 Prologue - Embrace of the Sea

    "Wahuu, we''re finally free. Everybody get some drinks and some food and enjoy your time."


    Inside a cruise ship drifting through the sea, men and women of all ages are enjoying their time under the company of each other as they drink, eat and talk. Their celebration is done in a big hall that could be found in said cruise and hanging on the walls are decorations and banner that says a company name with a subtitle that says "Listed in Forbes top 50". While everyone is inside having the time of their lives, one lone man walks up to the side railings of the ship as he looks at the bleak sea that seems endless and bottomless in nature.


    As the man leans onto the railings, he hangs his head dead in view of the void os the sea. As he stays there he brings ups a bottle of champagne to his mouth and he chugs the last remaining remnants of the liquid in the bottle. As he finishes up he throws the empty bottle into the sea in an act of releasing his sorrows.


    *Sigh


    (I shouldn''t have done that should I, I don''t know if it''s illegal but probably is. Hopefully, no one saw me littering in the sea in an act of environmental damage )


    As the man wallows in the sight of the sea he hears a shout coming from the party, beckoning him to join up. Lifting up his body from the railings and turning his eyes away from the sea, he turns his sight back to the shining lights coming from the party. He turns his body and as he moves forward he somehow slips a falls backward and over the railings that really should be taller to prevent such happenings. As he falls into the sea, the fall knocks the breath out of him and he swallows some of the water. As he falls deeper into the sea he doesn''t struggle against the loving embrace of the sea as he falls deeper and deeper into it. Tendrils of darkness, seemling reaching towards him from the deep. Looking outwards to the ship and the small bits of light he could see from the moon, his vision gets dimmer and dimmer until no more light is seen.This book was originally published on Royal Road.     As the man enters complete darkness, he feels a heavy pressure all over his body starting from his head all the way to his legs. As his body is constantly under pressure, he starts eyes start to see light in contrast to the dark waters he was previously in. Unable to hold the pain any longer, he starts to scream in pain but what comes out instead was the wail of a baby as he enters the world for the first time. Though it was hard to tell because of the pain, he feels a hand holding his body as he was moved from one person to another until he finally ends in one person''s hands. The person that is now holding the newborn baby is Eliya Woods and as she holds her child in her arms, she calls his name.


    "Ah my son, your name will be Ouren Woods"

 Chapter 2 - Toddler me

    Under the light of the morning sun, one could see the sight of two children holding each other''s hand walking in a garden filled with bright green bushes in the shape of walls that create a maze with random assortments of flowers found all around. In the middle of this maze was a square of empty space that has a stone floor and is surrounded by candles that were unlit. This place was used by the matriarch of the family, the mother of our protagonist, Eliya Woods to meditate. Currently approaching this space are the two young children. One is a male child about the age of 4 while the other is a female child approaching the age of 7. The lazy looking little boy is Ouren Woods who has dark green short curly hair with drooping eyebrows and lazy looking green eyes. While the female child is Selena Woods a righteous looking child who has shoulder-length curvy read hair and burning red ruby eyes.


    ¡°Sis, where are we going"


    ¡°Hmph, of course, were going to the center¡±


    ¡°But mom told us not too¡±


    ¡°So what, I¡¯ll soon have my awakening by then she wouldn¡¯t be able to order me around as she wants¡±


    ¡°The awakening, hey sis what do you think you¡¯ll get¡±

    As the two children continue their idle talk, they constantly reach dead ends and at one point even found the entrance but after getting serious they had finally reached the center.


    "Finally here it is,... it looks unimpressive"

    But as they were reaching the final steps to enter the square a firey like an aura comes from the direction of the house, towering over the maze, even allowing them being in the center to see it. Then this aura launches up in the direction of the center of the maze and the kids react by stumbling a few steps backward. The red thing lands in front of them in a hard impact, though weirdly none of the plants or even the ground she landed on broke or even cracked. As the aura starts to dissipate it reveals the figure of Eliya a tall woman with the same facial structure of her daughter though just mature and with obvious muscles throughout her body, though it does seem weird for such muscley women to be so well endowed.


    "Ha, you kids are too young to be snooping up in her come one let''s leave"


    "But mom you told me I can see it when I''m awakened"


    "Yeah you can see it but you''re not awakened yet"


    "But I''m so close to it''s only a couple of days later"


    "And a couple of days you have to wait, let''s go"


    *Hmph


    One the sideline listening to this argument was the little green child whose face looks very sleepy but this is only a facade. Internally the middle-aged man in the little child was having a turmoil.


    (FUck me, that shit was scary. Seriously is this what it feels to see your whole life flash before your eyes. Will I really be able to do that in the future.)


    Even though he was in a panic, he let not of it out. His time working in companies and bullshiting during company presentations has taught him to always keep a straight face, they''ll suspect you less that way. As he sees the argument between the two starts to die down he decided to take advantage of the situation using his bodies cuteness to ward off any possible punishment by rushing up to his mom with his arms open wide to get a hug.


    "Mommy"


    And his mother naturally responds by picking him up and placing him between her arms with his head leaning on her shoulder with his hands wrapped around her neck.


    "Oh little Or, you shouldn''t get caught up in all of your sister''s escapades"


    "I know mom, I''m sorry"


    "Oh you''re the cutest, much cuter than your sister"


    "Hey!"


    "So Or have you done your homework"


    "Yup I''ve done the math but I''m having difficulties with the language one"


    "Okay let''s go back and I''ll help you," and then Elena turns her head towards her daughter and says "come on little brat you''ll enter once you have your awakening 3 days later"


    "Gr, fine"

 Chapter 3 - Circumstances of rebirth

    After my mother brought to my room, she left me to bring my sister to her room, making sure to get the bodyguards to make sure she doesn¡¯t leave her room. But before she left she told me¡­


    ¡°Or, take out your literature homework, I¡¯ll help you with it after taking your sister back to her rooms¡±


    ¡°But mom don¡¯t you have work to do¡±


    ¡°It¡¯s okay I can finish it later.¡±


    As I watch her leave with my sister, I close the door, heading towards my desk. Taking out my homework I put it on my table as I sit down in my seat and as I start to tackle the difficult parts that I was previously unable to do again. As I begin to think, my mind starts to wander back to my sister¡¯s awakening ceremony and what it spells to my future.

    The awakening ceremony. In this world, children who reach the age of 7 go through a special ceremony to make them capable of facing the outside world.


    This world, unlike my previous world, was filled with magical creatures coming in all sorts of forms and sizes. These magical creatures are the true rulers of the land, some races more peaceful than others. In general, magical creatures are called Raksasa, though identification and thorough study by academics have led to an index being made to name and identify specific species, with new additions constantly being added.


    These magical creatures hold in them incredible powers, capable of wiping out the masses and threatening humanity with extinction. Humans had been able to survive by taking care to avoid catching the unwanted attention of these beasts. Luckily most Raksasa were more territorial in nature and kept to their land instead of expanding and conquering. That''s why as long as humans were paid due diligence and avoided gaining the ire and attention of a powerful Raksasa, they would survive. As humans ran around, sneaking from one place to another, though death is a frequent thing, they had been able to rise in numbers and had hopes for a future.If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen.     That was until they met a certain race of creatures called the Sihir. Unlike the other creatures, they did kill humans and it was not out of spite or any need but out of pure pleasure. To the Sihir, humans were like a form of drug and they were the addicts. They searched and hunted for humans with no stop and as a result, the future of humanity seemed bleak as their race neared extinction.


    That was when humans discovered Fos. The exact history of how this happened was unknown, the only thing known was that this discovery led to a rapid growth of human forces with most living humans working together, sharing resources and their knowledge of Fos to fight back. Even now, new discoveries are being made and then shared among the various institutions studying Fos to the public. One of which was the discovery that the optimal time for a person to awaken the Fos within themself was at the age of 10, which could be lowered down to 7 using special resources. Before this, many families and groups had children awakened at younger ages, often resulting in their deaths or a defected body.


    Fos as an energy source, in simpler terms, brought out the inner beast of a person, both figuratively and literally. With it, people have been able to fight back not only against the Sihir but all manners of magical creatures. With it, humans were able to create a small haven for themselves in a small peninsula of the world. The edge of there push is called Gunhirs Wall, the location of the last and greatest push humanity has had to drive out as many Raksasa, especially the Sihir, as they could from their lands. While some still reside and roam the lands, the overall territory of the peninsula is under the hands of humanity. A big reason for their advancements stopping is The Forest of Gehenna, a forest a bit further away from the wall in which resides a whole host of new and extremely dangerous creatures.
