《Mystery Dungeon》 Prologue The Door opens onto the image of a not terribly old mage sitting behind a desk quietly working at some paperwork. To the left of him, sitting in a chair and kicking her legs in boredom was a young Demi-human girl dressed in a sack-cloth tunic and with a metal collar around her neck. The sight of the obvious slave girl reminds you why you hate working so close to the border with Cultch, the heavy slave usage common there keep¡¯s you on edge whenever you think of it, but you are slightly surprised that you can¡¯t tell what type of Demi-human the girl is, the pointed ears covered in yellow fur with black tips and flat zig-zaging yellow tail mark her as some sort of beast-kin but for the life of you, you have no idea what beast she¡¯s kin too. This is strange since your Class is Dungeon Chronicler so it¡¯s kind of your job to know these things. Before you can get any further with that train of thought the guild master looks up from his work. ¡°Oh, hello there, do you happen to be Chronicler¡¡± he stops to search through his papers, likely looking for your letter of transfer ¡±Ash?¡± he asks, after finding what he was looking for. ¡°Yes sir!¡± The Guild branch head gives you a inquisitive look, and you can feel the question coming before he says it. ¡°Just how old are you?¡± You let out a soft sigh at the expected question. ¡°Thirty three, sir. And before you ask, I might have some Halfling blood in me somewhere, never know who my father was so I can¡¯t say for certain.¡± You¡¯re thankful that all he did was nod to that. ¡°Greeting Chronicler Ash, my name is Samuel Oak, I¡¯m the head of this branch of the adventures guild. Before I explain the reason you were summoned, could I ask you to Identify this girl for me.¡± He motioned to the slave girl on the chair. Identify is one of the key skills of a Dungeon Chronicler, the first thing a Chronicler can do after gaining the class. The ability to glean basic information on just about anything one looks at. You have no problem using the skill on the girl; you were going to do so anyway to slate your own burning curiosity. ¡°IDENTIFY¡±
Unnamed lvl 5 ''Unknown Monster#025''-kin
You flinch back in surprise. ¡°Her race is unknown!?!¡± you shout out the most surprising thing, well, maybe second most surprising, that twenty five tacked on the end is hinting at something even more outrageous. Oak sighs. ¡°I was afraid of that. I also suspect she has a level despite not having a class or even a name.¡± You nod ¡°Meaning this girl is a Dungeon monster, one with a monster core so she can exist outside her Dungeon. But why the slave collar then, I thought even Cultch didn¡¯t enslave dungeon monsters.¡± ¡°For the most part your correct, dungeon monsters make bad slaves, even ones with monster core because monster cores evenly run out of power and die if the monster doesn¡¯t return to the dungeon soon enough..¡± Old man Oak said. ¡°But see the mana stone in her slave collar, how it¡¯s half red and half white. We think it¡¯s a hybrid of a normal mana stone fond in magic items and a still living monster core. This thing, like regular magic slave collars, recharges from it ¡®master¡¯ mana pool.¡± Oak then took on a face of disgust ¡°making this a monster slave that one doesn¡¯t have to return to its home, and will die if their collar is removed or they go without a master for too long.¡± ¡°Who made it?¡± you ask ¡°Who in the world could make something like this?¡± ¡°If my theory is correct, the same dungeon that made her did, it is also the dungeon I called you in to scout. Now back to business, you said her race is still un-named, well as the first Chronicler to see her it up to name this type of monster in the ¡®Log¡¯, got any ideas?¡± You cringe; you¡¯ve always been terrible at naming things and you explain that to him, but he is correct, you do have the ability to ¡®Log¡¯ a new name for a new kind of monster, this will add info to the Identify for future Chroniclers. The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. Support the author by reading it there. ¡°LOG¡± A thick leather bound book appears and lands in your lap. This is the first time you¡¯ve ever used this skill so your personal log book is completely blank, but instead of using the first page you, remembering the mysterious number in her place holder of a name, turn to page twenty five instead. ¡°Do any of the local adventures have any nick-names that might work? I¡¯d prefer to use something the locals are comfortable with than just making one up on the spot.¡± Oak scratches his chin. ¡°A few might have some ideas, mostly about personal name for this particular little one, but seeing how she need one of those too I¡¯ll start asking around.¡± A quill appears in your hand and your body starts moving on your own, it begins with a detailed sketch of the girl, colors change to match the yellow fur of her ears and the brown of her eyes and specific detail is given to the vivid red blushes on her cheeks, than it was your turn to blush as the magic of the skill starts to draw your model sans clothing. You don¡¯t stop because this is giving you important information like the fact that her race has two brown stripes on her mid back, but it doesn¡¯t stop it from being embarrassing. After that the magic of the skill jots down a few tide-bit of information about her species that it has somehow learned just by you being in her presence for a few moments. Your skill has left the name blank for now, you¡¯ll have to come back to it and fill more in latter you don¡¯t really have much to go on yet. Oak shuffles around his papers for a report. ¡±I¡¯m going to give you a quick background on how this new dungeon was located. It all started with a sudden up swing of Demi-human slave of unknown breeds being sold in Cultch city near our border in the kanto mountain range; an investigation on the local mountain bandit with a history of slaving was launched and dispatch of city guards was able to find the remains of a recently decimated group bandits, where it was discovered said bandits were raiding an unknown Dungeon for items and enslave-able monster girls until something happened to them.¡± ¡°Through the questioning of the sole remaining slave in their camp¡± Oak motions to the girl again ¡°it was quickly deduced the mountain bandits stumbled upon a newly forming Dungeon core and the leader of the bandits was just skilled enough in magic to partly enslave the new core. He was able to lay down some commands and restriction on the core such as restricting the dungeon to only summon female Demi-humans as defending monsters, and forbidding it from making traps.¡± ¡°We think the bandits were also trying to force the core to form a connection to the Lady of the first circle.¡± You shiver at the thought, demon aligned Dungeons were bad news, and while the Lady of Lust was the weakest and lest hateful of the seven demon lords, she was still extremely harmful to all around her in her own way. Her dungeons tended to have a lot Succubui, you give a sidelong look at the strange beast-girl again. ¡°We think however, the core somehow ended up connecting to Phabel Queen of stories instead.¡± You nod your head, Phabel is a Fay Queen with power over stories, and she is known to empower Dungeons that tell a tale of one kind or another. Her story Dungeons start quite a bit larger than normal for a young dungeon but unlike other dungeons don¡¯t grow, instead a story dungeon that gains enough power will spawn a ¡®sequel¡¯ dungeon nearby. They tend to be safer than most other dungeons too, as long as you stick to your role, but if you don¡¯t¡ ¡°Do you think the bandits ignored the story line so Queen Phabel sent an enforcer that wiped them out?¡± ¡°The Bad-men didn¡¯t want to play by the rules of the game so the game broke and the story queen sent the Missing One to play with them instead.¡± The Beast-girl chose that moment to speak up, which sort of surprised you, though you¡¯re not sure why, almost all beast-kin can speak the common tongue even dungeon born ones. Still, that pretty much answered your question. ¡°Quite, well that¡¯s the story, and the fact is we are going to need more information the normal before we send anyone into this dungeon.¡± Said Oak, he then pulled open a drawer of desk and handed you a magic item known as a messaging tube, put a rolled up scroll in one and it will appear in a matching one you think Oak is keeping somewhere in his office. ¡°We need you, if your willing, to go room by room, documenting all you can as you go; we need to know the bound of the story line, the types of mobs in each area and what kind of loot there is. Even if you can only scout out the first few areas before retreating any information you can provided will be needed. Do you think you can you do that for us?¡± ¡°Yes sir!¡± you can¡¯t say you¡¯re not excited, being the first document a new dungeon is what dungeon chronicler dream of, and one with a large amount unnamed monster will be super prestigious even if you do outsourcing the naming to the local community. ¡°Who will my escort team be sir?¡± ¡°She¡¯s right here of course.¡± Oak motioned to the Beast-girl once again ¡°What?¡± you ask in total confusion from the nonsense of his response. ¡°Well, as you might already know standard protocol is to send the Chronicler in with a team of high level adventurers as defenders, but¡ this Phabel dungeon like serval other Phabel dungeons has a strict party limit, this one a variant of a solo dungeon.¡± ¡°But I¡¯m not a Warrior Chronicler, I haven¡¯t duel-classed with anything, let alone a combat class, I won¡¯t be able to defend myself!¡± your starting to panic a little at the thought of being thrown into a dungeon to fend for yourself. ¡°Calm yourself, I said it was a variant of a solo dungeon. While only one human can seem to enter any intent, he can bring up to six monsters waring this type of collar with them. We only have this one to give you right now, but you should be able to capture more monster girls as you go. Besides, she¡¯s not exactly helpless.¡± Oak turns towards the beat-girl, you turn too. The young girl raises her hands, and with not even a word, a small but brilliant bolt of lightning arcs between her open palms. The Fortress in the Bay With a blinding flash you and your new partner arrive in the starting area of the new dungeon. You look around nervously, but Spiera the newly named Sparkin girl just stands next to you yawning in the brand-new gear you bought for her. Natural elemental magic or no, there was no way you were putting your life in the hands of an unarmed slave-girl wearing nothing more than a sack-cloth tunic. So you drew out as much gold as you had, and equipped the Beast-girl the best you were able, which isn¡¯t saying much. But at least now Spiera is dressed in some black Rouge leathers and armed with a mages staff carved from lightning charred wood and tipped with a chunk of fulgurite. Still, you¡¯re pretty worried about your defence. You¡¯ve been able to see her stats since guild head Oak transferred over the control of her collar to you. She has great speed, and above average physical and magical attack too, but her HP isn¡¯t that good and her physical defence is terrible, in short, she¡¯s a mid to rear guard and much too soon we were going to need a vanguard. As to where you are, the archway that serves as the dungeon gate is in the middle courtyard of a fenced in area. The perimeter is walled off with giant pikes made from whole trees, reinforced with support beams to protect from the outside. Inside this frontier style fort with is two small building and one large one, all painted the same shade of periwinkle. To the north is a gate leading to wild grass taller than a grown man, to the south is a broken down port, between the fort and the lapping wave stretches a blue barrier of magic. There, near the barrier, you saw a person. ¡°IDENTIFY¡±
NPC#002 lvl N/A Dwarf
¡°Oh! An NPC.¡± You say excitedly. Non-combative Phabel Creations are an important source of information in story dungeons like this, they are also a shore sign that you have started in a safe area. NPC are not made by the dungeon, they are created by Phabel to play a part in her story, so they give no Xp or loot, attacking them is also a great way to summon the enforcer. The Dwarf is fishing through the barrier, you also see an elf girl tending to a small vegetable garden, and you would bet your last thirty silver that there are more NPC¡¯s in the buildings. ¡°Come on Spiera, we have some people to talk to!¡± ¡°What!? NOOOO!¡± the beast girl starts wailing as you drag her by the hand. ~~POKeMON~~ It¡¯s about an hour later when you finish questioning the two NPC¡¯s outside. Spiera quickly zapped you to get away and has since then been doodling in the dirt with the tip of her staff. You however have been much more productive, for even though NPC you meet early on in story dungeons don¡¯t typically know a lot, you¡¯ve still been able to learn a few important facts. First is that you are apparently playing the role of a local, both NPC¡¯s mentioned that the Inn keeper was your mother. You suspect that Phabel may have used a Doppelganger to play that part, so you mentally prepare yourself to meet with shapeshifter pretending to be your mom when you check into the Inn tonight. You¡¯ve also learned that your apparently childhood rivals with the shop keeps (the two NPC¡¯s you¡¯ve been talking too) youngest kid, you have no idea who they will shapeshift into but you suspect they will be another doppelganger. This brings you to another discovery. It would seem that the restriction of only having female Demi-humans has been applied to the NPC¡¯s as well, the Female Dwarf is playing the part of a male human and the elf his human wife, they have a daughter who runs the shop while they¡¯re out and a younger child they wouldn¡¯t even hint a gender for, your so called rival. The last thing you¡¯ve learned is that just about everything and everyone is nameable. It was an accident, but when the couple asked where you met the Sparkin girl traveling with you, you told them old man Oak gave her to you. You then felt the name stick, and then the elf said ¡°Oh! Father gave her to you?¡± ¡°Speaking of my good lord father-in-law, he said he had an important mission for you.¡± The Dwarf said pointing towards the largest building in the little port. That is how you accidently named the Lord of Port Periwinkle after your Guild Master. You re-checked the two with Identify and instead of being named NPC number one and two the couple was now called Mr. and Mrs. Oak. You thanked them, grabbed Spiera and left. You decided to start off with the manor first and then the item shop and finally the Inn, you¡¯ll spend the night and leave town the next day. So before you lose your nerve, you head out to meet the local lord. ~~POKeMON~~ The front gate is guarded by two elves that registered as NPC five and six, they nod to you and open the door, an elven maid numbered NPC seven meet us. ¡°If you would please follow me young master, Lord Oak is waiting.¡± The manor isn¡¯t all that big, smaller even then the Guild hall the real Oak is head of, so it doesn¡¯t take very long to be escorted to the proper sitting room.Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit. When the door¡¯s open you enter a room with five others waiting for you. Three monster girls whose species you don¡¯t recognize, a NPC you assume is the local lord who do look remarkable like Master Oak if Master Oak was an elderly female elf dressed like a poor human Nobel man in charge of a failing port town, but it¡¯s the last occupant of the room that gives you the biggest shock. ¡°Lara?!¡± you shout as you stumble back. You knock over a side table holding a vase of flowers in your panic. ¡°Surprised to see me little Ash?¡± asks your childhood tormenter brought back to life, or as a quick Identify reviles, the Doppelganger pretending to be her. And now Spiera is giggling at you. ¡°That¡¯s enough you two¡± Spoke Lord Oak ¡°I know you¡¯ve never had the greatest relationship, I have an important mission for the both of you, and while you don¡¯t have to work together, I expect you not to interfere with each other ether.¡± She (or should that be he since she¡¯s playing a male character) said looking and Doppel-Lara. Lara wipes the smug off her face before turning and giving a shallow bow to her elder. ¡°Yes sir.¡± ¡°The reason I called you here is that need people I trust to act as an escort to one of these girls, and to safely transport them to the Indigo Castle. The plan is to have Ash take one, Lara take another, and the third stay with me for the time being. The journey may be dangerous, but these girls, while inexperienced, are of strong bloodlines and will quickly grow to be trusted comrades in arms.¡±
Quest: The Princess
You have been tasked with helping one of three girl''s claim the empty throne of Indigo Castle. But first you have to pick which one.
Reward: The Princess you choose joins your party, you gain the ability to leave though the north gate of Port Periwinkle, ?????
Failure: ?????
This sounds like the start of an important quest line, something particularly important in story dungeons. Phebal tends to use a main quest to tell her stories, other quest tend to be optional. The question marks for the last reward and the failure have you nerves however. But one of the rewards being the ability to leave town has really left you with no choice whether you would except or not. Spiera went silent at the beginning of Oak¡¯s speech, and was now giving the three monster girls the stink-eye. All three girls were wearing colorful expensive looking dresses, each had a choker which on closer inspection was a gilded version of the slave collar Spiera wore, and lastly, each one was armed with an ornate piece of equipment that could be used to fill our emerging teams missing vanguard position. The first girl looked to be some version of lizard girl, with orange scales, a tan underbelly and green eyes. The most notable feature about her was the live flame dancing on the end of her long tail. She was tall, skinny and a short haired blond with a pixie cut, dressed in red and gold in a loose, airy style of the desert countries of the south-east, made of dyed silks and many bangles. She was armed with a short sword with a carved blade and jewelled golden guard. An Identify called her ¡®Unnamed lvl 5 Unknown Monster#004''. The next was a blue scaled girl with a round face and burgundy eyes. It¡¯s a bit hard to tell but your think that her dress was ballooning out in the torso due to her having a turtle shell hidden under there. Her tail was a large squirrel like mass of light blue fur that matched her shoulder length curls. Her style of outfit is very in keeping with the dress of the nobility of your homeland, being modeled after a volumes ballroom gown in blue with white trim and silver accents. Her weapon of choice seems to be a large iron shield with a turtle shell design painted red. She was identified as ¡®Unnamed lvl 5 Unknown Monster#007''. The last was an Orkish looking girl with bluish green skin with darker green splotches and red eyes, her dress was backless to expose the massive flower bulb growing from her back. She was the most physically developed of the three, with notable bulges in the muscles of her arms and legs. Her hair was black and pulled into a tight bun with many beads and accessories woven in, and her dress was all earth tones and looked to mostly incorporate many furs and pelts in the make. She held a carved wooden scepter that looked like it could be use both as a severable club in the girls¡¯ strong hands as well as a great focus for spell casting. She was marked ¡®Unnamed lvl 5 Unknown Monster#001'' in your skills eyes. Whelp, this is a decision you have no idea how to make. ¡°Lord Oak, I thank you for this honor, but if you would kindly allow me the uses of your weighting desk¡± you gesture to said piece of furniture ¡°I would like to deliberate before coming to my final decision.¡± ¡°Take the time that you need, but please try to make up your mind quickly.¡± Oak then turned to the Doppelganger ¡°Would you like to choose first Lara?¡± ¡°No thanks, I don¡¯t mind letting Lil¡¯Ash have first choice.¡± She said in the exact tone of voice the real Lara always had when she knew something that you didn¡¯t. She then proceeded to flop down in an empty siting chair and wait. ¡°LOG¡± You wave Spiera over as you begin fill in the first, fourth and seventh page of your logbook. ¡°Anything you can tell me about these three Spiara?¡± Your new partner looks over her shoulder at the girls on the couch, a slight look of offence on her face ¡°They¡¯re not s¡¯post to be princesses, they¡¯re not even s¡¯post to be female. But the bad men changed things, and then Queen Phebal changed MORE things.¡± ¡°I meant which ones stronger, or something.¡± She just shrugs ¡°those three are about even I think, the plant has a lot of health and is good at magic, but won¡¯t learn any spell for a few levels, the salamander is strong and fast, though not as fast as me, but she is weak in the first boss fight, and the turtle is slow and has a weak attack with her shield, but her defence is really high.¡± You add that info into the Log, and then you make a copy of all three pages, you then begin on a note to the Guild Master explaining the choice you have to make. ¡°To the desk of Guild Head Oak of the Kanto Mountain branch of the Adventures Guild This is Chronicler Ash, upon me and my partners crossing of the dungeon gate we found ourselves in a safe area I have named Port Periwinkle. In the short time we¡¯ve been here, I have come to know of no less than nine to twelve NPC¡¯s in the area, three I have accidently named or partly named and two who are doppelgangers playing the parts of ¡°Mother¡± and ¡°Rival¡± to the adventure in the instance. The story so far seem to have the adventure be the son or daughter of the local Inn keeper who is summoned by the local lord to escort his or her choice of one of three warrior ¡°Princesses¡± safely to a castle some ware else in the dungeon. I hypothesise this is a way to give the ¡®Hero¡¯ of the story a companion early on, for those unlike me who didn¡¯t have the chance to partner up with a local before entering the dungeon. Enclosed is all the information I have been able to glean on my personal three choices with help of skill and Spiera. I request assistance in naming of these three, both personal and race, and strategic add in choosing which one should join my team." Rivals ¡°Well that was quick.¡± You receive a reply some time later. *Groan* Apparently Spiera didn¡¯t agree that the guild heads return message was expedient. We have been whiting on an answer long enough that lord Oak flagged down the maid we meet earlier and order some tea, but not long enough for it to arrive. ¡°LOG¡± You re-activate the skill for it had timed out in the meanwhile, and start logging the names. You start with Princess ¡®Charming¡¯, the fire-lizard girl an adventure suggested be called a Charkin, but when you entered it into the log the name came up as Lesser Charkin, suggesting at least one evolution. Next was Princess Soulle who under the same logic was a Lesser War-Turtle and princess Barst who was a Lesser Greenback. Then there was the problem of who to choose, and it seemed like Guild Master Oak¡¯s solution was to hold a quick vote in the guild hall. The results of which was over half of the votes going to the Charkin girl. You trusted there judgment, it would be a while before you would learn a majority voted for no strategic reason and only because they liked the way she looked. ¡°Lord Oak, I have come to my decision.¡± ¡°Finally!¡± you hear in stereo, apparently both Spiera and Lara though I was taking too long. You extend your hand the fire-lizard girl ¡°Princess Charming, I would be honored to escort you to the Indigo Castle.¡±
Quest completed
Rewards gained: Lesser Charkin princess is now your ally, Port Periwinkle¡¯s north gate is now open, Lesser War-Turtle princess is now your enemy
Oh you knew that hidden reward was going to be trouble. You turn to the round, bubbly beast girl and she her face is red with rage. ¡°You picked HER? You couldn¡¯t find a more unsuited person for the empty throne then that arrogant, disrespectful, trash mouthed hot head. She will bring this land to ruin, why ever did you choose her.¡± The lanky Lizard girl reached out and grabbed your hand and you help her to her feet. The first thing you notice is that she is much taller than Spiera, not that that¡¯s at all a difficult feat seeing how ridiculously tiny the thunder mouse girl is, but the Charkin¡¯s unimpressive four foot nothing height still brings her over a head taller than the miniscule two foot eight inch Sparkin. Not that your one to talk, your Halfling blood makes it that your barley taller then Charming. Chaming turns to look at her enemy Soulle, ¡°Of course he choose me, it¡¯s plainly obvious even to the most lowly of common folk¡¯s eyes that I have the noblest blood of the three of us, for it is only I that is descended from the mighty dragons bloodline, so it is only I who should rule as the next empress. So little turtle feel free to go back to cowering in your little iron shell like your good at and let a real queen of monsters worry about the empty throne.¡± You can start to feel yourself sweat as the Turtle girl grows even redder in the face as your new ally continues to antagonize her. Lara took this chance to act. Before you know it, she was kneeling in front of the blue princess and holding her hand. ¡°Lady Soulle, I can¡¯t stand ideally by and let this uppity Kolbold and her pet fool run amok.¡± ¡°KOLBOLD!!¡± a shrieking Charming squawks in affront to the label. You are starting to get really nervous, this doesn¡¯t look to be going anywhere good. ¡°Let us join together, with our powers combined, we¡¯ll defeat the dragon and take back the throne, than you can bring peace to land and sea as a great benevolent empress.¡± Lara exclaims, looking deep into her chooses eyes. Princess Soulle looks taken aback, and a bit awed by the display. You kind of want to start applauding, both the Doppel and the War-turtle are great actors, much better then Charming, who is clearly uncomfortable playing the part of an arrogant dragon princess and is, in your honest opinion is kind of hamming her lines up to much. You get that kind in story dungeons all the time, a good boss monster is not often also a good actor, so you get some hammy villains. ¡°I would be honored Lady Lara, please be at my side in these upcoming times if trial.¡± The Turtle Princess said misty eyed. This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. ¡°Then with your permission my lady¡± Lara released one of her hands holding Soulle, and with it started going through a sires of complicated hand signs. ¡°Let my magic root you down so you my better hold your ground.¡±
Lara cast Knock-back Down lvl 1 on Soulle
¡°Let my magic fortify your body and strengthen your will.¡±
Lara cast Resistance Up lvl 1 on Soulle
¡°Let my magic fill you and grow so you may be more then you once were.¡±
Lara cast Embiggen lvl 2 on Soulle
The doppelganger that was playing Lara cast three support spell upon the monster girl, then Soulle, who was the shortest of the three, swelled up until she was even bigger then Barst who was the biggest. ¡°Let¡¯s put the kolbold and fool in their place. Sorry little Ash, but this is gonna hurt.¡± Your god given ¡®Rival¡¯ says to you before the up-sized War-Turtle turns towards your party. You are quite understandably frightened by this development, but your new ally seems to have a differencing opinion as she draws her sword. ¡°You one to label other fools, all you have accomplished is making the bumbling turtle a bigger target for my blade.¡± Then the fight was on. Charming darted in and out of melee range, scoring Scratches on any exposed part of Soulle¡¯s body before she could get her shield up. Occasionally Soulle would try to Tackle the nimble lizard girl but so far she has missed, more often though she would whip her tail out, this caused no damage but every time the squirrel like light-blue tail brushed her she would receive a debuff called Defence Down. Charmy would sometimes respond with a primal animalistic Growl that applied an Attack Down debuff on her enemy but more often she would opt to keep on the attack. It would seem to be going well, Charming was whittling her enemy down little by little, but everything changed when she was hit by a fifth Tail whip.
Lara cast Stone Fist lvl 2 on herself
Lara came out of know where and clocked the Charkin with what looked like an oversized gauntlet carved from solid rock, knocking her out cold. The shapeshifter then turns to you. There¡¯s a look in her eye that you remember from your childhood, one that promises pain. You back as far away from her as you can, but she just follows. ¡°That was a pretty pathetic show little Ash, you just standing there and letting the princess defend you. You are supposed to be a team, but with team work that bad, you two are never gonna get far. Heck, I¡¯d be surprised if you could make it as far as Fort Viridian alive. Now I¡¯m not gonna kill you, but I still need to knock you out to count as my win, so say goodbyYyYyYyYyYyYyYyEeEeEeEeEeEe!!!!!¡± Lara then collapsed to the ground twitching and spasming. That¡¯s what happens when one is struck by magical lightning. Soulle turns around to see whare the surprise attack came from and received Spiera¡¯s second thunder shock strait to the face. It was super affective. Both Lara and Soulle vanished in a puff of smoke.
You received 1 silver and 75 copper, Spiera is now lvl 6
¡°Let¡¯s get out of here, I¡¯m getting hungry.¡± Spiera than grabs the still unconscious Charming by the tail (just below the flame) and starts dragging her to the door. That¡¯s when the maid returned with the tea cart, Spiera then spins around and drags the sleeping princess back into the room and sits down. You decide to just stay where you are, huddled in the corner. Spiera¡¯s having tea, Charming is face down on the floor at her feet, Barst is laughing and Lord Oak and his maid just look lost and confused. You have a dreading feeling that this is just the beginning of a long string of scenes like this. ~~POKeMON~~ ¡°Well, that was traumatic for me. And what¡¯s worse, if I know my story dungeons like I think I do. Lara has already respawned somewhere further in the dungeon and is now even stronger than just now. We need to ready ourselves.¡± It¡¯s been a few hours, and you¡¯ve just finished checking out the item store. You now know where Spiera¡¯s sackcloth tunic came from, most of the stuff there was equally poor quality. The most useful thing you found was a crude map. It consists of about eleven colored squares connected by numbered lines, there are also a few circles that mark places of interest like the large forest north of the viridian square that Spiera says she¡¯s originally from. ¡°The tea was nice, but I need something more filling before bed.¡± Spiera said, you don¡¯t think she was listening to you at all. ¡°Yes, I too need an evening meal and a good bed to fully recover from my wounds.¡± Said Charmy, she had awoken mid-way through Spiera¡¯s tea time. ¡°Secure it for us at once servant boy.¡± *Clap, clap* You think Charming¡¯s acts going to grow real old real soon, and hope she gives it a rest in the near future. ¡°Well, the Inn¡¯s right there. We should rest up for the night before hitting road one.¡± You open the door for your two companions and suddenly find yourself in the death grip of some horrible dungeon monster, it screeches your name as it tries to squeeze the life out of you. Yes, is all the earlier chaos you had completely forgot that this town had another doppelganger, one that was playing the part of your mother. ¡°Ash, it is so good to see you again.¡± The dopple-mon says as she crushes you with all of her love. You suddenly revaluate how likely this dungeon is to kill you.
