 Chapter 1-Laika Shoto

    There I saw it. Itwas covered in red scales with gold lining.It looked majestic and domineering.It was adragon.The dragon opened it''s maw and spoke in an ancient language. The next thing I know, I was staring at myself from the dragon''s eyes. Then, everything went black.

    There was a shining red halberd leaning against my wall. As I stared at the halbred, I saw images appear within my mind. I saw a man in gold armor, fending off thousands of Royal Knights. Behind the man, I saw a dragon. I then gasped in shock as I realized that it was the same dragon from my dream.

 Chapter 2- The Halberd

    I stood up and walked towards the halberd. When I reached for the halberd, I felt a strong heat illuminating from the handle I thought would burn my hand, but to my surprise.

    The fire didn''t affect me, but the surge of energy that went through my arm did. I droped the halberd and tried my best to hold in my scream. That''s when my father called me. I had to hide the halberd before he came up the stairs.     "Laika, are you ok? Why are you not dressed for school?"

    As father left my room, I smelt somthing burning, and as I turned around, the back of my shorts had burned away and almost burntthrough the floor boards. I quickly had to pick up the halberd before it went any futher. Welp, this was the first part of my story.


    I had to get ready for my first day at the royal magic school. My father and I were poor, but my father somehow got the King to enroll me, but I felt that I might not even be here for long.

 Chapter 3 - The palace

    As I walked down the road towards the Royal academy, I had already felt that I should turn around, but with enough mustered up courage, I managed to walk through the doors. I couldn''t believe my eyes with what I saw. The halls were decorated with diamond, the floors made of emerald, and almost everyone was wearing the best of clothing.


    All except... the slaves. As I watched as a prince from another land told a slave to carry his things for him, but the slave didn''t hear him. So he went over to he slave, and kicked her down.     The prince rose his foot up and in a split second I knew what was about to happen. The prince was going to kill her. some how I made it down the corridor in less than 10 seconds, and I wasn''t even that fast of a runner. When I made it down the hall I grabbed the slave and returned to where I was previously standing. I examined the girl and i immediatly noticed that she had scabs, bruises, and cuts that were all uncovered. I felt so digusted with how the royals treated people that worked for them. I felt enraged.     I felt something getting bigger within my pocket, and when it stopped growing, everyone in the hall gasped.

 Chapter 4 - The others

    I ran, I had to run as fast as I could. I heard the royal gaurds behind me, telling me to stop, but I didn''t. I cut corner''s, ran into crowd''s and even hid in ally way''s, but somehow they alway''s found me. I thought that the people were telling them where I was, but I wouldn''t jump to conclusions.


    I decided to hide at a near by corner to see how they keeping track of me. I thought they would ask people from the town, but no.     I looked,up their were 4 people standing on the roof of a house.They all had weapons, each a different color. Blue, yellow, white and black. The weapons all had dragon engravings on them just like on the halberd.

 Chapter 5 - Chow Tetsu

    After I had ran a safe distance away from the kingdom, I stopped to think to myself.


    Who were those people? They looked pretty strong.


    And that¡¯s when I heard a rustle in thebushes next to me.

    "W-what the fu-?"


    It was one of the four people I had seen earlier.

    As I walked in the field with Chow, I saw someone rushing towards us. I panicked and tried to run, but chow grabbed my shirt and pulled me back.


    "Don''t worry, stay where you are"


    "Well I don''t know if your trying to getyourass killed, but I''m getting the hell out of here"

    When I had finally cooled down, I looked behind me to see who it was. I was taken by surprise.


    It was a girl wearing a white robe with long blonde hair in a ponytail. She looked like she had depression

    After a whole 5 minutes of thinking, I looked up at the sky and smiled.

    "Come on we need to get to the training ground to start your practice"


    We walked for 2 hours before we reached a tall old tree.


    "What are we doing here Chow, this is just a tree"

    Chow removed a wooden cover from a knot in the tree that revealed a slot.


    He took out his sword and stabbed it into the slot and almost immediately, a part of the tree shifted forward and slid open.


    "Follow me, and try not to hit your head!"


    He jumped in and started falling


    "Oh hell no, I''m not doing that"


    But before I could back away from the tree I felt a soft hand that pushed me forward.
