《Blue Soul》 Prologue Prologue The sky was dark that night. And the only light we had was the 3 moons shining brightly on us in the mountain peak of Mt. Dread. The mountain was rich in gold and other minerals. But the dragion guarding it was hoarding it to itself. Aside from that, the said dragon was eating the farmers¡¯ cows. So the townspeople decided to post a quest for it to be slain. And that¡¯s how we got into this situation¡.. ¡. .. . The 80 ft¡¯ dragon roared at us. ¡°This is our first dragon slaying quest. Are you scared?¡± Gallen asked me. His smile can still be seen underneath his helm. I replied with an awkward smile. ¡°Just cast your spell behind my shield and you will be fine.¡± He said. ¡°And I have you have me here from the back.¡± Franzine, the high elf ranger said as she loaded her crossbow with her anti-dragon arrows that I casted spell earlier on. And so, I did. I trusted my party. Whilst casting my spell, he parried the dragon¡¯s tail with his huge shield. Gallen withstood the blow, as he kept his feet at the ground. He did not move and inch. Franzine used this opportunity to rapidly barrage the dragon with her crossbow. She hits its head as she jumped away from it. The dragon breathed fire towards her. The ranger can¡¯t get away from the flames that is about to toast her alive as she is in mid-air. Gallen quickly threw his shield toward the high elf, hitting her stomach but saving her from the flames. Franzine threw up blood as she got both of her feet at the ground. ¡°Is that all you got, Gallen? I guess humans really do get old quickly.¡± Franzine laughed as she threw the shield back at Gallen. ¡°I¡¯m only 27. I¡¯m still on my prime, mind you.¡±Gallen said as he caught his shield. ¡°Meteor Fall!¡± I exclaimed. The sky has opened and the summoned meteors by my spell fell one by one. I knew that this spell would be very effective because of the dragon¡¯s size. Bathing on falling meteors that I summoned, the dragon roared from pain. The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation. Dust and silence covered the whole mountain peak. ¡°Did that killed it?¡± Gallen asked. Then the dragon flapped its wings and flew on the air. I ran out of mana on that spell. I took a mana potion on my bag, but the gust of wind made me lose my grip as it fell on the ground, the bottle broke as the potion watered the grass on the mountain¡¯s peak. ¡°That was my last potion.¡± I shouted because of the loud noise that the dragon¡¯s gust was making. ¡°My arrows won¡¯t work on this wind.¡± Franzine said. ¡°But my sword will.¡± Gallen jumped against the wind, his holy sword in hand. He screamed and aimed for the head. The dragon flew towards him, its feet first. It pinned him down the ground, claws gripped tightly on Gallen¡¯s body. He shouted in pain as he felt the dragon¡¯s weight above him. ¡°NOOOOOO!!!!¡± I casted the only instant spell that I know, Fire Ball towards the dragon. But as expected, I only wasted the few mana left on my body with the fireballs that I continuously threw just to get the dragon¡¯s attention on me. But the dragon didn¡¯t mind me nor the fire balls. ¡°Get off of him!¡± Franzine fired her arrows on the dragon. The dragon replied with its tail, throwing her on the ground killing her. ¡°STOP THIS!!!¡± I screamed. The dragon then blew flames on Gallen, burning him alive. Gallen, the one that I loved and Franzine, my best friend¡. They died. And all I did was watch it happen. ... .. . ¡°Elaiza, wake up.¡± A faint voice said. ¡°You¡¯re the one who took the mission on the pub and yet you¡¯re the one who¡¯s still sleeping. Breakfast is ready.¡± ¡°Did you just say ¡®breakfast?¡¯¡± I jumped off my bed as I forgot the bad dream that I just had. ¡°Geez, Xinthia might eat everything on the table, ya know.¡± The half dwarf and half high elf said. ¡°No fair, Gretz.¡± I ran towards the dining table just to see the human eating almost all of the food on MY dining table. ¡°Fuck you Xinthia, save some for me, you lousy ranger.¡± I said as I sat next to her and started eating my share of pancakes. ¡°The first dragon that wakes up early eats the fresh meat first.¡± Xinthia said as she devoured her strawberry drizzled pancakes. ¡°Hey, no fighting over the food that I made. I still have some more where that came from.¡± Gretzel said. ¡°You guys know what; I just had a bad dream.¡± I said. ¡°And I forgot about it when I tasted Gretzel¡¯s pancake.¡± Gretzel and Xithia smiled at me. ¡°Don¡¯t worry, we won¡¯t leave you. Though this human might die in a few decades.¡± Gretzel smiled. ¡°Yeah, human¡¯s life expectancy is just 80 years or something. But yea, you¡¯ll have me for a few years more.¡± Xinthia said. ¡°So you still have, what, like 20 years more?¡± Gretzel teased. ¡°Excuse me, I¡¯m only 18.¡± Xinthia exclaimed. ¡°That¡¯s what you said when we first met. And that¡¯s like, 10 years ago!¡± ¡°FUCK OFF YOU MIDGET ELF. YOU¡¯RE SO SMALL YOU¡¯RE ONLY HALF ON A HIGH ELF!¡± Xinthia laughed at her own joke. ¡°OH YEAH, AT LEAST I LOOK LIKE 12 YEARS OLD EVEN THOUGH I¡¯M ONLY ON MY 30¡¯S!¡± This is my new party now. This is my new life. Except that I¡¯m not an adventurer anymore¡. I¡¯m a mercenary. i ¡°Why are there so many slimes on a castle?¡± I just had to ask as I slash a slime while another one appears out of nowhere. ¡°Maybe they are short on people? And yeah, I think, just as like you Dark Elves, these Demons are quite extinct ever since the peace treaty of 89¡¯.¡± The Half-Dwarf-Half-High-Elf named Gretzel said as she hides behind me and my great sword as she has become lazy over the decades. I guess it¡¯s kinda my fault for her growing up that way. Well, technically, she didn¡¯t grow up. She¡¯s still 4¡¯2. ¡°Somewhat I feel like you¡¯re saying something bad about me even though you¡¯re not saying anything.¡± The little blonde bitch-witch added. Then an arrow flew past her hat, its eyes closed as it almost hit itself. ¡°FUCK OFF, HUMAN!! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THIS FUCKING HAT COST!?!?!¡± The not-so-high-elf said. ¡°AND STOP THE HEIGHT JOKES YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT! I KNOW WHAT YOU¡¯RE TYPING ABOUT ME! DON¡¯T MAKE ME BREAK THE FOURTH WALL YOU FUCKING CUNT!!¡± ¡°Heyy, don¡¯t pick on the writer. He is just writing how he imagined how you would be.¡± Xinthia the human said with her lovely voice. Her long hair fluttered in the air as she calmly and elegantly stretches her bow. ¡°Arrow Creation.¡± ¡°WHY THE FUCK IS HE WRITING GOOD THINGS ABOUT YOU!! AND HE¡¯S MAKING YOU LOOK SO BEAUTIFUL!! DAMN I¡¯M OUTTA HERE!!¡± Said Gretzel. As she was walking towards the exit of the room, she bumped into a giant pink slime. ¡°Oh dragons.¡± She exclaimed. The former Long Eared Assassin of The Dark Elven Village ran towards me. "ELAIZAAAAAA HELP MWEEEEEHHHHH!!!!" Tears in her eyes were dropping non-stop. I told her so many times that she should learn no cast spells. I ran towards her, sword in hand. But before I even get to her, I was too late as she got gulped by the Slime Boss. I opened a portal to my basement where I place all of my swords and placed back my Elder Great Sword and took the Katana Of Lighting which I bought like¡. a century ago from my great-great-great-great great grandson Elshore for a very cheap price. Or was it my great-great-great-great grandson Illuminous? I forgot already. Being old sure is tough. ¡°Lightning Strike!¡± I shouted as I slashed the slime with lightning. It¡¯s kind of a high end spell that this sword provides but it consumes too much mana. But the damage is what really counts. The Slime Boss died receiving the spell. ¡°Gretzel? Are you okay?¡± I approached the monster¡¯s dead body and slashed it gently, opening it¡¯s stomach. The bitch-witch appeared. ¡°If you think that being covered in slime is ¡®okay¡¯ then I guess I am.¡± I opened a portal to her room. ¡°Change your clothes and maybe take a bath.¡± ¡°Sure sure. Just leave the portal open.¡± ¡°I will need some mana replenishing cake okay. I think I still have two of those on the fridge.¡± ¡°Make that one.¡± The one-eyed ranger said as she smiled awkwardly. ¡°Okay, what the fuck.¡± ¡°Make that zero, kekeke.¡± Gretzel smirked. ¡°B-But¡ I have my name written on the label¡.¡± ¡°And it also said ¡®Do not touch¡¯.¡± Xinthia said as she rubbed salt on my worm-like skin. ¡°Jeez. As if opening a portal is an easy task. You need tons of mana for that.¡± ¡°But don¡¯t Dark Elves have tons of mana.¡± Xinthia the human said. ¡°Exactly.¡± I said as I took the mana potion that I placed on my skirt pocket. Xinthia then took what she can from the bodies of the slime¡¯s that can be sold and placed it on our stash basement that I opened through my portal. And not so long after that, Gretzel came back to join us. A slice of cake placed on a small plate in-hand. ¡°H-Here you go. It¡¯s not like I rushed taking a bath and changing my clothes just to buy you a piece of mana replenishing cake at your favorite potion/bakeshop near the smiths where your great-great-great-great-great-great-great granddaughter works.¡± She then became flushed red as I just stared at her. The face on her hat is somewhat smiling like that of a cat as always. ¡°True story.¡± She added as she puffed her small breast not befitting for a 35 year-old girl. ¡°Thank you, Gretzel.¡± I smiled. If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. ¡°Hmp! You better remember this!¡± ¡°Of course.¡± I smiled and happily ate the cake. Then, there came a familiar flash. Xinthia took a group photo of us. As always. ¡°This goes to my adventure compilation blog. Hehehe¡¡± Xinthia muttered to herself. Xinthia likes to take photos and put it on her Instaham. A lot of mercenaries and adventurers actually follows her and her blog on our adventures and her ¡°Way of the Arrow¡±. Except that she¡¯s actually a better swordsman than her behind a bow. After eating the cake that Gretzel bought for me, we continued our mission. More slimes but much of a higher caliber were waiting for us on the next floor. Actually, they aren¡¯t that much of an opponent for us. But for normal humans, they are hard to deal. ¡°This party¡.¡± Gretzel said as she went near on the deceased party. The party of five consisted of a Paladin, A female Knight, two Wizards and a Reverend. ¡°They didn¡¯t get lucky.¡± I said. I opened a portal to the adventurer¡¯s guild in Henvrinchtein Oulm. ¡°I think you guys might know these people.¡± ¡°Elaiza of the Death Mountain!!¡± The adventurers exclaimed. ¡°Yes, yes, the one who defeated the dragon on Mt. Dread singlehandedly, blah blah. Just take these adventurers to their families and tell them how brave they were in Hell¡¯s Castle where they fought against a hundred demons. Ciao.¡± I said as I entered the portal back to the castle while Xinthia carried the fallen adventurers on the guild. I closed the portal. ¡°Why did you have to lie?¡± Gretzel said as she is lightning the way with the flames in her hand just because she forgot to buy a torch, thinking it was a hassle because she can just use her flame spell. So much for mana reservation. I think she forgot how much a mana potion cost. ¡°Adventurers lives and dies for glory. Who am I to take that away from them? Even if it¡¯s a lie, I think they deserve a better death from slimes. I don¡¯t want them to be mocked up. You know humans, they think all slimes are the same.¡± Somewhat, the little witch has her eyes sparkling on me for a while and stopped speaking as if thinking of something. ¡°As expected of Elaize of the Death Mountain.¡± Xinthia said. I stared at her with my dead eyes. I hate that title. And after a long walk towards a dark stairway came an elegant wooden door. I opened it slowly. And there it was. A handsome demon sitting on a sofa, reading a book near the fireplace with a coffee on the table greeted us. ¡°Welcome¡ I guess.¡± He said. ¡°Thank... you.¡± Xinthia said shyly. Covering her red face. ¡°I CALL DIBS!!¡± I exclaimed. ¡°Awwww¡¡± Xinthia said. ¡°Just kidding.¡± I smiled. ¡°Want some coffee?¡± The handsome demon said as he raised his cup elegantly. I examined the room once again. It was a small study filled with books all around. There were tons of books piled up neatly just about everywhere. And his windows were like a huge door. I went towards it slowly and saw the vast ocean. It was¡ ¡°Beautiful, isn¡¯t it?¡± He said without lifting his eyes off his book as if it were much more interesting than the three people who decided to raid his home for money. ¡°I always loved that view. My father also loved that view. And so was my mother.¡± ¡°I see.¡± I said as I don¡¯t know what to say. ¡°Where are they now¡?¡± Xinthia shyly asked. ¡°Oh, they¡¯re traveling Ather right now. They retired.. They sent me this picture just this morning.¡± The handsome demon took his phone from his pocket and showed it to us. ¡°Oh, the Jazmine Lake.¡± Gretzel said and then she sipped her coffee as he leaned closer to the demon. ¡°I heard that the fish that can be caught there tastes good.¡± ¡°Yes. Dad said that he sent me a package. I think it will arrive tomorrow.¡± He said. ¡°Mom said it¡¯s a surprise but I think it¡¯s the fish that they caught. My sister loves fish.¡± ¡°And this sister of yours¡ she is now the Queen of this castle?¡± I asked. ¡°Yes. If you after the head of this castle, it is not me. I will not fight you, nor will I help my sister fight you.¡± He said as he sipped his coffee again. ¡°Can I¡¡± Xinthia said, trying to find the courage to say what¡¯s on her chest. ¡°Can you what..?¡± ¡°Nevermind!!!¡± She ran towards the door towards the next stairway. ¡°Hey, atleast let me finish my coffee!!¡± Gretzel said. ¡°Okay, I¡¯ll wait for you.¡± I said. Suddenly, my past life flashed back once again. I was standing on a beach with the girl I used to like back in high school. Okay, okay wait I guess I¡¯ll have to explain this. ¡.. ¡ .. . This story is an isekai. You know, where most of the anime protagonists get hit by a truck and the gets teleported to a different dimension. Except that I went to a spiritual advisor to bring the girl that I love back. Because Vanilla died from her enlarged heart. Yes, I used to be a boy. The spiritual advisor charged me for like a thousand pesos. So I had to steal my parents money just to pay him. I didn¡¯t care if it was a scam. I just want to stare at the ocean once again like we did that summer camp. And thus, the ritual started. The spiritual advisor said that Vanilla was already reborned to a different dimension. And yes, we are soulmates. If I just die right now, I will be reborn to the place where she is now. Although, my memories would reset. It actually sounded really crazy and scammish. But he said that he could just reborn my soul there without me dying. And I could easily swap myself from this world to the other world while I¡¯m sleeping. Which I did. And here I am now. Except that my original self is dead and that I am a 998 year-old Dark-Elf here. Also, Vanilla already died here in this world. She was Gallen, the person who I had my only child with. I have read a million of grimoires but none had the spell where I could switch to other dimensions. The only thing that I can do with dimensions is shifting it and turning back into time. Although turning back into time was illegal. And needs ton shits of mana. So I never bothered. How did I knew that Vanilla was Gallen, you asked? They had the same face as I had the same face before I got to this world. ¡. ¡ .. . ¡°This is it.¡± Gretzel said as she placed her small hands on the huge door infront of us. Xinthia silently opened it. And there she was. Sitting on her throne with a glass filled with red liquid. ¡°Welcome, adventurers.¡± She had a golden crown on top of her golden hair. Her red dress was beautiful as her. ¡°We ain¡¯t no adventurers!!¡± Gretzel exclaimed. ¡°We are mercenaries.¡± I said as I did my very cute and unique pose. ¡°I miss my cats¡¡± Xinthia said. ii ¡°Though we met a few adventurers on the first¡ or was it the third floor¡? They were kind of a rude bunch.¡± I said as I scratched my head. ¡°They weren¡¯t rude!¡± Gretzel said, hitting me with her small star-shaped God item wand; Star Destroyer that my master gave to me before. It kinda hurts actually, being hit by a motherfucking God item. ¡°They were dead, eaten by a group of dragon fucking slimes from hell!¡± ¡°And thanks to your freeze spell earlier, they taste good with the strawberry syrup that Elaiza has.¡± Xinthia said, eating the frozen baby slimes on a stick that she poured the said syrup on. Gretzel took a bite on Xinthia¡¯s stick. ¡°Frozen slimes with strawberry syrup¡ this will fucking sell on the capital!!¡± Gretzel exclaimed. ¡°What about some mayo syrup?¡± I opened a portal to the fridge. ¡°Here it is¡ Charan!¡± I smiled. ¡°But Elaiza¡ that¡¯s a dildo.¡± Xinthia said as she walked towards me. ¡°No, you just shake it like this.¡± I said as I shook the dick mayonnaise dispenser. ¡°Ohhh¡¡± Instead of pouring the mayonnaise on the frozen slimes, it spurted out on Xinthia. ¡°It came out a lot. The thick and slimy mayonnaise¡.¡± Xinthia said as she licked her fingers that she dipped from the part that was spilled by the mayonnaise. ¡°That¡¯s it!!¡± The demon said. Her blonde hair turned into white and her eyes turned black and red. ¡°All of you will die here!¡± Her cute voice turned into a deep demonic voice like those in horror movies. ¡°Calm your tits, Kaneki Ken.¡± I said as I opened two warps to get my Flame Blade and Frozen Zweihandler. ¡°Or we will do it the hard way.¡± ¡°Those are two big black dildos¡¯. You do know that, right?¡± Gretzel said.Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit. ¡°Wrong sword, but it is sure a hard way.¡± I said, not losing my cool. An arrow flew. It was Xinthia¡¯s. The arrow got blocked by the Demon Queen¡¯s barrier. ¡°Who on Ather still uses a bow and arrow in this day and age?¡± The Demon Queen said with a smug smile. ¡°Well, it was a thousand years ago when I saw this movie on a different dimension where a guy was using a bow and arrow against robots. I just want the poor guy with no power to go home with his kids and drink some chocolate milk.¡± I said. ¡°And a former master swordsman who thinks that bows are cool like those kids who thinks that 80¡¯s music was better but in truth, they are just lazy to find good shit on the internet.¡± The arrow pierced through the barrier and cut through the Demon Queen¡¯s arm that casted the barrier. It split her arm like paper as she yelled in pain. ¡°Arrow Creation.¡± Xinthia said as she made another arrow on her hand. ¡°Oh, damn. That¡¯s got to hurt.¡± I said as I tried to close my eyes. But in the end, I just had to look. My ears wagged itself. ¡°At least she knows a regeneration spell.¡± Gretzel said. ¡°Anyhow, what¡¯s our mission again¡?¡± ¡°Some collector wants to use a demon horn as a dildo. And she wants the Demon Queen¡¯s horns because it has three sizes.¡± Xinthia said. ¡°I¡¯m impressed that you said that with a straight face.¡± Gretzel said with her unimpressed face. ¡°Oh great Mother¡¡± The Demon Queen started to chant her spell. Spell Circles appeared around her and on her back as she closed her eyes and started to float into the air. ¡°Grant your child the power to burn the skies and evil doers into ashes.¡± She then opened her eyes. ¡°Meteor Rain!¡± Meteors were then summoned into the ceiling and is about to fall on us. ¡°Dispell.¡± The half-dwarf-half-high-elf witch said as the meteors turned into dust and continued to disintegrate into nothing. ¡°What!?¡± The Demon Queen exclaimed in frustration. ¡°I can¡¯t believe that a little girl just cancelled my high level spell¡.¡± I opened a portal near the Demon Queen¡¯s cheek so that Gretzel can poke it with her small hands.¡±Mana Drain.¡± The little witch smirked. ¡°Thanks Elaiza, I finally touched a Demon¡¯s cheek. A queen¡¯s at that!¡± She said. ¡°It¡¯s really soft. How do you maintain that?¡± ¡°Thanks for noticing.¡± The Demon Queen who just lost all of her mana as her hair and eyes turned back to normal. ¡°I¡¯m actually on a vegan diet as I drink a lot of water.¡± ¡°That sounds stupid.¡± The little bitch remarked. ¡°But if it worked on you, I might as well try it.¡± And that¡¯s when I knew that I had to do it to her. I opened a portal to her head just enough to get her horns in. I closed the portal, cutting her horns as I opened another portal just above my hands, her horns falling at the palm of my hands. ¡°Nothing personal, Demon Queen.¡± I smiled to her. ¡°We¡¯re just doing our job. You know what they say; Those who can¡¯t earn gold might as well have their souls sold.¡± The mana-less Demon Queen tried to run towards us but I managed to open a portal for us to go home just in time. III III ELAIZA It¡¯s been nine centuries since I lost Gallen and eight centuries since I avenged him and Franzine¡¯s death. Two decades since I met Gretzel on a mission. A decade since I bumped into Xinthia. The three of us had some past that we want to forget. And I guess we have different ways on escaping the harsh reality that keeps on hunting us¡ ¡. ¡ .. . ¡°Okay, I just got the pay from our mission!!¡± I said as I waved the bags of gold coins to their faces when I entered our tree house in the middle of the Dark Elven forest that I got from my parents. The same scenery welcomed me, as always. Gretzel was on the kitchen, washing the dishes while standing on her stool. Xinthia is on her phone, smiling as she is swiping and pressing it¡¯s screen. ¡°I already separated our parts and for our expenses. Just get your bags here. And Gretzel, here¡¯s the coins for the expenses.¡± I left the bags on the dining table. ¡°Thanks, grandma.¡± ¡°Thanks, grandma.¡± ¡°Fuck you guys.¡± I said as I laughed. And with that, I went outside to visit my great-great-great I don¡¯t know how much of a great she is but yeah, she¡¯s my granddaughter. Being 982 years-old is tough. I¡¯ve seen all of my human friends die one by one, my grandsons and granddaughters¡ everyone. And in the end, their faces faded on my memory. The city changes. All of the places that I once loved, vanished one by one. The coffee shop that I once visited with Gallen, the ferris wheel that my daughter and I rode to. They¡¯re all gone. ¡°Grandma!!¡± a familiar voice greeted me once I got to the smiths. ¡°How was your mission? Gretzel told me that you went to a demon¡¯s castle!¡± It was Kirein. She placed her hammer down and stopped smelting the sword that she was making. ¡°I missed you so much.¡± She said as she hugged me. ¡°I missed you too.¡± I said. Although unlike me who was a Dark Elf, she was a human, just like all of my grandsons and granddaughters. ¡°Mom.¡± Zailie said. My daughter. She¡¯s a half-dark-elf who just turned 947 last month. ¡°What brings you here?¡± She asked with her bored face.¡± ¡°I¡¯m gonna teach my young granddaughter how to forge a magical weapon.¡± I smiled at Kirein. ¡°Really?¡± She asked. ¡°Yes. The family secret.¡± I grinned. It was a weapon-making technique that Gallen taught me when we were young. His parents were famous blacksmiths back then. And now, I kept their weapon-making techniques alive. I guess besides doing off-handed jobs from random people at the pubs with my friends, the reason that I forget all of my sad past whenever I spend my time with my family. This novel''s true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there. Just when I thought that it was gonna be a peaceful day, a loud explosion was heard. It was just near us. That¡¯s when we realized that the whole city was in flames. ¡.. ¡ .. . XINTHIA ¡°Gretzel!¡± I called the witch. ¡°What is it, Xinthia?¡± She looked at me, still wearing her cute little apron on top of her gothic dress that Elaiza bought for her. I took a photo. ¡°You¡¯re so cute, Gretzel.¡± I said. ¡°I know, I know.¡± She said as she went back to washing the dishes. ¡°Cute little girl, washing the dishes.¡± I said as I type it on my post. *ding* My phone rang. I received a message from a person with a familiar profile picture. It was my one and only student. Also, I don¡¯t get as to why people call it DP sometimes. I mean, it¡¯s supposedly PFP, for ProFile Picture. Let¡¯s not talk about PP. That just sounds dirty. Dirty and funny at the same time. ¡¡ ¡. ¡.. PP¡.. HAHA. Anyways, I opened the message. ¡°I¡¯m outside the house, Master Xinthia.¡± So I stood up and walked towards the door to open it. And there she was, the cat girl with black and white hair, eyes with different colors, left was green while the other was blue. Her name is Leiriae Leindricht. But we call her Lei Lei. I hugged her small body but she drew her wooden sword and hit my chin with the tip of its handle. I heard Gretzel let out a small laugh. ¡°I heard that you just finished your mission so I went straight here, hoping that you could teach me again, Master Xinthia.¡± ¡°I will. But can you at least sheathe that wooden sword of yours.¡± Gretzel laughed again as she took the apron off. ¡°I¡¯ll be going on the town to buy some groceries; you wanna request something for dinner?¡± The little witch asked. ¡°What about some barbeque for a change?¡± I said as I slowly move the wooden sword away from my face. ¡°Got it, pork stew for dinner.¡± The little bitch smirked as she slowly walked outside the house. ¡°Shall we get going then?¡± I asked the black and white half cat. She silently sheathed her wooden sword and nodded. I walked towards the bamboo forest which is just 20 feet away from the house. ¡°Let¡¯s begin.¡± I said. ¡°But where¡¯s your sword, master?¡± The little cat girl asked. ¡°I am my sword.¡± She then placed her hands on her sword and slowly positioning herself into her stance. Silence. There was nothing but silence at that moment. And then, the wind blew. Lei Lei then came rushing towards me as fast as the wind and started striking me with her sword. That¡¯s when it came to me, the voice of my own master. ¡°Too slow.¡± I said as I smiled. It was a weird nostalgia every time I train this cat girl. Those moments that my master was still training me. Her movements were just like mine when I was just a kid in my swordsmanship training. It must¡¯ve been 10 years¡ or more. I can¡¯t remember much. I was just an orphan in the streets of the city, begging for money from people just to live. My parents died from an accident and never returned from their work that day. The owner of the house that we were renting threw me out. All of my relatives didn¡¯t care about me. So I started to wander the streets and slept on the floor with boxes and newspapers that I could find. But their warmth was never enough. Sometimes, I was beaten up by other street kids. Other times, I would get raped by the drunkards in alleys. I never had the strength to fight back. I was just a scared little girl. I wanted to die back then. But yet, I still continued to live for some reason that I don¡¯t even know. Until a mysterious man came into town. He came to me and asked ¡°Why are you here? Where are your parents?¡± ¡°They died.¡± I answered with my blank face. ¡°Why do you have bruises everywhere?¡± ¡°Because I¡¯m weak.¡± And after that, day after day, he would give me food. And after eating, he would ask me to train with the wooden sword that he gave me. He wouldn¡¯t use his sword at first saying that he is his sword. And as time went by, I learned my own style of swordsmanship. That¡¯s when he started using his own wooden sword. He then took me with him on his journey. Where? He doesn¡¯t even know. Until the day that he said that I should have my own journey. And he had nothing left to teach me. That¡¯s when I met Elaiza and Gretzel when I took a mission from a pub. I don¡¯t know what my journey is about either. I guess someday, I¡¯ll find about it. And this kid here, I happened to be the one who killed her parents on a mission. And then a loud explosion was heard. It brought me back to my senses. ¡°It came from the town.¡± Lei Lei said as she sheathed her wooden sword. ¡°Gretzel and Elaiza are both in the town.¡± I went back into the house quickly to get my bow and started running towards the town. And there, I saw hell brought up on Ather. iv iv ¨C Demon Fox ¡°Hey bruh.¡± I said to the lizard man. ¡°I always buy shit here and yet you don¡¯t give me a discount? This has been the worst trade, since, like, ever.¡± ¡°Bruh.¡± The lizard man unconsciously licked his nose with his thin tongue. ¡°Ya, ya, I¡¯ll give you an extra, little girl. Just because you¡¯re cute. Tell your parents that they should be the ones who should buy stuff. And not their precious daughter.¡± He smilled. I suddenly remembered my parents. Those fuckers. My mom, who was a high elf divorced my father, who was a dwarf. The reason? Because she got tired of his small dick. Well, yeah, I guess that was a sound reasoning. My mother didn¡¯t want me as I remind her of my small father. So I grew up in the forest, with only a knife in hand. My father? The day that my mom left him, he hung himself. On the tree where the two of them met. Where they had the sweetest dates, he proposed. Where everything started. He told me that it was just appropriate to end it where it started. And that¡¯s how I learned how to survive on my own. I became something less of a person. Something like an animal. Until I met Elaiza. I guess, she would count as my parent¡? Right? ¡°Yes, I¡¯ll tell them, Mr. Lizardous.¡± I smiled as I took the extra piece of meat that I got from him. And then, a loud explosion was heard. It came from the place where our previous customer lives. Since it wasn¡¯t that far away from where I am now, I decided that I should take a look. All of the people where running away to safety. ¡°Everyone, get inside this portal. This is a portal to go outside of town.¡± It was Elaiza. Along with her was her daughter. ¡°What¡¯s happening here?¡± I said as I ran towards her.If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. ¡°It seems like something has happened to our last client. The explosion is coming from his house. And the fire is spreading everywhere.¡± Elaiza looked at me in the eyes. ¡°Investigate what¡¯s happening over there. I have a bad feeling about this.¡± I nodded as I ran. The fire was spreading everywhere. As I was running, I told them to run towards the smiths where Elaiza and her portal was and that it leads to a safe place. And in the middle of it all. Was a Ronin looking person. I noticed that it has boobs and long ears. A female high elf? She had long green hair tied to her back. She was wearing a sakkat. ¡°Can you tell me what¡¯s happening here?¡± I asked. In the blink of an eye, she was in front of me, her sword was about to slash me in a melee second. It was a good thing that I have the wand that Elaiza gave me. I used it to block her sword. That¡¯s when I realized. ¡°The Demon Fox.¡± I said as I noticed the fox mask that she was wearing and the sword that she has. It was a katana with a red glow. Elaiza always rant about wanting to have the Demon Fox¡¯s sword. This is a bad match up. The Demon Fox jumped back and sheathed her katana. ¡°Get away from here.¡± She said with her muffled voice. ¡°Did you know that if you tell someone to do something, they would like to do that more?¡± I smirked. I still can¡¯t cast spells like a regular mage. The only spell that I know is Mana Drain. And obviously, mages are weak against melee attacks. ¡°Then do that in hell.¡± The Demon Fox launched herself towards me with her right foot. I backed away. But hell, she was fast. I blocked all of her fast attacks with my small magic wand with a star on top. But I can¡¯t block it all. The dress that Elaiza gave me are being destroyed, bit by bit. Her barrage of attacks ended as we both stood on the roof of opposing buildings. ¡°Just what the fuck are you doing on that building? Are you guys burning weed and accidentally burned the whole city?¡± I smirked. And with that, she vanished. I looked above, and there she was. Without thinking, I blocked it with my both hands holding my wand. I saved myself. But not my groceries. Her katana sliced the plastic containing everything that I just bought. ¡°You¡¡± The Demon Fox tilted her head. ¡°You ruined our barbeque.¡± The barbeque that Elaiza and Xinthia would want to eat¡. Destroyed by this¡ I threw my wand and took the hidden blades that I hid underneath my dress. Jumping front, sideways, and onto her back with my speed unmatched by none. I aimed my knives unto her neck. And just as I thought that I have her, she blocked my knives with her katana. Without looking. ¡°Is that it?¡± She said. ¡°You are still weak, Gretzel.¡± ¡°Wha-? How did yo-¡° Before I even finish my sentence, she spun around and hit my neck with her saya. And instantly lose my consciousness.
