    Ch1 - Something strange


    [Ohryaaaaa!]


    I shouted as I ended the life of the high-rank elder dragon, steela.


    I am playing DHO, also known as, Dragon Hunter Online. It is a vrmmorpg game that focuses on the hunting of dragon type monsters, using their drops to make new weapons and armours. The difference between DHO and other MMO is that DHO does not have levels, players progress by improving their skills and equipment instead. (something like mh)


    Not to brag but I actually soloed Steela which normally took a full team of four hunters to hunt it.


    It''s not because I do not have any friends okay? It''s because there is going to be an update soon and the server will be under maintenance.


    After the last hunt with my friends, there were a few minutes left before the update so I went to solo a Steela.

    The steela is an elder dragon that has the look of a European dragon no less than 8m tall when standing on all fours. It has armour-like scales that are as hard as steel, the only difference between its scales and normal armour is that it(scales) is very thick. Even if you manage to shave off some of its scales, you are far from hurting it. Even its wings are made of steel which made you wonder how does it actually fly. When its wings are spread, its width can easily reach up to five times its height.


    And how did I solo this dragon with such hard scales? What people normally thought must be that I am using some op(overpowered) equipment.


    But, even with op weapons, I don''t think you can cut through the scales of steela, an elder dragon that easily.


    Anyways my equipment is obviously from high ranked elder dragons as I can say that I am a high-rank player in DHO.


    I am currently equipped with my favourite light armour made from materials of the strongest dark dragon, Vampaer and armed with my favourite weapons, Eternal flame dagger on my right and Endless tide dagger on my left which were made from materials of the strongest fire and water dragons, Leostel and Zeniola.


    How I win Steela is the common hit-and-run tactic. I just try to dodge all of its attacks and keep striking at the same area until I stripped that area from its armour-like scales, revealing its flesh and finally dealing a fatal blow.

    The dragon roared, breathing its last breath before its body fell to the ground making a slight tremor.

    A few minutes later.


    [That''s weird?]


    I mumbled with a puzzled face.


    Usually, when the targeted monster is subjugated, there will be a pop-up signalling the completion of the mission.


    It has already been a few minutes since I have slain the armoured dragon.


    I am very sure that the mission''s objective was only to slay the Steel elder dragon, Steela. If that''s the case, this may be some kind of bug.

    When I am about to log off from DHO since this looks like a hopeless case, I let out a scream of surprise.


    The logoff button is missing! To be exact, there isn''t even a single button! The player''s interface where they usually display the health and stamina of your character is nowhere to be found!

    Ch2 - Differences


    The player''s interface is gone, no buttons are visible. I only noticed now because I normally focus on the monsters during a hunt. You may never know if an attack will be coming while you are looking at your status! Is this a bug?!


    Come to think of it, there was a different feeling from usual during the fight with Steela just now. How do I say it... Everything felt real. I felt ''pain'' when I got hit.


    DHO is a vrmmorpg but there are no ''senses'' other than sight and hearing inputted in the game. (basically no touch, no taste, no smell) So, how did I feel pain? Is this the new update?


    With that thought, I tested out various things regarding the senses.


    First, the most important sense that I am going to test is ''touch''. I lift up my hand and swing it to my face with moderate strength.


    [Oww!]


    I cried as I slapped myself. If people passed by, they must have thought that I am crazy for slapping myself. Honestly, you can simply check the sense of touch by touching your own hands or something. But, I wanted to make sure I did not fall asleep halfway through the hunt and went dreaming.


    My brain lagged for a moment due to surprise before I moved on to test smell and taste.


    The items used for hunting are all in the waist pouch for quick access. It will be annoying to press the interface buttons during a hunt to use items.


    I took out a bread from my pouch and brought it close to my nose. There is actually a sweet aroma! Without a moment to spare, i bit down onto the sweet smelling soft bread.


    [Mmmph! Delish!]


    There''s a sweet taste and a soft texture! The tasteless bread that is used to increase max stamina actually got a taste!


    Gulp* (swallow)


    With this, I came to two possibilities.


    Number one - The update just came in and there are a lot of bugs.


    Number two - DHO became real somehow.


    Honestly, i will just bet my premium cake on number two. I hope there is some way I can confirm this situation quickly. But for now I will just finish my bread first~

    >POV of a hunter<


    Around me are over a hundred of A rank and B rank hunters, gathered to chase away the elder dragon that recently migrated to this forest.


    Honestly, even with over a hundred man, I am not confident that we will be able to chase the elder dragon away. Only a group of S rank hunters can slay an elder dragon. Currently, there are only ten S rank hunters and all of them are currently on another mission.


    As we are nearing the point where the elder dragon was last seen, all of us froze for a moment when a screeching roar echoed through the forest. Birds started flying away from the direction of the roar.


    I can see the hunters around me tense up, some of them re-gripping their weapons for the sense of security. My heart started thumping faster.


    6 hunters, including me were sent out to scout ahead. We split into twos and headed towards different directions.


    I am currently running towards the point where the roar is heard last together with my best friend, Thomas. If I didn''t lose a game of rock-paper-scissors, I would not have even thought of checking out the source directly.


    [What is the meaning of this?!]


    I mumbled, looking at the scene which unfolded in front of my eyes. When I turn over to look at Thomas, he had this amazing expression with both his eyes and his mouth wide open.


    In front of us is the body of the elder dragon. I thought I am going to die just by looking at it.


    But, what shocked us even more is the sight of a girl standing right beside the dragon. She looks around 160cm tall with long silver hair over her waist. Her skin is as white as snow which contrast with the black clothing she is wearing and her eyes are shining in a golden color like it is reflecting on the colors of the Sun. Wearing a halterneck with her back covered with a hooded cape and a pair of mini shorts that exposes her beautiful thigh, her figure was so alluring that I can''t take my eyes off her. The girl is what one would call a beauty, it is not an exaggeration to say that she may be the most beautiful girl in this world. She is wearing this delightful face as she chomp on the bread in her hand.


    It took me a while to snap out of it. I tapped on Thomas'' shoulder and signal him to approach the girl. He got so shocked that he let out a cry when i tapped him.


    I looked back at the girl in panic and froze. The girl is staring right back at us with a face that looked like she is surprised.


    At that moment, an angelic voice reached my ears.


    [Hey! The two of you over there!]


    It was the voice of the girl calling out to us.

    My name is Karlo, a 19 years old HEALTHY young man and my interest is playing vrmmo. I am currently playing DHO as a character named Kalia. And yes, the character is a girl, not that I tried to act like one though. I mean come on... I will rather look at a girl than a guy. But if that''s the case, wouldn''t most of the people playing mmorpg be nekamas already? Only idiots will believe a girl is playing mmorpg.


    When I am on a mission in DHO, things started to get weird...

    I am busy chomping on my bread and a satisfied face was unintentionally leaked out with every bite.


    Even bread can taste this delicious.


    ''Wah?!'' A shout echoed in the woods not far from me. I turned my head towards the direction of the sound and saw two middle aged men staring at me beside a tree. The one with his butt on the ground which looked like he just fell, have a goatee (Thomas) while the one kneeling beside him have a mustache. (Hunter A)


    (Geh! People¡­)


    I thought to myself while hoping that they did not caught me slapping myself. They may have information that I need but they looked like they had just seen a ghost while staring at me.


    [Hey! The two of you over there!]


    I waved as I called out to them.


    A few seconds had already passed but they are still in the same position beside the tree.


    This is actually annoying me so I walked towards them.


    [Hey! The two of you! Goatee-san and Mustache-san. Won''t you two snap out of it already? You two looked like you had seen a ghost.] (me)The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.


    I said to them in an angry tone and they finally regained consciousness, trying to grasp the situation they are currently in.

    Ojou-chan?! What do they mean by ojou-chan?! I know I am using a female character but they should be using my name which should be right on top of my head!

    I shouted as I just realised something SUPER IMPORTANT. If the game became real, then that will mean that I became a real girl!


    The player''s interface is gone so I can''t see any name on top of their heads, which means there is no name stated on top of my head as well.

    I guess I should... put that aside for now and focus on gathering information.

    I looked away and scratched my face while both of them looked at me with a puzzled face.

    The two men eyes widened as they just remembered what they are actually here for. They turned to me with a serious face after looking behind me for a while.


    [What happened here? What happened to the dragon over there? And who are you, Ojou-chan?] (Mustache-san)


    The air suddenly got tense.


    Hmmm... In this situation, should I tell them I slew the dragon? If this is reality, they look like they will make a fuss out of it and gathering too much attention is the last thing I want to do.

    [I can''t answer the first and second question as I have no idea what happened here. I was just passing by. As for the third question, My name is Kalia and I am on my way to the capital but I am currently lost. Will you two gentlemen be so kind as to guide me to the nearest town?]


    I tried asking in a polite tone and bowed lightly to them.


    The game used to teleport the players to the hunting zone so I have no idea how to go back to the city. It will be great to have someone guide me.


    Goatee-san looked at Mustache-san with a face that clearly says ''let''s guide this pitiful Ojou-chan'' which actually kind of annoy me but I still tried my best to smile at them.

    I think I kind of get how girls feel when they are being stared at. To be exact, I am forced to understand given the situation I am currently in.


    I am standing about three metres away from a group of hunters. Even when we are about three metres apart, I can totally feel their stares. I can''t even ignore it since there are about a hundred pairs of eyes on me. I pulled up my hoodie and looked away to try and avoid as much eye contact as possible. I really wanted to run away.

    Thomas-san apologized as he ran towards me.

    I replied with a wry smile.

    Come to think of it, I will need money to get a place to stay and eat. The money in the game was placed in the items panel however, it is gone together with the player''s interface. After realizing it, I checked my pouch to see whether there is money. I found a small bag of coins in my pouch. I took out a piece of coin and returned the rest back into the pouch.


    [Hey, Thomas-san, how much is this coin worth?]


    I asked Thomas-san, thinking that the currency used in the game should be usable here as well. The coin that I brought out is a gold coin with a dragon emblem carved on it.


    [Whoa Kalia-chan! That is a gold coin isn''t it? That one coin can last you for a year!]


    According to Thomas, one gold coin equals to one hundred silver coins and one silver coin equals to one hundred copper coins. In order to have a place to stay and eat for a day will cost around twenty copper coins. Wouldn''t that mean that I''m rich since I got a bag of gold coins? Judging by the size of the bag, I will say that there are about thirty gold coins in it, which means¡­ I can slack and do nothing for about thirty years! This definitely need some consideration.     The first place we went after we reached Distodia is the money exchanger. I can''t go around buying things with the gold coins given how much it''s worth. I exchanged a gold coin for ninety-five silver coins and five hundred copper coins. The silver and copper coins are a lot smaller than a gold coin. The same bag I used to contain thirty gold coins can hold up to two hundred copper coins or one hundred silver coins. With this, I got four more bags of coins with me which is actually quite heavy. I should just put a few bags in the inn later.


    We parted ways after they introduced me to the innkeeper of the inn, Golden Valley. The inn is two-stories high and made of wood. Without further delay, I am lead into the inn by the innkeeper.

    Before I knew it, the sun is already setting. A lot of stuff happened today and there are still a lot of things I do not understand. It''s been a tiring day.

    The innkeeper asked me in a polite tone. The innkeeper, Sisti, is a mature looking woman around her mid-twenties. She has light brown hair pinned up into a bun at the back of her head and is wearing a long maroon one-piece dress with some flower ornaments.

    I replied with the brightest smile of the day as I can finally rest.

    I just got to my room and I am currently resting on the bed. It is truly a blissful moment.


    There is a toilet and a bathroom located at the corner of the room. I am so glad that there is a toilet and a bathroom in the room, this world is not as bad as I thought it will be. I am not expecting to be able to bath at all in this world.


    When I got up to prepare for a bath, I came to a realization. How am I going to wash myself? I don''t even think I can look at myself without feeling embarrassed. When I am thinking about that, a sudden chill passed through my entire body. I need to use the toilet!

    Even though Onii-chan and I should have disappeared on the same day, I was transported into this world in the timeline six months ahead of Onii-chan. When DHO was still a game, I was hunting a dragon with three other hunters before the update. Halfway through the battle, we realized that the game became real. All of us got hurt and were bleeding but we still managed to slay the dragon.


    When we were discussing about our situation, a group of hunters came and before we knew it, we were registered as A rank hunters.


    We slew more and more dragons together and  I rose up to S rank when I got strong enough to slay a dragon on my own.


    Before I knew it, the team started falling apart. We meet up lesser and lesser and barely even did any hunting together. I was really lonely.


    When I was on a mission, an urgent request suddenly came to me. It was to subjugate an elder dragon that migrated to the forest near the capital. The request was also sent to every S rank hunters so I do not have to worry about fighting an elder dragon alone. Since I had already completed my mission, I headed over immediately, only to find that the elder dragon was already dead.


    I heard from the captain of a group of hunters that a girl with long silver hair by the name of Kalia was found near the dragon and was escorted to Distodia.

    At first, the innkeeper did not let me know where the girl is. However, after seeing me on the brink of crying and after I said that she may be my long lost sister, she gave up and showed me the way. She left after I entered the room.


    Right in front of my eyes was a girl with long silver hair and a cute sleeping face. Tears started welling up inside my eyes. The girl in front of me is definitely the character Onii-chan used. I can''t wait anymore!


    I jumped onto her and keep calling ''Onii-chan'' to wake her up.


    When she woke up, she looked at me with a puzzled face. That''s when I realise my appearance is different from before. Just like onii-chan, I am now my character in DHO. We do not play together so he may not even know that it is me! I know about Kalia because Onii-chan always brags about it and he is also quite famous in DHO.


    [Lily?]


    The girl murmured. He knows! Everything inside me suddenly burst out. I threw myself towards him and hugged him tightly as I burst into tears while crying ''Onii-chan'' again and again.


    He hugged me back and gently stroke my head.


    [It''s alright now. Onii-chan is here.]


    He whispered into my ears while he continued to stroke on my head, trying to comfort me.


    [It had been scary you know? I was lonely you know?]


    I cried out all the feelings that are buried inside me for six months.


    He just nods and listened to me while I complained.

    There is really good food in this inn just like what Rufus-san and Thomas-san told me. I am really glad that the food in this world have the same taste as my former world or maybe even better.


    After having our fill with the delicious food, we made plans to meet in the guild tomorrow and parted ways at the entrance of the inn. Jun headed to the guild while Lily followed me back into the inn.

    Before the players arrived in the world of DHO, the wall was very useful as there were occasional dragon attacks. Now that the players arrived, most of them joined the hunters guild and the dragons that were sighted around the vicinity were all hunted by them.

    I asked Lily while walking beside my horse. It has been around an hour since we left Distodia. I got off the horse because I am still not used to horse riding and my butt is starting to hurt.

    Well, I did expect that we will take a while to reach Yokke Village but I didn''t expect it to be five days. Now that I think about it, Yokke Village is located at the top of a mountain. Since there are no mountains near Distodia, it actually makes sense if travelling to Yokke Village takes that long.

    Lily called out to me from the front while scanning the forest for a suitable place to set up camp. I nodded in response and started to get off my horse. We have been travelling for six hours already and I am really tired as I am not used to all this.


    We settled in an area not far from the river and tied our horses to a nearby tree. Lily went off into the forest saying that she will find something for us to eat while making me in charge of starting a fire.


    In order to start a fire, I started to walk around the campsite to find some twigs and branches. When I found a sufficient amount of them, I gathered them in the middle of our camp. The problem is... how do I start a fire?

    Lily called out cheerfully when she came back with a chicken in her hand.

She then took a twig and lit it on fire before throwing it into the pile of twigs and branches that I collected. After a short while, the fire started burning up, the wild flames started dancing into the skies before vanishing into the cold thin air. I just stared at the whole process in amazement.


    [Hmmm... How do I start?]


    Lily said while she started preparing the chicken. Let''s not get into the details of how she is preparing it. I can''t take the gore so I just look away from the terrifying scene.

    At the side of the river, I cautiously surveyed the surroundings. After confirming that it is safe, I slowly strip myself and hang my clothes and towel on a tree branch nearby.

    I gasped as I look into my reflection by the riverside. The girl reflected on the river''s surface really is a beauty. Long shiny silver hair down to her waist, cute sharp almond-shaped eyes with golden pupils and fair white skin. Well, of course she is pretty as I am the one that created this character to suit my taste. However, now, the girl reflected in the river''s surface is me. This is the first time I have seen myself so clearly as I was bathing with Lily for the past two days. The girl''s reflection now has a funny expression, it is like someone that is thinking of whether they should laugh or cry but just awkwardly opening their mouth in the end. I let out a sigh and when I do so, the girl reflected in the river''s surface also let out a sigh at the same time.


    When I am washing myself, I notice a small black crest at my lower abdomen. I don''t remember adding any tattoos or the likes before when I created this character. Now that I focus more on it, it kind of resembles a dragon. In the end, I chose to ignore it.

    It has been five days since we left Distodia and we just reached the foot of the mountain. From here on, it should be a day trip through the mountain forest to get to Yokke Village.


    In these five days, nothing really happened. We just travel in the morning and find a place to rest in the night. The only change is that I got more used to travelling and riding a horse. Now that I am more accustomed to riding a horse, I find it somewhat fun and of course that includes caring for the horse.

    Just when I got onto the horse, an Axector jumped out of the bush directed at me.

    Before I can react, I let out a scream as it knocked me down from the horse.

    I groan in pain when I landed onto the ground with both my arms pinned down by its legs.


    When the pain subsided a bit, I open my eyes just to find an Axector staring straight at me with its big round lizard eyes. Seriously, the eyes! They were never that scary when DHO was still a game.

    Before Lily can help me, another Axector jumped out, blocking the path between me and Lily.


    When the Axector on me opened its mouth, getting ready to bite me, its saliva started dripping onto me. EEW! A wave of static ran through my body and my body hair started standing up due to extreme disgust. That''s absolutely gross! As it breathes out, the horrible smell of its breath infested my nostrils. I might really faint from this... and die...


    Not being able to stand the smell any longer, I exert my strength into my lower body and did an upward kick directly onto the Axector''s butt. It flew and crashed onto a nearby tree by the force of my kick. When I got up, my face started twitching as I saw the scene before me. We are surrounded by a pack of Axectors. Let''s see... one, two, three, four... eleven of them and an Axector over three times the size of the rest, circling around us in the woods, staring at us with its menacing eyes, analyzing every movement we are making, that is the Alpha Axector.


    Come to think of it, not counting my fight with Steela, this will be my first battle in this world and to fight a pack during my first battle...     Heading towards us from within the woods, it''s another Alpha Axector! This Alpha Axector has a dark green skin coating, no wonder we didn''t notice it as it was camouflaging itself in the woods. But other than its colour, there is another thing that differentiates itself from the rest of the Axectors. It has two protruding axe-shaped horn side by side. That''s a stronger variant of Axectors in terms of both speed and power. Well... Honestly to me, it is nothing. I am a high-rank hunter, you expect me to lose to something less than a dragon? I just want to get this over with quickly as I do not want to kill and shed any blood! Ah... I feel sick just thinking about it again. Argh! You know what? This serves as a warning to tell them that if they continue to pursue me, they will end up like their leader. And as I expected, they turned and ran away.

    Tonight, the moon is not very bright but because of that, many stars can be seen lighting up the skies. With just that dim bit of light coming from the moon and stars, I am currently washing myself in the river.

    A sigh of relief escaped from my mouth. Apparently, when Taki was walking around the forest earlier, our horses came running towards his direction. He then calmed the two horses down and got them tied to a tree near the camp. When I went to see Kuro earlier, he greeted me with a neigh and came over to nudge me like he was relieved to see me safe.


    After I washed up, I wrapped a towel around my body and proceed to wash my clothes. They reek of sweat after an eventful day. Encountering a pack of Axectors with two alphas, losing our horses, getting lost in the woods, and finally meeting Taki in the middle of the woods. And here I am now, washing my clothes by the river.

    A sudden realization came to me when I am hanging my clothes on a tree branch. What am I going to wear when my clothes are drying? I did not bring any spare clothing along! To be more accurate, I don''t even have any spares!

I find myself glancing at Taki once in a while. Even though Lily said all those things, she is sleeping just fine! In the end, I only fell asleep in the middle of my watch duty. Luckily, nothing happened that night other than me not having enough sleep.

    [Ehhhh?! Yokke village was right beside us this whole time?]


    I shouted when the gate of Yokke village entered our sight. The village is surrounded by walls made of wood and there are two soldiers standing guard by the gate. They are wearing a set of metal armour with a sword sheathed on their waist. We just walked for about fifteen minutes from our campsite to where we are now, to be exact Lily and I are riding our horses while Taki is the one walking beside us.


    [Why didn''t you tell us?]


    I questioned Taki, giving him a face that looks like my feelings were betrayed. I could have gotten a good night sleep yesterday. I could have taken a proper bath too!


    [You didn''t ask.]


    Taki instantly replied. That''s a fair answer that I can''t refute.


    [Then why did you even camp in the forest when you could have just gone to Yokke village?]


    Lily intercepted with a simple and logical question. Why didn''t I think of that? Ugh¡­ I''m just too tired to think.


    [Well¡­ I was planning to head to Yokke village but I found marshmallows so I decided to camp out instead.]

    The guard asked. Even though he stuttered a bit in the beginning, he still managed to complete his sentence. I then walk over to Kuro, take out the permit and a letter given to us by Jun from the bag, walk back to where the guard is and handed him both the items while avoiding eye contact.

    After a short while, the two guards from before came back with another soldier to guide us to the guild. Before entering the gates, I bowed and thanked the two guards. After taking down our baggage, our horses were then brought over to the stable near the village gate.


    The whole trip to the guild was silent and before you know it, we are already at the guild entrance. The guild building is made of wood just like the rest of the structures in Yokke village, the only difference is that the guild building is a lot bigger than the other buildings around it. Before I can thank the guide, he dashed away after telling us to pass the letter to a guild attendant.


    [Alright, let''s go in.]


    I said while adjusting my hoodie, making sure that it covers my face before opening the door.


    The scene before us is just like the guild in Distodia, bustling with hunters but just not as many as in Distodia. Some of them are picking out a quest since the day just started and some of them are drinking beer even though the day just started. When we entered, all of them shifted their gaze onto us. The worst part is, their attention is clearly on me! Being the shy person I am, I looked down while adjusting my hoodie again. Lily then shifted closer to me and whispered right beside my ear.

    She got a point right there, at least they can''t see my face. Taki just smiled at me when I glanced at his direction. Ignoring all of the gazes, we moved straight to the counter.

    The guild clerk greeted us with a business smile when we arrive at the counter. The guild clerk is a girl around her early twenties wearing the guild white and blue uniform. Her looks are quite beautiful, I bet she must be really popular with the guys in the guild. Snapping out of my thoughts, I replied good morning with a smile before I handed the letter over to her. After getting a full view of my face, she can be seen blushing for a bit before receiving my letter.

We were lead to the biggest door at the back decorated with a guild emblem.

    She said with a bow. This time, I thanked her properly before she left. Guess it''s time to meet the guild master of Yokke village. I have no idea what to expect, I mean, I am pushed here the moment I reached Yokke village. I don''t even know why I am meeting the guild master. Since Jun is the one that prepared all this, I guess I have no choice but to trust his decision. Bracing myself, I knocked on the door before entering.

However being located on top of a mountain, there are many monsters roaming around thus the help of hunters are always needed.

    A moment after the alarm rang, two dragons can be seen flying high up in the sky. Both of them are blue, one lighter blue and one darker blue, both of them have orange highlights. Judging by their colour, they are the twin sky dragons, Dawn and Dusk! Super annoying high ranking dragons, they are always together, never apart. When DHO was still a game, it''s natural to expect both of them even if the quest is to hunt only one of them. Looks like it''s also the same when DHO became reality.


    The two dragons can be seen circling high above Yokke village like they are searching for something. Meanwhile, the villagers are evacuating to an underground shelter directed by the soldiers and both hunters and soldiers alike prepared their arms to fight. However, the two dragons are flying so high that no weapon can reach them.


    A little while after all the non-combatants finished evacuating, the two dragons finally started diving down towards the village. They are swirling around each other like they are doing an air show. It will be a beautiful sight if they are not diving down to attack a village. The hunters and soldiers are bracing themselves for a life and death battle. While everyone is bracing themselves, I noticed something, the direction the two dragons are diving towards is¡­ US?!


    When the two dragons got close enough, the hunters and soldiers started shooting projectiles at them using bows, hunting guns, cannons and ballistas. Knowing the direction the dragons are headed, I readied my weapon and got into a stance where I can easily dodge and attack when the dragons come at us.


    To my surprise, unlike the game where the monsters just take every hit we lashed out, the two dragons are dodging the projectiles beautifully in the air. They are dodging just by adjusting the distance they swirl around each other with minimal movements. They really lived up to their name as the twin sky dragons. I really had too much common sense from the game and forgot that they are actual intelligent and living creatures. Of course they will not want to get hurt too. The axectors that ran away previously was already enough proof that they are not stupid. Isn''t there like¡­ a huge increase in difficulty because of this?!


    Well¡­ Gaining intelligence doesn''t mean that their attacks will become stronger, it just meant that they became smart enough to dodge and dodging is no easy feat, I can tell from my experiences. Anyways, the two dragons are heading towards us so I got no choice but to brace myself for a fight.


    Just before the two dragons touch ground, Dusk, the dragon with darker blue colour went straight at us while Dawn, the dragon with lighter blue colour spreads its wings and flapped them a few times, hovering in the air not far from ground. The power Dawn used to flap its wings caused a burst of wind, making the dust around it to be blown away.     Taki shouted to me as he pushed me behind him. Before Dusk can reach us, Taki threw something to the ground with a swing of his hand. *Poof* Red smoke started to ooze out from the place where Taki threw the thing, it must have been a smoke bomb, but why red? Before I can ask him, he pulled me with him by my arm and we started running with Lily following us from behind. When I look back, I can see Dusk still chasing us but when it hit the red smoke, something weird happened. It crashed to the ground and started shaking its head and scratching its face like it''s in extreme discomfort. Without wasting any opportunity, the hunters and soldiers started charging at it.

    Taki looks back at me with a smirk. Taki''s way of hunting is indeed unique. Since DHO was a game, Taki has not been using his main weapons much. He relies more on items and tools, making the best use out of them. When we hunted dragons in our party, Taki always directs the battles and made us bait the dragons to his traps and set-ups.     Lily said, trying to reassure me. My face must be showing how worried and scared I am for her to try and comfort me. Of course I will be scared, anyone will be scared after seeing how much difference is there between game and real life. If you get killed, it will be an instant game over! The worst part is that I, I am clearly their target. Seriously! What did I ever do to them?!


    Seeing its partner in danger, Dawn dived down in between Dusk and the incoming attackers. With a swing of its wing, it blew the attackers away and gave a roar intimidating them afterwards. After a while when Dusk finally recovered, both of them soared into the skies again with a single flap of their wings. The power used was so great that they made the hunters and soldiers fall just by the wind pressure of that flap.


    While the dragons are busy we are already on our horses heading towards the village gate. I am riding on Kuro with Lily while Taki rides on Lily''s horse, of course, Lily is the one steering the horse as I am still not that good at it.


    When dusk noticed us running away, it gave a seemingly ferocious roar and shot an air blast at the hunters and soldiers before coming our way. After that, Dawn also shot an air blast at another group of hunters and soldiers before following Dusk. The seemingly useless group of hunters were more easily wiped out than I thought. Just with that two shots of air blast, many of them got heavily injured. Some got blown and fell from a great height, some got blown and crashed into buildings while some got hit by falling debris.


    Before any more of them get injured, I hurried to exit the village with the dragons following behind us. The dragons are clearly aiming for me so I will feel bad if anyone got injured because of me. We will run as far away from the village as possible and have our standoff somewhere in the forest. That''s the plan for now.

    Just a few seconds after we left the village, the dragons already caught up. Of course, the dragons will be faster than our horses. Before the dragons got too near to us, Taki threw something into the air right in front of the dragons. The thing that Taki threw is a flash bomb! Realizing what it is, I quickly turn back to the front before the flash bomb exploded. Not knowing what it is, the two dragons dodged it while maintaining eye contact with it.


    *Flash*


    Both dragons quickly fell to the ground and wobbled for a bit when trying to get back up. They should be blinded for about a good five seconds so seizing this chance, we changed our direction and headed into the forest.

    It has been ten minutes since we went into the woods. Both Dawn and Dusk can be seen circling high up in the sky, probably still looking for us.


    Taki alone left me and Lily together after a bit and went off somewhere into the woods. He is most probably scouting the area and setting up traps while Lily and I can only keep an eye on the twin dragons above us. The horses are also left with us, me holding the reins of Kuro while Lily holding onto the reins of the other horse. We are making sure that both horses also remain silent so that the dragons will not notice us.


    Strangely enough, Kuro is very calm, unlike Lily''s horse which is very angsty and walking around like any other animal would when they are under pressure. It most probably wanted to run away but thanks to Lily holding onto its rein, it was unable to do so. When I look at Kuro, he just looked back and nuzzled up against me. Even Lily is puzzled by Kuro''s behaviour.

    About ten minutes later, a rustling sound can be heard from on top of us.


    [Yo~ I''m back.]


    Taki called out to us when he suddenly drops down from the tree right next to us. Both Lily and I stare at him in shock of his sudden appearance. Is he a ninja or something.


    [What were you doing on top of the tree?]


    [It''s easier to find a good spot to set my trap from up there.]


    Taki said with crossed arms. And as I thought, he went around to set up traps. The next part will probably be me and Lily baiting the dragons to his trap.


    [With all the set-up done. Kalia, please attract their attention.]


    Taki said as he pointed towards the skies, to the two dragons that are still soaring above us.

    Lily said in a panic.


    [Even if you say that, how do we even know where did you set the traps?]

    When the two dragons got close enough, Taki threw a flash bomb towards them. When they are stunned by the flash bomb, I will use the opportunity to get a few hits in. However, this time, the dragons are smart enough to use their wings to block the flash from the bomb before it exploded. After they blocked the flash bomb, they gave a triumphant roar and look at us like they accomplished a great feat. Wow¡­ I didn''t know that dragons can be smug too.


    Anyways, it''s our cue to run. Turning around, I can see that Taki already moved quite a distance. Turning back, I can see a huge opened mouth with sharp teeth coming towards me. It is Dusk attempting to bite me.

    Before it can bite me, I estimated its arrival and kicked up when it got close enough for my hand to reach it. Flipping up, I put my right hand on the tip of its muzzle, using it as support before finally landing on its head.


    Phew¡­ That was close. I turn to Lily who is below me and gave her a thumbs up. Lily then gave me a nod before catching up with Taki.


    When Dusk finally realizes that I am on its head, it started shaking violently, trying to shake me off. Not wanting to lose my balance, I voluntarily jumped off its head. However, when I am in mid-air, I see a second mouth coming at me. This time, it is Dawn coming at me.


    Before it can reach me, I grab onto the tree branch that just went past me, using it as a pivot to swing me upwards and finally landing on the tree branch. Just at the right time when I landed on the tree branch, Dawn can be seen flying pass below me and hitting onto a tree afterwards. Having both of the dragons disoriented, I took the opportunity to catch up to Lily and Taki.


    Being in a dense forest, it is hard for the dragons to remain flying while chasing us so they landed and started chasing us by running on all fours.


    I already took out my weapons and am jumping from tree to tree. Lily is running below me as she can''t jump around the trees. Occasionally when I see an opening like tree branches obstructing the dragons'' visions or when they are moving through tight spaces, I will take the opportunity to slash them with my daggers even though my slashes look like they just did minor cuts on the dragons. Meanwhile, Lily just follows my lead and did an iai at their legs every time I engaged. Her iais seems to be dealing more damage then my slashes though. Shouldn''t my weapons be better than her''s?

    Taki shouted to me from a distance away. That is his signal to stop at where he is. I drop down from the trees to inform Lily that we will be stopping.


    When we are about to reach where Taki is, he threw another flash bomb at the dragons. Just like just now, the two dragons stopped and brought their wings forward to cover their eyes. However, the flash bomb that Taki threw was just a dummy for the dragons to block their vision. During that time, Taki took out a yellow stone. It shone for a bit and the earth below the dragons started caving in. Right after the two dragons dropped into the pitfall, Taki brought out a crossbow and shot an arrow on top of the hole. A huge net dispersed from the tip of the arrow, covering the pitfall with the dragons inside. And that''s not the end. Taki then shot a flaming arrow into the pitfall.

    Taki said as he walks towards us and held up his forearm forward for a bump, our after hunt handshake.

    Lily asked Taki, amazed at what he did. To be honest, I''m curious as to how he did that too. A pitfall with explosives in it, that sure is something new that was not in DHO. The arrow with the net too. The way he hunts really amazes me.


    [Oh, that''s actually quite simple. First I find a good spot, then used the magic tool to make a big hole, planted it with explosives and covered it up with earth magic. When the dragons landed on my trap, I used earth magic to lessen the soil below them and voil¨¤, weight pulled them down.]


    Taki said with a smug, satisfied with his own explanation.


    [Just to confirm, how much explosives did you plant in there.]


    [If compared to a barrel bomb, I planted explosives equal to the power of about twenty of them.]


    I sighed at Taki''s reply. That¡­ may be a bit of an overkill. I bet both Dawn and Dusk were burned to dust.

    I said while sheathing my weapons.

From within the whirlwind, something can be seen flying out of the pitfall. When the whirlwind finally disperses, Dawn can be seen hovering above the pitfall. It looks like it is heavily injured but something seems off about it. Its eyes have a red glow and there is this evil looking black aura leaking out of its body.


    When it saw us, it gave another roar, a roar so loud that I can''t help but cover my ears. Before any of us can do anything, it fired a whirlwind breath at us in a sweeping manner. All of us got swept away by the blast crushing onto a few trees before we landed. I can feel pain all over my body but I still forced myself to stand up. I am sure there are parts where I am bleeding as I can smell a heavy scent of blood and taste iron in my mouth. As this is my first time feeling such intense pain, fear slowly crept up inside me. What makes things worse is that Lily and Taki can be seen not far from me, also heavily injured. Furthermore, Lily seems to be knocked unconscious. Just what is this? I have never seen such a dragon like this before in the game. Are we really going to die like this?


    [That¡­ *cough* is a corrupted dragon. We might really be screwed this time.]


    Taki said with a smirk while staring at Dawn. Really? At a time like this, he still got the cheek to smile. He is already in a very bad shape, sitting up while using a tree to support his back.     Right at the same time when Dawn shot its breath, I swing down the pillar of fire towards Dawn with a war cry. At the moment where the whirlwind collided with the fire, it got absorbed into the fire turning into nothing. Dawn then got engulfed in the flames, crying out its last breath before being burnt into cinders. When the flame finally disperses, the roasted body of the once blue dragon collapsed onto the ground. After making sure that it is dead by staring at the corpse for a while, I literally saw white and collapsed to the ground. The fatigue from not having enough sleep is finally kicking in together with the fatigue from exhausting my mana.


    Still clinging to my bit of consciousness, I can feel a huge tremor like something huge landed beside me. I don''t even have the energy to turn my head to see what it is. The next thing I know, I can''t feel the ground anymore, it seems that I am lifted up into the air and my vision is filled with the orange of the setting Sun. After just a short while which felt like about fifteen seconds, I can feel the ground again.


    I am still trying to keep myself from fainting, afraid of what will happen if I lose consciousness. During that moment, the faint figure of a man with long silver hair dressed in a black mantle entered my vision. Seeing how his lips are moving, I tried focusing on hearing what that person is saying.


    [Looks like she is the one but it''s still not time yet.]


    From what he just said, it seems like he is talking to himself. A short moment later, the sound of someone running can be heard coming towards us. Instead of running, it sounds more like galloping.

On my right, there is Lily sleeping while clinging onto me. On my left, there is a girl that I have never seen before. She looks a bit younger than me, maybe fourteen? With long silver hair like mine but with purple highlights at the tips of her hair. She looks really cute trying to snuggle beside me while she is still sleeping. She has small horns growing out towards the back of her head from the top of her ears and a long white lizard tail with a purple glint protruding out from the end of her spine.

    Having a cute girl staring at me is actually making me nervous. About a minute later, her face suddenly brightens up, a drastic change from her lifeless expression from before.

    From being happy to see me awake turns into worry shortly. She looks sincerely worried about me. Seeing someone this cute so worried about me, my face can''t help but soften.

Since my injuries were not that bad to begin with, potions were enough for me to make a full recovery.

    Lily suddenly shouted halfway during her meal having come to a sudden realization. We are currently having breakfast prepared by Taki, a soup made by a mixture of ingredients like mushrooms, herbs, meatballs and some spices. Hearing Lily say that made me drop my spoon when it is already halfway up to my mouth.


    (Is it the same for the dragons in DHO when it was still a game?) < Is what I am thinking.


    [No worries over there, dragons that are intelligent and can turn into human form are what we call elder dragons. So normal dragons and wyverns to them are just like goblins and kobolds to humans in fantasy games.     Life on the road now is much easier than expected. With Taki around, the camp was set-up quickly with a nice shelter to cover us while we sleep. For Breakfast and dinner, we just ate light stuff like soup and bread while dinner was caught by Lily and then cooked by Taki.


    After having a nice warm meal every day, I used the Earth magic stone that Taki have to dig out a small hole in the ground, used my Endless Tide dagger to fill the hole up with water and finally, heating up the water with Eternal Flame dagger. A relaxing and proper bath every day while we are camping! This is the true use of my weapons!

    I repeated the word with doubt showing on my face. She most probably meant horse right? Since she was referring to Kuro when she said that.

    Strea asked in surprise. No matter how surprised she is, I don''t know what I don''t know.


    [Come to think of it, Kirin doesn''t show themselves to humanoids unless they judge them worthy. Anyways, look at Kuro, doesn''t he gives off a more dignified and wise feeling than that horse over there?]


    After mumbling to herself for a bit, Strea exclaimed while pointing at the horse Lily is riding. Now that she mentioned it, Kuro is indeed more calm and intelligent than Lily''s horse. I feel like he can understand what I am saying to him.

    Right after Strea said that, Kuro suddenly grew in size, almost two times bigger than before. Black scales started appearing on his supposedly fur covered skin while some part of his furs grew longer and thicker. Two large horns like that of a deer appeared on his head and a long pair of whiskers sprouted from the bottom of his nose. The way he looks now can only be called grand and mythical.


    After he finished his transformation, he gave a roar before coming over to nuzzle me. Meanwhile, Lily, Taki and I were already frozen due to shock.


    By the way, Kirin is not a monster that can be hunted in DHO. If you are lucky, a Kirin can be seen in the backgrounds while you are hunting just like in ancient folktales where they say you are really lucky if you get to see a Kirin. However, if you travelled to the place where you saw the Kirin, it will already be gone. And that is why the three of us are so shocked. Right now, we are seeing a Kirin up close!


    After recovering from our shock, Strea started telling us about Kirins when we resumed our journey. Of course, Kuro already reverted back to his horse form.

    With that thought, I followed my "sense" and got close to human territory. Before getting closer to their Kingdom, I changed into my horse form and continued following my "sense". Just at the right moment after my transformation is complete, I sensed some humans getting close to me. Okay, let''s just act like a normal horse and pretend to eat grass. A short moment later, three guys can be seen around me.


    [Hey guys, there is a horse over here!]


    [Oh~ It''s still pretty calm even when we are this close to it.]


    [It''s big and strong so I bet we can get a lot of money with it.]


    With that, I am brought back to the human capital. It''s not that I can''t run away but going to their capital have a higher chance of meeting that kind and innocent human.

    A short moment later, three people came out from the building, a young girl in kimono, a man in robes and a suspicious person with a hood covering her face. At first, I thought my "sense" is wrong as my "sense" is directing me towards the suspicious looking person. How can someone like that be kind and innocent? But at the moment I made eye contact with that person, I felt a spark in me.

    She smiled at me when we made eye contact. She is not only just beautiful, but I can also feel the kindness radiating around her.


    It seems that I will be travelling with the two girls so before the other horse is assigned to the hooded girl, I moved up to her and lowered my head in respect. This person is definitely someone fit to be my master. To my surprise, she suddenly patted my head. It looks like she mistook my respect for affection. That''s how I got the honour of having her as my rider. The kind and innocent girl''s name is Kalia.


    Just to be sure, I do not let anybody ride on me, only those that I deemed worthy.

    During the few days of travelling with Kalia, her sister, Lily and the other horse which I refer to as dumb horse, I gained a name from Kalia, my new master.The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.


    For us Kirins, getting a name is just like being knighted. The contract is established the moment a name is given. The name I received is ''Kuro''. A name that I will cherish for all my life. As for the benefits of the contract, I will know when my master needs me and most importantly, I will know when she is in danger. They will become part of my "sense" apart from the ability to locate her at all times.


    My master is as kind as I thought. Unlike most riders, she properly cared for me. She washes me, grooms me and even talks to me when we took breaks or resting for the night. She also takes care of that dumb horse sometimes but not as much as she cares for me.

    One day, when my master took a break during our journey to take a leak, my danger sensor suddenly activated. A short moment later, my master ran out from a bush towards me with several Axectors following behind her.


    She jumps onto me but got thrown off by an Axector that jumped on her. Before I can help her, she already kicked the Axector away. Being surrounded, master and her sister ran away, heading into the woods but when I am about to follow them, I noticed the dumb horse actually ran towards the opposite direction! I got no choice but to follow and protect that dumb horse since it carried Lily''s belongings. I believe my master can handle those Axectors herself since my danger sensor is not sounding off and I can always find her later after I caught up with that dumb horse. Seriously, what a burden.

    When I am finding my way back to master after calming down that dumb horse, I ran into a human man dressed in all black. That man stopped me and the dumb horse following behind me and got us tied to a tree bark. Ugh¡­ How am I going to find my master now? I had a choice to break free using my powers but that will risk my identity being exposed.


    As time passes and when the Sun is setting, I can feel my master''s presence getting closer and closer to me.


    And when night came, the man that tied me to the tree brought along master to see me. I can''t help but neigh and move over to nuzzle her when she got close enough.


    It seems that the man that tied me to the tree is Taki, the person that my master was supposed to find.

    The next day when we arrived at the village, the dumb horse and I were left at the stable. I will miss my master but since she will be coming back to get me by evening, I do not really mind and started to laze around as usual.

    When evening came, my master came back for me and the dumb horse but just when we were about to leave the village, a large bell sounded.


    Two dragons can be seen shortly after the bell rang. They flew in the sky for a while and suddenly, one of them started diving towards my master.


    Before the dragon can reach my master, Taki managed to stop it and we used the chance to run out of the village and then into the forest.

    We are now waiting for Taki in the forest. And as always, being the dumb horse it is, the dumb horse is angsty and keeps moving around, afraid of the two dragons in the sky that are still looking for us.


    When Taki came back, they tied me and the dumb horse to a tree and went off with the dragons after attracting their attention. I had no choice but to wait.


    After a while, I heard a large explosion and the cries of the dragons. Looks like my master managed to defeat them. However, a short moment later, my danger sensor suddenly went haywire. Suddenly, a huge pillar of falling flames can be seen even when I am quite far away from it. I must get to my master!


    I break off the rope tying me to the tree and went full speed towards my master. On my way towards my master, a girl with silver hair like my master suddenly appeared beside me, she is not a human but a dragon, a dragon Princess! She urges me to bring her along. Judging that she had no ill will, I brought her along to find my master.


    When we finally managed to find my master, I can see another dragon flying away in a distance. More concerned about my master, I ignored it.


    Shortly, Taki and Lily came over so we proceeded to find a place to let my master recover before going back for the dumb horse.

    A few days later, after master woke up, we continued our journey. The dragon Princess already got close to my master and her sister during that short amount of time.

 Ch27 - I am back!

    Ch27 - I am back!


    I still can''t believe that my horse is a Kirin all along. But that did explain why he was so calm even during dragon attacks. Even though I found out what Kuro really is, I still treat him the same as I did before. In fact, I feel proud of him. It''s like the feeling of a parent feeling proud of their child when they achieve a gold medal or something.


    This few days when we are taking a break from travelling, I will ride Kuro in his real form and just walk around the forest. The view is magnificent as Kuro is really tall and not to mention the indescribable feeling of riding a Kirin. Sometimes, Lily and Strea will come along with me for a ride with Kuro but not Taki. For some reason, Kuro doesn''t let Taki ride on him. It will just move away if Taki tries to get on top of him.


    [Don''t worry Taki, I''m sure Kuro will let you ride him one day.]


    I said, trying to comfort the depressed Taki who did not get to ride a Kirin.


    The funny thing is, after Kuro first revealed his identity, Lily''s horse had been acting weirdly towards Kuro. There are times when you can see Lily''s horse prostrating itself in front of Kuro. What''s more, it seems to have become braver with Kuro around. During these occasions, Kuro will just shake his head and walks away. Those were some weird interactions I had no idea what was happening. Because of its attachment to Kuro, I decided to name it as well. His name shall be Charo because he is brown.

    As for baths, after that one time I bathed with Strea and Lily, I had been bathing alone. My heart will not be able to take any more of those moments where I can see girls naked. There are times when they tried to join me when I am bathing but I immediately got out when they entered the baths. Now I can''t even take my time to enjoy my baths¡­

    The last notable thing that I did during our journey is me playing with the magic stones that Taki salvaged from Dawn and Dusk. It is amazing how both of their magic stones need to be together for them to activate. However, no matter how much mana I poured in them, the most they can do is blowing a gentle breeze around it.


    Lily then explained that the magic stones must be used with a magic tool or crafted into armour or weapon made from the monster''s materials for them to be activated in their fullest potential.

    Throughout our journey, we remained alert and vigilant to our surroundings as we are still not sure if I am still targeted by the dragons. However, nothing really happened all the way until we reached Distodia.

    We are finally back!


    It was already evening when the walls of Distodia came into our view. Because Taki had to walk, it took us nine days to travel from the cave to Distodia. But since I can bath whenever I want, I did not really mind the long travel.


    When we are getting close to the city gate of Distodia, Strea and I got off Kuro while Lily also got off Charo as well and we started walking towards the gate with Taki following behind us.     Unlike the previous time, I presented my guild card to the gate guards and was easily let in. Back then, before I left Distodia to look for Taki, Jun already registered me as a hunter in the guild as their card can be used as an identification. Unlike the previous time when I first came with Rufus-san and Thomas-san, I had to explain my reason for entering and pay an entrance fee. Luckily Rufus-san and Thomas-san helped me out with the explanations.

    We heard after Lily and I got in. Apparently, Strea and Taki were stopped as they do not have an identification with them. Back then in Yokke village, we had the letter that Jun gave us to bring all of us in without an identification so we totally forgot about that. We could have at least registered Taki back in Yokke village.

    Lily straightforwardly said to the guards and hands them the entrance fee for both Strea and Taki.

    [Yes, the dragon kingdom. I was sent here, to the human capital by my father, the King of dragons, to find the dragon priestess and Taki is here with me as my escort. We need the help of both the hero and dragon priestess to defeat the Dark dragon lord, Chronium.]


    [Yes, just as Strea said. I was actually transported to this world three years ago near the dragon kingdom, Riucornia.]


    [Three years?! That is even longer than Jun-niisan!]


    [E-hem¡­ Let me finish¡­ Where am I? Oh right. When I was walking blindly around the borders of Riucornia, an elder dragon I had never seen before appeared in front of me.     Strea said as she handed Taki a cup of water. He thanked Strea and gulped down the cup of water in one go.


    [Alright, continuing from my stay in Riucornia, I found out a lot of things that I did not expect. Unlike the game DHO, there is a deeper history behind humans and dragons in this world.


    The story goes like, long looong ago humans and dragons were living together in peace and harmony.


    However, the Dark dragon lord, Chronium appeared about three hundred years ago and plunged the world in chaos.


    At first, the humans and dragons were fighting Chronium and his corrupted dragon army together.


    However, due to fear, the humans betrayed the dragons. The humans were afraid of the dragons because the dragons are from the same race as the Dark dragon lord.


    The humans then started slaying any dragons that came into their territories. Because of that, the dragons were forced to fight with Chronium by themselves for three hundred years.


    Until recently, just a bit before I met the prince, the dragon shaman made a revelation that a hero and a dragon priestess will soon be summoned into this world and they will be the key to winning this long war.


    But, the problem is, both of them will be in the human territories. And that was when I conveniently appeared in front of them. The favour that they requested from me is to escort Istrea into the human kingdoms to find the dragon priestess. The only person that can identify and locate the dragon priestess is the dragon princess, which is Istrea over here.]


    [Well¡­ Instead of locating, it is more like I can feel her presence and I only started feeling it a few weeks ago. That''s the reason why Taki and I went to the human village where we met Kalia-nee and Lily-nee. The shaman said that I will know when I see her but I don''t even know how that works.]

    [If what you said is true, why did I not find any records in the two years I am here? Not a single thing about the past and history about humans and dragons coexisting.]


    Jun asked Taki with doubt on his face.


    [About that, I was quite surprised too. The only thing that came to my mind is that the humans erased the records themselves so that no one will find out that they were the ones that betrayed the dragons, that they were the ones that discriminated the dragons because of the Dark dragon lord.]


    Taki replied with a serious face, believing that his theory is the truth.


    [That''s right! Because of¡­ Because of the humans, we dragons needed to fight against the Dark dragon lord by ourselves for so long. We are already nearing our limit¡­ The only hope we have now of winning is to find the hero and the dragon priestess!]


    Strea cried out as she started sobbing. It seems like she broke down after being reminded of the situation her home is currently in and Taki''s theory became the trigger for her outburst. Seeing such a young girl carrying the burden of her entire kingdom, I can''t help but feel ashamed for what the humans have done. Looks like the rest of us also felt the same as Lily already teared up while Jun and Seria had this hard expression on their face.


    [It''s alright Strea, it''s alright.]


    I said as I walked over to Strea and embraced her.


    [It''s alright now. We will do whatever we can to help you.]


    I said as I slowly stroke her head, trying to calm her down. While looking at us, Taki gave a grieved expression.


    [It''s not like I hate humans or anything because of this, I just felt ashamed for the behaviour of the humans in the past. With that, I will like to request for all of your assistance to help the Dragon kingdom. The reason I am telling you guys all this is because I believe that we are most probably the strongest party in DHO, with us around we may have a higher chance of winning.]


    Taki requested with a sincere bow.

    I replied Taki with a firm expression, with Strea still in my embrace. It looks like she had calmed down but there are still tears welling up in the corners of her eyes.


    [Of course I am in as well!]


    Lily cried out as she ran towards me and Strea with her arms stretched out.


    [I do not really know about dragons but after seeing such a cute girl like Istrea, I don''t think they''re bad at all. Of course I am willing to help.]


    Seria said as she walked over to us and gave a pat on Strea''s head. With that, we all shifted our gaze to Jun who had a troubled expression with his hand on his chin. It seems that already became his default pose as he had been thinking for a while now since Taki''s explanation. It took him a while to notice our gaze.


    [What? Of course I''m in too.]


    Jun awkwardly replied to our stern gazes.


    [I am just thinking about the number of dragons I killed this past two years¡­ If there are some of them that were like Istrea¡­ I¡­]


    When Jun said that, Seria looked shocked when she realized what Jun meant. I believe I made almost the same expression back then when I dropped the spoon.


    [As I explained before to Kalia and Liliane, intelligent dragons that can turn into human form are only the elder dragons. Dragons and wyverns to them are just like goblins and kobolds to us humans. And something that I did not explain before, the elder dragons refer to themselves as Dragonians instead.]


    Taki explained to Jun and Seria the way he did for me and Lily but with a piece of extra information. Dragonians sure sounds better than elder dragon as I am sure that not all Dragonians are old enough to be called an elder, like Strea.


    [I see¡­ I only encountered three elder dragons in the two years I am here. But all three of them looked like they were in a berserk state, with a black aura surrounding them. They don''t seem like they were able to talk or be reasoned with. Are they the corrupted dragons that you talked about before?]


    Wait¡­ Jun actually encountered three corrupted elder dragons before?! I already had a hard time defeating one corrupted dragon. I wonder how much stronger will an elder dragon get if it got corrupted.This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.

    After listening to Taki''s explanation, Jun gave a short reply and started thinking again. For me, I am just glad that corrupted elder dragons will not get any stronger.


    While Jun is still deep in thought, I decided to ask Taki something that had been weighing on my mind.


    [Taki¡­ I think¡­ I think I might have had killed a sane Dragonian¡­ I fought a Steela before when I just came into this world and I don''t think that it''s corrupted. There was no black aura¡­]


    I mumbled softly while trying to avoid eye contact with Taki.

    [That''s right! Kalia! I almost forgot! The Steela that you defeated before went missing just a few days after you left. We tried searching for it but to no avail.]


    Jun interrupted before Taki can say anything else.

    Now that I think back about it, there was no blood so there is a chance that the Steela is still alive. That means that I did not kill anyone!


    [Hey guys, there are also dragons that are not corrupted serving the Dark dragon lord and the only Steela left in this world... is currently serving the Dark dragon lord as one of his generals.]

    Lily and I leaked out a dumb sound. I actually fought someone that important?! Even Jun looked shocked while Seria had been speechless for a while now.

    Taki asked me with a worried face. My feelings must have leaked out from my face for Taki to start worrying about me.

    I squeezed out a reply. Right after, Jun came over and gave me a shoulder pat while Lily hugged me from behind. It seems that they know what I was thinking about.

    Lily whispered beside my ear. For some reason, I was unable to hold back my feelings and started crying again. I turned over to Lily to hug her back. I feel that I had been crying a lot lately. Both Lily and Jun looked surprised by my reaction but I do not care. This past few weeks had been truly hard on me. Getting thrown into the world of DHO, turning into a real girl, getting attacked by dinosaurs and dragons and almost dying¡­ While thinking about all this, my stomach suddenly started cramping. With my legs losing their strength due to pain, I started falling until my butt touched the floor, with one hand holding onto my stomach while my other hand grasping tightly onto Lily.

    I managed to squeeze out while gasping heavily for air. My vision became blurry and before I lose consciousness due to the pain, I felt my pants getting wet.

    Ugh¡­ I groaned as dizziness strikes me when waking up. After looking around, I noticed that I am on the bed in an unfamiliar room. I can see that it is already morning from the sunlight shining in through the window. My entire body feels sluggish and I don''t feel like waking up at all. However much I adjust myself on the bed, I can''t seem to get myself into a comfortable position. Especially, when there is a wet feeling around my crotch. Did I wet the bed?!


    In a state of panic, I flip up my blanket. Weird¡­ I don''t see any wet spot but I can still feel the wet feeling around my crotch. Curious as to what is causing that feeling, I took off my pants.

    I ran as fast as I could into Onee-chan''s room right after I heard her shout and when I entered the room, I can see a teary faced Onee-chan sitting on the bed.

    The way she is acting now is really cute but what she said shocked me. What exactly happened to her to make her think that she is dying? I quickly ran over to her and hugged her, with one hand stroking her head.

    I said while trying to calm her down.


    [What happened? What makes you think that you are dying?]


    I asked her, worried that there is something that might actually be bothering her.


    [I am bleeding! A lot!]


    She said as she pointed at her crotch. Ohhh¡­ So that''s what this is about. She must have not realised that she is having her period now. Yes, period, and probably her first. When she fainted yesterday, everyone went into a state of panic. And when we found out that it was just her period, we became more relieved. Onee-chan had always been bad at dealing with pain so she must have had fainted because of the pain from the cramp. We already dealt with the aftermath of yesterday''s scene and I personally put on a padding on for onee-chan myself. However, seeing her being so serious with teary eyes made me unable to laugh at her for not knowing something so simple.


    [Onee-chan, don''t worry. You are not dying.]


    After I said that, she seems to have calmed down a bit.


    [It''s just your period.]


    I said to her with a smile.

The pain reminded me about what Lily told me and I must have had fainted due to the shock. I gave up trying to get up and just lied down on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. A while later, I can feel my eyes getting wet and tears started dripping down from my face. I then quickly lift up my right arm to cover my eyes, trying to hide my tears away.


    What am I supposed to do now? I feel like I am becoming more and more like a real girl. If I lose even my last bit of manliness, how will I ever return to being a man again? And now, with this happening, it''s like reality trying to slap me in the face, forcing me to be aware that I am a girl now.


    Never have I thought that wanting to make and see a cute girl in a game will lead to me becoming the girl herself. Thinking about all this is making me feel even more depressed.

    Three different voices called out to me from the direction of the door. I shifted my head to the side to take a peek at who it is at the entrance. As expected, it is Lily, Strea and Seria. After confirming who it is, I shifted my head back and ignored them. The pain of my cramp is so unbearable that I can''t be bothered about anything else right now.

Since I am a girl now, I had no choice but to slowly process everything into my head. It will be bad if I do not know what to do when my period starts and they are not around me at the time. Learning about all this is really giving me a headache. They taught me things like, how I need to keep track of my menstrual cycle, how I need to prepare and use a sanitary pad or tampon, how to deal with cramps and stuff.


    The most dreaded information is that the second period will come in about twenty-one to forty days after my first period ends and it may be heavier than the first. This made me really not look forward to having my next period. Hopefully, I can return to being a man by then. For now, I will have to deal with this stupid cramp for about another five days.

    It had been four days since Kalia started her period. She was mostly stuck in bed due to her cramps but getting better recently. She can now walk around more than before.


    Seeing her go through her period is such a weird feeling. Imagine you have a guy friend that is going through his period... Weird right? I mean¡­ I don''t have the experience to help Kalia out too. Only her sister Lily can help her in this kind of situation.


    During the past four days when Kalia was stuck in bed, I had been looking through the documents and data of the players that were transported into this world. There are about a hundred and fifty players that were transported into this world registered with the guild. However, less than half of them remained as a hunter.


    As citizens from a peaceful world, most of them are scared of getting hurt and dying. So, they moved on to do different jobs throughout the world of DHO. The modernisation of this world is also thanks to them so no one can say that they are not contributing.


    I am looking through all their documents to see if there are any individual that might be the hero or the dragon priestess. However, no matter how much I look through, the only ones that stand out are the six players that reached S rank, which includes me, Seria and Lily.


    With that being the case, I arranged for all S rank hunters to gather in Distodia for a meeting. There are a total of eleven S rank hunters with six of us being players which includes me, and seven of us being a guild master, which also includes me. The meeting will be held in another three weeks as there are a few of them coming from quite far away. One of them will even be coming from an offshore island so there is no choice but to wait patiently.


    [Jun! Are you busy?]


    Kalia called out while I was reading some documents about recent dragon sightings. Weirdly, from the high rate of dragon sightings around Distodia a few weeks ago dropped down to none at all. There were only reports on wyverns, dinosaurs and some other magic beasts, no dragons. Since Kalia came over here, I decided to continue reading the documents later.

    I said as I closed the file I was holding and placed it on top of the desk in front of me before walking towards the door where Kalia is.

    I asked, concerned about how she is feeling. Because of Kalia''s condition, I had been working at home these past few days in case she needs me. Since the day after Taki explained everything to us, Kalia, Lily and Istrea had been staying with me in my house while Taki is staying over at Seria''s. As for the guild, Lucas will be handling the things there while I am away and sending me all the documents I need to go through every day after the guild closes.

    I said after finishing my dinner. With me at the dining table now are Kalia-nee, Lily-nee, Seria-nee, Jun-nii and Taki.


    Lily-nee''s cooking is very delicious and I like it very much. However, it''s not fair that she was the only one that got to bath with Kalia-nee this past few days. She just said that Kalia-nee is having her period so it will be difficult for her to bath alone and she alone will help Kalia-nee with her bath.


    As Kalia-nee is feeling better now, Seria-nee and I devised a plan to invade Kalia-nee when she is bathing later. That''s the reason why I ate faster than usual today, to prepare for the invasion later with Seria-nee. With that, I looked over to Seria-nee who also finished her dinner. After she winked at me, we moved off together, acting like everything is normal.

    Seria-nee said as she stripped Kalia-nee off her towel in one fell swoop and hugged her from behind.

    The embarrassed look on Kalia-nee intensified when being held by Seria-nee. I can see her whole shapely naked figure when she is being held like that by Seria-nee.     I had never once seen Kalia-nee fully naked before! Back when we first bathed together, she was already soaking in the water so I didn''t see, and when she got out, she immediately wrapped a towel around herself! That repeated for all the attempts I tried to bath with her when we were travelling.


    I need to tell Taki that I found the dragon priestess immediately.


    With that, I dashed out of the bathroom, leaving everyone dumbfounded.

    After declaring something shocking, Strea immediately dashed out of the bathroom while repeatedly calling out for Taki.

Shocked by her sudden question, I was left speechless, unable to reply to her and that made her even more disappointed when she noticed how I am reacting. Seeing her like this made me feel like I did something wrong but I really think that I am not fit to be the dragon priestess...


    Just when the mood in the living room is down, Lily came to my side and whispered into my ear.
