 Memories

    I am Lily Nightingale , at least I am now , I have some , memories , of a strange place where there was different things that I couldn''t understand , metal carriages that move so fast that it can be dizzying to look at , metal birds flying in the sky , all this thing seem pretty strange to me but at the same time it feel like it just seem normal.


    At the moment I am at the Hethia Royal Academy before my fianc¨¦e, the crown prince, wait? A crown prince!? Of course, there''s supposed to be a crown prince, this is a kingdom, but then again maybe the places I saw didn''t have princes and that''s why I panicked, this is going to be irritating, I wonder how many of my original attitude will be lost because of these weird memories.


    anyway, I need to focus. So yeah , my fianc¨¦e , the crown prince , is dumping me , the most sought after beauty titled as the Frozen Flower due to my cold yet kind attitude , (I know that it is presumptuous to flaunt my beauty but no one can really rebut me for I was not even the one who title me as such , besides I don''t care about it so I didn''t do anything to deny it at all , a girl have to fulfill her vanity from time to time after all right?) to an Illegitimate child of a Baron just because of her easy going nature .


    not only am I more beautiful , I also am the daughter of a Duke (which is only second to the king) I also have my mother which is known as a Saintes , which has a huge influence on social gatherings as she has connections to the church''s Pope , and because of that , if she attend''s even a tea party of a small commoners house , they can rise in influence , and lest we forget my Grandfather , one of the four generals of the Harthstone army , he is located at the far north , the harshest of the frontline , but it also gives spectacular fame due to its harsh climate and barbaric inhabitants.

Well of course there is , wait that means that those things weren''t made with magic , then how can they do those things , even the fast magicians is as fast as those carriages , my goodness , I wonder what would have happens when those people actually could use magic , Brrh , just the thought of it sends shivers down my spine


    Oh, right what element do I have, its actually the ice element, I guess the title fits at least, so I guess I''m an ice magus.


    Wait I''m getting distracted, what was I thinking again, oh right this scumbag prince, he is also 2 years older than me and is a lightning magus , he purposely dumped me for Alice Blue drip , she''s not even a magus and she''s also very clumsy , gets lost easily , too kindhearted and easy to manipulate , and that''s why we''re here , people manipulated her to accuse me of my actions that were best interest for her and I know the prince and his aids know it but would just blindly follow her. This is going to get irritating really quick.

 Encounter

    "Lily, enough is enough, you have been bullying Lady Alice and you''re also disturbing me a lot of the time lately and its starting to annoy me, as the crown prince I hate being distracted you know that as well as I do, you keep on nagging me about my manners, I don''t care anymore that my father choose you, were getting divorced, don''t worry I won''t be alone, I already have someone and that someone is Alice!" the prince coldly said to me, well for me it is cold, for Alice it probably is full of love, after his speech I quickly retorted


    "Prince you might be mistaken you do not have the authority to get divorced to me, more so you don''t have the influence to do it also, but I do, and since our wishes is the same then ill agree, but I will be the one announcing that im going to be divorced to you" after that I made a small gesture, to others it may seem insignificant, but since its not for them it doesn''t matter, what matters is that he saw it.


    The person in question is MY attendant, Midnight, he is the only one that I know I can confide my secrets to, he''s been with me from the time of our family''s ceremony, he is my most trusted and only aid, unlike other houses, our house only lets us have one aid, but they were personally trained by our house and are guaranteed to be the best helpers, even the people that weren''t chosen by a family members are being hired by other houses, it just shows how excellent my house is.

    "You dare disrespect me! The crown prince, you shoul- "the prince tried to say something but Midnight cut him off.


    "you are not my liege, and my mistress is right and I know your not that idiotic to not know this,"


    "You insolent fool you dare call me the crown prince as an idiotic person"


    "I wouldn''t have said it if it was false"


    "I won''t take this insult lightly; I challenge you to a duel with me and my aids"


    This stupid prince, doesn''t he remember that Midnight is in the level of an Arch mage, there''s only 10 arch mages in the kingdom! 2 in the employ of the Royal house and the rest are of the mage institute, once the institute releases the news then we will have 11 of them. Alright, another mind-blowing fact, my aid is one of the strongest magi in this kingdom! Alright, now that the shock is gone, I''m going to ask again is this prince brain dead! I know he has some connections and that he will know this piece of information, right?


    "Alright then prince, ill gladly accept your challenge so that you can shut your mouth"

 The Massacre

    Lightning, fire earth and water as such two quick fighters , a tank and a healer with some long range spell knowledge, to others it is a very strong group, some arch mage may even be forced to use their trump cards if they get careless or have some lapse of attention, but of course that rarely happens as they only got at that level because of hardships, so it is purely by luck can they manage to corner an arch mage, and beside.


    Midnight is no ordinary arch mage, he is the type to be the most flexible yet destructive magi, what''s more is that he has a rare element, the element of the shadows, not a lot is known about it and that he himself created his own spells, that''s why he was qualified to be an called an arch mage.


    As it reached the designated time, shadows traveled to through the ground and at the end showing Midnight rising from the shadows, -Shadow step- a spell that lets the user travel through the realms of shadow, with higher control it can go further and even bring other people as well, but he could have done it without the shadows moving since his control is so high that shadows cant keep up with his speed, guess he doesn''t want to frighten them that much,

    Now that its all done. God bless these poor souls, this is going to be a massacre, and as I predicted, it happened.


    When Ceasar ran forward with the prince and my brother at his flanks while Joseph prepared spells, Midnight casually waved his hands (Omae wa mou shinderou) and from his back countless black strands sprouts from the ground (Nani!) , this is where the fun starts, the strands surround each and everyone of them and squeezes them, the poor bastards didn''t even get a breather as they were thrashed around albeit not as violent as it may sound since the people getting trashed do have some background forces serving them.


    The people around were shocked, some doesn''t even know Midnights strength and those that did couldn''t believe that he was able to do it quickly,


    As the jury announce the results, Midnight releases them and walked toward me and asked "IS there anything I may be of service my lady?"


    "Not really, maybe you can help me persuade the principal to release me from the school since I really don''t have anything to learn and that I no longer have connections to it, and it seam I may create new enemies here because of your display, so let''s get going then?"


    As I walked away, I can feel the gazes of my classmates, oh right, former classmates since I''ll be leaving.

 Regret (1)

    Regret, that¡¯s the only thing I can feel right now, Regret at how so impulsive I acted, Just because I was hailed as a genius prodigy by the Royal mages by reaching the 8<sup>th</sup> circle magic that I forgot about others, more specifically , the monsters, and this is where the regret comes, the person in front of me,  Midnight if I remember correctly, is the attendant of Lily, but in the Mages Institute he is also one of the so called monsters,  even going as far as being the monster of monsters, he actually got through the last recorded circle of magic, the 15<sup>th</sup> circle, well, he at least created a spell that can be classified as one so it still technically counts, and because of that he was the 11<sup>th</sup> Arch magus of the kingdom, more specifically, the 9<sup>th</sup> Arch magus of the Mages Institutes , and his ranking isn¡¯t even that low thanks to his versatility, all this information is still classified and isn¡¯t released to the public yet as to let the other kingdoms not feel threatened by this sudden powerhouse emergence but as the crown prince , I naturally knew of this news, anyway , he doesn¡¯t have much battle records but his still and element can be inquired through his titles: the Shadow Prince and the Beast Monarch. So I thought , hey why not challenge this guy to a duel with my aids surely it would work out right, but as others would have guessed it went poorly.If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen.     I was so caught up in my world that I forgot to take in what really happened, I mean the guy literally came out of nowhere and surely I could have at least remembered some important things like the new arch magus and stuff, but nooo, I just had to be dismissive, I didn¡¯t even think that he may have the new black horse of the Mages Institutes,


    So after that little farce I went to ask a servant to call my other aids, while that was happening, August, one of my aids and that Lily''s brother, talked, "Lance you really sure about this"


    Hm he''s probably thinking about the health of Lily''s attendant , well it is his sisters so i gues hes just being a responsible brother"Of course I am , if we dont do this that Midnight will be too arrogant and your sister might be influenced by that aid" "Bu-" August wasnt able to finish his sentence when the door opened and my two other aids were entering , one was Ceasar Camelot, He is the son of the Knight Commander, he is laso an Earth magus making him the perfect for charging through , then we have Carl , he''s the main mage of our group as well as our healer, he''s quite a geek so we sometimes teases him, anyway,


    "alright now that all of you are here lets not beat around the bush, we will fight Midnight!"
