In this world, children around the age of 8 to 12 can get themselves blessed by the goddess. A blessing from the goddess would unlock the potential of the children in this world. The unlocked potential vary accordingly, small to big. Unlocking the potential doesn''t instantly make the person able to use it. As the name suggests, it only unlocks. Since getting a blessing will feel like a dream, Harry had forgotten about him meeting the 4 figures in his dream. In fact, after his blessing, weird changes started happening to his body. It started 2 days after him getting the blessing. On that day, he had a fever, and that fever made him produce slimy sweat. Strangely, after recovering from his fever, he became able to activate and deactivate the slimy sweat. His parents thought that it was just a strange after-effect of his blessing. Of course he didn''t tell anyone about him controlling slimy sweat. If he told his parents about it, they would worry about him. His personality had also somewhat changed. Before the blessing, he was one of the nicest noble child you''ll ever meet. Now, his behaviour changed to be somewhat weird. Sometimes he''ll just be very depressed about his life, sometimes he''ll be very secretive about what he was doing, sometimes he dreams of hunting beasts, and sometimes the way he talks differs from the norm. This made his parents worried, they consulted to the family doctor. It has been a week since the blessing. The family doctor is now checking on Harry. "Young Master Harrion, nice to meet you, I am the doctor of your family, Dr. Edward."(Dr. Edward) With a warm smile, the Doctor greeted him. "Nice to meet you too, Doctor."(Harry) "You sure have grown up young Master, the last time I saw you, you were still growing you teeth."(Dr. Edward) "Now, the Master and the Lady have told me about your unusual fever and the changes that happened to you. It was an expression of a person who''s confident of theur answer. With an uncomfortable smile, the Doctor replied. "Please don''t lie to me young master, your parents and the servants felt like the way you act has changed."(Dr. Edward) "No, I feel the same."(Harry) "Once again, please don''t lie."(Dr. Edward) "I''m not lying! Hmppf!"(Harry) The Doctor''s expression became more uncomfortable. Then, after what it seems like five more minutes of a check-up, it turned into an argument. And because it turned into an argument, the Doctor felt defeated. It turns out that he was fired from being the family Doctor for unknown reasons. ¡ó It has now been a few months since Harry''s blessing. Many things have changed since then. The most obvious one, is again, his behaviour. The once known nice noble child in the eyes of the public, is now known as the weirdo. During a certain day, one his classmate from the academy had an argument with him. It was uncertain who was the one who started arguing, and unfortunately, a fight broke. After that fight broke, Harry and that classmate of his were sent home respectively. But for Harry, he thought that it was outrageous. The truth was, that classmate of his, had heard of his slimy fever and his slimy sweat from god knows where. And that classmate of his, started insulting him as a freak. And after a few days of that insult. He had enough of it, and all of his pent up anger exploded into an argument and became a fight. After he was sent home, one of his servants told Harry that his Father wanted to see him in his office. Inside that office, Harry''s father, Quint Magno Raizen, scolded Harry so loud that the servants were even scared. But during the scolding, he ran away with his face looking furious. On that day, he killed a bird and scattered it''s insides in his father''s office at midnight. One of the servants, accidentally saw this happen and told his father. His father, outraged, tried to lock him up in the cellar. But his mother, refused that punishment and decided that it was best for her to talk things through with Harry. After that talk, Harry regretted his act and locked himself in his bedroom. Chapter 2 - The Cursed boy The night has come, in this world, nights are lively. People who''ve finished their jobs and duties, drink and eat at this time. But under that lively atmosphere, exists the underworld. The underworld is pretty much what you expect. A society which do deeds that are considered taboo and/or unsightly. Examples of a couple of those deeds are kidnappings and murder. ¡ó "Hey kid, hey kid, wake up." "Ugh..." "W-who are you??" "I don''t have reason to tell you." The boy, had black hair and a scrawny body. He was bound by chains in a cage inside of a carriage. The boy, was Harry. Yes, our Harry. The Harry that had locked himself up in his room. ¡ó ''Why am I in here!''(Harry) ''I''m the son of a noble! How daring of them to do this to me!''(Harry) Then, he overheard those thugs talking. "Heh, easy money. Can''t believe that that Viscount''s wife wanted us to kill her own son far away."(Thug 1) "Yeah, she even told us we can do anything we want to this kid before we kill him."(Thug 2) "Hehehe, I know I''m gonna enjoy this, you both know I have a thing for young kids."(Thug 3) "Ugh gross, at least do it with a little girl, not a boy."(Thug 2) "Well, he is the guard for that brat tonight while we sleep, we should be thanking him for giving us wonderful sleep."(Thug 1) "Yeah yeah, thank me, ahahahah."(Thug 3) ''Mom did this to me?! His mind, not knowing what sex is, thought that he was getting beaten by the thug that night. And When the night came, that thug came. He opened the cage lock and entered the cage. Harry, struggled to get out of his chains. Then, that thug opened his pants, and also Harry''s pants. Harry struggled more, to the point where his shackled wrists were bruised by the shackles. Seeing him struggling more, the thug punched him, again and again. Until he struggled no more. We all know what happens next. And what was quite surprising was the stamina of that thug. He continued for 2 hours straight. The next night was better, the guarding thug was a different one. And the next day was better too, it was again, another thug guarding him. And while he was not getting raped, he thought of a plan to escape, his eyes were like a mad beast''s. And that day finally came, that child rapist thug, came again. But this time, Harry didn''t struggle. Instead, he hold back tears as he know that his plan wouldn''t work if he struggled. And because of that, the thug didn''t punch him. On the contrary, he tried to seduce him. "Why don''t you become mine, say?" "..." "I want to safe you and we can do our little fun time okay?" "..." "Sucks to be you, oh well, there''re others." As he said that, he began raping Harry. And because Harry knew of his stamina, he decided to not expend too much energy by struggling. For his plan to work, energy must be conserved. ¡ó After a couple hours of "fun time", he began his plan. First he needed to steal the keys, luckily that thug slept beside him. The thug was in a deep sleep, obviously tired because of the "fun time". And after stealing the keys, he carefully placed his dominant leg, his right leg, behind the neck of the sleeping thug. And after that, he used his shackles to choke the thug, and used his leg to force the thug''s neck onto the shackles''s chains while also pulling back his shackled hands. Harry went full force, and the thug... Well, the thug was shocked but it was too late. His face was already purple. Unfortunately, while he struggled, he stood up and lifted Harry too. The scene looked like an ogre getting choked by a Halfling, while standing. Of course thug struggled. He stepped back and banged his back. Harry, being on his back, choking his neck, got hit on the head. But, he resolved his will, even if he dies, he will take the thug he was choking with him to hell. "KKKKKHHHHHHHHHHYAAAAAAAAHH!!"(Thug 3) But because the thug screamed, it woke up the other thugs. But by a miracle, the thug he was choking died after that. And the other thugs thought that it was some animal or beast in the forest. "Hey, I think that was a beast!"(Thug 2) "Y-yeah, we need to arm ourselves!!"(Thug 1) And so, they decided to pick up their weapons and guarded their own carriage, while also looking arround at their surroundings. ''Tch, those other thugs woke up'' Harry thought. So after freeing himself from the chains and the cage, he decided that it was best to wait for them to sleep again and then run away. Harry peeped at the other thugs through a hole in the wooden Carriage''s wall. The other thugs and the other carriage were about 5 meters away from him. But unluckily, after confirming that there were no beasts, they decided to check the carriage Harry was in. Adrenaline coursed through his blood, his heart pounded crazily. Because of them coming to Harry, he ran as fast as he can to the forest. The thugs seeing run, quickly followed after him. They were adults, their legs were longer than him, and they weren''t hurt. Of course they would catch up to Harry in no time. But to their surprise, Harry ran into a small cave near him. So, they also entered the cave. But they saw no sight of Harry. They only saw a dark dead end with some dust cloud on it. It looked like Harry had disappeared instantly, only leaving only that dust cloud. Chapter 3 - Luck Water, the source of life, the liquid that makes living things live. In a dark cave, lies a lake. But this was no ordinary lake, this lake, contains unimaginable amounts of mana. And on the shore of the lake, lies a boy with his bottom half, still submerged in the rich mana water. That boy was of course Harry. After running away from the thugs and misteriously disappearing into thin air, the boy was misteriously here. Waking up with a headache, he was shocked. He didn''t recall getting into this place at all. All he knew, was that he was running away and was suddenly losing his consciousness from tiredness. Of course he didn''t know what brought him here. It seemed like a miracle to him. A one in a billion miracle. But the truth was, it was a wormhole that teleported him here. In this world, wormholes are similar to portals. Portals are space magic that connects a space with another space, it often looks like a gate to another place. Wormholes however, are different, they''re invisible, unlike portals. They''re also mostly natural magic occurences, and are rarely created by living beings. Magicians also stapled that wormholes are inferior to portals, there''s a reason to that, and that''s because it makes the person using it unconscious. "Hellooooo!!?? Hellooooo!!??" Harry yelled, even though he knew no one was in there with him. Still, he tried again and again. But eventually, he got tired of it and he began trying to find an exit. It seemed that the lake in the cave wasn''t that dark after all. Millions of luminescent worms lighted the ceiling of the cave. Those lights revealed magnificent stalactites, stalagmites, and also crystal structures usually found in caves. But these crystal structures were very beautiful, there were many of them, but almost each of them seemed unique and colourful. Amazed by this sight, he made a note in his mind that he needed to come back to this place, if he made it out alive. Luckily, he found a tiny stream connected to the lake, and with that, he drank loads of water. Thankfully, the water was full of mana and that mana managed to supress his hunger. So, he decided to follow the stream, and walk for many hours more. And every time his stomach was growling and his mouth was dry, he drinks the water.
Finally, after an excruciating walk of what it seems to be, a few days, he saw daylight. It seemed that the water stream flowed through a crack on the wall. Unfortunately the crack that the daylight reached through, was small. Fortunately, it was enough for small children to fit through. And Harry, being only a thin 10-year-old boy, als managed to fit through. "..." He was speechless, it seemed that he found food. His stomach growled, his mouth drooled, but for some reason his brain told him to be cautious. It looked like the Microberries he used to eat when he was still little, but these berries looked enormous. So enormous that one berry, was as large as an apple. Being extremely hungry, he decided to push away doubts about the probability of it being poisonous. And he happily munched away. One berry, two berries, three berries, four berries. His appetite seemed limitless as he munched away. But because he was a noble, he remembered being taught in the academy that overeating causes stomach problems such as vomitting and stomachaches. After remembering that he might vomit, he stopped eating
Days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months, he now has a routine. When it was morning, he takes a shower using the tiny water stream flowing out of the crack of the cave he was in. When it was noon, he gathers food, like the big Microberries and nuts. He eats lunch with the big Microberries and nuts he found, while also storing the nuts in case of emergencies. He named those berries Macroberries because of their abnormally large size. When it was afternoon, he explores the area a little bit, finding other dangerous monsters in groups. Being scared of these monsters, he sneaks away every time he sees one monster while his heart pounded crazily. One species of those monsters were Giant Mantises, their sizes were like the sizes of adult wolves, their colours were red, yellow, and green. Red seemed the strongest, and big like adult wolves, they were also the biggest. The tiniest were the green ones, they''re about the size of a pitbull. And the yellow ones were in the middle. When it was night, he tries to build himself a shelter, and managed to make a fire for himself each night. This was also the time he eats dinner. But after finding out about dangerous monsters around the area, he mustered all his will, and decided that it was time for him to get himself a weapon and train himself with it. Luckily he was in a forest with a bounty of plants and materials. Sticks and vines were easy to find, and rocks and pebbles were in large numbers inside the cave. With this decision on mind, he cut a branch of a tree and shaved all of it''s leaves and sticks using a sharp rock. He then cut it to about 12 cm in length. Using that sharp rock, he split the top of that pre-cut branch, the split was about 5 cm deep. After doing that, he forced the split top to the middle of the sharp rock until it reached a certain point. And using the dried vines, he tied the split top of the branch, closing the split. He also tied the bottom part of the split, so that the split wouldn''t go further. He did this with strength that aren''t usually available in normal 10-year-olds. But because he had lived in this forest eating nutritious Macroberries and nuts, while also drinking mana rich water, he had somewhat increased his muscle volume. What he had crafted, was a primitive hatchet. Chapter 4 - Daily Logs Day 1 After exiting the cave, It seemed like the water stream from inside the cave lead to a small pond. The water seemed clean, as it was in the cave, so I decided that it was my water source. I also found some big berries that looked like the Microberries I used to eat. So, I decided to name them Macroberries. Day 2 I missed my lifestyle, me locking myself in my room, was the best. My lifestyle was lazy, but I felt relaxed. I still regret what I did to my father, and I''m still confused as to why, mother, hired those evil people. Day 3 I''m having nightmares, it seemed like the bad things they did to me are still lingering. To make it worse, I''m scared that I will never find myself back at home. Day 4 I started a routine, it wasn''t perfect, but compared to doing nothing all day but eating Macroberries, drinking water, sleeping, and pooping, it was way better. Day 5 The routine was doing fine, but there was nothing other than that. Day 6 While exploring the forest, I saw a pack of sabre-toothed wolves larger than what the academy taught me. They were about twice as big as the one the academy taught me. Four meters in length and two meters in height. Their sabre-tooth fangs seemed to be twice as big as my head. They seemed to have smelled my scent, so I was scared and sneaked away from them. Thankfully, I was far away, so it seemed like they didn''t see me. I hope they won''t find my hideout. Day 7 Found a Ley nut tree, it was a rare plant that was thought to be almost extinct, the academy said that the fruits are bitter, but the nuts are incredibly tasty. They said that the people from the ancient times cultivated this tree, but a pest from an island nation spread to the mainland and had almost made every fruit on the mainland, extinct. Luckily, some nations conserved the seeds of the fruits. But sadly, the Ley trees didn''t make it. Day 8Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. Found some more Ley trees, so I decided to pick the nuts as much as I can, and bring them back. It''s better to store food in case of emergencies. Day 9 Encountered a giant Mantis nest and saw an Erymanthian Boar. The books said they were extinct, how can they exist here? Day 10 I decided to make a comfy bed for myself out of branches and leaves. Day 11 It rained till'' night, and because of that, my clothes are wet. Day 12 I caught a cold. Note to myself: Don''t ever sleep with wet clothes in the night. Day 13 Laid down on my makeshift bed, doing nothing. The routine is pretty much over because of me being sick. It was a good idea to store some of the Ley nuts and Macroberries I found. Although the berries can only last for days, I was unsure about the nuts, as they look pretty much the same. Day 14 Still sick. Day 15 Not sick anymore, but still tired. So I ended up doing nothing again. Day 16 Finally, I continued my routine. I made some changes to my routine. On morning, I now did training to strengthen my weak body. On night, I started trying to build a shelter from branches and leaves. Day 17 Found some weird fire rocks, when hit with normal rocks, they produce fire. I think they call this rock, a flint. The shelter is still on progress. Day 18 There was a storm. It was a good idea to enter the cave again. Why did I not think about this when it rained, days ago? Day 19 The sky looked clear. I''ve been wondering about where this place is, the sun and the moon looks weird here. It''s as if they weren''t real. But, I can still feel the heat from the sunlight, so I''m uncertain. The shelter is still in progress. Day 20 Made a campfire, it''s pretty cozy and warm. The shelter is in progress. It looks like it''ll take about 10 more days until it finishes. My small body is still too weak to carry lots of branches, and my skills are too noobish to build the shelter quickly. Looks like I''ll train more.
Day 31 The day has come, my shelter is finished. Now I can store many nuts and fruits in here. Day 32 Made a hatchet, it looks primitive. I''m so happy, now I can cut more branches and leaves to upgrade my settlement. Somehow, thinking about this place makes me miss home. This place is now my new home. Day 33 A lone sabre-tooth wolf saw me, I ran as fast as I can and came back to my new home. I don''t know if it followed me here. Day 34 Made a spear, it wasn''t an amazing spear, but it wasn''t useless. I also started training with this spear. I''m afraid dangerous monsters will find someday me here.
Day 46 I started hunting some Rabbits, and luckily killed one. I ate it after roasting it and also ate some Macroberries and Ley nuts with it, it was the best meal I''ve ever had ever since I came to this place. Day 47 It seemed like my slime sweat is flammable, I''m very thankful to have this. Now I can make campfires faster. Day 48 Didn''t succeed in hunting Rabbits, I guess I was lucky when I killed my first one.
Day 91 After trying many things again and again, I succeeded in making pottery, now I can store water in them. Day 92 I''m thinking of upgrading my shelter into a log cabin, but I don''t know how to build it.
