《War Horizon》 Chapter 1: A Unknown World. Footsteps were heard approaching the doorway, and a figure is seen opening the door and entering the room before shutting the door behind. The figure sat down while taking off his MARPAT camouflage woodland improved load bearing, equipment (ILBE for short) Military backpack onto the ground and begin to move his shoulders up and down to loosen his stiff muscles from carrying heavy equipment all day. My name is Sgt Arthur Brown, and this is my story of the virtual reality video game called war horizon. It has been 5 years since I have been playing this video game and I would like to say in my own opinion that it is the best tactical military war game I have ever experienced in my lifetime. My faction, of course, is the United States of America and the military Division I have chosen was the marine corps, and the reason I have chosen to pick the marine corps is because of its harsh training and gruesome experience in hardcore America, the best of the best and knows the meaning of honor and vigilance. Arthur Brown took off his full modular body armor one by one before laying on his back onto the bed at the side of the bedroom. Even though this is virtual reality, gamers are still able to feel exhausted and tired in the game to make it Immersive. ''I''m sure taking a nap for a few minutes, wouldn''t hurt a fly.'' Arthur Brown closed his eyes and slept on the bed soundly, not before a flash Flickr surrounding Arthur Brown and everything soon went pitch black and the surroundings suddenly appear as though he was outside. ''Mm... why does it feel like I am outside?'' Arthur Brown opens his eyes to see cyan, blue bright, sky and clouds, and the lone soldier soon sat up quickly and noticed his equipment and body armor right by his side as if someone moved his belongings to him after relocating him into a different area. ''Is this some sort of trolling or prank by other gamers? Again.'' The soldier rubbed his eyes and blink a couple of times before realizing that he was sitting in the open field of grass, with mountains and a forest from a far distance ahead. Arthur Brown didn''t understand where he was and what was happening, but soon he got on his feet and dusted off some dirt and grass from his MARPAT, woodland camouflage military uniform. ''By the look of things, I seem to be outside and what a beautiful sight it is.'' The sun was bright and shining down on Arthur Brown, and the fresh wind blowing gently against his face was pleasant, including the smell of fresh grass. ''This is pretty crazy, but right now I need to log out.''The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. "Menu!" Arthur Brown saw the menu pop suddenly in front of him and tried looking for the log off option, but soon realized that it was gone, and wasn''t there at all. This trouble, Arthur Brown, and wondered to himself, if this was some sort of glitch. ''Strange, I can''t find the log off option at all in the menu.'' There were other options like vehicles, and also a huge amount of units of soldiers, he can spawn just by selection, and they would be under his command. ''Everything seems to be working well, so I''m still in the game, I suppose, but why do I get the gut feeling that this is not war horizon?'' "Close." The menu and options disappear immediately and soon went over to his equipment and begin to put on the full body suit of the modular tactical vest (MTV for short armor) Which covers almost his whole body, neck, legs and shoulders and arms. The soldier sighs to himself after putting on his camouflage, MARPAT woodland improved load bearing, equipment (ILBE for short) Military backpack on and camouflage MARPAT woodland and enhance combat helmet with night vision attached to it. "Menu." The menu pops up again in front of him as Arthur Brown browser through the weapons section, and soon selected the M27 infantry automatic rifle. It was a well known weapon within the marine corps faction that is a lightweight rifle with a magazine fed 5.56 millimeter. The M27 seems to be inspired by select fire weapons like the heckler and Koch HK416, which eventually replaced the old M16A4 from service. It is basically intended to enhance an automatic rifleman''s maneuverability in the battlefield without being weighed down by its weight. Arthur Brown opens the menu again and searched for some attachments for the M27 rifle. Soon, the soldier lifted his rifle to observe in awe as he smiles to himself in satisfaction. The M27 was fitted with a SU-258/PVQ squad day optic and Harris bi-pod, along with a fore grip and advanced target pointer illuminator, aiming, Light (ATPIAL for short) And adjustable Victor combat applications Sling also attach to the rifle so he can have it hang on his shoulder and a suppressor attached to the muzzle barrel. ''It would be best not to attract any unwelcome guest from the sound of my rifle.'' Alone, the modern soldier begins his journey by entering the nearby forest with his weapon drawn to be cautious of any threats, and the scene soon went upwards to reveal a large kingdom from a far away distance across the end of the forest and a few dragons flying across the skies which passes by the large medieval kingdom. Chapter 2: The Encounter. A long sword quickly slices off an undead zombie arm right off of it. Before the monster could react to this problem, the sword thrust into its forehead with the amount of blood spilling and drooling along the long sword length. The user of such an effective weapon against non-armor infantrymen did a quick pull with their grip on to the Hilt, and soon did a strong right slice to the neck, which sliced off the head, but in return, a large amount of blood begins to squirt out towards the user. The sun begins to shine down on the figure to reveal a full medieval armor-wearing woman with a mail hood on, she had pale skin along with green Hazel eyes. Blood was smudged on her armor, mostly with a few drops of blood dripping down her Chin because of the unexpected amount of blood squirting from the zombie that was eliminated in front of her, another figure pointed their index finger towards a horde of armored monsters that begin to emerge from the tree lines. "Fire!" A large ball of fire shot out of the figures fingertip which the ball of fire quickly collided against the first zombie in the face, and afterward, an explosion suddenly erupted. There was a horde of zombie soldiers laying on the ground, not moving with the few remaining zombies not taken down yet and they begin to get back up slowly, they were clearly angry, even further from losing their comrades, and they begin to shout out a bloody Gargling. The ground was shaking, which led the group of figures, including the armor knight woman and the figure that shot a fireball to regroup, and the total of them was 6. The number of zombie soldiers was increasing at a rapid pace on both of their sides, the group is quickly split into 3 pairs to guard both sides and ready themselves against the horde that slowly approach them. The Female knight noticed a medieval armor zombie that was 7 feet tall with a long sword of its own. It was among the horde of zombies and it noticed her, which reminded the monster of a tragic past in battlefield, it soon roared loudly before walking towards the female knight as the zombie knight drags its own heavy long sword on the ground. She was taken back at the size of her opponent and weapon, but soon ready herself in a combative stance. "Here, they come, guys prepare yourselves!" Not far from the battlefield that was happening nearby was another figure approaching out of the bushes with his rifle drawn, and he begins to scan the area in front of himself before kneeling down and heard an explosion. ''Looks like there''s a fight happening up ahead.'' The Marine soldier releases his magazine from his weapon and checks how many rounds he had left, which was 30 rounds before reloading it with a click sound to indicate that the rifle was fully loaded and ready to fire by the trigger. Arthur Brown''s stood back up again before walking towards the sound of yelling and noise of metal clashing. ''Strange, I don''t remember War horizon, having the sound of metal clashing like that, it reminds me of swords.'' The marine soldier soon arrived without encountering any hostiles around his location, and soon found himself, seeing a group of 6 people fighting against a horde of people, but something was wrong with the people, the group was fighting against, one of them was missing an arm, but didn''t seem to be bothered about that problem, and in its other hand, had a short sword. ''What the heck is this? I don''t ever remember War Horizon, having swords and medieval armor...'' There were zombies coming out of the forest from a distance not too far from the Marine soldier and they didn''t seem to notice him kneeling behind some bushes due to his MARPAT camouflage uniform blending within the trees and bushes. ''Let''s see what''s going on here...'' Arthur Brown pulled down his night vision binoculars that were attached to his front enhance combat helmet, which covers his right eye and he presses a button to turn off the night vision mode. Since it was daylight, the marine soldier noticed a woman in medieval plate armor as he witnesses her Parry with her long sword against a bigger long sword. ''She''s pretty strong and wow, that guy is huge.'' He thought to himself, but soon noticed a group of zombies nearby. It was a squad of Zombie Archers that were readying their crossbows and immediately shot their arrows at the group which was soon deflected by a shield of wind, coming from another figure who opens his hand and said something, but the Marine soldier couldn''t hear exactly what the person said in order to block the arrows. ''It seems like a fantasy world filled with swords and dungeons or something, but for now, I have to keep low and observe the situation further before involving myself into this fight.'' Arthur Brown started to change his location to a better spot to set himself up without being discovered since there were monsters spawning nearby, and he didn''t want to take the risk of being targeted by these strange people that resembles a lot like zombies. Arthur Brown finally located a spot nearby the fight to set himself up between two large bushes before laying down prone on his stomach and setting the Bipod into place on the ground to balance his rifle. ''Remember your training, Arthur, steady breathing and fire...'' A couple of zombie archers were readying their crossbows again before a small, unidentified sound was heard and then one of the Archer zombies fell on its knees due to its left kneecap being blown off before being hit a second time to the side of the head and fell flat on the ground motionless.This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author''s consent. The other zombie archers noticed this and scan around for the attacker, but couldn''t pinpoint its location before another unidentified sound was heard and afterward a small object in great speed that couldn''t be seen by the naked eye penetrated the next zombie Archer into its right eye socket, which causes the zombie to violently fly backward before falling on its back motionless. ''Why aren''t those archers shooting at us?'' The figure who shot the fireball from its fingertip said, in it''s thought before the sun shines on him to reveal that it was a young boy with fair skin and brown hair, along with gray-blue eyes. "Shield!" A large man in medieval armor and a large shield and sword quickly respond to his teammate''s cry of help before shielding a teenage girl who was carrying a sword, she gotten knocked onto the ground by a tough-looking zombie in plate armor. "You okay?" The large man asked before blocking another attack from the undead zombie. "Y-Yeah! Just lost my balance..." She quickly got back up on her feet and took a hold of her Hilt tightly and swung her sword at the tough-looking zombie that was occupied by the shield and the monster realized this and uses its own hand to block the sword, but due to its rotten flesh and bones, it only stopped the sword slightly. "Just go down already!" The girl cried out with another swing and connected to its skull, which causes the zombie head to be cut in half as blood squirted out and the brain is exposed. The knight woman spins around skillfully after parrying another attack from the large, long sword. ''This monster is tougher than expected.'' She thought to herself before switching her sword in a different position and held on to the blade in her hands. "If I can''t cut you down, then just hammer it!" She soon jumps upwards towards the large monster. The zombie Knight tried blocking it but soon realized that it was a distraction. The female Knight uses the crossguard as a hook to pull down its long sword, which works as the monster almost fell forward, and was surprised by the strength of the female knight in armor. She took this chance to spin herself skillfully around again in midair before jamming her cross guard sharp edge into the side of its head. The Large zombie stop for a moment to process what just happened before roaring loudly again in anger as the zombie knight grabbed the woman by the torso and lifted her up in the air easily with just two hands. Due to its size being bigger than an average man, this surprised the female Knight as she did her best to get out of his grip, but couldn''t. The female Knight didn''t expect this sudden event and eventually try to pull her long sword by its blade, but to no avail, because it was stuck deep inside of its skull. Arthur Brown, who was aiming down his sights with his optic, finally finished off the last Archer zombie before taking notice of the female Knight who was in danger and quickly Arthur Brown moved his crosshair at the head of the beast that had a sword stuck to its head. The woman felt the zombie hands crushing her armor slowly by its own raw strength, but a small sound she never heard before startled her as she closes her eyes and opens them again to witness the knight Zombie stop, his movements with blood, starting to drip down its nose and eyes. ''What just happened?'' She thought to herself but took this chance to pull on her long sword one last time out of its head. The female Knight pulls on her weapon from the blade again and finally gotten the cross guard out of the monster''s head and quickly did a strong slice with all her might. After switching the position of her long sword back to holding the Hilt, the sword collided with its rotten flesh of the zombie knight Neck, and the force of the weapon slice through like butter and the zombie Knight hands loosened its grip on the female and fell down on its knees before finally falling down on the ground with a large amount of blood squirting in the air and eventually on the ground, Creating a pool of blood. She sat there breathing heavily after falling down out of the hands of the large zombie with blood almost covering her, but the woman Knight in armor wipes the blood from her eyes and got back up again on her feet and notice the number amount of zombies have decreased greatly, which gave the group the chance to get rid of the rest of the zombies remaining. "That seems to be all of them!" She said out loud to her teammates before kneeling down and using her long sword to support herself from falling forward as the woman Knight slowly gains her strength again. "Are you okay Xander?" A young boy said with robes on before kneeling down to her level to check for any wounds, besides, the obvious damage was clearly her armor. "I am fine Pietro, I won''t die here, but thank you for saving me back there." The young boy was confused by this since he didn''t do anything to help her when he was busy holding the horde back away from the group, suddenly, a zombie with a short sword appears from behind the two and it lifted its short sword to strike them as the other group notice this, but they were too far to reach them in time and stop the zombie. A loud bang sound was heard that startled everyone and caused the birds to fly out of the tree branches, and before the group knew what had happened, the zombie fell backward with a hole penetrated through its forehead. The group turned their attention to a figure from a distance and saw a man holding a tan color object in both his hands, the marine soldier sighs to himself in relief and place his M18 pistol in his holster. "Whew, I made it in time..." Chapter 3: Realization. "Who- Who are you, stranger?" Xander asked an unfamiliar sight she has never seen before. "I am Sergeant Arthur Brown from the United States of America Marine Corps!" Arthur Brown saluted to the group In front of him in a military pose. "Who is this that claims to be this United States of America?" An older grown man among the group said to the others with curiosity. "More importantly, what is this Marine corps you speak of... Arthur Brown was it?" The young boy wearing a robe asked the modern soldier whose name was Pietro while he was helping Xander back on her feet with her arm around his shoulder. "HM? You guys don''t seem to know what it is, don''t you?" Arthur Brown said casually before thinking that these guys are pretty weird not to know about War Horizon that is a well-known game around the world. "No, sir, we do not know what that is but are you perhaps a foreigner?" The boy said with curiosity shown on his face as Xander straightens herself upwards. "You can say that." The soldier responded while scanning his surroundings just in case if any of those monsters would appear again that the group fought against but didn''t see any indication of movement. "Hmm, I am very interested in the weapons you have I might not get it, but I do understand that they''re very dangerous by the looks of it, but very strange because my ability scanning is telling me that it is classified information and it''s only made of metal." The older man strokes his white beard who was also wearing a robe with a few blood smudges on it. "Metal you say?" Another member of the group said curiously as he too approaches the modern soldier and tries to scan himself and got the same result. "You wouldn''t mind if we can touch it?" The two members said at the same time, which made Arthur Brown uncomfortable at how close they were to him as if he was a popular student in high school or something. "I''m sorry, but I cannot do that, the weapon only works with the user due to restrictions created by War Horizon," Arthur explains to the others which weren''t a lie in previous times when he was playing years ago whenever a player drops their rifle it would teleport back in their hands which help a lot during many kinds of situations he was in but that was only in War Horizon. He wasn''t sure if that function still works but didn''t feel like trying at all right now. "War Horizon?" ''It seems that they do not understand what I am talking about neither know about War Horizon... Am I really in virtual reality or reality?'' "Do you know anything about War Horizon Luis?" The large man in plate armor shook his head while carrying his large shield and sword. "No, not from what I heard of." He responded which cause many of the group members to question among themselves who was this stranger and the things he has mentioned to them so casually. "I see that none of you know what War Horizon is but it is a video game! Surely some of you must know?" Arthur Brown said to the group with the feeling of skepticism. "Video Game?" A teenage girl with a sword replied at the words of the stranger and wonder to herself if this man was just crazy or knew something that they didn''t. "A game? What child play are you speaking of?" The older man with the white beard said now that he was feeling annoyed at this point of confusion coming from this strange fellow in front of him. "What is this video he speaks about?" A young man asked who was wearing leather armor. ''Dang, it seems none of them are aware of the technology of War Horizon, perhaps I should keep it to myself before things become more confusing for these people.'' "Anyways, thank you, Arthur Brown, for saving me and Pietro we are in your debt." Xander and Pietro bow themselves before him in a respectable demeanor and the others also bow themselves as well in respect. "I do agree thank you, but if you would excuse us for a moment we have to loot these monsters now." Another female said who had two daggers equipped to her thighs before the group begins to scatter around the field and loot the fallen monsters one by one for crystals. "That loud sound that came from your strange weapon probably alerted a lot of nearby high-level tier monsters," Xander said as she approaches the marine modern soldier and Arthur Brown couldn''t help but admire the beauty of this woman who was able to fight head-on in battle but also had a stunning appearance mainly her face. "She''s right, let''s get out of here as soon as possible!" A grown man said to everyone who was busy taking a crystal from a fallen zombie and it begins to incinerate and eventually vanish out of sight. "But you can loot the ones you took down, Arthur but we must hurry before any high tier monsters appear!" The woman with the daggers said to the soldier before picking up another glowing crystal. "Roger." Arthur Brown responded with a salute in a military pose fashion before walking over to the zombie archers that he eliminated that were attacking the Adventurer''s group. But the United States Marine Corp soldier notices a strange glowing crystal on its chest and wonder to himself what this might be. ''Strange, it''s similar to a roleplaying game whenever you eliminate an enemy and earn rewards for it, which leads me to be wondering if this is really war horizon or something else.''The author''s tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. Arthur Brown opens his menu option and took notice that he has earned a couple of experience points throughout the battle that was taking place previously and level up 2 times. "So this is a game, but at the same time, it isn''t? What''s going on here?" The marine soldier said to himself before picking up the crystal that was laying on top of the chest of a zombie until a new message suddenly popped up in front of him. [You have leveled up to Rank 5!] {Arthur Brown, Marine Corps Infantryman.} [Available units: 0/4.] {Arthur Brown''s status.} [Health: 500/500.] [Armor: 250/250.] [Strength: 5.] [Perception: 8.] [Agility: 7.] [Intelligence: 10.] [Endurance: 5.] ''Interesting... my stats are just like an RPG, role-playing game! But would that mean that I''m not in war horizon anymore, or if this is some sort of glitch that happened? If that is the case, then how come I am still able to use some of the features like the menu screen from War horizon?'' [Would you like to spend 5 points on your attribute?] [Yes/No?] There was a moment of silence, Arthur Brown was making a decision to click yes or no option, but eventually, he decided to click the yes option and noticed that a new menu screen popped up in front of him this time. [Please select an attribute you want to put your points into!] [Strength 5.] 1+ [Perception 8.] 2+ [Agility 7.] 1+ [Intelligence 10.] [Endurance 5.] 1+ [Do you want to confirm your choice?] [Yes/No?] Arthur Brown selected the ''Yes'' option and afterward the menu screen disappear and his whole body started to glow before vanishing. The soldier turns his attention to the group that was busy looting crystals on the defeated zombies and realized that nobody didn''t seem to notice his body glowing for a few seconds. ''Strange that nobody hadn''t noticed that...'' Arthur Brown soon finished looting the zombie archers after leveling up his level stats which made the Marine soldier curious about his situation. He didn''t understand what was happening to himself or if this was just some kind of game he was in or if he wasn''t in a game at all or even both. After some time, the group of adventurers started to gather together and beckon the marine soldier to follow them along their journey. "Follow us lone warrior! We are returning back to the village." Luis said to Arthur Brown, who responded by nodding his head and following the group afterward, and began to think to himself, what was this village they talked about? The village came to view to show a very beautiful big town, almost in the middle of the forest, which reminded the modern soldier of a kids show. Arthur Brown, embarrassing as it was to him, watched after losing a bet with his clan members'' years back from war horizon. "Welcome to The Village! It''s not much, but it sure does bring shine into your heart!" The young boy said with the robe, as he introduces the modern soldier to their town, and looking at Arthur with a smile. "It sure looks nice." The soldier said with a stern expression on his face, but nobody in the group wanted to a question about his look. Arthur Brown always had a Stern expression look on his face, and people always mistake his moods, be gloomy or angry, but he was actually normal since it wanted to make his avatar look tough. The young boy kept glancing at the soldier and wanted to ask him if he was mad or something, but he felt like he wasn''t, so he didn''t bother to tell him about it due to it being rude. Eventually, the group of adventurers, as well as the modern soldier, took a break from their travels to make it to the village, and they sat under a big tree and begin to distribute food to one another. Arthur Brown gladly accepted a sandwich that was given to him, which was consisted of cheese and tomato and lettuce. The group was mostly quiet and it felt nice to enjoy these people''s company while spending time together under a big tree, and after a few hours of talking to one another, enjoying the meal as well as laughing at a joke that Arthur explained about in war horizon, which was about falling mostly on his butt and defeating a mini-boss by accident, but that happened years ago in war horizon. "So, Arthur Brown, what would you do after this?" Pietro asks the modern soldier with a smile on his face, meanwhile, stuffing a sandwich in his mouth, which surprise Arthur a bit before composing himself and answering his question. "I am not quite sure to be honest since I was expecting to fight against multiple people with rocket launchers earlier because of that explosion back there until I realized that it was just your group being attacked by zombies." Arthur Brown, burps, after eating his food and the modern soldier couldn''t help, but wonder to himself in thought, what would he do when they entered the village that wasn''t too far from them, and would he even be able to make any money as well to make a living now that he was in this fantasy world or even return back home? "Since we haven''t introduced ourselves, I am Annie!" Annie was the girl with the daggers. "This here is Luis!" The large guy with the large shield and sword bowed his head respectfully to Arthur in a greeting fashion. "This is Charleston!" The young man with the leather armor and sword nodded to Arthur. "This is Pietro." The young boy smiled and waved at Arthur happily. "This is Xander!" The female knight bows her head respectfully to Arthur. "This old nosy guy is Jason." The old guy with the ropes looked at Annie in disbelief that she said that before protesting. "I am not nosy! I just happen to be around at the same time is all! How rude to claim such preposterous towards an elder!" Jason said before crossing his arms and looking away while making a ''Hmph!'' sound. Annie couldn''t help but snicker at the old guy''s reaction along with the group laughing except for the modern soldier who only smiled in silence. "I do appreciate your hospitality, but I don''t think I will be able to buy food or make any living here in the village without any money." Arthur Brown explains his situation to the group while taking off his MARPAT woodland helmet, and he places it on top of the head of Pietro, who happily accepts it and tries to adjust the helmet to get a better view in front of his eyes. "We can help you with that problem lone warrior," Luis said to Arthur Brown. "You just need to register to the Adventurers Guild and whatever quest you complete, then you will be rewarded handsomely," Annie explains to the modern soldier. "There''s also ranks as well too, so the higher you rank up, the more challenging the quest will be, and also the higher rewards as well!" Pietro adds into the conversation. "That sounds pretty fun and not bad to make an earning for a living." Arthur Brown said before getting up and dusting himself off as Pietro hands over his MARPAT enhance combat helmet to the modern soldier who takes it back from him and places it on his own head again. The group begins their journey again on the valley road leading to the village, and eventually, the place becomes more clear in view, which is breathtaking. "Village, here we come!" Pietro said before running on the dirt road and going ahead of the group. "Not before I get there first!" Annie said with a grin on her face as she begins to run ahead of the young boy, and the two begin to race each other in a competition to see who will make it to the village first. ''This is going to be an interesting journey from here on out.'' Arthur Brown said within his thoughts while looking up at the large gates protecting the big city that seemed to be almost in the middle of a forest. Chapter 4: Quest Accepted. Arthur Brown was taken back at the beauty inside of the big town name, the village. There were many kinds of species of people who were busy with their daily lives. A few people noticed the man with the strange pattern, clothing, color, and armor he was wearing. Most people found it interesting and a few merchants that were passing by being very intrigued by him, and especially his backpack, which was the MARPAT, improved load-bearing equipment (ILBE for short.) That was possibly holding a ton of load with ease on his back, but they didn''t dare to approach the man due to his Stern expression, on his face that made them feel intimidated very easily. "Here we are, the guild we were talking about, you should be able to register pretty easily inside and get everything sorted out before doing any quests for rewards," Xander explains, before the group enters the big guild building that was 5 stories high and surprisingly, the center of this huge town, which made Arthur Brown curious if he will be able to write and read in this world considering their alphabets, could be completely different from his. The modern soldier noticed all sorts and kinds of knights and different classes within the guild talking to one another, even those that were showing off their abilities like making ice and fire appear from their fingertips. He soon found himself standing in front of a reception with a young girl dressed in fine clothing and a bow tie on her collar. "Welcome to the adventurer''s guild! How may we help you today?" The girl said happily to the modern soldier as she tries to not comment about the appearance of his look, but mostly his face that was scaring her deep inside. Arthur Brown remembered what Xander told him about the steps he needed to do in order to register, but he wasn''t quite sure about the whole writing his name fraction. "I would like to register as an adventurer!" The girl was startled by his firm words and begin to stutter. "D-D-Do you have 5 copper coins for that?" Arthur Brown opens a small pouch that Pietro gave him before the group left to do another quest, and he noticed a good amount of money inside and he was curious to himself, which one was a copper. "Just write down your name and also what is your ability and class?"'' Arthur Brown, wasn''t quite sure what his ability was in class and how this fantasy world does things in some ways, but he tries to think of something and begin to write down on the piece of paper, but to his surprise, the ink was glowing on the paper like hue and disappears shortly after when he stopped at writing. ''Whoa! I didn''t know this fantasy world had that!'' The modern soldier afterward finished writing down on the piece of paper and eventually the reception girl took the paper from him after he was finished and began to read it and confirmed it herself, but she stopped herself from walking somewhere in the back when her eyes landed on class and ability and was confused by what he wrote down. "Sir, do you know what Spawn ability, as well as a marine infantryman, means because I don''t understand?" The girl asked Arthur Brown with confusion shown on her face. He was prepared for this just in case if she was curious or confused, and he begins to explain what an infantryman was and also demonstrated the ability spawn by spawning a random item from his menu screen from browsing the food section. "Right now you are Rank Tier 1 and this is Rank tier 2 and the last rank above rank tier 3 and 4 is a Master Rank Tier!" She explains to Arthur Brown while smiling the whole time. "I see and what is the condition for each Rank?" Arthur Brown, ask again to the young girl with curiosity, fully understanding the explanation from the receptionist. "You get to fight against harder enemy bosses and monster higher tier level classes, and if you make it to Master Tier, you even get a chance to get the attention of even kings and queens across the continent!" "There you will be able to find a quest for your rank and be rewarded when you complete the mission, but if you fail, then you do not have to worry about that, because you can always try again." The young girl had fair skin and she smiled at him with delight, and he noticed that she had a blue eye color on the left eye and like gray on the right eye, and he found it pretty adorable. Soon, the modern military soldier saluted at her in a military pose before doing an about-face and walking away towards the pole board, that had dozens of quests stamped on it. "This will come in handy." Arthur Brown said to himself out loud among the crowd and soon realized that people were staring at him. Arthur Brown notices a quest that caught his eyes on the board and approaches it to examine it closely and begin to read it. Arthur Brown took the quest paper right off of the pole board and begin to walk back towards the receptionist, and he places the quest paper on the counter in front of her with a serious look on his face. "I want to take this Quest." The young girl took the paper and begin to read the information about the quest, and soon realized that it was actually a rank tier 3 quest. "B-but sir, this quest is only for Rank tier 3 and higher, and also according to the rules, you must have a party in order to do this mission since it''s very dangerous, and bandits are always in big groups!" Arthur Brown started to think of a way to convince this young girl that he can do this quest, and he begins to remember about his spawn ability. "If I have a group with me, then will I be able to do the quest then?" The young receptionist nodded with seriousness on her face. "Then I will be back." Arthur Brown took this opportunity to leave immediately, while passing by nearby adventurers that were standing around having a conversation with one another, and soon exit the building and notice an alleyway not too far from him, and quickly jogs himself towards that alleyway and checks both sides to secure his position, and didn''t notice anybody following him and watching him. ''Seems like the coast is clear...'' Arthur Brown opens his menu screen and begins to browse through it till he finally found what he was looking for, which were units he can spawn in, and he clicks it with his finger, which opens another menu screen suddenly, and it shows a total of soldiers and classes that he can choose from and information about them. ''Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard...'' Arthur Brown realized that he can select any one of these branches in the United States forces and was taken back by this. "Wait a moment, why am I able to pick a different branch of the United States Armed forces if I''m in the United States Marine corps!?" The modern soldier quiets down and composes himself unless he wanted to become a center of attention from people passing by the alleyway. Arthur Brown thought about what branch he should choose from the menu, and he begins to remember that the Coast Guard was specialized in combat, search and rescue. Sergeant Arthur Brown selected the Coast Guard and noticed that there were a medic, infantry and heavy and engineer, which was sort of similar selection from War Horizon. "I probably should pick some of the classes that should be appropriate for this quest." Arthur Brown said to himself while clicking medic class than two infantrymen''s classes, and afterward a heavy class, a sudden menu screen appears in front of him to confirm his choice, and he clicks yes and something that Arthur Brown never expected to happen happened. 4 figures consisting of 2 females and 2 males, started to generate right before his eyes, and the soldiers soon saluted at Arthur Brown with their Chin up, chest out, shoulders back and stomach in, at attention next to each other in a line. "Coast Guard Ready for Duty!" A 6 foot tall, dark skin male soldier said to Arthur Brown as the group of soldiers was at attention with serious faces and eyes looking straight forward. "We do not know at the moment for sure, but I am informed of the bandits are always in a group." Arthur Brown replies to her and his men. "But for the time being it, lets head back to the Adventurer Guild and start from there." Arthur Brown begins to leave the alleyway along with his unit, following behind him with their M4 rifles strapped over their shoulders. The modern soldiers were surprised by the village and the residents that live in the huge town. People took notice of the modern soldiers that were walking by, and they begin to whisper to one another about the stranger''s clothing and equipment they had, especially their metal black sticks, they were carrying around themselves. Soon the Guild door opens, which caught the attention of all the Guild Adventurer''s inside, and there was silence among the crowd because they were speechless of what they were looking at. In their point of view, there was the modern soldier they saw earlier and a strange group of men and woman, wearing strange dark blue clothing and black armor and equipment as well as carrying a metal black stick, that they have never seen before. The receptionist girl noticed this from the distance and was surprised to see Arthur Brown with other strangers following him in a military fashion she has never seen before. Arthur Brown stops in front of the receptionist, and he smiles at her, which made her feel unsettled for some reason. "I would like to do the quest now." The young girl took out the quest paper she reserved for Arthur Brown just in case if he ever came back with a group, but she didn''t expect him to return so soon, especially with strangers, she has never seen before in the village. "Are they also registered to the guild?" Arthur Brown frowns at this when he realized that he had to pay 5 copper coins to each of his soldiers to register into the adventurer Guild, and in total, it was 20 copper coins. The girl soon gave each Coast Guard soldier a rank, tier-one badge, and ID cards. Many of the guild members that were in the background were whispering to one another about the strangers, with their get up and weird metal sticks and the equipment they had. "All of you guys are rank tier one, but as long as you''re in a group and have some experience, then I''m sure everything will be fine and work out, please be safe." The receptionist girl said to the group of modern soldiers and bows to them in a respectful farewell. Arthur Brown and his unit saluted to the young girl before the group begins to exit the building with the modern soldier leading the way for them. "Let''s show these bandits what the military can do."
