《Fated Sword》 Introduction ¨x ¨y ¨{ ¨| ¨} ¨~ ¨€ Chapter 1 ¨€ ¨~ ¨} ¨| ¨{ ¨y ¨x It''s been 500 years since hell broke loose on the world. Now as far as I know the only society left is the Caribbean Sea Kingdom. The kingdom is divided into 5 separate districts. These districts have multiple towns and outposts protecting them, so when the monsters attack reinforcements can come quickly. Protecting these districts and the Kingdom are the magnificent magic Knights. The magic Knights are the few elite people in the kingdom that have the ability to use mana and magic. Most magic knights have noble blood because they have a higher chance to have powers and more mana. The most inner district is called the Royal District and is where all the Royals and Royal family lives. They are protected by the Cherry Blossom magic Knights led by Captain Everton. Most magic knights here are Royals. The second most inner district is the Elite District. This district has most nobles and powerful magicians and healers that don''t enter the magic Knights. This district is protected by the Sparkling peacocks magic Knights led by Captain Rose. The third most inner district is the technology district. This is where inventions are made to help protect the kingdom from monsters and are protected by the Horned Owls magic Knights led by Captain Louie. The fourth most inner district is the agricultural district. Here is where all of the kingdoms food is from due to the large area it encompasses and it not being the border. It is protected by the Black Ox magic Knights led by Captain Sun. The outer most district is called the Border District. This is where the least talented magical people are and poorest people. They are protected by the grey wolf magic Knights led by Captain Steyne.Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author. My name is Arthur Sage, and I''m a 14 year old orphan living in the border district. This is my story on how me and my friends change the world. ¨x ¨y ¨{ ¨| ¨} ¨~ ¨€ To be Continued ¨€ ¨~ ¨} ¨| ¨{ ¨y ¨x chapter 2: The Lake
¨x ¨y ¨{ ¨| ¨} ¨~ ¨€ Chapter 2 ¨€ ¨~ ¨} ¨| ¨{ ¨y ¨x Another person got caught and died last night. It''s a regular occurrence hear in the slums of the border district. Since we have a limited budget and the military and magic knights are stretched so thin, the monsters have regular raids on our district. Eventually the screams in the night you become numb to, and just sleep through it. Today my best friend, Liam, and I are going to be going out in the forest today to explore again. Him and I think alike in the way we both wish to be free. We don''t like being stuck inside the walls of our town, and it isn''t like they are helping or anything. Plus we aren''t exactly afraid of dying either. The way I see it dying free would be better staying alive in this hell hole. Liam also has amazing dark magic to help us survive anyway. We met at the gate, and he had a worried look in his eyes. I reassured him, "Relax, if any monster shows up you''ll definitely get away with your magic."This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. He looked at me and questioned, "What about you?" I responded dryly, "I''ll figure out a way. I''m a survivor, remember?" And with that we were off on our mini adventure. We tried to mostly stay in the trees out in the forest, until eventually we entered into a little clearing the middle of the forest. There was a good sized lake in the middle of the clearing. Fog was on top of the lake causing the area to be really humid, and frogs could be heard steadily ribbiting. I jumped down from the trees to investigate the lake. Liam shouted down after me, "Arthur I don''t know if that''s the best idea!" I didn''t listen though because it seemed like something was calling me in the lake. All of Liam''s warnings faded into white noise, and blended in with the frog''s ribbits. I waded further and further in, until I felt something pull me down. Even though I just got pulled in by something unknown, I wasn''t scared. Eventually I saw the person that dragged me in. It was a beautiful girl holding a sword in her hands. She wore a white dress, had snow white skin, and golden hair. She looked at me in the eyes with her beautiful blue eyes, and whispered something. She handed me the sword, and all of the sudden darkness. ¨x ¨y ¨{ ¨| ¨} ¨~ ¨€ To be Continued ¨€ ¨~ ¨} ¨| ¨{ ¨y ¨x
Chapter 3: The Way Back ¨x ¨y ¨{ ¨| ¨} ¨~ ¨€ Chapter 3 ¨€ ¨~ ¨} ¨| ¨{ ¨y ¨x I woke up in a hospital bed in the middle of the town. I looked around me, and I saw Liam sitting to my right looking down and slightly shaking from being cold. I was beginning to think that the lake and everything in it was just a dream until I saw the sword in my hand. I was kind of freaked and turned toward Liam and stammered out, "Umm Liam?" He looked up and happiness flashed his face as he exclaimed, "Arthur! Are you feeling okay? You shouldn''t sit up!" I ignored him and sat up anyway as I stated, "I feel fine. Now you tell me what the hell happened out there." His look went back to being cold as he explained to me what happened. He stated, "After you went into the lake, I went after you. I looked around everywhere, but I couldn''t find you anywhere, even underwater. After about an hour of looking and yelling, I started to hear noises and got afraid, so I started to head back out of the lake. When I got to the edge I saw you lying face up on the edge of the lake with that sword in your hand. I ran toward you, and started yelling for you to get up. Looking back yelling probably wasn''t the best idea because right after that the monsters started closing in. The first one was luckily only a smaller, faster one. He had a wolf-like body with a alligator head. I was terrified, and started to use my dark magic to create a barrier to distract him. I picked you up after that, and started running. I ran until my luck ran out. A giant magma monster popped out, and alligator head caught up to us. I took the knife out you gave me when we made our promise, and let out a few dark slashes at alligator head. I had mostly accepted my fate though. Then when the magma monster was about to stomp me, Captain Steyne and the Grey Wolves came in. Captain Steyne used his enhancement magic and immediately took down alligator head, and Vice captain Wayne and a girl that looked about our age used ice magic to take down the magma monster. It was really amazing!"Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions. At this I felt super disheartened, exclaiming "Dammit! You mean my idol Captain Steyne came in and actually fought to save us, and I was ASLEEP!?" Liam laughed and started again, "Even after all that, that is what you''re worried about? You really haven''t changed since entering that lake. Anyway, Captain Steyne came up to me, and complimented me for keeping you okay and fighting back with a knife. Then he immediately scolded me for being outside, and not taking the sword in your hand. I tried to explain to him that the sword was like glued to your hand, and in response he tried to grab then the strangest thing happened. When he put his hand on it a blast of energy went out and even knocked him away. He looked at you in bewilderment, and we met up with the larger group of Grey Wolves, and traveled back here." I sat there with my mouth wide open, "You''re telling me Captain Steyne looked at me with bewilderment? AWESOME! Wait are they still in the city?" Liam thought for a moment and responded, "They should be. They should be filling back up on materials at the barracks. Why?" I looked at him and smiled, "Because we are going to see them obviously. You can be my in with them." Before Liam could stop me I was already out of the bed and close to the door. When I got there, there was a big boom and earthquake. What I saw out of the door when I got back on my feet was terrifying. ¨x ¨y ¨{ ¨| ¨} ¨~ ¨€ To be Continued ¨€ ¨~ ¨} ¨| ¨{ ¨y ¨x Chapter: 4- Monster Attack ¨x ¨y ¨{ ¨| ¨} ¨~ ¨€ Chapter 4 ¨€ ¨~ ¨} ¨| ¨{ ¨y ¨x Before us, there were three giant monsters standing in front of a broken wall. Somehow, they broke the city walls. Immediately flares went up to alert the neighboring cities, and ask them for reinforcements. I looked in shock for a couple of seconds, then eventually started running toward them. Liam called to me and asked, "What the fuck are you doing!? Those are the biggest monsters we have ever seen. I struggled with even a smaller one!" I looked back to him and responded, "That''s near where the baker who sells the best bread in town is, with the cream in the center. We can''t just let them destroy that place! Besides I got a weapon now apparently, so I might as well use it. Having no weapon never stopped me from going outside, so why now, since I have one, should I not help fight the people who protect us everyday? Besides we owe that old baker for helping us. You can stay here if you want. You already experienced enough for two days." I started back running. For some reason my body felt a bit lighter. Before I knew it though, I heard feet moving towards me, and I automatically knew who it was. Liam called out, "Looks like I have to go since you would die if I don''t, and I really need someone to talk to on rainy days." I laughed and proclaimed, "Then let''s kick their asses together, and go to the capital and get into the hunters. Then we will be able to hunt these things on a daily basis, and finally be able to see the rest of the world!" Liam was always like this. He is super timid and shy, and he is always depressed and scared. I can''t blame him though. Who could? After everything he has been through, I''m surprised he is still sane. Both of his parents died when he was four years old to a monster attack on the outer edges of the city. Because even though the walls are there, the reality is that it''s just merely a buffer for the monster to delay the inevitable. He came to live with my parents and I after that. Bad luck just seemed to follow him though, as my parents died a year later the same way. I don''t blame him though, I accepted the reality that it happens when my uncle died that way, but when my parents died my hatred for the monsters grew insurmountable. I realized what Liam has been through, and I no longer have pity for him. I have empathy for him, and know what it feels like. Instead of his way of coping of being afraid of them though, I had the opposite emotion of wanting to kill them all and take back what is ours. You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version. We went to live with some family friends after that, near the outer edges. They treated us horribly. They constantly beat us, starved us, and even brought in prostitutes home while saying, "This is what you have to do to keep the human race alive." They chained them up most times to keep them from running away. I''ll always remember their screams of agony while I embraced Liam, and tried to block it out and go to sleep. That wasn''t the worst thing though. That wasn''t the thing that made Liam and I leave. We still valued a roof over our heads and food, so we attempted to ignore it. Besides we seemed to be eating a lot better than everybody else. When we came back to the house when we were 13 though, was when it all changed. We walked in that rickety old shack, and we found out exactly what we had been eating. We saw them chopping up a human hand, and placing it in a pot. We were horrified. Shock ensued. We ran and ran, until we couldn''t run anymore. We both threw up. What had we done? I was freaking out. Why would people do that to each other? I finally realized then that people could be as bad as monsters. I looked over at Liam, and realized he was freaking out more than me. I quickly put on a brave face a consoled him. I told him we were going to go take the hunters exam when we are 15, and we are going to take back what is ours. We will never have to worry about these kind of people again, and if we ever come across them we will give them what they deserve. That was when we made a promise to train, and be the strongest. We wandered around town begging after that. There wasn''t anything else we could do since we were so young. One day though that old baker took us in. His wife died in one of the monster attacks, but he still had a daughter named Lily he loved dearly. She seemed to take a liking to Liam. Which isn''t surprising most girls do, with his jet black hair, green eyes, fair skin, athleticism, and magic power. Me on the other hand having just black curly hair, blue eyes, rough skin, no magic abilities, and just muscle definition. That old baker made it tough for us, and we didn''t get along, but I feel like we are family now. We finally made it to the monsters, and they were even bigger in person. This was going to be tough. ¨x ¨y ¨{ ¨| ¨} ¨~ ¨€ To be Continued ¨€ ¨~ ¨} ¨| ¨{ ¨y ¨x Chapter 5: The First Fight! ¨x ¨y ¨{ ¨| ¨} ¨~ ¨€ Chapter 5 ¨€ ¨~ ¨} ¨| ¨{ ¨y ¨x The surrounding area around the monsters was all destroyed. The Baker''s house was already in ruins, and the monsters were already walking past it. The people living here all seemed to be dead or already ran away. It was just us and the monsters. Liam looked at me and asked, "Shouldn''t the Grey Wolves be here by now? Why aren''t they here? Where is the baker and Lily too?" I looked back at him and responded, "I think I heard the baker say he had to make a delivery today so he may be there with Lily, and maybe the Grey Wolves are just tired from all the adventuring out there and are sleeping in." I said all of this to try and lighten the mood and calm Liam down. In reality I never heard the old baker say that, and he was probably still in that flattened house now. We need to focus right now on the problems in front of us, and not on one''s in the past that we can''t prevent anymore. Maybe the old baker and Lily was able to avoid this shit anyway. No need to worry, right? The three monsters were huge. The biggest one was in the middle and flanked by the other two. The biggest one had a clubs for hands, and he seemed to be hot to the touch from all the steam coming off him. The steam also made it impossible to see any other features of him. The monster on the left looked like it was made of pure ice. It had spikes of ice protruding out of its shoulders, and it was shooting out spikes of ice from its fingers. The one on the right looked like it was a walking tree. He slammed his hands on the ground sometimes, and roots seemed to make a beeline to a building and engulf it. This was going to be tough, but we may be able to do it with Liam''s dark magic and my newly acquired sword right?A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. I looked over toward Liam and asked, "Soooo, which one you want to take first? The tree one looks most doable. What do you think?" He put on a brave face but his emerald eyes screamed out in terror. He looked at me and answered, "I''ll follow you wherever." The monsters were nearly upon us, as they were on their way to the middle of the city. I looked toward him and told him, "Then let''s go kick some ass." Just as we were about to take off into action against the tree monster, a huge explosion stopped us in our tracks. Captain Steyne and the Grey wolves were finally here. Captain Steyne took on the ice monster by himself, and Vice Captain Wayne and that girl took on the tree monster. Liam never mentioned how beautiful this girl was! She had snow white hair, with a braid on the left side of it, her skin was smooth and fair, her eyes were sky blue, and an athletic body. How could he leave something like this out in retelling the story of my unconsciousness. I need to talk to him about this after. No one took on the steam one in the middle though, but they seemed like they could handle it. Liam looked back at me and asked with pitiful eyes, "They seem like they can handle this. Can we please go now?" I looked back with regretful eyes and simultaneously answered, "I gue-" Before I could answer I spotted Lily with debris from the house on top of her. I tapped Liam on the shoulder and pointed to her. His eyes immediately went from desperate to determined. He turned to me and told me, "I''m not leaving her here! You can go if you want to." I looked back at him and put on a wry smile, "I''m with you all the way bro. We need a plan though." Just then, before we could speak another word, Captain Steyne finished off the ice monster, and it was falling straight back on top of Lily. She would be crushed! Liam without thinking immediately used his dark magic to shoot towards Lily to save her. The look on Captain Steyne''s face was pure shock. Right when he was about to get there though, the steamed monster everyone forgot about, reached out and was about to crush him with his club hands! ¨x ¨y ¨{ ¨| ¨} ¨~ ¨€ To be Continued ¨€ ¨~ ¨} ¨| ¨{ ¨y ¨x Chapter 6: The Start of the Road ¨x ¨y ¨{ ¨| ¨} ¨~ ¨€ Chapter 6 ¨€ ¨~ ¨} ¨| ¨{ ¨y ¨x I saw the steam monster hurling his club hand toward Liam and Lily. Liam couldn''t do anything because he was worried about the falling Ice monster, and Captain Steyne was too far away to do anything. Vice Captain Wayne and the girl were too busy with the Tree monster. It was up to me. What could I do to stop it though. I gripped the sword hard. My body started to feel a little lighter. I could feel a sort of static energy around me. Everything around me seemed to lose focus except for the steamed monsters club. My basic instincts took over my body. I launched toward the steamed monster in a blink of an eye. I instinctively swung the sword, and I somehow cut the steamed monsters arm clean off. I left a small crater where I took off from. I landed next to Liam and Lily as Liam just fended of the falling ice monster. Liam didn''t see what I did at the time, but Lily did. Her eyes screamed out shock as her jaw dropped. I looked down at my sword, and at my surging veins in my body. My body felt so light. I looked back up at the steam monster. It started to scream out in pain. I started to go into that super focus mode again. I could feel the static in the air rise again. The steam monster swung his other clubbed arm at me. This time it seemed to go even faster. I launched from the ground, and cut off the arm still. While the arm was still in the air, I leapt off the part I cut off where there was no steam. I launched straight at his head, and cut it off with one slice. I came back down as the monster fell behind me. My focus lightened up, and I became aware of my surroundings again. I looked around, and Liam and Lily were okay. Liam noticed what I did now, and he was in just as much shock as Lily now. Captain Steyne looked just as shocked as them. I smirked at this as I though, "That''s right Liam. I''m the impressive one now." Vice Captain Wayne and the girl just finished their battle with the tree monster. They froze its legs and arms, then cut off its head. I looked back down at the sword in bewilderment. What was with this sword? Whenever I swung this it was like I was slicing through air. It felt like me and the sword were one. Now that I look closely at the sword, it looks like it has some letters on it. They spell out Caliburnus. What the hell does that mean? While I was pondering this Captain Steyne and the others walked over to me. Liam was the first person to say something, asking me, "How the hell did you do THAT?!"This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. I smirked at him because I had to look cool in front of that girl and answered back, "I have no idea, but it was so cool wasn''t it. Call me one cut man." Lily was speechless, while Vice Captain Wayne and the girl seemed disinterested because they didn''t see anything. Captain Steyne exclaimed out though, "The youth in this town is so talented haha! Kid you are going to take the hunters exam in the capital a month from now right?" Oh my god! Was Captain Steyne talking to me!? I responded hurriedly, " Uh yes sir. Liam and I both are!" He smirked and responded, "Then you guys should travel with us. We are going down there to recruit some more crazies to join us. I''m Captain Steyne, this is Vice Captain Wayne, and that is the life giver Trina. She was a rejected noble due to her lack of her attack magic, but her healing magic is the best of the best. She got sent to us I guess as a throw away piece, but I think she is about your age though." She gave him an ugly look, with her eyes saying she didn''t want him saying that. Captain Steyne just shrugged it off. I took this as my chance and walked over and told her, "Well then we should get to know each other more then. I''m Arthur nice to meet you." She looked away and started to walk off saying, "I''m still and noble, and you are still a peasant. Know your place." Captain Steyne sighed and told us, "Sorry, she is like that sometimes. She is pretty nice if you get to know her though. We gotta go clog that hole in the wall up though. You kids did enough for today, so you just take it easy the rest of the day." Vice Captain Wayne and Captain Steyne left for the hole, while Trina walked back toward the barrack. Leaving just Liam, Lily, and I in silence. I looked at Liam and told him, "She''s clearly going to fall for me." He responded back sarcastically, "Clearly. Lily where is your dad?" Lily started crying and pointed toward the debris of the bakery. She managed to mumble out, "In... In... There." By this time the debris started to catch on fire. There wasn''t any way he could have survived. Liam looked at me for answers as he was holding Lily. I looked at them and confidently said, "Well, Lily looks like you are going to be coming with us to take the hunters exam. Don''t worry we will take care of you." Liam showed appreciation in his eyes as he comforted Lily. This was the start of our adventures. I wonder where this road will take us. We started to walk slowly toward the barracks to wait for Captain Steyne. ¨x ¨y ¨{ ¨| ¨} ¨~ ¨€ To be Continued ¨€ ¨~ ¨} ¨| ¨{ ¨y ¨x Chapter 7: The Challenge ¨x ¨y ¨{ ¨| ¨} ¨~ ¨€ Chapter 7 ¨€ ¨~ ¨} ¨| ¨{ ¨y ¨x I led the way toward the barracks. Liam stayed behind for a bit to comfort Lily. I honestly feel bad for her. This is her first time losing someone close to her, so she feels it more than Liam and I. Liam and I have lost so many people we aren''t even phased anymore by death. Death has become normalized for us, and we don''t let anyone really close to us anymore. We don''t grow attached to people anymore after the hand incident. The only time death could hurt us, is if it happened to either one of us. Maybe if Lily died it would hurt Liam now. I don''t know much about their relationship, or about love in general, but they seem close. I wonder if I''ll be able to open up to people like that again. I''m probably to ugly for it anyway, but that won''t stop me from trying to get a girlfriend to stick it to Liam. I finally reached the barracks. Caliburnas was resting on my shoulder as I walked. I really need to get a sheath for this thing in the future. When I got there every foot soldier was crowded around in a circle. I thought that they would be frantic from the attack, but I guess the Grey Wolves presence here made them calm. When I finally saw what they were looking at, I was kind of amused. They all were watching Trina practice swordplay. I guess she is trying to make up for her lack of attack magic with this. I didn''t know that nobles would have this kind of will power to get better by themselves. She was amazing using the sword too. She moved around like it was a dance. Gracefully dashing in and out, waving her sword around in very precise strikes at her target. She was more powerful than she looked too, cutting one dummy in half with a single swipe. I saw that this was my chance. I didn''t want to flirt with her though. I wanted to learn. If I could learn how to do that with my sword then I could be on another level. This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. I walked up behind her, and in a blur she had the sword pointed at my face. The crowd of soldiers started to let out an ohhh. I shot them a glance and stated, "Oh Shut up." One shouted back, "Tough talk for a little boy!" They started to laugh. Trina seemed to smirk at this. Once again I was reminded of my status. Despite having this new power, I was still a lowly peasant kid. When I go out there though, and defeat those monsters. I will rule myself. Trina looked at me with her smirk and asked, "Well what are you doing here little boy? Are you lost? Do I need to find your mommy? Oh wait she is probably off fucking another man to pay for the bills huh?" I winced in anger. I bit my tongue the best I could though, and told her, "Your the same age as me, and I was wondering if you could teach me some of those moves?" I purposely ignored the mommy remark. She shot me a glance when I mentioned her age and responded, "Didn''t come to flirt this time huh?" I smirked and responded, "Well if you want me too I can, love." She quickly responded, "Hell no. That goes for your training request too. Why would a noble like me teach a peasant like you?" As she started to walk off, I couldn''t hold it in any longer. I sarcastically responded, "I guess what I just saw was just for show then. If you could really do that then you would teach others, and maybe... Be with one of the inner city hunting guilds." She stopped dead in her tracks. The soldiers grew silent. I must have struck a nerve. I don''t know if this is a god thing or bad thing. I wanted her to stop, but she seems a bit different now. She turned around, and you could see the rage in her face. She doesn''t seem like she would be a good liar. She angrily declared, "Fine fluke. You want me to teach you a few moves? If you last 5 minutes with me in a sword spar, I will." This was definitely a trap, but if I don''t get any tips now I may never will by the time of the hunters exam. That may be the difference between passing and not. I stubbornly stated, "Let''s go then." The soldiers made a circle around us. I haven''t forgiven what she said about my mom either. If she wants to fight then I will. ¨x ¨y ¨{ ¨| ¨} ¨~ ¨€ To be Continued ¨€ ¨~ ¨} ¨| ¨{ ¨y ¨x Chapter 8: A Change ¨x ¨y ¨{ ¨| ¨} ¨~ ¨€ Chapter 7 ¨€ ¨~ ¨} ¨| ¨{ ¨y ¨x Trina and I backed up into forms. We stood about 15 yards apart. We stared at each other with cold, fury infused eyes. She moved her sword to the ready, and I did the same with Caliburnas. This time was different from the time with the monsters though. I didn''t feel extremely focused, and my body didn''t feel as light as it did then. I felt some energy, but nowhere near the amount I felt then. I must not be able to control it''s power yet. I tried swinging it back and forth to ready position over and over again to try and make it work, but it stayed the same. What could be different now? While I was doing this Trina at first looked confused, and then took advantage of the opportunity to attack. She was on me in an instant. The little increase in speed and strength was the only reason why I was able to block it. Any normal soldier with powers would surely die on the spot. I was constantly on the defensive. It was easy to see that our skill gap with a sword was massive. All her strikes were pretty and perfect. It reflected her perfectly, from her looks to her training and family. If I am to win this then I will have to fight dirty. I don''t know when I will get the chance to though. She isn''t letting up one bit. I had to think. She started to toy with me now. She just dodges my wide and wild swings and barely cuts a part of my body. She even somehow dodges the picture perfect way. I suddenly thought of an idea. I have enhanced strength, energy, and speed right now, so I can use that to my advantage. I finally made a move. I swung the sword down straight to the ground as hard as I could. She cut my arm good, but I managed to do it. I ended up making a small crater on the ground. Since she was close to me, she got caught in it, and her perfect stance was lost. She was thrown off balance a bit, and I took this chance to strike. I through a punch and hit her in the chest. She was thrown to the ground. I pointed Caliburnas at her anger scorn face. All my anger about her comments before came up to the surface. I stared back at her with the same intense anger and told her, "Don''t ever talk about my mom or my family ever again, and I won''t speak on your family. You owe me a teaching session now too though. I won''t flirt too much don''t worry."Did you know this story is from Royal Road? Read the official version for free and support the author. Suddenly she whipped her legs around and tripped me. I went tumbling down. I let my guard down. She held her sword at my face now. She looked down on me and told me, "I''ll say whatever I want. I''ll give you one hour of training tips, and that''s just because I''m a gracious noble and take pity on you." She started to walk off back to her room I assume. I just then realized all the people around us. I also noticed the cuts on my body were no longer there. What happened to them? Did she heal them? No way she did that. She seemed so angry. I got up, and I immediately got met by Liam and Lily. Liam grabbed me and shook me back and forth shouting, "What the hell did you think you were doing. We just got her and you started a fight!? Lily doesn''t need this type of stress right now. The last thing we need is to be out on the streets. If we get thrown out because of something stupid you did then I will never forgive you. Do you hear me?" I was in shock at this. Liam hasn''t ever acted like this before. I looked at Lily, and her eyes were still red from crying. The realization of what could have happened hit me. I was really selfish with this. I looked at Liam in the eyes and smiled a bit as I stated, "No problem bro. Don''t worry." We walked to the cafeteria, and Captain Steyne stopped us. Liam shot me a glance. I really hope this wasn''t about that fight. Captain Steven put his hand on my shoulder and told me, "You really are something kid... You managed to not only last in a sword fight with Trina, but beat her! Most people lose to her in a sword fight, even most hunters. You really are something. I''m going to keep a really good eye on you hahaha." I breathed a sigh of relief as he walked away. I gave Liam a thumbs up. He kind of shrugged it off as we went into the cafeteria. Tomorrow is the first day of the trip to the capital. ¨x ¨y ¨{ ¨| ¨} ¨~ ¨€ To be Continued ¨€ ¨~ ¨} ¨| ¨{ ¨y ¨x
