Hello... Welcome to The Sandbox. I probably said earlier to skip to "Opening Prologue.rtf -- Opened Prologue.rtf" But there wasn''t much to read up there anyways was there? Doesn''t matter though I guess. But I digress. Let''s move on to the main topic now, shall we? To explain this story without giving too much information as to tell you the truth... There is a huge backstory behind all of this.If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. Now this is simple. It''s a story that has Virtual Reality and Fantasy in it. That''s it. You should already have had your fill of information from the Synopsis, no? Hence, we will now delve into the World of Isia; a world of just humans with advanced technology. How advanced you might ask? I''m not gonna bother to go into details but, it''s advanced enough that medical technology has managed to incorporate full-dive virtual reality technology for medical use to suppress the consciousness and needless control of one''s body by making the consciousness do a full dive and practically download themselves onto the network. Isn''t that dangerous, might you ask? Yes it is dangerous, only if the body is in a critical condition however as it has a risk of complete detachment of the consciousness from the body itself, completely killing off the body and permanantly rendering the consciousness deserted in the world wide web network. Tl;dr, it actually isn''t dangerous. Is it difficult to understand the logic behind this one? The only reason why a permanant detachment of the consciousness from the body would occur is if the body itself is extremely close to death to at death. Now then let us reveal the other world. The ''Virtual Reality'' world; Brumane.

Brumane... The RPG world of magic. There is modern weaponary, like guns and even plasma sabers, but there are also ancient weaponary like old-fashion metal swords and wooden bows. Of course since there is magic, there are use of staves that empower said magic besides ones that are used for martial arts. The world is huge, but not infinite. One could say that the simulation could take up many powerful quantum computers. But that''s almost every world. Now, back to Isia. Let us lead into the first chapter. To do that allow me introduce the first main character and her circumstances. First let me tell you about Isia and Brumane. They have different times spans for multiple reasons that you will learn of as you read into the story. Now onto the girl. Her name is Aliyah Vertremes Ayosci. She is the only girl in her family along with two elder brothers. Unfortunately, she was hit with a harsh disease at a young age, 10 years old. She has been fighting the disease for 8 years, which makes her 18 years old as of today. She has been bedridden ever since. Another unfortunate circumstance is that her father, someone who is one of the leaders in the world of the economy, has made plenty of ruthless enemies. And because of that, some trouble has happened to her family, and most of these target her as she is the most vulnerable. Good thing for her (perhaps), the entire family is good natured and looks out for each other. They don''t ignore any aggression towards her and may even retaliate. She currently stays in a luxurious mansion where she is taken care of by the maids that were hired. Of course, the enemies of the family have infiltrated into the servants and scheme behind their backs. For Aliyah''s appearance, she has pale skin and black hair with a hint of a purple tint. She appears frail as she is and has a petite body that makes her look like she is in her early teens due to her inhibition of body development from being confined to a bed for many years. Yes, that wouldn''t make sense actually. It would be the opposite wouldn''t it? It happened anyways. Now, I believe this is enough for the prologue now. Do not worry, the next chapter will come soon after.

But now I will show you the first major character, Caiyaly, A Goddess whose existence is entirely dubious and elusive. Chapter 1 "Astoria, Mother believes that it is time for Her to come." A woman in a blue snazzy outfit says. "Don''t you mean "her", mother?" A girl in a purple-blue gradient dress replies. "Ah yes, my mistake, those complications do make me mess up in terms of people sometimes." She acknowledges as she subtly gestures the girl to go. "I''ll be back then, mother." "Mother will be waiting here."
On that day, there was a decent shipment of alcohol smuggled into the mansion under the nose of the family. The alcohol was from a source that had left it highly concentrated in alcohol. It was left in the small basement of the mansion where one of the servants during the late night then came in with a pack of matches. That servant then opened some of the bottles of alcohol and splashed it around the basement, to the entrance of the basement. He continue leading the trail of alcohol to an extremely small room with a metal canister. He splashed the canister with the alcohol. Finally he leads the trail to the outside of the mansion, where a few other servants in cahoots with him were gathered. He took out the pack of matches, took one match from the pack, and struck the match against the sandpaper that is attached to the pack. Sparks fly out and the tip of the match emits a small light, but then dims completely. He struck the match against the sandpaper once again, sparks fly out once more, and the tip of the matchstick is caught on fire. He proceeds to throw the matchstick onto the trail of alcohol that he just poured, and the trail goes ablaze. He then walks away with the group of cohorts. With malicious smiles on their faces. The trail of fire however quickly goes out as it is lit, travelling throughout the mansion. It finally reaches the basement to where it begins to burn longer. The other split end of the trail also has lit up to the metal cannister. Both places burn for a while, catching other things on fire such as wood, and the metal cannister explodes. The explosive bang has alerted everyone at this point that something is happening, but too much damage has been done already. The fire has been spreading at two different points, the basement, and the kitchen which are at two different points of the mansion. The kitchen is much closer to Aliyah''s bedroom than the basement. Infact, the kitchen is only two rooms away from her bedroom. The servants that were loyal to the family were panicking as they called the fire department and tried to put out the fire themselves. They also rushed to evacuate their miss, Aliyah. Due to her condition however, they couldn''t be rough in moving her otherwise they would harm her. A team of 3 servants helped moved her out of the mansion as they removed some useless things from her. With only one thing left attached to her along with her clothing, they began moving her. They moved her body, and as they did that, Aliyah herself began to gain consciousness. An ember of flame landed on her nose and shocked her awake, she cried out in pain, alerting the servants and making them panic again for a bit. The path they were going in, just right before them, collapsed. This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. The servants, seeing this, were extremely thankful to their miss for basically stopping them from being smashed by a heavy wooden support that was on fire, yet at the same time, hopeless as their route to the exit was cut off. The only other way out of the mansion was going through a path that was already engulfed in flames. The servants were extremely troubled as their miss was still with them, although they valued their lives, they also highly valued the life of their miss who still has a chance at life. They have been told that she is close to complete recovery from her disease, and with her gentle and pure nature, she would become someone they would respect wholly. The servants decided to stay at the place the furthest away from the flames, buying themselves enough time for the fire department to arrive. Meanwhile, outside, two well-off looking men arrive at the scene to see more than half of the entire mansion on flames. Yet they both had pallor looks on their faces as if their world was about to end. They have received the news that their only sister is still in the mansion along with three other servants. One of the servants leading the escape reported that he had to get out as the fire caused collapsing of parts of the mansion, including one that completely blocked off the escape route for their sister. He ended his report with an apology and moved away, giving space to the two brothers. The two brothers however, not giving up, tried to concoct a plan to save their sister, until the fire department finally showed up. A team of firefighters rushed into the mansion upon hearing from the two brothers and their plea. The firefighters knew where they were going since one of the two brothers happened to hold a blueprint of the mansion on them and the servant who knew the escape route was with them. They were going down the path through the smoke that engulfed the high places of the mansion. They have arrived at a fallen support beam that was still burning and the firefighters rushed through it. They spot four people, three people who look like servants, and one person who is in a sleepwear and also has one thing attached to her. They bring the four people with them past the fallen support beam, and through the flames. However, it wasn''t long before another support beam collapses from fire damage, falling onto the firefighter that was carrying the girl. The beam landed on the firefighter''s back and nearly staggered. Another beam on the other side fell off, catching the firefighters off guard and the falling beam crushes the girl, who screams in pain as the fire reaches her, threatening to devour her. The group of remaining free firefighters rushed to free the girl from the support beam that is pinning her down. And with a large amount of effort, they free the pinned firefighter and the girl. They continue through, weary of about the mansion collapsing around them. They finally exit, and rush the girl to the ambulance waiting for them outside. The firefighter that was collapsed with the girl was fine as he only suffered minor burns since he wore fire resistant gear and the gear was thick enough to absorb most of the shock from the collapsing support beam. The girl on the other hand, all of the clothing on her was completely burned off and she suffered 3rd degree burns that deeply burned the skin. She also received damage to her back from the fallen support beam as trauma. And the IV drip that was forcefully detached from her also caused damage to her veins. She was immediately rushed to the emergency room from the ambulance that carried her there that was equipped with a full-dive biocube. Her consciousness was forcefully transferred to the full-dive where the girl stopped feeling pain and weakness. Loud noises were heard outside the emergency room. An erratic beeping sound was heard in the room, while the medical staff in the room rush to stabilize the condition of the girl. The heartbeat sensor sended lengthy pulses, signaling the extreme weakness of the heart.

At that instant, the lengthy beep changed to a constant beep. The medical staff were shocked. The girl; Aliyah... Has died.

However, it was known that days later... She was murdered somehow. Chapter 2 The pain is all gone. Yet, I also feel nothing at all at the same time... A pure void. It was before I knew it that my own freedom was taken from me in an instant. The disease completely robbed me of my strength and I was chained down to one spot. I managed to stay conscious when I wanted to however until I got tired and would fall to sleep normally. The many colors that I would use to see were now limited, and the faces I see were limited. Despite having a family who was kind to me and cared about me a lot, I always felt forlorn when I wasn''t feeling pain. Before I was ten, I used to be able to see the world. When I became ten, I was confined to the bed due to a disease I had gotten. I was told that I had a completely unknown disease that couldn''t be cured. But, the disease couldn''t reproduce in my body. So I fought off the disease for years, until seven years later, I got a check up and I was told that the disease was starting to die off and that I would begin to regain my strength when I became eighteen. I became very hopeful at that point and I felt that I saw a light at the end of the tunnel I was in. On the day I became eighteen, my family started to celebrate my birthday differently. I had actually started getting my strength back and would feel less discomfort in my body throughout the day, every day. When I blew the candles out however, It ended up becoming the equivalent to blowing out the fire of my life. That day... Was very painful... During the night, I was peacefully sleeping until I was woken up by the servants who would serve my family and was lifted the bed without warning. They brought me out of the room and continued to move me through the house. I smelled... smoke. I then saw the flames on the walls of my house, and felt the quivering of my servants as they neared the flames and braved it. Soon, I felt the flames on me and I cried out in pain. A part of the house appeared to have broken off and fell, stopping my servants as it obstructed the path with debris and flame. They then went back a bit to possibly get away from the flames. I lost consciousness soon after however. However, I awoke to a surge of pain and I screamed. A part of the house with flames on it landed on top of me and was not only burning me alive, but was also threatening to crush me. I was saved shortly after and was brought onto an ambulance. Something I learned about before I hit ten, I did think I would eventually ride on one due to my disease, but not because of what happened today. I was rushed into the hospital and was rushed into a room where they then put a weird thing over my head. Shortly after, the pain I felt ceased. I stood up and looked around where I was, and could see a window showing people that were in the room with me were operating on me. I looked away in an instant. Where my gaze landed however, was on a child with absurdly long white hair that reached down to her thighs. Her eyes were purple which was an unseen feature in my world. She gazed back at me that moment I laid my eyes on her. It was as if she could read my soul. She then waved her hand at me, beckoning me. I slowly went over to her. Before I reached her, she turned around and started walking. I continued following her. She suddenly stopped after a while, making me panic a bit until I decided to stay still as well. It was then that there was finally color. Instead of a pure black void, it became grey. Lines formed around me as if it was some sort of wireframe. And when I looked behind me, there was a doorway highlighted in a green wireframe. And below me, I was on a grey square. When I looked back at the doorway, I noticed it was moving away from me and was descending. No, that is wrong. I was moving away from it and I was ascending. I looked back at the child that was by me and she was looking straight at me as if predicting my confusion. We had a bit of a staring contest until I backed down to discomfort. I looked forward again and saw a doorway highlighted in a black wireframe. We were approaching it slowly but surely until we finally arrived. The child began walking again and I followed her. She went through the doorway and I did the same. The surroundings once again turned into a pitch black void. Except there was a desk, and someone was sitting behind it. She shared the same features as the child, but was more of an adult. "Mother." The child finally spoke for the first time. The girl behind the desk looked up from whatever she was looking at on her desk and smiled at the child. "Astoria, mommy is proud. Come here." She said as she beckoned her child over. She spent a while with her child, stroking her head and I thought I was forgotten until she turned her head to me. I was extremely enamored by the appearances of the mother and child. "Welcome to the Interstice of Prism. You died huh?" I was dumbfounded by that completely random statement. "Wait, what?" I asked in confusion. "Look over there." She said as she directed my attention to a window with a finger that to what I perceived, appeared suddenly, peering through showed the hopeless looks of the people who were operating on me and a screen that showed a horizontal line. "What is that supposed to mean?" I questioned the girl. Her peaceful expression remained unchanged. "Caiyaly sees that you are still confused. Allow Caiyaly to explain. The moment you were hit with that ''disease'' you were doomed to die. It''s impressive that you managed to survive that long through just sheer will, and even almost rid yourself of it. Caiyaly is most certainly impressed by your actions. But alas, the SYSTEM could not allow you to live in that world any longer. So the SYSTEM manipulated the weakest people around you and even manipulated the environment. It''s most interesting how it was forced to even change the composition of the flammable material to make it close to explosive. It nearly even killed someone else on accident. But despite all of that, I''m afraid to say that all your efforts were all in vain. You have died in the end." Caiyaly said while looking at me straight in the eyes, or at least that is what she calls herself. I found myself palpitating, shaking with befuddlement. This girl who appears the same age as me knows my entire life story. And I was filled to the brim with questions, all of them begging for answers. "I can tell you have a lot of questions for me, and I believe it is in your best interest to ask away." Caiyaly told me. And I so I began, "What is the SYSTEM?" To which she immediately replied. "The SYSTEM is something you are not yet allowed to understand. You will have to discover that for yourself. Although I have definitely implied that the SYSTEM can control your world. That is all you are allowed to know." "Why did the SYSTEM aim for my life? Why did it have to ruin my childhood?" "You were not supposed to be born in that world in the first place. Your existence in that world was detrimental; extremely harmful to it. It ruined your childhood because it couldn''t kill you so quickly otherwise it would do unnecessary damage to the world. Caiyaly apologizes on the behalf of the SYSTEM for it''s failure to grant you a quick death. But frankly, Caiyaly doesn''t actually think you should care about that for now, in the near future, you should talk about it to the SYSTEM itself." She smiled while saying the last sentence. "Are you a goddess?" I attempted to check her reaction but she doesn''t have any single change. "Yes, Caiyaly is indeed a goddess. Trying to test Caiyaly is completely futile when your in Caiyaly''s domain you know? I will forgive you, but the other two might not. Especially Phyriam, Caiyaly recommends you to be more restrained around her. If you meet either of them that is... Well actually you will have to meet with the two of them in the future eventually." "I am sorry. I-" "You are not sorry. You yourself may think you are but in the end, you will have learned nothing from this and will repeat this mistake you made in the future." Caiyaly cut me off. "Well, for another question, why did I not belong in my world?" "The reason why you do not belong in ''your'' world is in a correlation to what you just did. You dared to test a deity existence you just met. That world is not ready for someone that is the likes of you. If you were left alone, the world would be in ruins by now, and you would be experiencing more pain than you would be now." "What will happen to me now that I am dead?" "Well, Caiyaly has good news for you on this topic. You have been picked by the SYSTEM to become a precursor in another world, in other words, you will be reincarnating in a different world as a new sort of existence. Hence you will have authoritative power in the next world. This world is called Brumane. It is a world of magic like some of the fantasy stories described in the world of Isia. Something that I should make you aware of is that Isia will actually be connecting to Brumane soon. So as the precursor, it will become your duty to protect Isia as Brumane as it is now can completely glass the world of Isia as it is. Your body has been completely replicated and will be fully materialized the moment you have stepped into my domain. Otherwise you would be a spectral being that would dissipate in seconds the moment you stepped into Brumane. When you arrive at the next world, it is up to you what you want to do. However, Caiyaly won''t simply force you there alone, Caiyaly will force you there with someone of your choice. Here are three existences that you can choose to accompany you for life as long as their lifespan allows it. When you choose one of them however, don''t be surprised if the other two become your enemy however. Despite Caiyaly''s saying this though, neither of these three will remember what happened here in my domain. For the first week, whoever you choose will become completely despondent and will only remember logical information that I have given them. After that week, they will become completely amnesiac, and they will only have their personalities, and the basic language and logical functions. It is then what you wish to do with them. During the first week, they will become completely ''robotic'' or whatever the denizens of Isia call it. They will have no personality until the second week when they lose the implanted memories Caiyaly has made. This is to ensure your survival for the first week as the SYSTEM is unsure whether you could survive the first week normally." After her extremely long explaination, a gigantic structure appears behind her that looks like an hourglass mechanism. Instead of sand like a normal hourglass, it appeared to be a viscous, colored green fluid instead. It look like a container for making compounds in a lab. It constantly rotated, yet the liquids inside didn''t budge an inch. In front of the large structure were three people that had an expression that you feel like they are not themselves. They were standing still like statues and were looking straight looking in the same one direction. As if they were without thoughts of their own. "Here are their names if you were to look above them." I look above their heads like she told me and saw their names displayed in a writing that I know.
Tigus Romant
Moris Fabio
Vestrius Nomica
Two of them were male while the last one was female. I decided to choose the female immediately. "I choose Vestrius."If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. Her ever unchanging smile was directed to her child who was next to her while she said to me, "Very well then, now for the most important thing. You have to choose a class here. However you don''t really get to choose out of much. There are actually very few choices you can make due to your inability. Hence, Caiyaly will actually clarify what every choice you have. Now, pick one you wish for me to describe from this list here and decide which class you want." She waved her hand as a vertical rectangular shape forms in front of my eyes with words that I can read as well. Here is what is displayed in front of me:
Spirit Novice Mage Novice Magician Novice Noble
Citizen Fighter Cleric Novice Prankster
Only eight choices. There was only one choice I didn''t have much interest in. First let us point out the elephant in the room. "What is the difference between Mage Novice and Magician Novice?¡± ¡°The difference between Mages and Magicians is that Magicians have much more potential than Mages. However there are multiple trade-offs. If you decide to become a Magician then you will have to forgo your humanity because you are forced to modify your own body to create more affinity with the mana in the next world. As a result of this, Magicians are actually sometimes considered demons in the next world. However, Magicians are purely seekers of the truths. Another trade-off of being a Magician is that even if you face the same obstacles as a mage does, that mage will be able to get ahead of you, because your power naturally grows slower than a mage. But when you both are at the same level, a Magician will always win. You will get a staff along with mana conducive equipment which can aid you in your self-tampering if you wish to choose this class.¡± Well, I¡¯m not really interested in forsaking my humanity just yet, so: ¡°What is a Spirit Novice?¡± ¡°A Spirit Novice is a Spirit arts user that rely on powerful dead people for their own power. The limits of the Spirit Novice are actually not limited by the spirit¡¯s former power, but the spirit art user itself. It wouldn¡¯t be too surprising if a Spirit Novice had killed someone who has a class that is more than five tiers higher. Spirits can lend you their full power if your not strong enough yourself and you need their strength, but the both you and that spirit will face a backlash. Spirits will also be amnesiac. If you help a spirit regain it¡¯s memories, the spirit will gain more strength. One important thing is that you will lose Mana Points and replace it with Ethereal Power, making it more costly to cast magic spells. You also need a medium which will be provided to you to cast the complete power of the spirit if you wish to choose this class.¡± ¡°What are the tiers in classes you are talking about?¡± ¡°While that may not be relevant to what is going on right now, Caiyaly guesses that Caiyaly never said that you couldn¡¯t stop asking other questions. There are many tiers in classes, the higher the tier in class equates to the more potential a class has. Out of eight of your available classes, one of them is tier two, five are tier one, and the last two are tier zero. The sole class that is tier two is the Fighter class.¡± ¡°What is the Fighter class?¡± ¡°The Fighter class is an occupation that relies on one¡¯s fighting spirit and resilience. Caiyaly would not recommend that class as the only reason you have that class available is because you met it¡¯s prerequisites. The Fighter class is not exactly for someone like you however.¡± ¡°Are there prerequisites for all classes?¡± ¡°Yes, even for the tier zero classes, there are prerequisites, hence, your limited selection of classes.¡± ¡°What are the two tier zero classes?¡± ¡°The tier zero classes that you have are Citizen and Noble. They are the classes one would normally get right away when being born into this world.¡± ¡°What are the differences for the Citizen and Noble class?¡± ¡°There are no differences for the Citizen class and Noble class besides their prerequisites and name.¡± I lost interest in the both of them after hearing that. ¡°What is the Cleric Novice?¡± ¡°The Cleric Novice is a class that is oriented towards healing. You will have weak healing abilities that can heal only small cuts and bruises. You can cure only weak diseases that have barely spread in the recipient¡¯s body.¡± ¡°What is the Prankster?¡± ¡°The Prankster is a class that is oriented towards dealing damage while remaining unknown. The moment your cover is blown, your likely the one that is in the disadvantage. You deal slightly more damage when you are dealing surprise attack damage than a person without this class.¡± A faint curiosity within me bloomed, "What is the Citizen and Noble?" "They both are classes that give no specialties. Just like Fighter, it isn''t recommended to choose this class, but the reason being that the results you get from the class is lesser compared to the others." "What''s the prerequisite to Fighter?" "The main prerequisite to Fighter is to survive a crisis for a about a local planet year. Other than that, it is also having at least one resistance skill and one self-healing skill. Surviving what ailed you back then allows for the option of Fighter now, albeit, it isn''t compatible with your in terms of fighting style. Perhaps later you could choose this, but Caiyaly doesn''t recommend it now." "What do I start with if I were to choose Mage Novice?" "You will be given a wand and robes to allow more fluid mana movements." "And for Cleric Novice?" "You will be given a book for theurgical abilities, a mace, and robes for amplification if your sanctity." It was then that I decided. ¡°I will choose Spirit Novice.¡± ¡°Very well then. Here are three things. One of them will hide because it¡¯s not important, the other will not. Also here is one more thing.¡± Three different articles of clothing replace what I already have on me. One of the objects appeared in my hand. Caiyaly then showed me one person. A child appears that seems to be a few years younger than me. The child is also unconscious as her eyes appear to be closed. ¡°This child?¡± ¡°This child is the spirit you will get. Getting a spirit will be difficult normally. Especially a powerful one like her. Now that you are finished, you can finalize your choices by looking at your status. Here it is.¡± A Huge line of text appears before my eyes.

¡°What is in the parenthesis after the three pools are acronym denotations. All items soulbound to you will stay with you after you die. The soulbound has a duration however before it expires. You also have skills retained from your previous life. And your titles will affect your status rather largely. As for systems, you might actually never get one, but they are always powerful. And blessings of course can be a protection, a boon, or curse. That is all that I can explain to you. Are you sure this is what you wish for?¡± ¡°Allow me to ask a few more questions, first off, if I were to attack myself using magic, would I hurt myself?¡± ¡°That is something that I cannot tell you, you will have to find out yourself.¡± ¡°What is the ¡®30D¡¯ after ¡®Soulbound¡¯?¡± ¡°The 30D is 30 days, which is the duration you have before the enchantment on the equipment expires.¡± ¡°What is the difference between a protection and a boon?¡± Caiyaly¡¯s face immediately changed from a smile to a more expressionless face. ¡°*Cough* u-uhm, there is a major difference between a protection and a boon. If something gives you a boon, then it is rewarding you for an act you have done and it empowers you as compensation. For protection, you will begin to share fate with the existence that gives you it¡¯s protection. You will gain the same effects as one would get from a boon, but the effects from a boon are temporary while for the protection, it¡¯s a permanent effect.¡± She finished while trying to hide her blushing. Giving her a weird look as I was confused to what she was trying to say, I continue on: ¡°Last question, does my occupation affect my status?¡± ¡°Your occupation always affects your status. Infact, just because your mana is replaced by ethereal, it actually doesn¡¯t mean you still can¡¯t cast spells a normal mage can. However it will be more inefficient than if you were to still have mana. But if you wish to go back to using mana, using spirit arts will take a much larger toll on you. So if you wish to revert back to using mana, I would recommend choosing a different starting occupation.¡± ¡°That is all then.¡± ¡°Very well then, I will shortly materialize you and this Phoenix Hourglass into the next world. Make sure to protect the Phoenix Hourglass with your life... Literally. Unlike normal people, if you die, you will revive at the Phoenix Hourglass. You can upgrade it later on, to increase it¡¯s defensive capability, but for now, you have to defend it yourself and hide it¡¯s existence from others.¡± She explained while pointing at the giant structure behind her. How am I supposed to hide something like that. ¡°You will find a way, one last thing, you can come back here anytime your alone with your aide. If someone who is foreign to my domain is nearby you two, then the domain will reject entry to the both of you. Also, time is frozen in this domain. But anything you do here besides what I allow you to do will not take affect. To clarify, you won¡¯t die here if you manage to escape on the brink of death, but you can not heal in this space no matter what you do unless I were to heal you myself. If you get poisoned, you can come here to delay your inevitable death is you wish to do so as when you try to apply an antidote in here, that antidote will go to waste. Also this domain will have frozen time until the Phoenix Hourglass is charged. So if you were to come here after the hourglass charged, you can die, you can heal yourself, you can cure yourself, basically you can do what you can normally do in the outside world. Now good luck.¡± It was then that my consciousness blacked out.
In the Interstice of Reality. ¡°Mother, you realize you said near future earlier, but for you, a millennium is considered a near future.¡± Astoria stared into her eyes while questioning her mother. ¡°You are saying?¡± Caiyaly said to her child with mild confusion on her face, this was the first time she changed her expression. ¡°You basically lied to that girl, you know?¡± The child continues staring directly into her mother¡¯s eyes. ¡°Ahahaha, aren¡¯t you aware that your mother is omniscient? Mother can easily influence and predict the future of anyone as weak as her with just a few words.¡± Caiyaly laughed awkwardly as she explained herself. ¡°So are you saying that she will live to become a thousand years old Mother?¡± ¡°It all depends on her, my child. Just like with everyone else.¡± Caiyaly says as she cuddles with Astoria. ¡°You say that...¡± ¡°Mother is afraid that mother cannot allow you to finish your sentence.¡± Caiyaly chides Astoria with a strained smile that twitches. Astoria didn¡¯t continue her sentence due to realization of something. "Please go watch over her." Astoria nods then disappears from the room in a blink of an eye. Chapter 3 My consciousness returns. I smell the fresh air that isn¡¯t filtered with a tinge of grass. I open my eyes to see the green grass and leaves and brown wood of the trees. I am in a field of grass that has trees surrounding one of the sides where I came to. I look behind me and see my aide and the Phoenix Hourglass. The hourglass rotates while the liquids remain at the same place as I first saw it. As one part of the structure gets close to me, I curiously reached out to touch it. The hourglass¡¯s smooth surface collided with my palm, and continued to rotate surprisingly frictionlessly as if my hand wasn¡¯t there in the first place. I then looked at my aide who wordlessly stared at me as she had turned to my direction. I stared back, slowly approaching her as a bit of curiosity welled up in me. I then thought ¡®status¡¯ when I got close. Something came up in my view.

The many numbers I see confuse me quite a bit. I am guessing the numbers after the 29D is hours? So the amount of hours in one day is seventy-three hours in this world? That is about three times more hours than in my world, Isia. Also, why does she have ¡°unbreakable¡± equipment while I do not? It also appears she has the tier two occupation that I didn¡¯t choose to get. Would she be able to hurt herself using her physical or magical abilities? I am extremely curious, but for now, I refrained from allowing my curiosity to get out of hand for now.. I would like to utilize what I have now as this is still practically a completely unknown world. I have to find out the distance of the nearest civilization of any sort, a village, a town, or a city. I have to hope that I am not in the middle of a country and am in the wilderness otherwise I will be contesting this place to defend the Phoenix Hourglass. From what I gathered from Caiyaly that she didn¡¯t tell me is that gods exist in this world. That is what I have to be careful of the most. I have a feeling that if any of the Gods in this world besides Caiyaly sets their eyes on the Phoenix Hourglass, I will have a major problem that may prove too much for me. I have 31 days before the World Hourglass fully charges. I will explore the surrounding area to make sure there are no demons. That is another thing that Caiyaly hinted me at, the bad things in this world are demons. I don¡¯t know what identifies as a demon, but I feel like I will find out very soon. ¡°Vestrius, follow me.¡± I commanded Vestrius to follow as I head out to explore the plains. The first thing I saw in the distance was a huge rabbit surrounded by smaller but still larger than normal rabbits. There were so many rabbits behind those three, that the population seemed to stretch as far as my own eye can see. I decided to attempt to see their status like I could with the Phoenix Hourglass and Vestrius. I focus in for the biggest rabbit first.

This... Is kind of confusing... In my earlier years of enduring my sickness, I ended up getting used to being confined to the house I was in, and sometimes one of my elder brothers, Robert, sometimes has a laptop he would bring with him. And one of the games he would play is something called a ''rpg'' which I am reminded of by the status windows. However, I''ve seen him play many variations of this ''rpg''. But all of their systems are similar to each other, and the system of this one appears extremely unique. In my later years however, he stopped playing those games on his laptop as he said he had a ''pod'' and he now plays ''vrrpg'' games now. This monster, appears to be much more powerful than me. I never knew a small fluffy creature could be such an imposing dangerous monster.Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit. Since it''s a monster, is this what a demon is? Either way, I will have to avoid this one for now. The rabbits, are fluffy like the normal ones. I go back to the Phoenix Hourglass with Vestrius trailing behind me while this note is stuck in my mind. After walking back a short distance. I just noticed something; when did I learn to walk so well again? Back when I was confined to bed, I could still walk, but my steps weren''t stable enough as my legs could easily give out at any moment. I then recall that I was unconsciously walking like a normal healthy person when I was following Astoria. I decided to toss back into my mind of what I couldn''t fathom very well at this point in time. Anyways, it is time to go over what I have scouted around the Phoenix Hourglass so far. First, the Phoenix Hourglass is surrounded by forestry on three sides, and has plains covering the last side. The part with plains seems to have a multitude of rabbits. I could actually only see rabbits all the way to the end of the horizon, and there were certainly many. I arrived back at the Phoenix Hourglass. At the Phoenix Hourglass I saw a translucent door in front of it. Astoria was waiting outside. "Welcome back." Astoria greeted me, "I have come out to tell you that my mother has revised her domain and ways of entering. From now on, you can only enter her domain by using this door," she gestured behind her, revealing the entirety of a translucent blue door, "You may use this door at any checkpoints like the Phoenix Hourglass that you have set up yourself, like a bed, a couch, a futon, or any other kind of thing that identifies as a cushion that you can sleep on. Furthermore, You have a time limit everyday of two hours in the domain. That is all." She said, then she grabs a book from behind her back and opens it, turning her full attention on it. "What is the point of going to Caiyaly''s domain?" Aside from what defines a checkpoint, these people keep on telling me that I can visit the domain. Yet I do not understand why. "You haven''t figured it out yet? Time is frozen in my mother''s domain. It''s the best place to plan for the entire day and plan battles. You may not realize it yet, but you''re at an extremely dangerous place. But that is all, only for now... You should depend on your follower more for information while you still can. Of course, your follower cannot answer any questions my mother refused to answer you, but you have already seen some things in this world. Ask your follower about that." Astoria responds while her full attention is still on the book. I turn to Vestrius who absentmindedly stares at me. "What book is Astoria reading?" "I am not allowed to answer that." Vestrius responds immediately. I look back at Astoria who is staring back at me, ignoring her book. I shift my glance at the book that she is reading only to see that I cannot view any text from the angle she is holding the book. I shift my glance back at Astoria herself, and she still is staring back at me with a questioning look. I turn back to Vestrius. "Can you tell me what is the difference between trivial rank and special rank?" "There is a large difference between trivial and special rank. There is a three rank gap between trivial and special." "How would one achieve special rank?" "One requires a Personal Level of 15 which is an accumalative 1640 occupation levels." "How does one get occupation levels?" "One would have to perform actions that would create an understanding toward''s their own occupaton." "How would I get occupation levels?" "You would have to gain experience from combat using your spirit arts. For your current occupation, you would have to use your ethereal power to activate your Min." I then realize that I am holding a cylinder in my left hand the whole entire time. Was that there ever since I read my status? "How do I use my ethereal power?" "Come here." Astoria said suddenly, interrupting Vestrius. "I''ll show you how to use it." I walk over to Astoria without much of a thought in response. She then grabs my wrists and stares me straight into my eyes as she looks up at me. "Close your eyes." I close my eyes in response. "Sense your heartbeat." I immediately visualize my heart that''s connected to the rest of my body inside. "Use your heartbeat to scan for any irregularities inside your body." I then see an orange mist inside my body. "That orange mist is called Ethereal Power. Now guide that mist to both of your hands." I then consciously guide the mist to the top of my chest, where I split it in two and guide one to each hand. "Now grab your Min with both hands. And surge your power into it." My ethereal power surges into the Min, and my eyes were forcefully opened, and Astoria was back at the door, not holding my wrists like earlier. A bright blinding white light then comes out infront of me. A girl that is the same height as me appears within the fading light. She hovers in the air as her transparency shows. She possesses pink hair and wears a white frilly dress, her eyes open to reveal a pair of yellow pupils. My right hand unconsciously lets go of the Min and a long, double-edged blade appears where my right hand was, replacing part of the Min. She stares into me dazedly. "A Sustainor Spirit User, huh?" The girl said as she continued to stare at me. "My name is Mimi, the Venerable Sword Singer." "Isn''t she not supposed to have any memories?" I asked in confusion. Mimi gives me a weird look. "That''s all she remembers." Astoria replied. Mimi crossed her arms, "I wish that you wouldn''t talk about me like that. How rude of you two." "But do you remember anything else?" Mimi glared at me for a bit then became confused, her face flushed a bit too. I then look back at my Min that transformed into a one-handed sword. It''s inlaid with metallic patterns and gems. I thought of giving it a swing before Astoria warned me: "Don''t swing that while you''re facing the Phoenix Hourglass or you will damage it." Wondering how I could damage the Phoenix Hourglass by swinging the sword from a distance, I became apprehensive with my thoughts of swinging it then. "What happens if I swing it towards the rabbits?" "The rabbits will get hurt and then will retaliate against you." "Hmm, ok." I thought about it for a while before deciding not to do something so casually. "But how am I going to get experience to get stronger?" "Well, seeing as you have already scouted the safest area," Astoria started, "I regret to inform you that the majority of the demons here can easily overpower you and your follower. Hence, I have to advise you to use your unique skill every time you fight until the monsters no longer have an extreme advantage over you in terms of power." "My unique skill?" This conversation... kind of befuddles me. In the way that I didn''t really think about my unique skill too much. "Your unique skill, Pure Saint''s Spirit can allow you to deal extra damage when using whatever weapon your Min changed into. This can allow you to offset the power balance between you and the monsters. But this skill can only last for a limited time and it will take a long time before you can use the skill again. Also make sure your follower gets a hit in at least once, or she won''t be able to help you much in the future." "Ok, how do I use this then?" "You have to find it within you to retrieve that power. I won''t be helping you with this one." "What happens if I can''t use it in the middle of the fight?" "Then you and your follower will get slaughtered." "What am I supposed to do then?!" "Figure that out yourself." At that response, I felt somewhat wronged. The only death I''ve experienced so far is dying to burns while being weakened by a disease made by the system, and now this kid is telling me to experience death again? I look at Mimi, who is staring absent-mindedly at the sky. "Who was I?" Mimi asked. "I don''t know?" I responded. How am I supposed to know... "You don''t know? Either times have changed or I am not that well-known as I thought I was." "Well, I''m not from this planet so I don''t know." "You''re not from this planet? How did you get here?" I looked at Astoria, who just ignored me. "I don''t know, she''s the one who brought me here." "This ordinary child?" Mimi stares deeply at Astoria, who is still ignoring the both of us. "By the way, what is the name of this planet?" I felt a tap on my shoulder, I look back and there''s Vestrius. "The name of this planet is Brumane." "What''s the name of your planet?" Mimi asked. "My own planet''s name is Isla." I responded. "So you''re an otherworlder that was brought here by this ordinary girl?" "She''s not ordinary. She''s the daughter of a god." "Well, I suppose that would be why I can only see her as an ordinary person." "I do not understand?" I said. Just when Mimi was about to explain, she paused. "I don''t remember how to explain..." Exasperated, I decided that I shouldn''t waste anymore time here. I go back to the open fields to see that rabbit again. This time however, the biggest rabbit spots me. "A Jagged-Eared Rabbit, that''s not something that someone like you can deal with." Mimi identified the rabbit and cautioned me. "Well, that girl did say that I could win if I were to use my unique skill." "Unique skill?" "Yeah... But the problem is that I don''t know how to use it." "Not a problem. Any sort of skill can be easily triggered. They all can be triggered the way you expect them to." "What do you mean?" "What I mean is, if you know the skill''s name and how you got it, then you can trigger it." "Well... The problem is that I don''t know how I got it, but it''s called ''Pure Saint''s Spirit''." "Pure Saint''s Spirit? That does not sound bad. From how that skill sounds, you can trigger the skill by channeling your spirit." "Channeling my spirit?" "For example, if you were to channel your Ethereal Power, you can trigger the skill." "How do I channel my Ethereal Power?" "Well, if I have be honest with you, since you don''t know how to do that, it''s going to be difficult to do. But the simplest way it to combust your Ethereal Power." "Combust?" "You know, explode. What you have to do is spread your power to envelop your entire body. But combusting your ethereal power is dangerous unless you''re a magician. So what you have to do instead, is to spread your ethereal power to your legs, and head, besides your arms which you are currently doing. Oh and that reminds me, do keep an eye on your ethereal power. It should be close to full, but as long as you are directing ethereal power into your spirit source, you are losing it slowly but surely." With that said, I thought ''status''.

She is right... I lost almost a whole 700 ethereal power. "How do I get it back?" I asked with a bit of impatience. "It''s not like you lost it forever, you just have to stop directing power to your spirit source and you will start getting it back quickly. Ah, but if you do that, I will go away. I don''t know if I would like that or not. It shouldn''t be a problem right now until you fully channel your power." The other two rabbits near the biggest rabbit began to also notice me at this point. The biggest rabbit charges straight for me at that moment while the other two follow behind him. Chapter 4 At that moment, I felt something explode inside of me as I felt adrenaline pump into my brain.
Pure Saint''s Spirit Activated. Warning! Ethereal Power drain levels have exceeded over 1% per second! Lesser Channeling Skill has reached level 1 and therefore has unlocked.
Mentally pushing the window away on instinct, I see three large bunnies speedily hop in a sort of zig-zag towards me. "Get ready!" Mimi shouted as she hovered behind me. Before I focused on the three rabbits, I managed to catch a small glance of the other rabbits further into the distance that noticed the impending battle. I swing the sword at the biggest rabbit who gets a large cut on it''s chest as it collides with the edge of the Min-turned-sword. The other two catch up and their ears collide with my legs, creating a painful sensation there. I was instantly brought to my knees, but before I fell, I made another swing at the largest rabbit which landed on it''s head with the edge of the sword, cutting into it.
Critical! (2.0x damage) Unnamed Jagged-Ear Rabbit was slain. Occupation Level has reached 16. Personal Level has reached 3. Health, Ethereal Power, and Stamina has been restored. Status has been automatically distributed. Title unlocked.
The cuts pour out in blood, and the organs within the rabbit''s belly spilled out a little. The pain in my legs instantly recede the moment I skimmed the window. Making it disappear, I stand up and see the other two rabbits charging at me again when I looked behind. When they got close, I swung again, aiming for the right rabbit, who just jumps over the swing and grazes my face with it''s ears. I got knocked over as a result, and the left rabbit hit my hands that were holding the Min, weakening my grip, fortunately it wasn''t enough to make me drop it. I stood up with a bit of difficulty this time, and once again looked at the two rabbits. "Use my skills!" Mimi urged on. Without hesitating and thinking, I subconsciously raised my hand in the air. A circle appears in my hand and flies over to one of the rabbits. That rabbit was ahead of the other one as it was the one that knocked me over. The moment it got into the range of the blade, I slashed at the rabbit, hitting it with the edge of the blade, and made an even larger cut on it''s head.
Critical! (2.0x damage) Rough-Ear Rabbit was slain. Occupation level has reached 26. Personal level has reached 4. Health, Ethereal Power, and Stamina has been restored. Status has been automatically distributed.
The last rabbit, misses me as it is also trying to dodge my blade. When I look after it, thinking I would see it turn around. I was correct... But that wasn''t all. A huge multitude of other rabbits were zeroing in on me. "Channel more power into your Min!" Mimi urged once again. The sword glowed as I directed more ethereal power into the Min. I swung it at the incoming mass that was barreling down on me and made multiple gashes on different rabbits that were still a bit of a distance, but it wasn''t enough to stop them, as they slowed down and new ones replaced them. I swung my sword one last time as a desperate attempt to survive.
Rough-Ear Rabbit was slain. Rough-Ear Rabbit was slain. Occupation level has reached 34. Personal level has reached 5. Status has been automatically distributed.
Killing two more, I watched helplessly as the rest swarmed me in moments. I created another circle which rang out and sent it through the swarm, injuring more. My Min was knocked out of my hands by two rabbits striking my hands with their ears, cutting the connection between me and it, and Mimi disappeared. Then, another three rabbits, one from the front, and one from the back, based on impact, hit me on my sides, and I was forced to turn around. Then I saw my follower, Vestrius being mangled in from of me as her limbs bent in abnormal directions and one of her hands was reaching out to me...
Vestrius Nomica was slain.
Party Management has reached lvl 1 and therefore has unlocked.
And then the rabbits tried to finish me off after as they twisted and bruised me as well. One of the injured ones ended up dying in the process and kept me alive longer as I killed another one.

Somewhere in the Verulia Great Ocean... In a giant ship made of metal, is a well-dressed man with a blue tuxedo that is sitting in a gem-inlaid chair. Facing his sharp facial features towards a fleet of five metal ships that dwarf in comparison to the former. "Captain, we are about to engage the Evertus Kingdom''s flagship along with their fleet and the hire of Miracle Grand." A voice in the bridge sounds behind him. "Captain! We are outnumbered! Five to one!" Another voice in the bridge sounds. "Captain! they have the nanites of the Miracle Grand!" A voice in the comms next to him sounds. "...Perhaps this is an even fight then. Battle stations everyone!" A voice hums through the brig as the man gives out his command. The giant ship changes in shape as strange cones with their point ends cut off come out of the ship. Along with oversized blades that could tear anything that might get their hand stuck in it, it began rotating. "As people of the Lushi Republic, since they are so desperate for a fight, we give them one!" The man said as he stood up from his chair. """Sir yes sir!""" echoed throughout the brig and comms. "Charge the Pri beams! Load the kinetic deck guns! Ready the missiles! Aim the hook at the flagship!" The man said as he waved his arms at every order. "Hook armed and aimed; ready to fire!" A voice came through the comms. "Brace for impact...! Fire!" The ship commander said immediately with no hesitation. A giant harpoon at the forward deck of the flying ship is launched, which dives straight for the biggest ship of the fleet that is in front. The harpoon pierces through the ship''s deck hull and creates large cracks on the deck''s integrity. Dust falls from both ships as one is tethered to the other. "Bring it back! Get ready for close combat!" The man bellowed. "Aye sir!" A gruff voice came from the comms. "Pri beams are charged!" A voice came from the comms. "Kinetic D.U.C.K.s are loaded, sir." A voice came from the bridge behind the captain. "B-15 Missles are ready, sir!" A voice came from the bridge again. "Tear them apart! Target the other ships!" The man bellowed once again, spitting out some saliva on the word ''ships''. A barrage comes to and fro the remaining ships that are still on the sea. The barrage from the flying ship creates multiple large holes in the hull of the remaining four ships, but the hulls repair themselves almost instantaneously. While the flagship is disabled by the hook''s disrupting magical-magnetic distorter, it can''t fire. So it is left dangling from the harpoon that is stuck to it while it slowly but surely plummets below, even threatening the anchoring ship. Instead, intense close combat occurs as a man with a rough appearance, with a goatee and a mustache on his face, leads a team of 6 into the Evertus''s flagship. They jump off the forward deck where the hook is and fall onto the ship that is being held up by the harpoon attached. Armed with a handgun and a sword, the man aims the handgun at the ship and fires it. "Miracle Grand Robitics Branch. Too bad they are on the cultivator''s side." A soft masculine voice sounds from behind him. "Indeed, we could''ve already overpowered the Cultivators and driven them off our planet." A powerful feminine voice sounds from his side. "No need for that, this just gives us more jobs to do. I do enjoy destroying the creations of Miracle Grand and killing their officers." The man with the gruff voice who is leading the charge says. This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there. "To think they call themselves with the ''miracle'' in their name, what a joke." A cold masculine voice sounds from behind him again. "To us, they are just a pain, but for the cultivators, they are truly a miracle. After all, their leader is a Tri-Cultivator from what I''ve heard." The man with the gruff voice replies. "I''ve fought against Tri-Cultivators before, and they are seriously a pain in the ass." "Indeed, it truly is scary to think what a Tri-Cultivator can do as they can fight in close combat, fight at long range, and allow others to fight for it." The man with a cold voice said in agreement. "But us Sustainors can do the same without any inhibitions." A powerful ''bang'' resembling gunfire came from the cold voice''s direction and blew up a white metallic humanoid that just poked it''s head out of the deck. The head just reforms while the perpetrator of the combusted head just waltz up and obliterates the rest of the robot during it''s reconstruction with ease. The rest take similar actions as they encounter the robots themselves when they approached the front deck of the ship. They all landed and spreaded out on the deck, barging into doors and slaughtered the people on the deck along with destroying the robots they found. The man with the goatee reaches the bridge room of the ship and barges in. In there he sees a man with well-defined features wearing a white coat. "Welcome to the bridge of my ship. How can I help you?" The man said with an obviously fake smile. "Uh... I''d like to remove you cultivator scum off this ocean. Then I''d like you cultivator scum to move off our lands. Then I''d like you cultivator scum to move off this planet." The man with a gruff voice said as if he was ordering something to eat while approaching the captain. "Mmm... I''m afraid we don''t have any of those on the menu. But what I can recommend you instead is the dead shitty sustainor on a stick along with the complimentary get the fuck off this planet." The captain of the ship said as he took out a ruler and pointed it at the man with the goatee and pushed him back out of the room. "Sorry, but it is not time yet." The captain pressed a button on the ship controls behind him and spoke into a part of the console with many holes. "Do it now!" Suddenly, the entire ship shook. The Lushi Republic''s ship was tilting down in the air, as if it was being grounded by the Evertus''s ship that had it''s hook attached to. The Lushi''s ship''s crew was a bit alarmed, but not panicked. "Captain, They are bringing us down!" "Alright, alright! Discharge the hook! I''ll be coming out myself to deal with the other four captains. I''ll also be taking a radio with me in case of emergencies. I leave command to you, special officer." The man in a tuxedo grabbed a rectangular box that fit in his fist and poked a man in a black coat with blue trim on his way out. "Yes sir!" The man in a black coat with blue trim said. He then walked over to the console and stood before it. "Continue firing. Focus one of the Pri beam at their flagship." "Yes sir!" The man in a tuxedo left his brig and made his way outside where he sees four people with white coats jumping onto his ship. "Welcome aboard! Now then, I hope you don''t mind me commiting to my business!" The man in a tuxedo said as he cracked his knuckles. The four intruder captains took out their weapons in response. There was a hulking figure who took out a hammer that emitted a destructive pressure. There was a delicate figure who took out an instrument. There was a slim figure who took out a flying sword. And there was a lanky figure who took out a spear. "Hmm, good! Come at me!" The man in a tuxedo said as he gestured a taunt at the four. The four attacked him at once. The man with a spear went straight for his heart, but the man in a tuxedo dodged all of his attempts. The woman with a zither attempted to disrupt his moments, but the man in a tuxedo created a reverb backlog that backlashed against her. The man with a hammer swung down at him, but the man in a tuxedo immediately disarmed him and knocked him down to the ground with a simple punch to the face. The man with a flying sword had his sword dive straight for him, but the man in a tuxedo knocked the sword away flying with the hammer. "Home run!" The man in a tuxedo mocked as he put his hand in a salute position so he could see how far the sword went. But he was interrupted by a spear stab that knocked the hammer from him and into the hulk figure''s hands. He then was stabbed at again, but this time the man in a tuxedo caught the spear with one of his hands and hit a palm closer to the end where the lanky figure was holding the spear, causing him to fly and let go of the spear. The man in a tuxedo then spun his spear in multiple circles before stopping and colliding with the incoming flying sword. He sent the sword flying away once again. "Master-At-Arms!"" The woman with a zither yelled in realization. "Tsk, tsk, tsk. Close, but it''s not a Master-At-Arms, but a Grandmaster-At-Arms." The man in a tuxedo corrected. "Of course you cultivator degenerates can''t tell the difference as you can''t hope to match my skill with your lousy ''daos''. Alas, this is one of the major advantages of us sustainors, we Master-At-Arms types are only rare, but not unique." The man in a tuxedo gave the spear another spin. "This is why you can''t hope to beat me. I can easily disarm any of you and use your own weapons against you with extreme ease without having to worry about any sort of skill penalty!" The man in a tuxedo knocked the zither off the woman''s hands while the hulking figure knocked the spear out of his hands with his hammer. The man jumped into the air, dodging a flying sword that just flew past him and grabbed the zither. "I haven''t fought any zither-focused cultivators in a long while, so please excuse my rustiness." The man in a tuxedo said before he blew into the zither. All four on the deck winced in pain as the flying sword ended up having it''s direction of flight disrupted and it stabbed into the woman. It pierced into her and surface out the other side of her body.
Title unlocked.
The man in a tuxedo looked in surprise at this window and then he gave out a laugh. "Hahaha! I''m afraid if any of you couldn''t kill me earlier, you most certainly can''t kill me now!" The man in a tuxedo said as he dropped the zither without a care and grabbed the rectangular box from his pocket and talked into it even though the others could hear. "Give me my set. Activate the array on my word." "I don''t believe that!" The hulking figure roared as he ran at the man in a tuxedo with his hammer, the man in a tuxedo dodged out of the way this time and let the hammer smash onto the ground where it smashed into a rack that had multiple weapons in it that just raised out from inside the ship, causing the weapons to go flying. Suddenly, five walls appear, boxing in the captains. The weapons bounce off the walls, the man in a tuxedo grabs a curved blade that was about to cut into his head by the blade. He flips the weapon to then go into a stance. He slashes at the person with the spear who said person parries it, but it was parried into the woman, which the butt end of the spear ended up driving the flying sword deeper into the woman, putting her into a dying state as her cut trachea that connects the lungs to the mouth shows. "Good job, you''ve killed one of your own, how many more will you betray?" The man in a tuxedo taunted. "Don''t kill her off so easily!" The man who temporarily lost his flying sword inside the woman shouts. "Don''t forget that you too contributed to the death." The man in a tuxedo rebuked coldly. A hammer much smaller than the hulking figure''s knocks the uchigatana out of the man in a tuxedo''s hand. The uchigatana collides with another weapon that was about to decapitate the woman and both objects clatter to the ground as the man in a tuxedo catches another curved blade weapon, this time as a polearm. "Ironic isn''t it? It''s like death is calling to you all. And I''m just the one who delivers you to it." The man in a tuxedo says as he admires his scythe. A hammer suddenly lands where the man in a tuxedo was standing at. The man in a tuxedo makes an attempt to cleave the women in retaliation. But the scythe doesn''t cut her and instead sweeps her off the ground and the man in a tuxedo spins once before sending it into the distracted brute. The sword''s point end impales the man with the woman still on it, and fall over to their sides. "I''m not going to lie, making a shish-ka-bob of cultivators does sound rather tantalizing." The man in a tuxedo muses to himself. A spear then appears where another parry occurs. This time with the man with a spear in a dangerous spot. "So impatient to join your friends, are you?" The man in a tuxedo mocked. A gauntlet however hits the scythe and once again knocks it out of his hands, preventing him from capitalizing on the spearman''s recoil. The spearman recovers and strikes at the unarmed man. The man in a tuxedo dodges once before the spearman strikes once again, where the man in a tuxedo grabs another falling weapon. The weapon is two sticks attached to each other with chains. The man in a tuxedo immediately takes a stance and then chains the spear, preventing the spearman from pulling it back, and pulls the spear out of the spearman''s hands once again. "You know, I would think that you wouldn''t fall for the old disarm trick." The man in a tuxedo says as the spearman raises his hand in the air and a curved blade that is close to a knife lands in. "Beggars can''t be choosers." The spearman remarked as he pointed his falchion at the man in a tuxedo. "Hey, that''s our idiom. Use your own non-sensical idioms." The man in a tuxedo complained. The spearman just ignored his claim as he charged at the man in a tuxedo. "Well, if that''s how you are going to play then, mantis stopping a chariot!" The man in a tuxedo swung his num-chuks at the spearman, the spearman just bats away the num-chuks non-chalantly. "I''m afraid that''s the incorrect usage." The spearman said as he disarms the man in a tuxedo and stabs him once in the pelvis. "Woah, woah, woah, watch where you are stabbing my good sir." The man in a tuxedo says as he throws him at the transparent blue wall. The man in a tuxedo drops his nunchucks and takes out the falchion. Only to get stabbed in the back. "Don''t forget I''m here too." The slim man said. The man in a tuxedo stabs behind his head as a response, only to cut air. The man in a tuxedo hurriedly removes the blade in his back. But was too late as he fell over and dropped falchion unwillingly.
You have been paralyzed for 3 seconds while your spine reconstructs.
The man in a tuxedo lays there motionlessly as he watches the lanky figure pull out the sword from the hulking figure and the delicate figure. They both drop to the ground but recover quickly with assistance. The man in a tuxedo then recovers himself and stands up. "Good fight. But I''m afraid I can''t allow any of you to leave alive." The man in a tuxedo said coldly. "You and what army?" The lanky figure that reclaimed his own spear said. "Me as a one-man-army." The man in a tuxedo replied.
Arms Definitive Activated.
The weapons stopped falling as they all had clatter to the ground. The man in a tuxedo seemed completely unbothered however as a transparent handle appears in his hands from out of nowhere. "While I am eager to find out what unique skill you just used, I don''t think it would be good for us to linger in this spot any longer." The hulking figure with a baritone voice said. "Well, if you plan to leave, I implore you to leave your lifeless bodies behind." "I''m afraid we''re not spiritual cultivators, but martial cultivators." The transparent blue handle in the man in a tuxedo''s hand suddenly reshaped into a longer cylinder that projected out at two ends. The four strike at the wall behind them at once while keeping an eye on the man in a tuxedo. The moment their attacks clash with the repelling of the wall, the man in a tuxedo rushes at them while twirling the rod behind him. The man in a tuxedo then jumps at them and the woman with an instrument sends an attack at him. Colorful lines manifest at the will of the zither player''s and rushes towards the person in the air. The man in a tuxedo clashes with the lines and dissipates them. He then twirls the rod above him as he lands. The hulking figure thrusts his hammer at the man in a tuxedo and the man in a tuxedo just bats the hammer to the ground and hops on it. The man in a tuxedo then disarms the hulking figure by stomping on the handle with a large force and flips the hammer to hit the back of the hulking figure''s head. The hulking figure collapses the the ground. The man in a tuxedo blocks the attacks coming from the man with a flying sword and the spearman using both ends of his rod while he jumps on the woman''s head and kicks her down to the ground. He proceeds to stop twirling his rod to pierce one of it''s ends into the woman. But he was interrupted as the blue transparent wall behind him shattered and fell. He looked behind him to see a man with tattered clothes with the facial features of a goatee and a mustache that had collided with the wall. He looks further on to see a man with a white coat also in tatters and looking rather beat up on his face. The fifth captain had shown up the man in a tuxedo was knocked off the girl by the man with a flying sword. The man in a tuxedo grabs the man with a goatee and retreats back. "Ruegus, to think you would fail." "Apologies sir... He''s also one... that has a... unique skill..." The man with a gruff voice said weakly. "No need to talk any further, retreat into the medical bay." The man in a tuxedo said as he makes Ruegus stand up. "Aye sir." The man then stumbles away into the ship where he found and went through a door. "It seems that someone has crashed into the party uninvited." The man in a tuxedo says as he goes into a stance. "You think I''m going to allow you to kill these people so easily?" The man in a white coat said in a pompous voice. "What I have said earlier hasn''t changed with the exception of one person being added to it." The man in a tuxedo said in a completely expressionless voice as he stared at the unwelcomed crasher dead-on. "Good, I hope you don''t dissapoint me then!" The man in a coat says as hops forward. The man in a tuxedo hops forward as well to meet the man in a coat. The man swings his ruler at the rod, the two collide with a small shockwave. The floor below them is damaged from the exchange. "It appears you are also of the overlord rank. Now come!" The man with a white coat roars as he points the ruler at the man in a tuxedo. A lightning bolt appears from the sky and smites the man in a tuxedo. The man in a tuxedo takes the lightning bolt head on and suffers from burns. He strikes at the man with a white coat with his rod, colliding with the ruler again. The man in a coat is knocked back this time and staggers to the unexpected disturbance. The man in a tuxedo takes the opportunity to impale the man in a coat, aiming for the heart. The other four who were recovering tried to rush in to help but were too late. The rod burns it''s way to the to the heart and pierces it. It continues to disintegrate the heart as the man in a tuxedo continues to impale through the back and damages the spine as collateral damage.
Minor Lightning Resistance has reached level 3.
The man in a tuxedo swings his rod back and the four strike at the man in a tuxedo. The man in a tuxedo blocks all the attacks using the man in a coat as a meatshield as a flying sword pierces his stomach, the lines cut the man''s legs, the hammer strikes the head, and the spear pierces his chest.
Yuguang Chang was slain. Title unlocked.
Another one, huh. The man in a tuxedo thinks as he makes a cold sneer. "Today is a great day." "Need help, Hamphony?" A feminine voice suddenly sounds from the radio. "Eva? And how are you here exactly?" The man in a tuxedo is sent into a bit of a panic as he hurriedly gets out his radio and speaks to it. "Look to the left of ya!" The man in a tuxedo and the other four who are still alive and overhear the conversation look to the left and sees an aerial vessel that is colored blue because of the distance between them, but is still visible. Suddenly the four ships below the flagship and the flying ship combust. Sparing only the still airborne Evertus Flagship and of course, the Lushi Flagship. "Doesn''t matter, the Calvary is here!" A voice of excitement sounds from the radio. Chapter 5

I awake to see a gray ceiling in front of my eyes. "Awake, you are? That''s good. There happens to be something that I wish to discuss with you on something that is rather imperative for your future." I heard a voice as my vision blurred and my head felt fuzzy. "Take a moment to settle, you just died after all. Well, not ''just'' died. But for you it is." As I got up my arm strength kept alternating between being able to lift me up easily and having extreme difficulty. "Do beware however, that you will not lose the fear of death from just this. You would only lose it if you were to revive only to become an undead." "Was it really necessary for me to kill them?" I said absentmindedly. I am more focused now on reflecting on my own actions as to whether I must do this to achieve what I desire. "Indeed, it was an unfortunate happenstance that the weakest foes happen to be rather overpowering, but it doesn''t decrease your woes, correct?" I don''t understand how this woman knows me so well... It''s extremely alarming, but somewhat comforting at the same time. "Nevertheless, you understand what you have to do to proceed and work towards your goal of meeting your relatives and helping them in getting comfortable with this sort of universe. The road ahead of you will be no easier than what you are currently facing in your situation." "What is the purpose of you calling me here then?" I say as I face Caiyaly who is sitting behind her desk. "Ah yes, we have wasted 30 seconds out of the 10 minutes I have given us, but I digress. Onto the main topic!" Caiyaly exclaims as she stands up and the desk fades away. "What I have called you here is discuss about one of your more important purposes in this world. Do you recall your titles, especially the ''Enforcer'' title?" "Yes, I believe I seen it while confirming my class." I tried to check my status while responding, but nothing came up. "Well, we are going to talk about that. More specifically, the effects and the purpose of that. Every title has an effect on a purpose that is hidden until you gain a certain skill or system. For Enforcer, you take reduced damage from another player''s attack unless they hold the title themselves and any player that falls at your hands, any experience they lose, you gain. That is for the future. What is now, is the extra damage to any entity with the race: ''chaotic abomination''." "What is an entity?" I asked, the vocabulary on this goddess is a bit too much for me. "An entity is a being that ''exists'' in some way. It''s really complicated to comprehend the exist part until you reach a higher point so do wait until then. These chaotic abominations are as difficult to explain and comprehend. However these chaotic abominations will always give you something upon your subjugation of them. Bring them here for rewards." "What kind of rewards are you talking about?" "Rewards in all kinds of forms. Information, abilities, systems, equipment, and history." Caiyaly replied, with a bit of a lack of emotion in her voice that startled me especially on ''history'' which felt like it was emphasized. "Allow me to share a sample of the history part. Eight centuries before you were born, a terrifying curse plagued this entire universe for aeons. If you were born during that age, if not dead already, you would without a doubt be living in extreme misery and torment to be inevitably played at the wills of others. The inhabitants of that time knew no kindness as terrors would unveil themselves at every twist and turn. Every bend of your body would introduce new pains and suffering. The system of this universe was not spared from this as well as it would rain the result of it''s corruption indiscriminately and unsparingly upon planes and realms. What resulted from this corruption, is the chaotic abominations. They are entities that should have never existed in the first place. And their constant plight would continue to plague this universe until they are all brought down. Even gods fear these chaotic abominations, and a resulting factor of one of these would sometimes be mortals turning other mortals and/or divinities into such abominations by exploiting this corruption." "How am I supposed to bring them down myself?" "Titles of this universe musn''t be underestimated. As chaotic abominations may be mighty foes, so should the power of their bane. This universe is most certainly still recovering from the curse, but it has most certainly recovered well enough if someone like you is able to walk the lands of the planet you are currently on." "Wouldn''t I worry first about surviving?" "That is indeed correct. As you are right now, you wouldn''t be able to survive against even the faintest taint. You will be able to take them on later as you get stronger." "What about... Turning into one of them? If-" "That is not something you have to worry about. Not only does your Enforcer title inhibits this, so does your Player title." "So, I don''t have to worry about the chaotic abominations for now?" "Yes, until you encounter one that is. That''s when the chaotic abominations themselves will force you into a fight. Very few have managed to escape one. Anyways, time is running out now."

"The very last thing and most important thing is, you can use your appraisal on your titles. I''m surprised you neglected and did not even think about this idea. You can even use your appraisal on items and skills." I found myself slightly embarrassed and interested at the same time. What I was doing was called appraisal? I could''ve done it on my things too... "That is all for now. Good luck once again." Callaly said as she sat back down behind her desk.

Now then, to take Callaly''s suggestion into account. First I choose... Novice Spirit Arts.Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more.
Novice Spirit Arts An uncommon skill that allows the skill user to borrow the power of willing spirits. This is the very beginner level of such skill and does not allow the user to use the skill to it''s full potential for safety purposes.
That doesn''t tell me too much. Hmm, since that description is simple, I think I will skip the other skills for now. But I am curious about Minor Health Recovery.
Minor Health Recovery You have obtained a need for a more healthy natural recovery of your health. This is a skill that is obtained from a rather extreme amount of health regeneration. Minor Health Recovery is a superior version of the Miniscule Health Recovery.
Does that mean that Minor Health Recovery isn''t a beginner level skill? To have such a skill along with my disease resistance, I must''ve gained and leveled these skills without even noticing in my past life. Onto the equipment.
Min (Inactive) This is a rare weapon that grows in strength along with it''s user. This allows it to improve in the threshold of durability and power amplification. It is currently inactive from a lack of a channel from it''s user. When active, it will turn into a weapon form of the spirit currently possessing it. Soulbound Enchantment: This object has been attached to your soul. If you were to die, you would take this item along with you. (29 Days 29 Hours 58 Minutes 47 Seconds before expiration of enchant.)
White Cloak An extremely common item that is purely for vanity purposes. Due to it''s bright color, it doesn''t give any stealth bonuses. Soulbound Enchantment: This object has been attached to your soul. If you were to die, you would take this item along with you. (29 Days 29 Hours 58 Minutes 47 Seconds before expiration of enchant.)
Is it possible to replace the White Cloak later on? I may have to find traces of civilization to do so.
Enforcer A title bestowed to those chosen by the SYSTEM and the high entities. Effects: 30% Damage reduction from those holding the "Player" Title. 500% Extra damage dealt against "Chaotic Abomination" Race. Gain EXP from those holding the "Player" Title that are slain by you. Immunity to "Lost" Status Effect. Cannot change Races. Gain one Follower. Lose Life Span Slower.
So, it''s possible to change races? What''s the "Lost" status effect?
Pure Saint No matter what, you have had always been untainted by the sins of those who have acted malicious towards you. You have never thought of taking any kind of malicious intention and have been regarded by people as a savior. You have been completely harmless your entire life and never harmed anything in any shape or form. Effects: Pure Saint''s Spirit Skill gained. Increased affinity with spirits.
I think I would''ve lost this title by now since I''ve harmed a lot of those rabbits.
Player You are a person of a unique status. Your actions here have much greater impact in your own world than you think. Effects: Connection to a World Hourglass. Ability to revive. Enforced Stability. 5% Damage Reduction from those holding the "Player" Title. Lose Life Span Slower.
Underdog You have fought a serious battle against something with many more personal levels than you and won. Effects: 500 Extra Maximum Health Points (Variable). 5% Damage increase against higher leveled foes. 5% Damage reduction from higher leveled foes.
"(Variable)"? What is that supposed to mean? Well before I move on, I just became interested in "Party Management" skill.
Party Management For the sake of sharing experience through killing or cultivating, you have gained this skill. You can form a party with anyone and share experience with them. When you reach ''Nobility'' all experience is distributed proportional to damage dealt to an enemy whether the battle is won or lost.
My thoughts are interrupted from a noise coming from the plains. My head turns to see a rabbit peeking it''s head out from a shrub, although the shrub doesn''t mask it''s size... That said, the rabbit appears to be bigger than normal as usual.
Frita Rank: Master Race: Serrated-Eared Rabbit

Looking around for my follower I see Vestrius close to the Phoenix Hourglass. Thinking back to what Callaly said, I used this moment to experiment while I still could as the rabbit seemed hostile like the others.
Vestrius Nomica has been added to the party.
As I thought. I only thought the word ''party'' and that occured. My eyes focus back onto the rabbit who is charging at us with a near blurring speed. Without hesitation, I activated the Min and swung at the rabbit. As my blade was about to make contact with the rabbit, a bright light flashes from the sky. A thundering crackle resounds from the sky as I see the rabbit in front of me is covered entirely in a bright light. And then my sword makes contact.

Twelve choices to choose from. Although as I am concerned about my current situation, I move the window out of my vision for now as I look around in alert. Catching a glance towards Vestrius, she did not look alert herself. "You know something about that thunder strike?" I asked harshly. "That thunder strike was caused by the Phoenix Hourglass. It deemed that you were in danger and thus used the skill smite on it." "Is that so?" My voice softens as I relax. "You should appraise the hourglass if you can do so." A familiar voice sounds from behind. I turned and realized that Mimi was there, floating with a bit of a dazed expression. "Aren''t you supposed to be dead?" "It''s because of a title that I have." I answer with no hesitation. "A title? What title?" Mimi pushed for an answer. "''Player'' title. It''s a special title. It allows an unlimited amount of revivals as long as this is here." I point to the Phoenix Hourglass. "I feel like that is something you should keep a secret to yourself from now on." Mimi then said with a bit of apprehension in her voice. "Why?" "That''s because anyone would become greedy for a title like that. Not only that, anyone would fear a person who could never stay dead. Imagine you killing someone you hate and yet they keep coming back." I don''t really get it. "What''s wrong with that?" "What is wrong with that is that you will experience more pain than you should!" Pain. Strength suddenly leaves from my legs and I fall to the ground. "What happened?" "It''s no... nothing." "I recommend you to stop talking to her." "Astoria? Why?" "You''ve triggered a response within her, and I would very much prefer it if none of my chosen became inept." "I thought you were a goddess." "That is my mother. I can still make mistakes myself. Hence my current interference. *Sigh*, even my sisters haven''t had to do this. Anyways..." The world became a void. Chapter 6 "I refuse to believe that this happened." A girl with white hair and purple eyes said. "Can''t be helped, it is partially the system''s fault actually." A woman with white hair and purple eyes said who looks older than the girl but young enough to be her sister. "Perhaps something interesting will come from this, no?" "But mother, this hasn''t occurred with my other two sisters..." Astoria said with a lower than usual voice. "In the end, the three of you are still young, only being centuries old. It is only inevitable, you aren''t your other two sisters either. So don''t compare yourself to them or otherwise you won''t grow well." Caiyaly said, hugging Astoria from behind. "But that isn''t all mother. The Serrated-Eared rabbits have returned and now Aliyah doesn''t even stand a chance, not even with the Phoenix Hourglass protecting her, and the Phoenix Hourglass will shatter because of that." "If that happens then that is it for the Phoenix Hourglass, there are still many other World Hourglasses out there that you still have. Nevertheless, Caiyaly believes in you, my child. Caiyaly recommends that you don''t give up on the Phoenix Hourglass." "Wait, I just got an idea, what about sending her on a mission?" "Caiyaly recommends against that. TRUTH is currently on the move. Our network is already spread thin by sending out Caden''s entire party. You will just get her killed then and there. But on that note, Caiyaly wonders who will end up dealing with TRUTH, because no matter what we do, TRUTH will eventually manage to infiltrate our network." "TRUTH? The True Concept?" "Yes. The True Concept who was subdued many centuries ago. Unfortunately She isn''t able to seal TRUTH completely." "Why not just destroy TRUTH? I''ve heard that She could do that." "She can, but we the higher existences would rather not deal with an unknown new True Concept that would birth after shattering TRUTH. And it seems that She can''t see anything when She shatters it. She can read TRUTH entirely however." "Then why hasn''t she directed us towards anything?" "She said that if things go the way they are currently directed towards, She will be able to seal TRUTH for an aeon. None of the higher existences dare defy her as She is the supreme existence." "Then what about him?" "Him? You mean the Progenitor? He''s completely useless against her. He may be almighty against everyone but She is an exception to that. He also can''t do anything to TRUTH as TRUTH is stronger than Him. Anyways we''re off topic. Although time here is stopped, Callaly cannot do this for very long or it will offset the balance. But Callaly has an idea for what to do as a mission." "Really? Can you please tell me mother?" "When Caden finishes his mission, we will use Almerati''s domain and teleport everyone there. There, we will hold an institution for learning that is disguised as a mission." "So, your saying we will be making an academy?" "Do not worry about the teachers and staff. There is still Caiyaly''s subordinates from Caiyaly''s mortal days." "Those old monsters!? Are you sure? And how are they still alive to this day!?" For the first time, Astoria shows a break in her exceedingly cool composure. "How rude, they can hear you if you say that." Caiyaly chides Astoria. "A- I''m sorry!" Astoria apologizes immediately. "Your mother isn''t the one who you should be apologizing to." A mature masculine voice sounds from behind. "Well, actually that''s wrong; your mother isn''t the only one you should be apologizing to." "Astan?" Astoria calls out as she turns around and sees a man in his twenties with sharp ears that point upwards. "I still remember the days when you called us something other than old monsters." A seductive female voice sounds and a woman in her thirties with feline ears on top of her head appears right next to Astan. "Aratisla?" "Caiyaly feels that it is nice to see that you are both here. You know what to do. Go." "Yes, Demon Goddess." The masculine voice says and fades into gray. "Demon Goddess Caiyaly, do you wish for me to weaken or cull the monsters for Aliyah?" "Neither. It will harm Aliyah''s growth if we were to act. Her Unique ability... It can transform..." "Very well then, I believe in the Goddess''s vision." Caiyaly''s head swings up suddenly as she seems to peer through the simulated skybox. "It seems the True Goddess Almerati and Astan needs my help. I guess I should''ve expected this." Caiyaly then says. "Help Astoria with managing her other chosen. It seems that Isia is having issues as it appears that rifts between Brumane and Isia are beginning to appear."The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. "Yes Demon Goddess. That reminds me of your former title; Demon Monarch of Prism." "Those days weren''t that great as the days now however, don''t you think so Aratisla?" "I still lived those days and had as much respect for you as I do now however." Aratisla responded as she kneeled to Caiyaly. "I''ll be bringing the twins as well for Astoria." "Those two?" Caiyaly says as she turns away. Horns appear on both sides of her head. "I remember the days at that place." Aratisla smiles in response. ""You called?"" Two voices that had different tones rang out. "Asther? Feldur? So you came." Aratisla said. "Well we heard that something exciting may be happening so we came!" A person with a bright perky voice said. "Don''t leave the two of us out of this, my Queen." A confident but slightly less energetic voice said. "She''s called Goddess now Asther! Haven''t we gone over this the last few centuries?" Feldur appears long with Asther. "My apologies, my Goddess." Asther immediately apologized. "Not a problem. Please handle this." Caiyaly said then she immediately disappeared from the room. Astoria begins to break out in cold sweat as all the other females in the room all looked at her at once. "I''m sorry, sisters?" Astoria quivers. "That''s not going to cut it ya know, Demon Princess?" A bit of malice is mixed into the energetic voice of Feldur as she begins to hover over to Astoria. "Yes, the words of the Demon Princess are indeed a great treasure, but by Caiyaly saying nothing, that means she won''t stop what we are going to do to you." Asther said with what appears to be a crooked smile on her face. "You do know that I am your older blood related sibling? Yes? We may be half or less, but there is still a connection..." Aratisla says with a bit of leaking out pressure that overpowers Astoria''s aura.
Moments later, a miserable Astoria who is constantly saying ''evil, cruel, etc.'' is being drawn on by Feldur who is peacefully humming away. Feldur''s cat ears twitch occasionally and so does Asther''s. Asther looks at Aratisla and Aratisla''s ears twitch as well while Aratisla beamed back at Asther. "Is there something wrong, Wein''Seth sisters?" "No your Highness, it''s just that there''s a bit of a change in this domain, did you not notice?" Asther asked curiously. "Now that you mention it, I do notice it now." Aratisla said as she went behind a desk. Aratisla sits and looks at the papers infront of her. After reading the page, she looks at another and repeats the process. "My mother appears to have deactivated the domain''s membrane and is using it for a port." "A port? Why would she ever need to use it as a port?" Feldur responded. "The only reason why my mother would use the domain as a port is if it has to do with mortals." "Couldn''t she use her powers of Prism and create countless rifts?" Asther asked. "I''m afraid it''s not so simple as I am also one of those with Prism. The rifts will collide with each other and cause instability in a universe if carelessly used. It may accidently create a pocket universe which would disrupt the universe as it won''t register well with the SYSTEM of this universe." "Is that so?" "Do remember that she isn''t almighty as she is right now. Sure she can take on both Phyriam and Virtuacra as she did in the past when she was transcending, but there are some restrictions to her power now." "Mother is-" Astoria started. "Silence. The higher entities are listening right now as the membrane is currently down." Aratisla cut off Astoria. "Yes, Elder Sister." replied with obedience. "Capijune Queen, what is the current plan?" Feldur asked. "Well first, we deal with this." Aratisla said as she points to an unconscious girl. "Define ''This''." A very weird voice sounds. Aratisla shakes in shock as a reaction to the voice and turns around to see a woman looking down on her with a smile that seemed fake. "O-older sister?" Aratisla addresses the newcomer with a strained smile. "You called?" The intruder responds with her expression changed. Looking at her face, you can discern a resemblance between her and Aliyah who was unconscious on the ground still. "Ye-... N-no..." Aratisla looks away as she thinks about what she had done. "Genesis, as much as you want to tease my elder sister, we should really address her." Astoria pops in as she still has markings on her face. Genesis takes a glance at Astoria, with her cold gaze breaking in an instant. In the next instant, Astoria finds herself stuck in the air in Genesis''s arms. Astoria looked at Genesis''s eyes to see stars brimming with adoration. "Genesis..." Astoria starts, only to receive a stronger hug in return. "You''re too... Cute!" Genesis continues to Astoria, ignoring her pleas. It was only after a while that Aratisla recovered, and Asther and Feldur were just enjoying the scenery as their tails swayed occasionally. Aratisla freed Astoria from Genesis''s claws so that they could finally have a serious discussion about the unconscious girl on the floor. "So about this girl..." Astoria starts once again. "Ah!" Genesis looks at the girl. She walks up to her and crouches, to which she proceeds to pick up unresponsive girl. Brimming with curiousity and extreme interest, Genesis looks at the face that almost appears to be a spitting image compared to hers. With the doppelganger in her arms, she plays with her face. "Aliyah?" The Wein''Seth sisters finally question. "There''s no need to worry. I know what I am doing." Genesis replies. She picked her up in a princess carry with a tinge of gentleness in her eyes. Everyone in the room saw it and were completely confused. "My lady." A formal woman stands at attention as they suddenly appeared in the room. She twitched moments after appearing. "Mistellos, please don''t act out of line." Genesis cuts Mistellos off, as Mistellos was about to look around in the room in search for the source of disturbance. "Yes, my lady." Mistellos gathers herself as she proceeds to stand in attention. "Come, Asther, Feldur, and Aratisla, come to me." Genesis begins as she begins gathering energy in the air, creating multiple balls of light. "I know what Demon Goddess Caiyaly wants, but there is no need to rush the Restan Academy. We have plenty of options and Caiyaly is too quick to perish the other options and is inefficient with her. She doesn''t seem to entirely realize one important thing about this girl. Let us bestow upon her our boons." There were four orbs. Asther, Feldur, and Aratisla infused their own power into their own orb, leaving one out. The girl levitated away from Genesis as the four orbs hovered over her. They then moved to make contact with her and enveloped her as it infused with her. Then everyone except Mistellos watched as she slowly returned to Genesis''s arms. Genesis then gave her to Astoria. "Take care of her." Genesis looked into Astoria''s eyes. Astoria nodded. Then both Genesis and Mistellos disappeared from the room. Aliyah showed signs of consciousness.
In the Capital City of the Lushi Republic, Koru. "Military, report!" A heavy voice errupts. "Sir! The attack from the Evertus Kingdom has been brought down! We took down three ships and captured the flag ship while capturing all four commanders! Our ship has sustained heavy but repairable damages! We also have captured the nano technology that they use for their ships!" A man in a tuxedo, Hamphony responds. "Homeguard, report!" The same heavy voice reports once again. "There has been recent reports of people disappearing. Our sources from the Magician''s Plight have reported that there are disruptions in the space and rifts are appearing!" "Planetary invasion?" "No sir! The rifts appear to go to a world without magic!" "Ignore the rift then, it will go away, and anyone who is foolish enough to step foot on this world from that world will die within seconds." Chapter 7 In an endless void of rainbow colors that strobe constantly throughout the area four people can be seen. "The despositions of these auras are no good." A woman who looks like eighteen says. She also possesses horns on the sides of her face. "Indeed, The Progenitor said that he would be here but where is he?" A man with ears that point up says. "Forget about him, the four of us is plenty." A child who also looks eighteen says. She also has colorful hair that starts as a purple color at the base of her hair and becomes rose at the ends. "Shall we start, Callaly?" A mature woman in her twenties says. "Ready when you are Virtuacra and Phyriam." "The decontamination of this will be serious. Don''t let your guard down, young one." Phyriam said. "You are younger than me though..." Chris said. "As the God of Justice, I will ignore this however." "Now now, Hadrica House Head, don''t let this get to your head." Virtuacra said. "Wh-... Whatever..." Chris sighs. The shared feature of Callaly, Phyriam, and Virtuacra... Is their hair... At the very least it reaches down to a little below their waist and at most to their knees. Countless bends in space are made as the spatial current becomes turbulent. The strobing in the area becomes distorted as the four look at one way. "So, what about the savior of this universal era?" Callaly asked. "The savior this time around seems rather terrible. She won''t do well with us." Virtuacra said. "That''s unfortunate, I was hoping I could rough a savior into shape." Phyriam said. "By terrible, I mean her days are numbered." Virtuacra continued. "A limited savior again? What is it this time Phyriam?" A dark glint appears in the three''s eyes as Callaly asks. Chris notices and is a bit startled but, does not dare to say anything. "The 11th time ever since I''ve started counting." Callaly''s horns turn purple. "What have you read Callaly?" Virtuacra asked. "This time isn''t as complex as the both of you thought. Callaly has mended all the tears in space. Only one sustainor has gotten to Isia however." "That''s his problem then." Phyriam said. "Oh? I never knew you were so cruel to your child''s chosen." Callaly said with a fake expression of surprise. "You know me Callaly, I don''t go easy on my child. Unlike the two of you. The bare minimum I have done is that I just sent a message to my child to warn her about it. Any second now, he will receive the quest update." "You just have no experience of being a mother. You will learn soon." Callaly says with a smug face, the purple color fades from her horns. "There''s no need to learn because of that." Phyriam fired back without any change in her tone. "*Sigh* right, cause of that." Callaly''s smug changes back into her usual unchanging cold one. "Do you wish to say your favorite words, Callaly?" Virtuacra said. "I believe it is too early for that. We''re at the very cusp of it right now."
Lushi Republic Capital, Koru. "Report on the recent case of missing persons?" "Not sure if we should call this a ''case'' but one person has recklessly decided to travel into the rift as reported by witnesses." "Who is this person?" "He''s a powerhouse getting closer to the Calling; he is Gilded rank. His name is Esteban Rivero." "That guy? The Head Sorcerer of that guild?" "Indeed. It would be unfortunate to lose someone like him. But the gods will likely kill him off." "Hopefully the gods will spare him instead." "Sir, a report just came in, the rifts have disappeared, no one can travel through the rifts now." "*Sigh*, that means he''s stuck there now and can only escape if the gods allow him to."
Somewhere in Heliang Dynasty. This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. "The dynasty has restricted travel into the spatial rifts and declared anyone who dared to travel through them a dead man." "What about the Sustainors over there?" "It appears that they aren''t so strict with their people, so one of them ended up traveling through the rift." "That''s fortunate. Less Sustainors to deal with." "Get this, the Sustainor who did it was one of the Gilded rank." "Hmm? It sounds like we may be able to engage in battle at the high realms then." A pause was then made by one of the people engaged in the discussion, the other one noticed. "What is it?" "The rifts are all gone. They''ve all disappeared at once." "The gods... We will soon understand them, and it is our path to reach them." "Yes, CEO of Miracle Grand. It was a pleasure to meet you but I have other business to attend to." "Of course, Cult Leader of God''s Gift. We may be enemies but it doesn''t mean we can''t exchange information." The two cupped fists to each other and split. One of them leaves the room. "If only you knew I was affiliated with the gods, Xi Chen. And soon they might assign me to a Quest that requires me to kill you." Two rows of white teeth shows on the remaining person who then disappears as he leaves his words.
In a room of what the walls seem to depict the sky in a world, floor is completely red and the bottom of the walls is also completely red, but then as you go up the walls, the red starts to become purple. At the middle of the wall, there are clouds on it. As you continue going up, the walls become completely purple and start to have stars depicted on them. At the ceiling, there is a huge spiral of stars that emit light. Alone in the room, is someone that looks younger than Phyriam. Her hair only reaches her shoulders and is curled into what appears to be spiral galaxies at the ends. Like Phyriam, her hair alternates from purple at the base of her hair, to rose. She is currently looking at a screen, depicting four different people on top of a building, one lazing around, and the other three looking down at the streets. "Snake Dreadnaught, huh." A soft voice comes out.
On a snow mountain, on some world. "Oh great High Entity! Please spare this lowly one!" A squeaky plea came from a small fluffy animal. Infront of that fluffy animal, was a extremely sinister figure with a purple viscous fluid that streams down from the top of the figure to the bottom. However, that fluid doesn''t flow and drop onto the ground and instead disappears at the bottom of the figure''s feet. The figure is a humanoid with two glaring red eyes that are stuck onto the small animal infront of it. It appears to be wearing armor, and it also wields a scythe that has the same purple viscous fluid flowing down on it, one could also see a black gem on the part that binds the handle of the scythe with the blade. The sinister figure begins to walk towards the small animal, walking on the snow, but it doesn''t leave any tracks, nor does it make a noise as it moves. "No! Stay away from me!" The small animal panicked at the figure''s movements and began to run away. It darted through a small hole in a wall that was behind it, but even though it made it to the other side inside the building that it entered, it did not stop panicking. Only the cold breezy wind of the weather could be heard, but that only made it more terrifying for the small animal. The small animal stands in the middle of the room, looking at the small hole it came in through, turning it''s sight at the sole window, then peeking at the door. Nothing was there. But the small animal just couldn''t relax. Suddenly, the small animal feels something touching it''s feet. It looks down, and sees one hand with purple viscous fluid on it, grabbing the small animal''s two legs. The birds flew as screams echoed throughout the mountain. White specks fell from the sky. But if one was to look closely, those specks were not snow. The white specks do not make the snow any deeper when they land on the ground. The snow remains at the same level. More and varied screams echoed throughout the mountain. Cries of terror would spook the birds until there were none left. Then the screams ceased. At a mound of animal bones, next to it is the sinister figure. The sinister figure kneels and brushes a skull that was a distance away from the mound of bones. Close to the skull is a pile of neatly stacked bones. But if one was to look closely, the bones that the sinister figure was touching was the most humanoid out of all the bones that could be seen in the area. The sinister figure got up and looked up at the sky. One would notice the sinister figure has a forlorn look. High entities are entities that should never be defied.
"Report!" "Sir, we still haven''t found him." "It''s only been a day! Use all means to find him and his group!" "But sir, we haven''t found any traces of either his mana signature or anyone else that is with him!" "Then keep searching! He should not have gotten far from here! We''re burning sunshine men!" "But sir, it''s only been dusk for a few minutes!" "Don''t give me that shit you smartass! The client will chew me out if we don''t find him! And so it''s either his head or your fucking head! Do you understand me?" "Yes sir!" "Now then, find that damned Snake Dreadnaught! We have all this manpower, yet we have turned up no fucking results whatsoever so far!" "So you haven''t found him yet, huh?" "W- Sir! I''m afraid we haven''t yet even though we even deployed our prized search drone, we still haven''t found him!" "Are you sure you''re "prized" search drone isn''t malfunctioning?" "No sir. We always run maintenance checks before we deploy it." "Is it not the incompetency of your workers then?" "No sir! I''ve personally hired them and would run them through checks monthly!" "Then what are you suggesting?" "I''m not sugges- ...This lowly one isn''t sure of what may have happened to the Snake Dreadnaught..." "Oh? It seems like you are implying that the Snake Dreadnaught is no longer here. Are you sure you all are not hiding him yourselves?" "No... Sir! We wouldn''t do that to our important employer!" "Do what?" "We wouldn''t betray you! Our company is based on trust between the customer and service providers!" "So then what are the results?" "The results are is that we haven''t found a trace that matches neither Snake Dreadnaught''s mana signature, nor his team that stays with him!" "The Snake Dreadnaught I know wouldn''t disappear so easily. The only way he could escape is by brute force, despite his snake part, that''s only for tricking people, but he will still eventually get caught. You are telling me that the Snake Dreadnaught has gain an ability or found someone with the ability to teleport without leaving a mana signature?" "It''s possible, it is rumored that one of his lackeys have the "Space Devisor" job. "They would have to be at least the 6th level to be able to mask or hide their mana signatures, and only the Snake Dreadnaught is at Venerable Rank. The rest should be at Sovereign rank." "Then what do you think, sir?" "What do I think? Divine intervention. That''s the only possibility." "Hmm, it''s true that there are rumors that the Snake Dreadnaught has been blessed by a diety. But why would this activate now out of all times?" "If it''s a protection, then it wouldn''t matter since protection influences fate. It wouldn''t be weird if he found one of those spatial rifts earlier then. Continue searching, I guess I will have to see if I can find results not in this area." "Yes sir!" Arc 2: A Drop Into The Descent, Chapter 8 (Caden) I jolt up feeling an extreme jarring headache. Terrible day as usual. I open my eyes to see a towering structure. With some sort of concrete and glass, it imposes with it''s size. My name is Caden Davis. And I am what I believe myself to be a semi-sociopath. While I may not remember what it means to be a sociopath, I do know it''s not like I am a psychopath. I also don''t really feel like looking up the definition of a sociopath. "So, these are all the people that will face against Brumane? How tragic." A voice that sounds rather sonorous resounds rather close to my ears, causing my train of thought to be interrupted. "Well, there''s not much I can do about it. Phyriam said that the system is what does this. The purpose of such according to her, is to adapt every living being to the system''s parameters. She did tell us as well that before they even started to act, the system would instantly introduce the world and it''s inhabitants to the other world and it''s inhabitants." I responded. "But at least this time they stand a fighting chance." A heavy masculine voice sounds behind me. "Indeed, but still, how unfortunate, how very unfortunate. There will still be a large amount of loss of life in this planet. Well, the sooner we complete the mission, the better." I mulled out loud.

A month huh? No. In our world. This world, it''s almost 3 months. That''s plenty of time. But, alas. This is an actual challenge. Not easy. No sir. "Found anything yet, Lulili?" I speak into an amulet. "No. There are no signs of any Sustainors in this city. This isn''t my forte. Do it yourself." The amulet''s gem faded in color. "True concept? More like a fucking buggy concept. Can''t even find a single trace of them." Running my mouth off, I stand up and look down at the streets. "What if they are Legend rank like her though? That may be why Lulili was forced onto you by the higher entities instead of them allowing you to pick from three." The sonorous voice echos by my ear. "You words indeed make sense. After all, having her in our party bolstered our luck to scary levels." "Have you forgotten what fortune means?" A voice sounds from the amulet. Shit, I forgot to turn it off. "On another topic it would be nice if the enemy was using modern weaponary. In this planet, it will be a challenge to maintain such weaponary. They wouldn''t have the same intricacies in kinetic weaponary as they do here and if they were to use an energy weapon, then they would draw attention from all over the world as energy weapons have a much larger capacity than anything small that uses power here." I say, thinking to myself. "They can still power their energy weapons by themselves if they were a user of a certain power like a lightning mage. But for the kinetic weapons, that is true since materials that can be found normally on Brumane are extremely rare on untransformed worlds like this one." A voice sounds from the amulet once again. "But if they were able to do that, you would''ve found them a long time ago." I say inconsiderately. "...That''s true." "Luchi, have you been able to find anything in the deep recesses of this city''s government?" I say in an attempt to move away from the current topic since it wouldn''t do us any good.A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. "It appears that the government is hiding something from what I''ve seen. I''ve retrieved logs of data containing the word "otherworlder" but, they''ve all been corrupted so far." "Found anything strange yet Robin?" "Nope, I haven''t found anything that would be weird in a world without magic. It is interesting that these people use the universal measurement system instead of whatever measuring system worlds like these usually have." "Well, onto progression it is then, Rika, found anything that we could do without the need of "job experience" that is legit?" "As annoyingly it is, I have finally managed to find a good paying job that isn''t illegal and can help us accrue materials. We already know how to build working servers, and doing labor in this world privately isn''t difficult at all thanks to our magic powers, but to think that we can''t just get the materials so easily." "It''s this kind of world. Anyways, what do you have for us Rika?" "Some of these jobs are as interesting as the jobs in our own world. Some of them can have an impact later on. Majority of them happen to be self-employed jobs." Rika says as she shows us a list on the screen of her device that isn''t connected to anything.
Job Lists Streamer - A long-term job where one streams a type of content to people. Predicted pay: Dependant on job occupant. Author - A job where you write stories and share it in a form of either digital media or physical form like in our world. Predicted Pay: 100k in country''s currency. Material Salesman (Needed) - A job where you buy and sell materials. We need this one to purchase the materials we need, and could be helpful if paired with someone who can find materials and dig it out. According to this world, there are untouched veins under the ocean. DO NOT sell our valuable materials. Only use the ones in this world. We will need to complete security checks before you can do this. Predicted Pay: 1M+ in country''s currency. Ocean Miner - A job where you can mine underwater using our technology that surpasses this world. Just make sure to be modest in extraction rates. Predicted Pay: 5M+ in country''s currency. Private Detective (Caden) - This is automatically assigned to Caden so that he can find the illegal sustainor. Predicted Pay: Depends on him. Medical Worker (Luchi) - This is automatically assigned to Luchi as Luchi''s Ki can be completely harmless to the inhabitants of this planet and can even be used for medical use. Predicted Pay: 500k in this country''s currency. Music Artist- A job where one...
Well then... Quite the amount we can pick from. Two are interesting, but they aren''t exactly efficient in making money. The projected pays are how much we can make before our time is up. We have much less time since a day on this planet is much shorter. And that time doesn''t include the time to build a quantum-level server. "We don''t have time to build up a reputation in this world. Although we are awake much longer than the average human in this world, we have much less time in this world than we would in our own world. Hence, not a lot of jobs are available." Rika informed. "Also, we can''t use our magic to manipulate the people in this world, because it is extremely harmful to them. In fact, our very presence is poisonous to them. The only reason why we aren''t harming anyone is because we have been given permission by Phyriam and she veiled our mana so that it doesn''t have any indirect affect on this planet. So the same can''t be said for the illegal sustainor. He or she is most certainly killing everything on the planet, no matter where he goes." "We don''t need much for the quantum-level server as we already have the best materials for it." Luchi said. "We only need a piece of land to dig into and we can start building it. We do need a coolant for our server however, and to get out word, we need an advertisement. We need money for both of those. With our technical skills, we can easily blend into society and fake our identities. But with us being limited on magic, we can''t just fake a reputation." "And if we we''re to exploit magic on the people, Phyriam would know and our rewards would be deducted." I finalized. "Not only that, our magic would actually kill people. Using magic would get us nowhere and would instead make it harder for us." The moment after, we already have decided which jobs to take on. As for why I am going to be a private detective, it is because of one of my skills, Somnium Memory.
Somnium Memory Your memory has been refined to the point of near transcendance, you were either born this way or grown this way. When you reach the level cap of this skill, you will reclaim all memories and will remember every little detail of a memory no matter what happened to you. You can access this memory within your mind whether you are dreaming or awake. When you reach Ascendance while at the skill''s level cap, you will gain something special. With this skill, all memories are organized and you will even completely remember your dreams. This skill allows you to earn skill experience from practicing skills in dreams. With this skill, you can gain occupation/path experience from exterminating monsters in your dreams.
Another useful thing I have gained from this skill is a unique skill, Forebodding Dreams.
Forebodding Dreams Your dreams have shown you the way to the future.
From what I''ve understood, Forebodding Dreams isn''t actually easy to use. In fact, it would be extremely difficult to utilize without my memory skill being at least "Dream Memory". The skill that my Somnium Memory is evolved from. With my near perfect memory, and my great deductive skills, I am the best person to take on this job. For other Staff members, they would have much trouble with this quest compared to me. Every staff member besides me is a rank lower or two, being Either Emperor or Sovereign rank. My aides are at Sovereign rank so it would be safe to say that my party is currently the strongest. I''ve heard from Phyriam however, there is one staff member who is still at Trivial rank somehow... She didn''t tell me why, but she only made me aware of it''s existence. It''s quite mysterious, after all this turmoil, especially those Blood Moons. They happen every year and we''ve been here for eight years. Unless that person is in a pocket dimension or stuck in a sacred dungeon, there''s no way it wouldn''t encounter and have to fight a demon. Those demons are rather ferocious in the wilderness. Now, to address the Quest, there''s an interesting thing that the color of the window indicates the difficulty of the quest. I''ve only heard there being seven different colors that the window can appear in however so there may be more, this is the order from easiest to hardest: blue, green, light green, yellow, orange, and red. I''m convinced there are higher difficulties however. But nevertheless, I haven''t seen/heard of anymore colors. Perhaps the other staff members are keeping it a secret since there is actually quite a bit of competition and some of the staff members are rather selfish. Especially that one cultivator staff member. He''s extremely secretive and I''ve heard he''s founded Miracle Grand yet he hasn''t told anything about it to us. Can''t wait to kill him to insult him. We rarely meet however, and when he respawns, I doubt he will do anything to retaliate. Anyways, to focus on my given job, I left the rooftop of the skyscraper I was on. How did I get off? I just jumped off. A 800 meter drop is no problem to someone like me. I could even survive a 5 km drop with no damage. Of course I did this without being noticed. Would be troublesome if someone were to think I were some super human. I went to a building that we bought on the first day of coming here. It''s a two story building that doesn''t look very big, but it''s big enough for me it doesn''t look great either but I''m fine with it. I opened the door and went in without hesitation. Inside, there was a desk with a laptop on it. It''s a laptop from this world since I wasn''t interested in using my personal one that''s extremely high-tech. It would be troublesome to adapt the laptop to this world''s technology. So I''m not going to utilizing my personal laptop. I left my duffel coat on a hanger that is nailed to the wall and sat down behind the desk. I powered up the laptop and waited for the startup to finish. This laptop is rather shit... I would only have to wait for barely a second for my laptop to finish starting up. This one is taking minutes... After waiting out the startup process by complaining inside, the laptop finished and I opened up a browser. I went to a mailing website and opened up my emails. There was nothing there with the exception of Rika and Luchi''s emails that were sent to this computer. Rika''s email was information of the illegal sustainor. She retrieved information from the government about any classified information since there should be an incident of the illegal sustainor''s arrival. It mentioned that a child died after getting into contact with a mysterious man while she was in the hospital. The hospital suffered major damages to it''s infrastructure and nearly collapsed. That sounds about right. It''s not weird for an illegal sustainor to do that much damage. Now for Luchi''s email; It''s a completely useless email of picture of a box with an image of a giant robot. I hold my head and sigh. And with that, I close the laptop and went upstairs. I cooked myself a simple meal and ate it. I then went to sleep to end the day. The bed was surprisingly comfortable.
