if you would clean up your mess otherwise somebody who cares about them will eventually come to take away their bodies but they might want to take revenge so it is up to you to choose."
"Okay, thanks." I replied and walked over towards the board while stepping over the dead bodies. I looked over the board for F and E rank quests. It seems all of the F rank ones are things like finding herbs and bringing them bakc while E rank quests were subjugation requests for goblins and wolves. I guess I''ll go for those since I''m terrible at memorizing what certain herbs look like I''d probably bring back just regular grass. I walked back over to the recpetionist and asked if I could do both the goblin and wolf quests at the same time. "Yes, because those quests are ones that are always active so as long as you bring back a goblin''s right ear or a wolf fang you can get paid for it." I said thanks and started to walk out of the guild.
As I exited the guild I felt people following me. It seems there are 4 right behind me and then one person behind them. I move towards a back alley which won''t have many people and then wait for them to get there too. The 4 people came up and are surpirsed to see me calmly waiting for them but quickly decide it isn''t a big deal.
"I''m guessing those were your friends I killed in there?" I asked with a smile on my face. I hate having to deal with troublesome things so I''ll just get them to attack me and get rid of them quickly. "Yea, they were our party members and you just killed them, you fucking bastard!" one of the energetic ones yelled. "Well, considering they were so weak, their party members can''t be that strong." as son as I said that they started attcking me. Once again I quickly pulled out my bow and killed the three ones running at me or atleat I tried to but one of them dodged it. I went to fire another arrow but the one that hung back used wind magic and shot it at me. They probably expected me to dodge it so the swordsman could attack me but instead I put my hand forward and just let the let the air magic hit me. It didn''t do anything to me because it was so weak and I had wrapped mana around my hand to protect it just incase. They were both shocked by me just taking the magic to my hand. I quickly pulled my bow back up and shot two arrows killing them with the shocked looks still present on their eyes. I didn''t drop my gaurd though and instead said, "Show yourself, I know you''re there."
"How did you know, even my own master can''t find me unless I want him to." the girl said as she walked out of the shadows. Its the same girl that was staring at me the entire time in the adventurer''s guild from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. "Who are you nd why are you so interested in me?" I asked her
"I just don''t understand why a man walking around with a bow, sword and dagger has so much mana. Infact its more mana than my master and I have never met someone with as much mana as him let alone one with more than him." she said while looking at me with suspision. Well looks like I ended up with some annoying shit on my hands. Fuck!
Chapter 3: Troublesome Things
"How much mana I do or don''t have isn''t any of your business." I told her. "Besides, who the hell are you? I don''t even know your name, why should I tell you anything about me?" I followed up while making my annoyance clear.
"You have a point, my name is Inra." she said while conceding. "Now tell me something about yourself." she added on with a smirk on her face. "Nah, I don''t think I will." I replied with a similar look on my face before melting into the shadows of the alley. I saw the look on her face as I disappeared into nothingness. She was so shocked her mouth practically hit the ground. This little thing was fun in the past life but in this life its even more so because with the use of a little magic I can make it look like I literally disappear. I''ve only done it once before and the only person who has seen it in this life before is Mary.
"How the fuck did he just do that!? Maybe, I finally found someone who can help me." she monologued before leaving. "Man, I feel like I''m gonna have an annoying dog following me around for a while." I said while reappearing at the same spot I was at before I disappeared. I could have left but I wanted to hear why she wanted to know about me. Unfortunately, it seems she isn''t the type to quit easily. Whatever, I guess I''ll go and find an inn to sleep in for the next 2 weeks.
Nothing! Not a single fucking inn has rooms left! How is that even possible? Actually, that''s a lie. There is one inn with rooms left but I can''t afford that shit. With all of the money I have on hand I could stay there for maybe 2 nights if even that. Its practically night already and I have nowhere to sleep. Fuck it! I''ll just go out of the city and hunt goblins and wolves all night. Its only 2 bronze coins per ear or ang but if I hunt enough I can make a lot of money. I can also hunt further away from the city. Alright let''s do it.
I left the city while the guards gave me strange looks. After getting out of their sight I ran towards the forest west of the city. I got there in one hour and started hunting. There should be a good amount of goblins in this area and probably a few wolves too. I shouldn''t hunt all of them but as long as I leave a few goblins ther population will be back to the hundred very quickly. I spread out my mana to cover a range of 1000 feet around me. I could cover more but I don''t really need a bigger area.
I walk around for a bit until I find a small group of goblins. Its a group of 4, they''re probably hunters. I use my bow to kill off 3 of them and let the last one run so it can lead me back to their village. I cut off the right ears of the 3 goblins and then follow the last one. He lead me what seemed to be a small human village but the reality was a lot different. There are so many of them in there. It has be atleast 2500 or so goblins in there. How the hell did their population grow so much? I was thinking that when I felt 2 presences in my range, one belonged to the girl who was following me today, it seems she found me. The other belongs to a goblin king. That''s why there are so many of them. When a goblin king is born into a goblin population, the reproduction rate of those goblins increases and they all become a little bit smarter so its harder to find them while they train more so they become stronger as well. I could kill pretty much all of them with a single magic but then I would have to manually go through and get their ears and some might be burned off so I''ll just go around and kill most of them. I''ll leave around a hundred so they can get the ears for me and when they finish that task I''ll kill them until only around 10 remain. It seems I''ll have an audience but I think I can use this girl, she seems to be the princess type so she probably has money. This will be the solution to my inn problem. Anyway lets get started.
Inra''s POV
I saw a strange human today. He carried a bow, sword and dagger but had more mana than myself who is a top tier mage. I have never met anyone with more mana than myself, so I assumed he must carry the other weapons to throw people off and surprise them with his magic. A way to test my theory presented itself perfectly. Two idiots walked up to im when he registered himself as an adventurer to show off and belittle him. Instead of fearing the adventurers though, he talked back to them and made them angry enough to attck him with weapons drawn. Just when I thought he would use magic to deal with them he instead pulled out his bow and quickly fired 2 arrows into their throats killing them before anyone knew what happened. How is that possible though? He is a human so he should only be 15 or 16 years old. Nobody should be able to master archery to that level while having so much mana at the same time in that short of a lifetime. This intrigued me even more so when he left I was going to follow him but 4 idiots beat me to it. I wanted to see what else he could do so I followed behind them and saw an interesting sight. He killed the first 2 with arrows quickly but the third one dodged and the fourth one fired magic at him. A normal human would dodge that attack but he instead put up his mana covered hand and let the magic hit it. The act itself isn''t that difficult since I can do the same thing but the fact that a cowardly human would use such an advanced tactic at such a young age is what''s surprising. He then killed the 2 shocked idiots before calling me out. He knew I was watching him! That shouldn''t be possible. No one has ever been able to find me when I''m hidden. Not even my royal guards could do that. I didn''t want to reveal much information about myself so I lied to him a litle saying he had more mana than my master. Well, its not a complete lie since I''m my own master but whatever. After that he did another surprising thing. This one shocked me beyond belief. I the Princess of Blood, am known among my people to be the greatest at stealth as well as the greatest counter against other people who use stealth. This is because no matter how well anybody hides they can never hide form me. That''s what I believed until today when I saw this human, a mere human, disappear into thin air like he never existed. It doesn''t matter though because I caught his mana scent, the next time he uses any mana I should be able to find him.This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
I left from the alley and went to my room at the inn. This is supposedly the best room of the best inn in this whole city. This is not that good though. It''s a real step down from my previous room. Anyway, I should sleep utnil night, being out during the day is not normal for us.
I woke up as the sun was setting. I felt it, he used his mana. It seems to be from outside the city though. I wonder where he is going at this time, normal humans sleep at night but then again there isn''t anything normal about him. I used void magic to hide my figure and wind magic to fly towards where he had gone. I followed the scent of his mana until I reached a forest. I saw him sitting in a tree looking down into a goblin village. I set myself down upon a higher tree so I could see exactly what he does in this situation.
What I saw was a beautiful sight. As soon as it started I was frozen, I couldn''t look away from it. He used his sword to cut goblins close to him, he thre his dagger at enemies at perfect times to throw them off or kill them with precision. He would draw them into tight spaces, put down his sword and fire arrows rapidly killin many of them. As he did all of this he was firing magic continously to block the magic of the goblin mages or to kill off a groups of goblins at once. It was not a fight, it was a massacre. He didn''t get a single scratch on him and the look on his face the entire time was that of joy. Joy for being able to reap so much life, joy that every plan he had in his head worked perfectly, joy that all of the goblins were dancing on top of his palms. He had even purposefull not targeted the goblin king even though normally a human party would target the king first and then pick of the scattered goblins. He instead killed almost all of the goblins leaving around 100 of them before fighting the king. Well, it wasn''t much of a fight. He put his right palm on his chest and blasted wind magic though the king instantly shredding all his inner organs and killing him. He is the one! I have decided that I will put my faith in him. If I want to survive I will need him. He is already so strong I can only imagine how strong he will become if he becomes my bound partner.
Alex''s POV
I dealt with the simplistic goblins and the king. It was the most fun I have had since coming to this world. After I killed the king I used mana in my voice to command the goblins to cut off the ears and bring them to me. Normally, low intelligence monsters or animals can''t understand the human tongue but if you fuze enough mana in your voice then you can comman them to do simple tasks even though they won''t understand the words. After I commanded them, I looked into the tree that Inra was hiding in and motioned her to come down. She seemed surprised for a second before remembering what happened earlier today.
"What is your name human?" she asked me. I could tell she wasn''t human because her eyes were red, glowing red. Her hair was also a fiery red. I couldn''t see it during the day because she covered up her entire body in a robe but now I can perfectly see her. She is wearing a beautiful dress the color of blood. She has a nice pair of tits, not too big but not small by any means. She is a 10/10 beauty for sure and just as I had expected she is definetly the princess type.
"I''m Alex and you, are you a vampire?" she smiled when I responded and asked a question of my own. "Yes, I am a vampire Alex. Not just any vampire though, I am...was the princess of my people. The only people with more authority than me were my father and mother. That is until that bastard Mortas plotted agaisnt them and had them killed. He wanted to kill me as well but I escaped in time, naturally he hasn''t stopped hunting me but I''m pretty sure I''m not super high on his priority list right now." she explained with rage filling her eyes until she calmed down for a second by shaking her head. "Let''s move to a better place before continuing this topic."
"Yea, but first I need to secure a place to stay, can you help me with that?" I asked her honestly because I don''t really like being roundabout. "You can come to my room, its nothing compared to my old one but its supposedly the best in the city."
I nodded to her proposal, picked up the gathered goblin ears, tossed them in my void space and then fired a magic at the rmeaining golbins killing most of them and probably leaving a few of them alive. I then saw her fly up into the sky and she smirked seeing I hadn''e flown up behind her. "What''s wrong Alex? You don''t know how to fly?" she asked while mocking me. She''s right I don''t or rather I didn''t until I just saw her doing it. I smirked back before flying up to her height after copying the magic she used. Instantly her face showed annoyance but she quickly got over it and started flying to this city with me following behind her. It seems like I''m about to get caught up in really troublesome things but I don''t really have a choice now. I decided the moment I saw her that I''m gonna make her mine and if I have to kill some idiot and take back a kingdom then its a small price to pay. Besides, when she becomes the ruler of her kingdom again I''ll be able to do whatever I want in her kingdom. I should do this with all of the countries in this world so I can do whatever the fuck I want and nobody can tel me otherwise. I doubt I''ll be able to do that but for now I''ll take the one country that I can get. I smiled like a plotting devil while staring at Inra from behind.
Chapter 4: SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE
Alex''s POV
We flew over the city walls and straight toward the tallest and best inn of the whole city. Of course she lives here, she''s a princess after all. She flew in through a window on the top floor and I followed after her.
I landed and the first thing I thought was ''this is a really good room'', so far its the best I''ve seen in this world. The bed seems comfortable while the room is quite spacious and there is some nice art on the walls. Definetly worth the price they charge for it.
"Take a seat." she said while sitting herself on a comfy looking sofa and motioning to the one oppsite. There is even a well crafted table with some intricate carvings in the middle.
"Explain" I sat down and stared at her waiting for her elaboration of the story she told earlier.
"First of all my name is Princess Inra Bertoldo, I was the next in line for the throne of a small vampire nation where my father and mother ruled. Mortas, my father''s aide, plotted alongside other conspirators and they had my parents killed when they were seperated from their gaurds. He tried to do the same to me but I was able to slip away while my royal gaurds held off the attackers. Everyone I could trust is now dead and frankly the thought of going back to that place haunts me. However, it is my right and duty to rule those people and no matter what happens I will fulfill that duty and exercise that right. Of course, I can''t do this alone so I have been searching for someone capable enough to help me. I couldn''t ask another vampire for help because they would use me and then take over the throne themself meanwhile all the humans I met were nowhere near my level. You are the only one who has shown promise even though all the skills you use aren''t the greatest but they fact that you can use all of them and with such beautiful cordination makes you a deadly weapon." she took a breath and continued, " If you bond with me all of your strengths will become stronger while your weaknesses will for the most part disappear."
"What the fuck does it mean to bond with you?" I was extremely confused when she mentioned bonding with her. "Bonding is a process where a vampire and a member of another race magically which causes both to gain strengths from the other race or loose the weakness of their own race. For example, with me and you, I would loose my weakness against sunlight and light magic and I will also no longer have to drink blood, whereas you would gain an unlimited lifespan, a better understanding of magic and stronger physique."
"That sounds too good to be true, what''s the catch?" I asked back while doubting such a convinient thing. "The catch is that if 1 dies so does the other, this way we won''t be able to betray ecah other." is she really that naieve or is she just pretending. "You can still betray each other, you would just imprison the other person instead of killing them." the look on her face showed that she was just waitin for this question so she must have a way to get rid of the loophole. "After the process of bonding each person gains the abillity to commit suicide even if they are unconsious or out of mana, so if one were to betray the other in that manner the other can then commit suicide killing both bonded individuals."
She continued with her sales pitch, "On top of all this, you would be the husband of the queen, no one could question your actions." she smiled thinking she just put the icing on the cake and I will say being her husband does sound pretty delicious. "I don''t plan on settling down so quickly, what do vampires think about polygamy?"
"Polygamy isn''t very common in vampires but it isn''t shunned and I don''t plan on forcing you to become my husband or to not have other women." This seems to be a very good offer but I don''t want to rush into some sort of magical contract so easily.
"The offer is quite good, can I sleep on it?" I asked her to which she seemed a bit disappointed but quickly changed her look to respond, "Okay, you can sleep on the sofa for tonight but if you accept my offer you can sleep on the bed with me." she walked towards her bed while shaking her hips seductively. In this world there aren''t any real laws regarding at what age you can marry or have sex but you become an adult at age 15. That''s probably because most people die between 20-35. Anyway, she is really trying to sell this bonding thing isn''t she?
I can''t really see any loopholes where she can take advantage of me so I don''t think there is any downside to taking the deal. If i can get stronger as well as gain a vampire princess as my woman there isn''t much to loose. Well, for now let''s sleep.
Inra''s POV
I can''t believe it, he didn''t instantly say yes when I mentioned I would be his wife. I know I just became an adult by vampire standards but I''m much older than this human, how did my charm not work on him. I''ll try it on him as he sleeps.
I pretended to sleep for an hour or so before walking over to the sofa. I was about to start the charm magic but all of a sudden he started saying "Katy" with a look of severe pain on his face. I couldn''t bring myself to use the charm magic on him when he looks like this. I hope he will still chose to bond with me but I can''t take advantage of someone who is already suffering. I can''t believe I''m becoming so soft. I have killed so many innocents before but I can''t make myself take advantage of this man who seems innocent but most likely isn''t. An innocent person doesn''t gain that kind of strength at such a young age. He seems to have lost someone just as I have lost people, hopefully this similarity will bring him to empathise with me. Oh well, I guess I''ll find out tomorrow. For now I''ll go and find something to drink.

At the same time a small army, filled with strong knights, was heading towards a frontier village at the southwest corner of Shankira kingdom ready to start a war they were sure their country would win. If nothing goes wrong then, they should arrive at their destination in one month.
Alex''s POV
I woke up in the morning feeling well rested. It seems I didn''t have the nightmare last night, a rare occurence. Whatever, let''s start the day.
I got off the sofa, splashed some water magic on my face which I dried with fire magic. I didn''t see the princess anywhere so I decided I would go and get paid for the goblins first. I jumped out the window and then walked towards the guild. I bought a couple skewers on the way and I chewed on them while walking, not the most balanced breakfast but it doesn''t matter much.
I walked into the guild and saw that is was a lot busier than yesterday. Most people were hovering near the request board while some were having breakfast on the tables. I came here in the middle of the day yesterday so I must have missed the morning rush of adventurers looking for requests. I ignored them and walked in line for the receptionist.
After a while it was finally my turn, "Hello, how can I help you today?" Its a different one from yesterday but she''s cute as well. "I killed some goblins yesterday and wanted to get the money for them."
"Okay, it will be 2 bronze coins per ear, how many ears do you have?" her face went pale when I pulled out the ears from my void space. They were wrapped in cloth but I know she could tell what was in there, "This is 2400 goblin ears and one goblin king." I stted while pulling out the goblin kings corpse.
"Please give me just a moment!" she shouted in a fluster as she ran to the back. At this point all of the adventurers stopped what they were doing and jsut started at me. I could hear whispers among them saying "thats a lot of goblins,"..."he killed them all on his own?"..."its just goblins, they''re weak."..."dumbass, 2400 goblins and a goblin king, that''s an army not some small ragtag group of goblins."..."Who you calling a dumbass!". The whispers became shouts while they argued with each other.
I enjoyed the small entertainment while the recpetionist came back with a man probably in his late 30s. "Young man, are you the one who brought back 2400 goblin ears and a goblin king?" as soon as he started talking all the voices around me stopped. "Well, I''m standing next to them aren''t I?" I responded with my best friend, sarcasm. It seems though, that this guy doesn''t like it as much. I heard gasps from all around me, they fear this guy. "I''m not here for jokes kid, but you do have a point. Bringyour spoils and come with me." I put my stuff back into the void space and followed him to some sort of reception room probably reserved for higher level guests.
"You can set them down here. My name is Jack, I''m one of the guild managers and a retired adventurer. What''s your name?" he sat down before motioning to the opposite sofa after I had set the loot to the side of the room. "I''m Alex" the receptionist walked away out of the room.
"What''s your adventurer rank?" I showed him my green card. "F ranked?!" he showed surprise pretty easily.
"I just registered yesterday and needed money so I went hunting afterwards." I put away my card, "Can I just get paid already?"
"You will get paid but please answer my questions first. Where did you find this big a group of goblins and how did you hunt them?"
"I hunted in the west forest and how I killed them isn''t any of your business, but if you must know I shot arrows at them." I responded while annoyed at his questions. Why can''t they just fucking pay me and get on with it?
"Please cooperate here, did you leave any goblins alive because if you did they will reproduce quickly and get a big population again. We have never had goblins in that forest before." he''s getting annoyed with me because I''m getting annoyed at his idiotic questions.
"I am cooperating. This is the best I can do, I don''t really like answering stupid questions. As far as remaining goblins go I''m not sure, Before I left I thought I killed them all but they are sneaky little shits."
"That''s not how you talk to a superior.Are you trying to piss me off?" I sighed heavily and got up, "Are you gonna pay me or not?"
He grinded his teeth obviously wanting to punch me through the wall but there''s probably some sort of rule against guild staff attcking adventurers and same probably vice versa. He rang a bell on the table and the same recptionist walked back in a few moments later.
"Karen, check and count the ears and then pay him for both the ears and the corpse."
The receptionist, Karen, nodded and went to the corner to count the ears, I sat back down and had a staring contest with the idiotic Jack. After a while karen came back over.
"For the goblin ears, 2400 of them, the total comes to 4 gold and 80 silver coins plus 4 silver coins for slaying a goblin king plus 10 silver coins for materials from the corpse brings you to a total of 4 gold coins and 94 silver. Please wait here while I grab your payment."
That''s a decent amount of money, it should help out in the future. Karen came back a few moments after leaving with a small pouch in her hand. "Please count it." I opened the puch to make sure the gold coins were there and then made sure there were a good amount of silver coins but I''m not gonna bother counting them. I tossed them into my void space which still has the goblin weapons but I''ll hold on to them for now.
"Appreciate the business, by the way Karen would you like to have lunch with me later?" she started panicking as soon as I asked. This is fun. I''ll be back again to tease her. "Stop messing with my employees and leave." demanded Jack. I''ll have to make sure he isn''t around to ruin my fun.
I walked out of the room while invoking a fun little magic. I wish you luck Jack.
Chapter 5: Joy of Death
Third person POV on Earth
"Sir, I have an urgent report!" the secretary of defense ran into the president''s office without even knocking. "What is it? It must be important if you forgot basic manners."
"I''m sorry sir but I just found out he''s dead!" the president didn''t ask who he meant because he knew there could only be one person whose death would be this important. "Are you sure? Do we have body? I don''t want a repeat of last time."
"Yes sir, we have the body and we have matched blood type, fingerprints, dental records, and DNA. Its him sir!" the president started laughing and grabbed a bottle of whiskey. "This calls for a celebration, tell me, who killed him? They deserve a medal."
"Actually sir, he died in a car crash when another man, who was texting and driving ran a red light and hit his car. He was dead on impact." the president laughed even louder this time. "You''re telling me, that the person who didn''t die when 8 different countries sent their best soldiers, has just died in a random accident? This is freaking hilarious. I''ll have to set up a meeting with the other leaders, get me the VP and I wanna see his body." the president drank his glass after sitting down. The secreatry left to inforn the VP that the president wants to see him and to make arrangments to have the body brought over.
"Finally, the grim reaper is dead." the now alone president monologued.
Alex''s POV
After levaing the guild I made my way over to a blacksmith shop I saw yesterday. I didn''t go in yesterday so I hope the guy in here isn''t annoying.
I walked through the door creating a ring sound from the bell on the door. I walked up to the counter and waited for somebody to come out.
"Hey! Anybody in here!" I yelled to the back after getting tired of waiting. "I''m comin, hold yer damn horses." came a shout back.
A few seconds later a dwarf came from the back. He looked really strong and manly with his braided beard and ripped muscles. "What do ya want?" he seemed annoyed that I''m here, no wonder he doesnt have any customers in here.
"I wanna sell some weapons and then have a special one made btu I don''t know if you can handle it." I smirked. If I learned anything from fantasy novels and anime then I know dwarfs are a proud race and insulting their smithing ability will light a fire under their ass. "You think I can''t handle it?! Who do ya think You''re talking to lad!? This Brakku the strong can make any weapon as long as he has the materials. "Alright I believe you, let me sell these weapons first though." I dropped all of the goblins'' weapons on his counter causing quite a few to spill over on both sides. "Holy shit! There''s gotta be atleast 2000 of ''em!" he seemed a bit surprised at the amount but I''m sure he''s seen more. "I killed a few goblins and took these off them. How much can I get for them?"
"I''ll have to look through and appraise each one so its gonna take some time, can ya put ''em back in yer magic space thing and drop them in my workshop?" I nodded and made the weapons disappear, he motioned for me to follow.
"Alright just drop ''em over there and then tell me about the weapon ya want." he motioned to a corner before heading over to a work bench and waiting for my description.
"I wand 2 bracers with blades on the underside that can extend out at my will and retract back just the same." I described the assassin''s blade from a famous game franchise that I lovd playing when I got the chance. I had something similar in my last life although they weren''t exactly right, they were still my favorite weapons.
"What material do ya want the blade made out of?" he asked me but I''d rather he decide the materials. "You choose the materials for all of it, whatever you think would work best."
"This is gonna end up kinds pricey ya know? Even after taking out what those weapons are worth it would still cost ya a gold coin or maybe even a bit more." its a good thing I just made 4 gold coins. "That''s fine, don''t worry about the price. I''ll definitely pay you no matter what the total comes to."
"Alright then come back in a week and I''ll have them ready." I nodde and started walking out. Just before I made it out of the building he said one more thing. "A word of advice kid, be careful how you rile people up, certain dwarfs would have killed you just for saying they couldn''t handle making the weapon you want." oh that''s interesting.
"Don''t worry old man, I would never pick a fight I can''t win." I walked out after getting the last word.
Brakku POV
Damn brats. I''ll make the best bracers to ever exist in this world. Lets see here. I''ll use blue steel for the blade and then use leather and some steel for the bracer. He wanted it hidden so it can''t be too heavy.
This is an interesting design though, I wonder how he thought of it. He didn''t even react when I said somebody might kill him. Also what does that mean. "I would never pick a fight I can''t win." just because ya can win doesn''t mean ya can''t loose.
Fucking brats. I hate them. Atleast he gave me something interesting to make, I was gettin bored outta my mind just making fucking swords and spears for the government. Why the hell do they need so many in the first place? Whatever, they''ll have to wait, gotta make these bracers first.

I like that old man. I think he''ll do a good job on the hidden blades. Now time to get married to a vampire. Yea I''m gonna accept her offer, the advantages are pretty good and if anything happens I''ll incase her in eternal ice. Just kidding, I don''t know how to create eternal ice yet.
