《The firestorm brothers- Dez' beginnings (in progress)》 Home coming Dawn has come, his legs are tired from running all night. His breath coming in slow, trained pants. Mist tickling his throat as he scrambles over the rocks. He pauses just a moment to admire the golden grey skyline of the early dawn. Two more steps, and his legs launch him into the misty abyss along the water fall. This is what he lived for. His eyes trace the passing water, fear and excitement fill the very fiber of his being. Looking up he casually counts the seconds in his head, a rough jerk as his suit opens up. He sighs in a dissapointed fashion, eyes tracing the forest. Tree tops almost touching him, stealth was important. He thinks about his recent discoveries and how this world is going to hell in a hurry. Genetic companies waging war with monstrosities, and others failing and things getting away. He was young, but had already worked as a mercinary for a few years, using mainly streed knowlage. He sighs, knowing he has new problems, as well as his curse. See he was an escapee, bred to kill. Yet something went wrong. They tried to kill him, some friends as they call them selves had been watching. They plucked him out, leaving only a card depicting a storm of fire over its shimmering black surface, and two numbers. It was a rough start, but he had a name and a job. He had been nicknamed Dez by a contact, and took it as a name. Dez shakes himself from his mulling and looks around. Znome territory, a ways still from the safety of the colony. Something in him feels something is amiss. He relaxes focusing on each sense. His eyes scan quickly, a clearing ahead and toolate to veer off. He prepairs himself, a full auto shot gun coming off his back. Dez sees what has him edgy, a zetti patrol unit. The terror built after the ghost stories of big foot and yettus of old. It''s rotting flesh and the arm cannon. A failed but effective unit. The beast and Dez make eye contact as several shots are fired. The zetti''s shot hits the right side of his body glider, Dez knows he has micro seconds before the beasts targeting systems adjust. His shot gun booms twice driving his free fall sideways. He hits a tree, pain and the sounds of snapping branches assaults him. The tree trunk near his head explodes in passing before he hits the damp musky forest floor. Air knocked out of him he wheeze heavily. His own modifications mostly unused are kicking in. His body regenerates and his Fibre laced bones pull them selves together as his Nero defence numbs the pain. Dez was built for nerc work. He rolls as the zetti roars suddenly there, not quick enough. He feels his ribs shatter as he is punted towards the center of the clearing. He spits blood groaning for air. His vision blurred between feeble human will to pass out, and hardened survival instincts to live. He raises his gun. Loosing two slugs and rolling as the zetti chargesDez hears a deep howl and a wet pop, his mind breathes relief then hearing the zetti crash to the ground "Lucky seven." he mutters. Considering he should have never started this small time extermination. He lays there for awhile, thankful so far there are no others. He gets up, his body back in one piece. He recovers the zettis processor and power core. He looks the rotten creature over, alive but dead. He spits on it and limps off. Hunger from the load on his systems, a flaw of all his type he has met. The sector that made him had been shut down. In his free time he had hunted all but two down. He isn''t sure where they are, but atleast got their records before torching a storage facility he had worked his way into. Two days have passed and he had to feed on a sickly deer, he wasn''t happy about this curse. Walking up to the small old colonial style house he had built, He smiles and bangs the door open on his place, Iggy his current girlfriend jumps in suprise. He has been gone three months on this last job, and sadly still has a good bounty on his head. Iggy runs up and hugs him tight. Dez returns the embrace and kisses her forehead "Hey my dove." Iggy steps back and smiles brightly, what Dez wouldn''t do to live in her smile for all eternity the way she just glows. Without a word Iggy goes to set a bath after bringing him a pitcher of ice water. A rare commodity still. Dez sits and takes his gear off piece by piece, cringing a few times as he still feels the fight. He plans to check in with his contract carrier in the morning. Iggy returns and escorts him to the bath, looking his pale body over. Eyes Tracing the thick bruises "Rough job my love?" Dez smiles "He wasnt big enough." Iggy laughs, Dez having been very confident in himself.Dez chuckles watching Iggy slide his trousers he wears under his armor off. He looks away shyly, still not used to how his body reacts to her. Iggy finds that part cute and strokes him stepping close to bite his earlobe and whisper "Looks like you need a lot more than a bath dear." Dez trembles excitedly, hands gripping her thin, dress covered waist "Mmphh.. Your my little silver bullet dove." Iggy giggles letting him go and helping him into the warm bath. Dez likes the play and gives her a playfully disappointed look. He relaxes into the bath water and Iggy starts washing him. The water still has a sulfer smell, bath water was OK. He reaches grabbing the other usual glass of ice water. He sips it as a viking would mead after a long journey from home. Iggy massages and cleans him. She drains the water once he is clean and replaces it with slightly hotter water for him to soak in. She slips from her dress joining him to cuddle a bit. Dez admires her dark skin and hard nipples, her body showing its excitement to his presence. He wraps hiss arms around her.Iggy knowing what he is bares her neck. Dez doesn''t expect the nourishment, but with her and Zela before it was always offered. He peppers the bared spot with kisses, feeling her squirm. Enjoying her soft noises of pleasure, he sinks his fangs in and drinks gently. See Dez was a unit built to go long range and not require food ratiobs. They lived on their victoms, it took several years of isolation to learn control, then resentment for his creator. It took him several years to learn who made him, and a little bit later he came to know the one. He enjoyed church and truly believed he was watched o er. Dez gently pulls off and licks the wound, fully sated. Iggy grinds into his lap, Dez never understood the part of her that got turned on by this. He massages her shoulders, shy about sex but willing. He leans close kissing her throat "Do you need me my dove?" his tone sultry and low, he wanted her more than usual ton8ght. Iggy nods starting to pant. Dez guides her out of the tub and dries her off.Dez takes her to their chambers and enjoys the night. His prior lover never went this far, but they enjoyed each other''s bare caresses. Iggy was beautiful in the ebony tinted moon light shining through the sky light, it made her olive tanned shin glow. Her hair shimmering with its well kept silkiness, and her fiery green eyes became rather entrancing as they ground their hips face to face. Pressing affectionate kisses across each others necks, as Iggy clawed his shoulders gently. Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. It all seems to pass too quickly, it''s soon morning. Between her ferocious appetite in bed and the amount of energy she had, she absolutely amazed him. Dez awakes, the sun high and her nude form perching next to him with a tray of food. A wide smile, and a giggle she offers him a piece of smoked meat "Good morning my love. How are you?" Dez leans a bit and kisses her outer thigh, eyes catching a wave of Goose bumps before he scoots up to lean on the beds head board.Iggy smiles and feed him. The next hour passes talking about the next month. Dez needs to pick up his pay, but he wants to tend his home a little. After they bathe and make plans to run south to (need city name) to have a date night at a rather fine restaurant. Dez checks his small green house, singing a song as he waters and tends his plants. Iggy has wandered to some other job, Dez chuckles to himself. Though an uneasy feeling lingers, always has since the one of his lab kin was murdered a few years ago. At that the man lived a quiet life as a farmer. Dez soon moves to the solar yard, a bucket of coating he wipes each panel off and checks the connectors. He pauses, seeing something at the edge of his yard. He walks cautiously, listening. As he gets to the corner, a little relief just seeing its a damaged fence panel. Relaxing ''Could have been the wind again, have to replace that.'' Dez heads back in, his eyes pleased as he watches Iggy ballet around the kitchen in a sheer sundress, a small radio playing some old jazz type music. She is escorting some dough from the riser to a pan to set in the oven. She doesn''t notice him till she is at the oven, a light twitch and a giggle she slides up to kiss his nose "Hey love." fully denying she was startled. Dez smiles wide and pulls her into a firm hug "Mm.. Smells good in here mmy dove." A kiss to her fore head"I need to head up to the bar an get my pay, I''ll be back by dark." Iggy nods as they lean their faces together" OK, be quick.. I got dinner for tonight planned. Come I''ll help you get ready." Dez chuckles and follows her. He is soon in his armor and headed out with a bottle of water. Dez looks over the little oasis of a town below, then around the neighborhood where most who like peace live. He sighs still nervous about the broken fence. He heads west for the coach shop, planning if he can''t get a ride to borrow a horse. The Elder man Dez is lucky and catches a coach headed to the northern town of Helen. He spends some time thinking, planning for the trip south to Greenwich for the dinner date. Iggy was really helping him past his barriers. His last lover tried, the furthest from home she got him was the bar in their home town. Dez was always worried about his work, and someone coming after his friends. So in turn he tried to stay low. Iggy had been attacked once a bit after they met, she was quite the fighter. This Dez believes is how she put him more at ease. She was good with gun and sword, and later he found out her childhood was pretty rough. Dez scoffs to himself and chuckles, in his mind two and two went together. Explaining some of her kinks, as he came to call them. His musing is interrupted by the elderly man he is sharing this coach with "You look awful thoughtful over there boy. What''s your name?" Dez hesitates, caught between defence and curious. The man didn''t ask for any split. After an Aqward moment he clears his throat "Dez, sir.. I can still offer a split on the ride." The elder man laughs gently "No need son, my time is near and where I''m going money isn''t needed." Dez nods, his nose twitching at the smell. He is just noticing as his other half screams a little. This man is dying, hints of decay. His eyes trace the man, a bandaged arm, cuts. Dez speaks on instinct" Is there retribution needed sir? " The old man''s eyes light up, a wide smile" Yes boy, but it has already been gifted." a slow pause, the old man''s eyes trace him and he leans forward, a light cough" Ye ever hear of the firestorm? " Dez hesitates, but nods" They saved me from a dark place." The man nods" Thought so, good people." Dez nods. The ride passes quietly, except a few grunts and coughs from the elder man. Dez watches out the darkened windows. It was surprising but there are still machines from the past running about, a lot more than one would think after that nasty bit that wiped out most of civilization. The coach rolls to a stop in Helen, Dez notices a group in trench coats uncomfortably close to the stop. He looks them over, tell tale signs of weapons concealed. The elder man stands, Dez grabs his shoulder gently "Please sit, can I borrow your jacket?" the man looks at him, Dez nods outside. The elder man pales "More of them coyotes.. Ugh.. Here.. An be quick, I ain''t got much time." Dez nods slipping the man''s jacket on "Do your thing, I''ll tail ''em off." Dez gives the old man his jacket, then slides the other on. A word to the coachman and he steps out, it''s a bit brisk. He tucks his head low and heads off, as he figured the shady group follows. The click of a baton, whistling. Dez ducks and punches the man in the throat. The sound of crushing wind pipe confirming kill, the man collapses suffocating. Sounds from the other four drawing weapons, Dez steps to the side as a gun is fired. The figure behind him catches the round in the chest, probably hitting the heart by the gurgling sound from the wound. The smell of fear excites Dez, two left. A foot step behind him, a switch blade pierces his coat. Dez feels the sting of the cold steel grazing his rib cage. He spins on the man''s momentum, grabbing him as a shield. Eyes tracking the other, he is running. Dez gingerly snaps the neck of the man in his arms and bolts off. No survivors, but needing information and some one for the beat to hold he follows the gunner into an alley. He grabs the man slamming him into a wall, clanking steel, the gun clattering away. The man looks up at Dez, he is just a little above five foot. He trembles, not fighting back "Look man, we had the wrong coach.. Don''t kill me.. I have some money for your trouble.." Dez smells piss, warm and salty tingling the air. A sadistic grin "I''m not going to kill you, but I want to know why your men tried to hit me." fir effect Dez slams the man into the wall "And don''t lie." The man knowing he is screwed on top of killing a friend whimpers, tears rolling from his eyes. His words shake "There''s an elder man carrying important files stolen from my boss Hector.. I th.." Something makes a sizzling sound, the man convulsed in Dez''s hands. Brain matter runs from his ears. Dez drops him "Shit.. Genome.." He switches jackets and vanishes into the shadows. Dez''s mind races, if that guy had a video tracker he is fucked. Running steps into the alley, two beats. Dez sighs in relief, he heads for the old bar, the Iron goat on the other side of town. Martin greets him with a water, a rare commodity, but one Dez get plenty of. He slows down a bit, he sips. One of the maidens here sees him bleeding and panics, Dez had forgotten. Martin waves him in the back to the merc table, he is soon having his coat and shirt pulled off. The wound was mostly healed by now, the Doc who all know only as Holiday cleans him up and gives him some fresh clothes. Martin takes the papers from his work and vanishes into the pit room. He had never met the guy in there, he never wanted to. He usually gets his pay and leaves. Martin is gone for too long, Dez starts listening. A door from the put creaks and out steps a very wide muscular man of almost seven feet tall, a nice suit and a Fedora. Martin right behind him, Dez don''t like this and stands. His grip on the chair firm, the big man''s eyes glance at his hand. A smile like a wave breaking over rocks, the man puts his hand up "Easy friend, you make a lot of people uneasy. And a lot of friends." a offered hand shake after four steps crossing the room "Luther, I''m your mysterious boss Dez." Dez relaxes and shakes Luther''s hand "And what do I owe the occasion?" Luther nods to Martin who heads off to his duties. Luther kicks out a chair with his boot and sits, waving a scared plate sized hand to the chair Dez is gripping "It seems we have something in common, an enemy so to say. As well as an ally." Dez sits and looks at Luther "What are you playing at?" Luther chuckles moving his collar, showing a genome bar code "I was there, I wondered why I recognized you. Then Kane pieced it together." Dez feels his heart skip "Commando cross unit?" Luther nods, Dez sighs "Good to know someone else is living as normal as possible from that joint. Kane? Isn''t he the.." Dez pauses, but Luther finishes "The leader of the Fire storms, yes." Luther leans in "That sickly man was a asset of theirs, their assignee was k.i.a, you did a honorable service friend, plus your services have been un wavering." Luther leans back lighting a cigar, watching Dez as this soaks in.Dez sighs "Glad to be of service, Luther." Luther nods at the Un questioning humble attitude, he reaches into a suit pocket and disperses two envilopes in front of Dez "I don''t like Genome in my teratory, there''s a little bonus, plus some from the Firestorm. As well as your pay and notes on the next mark." Dez slides the envilopes in his duster and nods. He decides to voice his worry "Luther, did they have onboar monitors? The one I was questioning went brain stew." Luther draws a long puff and exhales smiling "I scrambled out going, the operator must have panicked. Four dead in less than a minute? You are good." Dez sighs relieved, Luther smiles "A few other operatives stewed out too, minding their own. Scared them good hoss." Dez nods, he chews, then finishes his water "Just a bit tight, I feel like I''m being hunted. The Zetti, oddly broken fence at my house.. It just adds one way." Luther nods and slides a direct contact card over "Look, if you get into trouble shoot me a line kapeish?" Dez nods, then gets up stowing the card. He offers a hand "I''ve got some R an R then ill get this nest mark." Luther stands and shakes Dez''s hand "Alright, an good meeting you." Dez puts a hat on and steps to a phone booth, the only secure line he knows. He dials up an old friend who has a few cars from before the war, and civilization all hit the fan. Jo answers, Dez asks if he can get a truck to Greenwitch. Jo tells him he''ll have one down in a few minutes. Dez sits and waits, the delivery boy brings him the keys. Dez gives the teenager a hundred dollar tip an five for the rental. Coming out, the truck is a treat. Jo liked old stuff from the world before. Sitting there in dusk orange was a sixties truck, converted to bio diesel. Bio was the last real fuel left, easy to make. Dez hops in and drives back home to Orsa.Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more. Its dark when the man gets the call, he heads out. Some friends of his where terminated, and he was ordered to investigate. He had been keeping tabs on the mercs, beats, and clean ups here for awhile. Had even eliminated some disobedient, and lab escapees. His name, well he didn''t have one, but ran under Phantom. He paces down towards where the fight had been. Black trench coat, bowler, pants, and boots blended him to the shadows. The only mark was the dim cherry of his cigar. His night vision scanned the area, a spent slug. Disappointing, then he spots a bloodied knife "Ahh.. I have you now stranger." Phantom scoops up the knife, taking it to his hide out. He would know who he owed for tonight by sun up. Dez arrives home by dark, pulling the truck into his garage next to the bike he had and the car he was saving up for a motor in. Closing the door he walks in. Lights sit dim, jazz music playing. He spots Iggy reading a book, he smiles "Hey dove." Iggy glows with her happiness of seeing him, setting her book down she wisps over to hug him "Dinner is just finishing, then we can file your pay." Dez chuckles, pulling her into a deep passionate kiss, giving into his worry and feelings for her. Iggy reciprocate excitedly, nails dragging his back. Once they break free, Dez feels the familiar heat in his loins. Iggy giggles, poking his nose" Your blushing. " She skips off to set the food, that sheer dress and her playful curves making the heat worse. Dez comes to the table and sits, hanging his jacket over the back of the chair. Iggy soon waltzes in holding a flat pan in one hand and a couple plates in the other. She sets them, humming the swan dance. Then she dances off to return with juice from the garden, crystal cups, and silverware wrapped in napkins. She sets them, liking to make them feel rich on humble levels. Dez plates the calzones smiling "Looks amazing dove." Iggy shies a bit, humble of her own skills "Just a simple meal. Sausage, cheese, mushroom calzones. And some garden juice." she sits across the two person antique oak table from him. Dez leans pulling her to him in a strong hug "I l.. Love you Iggy. You have been such a blessing. Your my rock and light." Iggy is startled, having never seen or hear such emotion from him. She nestles her face into his neck "I love you too, you are my friend and sanity Dez." She sobs happily, Dez let''s her go, smiling "Shall we eat?" Iggy nods "I''ll give thanks to our father tonight." The couple clasp hands, Iggy prays and gives her thanks. They eat, not really talking, but basking in each other''s presence. After the meal Dez sets out the envilopes. Taking the new papers, Iggy asks nothing knowing what they are. Then they count the thousand for the last mark. Then a pause at the second envilopes, a card. Shimmering flames and scrawled in hand writing on the back ''Thank you friend. Hope you consider our prior offer for your goals.'' ~Kane Firestorm. Iggy smiles "He still remembers your ambition, what happened?" Dez muses and smiles "An elder man of theirs was attacked and his escort killed.. It was Genome." Iggy pales a little "That close?" Dez nods "I''ll have to deal with that soon, I''m worried about your safety." Iggy rests a hand on his "I''ll be fine love. They have no clue who you are, or me.. Not even your own know." Dez nods "I know, but what happened with Lillith." Iggy hushes him "That was her choice, don''t OK?" Dez nods pulling the money out. He is surprised, and so is Iggy as they count out ten thousand. A note stating five bounties at a thousand each for the Genome, then a third for the escort. Iggy pats his shoulder "That''s enough to get your motor and the fuel processor." Dez goes to argue, but Iggy hushes him with a kiss. They head to the bedroom. Putting the money in the wall vault, Dez slipping a thousand into her savings. She wants some add ons to the house. Once in bed, Iggy lulls him to sleep with a back rub. A day out Phantom gets his results and has a known location on his mark. He heads to Orsa. He felt this could actually be fun, the man in question was another escapee from a failed experiment. The last one was a challange, but young. He had heard of Dez, who had caused quite a few issues for Genome. He arrives just before sun up, his body huffing for air. His model was infantry, but trained for assassination later. He could rn for hours, barely needed to eat, and barely slept. Once recovered phantom finds a roof to watch over the town from. He sets a few cameras and goes to the little pub near a church. Now he waits, sipping an ale. Morning comes, Iggy is up with a bath and breakfast as the sun rises. Dez stumbles in wearing his favorite robe, quite a bit earlier than usual, but it''s church day. He is excited, as well as for their dinner trip to Greenwich. He kisses Iggy, she playfully pushes against him, then bites his lip saying "Good morning love." Dez feels the twinges of excitement in his loins Dez grabs her hips and mms lightly "That''s inviting my dove, I promise after church." Iggy responds with a pout and a giggle. She guides him to the table, Dez smiles at the pancakes and eggs piled on two plates. He pulls her chair out, Iggy sits. Dez kisses her cheek and sits. They say grace and eat, Iggy giggling. Dez pretty sure she is having fun with her thoughts. He swallows a bite "Ready for Greenwich tonight?" Iggy nods "Yes, we should get a motel." Dez nods "That is in the budget, means we can be out later." Iggy nods licking her lips, Dez knows that look. After breakfast they bathe, Iggy teasing him the whole time. Dez barely restrains his lust, soon they are dressed and headed to church. It''s not a long walk, it''s rather Plesant because most who live in town walk, Dez watches Iggy socialize with a few of the other house wives. Benny, a farmer roughly pats Dez''s back making him jump. Benny laughs "Your a jumpy one for a business man Dez." Dez turns, yes that was his cover. To these people he was just a successful salesman, Des offers a hand shake, which is received "Well Benny as I said more than once I''ve been shot at." Benny laughs "Never been shot at, but how was your last jaunt?" Dez smiles "Sucessful, got a few more sales than usual. Saw some new country." Benny nods, the church bells start singing. A smile and they head in with the stream of other people. Phantom sits up hearing church bells, his mark might have passed. He is casing, even if he just wants to get this done. He pays his tab and heads out. He finds a spot to pull his tablet and check the video feed. He sees Dez and Iggy. Phantom licks his lips "And he comes with a sweet.." phantom becomes a wolf, wanting to just stalk for now. The reward was just a bit nicer now, not counting the pay he would get for Dez. Church over Dez and Iggy head home, unaware of their stalker. It''s almost noon, so they change and pile in the old truck Dez rented. Heading for grrnwich. The ride is mostly slow, just old rotted out highways and coach trails. It was big cities, settlements and labs that had roads. Greenwich was owned by a huge environmental recovery lab. Scientists working to repair the past, a lot of electric solar equipment and cars. Iggy is slid up against him looking thoughtful, a hand idly in his lap. Dez on a smoother section glances at her "What''s on your mind dove?" Iggy looks up, a sad sigh and a kiss to his cheek "You, your work, worries." Dez has heard her thoughts before, but finds endulging her helps her deal with things. Dez smiles gently "Why about me dove?" Iggy nuzzles further into his side "What would happen if I lost you? I really think I couldn''t go on without you." This was a first to Dez, normally she had a what if plan. He wraps an arm around her "Now, now dove. We are all still young, sure there is something for you if anything happens to me." Trying to reassure her, Iggy nods "Still.. I don''t know. I know you have a fund for me, but without you I''d just be a shell. I can''t say how often when your working I just sit watching for you." Dez cringes inside at this admission and hugs her tight "I see my Dove, maybe I should get that fishing boat. And we run away to start anew." Iggy bites his arm in disapproval "No, you need to do what you are doing for the sake of good. The less of those ass holes the better for all the children in this world. Your an angel in a just cause." Dez nods, knowing not to argue, he had run several Genome subject gathering stings. Saving several hundred from their and several other companies. Dez knew there was a good price on his shoulders. He sighs" I still worry for you. I have bounties on me, and they are just as ruthless as I can be." Iggy nods" And if something happens I forgive you. My love for you is vast as the stars Dez. And I know if I die, the fires of hell will cleanse the shadows under your fury." Dez shivers, oddly a tear running down his face. Iggy was beautiful in her nature. Dez had only shed a tear one other time, it was when they had a close call and had to move just a few years ago. He hugs her tighter "I love you my Dove." Phantom tracks the truck with a drone, he acquired a horse and hangs off in the tree and junk cover. He watches them. Drooling over iggy, a new toy to break. He makes disgusted grunts over their interactions. By late evening they reach Greenwitch, Phantom creeps after dumping the horse. One of the nicer restaurants is where he waits for the couple.Stolen content alert: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences. Dez pulls into the back of the parking lot away from the electric cars and scooters. It''s a bit darker, and quiet here. He senses Iggy''s need, he slips a hand down to pet her thigh. Excitement races through him, heat rising in his loins. She wears a short knee leingth skirt, and a modest top. Iggy squirms in suprise, a soft moan passing her lips as she looks up at him trying to start something.Dez smiles at the moan, then undoing his pants pills her on top of him, elbow hitting the privacy tint button. A feature that attracted him to this truck. Iggy grinds her wet sex over him, wearing no panties. She had hoped to get him at some point. Goose bumps pulse through her at the excitement of his eaher touches as he pulls her top off. She leans in gripping his lips with a passionate kiss. Her hips sliding forward taking him in. Dez hugs her to him, and bites feeding. Iggy moans and bucks her hips on him roughly, the sensation of him feeding exciting her. It hurt a little but the connection was indescribable. Dez bucks into her, hands groping her breasts roughly. They moan into each other, the passion dragging out the a T. Dez pulls off getting hhis fill, to his suprise Iggy comes in for a kiss. Tongue chasing his, she gets a taste of her coppery sweet blood. She can feel herself starting to cross into orgasam and cries out into the kiss. Dez slides his hands down, gripping her ass ready to pull her as far onto him as he orgasam. Iggy bites his lip, a grunt and he fills her womb. Iggy arches into him twitching. They sit in caress for the next several minutes kissing and catching their breath. Iggy strokes his hair, eyes gleaming with happiness. Dez chuckles and nestles his head in her cleavage "That.. Was a random urge.." Iggy giggles and kisses his forehead "Mm.. But I liked it my love." Dez nods "Me too my dove, I''m starving. Shall we clean up and go find some grub?" Iggy nods, and slides off him with a small shudder yearning for more. She smiles and leans down cleaning Dez off. Dez groans at her lips and rubs her back enjoying it. Soon Iggy settles back and from her travel pack cleans her self up. Getting redressed she slips out of the truck, Dez follows locking up the old beast. Thi was Greenwich''s best restaurant, the owner an old foreigner who had traveled the world after the war. He collected cook books and techniques, then spent many years training his chefs, who trained others after his passing a few years before. The building was an old warehouse, packed with rail cars, busses, and tables. Creating private spaces and in general. Luxurious, but simple. Dez talks to a hostest that greets him, she nods and leads them to an old trolley car in the back. Dez and Iggy pick menus fitting the style of food they wanted. Sitting side by side she orders wine, he orders a soda. The waiter leaves, Dez looks over his Mexican themed foods menu "Enchaladas and rice sound good." Iggy laughs "I''m thinking a steak with hash browns." Dez nods, it was almost fifty dollars a plate. Yet he knew the involvement getting the supplies, he had done a few jobs here. The waiter returns with drinks, then leaves with their orders. Iggy hugs Dez gently "Our first actual date, it''s been fun so far." Dez chuckles "Mm.. Just wait till the motel." Iggy oohs playfully "Oh? Are you going to finally take your way with me?" Dez kisses her cheek "Maybe." Iggy laughs, happy to see Dez out of his shell. She snags his soda, it was a sweet drink that was a staple back before her time. She sips, giggling as it tickles her nose to the point of sneezing. Dez laughs, watching his silly partner. Iggy wrinkles her nose "Don''t know how people drank that, good but too sweet." Dez nods, watching her sip her wine. Greenwich was one of three places one could get soda, Dez sips it. Iggy makes a thoughtful face "In the morning we should order the motor kit and fuel processor for your vehicle." Dez cracks a wide smile "Actually, that''s a good idea where as we are spending the night." Iggy nods and oohs, a hand motion to a chef coming in with their order. Dez stands smiling "Roger?" The man sets the food down and hugs Dez briefly "The one and only." Both laugh, iggy looks between them questioning. Roger smiles wide, a plump short man. Really stereotypical look of when one imagines a chef "Dez, you got a lady?" He offers a hand "Names Roger, your man here saved my hide awhile back." Iggy brightens, shaking the hand "Mm.. Yes he is quite the business man. Iggy, a pleasure." Roger looks at Dez "First date?" Dez nods, Roger knows what happened to Lilith. It was during one of the jobs. Dez replies "It is." Roger pats Dez''s shoulder "Good to see you out. Enjoy, and Plesant seeing you two." Dez nods and sits, leaning to kiss Iggy "He is a good guy. Plenty of business with him." Iggy nods "Yeah, no bad vibes." Dez nods having learned to trust her judgment. They dig in, eating and making small talk. Roger comes back with cake, and ice cream. Leaving their ticket at the corner of the table with a note. Some jokes are passed with laughter over dessert. Dez loved iggy, she made him forget who an what he was, but replaced it with a indescribable realness. Dez picks up the ticket and note, a wide smile "You son of a bitch." he laughs, Iggy leans in looking too. It sparks a giggle from her and a blush. The note reads "Next time get a sound proof truck you baboon. Glad to see you happy, have one on me." Dez atleast leaves a good tip. Then he walks Iggy back to the truck, glancing at the second note. "Careful my friend. Something is amiss, a horse owner killed and a truck stolen in the past few hours. I suggest the hilltop Inn a few blocks away, been getting crazy again. Me and my people may need to call you in." Roger Dez slips it on his pocket. Once in the truck they head for the inn.
