《Pocket Dungeon Lite》 Chapter 1 - Burning Dorms and Coffee It was a nice day with the moon shining and the owls hooting. On days like this, I just knew that something would go wrong. So I wasn¡¯t surprised when being forcefully awoken to a burnt smell and making sure my kitchen didn¡¯t burn down. I was sat down on the couch and told by my best friend of four long years to, ¡°go and get Pocket dungeons already! You have no more excuses now that we¡¯re living in a college dorm away from your parents.¡± I just stared at him saying, ¡°Tet, as your friend for the whole mess that was highschool I have trusted you with my back for more than 4 long years and yet you woke me up at this ungodly hour with the threat of burning our dorm down to have a talk about a game I would be getting later today.¡± We both knew that I wasn¡¯t asking then. I was stating a fact and slowly wrapping my head around that fact. Tet looking a little embarrassed now that his actions were put into words dared to laugh and say, ¡°sorry Nadezh¡¯ I was just really excited since I just KNOW that you will be a natural. You always were more of the strategist to my brute force.¡± I deadpanned at him and spoke in that slow drawl I only reserved for the really idiotic moments my usually better than that friends got up to, ¡°Tet..as your brother in all but blood I truly can¡¯t count the number of times you have caused me to wake up at an ungodly hour to hear another rant or sob story from you. But when it is just after we got off the spacecraft and I still have a minor migraine with an order from Illyuziya to stay away from the coffee (spiked with 3 shots of espresso and some liquor but no one needed to know that) that I need to deal with you guys...you are pushing the limits of our brotherhood.¡± After my exasperated rant was over Tet anxiously pushed me to lay on the sofa. "How about you have some sleep. I''ll ask Osprey to get some high-quality coffee beans on the H.A.W as an apology", he said. I was too tired to push more but still mustered up the effort to shoot him a look before drifting off as he hurriedly messaged someone on his Holographic All-Purpose Watch aka H.A.W.
¡°I don¡¯t think his migraine matters over his sanity Illyuz¡¯¡±, that was Tet. ¡°Yeah but you should know better than to get him so worked up after a flight, you know how bad he is with all things long and boring not to mention unnecessary,'''' said Illyuz¡¯. I didn¡¯t want to, but better to cut them off than cause an incident first thing in the morning. ¡°Guys as much as I am happy that you care for me please shut up, Illyuz¡¯ my migraine is mostly gone and Tet it was fine just... don¡¯t eat so much dessert from now on. I can¡¯t deal with a hyper you in the morning. I am not Osprey nor your babysitter,¡± I stated. They stopped their arguing and then cracked up, I was confused until I realized that I probably looked like a mess. With my shirt crumbled and hair in disarray, I was very off from the image I usually showed and with my voice cracking every once in a while because of thirst I probably look like I just had a shagging session with someone. I deadpanned at both of them and decided to just go and get a shower going with the mindset of ¡®I¡¯ll deal with this later¡¯. After a quick shower, I checked to make sure that I was ready to go on a trip to get the game. Long black hair braided? Check. Grey eyes bespectacled and not blurry? Half-check (I need coffee). Semi-formal clothes consisting of a dress shirt and tie, jeans, and my favorite fedora? Check. Completely neutral face? Check. Hidden weapons and emergency mini-meed kit? Check. ¡®That should be all¡¯, I thought. Once I was again in the kitchen/dining room I was greeted with the sight of a dressed down Tet in black jeans and a white t-shirt it made his red hair and eyes stand out so I¡¯ll let the informality pass this time.Find this and other great novels on the author''s preferred platform. Support original creators! ¡°Nadezh¡¯ why did you wear a dress shirt and tie couldn¡¯t you just wear a t-shirt like seriously we¡¯ll be right back after picking up the game plus the extra mods and packs anyway¡± he whined. I glared at him saying, ¡°Unlike a certain someone I have to keep up an image for the press and to make sure my family doesn¡¯t come dragging me back to our planet.¡± He waved it off as we had had this conversation many times already regarding my need to wear formal-ish cloths. I stopped glaring at him when I smelled the sweet scent of coffee and almost ran to the kitchen. Seeing Illyuz¡¯s AI body there I was happy since that meant I was allowed coffee today. ¡°Hurry up and eat we only have today and tomorrow until college officially starts¡±, Illyuz¡¯ said. After which we all sat down and ate in a quick but steady manner, well Illyuz¡¯ didn¡¯t but that was fine as AI bodies don¡¯t need sustenance these days. I was now starting to feel excited about finally joining my peers in playing Pocket Dungeon as I have always been not allowed to do so by my parents and older sister. It was only a quick ride in a hovercar until we got to our destination GameStep the place where everything gaming is sold. As we got off I noticed that Illyuz¡¯ was already back in digital form and his body was safely stored in my DSU aka the Dimensional Storage Unit. We looked around the small store and was quickly approached by the shopkeep. ¡°What are you looking for today sir and madam¡±, asked the employee. Tet cracked up as I sighed, this had happened multiple times before because of my body shape, more slender profile, and long hair I was often mistaken for a female while Tet with his built body is sometimes thought as my bodyguard or in some instances boyfriend. This often causes me to cringe and him to laugh. I clarified the situation saying, ¡°I am a male mister and we are looking for a Pocket Dungeons file and some packs and extensions if you will.¡± He quickly apologized and showed us the list of boosters packs while Illyuz¡¯ was compiling the data. I scrolled through the list and picked the best Realistic Physics Engine there was on the market. Hearing a faint groan of, ¡°of course¡±, from Tet. Next, I asked Illyuz about the amount of money I could use before they noticed and he said, ¡°get however many you want I¡¯ll tell you when it gets a bit too much.¡± Hearing that I looked through the list one more time and picked out the Faith system which allows for things like divinity and faith to be used as an energy source. At the same time, I picked out the Extreme Biomes Pack which I will have to be careful about mixing with the Physics Engine. At first, I didn¡¯t know if I wanted to go in the sci-fi or fantasy route yet since I was better suited towards sci-fi but wanted to do fantasy since I wanted magic. So I compromised and decided to go for a fantasy world base with races and biomes leaning more towards the sci-fi department. To work towards this goal I picked up the Extensive Mana Pack and Extra Elemental Affinities Pack. With the main fantasy elements done I selected the Revised Steampunk Pack which also houses sentient clockworks and other interesting creatures I¡¯m looking forward to studying. My world was being fleshed out as I pick pack after pack and now I just wanted a few more creature packs and more personalized packs that I will use to top off everything else. Tet is looking at me like a hungry shark so I better hurry this up. I wanted something like the leylines of general fantasy but didn¡¯t want to have to deal with that cliche so I picked the lesser-known Central Elemental Focus Pack which fulfills the same purpose as leylines just in a different way. After which I bought the Alchemic Creations, Living Plant Life, Aquatic Horrors, and Hollowed Spirits Pack rounding out my creature count with the addition of the default the game gives. Looking at Tet I quickly said, ¡°I¡¯m almost done, just one or two more.¡± I wanted something that I could use to interact and fine-tune my creatures and faction more and as I¡¯m studying in planetary conservation (major) and revival of species through DNA transferal (minor) otherwise known as PC and RSTDC. Fine Modifications Dual Pack for both creatures and systems and the DNA Management Pack looked ideal. Finishing at last after *checking my H.A.W* 30 minutes rounded down of me looking through packs. I stretched and started to get up but was grabbed by Tet and pulled to the counter to pay. I muffled a laugh and looked at his face ¡®shit¡¯, I thought that¡¯s the ¡®I am so going to enjoy what¡¯s coming next face¡¯. ¡®What have I unleashed unto myself¡¯... Chapter 2 – Realism is Difficult After being dragged back to our dorm and setting up the projector I was bombarded with questions regarding what I was planning since my creature packs didn¡¯t match with my choice of energy pack at all. Tet also questioned my long pick time for packs, I gave him a look and moved on to world generation while turning on my physics engine and extreme biomes pack. I then noticed the reason behind his face of absolute smugness a few minutes ago. This game is filled with customizable options and features. I¡¯m sure my face showed my delight and mortification at this realization as I heard laughter from Illyuz¡¯, Tet, and Osprey who seemed to have returned from whatever errand Tet sent her off to. ¡°Don¡¯t spend forever on this, the next parts also have a ton of settings for you to mess around with so I just request that you finish this before tomorrow,'''' said Tet sounding quite serious for once. Knowing that I only had two days to get my world running was an unhappy thought but that being said, I always worked better under pressure. ¡°Illyuz¡¯ can you get me some coffee? The ones with 2 shots of espresso and iced preferably, I¡¯m gonna do an all-nighter.¡± I said acknowledging my work self surfacing. ¡°Boss¡¯ I know that arguing won¡¯t help but please get some sleep tomorrow, okay? Celestia Universal College is not going to be kind and I want you to come in with at least some level of rest¡±, Illyuz¡¯ pleaded.

[World Customization:] [Please take this time to customize your world.] [Step 1 (Modified due to Pack): World Set Up
¡°Very well¡±, I said. Waving off the request and making sure to set an alarm for tomorrow before I completely lost my focus on the outside world. I heard footsteps and hushed conversations before I lost all connection with outside sources and focus on the job at hand. First I noticed that I could either do a completely manual terrain generation or an algorithmic assisted one or a combination of both. I decided to do the last one as in some situations programs won¡¯t be able to recreate my ideas. I first made the solar system that my planet would be housed in, I adjusted the settings until the magical sun would be far enough away from the inner regions of my universe and in a blank stretch of space free from other major stars. Giving it almost no chance of getting caught in dangerous foreign gravitational pulls, gamma-ray bursts, or supernovas. Next, I tweaked the composition of the solar star that would allow for life on my planet, I added a source of energy in the epicenter of the star allowing it to sustain itself on the pretty much infinite supply of faith I would soon create. I had to do this because if I wanted my physics engine to work alongside my other packs to create a possible world I needed to trick the system a little. You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version. After getting my sun up and working I quickly plugged in the coordinates to the system calculator for the goldilocks zone and it showed me the area where I could build my planet. I picked a place where starting off my planet would be to the exact North of my sun thus allowing for more exact measurements for the speed and time of a cycle around the sun. The location found I created the particles I would need for the collapse and coalition of the core of the planet. Before doing so I made sure to copy what I did with the sun during this phase as well since I didn¡¯t want my planet losing its magnetic field after a few billion years. The minerals I added were mostly normal radioactive and magnetic materials though I did include some magical materials such as the crystalized radiation crystals from the radioactive wasteland biome of the Extreme Biomes Pack. After which I had to create the mantle and crust which was easily done by putting in the desired thickness of each layer into the Realistic Earth program from the Physics Engine. For the tectonic plates under the crust layer, I randomized the layout with a few prerequisites being that there had to be at least 1 Earthquake-prone zone such as the real-life ring of fire. I also made it so that there must be a few volcanic areas that were randomized 20:80 on whether they were active or dormant. This done I only needed to plan out my underwater areas, I plugged in the ratio of land to water as 40:60 then had the program randomized elevation as all things above 0 (which was set as the sea level) to be land and all things under zero to be underwater. This program then created undersea ravines and cave systems, it also had the side effect of creating underwater mountains and valleys. Of course, I also made an exception for shorelines and other such places where the elevation levels must slope or change through time. To make sure that I could stabilize the planet¡¯s climate and that it wouldn¡¯t have an ice age every few ¡°myrietes¡± (word meaning 10,000 thousand years in Greek). I check the angle of axial wobble and decided to add 2 moons that would allow for a more stable climate but more varied tidal patterns. The last thing to do before I get to the real terrain generation ¡®*deep breath*¡¯ ¡®I have to make an ozone layer¡¯. Now I could do this the old fashion way by introducing a type of plant-like organism that will automatically create it through time. But I would much rather just make the whole thing at once which allows me to reinforce and stabilize it without waiting. I thus set down a blueprint of a spherical layer of oxygen and other gasses and dust that would help to form and keep the layer there. But as I knew that my soon to be sapients could cause issues to the layer I asked the system to remind me at a later stage to make the layer self-sustainable. With a check of my H.A.W, I noticed that it was only 4 hours of work making this 11:30 AM. Pretty good time considering my track record with things such as this. My senses and connection to the outside world were slowly returning. The first thing I noticed was the large cup of black ice coffee that was nearly finished and a group of idi-*cough brave explorers who were looking at the projection of my solar system and zooming in and out to see my planet. ¡°Guys I need some food, a drawing pad, and more coffee please, it is now time to hurry through the actual terrain generation part and get my pocket dungeon finished¡±, I said hearing the tired tone I usually get after a session even though I tried to hide it. Tet gave me a thumbs up and pushed me to get off my seat and go to the dining table to eat an early lunch. We all took a 20 or so minute break and as I got back to work I noticed that I was smiling looking around showed that we all were ¡®maybe I will become a professional dungeon master after all¡¯. Chapter 3 - Decisions, Decisions…
[Step 1 (Default): Terrain Generation]
I sat down and looked over my world once again, right now it just looks like Earth but with two moons, different underwater geography, and flat ground wherever there is any ground. So I looked over my options and noticed that I didn¡¯t simulate continental drift or erosion yet so I¡¯ll do that in a second. I first did the settings for generating landmasses, I made it so that there would have to be at least 4 big continents with multiple islands ranging from Japan to Australia sized and that they all had to be between the 2 polar zones which house the poles. That done I randomized a few times and found one that would work well for my idea. The map I choose was then sent through the erosion and continental drift program which produced my final world layout. I very quickly sketched the map on my drawing pad and marked some areas of it I planned on using for certain biomes. Though I did have a few I didn¡¯t know what to do with which I will just leave that up to the system and the RNG gods. -Image- (For the people who enjoy getting a word explanation to this map - If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. The two polar biomes containing the world poles are at the top and bottom, The top left-hand corner houses some islands with a Japan-like island the biggest in the group of three. Below that is 2 big continents that look like Australia for the top one and like 2 animal heads glued to a rectangle for the bottom one. On the right side is a big supercontinent similar to Afro-Eurasia with a small offshoot from the top that looks like a gear. Next to that is a South America look-alike with some islands. Below the supercontinent is some smaller islands around Saudi Arabia size.) (I couldn''t figure out how to put the image in here if anyone knows please tell me as I am semi-proud of my work in making the dang map.) Tet seeming annoyed with my lack of progress for the 10 minutes it took me to draw the map said, ¡°Hey Nadezh, what does that map even mean it looks like gibberish to me.¡± I stared and shook my head, ¡°Of course it does, you and your peanut of a brain- ¡°Bro! Low move¡±, Tet yelled interrupting. ¡°-can¡¯t possibly understand, well let me help you out my intellectually challenged friend. The top and bottom of the map with those big spanning continents are the North and South pole of my world. All of the yellow-highlighted areas are sea areas I plan to make into special/specific biomes and the pink dots are there to remind me to put a Central Focus there. Oh, I almost forgot the question marks are for the areas I don¡¯t know what to do with for now I¡¯ll just wait for the program to deal it out later and see if I get any ideas from that¡±, I explained with fond exasperation in my tone. Anyway onto ¡ú Chapter 4 - Generic Names
[Step 2 (Modded): Central Focus Generation]
This step was an important one because it would determine the concentration of certain elemental magic around it. This would also theme the land surrounding that central focus to a type such as a snowy forest, a very common but useful type for ice monsters. The reason behind why I chose this over the leyline pack because it doesn¡¯t allow powerful sentients to abuse the power. Well not easily at least the method of doing this is chosen by the dungeon master but the mod pack allows for rules and restrictions to be laid down on the field of magic the focus creates and how it can be used or assigned to a monster/sentient to guard it. I could even designate the focus as an origin/spawn point for an elemental and set a spawn rate for it depending on how pure the focus is. I first did some manual focus generation with emphasis put on the zone of the effect only being on the areas I wanted it to be in. For example, I placed a 50% time, 40% metal, 9% percent crystal, and 1% chaos elemental focus on the gear shape offshoot of the main continent. I made it so that the area of effect would only be that continent and the shore area around it even putting in a barrier with a source of energy the same as that of the Sun¡¯s and the planet¡¯s to keep sentients out and only allowing entry through the passageway connecting the gear land to the main continent. While doing this I thought to give names to all of the things that I have created so that I could get used to them faster since I didn¡¯t want to keep on saying the moons or the sun. I asked the rest of the team about naming ideas but all of us are terrible with names. Tet is just too uncreative and blunt simply wanting to name them sun, moon 1, moon 2, etc. Illyuz and Osprey make names too cute and unrealistic like Lulu (moon), Eddy (supposedly because it sounds similar to Red-y I don¡¯t want to know), etc. Mine are usually hard to pronounce and based on ancient history or rare languages. So I just decided to make an executive decision to used thematically fitting, slightly boring, but appropriate names. The sun is Soliel, one moon Lunair the other Lulier I wanted it to be more meaningful so I went and change one of the moons to be a red magic material and the other to be a silvery-blue one both magic crystals with one being more death based (the red one) and the other being a holy/life-based. I also named the gear continent the Time Spiral which doesn¡¯t make sense for the spiral part but it rolls off the tongue well so whatever. After getting that all finish I went back to placing focuses I placed one in the middle of the main continent in the river running across it making it a 50% water, 20% nature, 20% earth, and 10% balance which I hoped would allow for a good mix of monsters that would be more of a natural standard fantasy type. ¡°Nadezh¡¯ wouldn¡¯t that just make a seasonal landscape?¡± Illyuz¡¯ asked, startling me. ¡°Why would it?,¡± I questioned. ¡°Cause the water part is only gonna affect the river and elemental affinities of any sentients but the rest would mix and create a balance in nature and since you added earth that would be like seasons, wouldn¡¯t it?¡± Illyuz¡¯ answered making me realize my mistake. But this could actually be an opportunity, going with the seasonal idea I split the continent again into four parts by both making a dead zone where there is a metal road going from the entrance from the time focus continent stopping at the river continuing by a metal bridge onto the other side and assigning a smaller focus to each zone. For the 2 on the top I made the left one a winter-based land by putting a 100% ice focus in the middle of it and the right one I put a 100% fire-based focus. This would be my summer and winter lands, while on the bottom left I made an Autumn biome by using a 50% wither (which I got from the More Elemental Affinities Pack) and 50% wind focus I, of course, adjusted the settings so that the wither affinity was a little scaled-down and would only cause the leaves of the soon to be created trees to be changed to autumn leaves and not die altogether. For the spring biome, I made the focus 50% life and 50% earth which would make everything bloom and be energetic there. If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. The main continent finished I made a mountain range blocking the way to the next continent and put a focus there with a randomized type for a split 50:50 percent cause I didn¡¯t want to screw myself over if I got a full 100% chaos focus or something. I got a 50% holy and 50% light¡¡¯okayyy¡¯ so looks like the rng system isn¡¯t so random after all because if that combo was random than I have had to have the best luck ever or something. I quickly labeled the land the ¡°Celestial Plane¡± since it seemed fitting. I zoned the focus so that it would only cover the ¡°Celestial Plane¡± and the mountain range between it and not the main continent/¡°Eternal Seasons Domain¡± (I didn¡¯t name this one it was Osprey). I wanted to keep everything separate so I put a single tall mountain I made the biggest in the world, including under the sea, unlike real-life, on the pathway to the next zone and added a focus of 60% earth to 30% metal and 10% order (another of the More Elemental Affinities Pack) which should make it a really important place so another name was made ¡°Mount Skyward¡± which was okay for our group. I put the 10% order in there because I already knew what I wanted to do for the next continent I was making an Eldritch/Zerg/Poisonous Alien biome with a highly likely chance that it will be an invasive species and unfriendly to other sapients so some natural barriers before the other races get strong enough to deal with it would be good. So making the danger zone itself took some work. First I made a big lake directly in the middle of the continent which I put 2 pure (meaning it is 100% of an element) focuses in. The lake contained 1 poison (which was in a mist form perpetually making this place toxic) and the other containing chaos which will probably cause a ton of mutations and horrific abominations (Illyuz and Tet were cheering as I looked at Osprey and we both shook our heads simultaneously sighing). I also put a 50% dark and 50% death focus which will compliment the other 2. One final thing before I move on, I created small rivers running from the lake I put all the focuses in and spreading them all over the zone thus making a place that is pretty much a death trap to anyone not born and adapted to survive there. I then repeated the pattern of making a mountain range to block the connection between the Eldritch-like zone to the next continent. Which looking as I got a celestial-like zone after my central continent I thought to make into the ¡°Netherworld¡± which would make sense lore-wise. I added a 50% to 50% infernal and dark focus to the place which also extended to the mountain range that was between it and the Eldritch region. I named this the Netherworld for obvious reasons and the Eldritch zone the Nightmarish Wasteland again for obvious reasons. A big chunk of my world finished at this point I moved quickly to do the rest. I made the big island to the right of the Nightmarish Wasteland my Living Plant Life Pack playground where I planned to put most of the creatures from that pack. I added a pure life focus to the area which I named Platuena Oraleas which I got from one of the fairy kingdoms of old story lore. Next, I did the islands below the Netherworld continent which I named Infernal Chain since it was sitting directly over what would be the equivalent to the ring of fire area of real Earth meaning they would experience earthquakes and volcanic eruptions frequently. I added a single focus which I made include the whole island chain in its zone a 50:50 split of fire to earth thus expatiating the gimmick. That done I moved on to the Japan lookalike chain of islands and took inspiration from real-life Japan to make it a spirit land or in this case yokai based land where I would try to create things like kitsunes, kappa, oni, etc. I added 2 pure focuses of the spiritual and metal types because I wanted to represent both the magical and technological aspects of Japan. I liked the country and wanted to respect its history and culture, ¡°stop laughing Tet, I know I¡¯m a history buff, shut up!¡± Below that in the Australia-like continent (which makes me think that the world generation is really not that random) I just added a pure nature focus which I attuned more towards the deadly fauna type than the beautiful flora type because it¡¯s freaking Australia the place with a thousand things that want, can, and will kill you. I don¡¯t have names for these yet so I¡¯ll just let the sentients name them themselves after they figure out language and such. For the final continent (besides the poles and any other zones I want to make) that looked like two animals sewed into one I split it down the middle and made a stretch of land that is inhabitable thereby putting a pure focus of death that extended a little to the side and up and down the middle of the continent. I then added one less pure focus at a 20:80 ratio percentage on each side of the island with a metal to nature attunement. I left the name to the sentients because I was running out of thematically fitting name ideas. For the poles, I added an 80:20 ice to nature focus for each of the poles and made them more powerful too cover all of the ground. Chapter 5 - Almost Done… I then created the focuses that are not on the continents/landmasses. I first went through my mental library for ideas regarding creating biomes outside of landmasses as I needed inspiration for things to create. I saw something that sounded extremely appropriate for my world and situation. I first found the biggest open space in my world¡¯s ocean outside of the area I set aside for my version of the Mariana Trench. My system showed an area below the ¡®Eternal Seasonal Domain¡¯ that is lacking in mana circulation which I will soon change. I started with, placing a pure crystal, dreamscape, and astral focus down. Then I combined that with a half storm and half dust focus. Which after I finished setting up the zones for I waited to see what the system would generate. I zoomed in as my friends peered over my shoulder to see the clouds above the ocean gravitate together into a hurricane which then spread apart gaining area but maintaining its windspeed, rainstorm, and lightning power. This continued until the hurricane was already above a 5th Catagory like Katrina in wind speed at 250 mph and stopped at the size of hurricane Sandy the largest hurricane ever recorded at 1,000 miles in diameter. The hurricane created, the system then applied the dust part of the focus by materializing then solidifying the dust into many islands of different sizes where then the crystal and astral focuses activated. To keep the islands floating and not getting eroded by the wind speed or any of the hurricane¡¯s environmental disasters the system used the crystal focus to make the islands more gemstones than dirt or stone which makes it able to resist the hurricane. Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences. The astral focus is then applied by combining it with dreamscape and creating a zone of illusion magic and giving an individual isolation layer for each island that allows for each island to be a different biosphere where my creatures can evolve without outside influence. This done it is time for a name I discussed with my friends for a few minutes and we all agreed on the ¡®World¡¯s Astral Eye¡¯ which is... fine. I then went and made my deep ocean biomes at the areas I already marked out on the map. One is a Mariana Trench look-a-like while the other is a deep underwater cavern that is ginormous for what¡¯s its purpose is. Where I put down 2 pure focuses one being darkness and the other being water which should mix well with the environment and each other. Next, I did the beaches and coasts such as around the ¡®Yokai Island¡¯ and the river splitting the main continent in two. I then put a pure but weakened chaotic focus that is set to only work for the coast around the island since I wanted to reference the radiation of the coast around real-life Japan. Finally, I added a pure balance focus on each of the river¡¯s estuary where I hoped that it would keep the river water filled with powerful mana to flow out to the ocean since it would dilute all of the mana out of the water and fixing my issue. I almost forgot but I finished off this step by creating my cursed zones. My ¡®Bermuda Triangles¡¯ if you will...that was a bad pun Set just punched me...Anyway, I spread the areas out and put three pure focuses of darkness, chaos, and water that is mixed together and then added to the middle of the area I wanted it to be in. Finally, I set up a random generator for focus placement but these have been toned down which should give me some ¡®normal¡¯ biomes later and made my ozone layer self-sustainable by adding many obelisks around my world in certain locations that I later added a purre wind focus to. Thus keeping my ozone layer renewable and safe from sentient attack. Chapter 6 - Finally!
[Step 3: Biome Generation (Modded with Extreme Biomes Pack)]
I celebrated in my head and then got back to work since the rest of the crew is staring at my hands and waiting for me to continue with the process since we¡¯ve been here for hours at this point and they want me to finish. I started by specifying the Equator and the Prime Meridian which should help the program with putting down biomes. That done I gave the system free reign on the generation as I am not a biome engineer. It took a while since my world was so complex and I had so many mods running. During that time I refilled my coffee and discussed with the group regarding creature placement and what I should focus on for creature traits. *5 minutes later When the system finally finished it gave me this list of biomes:
[Automatic Biome Generation Complete]
[Default Biomes:] [Fantastical Biomes:]
[Terrestrial] - Tundra (2) Polar Ice (2) Rainforest (6) Savanna (5) Taiga (3) Temperate forest (7) Temperate Grasslands (5) Alpine (3) High Mountains (3) Desert (4) Volcanic Islands (4) [Extreme Biomes] - Polarizing Arctic Oasis (2) Eldritch Lake (1) Radioactive Wasteland (1) High World Mountain (1) Celestial Mountain Range (1) Infernal Mountain Range (1) Extreme Fauna World (1) Extreme Flora World (1) Mutant Coast (1)
[Default Magic Biomes] - Magic Forests (7) Magical Caves (10)
[Aquatic] -This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. Freshwater (9) Freshwater wetlands (4) Marine (6) Coral reef (5) Estuaries (4) Abyssal (7) [Unique Biomes] - Astral Storm (1) Abyssal Rift (1) Abyssal Cavern (1) Celestial Plane (1) Infernal Plane (1) Steamworks Time Gear (1) Eternal River (1) Seasonal Landscape (4) Otherworld Spirit Islands (1) Divided Lands (1)
It was exceptionally beautiful when generated as the color spread throughout my world and I felt the joy of creation coursing through me as a mother or painter (or writer) would with their baby or masterpiece(s). I looked over the world again as with the biomes came the default flora that was automatically added. I then thought over whether I wanted anything else added and asked the others as well. We all agreed that it was fine as it was but I thought of some cool biomes to add when we finally get some creatures like a giant turtle or whale island that could fly. I then had an epiphany and went to add a layer of mist that is transparent but made with a chemical similar to Helium that I was setting up for a certain plan of mine. I added this mist layer at 2 different places around Yokai Island and Astral Storm as they were going to be my testing grounds for my plan. I also added a few Easter eggs in the shape of magical libraries enchanted to fill up with whatever knowledge my sentients find and the story of this world¡¯s creation heavily edited, of course. (¡®Hey Illyuz here don¡¯t tell Nadezth that I did this but I added a small piece of land on the spring part of the central continent that is pretty much the candy land of Adv*nture L*nd.¡¯*Laugh. ¡®I can¡¯t wait for him to find it.¡¯ *Giggle.) ...I don¡¯t know why but I feel like someone is playing with me. *Looks around suspiciously. That step finished we all looked at one another in surprise as that was surprisingly fast for me as I usually take a long time making things exactly the way I want it to be.
