Some of them are pretty damn good, and I can¡¯t put them down. It¡¯d explain why I¡¯m thinking about them in my sleep. I¡¯m obsessed right now. Since this is a dream, I might as well have some fun with it. I look at the choices carefully, and I¡¯m immediately drawn to the Senju, Uchiha, and Hyuga clans. It¡¯s hard thinking about choosing one over the other, considering they¡¯re all so cool in my eyes. ¡°In the end, the power of the Sharingan can¡¯t be beaten¡­ To hell with it; it¡¯s just a dream anyway. It takes me a moment to get my bearings, but I do. I look around the room, and there are children in beds. The best way I can describe it is as a bunk house for young children. I move my body for the first time, and that¡¯s when I notice I¡¯ve shrunken. I¡¯m a little kid. I squeeze my small hands and turn them. Inspecting the look of someone¡¯s flesh that isn¡¯t my own. The ones I¡¯ve left behind all of a sudden. I didn¡¯t spend a lot of time with my parents at this point in my life. Not after I moved out. I don¡¯t even know what era I¡¯m in, and it¡¯s not like I know a lot about Naruto. Not like a fan that¡¯s in my situation should know. A part of me wonders if these thoughts have gone through others. He¡¯s under the care of Miss Aiko, like all the Orphans here.] My eyes narrow slightly in contemplation as I take the information in. ¡®This means I also lost my parents in the nine-tails attack. Given I¡¯m a Uchiha, it¡¯s strange another member of the clan hasn¡¯t taken me in. Perhaps no one from the Uchiha clan knows I¡¯m here.¡¯ There are a lot of answers I¡¯ve just gleaned from using Observe on Yuuto. The first is that I¡¯m the same age as the Rookie 9 from canon events. Second, I¡¯m an abandoned member of the Uchiha clan. Third, my direct family is likely dead. Meaning, a dark road is ahead of me once I have my Mangekyo Sharingan. Another small sigh escapes my lips as I lean in my bed. Thinking about everything that I¡¯ve learned. Organizing it inside my head. The door to the room suddenly opens, and since I¡¯m the only one awake right now, I¡¯m the only one who looks over. There are bound to be people I don¡¯t recognize, just like Yuuto. What I find interesting is that she knew my mother in this world.¡¯ I have the memories of Fuyuki¡¯s life until now, and from everything I can remember, Aiko hasn¡¯t talked to me about my mother. In fact, before now, I didn¡¯t even know I was a Uchiha. That explains why I¡¯m hiding out in the Orphanage. It has to be the strict instructions from my mother. Whatever those are, it¡¯s connected to why I¡¯m here and not with the Uchiha. Given that, it¡¯s safer I remain here. At least until I find out more. Right now, the hardest thing is dealing with other five-year-olds. I stand out compared to them. The way I act and speak. Aiko sees that I¡¯m different. I¡¯m acting differently compared to the Fuyuki to whom this body belonged. The kid was the opposite of how I¡¯m behaving now. The worried look I get from Aiko isn¡¯t the only detriment I¡¯ve faced due to this. She won¡¯t let me leave the orphanage. Giving excuses about why I¡¯m not allowed outside. All I can do is sit at one of the windows and see Konoha. I can¡¯t walk around it. I don¡¯t know anything about Konoha¡¯s locations aside from the Hokage monument and the academy all the future Shinobi train at. Even then, I don¡¯t know where they¡¯re located in the actual village. My eyes scan the people walking up and down the street. Some are carrying food home, and others are in their Shinobi gear. I want out of the orphanage so damn bad. I¡¯m cooped up in here. There has to be a way for me to sneak out without getting heat from Aiko and returning without her knowing I was gone. I was wondering when I¡¯d get my first quest. Seems I can get quests if my emotions for it are strong enough. I don¡¯t see a time limit on the quest, so I guess that means I can get it done whenever. ¡®I¡¯m not gonna wait around and find out, though. It¡¯s time I get a break from the watchful eye of Aiko and have some fun. Just need to make sure I don¡¯t get caught.¡¯ She¡¯s busy with a lot of the other kids, so I have a perfect opportunity. I can¡¯t just walk out the front door; she¡¯ll see me if I do that. I spend a few minutes looking through the rooms around the second floor, and I find a way out and to the streets of Konoha. Through the window in Aiko¡¯s room. This place is strictly off-limits, and if we¡¯re ever caught in here, it¡¯s timeout and punishment time. I bet Aiko thinks none of the kids have the balls to do this. Which makes it a better coming and going point than anywhere else in the orphanage. It¡¯s come in handy. It¡¯s a foreign feeling to me. I can feel my mind getting sharper as I gain the stat points. It¡¯s a small increase bit by bit. Focusing back on the mission to get out of here, I make it to Aiko¡¯s window and open it. Climbing through and making my way over to the ledge. Not seeing an easy way down, I¡¯m forced to think outside the box. ¡®C¡¯mon, think Fuyuki. There are plenty of ways to safely get from a higher point to a lower one. Ropes, ledges, climbing. There is an answer around here somewhere.¡¯ I start to shimmy my way across the roof and search for anything that could allow a five-year-old to scale down the side of a first-floor wall. To my luck, there is a ladder attached to the building next door. It reaches all the way to the ground. ¡®It¡¯s fucking risky, but I¡¯m willing to take it. Hang in there with me, body; it¡¯ll be dicey here for a few seconds.¡¯ The moment of truth is here, and I get a small running start as I jump across the small alley and grab the ladder. Coming to an abrupt stop. Fortunately, there is no pain from the impact. I don¡¯t feel any damage, so I start to scale down the ladder. I got a seven-day time limit.¡¯ It¡¯s a little after eight in the morning, and we just had breakfast at the Orphanage. I don¡¯t know if I have seven days to complete the quest this new one is connected to, but I shouldn¡¯t rush it with a time limit like this. Being gone for a few hours at a time seems like the best approach to this. ¡®Since the first quest doesn¡¯t have a time limit, I can take my sweet time. Aiko not learning about this is the main goal of failing or not. I¡¯ve never been a very patient person, but considering I have a reward for patience, I can actually say it¡¯s not something I dread.¡¯ I exit the alley and immediately take off in a direction completely random to me. I don¡¯t know Konoha, so this is a learning experience as much as it¡¯s a quest. As I¡¯m going at a fast walking pace, I¡¯m using Observe on everything that I can. Getting new information about random things and leveling up the skill at the same time. The Flying Squirrels of Konoha have specifically adapted their bodies to traverse the many trees and great forests located here. Observe is already level 54. I¡¯m looking forward to when I start learning Ninjutsu and everything connected to the Shinobi Arts. For now, it¡¯s about taking baby steps. From what I remember, Itachi was an unparalleled genius and made the Anbu Black Ops squad at a really young age. I can¡¯t remember if it was 10, 11, or 12. I don¡¯t know why I was reborn into Naruto when I know so little about it. ¡®It¡¯s a mystery. Other than the easy explanation that it was connected to the lottery I supposedly won. Truly random in everything, including the world.¡¯ I shouldn¡¯t be focusing on what¡¯s not in my control and already in the past. Since I¡¯ve been given a sign that points me in the direction of nearby markers of significance. I start making my way to the Konoha Hospital since it¡¯s the closest. There are way more than six locations that carry such a title, but the quest gave me something easy and of my level. There are probably around 100 or so such locations in Konoha, but that¡¯s a rough guess. I spend around 20 minutes walking at a fast speed, and I find the large Hospital in Konoha. [You have found the Konoha Hospital. Quest Progression 1/6] This quest will be easy; I just need to take my time over the next seven days. Maybe in that time, Aiko will start letting me go out on my own with her consent. ¡®Observe.¡¯ [Konoha Hospital] [The center of healing and medical research and advancement in the Fire Country. This Hospital has been here since the First Hokage founded the Village and has survived Three Shinobi World Wars. All medical Ninjutsu is taught here.] All I can do is smile. The hospital building is around six stories tall, and a some odd number over a hundred meters. I¡¯ve still got around an hour and a half before people notice I¡¯m gone from the orphanage, but I¡¯ve already finished one of the six quest objectives today. ¡®No need to push my luck and get found out by Aiko and the other kids. Training Starts ~~~POV: Fuyuki Uchiha~~~ It¡¯s late morning, and I¡¯m on my way to a location that will finish the Konoha Village quest. It¡¯s been four days since I started this quest. After the second day, I started going to two locations a day. It¡¯s been fun, I¡¯ll be honest. Sneaking out and back in wasn¡¯t something I thought I¡¯d enjoy. ¡®The real challenge is convincing Aiko to train me. She is a retired Shinobi. I doubt she wants any of the orphans practicing before the academy.¡¯ I¡¯ll come up with a plan after I get back to the orphanage. For now, I should focus on finishing this quest. It takes around 40 minutes, but I make it to my location. [You have found the Konoha Library. Quest Progress 6/6] One of the few locations where a person can come outside the academy to receive knowledge about Ninjutsu. A public resource that has probably helped more people than any library in my old world during modern times. I wonder what I could learn from the books inside. ¡®Observe.¡¯ [Konoha Library] [The center of public knowledge within the walls of Konoha. Here, you can learn the history of the village and its conflicts with its enemies. There are books and texts on Shinobi Arts, but anything powerful is kept in more secure locations in Konoha.] Skill Observe has risen its level by 7. My Observe skill is almost max, sitting at level 91. I still don¡¯t know how it completely works, but I have some theories. The level gap between myself and the person I use it on can¡¯t be more than 60 levels, or I won¡¯t get any information. If they¡¯re more than 30 levels, I can only see their HP, CP, and some information about them. Those levels started out bigger, but after leveling up the skill. It¡¯s really like a game out here, but at the same time, it¡¯s the world of Naruto. I think it¡¯s time I made my way back to the Orphanage. He¡¯s changed a lot since he woke up from that fever. He used to be such a ball of energy, always getting into something. I haven¡¯t let him out of the orphanage since I saw this change. For a while, I was worried this Fuyu was an imposter. After checking him with my medical Ninjutsu, it was obvious he was the same kid as always. ¡®What¡¯s changed in you, Fuyu¡­ I don¡¯t see the little kid anymore¡­¡¯ His mother passed upon me the responsibility of raising him and another task when he was older. I don¡¯t know why she told me not to return him to the Uchiha clan, but I¡¯ve never known her to be wrong. I¡¯ll have to talk to him about the academy in a few months. Whether he wishes to be a Shinobi or not is up to him. I worry for the day his Sharingan awakens. The truth about him staying here will come out. The Uchiha clan wouldn¡¯t be happy if one of their own was kept and raised outside their compound. It makes sense she can sense any changes in me at the exact moment. ¡®I can¡¯t just tell her the truth, but I can¡¯t lie either. I don¡¯t know if she can tell if I¡¯m lying or not, but I bet she can. If I was his age and doing what he¡¯s doing, I¡¯d have passed out from exhaustion. Is it because he¡¯s a Uchiha? That would explain his talent but not anything else. His Stamina is insane, and the motivation he has to keep going is way beyond a five-year-old. I¡¯m worried about him. This isn¡¯t the Fuyuki that I know. ¡®Everything changed when he recovered from that fever¡­ Maybe I¡¯m just overthinking things. But I can see it now. The truth. I¡¯m earning EXP at a rate that makes all this too easy. Not that I hate that. Basic Body Conditioning - Passive (Lvl. MAX): This skill gives the body an increase in strength, speed, vitality and stamina through training. The reason I didn¡¯t get these EXP bonuses for Meditate is probably because the system was already giving me an amazing reward. The new stats have helped me keep up with training. I thought I¡¯d reach a plateau, but now I know that I won¡¯t have one, thanks to the system. My INT and WIS stats have reached 45 each. I¡¯m only a few away from getting skills relating to them like these. ¡®I haven¡¯t had to spend a single stat point since I started training. The real problem is Chakra. It¡¯s still at 14, and I haven¡¯t unlocked the ability to use it or train it yet.¡¯ Today, Aiko will see the results of my constant training and start me on the rest of what I need to do. She¡¯s fully aware of what I want to train. This is going a lot better than I ever thought it would, and that¡¯s thanks to the system doing a lot of the heavy lifting. This is the way I¡¯m gonna do it.¡¯ I nod my head, and she guides me to another part of the training area¡ªone that is more secluded and away from the possibility that people might be watching. After a few minutes, we find a place and sit down. ¡°Aiko, how long does it usually take for someone to unlock their chakra?¡± I¡¯m curious about the times I¡¯m up against here. She adopts a thoughtful expression for a second and then looks at me. ¡°It depends on the person. The state of the times. Whether or not they¡¯ve been trained beforehand. It¡¯s an important step to becoming a shinobi. What matters is getting it done, not how fast you do so.¡± She¡¯s trying to stop me from overreaching beyond my capabilities. I had a loose understanding of chakra in my old life, but I¡¯m learning way more than I ever knew before. After explaining it to me, she stood up and walked behind me. When I opened my eyes after all this time, I saw Aiko¡¯s stupified look. ¡°But¡­ Wha¡­ How did¡­ Fuyuki, this is¡­¡± She can¡¯t find her words as I stand up and make my way to her. And with these skills unlocked and past level 50, I¡¯ve completed the Basic Chakra Control Technique. I¡¯m making monstrous progress, and there is nothing that I see that¡¯ll slow me down. ¡®It¡¯s not like I can explain any of this to Aiko. Not that I¡¯d want her to know about the system to begin with. I can see she has a lot of questions and concerns.¡¯ Instead of bombarding me with questions, she takes a knee in front of me so we¡¯re eye to eye. Placing her hands on my shoulders. Looking into my eyes with great concern as she does. ¡°Fuyu, I want you to know that you¡¯re special¡ªmore special than anyone I¡¯ve ever seen or heard of. From now on, when you¡¯re training, I want you to make sure you¡¯re alone. Always come here. It¡¯s a safe place, and almost no one knows about it.¡± I place my hand on the back of my head as I scratch it. Having a hard time finding a response to that. Before I can, she brings me into a hug. Squeezing me and rubbing my back. All I can do is reciprocate. ¡°I promise.¡± Those are the only words I need to say as she eventually lets me go. The worried look stays on her face, but it¡¯s not as prevalent as before. As she stands up, she takes out the Nature Affinity chakra paper again. Handing it to me as she does. She takes out one herself, and holds it between her index and middle finger. ¡°We¡¯re gonna find out your Chakra Nature Affinity. What you need to do is push your chakra into the paper, and we¡¯ll find out what it is.¡± I watch as she demonstrates. Her paper splits in half, and both halves dampen. I don¡¯t know what they mean. Again, I don¡¯t know a whole lot about Naruto. ¡°I have two nature affinities. Wind, which caused the paper to split, and water, which caused both halves to dampen.¡± She motions for me to do the same, and I do as she does. I channel some chakra into the paper, and it begins to react. First, it crumples up and then catches fire and turns to ash. I know the fire part is fire affinity, but I don¡¯t know the crumple one. ¡°Looks like you¡¯ve got a fire nature affinity and a lightning nature affinity.¡± I¡¯ve got two? I always thought you were supposed to have one¡­ My confused look doesn¡¯t go unnoticed by Aiko, and she cracks a small smile. ¡°Sometimes people naturally have two releases. It took me a few years to train wind nature. My natural nature was water.¡± Now that this is over, I¡¯ve completed another one of my objectives for the quest. All I need to do now is learn an E-ranked Ninjutsu, beginner Taijutsu, and Shuriken Jutsu and level them up to level 50. After I¡¯m done with those three, I¡¯ll be finished with ¡®Get ahead of your peers.¡¯ ¡°When will we start Taijutsu and Shuriken Jutsu training?¡± Aiko can¡¯t help a small but humorous grimace from appearing on her face as I jump straight into what I want to learn next. She folds her arms and takes a breath. ¡°If you want to start on those, we can, but it¡¯s not like Kazuo is available to take over all the time. So, I¡¯ll give you some books to read. From there, you can train as much as you want without pulling me away from the rest of the orphans.¡± I can¡¯t help thinking that I won¡¯t learn as fast with a book. However, from what I remember about the Gamer comic I remember reading, you can learn skills from books. I assume it¡¯s the same here. Not only will that allow me to train without Aiko, but I can progress at whatever rate I deem necessary.¡¯ ¡°That¡¯s fine with me, Aiko. I¡¯m just happy I can start training more than just my body.¡± She places her hand on my head and ruffles it around. After a few seconds, she tells me it¡¯s time to head back to the orphanage. Informing me she¡¯ll have the needed books by tomorrow. Meaning the quest is very nearly done. Training Alone ~~~POV: Fuyuki Uchiha~~~ It¡¯s been two days since Aiko taught me about chakra, and today is the first day I¡¯m starting my training by myself. You could argue that leaving a five-year-old alone to learn about Taijutsu, Shurikenjutsu, and Ninjutsu is reckless, but from what I remember about the Naruto world, this is how it is most of the time. ¡®Yesterday was the first day I took off from any training. Spending a little bit of time away from the constant training. It¡¯s sad that I have to admit this, but I¡¯m in better shape now than I ever was in my old life.¡¯ The shinobi world is full of ways to become strong. More than any normal person could back in my old life. So, I can¡¯t really call it a comparison. My thoughts drift to other subjects in my silent trip to the secluded training area. ¡®I¡¯ll have to learn how scrolls work at some point. I¡¯m focusing on these two for now. Shurikenjutsu is one I¡¯ll handle last. I¡¯m naturally drawn to the Ninjutsu book first, and I crack it open. I spend the next two hours reading through the book. Learning about special chakra control exercises that¡¯ll help me. Before I start trying to cast actual Ninjutsu, I want to get a skill that increases my chakra control. ¡®There is an interesting one¡ªbasic, simple, and one that¡¯s where I should start: the Leaf Concentration Technique. When people find out what I¡¯m capable of and that I¡¯m a Uchiha, my life will become extremely complicated. Honestly, it just motivates me more to keep getting better. ¡®Now, it¡¯s time to move on to Taijutsu.¡¯ Now that I¡¯ve learned something from the Ninjutsu book Aiko gave me, I think switching it up would be fun. I pick up the Taijutsu book and crack it open, immediately starting to read. It¡¯s different from the Ninjutsu book. In this book, there are diagrams and drawings of what Taijutsu should look like. ¡®Leaf Academy Taijutsu, huh¡­ It¡¯s a good starting point. There''s no need to start anywhere else but here. It literally has the academy''s name in it.¡¯ I spend the next 45 minutes reading through all the descriptions, instructions, diagrams, and drawings of the Leaf Academy Taijutsu. From what I can understand, this is more of a fundamental style that I can build off. A few more minutes pass, and something new I haven¡¯t seen pops up. You have understood the basics of Leaf Academy Taijutsu style and thus gained [Leaf Academy Taijutsu]. Would you like to learn this skill? My suspicions about using books to unlock skills straight away have been proven. I don¡¯t know how encompassing this is or what triggers it in certain situations. The best I can go on is understanding the contents of the skill book, thus providing a possible trigger. I could get up and start leveling it up, but since I can learn skills from books, that means I could probably learn the Shurikenjutsu skills without having to throw them first. ¡®No time like the present.¡¯ I place the Taijutsu book down and pick up the Shurikenjutsu one. Calmly going through the pages as I do. Having the same description templates as Taijutsu. Diagrams and drawings on how to hold them and throw them properly. It takes me around an hour to go through everything, making sure I wrap my head around it. But once I¡¯m able to visualize it in my head, I get the system message. You have understood the basics of Shurikenjutsu and thus gained [Shurikenjutsu]. I can¡¯t train my Shurikenjutsu with kunai or shurikens, but I can start practicing on the Taijutsu. I stand up and start training in the Leaf Academy Taijutsu style, remembering everything I had learned from the book and putting it into practice. I spend the rest of the day working on the style. When I reach exhaustion, I Meditate. After all the work, the results show themselves. I reached level 50 in the Taijutsu style, thus marking one of the last three objectives I have left as completed. This leaves me with leveling Shurikenjutsu to level 50 and learning one E-rank Ninjutsu. Before I do, I¡¯ll have to learn some other Jutsus, too. ¡®I should head back; Aiko is probably starting to worry about me.¡¯ I leave the training area and head back to the orphanage; upon my arrival, the stars are just starting to come out. My usual routine follows suit as I make my way to the bathroom and start getting ready for a shower. That¡¯s one thing I¡¯m glad the world of Shinobi has. I¡¯m not a fan of bathing in my own filthy water. ¡®Tomorrow is another day of training, and I¡¯ll need to bring some kunai and shurikens with me. There were some interesting E-rank Ninjutsus in that book, too. I¡¯m ready for them now, and they¡¯re the last thing I need to do other than leveling Shurikenjutsu to 50.¡¯ With tomorrow already planned out, I¡¯m ready to relax tonight. I¡¯ve earned it. I''ll be following up on all the training I did yesterday. It was important I unlocked Taijutsu, a Chakra Control Exercise, and Shurikenjutsu. All I need to do to finish and complete the ¡®Get ahead of your peers¡¯ quest is to make my Shurikenjutsu level 50 and learn 1 E-rank Ninjutsu. Those are my objectives today. I don¡¯t know how long it¡¯ll take to train my Shurikenjutsu to level 50, but Prodigy Boost will make it much easier. ¡®It¡¯s time I got out of bed and went downstairs for breakfast. Before I begin training today, I must ask Aiko for shurikens and kunai. Without them, I can¡¯t train my Shurikenjutsu at all. One thing I¡¯m definitely looking forward to is learning my first Ninjutsu.¡¯ I moved downstairs, and the large table was full of little kids. They¡¯re smiling happily as Aiko places food on individual plates. She has a motherly smile on her lips as she does this. I can¡¯t help the half grin on my lips as I watch this. It doesn¡¯t take me long to find a seat. Around an hour passes as we all eat and fill our stomachs. Soon, the rest of the kids are off doing their own thing, and I begin my regular duty of helping Aiko with the dishes. Luckily for her and me, my Dishwashing skill is maxed out after all the dishes I¡¯ve helped clean the last couple of weeks. We stand next to each other. Sadly, I need a stool to help me reach the sink. I¡¯m still not tall enough to do it alone, and I won¡¯t be for a while. ¡°The academy is around 11 months away¡­ I know you plan to go, but you don¡¯t need to train yourself so hard. You¡¯ve already proven that you¡¯re serious about being a Shinobi. How about having some fun today instead of training?¡± The motherly concern in Aiko¡¯s voice doesn¡¯t slip past me. When I first started training under her instructions, I believed she doubted that I¡¯d be able to do it. But I¡¯ve proved her wrong at every corner, and I¡¯m advancing at a rate Aiko hasn¡¯t seen before. ¡°No, today I¡¯m starting my Shurikenjutsu training.¡± She stiffens her body with a jolt at my words and stops washing the plate that¡¯s in her hand. After a second, she gently places it inside the sink. Her long, dark hair frames her face, and bangs hang over her eyes. Obscuring them from sight and what might be visible to someone looking at her. ¡®Aiko is a real adult to me. Someone who¡¯s lived longer than me in my old life and in this one. That reaction has to be from all the stuff she¡¯s been through. She may be a trained Shinobi, but it¡¯s not like she¡¯s a robot either.¡¯ I don¡¯t say anything at first. Just wait until she looks at me. Her eyes look into mine with concern but not overbearing. I see great worry but the control not to interfere. Aiko is a mother to all of us here. I can only imagine how good she¡¯d be to a child she gave birth to. My hands are now empty as I place the plate in the dish drainer, and breaking eye contact with her as I do so. I don¡¯t know what else I¡¯m supposed to say here. Again, I¡¯m a kid, and I¡¯ve already pushed my luck with how smart I sound. ¡°I know that you¡¯re progressing fast, Fuyu¡­ But are you really starting on Shurikenjutsu?¡± The genuine worry in Aiko¡¯s eyes doesn¡¯t slide off me. She cares for me more than anyone else in this world does. Even now, seeing this side of her, I can¡¯t stop my training. When my potential is as limitless as I think it is, the only time I should take a break is when I need it. Not when I want a break or see someone who cares about me worried. That¡¯ll be my death in the end. I stop looking at her for a second, taking on a thinking look. Only to look at her back in the eyes. ¡°Shurikenjutsu is one of the foundational skills of a Shinobi, and I¡¯ve reached the point where I need to take my training to the next level. Warning me that if I come back hurt or cut, there will be a price to pay. I nod my head with a nervous gulp, and she smiles while losing the sharp gaze she once held. There isn¡¯t a reason for me to be at the orphanage any longer today. Time to get those kunai and shurikens and get to work. Once I level the skill to 50, I¡¯ll open that Ninjutsu book and learn an E-rank Ninjutsu.
~~~POV: Aiko Hikara~~~ He¡¯s already been gone for a few hours, and it¡¯s getting closer to lunch. He missed it yesterday and has missed every meal except for breakfast since his training began. Everyone would call me a bad caretaker for letting a kid like Fuyuki skip meals, but it¡¯s not like I¡¯m seeing any signs of malnutrition. ¡®That kid is gonna be the death of me¡­ How can he skip meals, train all day, and work himself to exhaustion? Just to do it the next day with no ill side effects or repercussions. If Fuyu ends up awakening it at some point in his life, that¡¯ll mean¡­¡¯ All I can do is hope he never has to go through something like that. His mother awakened hers in the third Shinobi world war. If that¡¯s what it takes to awaken the Mangekyo, Fuyuki is safe for now. Lord Third is a peace-seeking man who cherishes Konoha''s youth.
~~~POV: Fuyuki Uchiha~~~ My arms and hands ache as I walk back to the tree. Pulling the kunai and shurikens from its bark. I¡¯ve been at this for almost seven hours now. And with it, my Shurikenjutsu is nearly maxed out. Once I retrieve the kunai and shurikens, I return to my spot and throw them again. Several perfect thunks against the bark fill the air for a split second. Wanting to try something more interesting, I take the remaining kunai and throw them in a cone toward the trunk. I pull out the remaining shuriken and throw those, using them to redirect the kunai and hit the tree. All the while, I¡¯m still getting the shuriken to hit the targets, too. It¡¯s become so easy to aim and control them. And with that little show, I max out my Shurikenjutsu. Shurikenjutsu - Active (Lvl. MAX): The skill to use shuriken or kunai, usually as projectile weapons. Effects: +200% Increase in Accuracy. +200% Increase in damage dealt. You have maxed out this skill! +10,000 EXP. You¡¯ve leveled up 3x times. You¡¯ve obtained 21 stat points. You have 235 unspent stat points. I stare at the skill as I gently place the kunai and shuriken in the pouch Aiko gave me to carry them. I still have around three hours until it¡¯s time to go home, and it¡¯s time that I opened that Ninjutsu book and tried one of those E-ranks. Learning an E-rank Ninjutsu is my only objective left before I complete ¡®Get ahead of your peers¡¯ and unlock the follow-up quest. Instead of rushing this, I sit under the tree and pull out the Ninjutsu book. Looking through the pages until I find something that actually interests me and is easy enough to do. ¡®I don¡¯t know much about the world of Naruto or the things held within it. I haven¡¯t watched a lot of anime. Mostly just the awesome fights. Now, I¡¯m walking in the dark regarding stuff like this.¡¯ My eyes land on the Clone Technique. The book I¡¯m reading says that all academy students must master this jutsu to graduate from the academy. It¡¯s probably best if I get a handle on it now. I spend the next 30 minutes reading everything about it in the book. You have understood the basics of the Clone Technique and thus gained [Clone Technique]. As the Ninjutsu is added to my skill list, it only comes in second to what¡¯s important right now. Convince her to start training you within the month. And then train hard and prepare for the academy. All I can do is stare as the changes pour through. Goosebumps form on my skin as I feel a change. Something about this boost in power is tangible. I first notice two new skills since my intelligence and wisdom have passed 50 in stat points. Enhanced Intelligence - Passive (Upgradable at 100 Intelligence): A skill obtained by increasing your inherent intellect with knowledge and bringing your mind to an advanced level. Increases the user¡¯s ability to learn Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Genjutsu. Effects: +100% increase in all EXP gains toward Ninjutsu skills. +100% increase in all EXP gains toward Taijutsu skills. +100% increase in all EXP gains toward Genjutsu skills. Enhanced Wisdom - Passive (Upgradable at 100 Wisdom): A skill obtained by increasing your rational decision-making and reasoning. Increases the user''s ability to use Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Genjutsu in better ways during a fight. Effects: +100% damage increase with all Ninjutsu. +100% damage increase with all Taijutsu. +100% damage increase with all Genjutsu. ¡®Wow¡­ These are amazing and symbiotic in ways that I can¡¯t believe. At this rate, before I¡¯m 14, I¡¯ll be the strongest person walking around the world of Naruto. But what¡¯s that thing? Sharingan Advancement Ticket? Along with a title I think is super ostentatious.¡¯ After the fantastic skills are shown to me, my focus shifts toward the two final rewards from this quest. One is a title, and the other is a weird ticket. ¡®Well, it''s time to see what they do.¡® I click on the title and see what it¡¯s all about. Once in a Generation Genius - Title: The holder of this title will eventually be recognized as a genius who comes around once in a generation or even a century. Over time, people will say this about you. Effects: +500% increase to EXP gains from all sources. +500% damage increase from Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Genjutsu created by you. -500% damage reduction from Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Genjutsu you know about. This is amazing¡­ ¡®When I was sent to this world, was I put on easy mode or something?¡¯ My attention shifts to the final reward from the quest, and my thoughts instantly start to consider when I should use the ticket. Sharingan Advancement Ticket - Consumable: This ticket is for the user to use at any time to advance the Sharingan to its next evolution. There are three levels to which you can use this ticket to unlock. You can¡¯t unlock more than one level at a time. The three levels are the 1st tomoe, 2nd tomoe, and 3rd tomoe. This can¡¯t be used to unlock the Mangekyo Sharingan due to the evolution''s unique requirements. This can¡¯t be used to unlock the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan due to a second pair of eyes being needed from a blood relative. You don¡¯t have to use this ticket now. Please report the violation. Since Fuyuki chose to be transmigrated into a fictional world he knows nothing about; it makes perfect sense that his actions will have consequences. There are plenty of chances for me to create a Fourth or even Fifth Shinobi World War before the start or just after the start of canon. I want to do this for a simple reason: to show off Fuyuki''s growing and future power to you, the readers. A story isn''t any fun unless there is a conflict. And let''s be honest here, Naruto can be pretty freaking slow. So, I figured I might as well add some of that original easyread touch to the fanfiction.
