《Awakening of a Monster》 Chapter 1 - Awakening A tall boy was punching a heavy bag with every he had, causing the bag to rock back and forward quite intensely. Every now and then the boy would mix in a few kicks, elbows and knees into his routine, each of them flowing smoothly into a deadly dance of violence. Sweat was flung off of the boy as he whipped his leg with furious momentum into the bag sending it back into the air with enough force to carry it until it banged against the ceiling. The tall boy''s name was Amon. Despite his name, he was a normal teenager who practiced Martial Arts, although he did practice them a bit too fanatically. Amon picked up a towel and took off his sweaty shirt showing his incredibly well-muscled chest, shoulders, and abs. He looked like some kind of muscle made fortress as he stood there, calming his heart from the earlier training. After wiping all the sweat off his body, he moved his hand through his blood red hair to get it out of the way of his eyes as he ran upstairs; he needed to get a move on. He quickly showered, brushed his teeth and then started to get dressed in some casual clothes, all before the doorbell of his house went off. "I''ll get it!" a mature and smooth voice shouted up to the rapidly dressing Amon upstairs. Amon heard his Mom welcome the guests into the house as he finally put on his clothes and rushed downstairs. He was greeted with a pillow straight to the face as he entered the living room. "Oh? How come Mr. Martial Arts didn''t stop that?" He heard a sarcastic and humor-filled voice talk to him. Amon couldn''t stop the grin from spreading on his face as he looked at his best friend, Jax. Jax was your typical pretty boy, blonde hair, blue eyes and around 5"11 with pale skin. Despite the differences you might see between a pretty boy and a martial arts fanatic, they got on like a house on fire and were known as the Dos Diablos at their high school due to them being famous for being untouchable. Jax was the brains behind it all. Speaking to people, making plans to get back at people and also talking their way out of trouble were his jobs. While the 6"4 and muscular Amon was, well, the muscle. Anyone who tried anything on their little gang in school was completely clobbered by Amon. Together they were unstoppable. And this wasn''t only a business kind of relationship, Amon and Jax had grown up together being part of 4 people who were childhood friends, so them being partners in their antics at school was only normal. Speaking of the group of 4 childhood friends, the other two were sitting next to Jax. One of them was even the next one to speak up after Jax. "See, I told you that you shouldn''t have put all that time into practicing useless stuff like that. No wonder you''re so dense." An energetic voice spoke matter-of-factly. This was Molly, Amon and Jax''s 3rd childhood friend and also Jax''s girlfriend. She had black hair, pale skin like her boyfriend and royal blue eyes. She was quite the beauty, and to be honest, she had to be to keep Jax''s attention for as long as they''d been going out. Before they got together, Amon had seen Jax juggle women like some kind of master and then break up with them in a few days because it was boring. And while this may make him sound like some kind of bastard, well, he was and he never tried to hide it. This was the person who wanted to rule over the school with his best friend in their first year of high school, he was never going to be a saint. Back to Molly, she was a very outgoing girl. Back when they were kids, she was the glue that kept them together after Amon (Who was still taller and bigger than them, even back then) took some toys off of Jax or when Jax played pranks on Amon. She''d said on many occasions how this was her second family, the one she''d gotten to choose. Later on, Amon and Jax learned that she didn''t have the nicest life at home, leading to her treasuring her friends much more than a normal person. It was soon sorted out after Jax and Amon went to ''talk'' to her dad. Amon may have lost himself a bit on that night, even Jax was a bit frightened of him after it. Regardless, Molly was overjoyed with her home life improving; Jax got some blackmail-worthy material and made sure her dad kept quiet about the whole ''talk'' incident. After this, Jax and Molly soon got together much to the delight of both Amon and the last person in the group; Lilith. While Molly was the outgoing, confident beauty, Lilith was the petite, shy kind of beauty. She had blonde hair, light green eyes, and tan skin, she was incredibly beautiful, being considered apart of the 4 Beauties of Holyton Highschool along with Molly. Each of them even had their nicknames Lilith the Shy Beauty and Molly the Valiant Beauty. Lilith had a put on her blushing face as she spoke up in Amon''s defense "I bet neither of you could take Amon on in a fair fight, so there''s his advantage in practicing!" her shy voice seemed to hold a massive determination for the subject she was speaking about; Amon. The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. Amon always protected the shy and timid Lilith from all dangers, like some kind of personal armor for her. Girls jealous of her beauty, bullying her? Amon to the rescue. Boys harassing her with ulterior motives? Here comes Amon. You get the message. "Haha! Do we live in medieval times, Lilith? Martial Arts are things of the past, now is the time for brain power." Acting like some kind of villain from an anime he''d probably saw, Jax had a smirk of mock disdain on his face. Amon patted Lilith''s head to tell her to let it go, Jax always won arguments in the group. Lilith accepted the pat on the head like a kitten with her eyes closed. Luckily, Amon''s pat moved her hair to cover her face, otherwise, the rest of the group would have seen the drunken satisfaction on Lilith''s face. "Okay, okay. Let''s do what we planned to do..." Amon dramatically pointed the Tv remote at the Tv and switched it out of standby mode "Let''s play some video games!". This was one of the things all 4 of them liked to do together, it really brought them all together. Otherwise, how would a pretty boy, a battle addict, a happy-go-lucky girl, and a shy girl all become best friends? According to the agreement they''ve had since first playing games together, they play a game from each of their favorite genre''s. First up is Jax''s favorite; FPS games or for those who don''t know the abbreviation, First Person Shooter. Despite not liking them as much as Jax, Amon and the girls all enjoyed playing it and even though they weren''t frequent players of the game, their experienced gaming hands helped them get used to the controls quite easily and get to the top of the leaderboard with Jax. After playing that game until they got bored, they moved onto Amon''s favorite games. And what a surprise that they were fighting games. To no surprise, Amon completely stomped the others in a King of the Hill match and to such a degree that the agreed to move on to the next game, making Amon sulk a little which caused Lilith to pat him on the head with a rare smile of bliss on her face. Molly''s favorite kind of games were surprisingly strategy based war games. This made the entire room quiet as they all concentrated on besting the others, even Amon could do well at this kind of game seeing as it was just glorified fighting, something he excelled in. In the end, Amon, Jax, and Molly had a massive clash of soldiers for the winning tile. Lilith had been defeated by a rather ruthless move on Molly''s part, so she went off to go get something to eat. In the end, Jax and Amon lost to Molly in a spectacular way. Molly and Jax started talking after that, which then progressed to flirting and then doing couples stuff similar to pillow talk or sweet nothings. Amon, not wanting to be a part of any of that, lay back on the sofa and closed his eyes for a while, trying to ignore the obvious lover talk right next to him. After a short amount of time, he smelt something delicious above him causing him to open his eyes. In front of him was a plate being held by Lilith. "I made you something while I was in there." Amon could hear the bashfulness in her voice and could hide his smile as he took the plate off her. Amon could only lament over his late master''s words "Focus on Martial Arts, you brat, and then women will come flooding towards you." If it weren''t for his still massive room for improvements, Amon would have asked Lilith, a girl obviously into him, out on a date. Sadly, he was a filial disciple and wouldn''t go for women until he''d reached his limit. (Author note: Don''t worry, that attitude won''t last for long~ xD) Holding the plate in front of him, he saw something beautiful; A turkey, tomato and lettuce sandwich which seemed to be seductively calling his name. "Thanks, Lilith, you''re the best." Amon''s deep, rumbling voice caused Lilith to blush even further. "Ooo why don''t you two get a room?~" Jax''s teasing voice sounded out towards Amon and Lilith who was sitting next to him. Amon scoffed as he looked at Jax "You can talk, Loverboy." his retort made everyone in the room laugh. After this, he started eating his sandwich with a grin on his face, the vibe of the room being quite joyous at the minute. But all good things must come to an end. Rejoice, your world is being welcomed into the Galactic Empire''s Systerm. Prepare yourself, the system will be implemented in your world now. Every one of you Terrans will either awaken a power/ability or a bloodline/physiology. For those of the latter, prepare yourself, it will hurt. Countdown starting, 1 Earth Minute and 30 Earth Seconds and counting... 1 minute 29... "Woah! Are you guys seeing this as well?!" Jax jumped up and away from what Amon suspected would be the writing that must have appeared in front of him. To Jax''s question, they all nodded. Amon being the calmest, with Molly and Lilith both shaking. He and Jax were only calm because of some training they''d undergone with Amon''s Master. But even then, Jax looked even paler than usual and had a nervous expression on his face. Amon''s eyes were closed into slits as his instincts all screamed that something very dangerous was happening. "Kids, are you all alright?!" Amon''s mom came charging into the room. Obviously, she could also see the writing and feared she''d gone insane but after seeing the terror on the girls'' faces and the nervousness on the boys'', she knew she wasn''t crazy. They sat there in silence, not being able to move due to a mixture of nervousness and fear. As the timer finally hit zero, all 5 of them flinched at the text in front of them. Amon sighed at his text. Luckily for you, Terran, you''ve awakened an incredibly rare Bloodline/Physiology, prepare for the awakening process and then you will be told your Bloodline/Physiology! Something told Amon that this was going to hurt. As he looked at Lilith, he saw her fearful face had descended into a terror-filled face, Amon figured that she also got a Bloodline/Physiology. He pats her on the head and gave her a comforting smile. "It''ll be okay, Lilith. We''ll both survive--" Before he could finish, his body locked up, every fiber in his body screaming that he was in danger. His blood ran cold. And then the pain started. Chapter 2 - Changes Amon fell off the sofa and onto the floor along with Lilith. Quickly, Jax, Molly, and his Mother rushed to the both of them. While the 3 of them were asking if they were alright, Amon and Lilith were convulsing on the floor, the pain taking away their ability to control their bodies and speak. Amon felt all the fibers in his body screaming under the pressure they were under like it was all being pulled apart. "ARGHHHH!" Amon could only let out a bestial howl as the tension finally snapped in him. His bones snapped in half with sickening cracks, his tendons and ligaments tore with sounds similar to a whip snapping and his muscles were wiggling under his skin like many miniature snakes moving in all sorts of directions they weren''t supposed to. Worst of all was his nerve endings and blood vessels. They were torn up like wet paper in a blender, causing monumental amounts of pain to Amon. His blood seemed to be pushing it''s way out of his body from his destroyed blood vessels. Too everyone surrounding Amon''s horror, his blood was coming out of his pores and pooling on the floor and then simply disappearing only to be replaced by more blood that came out of Amon. By now he''d stopped moving and screaming entirely, he just lay there as red demonic tattoos showed up on his bronze skin giving off an aura of an Ancient Tyrant, full of bloodthirst. His organs were all mush, his bones had pretty much disappeared, his muscles, tendons, and ligaments were all in torn pieces. He was practically dead at this point but suddenly a blood red energy, along with a black energy came and started repairing everything. The way it rebuilt everything was with the goal of making it much, much better. The muscles were the first to be remade, they looked quite similar to how they were before but they seemed more like red gems full of inhuman power now, with black runes rotating on them slowly but with each rotation it gave off an Imperialistic aura of Majesty and Power and the muscles became stronger because of the aura release. The tendons and ligaments were grown back black but seemed to act how they''d normally act but they seemed to be incredibly flexible but still filled with amazing amounts of explosive power. They also had runes spinning on them, but they were red in coloring but they had the same effect as the black runes. The bones, like the ligaments and tendons, were rebuilt with a black color. They seemed as hard as diamonds or the hardest of metals, they even had a metallic sheen on them which further amplified the impression that they were indestructible. The red runes on the bones seemed to be even more complex than the others, with mixtures of red and black giving off an aura of vigor and extreme power. The marrow in the bone was pure red, along with black runes on it. Each little bit of marrow seemed like it could provide endless amounts of vitality. As the marrow started to furiously produce blood, the blood vessels were made next. Every blood vessels were now red, with black crack-like lines running alongside it. Each individual vein and artery seemed like it could hold tenfold or even twentyfold the pressure of what it used to be able to. The nerves were soon back again, they looked the same but from the aura they were giving off, one could tell that they were vastly superior to the nerves of the past. As the organs were being made, the process slowed down quite a lot, with each organ taking tenfold the time it took for any of the other things to be rebuilt. The digestive system was the first to be rebuilt and it gave off an insatiable aura as if Amon could eat the world with this stomach and still not be satisfied. It also seemed vastly superior in its ability to absorb nutrients from food. It was red, with black runes on it. Other organs such as the kidney, the liver, and the pancreas, were all made soon after the digestive system and then the rest of the cardiovascular was starting to be rebuilt.Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. By the time it was finished, any doctor would be shocked if they saw it because of how simply inhuman it was. He didn''t just have one heart anymore but two instead. They seemed vastly superior to his past heart and even if he only had one of them, he''d be miles better but now that he had two of these superior hearts it was unimaginable how much better he was in terms of stamina and whatnot., the two hearts also shone with an intense red light. Both of the hearts had black runes rotating on them. As the blood thrummed through the new system, every cell in Amon''s body burst out in a magnificent display of vitality. Each drop of blood was much denser than it was in the past, meaning it could carry more nutrients, oxygen, and energy. The pulmonary system was next to be rebuilt. Much like the cardiovascular system, there were two pairs of lungs in Amon''s chest, both as black as night and filled with blood-red runes projecting an aura of vitality. Outside of Amon''s body Jax, Molly, and his Mom were surrounded by lights of different colors. Jax had a red and white aura surrounding him, the red was different to the runes in Amon''s body as Jax''s red was more of a fiery one instead of blood red. Molly had a green aura along with a white one, while his Mom had a dark blue aura along with a brown one. As the auras sank into their skin, they all looked at Amon and Lilith. Amon had grown to an astounding height of 7ft and had a single black horn protrusion on the center of his forehead. He ears had grown pointed and his teeth, other than the front four on the top and bottom, were all pointed like a predators teeth. His face seemed more handsome but at the same time more sharp and fierce, like a wild animal. Lilith, however, hadn''t changed much, she just looked incredibly soft all of a sudden, kind of like jelly. Soon after the aura''s disappeared from the three peoples body''s, both Amon and Lilith started to show signs of waking up. Amon got up first, opening his now blood red reptilian eyes, only to realize he was much taller than before. Then he felt the power coursing through every fiber of his body like he could tear apart metal with his bare hands. He looked down and felt his thickly corded muscle with a curious expression on his face. It felt like touching warm metal cables that had been packed together to seem like a person''s musculature. Amon felt indestructible and unbeatable with this level of physical prowess which was so incredibly superior to his past self that it was like comparing a child to a special ops soldier. Lilith got up and also started flexing her hand, feeling the power within it. She''d obviously been boosted by her physique change as well. Before any of them could talk, more text appeared in front of each of them. Congratulations! You have fully completed your physique and bloodline change! You awakened a Demon-Dragon Hybrid physique and bloodline (The name will be withheld for now.) This grants you immense physical prowess and talent, along with unimaginably dense and pure Magic Power. As is with everyone, you will get 2 boons and 1 con. For you they are: First Boon- Modified [Eight Demonic Gates Breathing Technique]. Second Boon- Natural-Born Warrior. This boon gives you a massive advantage in combat, taking away your fear and hesitation and replacing it with excitement and passion. Naturally stronger than others of your species, as a warrior should be. First Con- Battle Addict. You feel a constant urge to fight, while out of battle you feel bored and restless. During a battle, you are a Berserker, a madman who slaughters all those in his way. But the more you participate in a fight, the more rationale you lose. "Amon, is that you?" Jax looked at the slightly inhuman looking Amon and spoke with a nervous shake in his voice. Amon who wasn''t fully sure with the changes in his body looked confused but still answered anyway "Yeah, it''s me." Looking at their lack of a pale face from pain, Amon guessed something asked them something "I''m guessing you guy''s awoken Abilities?" All three of them nodded their heads and then went to speak about their ''Class'' as they call it. "Well, I unlocked a class called Spear Hero. It gives me a boost with all polearms, despite its name only including one, and also gives me a major potential boost." Jax looked quite proud as he talked about his class "Oh yeah, almost forgot. It gives me a boost to my physical capabilities straight away." he said this while flexing his slender arm. Molly hit him on the back of the head as she spoke about her power "I got something called Sword Hero. It''s pretty much the same as Jax''s class but instead of Polearms, it''s bladed weapons." While Molly didn''t seem proud of her class, she did seem satisfied that her class seemed to share a connection with Jax''s. Before his Mom could speak, Amon could feel bloodlust aimed at everyone in the room before 3 big green figures burst into the room. Chapter 3 - Changes in the World and What Happens Next Each of the green looking monsters was 6"5 and incredibly muscular. While this intimidated Jax and the others, Amon looked at them with an intense amount of disdain, "Weaklings." Amon''s powerful voice growled out at the green people, who Amon guessed should be Orcs. Him speaking that word elicited roars from the Orcs, but deep within their eyes, you could see the trepidation and fear at the being in front of them. Amon made eye contact with Jax and motioned with his head for him to take Molly and his mother to the kitchen to see if they could fashion any weapons. He''d deal with the immediate threat. Jax took ahold of Molly and told his mom to follow him as he dashed into the kitchen. Meanwhile, Lilith still seemed to be distracted by her changes and didn''t quite notice the three green men in front of her. Amon, however, glared at all of them, for some reason he felt rage at their audacity on barging into his home rather than fear for the 3 Orcs. "Get out, now." Amon''s voice sounded incredibly fierce like it was in a permanent growl. "Ha! We ain''t goin'' anywhere, friend. We''re here to enjoy our new bodies and it looks like there are 3 women here that we can enjoy!" The bulkier of the 3 stepped forward and spoke in an incredibly disgusting voice. His tusks were sticking out of his lower lip and the rest of his teeth were shown through his ugly smile. "Urgh!" that smile didn''t last long though as he felt a vice-like grip tighten around his neck before he was lift off his feet like a small chick. He felt something sharp piercing into his neck from the fingers holding him. "Oh? Do I have claws? How useful." Amon''s voice sounded casual but the boiling wrath underneath it was hidden to none. The other two orcs were shaking as they saw their big brother being lifted up by one arm effortlessly, like some kid. Amon''s muscles wiggled under his skin as he flexed his arm crunching through the Orc''s neck, killing it. "Arghhh! Brother!" The Orcs seemed physically distressed by the death of the bulky Orc. So much so that they charged at Amon with red eyes filled with hatred. Big mistake. Amon dropped the Orc he was holding and nonchalantly walked towards the charging Orcs. Even though he seemed to be walking at a normal speed, he just appeared in front of them and grabbed both of them by their heads. "Crack!" They were dead. Amon looked at his now clawed hands in surprise. ''It''s so easy to kill. This physique change has changed more than just my body, my mind has been changed as well, not by much but just enough that I do actually seem like a demon.'' Amon mused to himself mentally as he flicked his hands about like he was trying to get some water off them but instead of water being flicked off, it was green blood, brain, and bits of dense skull. As he flicked the ''dirt'', as Amon thought it was, off his hands, Amon''s friends and mother came back into the room. What they saw shocked them. Those 3 bulky and gigantic Orcs were dead. One with its throat like it''d been torn out by a beast and the two others looked like their heads had been put under a hydraulic press. When they saw the green blood dripping from Amon''s claws, they all nervously gulped. They knew he was still the same Amon, but his Demonic appearance caused something like a primal fear to spread through their bodies. Amon looked at his claws. They were black, like his bones so he guessed they were an extension of them. They also had the red runes on them. Weirdly, the runes seemed to be absorbing the blood on them, sending some kind of energy to the rest of the runes in his body. He concentrated on the claws and retracted them without much effort, returning his hands to their more normal form. "Sorry about the mess, Mom. I''ll clean it up in a bit." Amon''s voice sounded apologetic as he wryly smiled at his mom. His mom was shocked out of her stupor and she ran up to Amon to check if he was alright. Despite his appearance, she still knew he was her son. A mother''s love was boundless.Unauthorized content usage: if you discover this narrative on Amazon, report the violation. Jax and Molly both realized this as well when they saw the wry smile on Amon''s face; his appearance may have changed and he may have some unsavory personality traits now, but he was still their childhood friend. No one noticed Lilith''s lust filled eyes as she looked at Amon, a furious blush upon her face and her breathing heavy like she''d just been running. A smile spread on her face as she formulated a plan of sorts. A plan to finally confess something to Amon. 2 weeks later~ Amon sat on the sofa of his living room, talking to Lilith about her changes from the awakening. "So, you awakened a dual bloodline like me as well? What''s in it?" Amon was curious about this because he''d felt an affinity to Lilith ever since the awakening had happened. Lilith seemed quite shy as she averted her gaze because of Amon''s steady gaze. "It''s...it''s a bit complicated, Amon." her voice was incredibly bashful as she spoke. Amon looked at her with a confused look, wasn''t it only her race? What was there to hide about it? After a while of him staring and her squirming, Lilith spilled the beans. "My bloodline is a Demon/Slime Hybrid..." Her body seemed to droop a little when she said that confusing Amon before he finally realized. Unlike him who pretty much only got vastly boosted physically and made into some kind of super killer, Lilith had been coping with a whole change to the way her body works, like a whole new puberty. "Oh. Well, you know, it''s a pretty strong combo. You and I can be powerful demons together, right?" Amon smiled at Lilith and it seemed to cheer Lilith up quite a lot. He didn''t miss the absolute bliss in her eyes either, but he shrugged it off, for now, it could be something brought on by the changes. He knew that he was experiencing things he''d never experienced before. Such as intense feelings of superiority, arrogance, and bloodthirstiness, leading Amon to have to control his emotions with a much more iron grip than previously. In other news, the world was doing surprisingly well. A world-wide company had come in and helped sort most things out. Amon recalled that the Company''s name was Genesis or something. They came in and killed the big monsters threatening to destroy cities. Helped people get used to the new changes in their body''s and also get ready for the abilities from their classes. Jax, Molly, and his Mother had all been taken onto a special course called the "Hero Course". Seemed that they were part of a 5-man team that represented Earth''s strongest. When the Genesis Agent came to Amon''s house the day after he killed the Orcs to collect his friends and mother, Amon didn''t miss the intense disdain and disgust the man had shown Lilith and him, like they were nothing but dirty animals to him. Amon could instinctively feel that the man was weaker than him, so he nearly flew into a wild rage at the disdain showed to him from someone weaker than him but soon reeled himself in when he thought about the implications it would have on his friends and Mother going to the Hero course. Today was the day when an Agent was set to come to pick up Amon and Lilith. According to Genesis, everyone with battle-ready classes or physiologies had to undergo intense training, like some kind of military, so they could prepare for what was to come. Whatever was meant to come wasn''t spoken about by Genesis, they said it was too soon to speak about what was coming so they could only be vague about it. *Knock knock!* Amon got up to answer the door and left the timid Lilith of the sofa. Answering the door, Amon saw a beautiful woman, who would look quite normal if it weren''t for her height of 6"6 and two white horns on her head. "Woah, you are a big guy! It''s not every day that this big sister gets to see someone taller than her." her voice seemed quite rough, but Amon was unsure if that was because of her dialect or her natural voice. Amon made way for her despite how it annoyed his new instincts to move out of the way for others. The woman walked into the house with a self-confidence that just grated on Amon. As they made their way into the living room, Amon saw Lilith cutely glaring at the beautiful woman who walked in with him, causing him to grin. "Okay, let''s get right into business." The woman motioned for Amon to sit down and then continued talking "You two have been selected for Genesis'' best military training camp! Your magical auras are incredibly strong, pure and dense and we need talents like you two to help with what''s to come." "What is to come then? What''s gonna happen?" Amon spoke with an annoyed look on his face, even before he changed he hated when people dance around a point instead of just saying it. The change only made him show it. "Ohoh! Calm down there, tiger. I''m sure you could guess what''s to come when I mentioned we''d be sending you to military camps, right?" her confidence was spurred up again when she saw Amon getting angry. Lilith finally spoke up. But what surprised Amon was that there was no sign of the timid and shy Lilith of the past, she spoke with resolve and confidence now. "So the thing coming is a war?" The woman nodded "Yeah, a war like you wouldn''t believe. A planetary war, or a war between planets. Well, that''s all I can really say to you. Sorry." She seemed sincerely apologetic which eased Amon''s annoyance with her. After this brief, but slightly annoying conversation, Amon went to pack some extra stuff, while Lilith had already done her packing. Soon after this, they set off with the lady, who they found out was called Sasha, for the Military training camp. Amon felt an odd excitement as they set off there. He hoped there would be plenty of people to fight. Chapter 4 - Breakthrough into Demonic/Draconic Cultivation All three of them got into a limousine filled with plenty of stuff to pass the time of the long ride to the camp. Amon ducked his head and crossed his legs, figuring that he might as well meditate for the ride. Amon started breathing like some sort of ancient beast as he started running the technique, all the magic energy around them started to flow into Amon''s nostrils and mouth furiously. Sasha was shocked as she looked at Amon, his breathing was utterly terrifying, sending her instincts into overdrive and causing her to tense up like she was under attack. The leftover energy that couldn''t get into his nose made faint rune flow and rotate around his body, mainly red and black runes with a few runes that looked like a mixture between the others. Each rotation of a rune brought more energy to Amon''s nose and mouth, while also giving out a more and more powerful aura of extreme power. Inside Amon, all the energy was traveling to the bottom of his spine gathering into a small, dense ball of black and red energy. This was the first part of the [Eight Demonic Gates Breathing Technique] which was to open the first gate, The Gate of the Demon. It gave the ability of Enhanced Muscle Usage, seeing though as even with his martial arts background, Amon still couldn''t use all his strength, only about 60%. If he awakened the first Gate, he would gain the ability to use 100% of his power and even beyond that as long as his body could handle it. Amon controlled the ball of energy to into surrounding the lower part of his spine and after he steeled his resolve and preparing himself, he pushed the concentrated Energy into his spine. As soon as the energy started pushing on his spine, he jolted from the pain but made sure to not make any noise or show his pain, he had his pride to consider after all. Inside his spine, unlike a human there was a small red and black crystal, this was a Gate, once it was broken it would give out amazing amounts of energy which would then change his body to give him abilities or boosted attributes. Amon had been doing this for 2 weeks straight and he''d already gathered quite a lot of energy in his lower spine, the energy he just added was the icing on the cake and now he was finally confident that he could open the gate. He started to gather the other bits of energy in his spine and started to grind the small pearl-like gate to pieces. Outside of his body, from the other two''s perspectives, the energy around Amon started to go a bit chaotic as his body started to give off an aura of a Demon King, full of power and vigor. Sasha looked at him with fear, like he was some kind of giant beast, while Lilith looked at him with lust and pride. The runes around Amon started to slowly seep into his body in preparation for something. The small pearl in his lower spine had many minute cracks in it and Amon couldn''t help but feel that it was much too easy to break the Gate. If any Demons in the Galactic Empire heard him say that, they''d throw up blood at his nonchalant arrogance. All the runes that were once outside his body were coating everything in his body, like a blanket tightly wrapped around a person. The Gate finally cracked and broke apart, and Amon fully activated the energy like some kind of grinder and completely crushed the Gate to dust. In place of the Gate, a ball of inexhaustible energy was in its place and the energy ball constantly kept spewing energy out into Amon''s body. The first wave swept over Amon''s body, improving the muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments so that they could work in perfect sync and fully unleash their full potential. Then, against Amon''s expectations, a second wave of energy spread out from the core of energy. ''I thought there was only supposed to be one wave of energy?... Wait. Does the modified version include something for my Dragon part...!?''Support the author by searching for the original publication of this novel. His thought process was interrupted by the second wave of energy washing his body of all impurities, like a furious fire as the energy burnt any impurity it found. But surprisingly that wasn''t all it did, it seemed to enhance the vitality held in each little cell of everything in Amon''s body, boosting his already monumental vigor into even more unfathomable heights. Power radiated off of Amon as a look of bestial arrogance slipped onto his face with a prideful smirk with it as well. His eyes opened and showed the boundless confidence and momentum he held. With his bronze skin, red hair and eyes and along with his horn, he really did seem like some kind of imperious and powerful Demon Prince. Looking at the time on his phone, he was shocked to see that it had taken him an hour to break through; it had only felt like a few minutes to Amon. "H-Hohoho, such good timing. We''ve arrived." Sasha spoke out. Amon didn''t miss the tinge of fear in her voice as she spoke, which further fed his new Demonic ego. As Amon was getting out of the car, he stopped moving in shock. He felt an odd new-found balance. As he was investigating this new find, he realized what birthed the new feeling. "Oh? Do you have a tail? Why''d you keep it hidden?" Sasha asked a question, which Amon ignored as he looked at the tail that had to pierce through his jeans. It was black, had a slender design with a forked tail-ending which looked quite sharp like it could easily tear a man in half. Despite it looking slender, it was well muscled and wouldn''t lose out to his arms in strength or durability, he didn''t feel a lack of control either which Amon knew was the newly opened Gate''s ability for the Demon half; Enhanced Muscle Usage also contained Superior Control of the body. ''This will help in fights. Good.'' Oddly, Amon felt like he was finally back to normal now he had a tail. For the past few days he had felt like he was missing something but now he felt whole again. Shrugging his shoulders Amon''s face lost it''s curious look for a more apathetic one as he exited the limousine. Waiting for them was a man with black wings, who looked at Amon with interest in his eyes. "Hello, you must be Amon. I''m Nox, if you''d like to follow me, I''m going to give you a tour of the base." He had a mild voice and seemed quite humble, but the slight arrogance in his eyes didn''t escape Amon''s keen eyes. After saying goodbye to Lilith and telling her to call him if she had any problems, he followed Nox for the tour. Long story short, Amon now knew where the Cafeteria, Library, Dorms, and Training Grounds were now. Right now Amon was sitting on his bed reading one of the many books he''d picked up from the library because he needed to know more about himself as a Demon and a Dragon. Sadly the information seemed to be pretty limited to him right now but he was assured by Nox that he''ll be told in due time. So he was mainly reading to pass the time and he was still learning some things he hadn''t found out by learning from his own body. After putting the book down, he started stabilizing the Gate by pouring some more energy into it because he''d just recently broken through his Gate''s foundation may be weak and need some strengthening. The stabilization took a few hours of pouring energy into it but it was better to fix it now than lament over it later. Plus something just wouldn''t let Amon stay imperfect, for some reason everything he did had to be perfect. It mainly applied to his cultivation but that alone was still annoying. As he opened his eyes, he glanced across the room at his other 7 dorm roommates he was going to live with. All of them gave off strong aura''s, although they were shadowed by Amon''s own it still proved they were strong enough to have earned Amon''s slight respect. Only one person seemed to be on par with Amon. He had white hair, yellow eyes and pale white skin with some tiger striped on the sides of his face. He wasn''t that tall at around 5"8, but his body was well-built although a bit slender when compared to someone of Amon''s size and musculature. Both of them locked eyes and shared a respectful nod, somewhat acknowledging the other. Both of them could feel what the other was, Amon could feel that the white-haired kid was an Angel/Tiger Hybrid and the other guy could feel that Amon was a Demon/Dragon Hybrid. The white-haired kid seemed to go back to cultivating after that. Amon gave a little smile at the fact he could feel that he''d be able to have a good fight with the white-haired kid. Everyone in the dorm felt that Amon''s small smile was incredibly feral looking and seemed to come from a predator looking at its prey, giving promises of violence and ruthlessness. Suddenly, Amon''s phone went off. Taking it out and looking at who was phoning him, he saw it was Lilith and suddenly he had a bad feeling. He answered the phone and instantly rushed out of the dorm with grace and speed that belied his size. Someone had pissed off a Demon they should never have even thought of annoying. Chapter 5 - Making an Impression Amon rushed out of his dorm before realizing he hadn''t been shown where the girl''s dorms were. Before he could get worked up, his highly developed sense started to help him. He could smell Lilith''s scent. He didn''t know how he knew it was hers, he just instinctively knew it was hers. So he followed it like a bloodhound. Amon ran with such fervor that he didn''t know he''d been cracking the ground with every step, causing the surroundings to shake like an Elephant was stampeding through the compound. As Amon got closer and closer to the scent''s origin, the more and more fear he smelt. ''Lilith must be terrified. Those fucking whores...!'' Amon let out a terrifying growl and sped up even further, the newly opened Gate supplying him with amazing amounts of stamina and power. As he finally got to a building that the scent was coming from, he saw a window that was open where the majority of the scent was flowing out of. Amon thought it was a bit suspicious but he cared not, he was here to fight, not think. Using his horrifying momentum and the explosive power in his legs, he jumped upward past the 1st floor and onto the window ledge. Each of his fingers was now claws and dug into the brick of the building, along with his tail which supported his body from below. Amon''s blood red eyes looked into the room to see something that angered him on many levels. Lilith had multiple slap and fist marks on her face, all her stuff was strewn across the floor, most of it destroyed. All her clothes had at least one rip in them. Worst of all, the picture of Lilith, Amon, Jax, and Molly all together on Lilith''s 14th birthday had been smashed. It may not seem like much but Lilith had endured some major bullying as she and Molly went to an all-girls school and Amon and Jax couldn''t really help, and that was if she even told them. Molly only found out because she overheard some people talking about it. Lilith probably thought she''d get away from those girls but right now, they were in a dorm with her. The world was a cruel place at the end of the day. Amon stepped in through the window, surprising not breaking anything on his entry. All the girls surrounding and beating Lilith, turned to look at Amon, whose red hair had turned fully black. His hair had changed because subconsciously he was holding back on the transformation and now that he was angry, he''d let the transformation fully complete. Black and red mist seemed to flow around Amon as he walked, giving off an aura of desolation and bloodlust. The girls all looked at him in unadulterated fear, their instincts telling them that he wasn''t harmless, quite the opposite actually, he was a monster. "W-who are you? Do you think you''re scaring anyone with this mist?!" A black-eyed, black-haired beauty glared at Amon as she spoke, but she couldn''t stop her body from trembling no matter how much she glared. This was akin to a bunny seeing a lion and still trying to act tough; it just wouldn''t work. *Slap!* A resounding slap echoed out through the dorm room as the black haired beauty was flung to the other side of the room with a bloody face. "How dare you glare at me and speak without permission. You''re in the company of a Demon Lord, act like it." Amon''s voice sounded like it came straight from the deepest and most twisted place from hell, causing the girls to finally react and back away. Some even fell to the floor and pissed themselves in fear. Amon even surprised himself with what he said. ''Demon Lord? Oh well, let''s do what I came her for.'' Amon looked around the room and saw Lilith''s petite and shaking body and causing a pang of pain in his heart, he walked over to her and bent over and curled her up in his arms like a child. Amon couldn''t help but think that she was hiding some serious curves under her baggy clothes before he glared at the others and turned around to leap out of the dorm room again. But before he could leave, a purple-haired girl entered. Her orange eyes widened when she saw the state of the room, girls on the floor covered in their own urine, others backed away into corners shivering like their life depended on it and one girl was even unconscious with a blood-covered face. She then saw Amon who was holding a shaking girl and rushed over to him.Did you know this story is from Royal Road? Read the official version for free and support the author. Amon ignored her and jumped out of the window. Landing on the ground like he hadn''t just fallen from the second floor of a building, he carried on walking but suddenly felt an incoming. Dodging out of the way of the fireball thrown at him, Amon turned around glaring at the purple-haired girl as an unconscious growl escaped his throat. "What do you want?" his voice was rough but still portrayed a feeling of majesty and bloodlust. "I''m here because you''re trying to run off with a girl from my dorm room! Are you some kind of pervert?" The girl''s voice was smooth and as Amon and she looked at each other they could feel what each other were; Amon had found another Hybrid that could match him. "This is my childhood friend, Phoenix. Your other dormmates were bullying her and she called for me to come to help her. So I did." Amon''s stated matter-of-factly. "Your Dragons are always like this...Whatever, just leave." the purple-haired girl seemed tired and she turned around to leave and started sweating bullets. She could feel his other side to his hybrid physique, his Demon side, fighting for control so it could rip her apart. She just couldn''t compete with such a vicious person. Amon snorted in disdain and left himself, promising that he''d get her back for throwing a fireball at him. A few minutes later~ Amon took her back to his dorm room and placed her on his bed. As the bed was made for his large stature, Lilith and he could both easily fit on the bed. Lilith had stopped shaking by now but she wouldn''t let Amon take his hand away from hers, she said something along the lines of "I''m afraid you''ll leave after I let go." so Amon had to oblige. He calmed her down by talking to her and even used his new magic power to help her recover quicker. Both his Demonic (black colored energy) and Draconic (red colored energy) Magic Power were endowed with impressive self-healing abilities that he could use to heal himself or others, so after soaking in it for a while, Lilith was as good as new. Amon had closed his eyes when the Tiger-guy came up to him with a curious look. "What you doing over here, Dragon? Steal a beauty or something?" His voice was full of mirth as he looked between Amon and Lilith. Amon grinned, feeling a weird sort of friendship with the white-haired boy even though they''d never spoken before. After explaining everything to his, the boy embarrassedly said his apologies before him and Amon started talking. Amon found out that the boy was named Michael, and Michael found out his name so he could stop calling him ''Dragon'', which was starting to grate on Amon and Michael knew it and occasionally did it to piss him off. Amon found that despite their opposing bloodlines, he and Michael got on like a house on fire and Michael had the added benefit of being able to be a rival for Amon in fighting, it was like two birds with one stone for a Battle Addict like Amon. "Yo, Amon, did you know they''re doing a test tomorrow?" Michael had asked the guy next to Amon to switch beds with him, so he was currently lying on the bed with a book in his hand, looking like a scholar rather than a fighter. "Test? What kind?" "Ah, it''s pretty much a combat test. Similar to a King of the Hill battle, it''ll be explained in more detail tomorrow." Michael spoke absentmindedly as he looked at his book. Amon couldn''t stop the savage smile spreading across his face. Amon sat on the end of his bed, about to do some cultivating when he felt a massive surge of energy in his body. All the energy was rushing to the second Gate in his body, which was in the middle of his spine. ''So soon?'' Was all Amon could think before the energy started drilling into his spine and grinding at the pearl in it. This Gate was called the Gate of Body, it enhanced the potential of the body to its very limits and also tempered the body''s abilities quite a lot. It was a foundation building Gate, as every Demon needed a strong body for their magic power to flow through. Pretty much like this: The more magic power, the stronger the body. This Gate was the opener for the next gate which dealt in Magic. Amon realized that this wasn''t too soon as this round of opening Gates was just the foundation for the later stages. The Gates would be opened multiple times and each time the effect would be stronger and stronger with some new effects added here and there. Kind of like a cycle. Amon easily crushed the pearl and opened the Gate, which radiated strength and drowned his cells in it. Each of his cells gobbled up the energy like a hungry mob of zombies, perfecting themselves and getting stronger and stronger, which caused an overall improvement in Amon''s body making it much stronger than before. Everyone in the room other than Michael and Lilith was shaking in fear at the aura of dread pouring out of Amon''s body. Like the first time, another wave came out of the newly opened Gate. This wave rushed straight to his head, seeming to improve everything in his brain and also improving his senses incredibly. Opening his eyes, he was shocked by how strong his senses were now, even the light from the ceiling lamp was a bit glaring to him. After having his eyes opened for a while, he slowly got used to it. Because of the promise of Battle tomorrow, Amon continued cultivating for a while before getting off the bed and lying on the floor; his new body wasn''t that bothered by the hardness of the ground. Lilith grabbed his hand again as she realized he''d pried her hand off of his as he got off the bed. Amon could only shake his head wryly as he lay his head back on the cold wooden floor, warmed only by his boiling blood, he was incredibly excited for the battles tomorrow. Chapter 6 - Stages, Potential and the Start of the Battles Amon slowly woke up to someone kicking his leg. "Oi, Amon, get up." from the voice, Amon instantly knew it was Michael, not that anyone else would have the balls to kick his leg while he was asleep. Getting up with a groan, Amon did a few stretches to get rid of the stiffness in his body before he took off his shirt showing his muscular body to everyone in the dorm. After taking off his sweatpants as well, he looked in the drawer next to his bed and took out a skin-tight black body suit. This was the combat suit for whenever they had combat training and Michael told him yesterday that he''d need it for today''s king of the hill battle. As Amon put the suit on, it felt like he wasn''t putting anything on as he could still feel the air hitting his skin. It was like the combat suit had become a new layer of skin for him. "Man, you do look intimidating, like a big ball of muscle." Michael also had his suit on, showing off his well-built, slender physique, which unlike Amon, didn''t look too muscular in the suit. Amon, however, was full of muscle but it all looked like it was in perfect sync, not too much muscle in one place but just enough to make the maximum visual impact and have the most battle orientated purpose. Amon grunted in response and looked to his bed, seeing a note on it. It was pretty much Lilith saying that she''d gone to pick up her battle suit. Amon felt a pang of worry in his chest but soon shrugged it off, he was pretty sure that Phoenix girl wouldn''t let anything happen. Amon and Michael started walking to the training ground. When they arrived, they both gathered many stares. One of them a slender and handsome scholar and the other a wild-like handsome, barbarian of a man. Like complete opposites but they both seemed to be friends, which caused for a weird dynamic to be shown to all the others in the training ground. Amon looked around, using his superior height to look for Lilith. It didn''t take long to find her as she was talking to the purple-haired girl from before, or as Amon called her, the Phoenix girl. Both girls looked over to Amon, like all the rest of the crowd and slowly walked over themselves. Michael looked at the Phoenix girl and smiled as he messed with his hair, trying to make it right somehow. "Hello, Phoenix girl." Amon''s deep voice seemed to unconsciously pressure the purple-haired girl as he spoke to her. "Amon! Stop bullying Big Sis Julia!" Lilith stomped over to Amon and started banging on his chest with her little fists. Amon smiled and patted her on the head, he smiled in apology to Julia. "Sorry, my Demon and Draconic sides can be quite rude." he tried his best to appear friendly as he spoke. Julia nodded with a relieved expression on her face. Michael came up to Julia and continued speaking to her for a while, obviously trying to flirt with her but Julia seemed to be quite cold to him. Although this didn''t deter him. "Are you okay, Lilith?" Amon looked at Lilith as he worriedly asked. Lilith felt warmth enter her chest as she smiled at Amon. "Yeah, I''m fine. Big sis Julia helped me get my battle suit and she even reprimanded the girls." Amon felt happy that Lilith had found a friend, so he ruffled her hair which elicited a pout from her as she tried to sort her hair out again. After this, Amon heard someone tap on a mic, so he turned towards a stage near the middle of the training ground. He rolled his eyes at who he saw as an annoyed grunt escaped his lips. "Hello, ladies and gentlemen! You''re all A-Rank and above in terms of bloodlines and physiques, and that''s why you''re at this camp, [Iron Blood Camp]!" The woman spoke with enthusiasm and passion. Amon rolled his eyes because it was Sasha, the woman who brought him and Lilith to the camp. "Now, if you''re wondering what ranks are, then let me explain it to you!" Everyone turned to Sasha on the stage and looked at her with curious eyes. "Ranks are what determines both your potential and your power in the stages. These stages are what you Bloodline Warriors will use to determine your strength. You''re all at stage 1 right now and you will reach stage 2 when your bloodline purity reaches a certain level." Sasha took a big breath after talking so much. Soon she carried on. "Beware, however, everyone''s strength is different when they''re in the stages. An S rank will be much more powerful than a B rank in stage 1 and the disparity will only get larger as you advance. There are seven ranks, from D to SS." everyone looked at her with even more curiosity than before as she carried on "The realm you''re in right now is Bloodline Refinement, there are 10 stages to it. It''s the foundation to you''re entire life as a warrior." Everyone understood what she said somewhat; Some bloodlines were insurmountably better than others. "Today we''re going to see your combat efficiency and assign you to classes depending on your wins. The more wins, the more advanced the class you''ll be put in, with the maximum wins being 9, before you have to go off the stage to give others a chance. Is that clear?" her question heralded multiple nods from everyone present. Satisfied at their response she explained what was about to happen. This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it. "Okay, someone get up here." A fairly muscular guy jumped onto the stage. He looked a lot like the orcs Amon had killed on the first day of the change, but he had a much darker green skin color and he although he was shorter, he felt much stronger. "Good. Now...you, come up here." Sasha pointed at Michael who was right next to Amon and told him to come up. "Looks like I''m gonna have to show you my strength, Amon, Julia," Michael whispered with his voice full of mirth. As he got onto the stage, the Orc looked at him in disdain, obviously looking down on him because of his slender physique. "Okay, now you two, when I say fight, fight. Whoever wins gets to stay up here continue fighting to get into a better class. The person who loses can challenge another opponent when the one who beat them steps off the stage." Sasha stepped in between them and spoke these words before stepping back again to the edge of the stage. "Okay...FIGHT!" as soon as Sasha''s voice reached Amon''s ears, Michael and the orc ran at each other. The orc wildly swinging his fist, like a mindless ape, and Michael slashing with his now clawed hands. Unlike Amon''s claws which looked like bulky blades on his fingertips, Michael''s were like slender swords and they were white, unlike Amon''s black claws. Michael ducked under the fist and sent his slash along the Orc''s arm, eliciting an angry roar as the Orc sent a sloppy kick towards Michael. Michael smirked and stepped backward out of the reach of the kick, before quickly dashing in and slashing at the Orcs joints. Before long the Orc was lying on the floor, with many cuts across his arms, legs, and shoulders which seemed to stop him from moving with any meaningful strength. Amon nodded, he had seen from this fight that Michael had incredible reflexes and speed, along with a brilliant instinct for battle; a worthy rival. After this, Michael went on to win against 8 other people in the same way, showing his efficiency at dispatching foes. Amon, Julia and 2 other people hidden in the crowd could feel that he hadn''t even used all his strength. "Michael Celeritas, you have won 9 consecutive matches, well done. You are to admitted to the SS ranked training program." Sasha came up to Michael to congratulate him and then told to him to step off of the stage. Amon walked toward the stage and jumped onto it. Everyone was shocked at the grace he showed while he jumped and landed like he was as light as a feather. Amon stood on the stage with his arms crossed, black hair flowing in the wind, with his eyes blazing with fighting intent. He put out quite a bit of pressure like this, all he needed was a throne and he''d seem like a Demon King at the end of a game. Soon after he''d got on stage, a slender, tall boy came onto the stage. Looking at his face, Amon couldn''t help but feel that he looked somewhat like a sly fox and judging by his physique, his bloodline should focus around speed. Amon smirked; this sly fox thought Amon was a slow brute. As Sasha signaled for the fight to start, the fox-like boy rushed at Amon with considerable speed, like a bullet. Other''s were in shock, thinking that it was over for the lumbering brute, most of them forgetting his earlier grace. Amon smiled as he stepped forward and reached out. The boy had brought a dagger on stage and was currently slashing at Amon who he thought would be too slow to react. Unluckily he was wrong. As Amon stepped forward, he grabbed the boys arm and stopped the dagger in its tracts. "Weak." was all Amon said before hitting the boy with a seemingly casual blow. A loud bang went off as Amon''s fist drove the boy into the ground, leaving his face all bloodied up like he''d been stomped on by multiple people. As the boy hit the ground, a thud echoed throughout the training ground as the ground around the boy cracked from the force left over from the punch. The boy was still alive, but he was seriously injured and didn''t even have the energy to scream about the immense amount of pain he was in. Amon walked up to the boy with disdain practically dripping off of his face and kicked him off the stage with a swift shove of his foot. Amon looked around at the people around him before a menacing grin spread across his face, which soon turned into a smile showcasing his sharp teeth for all to see, giving off an aura of an evil monster instead of a normal person. "Who''s next?" his question caused the people closest to him to gulp nervously. Someone laughed before stepping onto the stage. "You''ve got balls, I''ll give you that." a gruff voice spoke out as someone who wasn''t that much smaller than Amon, at 6"9, stepped onto the stage. He was just as wide as Amon making his seem slightly squarish, his skin was dark grey looking and his eyes were black, the same as his hair. His legs were incredibly steady, like trunks of the sturdiest wood, but he gave off an impression of slowness as well. He was just as muscular as Amon but he seemed a bit too bulky, compared to Amon''s perfect muscle. Amon saw this weakness and smirked; he might possibly have the same amount of brute strength as himself but he was definitely slower. But Amon disregarded that thought, he wanted a proper fight. He was gonna show this bastard who he was dealing with and how much weaker he was than Amon. The guy looked at Amon like he was looking down upon him. Amon let out a ferocious sounding growl as he decided what he was gonna do. He was gonna crush him. Chapter 7 - The Might of a True Demon Sasha and the grey-skinned boy felt the wrath and viciousness radiate off of Amon, pervading the air with bloodlust and crushing pressure. Nox, the man who took Amon on his tour on the day before appeared out of nowhere and made a hand seal sealing off the stage so the pressure wouldn''t affect anyone standing near it. Nox smiled with fanatic glee. "I''ve finally found you, my Lord!" Nox whispered as he looked at Amon with excitement and fervor which was unusual for his usually calm eyes. "My name is Arak, what is your name?" the grey-skinned boy, Arak spoke in his gravelly voice. Amon replied as he walked forward "Amon." his voice rumbled with a primal fury, his pride had been questioned and everything in him, Demon, Draconic, and Human, was furious. Seeing Amon walking, Arak walked forward as well. When these two giant men walked forward, it was like two gigantic beasts were walking and about to meet in battle. Despite Nox''s barrier, an oppressive pressure still pushed down on everyone surrounding the stage. Amon picked up his speed and entered a run, Arak did the same and they kept speeding up and before people knew it they were sprinting at each other. And as they collided, a massive boom went off, like some kind of thunderclap. They''d both tried to ram into each other, like two bulls locking horns, furiously trying to overpower the other. Amon and Arak were simply punching into other like neither of them felt any pain. Amon threw a fast right hook in Arak''s jaw, as Arak planted his fist into Amon''s stomach. Both of them stepped back, Arak with a slightly pale face and Amon with a feral smile spread across his face. "Come on! AGAIN!" Amon''s voice boomed as he charged again. Punches were thrown into each other''s bodies again. Stomach, chest, neck and everywhere on each other''s faces, they were all punched many times over, neither of them attempted to dodge either. It was like whoever dodged first would lose. Everyone looked at the fight in shock as they felt the ground and air shake as each fist landed or collided with another fist. It felt as if the air and ground were shaking in terror, and everyone watching the fight couldn''t help but shiver in fear themselves. These two people weren''t humans, they were beasts of the most monstrous kind! Lilith looked at Amon getting hit with worry painted across her face before she felt a hand on her shoulder. "Don''t worry, Lilith. All possessors of the Dragon physique are tough enough to take at least this amount of beating. Their self-healing abilities are nearly as good as the Phoenix possessors and Phoenixes are renowned for their healing abilities. He''ll be fine." Lilith turned to see Julia smiling gently as she looked at her. Lilith nodded, she knew Amon was okay, seeing as he had a big smile on his face. She just didn''t like watching Amon get hurt. Looking at that smile, Lilith couldn''t help but blush. If anyone saw her blushing and knew it was over Amon''s smile, they would be shocked solid. Amon''s smile looked like a beast''s bloody maw at the minute, giving off tons and tons of bloodlust and ferocious pressure. He seemed to be getting more and more lively as the fight went on, his wounds were even starting to heal visibly. His reptilian eyes were shining with more and more battle intent as more and more blows of his were landing on Arak sending him sprawling backward. "What kind of monster are you?!" Arak looked at Amon with pure fear in his eyes. No matter where he hit Amon, it seemed like it had no effect and he came back at him with more fervor. Arak had prided himself on his brute strength and durability but compared to Amon, he felt like he wasn''t much.Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions. By now, Arak had sustained quite a few injuries, including a few fractured ribs and many cuts from Amon''s claws that were now fully extended. "Hahaha! How fun!" Amon roared into the sky with excitement dripping from his voice. His red eyes bore holes into Arak''s as his now, slightly twisted voice spoke out "Come on, Arak, push me further! Make me fight harder!" after saying this, Amon''s shoulder collided with Arak''s, both of them pushing the other. After getting nowhere, Arak and Amon hands collided, pushing against the other in some kind of pushing war. Cracks spread out from each of their feet, the ground was pushed away as they both dug their feet in. Amon felt his muscles burning under the pressure, his bones creaking under his opponent''s strength and his blood violently rushing around his body and he realized; He''d never felt so alive in his life. Arak secretly suppressed a smile. He had the advantage because while he was slow, that was because he was incredibly steady, while Amon was also incredibly steady it wasn''t one of his racial abilities like Araks. Slowly but surely, Arak started pushing Amon backward through the arena, leaving tracts of where Amon''s feet had been dug into. Amon roared as if he''d completely lost himself, as he furiously pushed his feet against the floor trying to stop Arak''s advance. ''Come on! PUSH! I can''t lose to this weakling! I won''t lose to this weakling! I.WILL.NOT.LOSE!'' This was all there was that was flowing and rushing around in Amon''s head as his eyes grew more and more manic. Amon stuck his tail into the ground as extra leverage as claws slid out of his suit from his toes, one claw even came out of the back of his heel. Each of these claws was different than the ones on his hands, they were more like thick talons of a bird of prey, or...A Dragon. With his new leverage, Amon stopped being pushed back. "Arak. I''m going to destroy you." Amon''s voice sounded like it came from the devil himself and his eyes looked ruthless, cold and manic. He slowly started pushing Arak back, showcasing his superior brute strength. The only reason he was losing earlier was that he didn''t have the traction to fully unleash his powers but now his new talon-like claws were digging into the ground. Well, Arak didn''t stand a chance. After pushing him to near where the arena ended, Amon released Arak''s hands before he grabbed the other by the neck and lifted him up. Arak knew he''d been stupid to think he could match a monster like this in physical strength as he tried to pry the clawed hand off of his neck. Unluckily for him, Amon''s grip was incredibly tight, like a metal vice. Amon''s mouth curled into a demonic smile full of malice, as he repeatedly slammed his free fist into Arak''s stomach. Arak started grunting after the 3rd fist, by the 8th he was screaming in pain and at the 16th he was begging to be let go. Amon let him fall to the floor as he grew bored hitting such weak opponent. Whether Amon purposely dropped Arak into a kneeling position, only he knew, but everyone thought that it suited the situation. Amon had already healed all his injuries from the previous brawl, so he looked untouched and gave off the imperious aura of a king, while Arak looked like some kind of beggar with blood flowing out of most of his facial offices. Amon rested his foot on Arak''s shoulder before kicking him off of the arena stage, like he was trash. Amon stood there with a simple smile on his face but to everyone around him, that smile was the smile of a peerless Demon and they all froze in fear. Amon chuckled to himself as he looked at the pleasantly surprised Sasha. "Hey, Sasha, nobody seems to be coming up here to fight me. What should I do?" Amon''s voice returned to it''s normal deep and husky sounding, unlike his excitement filled roars earlier, as he asked Sasha a question. "Hehe! Well, seeing as no one wishes to challenge you, you''ve passed with flying colors and you will be submitted to the SS training class. Congratulations!" Sasha laughingly said with her voice full of mirth. Nox nodded with pride as he heard and saw the results of his so-called Lord fighting. Amon stepped off of the arena and walked back over to Julia, Lilith, and Michael. As he walked there, the crowd split aside to make a path for him, in fear he''d get angry if they were in his way. Amon had a smirk on his face as he continued to walk. He felt that it was good to make an impression like this, saves him all the trouble of swatting pests who bother him later. Chapter 8 - End of the Battles and Affinity Test As soon as Amon got next to Michael, Michael spoke out in admiration. "Wow, you''re packing quite a bit of brute strength, eh Amon?" Lilith and Julia nodded in agreement as they looked at the cracked and ruined arena which was now magically repairing itself. "Well, it is the Dragon''s specialty." Julia spoke up with a face that seemed to say that it''s to be expected that Amon has a lot of brute strength. Julia was the next to walk up, shocking everyone in the training ground with her beauty. The first few people to go up were a bunch of pretty boys, mainly going up there in hopes of flirting with Julia but they were thrown off the stage by her pressure and a few fireballs. The rest of the people who came up after the pretty boys actually tried to fight her, but they didn''t even last as long as the pretty boys as they were instantly thrown off by fireballs as soon as the fight started. The end result was that Julia also got into the SS rank training program. The few people who went up were much more lackluster compared to Michael, Amon, and Julia, most of them getting in the C, B or A training program because they couldn''t continue fighting through all 9 people but instead got between 5 and 7 wins. There were also people who couldn''t get past 1 win and were put in the lowest class and the next worse were the people who could only get 4 or fewer wins, putting them in the lower-ranked classes and these people made up the majority. After waiting a while, Lilith decided to go up there. Amon was worried but he knew he couldn''t always protect her, so he smiled to reassure and support her but he secretly promised himself he''d break anyone who actually hurt her. When Lilith was on the stage, a tall, lanky boy walked onto the stage, he seemed like he was only skin and bones with no muscle. His most interesting feature, however, was that his eyes were literal flames, like a lich or something. "Okay...ready...FIGHT!" Sasha''s voice was slightly hoarse after saying ''FIGHT'' so much but she still did her job, occasionally having to gulp down massive amounts of water to soothe her throat. The undead looking guy ran at Lilith with surprising speed and appeared in front of her instantly, rearing his fist back, showing no hesitation that he was about to hit a timid girl like Lilith. Lilith just stood there, with no expression on her face, waiting for the fist to hit her chest. Amon looked at the arena with his eyes going cold, he thought that Lilith was scared and he was prepared to kick the shit out of that lanky bastard if she was really hurt by him. But Amon suddenly paused as he watched the fist go straight through her. Not in the gorey, blood everywhere kind of fist through the chest but more like a fist through a ghosts chest. The lanky guy seemed just as shocked as Amon and everyone else, he tried to pull his fist back but it was stuck. At first, when his fist went through Lilith''s chest, it felt like a liquid but now it felt like concrete had set around his hand. Lilith reared back her own fist and with a cute looking worked up face, she threw it at the lanky guy''s jaw. When the fist hit, the lanky guy dropped to the floor shocking everyone in the training ground. Only one person was willing to talk. "HAHAHAHA! WELL DONE, LILITH!" Amon''s bass-filled voice boomed out in laughter as he watched Lilith defeat her opponent causing Lilith to blush furiously but she still had a small smile on her face, looking very pleased with everything. This was how Lilith''s fights went from then on, nobody could seem to hurt her. This was all attributed to her slime bloodline, her body was completely under her control and she could change certain parts into slime to avoid the attack. But this showed her superb control over it because she''d had to track where the attack would land and then turn only that part to slime, showing she had a special kind of talent and amazing reaction speed. After Lilith, it was back to the lackluster fights again. But these people were definitely better than the people earlier, the majority of people got into the A training program, with a few S training programmers. Before long, most people had been sorted into their classes, only Amon, Michael, Lilith and Julia were in the SS class. But before, Sasha could speak to finish it all, she heard an urgent voice "Wait a minute! I''m sorry I''m late!" the voice was quite high-pitched and before long, a dark blue haired and blue eyed girl was up on stage. Sasha looked shocked someone had the gall to be late on such an important day but she shrugged her shoulders and quickly picked an opponent for the girl seeing as most people were still tired from their other matches, so she picked some people from the start, who should have recovered. The first person to go up was the Orc who Michael first fought against. He''d been fully healed up somehow and was back in top condition. Michael and Amon couldn''t stop a smile from appearing on their faces; what was it with this guy and getting put up against strong hybrids. That girl''s power was unmistakable to Michael, Julia, and Amon, it was the final part of their group; the Black Tortoise. If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. The Orc rushed up to the girl as soon as it could, throwing a punch at the girls head. Just like Lilith, the girl didn''t move nor show any expression to the big fist flying at her head. She just stood there. Before long, the fist hit the girls head, but before the Orc could roar in celebration, he realized his fist hurt like he was still a normal human and he''d hit a metal wall. The girl''s forehead had started glowing with a mixture of blue and black. And before the Orc knew it, he''d been thrown away by a mysterious force and off of the arena stage. Everyone was shocked by what just happened but mostly, they were confused, what were those blue and black glowing lights on that girl? Some people thought that the Orc just wasn''t strong enough, so some other big brutes went onto the stage to try their luck. Long story short; they didn''t fare any better than the Orc. The girl seemed to have an absolute defense and the most effective counterattack which caused everyone who hit her to get thrown away. Michael, Lilith, and Julia had to hold Amon back as his competitive nature compelled him to try and break that defense. Luckily they held him off and the girl got 9 wins easily, becoming the 5th member of the SS training program. Everyone shivered when they thought about the people in the SS class; An Untouchable Speedster, an Unstoppable Demon, a Peerless Mage, Someone practically Ethereal, and Someone with an Absolute Defence. Sasha walked forward to the middle of the Arena as she did before when she explained things. "Okay, now everyone." her voice seemed amplified by something as she continued to speak "Split into your training programs and a Teacher will come over to take you to your affinity testing. SS class, come with me~" Sasha pointed over at Amon''s group and motioned for them to come over. She seemed excited for some reason. As they walked over, the blue-haired girl came over to them. She also sensed what they were and she seemed quite excited as she started speaking to Julia and Lilith, while Michael occasionally chimed in, Amon purposely blocked out her voice as he was thinking. ''Affinity? Hmm, could be interesting. It feels like it should be something that could prove my perfection even further.'' Amon froze for a second before carrying on. He wondered why he''d said that last bit? Amon figured that he must have because, frankly, he really was starting to think his hybrid combination was perfect. Despite not knowing what Amon was thinking, Lilith still seemed to help him ignore the blue haired girl, who was called Fae, by always stepping in for him when Fae asked him questions. She also seemed to be doing it for her own selfish reasons but it benefited both of them, so Amon didn''t mind. By now they were walking with Sasha who was explaining things to them. "This SS training program is the Physiques equivalent to the Hero Program. Just in case you didn''t know, the world''s cruel. Us Bloodline Warriors are discriminated against because we have some inhuman blood and because some of the more powerful bloodlines are linked to some...less than savory events. Like yours Amon." Sasha''s words made Amon freeze before he asked her why, she replied with a worn out voice "We had your bloodline screened, we know what both of you bloodlines are and they''re both considered quite, well, evil." Amon smirked, pretty much already knowing this from the fact his instincts are always pointing him to fight and destroy. Sasha rolled her eyes at his smirk "I''ll tell you more about it when we''re on our own. It''s very sensitive information." Amon nodded understandingly as they carried on walking. Sasha carried on with her previous explanation "Us Bloodline Warriors have advantages over Class and Ability users. One of them being our superior bodies and affinities. In those fights we were testing your fighting skills and your constitutions, now we''re going to test your affinities." As they continued walking, Sasha quickly turned around with an expression on her face that seemed like she''d just remembered something "Oh, and we''re not the same company as Genesis, they''re an exclusively Class and Ability User organization. We''re called Terminus, the Bloodline Association." Amon walked closer to Sasha and looked at her curiously "Why do you people seem to know so much about all this already? It''s only been 2 weeks since the Change." Sasha heard the suspicion in his voice, so she tried to answer as quickly as possible to eliminate any feelings of unease "Because we''ve known the change was going to happen for years. We knew which ones of us would change into Bloodline Warriors and which ones would gain Classes and Abilities." Michael stepped forward as well, asking his own question "How did you find out then?" "Before the Galactic Empire decided to take us into its system, they had to check if we were ready. Do you think thousands of spaceships flying around the Earth would go undetected by us? Ha! Those arrogant bastards thought we wouldn''t be able to see them, but we did, we saw all of them and it blew our bloody minds." Sasha seemed angry and then went back to reminiscing. "One of their ships crashed, mostly because of us shooting at it, but also because it''s engines were completely torn up by something. The ship was mostly intact, the creatures onboard we dead, but the computers, the information banks were still there!" She seemed to be reliving her excitement from back then as she spoke. After her excitement died down, she carried on "They had some kind of internet on the ship and we easily accessed it, we found out what was going to happen, how to identify who was getting what. And we prepared ourselves. A lot of the other stuff after that doesn''t matter." Towards the end, Sasha seemed slightly sad but she shrugged it off when they reached a building. The building looked slightly like a mansion in size and Sasha spread her arms out, not looking sad anymore, as she turned around to look at the five following her "This is your new home, for all 5 of you are going to be living together!" she seemed to be wanting to get a reaction from them but after seeing them only nod, she seemed to deflate and walked into the house sulking. When they got into the house, Sasha took them to the living room. It was massive, with about 3 seated sofas surrounding a coffee table and a massive flat screen plasma Tv hanging on the wall, it had a few other things around the room but everyone focused on the coffee table where there was a plate of murky looking glass, it had an indentation for a single finger. "Come over here, this is the Affinity Plate." Sasha walked over to it and connected a tablet she held in her hand to the plate. Instantly information appeared on the tablet, she motioned for someone to come and put their hand on it. Amon walked up to it and put his finger on the plate. Instantly the murkiness of the plate was replaced by 3 colors, Black, Grey, and Red and Sasha blurted "Oh my god..." out after she saw them. Two of these affinities were expected but the Grey one. The Grey one was not expected at all. Chapter 9 - Unexpected Affinities and Purification "What?" Amon looked at her in confusion. Even he didn''t know what the Grey thing was, he''d only ever seen the Red and Black making up Runes in his body. "Amon, you''ve got an incredibly rare affinity. It''s of the Physics branch, a branch of Affinities with unimaginable amounts of power." Sasha''s voice sounded distracted as she answered Amon, while she looked at the Affinity Plate. Amon''s eyes became slits as he looked at Sasha with a discerning gaze "So I can control the Laws of Physics or?" his voice seemed quite excited at the thought of becoming omnipotent. "Sadly, not all of Physics. You''ve got two aspects of it though, Gravity and Density. Both incredible powers for a warrior such as yourself." Sasha''s voice didn''t hide he envy for his affinity. Amon''s shoulders drooped a bit causing Sasha''s eyes to twitch in annoyance. Amon just showed he was unhappy with two powers that all kinds of people would want. "Yeah okay, what about my other affinities? The red and black ones?" Amon''s voice still seemed excited but this time, it was a bit less because he wasn''t completely omnipotent. Sasha rolled her eyes, clearly understanding Amon "The black one is from your Demonic side, it''s the Unholy Element, the other is the Blood Element from your Draconic side. Quite a particular element for a Dragon as well, it''s also how we know what kind of Dragon you''ve inherited from because they were the only Dragon''s with blood." Amon showed a bewildered face "Dragons don''t have blood?" "Yep. They have Magic running through their bodies instead. The Dragons you''ve inherited from were the Strongest and Biggest ones and all the magic power in the world couldn''t sustain them, so they made themselves produce blood instead. Do you have any guesses on what Dragon it could be?" Sasha looked playfully at Amon, earning her a glare off of Lilith. Amon tossed an annoyed glare at Sasha "Just tell me, will you?" Amon disliked all this dancing around the subject. "Tut tut tut. You need to learn some patience, Amon. I''ll tell you after the training tomorrow, we have to do all the other Affinities now." Sasha spoke like some kind of villain in a mock jest. Amon rolled his eyes, letting out something akin to the mixture of a grunt and a growl and then moved out of the way for Michael to have his turn. Amon sat down on the sofa nearest to him and Lilith came over to sit with him. As Amon thought she was gonna sit next to him, she plopped herself onto his lap. Shocked, Amon looked at Lilith "You okay, Lilith?" Lilith looked up at him with her beautiful green eyes and nodded her head "Yeah, I''m fine. I just wanted to sit here...Do you want me to move?" Lilith was blushing like a tomato as she looked into Amon''s eyes. ''Could I call myself a man if I told you to move?!'' "No, it''s fine, you can stay there, Lilith." Amon smiled reassuringly at the now satisfied Lilith. Fae and Julia, who were sitting on another sofa, were looking over at Lilith sitting on Amon''s lap and they could realize how Amon was so gentle around Lilith, compared to when he was on the arena earlier. The difference was like Heaven and Earth. Fae knew how he was on the stage because she wasn''t really late, she was just scouting out the competition before she came into the light herself. She was hiding in the crowd all along. Everyone looked over to Michael who was now putting his finger on the plate, his colors were a pure white, a light green and a grey like Amon''s. "Another Physics Affinity!?" Sasha was shocked. Physics Affinities were supposed to be rare according to the Database from the alien ship but two of them had appeared in front of her today. Michael seemed pleasantly surprised and looked at Amon, as if saying ''Look at this, turns out I''m just as good as you.'' in a jokey kind of way. Amon shook his head with a smile on his face as Sasha spoke up again. "Inertia and Velocity, perfect for you. If I believed in a higher power, I''d say they purposely gave you these powers. Whatever...Your other affinities are Holy and Metal...bloody overpowered Hybrids..." Sasha hurried Michael out of the way as Lilith got up off of Amon and walked over to the plate. After putting her hand on the plate, 3 colors showed up nearly causing Sasha to faint from the thought she had a physics affinity. But she calmed down after seeing the colors. There was Black, Yellow, and Pink, the last one surprising Sasha before she smiled knowingly at her. "Your affinities are Unholy, Lightning and Lust." Lilith walked back over to Amon and sat back down on his lap again. Amon had to use his superior control over his body to not embarrass himself as he felt her body lean against his showing how soft her...curves were. Lilith seemed to know what she was doing because she giggled at Amon shuffling around. Julia shook her head at Lilith''s unique kind of flirting and got up to have her own affinities checked. Like everyone else so far, 3 colors appeared when he finger touched the plate. The colors were an orange that looked like it was mixed with yellow and red, a light blue and a dark green. Sasha''s eyes went wide as she looked at the affinities. "As expected from the Phoenix Bloodline holder. All-Fire Affinity, All-Ice Affinity, and Nature Affinity." Amon raised his eyebrows at what Sasha said. If what she said was 100% accurate, Julia should have access to an amazing amount of fire and ice-based abilities.Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author. Julia reared her head up, like an actual proud-phoenix and walked back over to where she came from. Fae was ready and waiting for her turn and was soon at the plate with her finger on it, causing colors to appear onto the plate, like magic. Dark blue, brown and light green were the colors that appeared on the plate. "All-Water Affinity, Earth Affinity, and Wind Affinity. Befitting of the Black Tortoise bloodline holder." Was all Sasha said, seemingly numb to the monstrous talents of the 4 youths in front of her. Sasha stood up, picking up the plate from the table after she downloaded the information from it into the tablet and disconnected the wire connecting the two. She turned to the five people in front of her and spoke "Go find your rooms, they were made with your specific--" She looked at Amon''s massive body "--differences in mind." and after saying that, she distributed keys between the five of them and then left the building. Amon looked at the others sitting down and thought of something "Do you guys have cultivation methods as well?" this had been bugging him for a while. Michael and the others all nodded, causing Amon to become more confused. What are the chances of 5 people all getting cultivation methods from their boons? As if seeing his confusion, Julia spoke up to clear things for him "My family was one of the families that knew about the coming change, and in our preparation we found, via the alien database, all Bloodline Warriors gain a cultivation method from one of their boons." Hearing Julia''s explanation, Amon finally understood. Michael asked a question of his own after hearing what Julia said "So do you get a random method or is it tailored to your bloodline?" his question caused Julia to hesitate before answering. "You will always get a method that suits you perfectly but the strength can vary massively. You can get a really strong method that suits you, or a really weak one. You should know which one you got just by looking at its description. So did you guys get weak ones or strong ones?" Julia''s question may have seemed a bit personal but they were to be a team from now on, so they might as well open up to the others. Amon, however, grunted in annoyance before saying he''d gotten a strong one. Everyone had a strong one in the end, which was to be expected because of their strong bloodlines and strengths. Amon, having his answer, excused himself to go cultivate; he felt another breakthrough coming. He ran around the house before he found a bed that could hold him. He walked over to the bed and sat cross-legged on it before doing the Breathing Technique. Like usual, Magic energy rushed to his mouth and nose, filling his body before being dragged to his spine once again. This time it was at the higher part of his spine, around his neck region, meaning this breakthrough was slightly dangerous. Like before, he pulled the energy around the pearl in his upper spine and started grinding at it. But unlike his previous breakthrough which was quite easy, this one was quite arduous. It took Amon a few hours to completely crush the pearl and for the Gate to be open. This Gate was called the Gate of Magic and it would baptize the entire body in magic. As it said, magic power poured out of the Gate and washed every cell in Amon''s body. Before this, every cell in Amon''s body was a mixture of every kind of magic, sort of like impurities and this meant that his real affinities couldn''t live up to their maximum potential. But right now, this destructive magic power was destroying any kind of magical trace on Amon''s cells, leaving space for his affinities to regrow and take up more space. After multiple blasts of this energy and a lot of excruciating pain, Amon''s cells only had black, red and gray in them. In all the cells these 3 colors moved about and seemed to be forming into a shape. After the colors had stopped moving, Amon could see a massive body sized rune made up bit by bit by the cells that had organized themselves in Amon''s body. After seeing this rune, it started turning and Amon watched it as it started to release incredible amounts of energy. But not magic energy, no, it was releasing physical energy, like all the other gates. This was the minor completion stage of the beginner stages of the [Eight Demonic Gates Breathing Technique]. All three of the first gates had connected like some sort of bridge and it somehow multiplied the physical energy it gave out. This, along with the second draconic wave of energy from the third Gate, purified the body, pushing all the impurities out and making the body vastly stronger so it could hold more magic power. Amon quickly opened his eyes and rushed to the bathroom and removed his clothes before getting into the shower. Black, viscous and thick liquid was coming out of Amon''s pores by the buckets and Amon could only continuously scrub away at it until it didn''t come out anymore. After scrubbing his entire body for about 20 minutes, it all stopped. After scrubbing off what was left, Amon closed his eyes as he looked inside his body. Everything looked like it was made out of refined metal and crystal. His blood looked like rubies that had been liquefied somehow, his bones looked like pure, black metal and his muscles like pure red, unstoppable and untearable metal cables. The runes on everything in his body looked and felt more strong as well like they''d gone through a massive upgrade. Not that Amon knew what they did yet. Amon stood under the shower''s blasts of hot water feeling the amazing power flowing through every fiber of his body, with a smile on his face. In his current condition he could easily smack Arak into the floor no matter his traction on the ground. After he finished admiring his powerful body, Amon went back to his bed after drying himself, with only a big towel covering his lower half. He decided to continue cultivating and did so for a few more hours before getting dressed and going downstairs to eat. But as he was walking down the stairs, he saw Lilith walking upstairs with two plates of food. When Lilith saw him, she smiled "I figured that we never did get to finish those sandwiches on that day, so I made you another few." Amon smiled at the sentiment and took the plate off her and walked downstairs, telling her he''d eat down here with her. Lilith didn''t disagree with him but seemed annoyed they couldn''t eat in his room. As they sat down in the living room, Michael and Julia walked in as well with some food as well and sat down on the sofa next to Lilith and Amon. Thinking about how there were four of them, 2 girls, 2 boys, Amon couldn''t help but worry about how Jax was doing. ''You better be alright, Jax, if you get hurt, I''ll kill you, you goddamn bastard...!'' Interrupting him from his sandwich, Michael asked Amon a question "Yo, Amon, I''ve been wondering to ask. Are you and Lilith together or something?" Michael asked with a teasing tone which caused Lilith to blush so much that it seemed like steam came off of her face, while the question even seemed to delay Amon''s brain a little bit. "Uhhhh..." was all Amon could say as he scratched his head, no sign of the Demonic Youth from the King of the Hill to be seen from his visage at all. Chapter 10 - Awkward Situation and Start of the Magic Lesson Amon soon lost his confused face and what replaced it was a vicious and malice-filled face as he spoke in a terrifying voice "Why''d you wanna know? You like her yourself or something?" Michael put his hands up in defense as he quickly answered Amon "WOAHWOAHWOAH! Calm down, Amon! I was just curious about your relationship with her because you seem to know her before the change." Michael widened his eyes at Amon''s protective nature over Lilith "...talk about protective..." was all Michael whispered. Amon knew he''d been a bit defensive but he didn''t care, in his opinion, Lilith was his, even if that was only his friend. He wouldn''t let others take her from him unless she was willing and even then, maybe he wouldn''t let it happen. Lilith shuffled closer to Amon after his display of protection. She seemed happy because it proved he returned her feelings to some degree. Julia couldn''t help but laugh at Michael. "He''s the Dragon, and you dare ask him about his woman? Hahaha! You surely need to learn more about Dragons. He''s a Demon on top of that as well, tut tut, you''d be lucky if he doesn''t kill you tonight~" Julia continued to tease Michael as Amon continued to eat his sandwich, with the expression of a sulky child. ''Hmph! Try to take Lilith away from me and I''ll do worse than kill you...'' Was all he whispered mentally before digging into his sandwich. Fae wondered into the room after hearing and feeling Amon''s annoyance. "Uhh what you guys talking about?" she looked about before her eyes landed on Amon "And why''s Amon radiating pure annoyance?" she looked around at everyone curiously. Julia laughed and explained it all to her and got another comrade who kept laughing with her. Amon reached for the remote for the Tv and turned it on. What popped up was a news channel showing images of a gigantic dead monster that looked like a giant Komodo Dragon, in the corner of the screen there was a person speaking. The words he was saying made everyone look at the screen. "Thousands are confirmed dead, there are possibly tens of thousands who are unconfirmed dead right now. This monster was once a normal Komodo Dragon but it awakened just like the rest of us and it broke from its zoos confinement and went rampaging in the city." The reporter seemed devastated as he carried on "This is one of the many cases of these happenings. The city is in ruins, the citizens are shaken and it shows us. It shows us that this is the start of a new era." Lilith trembled as she looked at the demolished city, it was a truly shocking scene, like the video of the aftermath from a natural disaster. Julia and Fae were no longer laughing at all, instead, they were pale from shock. Michael was shaking in rage as he grit his teeth at the screen. Amon just looked at the screen. He looked calm but from the cracks all across the plate in his hand, you could tell he was angry. The scene of mindless slaughter left a bad taste in Amon''s mouth, and this was a mindless slaughter of his race. His instincts screamed out for vengeance because while they were now Demon and Dragon cells, they were once Human cells and that little bit of Human would always be there. The joyous air in the room had vanished completely as each of the five youths stared at the screen with emotions flying about their eyes. Fear, Shock but most importantly, Anger. Amon finished off what was left of his sandwich and put the plate down and left with only saying that he was off to cultivate. Although Amon cared nothing for weaklings, he had a certain honor; he wouldn''t kill civilians unless they''d offended him drastically. He''d kill any Bloodline warrior, any Class or Ability User but Civilians had to be left out of it, even if they had abilities, most people weren''t trained by the military or organizations to use them properly. Amon sat down and continued cultivating late into the night, constantly evolving his physique little by little with each breath. By about 12 pm he stopped cultivating and went for a shower before getting into bed. As Amon lay there in bed, he heard a knock at the door. Amon knew who it properly was so he stood up and nearly ran over to the door. As he opened the door he saw Lilith in her pajamas, which seemed baggy in some areas and tight in others giving a weird image of cozy and sexy, confusing Amon as he looked at her. "Umm...Can I sleep in your room...? I can''t sleep because of what we saw earlier..." Lilith''s voice was as quiet like a mosquito as she looked down at her feet constantly fidgeting with her hands. Amon was stunned by her question. ''Could she sleep in his room? What if he did something bad? Oh god, what if she does want me to do something bad?!'' Inside Amon''s head, multiple little Amon''s were running around in a panic but his facial expression was still quite calm.If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. "Uh, yeah, you can stay in my room tonight, if you want." Amon stumbled out of the way for Lilith to enter and closed the door after she entered. As she walked over to his bed and curled up in it under the covers, like a kitten, Amon went to lie on the floor. As he closed his eyes, he felt someone poking his face, it was obviously Lilith. Opening his eyes he saw Lilith''s head popping out of the blankets and staring at him. "What?" was all Amon muttered out after being stared at for so long. "Get in the bed with me, Amon. I don''t want to force you to sleep on the floor." Lilith looked at him with a cute and shy pout on her face, but it also seemed incredibly seductive as he looked at it. Amon knew how surprisingly stubborn Lilith could be with him, so he got up off the floor and took his shirt off, causing Lilith to cover her eyes only to peek out of the gaps at Amon''s muscular body. Amon slid into the bed and lay there, plenty of room for the both of them. Amon quickly closed his eyes trying to sleep and forget a girl was lying next to him but it only made him think. ''Lilith likes me and I like Lilith, shouldn''t I seal the deal or something?'' Amon thought this but immediately disregarded it ''Shut up! Goddamn Demon Side!'' This internal debate continued to happen between Amon and his Instincts before he finally fell asleep. Lilith had no such trouble and fell asleep quite quickly, what Amon didn''t realize before he fell asleep was that Lilith moved about a lot in her sleep. Morning~ Amon opened his eyes to see the sun rising from his window. Seeing that it must still be quite early, he went to get up to cultivate some more but his right arm fell asleep and wouldn''t move. As he looked over to his right arm, he froze at what he saw. Lilith''s buttoned-up pajama top had somehow undone the first few top buttons showing off Lilith''s surprisingly deep cleavage but that wasn''t the most surprising part. Lilith was hugging his right arm like a pillow pushing he breasts right onto his arm, transmitting the feeling of two massive and soft marshmallows squishing against his arm. For a full minute, Amon sat there, understanding the bliss he was feeling. But then he saw a more dangerous situation; where his hand was. His hand was between her thighs and right next to her precious place. Amon''s movements had now turned as rigid as a robot and his ''little'' brother had fully woken up. Despite now being a Bloodline Warrior, he was still a teenage boy of 16 years old, this stimulus had thoroughly fried his brain. Amon gulped as he tried to move his hand to wiggle his way out of this minefield. His wiggling caused moans to escape Lilith''s mouth and made her tighten her thighs around Amon''s hand causing his hand to get closer and closer to the place he didn''t want to be near. Soon enough, he was right next to the place and could feel the warmth radiating from it and even felt the slight wetness of her pajama bottoms there. Amon''s danger senses were all going off as he looked at Lilith''s face, her eyes open and looking at him. They looked incredibly watery and seductive as she looked at him and then his ''little'' brother that threatened to burst out of his pants. "Lilith...I swear this isn''t how it looks..." Amon spoke nervously as he looked at her red face. "I wouldn''t mind...if it were you, Amon..." Lilith''s voice was incredibly sensual as she looked at him and then his thing biting her lower lip and whispering things she though Amon couldn''t hear but he definitely could. These things included: "So big..." "I want Amon to..." and "Do it, Amon...". Amon''s heart was racing incredibly quickly at the moment but before he could do or say anything someone barged into Amon''s room. "Yo, Amon, get up--OH SHIT!" Michael walked in and saw what was happening and yelled in surprise, before covering his eyes and backing away out of the room "I have seen nothing! Do not try and kill me, Amon!" after saying this Michael turned around and ran. Right now, Amon was banging his head against the wall, he was incredibly embarrassed. By the time he turned back, there was no sign of Lilith and he heard her door open and close quickly; she was just as embarrassed as him. Amon got on the floor and started to do some press ups to divert the blood from a certain place on his body. It took a monumental amount to finally cause it to go down but after that Amon, put some clothes on and walked downstairs to see Michael, Sasha, Julia, and a sleepy Fae. Sasha looked at him and stifled a laugh causing Amon to glare at both her and Michael. Before long, after Amon had sat down, Lilith appeared in the room with her head down and looking incredibly embarrassed. As she got to the sofas, she still sat next to Amon, which surprised him. He thought she''d stay away from him in embarrassment but apparently not. "Okay, now to start the lessons on Magic and how to use your Affinities." Sasha stood up and threw a 3D hologram onto the coffee table in the living room where they were all sitting. "Right, so to use your magic, it''s quite easy. You get your magic power from your body, collect it together and select which element you want to use." Sasha pointed at the hologram which showed a person''s magic power collecting into a ball in the person''s heart. "When you select the element, it''ll pretty easy with your talents, just think which one you want to use and it should act as a filter. Now give it a try, just collect the element in your hand for now." Amon cast away his earlier embarrassment and focused on this. He closed his eyes and knew he didn''t need to gather his magic energy because the big rune made by the first three Gates would channel it for him. Amon chose Blood first because it felt like the easiest to draw out. All the blood red energy was channeled through the rune and traveled to his hand as he instructed it to. A small ball of pure, crimson red blood appeared on Amon''s hand, floating and rotating like a planet. It slowly got bigger and bigger before it was the size of a baseball. Amon felt like he could do anything with the blood, so he tried molding it. Amon easily molded it into a small knife blade and he controlled it to fly around his hand. He couldn''t help but feel this magic thing was too easy. Sasha looked at Amon with a shocked expression and thought about the unnatural purity of his Dragon Bloodline, it was unreal. That was the reason he was so good at manipulating his Blood element; his bloodline purity. Amon took back his blood knife into his body, replenishing some of the blood-attributed energy he used. Amon couldn''t help but feel excited for the lessons to come, he could already to see how strong he would become. It was wonderful. Chapter 11 - Bloodlines Amon started messing around with his other affinities and found they were just as easy to use as his blood affinity. His Gravity Magic just increased the gravitational pull around his hand, attracting some small items from the coffee table to his hand, like a sort of telekinesis. Amon looked at his hand and the assortment of spoons and coasters on his hand with a face full of mirth; he thought this was a funny power to play about with. Amon flipped whatever he was doing around and sent the spoons and coasters flying away from his hand, repelling them onto the table. His Gravity Magic seemed to take a lot of thought to use and he wasn''t exactly sure on how to use it adeptly just yet. Next was his Density Magic, he focused this on his whole body. It seemed to magically make him denser without decreasing his size or increasing it either. Amon stood up feeling the increased power in his body. It felt like he was made of living metal at the minute because of the magic, his power had increased but his defense was the thing that had been increased the most. Amon canceled the magic as soon as he''d finished his analysis of what it did. The Magic seemed to hurt his body the longer he used, he needed his base body to be stronger for him to have more and more increased time in the Denser form. Amon looked at the others who were using their magic just as easily as him, and Sasha who''s mouth was agape in shock before it turned into a prideful smile because she probably realized that these 5 kids were her students. "Sasha, can I talk to you for a bit? I''ve pretty much got my magic under control." As he said this he waved his hand into the air, summoning both his Unholy element and Blood element. His Unholy element looked like a dense black fog full of malice and evil and along with the Blood element rotating around it, it seemed even more demonic than on its own. Sasha looked at Amon''s control over magic and nodded and walked over to the kitchen where she could talk to Amon privately. When they entered the kitchen, Amon sat on one of the kitchen chairs and Sasha did the same before she looked at Amon "What did you want to talk to me about then?" "I want to know what both my bloodlines are, in full, no details withheld." Amon''s gaze was incredibly serious and his face was very solemn as he faced Sasha. Sasha seemed to have been expecting his question, so she took a deep breath of fresh air before answering his question "Well, let''s start with your Demon side. As you might have found out, it''s a Demon Lord''s bloodline, but there are many kinds of Demon Lords that have Bloodlines and yours, well, yours is quite ancient." Amon guessed as much and he hurried Sasha on. Sasha seemed to hesitate before she carried on "Your Demon Bloodline comes from Abaddon, the Fallen Angel of Destruction, Death and The Abyss. An incredibly archaic bloodline for the Demons." Amon didn''t understand "Angel? Even if it''s a Fallen Angel it isn''t a Demon, right?" Sasha looked at Amon like he was an idiot "No, the first Demons were Fallen Angels, they were the royalty of the Demon World. The Demons after them were Humans they''d twisted and broken into becoming Demons. You have a Royal Bloodline, rejoice, your majesty." Sasha said that part in a jokey way, slightly bowing. Amon had an expression of realization on his face; no wonder he had such monumental arrogance and bloodlust, it was because he was a Royal Demon Lord.Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere. Seeing his expression of realization, Sasha knew that Amon had understood what she had said and that he''d pieced it all together in his head. She gave Amon a minute before carrying on about his other bloodline. "You really were gifted with two incredibly powerful bloodlines, Amon. Your Dragon Bloodline is from a Primordial Abyss Dragon." Sasha seemed to be reminiscing about something she''d seen "Dragons so big, they outgrew their homes in the ocean, on land and in the sky and had to live under the Earth and massive cave systems they made for themselves." Amon was shocked by what he''d heard, the Dragons must have had to be absolutely massive to outgrow their homes in the sea, on land, and in the sky. Sasha carried on, despite Amon''s expression of wonder. "Like I said yesterday, they grew so big Magic alone couldn''t sustain them so they found a way to produce blood through Draconic Magic and became the first and only Dragons to have blood and because their blood was made through magic, it became one of their affinities. As you might expect from their massive size, their strength was unmatched but it came with a con; they had to eat a lot of things. But that''s a story for another day unless you start to feel astoundingly ravenous, then you come to me instantly, got it?" Sasha''s face looked serious to the extreme at the minute, unlike her usual goofy attitude, so Amon knew that this was very serious and nodded his head. Knowing his Bloodlines, Amon couldn''t help but feel his pride burst forth in his chest. A Royal Demon Lord and a Primordial Dragon, what a matchup for a powerful hybrid. But Amon understood that the others probably had powerful combinations as well, so he didn''t let himself get ahead of himself. He also thought about the disdain shown to Bloodline Warriors from the Class and Ability Users, so there should be something incredibly powerful about them as well. ''But regardless of their power, I''ll still win, I''ll still crush them, it doesn''t matter.'' Amon''s competitiveness started stirring again. He resolved himself to show Class and Ability Users that he was just as good, if not better, than them. "Thanks for the information Sasha, I appreciate it." Amon smiled as he walked out of the kitchen. Amon was starting to see Sasha and the others of the SS class as his comrades in arms when against the Class and Ability Users. But apart from that, they were his rivals and he had to show them some kind of respect. Amon wondered if Jax was gonna be just as competitive as him. As they both re-entered the living room, everyone was messing about with their elements a bit more. Michael was running and stopping instantly, or running at his max speed and then making impossible turns, showing his control over his Velocity and Inertia Affinities. Julia was messing about with balls of fire and ice, rotating them around her. Fae was doing the same but with Water and Earth balls. Lilith had snakes of black mist slithering around the vicinity of her body, along with lightning snakes doing the same thing. All 4 of them were showing superb levels of control of their element and Sasha seemed to think they were ready for the next thing. "Which ones of you are focusing on physical combat and which ones want to be mages?" Sasha asked while pointing at one sofa marking it as the physical side and the other at another sofa marking it as mage. Amon, Fae, and Michael went to the warrior side and Lilith and Julia went over to the Mage side. "Okay, good. Follow me." Sasha walked to the door to exit the house. Amon and the others hurriedly walked after her, Julia asked Sasha on the way "Where are we going and what are we gonna do there?" Julia was confused, shouldn''t they have focused on magic for a bit longer? "Well, for the Warriors we''re getting them their weapons and then we''ll let them pick some martial arts they want. For you Mages, we''ll get you your Mage Gloves and then let you pick out some books on your elements/affinities for you to research and create attacks of your own with the notes in the books as the foundation." Sasha said matter-of-factly as she carried on walking. Amon''s eyes lit up at the mention of weapons and martial arts, he was suddenly very excitable about where they were going and got incredibly energetic. Michael was the same, while Lilith, Fae, and Julia just looked at the two of them like they were little kids who were going to get some candy. Before long they got to the building they were first visiting, the Storage Room. Chapter 12 - Weapon Amon looked at the storage room and felt the hidden killing intent and bloodlust from the multitude of weapons hidden within it. Feeling the air full of those things, Amon felt like he was a fish in water; he felt at home. The others, however, were all pale and seemed like they were being pressured massively. Amon was surprised to see Lilith, a Demon like him, being pressured as well. Sasha was the only person other than Amon that didn''t seem pressured but she didn''t seem as unfettered as Amon, however. Sasha gave the others a bracelet that seemed to take the pressure for them before they all walked in. As they entered the first floor, Sasha started explaining about the storage room "As you can feel it, this place has a Field around it that takes the inherent bloodlust from a weapon and boosts it and focuses it on whoever enters here." everyone had expressions of realization on their faces. Seeing that they understood, Sasha carried on "There are 5 floors, each with more and more pressure and bloodlust on it but the higher the floor, the better the weapons you''ll find up there. But beware, each time you enter a floor, your bracelets won''t block any of the pressure for a full minute, so you''ll have to withstand it on your own." Sasha''s word caused a bit of surprise to flash across the others faces. They were under the impression that they''d just be walking in and picking a weapon, not being tested once again. Amon, not wanting to wait, entered the storage room before all the others, seemingly excited at the thought of getting a weapon. As he entered the first floor, Amon instantly disregarded it and walked up the stairs to the second floor; the first floor didn''t affect him so the weapons must be pretty trashy. If anyone knew what he''d just thought, they''d go completely red in anger. Every weapon in the storage room was superior in quality to normal weapons regardless of the floor it was from. Amon also skipped past the second floor as the pressure just felt a little more thick, not stopping any of his movements, so he disregarded the weapons on this floor as well. The same went for the third floor as well. But when Amon reached the fourth floor, the pressure increased by so much that even Amon''s knees buckled a little. Amon felt like he was on an ancient battlefield, surrounded by mountains of corpses and rivers of blood but contrary to what a normal person would look like, Amon had a crazily excited face as he wondered; If this is what the fourth floor is like, what''s the fifth floor gonna be like? Amon got used to the pressure slowly as he walked up the staircase to the fifth floor, as he was walking he felt something weird happen. His body''s cells seemed to be ravenously devouring the surrounding bloodlust, as they''d finally found something akin to a delicacy to them. The bloodlust seemed to feed his cells, and these cells seemed to generate endless energy and vitality. Amon was surprised by this and decided to try something out when he reached the fifth floor. At the top of the staircase, Amon looked into the fifth floor without entering it. What he saw were many peerless weapons, each with a description next to them and each weapon seemed like it was bathed in oceans of blood and personally made mountains of corpses which would reach the skies. Amon took his first step into the floor and felt the pressure all hit him at once, it was at least twentyfold more intense than the pressure on the fourth floor. But this didn''t deter Amon in the slightest, he instead walked a few more steps in and sat down in a meditating position.Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. Running his Breathing Technique, Amon saw that not only did he drag in Magic Energy, but he also pulled in some kind of Blood energy as well. The Blood energy nourished his bones, muscles and the rest of his body and what wasn''t absorbed by his body immediately was kept inside his cells and would be absorbed over time when the cells needed extra energy. After storing as much Blood energy as he could, Amon was pleased with his stronger body which allowed him to better resist the pressure. In fact, it wasn''t his body strength that helped him resist the pressure but because his affinity to Blood was constantly being upgraded by absorbing the Blood energy and this allowed him to walk through the bloodlust and pressure that came with it like it wasn''t there in the first place. Amon looked around at the weapons, seeing slender swords and rapiers which he instantly crossed off the list because they looked like they''d snap under his strength. The next thing he looked at was the big swords, like massive slabs of sharpened metal. Amon was tempted for a brief moment before moving onto the next section of weapons. While these weapons would show the full potential of his power, he had no weapons training and he''d be behind others who have training in the weapons if he decided to pick up a weapon now. So Amon had one option; Gauntlets. These would help him use his hand to hand techniques without him having to worry about his fingers getting chopped off by some bladed weapon. The only problem with that was that there didn''t seem to be any Gauntlets on the fifth floor. After looking all over the floor, Amon finally found what he wanted and excitement bubbled up from his core when he saw it. The pair of gauntlets looked incredibly unique. Mainly because they didn''t just cover the hands and forearms but would cover all the way up to the shoulder. They were as black as night and could only really be seen because of the light reflecting off of them. On the elbow, there was a black spike protruding from it, it curved slightly towards the shoulder joint. Each segment of armor looked incredibly sharp and looked like not much could cause it to be dented or even scratched. It didn''t even look like it''d be possible for someone to move their arm with it on because of it''s lack of joint openings which allowed movement, instead it just looked like plates of sharp metal stuck together. The hands of the gauntlet looked exactly like a person''s hands except that the knuckles were armored heavily protruded like they were made to cause damage. Amon walked over to the Gauntlets and picked them up before putting them on. They were a bit tight but before he could try and take them off, they latched into his skin causing him to let out a roar of pain. The sound of metal bending and tearing sounded out throughout the entirety of the fifth floor, along with roars of pain as well. Before long, Amon felt the pain slowly stopping and looked at the gauntlets on his arms that had grown in size to fit his arms perfectly. Amon looked at the fingertips and willed his claws to come out. The metal magically moved out of the way of the claws that were making their way out of Amon''s fingertips and once the claws were fully extended, the metal moved across the claws, supporting it like an exoskeleton but it didn''t cover the whole claw, it left the edges and tip free of the metal covering. Amon''s claws blended perfectly with the gauntlet now, not only in color but also in appearance. The gauntlets looked like the arms of a fierce Demon, rather than metal gauntlets. Amon, having picked his weapon, walked towards the stairs while reviewing some basic information he gained when the gauntlets merged with him. The Gauntlets were called [Gauntlets of Abaddon] which explained Amon''s sense of affinity with them. They were made up of a living metal that once merged with a host would grow stronger with them, Amon also learned that every weapon on the fifth floor was made of living metal and would merge with a user if they had an affinity. Once he walked down to the fourth floor, he saw the others trudging up the stairs like Zombies. When they saw the carefree Amon, with his Demonic-looking Gauntlets, they could only look at him in Envy. Amon smirked at their expressions before telling them to try and get weapons on the fifth floor because they were far superior to the rest of the weapons in the storage room. After they nodded and carried on, Amon kept walking down the stairs until he came to the exit, where he walked out and decided to test the destructive power of his newly-acquired Gauntlets. Chapter 13 - Martial Arts Amon walked out of the building with a confident gait, his head tilted upward like someone of importance. Sasha seeing Amon walk out with some demonic-looking gauntlets on, she showed no surprise, like she expected him to get them. "I see you found the Gauntlets of Abaddon." from Sasha''s smirk and mirthful voice, Amon figured that she knew he''d choose these. Amon chuckled back at her. When he arrived in front of her he thought of a question he''d been wondering about for a while since picking up his weapon. "How come there are so many powerful weapons here?" Sasha shrugged her shoulders at the question "Well, did you think Humans and Animals were the only things assimilated into the system? Because they weren''t." Hearing Sasha''s answer, Amon widened his eyes in surprise, he didn''t expect that answer but when he thought about it, her answer did make sense. "Can you explain it a bit further? Did everything change? How much has changed?" Sasha, seeing Amon''s need for an answer, told him to come and sit with her over at a bench nearby before she started speaking. "Okay, where to start...Unlike Humans and Animals, not every piece of equipment, cutlery or weapon awakened as something else. But things that did awaken changed into mythical or better versions of themselves. Antique weapons renewed themselves into better versions of their prime and Kitchen knives turned into swords and sabers, stuff like that. And we, the Terminus Company, used our resources to gather the better and superior weapons from wherever we could. Does that explain what you want to know?" Sasha looked at the thinking Amon, trying to figure out what he was thinking about, but she was cut off from doing that as Amon suddenly stood up. "Yeah, I get it. I''m gonna go over to that rock and test these Gauntlets out." Amon pointed his claw at a big rock in the middle of the little courtyard. Without waiting to see if it was fine, Amon walked towards the rock. The rock in question was about 5 meters tall and 3 meters in diameter, Amon thought that it was good enough for a test. Rolling his shoulders, getting ready to punch with his max strength Amon walked as he continued his stretches. By the time he was done with his stretches, he was standing in front of the rock he was going to test himself on. Amon squared his shoulders, grounded himself and got into a simple boxing stance. Amon let the power build up from his legs as he stepped forward, the power went through his hips as he rotated them adding more power to the punch, Amon''s fist was already causing the wind in the area to become turbulent like if an explosion had just happened. When Amon''s fist hit the stone, he pushed forward with all his power, crumbling the stone in his fist''s way. The fist sunk into the rock like it was made of cardboard, causing cracks to spread fully throughout the massive rock. Amon was surprised as he saw the thin and thick cracks running throughout the rock. He felt that his power along could send cracks throughout the rock but not cracks this thick, so Amon came to the conclusion that the Gauntlets seemed to amplify his power slightly. Pulling his fist from the rock, he looked at his gauntlet, unscathed from its collision with a hard and massive rock. This result sent a satisfied and manic smile across Amon''s face, he was wondering and dreaming about the supremacy he would show in a fight with these Gauntlets. The rock trembled slightly, startling Amon out of his stupor. Amon closely looked at the rock and was surprised by what he saw; the rock was slowly repairing itself. Sasha walked up next to Amon, who was staring curiously at the rock and tapped him on the shoulder. "I bet you''re surprised, right? This place has a restoration field surrounding it to repair any damage it sustains." Amon lifted his eyebrows at what she said, these fields seemed like they''re very beneficial to allies but incredibly annoying to enemies, he was already feeling annoyed at dealing with them in the future. By the time the rock had healed, everyone came out with a weapon from the storage room. Amon looked at each of their weapons with curious eyes. Michael had a slender sword, it''s handle and the hilt was white and the blade was an ice-like blue, it gave off an aura of being swift and having deadly precision. Julia came out with a pair of gloves, one covered in mist and colored ice blue, the other gave off waves of heat and was a fiery red.Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere. Fae had a two-handed shield, which she held with one hand easily, and a big bastard sword which she also held with one arm with absolute ease. Both the shield and sword were green, with dabbles of dark blue here and there. Lilith had a pair of gloves which were the same pure white color, unlike Julia''s which were different. Both of the gloves seemed to glow with a pure light, but along the gloves, black lines were here and there and showed a light of corruption. Amon knew these weapons were from the fifth floor as he remembered seeing them. So he knew that each of these was made of living metal and couldn''t be separated from the users. Amon himself wondered for a while on how to draw his gauntlets off his hands. He soon figured it out after thinking and transmitting his thoughts to the Gauntlets. Before long after he''d sent his thoughts to the living metal making up his weapon, the metal bending sounds from when it merged with him sounded out again as it moved and compressed itself into two tape-thin, metal strips wrapped around his wrists. Looking at the metal strips Amon felt slightly relieved; he didn''t want to go round wearing gauntlets, they''d probably get in the way of everything outside of battle. Sasha called everyone over and told them to follow her to the Martial Library. Before leaving, Amon told the others, mainly Fae and Michael, how to draw their weapon into their body to avoid it getting in the way. On the way, Michael continued to interrogate Sasha about whether there''d be some kind of stupid test to get any of the Martial Arts, to which Sasha said they''d find out when they got there to everyone''s annoyance. After a brief 5 minute walk, all 6 of them arrived at the Martial Library and Sasha hurried them inside. When they were inside they saw a long hallway full of passageways, and Sasha started to explain some things. "Okay, so now that we''re in here, I can explain. We gained these martial books from the Database we found on that ship. Weirdly, they kept a lot of Secret Arts and Martial Arts on that Database, so I guess they openly shared their techniques because you need to be a certain race to practice some." She spoke as they continued to walk while pointing at all the new-looking books stored in shelves built into the walls. When they reached the end of the hall, there was a bowl on an altar and Sasha continued to speak. "Okay, Lilith, Julia, go and look around in the passageways on the left for Mage stuff. You three, come over her." she pointed towards where she was standing which was right next to the altar. Julia and Lilith walked off, chatting with each other, into the closest passageway and Amon and the other two walked over to Sasha. "Amon, step forth and drip some of your blood into the bowl." Sasha looked seriously at Amon to show him that this had to be done like she knew he''d be annoyed at the thought of having to give blood, his Draconic and Demonic heritage roaring in defiance at the idea. Amon calmed his raging instincts and poked one of his fingers with one of his claws and let a drop of blood and nothing more fall into the bowl. As soon as the blood hit the bowl, a sanguine light burst forth and red line-like runes spread from the bowl and down the altar into the floor, sending some kind of signal. Before long, 2 books appeared out of nowhere above the altar and fell into Amon''s outstretched hand startling Amon but he soon smiled when he saw the titles. The titles drew in Amon''s gaze, mainly because they were written in blood red and an incredibly sharp and aggressive way. "Ooo [Royal Demon Martial Arts] and [Slayer Martial Arts], you really do have a talent for war and killing, something we need for the coming war." Sasha''s voice rang out to the side of Amon taking his attention away from the books. Michael lightly pushed Amon aside in his excitement, gaining a glare from Amon before he dripped a drop of blood into the bowl causing a similar occurrence to what happened when Amon dripped his blood into the bowl to happen again. Before long, 2 books appeared and fell into Michael''s hand. Amon could clearly see the titles and while they didn''t give off a bloodthirsty and violent aura as his did, he did not underestimate their power. "[Royal Angel Sword Arts] and [Instant Sword Art] very suitable for you, Michael. I hope for you to live up to your potential." Sasha nodded her head with her eyes closed like some kind of sagely advisor causing Amon to snort at her in disdain. Fae walked up to the bowl and unlike Amon and Michael, let a lot of her blood drop into the bowl like she didn''t care and the altar repeated it''s earlier appearance of sanguine light and filled with runes. Two books appeared as it did with Amon and Michael''s and the books seemed more mellow than either of theirs, not being as domineering in its display of power. It instead seemed like a calm beast of some kind, not explicitly showing it''s power but you could still tell it was strong. "[Black Tortoise Absolute Defence Arts] and [High Human Sword and Shield Arts]. Hmm, quite good for you, Fae." Sasha seemed satisfied with all three of their Martial Art books they''d gotten from the Library. Amon and the others seemed quite enthralled in their Martial Books and didn''t pay much attention to Sasha. Sasha seemed slightly annoyed by this and continued talking "Well, you all know where the Training Grounds are, right? You can all go there to go practice and what not. No matter the things you need to practice these Arts, you can get it there." Sasha hurried them out before she went back inside to wait for Lilith and Julia. Michael instantly dashed off with his Magic and Fae ran as well, while Amon looked at his book with passionate eyes; he felt that these books would elevate his combat ability to new levels and that sent the Martial Fanatic inside him absolutely mental. Finally, Amon started walking towards the Training Grounds. Chapter 14 - Training Amon walked for a while before he arrived at the Training Grounds, it was just a basic field with a few dummies here and there but they each gave off a metallic sheen and seem indestructible. Amon walked up to one of the Dummies, looking about for Michael and Fae wondering where they were but soon shrugged figuring they were their own people, he didn''t need to know where they were at all times. He sat down and opened the [Royal Demon Martial Arts] and looked through the pages. The book was quite thick but that was only because there were so many different kinds of Demons who were in the Royal Family. Amon had to instead look for the Demon he shared the most traits with and then practice their martial art. The main characteristics Amon was looking for were Arrogance, Battle Crazed, High Brute Strength, Tail, Claws, and Single Horn. After looking through multiple pages he finally found one that suited him, it was from a Demon race by the name of Behemoths. They were titans of the battlefield, using their incredible brute strength and high durability to crush their opponents, they also had a bladed tail which would help Amon bring his own tail into combat. The more Amon read about the Behemoths the more he realized that that''s what he must be but he was confused as he knew he had the bloodline of Abaddon. It didn''t take long before he realized that the Behemoths must have also had Abaddon''s Bloodline. Amon stood up and got into the Behemoth''s Combat Stance. The stance seemed quite simple but if someone well-versed in martial arts and killing were to look at it, they would see the brutal efficiency of the stance. Every opening, if there were any, could easily be covered by the stances range. Standing in the stance, Amon realized that he wouldn''t have to worry about someone stealing his newly-acquired martial art because you needed to have a very big body to fully pull off the movements in it. If a person below the height of 6"9 even tried to stand in the way the stance was made to, they''d most likely dislocate their joints from the extensive movements they''d have to do. Amon couldn''t quite understand why this was but guessed it was to keep the martial art in the Behemoth race. Amon threw out a simple punch like the book showed and watched as his fist flew like a rolling boulder into the dummy causing it to shack viciously back and forth with a slight fist indent on it. Amon cast an annoyed glance at the fact he didn''t crush to dummy but he soon snuffed that annoyance as he felt relief; relief at having a dummy that could take his training punches. The training stance for the art was to instill the values of a Behemoth into the practitioner before taking it onto the more advanced stances. These values were as such: Brutality, Ruthlessness, and Efficiency. Amon continued training and instilling his fighting style with these values. But Amon didn''t just do that, he carved the values into his very body. Every punch caused his muscles and bones to ache and Amon used this ache to baptize his body, tempering it like impure metal in a forge. As he seemed to be suited to this Martial Art, Amon made a lot of progress over a short amount of time but he didn''t let it get to his head, well, too much anyway. It was only a training stance, so in the end, it wouldn''t be too hard anyway. Amon''s punches and kicks, tails whips and elbow blows were smoothly melding together like a deadly storm, gaining more and more combat power with every drop of sweat and effort Amon shed. A slight aura started to be cultivated around him, it was a brutal aura, like a bloodbath waiting to happen. A red mist seemed to slowly move around Amon giving off a bloody smell, but along with that, a more metallic smell sprang up as if he''d just came from a battlefield. You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story. Right now, Amon was being forged into a warrior. A very deadly warrior, indeed. POV Change - Jax Jax thrust his spear repeatedly into the monster in front of him. The monster looked like a German Shepard, the only differences being it was 6ft tall, had blood red eyes and had a maw full of blood and human flesh. Jax was currently out on an experience gaining trip with his ''Hero'' Group. If Amon were to see Jax now, he''d be surprised. The usually relaxed and carefree youth was nowhere to be seen, in his place was a serious-faced boy, with no signs of a smile on his face at all. The thing that would surprise Amon the most would be the fact that Jax wasn''t smiling. Jax always smiled, bar incredibly serious matters like the one involving Molly''s father, and he always seemed to make it his job to be the group joker, always making people laugh or at least trying to anyway. But right now, he had a grim expression on and had incredibly cold eyes. He''d been training relentlessly to get stronger than he was when the agents came for him. Before they took them in, he, Molly and Amon''s mom, Beth, all denied their invitations to the training course because they simply wanted to stay with Amon and Lilith. But this denial wasn''t returned with the most understanding of attitudes. Instead, the agents threatened and blackmailed all three of them with the promise that if they didn''t come along to the training camp, they''d kill Amon and Lilith purely because, in their words, they were ''Filthy Nonhumans'' now. This threat instantly got Beth on board, as a mother she wouldn''t let any harm come to her child if she could help it. Jax and Molly also agreed after this; they didn''t want their stubbornness to get their best friends killed. Jax felt a spurt of anger at what happened that day and activated a skill. His spear went red like hot metal and spurted flams from the tip as he thrust it forward into the dog-beasts eye and into its brain, killing it. Congratulations! You''ve reached level 11! Jax felt a rush of heat go through his body. This feeling was something he''d experienced a lot recently; leveling up. It was one of the perks of having a class. After killing a monster, he would gain exp and it would contribute to his exp bar and eventually he would level up where his body would get stronger and his mana reserves would get bigger. Each level would dramatically increase his power as well, so he was one step closer to his dream. His dream being, getting back to his two best friends and away from the clutches of the company he was currently in. As Jax wiped his spear on the monster''s fur to get rid of the blood, he looked at the blue sky above him and couldn''t help but think that he''d left his friendship with Amon on a bit of a bad note. After Amon killed those 3 orcs who broke into his house, Jax, like any other person would, felt a bit scared of Amon and didn''t speak to him much but after he himself saw how the world was he couldn''t help but think about it in a different way. Amon just did what needed to be done, those Orcs would''ve killed him and Amon and then raped the three women if Amon hadn''t stopped them. And from what Jax had read, Bloodline Warriors had incredibly strong instincts which caused their actions to be slightly, well, inhuman in nature. Just like how those Orcs wanted to have sex with women, an overpowering instinct for lower class Orcs, Amon''s instincts most likely told him to kill the attacking Orcs and before he knew it, he''d killed them. This was the conclusion Jax had come to through his research and although he could be wrong, Jax still had hope for his best friend. Jax turned towards Molly who was dressed in light leather armor and Beth who was in a Mage Robe, he shook off his thoughts about Amon as he had things to protect in the now rather than think about what he''s going to do with Amon in the future. Chapter 15 - Graduating from the Training Stance and Joint Training Soon A giant figure that gave off an aura of brutality and power constantly hit a metallic dummy. Sometimes with his fists, sometimes with his tail, the only thing that stayed the same was the violent momentum present in each hit, like it was an unstoppable juggernaut. The figure''s upper body was in full view. Each muscle looked perfect, each of them working in impeccable sync with one another like the cogs of a clock. The body looked like it was a statue made out of bronze, with the bronze skin color of the person punching the dummy wet with sweat which gave it a slight metallic feel. The giant figure was obviously Amon. He''d been constantly practicing the Behemoth Martial Art for a few days now, only stopping to eat food with Lilith and spar with Michael. His progress was stunning from Sasha''s point of view. On the first day he was still a bit clunky with his movements like he was a slightly rusty robot but by the 3rd day of practicing it seemed like he''d been practicing the Art for a year or two based purely off of how smoothly each of his movements moved from one to the other. Amon himself had found that he could run his breathing technique while practicing the technique to temper his body into the right vessel when it came to practicing the Martial Art, which attributed a lot to his explosive progress. This seemed to be one of the added benefits from the breathing technique; adaptation. The adaptation didn''t change his appearance but it changed how his body worked in some ways using his pure and dense magic power to do the actual changing. For example, the Behemoth Martial Art required a surprising amount of control to be used correctly, the kind of control Amon didn''t quite have. But due to a certain nagging feeling he kept feeling, Amon tried to run the technique during his practice and felt his control getting better and better which helped his progress. Amon increased his personal gravity and effectively stuck himself to the ground by making his body incredibly heavy, he strained his magic power a bit by also using his density magic on his arm making it much harder, he did all this before rearing back his fist and throwing a full powered punch at the dummy. His aura exploded outwards sending black and red energy out like the waves of a tsunami. His energy seemed to be forming into two different entities but they were too blurry to see any details. As his aura reached its peak, his fist hit the dummy sending out a deafening shockwave, his fist leaving a 3-inch deep fist indent. Amon looked satisfied with the indent he''d put into the dummy; it was a massive improvement on his first try that didn''t even manage to get a single inch inward. Amon realized he''d finally trained the Behemoth Art to the required stage to move past the training stance. Sighing in satisfaction, Amon sat down and meditated while running the breathing technique, seeming to suck in all of his aura back into his body. It was a sort of energy recycling. It had no use in battle as it needed both a clear mind and to be undisturbed by outside influences but it was perfect to draw in any wasted energy from training. While Amon continued to recycle the energy he thought about the other book he received in the library. Opening his eyes and letting out a breath of stale air, Amon pulled out a book from a satchel next to the dummy. As he looked at the blood red writing on the book, Amon couldn''t help but admire the power in the letters of each word, like it took a river of blood for each of them. Amon opened the book to the same view he''d seen every time he''d opened the book the past few days. It was a mantra, written in a rough, violent way and the mantra simply said: I am a weapon. My goal is to slay perfectly, calmly and without error. I will not think, I will not feel and I will not hesitate because I, I am a weapon. Amon resonated with these words slightly when he looked at them but he felt like he was missing something. Something essential to practicing the martial art. Amon meditated on the mantra, repeating it in his head constantly trying to find the meaning behind it.If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it. Amon felt he was getting closer and closer to figuring it out each day he meditated on it. POV Change - Jax "Sir, but what''s the difference between our class leveling system and the Bloodline Warrior''s cultivation system?" Jax put his hand down as he asked a question to his teacher. He was currently in a classroom with other "Hero" candidates. Either they had a class with Hero included in the name or their class'' potential was incredibly high, just like any other hero class. The teacher, a short, wizened old man pondered Jax''s question for a while before finally answering it. "They cultivate in realms and stages, focusing on the body and their affinities. While we Classers level up and then we ascend our Class to a higher level, we focus on technique and skills with a secondary focus on the body." he took a sip of some tea next to him before he carried on "Bloodline Warriors start off much stronger than us Classers, but our growth speed is much faster than the average Bloodline Warrior as we just need to gain exp by killing things while they need long arduous training to get stronger." Jax could sense some disdain in his teacher''s words when he talked about Bloodline Warriors. Molly, who was sitting next to him, also put her hand up to ask a question. "Sir, why does it seem that everyone looks down on Bloodline Warriors?" her question surprised the old man and caused the class to begin murmuring between themselves. Amon''s mom, Beth, perked up when she heard Molly''s question; she wished to know why her son had to be disdained by others. "Well, Molly, it''s because of their animalistic instincts. They seem to be more beast than human most of the time but it isn''t like that with every non-human. Some are as civilized as us Humans. Elves, Cultivators and High Humans are all high-level races in terms of not having vicious instincts. However, the majority of high-ranking Bloodline Warriors have some... unsavory instincts." the disdain the old man held for Bloodline Warriors was apparent in his speech; he spoke like they were wild animals below humans. Beth had to close her eyes in a sort of mini-meditation to calm herself; the teacher was unknowingly talking about her son while degrading Bloodline Warriors. Jax and Molly seemed quite calm but that was only to keep up appearances, deep down they were raging at the treatment their friends were getting. But alas, there was nothing that could do about it. Well, yet, anyway. The old man seemed to remember something as he spoke again. "Oh, I just remembered, we''ll be doing a training program with the Bloodline Warriors within a few days. Beware, I''ve heard their SS training group is full of some incredibly strong people this time. They''ll currently be stronger than you but if you put in enough grinding these next few days, you should shorten the gap. Remember what I said, these people have high-ranking bloodlines, they should have some rather unpleasant instincts, so be cautious around them." The old man''s eyes went incredibly serious as he said the last bit. This seriousness caused most of the students to nervously gulp and nod, agreeing to be careful. Jax, Molly, and Beth, however, nodded with indifferent expressions, along with two others. The old man secretly nodded as he dismissed the class, those 5 who were indifferent to his pressure were really suited to be the 5 people with Hero Classes. POV Change - Amon "So we have to do a joint training program with those Classers for 2 weeks? Hah!" Michael snorted in disdain, a bit of his Tiger''s sides pride coming through. Julia showed the same disdain because the classers were a lot weaker than them at the moment, both physically and magic wise. The only edge they had was their technique with certain weapons and fighting styles were quite impeccable. Amon snorted at this thought. Technique couldn''t completely overwhelm pure power, and his Demon and Draconic sides thought it was silly to fully rely on it, although it was useful to supplement power. Amon''s more human thoughts came in and made his instincts quieten down a bit as he thought about who they were joining up with. ''The Hero Training Program! That''s where Jax, Molly, and Mom are!'' Amon felt a burst of excitement go through him. He didn''t think he''d get to meet them so soon. He looked to Lilith only to see the same excitement on her face as well. But he had found out from Sasha that they weren''t the only people in the Hero Class, there was bound to be some arrogant twat in the class without the strength to back up his arrogance. Amon saw the hypocrisy in his words but ignored it. He had the right to be arrogant, his bloodlines were both considered royalty and his power backed up his arrogance. Amon''s head slowly inclined upward, whether it was on purpose or not, only he knew. "So, for the next few days, train as hard as you can got it?!" Sasha''s face seemed to be lit up like a flame fueled by her competitive spirit. Everyone looked at her, slightly infected by her passion, and nodded enthusiastically along with her speech. Amon soon left the nodding idiots in the living room as he walked upstairs to his room. He sat on his bed and brought out the [Slayer Martial Arts]. Yesterday he''d gotten close to a breakthrough after meditating on the mantra for the entire day and he was going to attempt to a breakthrough in the next few days in preparation for the joint training program. Chapter 16 - Preparation and Breakthrough Amon kept repeating the mantra from the Slayer Arts in his head as he meditated. It didn''t take long for him to feel something was happening because of him repeating the mantra constantly. He felt like his head had been struck by lightning and was now on fire, the pain was quite excruciating but Amon powered through it as he''d experienced worse pain before. Slowly but surely, the ''fire'' started seeping into his head turning into information about something. Amon didn''t catch most of it, only certain words like ''weak point'' ''efficiency'' ''precision'' and ''kill''. This confused Amon quite a lot as the information stopped flowing into his head and this made Amon worry a little bit. What if he''d messed up and couldn''t practice the Art now? Amon didn''t want all his hard work to go down the drain. Amon felt something was wrong, so he pulled out the Slayer Arts and opened the first page only to be surprised with what he saw. The mantra was now gone and in its place were some pictures which looked like medical diagrams. Amon squinted his eyes at the book and read through the text on the first page. As he started reading a smile grew across his face, with each paragraph he read added more and more to the smiles savage look. Amon had heard a saying once that the best doctor in the world could also be the best killer and this book proved it right. All the medical diagrams were centered around the weak points of the body, how to strike them and how much power was needed to cause maximum damage. Amon thought about the possibilities this book could do for his combat, how much more efficient it could make him. Unlike the Behemoth Martial Art, this Martial Art was purely mental, there was no form or stance but in fact, relied purely on mental discipline. If you had to hit a certain place it didn''t matter if you had a strong body, if your mental control over your body was weak you''d never be able to hit that certain place. What the Slayer Arts would give Amon was something to help him control himself during battle. The book pretty much ran off of the principle that the body is nothing but a plaything of the mind. But Amon knew he wouldn''t be able to achieve the highest level of what the book said if he didn''t practice the mental mantras in the book constantly while attempting to control everything in his body. So he got to work. Amon crossed his legs and put his hands on the floor like he was about to do a handstand. Then he lifted himself up into a handstand and kept himself there as he went through the mantras. Amon felt he could try something as he grasped control of his surrounding gravity. It felt like trying to grab an oil-covered snake but in the end, he grabbed it and started affecting it, changing it. By the time he was finished, he''d changed the gravity in a 3m diameter around him so it was about 3 times stronger than usual. It helped him work up a sweat to temper his mental discipline. As he was doing this, he thought about how he hadn''t had a breakthrough in his Demonic Cultivation in a while. He''d linked up his first 3 gates and he was getting closer and closer to breaking the 4th one. Amon went over what the information in his head said about the 4th gate. It was called the Gate of Blood and it would completely reform the hearts and cardiovascular system into something that''s miles ahead of what it was before. Also having a secondary effect of giving the user incredible self-healing capabilities and incredible endurance. Amon figured that he should attempt a breakthrough soon before the joint training program begins, he needs to be overwhelmingly powerful to keep the Classers in check and also because he wanted to show his mom she didn''t have to worry about him; he was strong enough to look after himself. A few hours passed, with Amon not moving from his cross-legged handstand and in fact moving onto only using one of his hands to balance himself and occasionally switching to his other hand to make sure they were both used thoroughly. If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. Amon stopped the training and returned gravity back to normal. He wiped the sweat off his body with a nearby towel, while sighing relief after the strain of keeping his gravity magic going was finally released. Feeling hungry, Amon walked back to the house. On his way back he ran into Michael who looked incredibly ragged which caused Amon to laugh; the usually Mr.Perfect now looked like a homeless guy. Michael grimaced when he saw Amon because he knew this was the reaction he''d get. After Amon stopped laughing, they both carried on back to their home and Michael explained to him why he looked so haggard. "So, you''re telling me that you lost control of your Velocity Magic and flung yourself through a few walls?..." Amon looked at Michael like he was an idiot before he started laughing again, only adding to Michael''s already grim face. They both soon got home and Michael ran to his room at his fastest speed to avoid ruining his image in front of Julia who usually sat in the living room. Amon shrugged at Michael''s misfortune; this rival of his was quite a clumsy guy when you got to know him. Amon took off his shirt which was soaked in sweat and threw it into the laundry basket (Washing basket if you''re British) in the hall before walking towards the kitchen to get himself some food. Walking through the living room, he suffered the interested glances of Julia, the lust-filled glances of Lilith and Fae wolf whistling at his naked upper body. Part of him took pride in the glances but the majority of him felt a bit embarrassed. Not that he showed any of that, he just ignored them and went towards the fridge in the kitchen. Opening the fridge, Amon grabbed the leftovers of a massive turkey Julia had done for them the other day along with a bit of fruit and walked over to the table where he ravenously devoured all of it. It didn''t take long for Amon to finish all the food and let out a satisfied burb as a result. Amon sat there thinking about how he should go about his next breakthrough. It was quite a risky area, plus he had to open two gates each one in each of his hearts. Amon decided to go and give it a go, so he walked up to his room. He got there in no time and sat down on his massive bed and started cultivating. The usual tyrannical and imperious aura appeared like usual and the energy around him poured itself into his nose and mouth. After he broke through the last gate and all three of them joined up, he found that he could pull in and store much more energy in his body and he guessed the reason for that was because he needed enough energy to break two gates for the sake of opening up the full Gate of Blood. It didn''t take long for Amon to gather two large balls of energy around his hearts. He started slowly grinding the energy into his hearts towards the little black ball floating inside of them. It was going slowly, like a river that slowly erodes a massive boulder but unlike that river, Amon''s energy was being controlled by him. So he used it intelligently. He used his energy in a certain way to send cracks throughout both of the pearls, something telling him that he should breakthrough both of them at the same time for the most improvements. When the cracks had spread fully throughout the Gates, Amon started using his energy like a hammer and started crushing the Gates furthering the size of the cracks in it. But this wasn''t without repercussions, trickles of blood spurted out of Amon''s chest and his mouth, like two independent waterfalls. The pain was mind-numbing, the kind of pain that made you lose control of your body. But Amon persevered and grit his teeth, continuing his assault on the Gates. He didn''t care about the injuries because he knew his incredibly strong body''s vitality would be able to heal them fully after he broke through. The breakthrough was incredibly tiring, both mentally and physically, for Amon. But slowly, the Gates were crumbling and this discovery was pushing Amon onward. He refused to give up against two puny Gates. From somewhere deep within, an anger and pride spurted out onto the surface. Amon just couldn''t believe two mere Gates were standing in his way and were stopping his advancement. His anger seemed to add a tenacious attribute to his Energy and let it do more attacks on the Gates. ''Break. Just break!'' Amon''s veins were bulging on his skin, looking like mini-snakes moving about angrily under his skin. His energy completely ravaged the Gates, causing injuries to both the Gates and his Hearts making him cough up mouthful after mouthful of blood. Luckily his vitality was already quite robust otherwise he''d probably have died from the injuries to his hearts. Before long, Amon''s tyrannical energy broke the Gates open completely causing wave after wave of physical energy to temper his Hearts, Blood and Internal Organs. Amon couldn''t feel satisfied with his breakthrough however because he passed out as soon as he broke through. Amon only felt a painful headache before everything went black. Chapter 17 - New Ideas and Forms Amon slowly opened his eyes to see the wooden flooring of his room. Confusion appeared in his eyes as he saw this and felt something like armor wrapped around his body. Picking himself up, Amon heard cracks coming from whatever was on his body. Looking down at it, Amon saw that he was cocooned in layers of impurities and bad blood. Amon grimaced in disgust as he began ripping away at the layers. Before long he was free of his cocoon and could see his upper body once again. His skin looked like it''d been purified and looked unblemished by anything a normal human would suffer from. Looking in the mirror, Amon admired his skin that looked like pure bronze metal sheets. He looked at his eyes in the mirror, they looked bright red, like two pools of blood. The slit pupil gave them a wild, bestial feel as if they belonged to a giant dragon and not a 16-year-old boy. Amon took his lower clothing off and got in the shower to get the rest of the cocoon off. After a long, thorough shower Amon finally felt clean again. He saw that he''d grown a few inches putting his height up to 7"2 making him even more giant than before. Amon stroked the horn on his forehead. It was looking more and more like a piece of divine metal everytime he broke through a Gate. His instincts kept telling him that a Demon''s horn is his pride, so Amon made sure to look after it and make sure it doesn''t get dirty. Sort of like a person who looks after their nails to stop them from chipping and being dirty. Amon looked at the electrical calendar in his room and was shocked to know that he''d been unconscious for about a day. ''A full day?! The changes must have been pretty big then...'' Amon clenched his fist, feeling the supreme power coursing through his body. But even more than that, he felt the energy coursing through his body as well, like he could run a few marathons as a warm-up exercise. Amon knew he had to get used to the changes in his body before the joint training, so he put some training shorts on and jumped out his window and ran to the training course. He jumped out his window because he didn''t want to explain to the others why he''d been locked up in his room for a day; he was simply being lazy. When Amon arrived at the training ground, he walked up to the dummy and started practicing the training stance for the Behemoth Art. Every movement of Amon''s made the ground shake as if in fear of his power, each punch caused the air to blow about as if it was anxious Amon would destroy it. All of Amon''s blow was full of power and looked incredibly vigorous. ''I can do better now...'' Amon''s attack speed was increasing, getting faster and faster and more deadly as time went by. Not only did the speed increase, but the power in each blow also increased dramatically as well. If anyone who was well-versed in martial arts saw him, they wouldn''t be scared of his power or his speed but the fact that every one of his blows was a killing blow. Each punch, kick, and tail whip was aimed at a place where it would easily kill a human. His precision and efficiency were extremely terrifying. After a few hours of training, Amon had a decent read on his current limits and power. Amon sat down on the floor and closed his eyes, he was about to meditate on how to add his Gravity and Density Control to his fighting style. He had a rough idea on how to do it; Make himself heavier and denser so he can''t be moved, much like a true Behemoth. But he wanted more versatility because as much as he hated to admit it, not everything can be solved with Brute Strength. After thinking for a while, Amon had an idea. He wanted to hit himself for being so stupid but he soon shrugged it off as he put his head down to get on with his idea.Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. He stood up and got into a sprinting starting position before he ran as fast as he could towards the other end of the training ground. He shot off with a small boom and each of his steps afterward caused the ground to crack and shake. He was quite quick and graceful despite his imposing stature but he was still much slower than Michael; not that Amon cared, he knew he wouldn''t be as quick as that guy. Amon ran to the other side in no time. His explosive speed was only second to Michael, so he didn''t need to worry about that. It was his agility he was worried about. He couldn''t turn very quickly because of his momentum due to his big stature and heavyweight. But Amon had a counter to this. Amon did the run again but this time he used his Gravity Magic. But instead of making himself heavier, he made himself lighter and made a gravity ball in front of him to pull him along. So this time when he shot off, while there was the initial boom of his strength cracking the stone at his feet there were no consecutive cracks caused by his feet after that. Mainly because he was much lighter, the same amount of strength pushed him off the ground much further. So Amon was noticeably faster than before and when he went to turn, he just summoned a gravity ball on that side so it would pull him in that direction, making it easier for him to direct his momentum that way. He stopped running about the place and made a mental note to continue improving on that form. He sat down by the dummy again and took the Behemoth Art out, Amon wanted to see the Stances after the training stance because he wanted to train them in the joint training. He smiled when he thought about the arrogant classers he would crush with his Martial Art. Opening the book and skipping past the pages on the training stance, Amon saw two pages with each of the next forms and stances on them. The two forms were called [Blood] and [Iron]. [Blood] was a form that focused on swiftness, it was made to cover for the Behemoth''s slow speed. Amon felt that this was too much of a coincidence. Hadn''t he just figured out a way to overcome his bad agility? If he could mix both of the stance and his Gravity Movement together, wouldn''t it be a massive improvement to his movement ability? The [Iron] Form was made to further enhance the advantages all Elite Behemoth Warriors had; Incredibly Durability and Immense Brute Strength. Amon envisioned what would happen if he mixed his incredibly dense and heavy form with this stance, wouldn''t he be some kind of unstoppable juggernaut? After reading through the pages, Amon discovered that these forms and their stances were made to temper the body to overcome its limits and weaknesses. But all the same, they could be used in combat as well. Amon did a few practice runs in both the forms and felt like his body was about to fall apart from the pain of the stances pushing his body to its limits. After sitting and using his immense recovery ability to recover from the fatigue, Amon walked back to the house figuring that he didn''t have any more time to train and should rest for the rest of the day and the next one so he was in his most optimal condition. He''d already become much more powerful with his breakthrough in his Demonic Cultivation and with his new access to the new forms of the Behemoth Art. Amon walked back to the house with a rare smile on his face. 1 day later, POV Change - Jax Congratulations! You''ve leveled up to lv21! Jax collapsed to the floor from exhaustion. He''d just broke through to a higher level bracket and it took a lot of energy from him but in return, he felt his body get much stronger, his technique more polished and his mana reserves more robust. "Well done Jax, as I thought, you heroes really are something else." The old wizened teacher from before, Mr. Karl, had been watching over Jax''s fight with pleased eyes. The old man had a lot of faith in Jax''s ability to shine brightly in the joint training program. "Sir, what...what is the translation of my power into the stages that Bloodline Warriors use?" Jax''s question surprised the man because he thought the boy was completely exhausted but after a while, he answered with a smile. "Well, Jax, it''s quite simple actually. You, as a Hero Classer, could compare to an S rank Bloodline Warrior, in strength, in the same stage but with your technique and skills you''d be able to go up against an SS rank Bloodline Warrior in the same stage as you." the wizened man took a few breaths of the fresh air before he carried on "Levels 0-10 aren''t even in a Stage yet. But Levels 11-20 are equivalent to Stage 1, 21-30 are equivalent to Stage 2, etc etc. If you were to categorize like the Bloodline Warriors, you''d be slightly under SS rank Bloodline Warriors but never mind that. It''s simply the ranking system of simple-minded beasts." The old man waved his hand as if dismissing the thought that a Bloodline Warrior could be better than his Students. Jax looked slightly uncomfortable at how Karl spoke about Bloodline Warriors; his best friend was a Bloodline Warrior. But Karl who saw this shrugged it off as Jax still feeling tired from his level breakthrough and fight. Jax slowly stood up, using his spear as an impromptu walking stick and started walking with the Old man back to the academy. They had a big day tomorrow. Chapter 18 - Prelude to the Reunion Amon his eyes with an annoyed look on his face as he heard the incessant banging on his door. "I''M UP!" Was all that came out of his mouth in a mixture of a shout and a roar. The person knocking on the door seemed quite skittish and ran off after his shout. Lying on his bed, taken away from his dreams of world domination, Amon rolled around on his bed mumbling about killing whoever woke him up as he felt an immense amount of annoyance to being woke up. Amon let out a sigh as he remembered what they had to do today and then got up and walked to his ensuite to wash himself up. After brushing his teeth and accidentally breaking 3 toothbrushes because of his yet to simmer annoyance, Amon walked out to his room to put some suitable apparel on. Amon settled on a black tank top, black combat pants and black combat boots. He looked like a giant soldier and that''s what he was going for because other than meeting Jax, Molly, and his Mom again, Amon had to thoroughly crush the opposing classers. Mainly for one reason; he wanted to prove he was better than them. Amon thought about some of the information he''d gained since yesterday. Yesterday during his rest, Amon decided to ask Sasha some question about what Stage he was in. To his surprise, he was in Stage 2 but after looking at his information on the [Eight Demonic Gates Breathing Technique] he found out how to know what Stage he was on. Every 2 Gates was equivalent to a Stage and he, who''d opened 4 Gates was now in Stage 2. But he was an anomaly in Stage 2, mainly because he could probably crush a Stage 3 opponent because of the add-on abilities his Gates give him. Such as making his body more and more tyrannically perverse in pure, brute strength. He wondered what Stage Equivalent Jax was at. He was hoping he could give him a good fight as a reunion present or something. Amon felt his hunger growing, so he walked downstairs. When downstairs he looked around and saw everyone in their own take on what was acceptable clothing for today''s joint training. Michael wore the same thing as Amon but white instead of black, so he looked like the member of some boy band. Julia wore a yellow summer dress, with some purple shoes on, like she was going on a picnic, not a training program which caused Amon to look at her like she was an idiot. Fae was wearing a white crop top and some jean hot pants, showcasing her considerable ''assets''. Amon stared at her for a while, something telling him her choices in clothing were perfect. Finally, his gaze landed on Lilith, who was glaring at him because of his lingering eyes on Fae. Amon beamed a smile at her, which soon pacified her, and her choice of clothing; they were exactly the same as his. But unlike he, who looked like a killer, she looked like a really cute and beautiful girl cosplaying as a soldier. Amon''s eyes seemed to sparkle as he looked at her before he walked over to her and patted her on the head, causing her to jolt in shock before she closed her eyes and enjoyed it. Amon couldn''t help but compare Lilith to a kitten at this moment. "Alright, you guys, eat up now! Because we need to leave as soon as possible!" Sasha came in holding massive plates of food and put them down on the coffee table. The hungry Amon was drawn away from Lilith to the food, much to Lilith''s chagrin. After eating a whole plate to himself, Amon stopped and stood up from the sofa before doing some light stretches. "So, are we heading out now, Sasha?" Amon looked at Sasha who was impatiently tapping her foot. "Yeah, we could''ve gone 5 minutes ago if you weren''t such a bloody glutton..." Sasha sighed before motioning for the others to follow her as she walked out of the door. Amon shrugged and followed her towards the bus they''d be taking to the Joint Training. If you were wondering why they needed to take a whole bus just for 6 people it''s because Amon''s size made fitting him in a normal car quite a hassle for himself and those around him. Sitting on the bus, Amon closed his eyes and tried to catch up on some sleep before the joint training. Amon didn''t get much sleep because of Michael and Fae bantering around on the bus but he did get a massive amount of rest which was better than nothing.Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere. Before he knew it, Amon and the others on the bus arrived at the meet-up point for the training. It was pretty much the edge of a very big forest which looked like a rain forest in the size, width, and density of trees but it weirdly didn''t feel like a rainforest. The air wasn''t hot and humid and nor was there plenty of bugs crawling around. As they all stood there and marveled at the massive majesty of the forest, Sasha started speaking. "Welcome to the largest awakened Forest in the world. And like all of the largest things it can be incredibly deadly, so be careful around here, there are quite a few dangerous beasts in there." She started off all jokey in tone but she soon turned serious, eliciting a nod from everyone. As all 5 of the students looked at the forest, they felt that Sasha didn''t need to warn them because their instincts were already going absolutely wild. While they were waiting around, Michael and Julia had to talk Amon out of charging into the forest because a giant cat "glanced at him in disdain" as he so put it. They also saw the Giant Cat when it appeared but all it did was look at Amon and ''meow'' at him. So if it weren''t for its razor-sharp teeth and claws, it could even be said to be a little cute. Amon settled down after Sasha smacked him over the head and called him an idiot. But what the others didn''t know was that when Sasha wasn''t looking, Amon would pick up a rock and use his gravity and density magic on it before throwing it in the direction he knew the Cat was staring at him from. A few of his attempts caused yelps to ring throughout the area followed by Amon trying to act innocent when Sasha glared at him. After a while of these kinds of shenanigans, all of them heard a bus coming from further down the road. Amon and Lilith''s eyes lit up like a kid''s on Christmas as they looked at the bus that was getting bigger and bigger in their eyes; their childhood friends were on that bus. Sasha got all of their attention and made them line up in wait for their co-students to fully arrive. POV Change - Mia Rossi Mia sat on the front seat of the bus, messing around with her dagger and occasionally swiping her caramel brown hair behind her ear or somewhere out of her eyes. Deep in her slightly indifferent eyes, excitement bubbled upward threatening to spew out of her eyes. She was looking forward to this joint training trip as her best friend Fae was apart of the SS training group and Mia hadn''t seen her since she was inducted into the Hero Course. As Mia looked at her dagger, she saw a flawless metal dagger which shone with a crimson light. Looking at the dagger, Mia was reminded of her class [Queen of Daggers]. It gave her many abilities but the main part was that it let her summon, de-summon and control daggers however she liked as long as she followed a few rules. The dagger in her hand disappeared only to replaced with 3 smaller versions which floated round in circles above Mia''s hand. It was quite a versatile class which was perfect as she could make so many skills with the versatility given to her. Looking out the front of the bus, Mia could see 5 people lined up and a single person in front of them. The person in front of them had long blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes, along with two ivory white horns on her forehead. She was incredibly beautiful with a seductive feel about her, her body was incredibly toned and had curves in all the right places. But that wasn''t the most glaring thing about her because she was taller than most men, seeming like a female half-giant. Behind her was a pretty boy with white hair, although he was a bit short he still seemed strong and reliable while giving off an aura of pride and purity. Next to him was a beauty with purple hair, she gave off an aura of dignity and nobility. Mia saw her best friend Fae next to the girl and the excitement that was bubbling in her eyes completely exploded outward. Despite her excitement, Mia kept looking at the others in the line. Next in the line was a small and petite girl with tan skin, blonde hair and green eyes. Despite seeming quite timid, she gave off quite a seductive air but it seemed like some sort of trap to those who really looked into it. As Mia was about to look at the person next to the timid girl, she heard Jax and Molly the strongest in the class both yelled in excitement which rivaled her own. "Amon! Lilith!" Both of them got up and rushed to the front of the bus with unnatural grace and speed as they looked at the timid girl and the guy next to her, they were quickly followed by a teary-eyed Beth. Mia turned her attention to the guy next to her and was shocked by his appearance. His hair was as black as the darkest night and his skin was like bronze metal sheets perfectly grafted together to form an unblemished metal statue. His blood red eyes shone with pride and barely hidden arrogance. His face could only be called devilishly handsome and the confident smirk on his face only added to his perfect image. The aura he seemed to give off was just like the feeling his eyes gave off; prideful and arrogant with a bit of an imperious feel about it. The black tank top he was wearing showcased his perfect and strong-looking upper body. But the most glaring thing about him was similar to the blonde woman at the front; he was freakishly tall and had a single horn popping out of the middle of his forehead and curving upward toward the sky. Mia guessed that he must''ve been above 7ft making him look extremely imposing and his black horn only served to make him even more so while also giving him a majestic feel. In all of Mia''s 16 years of life, she''d never had her heart skip a beat, well, until now anyway. And with that increase in heart rate, Mia knew that she, the [Queen of Daggers], had found herself a King. Chapter 19 - Reunion With his enhanced sense of sight, Amon could see Jax, Molly and his Mom trying to cram themselves to the front of the bus seeming to disturb the brown-haired beauty sitting at the front of the bus who was intently staring at him. Amon squinted his eyes at her, taking her interest as a challenge to battle. A low, terrifying growl escaped his throat seeming to put those around him on edge. Lilith looked where Amon was looking and a sharp glint went through her eyes as killing intent rose up from a place she didn''t know she had. She felt the anger blaze through her, but unlike Amon''s anger which burned like an inferno, this anger was cold and calculating and felt like ice running through her veins. Amon felt Lilith''s anger and killing intent but misunderstood her reasons thinking it was the same as his; that she thought the brown-haired beauty wanted to fight them. Before long, the bus stopped in front of them. It was extremely close to them like the driver had nearly forgotten to put his foot on the break. Nonetheless, none of the 6 of them flinched in the slightest and Amon along with Michael even laughed at their silly attempts to get a reaction from them. Amon could see Jax, Molly and Beth''s unhappiness at the driver and their teacher''s attempt at scaring Amon and the others and he felt warmth in his heart; it was good that they hadn''t been infected by the Classers arrogance and disdain for Bloodline Warriors. The teacher dejectedly led the class of off the bus and led them to line up in front of the Amon and the others. Jax and Amon made eye contact and immediately broke out in beam-like smiles. Amon showcasing his sharp and long canines and Jax showing why he was regarded as a pretty boy among pretty boys. Both of them; A slender boy wearing black and white training equipment looking like the perfect bastion for Humans from everywhere around the world, and a giant, muscular boy who gave off the imposing air of a Demon King and looked incredibly inhuman. They both painted a picture, one where they should both be on opposing sides but their warm smiles showed their brother-like bond. Both Sasha and the Classers'' teacher looked at this exchange with pity in their eyes. Well, Sasha did anyway, the old man looked at it with disappointment. "Okay, let''s get going and walking to a place where we can camp for the next few days." Sasha and the old man both said something similar to their groups and they started walking into the forest. Both of the groups were mixed by this point but the teachers forbid any interaction until they were safe and at their campsite. This caused Amon to nearly rage about but he calmed himself, knowing he''d soon be able to catch up to the others soon. He really couldn''t wait and he felt that Lilith was like him as well. He looked over to Jax, Molly, and his Mom and felt they were feeling the same thing as him. After walking through the forest and Sasha and the Old man both dealing with a few monsters that appeared, the entire group made it to a lake. Around the lake, there were a few cabins which Amon figured were the places they were going to be staying in. Sasha pulled Amon and the others over and spoke to them. "Okay, you can go and mingle with the Classers now, try not to start any fights--" Sasha glared straight at Amon while saying this before carrying on "--you can go for a swim in the Lake if you want, it''s been cleared of all Monsters, so go wild." After saying this she walked off to a cabin. About this time, Jax and the other Classers had finished with their teacher as well, so Amon walked straight up to Jax and Jax walked to him as well, both of them with wide and full smiles on their faces''. "It''s good to see you again, bro!" Amon bear hugged Jax, lifting him into the air because of the height difference between the two. "Haha! I''ve missed you too, big guy!" Jax hugged Amon back as well, his emotions in turmoil after remembering the blackmail involving Amon and how worried he''d been about his best friend. When they separated, Jax wiped his eyes a little bit saying something along the lines of "How''d this dust get in my eyes?". Amon only smiled at this, if it wasn''t for his stupid Demon and Draconic pride stopping him, he''d probably have joined Jax in shedding a tear or two.Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings. But something happened which went above what his pride could stop. "Amon!" a slight yell which sounded like a mixture of sadness, worry and overwhelming happiness sounded out as Amon felt a figure tackle into him. Looking down, Amon smiled and hugged his assailant. He saw his mom trembling as she gripped his shirt like he was going to disappear if she let go. Hearing his mom crying, Amon hugged her tighter, his so-called Demonic and Draconic pride nowhere to be seen as tear droplets fell from his eyes. Before this moment he didn''t realize how much he''d missed his mom but now it was all flooding out of him. His body was still and it wasn''t shaking but his hearts were aching over the emotions he was feeling. "Mom..." Amon''s voice sounded slightly hoarse as he called out to his mom. A mature but beautiful bronze skinned face looked up at him. The blue eyes surrounded by slightly red sclera and tears, which made Amon''s hearts ache even further. ''How worried must she have been? How sad? How angry at not being able to meet her son?... This was their fault! They separated us! How dare they...!'' Emotions flowed around Amon''s head, threatening to break out and rage against everything but when he looked at his mom''s dark blue eyes, he didn''t dare let himself do something like that in front of her again. Deep down, he''d always regretted killing those Orcs in front of his mom. Not the act of actually killing but the act of doing it in front of his mom unsettled him and he''d only just realized that fully, so at this moment, he promised himself he wouldn''t do something like that in front of his mom unless absolutely necessary. "Mom, I''ve missed you a lot...!" Amon''s voice was filled with immense happiness and his smile showcased that happiness fully by looking incredibly pure and joyful, spread so wide it looked like it hurt but no matter how much it hurt, Amon couldn''t stop smiling because of the joy bubbling up from inside him. Most people think Demons are evil because they kill and destroy things wherever they go but that wasn''t because they were inherently evil but purely because they felt emotions much more strongly then Humans and other species. This led to a Demon destroying and killing when angered and as many people know, it doesn''t take a lot to anger a Demon. While they did have a bloodthirsty nature, it was a bigger influence depending on the emotions they felt at the time. If they were happy, they would actually avoid conflict but if they were angry they''d actively go out of their way to find it. If you angered a Demon, it would chase you to the ends of the Earth to destroy you but if you made a Demon feel love for you, it would stand up against the whole world if necessary just to protect you from harm and it wouldn''t care about anything that happened to it, as long as the person they loved was safe. It was the reason Demon Empires were so dangerous in the hands of a good emperor/empress who could make their people love them. And right now, Amon was feeling this Demonic Trait of his to it''s fullest. So much so that he''d taken his resolve to get stronger to a whole new level. It felt like he''d broken a dam inside himself, so many emotions were flowing into him that it started to hurt his head a little. Amon''s mom, Beth started crying even more intensely after hearing what Amon had said. Amon, however, was figuring out a way to calm his emotions. He quickly figured out a way and started employing it to calm them down a bit. The thing he was using was the Slayer Arts and the mantra supplied by it. Slowly but surely as he recited the mantra in his head, his emotions stopped fluctuating too wildly and his head didn''t feel like it would explode from the massive dump of emotions. After hugging and comforting his mom for a bit longer, Amon looked around and saw Lilith and Molly hugging with tears in their eyes like him and his mom. Jax was speaking to two other people who Amon didn''t know. One of them was a tall guy, not Amon or Sasha level but he was about 6''2" or 6''3", he had green hair that Amon couldn''t tell whether it was dyed or not and light brown eyes. The other person was a girl with red hair and blue eyes, she was wearing something that looked like a nun outfit. Michael was off trying to talk to the prettier girls among the classers and Julia was following him around and dragging him away once he went too far with his pick-up game. Fae was hugging and talking to the brown-haired girl that was looking at Amon with interest earlier. Amon saw her maroon red eyes occasionally sneak glances at him, Fae also caught on to her, presumably, friend''s glances. But she didn''t do anything and Amon could''ve sworn she was urging her friend on to do something but nothing happened to Amon''s happiness. All the other Classers were looking at Amon and the others, some with curiosity, some with neutrality and others with undisguised hostility. Amon only smiled at their stares, not caring about it because he was happy enough after his reunion with his friends and mother to ignore them. That was until an orange haired and yellow-eyed boy walked out of the crowd and spoke to Amon. "Oi! Why''re you hugging Beth and acting so friendly with the others?" His voice was quite smooth and seemed like the kind of calming and nice-sounding voice a voice actor would need. But all Amon heard was the voice of an annoyance when the voice reached his ears. Jax, Molly, and Beth looked stunned for a minute before hurriedly trying to explain what was happening; they realized they hadn''t told any of the other classers about Amon because the topic never came up. Amon sighed as he turned to face the orange-haired youth. Chapter 20 - The First Clash Amon''s red eyes blazed as he looked at the orange-haired youth. "What''s it matter to you, huh? She''s my mom, you dense prick..." saying this, Amon went to turn back around to his mom. He didn''t want to start a fight that would ruin the happiness he felt at the minute. But, as he expected he felt something fly at him. Amon leaned to the side and looked at what had been thrown at him. Nothing had been thrown in fact, instead, it was the orange-haired youth thrusting at him with a sword. "You think you''re allowed to talk to me like that, you savage? Hmph!" was all he said when he was close to Amon. All he got in reply was a wheel kick aimed at his neck. The kick came at him with blistering speed and a tyrannical momentum that seemed like it couldn''t be stopped. Luckily, or unluckily depending on which side you were on, he seemed to have 2 swords and put them in front of him to block the attack. With a massive boom and a force that cracked the ground around them, the orange-haired guy spat out a bit of blood from the injuries he just suffered as he was pushed into the ground slightly. "Going up against me in a contest of strength? Ha! You should''ve tried to dodge, it''d have been much easier for you." The mirth in Amon''s voice made it seem like he was playing a game, not having a fight. Amon put some more force into his leg and kicked the guy backward. Amon started circulating his Magic Power and felt his body getting stronger as he walked toward the orange-haired guy. He''d found out that circulating magic power in the way he usually cultivated seemed to temporarily augment his power in battle and while he couldn''t do it forever, he could do it enough to beat the shit out of this guy. A terrifying aura soon spread with Amon at the center, black and red mist revolving around him. "Come on, give me a real fight, will ya?" Amon''s voice was getting slightly manic at the thought of battle and his turbulent emotions from earlier were clouding his judgment slightly. The man opposite Amon paled in fear as he saw Amon walking towards his, covered in a mist like something out of a horror story. He''d felt the power this monster had when he came into contact with what looked like a casual kick from it and now that it was getting serious, he knew he was in trouble. "Amon, calm down, it''s not much of a big deal is it?" a calm but loving voice sounded out causing Amon to freeze in place. His mom walked up to him and with her slightly unusual height for a woman at 6''2", placed her hand on his face. The mist disappeared nearly instantly, receding back into Amon''s body. His manic smile disappeared replaced by an apologetic one. "I...I''m sorry, mom, I just got a bit angry over what he said is all. Thanks for pulling me back." Amon''s voice sounded nothing how it did before. Everyone watching couldn''t help but compare him to the manic giant from before and feel flabbergasted. His voice was gentle and affectionate and his eyes were full of relief. Lilith looked at Beth with sparkling eyes like she''d found her very own idol, while the orange-haired man looked thankfully at Beth only to receive a glare with a coldness that made hell look like paradise. Beth looked at her son with a kind of boundless love all mothers have for their child and nodded as if accepting his apology. "It''s okay, sweetie, just try to keep your anger in check, okay?" her voice was filled with an expectation which Amon didn''t want to disappoint so he nodded with a smile on his face. Michael and the others who''d been living with him for a few days looked at him and guessed that even if he was some kind of Demon Overlord, he loved his mother just like everyone else loves theirs. The same went for everyone else looking, but the classers also made a mental note to never hurt his mother whether it be in training or on accident. The last thing they wanted was to enrage a monster like that. Beth, Jax, Molly, and Lilith walked off with Michael, Julia, Fae and her friend in tow, toward the cabins so they could change and then go in the lake for a bit. The other classers soon followed, leaving Amon and the orange-haired man behind. The man looked at Amon and walked up to him nervously. As he was about to say something, Amon interrupted him. "I don''t care if you''re sorry. Just know that if it wasn''t because of my mom and my friends being here--" Amon''s Cheshire cat smile filled with manic intent from before came back as he leaned over the man "--I would''ve ripped you apart and crushed you like the bug you are."This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. The man was stunned as he looked up at Amon, fully realizing the size difference now. The man was only 184cm tall or 6ft and when he was in front of Amon''s massive 225cm or 7''3" stature he looked a bit like a preteen in front of an adult. Seeing the fear on the man''s face, Amon chuckled and walked past the man toward the cabin with Sasha in it. Entering he saw Michael in some white swimming trunks, showing off his slender, but a muscular upper body. "...Why do you only ever wear white, Michael?" Amon seemed to realize that he''d never seen Michael wear anything other than white shirts and jeans. Even his sweatpants were white. Hearing Amon''s question, Michael laughed. "Ah, it''s my Angel Instincts. Wearing anything with color makes me feel dirty for some reason and whenever I wear white I feel pure. Not that disadvantageous, just annoying." Michael smiled as he explained before a curious expression appeared on his face. "What kind of swimming shorts did you bring, Amon?" he obviously wanted to see if Amon suffered from the same thing as him, seeing as he was technically his counterpart as a Demon. Amon rolled his eyes and motioned for him to follow him. When they got to the suitcases they''d backed the day before, he opened up the suitcase and showed Michael the clothes he brought. "Woah, there''s so much red and black. Looks like you do have the same problem as me." Michael triumphantly looked at Amon before slapping him on the back, knowing he''d found a comrade in his struggles. Amon wryly shook his head. ''It''s not that big of a deal, is it? I''ve never really thought about it before.'' Shrugging his shoulders, Amon took his swimming shorts and went to a changing room and put them on after taking all his clothes off. Looking in the mirror, he saw himself in dark red shorts and gave a nod in satisfaction; red clothing is perfect. Walking out of the changing room and then the cabin, Amon saw his friends from both the SS training group and his Childhood friends talking, along with his mom joining in. Michael and Jax seemed to be getting along fine as they were the same sort of guys; playboys. And Molly and Beth were introduced to Fae and Julia through Lilith and were chatting happily. Fae seemed to have introduced her friend from the classers as well but she seemed quite cold and quiet, so she only occasionally spoke when Fae forced a question on her to get her involved. When the group saw Amon come out of the cabin, they smiled and waved for him to quickly come over. Fae''s friend had all her attention on Amon''s body as he walked over, and she wasn''t the only girl who looked so intently either, but he didn''t feel embarrassed, in fact, he felt pride. He knew his body would get 100/100 points in many girls hearts for its perfect look, so his arrogant nature made him feel it was only natural to be admired. Fae caught her friend staring at Amon and nudged her forward a little, so she could introduce her. "Amon, this is my friend Mia, please look after her~" Fae''s voice was incredibly playful which earned her a glare from Lilith, who walked up to Amon and stood in front of Mia to get his attention, much to both Fae and Mia''s chagrin. "How do you think I look, Amon? Good?" Lilith looked at Amon with expectant eyes, so Amon checked out her bikini. Her bikini was white, with the upper part being quite plain but showing her surprising big and full breasts were what it did best as the white color contrasted well with her caramel brown skin. The lower part had a short frilly skirt on it, which seemed to increase the charm of her pert and perky butt, despite it hiding most of it. ''Wow, Lilith really is beautiful, huh?'' All in all, Amon felt he''d like anything she wore, so he nodded his head and gave her an answer. "I think you look really beautiful in it." he finished it off with a smile which caused Lilith to furiously blush. Everything was fine until Mia stepped to the side of Lilith, competitiveness clear in her eyes. "What about me? Do I look good?" Mia''s cold voice had a hint of expectation in it which shocked Amon a bit; he thought a girl like her who seemed cold wouldn''t care about this sort of thing. But something in Amon, made him oblige to her request. Amon looked at the swimsuit she was wearing. It looked kinda like the swimsuit Japanese highschoolers use for swimming class, but it was red instead of a dark blue. Also, there was v-neck that went all the way down to just above her belly button, showing off her considerable bust. The one-piece suit didn''t cover her hips either, showing off her smooth and soft white skin and while also showing her nicely sized and well-shaped butt. Amon couldn''t help but think that a revealing swimsuit like this really is good looking on such a beautiful girl like Mia. "Yeah, you look good, it fits you perfectly." he tried amicably smiling at her to get his sincerity across and it seemed to work as she started smiling. She looked triumphantly at Lilith who was now pouting. Amon''s mom saw what this could lead to and finally stepped in. "Now now girls, it''s not a competition. Let''s just go to the lake and have some fun, okay?" Beth''s mature and smooth voice seemed to smooth away any bumps that could possibly happen and both Mia and Lilith nodded in agreement to Beth''s idea. Amon let out a breath of relief, he knew something was about to happen then and he was thankful his mom stepped in to stop it. All of them started walking towards the lake with smiles on their faces. Gonna take a rest~ Hello, it is I, the author here and I bet you guys are getting pretty sick and tired of me by now? I don''t blame you xD (If you wish to skip my cringe below, look for the bold writing where I will apologize about me going for a break) Let me cut to the chase; I''m taking a small break to mess around with a few small stories so I can get some ideas out of my head. The reason for this sudden change is pretty simple. The reason is based around my mental health. I''ve never really been able to keep motivation for anything really and that''s why I''m trying my hardest to keep on with this book but there are constantly ideas that pop into my head which make me want to stop posting for this novel.Reading on this site? This novel is published elsewhere. Support the author by seeking out the original. Honestly, I''m not saying I''m depressed or have any kind of mental illness, because that would be an insult to those who actually suffer from mental illness. What I''m trying to get at is that my mental state is constantly iffy when it comes to happiness, motivation and emotions in general. Right now, as I''m writing this update, I feel pretty shit about everything xD So I need to take a break and flush all the new ideas out of my head before carrying on with this story. All I''m gonna say is, damn, who would''ve thought replaying Doki Doki Literature Club would sadden me this much? xD Luckily I''ve got some mods which I''m gonna install for the game and make everything right~ (Wanna point out that this is my pathetic attempt at a joke xD) Honestly, I''m not good at expressing myself, as you could see above...So I''m just gonna say sorry but I need to take this rest, I don''t know why I''m like this but there''s not much I can do about it. Feel free to complain, I won''t blame you. Thank you for your continued support~ Chapter 21 - Day and Night Before the Training After the small showing off contest Mia and Lilith put on in front of Amon, everyone went to the lake and had some time to relax and play around a little. Realizing what she''d just done, Lilith seemed to withdraw into herself like she wanted to hide from Amon and the others for the slightly slutty actions she''d been doing for the majority of the time she''d been here. Amon tried to speak to her but all he got were murmurs and whispers even his enhanced senses struggled to pick up and make sense of. On the other end of the scale, Mia continued to try to get closer to Amon. He didn''t particularly mind and let her do what she wants, she was her own woman after all. It was just that Amon found her actions a bit shameless and annoying and in the end he had to ask her to just stop. That caught her off guard a bit as most men would love for a beauty like her to flirt with them but she seemed to forget that before Amon was a man, he was a Demon and a Dragon. These 2 races are quite lustful and promiscuous but before all of that, they were things that cared about fighting and battle more so than that. So Amon, while he would enjoy women and sexual things, he knew when to enjoy them. Right now, he was in a joint training program and he knew from the attitudes of the Classers there were going to be fights, later on, so he would rather relax now when he had the chance then to chase after some girl. There was also the added fact that she was also a Classer and he didn''t want to get caught with his guard down if all this flirting was for the sake of getting close enough to him that she could stab him in the heart and kill him. ''For the glory of the Classers, or some shit like that at least.'' Amon grunted as he let himself sink into the surprisingly warm water. Closing his eyes, Amon wondered about his cultivation progress. He''d hit a bottleneck of some kind and while he didn''t have a concrete way of getting past it, he had a gut feeling that if he entered a big enough battle he''d be pushed past his limits and he''d be able to break through. The problem was that this was easier said than done. Amon was quite unmatched among the current people at the training ground, his brute strength, and pure durability made it so he could manhandle most of the people here and even if they got a hit on him he''d be able to shrug it off. Despite these facts, he knew Michael and the other SS class Students could give him a fight and they could even maybe kill him but he needs someone who completely outmatches the current him. He wiped Jax, Molly, Mia and his Mom out of the picture because despite them being around the same strength as Michael and the others, he didn''t quite fancy fighting against friends and family in a death battle and when it came to Mia it was more along the lines of he didn''t know if he could trust her to actually help him. As Amon continued to think about things he deemed "relaxing" everyone around him continued to talk and play around. Before long, a few hours had passed out of nowhere and it was now around lunch time. Amon had long gotten out of the water and was lying on the ground with his arms behind his head and his eyes closed, he even had the barest tell of a calm smile on his face. "Oi, bro, get up. The foods ready." Jax continued to lightly kick Amon in the side until the slumbering giant grumbled and stood up. On the way to the BBQ, Jax looked at his closest friend. Despite Amon''s drastically changed appearance, Jax could still tell this was his brother as he still hated being woken up just as much as he used to when the world was normal. Hearing Jax laugh and looking in his direction, Amon grunted at him asking what he was laughing. The only reply he got was "Nothing, nothing, just remembering stuff~" which confused Amon further, all of his relaxation earlier being voided by his best friend. Amon cracked a small smile as he thought this. ''Nothing''s changed then, has it?'' Around this time, Amon and Jax arrived at the BBQ and were greeted by a massive feast. There were two different BBQ camps, with most of the Classers secluding themselves off from the Bloodline Warriors and the few Classers who seemed to be alright with the Bloodline Warriors. Amon didn''t really care and preferred this anyway, he really just didn''t want to have to eat with people who looked at him with disdain in their eyes despite his early display. Amon shrugged the thoughts out of his head and went over to pick up a few stacks of ribs, a few burgers, and a few hot dogs. So overall, the few things he did pick became a lot of things. Most people who saw it were shocked at the small mountain of food on Amon''s plate but they soon guessed it made sense as you''d probably need a lot of food to run such a big body. Amon walked and sat down next to Lilith who seemed to have a small heart attack because of his presence. Seeing this, Amon guessed that she was still anxious about her actions earlier so he just sat there and ate his food in silence. Time passed quite quickly as Amon ate, lay down and thought about things again and before he knew it, it was dark outside. Looking at the clear skies full of stars, Amon felt that the world had a sort of beauty that needed to be protected. He heard the calm noises of the forest around him but it was occasionally interrupted by a roar of a Beast every now and again causing Amon to scrunch his face together in annoyance. ''And those bastard Beasts don''t seem to respect that beauty. If I, a Demon Lord, adheres to it, what makes them so above it?!'' This was one of Amon''s many reasons to hate the Beasts. They destroyed everything without discrimination and while Amon loved destroying things, he believed that it shouldn''t be as so wantonly done as they do it.Reading on this site? This novel is published elsewhere. Support the author by seeking out the original. Amon got up and shook his head. He walked to the cabin where the others were staying and went to his room. He changed out of the swimming wear he''d had on all day and put some boxers on before getting into bed and attempting to sleep. But much to Amon''s chagrin, his enhanced senses were picking up a lot of nervous and heavy breathing outside the door for his room. Growling, a tired Amon stood up and trudged over to his door and swung it open to see who it was. "Wah!" a small yelp of surprise sounded out from the heavy breather, as they fell back onto the floor. Lilith had been wanting to come and apologize to Amon about her earlier actions but when she thought about knocking on his door at night, she couldn''t help but remember some, weird things. So she got nervous and just stood there, forgetting that Amon could probably hear her outside his door anyway. Amon looked down at the person with a wry smile on his face. "Lilith, why were you just standing outside my door? You know you could just knock, right?" his voice seemed quite gentle as he bent down and helped Lilith back up. "I-I-I...I w-wanted to apologize about earlier..." her timid voice kept stuttering as she averted her gaze from Amon but still accepted his help to stand up. Amon didn''t quite understand what she meant. She hadn''t offended him in any way earlier, so why would she need to apologize? Regardless, Amon motioned for her to come into his room and then closed the door. "What did you do? I can''t recall anything." Amon had a pondering expression on as he looked back in his memories. He didn''t quite understand what she''d done because her earlier actions when she was showing off her body and being incredibly lustful seemed normal to his Demon side, so he wasn''t offended nor disgusted by them. In fact, he was impressed with her courage if anything. Lilith and he sat down on his bed as Lilith brought her knees to her chest and put her head on them. "I''m on about earlier...when I was showing off my swimsuit to you...I came to apologize for acting so-so...so slutty." her voice was as quiet as a whisper toward the end of her sentence but Amon heard it all clearly. Silent tears started to fall down Lilith''s face as she thought about how Amon might be disgusted by her actions earlier and wouldn''t want to be near her anymore but to her shock when she looked at Amon he had a gentle smile on his face. Even further shocking was that he reached out his hand and placed it on her head, slowly rubbing and patting it as one would do to a dog or a cat. "Why would you apologize for that, Lilith? I don''t mind it because I understand it''s your instincts making you do actions in a certain way. We both know how my instincts make me; a battle-crazed and muscle-bound idiot." Amon smiled even further, showing a smile with gentleness and affection which seemed misplaced on his devilish face. "Yet, you don''t judge me. Not when I killed those Orcs or when I flip out and hurt people. So why would I judge you for your instincts?" Hearing his words seemed to shock Lilith to her limits as she looked at Amon with disbelief in her eyes. POV Change - Lilith ''Why? Why doesn''t he hate me?'' Was all that would go through Lilith''s head as she looked at the person she loved. She had fully prepared herself for Amon to turn his back to her and go toward other girls and part of her believed that would be better for Amon as that part of her didn''t think she was worthy enough to be with him. But all that preparation had led to her becoming a bit pessimistic about the situation and not factoring in that maybe Amon wouldn''t hate her. So right now she was shocked to the core because she''d convinced herself that she would be hated. ''How do I deserve him?'' Tears were pouring out of her eyes as she looked at the gently smiling boy in front of her. She felt a warm feeling in her heart, something that warmed her entire body and something that seemed to quieten the doubts she had about herself. No, it wasn''t that they quietened down. It was just something about Amon that made the cogs in her body continue to work despite her doubts. It was at this point that something just clicked in Lilith. She realized she had to stay near this man. Despite her Succubus bloodline that might make her seem like she''d be unfaithful, Succubi were actually incredibly faithful when they found a mate and Lilith now understood what that click inside her heart was; it was her finding her mate. Knowing this, Lilith felt no need to hold back and smiled her heart out as tears of joy fell down her face. She threw herself at Amon. POV Change - Amon As soon as Lilith smiled, Amon felt his heart go aflutter. But something shocked him out of his love-struck state. Lilith had thrown herself onto him and in the process pressed her lips against his. ''Eh?'' Was all that went around in Amon''s head as Lilith''s soft lips pressed against his. Before long, Amon got infected by Lilith''s passion and he returned her kiss in full and then some. Amon''s hands started to wander across Lilith''s body, Lilith being like putty in Amon''s hands by now. Lilith lightly moaned as he brushed against her body. She started wiggling a little due to the teasing and this seemed to fuel Amon''s desire to tease her even further. As he continued to mess with her body, he traced his tongue across Lilith''s teeth as if he were knocking on a door. And like when one knocks on a door, the door opens. Just like how Lilith opened her mouth and let Amon inside. Despite his lack of experience, his instincts seemed to be pointing him in the right direction as Lilith kept moaning from both his teasings and him exploring her mouth. After a while of this, their mouths separated and Lilith looked at Amon with her lascivious green eyes. When they went to go back in for a kiss, someone burst into the room. Lilith, like a deer in the headlights, jumped up and away from Amon as she saw who had come in. Amon looked at the person who had a deadpan expression as they realized what they had just walked in on. "O-oh, didn''t quite know you and Lilith had gotten that far, bro. Haha...ha...ha..." The intruder was Jax and he''d come to ask Amon something but instead he''d found something and done something he really wished he hadn''t. An awkward silence pervaded the air which was only broken by Lilith shooting out of the room and Amon trying to stop her. Now it was just Amon and Jax, with Amon glaring at Jax and Jax averting his gaze, whistling and trying to appear innocent. "So, Jax." hearing the calmness of Amon''s voice, frightened Jax a tiny bit but he still managed to put on his trademark smirk and reply in a carefree voice "Yeah?" "What could possibly be that important that you''d burst into my room at night and interrupt me when I''m doing ''stuff''?" Amon slowly got up from his bed, the bedside table he''d used as leverage to get up having a deep hand imprint on it showing his anger and embarrassment despite his calm voice. "Well, about that..." Jax let out a nervous laugh as he saw Amon walking towards him. "I was coming to ask, well, I was gonna ask if you wanted to spar but I guess you won''t be in the mood to do that, so I''ll go now. Bye!" Jax hurriedly said this as he went to leave but a big hand and a vice-like grip stopped him. "Oh, a spar?" Amon''s turned Jax around as a Cheshire cat-like smile spread across his face. "I''d love to have a spar with you right now." Amon''s voice seemed incredibly cruel at the minute and Jax knew he''d made a slight mistake. It also furthered his point about Amon not changing much because he''d always beat up people who made him embarrassed and he guessed he was about to be subjected to that. He wasn''t incredibly happy about that not changing, though. Chapter 22 - Sparring Amon, and a very pale Jax, both walked out of Amon''s room and out of their living quarters. They headed a bit away from the cabin, mainly to avoid bringing too much attention to their spar but also because they each knew they''d need a lot of space. Once they''d found said space, they each stood about 15 feet away from one another. Jax raised his hand and with a flash, a simple silver spear appeared in his hand. Mirroring his actions, Amon clenched his fists and got into a stance before the metal ringlets around his wrists started to expand and sounded out noises of metal bending a warping but despite what one would think, the metal was quick in covering Amon''s arms in his gauntlets. Feeling the familiar cold metal wrapped around his arms, Amon felt like something he was missing had been given back to him; he didn''t feel bare to the world anymore. Perplexed by such feelings, Amon quickly shook his head and cleared his mind before concentrating on the battle ahead of him. He knew it was going to be fun. "So, Jax. Do you wanna make the first move or do I have to?" Amon''s voice had undisguised arrogance practically dripping from it but the blond-haired teen didn''t take any offense to it. Rather he showed his own arrogant expression before he slipped into his own spear stance. ''Crude...but surprisingly sharp,'' Amon felt a tug on his lips which developed into a full-blown crazed grin as he looked at the stance, ''You haven''t disappointed me, Jax!'' chuckling mentally, Amon saw that Jax was gathering power and before he knew it, his friend had dashed off from his starting point with blistering speed. Within seconds he''d appeared in front of Amon and reared back his spear before sending out a blur of a spear strike. It was fast. Michael kind of fast. So fast that it didn''t even make a sound as it split the air, the air just split silently as if scared of the spearhead. ''But,'' Amon grinned, ''Not fast enough~!'' with his gauntleted right hand, he lifted it and slapped against the flat of the spearhead, sending it careening off to the side as it barely scratched Amon''s steel-like ribs. As the spear flew past his body, Amon built up momentum in his legs before torquing his waist with a vicious snap, sending his hammer-like fist toward Jax''s center of mass, or in layman''s terms; his torso. Wide-eyed, Jax hurriedly brought his spear shaft in between the heavy punch and himself. He did it in time but that didn''t mean he was out of danger just yet. As the fist collided with the shaft, the nullification Jax was expecting to happen never did. Instead, Jax found his arms rattling and his bones creaking as he was sent rocketing backward like a sack of potatoes. Even with his feet tearing up the ground, he couldn''t stop himself and when he finally did and looked over at his best friend, he felt the blood drain from his face a little. "That was a nice thrust...but you left yourself way too open, Jax," Amon lifted an armored finger before wagging it from side to side, "Tut tut tut~" his excited grin was now a full-blown smile, showcasing the sharp knife-like teeth that filled his maw. Looking up at Amon''s red eyes, Jax was sure they shone as Amon started to advance toward him. It was at this point that Jax truly came to the realization that he''d barged in at the wrong time and done something no best friend, no, something no fellow man should do to another man; cockblock them when they were getting some action. But as he saw Amon walk toward him, he felt significantly less fear than he was earlier. Instead, excitement filled his blue-eyes. Seeing this excitement, Amon let out a roar of laughter, disregarding the earlier consensus of not attracting any unnecessary sound. At the end of his laughter, Amon crouched and bent over slightly before flexing his thick leg muscles. *BOOM!* With dirt flying from behind him, Amon launched himself at Jax with furious speed. He drew on his Magic Power and created a ball of Gravity in front of him and let it drag him along, turning his already Juggernaut-like momentum into something even more terrifying. While in mid-air, Amon layered his arms, fists, and gauntlets in a layer of his Density magic, making them even more study before falling into the Blood Stance from the Behemoth Martial Art to advance his already unnatural grace and flexibility - he would need these to keep up with Jax''s speed. Jax wasn''t idle and with his enhanced reflexes and senses, he had enough time to prepare a thrust to meet Amon''s charge. He activated a skill which lit his spear up in flames, turning the simple silver spear red from the heat currently traveling through it. Weirdly enough, however, Jax seemed unaffected by this heat. Though it may seem like a lot of time has passed for these things to have happened, in fact, less than a second had passed by. To any lesser warriors/fighters, they would have seen nothing but a blur as these two fighters prepared to meet the other. Soon enough they met with a collision that shattered the ground around them and sent out a shockwave so loud it seemed to spread for hundreds of meters. It was safe to say that it had also woke up the others in the clearing who were sleeping in their cabins. Multiple lights came on and a herd of sleepy but curious students came flooding out of the cabins not too far from the fight.Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings. Currently, the fight had come to a slight stalemate as Amon pushed his arm against the stubborn spearhead. Jax gasped as he felt the titanic strength pushing against him, it took him using a few skills to even stay standing against his beastly friend. "Going up against me in a contest of strength, huh? Bad move, Jax~!" Amon''s cheery but manic voice rang throughout the dust-filled area, dust thrown up in the air from their last collision. After he finished speaking, his Aura flared in a cloud of black and red which covered him like a storm cloud. Jax felt the already incredible strength increasing and pushing him backward, leaving deep tracts through the dirt he was pushing against. Jax couldn''t help but let out a gasp as he disengaged Amon and jumped back using both his superhuman ability and the force of Amon pushing him. When he landed, he looked over at Amon, the dust surrounding him settling back down and showing him in all his battle-crazed glory. Seeing this, Jax shook his head and let out a small laugh, "I guess you''re right; I am physically weaker than you, always have been, probably always will be...but I''ll use something you don''t got, Amon - A brain!" getting into his own excited state, Jax activated a few more of his skills, causing his body to glow and crackle with lightning. Sensing danger to his right, Amon quickly raised his arms in a cross-guard only to feel Jax''s spear collide against him. Surprised but overall excited that he didn''t even see his friend''s coming at him, Amon whipped his leg toward his opponent, causing the air to crackle with the promise of violence. Not to his surprise, however, his kick didn''t hit anything and he ducked his head quickly, a spear strike from behind thrusting at where his neck would have been had he not dodged. While he was near to the ground, Amon tried to sweep Jax''s legs out from under him but all that gained him was a slap to the foot from the flat of Jax''s spear. Feeling aggravated, Amon calmed himself down. ''He''s no doubt using a skill and it can''t last forever...a war of attrition then?'' Amon through this but quickly shook his head, ''No, I can''t do that. It feels...weak. Sure it''d be a win but one that would leave a sour taste in my mouth...So, no, I will not wait him out,'' thinking even deeper, Amon slammed a fist into the ground filled with his inhuman strength and aided by his Gravity Affinity which increased how much his arm weighed. Together it caused a mini-earthquake in their surrounding area. Only in an area of about 10 meters but it was enough. That was because Jax was about to make a spear thrust at Amon. So, he became unsettled and unbalanced as the loose earth around him split apart and sizable fissures started to appear. Unluckily for him, one such fissure appeared under one of his feet and with his balance fully destroyed, Amon went on the attack knowing he''d found the way to counter Jax''s immense speed. A flurry of punches assaulted Jax and hit against his chest. Jax made sure to deflect the ones aimed at his face as they would do far too much damage and from the power he was feeling when he deflected them, he knew they had more than enough strength and technique in them to knock him out. Amon guided Jax around the cracked land, his superior senses allowing him to have a clear and full picture of his surroundings which meant he didn''t fall into any of the cracks large enough to house his wide and long feet. Whenever Jax tried to run, Amon would simply stomp his feet into the ground with the aid of his Gravity Affinity and Jax would stumble just long enough for Amon to continue his sadistic combo. But it seemed Jax was also catching on and his danger sense was improving and allowing him to dodge more and more of Amon''s attacks. ''Tsk! He must have a skill and this fight is practically allowing him to grind it...I''m not some kind of Mob you grind on, you bastard!'' feeling his anger explode, Amon temporarily increased his strength by circulating his Magic Power through the Gates he''d already opened in his body before throwing a punch much faster and stronger than before. However, as if he''d known the attack was coming, Jax prepared a spear thrust which seemed different than the others. With the lightning still crackling around him, he drew back his arm holding the shaft of his spear before muttering some words just loud enough for Amon to hear. "[Spear of the Chosen]..." Jax''s voice seemed to set off some kind of reaction as his spear started to glow with a pure gold light that burnt Amon''s eyes to look at. But despite the hurt in his eyes, Amon pressed forth, slipping into the Iron Stance of the Behemoth Martial Art for its ability to bolster his physical strength and durability because as much as his pride hated to admit it...he felt threatened by the move that Jax was about to use. Dangerously so. Though other than danger it made him feel tremendous excitement. The blood boiling in his veins giving him extra energy and vigor to push his punch''s power even further and make it even faster. Amon''s black gauntlets gave off clouds of black mist, while faint red runes glowed across both them and the black horn on his forehead, while Jax''s spear gave off a holy glow along with his body crackling with golden lightning. One with black hair and red eyes, standing taller than any human and letting out a tyrannical and domineering aura which made him seem like a demon among demons, while the other with blond hair and blue eyes, who looked like any other human albeit a very handsome one and was letting out a holy aura like the last bastion of hope for humanity. This scene was something you read about so many times but it still seems oddly special and unique. This is the battle between the Demon King and the Hero of Humanity. A tale as old as time. But-- "Stop, you idiots!" "STOP!" two booming voices shouted from far away. It was Sasha and Mr. Karl and the two of them were rushing over to stop the fight. They were going to let the fight carry on but they didn''t think they''d be at each other''s throats like this! Jax was using a super skill of some kind while Amon was putting everything he had into a single punch - they should''ve predicted this would happen and cursed themselves for being so stupid as to think a hot-blooded hero and a Demon-Dragon Hyrbid would hold themselves back. Despite the shouting, neither Jax nor Amon let up. In fact, they tried to put even more power into their final attacks, unwilling to be the one who lost the exchange. Finally, the attacks hit. And the shockwaves sent everyone within range of the fight, flying backward. The boom was so loud it sounded like thunder or the crack of a God''s mighty whip. It was followed by silence and then two bangs in opposite directions. Sasha looked in one of the directions and Mr. Karl, the other, before rushing in that direction. Jax and Amon had blown each other away. Chapter 23 - Aftermath and the Start of The Joint Training Cracking a single eye open, Amon could see multiple people surrounding him. Growling, Amon quickly sat up as a burst of pain ran along his arm and chest. Looking down, sure enough, there was a massive cut going across his gauntlets, the force of the blow having thoroughly shook the bones in his arms but the place that didn''t have armor - his chest - had a hole in it and blood was pouring out. Letting out a short laugh, Amon summoned some of his Magic Power and pushed it into the wound. To the surprise of everyone watching, the blood pouring out of his wound soon stopped before the flesh started to wiggle and grow at a rate visible to the naked eye. Standing up, Amon suppressed the feelings of pain from the inside of his body, wondering why that blow seemed to hurt him so much but after some thinking he came to a conclusion,''It was that Holy Aura around his spear...it seems if the Holy Aura of something is strong enough, it hurts my Demon side incredibly so,''letting out a grunt of annoyance and instead looked around. He was surrounded by Classers and Ability Users who had barely veiled fear in their eyes but he ignored them and instead looked over to where he and Jax had fought. ''*Whistle* Damn...we hit each other pretty hard...''just as that thought came into his head, Amon quickly raised his still-armored hand and caught a sword swing mid-air before it touched him. Knowing who the sword owner was, Amon put on a teasing but arrogant smile before playfully speaking, "Now now, Molly, is that any way to treat a friend~?" his jovial sounding voice seemed to frustrate the sword-wielder or Jax''s girlfriend and Amon''s childhood friend, Molly. Her royal blue eyes glared down at Amon before they finally softened into a half-assed glare, "You do know Jax is pretty hurt, right? Us Classers don''t have the Healing Factors you Bloodline Warriors have...Why were you and Jax fighting?" Hearing her question, Amon instantly thought back to Jax walking in on him and Lilith kissing and felt a barely repressible piece of rage flow through him in indignation,''He''s the one who barged in on us, Molly! But I can''t say that can I? It''ll embarrass Lilith and she''ll be annoyed with me...Arghhhh!''letting out a mental roar of annoyance, Amon just shrugged his shoulders at Molly, "We wanted to test each other''s strength out and it seems we went a little too far." Molly''s eyes twitched at the ''little too far'' bit but she suppressed her anger when she saw the underlying worry in Amon''s eyes. Which it was. Amon may seem like he doesn''t care but he was currently using his senses to look for where they''d taken Jax. It seemed Sasha and Mr. Karl had taken him back to his dorm as he could smell their three scents all clumped together there. But while Amon was quite worried for Jax, he didn''t feel sorry for what he did; a fight is a fight and whatever happens, is the fighters own responsibility. Shrugging off his worry, the feeling like an insult to his friend in his demonic opinion, he recalled his Gauntlets before heading to the Cabin, wading through the people surrounding him and looking at him as if he were a beast. Once he got to the Cabin and entered, he saw Michael sleepily looking around, seemingly for him, because as soon as Michael saw him he rushed over to him and went to whisper something. However, before he could, a loud voice boomed from across the room, "AMON! WHY DID YOU START A FIGHT?!" his mother came charging over like a woman possessed and Amon knew he was going to get it. As much as his demonic and draconic instincts screamed for him to retort and refute his mother, he just stood still knowing talking back was never the answer to calming an angry woman. . . . Amon was now sitting on his bed in his cabin. The warmth was there and he couldn''t help but think back to him and Lilith kissing on this bed how many minutes ago; it was quite...distracting. To take his mind away from those thoughts, Amon sat up straight and crossed his legs before setting into Cultivation. Feeling the next gate, the 5th Gate, the Gate of Ascending, Amon could feel that the Gate was surprisingly loose but he figured he''d pushed his Magic Power to the maximum during his ''spar'' with Jax, so it wasn''t completely unfounded that the Gate was weakened by him pushing his limits. Amon thought it best that he strike while the iron is hot, so he started up his breathing and sucked in the surrounding Magic Power, adding it to his own before surrounding the Gate in his brain. Just like the gates in his hearts, Amon had to be careful when opening this gate otherwise he''d turn himself into an idiot if he didn''t outright kill himself. This Gate would allow his brain to work quicker. Despite the Upgrades he''d had previously by his Draconic Energy, his brain still wasn''t living up to its full potential. Opening the Gate wouldn''t turn him into a genius by any means, but it would refine the tools he already had at his disposal and allow him to use them to their maximum effectiveness. His Processing Speed and Learning Ability would improve by leaps and bounds as well.Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings. Delicately grinding away at the Gate, Amon felt a dull pain in his head but pushed through such pain as it was normalcy with any Gate Opening, and just upped the pressure slightly. He knew he wouldn''t be opening the Gate tonight but diligence hadn''t hurt anyone, nor has hard work, so he just got what he could, done, before exiting his Cultivation state and lying down atop his massive bed. Slowly, Amon fell asleep before finally, he was out cold. . . . Opening his eyes, Amon saw a certain blond-haired Hero standing over him with a smirk on his face. When he fully realized who it was, Amon slowly sat up before scowling at him, "Why''re you smiling? Didn''t I beat the shit out of you last night?" his voice was slightly annoyed at seeing Jax''s slightly smug face, at least seeing it this soon after waking up; he was never a morning person. Glancing at his chest, Amon was pleased but not surprised to see that his chest wound from Jax''s final attack had fully healed. Though there was a slight scar there. Something told Amon the Holy Aura was what caused that and that the scar wouldn''t be going away. Not that Amon cared, in fact, the opposite rang true - Amon was glad he had physical evidence for their brawl. It was a map for their fight and a prelude to the fights that would come. Still smiling, Jax slapped Amon on the shoulder, "We''ve been paired together; or more specifically the 5 Hero Classers have been paired with the 5 SS Rankers to do the training," Amon, hearing this, couldn''t help a smile from spreading across his face, the earlier annoyance vanishing as if it was never there. In response to his excitement, Amon quickly stood up and rushed out of his bedroom and toward the bathroom, leaving Jax behind. Amon quickly got undressed and threw himself in the shower which was a bit too small for him. After getting washed and paying extra attention to his horn which was much shinier for some reason, Amon got out, brushed his teeth before using his Magic Power to eject all the water off his skin. Once this was done, Amon put some underwear on and then some shorts before heading back to his room. By the time he got back, Jax was gone, so Amon just got himself dressed. In the end, he wore exactly what he did before and justheadedfor theDining Roomseeing as he was incredibly hungry. "Amon, you''re finally here," turning to his right, Amon saw Sasha looking at him from the Kitchen and carrying a massive platter filled to the brim with food, "Hurry up and eat this so we can set off," she placed the platter down and Amon wasted no time digging in, barely even grunting in thanks for the food. Sasha didn''t mind, however, as she knew how Amon was; a bit rude at times. It was the way he was but he wasn''t maliciously like this, it was just his pride and instincts affecting his actions. Within record time, Amon had shoveled the entire platter of food into his mouth before wiping his mouth clean of grease and bits of food he didn''t manage to devour. Once he did this, he got up and walked over to a slightly anxious-looking Sasha. Seeing her like this, Amon tilted his head to the side but decided to leave it; it wasn''t his business nor did he care all that much. If it was something serious, he was sure he''d be notified soon enough. Both Sasha and Amon walked out of the cabin and into the middle ground between all the Cabins. Waiting for them were Amon''s fellow Bloodline Warriors and Jax, Molly, his mother, and the other two Hero Classers. Mr. Karl was standing next to Jax with his chin in the air and Amon couldn''t help but scoff at the man,''Does he need to try and look so superior? The fact he''s actively trying proves he feels inferior...Idiot,''Amon looked to Jax with pity as this idiot was the one who was teaching him. Weirdly enough, standing on the right side of Mr. Karl, on the opposite end of Jax and the other Heroes, was Mia, the brunette who seemed incredibly interested in Amon. Amon was surprised as he was sure it would only be 5 of the Classers, but now it turned out to be 6? He turned his head to Jax and shot him a questioning look, only for the blond to shrug his shoulders with an ''I don''t know'' expression plastered over his face. Lilith, just like yesterday, continued to glare at Mia but it seemed extra serious now; Amon smiled at her cute actions as their kiss last night must have sparked some possessive streak in Lilith. Mia, however, didn''t pay any attention to the petite tanned-girl glaring at her, and instead absentmindedly looked around the camp while waiting for something. Amon had a bad feeling that struck true because as soon as he entered the range of the others, Mia''s head shot in his direction and her maroon eyes shined with a weird light. Before anything could play out, however, Sasha walked toward Mr. Karl with a frown on her face, "I thought we agreed on you only bringing 5 of your students?" Mr. Karl gave Sasha a curt nod while looking up at the tall woman. His nod seemed to annoy Sasha as she grit her teeth before continuing, "So, why have you brought 6 students?" Amon smirked at the building tension, knowing more fights were prone to happen if the two teachers were at odds with one another. The other Bloodline Warriors had the same thought process as Amon, especially Michael, and they did nothing to placate their teacher. To the chagrin of the others, however, Mia walked over to Sasha and did a sight bow/curtsy before addressing her, "It was my persistent pestering that led to Mr. Karl bringing me. I just wished to train with the best, rather than the other weaklings that came with us. I will cause no problems, so please do not think that would be a problem," with her body still in a curtsy, everyone couldn''t help but realize she gave off a real noble aura, Amon would even go as far as to say a majestic aura. Sasha, hearing Mia could help but sigh before waving her hand at Mia and Mr. Karl in annoyance but otherwise showing them that they could do what they pleased. In the end, Sasha looked at the two of them before scowling, "Whatever, do what you want. But if you prove to be difficult for any reason, I''m knocking you out and dragging you behind us with a rope," she loomed over Mia, glaring down with intimidating eyes, "Got it?" Mia just nodded her head before looking over at Amon and smiling which elicited a hiss from Lilith. Amon sighed, he could already tell this was going to an annoying day. Though he did hold some hope for the training to be fruitful, exciting, or both.
