《Wait, I Reincarnated as Ed Sheeran's Cousin AND I Have League of Legends System?》 Start of It All Ed and Edgar was sitting inside the house on a cloudy london day. Ed was genuinely bored but edgar seemed thinking about something and out of it. When Ed finally looked across the room and saw Edgar sitting in such deep thought he could not resist. '''' Are you contemplating your existence in the grand scheme of things or what? What are you thinking about so deeply.'''' Edgar snapped out of it immedeately after hearing Ed, turned to him and asked in a grave manner. '''' Yeah I was actually just thinking that, how the hell did you know?'''' Edgar was not actually Edgar. He was a new university graduate, at least before he died. He was an introvert who would not go outside if his friends did not insist and so he liked playing video games on his computer. He was an avid League of Legends fan and followed its pro scene for many years. He was hard stuck plat 4 on and honestly quite bad at the game. Of course his perception of himself was different. He would mostly blame his teammates for his defeats. As he was wasting his life not trying to think about the future and getting depressed, he suddenly had a heart attack. He never really excercised and smoke tons of cigarettes during his stressful attempt to climb the League ladder. If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. When he opened his eyes again he was an English boy at the age of 17 named Edgar. His new family was a small one consisting of his parents and a small sister whose name was Catherine. Although it seemed as his family was not that rich, they were fairly well fed and could be considered middle class. His father John was a lawyer in a small firm in West London while his mother Anne was an English teacher. When he opened his eyes again it took some time for Edgar to gather his thoughts and accept that he really reincarnated and was not dreaming. As he was trying to digest the memories of actual Edgar he looked in the mirror. Best Friends He was unsurprisingly ginger, his face had defined features, espescially his jawline, he only saw such jawlines on tv before. He was nothing like Ed apart from gingerness of course. Ed had the goofy features, a round face, big eyes and unchanging red cheeks. He was more on the attractive side if he might say himself. His height was going to be one of the hardest things to get used to in this body as he was 190 cm before he passed away but Edgar was only around 170 cm. Dwelling on this topic brought out a few tears in his eyes as he remembered his family. His parents were always supportive of him and loved him immensely. They always thought he would find a place in life and be happy. Getting rid of the recollection Edgar focused on the present. He was the cousin of Ed Sheeran. It was still mind boggling how that turned out. Apparently they basically grew up together, although they had different personalities, they were best friends. Ed obviously loved music and learned how to play guitar on his own while composing original songs and writing lyrics. Edgar on the other hand was more interested in video games. He was also a League of Legends fan and played almost everyday. It was 2015 and League of Legends professional scene started to show signs of what it would become in a few years. One of the first things Edgar noticed when he crosed to this world that he was reborn with a system. System introduced itself as simply League of Legends System. Edgar almost laughed out at the time not only because of the happiness of being reborn with a system but also because of the absurd name. System told Edgar that its only purpose was to train Edgar to be the best League of Legends player to ever touch the keyboard. He was ecstatic. He also had dreamt of going pro but unfortunately had no talent or really the dedication for it. While Edgar was comtemplating Ed was getting more and more worried as Edgar''s eyes were unfocused and he had a stupid smile going of on his face. Ed suddenly jumped up from his seat and said Stolen story; please report. '''' What the hell man. Get a grip of yourself, you look stupid with that grin on your face.'''' Edgard realized he had been dozing off for almost five minutes and said '''' Oh, sorry dude, I was just thinking about the game'''' ''''Why are you so obsessed with this game anyway? you said you werent even that high ranked, don''t you think you should find some other things to do? You could always come with me when I play songs outside.'''' '''' Don''t even suggest, I still don''t understand how you can be so energetic while singing in this god damn weather. And you know what? I think I figured out the game and will try to become professional player.'''' ''''You are kidding right? Why didn''t you figure it out before then? You said the game itself needed both skill and knowledge and now you say you had a sudden epiphany and figured it all out? I call that bullshit bro.'''' ''''Well you will eventually see it for yourself whether you believe it or not.'''' ''''Whatever, do what you want, it isn''t like I have the right to speak like a proper adult. I am trying to be a musician for fuck''s sake. People do not even stop and listen for a few seconds these days, everyone is just rushing through the day. '''' I believe in you mate, your talent is something else to be honest. You just have to grind your way through to top.'''' ''''Yeah, yeah whatever. I am going to my house, do not stay up too late. I am going to have the breakfast here and I WILL WAKE YOU UP if you are sleeping by then. ''''You are on annoying cunt did you know that?'''' ''''Hell yeah. Anyway see you tomorrow.'''' ''''Yeah, take care'''' When Ed left the house Edgar got up and headed to his room. He immediately sat down and opened his computer logging in to the game. First Game He opened the client and saw that his nickname was ''nothin'' but a G-thang''. He thought old Edgar whose body he now occupied was a hardcore Snoop Dogg fan. He impatiently opened ranked tab to see how he fared compared to the old Edgar. The account was Silver ll and he almost thought of creating a new one thinking that it was too low of a rank. The prospect of trying to climb out of Silver was an utter nightmare. Then he realized that getting a new account and getting it to level 30 was wearisome work and he didn''t feel like doing it. So he decided he''d keep this account and hope that a decent win streak would take him quickly out of Silver into the shining land of Gold players. He soon found himself queueing up as ADC in a ranked game and grinding for some precious LP that''d take him out of this lowly form of existence in the realm of Runeterra. The queue ended up being short since the lower you are the more players you have to play with. Pick and bans in this elo was nothing but playing your favourite champion as no one actually had a clue about matchups and counter picks. He picked himself Ezreal as he was deceptively strong when your opponent could not dodge skill shots for his life. His support picked Janna which he actually appreciated as she only had to press E on him and do nothing else at all. After pick and bans, loading screen came up but it took ages to get into the game as it was 2015 and players this casual had sub-par computers. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. Out of habit he bought the starting items as soon as his character appeared on the fountain and rushed to the red buff, waiting for his teammates to come along so maybe they can get an invade going. As his support was afk for a minute, there was no chance for invade and he headed to the lane after leashing for his jungler. He always hated playing against Brand support but this Brand on the enemy team had no clue how to hit skill shots. He immediately started hitting minions so he could get a level advantage and possibly a kill. People in low elo did not know about how many minions you have to kill to reach level 2 and it was possible to surprise them by suddenly all-inning them. Not surprisingly they reached level 2 first and started playing aggressively. Ezreal''s Q''s did not deal much damage this much early on but hitting every Q and squeezing in an auto attack every now and then got the enemy ADC low, his dominance was established and it was obvious that he was going to carry the game pretty easily and so he did. He was quite pleased with himself watching the enemy Nexus explode at the 20 minute mark. First Task After his first game Edgar was troubled. When he came to this world there was a sound in his mind telling him that he now has a League of Legends system. He honestly thought logging into a game would trigger a response from the system but it was not the case. He shook off his distracting thoughts and began to queue up for another game. As soon as Pick and Bans started there was a sound on his mind declaring that League of Legends System started. Edgar was ecstatic as he thought of the possibility of going professional and winning the World Championship with his favorite team. Edgar could not help but ask why the system was not activated during his first game. System¡¯s answer was, it had to evaluate its users skill level before starting any training. System¡¯s evaluation was Edgar could rank somewhere in high Platinum but that was his limit. He could not possibly reach Diamond without any improvements. When Edgar learned about System¡¯s evaluation he felt distraught. He was playing for more than 5 years in his old world and seeing how he could not even reach Diamond in 2015 Season. As the game progressed and more and more players began to play League of Legends, it was getting harder and harder to rank up as more players mean more people with higher skill levels than you. Being a Platinum 4 player in 2019 Edgar thought he could maybe hit Diamond in 2015. Sadly System¡¯s answer was no. He quickly gathered himself as system¡¯s sound rang again. ¡®¡¯Hit 90 percent of Q skill shots on champions using Ezreal. (You have to at least use Q 50 times) Reward: Ezreal proficiency +1¡¯¡¯ Edgar thought that proficiency meant he would play Ezreal to its real capabilities. He was curious as to what proficiency he already had on Ezreal. In his mind there appeared a kind of sheet of stats that showed all champions and his proficiency on them like this one: Ezreal - 70 Vayne - 67 Lucian - 75 Caitlyn - 72 ...Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. When he saw that he had 70 proficiency on Ezreal Edgar thought it meant he was not using Ezreal to its full potential. He assumed when his proficiency with a champion reached 100 he could use that champion to perfection. He would know every little detail about the champion by then, knowing how much damage it does with certain items at certain times of the games and reading the plays before it happens. With that thought in mind he picked Ezreal and started his game. Task would have been much easier if there was not a lower limit of how many Q¡¯s he had to hit. He was actually thankful that his account was Silver ll as it would be harder and harder to accomplish such tasks as he ranked up. He was against Caitlyn and Nami and his support was Fiddlesticks. He was thinking of using the same tactic he used in his first game and get level 2 first but Caitlyn was also pushing for it. They reached level 2 at the same time and there was no possibility of an all-in. While trying to cs perfectly Edgar would constantly move behind caster minions to find an angle where he can hit his Q¡¯s on Caitlyn and Nami. Killing a minion with an auto attack and immediately sending a Q through that minion was a simple tactic that was used in Platinum Elo. This move meant that opponent was not prepared to dodge as he saw that there was a minion in front of him. He thought that his percentage at that point was more than enough but after laning phase he wondered how he¡¯d do. After laning phase he began to group with his team as five in Mid Lane as it was normal in this Elo to just group and fight as a team. Having a much longer range than other champions on the opponent team Edgar was just happy to harass them long enough for their health bars to get low enough so that they had to base or lose a possible teamfight. He was cautious about throwing Q¡¯s right and left as he had to maintain his percentage but one of the advantages of Ezreal was he could kite champions with his Q. This meant that when champions were rushing towards him, he could just throw a Q behind his back while running and it would surely land.Much like the last game he was able to carry his team since his actual rank was much higher than Silver ll and he began wondering if he succeeded or not. As soon as the match ended he heard a message from the system that said: ¡®Congratulations, you have accomplished the task and gained +1 proficiency on Ezreal¡¯ Edgar was happy that he could finish his first mission without much trouble but he actually did not feel any different from before. When he opened his proficiency sheet to check he saw the change. Ezreal - 71 Vayne - 67 Lucian - 75 Caitlyn - 72 ... He thought it must stack a few times for him to realize the importance of the proficiency points and notice the change in his gameplay. Get Me Out of Here Edgar continued playing a few more games but oddly there was no system task this time around. His guess was that these tasks were issued once a day. Seeing there was not another task he just continued playing as he normally would. It was okay to take risks in this Elo as you could always outplay your opponent or your opponent can make a mechanical error. By taking such risks you can snowball way harder and close out the games much easier. When he finished fifth game of the day, winning them all and reaching Silver l, he heard the door open. Edgar¡¯s parents John and Anne were returning from work after a long day. It was currently summer but despite being a teacher, Edgar¡¯s mother had to be present in the school for some time after schools were closed in order to prepare for the next year. Edgar closed his computer and greeted his parents. His feelings were complicated since he did not really consider them as his real parents. His actual parents were always going to be those that before he came to this world. He did not feel awkward or anything like that around his new parents though as he already inherited the memories of the original Edgar. Seeing Edgar coming out of his room to greet them John asked how his day was. Edgar truthfully answered saying Ed came over and hung around for a few hours and he played on his computer after he left. Edgar¡¯s parents were already accustomed him playing video games on his free time. He was the same since they bought him a computer when he was 10 years old. While his mother was preparing dinner his sister Catherine also came home. Catherine was two years younger than Edgar and was also in High School. She must have been hanging out with his friends Edgar thought. Unlike Edgar Catherine was much more outgoing and had a lot of friends which she would hang out regularly. Their parents were not strict as long as you do not stay overnight at someone¡¯s house. If you wanted to, you had to inform them so they could know where you were at. While the normal conversation was going on, Edgar chose to silently listen as both Catherine and John started talking about their days. When the dinner was ready and everyone was seated at the table their father decided to ask how his studies were going. Edgar said the usual ¡®going well¡¯ and tried to close the conversation. His father wanted him to go to a university but Edgar had no such plans. His plan was to play League of Legends professionally for his favorite team. Edgar considered telling the truth but then he thought about how he was still a Silver l player. Getting to Challenger first and explaining to them what that meant and how there was a chance he could play professionally would work out much better, he thought.Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author. After finishing his dinner Edgar excused himself and went into his room. He opened his client and queued up for another game as he was impatient about reaching Platinum as soon as possible. This time though he decided he would play other champions and try to improve on them. Matches went pretty well he had four wins and one loss due to his top laner being afk. When he finally reached his promos he played seven games already and the time was getting late. He decided he would not sleep as he was used to staying up all night playing League and started his promos. He was 2-1 on his promos and his support decided he could 1v2 the opponent bot lane and died. When he question marked he said you do not even know the game, shut up and ignored him for the rest of the game. It wouldn¡¯t have been too bad if it was just the laning phase but he caught out a lot during the mid game and we lost due to that. As the score was 2-2 Edgar prayed so that he could get decent teammates. His prayer was rewarded and everyone seemed to be doing well in their respective roles. He finished the game with a 8/1/9 score and finally reached Gold V.
