《Where My Demons Lie (Fairy Tail SI)》
How the hell did I get here?
The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.''
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
I could feel, from that scream broke out of the wall. My hands started to shake, the rope to burning my skin.

I welcome you to my domain. Such unfortunate circumstances have caused you to appear here. However, with my power, I can offer you a way. Although will you be willing?"
I would advise you to hear me out. This would be beneficial to the both of us."The voice states, it''s tone implies that whatever it is is calm but I can hear the anger behind it. I don''t think it liked me not choosing an answer.
You have two options." It started, ignoring what I said before. "You either accept my offer or you can stay within your broken mind, indulging in your insanity for the rest of eternity."
Do not be absurd." The voice stated. "Your humanity will not give you what you desire. Humanity cannot find joy in their lives without sacrifice. You are merely animals that have above average intelligence."
Yet again, I am somewhat similar in that regard" The voice said absent-mindedly.
No matter about that¡" The voice had dismissed my question "I have given you these options, answer whilst you still have a choice."
Well done. I shall reward your insignificant sense of wisdom."

I,¡., give my body and soul to the sin of Pride. In doing so, Pride must complete the task that has been given to him by the user of the contract above. It is non-negotiable and must be done.''
What about that Alica girl, hmmmm?" Mom asked as she bit into her burger. "See seems nice plus you see close."
I snorted, "Yeah but when I found out she was already dating someone I had to cut it off. Can''t date someone when they''re already dating someone."
Mom smiled "Good, no need to be a homewrecker, do you?"
Nah, I just can''t be asked to deal with that evental confrontation with her boyfriend. Plus a girl like that can''t be trusted." I scoffed"The only good thing about it would be me and the boyfriend bonding over a bad girlfriend where we live happily ever after as the broest of bros."
Mom gave me an over exaggerated sigh "And here I was, wishing you would get a girlfriend already. You''re smart, somewhat good looking and you keep yourself in shape, especially after what you used to look like."
I groaned "Alright, I used to look fat. Can we now get over that? You bring it up all the time."
She smiled again, "Only because I''m proud of your dedication."
I''m smart because you forced me to read like my life depended on it and I keep myself in shape because I hated how I looked. Plus, I''m not somewhat good looking¡" I flip non-existent hair¡"I''m fabulous."
She snorted, "It''s a blessing and a curse¡" She flipped her hair. "¡To look this fabulous."
Yes because I get it from my agonizingly beautiful mother who likes to rub in every one''s face whenever she can." I took a sip from my milkshake. "Even if she isn''t." I muttered.
She still heard it though if the over-exaggerated grimace and hand over heart was anything to go by.
My own son¡" She cried out, ignoring the stares she was getting "¡To think he was raised this way. Where has it all gone wrong?."
I clapped as she kept up her over done act. "9/10 would watch again. Needs more tears if you want a 10."
Gah. Not a 10. I hate you."
Yeah, yeah. Love you too."

Pride
Cares about his appearances and of those around him - Evident of the body he (allegedly) gave me and his own. Lets not also forget all the gold as well.
He likes to feel superior- That''s a given considering he''s called Pride. He likes to use the term ''dog'' a lot. As well as any other variants.
He is smart, scarily so - If I ever have anything over him, I will only use it once before discarding it.
He likes to mess around - he talks about being amused a lot. That''s what set me off.
He, at least somewhat, honest- I don''t think he''s lied to me. He doesn''t see me as a threat to lie to.
He''s somewhat fair, well to his own rules- he rewarded me for agreeing with him.
That last one is the trickiest one to deal with. If I go along with it, I''ll practically be a willing slave an actually...dog, wagging my tail for the next treat.
I got to remember not to go with it, only use his generosity to gain boons for myself without any drawbacks.
Introduction
This is the first book of the set of ''Enchantments'' series. This will teach you the fundamentals of Enchanting and be a gateway to specialization, with the help of the next book.
After learning how to manipulate your magic¡
...You will now be able to start the basics of Enchanting.
Unlike most Magics, Enchantments does not need an affinity to work at its utmost ability.
Instead, you will need a healthy understanding of a language to work with when enchanting. Where most magics can be powered by emotions, Enhancements is one of the few magic that doesn''t work on that spectrum.
This magic is based on how much time and effort you put into the Enchantment.
This magic has the big drawback of not being able to create large enchantments in combat until some mastery has been gained. These need to be created without being affected by residue magic, lest they are activated without being finished.
Analysis
This chapter will give you headfirst into Enhancements. We will be talking about the analysis of the objects you want to enchant.
You see, one of the most problems an Enchanter will face is the conflict of enchantments.
For example, Trying to make water solid. Water is a liquid so what most early Enchanters would do is try to add the solid enchantment onto it. Having an item be a solid and a liquid will not work and will break the enchantment.
Noticing this would then get the Enchanter to change the liquid aspect into a solid. This, in turn, leads me to my next problem with enhancers. They are not creative enough to use enchantments to their full potential.
Yes, you can change the water into a solid however this will need a consent enchantment to keep up as water is not meant to have a solid, Ice is. Another, and personally what I deem is a better way, is that you can also freeze the water and take away the slippery aspect of ice.
This will not only need less magic and take less time to come into effect but it will also take less effort to make as you are just invoking a natural occurrence.
That leads me to my final part before I get to the part you have been waiting for.
It is much easier to create enchantments that work with the laws of nature than against. That doesn''t mean you can''t do it but it''ll be much harder to do so.
It''ll be better for you to wait till you specialize in at least one aspect before you try to make some reality bedding enchantments.
Now time for the first spell.
This spell is not an enchantment however it is too useful for any enchanter to not know. I have recently come across this skill after seeing it so I doubt it is worldwide, this would be better to keep to a close group of your trusted allies.
It is called ''Structural Analysis''.
It is a spell used to take the information of an object and record it within one''s brain.
It will be one of the most useful abilities an enchanter could have.
Warning: Too much information in one go can cause the user brain damage.
Where my Demons Lie
Where my demons lie
Magic. MAGIC.
...thing was done and I was free from it.
Where My Demons Lie
I watched as the casket was lowered with a whimpering breath, lowering the hat on my head to cover my eyes.
Mom was next to me, letting ber tears out without holding back. As much as it hurt for me, it had hurt my mother more.
I laid my arm around her shoulder and pulled her into my chest. She did object and grabbed my shirt and sobbed.
She sobbed and sobbed until there was nothing to left.
"You were just like him, you know. He always had a smile on his face. Even when times were tough, he kept his smile." She said between sniffs, wiping her eyes from the tears.
"I know, I was there." I retorted.
She giggled a little, lifting my heart a little. I hated seeing her like this.
"You''re definitely his son. If you can make a joke about his funeral than I fear who you marry. I don''t think they will able to handle you."
"Your right about that but that won''t be the reason."
It took her a second to realize, she hit me in the arm but there was no force behind it "Pervert. Disgusting Pervert."
I laughed, Mom, joining in soon after.
I don''t think she was laughing at the joke.
Where my Demons Lie
For fucks- Calm down.
Where My Demons Lie
Who Needs Sanity?
The repetitive sound of metal hitting rock hurt my ears after a while. It was weird as nobody else seemed to be having a problem with it at all. Every few minutes, I would check to see if anyone was around to nurse my hurting ears. Nobody liked that I did that, they think I was slacking off.
Trying to use my breath technique to use my magic to soothe the pain didn''t work out, in fact it made it worse with the way it had enhanced my hearing.
Today we had pickaxes with us. In some parts of the level, the rooms were rushed when created so there were rocks and other types of minirals that were sticking out of the room. Our job was to smooth out the rooms and get rid of the rocks.
The rest of the kids had left us, leaving our group of misfits together. We had a larger part to deal with because of that. Coupled with the fact that little red, who still hasn''t told anyone her name, Simon, who had already passed out, and Rob, who couldn''t work as hard as us, the job had gotten harder for Jellal and I.
"You know¡" Jellal started as he swing down his pick. "...He''s coming to get you again."
A sent a raised eyebrow his way inbetween swings "Oh, really? And tell me why would someone be out to get me?"
"A fight. You almost beat Jason and he rarely ever loses fights."
Jason was his name? Granted I probably don''t give a shit about him or his name.
Maybe-
No, still don''t.
"Right, So I''ll just win. Last time, I was tired and my arms were in pain. I''ll just make sure to pace myself today."
He put his finger on his chin "But if you do that, how are going to finish our portion? Everyone else has passed out."
"Hmmmm, " I paused in my swinging. "I''m not usre and I might lose this time but make sure he doesn''t hurt me too much." I eventually growled out.
A sent another swing to large rock letting my anger out. I hated the fact I didn''t have a chance here. I would either not finish here and risk punishment or I would lose there and risk punisment.
It''s a lose/lose situation for me.
"That''s not fair." Jellal muttered to himself, lowering his pick. He sent a heated glare to thr sleeping bodies of our cellmates. "They''re supposed to help us but they are sleeping. If we had their help, then you could win."
"Do you not like Jason or something?" He tensed at my blunt statement. I said it more as a joke but was plesantly surprised when it was true.
"He''s an asshole." Let''s not tell Rob about that language. "He used to practice his fighting in our cell and I...I was his only partner."
Now it makes sense "That''s why you left your cell?" He nodded "Why did you come to ours?"
"I thought you could beat him and I want to help."
He seems nice but he driven by the fact that he wants to beat this Jason boy. Though I still like him, he''s a kid so I don''t expect anything else from him.
I sent a weak punch to his shoulder "Don''t worry about it. We''ll do it one day but for now lets deal wih this first."
He sent a weak smile and nodded "Right."
Where My Demons Lie
"I am a dwarf and I''m digging a hole. Diggy-Diggy-Hole. Diggy-Diggy-Hole." Both Jellal and I sung.
I stopped as heard the sound of multiple footsteps behind me. I getured for Jellal to stop and turned around.
Somehow I knew this was going to happen.
Jason was standing there with ahnds crossed. There were to lackies behind him, once nursing his arm and the other with a black eye.
"You''re going to insult me now, aren''t you?" I said to him.
I''ve seen this play out in so many different miideas it isn''t even funny.
"You think you''re so cool, don''t you?" He didn''t even seem to register what I did but his two flunkies did.
"Woah, Jason. He''s reading your mind." Goon 1 said.
"Yeah, it''s like he''s some mind reading¡person." Goon 2 finished, I guessing he was the slow one of the group.
They''re so irelavent, the author isn''t even describing them.
Also, mind reading person? Original much.
Actually, I take that back. I don''t think anyone used that before.
"STOP, IGNORING ME." He screamed with is high pitched voice making me wince slightly. He smirked at my expression.
"Hmm, You say something?" He promptly lost that smirk.
Jellal had moved himself behind me in an effot to protect imself from this guy.
"Jellal, where did you go? I was worried about you. I thought that Asshole had taken you away from us." He smiled, it was clear that it was fake. "Come, lets go back."
"N-No, Nobody took me." He hesitated before coming to stand beside me. He''s much braver than he looked right now. "I joined Akira''s cell."
He glard at me, at this age it looked more cute than anything. "So that''s your name?"
"Yep, I mean he just said, did he not?" He snarled again.
He suddenly gott this weird smile on his face "I got an idea, Since Jellal wants to join your cell. How about we fight, whoever wins gets Jellal?"
I smirked to myslef. I wasn''t as tired as last time so I had a better chance of beating him.
"Akira''s going to win so there''s no way I''ll go with you."
Jason sent a glare right to Jellal that made him freeze right up. He stomped over with furious expresion on hif face and reared his arm to punch.
Next thing he knew was the taste of the cold uncomftable floor and the flaring of pain on the side of his body as I kicked him away from Jellal.
"No wonder you act like you''re tough shit." I said as he got up, holding his side. "You attack people that don''t fight back."
If he was angry before, he was furious now. "And what about you? You almost beat me and think that you''re cooler than me?"
"News flash, people who think they are cool are, in fact, not cool."
He snarled and lept up. I didn''t have time to react and dropped my pick in surpirse. He lead with a punch that had aimed my cheek but leaned back far enough so that he just grazed it.
I grinned, it seemed like my dilemma was already solved for me.
However, that doesn''t mean I''m going to play nice.
I step up to him, grabbing a rock as I get into his guard. Flicking the rock to his face makes him cover his eyes with his arms, leaving everthing else open.
I sent a punch to his stomach, I seem to be always hitting there, making him hunch over, and grab him by the hair before smashing his face on my knee.
"You-You''re cheating." He stuttered a he touched his now broken nose.If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
I dodn''t say anything and came up to him again. This time he was ready since as I tried to punch him, he had grabbed my arm and pushed it away making me over extend where he had full advantage.
He snaked an arm around my neck and held it there tight. "Looks like I win again."
He would have continued had it not been for the fact that I had headbutted him, hitting his nose again.
He fell backwards onto his back. I was already there, sending a kick to his chest before jumping back as he tried to grab my leg. He was just able to scrape it with his long nails, making a long gash down the side of my calf.
I waited on one knee as I checked out the gash. It looked fine as it was pretty shallow, it should heal soon enough. I just hope that it does before it gets infected.
Jason was up again, rushing towards me in blind rage. I got up with my hands behind my back.
When he got close enough, I threw out dust that I had collected of the ground. He cirde out in pain as he got hit and went to clean his eyes out.
I took advantage and tackled him to the floor. Again we were in this position where I was above him, I held up my arms in barely hidden satisfaction and rained down punch after punch.
...again.
...again.
...again.
...again.
...again.
...again.
...ag-
My right arm didn''t impact the now bloodied and bruised Jason. I looked back to Jellal looking back at me with wide eyes. He took a step back as we stayed in eye contact but never let go of my arm.
"J-Just...stop, okay?" He said to me after a minute of silence.
I shrugged "If you say so. Man I feel so good for some reason." I stared at the large pile of rock we still had to mine through. "Don''t worry about this Jellal, I got it."
I grabbed my pick from the floor and ran towards the rock, each swing much more powerful than the last. For some reason, I didn''t care about the ringing this time.
Where my Demons Lie
"A-Akira?" I watched in horror as he didn''t stop hitting Jason''s body. He long ago stopped moving and reacting.
I think he''s dead.
But Akira doesn''t care.
"Again. Again. Again. Again." He was lost in his own world. I wanted to stop him, I really did, but If I had to choose either Jason or Akira.
I honestly don''t know.
But it doesn''t look like I''m gettig a choice.
Where My Demons Lie
"Jellal, get up already. One of those men told me I was goin to have another fight and I need to practice." Jason said to me but I could barely hear it.
I focused everything on moving but I couldn''t. Yet again, my body is refusing to move. I hated this. To be so weak that I couldn''t defend myself.
"Oi, shitstain. Get up."
I move slightly but I dodn''t feel any more pain. It all just felt numb again.
I don''t want this any more.
Help me. Please.
I wanna go home.
Where My Demons Lie
I grabbed Akira''s arm and stopped his ext punch.
As much as I hate Jason, I''d rather not have this happen to him.
"J-Just...stop, okay?" I asked him.
Akira stopped his rampage and turned to me with a snarl. I dropped his arm in shock as I stared at his eyes.
Beautiful golden circles spining dagerously within an furious expression.
For a second, I rhought he was going to hit me like he did to...Jason but his eye''s changed and he stood up with a smile.
A smile that looked insane and deranged.
Where My Demons Lie
"Red~" I called out to the little girl. "Little Red~"
I looked back at the leaving slaves as I shook the girl awake. Rob had pawned her off to me as she had only calmed down because fo my help before. He was so caught up in the act of healing me, he wasn''t able to help little red.
That old bastard had to make me deal with her whilst he woke up Simon.
I can''t be asked for this. I''m in a good mood and I don''t want to ruin it.
I grabbed her body and carried her over my shoulders. She was quite light but I was still aching from the work beforehand.
I caught up to the other guys whilst carring litlle Red. I could tell by her her dirty hands and knees that she tried to work as hard as she could so I let her off for today.
I''m not merciful enough to let her get off of doing this every time.
Rob raised a long eyebrow at me but said nothing as we arived to our cell.
We were about to enter when a hand had placed itself on me. I looked up to see Asshole there with a large smile, showing off his yellow teeth.
"Come, Come. We''ve got a job, you and I." He stated a she walked of.
Simon was already by my side to take Red. I gave him my thanks and left, catching up to Asshole.
Damn these legs.
Where My Demons Lie
"Here we are. Home sweet home." Ashole stated as we opened the large metal door.
Now that...that was a smell.
I held my nose as we entered the room. I had no choice but to deal with what ever it was comming from.
"You''re late" Yep, that smell was comming from Fatass.
"You should have seen the fight. Man, I don''t think we''ll be seeing a lot Jason anymore."
Hmmm?
What happened to Jason?
I didn''t hurt him too badly, did I?
He''ll probably just be recoverin for a while till he can continue doing whatever shit these people ask use to do.
Right time to go in that¡ capsule again.
Deep breaths.
I barely remember it so it shouldn''t be that bad, right?
Right?
Under the bright blue crystals, there was a large wooden chair. Many straps were fastend to the chair. It looked very uncomfortable and I''m guessing that''s what they are going for.
This is that place where my magic get taken from me, isn''t it?
I''ve come back here so that would mean that they will not or can not take my magic away from me.
Actually, since they are taking it from me...yes, that could work.
I had to make an effort to hide the smile that was creeping up. Asshole must of thought something was wrong since he looked at me strangely but still strapped me into the chair.
One last look, he flipped a switch and everthing¡
Where My Demons Lie
So tired.
Focus.
I need to focus.
You/I need to remember that feeling.
Keep awake.
Don''t let them get to you/me.
You need to remember
Stay awake
So...tired
Where My Demons Lie
I snapped awake as I entered Pride''s libriary. It was I had suddenly drank 13 cups of coffee and it had hit me all at once.
For a moment, I felt it. I felt the magic leaving my body. It felt...I don''t know how to describe it.
Like the adreneline rush of free falling but with out the fear of falling.
However, whatever they did made me feel tired as hell. I could barely remeber what I said to my self but I was able to do it.
Inhale.
Exhale.
I could feel the magic rushing up my veins in much fast and agressuve way than before.
Not only was there more there but it was like...it was excited.
I guees that would make some sense. I am my magic and my magic is me so it could be affected by my emotions.
Rember that feeling.
Now focus and replicate it. Remeber how your body felt.
That''s it.
Almost there, I can-
A soft blue transparent glow started to erupt from my hands. It had been slow at first bt gradually getting stronger as it progressed.
I did not let out a giggle at this.
I did not.
Jumping up, I didn''t spend my time talking to Pride today as I went straight into my santuary. Now that I could use my magic, I had a plan in using magic but I needed my enhantement books first.
To be able use my magic, I would have needed to be able to push my mana out of my body. To learn how to do that, I would use the same method I did to notice my magic.
So my thought process was that If I could figure out my body would react to magic leaving it, I may be able to replicate it on my own.
Now you see why I was so glad to go with Asshole today.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why we''re doing our first Enchantment today.
No you may be asking ''Oh, great and wis Akira, How do you plan on using magic without any propper training?''
And to thag I say ''Bah, I''ll firgure it out.''
It''s fucking magic. Why would I wait anymore?
To create my first enchantment, I would need to create something to chanel my magic into, somehing that would work as a catalyst so that I wouldn''t use as much mana when creating the enchantment.
What is recomwnded here is to use my blood to write out the enchantemts.
What kind fucker thinks that I''m cutting myself?
Nope, I''m not doing that.
However, I will prick my finger for some drops of blood. The pens are sharp enough. I placed a few drops of blood onto a piece of paper.
I''m not going to use so much of my blood to write with but that doesn''t mean that I can''t mix it with the ink.
The first part that this book talks about is of coping attributes. This is the easiest tasks in this book as there isn''t much you will be changing, wehn compared to other things.
However, before I do this. I would need to know what I''m going to chane first.
I think I''ll copy the rigidness (Is that a word?) of the pen and add it to another peice of paper.
First things first, I would need something called a matrix. These are wierd and exotic circles that make proceess happen. Without them, it would take more magic for me to use my ablities as these are another catalyst.
This is why many enhanters are support wizards.
In order to do rhis, I would need to write down what proccess this is going to do.
For this enhantment, I would first draw a matrix. This would be the main part of the enchantment itself.
I had to trace over the circle but I think I did it well.
Sencondly, I would write the word ''Rigid'' into the matrix. That would be good enough as the matrix would work under what perpectice, as in whay I mean by ''rigid''.
Next, I would next place the pen on the left side of my circle and the paper on the right.
The matrix works from left to right. In this instance, I placed my pen in the left side so that the matrix would copy from the pen onto the paper.
The last thing would be to make a bigger matrix around the pen, paper and first matrix. This would keep the enchantment localised, meaning that nothing from outside this matrix would affect the enhantment.
I would then write in the word ''Copy'' in the bigger circle but above the other items.
The cricles look...decent, the ink had...enough blood in it and I think the circles understand what I''m trying to do.
A small part of me is shouting- no, screaming out to me to not do this.
But as i said, it''s a small part of me.
I place my hands onto the bigger matrix.
Inhale.
Exhale.
I watched with glee as the circle lit up in a soft blue glow. It was...amazing to see it work beofre me.
Though I feel strangely tried again.
Both the paper and the pen had started to glow themselves.
It''s working. It''s working. Muahahaaha-
Where My Demons Lie
Sometimes you can be too eager
"So this is your little...project?" Envy asked as she circles around Akira''s body
Pride stood to the side away from her. His fingers clenching slightly, however, other than that, no other emotion being shown.
"And? What of it? You have no right in anything that concerns him." Pride stated.
This made Envy giggle, a sound that had previously made men drop on their knees and beg to hear it again.
"There you are¡" She drawled out, patronisingly. "...You sound more and like Greed every time we meet. Maybe we should have another meeting to decide on who is who, hm?"
Pride''s golden eyes started to spin dangerously. "If you think that-"
"Yeah, Yeah. I get it." Envy waved him off.
She turned her attention back onto Akira, turning away from the fuming Pride. A small smile slowly appeared on her face.
"Remember your place, This is my library. I will not let you do as you please."
"Of course this comes back to you, I mean it''s in your title to be so conceited." She said as she sighed.
"And am I supposed to care? I am Pride and I-"
"-Take Pride in that. That line is not funny, original or amazing in any way. Stop using it."
In a flash, Pride appeared before Envy. His anger had reached a breaking point shown through the golden flames of his eyes.
Envy didn''t even react as she caught the fist that had been examined her face.
Pride stared at her as the golden flames slowly started to burn bigger and brighter, slowly encompassing the space around his eyes. He looked down at his fist right before his flames exploded to encompass his whole head.
She hadn''t caught him with her hand but rather the tip of nail filer.
She saw the golden flames of Pride exploding and sighed again "Right, I can''t be fussed to go through this again."
A circle appeared within Envy''s hand. The air slowly started to wave around the two of them. The immaculate clothing that Pride wore started to smoke. What started as a sizzle slowly became a smoke as his clothing melted off of him. As they dropped to the floor, the clothing started to melt through the now mud-like floor.
The bookcases weren''t any better as they started to lose the shape that they had been handcrafted into. They folded upon themselves as books themselves fused together in their ooze like texture that they had become.
All this power¡
Pride stared at the flame that Envy was letting out, his whole body now being covered in smoke as the water, around and within him, evaporated in an extreme rate.
...came from a single lick of fire that erupted from her index finger.
"Do attack me when you get to my level." She stated as a glowing circle appeared from beneath her. "It makes beating you that much easier¡"
With a large column of fire erupting and engulfing her body, the only thing remaining were two glowing eyes and large red smile.
"...Dog."
Where My Demons Lie
Oh, god I feel so tired. I want to get up but this bed feels too good.
I haven''t slept in a bed for ages. The bed-
Wait, bed? Matress?
Jumping out of bed, I stared at the luxurious sheets that I had just come from.
"What?" I muttered aloud. I haven''t been given a bed in ages so why was I in one now.
"The sight of your body in your sanctuary almost made this worth it¡"I stiffened at the familiar voice. I turned around to see Pride''s smug filled smirk. But just as I saw it, he lost it and opted to become serious "...as I said, Almost."
"What do you mean by that?" I asked, a feeling of dread building up inside me.
"What do you mean by'' Mt god, you''re an idiot." he hissed venomously.
"Hey-"
"Shut the fuck up."
Right.
Just gonna do that now.
"Not only do you almost destroy the body I made for you, but you also create a disgusting enchantment and try to pull it off."
"What the hell are you talking about? Explain."
"Do not order me, mutt." He visibly calmed. He didn''t shout but when he was angry, you would know. "You believe yourself to be smart but you are a barely functioning child that relies on me to help him. You failed on what must be the most simplest parts of enchantments that any novice would know not to do."
I sated at the bookcase beside us, not wanting to look him in the eye. "I can admit it was my fault. I was too distracted by the thought of magic, however¡" I turned to stare into his golden eyes. "I am not a child nor do I rely on you. Get through that thick skull of yours"
He smirked and turned away. As I blinked, I found myself standing back his library with him standing before me.
He was wearing different attire than usual. A plain white coloured t-shirt with his signature red tie. grey slacks that ended in black loafers. Silver glasses that sat upon his sharp nose. There was no hat which left his hair to flow freely. If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it.
There was a big blackboard behind him. One that a diagram of a human body. The text was written all of the board that I couldn''t understand. It didn''t help that they weren''t in English. It had highlighted a part that was around the stomach.
"Is that the magic container that Rob was talking about?" I asked pride who nodded.
"Yes, It''s quite evident that you can''t even do the basics of the basics right." He brought out a cane from his sleeve. That looked way too big to fit "So I''m here to teach you."
"Teach me?" I realised him. "Why?"
"Why? Simply because you need help with your magic." He asked with a smile.
Man, if that isn''t the fakest shit I''ve ever seen.
"Pride. For a short time, I''ve known you, you wouldn''t do something out of the kindness of your heart." I believed that to be completely true. He only gave me that magic because of what he believed to be me earning a reward.
"Why would you say that? I''m simply bored and want to help, can''t a demon do that without being questioned?" Pride asked, eyebrow raised in confusion.
"Right, and what do you get out of this? There has got to something that you get of this." I scoffed "You literally called Pride, are you abandoning your pride to teach me or something?"
The sound of his cane snapping shocked me as he stared with those golden eyes. I straightened up at the sound and tried to say something.
Anything.
I screamed and cried.
But nothing came out.
I couldn''t even breathe.
"What did you say?"
*Tap* *Tap* *Tap*
The slow rhythmic tapping of his shoes was the only thing I heard as he walked closer to me. Each step increasing the cold shiver that made itself prevalent again.
"I''m only going to ask this one more time¡"
The shadows started to expand as the room''s lights dimmed. Each one twisting and turning in a way that shouldn''t be possible. Each one of them slowly coiled around him, covering his body in a black tar-like substance.
This was the first time that I''ve seen Pride like this, I mean he had gotten close before but he held back. This time though¡
"What. Did. You. Say."
...was the first time I''ve seen him angry.
Hearing my silence, His shadows grew in size. The tar that had encompassed his body grew a mouth where it usually was, however, this one was much different.
It was sparkingly white.
That''s not the problem.
Pride''s teeth usually were the same.
No, it was different as this one wasn''t the only...creation, for a lack of a better word, on his body.
Multiple mouths were dotted around like some grotesque eldrich being. As many of said beings, it was hard to look at his body.
A soft ringing in my ears and the thick taste of my blood making itself know on my taste buds.

He did a 180 in his emotions as he became much more lively, livelier than usual.
Whatever happened to he did to me was¡was...was I saying something?
My hands went up to my nose.
There was blood.
Why was there blood?
Did I black out for a second?
All I remember was saying something to Pride.
"Are you just going to daydream all day or are we going to do some magic?" The annoyance was clearly heard in Pride''s voice as he broke me out of thoughts "Great now, let''s talk about how you go about using magic."
Where my Demons Lie
"How does someone fuck up this badly?" Pride asked me (Mostly as a rhetorical question) as he hit head on the nearby bookcase repeatedly.
"It''s not my fault. You gave me magic and I wanted to use it."
He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose "Right, let''s get to the first thing." He started. I somehow, I''m starting to learn not to question it, found myself sitting before him.
"And that is~?" I asked in a sing0song voice, stopping as he glared at me. "Sorry."
"You honestly did everything right¡" I sent a smug smile "...In theory." I promptly lost that smile "You did not process your magic properly." He told me.
"Huh, what is there to process?"
"What you are doing is providing raw ethernano into the Nexi, which is the plural of Nexus. That will not work as enchantments that use Ethernano do not have a limit on what they take in."
I put my hand up in there as he finished. He sent a glare at me but I kept my hand up.
After a second, he motioned me to talk.
"That makes complete and utter bullshit to me."
"My Lord, what have I gotten myself into?" He muttered to himself "Right, any Enchantments that are created using Ethernano are unable to regulate any magic before, during or after they are activated." Seeing my confused face, he continued "That means that if you don''t create a filter for your enchantment then it will pull every bit of Ethernano it can out of your body before it can process it into mana."
I put my hand up in the air again as he finished.
"Right so that''s a bad thing, right?" I asked, uncertainly.
"Holy fuck-" He rubbed his temples as he muttered under his breath "Of course it is, If your body doesn''t know how to process mana at a young age then it will be much more difficult to use magic when you are older."
"So I need to take into account my own magic?" He nodded "So what else?"
He took out the book that he gave me from the pile that was on the desk. He flipped through the pages until he had gotten to the page on Nexi.
"The book clearly states that the circles must be made perfectly. No deviations or you will have unforeseen consequences."
So what? My drawings weren''t that bad.
Right?
As if knowing what I said, Pride continued "If you think that this piece of trash will be good enough to be a Nexus, you''re surely mistaken."
"I think you are holding it wrong. I mean from this angle it looks like-."
He facepalmed, cutting me off "I don''t know whether to commend you for being this stupid or kill you for being this stupid."
"I''d prefer the latter." He fingers tensed, grabbing hisn?????e?w?????l????y??? ???????f???i??????x???????e?????d??cane harshly(???D?????i?????d??????? ???h???????is ????ca????n????????¨¨????? ??b?????r??e???a???k??? ???¨¤t ????o??n??e??????? ???p?????¨°???????i?n????t???????)?. "Actually the former, now that I think about it."
"You are correct in your assumption in that the circle looks wrong when held like this." He stated with a sigh "However, this is meant to be a circle so it shouldn''t matter how you turn it"
"Because it should look the same." It took me a second to catch up with what I said. "Son of a beeech."
"Exactly." Pride said with a smirk.
"I''m guessing I need to practice in creating circles don''t I?"
"Why do you have all that paper than?"
He snorted "Well done. Now with all the time, we have left. I want you to-"
Suddenly I found myself on the floor with no explanation. I large stinging sensation spearing on the left side of my abdomen.
"What the fuck was that?" I found myself unable to stand up. Every single movement I made was unrecognizable by my body.
I felt as if someone had cut the strings off of my body and I had just fallen into-
-Wait, a moment.
I can move, albeit slightly. It was like I was restrained. I could move but something was holding me down and pulling me back into place.
"It seems like you''re being forcefully woken up." He said as he stared down at my writhing body with a smirk. "And it doesn''t look like it seems quite comfortable."
I sent him my own glare but he just laughed it off.
With a wave and a smile, that was the last thing I saw of him.
Where My Demons LIE
(3rd Person POV - Akira''s Cell)
"They''re coming." Jellal cried out as he heard the sound of cells being opened accompanied by the small pitter-patter of footsteps.
"I cannot do anymore. I''ve tried but he may not wake up for a while." Rob said as he stood up from Akira''s body. He closed and healed the wounds on Akira but they weren''t completely gone. There would some scars on his body should they heal properly.
"B-But we can''t leave him like this. He helped us, We have to help him." Simon yelled at the older man, stomping over him.
"We can''t help him any more than we have," Rob stated, breaking Simon''s heart.
"F-Fine...See if I care." Simon cried out as he walked away, waiting for the cell to open.
"I''m sorry, Akira." Stated Rob as he turned away from his still body "They won''t kill you. You''re too valuable to them. You''ll understand, you''re smarter than you let on."
The small red-headed girl stood at her corner, her eye locked onto Akira''s still body. Not moving ever since he was thrown into the cell, splattering his blood across the wall and floor.
Even as the door to the cell opened up she stayed true.
Even as the large dirty man appeared at the door.
Even as the man shouted at Akira to wake up.
Even as the man started to hit-
"GET OFF OF HIM." She jumped up with all her might and tackled the man off of Akira''s body. With all the strength she could muster, she pummelled the man as much as she could.
At least that what she thought what happened.
What she didn''t know was that a 10-year-old girls punches aren''t as effective on a grown man.
Both Jellal and Rob had started to run to her to hold her back, however¡
*Smack*
The sound of hand connecting to cheek stopped them.
Before them, Red had fallen to the floor as she cradled her cheek. She tried to hold back her tears but with the destruction of her village, her imprisonment and the forced labour, she let it go.
She let it all go.
"Man...This is why I hate working with kids." The large and dirty haired man stated as he stood up. "Always thinking that they can do whatever they want but cry when I punish them." He took a long look at Red as she cried¡
...a large smile appearing on his face. "Though, for someone like you..." Rob became wide-eyed at the sound of the man''s unzipping."...I do have ways of shutting you up."
The man pointed his erect dick toward Red''s face.
Erza started to scoot back as the man got closer and closer. He deliberately walked slowly, his dick twitching at the sight of her running away scared.
She kept her eyes on it...no, it was like she couldn''t tear herself away from it. She felt if she turned away, she...she didn''t even want to think about it.
"For fuck''s sake, Can''t a guy get some sleep around here?" Akira asked as he wobbled on his weak legs.

Fuckingtime I''ve had the clues laid out to me as if I was a child. AFuckingchild. Even then I couldn''t see that I hadn''t just been kidnapped and de-aged.
Where My Demons Lie
Listen to me." Mom said as she walked out of the car. I caught up beside her as she strode off. "Something I learnt from your father when I just met him."
Dad? Why are we talking about him all of a sudden? She hated when someone brought him up.
Not that she hated him or anything but she always feels down when she remembers him after...everything.
There are only a few people you can rely on in this world, baring your parents." She started as we walked down the street. I opted to let her speak in case she stopped talking about him. "Until you can find those people, you are the only one who can be relied upon."
So he was kind of an asshole-OWW." I exclaimed as she hit my head.
No shit talking your father, that''s my job." She shot back ignoring those around us. "And while he might have been a bit rude, he excelled in what he did. He got good grades, got an amazing job and found the best wife."
The best wife?" I deadpanned. "A wife that hits her son in broad daylight."
That''s right." As if a switch was flicked, she gained a more sombre expression. "You remind me of him so much."
Of course, I''m too amazing to not be."
She snorted as a smirk etched on her face "If only you would get an amazing wife like me and you''d be the spitting-"
Blah, Blah, Blah. Can''t hear you. My fingers have suddenly found themselves in their ears and I can''t take them out." I cried out, speeding up away from her.
You defiantly get your dry humour from him too."

Where My Demons Lie
Rising Envy
There was a slight breeze in the air, nothing that felt before. All my troubles were blown away like yesterday''s news. It''s been a long time since I''ve felt like this. I could feel my body relaxing under the stress it''s been feeling fading away.
It''s weird to feel like this. I never really thought about how peaceful living without the constant thoughts of the tower could be. Or any thoughts for that matter.
Though this is very familiar, I only remember feeling like this once before.
But from where?
"Who the hell are you?" I asked the wish fulfilment fantasy that was this woman. Seriously, those curves aren¡¯t natural.
"Does it really matter?¡± This woman giggled. ¡°I came here to offer you something.¡±
Already, she¡¯s setting of red flags in my head. Reminds me of a certain person who tried to offer me something.
¡°Right, and what would that offer be?¡± I asked as she circled me. ¡°I don¡¯t really have much to give.¡±
¡°Clearly~¡± She drawled out, ¡°You don¡¯t have anything to give to me now but what about later, hmm?¡±
I rolled my eyes and scoffed ¡°So you¡¯re asking me to go into debt with you? If you¡¯re what I think you are, then that¡¯s not happening. It wouldn¡¯t even happen if-¡±
¡°What if I offered you a way out?¡± She interrupted me, a small smirk appeared on her face. I felt my throat dry up as I was lost of words.
She couldn¡¯t be serious.
"A-A way out?" I stuttered, my composure crumbling at the thought of going home.
¡°Yes, a way out.¡± She stopped behind me, placing her two hands on my shoulders and pulling my head into her large chest. ¡°Just imagine your home for a second. You can see it can¡¯t you.¡±
I can.
I can see it.
¡°The soft sheets as you sleep.¡±
I remember, they feel...much better than the stone floors of this place. ¡°The nice warm home-made meals that you and your mother make.¡±
Much better than the stale bread and water they give us here. ¡°The soft smiles of your mother as she laughed at your jokes.¡±
It¡¯s like music to my ears, better than the sounds of crying as I try to sleep.
¡°Now imagine¡¡± She starts slowly. I could feel her hot breath on my ear. ¡°...The pain you felt when you lost your mother.¡±
The image of my time in the cell appeared before me. Me meeting Simon and figuring out I was a child. The shock and fear on my face as I looked upon my hand.
I didn¡¯t feel pain. I felt shock.
I felt fear.
I felt anger.
I felt sadness.
I felt hysterical. I felt¡
I felt pain.
¡°All that pain you felt, imagine what it would be like for your mother.¡± My mom? What are-
Another image appeared before me, it wasn¡¯t one I¡¯ve seen before but it looked so familiar. No way does anywhere in this place have a computer or a bed like that.
So where have I seen it and why does it look familiar?
¡°Look there, that was your old Goku figurine. It was the one that you had won.¡± Her hand appeared and I couldn¡¯t help but follow her beautifully manicured fingertips.
This was my room.
My Fucking room.
How did I not notice this before? ¡°You are correct, this is your room.¡± How did she know I thought that?
I wanted to move or shout or scream or anything...Anything at all. But nothing came out.
No words or sounds came from my mouth and my eyes were still locked onto that figurine.
¡°You think you feel pain from losing your mother?¡± She snapped. Her anger appearing from nowhere. My eyes snapped to her fingers as they raised themselves into the air. ¡°Watch from her perspective.¡±Support the author by searching for the original publication of this novel.

-=Where My Demons Lie=-
¡°Hey, . What the hell are you doing up there?¡± I called out to .
He¡¯s usually up in the morning, not wanting to waste the day. I don¡¯t understand him sometimes. You can sleep in if you want, , nobody is going to fault you for it.
However¡
¡°Right, Young man. I¡¯m coming up and you had better be awake.¡± This was unacceptable.
*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
¡° , Open the door right now. Don¡¯t make me get the crowbar.¡± I yelled out to him. ¡°I did it before and I can do it again.¡±
I waited and waited yet there was not a peep from his door.
If that¡¯s how he wants to play, then I guess I¡¯ll just have to join in.
I grabbed the crowbar from the garage and stomped back up the stairs, if he couldn¡¯t hear me now then he¡¯s going to be in so much trouble.
I wedged the bar into the frame of the door, fitting perfectly into the indent that the door already had. I snickered at the thought of the last time he tried to keep the door locked but held that feeling down.
A few hard pushes were enough to open this door, it got easier to do this every time. I widened the gap the door gave me to see that had already gotten out of
bed...somewhat.
He looked like he just fell out of bed and decided to stay they for the day. It was funny to see him like this. He¡¯s lost that goofiness that I adored as he grew up.
I grabbed him by the shoulders and jumped back at the feeling of his skin. He was pretty cold.
I ignored that feeling, it must be because he was only wearing boxers to bed with no covers and started to shake him. ¡° , Wake up.¡±
Not even a word or sound came from him. He must really be knocked out.
Right, if he¡¯s going to stay up all night then it¡¯s his fault it¡¯s come to this. I came back into the room holding a large cup of water.
I¡¯m sorry, not really to be honest.
I poured the water on to but there was no reaction. Nothing at all.
Is that the sleep paralysis I¡¯ve heard about?
I thought they would at least have their eyes open.
He¡¯s fine right. Right?
What am I saying? Of course, he is. His breathing is normal so he should¡ THERE¡¯S NO BREATHING. NOT A SINGLE BREATH IS COMING FROM HIM. I placed my head on his heart and...nothing. Nothing at all.
My baby...he¡¯s¡.I don¡¯t even.
I need¡.need to call the hospital. Maybe he¡¯ll be fine. Yeah...he¡¯s fine.
He¡¯ll get out of this.
If there¡¯s one person that I know that wouldn¡¯t...die...like this, it¡¯s him. Please, my baby, stay here with me.
-=Where My Demons Lie=-
¡°See what I-¡±
I ignored what she said.
I can¡¯t believe I felt like this.
I''m so selfish.
This whole time my mother has been dealing with this on her own. She was already dangerous to herself and others after dad died.
Unlike me, she doesn''t think I''m alive.
I need to help her...that¡¯s what I need to do.
"-You shouldn''t be here." I barely caught the last part of that sentence as I came back to reality. I looked at her only to realise how much I¡¯d been crying. I could barely make her out through the blurriness.
¡°Is that so?¡± I asked. "And what do you mean by that?"
As much as I wanted to go back home, I didn¡¯t know what her endgame was. I could be putting Mom in danger and I didn¡¯t want that.
¡°Oh nothing much¡¡± With a snap of her fingers, we arrived back at the tower. I was standing next to Rob. He was still staring down at where I had been previously with his hand outstretched. I could see the faint spots where my tears had impacted the ground. "Let''s just say, Each Sin plays their own game. You just have to find out what piece you represent."
"Are you suggesting that Pride is a part of this?" I asked.
She can manipulate time, appear from nowhere and implies that she knows Pride. Not only that but she suggests that Pride isn''t the only sin. Granted that should have been obvious but he may have just been given that name.
Another snap and a scroll appeared in the air.
That only solidified who she is.
"I''ll get you out of this place but in order to do so, I need something of equal value." She asked, handing me the scroll.
"What would that be? I''m not giving you my body, soul or anything in between." I stated, not daring to open the scroll.
"Nothing like that." She whispered into my ear. When did she-"Just open the scroll..." Her hands wrapped around my own, trying to entice me as he chest presses against my back, using them to open the scroll. "And read it."
I, _____, hereby give what I deem most precious to _____.
"Anything I find precious, I do not have with me. Also, what would this entail exactly?" I asked as she stepped back.
"Nothing much. Trust me, it''ll be worth it in the long run." She replied.
That''s assuming that''ll I see you again after this. "Should I sign this, why would I see you again?"
The woman snorted, "We would be linked, whether you like it or not. I''ll always be able to find you, though I doubt I''ll be needing you again."
I stared her right in the eyes "And explain to me why I shouldn''t tear this up? I dismissed Pride. why should I-Agh"
I fell back in shock and pain. My hands had brightened in colour at the stinging sensation they were now exhibiting. The scroll had exploded into a flurry of fire, the red flames slowly traveling my arms as they crumbled under the intense pressure.
I could hear the sounds of screaming but, with the pain filling my thoughts, I could barely make it out.
A column of fire erupted before me, flames licking my already worn clothes and skin. It twisted and turned as it seemed to scream out to me. The visages of multiple people screaming out at me appeared, flames acting as their arms trying to grab a hold of me, trying to pull me in. I could see the fiery pits that they were held within, their bodies broken down into lifeless husks.
They all slowly pulled back until one remained, "Do well to remember this." The gravely sounds of her voice grated my ears. "I do not take kindly to insults. I do not care for who you are and have no real use for you. If I want something, I will get it, with or without your consent."
I tried to nod at her words, but the flames kept me still. That feeling of relaxation being destroyed in a moment¡¯s notice. The tears appearing again only to be instantly evaporated as the leave my eyes.
"You a mere bug to me, I have lived thousands of years and seen all that I could. If I wanted you dead, you wouldn''t have noticed. Remember that well."
"I would rather die that bend over to a match on her period." I called out.
It started as a rumble.
A soft one, I couldn''t tell what it was first.
It was only when the flames started to sway uncontrollably in the air that I was scared. Scared for my life and for my future.
They jumped and flickered with her voice, her annoying voice that was mocking me. She wasn''t even looking at me.
She was Laughing at me.
"You''re still indecisive, aren''t you?" She started, her head slowly lowering towards my own as she talked, "Let me give you a taste."
Her lips smashed on my own. The stinging burning I could feel and the smell of my own burning flesh was offset by the pure euphoria I was feeling.
Even as she tried to pull away, I grabbed at the flames with my healed hands.
It was no use, however, the flames pushed me back.
"Please..." I need more of whatever that was.
"Now go, Jellal needs you."
-=Where My Demons Lie=-
I shot up suddenly, something was different. I could feel it. My magic was coursing through my body at speeds that I had never known was possible.
Though was something else, something more primal. I could a certain emptiness never filled throughout my stay.
Saliva dripped down my chin at the thought of filling it.
My Hunger.
"A-Akira, where are you going?" A weird influx of emotions came from Rob but I didn''t care.
"Apparently, Jellal needs my help." I replied to him.
Though, with the amount of magic I have at my disposal, it wouldn''t be too hard-
No, I¡¯m thinking too small. Why help Jellal when I could help us all?
Granted I don¡¯t give a shit about those who aren¡¯t the four around me, however, they¡¯ll most likely die against the slavers when they help us.
It¡¯s not like they¡¯ll be much help anyway.
With the small amounts of food, they give us, they¡¯ll probably knell over and watch as I escape.
We escape, all of us. We haven¡¯t met Wally, Sho or Millana but I don¡¯t care. Why should I care about canon anyway? Its only use is to profit against it.
No, wait. Why would I do that? I have no desire to burn everyone who oppose me to the ground.
Am I secretly pyromaniac?
Nah, I never really liked fire.
Reminds me of Envy''s fire, did she do something to me?
I can barely tell. It''s so foggy. All of this in my head seems so real, it''s like I really do want to watch as Rob burns, calling out for Makarov.
N-Now that isn''t something that I would say.
If I was going to kill him, I would make it quick. He''s done too much for us merely by healing me and being a pillar for everyone, even if I act like I don''t need it.
However, I was-Jellal?
"This isn''t like you." I simply stated.
Something inside me was calling out to stop him but I shot it back into the dark parts of my mind. The blood and brain matter that was squelching under my bare feet barely gave me any reaction other than minor discomfort.
I wanted to feel scared but there was nothing at all.
Contrary to what Envy said to me. He was okay. Nothing was noticeable. His skin and his eyes were unblemished. No heat from Envy whatsoever. His clothes were still in usual shape. The only thing I could see that was wrong with him was the blood that had trickled across his body but even then, he still had that spark in his eye.
"Are you ok, Jellal?"
Of all things I would have said, that wasn''t what he was expecting. The surprise slowly left his body as I stood there waiting for him.
"You''re smart." I said, he stood still for a second as I spoke. "So, answer my question, are you ok?"
"I-I.." This new heightened feeling indicated that something was leaving his body. Had it not been for that, I wouldn''t have noticed it was there.
"Can you look me in the eyes and say to me that you are ok? That I don''t have to worry about you?"
"W-What are you saying? You''re the one acting different now, Akira." He cried out, the last of whatever latched onto him leaving.
"Please Jellal..." I begged "Just say it."
He struggled to reply. He was too awestruck to say whatever was going on in his mind.
"I-I''m ok. Please Akira-"
*Crack*
"Then please. Leave here."
-=Where My Demons Lie=-
Don''t really know where I''m going with this story.
I have ideas but I don''t have the dedication I used to have.
I''ll how it goes for now.
