 The Beginning

    Hi, my name is Ivy Starr. I just turned 17 years old. I have shoulder length brown hair and my eyes are like the color of emeralds. I usually trip over things all the time. I''m about 5''4 and I''m not the best with making friends. I get bullyed a lot. I''m not like other people. Im a freak. At least that''s what people tell me. No one really knows that I get bullyed except for Ruby, she''s the only friend I really have. She has blonde hair and we''re both juniors in high school. It''s Monday which means that I have to go to school. It started off like a normal day, but that soon changed.


    A voice yelled, "Ivy! Ivy, get up!" My bedroom door opened and someone stepped into my room. "You have to get up you have to go to school!"


    Your probably wondering who this person is. Her name''s Hazel, she''s my mom. Well she''s my foster mom. My foster dads name is Jack and they have two kids named Zack and Amber. Zack is six and Amber is seven, I guess they are like my siblings. Sometimes I''ll call my foster parents by there real names and sometimes I''ll refer to them as mom and dad.


    My parents gave me up when I was about three and I don''t know why. I don''t really remember them. My foster parents say that they died but I don''t know if that''s true or not. I guess it is.


    My thoughts were interrupted by my mom saying, "So help me if you don''t get up and get ready for school I''ll throw water on you." I just continued to lay there not saying anything.     Just then I felt a bunch of cold water being poured on me. I jummped out of bed, screamed and said, "Really?!" My mom didn''t reply she just stood there laughing at me. A few seconds passed and two kids ran into my room and tackled me to the ground. I said, "Hi, Zack. Hi, Amber." They stood up said hi then ran out of the room.


    Jack came into my room and I was still laying on my back from Amber and Zack tackling me. Jack said, "Your going to be late for school if you don''t hurry Ivy."


    "I don''t want to go to school," I complained. With that I stood up.


    Hazel said, "I know you don''t. You never do but you need to go." Jack left the room and came back with a bucket filled with water. Before I got the chance to move he threw it on me.


    I said, "What was that for! Hazel already threw water on me."


    While laughing Jack said, "I know. It just seemed like fun so I did it to." They left my room and he yelled over his shoulder, "Get ready for school." I did what he told me to and then went downstairs.


    My mom said, "Eat something before you leave."


    "I can''t, I have to leave now," I replied. Before anyone could say anything else I grabbed my backpack and left. When I got about a block away from my house I looked around and noticed two girls following me. I noticed that it was Nikki and Heather, two of the people who would bully me.


    They ran up to me and said, "Where are you going?"


    I looked straight ahead and said, "To school."


    Nikki said, "Why, it''s not like you have any friends there. No one likes you why bother going." I tried my best to ignore them and kept walking. They walked with me all the way to school saying things like if I left no one would notice.


    When we finally got to school Heather yelled, "Have fun by yourself." With that they ran off and Ruby approched me.


    She asked, "Are you ok?"


    I said, "I''m fine. Come on we have to get to class."

 Moving away

    The school day passed slowly like it usually does. I only have first hour with Ruby so the rest of the time I''m by myself or people start picking on me.


    The bell rang dismissing us from are last hour. I left the classroom nand went to meet Ruby. A few minutes later I saw her standing at the end of the hallway. When I reached her I went to take a step forwarded but someone tripped me.


    Ruby helped me up and we turned to see who tripped me. A guy was standing there looking at us. I asked "What do you want Jett?"


    He looked around and then back at me and Ruby. Then he asked, "Why are you still here?"


    "Your the one who tripped her," Ruby replied.


    Jett said, "No one wants you here. Leave."


    I took a step towards him and said, "And if I don''t."


    "I can do way more then just tripping you," Jett responded.


    I looked at Ruby for a second then looked back at Jett and said, "Like what."


    Ruby said, "Ivy, I wouldn''t."


    Heather came up to us and said, "Correction we can do much worse then tripping you." Heather got behind me and grabbed my arms while I tried to move. Jett grabbed Ruby to stop her from trying to help me.


    Nikki came to us and asked, "Do you want me to do it?" Jett nodded his head and with that Nikki hit me a few times acrossed my face. Then Jett and Heather let go of me and Ruby.Stolen novel; please report.

    Ruby asked, "Why must you do that? Why can''t you just tell someone?"


    "One I''ve tried to tell the teachers before they wouldn''t listen. Two i don''t know why I do it. It''s stupid and idiotic for me to do it but sometimes I still do. I''m going to stop though I shouldn''t talk back to them," I replied.


    Ruby said, "Come on let''s go to your house." We went to my house and when we got inside Zack, Amber, Jack, and Hazel we''re waiting in the living room.


    I asked, "Whats going on?"


    Jack said, "Listen Ivy we love you but we''re sending you to a boarding school."


    I said, "What?!? Why?!?"


    "We just need to. It''s for the best," Hazel replied.


    I asked," Where''s the boarding school?"


    Jack hesitated then said, "It''s in London."


    I yelled, "I''m not moving to London!"


    Jack said, "You can and you will move to London. You leave tommorow so pack your things."


    I stood there staring at them eventually Hazel said, "Ivy, I''m..."


    I cut her off and said, "Don''t say your sorry. My parents all ready gave me up and now your sending me to boarding school. I might as well leave it doesn''t matter." I walked out of the room and Ruby followed me.She helped me pack agianag my will and she slept over that night.


    The next morning my foster parents walked into my room. My foster mom said, "Oh, you guys are already awake. Come on let''s go or we will be late for your flight."


    I said nothing to them and turned to look at Ruby, "I''ll call you."


    Ruby said, "You better. I should go so you can go. Bye"


    She hugged me and I said, "Bye." With that we let go and she left. I said nothing, grabbed my bags and got onto the car.


    We got to the airport and my foster parents said bye and they''ll talk to me soon. I just said bye to them and turned to talk to Zack and Amber. Amber said, "I don''t want you to leave."


    I said, "I don''t really want to leave either. But I have to.


    Zack asked, "Why do you have to?"


    "Because mom and dad are making me," I replied. I said bye to them and got onto the plane.


    I don''t want to go to a new school. I wonder if people will bully me there to. They probably will. I won''t know anyone there. Why would they send me to boarding school?

 The school

    I got of the plane and headed to the school. I eventually found the school after I asked someone where it was. I couldn''t remember the name of it so i guess it''s a good thing that I had a map.


    I went to the principals office. He looked at me and said, "You must be Ivy. Are new student."


    I said, "I guess."


    He asked, "Well are you Ivy or are you not?"


    "Yes, I''m Ivy," I replied.


    He asked "Why did you say I guess?"


    I looked around the room then said, "Because I don''t want to be here."


    He said, "I''m sure you''ll like it here."


    I asked, "What''s the school called again?"


    "Silver Oak, don''t ask me why because I don''t know," The principal replied. We stood there for a second in scilence and then he said, "If you see fighting in the hallway just ignore it. We typically let our students try and solve there own problems." I said nothing and he handed me a piece of paper.This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road.     I looked at it and noticed that it was a schedule. He said, "Your dorm room number is at the bottom of the paper there''s guys on the first floor and girls are on the second floor. I don''t care of your in each other''s rooms during the day but you have to be in your assigned room by midnight.,"


    I nodded my head then left the room. I walked into the dorm building and went upstairs. My room number is 204, it''s the fourth door you come to on the right. I entered the room and noticed a girl sitting on one of the beds. She said, "I''m Aqua." She had long blonde hair with some brown so I''m guessing she dyed it. She had blue eyes with some gray in them.


    I said, "Ivy."


    She said, "So we''re going to be roommates."


    "Looks that way," I replied.


    She said, "Ok, school has been going on for about a week here and we''re done with classes today so you''ll just go to your classes tomorrow. Why did you come here?"


    I said, "My foster parents made me.


    She asked, "Why?"


    I said, "I don''t know. They said something about this is for the best. Whatever that means."


    She said, "I think you''ll like it here. I grew up in New York but I love it here."


    I said, "I lived in Arizona." We started talking about random things and how my last school was and that I didn''t fit in there. It started to get dark so we got something to eat and then went to bed.


    I woke up the next morning and got ready. Aqua looked at me, when I came out of the bathroom after I finished changing into clothes for school, and asked, "Basically everyone has homeroom first. I looked at your schedule and we have the same one." We left and not much happened after that. The day passed slowly people are still mean here to. I guess that''s life and how my life is going to be.

 This was a mistake

    School just got out and Aqua told me to meet her outside of school so I started to head outside. I turned down a hallway and ran into someone. They looked at me and said, "Watch where your going."


    I said, "Sorry"


    The girl looked at me and said, "Your that new girl aren''t you? Ivy, the one who''s parents abandoned her and your foster parents didn''t want you anymore so they sent you here."


    "That''s not why they sent me here," I responded.


    The girl said, "Then why did they?"


    I said, "I don''t know."


    "See so maybe that was why. You don''t belong here. It was a mistake for you to come here," She said. She then pushed me to the left of her and me and a guy hit into each other. The girl just walked off.


    I looked at the guy and said, "Sorry."


    I turned to leave but he said, "Hold on." I turned around and looked at him. He had dirty blonde hair that''s kind of curly and blue eyes.


    I asked, "What do you want?"


    He looked at me for a second and then said, "Nothing. I did see what she did and said to you though."


    I said, "Good for you."


    He asked, "You seem kind of used to this. So are you?"


    I said, "Yeah kind of."


    He said, "That''s not good."


    "I''ll live," I replied. I started to walk off and he started walking with me.


    He said, "I guess, but it''s not a good thing that your used to it."

    She said, "Hi Ivy."


    I said, "Hey."


    She looked at the guy standing next to me and said, "So I see you''ve meet Zane."


    I turned to him and said, "So that''s your name."


    He said, "Yeah " He looked at Aqua and said, "We kind of ran in to each other." With that he told her what happened.


    I said, "I probably shouldn''t have come here. It probably was a mistake."


    Aqua and Zane said simultaneously, "No it wasn''t."


    "You have two people who already like you and are your friends you''ll be fine, "Aqua replied.


    Zane said "Let''s head over to my room and we can hang out and work on honehome or something."


    I asked, "Will your roommate be there?"


    "No, I don''t have a roommate like. I live by myself in one of the rooms. A couple people do that because there''s not even amounts of boys and girls and they don''t want a girl and a guy sharing a room with each other," Zane replied.


    I said, "Makes sense I guess." Me, Jax, and Aqua went to Zanes room.


    When we got there we kind of did are homework but mainly we talked to each other and watched movies. It was about eight at night when Zane asked, "So you haven''t seen much of London yet Ivy?"


    I looked at him and said, "No."


    He said, "I moved here when I was about thirteen with my parents but when I got old enough to go to Silver Oak they left moved back to where we are originally lived. Anyway I know the city pretty well, so does Aqua. Let''s go"


    I asked, "Go where?"


    "To show you around London," Zane replied


    We stood up and I asked, "Where did you live before here?"


    Zane said, "Georgia." With that we all left Zane room and called a cab. When the cab showed up Zane told the driver to drive Into London and when we are in the main part of the city to pull over. The cab driver did what he was told and we got out of the cab.


    We all stood in the middle of London on the sidewalk. We started walking and looking around at there buildings and looking on the different shops. After about an hour a guy approched us. He looked at me and asked, "Are you Ivy Starr?"


    I said, "Depends on who''s asking."


    He handed me an envelope and said, "Your parents tracked me down and gave me this to give to you."


    I said, "As far as I know my birth parents are dead and my foster parents are in Arizona."


    He said, "Your birth parents gave it to me. They aren''t dead." He showed me a picture of my real parents with him and said, "This was taken this morning."


    I asked, "Ok so why didn''t they give it to me themselves?"


    He said, "They''re hunting something, and there also on the run."


    I asked, "What are the hunting and why are they on the run?"


    The guy said, "I''ve said to much already." A bus pulled up next to us and a lot of people got off. When the people left we turned back to face the guy but he was gone.


    Aqua said, "That was weird."


    Zane said, "Yeah it was."


    I said, "Come on let''s get out of here." We called a cab and it took us back to the school. We went up to mine and Aquas room.


    Zane asked, "Are you going to open it?"


    I said, "I don''t know. Should I?"


    Aqua said, "Go for it."

 The Note

    I opened the envelope and found a note inside. Zane said, "Read it."


    I read, "Ivy, we haven''t been entirely truthfull. We aren''t dead, we just had to dissaper. We couldn''t take you with us, it would have been to dangerous for you. Your foster parents work with us but you can''t ask them for any questions about what''s happening. You won''t get any answers from them, they aren''t aloud to tell you anything that they know because they don''t know everything that''s happening. Your foster parents had to send you away because they have found you. Find Zane and Aqua if you haven''t already. They''ll help you and you can help them.


    Jax said, "Me and Aqua met through are parents work. They said that we would join them one day. They would talk to us about two people that they worked with who had a daughter named Ivy."


    Aqua said, "One day they started training us to fight and eventually told us that you weren''t with your parents anymore and haven''t been for a long time. They told us that they had two dissaper when all three if us were relatively young and that you lived with foster parents."Enjoying this book?     Aqua looked at the time and said, "It''s getting late." With that Jax said bye and left to go back to his dorm.


    The next morning I woke up to a knock on our door. I looked at Aqua and she was still asleep. I got up and opened the door but there wasn''t anyone there. I looked around and noticed a folded piece of paapa in front of the door. I picked it up and Aqua asked, "What that?"


    I turned around and she was standing behind me. I said, "A piece of paper."


    She asked, "What does it say?"


    I unfolded it and said, "It says watch your backs."


    "That''s weird but we probably should watch our backs," Aqua responded.


    I said, "Let''s get ready for school and find Zane."


    After we got ready we met Zane on the school grounds and told him about the note. He said, "If something else happens that''s weird like a note or something, we need to contact the other two and meet up in one of our rooms and figure out what happened and what to do." Me and Aqua agreed and we got each other numbers so we can contact each other, since we don''t have all of our classes together. After doing that we all went to class.

 The guy

    The school day passed slowly, as usual. Just ten more minutes and I could meet up with Zane and Aqua since this is the last class of the day. Our teacher, Mrs. Smith, instructed us to put the textbooks away but to keep quiet until we can leave.


    I looked down at my phone to see if Zane or Aqua had texted me. They haven''t. I texted Zane to see if anything new has happened. I was about to text Aqua when the classroom door opened and a guy walked into the class.


    He was dressed in all black and looked like he was in his twenties, maybe older but it was clear that he didn''t go to school here. I watched as he walked up to Mrs. Smith and started talking to her.


    I looked back down and a few minutes passed then the teacher called me up to her desk. I grabbed my backpack and walked up to where her and the guy we''re standing. I looked at Mrs. Smith and asked, "Is there a problem Mrs. Smith?"


    "No Ivy, there isn''t. This is Jay Miller. He says he wants to talk to you," Mrs. Smith respond


    I glanced at the guy and asked, "Why?"


    Mrs. Smith said, "I don''t know, since class is almost over that''s between you and him."


    I turned to face him and he said, "Come with me Miss. Starr." He turned and walked out of the class and I followed him. My phone went off and I looked at it. It was Zane, he said that nothing new has come up and he asked me if something new has come up so far with me regarding what is happening. I was about to respond when Jay said, "Don''t answer that. Do not text."


    I asked, "Why Jay?"


    He said, "Do not call me Jay. It''s Mr. Miller to you and because I can''t have anyone else knowing your with me yet until I leave." I went to ask why but before I could he said, "Don''t ask questions. Shut up and listen to me. We can make this really simple or we can make it hard."


    He started walking and I wasn''t going to follow him but he yelled at me to and given I don''t know who he is or what he could do to me I followed him. We eventually came up to a car, that was about four blocks away from the school and my dorm, and he said, "Get in."


    I said, "No. I don''t know who you are or what you want. I''m not getting in that car with you."


    "Smart girl. To bad your parents had to send you away...well your real parents. They could have trained you to fight better," He replied.


    I looked at him slightly confused, "What do you know about my parents?"


    I watched as his eyes flased red and he said, "More then you know." I stood there and watched as his eyes got really red and then slowly went back to normal."


    I stood there spaced out for a couple minutes not sure what to do. Did his eyes actually turn red for a few seconds? Did I just imagine them turning red because of all the other werid stuff that has halhappe so far? I snapped out of it when Jay said, "If I were you I''d be careful with what you say or do around me. One wrong move and it won''t end well for you.


    My phone has already gone off about fifty different times while I''ve been with this guy. I figured if I pulled it out or answered it he could or would hurt me.     Before I could respond a girl from acrossed the street yelled, "Hey Ivy, who are you with?"


    Jay wispered, "Who''s that?"


    I said, "umm..a girl in one of my classes."


    He thought for a second and then said, "Tell her I''m your cousin, now. If you don''t things won''t end well for either of you."


    I yelled at the girl so she could hear me, "Hes just my cousin." She stood there staring at us like she didn''t believe me. She then started walking towards us and Jay meet her half way.


    The girl said, "Your her cousin."


    Jay said, "Yeah, we we''re just going to go get something to eat."


    "Oh ok, have fun," The girl replied. With that she walked off and as Jay watched to make sure she actually left I took off running. Jay turned around and yelled, "Ivy, I''ll find you agiag, it may be to risky to show up at your school again but ill find you." I didn''t bother turning around to look at him I just kept running.


    I wasn''t running in the same direction that the school was in but I didn''t care. I just wanted to get out of there, I''ll go back to the school and my dorm later. It got later and later but I didn''t care I just kept running away. Away from the guy, away from the school, away from everything and everyone. Once it started to get dark I pulled out my phone and looked at the time. It read 8:30, school ended at three.


    I''ve been running most of the time and I don''t understand why. Maybe I figured I couldn''t go back to the school when I first took off because he might change his mind and follow me. If he followed me he could have hurt Zane and Aqua. Is that why? I''m not sure why but I figured it was probably time to go back to the school.


    I realized that I never looked at the texts that I kept getting because I didn''t care. All I could thing about was getting out of there at the time. I looked at all the texts that I had. I probably had like thirty or more. All of them were from Zane and Aqua asking me where I was and if I was ok. I didn''t bother replying to them I just called a cab to come get me.


    It took about an hour for the cab to take me back to my dorm and when I got there Zane and Aqua were both standing in my room when I walked in. I walked up to me and we hugged each other. Aqua asked, "Where were you?"


    I told Aqua and Zane what happened and they just stood there for a few minutes. Zane eventually said, "His eyes turned red."


    I said, "Yeah, do you know why?"


    Zane said, "Not yet, but I do know you two aren''t sleeping in this room."


    Aqua said, "This is our dorm room we have nowhere else to sleep."


    Zane said, "You guys are going to sleep in my room from now on."


    I said, "Zane you know we can''t do that. There''s a rule against that."


    "I don''t care about the rule. I''ll talk to the headmaster tommorow and get her to agree with you guys staying with me. As for tomight your staying with me," Zane replied.


    Me and Aqua ended up agreeing with him after we relirelireal he wasn''t going to give up. Once we got to his dorm room we sat down on the floor. We don''t have school the rest of the week due to a couple classrooms being redone so we sat there talking for awhile. Zane said he''d look online and at the library to see if he could find anything on people''s eyes changing red and things like that. Aqua fell asleep at around midnight but me and Zane stayed up


    When the clock read that it was two in the morning Zane said, "We should go to sleps."


    I said, "I don''t want to."


    He said, "We have to. Look, nothings going to happen and if it does there''s three of us. That''s the main point to having us all in the same room so nothing bad will really happen to us if something does happen all three of us can handle it abd deal with it together."


    "Ok, fine." I replied. With that Zane turned off the rest of the lights and laid down next to me and Aqua. I said, "He''s going to come back isn''t he."


    Zane turned towards me and said, "With the way he said he would and how his eyes turned red, yeah probably but it''ll be fine. We''ll figureout what''s happening. You do seem like the main target though."


    I said, "Ya, I noticed."


    "It''ll be fine with that to though. In the letter it said I''d help you and I will. Aqua will to. WellW all help each other. We might just have to keep a closer eye on you though because as of now it seems like your the main target," Zane replied.


    I said, "Ok."


    Zane said, "Now let''s get some sleep."


    Aqua sat up and said, "Night guys."


    I said, "I thought byou were asleep."


    "I was I woke up about five minutes ago I just didn''t say anything because I didn''t want to. Now I''m going back to sleep," Aqua replied. With that me and Zane told her night and she fell asleep again.


    Me and Zane looked at each other and he said, "Night Ivy."


    I said, "Night Zane."

 The red eyes

    The next morning I woke up to see that Zane and Aqua were gone. I got ready and about an hour later they came back. Aqua said, "Sorry Ivy, we went to see if we could stay with Zane from now on."


    Zane said, "It took awhile but she eventually caved in and said that you guys could."


    I said, "Ok. So what are we going to do today?"


    Zane said, "Well we also looked into the red eye thing. Supposedly there some demoned. According to what we read the go around killing people for no reason but awhile back people started getting sick of it so some people formed a group"


    "The people who joined the group went around and killed them. A couple years after the group was created it turned into more of an organization and hired people to kill them," Aqua responded.


    Zane said, "Eventually the demons got sick of it and started targeting and killing the people in the organization and there families. They aren''t fully demon though. There half human they just choose to let there demoned side control them."


    Aqua said, "The ones who don''t want to be demons and try to fight it usually fail because there demoned side is stronger then there human side."


    I asked, "Ok, and my parents worked for this organization?"


    "Yes, but something went wrong with one of the demons. They tried to kill one of the main ones that was killing people but this one also wanted to control people and basically rule over everything. He got away and so your parents gave you two a couple who worked in the organization and went to find them," Zane replied.


    Aqua said, "But they couldn''t find them so they dissapered but are still trying to find them. That letter was the first that someones heard from your parents in weeks.


    I asked, "And your parents tie into this how?"


    Aqua said, "All of are parents were the first people that they recrutedr and trained when the organization first started."


    I said, "You couldn''t have found all of this online or in books."


    Zane said, "But we did, most people just think that it''s fiction and made up."


    I asked, "Ok, so who exactly was that guy I saw?"This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.


    Aqua said, "The demon that your parents are trying to find has tracked you down and is trying to kill you. That guy was one of them people that follow him."


    Zane said, "His names Axel. Not really a demon name but his parents didn''t find out he was part demon until a few years passed."


    "Your his main target because your parents are the ones trying to kill him. Me and Zane are still targets just not as bad," Aqua responded.


    I asked, "How are they half demoned though?"


    Zane said, "About ten years before all of this happened a demoned fell for a human. The human didn''t realize what he was until after the had a couple kids. When she found this out she tried to leave her husband but he got made and killed her. Soon after he killed her he noticed when his kids got mad there eyes would turn red. As they got older he realized that they were half demoned. After that happened more people became half demons and half humans."


    "They started killing but it wasn''t very noticeable. People noticed that people were getting killed but they didn''t relreal that the half humans half demons were real or that it was happening. After a few years they became careless and that''s when some people noticed and started the organization," Aqua replied.


    I thought for a second and then said, "Ok, so what do we do now?"


    Zane said, "I don''t know come up with a plan to help or something."


    I said, "We should just go I to town and hang out there for awhile."


    Aqua said, "Yeah, have some fun. Not worry about anything for awhile."


    Zane said, "I don''t know they''re looking for us."


    "They already know where we are if they''re going to try something they''d have no problem doing it. Plus wellw be around other people on the town," I responded. After a few more times of going back and forth Zane finally agreed .


    We grabbed some money and called a cab. Once we got into town we went into a couple stores to look at different things but we didn''t buy anything. A couple hours passed and we ended up in a park sitting on the grass.


    I started looking around and noticed that there were a few other people in the park playing games but other then that there wasn''t a lot of people in the park. I looked back to where Zane and Aqau were sitting and looked passed them.


    On the other side of the park stood a guy in all black clothes. He was staring at us. I said, "Guys, I think that''s the guy who tried to have me go with him."


    Zane said, "Weather it is or isn''t we should probably go just to be sure."


    Aqua looked in the direction of the guy, and said, "To late he''s walking over to us." He got to us a couple seconds after she said that.


    He looked at me and said, "Ivy, I told you I''d find you again only this time your with your two friends."


    I said, "We know who you are Jay."


    "That doesn''t matter your coming with me," Jay replied.


    I said, "No I''m not." Right as I said that he adjusted his jacket showing us the handle of a gun.


    Jay said, "Do it." Before any of us could react he grabbed my arm and made me stand up. He then turned me around and moved the gun so it was pointing at my back but know could see it because he covered it to make it look like his jacket was just touching me.


    He started wallwal towards the forest that was a couple blocks away from the park. Zane and Mia stood up and started following us. After a few minutes we were standing in the middle of the forest.


    Jay spun me around so my back was towards him and I was facing Zane and Aqua. He then put me in a choke hold and pressed the gun against my head.

    He looked to where Zane and Aqua were standing and said, "Don''t come closer or I''ll shoot her."


    Aqua took a step forward and said, "I don''t think you will. I think you need to keep her alive to give her to Axel."


    Jay said, "True. Axel wants to kill her himself but I can kill her just as easy and work something out with him."


    "What makes you think he''ll keep you around after you give her to him," Zane replied.


    Jay said, "He won''t. We want similar things, he wants to control people and kill those who get in his way and I want to kill the people who gets in his way."


    Aqua said, "Ok, but once he doesn''t need you anymore he''ll probably kill you." Aqua stepped forwarded and Jay pulled the gun away from my head and shot a bullet between Aqua and Zane. Then he put the gun back against my head.


    He said, "I''m serious about this. Step back." Aqua hesitated but stepped back. Jay turned me so I was facing him then he said, "We have to get going. Don''t follow us or I''ll shoot her then shoot you." Jay started walking pulling me with him.


    After we left Aqua asked, "What do we do now."


    Zane said, "We follow them. They couldn''t have gotten very far."


    Aqua said, "He''ll kill us though."


    "That''s why we follow them at a distance watch Jay and figure out his daily routine and anyone else that will be around Ivy. Once we do that we can figure out how to get Ivy away from Jay," Zane responded.


    He started walking and Aqua said, "I doubt that they''ll stay in London. Within a few days the school will notice that she isn''t here.     Zane said, "True. Guess we''re going on a trip." A few minutes passed and they tracked down me and Jay. I was leaning up against a wall and Jay was talking to a cab driver. They got close enough so they could here what was being said but we couldn''t see them.


    Jay eventually yelled at the driver, "Just leave, we''ll take another cab." The driver stood there for a second then he left.


    I asked, "What was that about?"


    Jay daid, "He won''t take us to where we need to go so we''re taking a different car." A few minutes passed and another cab came. Jay told the guy where to go but I couldn''t hear what Jay said.


    After awhile I noticed that a cab seemed like it was following us but I heard the cab driver say airport so there probably just going to the same airport.


    I asked, "Why are we going to the airport?"


    Jay said, "Don''t worry about it." I said nothing and started looking out of the windows. Every few seconds I''d move my head and look out of a different window.


    The cab driver eventually asked, "Are you ok?"


    Jay said, "She''s fine."


    The cab driver said, "I wasn''t asking you. I was asking her. So are you?"


    I hesitated for a second and then said, "Umm...yeah I''m fine. I just haven''t seen London before."


    "Ok, if you say so," The cab driver replied.


    Jay leaned towards me and wispered, "Stop acting like you''ve been kidnapped or something."


    I said, "I kind of have."


    Jay stared at me for a second and then said, "Whatever. Just stop." I said nothing and stared out the window until we got to the airport.


    Once we we''re inside the airport I asked, "So where are you dragging me to?"


    Jay said, "Shut up." We went through security and then he gave someone the plane tickets. After that we got onto the plan.


    A few minutes later the flight attendant said, "Ok we''re about to take off. Enjoy the flight to Seattle."


    I said, "Your dragging me to Seattle."


    He said, "Yeah, now shut up."


    I asked, "How did you get the gun past security?"


    "I have my ways, now shut up." Jay replied. I looked at him for a second and then slightly turned my head to the right and noticed Zane and Aqua sitting a few rows behind us. They saw that I noticed them so I slightly shook my head no then turned back around.


    They shouldn''t have followed us. If they get caught by Jay or anyone else that works for Axel. He''ll kill them along with me.

 Darkness

    The trip was silent. I don''t think he noticed Zane and Aqua, it''s a possibility though. A while later we arrived at an airport in seatSea and Jay grabbed my arm and started dragging me with him. After a few minutes of us standing in the airport we went outside and he made me get into a car. The car pulled away from the curb. I noticed the windows were tinted, probably so people couldn''t see inside the car. Then everything went black.


    I woke up and I couldn''t see anything everything and everywhere was dark. The darkness surrounded me. It was everywhere. I started to feel around to try and get an idea of where I was. After a few seconds I touched something that felt like a door handle, I pulled on it. Locked, of course it was locked. I continued to feel the walls and eventually found a light switch.


    I flipped the switch and the lights turned on a few moments later. I was standing in a room with cement walls and no windows. Where am I?


    With Zane and Aqua at the airport...


    Zane turned towards Aqua and asked, "How can we lose them like that?"


    Aqua said, "Well...they got off the plane, he took her to the car and then they drove off. He had a car waiting we didn''t have a car."


    "I know that." Zane replied.


    Aqua asked, "How do we find them?"


    Zane asked, "Did she had her phone on her?"


    "Yes, I think she did," Aqua responded.


    Aqua hesitated and said, "I took her phone when she wasn''t looking a couple days after she first told us about the first note. I put a tracker in her phone just in case. I also put a tracker in your phone and in mine."


    Zane said, "I should be mad about you tracking our phones but given the circumstances I''m not. If Jay didn''t do anything to it then I can track it." Aqua said nothing and pulled out her phone.     It''s cold in this room given the cement walls. My phone has a signal but it''s really weak so I can''t call anyone. A few minutes ago I received something on my phone that someone was tracking it. I think it''s Aquas number but I''m not positive because I don''t have her number memorized completely or put on my phone. If it has to be someone I hope it''s Aqua and Zane and not someone else that wants to kill me.


    I was sitting against the back wall withwmy phone behind me. The door slowly started to open. A few seconds later Jay stepped into the room. He looked at me and said, "So I see your awake." I noticed that my phone was sticking out a little bit and that he could probably see it if he wanted to so I tired to push it behind my back more without making it to obvious.


    Of course, he noticed though and grabbed it. He looked at it for a second and then said, "You don''t think I knew you had your phone." He bent down so he was closer to me and then said, "I knew you had your phone this hole time. I know your two friends were on that plane. I''m counting on them finding you. It makes life easier for becabec I don''t have to track them down now. There going to come here thinking there going to save you but I''m just going to kill them then take you to Axel."


    I asked, "Why do you have to kill them?"


    He said, "I don''t, there just in the way. I told them not to come after you or theyd die. I always stand by what I say." He through my phone in my lap and walked out.


    He left the door open so I figured he''d be back. I didn''t dare move because I didn''t know what would happen if I walked out of this room. A couple minutes later Jay came back with a jacket and a blanket. He held them out expecting me to take them. I said, "I''m not taking anything from you."


    "Fine, then freeze," Jay replied. He turned around and set the stuff outside of the room next to the door. He turned around to shut the door and while shutting the door he said, "I''ll be back in a few hours."


    I said nothing and he shut the door and then locked it. I kind of hoped that it would be Aqua and Zane tracking my phone but now that Jay''s confirmed that it''s then and the only reason he''s letting them is so he can kill them I don''t want them to. They''ll keep tracking it tho until they find me though. If they die it''ll be because of me because I''m the one who got taken in the first place and who kind of brought them into this in the first place by telling them about Jay and his red eyes when I first met him. I''m not going to let them die. There not going to die because of me.

 She needs help

    It seemed like forever had past. I don''t know the time, I don''t know if it''s night or day, and I don''t know if Zane and Aqua are still alive. It feels like it''s been forever since Jay was last in here. I don''t know when he''s coming back and I really don''t care. I just want out of this room and I want Zane and Aqua to be ok. They aren''t going to die, not because of me.


    More time passed and I heard the door open. I didn''t have to look up to know that Jay was standing there. He said, "I see you haven''t moved since i''ve last been in here."


    I said, "Why should I? It''s not like I can go anywhere." I looked up at him and noticed that he was holding a tray.


    He looked at me for a second and then said, "I brought you some food." He continued to stand there for a couple minutes before he said, "You should really eat something." He then took a step foward and stood in front of me like he was expecting me to grab the tray from him.


    "I''m not taking anything from you," I replied.


    Jay looked at me then around the room. After a few seconds he looked back at me and said, "Fine. Then don''t. Your two friends should be here soon. Once they get here i''ll let them walk in here and see you, this rooms not hard to find. After they see you I am going to kill them then were leaving to go see my boss."


    I said, "I''m not going to let you kill them." He said nothing and just laughed. With that he went out of the room shutting the door behind him.


    With Aqua and Zane.....


    Zane approched a building with Aqua right behind him. Aqua asked, "Is this where she is?"


    Zane said, "Yes, according to my phone this is it. Let''s go around the back." They walked around the back and managed to find an open window. Zane and Aqua both made sure that they couldn''t see anyone, then they went inside.     One week later..........


    I woke up to the sound of a loud bang. I looked around the room. It wasn''t the room that I was in with Jay, this room was different. It had a wooden floor and ceiling, a mirror, and a bed. Besides the mirror and the bed I was laying on it was kind of an empty room.


    I stood up to go figure out what the bang was and hopefully where I was. As soon as I stood up a sharp pain shot through my side. When I looked down to figure out why I was in pain I noticed that something was under my shirt. I lifted it up a little bit to find that my sides, closest to my hips, we''re wrapped in bandages.


    I walked out of the room and found Aqua and Zane in a room that seemed to be a living room picking up a side table. I asked, "Guys where are we?"


    Aqua said, "Your actually awake."


    I asked, "Why wouldn''t I be?"


    "You''ve been knocked out for about a week," Zane replied.


    Aqua said, "When you stepped in front of us Jay brought his hand down and the blade he was holding cut your side."


    Zane said, "There''s no long lasting damage though we just can''t go anywhere for a few days and have to wait for it to heal a little bit before we leave and get out of town."


    I asked, "Why would we get out of town?"


    Aqua said, "So Jay or anyone else looking for us have a harder time finding us."


    I asked, "Ok, but where are we?"


    Zane said, "Somewhere in a cabin in the woods near the school. One of my friends is letting us stay here as long as we need he just figures that we are done with school and leaving. He doesn''t know anything else."


    "After the blade hit you I screamed then you passed out. We managed to get the blade away from Jay and knoclkn him out. After that we grabbed you and ran," Aqua responded.


    I asked, "So now we just wait until my cut heals more and figure out where to go?"


    Zane said, "Yeah, basically."

    One week later.....


    Not much has happened this past week. So far we have stayed at three different hotels in three different cities. We''re currently staying at a hotel in Miami, Florida. The reason we have changed hotels so much is so that it''s harder for anyone to track us. Weve stopped using are credit cards and just use cash for everything so it''s harder to track us as well.


    All of our parents had a lot of money. Aqua and Zane''s parents gave them a lot of money before they left for college. As for my parents they left a lot of money to me that my foster family gave me when I went off to college. As for my cut it''s mostly healed by now and we''re just trying to figure out what to do next. My though on what has happened this past week we''re interrupted by Zane saying something.


    I turned towards him and said, "Sorry I zoned out. What did you say?"


    Zane said, "I said I might have found away for us to kill them and end this." I got up to where he was sitting with his laptop and sat down next to him.     Zane looked at his laptop and then at us. He said, "The legend tells of this Sapphire Blade and the sides of it are kind of rigged/jagged. The handle is a blue sapphire color with a red dimond in the middle of the handle. It''s supposed to kill demons and other things like that."


    I asked, "Ok, and where is this supposed to be?"


    Zane said, "According to this it''s rumored to be in Los Angeles in a cave on one of the beaches."


    "Ok. I''ll go book three tickets on the soonest flight to Los Angeles," Aqua replied. She then stood up and walked out of the room. A few minutes later Aqua came back in and said, "Ok the flights booked. It leaves at 10 pm so we''ll land somewhere around 2 am in Los Angeles.


    Zane said, "Okay we should pack and head to the airport then."


    I glanced at the clock and said, "Yeah it''s already 8:30pm." Everyone went to pack and by 9pm we checked out of the hotel and headed to the airport.

 The phone call

    A few hours later we landed in Los Angeles and we''re checked into a hotel room.


    Zane said, "We should get some sleep. We can start looking for the blade in the morning."


    Aqua said, "It technically is morning."


    Zane rolled his eyes and then said, "You know what I mean."


    I said, "I need to make a call first."


    Aqua asked, "Who to?"


    "My foster parents," I responded. I picked up the phone and dialed Hazel''s number.


    A few seconds she answered and said, "Hello?"


    I said, "Hi Hazel."


    She hesitated for a second and then asked, "Ivy, who''s phone are you calling on? I don''t recognize the number."


    "I had to get a new phone," I replied.


    She said, "Ok. I just put your on speaker phone so your dad can hear you to."


    Jack asked, "How''s school going?"

    Hazel said, "Ivy, you sound upset just tell us what happened and where you are and we can come get you."


    I yelled though the phone, "No! You had years to tell me the truth and that you were working for my parents but instead you hid it from me!"


    Jack said, "We were just following your parents orders."


    I said, "Yeah well I don''t need your help. I don''t need your protection. I can take care of this myself besides I have my friends to help me with it to!"


    Hazel said, "Ivy..."


    I cut her off and said, "Don''t look for me. We don''t need or want your help. Besides we''ve made it so no one can track us. Goodbye." With that I hung up.


    Aqua looked at me and said, "Are you ok?"


    I said, "Yeah I''m fine. Let''s just get some rest and go after the blade. We have to end this."


    Zane asked, "What happens after we end it?"


    I hesitated then said, " I don''t know. We try to move on with our lives I guess."


    Aqua said, "I''ll get rid of the disposable phone." With that she grabbed the phone and left.


    "I guess it''s a good thing that we bought all of those disposable phones when we got off the plane," Zane replied.


    I nodded my head and a few seconds later Aqua came back in. She said, "Ok I got rid of it. We can buy some more clothes and stuff later let''s just get some sleep right now." With that we all went to sleep

 The cave

    The next morning I woke up and went into the living room. Aqua said, "Me and Zane have decided that it''s a good idea for us to teach you how to fight a little bit better."


    I said, "I already know how to fight."


    "Yeah, but you have to learn to have faster reflexis, after all you did get stabbed with a knife," Zane replied.


    I rolled my eyes and took him down to the ground. He said, "Ok obviously we were wrong. Let''s just go to the cave." I nodded and got a couple flashlights and we left. A couple hours later we arrived at the cave.


    Aqua said, "Ok I read online that the knife is at the very end of the cave and that it''s a really big cave so it''s going to take some time before we get to it." Me and Zane agreed and we started to walk further into the cave. A few minutes later I started to hear voices talking to me


    I asked, "Did you guys hear that?"


    Aqua asked, "Hear what?"

    Zane said, "No why would there be voices, it''s only me, you, and Aqua here." He paused for a second and then said, "Unless it''s true what people say about the cave."


    I asked, "What do they say about the cave?"


    "That it can make you crazy do something about it like knows what your up to and what your trying to avoid. It almost always wins so if you''re actually hearing voices it''s not good and we need to leave," Zane replied.


    I thought for a second and then said, "umm...no I''m not hearing any voices I was just messing around, besides even if I did we can''t leave we have to get the knife to stop all this."


    Aqua said, "okay but if you actually start hearing voices let us know now let''s go." We started walking again and I begin to start thinking.


    I can''t tell them that I''m actually hearing voices. We need to get this knife, I just need to not give in. It shouldn''t be to hard.

 Plan B

    I''m going crazy. That must be it, it''s not the cave it''s me. I''m the problem. The voices tell me so. They also say that I''m going to end up killing my friends.


    Not necessarily me killing them directly but they''ll die and it''ll be my fault. My thoughts were interupted by Aqua saying something that I didn''t hear. I looked at her and said, "Umm...what''d you say?"


    "I asked if you were feeling ok. You look paler then you normally are," She replied.


    I said, "Umm...y-yeah I''m fine."


    Zane said, "You don''t look fine."


    "Y-yeah I''m f-fine. I''m just going to sit down," I replied. I sat down and I could hear Zane and Aqua talking to me but I couldn''t make out what they were saying. Soon after that darkness came over me.
