《Aruna》


 Prologue

    In the world of Aruna, where¡¯s magic and other creature which¡¯s exist only in fairytales. Almost all people are blessed with magic powers, while there are some normal people who are not blessed with magic. Because of that, there¡¯s discrimation to people who dont have magic. But they have power to create something great even without magic. One of them is Silvia Viese. She is the one who make Gaia Core, a power source that can animate an non-living being. Because her discovery was very dangerous, Silvia went with her son to a place called Eden, to protect her family.


    Eden is human border which¡¯s located between the human and mythical creatures reign . Silvia and her son lived there to run from those who pursue her to get the Gaia Core. Because of the environment they live in is very dangerous, Silvia plans to make a doll that is similar to a human girl to protect her son.


    But, before it is finished, their existence was already known by the Harmony. Harmony is a dark organization created by people who have magic abilities to find high-level technologies that are worthy.


    Hearing this, Silvia told her son to play outside while she remained in their homes. Few minutes later, two people came into her sight. Seeing the two strangers heading to her house, Silvia rushed to enhance her doll. Shortly when she want to insert Gaia Core into the doll that was made by her, there was a sound of breakthrough the door very loudly. After that, came two people wearing red robes and black. Then they open the door of Silvia laboratory room.


    "You can not escape again Silvia Viese." The red robe man said..


    "If you are looking for Gaia Core, I have destroyed it." Said Silvia.


    "I know you''re not going to destroy Gaia Core. Because you just insert it into the doll. "The black robe man said.


    Silvia was shocked to hear it.

    "Do not open that door!" Silvia said, trying to prevent people who wear black robes. But stopped by people who wear red robes.


    "Dont you dare!" Said the man who wear red robe.


    Then the door opened, a blonde beautiful girl that looks like a 17 years old. Shortly doll was in touch, then there¡¯s a girl sound..


    "Activating Self Defence mode." Said a voice from the doll.


    Suddenly there was a huge explosion which resulted Silvia homes destroyed. Her son that¡¯s still playing, see his house suddenly shattered. He was worried about his mother who was in the house and then he go home. When he was close to his home, he saw a blond woman with wings is protecting her mom from two strangers who wear robes.


    "I never thought Doctor Silvia Viese creation can be as good as this." Said one of the stranger.


    He was aware there was a small child see where they are.


    "Looks like this is enough. Let''s go back to headquarters. "


    Suddenly behind them there is a black hole and suddenly they disappeared. After that, the girl who protect his mother fell and her wings just disappeared.


    "Mama!" Cried his son as he ran towards his mother.


    "Oh, you''re home Loki. Mom just too tired right now. " Said Silvia.


    "What do you mean mama?" Asked Loki


    "The girl who protect mama is your new friend. Her name Aegis and she will always protect you whenever you need it. Mama would take a nap for awhile. "Silvia said that slowly closes his eyes.


    Silvia Viese eventually died, while his son Loki can not say anything to see his mother rest in peace. News of the death of Silvia Viese was spread quickly that make scientists in Aruna was shocked. After burying his mother in addition to their home, Loki went with a female doll that can move on its own without the use of magic. No one knows where they went.

 Volume 1 chapter 1 - Meeting with Stranger

    Seven years later, there was a rapid change in the world of Aruna. After Silvia Viese died, people who don¡¯t have magic abilities are considered useless and finally got thrown from the community. Therefore, people who do not have a magic ability hide from big cities.


    But, there is a town named Intrivium. A place where almost all of the population are not magic users and most of the inhabitants are engineers. However there are still some people who have a magic ability, but they do not suffer from discrimination. In fact, they coexist and cooperate. One day at the main gates of the city, two people are standing outside the city.


    "Aegis, where are we?" Asked the black-haired man.


    "It seems that we have arrived in the Intrivium city. A place where  Engineers and Scientists live, master.¡± Replied the blond woman next to him.


    "Thank you, Aegis. Let''s go. "Said the man.


    "Yes, master." Replied the stoic woman.


    They went into the city. They see people doing their jobs. After touring, they found a simple inn inscribed Mary''s Inn. They walked into the inn and went to the front desk to rent a room. They also met with the head of the inn and talk about what kind of rooms were available. Suddenly, he heard the sound of explosions and rumbling.


    "Cecilia! If you want to do your experiment, don¡¯t do it in the inn again! Do you understand?! " Shouted the head of the inn.


    "Hmm, one of the of the residents here?" Asked the man.


    "Sorry about that, she¡¯s one of the residents here but she likes to make a mess around here. Please understand. " Said the head of the inn.


    "Oh, it''s okay.¡±


    ¡°So, what can I do for you, sir ?¡± Said the head of the inn


    ¡°Hmm, I want to rent one room for me and my sister," Said the man.


    "Yes, Mr..." said the head of the inn while looking at the book checked in "Smith." She continued


    Finally, the head of the inn showed the room to Mr. Smith. After they arrived, another explosion was heard.


    "Cecilia! If I hear another explosion, I¡¯m gonna raise your rent!" Cried the head of the inn.


    "Sorry about that, let''s head to your room, Mr. Smith." Said the head of the inn.


    "Thank you, madam ..." said Smith.


    "Maria, call me Mrs. Maria." Said the head of the inn.


    "Well, Mrs. Maria," Smith said with a kind smile and then entered the room and closed the door. Smith was finally lying on the bed.


    "Finally we can rest huh Aegis." Said Smith.


    "Master, why are you lying about your own name?" Asked Aegis.


    "If people know that I am the son of Silvia Viese there would be an uproar. Therefore, it is better to keep it a secret. For now, we better take a break "said Loki.


    "Yes, master." Said Aegis.


    They were resting quietly in the room. But when they¡¯re about to close their eyes, another explosion can be heard in the next room. Loki woke up with annoyance.


    "What the heck is she doing?" Loki said with exasperation.


    "Do you want me to take care of it master?" Asked Aegis.


    "Better not, because our identities could be revealed," Loki replied.


    "Very well." Said Aegis.


    Loki woke up from the bed and went out of his room while Aegis remain in the room. Then he knocked on the door next to his room. Suddenly, smoke coming out from the bottom of the door. After the smoke finally stops, the door was opened by the occupant. There¡¯s a little girl with long gray hair opened the door.


    "What are you doing here, if you don¡¯t have any important business you better go!" Said the girl.

    "I just want to know what are you doing to produce all these smokes," Loki asked.


    "And you are?" Asked the girl.


    "Just call me Smith, a new resident here," Loki said quietly.


    "Ohhh!" Said the girl and suddenly shut the door.


    Pissed-off because he felt tricked, Loki knocked on the door again.


    "You again! What are you doing here? "The girl said


    "Hey, be polite to those who are older than you! And what the hell are you doing? "Asked Loki.


    "Errrm, what I''m doing is none of your business, understand ?! "the girl replied.


    "Then it''s okay if I go in right?" Said Loki who forced his way into the girl room.


    "Hey, don''t barge into people¡¯s room!" She cried.


    Loki saw that the room is more like a chicken coop. He also noticed a few empty bottles scattered around.


    ''An alchemist huh?'' thought Loki.


    He also saw a bottle that still contains liquids in it.


    "Hey, what do you want to make?" Said Loki.


    "Huh, do you even know what I¡¯m doing??" Said the girl.


    "If you want to make a healing potion, don¡¯t put the fire essence into the pot, it causes an explosion if you fuse an unsuitable composition. "


    The girl was silent and then she said "You understand Alchemy?".


    "Just a little. My mother taught some things about alchemy." Loki replied.


    Then Loki taught her how to make healing potions correctly. After that, she was doing what was said by Loki and it worked.


    "Wow, thank you very much. It took weeks for me to make this healing potion " said the girl in awe.


    ''Healing potions are easy to make, but it took her weeks to make one?'' Thought Loki.


    "I''m sorry if I was being rude to you. Oh yes, my name is Cecilia Helmond, a wanna be talented Alchemist like Silvia Viese!" Said the girl.


    Loki paused a while after hearing his mother''s name, and then he asked "Why do you want to be like Silvia Viese?".


    "Isn¡¯t it obvious? She is an amazing woman who doesn¡¯t use magic and she¡¯s the most respected alchemist in Aruna."Said Cecilia.


    "If your creation will make someone you love disappear, it¡¯s useless,¡± Loki said coldly.


    "But..." with a sad smile on her face, Cecilia continued  "If your creation can protect someone precious in your eyes, wouldn¡¯t it be incredible?".


    After hearing her words, Loki realized that if his mother did not create Aegis, he would die in the first place.


    "Did my words hurt you, Mr. Smith?" Asked Cecilia who saw his sad face.


    "I''m fine." Said Loki.


    When they were talking, Aegis heard their conversation. She saw Loki''s sad look and she decided to barge into Cecilia''s room.


    ¡°What did you do to my master!¡± Said Aegis in a deadly tone


    ¡°What the hell is wrong with people these days! Don''t barge into people¡¯s room!¡±


    "Wait Aegis, she didn¡¯t do anything." Said Loki while holding Aegis.


    But Aegis didn¡¯t listen to her master¡¯s word, she easily passes Loki. After that, Aegis accidentally stepped on the bottle filled with the fire essence and an instant explosion happened in the room.


    Heard another blast, Mary the head inn screamed "Cecilia! I¡¯m doubling your rent! "


    Hearing the head inn screams. Loki with a pale face said


    "Aegis what have you done ..."


    "I''m sorry Master. I didn¡¯t mean it." Aegis said in a guilty tone


    "Forgive my sister, Cecilia. She¡¯s too overprotective towards me. I¡¯ll pay for your doubled rent." Loki said.


    "No, it''s okay. I''ve been threatened many times by the head of the inn, but she still hasn¡¯t raised my rent." Cecilia said.


    "Either she¡¯s a really good person or she¡¯s very close to you," Loki said.


    "Actually, she¡¯s like a mother to me. She took care of me since I was a child, therefore I want to make her happy and became a famous Alchemist. "Cecilia said with a smile and then he added,


    "Even though I destroyed some of the room¡­¡±


    Loki and Aegis didn¡¯t say anything. After that, they both leave to return to their rooms. When they want to get out of the room, Cecilia suddenly said "Can you help me again?".


    "Do not worry, we''ll help you if you need help." Said Loki then went from room Cecilia.


    When they left, Cecilia saw a mark around Aegis''s hand.


    ''Isn¡¯t that the mark that Silvia Viese uses to make robots?'' thought Cecilia.


    After the door closed, Cecilia said, "Probably it''s just my imagination."


    Loki and Aegis went back to their room. After the door was closed, Loki remembered the words Cecilia said and he asked "Aegis, do you think mother creates Gaia Core to protect me?¡±


    "Master Silvia just told me to always be on your side, master Loki" Aegis reply.


    "I see." Said Loki then immediately lay down on the bed and he said again "Let''s rest for now Aegis."


    ¡°Yes Master,¡± said Aegis


    After that, Loki rests on his bed while Aegis maintained to protect his master.

 Volume 1 chapter 2 - Summoner at human town

    The next day, Loki was sleeping on his bed but suddenly there was an explosion loud enough to awake Loki.


    "What was that just now!" Said Loki completely shocked.


    "Oh, master you¡¯re awake. It was just an explosion from Helmond Cecilia''s room. " Aegis said calmly.


    ¡®She still makes an explosion after what I taught her yesterday.'' Thought Loki.


    Loki was looking around the room, recalling the days when his house hasn¡¯t been destroyed. While Loki was still remembering his past, Aegis approached Loki while holding a paper in her hand.


    "Master, you are given something by the Head Inn," Aegis said as he showed the paper to Loki.


    Loki turned to Aegis and hummed curiously. He then picks up the paper and read it afterward.


    "It seems that we have to go out to shop," said Loki to Aegis.


    Aegis, without realizing it, felt a little happy.


    They both then prepared to the place indicated on the paper provided by Aegis. When they were out of the room, they met Cecilia. Cecilia who saw Loki holding a paper that is not foreign to her immediately ask him.


    "Mr. Smith, do you want to go shopping, right?" Asked Cecilia.


    "Yes, do you want to come?"


    "Oh, not really. can you buy a fire essence for me? All of my stock ran out."


    ''She still has not learned too'' thought Loki.


    "Yes, I¡¯ll probably buy it if the money was given enough." Said Loki.


    They both then said goodbye to Cecilia and continued on his way out of the inn. When they were going, there is a piece of paper taped to the door. The paper says ''Do not worry about the money that I gave was enough to buy the items requested by Cecilia. Maria''


    "What?" Loki was surprised when he saw the paper wrote about Cecilia requesting some items.


    "Hmm, master. let''s go." Said Aegis


    "Oh, all right," said Loki and they both finally went to the store designated on the paper.


    Soon, they arrived at the store where they were going, then they immediately bought the goods on the list and not to mention the Fire Essence that Cecilia requested. After buying all the items on the shopping list they went back to the inn. On the way, they saw a brown long-haired woman wearing a bright white dress as she running around aimlessly.


    She then approached Loki and asked, "Excuse me, sir. do you know the location of this place?" While showing her papers.


    Loki also sees the paper, ''Is not this our inn?'' Loki thought and said, "We were want to go there."


    "If you do not mind. Would you escort me there? "Said the woman.


    "No problem," said Loki with ease.


    The three of them went together to the inn. During the trip, Aegis heard a strange voice, "Hey ugly human! Stay away! "Said the mysterious voice.


    Even though Aegis heard it, she ignored this because she doesn¡¯t want to annoy her master. But the mysterious voice was heard once again and made Aegis upset then she said, "Show your face now!"


    "Aegis, what''s up?" Loki was surprised seeing Aegis suddenly shouted.


    "Oh, nothing, master." Aegis response.


    "Wow, bad aunty was asked by an ugly man." Said the mysterious voice.


    "Ok, that''s enough! I know you''re in there! "Aegis said as he showed his finger toward the bag that was brought to her.


    The mood becomes weird when Aegis shows her finger to a purse that Helga held.


    "Hmm, Aegis you okay?"Loki is concerned. Before Aegis answered Loki.

    The mysterious voice was heard again.


    "Hohoho, so you know where I was. You pass" and then suddenly something jumps out of the woman''s purse.


    "Luke don''t come out." whispered the woman.


    Aegis was immediately ready to fight after something jumps out of her purse. But Aegis''s face looked disappointed after knowing who¡¯s the one that bad-mouthing his master.


    "Surely you¡¯re surprised by my form!" Said the mysterious voice, laughing boastfully.


    It turned out it just a little white cat who has wings on his back. After the cat appeared, Loki was able to see him as well. But the moment he wanted to touch the cat, Aegis had kicked him so hard that he flew.


    "Luke, Nooo!!." She cried when she saw the cat was thrown into the sky.


    The mood was becoming very strange. A moment later, the cat was back.


    "Mistress!" Said the cat was crying hard.


    She then hugged her cat that was crying nonstop. After they finished their business. Aegis and the cat finally explained what they were doing just now.


    "I¡¯m sorry, my cat tends to do that when he sees any stranger." Said the woman.


    "Wait a minute, your cat can speak human language?" Loki asked, surprised.


    "Well, that.." before she said something, his cat immediately said, "I am Luke, a cat that  has been summoned by Mrs. Chevalier."


    ''So she was a summoner.'' Thought Loki.


    "Forgive me, mistress Chevalier," said Aegis politely.


    "True. It¡¯s your fault, bad aunty!" Luke said.


    "You want to get kicked again?" Said Aegis.


    "Both of you please don¡¯t fight again. Forgive my sister, mistress Chevalier, "said Loki to Aegis and Luke. Even though both of them still glare at each other.


    "Please, don¡¯t call me mistress. My name¡¯s Helga Chevalier and this cat''s name is Luke Chevalier. "The woman said that while holding her cat.


    "Nice to meet you, Helga. Just call me Smith and the woman next to me is my sister Aegis," said Loki who lied about his identity.


    "Nice to meet you all," Helga said with a smile.


    They finally proceeded to the inn while Luke and Aegis are still glaring at each other. After a while, they finally reached their destination. Both of them said goodbye but Loki and Aegis went to the inn first.


    Luke then jumped to Helga''s shoulder and asked, "Why that aunty can see me, mistress. Not only that she can hear me, she knows where I hide."


    "I don¡¯t know Luke. it was supposed to be only me and other higher summoner that can see you," said Helga looks confused for an answer.


    Luke then goes back hiding in Helga¡¯s purse. After that, they went into the inn and met with Maria who was sitting behind the reception desk. She then also gave a letter to Maria.


    "So, you¡¯re the helper that sent by the Association of Summoner. You look very young to accept this assignment, " said Maria, looking at the letter.


    "Yes, true. Even so, I''ve been trained by the head of the association itself. "Helga said politely.


    "I understand. Please rest first, we''ve already prepared a room for you," said Helga.


    Maria then escorted her to her room.


    "Also, if there is any explosion." Suddenly heard an explosion shortly Maria say about the explosion "... like that. please don¡¯t panic". Luke jumped out hearing that.


    Helga then embraced Luke that still frightened. After that, they went straight to the room.


    "Pardon us if our room is very simple for you," said Maria as she bows her head.


    "It''s okay, and please don¡¯t treat me as someone special. I am merely doing my duty," said Helga.


    "I understand. All right, have a good time here, " said Maria then close the door.


    After that, Helga walked to the window and looked around the room, and then she asked with a sad face "Luke, my decision is right, no?"


    "Whatever your decision is, mistress, Luke will always support it," said Luke while flying in front of her.


    On the other hand, Loki and Aegis leave their items to Cecilia. there¡¯s so much dangerous-looking stuff from Cecilia''s room.


    "Why did you request all of this stuff ?" Asked Loki to Cecilia.


    "It''s a secret." Said Cecilia with a cutesy tone.


    "Don¡¯t tell me that you want to make a rocket of mass destruction." Joked Loki.


    "Of course not, do you think I can make something like that?" Asked Cecilia with a high tone.


    "Then that explosion ?" Said Loki.


    "I-it''s just simply a mistake. It¡¯s not like I¡¯m doing it on purpose! "Cecilia cried when Loki said that.


    "If you say so," said Loki even though he doesn¡¯t believe it.


    After that, Cecilia mixed all of the ingredients that were given to her. She then asked Loki and Aegis to leave her. ¡°Do not want to make anything more dangerous.¡± Loki then left Cecilia¡®s room and was followed by Aegis. Afterward, Loki saw Maria bringing some food to a room in front of his place. but Loki ignored her and rested in his room.


    On the other hand, Helga was sitting at the window with Luke in her lap. Then she heard the sound of the knock on the door and then the door was opened. She turned toward the door and saw Maria brought some food.


    "I told you. Treat me like the others. " Helga said with a high tone.


    "Take it easy. The other also receive dinner " said Maria, putting food on the table.


    Then went to say "Why do they send one of the successors from five nobility to help us."


    Helga looked surprised upon hearing it and asked "How do you know?"


    "Your cat. Although I can¡¯t see clearly, I see the family seal of Theodore in his stomach," said Maria.


    Hearing this, Luke worried. Helga kept silent.


    Maria continue her speak "You don¡¯t have to worry. I will not tell anyone. But be careful, since hearing the name of Theodore of the five aristocratic families will make everyone terrified. "


    ¡°Please pardon my words. I will just leave.¡± Maria then left the room.


    "Don¡¯t worry Mistress. I will protect you from anyone who dares to hurt you," said Luke who¡¯s trying to entertain Helga. Helga could only smile, and finally, they rest in their rooms.

 Volume 1 - Chapter 3 - Defender of the City

    ¡°Booom!!¡±


    Like every morning in this inn, there was a sound of explosions in the morning that awoke all the occupants. And of course, Loki and Aegis were not surprised to hear it again because it was almost like a daily basis to hear it at least once in the morning. At the same time, he could hear a woman screaming. Curiosity strikes him, Loki decided to check it out to see where the sound was coming from. Just as he opened up his door room, he could already see Helga lying on the floor while her room was opened.


    Loki approached her, "Are you alright?"


    "I¡¯m okay. I am just surprised when Luke suddenly jumped on my face.¡° Helga said while holding her head.


    "That explains it. Hmm, where''s Luke?" Loki asked while looking around her room, then he saw Luke shaking under the bed, murmuring.


    Aegis called Loki to eat breakfast with her but then she saw her master sitting alone in a room with a woman.


    "Master, I never thought you would be this daring."


    Aegis dragged Loki out of the room immediately. After Loki and Aegis left, Helga consoled Luke who was still shaking under her bed.


    "It''s okay, Luke. The explosion already stopped. Let''s go search for breakfast." Helga said with a relaxed smile


    On the other hand, Maria was talking with a man in a black suit in some room that looks like a guest room.


    "Is the support from Association of Summoner coming?" said the man with a straight face.


    "She¡¯s already resting in my inn. Even though she looks like a total newbie but I can see that she''s really talented," Maria said while enjoying her morning coffee.


    "I¡¯m sure you''re not coming here just to say this right?" she said with a serious tone.


    The man can''t hide it when Maria said with a face that he always remembered.


    "Our captain wants to talk to you again this afternoon."


    "He really is hardheaded, huh? Tell your captain that I will send him my messenger."


    "But-" as the man said that Maria glared at him constantly, even leaked her aura accidentally.


    "I understand." He then immediately left the guest room.


    "We will always be waiting for you to command us again, commander," said the man as he opened the door and leave.


    Maria was still sitting in the guest room enjoying her morning coffee.


    "He really doesn¡¯t know how to give up, huh?"


    After she was done drinking her coffee, she decided to go back to work again just like what she always does nowadays. The moment she opened the door, she saw both Helga and Smith followed by her sister that looks like they want to go out somewhere.


    "What a coincidence, can both of you accompany Cecilia to City Defense headquarters?"


    "Okay, I will help," Helga said in a full manner


    "Sorry, but I need to decline that. Both I and my sister still haven¡¯t eaten breakfast yet." Loki said.


    "That means you can help, right?"


    "I suppose." Loki was thinking for a second before he said that.


    "Great. Also, don¡¯t worry about the reward. I¡¯m always thankful to someone who helps me."


    "Let''s meet up at the inn again then Mr. Smith." Helga then left the inn first with Luke flying behind her.


    Loki just waved her followed by Aegis mimicking him.


    "Time to go as well, sis," Loki said finishing their breakfast


    Aegis answered with a nod.


    Then they left the inn, leaving Maria standing in the Lobby inn. After some time, Maria saw Loki and his sister back at the inn again. looking content with their breakfast, and kept silent.


    "Master, why did you agree to help her?" Aegis whispered to Loki so no one could hear it.


    "It was my hunch, probably we will get information related to my mother there."


    Both of them then went to Cecilia''s room. As soon Loki was in front of the room, Helga came with Luke walking by her side


    "Did you wait long?" Helga said with Luke inside her bag.


    "We just arrived. I¡¯m gonna call Cecilia then."


    Loki walked up to Cecilia¡¯s room and knocked on the door.


    "Who and what do you want from me?" It took a while but Cecilia finally answered.


    "It¡¯s Smith. Head inn told me that you need to go to City Defense Headquarter."


    "City Defense Headquarter you say? give me a moment." Loki and Helga can hear chaotic noises inside the room.


    After the noises stopped, the door soon opened. There they could see Cecilia wearing a pink dress while carrying her little bag.


    "Okay, I¡¯m ready."


    Loki took a moment to see how Cecilia looked like.


    "Sorry. Wrong room." Loki immediately closed the door.


    Cecilia immediately opened the door again and smacked him in the head.


    "You can be more respectful, you know."


    Aegis suddenly reacted to that but Helga saw it stop her.


    "He deserved it, Aegis."


    Even though Aegis couldn¡¯t understand what Helga mean by that but she instinctively knew that her master was wrong.


    "Sorry, but I never know someone who always makes an explosion can be this cute."


    "I still haven¡¯t forgiven you, you know." Cecilia''s face was kinda red when saying that.


    "Let us go then we already late here."


    A moment Cecilia walked, see


    "Wait, I¡¯ve never seen you before. Who are you?"


    "My apologies, my name is Helga Chevalier. I¡¯m the new occupant. Nice to meet you, Mrs. Cecilia."


    "Y-you don¡¯t need to add Mrs, just call me Cecilia instead." her face was red because it was the first time someone called her Mrs.


    "Anyway, Smith is right. Let us go before my mother is angry."


    Cecilia was back to her high spirit again and walked out first while Loki and Helga followed her afterward. Before they left the inn, Maria gave an envelope and then said farewell to her.


    During the trip to City Defense Headquarters, Cecilia keeps staring at Helga.


    "Hmm? What''s wrong Cecilia."

Please reincarnate Blood Salamander.¡±  someone with a red cloak said and a big magic circle then suddenly puddle of blood filled the magic circle. Soon all the blood becomes something that resembles a salamander.


    ¡°So you¡¯re the legendary red rose knight.¡± the girl said.


    ¡°Let us end their misery.¡± someone with a red cloak said then both of them march with their summon to the Intrivium City.


    Meanwhile, Loki and the other finally came back to the inn. Each of them immediately rests in their room. Loki already sleeps soundly but Aegis still standby beside him because she feels something bad would happen soon.

 Volume 1 Chapter 4 - Dragons and Behemoths

    Early morning after Loki and his friend rested, suddenly there was a tremor that shook the whole room, and soon there was an explosion sound. Because of that Loki woke up from his sleep.


    ¡°Cecilia! Is this what your doing again? It¡¯s 3 a.m you know.¡± Loki thought it was Cecilia who made that sound.


    ¡°That¡¯s not me alright.¡± Cecilia appeared after she opened the door to Loki''s room looking anxious.


    ¡°If it¡¯s not you then wh-¡± before Loki completed his sentence, there was another explosion.


    ¡°Is this Cecilia¡¯s doing again?¡± Helga said before she came out of her room.


    Helga looks surprised when she saw Cecilia and Loki while hugging Luke that seems scared.


    ¡°Wait, so it¡¯s not Cecilia who created the explosion?¡±

    Both of them then ran straight to the red dragon.

    As soon as she said that, there was a nonstop sound of a lightning strike on the south side of the town. But she couldn¡¯t see anything due to a really thick fog surrounding that area. Even though she wanted to go there, she saw Cecilia who still look scared and she chose to stay here for a moment.

    With her shaking leg, she tried her best to walk through the bodies and blood. The more she walked, the place looked more worrisome. When the elevator opened, she saw unconscious Uncle Mark and his head is bleeding near the elevator.

    Meanwhile, Loki and Aegis almost arrived at their destination. All the buildings that they could see already burned heavily and there was a constant wind keeping the fire lit. Aegis was really concerned about her master''s safety. Nonetheless, she trusted her master that he would be fine and she would protect him. Suddenly, there was a huge wind coming up from the sky. Loki then looked up and saw the exact red dragon from what he remembered.


    ¡°Finally, after seven years,¡± said Loki while took a serious look at how the red dragon looked like.


    ¡°Aegis battle mode activated!¡±


    ¡°Understood!¡± suddenly Aegis''s body shone brighter with green light, there was some kind of tattoo lines that lined up from her hand to her eyes. After that, green mechanical wings sprouted from her back. She then flew toward the red dragon to attack it. The red dragon responded with Flame Breath and all of Aegis¡¯s body was engulfed with it. But she kept fly toward the red dragon, and finally got out from the Flame Breath without any injury or burn.


    ¡°Energy Burst Cannon.¡± there was already concentrated energy in both Aegis hands.


    She immediately shot it at the red dragon. But the moment the red dragon got hit, it exploded into some red gas while Energy Burst Cannon kept flying through it. Aegis looked confused, but for a moment she could feel massive magic power somewhere around City Defense Headquarter. After that, she then floated toward her master to give info about it.


    ¡°I should have known this was a bait.¡± he looked bitter because his emotion got the better of him.


    ¡°Master, there¡¯s another powerful magic source near City Defense Headquarters. Do we need to check it?¡±

    ¡°Mistress be careful, I have a bad feeling about this nyaa,¡± said Luke

    Soon, she found a place with no mist or electric pulse. Felt this area is safe, she started dispelling her barrier. But the moment the barrier was gone, a bolt of lightning already tried to strike her. Thanks to Loki act fast, he nullifies the attack with his hand. Suddenly there was a big shadow wrapped their whole body.

    ¡°This voice!¡± Helga recognized this voice and immediately looked at where the sound came from. She saw a blue behemoth with a golden pattern all over its body standing in front of her. On the top of its head, Helga saw some girl with short hair while holding a staff.

    Helga didn¡¯t realize that there was a tremor in the sky.


    ¡°Thunder justice!¡± the short girl shouted out loud from the top of her behemoth head.


    There was a lot of lightning striking around her and started to attack her. But both Luke and Helga could withstand those lightning attacks.


    ¡°Diana, why do you attack me?¡± asked Helga while holding her ground with all the lightning strikes.


    ¡°Don¡¯t let your guard down mistress just because it''s Diana nyaa. I can feel there¡¯s something different with Diana nyaa,¡± said Luke while maintaining the barrier.


    ¡°Behemoth, ready for Earth Demolition.¡± Diana then jumped while holding her staff and then she hit the ground with her staff.


    ¡°Mist, come forth.¡±


    Suddenly a fog emerged from the bottom of the staff shrouding the entire field. Helga and Luke watched the fog became thicker until they couldn¡¯t see Diana and the behemoth.


    ¡°I have a bad feeling about this nyaa,¡± said Luke looked alert to his surrounding.


    But there was nothing happen, even the lightning stop attacking them. Suddenly Helga reminiscing about how her sister always mocked her because she always on the defensive every time they sparred with each other.


    ¡°Luke we need to attack Diana now!¡± said Helga in hurried.


    ¡°What is it nyaa?¡± asked Luke in confusion.


    Luke never saw that her mistress going for the offensive side. But this is because Helga remembered her sister talk to their teacher about her new spell. Unfortunately, the teacher got angered because the spell Diana was too dangerous. Diana didn¡¯t need a second to leave her teacher, Helga remembered she could see Diana''s frustrated face.


    Helga tried to locate Diana with her magic. The moment she found Diana, the mist cleared little by little until there was a huge shadow. It was the behemoth but this time the entire body was covered by thunder spark.


    ¡°You¡¯re late little sister.¡± every side of Diana''s body was covered by thunder spark while holding her staff.


    ¡°Heaven¡¯s Wrath, Earth Demolition!¡± Diana hit her staff to behemoth head.


    Behemoth¡¯s head started to glow and then all behemoth''s body started to shine really bright until it blinded Helga and Luke. Followed by an earthquake and the ground started to crack. Then from the beneath of cracked ground, there was some kind of electric spark sparkling continuously. Finally all the electric spark outbursted from the ground and it soared to the sky just like a lightning strike. The sky then responded with a lightning strike into the ground again.


    Loki and Aegis still on their way to Helga until they saw a pillar of lightning. Loki worried after saw that pillars of lightning kept happening continuously, both of them make haste to help Helga.
