《Time Traveling Hero》 Unnamed Boy Meets Silver Haired Girl PT.1 Hey there reader. In case you were wondering, this isn''t your average story. It is about me after all, a time traveling hero! My name isn''t too important right now, considering I''m under attack at the moment, but just know all will be explained later. Now, I guess I should start from the beginning... It started the day when reality cracked. I was walking home from school by myself, as usual, when a strange occurrence started to happen to me. I scowled as I passed the local store from school. I could''ve sworn I had passed by this store earlier, and I know I wasn''t lost either, I thought to myself, glancing over at the parking lot. Nobody is there, not even cars, which struck me as odd. Ah well, it''s probably nothing. I continued my walk home, only for the same thing to happen to me again a couple minutes later. I stopped walking and looked back at the store. Okay, either the store had multiplied, or I was going crazy. Guess I''ll take a different way back home, I thought to myself as I turned around and went back towards the school, only to find myself back at the store a few minutes later. I dropped my bag in shock. "Okay, what the hell is going on here!!" I exclaimed, pissed at my current predicament. I took a deep breath and ran like hell. Lets see what happens if I run, I thought as I sprint as fast as I can. I once again end up in front of the store, with my bag still in the same place I had left it. So, it really was the same store. I grabbed my bag and walked toward the store. That seemed to be my only option, considering I couldn''t leave this weird endless loop. I walked through the automatic door and got greeted by the person at the counter. I nodded in their direction before going toward the back, near the drinks. I got a bottle of water and on my way to the counter, grabbed a bag of cookies before paying for it in cash. I walked back outside and sat down on the curb, opening my bottle of water. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON! I thought to myself as I calmly drank my bottle of water. Drinking about half before I set it down next to me, i opened my bag of cookies and started to think. Okay, it seems to me that I''ve gotten myself stuck in either a space or time loop. How or why though is the problem. I guess there is a way to check to see which one I''m in though... I proceeded to do the loop one more time, this time keeping track of the time by using my phone. I once again found myself in front of the store, with all my stuff where i left it. I looked down at my phone and sighed. Well, seems I''m stuck in a time loop then. It seems it sends me back to when I first got here. But, why does my stuff stay here? I sat back down again and drank a little bit more of my water. I frowned after I drank it. It seemed to be full again. Along with that, it seemed that my cookies were also unopened. I''m just an ordinary high school kid, albeit smarter than the average highschooler. I didn''t really know how such a thing was possible, or why it had to be me who had to be trapped in this thing of all people, but I was going to figure it out, because I really wanted to just go home and enjoy my sister''s cooking. After all, whenever a girl cooks for you, it always tastes good. A wise man told me that. I also found it strange that I was the only one around. Normally, there would at least be a couple of people in store, but besides the clerk, I was the only one. Not to mention the barren parking lot. I munched on some more cookies before deciding to take a nap. Let''s see if time will rewind if I just stay here, were my last thoughts before drifting off to sleep... And when I woke up, it was the same time, to my disbelief, but instead something new had occurred. A beautiful girl with silver hair was standing next to me, looking straight ahead. Ugh, damnit! I just wanna go home! I thought to myself as I got up and stretched before turning toward the girl. "How long have you been standing there?" I asked curiously, hoping I could gleam some clues from her. "For as long you''ve been asleep," she said in a flat, unemotional tone. She seemed to be a kuudere of sorts. Never thought I would find the type in reality though... "Wait, enough of that train of thought, why were you watching me sleep in the first place!?" "That''s because you accidentally got trapped here with me. I had to make sure no civilians are harmed."Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. "Wait, so you know that we''re in a time loop then?" I asked excitedly. Maybe she does know something then! She finally turned toward me. Her cold, unemotional yellow eyes were striking, and her expression was blank as she tilted her head slightly. "How did you know we were in a time loop?" "I figured it out of course, how else would anyone know?" A slight look of shock came over her face before returning to its blank expression. "... You don''t seem to be a normal civilian," she muttered as she faced forward once again. "I like to think I''m way smarter than the average highschooler. A genius if you would," I proclaimed proudly, giving her a smile and a thumbs up. "I don''t think that''s it all," she replied coldly, disregarding my prideful statement as if it was nothing to scoff at all. I cleared my throat, slightly embarrassed. "So, do you know how to escape from this time loop?" I asked, hoping for a clear answer. "I do not," she said simply. My head lowered in disappointment. "Of course you don''t." "I do not know, because clearing each time loop is different, depending on how they were formed." Huh? There are different types? She makes it sound as if they''re a daily occurrence. "Okay, so is there a procedure for figuring out the conditions, like in a video game or something?" In video games, there would sometimes be conditions you had to fulfill before you could beat the level. Although in that case, they would at least tell you the conditions, or leave an obvious enough clue so you could figure it out. "Yes, there is something like that," she said, nodding her head in agreement. She pointed ahead, where her eyes had been focused on for almost this entire time. "Do you see something there?" I looked over to where she was pointing. Across from the store, there was a small pond surrounded by a grove of trees. Normally, there would be people playing around the pond and in the park, but there wasn''t even that. Then again, this wasn''t normal circumstances either. I looked more closely at the pond, noticing that there weren''t even ducks or any sort of animals. The pond also seemed to be glowing as well. I looked up at the sky and saw a small crack over the pond. "Wait, what the hell? Why is the pond cracking? Can ponds even crack? And it seems to be glowing as well?" This seemed to be going further and further from human understanding. The silver haired girl started to walk towards the pond, walking at a brisk pace. I scratched my head as I watched her walk away. Welp, not like I have anything better to do. I put away my water and my half-eaten bag of cookies in my bag and caught up to her, walking next to her. We crossed the street and reached the railing near the pond. I leaned forward and peered closer to the pond, trying to get close enough so that I could see the bottom. "I would highly advise against that," the girl warned me in her usual tone. I turned my head towards her. She was a little ways from the railing, and her body language suggested that she was on guard. "Why though? I''m just trying to see what''s making the pond glow like this. I think I can almost see it," I said casually before looking back. What happened next was my swift and sudden end in life, or it would''ve been if it hadn''t been for the calm girl standing next to me. I got yanked back from the water and flew into the street, landing on my ass. "Ouch, what was that for..." I asked before trailing off, looking shocked. Right where I originally was, there was a giant fish, with teeth as large as me, chomping at the air where I was. "Found the target, proceeding to engage with the enemy," She said, leaping back to my side. I looked up to see her eyes turn from yellow to purple, as they also seemed to whir to life, focusing in on the giant fish. Looking around, I noticed that the sky had gotten a dark red, with cracks forming all around us. It was as if reality itself was trying to tear itself apart at the seams. "Hey, I don''t know if you''ve noticed, but it seems reality is trying to kill us as well!" "That''s not our concern right now. If we don''t beat this giant fish, reality will be the least of our problems." Huh? What the hell is that supposed to mean? And why am I so calm as well? I shook my head and stood up. "So all we have to do is beat the giant-ass fish right?" I asked, glaring at the fish that had tried to eat me. The silver haired girl glanced at me before nodding. "Yes, we have to beat it in 10 minutes to escape here. Otherwise, the real world will be destroyed as well." A bomb just dropped along with that statement. Or at least it felt that way to me anyway. Real world will be destroyed? So many questions to ask, but I pushed them down to ask the most important one. "So, how exactly will we beat this thing in 10 minutes?" I asked quietly, balling my hands into a fist. "Just leave that to me," she said before leaping into action. I decided to stay back and watch for the time being. After all, she didn''t seem to be a normal human, at least to my judgement. "Configure Mode 2547," she declared. Her arm suddenly turned into a small cannon, and she strafed to the right while aiming it at the fish. She charged up a shot and fired at the fish, who dodged it as it dived back into the pond. How the pond could hold such a giant thing was beyond me. After all, the fish was bigger than the pond itself. "Tch," She frowned as she leapt up into air, going higher and higher. Wait, that wasn''t exactly right. She seemed to have grown mechanical wings, with purple energy acting as the lift factor for her flight. She aimed both of her arms down at the pond and merged both of them into a giant cannon. She charged up her cannon until a big purple ball of energy the size of her appeared. "Fire." With that single word, she shot it directly at the pond, evaporating all the water in the pond, and hitting the now uncovered fish head on. BOOOM! A sudden beam of light erupted from the now empty pond, sending out shock-waves as it pulsed up into the sky. I could only watch in amazement as all this happen. I probably had a dumb look on my face as well. Soon, the light vanished, and with it, the fish as well. Surprisingly, none of the other surroundings were damaged in the obvious one-sided battle between girl and fish. Speaking of the girl, here she was now, floating down to the ground like an silver angel of death. "We should be returning back to the real world momentarily," she said calmly, brushing off dirt from her skirt and clothes as if nothing had happened. Her eyes also returned to the normal yellow they once were. Sure enough, a moment later, reality continued to crack until it shattered, taking us back to the evening we were once in. Stunned by all that had happened, the girl looked at me curiously. "May I ask what light in the pond you saw?" I blinked before realizing she had asked me a question. "Um, couldn''t you see it? It was rather bright after all." She shook her head. "Negative. I was unable to see this light you saw." She seemed to be thinking about something. "Okay then," she muttered to herself before looking at me again. "I am Model 114141 of the Time Resistance Task Force, pleased to make your acquaintance. If possible, I would like to know your name as well." "No thanks, I''m good," I said before raising my hand up in defiance. "I don''t want to hear anymore about this, thank you!" Once again, a brief moment of shock overcame her face before returning to normal. "And why is that?" "Because, I wanna eat my sister''s home-cooked meal obviously!" Unnamed Boy Meets Silver Haired Girl PT.2 "Here you go big bro! I know how much you like my home cooking, so I went all out today!" said my cute little sister, wearing an apron. She set down a pan covered with foil onto the table. I could already feel my mouth watering in anticipation. She ripped the foil off to reveal...! "Tada! I made Meatloaf today! I hope you enjoy it. And make sure too have some salad too before even thinking about eating this meatloaf!" she sternly warned. "And if I don''t?" I asked cheekily, fork going in for the kill. She tossed the now ball of foil at my face. "I''ll never forgive that''s what!" Ah, so cute, even when she gets mad. I obediently followed her orders and got some of the salad, put on some salad dressing (honey mustard of course!) and ate as quickly as humanly possible. My cute lil'' sister, otherwise known as Luna to most, wasn''t actually my real lil'' sis. She was an added bonus of my dad remarrying her mom, and the rest is history. Even so, I still doted on her and loved her like my own. I got a heaping plate of meatloaf, said thank you for the food, and dug right in. Ah yes, nothing could''ve ruined this peaceful, wholesome moment. Well, something already did though. "You eat up too! If I had known big bro was going to bring company, I would''ve made more!" she said enthusiastically. "Affirmative. Will happily eat," the intruder said in her usual flat tone. The intruder was the silver haired girl known as Model 114141, and she followed me home after I renounced her idea of introducing myself. My sister helped her grab some meatloaf and gave her a fork before making her own plate. "You''re too kind lil'' sis. You should let the intruder get her own food," I said before shoveling more food down my throat. "That''s so mean, saying something like that about a guest you brought home!" she exclaimed in shock. "Especially since this is the first guest you''ve brought home," Luna trailed before chomping down on a piece of meatloaf. I scowled and looked down at my food. While it was true that I had never brought anybody home, the simple reason was because I couldn''t risk anybody from my school finding about a cutie such as her. "That''s also the reason I don''t have any friends," I declared before taking another bite out of my already half gone meatloaf. "Big bro, that isn''t something to be declaring so easily," my worried sister said, looking at me with sad eyes. "... It''s good." Our exchange got interrupted by the intruder, who, despite sounding shocked, still had the same expressionless face on. "That''s a kuudere for you I guess," I muttered before drinking some water. "You really should learn to stop using words no one else knows except you," my sister said frowning. "Well, maybe they should get educated then." "I only know because I''ve known you for so long, but others aren''t like that you know," she said, exasperated by my usual self. "How would I get educated, as you would suggest?" the intruder asked tilting her head in confusion. "Oh no you don''t, you''re not tricking me with how you slyly drop questions like that!" Her head was tilted in a confused manner. "I merely wish to learn what it is I haven''t. I already know all forms of math, physics, sciences, and especially history. However, I do not know what this ''kuudere'' you speak of. Has it something to do with culture or language? If so, I would greatly appreciate learning more about this time, seeing I''ll be here for a while." I stared at my sister, who seemed equally stunned at her response. I sighed and looked back at the girl. How the hell am I supposed to respond to that? I thought as I put my hand to my face. "If you don''t know about it, then don''t worry about. No use worrying about things like this I say," I replied to her statement. The girl looked down at her plate and replied "Understood" before eating some more meatloaf. After we had finished eating, I was just about to head back upstairs to the wonderful seclusion known as my room when I heard a worried shout, and then rapid footsteps. Well, this can''t be good. And sure enough it wasn''t. "Big bro! Big Bro! This is terrible, just terrible!" I turned around to see a breathless Luna, who look extremely worried. "The girl you brought home-!" "Nope." I cut her off before I could hear anymore and continued to walk up the stairs.Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site. "You didn''t even let me finish!" "Anything to do with that girl is trouble alright, I just know it! So nope, don''t wanna hear it!" "But, but she''s homeless! She doesn''t have a place to stay!" I once again froze and understood the implications of that statement. Because of how nice and naive my sister is, I knew what the next words would be from her mouth. "Nope, she is not staying with us!" "How did you know what I was going to say!?" she said. "Can you read minds or something?" I made my way back downstairs and put my hand on her auburn colored head. "I don''t need to read minds to know what my cute, adorable, kind, and naive lil'' sis is thinking." I gave her her favorite: head pats. "Hee Hee, aw thanks big bro, you''re not so bad yourself!" "And because of that kindness and naivety, I must decline your suggestion. I mean, what would Mom and Dad think?" I took my hand off her head as she looked up at me with her cute pouty face. "But, please?" The girl who had been a little bit behind Luna, bowed her head. "Please allow me to stay here for the time being. I would be in your debt." The cute lil'' sis in front of me pleading with her eyes, and the beautiful silver haired girl bowing her head in asking me, what could I possibly say in a situation like this? Well, I think it''s pretty obvious. "No." And then I escaped back to the comfort of my room before I could see their expressions. Because if there is one weakness I have, it would be the shocked and forlorn looks of my sister and that girl, or rather, any girl that could make me have this growing sense of guilt... The next morning, I walked downstairs to see my sister smiling as she cheerfully made breakfast for the two of us. My lunchbox was already made and waiting for me on the counter. Good, it seems that she''s alright. I know how she can throw a tantrum when she doesn''t get her way. I shivered at the thought. Well, let''s just say I''m glad those days are over. "Mornin'' lil'' sis, happy as usual huh?" I said lazily as I pulled up a chair and waited for her to finish cooking. "Yep, although no thanks to you big bro." I tensed up at that sentence as I looked over at her. She turned to look back before grinning. "But it''s alright, I understand where you''re coming from, and so I forgive you!" As quick as I tensed up, I relaxed. I breathed a sigh of relief. "So, whatever happened to Model, er, I mean the intruder." "She''s staying somewhere close by, so don''t worry about that. And done!" She said hastily before proclaiming that her cooking was done. "Here you go bro, eat up and then hurry up and go to school! You might be late since you woke up so late. Were you up doing your hobbies again?" Hobbies, code-word for my activities that I only conduct in my room. While my sister knew about some hobbies, she most definitely did not know about others. Those I would take to the grave. "Of course! You know I can''t live without my sweet hobbies," I said, quickly eating breakfast. "Did you at least finish all your homework?" "Do you even need to ask that question lil'' sis? I always complete my homework during school. Not like they teach me anything meaningful..." I suffered from what I liked to call smart people syndrome. While not inflicting all smart people, it most certainly affected me. Basically, the stuff they were teaching me no longer warranted my attention, and I went through my days doing only the bare minimum to keep my grades at a perfect 100 at all times, finding only sanctuary in my hobbies. In a nutshell, I was bored. "Really big bro, if you''re so bored, why don''t you take some harder classes?" "I''m taking the hardest classes the school has to offer." "Heheh, of course you are," Luna said before sighing. She plopped down in a chair next to me and watched me eat my breakfast. "So, is it the usual for you today as well?" I asked carefully. "Yeah, it is for the most part," she replied before setting her head down onto the table. "I see, well that most part sounds exciting, so have fun doing that!" I said cheerfully, noting the difference in our usual morning exchange. "What are you going to do that''s different?" I asked curiously. My sister never goes outside what''s her ''norm'', so this could be what we call progress ladies and gentleman! She looked nervous as she lifted her head off the table, tapping her pointer fingers together, trying to find the words to say what she needed to say. "Well, on second thought, maybe it''ll be better if you tell me after school, so you can tell me all of your exciting stories," I said, retracting my previous statement. She seemed like she wanted to say something, but then shook her head. "Thank you..." I finished eating my breakfast and grabbed my lunchbox and my bag, which was near the door. "No prob lil'' sis. And remember?" "Call you if anyone strange shows up, I know!" "Good girl! Well, I''m off!" And with that final statement, I rushed off to what should''ve been another boring day at school. However... Right when I walked into the first class of the day, having to run the entire way to school (often an usual occurrence), I walked to the row of desks closest to the window, 2nd from the back and right when I was about plop down into my seat, I, too my surprise, found it already occupied. "Hi there, pleasure to meet you again so soon." Damn it, how the hell is she here? Sitting in my seat was the familiar silver haired beauty I had become acquainted with the day before. She looked at menacing gaze and realized what I was mad about. "Oh, is this your seat? I''ll move then." Or maybe not, but at least she got out of my seat. She moved to the seat behind mine and watched as I plopped down onto me seat right as the bell rang. And so, the silver haired girl and I began to see a lot more of each other. Throughout the day similar occurrences happened, as she had somehow infiltrated each and every one of my classes. It wasn''t until lunchtime, where I ate on the roof, was that I finally didn''t see her. The roof was my sanctuary at school, seeing as no one else was allowed up here except me, for reasons which will be later explained. I sighed as I opened my homemade lunchbox made by my adorable little sister. She even puts motivating notes in them. Ah, how wonderful. I read the note she wrote, something I always did, and scowled at the message. "Try to make a friend today, because I worry about you Big Bro!" with a smiley face at the end. I put the note to the side and said thanks for the food before devouring my lunch. I finished earlier than anticipated, so I got up and looked outside to see the wide expanse. I felt the whoosh of wind behind me, and a voice. "I finally found you," said the voice in it''s usual unemotional tone. I whirled around to find myself with face to face with Model 114141. What the hell, she was looking for me too? Why can''t she just let bygones be bygones? "Why do you care so much about little ol'' me? I mean seriously, what could you possibly want with a loner like me?" "Because you are intriguing to me," she replied simply. "I''m intriguing to you? You, Model 114141, who can do so many extraordinary things, and you''re interested in me? Man, your standards must be hella low," I muttered, scowling at my current predicament. "Not in that way, but something about you is different from other humans, something I cannot process. Being that the case, I wish to ask you about something. Also, I wish to inquire about your name. You have had your sister''s home cooked meal, correct?" I gritted my teeth in anger. How can she be so calm about this? "Listen, Model 114141, I don''t really get what you mean by something is different, other than I''m a lone wolf, but I can not tell you my name." "And why is that?" she asked, tilting her head in curiosity. "And that is because I simply don''t want to!" and with that final statement, I left the roof, and made my way downstairs. Jeez, doesn''t she know when to quit? I thought as I blinked. And when the blink was over, I was back on the rooftop, facing the silver haired girl once more Unnamed Boy Meets Silver Haired Girl PT.3 I stared at the silver haired girl, stunned. What the hell had actually happened? Another Time Loop? "... Affirmative. Requesting to start mission," The silver haired girl said, her yellow eyes whizzing to life. I couldn''t believe my luck. How could this happen to me again, let alone in the span of less than a day? The girl nodded, having gotten her mission request accepted by the looks of things. Her yellow eyes had now whizzed to a stop after focusing their gaze on me. "How strange for you to get caught in another time loop. The inhabitants of this world don''t get trapped in these phenomenon. Except for you. How very strange indeed..." She trailed off, trying to make sense of it. Could it be because of that? I thought, grabbing onto something that would normally be around my neck. Feeling that it wasn''t there, I scowled and shook my head. Well, it''s not like I was going to do anything with it anyway. "Well, I solely blame you for this. So far, every time one of these things has happened, you''re always nearby. How did you find me anyway?" "I asked one of the teachers. Her response was strange, but she seemed to know.¡± "Damn that woman! I told her not to tell anybody!" I roared out angrily. Seriously, what''s the point of telling people about this place? Especially if it means I can''t even do what me and her are meant to figure out together? "Is it a problem that I know about this place?" she asked, tilting her head to her side questioningly. "So long as you don''t tell anybody else about this place, it should be fine," I muttered, not very pleased with the current conditions. "I guess now that we technically have unlimited time for the time being, why don''t we talk some," she asked, for once a hint of emotion in her voice: enthusiasm. I sighed and sat down. "Fine, what is it you wish to talk about?" I asked unenthusiastically. "For one, your name," she responded almost immediately, also sitting down. I frowned. "What is your obsession with knowing my name? It''s not important, so just leave it at that." "But what am I supposed to call you? You know my name, so what should I call you?" "Only because you told me your name while I was still stunned by what had happened. Seriously though, what kind of name is Model 114141?" I asked, looking away from the beautiful girl sitting in front of me. Silence. I suddenly became confused by the abrupt silence. I turned back towards her to find a look of shock on her face. Except this one didn''t go away immediately. "You, you remember my name?" she said in incredulous shock, asking it like she couldn''t believe it. "I don''t see why not. It''s not particularly difficult to remember, especially after-" I said, stopping myself halfway. I almost said something embarrassing just then, something closer to what some people could believe his true feelings on the matter. I cleared my throat. "In any case, no need to look so shocked about it, is what I''m trying to say I guess." Her eyes were whirling around like mad, before they finally calmed down. At the same time, her face reverted back to its normal apathetic self. "I see, well if that''s the case, there''s nothing further on that matter," she said, sensing that the conversation wasn''t going to go anywhere. "Next topic is the matter of the Time Resistance Task Force." Having finally calmed down unnecessary feelings, I thought about her statement just now. "The TRTF, huh? What about them?"This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings. "If possible, I wish to take you back to them. You are different, in a way I can not describe. However, maybe my colleagues would be able to identify this strange feeling around if." She clutched her arms in a rather vulnerable manner. "It''s as if some part of you is not human." I scowled at her response, although the reason is unclear to you right now reader. "So you basically just want to run experiments on me huh? I''d rather not, no thanks! Tell your friends to piss off!" She looked slightly disappointed. "I see, I was hoping you could fill in the role of a certain spot..." "A certain spot?" She nodded. "Yes, a certain spot that has been vacant for about 12 years now, where only one chosen can take up that role." "10 years ago, huh? That brings back bad memories," I muttered, thinking back to that dark time in my life. Now that I think about it, it was around that time many turbulent changes had happened in a short time span. The girl incapable of showing emotions ignored my reminiscing on the past and continued. "Yes, 10 years ago we lost our most capable person in our force. Ever since then, we have been desperately searching for someone to take up that mantle." She stood up, and I could''ve sworn I saw a wistful look in her eyes. "That special person was known as the Time Traveling Hero," she said before turning away from me. "And a dear friend of mine..." She whispered quietly, almost so quiet that I couldn''t hear it. Almost. I couldn''t help but laugh at the audacity of her statement. "You want me, a friendless loner, with nothing special about him, just an ordinary person living in the ruins known as the cogs of life, to be a hero? Don''t make me laugh anymore than I already am. I know that that''s just a fantasy. Reality is harsher than this. Real heroes don''t exist!" And with that statement, I suddenly got sent flying into the wall by a strong force to the face. Slamming into the wall unprepared, I yelled out a scream of pain before gritting my teeth in determination. Holding my side as I slowly got up, using my free hand, I felt my cheek, which was warm to the touch. "Ugh, what the hell was that for!" I yelled out, looking at the culprit of my sudden flight. "Just shut up," she said quietly, her hands balling up into fists. Wait, did I make her angry? I thought, shocked. I didn''t think that was possible, but just now I was proven wrong. "Don''t talk bad about her. Didn''t anyone tell you to have manners?" she said, her voice shaking. She''s like a different person now, I thought carefully. I better be more careful with what I say. Model 114141 was looking down onto the floor, her entire body now shaking. "You know, I wanted to know your name because you have such striking similarities between the two of you. But you know what," she said, her voice shaking, her entire body trembling with rage. "You''re nothing like her! Not in the slightest! She was way kinder, cooler, stronger, and better than you in anyway!" The silver haired girl roared out this statement in anger, and when her eyes were turned toward me, they were purple, whirring into focus onto my injured self. "I won''t let anyone talk bad about her in that way. Not now, NOT EV-!" She suddenly got cut off as she suddenly passed out. I sighed. "I really don''t like it when I have to do this. Take a nap for a while. I''ll figure it out from here," I said sadly. The now sleeping girl didn''t respond, but I already figured that. I turned toward the sky, which I had noticed was glowing for quite some time now. Ever since I had found out it was another time loop. "Come on out already. I already know at least something is there, judging from last time." I heard a screech in response, and soon a giant bird came flying from the now red cloud covered sky. It landed in front of the unconscious girl. Ignoring her, the bird looked at me upon confusion, probably wondering why I seemed so easy to kill. "Underestimating me like that will be your downfall you know." I said before taking a deep breath. And right as the bird was rushing me, going to slice me in half with its giant beak, a slash suddenly appeared on it''s right leg, albeit a small one. It was enough however, for it toppled down and slid to a stop right in front of me. Its beady eyes glared at me as I knelt down next to it. "It seems the condition was cleared last time by killing the monster last time." I said loudly, giving my best glare back. The giant eagle like bird roared at me before snapping it''s beak at me, trying to rip my head off. But it suddenly failed as it stopped to squawk in pain as it looked towards one of its wings, now slashed at the tendon so it could no longer fly. The bird looked back at me, who had started to breathe hard. "But I won''t do that obviously. It would be better for both of us if we could cooperate, wouldn''t you agree?" The bird seemed confused. I looked it over and grinned to the bird. "So, how you let me be your rider? It would be super convenient if I could fly to school, right?" Realizing my intent, the bird looked at me with a new light in his eyes. And just like that, reality, which was cracking slowly like last time, broke, and I was met with the once red filled cloud covered sky shattering into a now mid-afternoon clear one. The bird also suddenly got up, it''s wounds seemingly healed. I scowled. Was that another effect of being in the time loop? That all wounds suffered while inside would be healed once left? I looked down at myself, and the theory seemed to be proving true. The pain of being sent flying into the wall was gone, and I could move freely once more. The bird, who was awaiting my command, stayed stationary. I looked at him in curiosity, wondering what I was going to do with him. "I guess I should give you a name huh?" I mused to myself. I wracked my brain trying to think of a name when I suddenly noticed something odd about the color patterns of the bird. Almost like... I grinned as I looked at my new found friend. "I''ll call you Raijin!" Unnamed Boy Meets The Raven Haired Woman After the second time loop incident, Model 114141 still hadn''t woken up for some weird reason, although I could hazard a guess. I left her in the nurse''s office after getting strange looks at my dusty clothes, which I had tried my best to get rid of most of it. I had also sent Raijin off to roam a nearby forest, where he would head my call whenever I needed him. Not sure how I knew that, but it felt like that was about right. Other than that, the rest of the school day was uneventful, except near the end of day, where I made it to the roof to do my usual thing. Awaiting me there was none other the culprit who sold out my spot. A 25-year-old woman looked out over the edge, her jet black hair swaying in the wind as she seemed to awaiting someone''s arrival. And that person had most certainly had arrived. "What do you want, you quidnunc of a sister?" She sighed before scratching her head. "You know, it really doesn''t help that you use words that people don''t know." "You''ve already graduated from university, so you should at least know some words spoken by a highschooler." She just shook her head in response. She turned around, and she grinned at me. "It''s been a while, hasn''t it brother?" For some context on who this woman is, she''s someone who helped me greatly in the past while I was struggling 10 years ago. I will always be eternally grateful to her, and she also knew about some of my other hobbies, the one''s I would take to my grave. And this woman''s name, dressed in a black suit, with frosty white skin, and a gleam of mischievousness in her green eyes, was named Eris Cardea. "Yes, it really has been a while Eris. Although, I believe that was on purpose, seeing I remember a certain someone saying not to talk to them at school." "Oh, I didn''t think you would actually go through with it! So mean, especially to one as close to you as me!" I couldn''t help but let a smile form on my face. While she did like to meddle in my life quite a bit, she was always there to help me in a bind. In a way, she was like an ideal older sister. "So, what''s with the occasion huh?" I asked, already knowing the answer to the question. She got closer to me until she was a few inches from my face. We were about the same height with her heels on, but that would probably change in about a couple months. "hmm, it seems my scheme didn''t work this time," she said, peering at my face to see any reaction. "And the fact that you didn''t even react to such a beautiful woman such as myself getting so close to you didn''t even spark an ounce of that primal teenage boy!? I''m hurt," She said with a fake sniffle. While I can''t deny that she is a nice to look at, with her body and face attracting many men far and wide, I wasn''t about to agree with her. It would just go to her head. Leaning back after her failed attempt to lure me with her seductiveness, she put her hands on my shoulders. "So, how did you like my surprise? As much as I hate to send another woman your way, I couldn''t wait to see the outcome! So, tell me, how did it go?"This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. I brushed off her hands and turned to my side, looking up at the blue sky. "You really shouldn''t have done that. You know how I am with people. Besides, the only girl I need in my life is my cute Luna." "You didn''t answer my question you know," she said trying to get a look at my expression. "... You know me too well for me to trick you huh?" I said, looking over at the curious Eris. "So, it didn''t go well then, huh?" she determined, reading right through me. The silence I offered was her answer. "You know, it''s been a little bit over a year since you started high school, and now you''re a sophomore with no friends. Even by your standards, that''s a little rough. Is it because of her situation?" More silence, as she continually hit the nail on the head. She moved to be facing me, and I averted my eyes, not able to look her in those understanding green eyes. "Even now, you''re too nice for your own good, you know that?" and suddenly I was pressed into her ample chest as she hugged me tight. "You don''t have to do this to yourself. You''re allowed to have a life despite the extraneous circumstances surrounding yourself. To have friends, make fond memories, and grow while helping others grow, you''re allowed to have that chance too. Hell, when I was dealing with you, I had a life of my own. Otherwise, I probably would''ve gone crazy." She allowed my head to rise up, and she pressed her forehead against my own. "So that''s why I wish for you to enjoy these years while you can. To have fun experiences like my own, to make potentially life long friends, that is the future I want you to have as your big sis." Somehow, she always seemed to know what to say. And yet, I could never return the favor. The feelings, his true feelings on all that had occurred, were slowly but surely rising to the surface to eventually reach a breaking point. That point would not be reached today though. She pressed me back into her chest, and I hugged her tight in return, allowing him to show his weakness to this person and this person alone. "I see, so that''s what happened." It was now close to evening, and the sky was starting to turn orange. I had sat down near the railing, where I had explained all that had transpired in the last day or so to my confidant Eris, also sitting down, who mused over the entire thing. "Well, just make up with her obviously. I mean, I know how hard it is for you to do such a thing, but I believe in you!" She said, trying to motivate me but insulting me at the same time. "I guess it really is that simple, huh?" I know for a fact that she''s still in the nurse''s office, probably still unconscious. But... "Can I really do such a thing?" "Of course you can! It''s simple! While I do know the truth behind those words, you of all people should know the intricacies of a girl''s heart! Just do your thing and you''ll be fine!" she said encouragingly, wrapping one arm around me and pulling me closer. "If you say so, I guess I''ll try my best," I said, feeling the effects of her motivation. I got up and brushed myself off. Eris was looking up at me with a knowing smile. "What''s up?" I asked, not knowing the meaning behind the smile. "Oh, It''s nothing, nothing at all." She shook her head before getting up again. She gave me a quick hug. "Good luck out there Mr. Hero," she said before releasing me from her warm embrace. I glared at her before giving up on such feelings. After all, I couldn''t stay mad at this Big Sis of mine for long. I walked towards the door and opened it before turning back. "Hey sis?" I called out to her. "Hmm?" "Thanks for everything you''ve ever done for me. I hope one day I''ll be able to return the favor." And with that final statement, I walked down the stairs to meet the Silver Haired girl. I shook my head silently at the boy who declared such words in front of me. If only he knew all that he had done for me, maybe this growing sense of unease would go away, I thought, clutching my pendant. I took it out underneath my shirt and opened it to see the insides. There was a scribbled date on one side, and a picture of me 10 years ago. But I wasn''t alone in that picture. "The time isn''t right yet it seems, for me to finally say those words of thanks I''ve been holding back, to the person who''s saved me countless times," I smiled at the other one in the photo, who had a silly grin on his face. About the same age as me back then, but not now, how cruel could time be to a girl''s heart? "My Time Travelling Hero."
