 Chapter 1

    (Lily)


    Today starts like every other, my twin sister, Rose, and I wake up at 7 A.M. and start getting ready for school. We put on our uniform and eat a simple breakfast of eggs, Pancakes (we made the batter last night), and bacon.


    As we eat we talk about work and school seeing if there is anything that might be important to do today, we have to go to work, and school, but other then that there is really nothing of note. We start work at 8:30 so we spend the next 30 minutes finishing our homework and cleaning up from breakfast. When we finish it¡¯s 8, so we start walking to work. ,


    It starts out as every other day we walk along the least used roads and go to work the back way when we see more than 3 or 4 people we will walk on one of the alternate routes we have memorized at this point. We walk in a comfortable silence only breaking the silence when we get close to the building we work in and need to be polite to our coworkers. We both just work as office drones dealing with the customers, and sending the workers were they need to go.


    We work for 8 hours and when we get off some of our coworkers invite us out to go get a few drinks but being underaged and still have to be at school in an hour we decide against going with them, instead, we start walking to school.


    When we get to school we see our friends gathering so we go over and hear a conversation about the new game system that is supposed to be playable while you sleep. James is talking about it and how he¡¯s already preordered it, trying to convince everyone else to preorder it as well so we could all play together when we get it, we were all in the beta together but only James and the two of us pre-ordered it the rest of them need to save up a bit more money before ordering it. As he sees us he calls out ¡°Lily, Rose please tell me that at least you two had decided to preorder it over the weekend.¡± we wait to reply until we get closer to the group so we aren''t shouting and both of us nod while saying, ¡°Yeah, we preordered it.¡± and ¡°Yep.¡± James looks at us and like he just found an angel and says, ¡°Yes! At least you two are going to be able to play Dvati with me.¡±


    After the conversation, everyone disperses and goes to class. We end up spending the next few hours in classes, we have Game Design, English, and Math today.


    By the time we start walking home the sun has long set but we have the walk memorized and start walking home along the familiar route the gray/blue buildings, boxes and bins, and the glowing light of street lamps lighting the way. As we are walking we find ourselves in a field of blue light before passing out.

    We wake up and immediately try to stand only to fall over with what could be described as headache, but it feels like when you just crammed for a test you knew almost all the answers for but now you know them from two different sources, and like most headaches were you feel a splitting pain. The feeling fades after about an hour but it feels like it was more like a week. When it finally ends we hear a voice in our minds sounding like the others but fitting in with the background noise like the thought was our own. When we try to single it out it just blends in with the background more getting to the point where we can¡¯t discern it from the rest of our thoughts, it feels natural. We begin doing everything simultaneously be it tilting our head, taking a step, or blinking, everything is in sync with the other. Deeper than any bond either of us have felt before yet at the same time not intrusive, like it was always supposed to be this way.


    As we try to figure out what is happening we look around to see a fairly standard office room with an ambiguous figure sitting at the desk that appears to be made of a dark wood in the center of the room. We hear the figure call out, ¡°Well this is a surprise normally the ones that are to be reincarnated have to weak a soul.¡±


    We¡¯re being reincarnated? That means we died, but how?


    ¡°Well if you would be as kind as to sit there and listen, this will be easy, first yes you are dead both of you, Second no I can¡¯t send you back to the world you just died in though you can get back, Third you will be the only bit of entertainment I get so do please be entertaining, fourth you will go into a world of magic, fifth you will be above the standard for anyone in that world though don¡¯t think you will be the strongest when you first get there you will need to work for that. Did I miss anything? I don¡¯t think so well goodbye if you need anything just call me.¡±This story originates from a different website.     As this person makes all these claims we find ourselves enthralled by the idea of going to a new world and living more than a boring day to day life. We find ourselves wanting the impossible, wishing that we can get a break from our parents who would rather go to another country then raise the kids they brought into this world, and from teachers who would rather we collapse from over working then let our grade drop from an A. Their voice has a childish sound to it like it wants to get done with a chore so it can go play. The voice says,


    ¡°Goodbye, I will be watching you so try not to die again.¡±


    We appear in the middle of a forest that is primarily Black Oak with some Pitch Pine trees. The forest blocks most of the light from reaching around where we are, though for some reason we can see everything as if it were bright as day. We can faintly hear the sounds of wildlife running away. Upon hearing what sounds like a girl crying out for help. We are not the most suited for anything like saving a person in trouble but for some damn reason we feel compelled to go save her so against our better judgment we find ourselves running to the source of the cry for help. Luckily we manage to stop before we just run straight into them so we at least get to see what we are dealing with, but as we come to a stop they are leaving. It seems from the few glances we do get to be a pair of wolves with fur black as coal, leaving a faint smell of burning brimstone behind them and a trail of dark red flame anywhere their paws touch down, they are following a young looking girl who can¡¯t be more than 16 years old. Seconds pass as we watch not sure what to do, as the wolves speed up to catch the girl, but unlike we are expecting them to do they halt and turn to stare straight at us, before the girl points straight at the two of us sending the hounds after us. As they run straight at us we see they have eyes that are they same color as the flame they trail behind them. We freeze as they run at us one of them running straight at us the other circling back to flank us, just before they would attack us they stop and circle us as the women they were following walks up to us, she has porcelain white skin with blue eyes and blonde hair wearing a light blue dress with a pair of boots that look to be a mix of practical and fancy, she asks,


    ¡°Who are you?¡±


    it¡¯s a simple question but as she asks it the world it self freezes. Turning the once pleasantly warm and shaded day into an ice sculpture, We don¡¯t even think we just stare at the world around us even with it freezing the fire from the hounds¡¯ stays, continuing to burn. After 15 seconds she repeats her question with more force this time,


    ¡°Tell me your names or die.¡±


    Not wanting to die we speak at the same time and say


    ¡°Rose Astra Fortuna¡±, ¡°Lily Aysun Fortuna¡±


    she looks at us for a few seconds and says,


    ¡°Why were you following me through this forest? No that doesn¡¯t matter you will die right here.¡±


    She raises her hand and lowers it to point at us as the hounds jump at us.


    ¡°What the hell?¡± She calls out as her hounds don¡¯t even come close to touching us they just hit an invisible wall and are forced back. We hear a voice ring out from nowhere


    ¡°YOU DARE ATTACK A PAIR OF ELVES IN THIS FOREST!?¡±


    Ow, that hurt our ears. Do they need to be so loud? Wait did they just say ¡°Pair of elves¡±? Meaning two elves? We don¡¯t see any elves. The women in front of us jumps back and calls her hounds back to her side. When she does this a pair of elves jump down in front of us facing the women and 1 who looks to be the commander jumps down next to us and asks,


    ¡°Are you two alright?¡±


    we think for a few seconds before replying ¡°yeah we¡¯re fine.¡±


    He seems surprised that we talk at the same time but says nothing about it, he just says,


    ¡°After we deal with her we will bring you back to our town.¡± He then goes and joins his group.


    We watch what they are doing it seems more akin to a dance then a fight, the hounds jumping and attacking the elves while at the same time defending the 16-year-old girl. the elves having superior range to the hounds are fighting them at range but then the girl who we can only call a mage throws beams that freeze whatever they contact including the air to a lesser extent, this forces the elves to need to get up close and personal with her. though as they try the hounds get in their way forcing them to back up, though two of them push forward and manage to take down the mage girl while the other four keep the hounds under control. Even with 6 elves attacking it takes a long and fancy looking dance, sorry fight before the girl finally is knocked out and her hounds disappear into smoke.


    We get brought back to the moment as the commander walks over and apologizes for taking so long, and asks us to go with him and his troops back to the city, we have no reason to not go with them and we need a place we can learn about this world we are going to be living in so we nod and follow them back to the town they are from. After about 2 hours we start to see buildings and obvious signs of civilization, as we get closer we see in both of our visions:

    That doesn¡¯t normally happen, does it? Well, it happened to both of us so let¡¯s just roll with it and pretend that nothing is new. We follow the commander and his squad into the city of Thistle Bane.


    We get lead to a small building on the edge of the city when we get there the commander says, ¡°I am sorry about this but we need to make sure that you are friendly before we allow you to enter the city of Thistle Bane, so if you don¡¯t mind answering a few questions and showing us your status we will decide if the two of you are aloud to enter.¡± The questions are fairly simple just name, place of birth, age, any schooling and other stuff like that, we answer at the same time to every question: Rose Astra Fortuna, Lily Aysun Fortuna, 18 years of age, 14 years of schooling. We are then asked to share are status with him and having no idea how to do this we ask him and he says we just need to say or think ¡®Status¡¯ and then when that appears we just need to say or think ¡°Status Share¡¯ and pick who we share it with, so we both say ¡°status¡± and everything blacks out.

 Chapter 2

    (Lily & Rose)


    When we awake we are in what appears to be a coliseum with training dummies wearing purple and blue armor, some holding shields others with weapons. We also see in the center of the coliseum is a man who at first we mistake for just another training dummy but they very clearly moved to look at us and motions us forward.


    When we get to the man he says, ¡°Welcome to the class arena, please each of you choose a class.¡±


    We looked through all the options that were available to us there was everything from worker to mage and even some exotic to say the least things like sex-slave and other such things but we simply ignored all of those and looked at the core parts of an adventuring party: The Mage, The Swordsman, and the Healer, the options where:


    The arcane magic based classes: you have tapped into the Arcane and unlocked at least some minor secrets of it, allowing you to command a portion of it.


    {Apprentice: The First Tier of the base magic line, +1 INT +1 WIS +1 WILL per level}


    {Initiate: The Second Tier of the base magic line, +2 INT +2 WIS +2 WILL per level}

    Not really being religious we decide to have Lily take the Blade Demon class and Rose will end up with the Arch-Magi class, but when we select to ta\ke them we get a warning that says: ¡®Inorder to gain the Blade-Demon/ Arch-Magi class you will need to level all other classes in those lines continue? You will start with the Apprentice/ Swordsman class¡¯


    Well the mysterious child like voice thing did say we would have to work to be the strongest so we might as well continue with a goal in mind. ¡°Yes we would like to continue.¡± We say at the same time, when we finish we see what could only be a status screen appear in front of us:

    Well that sure is nice we both gain the same classes as one another, reading over the status screen we come to the conclusion that every part of... us? Or whatever the screen displays is the same except for skills which are for some reason different, weird, wait shouldn''t we be thinking that it¡¯s odd that everything else is the same? Looking at our race is also confusing shouldn''t Dvati be a subrace of Elf? Not Elf being a subrace of Dvati? And blessed so two subraces? We don''t know if that¡¯s normal at all but guess we have something to learn when we get back to¡­ its not earth so whatever that place is called.

    15 minutes huh, well what do we need to get used to? We don¡¯t have a sword to test the {Swords} skill but we should be able to test {dodge}, {acrobatics}, and {taunt}. We end up spending 5 minutes on each skill figuring out that for some reason when Lily went to grab Rose she didn''t even have to think about activating anything but just seemed to know where she would be coming from but with the other skills we had to activate them. Maybe it wasn¡¯t actually dodge?


    When the 15 minutes ended we were put back into our body¡¯s staring at our status screens, with the commander looking at us and waiting. Remembering that we are supposed to show our status to him we both say, ¡°Status Share.¡±


    He looks over our status screens for around 20 minutes before looking us straight in the eyes as best he can and saying, ¡°Do you two want a job? It pays 5 coppers a day each, you get 2 days off a week, assisted leveling, we will provide all the gear necessary, and free room to stay in.¡± he didn''t even tell us what the job was, and is 5 coppers a lot? Hmm we should really ask what the job is, so we say, ¡°We can¡¯t accept or refuse until you tell us what the job is.¡± He looks at us then says ¡°Oh right how could I forget the two of you would be employed as guards of Thistle Bane you already have the swordsman class so it would be no problem to employ you and with your stats at your level, not to mention your affinity being so high you would make fine guards assuming you respect the law and your superiors.¡± Guards? well thats similar to what we would be doing when we got out of college anyway, free room and we get paid that''s nice we won''t have to pay as much for living expenses. Assisted leveling? If this is like a game and you need to kill monsters for EXP then this should reduce the risk by a significant margin.


    We look at each other thinking the same thing ¡®well this solves income and living, might as well accept¡¯ so we do just that we turn and look at the commander and speaking at the same time say ¡°we will accept this job.¡±


    The commander then calls over to one of the other elves in this barracks? And tells them to give us a quick tour then give us are swords. So the guy comes over and says, ¡°My name is Virion if you have any questions please ask, I will be giving the two of you a quick tour of this town, I will also be giving you your swords and armor.¡± he then waits for about 30 seconds to see if we have any questions when we don¡¯t he starts walking over to a rack with chain armor, longswords, and shields. He glances at us as he''s grabing two sets of armor and padding to go underneath. After about 2 minutes he hands each of us a set of armor, a shield, and a longsword, asking, ¡°Do you two now how to put the armor on or do you need help?¡± neither of us have ever worn anything like this before so we reply, ¡°We need help.¡± he then leads us into a room that is smaller and helps us put the armor on straps the shield to our wrist and hang the sword on our belts. All in all it takes about 15 minutes for both of us to be armored and ready to leave.


    When we walk out of the barracks we see a small group of creatures with pointed teeth, mottled green skin, deep green eyes and wearing nothing but a loin cloth. When we see them Virion says, ¡°Well lets see how you handle yourselves against goblins.¡± and he steps back leaving us to fight the goblins.


    Almost instinctively Lily steps forward and raises her shield, then slams her sword into it repeatedly which effectively gets the attention of the goblins and they start charging at her but right before they get there Rose dashes forward jumping over Lily and cutting one of the goblins head off killing it, before quickly ducking back behind Lily as she draws there attention once more this time they are close enough for her to also attack one of the goblins stabbing it in the side not killing it but definitely wounding it as Rose kills another one and goes back into hiding. We repeat this until we have killed all 6 of the goblins without taking any damage, we then get a pop up in front of both of our visions:

    We leveled up and it feels amazing we can feel our bodies getting stronger.


    (Virion)


    The commander comes in with 2 girls that look like mirror images of each other asks them the basic questions: age, place of birth, years of schooling, and all of that they seem to ignore the question about place of birth but answer the other ones they say they are 18 years of age, with, get this 14 years of schooling only nobles would go to school that long, I mean seriously 140 years, out of the 180 they¡¯ve been alive? When they are asked for their status screens they don¡¯t understand what they are supposed to do so the commander explains they then do so, the commander then stares at their screens for 20 minutes! When he looks away from them the first thing he says is ¡°Do the two of you want a job?¡± he then lists the benefits.


    After they accepted he called me over and is having me give them their armor and explain everything they need to know about being a guard. When I give them there armor, I ask if they even know how to put it on and they say they need help doing so. After taking 15 minutes to help them get their armor and shields on, and strap the sword to their side we start the tour of the town. But of course as soon as we get out of the barracks there is a group of 6 goblins headed for the town I decided that it would be a good test of their skill with the blade so I step back and tell them that these are goblins and ask to see how they handle themselves.


    At first I thought that it was just going to be the one that stepped forward who would attack but instead they just got the attention of the goblins and when they got close enough the other one jumped over the first one! decapitated a goblin in a single swing before immediately hiding behind the other one again who then draws the goblins back to her, they do this 6 times and kill all the goblins.


    Honestly I was hoping I could get them to fail and have me rescue them but they were surprisingly skilled in a fight and worked together in a way you can only do if you have repeatedly risked your life with the other watching your back, the first one to step forward acted as if they knew none would get close to her and the second one acted on every opening the first created, to be honest im not sure if I¡¯d be able to fight both of them at the same time but I could easily beat one of them on their own.

    After fighting the goblins we end up continuing the tour, and it seems like Virion has a more respectful attitude towards us, but it''s hard to tell as he was being respectful in the first place. Going through the town it¡¯s not all that big, it has just 84 people in it plus how ever many are in the noble district which has its own set of guards that was picked by the nobles, and locked off form the commoners.


    We go through town and learn about the basic layout of the town, and the path we will be patrolling. We spend most of the day learning and patrolling with Virion. When we finally get back to the barracks the sun is going down, so Virion shows us where we will be sleeping tells us we will be taking the first shift on that route in the morning and asks if we have any questions, not having any we acknowledge our work schedule and go to sleep.

 Chapter 3

    (Lily & Rose)


    It¡¯s been 5 days since we came to this new world we are finally starting to get into the rhythm of things, we patrol every morning starting right after the sun comes up and ending after 10 hours and getting the rest of the day off which we mostly spent familiarizing ourselves with the town and the elves that live here. Today is the day we go out for what everyone calls assisted leveling basically, from what we have been told everyone (all 5 of the guards including us) go into the forest to hunt monsters.


    We get assigned to a team with Virion who specializes in archery, we are then told to go patrol the forest and kill any monsters we can without dying ourselves. We talk with Virion and decide that Lily will focus on keeping them trying to attack her, while he kills them from afar and Rose kills them from melee range. With our strategy set he invites us to a party and we accept, we now see his HP and MP in the top left of our vision with our counterparts HP/MP underneath that and our own in the bottom middle slightly bigger.


    We then start walking through the forest we can tell he¡¯s more alert than either of us, he¡¯s always pointing out the monsters we walk with in sight of. The first monster we end up fighting was a rabbit with two horns on its head when we were fighting it we had Lily distract it as Virion shot at it and Rose attacked it with her longsword. We ended up killing it fairly quickly moving on in the forest we fight quite a few monsters killing most things with minimal effort but there are a few close scraps.


    As we are sitting down near a lake taking a break from hunting monsters we hear the thunderous steps of a four legged creature running straight towards us, we jump into position with Lily standing closest to where the creature sounds to be coming from, Rose right behind her and Virion standing 30 ft behind that. We wait ready to attack whatever comes out of the forest, Virion has his bow drawn, LIly has her shield raised and Rose sets down her shield still wearing the chain armor provided, using her sword in her left hand and Lily¡¯s in her right.


    When the creature comes out of the forest we see a giant lizard easily 20 ft from end to end with scales that are a deep forest green almost blending perfectly into the background if it wasn¡¯t for the golden crown seemingly made of its scales growing straight out of its head we wouldn¡¯t have even seen it. The first thing that happened when it emerged was Virion shooting it with his bow then calling out, ¡°It¡¯s a fucking Basilisk, don¡¯t look into its eyes!¡± as he says this out of the corner of our eyes we see him look away. But his warning fell on our ears just to late as Lily was already staring it down and Rose jumped to attack it swinging both swords in a storm of steel throwing sparks in all directions with thunderous clashes of metal hitting metal, barely managing to draw blood by sheer luck of hitting it in its softer underbelly when its attention was diverted to Lily. Lily taunts it again as we feel a crushing force demanding we submit hitting our minds, but is repealed by a feeling of familiarity as we fight together. The storm of attacks from Rose barely inflicting damage to the Basilisk but in return it can barely get a scratch in on Lily who is intercepting the attacks from it with her shield to prevent her sister from coming to harm, but as Lily gets scratched we see a message appear in front of both of us:


    ¡®-10 HP status effect applied Poisoned: affect -10 HP every 5 seconds¡¯ {Lilly}


    ¡®Do to being linked with Lily Asyun Fortuna you have lost 10 HP¡¯ {Rose}


    We feel a pure burning pain rampaging through both of our bodies, slowing us both down to the point that we can barely keep up with this thing Rose continues her storm of attacks but not hitting as many or attacking as quickly, we quickly slow even farther until we get to the point our moves can¡¯t keep up with the creature, we would need a miracle to survive.


    As we are about to give up we see an arrow pierce one of the creatures eyes causing it to recoil we see this as our only opportunity to attack we both attack with everything we have Lily slamming her shield into the exposed underbelly and Rose once more becoming a storm this time cutting the inner thighs of the creature causing it to fall onto its back giving us the time we need to attack it again and this time we manage to cut it open and then keep cutting and bashing it far past the point it¡¯s dead we keep going pushing through the burning pain until we simply can''t and pass out.


    When we awake we are back in the barracks, we see Virion sitting down up to a table seemingly staring off into space. He¡¯s probably checking his status we should do the same so we both are about to pull up our status we see a series of notifications:

    We ended up taking 90 damage each from the basilisk poison which and after we took 80 from it we got a notification saying we fell unconscious. We also got a notification saying:

    We stare at the screens that appear in front of us for a solid 5 minutes before Virion walks over and says, ¡°Well that was damn terrifying I¡¯ve never seen anyone fight with strikes that quick or anyone able to predict the moves of a basilisk quick enough to block for someone else, not to mention staring into the eyes of a Raid tier Basilisk and not being overcome by its abilitie to turn you to stone. Just who are you two to be able to fight like that? From what I saw only one of you were hit by it why did both of you collapse at the same time? Ah sorry probably a bit personal.¡±


    ¡°Well your right that was damn terrifying but i''m not sure about our skill in battle we were simply reacting to what it did.¡±  We reply.


    He looks at us then says ¡°Well whatever you say, but thanks to you I have finally managed to get into the second tier of classes, that 5,000 EXP was the boost I needed to get past level 10.¡±


    After he says this the commander comes into the room and looks at us before saying, ¡°Well I¡¯ll be damned, you returned to the land of the living! My wife said you would but I find it hard to believe that people affected by basilisk poison could so easily wake up, from what Virion tells me the two of you killed a Raid tier Basilisk by yourselves, I knew you would make good guards but I never thought two swordsmen could kill something like that.¡±


    He said two swordsmen does that mean he doesn''t know of our other class? Or is he just pretending?


    Speaking of our other class we haven''t learned anything about magic, we should try that soon.


    After seeing us lost in thought the commander walks away.


    We stand up and walk over to Virion and say, ¡°Where do you suggest we go to learn magic?¡±


    He starts laughing and says, ¡°With your combat skills, there''s now way either of you is a mage.¡±


    ¡°Hey we are serious we both have the Swordsmen and Apprentice classes but we haven''t done anything with magic yet.¡±


    He looks at us stunned before saying, ¡°You both have both Swordsmen and Apprentice? Swordsmen at least seeing you fight makes since, but having two classes, that''s not possible, even if it was having the Apprentice class without knowing magic that''s just hilarious. But if you really do have the Apprentice class well there''s a Guild of mages not to far from here, but they require you to be able to prove that your a form of magic user to get in.¡±


    ¡°Well for someone claiming to not believe us, you sure did give us a lot of information. Thank you.¡±


    ¡°Yeah, yeah well you guys saved my life so if you want information on a mage guild I figured I could at least tell you what I know, oh and if you really can learn magic maybe go to my sister Vanya, she is the only Arcane magic user that lives in this town. If you want, I can show you where she works and you can try to convince her to teach you.¡±


    ¡°Thanks, Virion we appreciate it.¡±

 Chapter 4

    (Lily & Rose)


    After we were free for the day we followed Virion to where his sister works, which we find out when we get there to be a library. One of the largest buildings in the town it is built into (grown into?) a giant tree with magical lights floating around seeming to follow an outlined path, it¡¯s easily over 200 ft on the outside.


    Following Virion in we see a library which seems to be more of a labyrinth of books then an organized library when we get to the point we cant see the exit, Virion turns to us and says, ¡°Well good luck. My sister told me to bring you in and have you make your way through the library on your own she said if you could do that then she would allow you to study under her.¡± as he says this he turns and leaves quicker than our eyes can follow.


    We just got left in a library without knowing the way through to where we need to go. What do we need to do? We are here to learn magic, in order to do that we need to make it through the labyrinth of books, we have 3 paths we could go we now one of them leads to the entrance and the other two we haven¡¯t explored or been able to infer what is beyond.


    ¡°Lily?¡±


    ¡°Yeah?¡±


    ¡°Thinking the same?¡±


    ¡°definitely.¡±


    ¡°Then.¡±


    ¡°Together.¡±


    ¡°And?¡±


    ¡°Left.¡±


    We decided to head left, after walking for about 30 minutes we get to another crossroad and the scenery changes instead of looking like a library back on earth it changes to be more like a shadow of what it was the lights dim and everything else goes dark, and the pathways are barred by vines growing in, we see a sign which is the only place that light is still shining on, the sign reads:


    ¡®Something tragic happened 19 years ago in this place. Find out what, and you can restore the light, fail and embrace the dark.¡¯


    Something tragic? Hmm we could probably figure this out if we had somewhere to research its a good thing we are in a library, but that might not help with how little light there is, wait we can still see? Ok lets start.


    ¡°Left.¡±


    ¡°Right.¡±


    Lilly goes to the bookshelf on the left and starts looking for a book that would have information on something tragic from 19 years ago.


    While Rose goes to the right and does the same.


    We both skim through all the books that could have a tragic event from 19 years ago spending no more than 15 minutes on each book unless it has something promising in it. After spending around eight hours on it we both finished skimming all the books, we then read the books that were more promising in more depth, in the end, Lily finds that the town of Thistle Bane was invaded by a force of humans. While Rose finds that after that siege the elves lost use of all magic, it barely coming back in the last 3 years. We walk over to the sign and looked for a place to answer deciding that we would combine them into one answer: ¡®Do to the invasion by humans, the elves have lost their ties to magic which are only just coming back.¡¯


    When we put that on the sign the world lights back up, the lights regaining there brilliant shine the vines growing into doors instead of walls, the shadows recede vanquished by the light. Allowing us to see well actually it doesn''t really change anything with our vision. We keep going, following the path to the left.


    After walking for what feels like 3 hours we come to a space more open than any other we have seen in this labyrinth of books. With a desk that looks similar to a receptionist desk and siting there is a human? Elf? She looks young at most 19 years old.     ¡°Hello, welcome to the Library of Magic and Memories what can I do for you?¡± the girl called out.


    ¡°We are here to learn magic from, Virions sister. Is that you?¡±


    ¡°Yes that is me but I would prefer if you called me by my name.¡±


    ¡°Sorry about that Vanya.¡±


    (Vanya)


    Today is the day my brother said he was going to bring a pair of guards to the library, he said they claim to have the Apprentice class even though they say they don''t know any magic, but he is bringing them because they saved his life.


    It¡¯s a valid reason for him to bring them but are they really going to be able to make it through the Labyrinth? It¡¯s a rather simple thing for every question you get wrong you need to answer two correct (one more question) you start only needing to answer one question, the first question is one that none has ever gotten right. The least number of questions any one had to answer was 4. The first question requires you to take two answers and combine them even the best that has come through failed to get this right by picking one of the answers not both.


    Ah no need to reminisce about the past I need to prepare for if they do make it, I still have to get the crystals out of the storage place and everything else preparing the entrance test and everything just incase they do make it through the labyrinth.


    Oh they got here my brother leads them in and then walks out. Just looking at them with my ¡®Glass Mirror¡¯ skill I can tell they are beautiful even for elven standards, they both have silver hair with streaks of gold, one of them has a left eye of silver and a right eye of gold, the other has the opposite a left eye of gold and a right eye of silver, both of them are wearing the standard issue gear I see my brother in almost every time he visits. Yeah this is definitely a joke there is no way anyone that beautiful could match the stories he told me one standing with a shield who feels more terrifying than any creature has any right to feel even without attacking or even looking in there direction, and a second standing in the firsts shadow not moving until the first opens the enemy up for an attack, but when they attack if you blink you¡¯d miss it swords quicker then lighting, even if you see them they don''t feel as terrifying as they should almost like the other lowers your perception of the real threat and increases how much of a threat you find her.


    After he left they started looking around then had a conversation fairly singlewordedly:


    ¡°Lily?¡±


    ¡°Yeah?¡±


    ¡°Thinking the same?¡±


    ¡°definitely.¡±


    ¡°Then.¡±


    ¡°Together.¡±


    ¡°And?¡±


    ¡°Left.¡±


    Before heading left. This is where I knew they were going to fail the left is the path that has the most varied questions but the first question is the same as all the others:

    They are new to town from what my brother said so they shouldn''t know any possible answers and need to study which will take them time, reading through whole books is time consuming when you''re looking for particular things. Well they could skim through books but then they might miss something and I doubt they would be willing to risk something like that.


    They get to the first question and both of them read it before one of them calls out left and the other says right, and they start going through the books starting on their respective side of the room. They spend around 10 minutes on each book and end up taking well over nine hours. And I thought they were going to be impressive but they end up spending more time on the first question then anyone else has spent on the first 2 questions combined.


    After all this time they look at each other like they just came to an understanding and one of them, the one with a left eye of silver, walks up and writes on the bored:


    ¡°Do to the invasion by humans, the elves have lost their ties to magic which are only just coming back.¡±


    As I read that im impressed and terrified, they got the first question right on their first try something that I failed to do, and could only answer correctly after 4 tries. They then continued to follow the lights going left when they can. They finished the labyrinth in 10 hours when the next quickest person spent over 20 hours.


    When they get to the core room which I am in, they ask if im Virions sister and say that they are here to learn magic from me. After telling them that my name is Vanya and that I am Virions sister I ask them,


    ¡°What do you wish to be able to accomplish with your magic?¡±

    What we want to accomplish with our magic? That should be easy either defeat our foes or no that''s not right what do we want to do? Magic is something that we could have only dreamed of having a week ago and now its seeming more and more like a possibility but do we really know what we want to use it for? We are already more skilled in combat than we thought was possible back on earth. Magic could do anything we could use it to fight but that seems like an insult to something that should be used to help magic might be able to kill but that can''t be it''s only use can it? We should be able to heal the sick and wounded, build things otherwise impossible, improve life as a whole. We want to help the world grow we want to help it be safe.


    ¡°We want to use magic for the betterment of everyone, we want to wield magic in a way to save lives not take them, we want to be able to help.¡±
