《Transported to a MMO World》 A New Beginning Strong wind blew through the grass making the trees in the distance dance. A young male laying onto the grass peacefully suddenly wakes up gasping for air. Eventually, the young man regains control of his breath and looks around his new environment, confused. ¡®Where the hell am I?!¡¯ As he starts to ponder about his whereabouts, he notices a blinking letter icon at the top of his field of view. The icon seems to stay put in his field of view even while shaking his head. He reaches for the blinking letter and as soon as he touches it a menu opens. [1 New Mail] [Sender: Azal] The young man had seen something like these multiple times in his life, as he had played many video games before but that did not help his bewilderment. ¡®So this is a VR game, uh? I don¡¯t remember playing this, I must have passed out while downloading it.¡¯ He had been spending his nights playing video games and recently because of summer vacation, he would spend entire days playing. He chuckled and clicked on the message he had received. {You might want to sit down for this. There was an awful cataclysm that happened to your world, when some of the gods decided to enact genocide to wipe the universe clean. I am Azal, one of the gods who stood against those who would seek to destroy. I couldn¡¯t save your world, but I did manage to save some of you. However, what if I told you that there was a chance to save your loved ones? If you train yourself and bring out the powers that I¡¯ve helped you manifest through this world, you could help me defeat the other gods and save the world.}If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. ¡®A bit overly dramatic, isn¡¯t? Well, I probably should get some food and water.¡¯ The young man sighed and proceeded to try to remove his VR headset but only managed to grab his messy short brown hair and pull some strand upwards. After noticing that nothing happened, he quickly mimicked what he just tried just a second ago unfortunately to no avail. After a few unsuccessful tries, the gloomy realization settled into his mind. This wasn¡¯t a game, this was real. ¡®This has to be a dream!¡¯ He figured that if there was a mail system, there could also be a menu system and as soon as the word menu came into his mind a window appeared in front of him. The menu had the usual MMORPG tabs such as: Profile, Equipment, Party, Quest, Guild, etc. He pressed on the profile tab and a new menu appeared. [Derek Vega] [Novice] [Level 1] [Strength: 8 Dexterity: 9 Endurance: 9 Intelligence: 19 Mind: 18] Derek had many video game related dreams in the past and he had thought about what it would be like to be transported into a game, but he never envisioned it to be this realistic. Since he had nothing else to do, he started going though the different tabs in the menu. After finding the information menu, Derek saw something truly terrifying, [This is not a dream. If you die, you die.] The prospect of being sent into a dangerous world all alone would leave the strongest men horrified. Derek stood there for a few minutes thinking, almost petrified, but he promptly realized something. ¡®This is what I¡¯ve been wishing for, this is my chance. I¡¯ve always wanted the real world to be more like a game and I finally got my wish. Now where do I start.¡¯ Learning Curve Derek¡¯s face grimaced as his belly made grumbling noises. ¡®I guess the hunger I felt earlier wasn¡¯t just my imagination.¡¯ Derek remembered seeing a starter pack when he looked through his inventory earlier. He went through his inventory and opened the starter pack with the hope of seeing some food. [1x Wooden Sword Received] [1x Leather Armor Received] [1x Leather Boots Received] [10x Apples Received] [1x Filled Waterskin Received] [100x Gold Coins Received] ¡®That¡¯ll do¡¯ He pressed on the apples in his inventory and selected one. The apple appeared in his left hand, real as it can be. Derek took one bite of the apple and saw the stamina bar in his menu slightly go up. [HP: 550] [MP: 1050] [Stamina: 65/100] ¡®I have way more MP than I have HP.¡¯ Derek quickly looked through the information menu and as he had suspected MP is based on your intelligence stat and HP is based on your endurance stat. [Derek Vega] [Novice] [Level 1] [Strength: 8 Dexterity: 9 Endurance: 9 Intelligence: 19 Mind: 18] ¡®Seeing as I still need to eat and drink water in this world, I can only assume I also need to rest. My best bet would be finding other people in my predicament so that someone can keep guard while the rest sleep.¡¯ Derek went through the menu one more time to see if something could help him locate other people and saw the map. Looking through the map it seemed that there were already a lot of villages and towns established. ¡®So there must be NPC in this world, great. Going to one of those already established town would be great to stock up.¡¯ Thankfully for Derek, the map had a red marker that marked his current location and it seemed that he wasn¡¯t too far from a small village named: Holton. If the size of the villages on the map indicated how big the town would be, Holton would be one of the smallest ones. Derek looked at the clock displayed at the top of the menu and thought. You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version. ¡®Well, might as well get going now since it¡¯s already 4 pm. I probably don¡¯t want to be out here when it gets dark.¡¯ He equipped the leather armor and the wooden sword and left towards Holton. It was by no mean a short walk but he didn¡¯t run into any problem during his two hour long walk. Because of how close he was to the village on the map, Derek had thought that the village would be much closer, but this walk showed him otherwise. ¡®This place is much bigger than I originally thought, uh. I wonder how long it would take to travel to those other towns.¡¯ Derek finally arrived at Holton, it was indeed a very small village, by his estimation there couldn¡¯t be more than 200 people living in the village. Derek pondered for a few seconds how he should approach this but then figured that it would be mostly filled with NPCs, which wouldn¡¯t be a problem for him. As he entered the village, Derek was greeted by a few of the villagers and as he was about to ask for the location of an inn, he saw a wooden single storey building, with a gray tile roof and a sign that said: Inn. He entered the building and was greeted by a young female with a round, pretty face. Her long wavy red hair flowed over her pale skin, she looked at him with her narrow brown eyes and said. ¡°Hello there, how can I help you?¡± ¡®Is she a NPC too?¡¯ ¡°Hi, I would like a room for one.¡± ¡°Very well sir, that will be 1 gold.¡± [Alys has sent you a trade request.] [Alys: \] [You: 1 Gold Coin] [Accept] [Deny] ¡®I guess this is how we exchange services with NPCs in this world.¡¯ After his exchange with the young lady, Derek was shown to his room and laid down on his bed, exhausted after an unusually busy day. He looked through the system and evaluated everything. ¡®Looking through the system, there seems to be a training tab where I could level up. I might have to use it a little before I go out adventuring, there is no respawning if I fall in battle.¡¯ Derek took the evening to look through his attributes and skills to figure out how to best approach a potential fight and how the world works. [Skills] [Vulcanus Vessel: 30% Exp gain. (passive)] [Novice] [Quick Feet: Improve move speed for a short amount of time. (1 min CD)] [Recovery: Recover HP & MP for 30 sec. (10 min CD)] [Charge: Slight improved move speed and attack. (15 sec CD)] [Analyse: Quick Analysis of enemy¡¯s stats and traits. (10 min CD)] Discovery Derek spent his first night in this new world at the locale inn of Holton, one of the smallest village according to the map. After he woke up, Derek spent some of his morning speaking with Alys, the lady who first greeted him when he entered the inn. Through his discussion, he learned that she was a real person a not an NPC. In fact, no one in this village was an NPC, they were all real people who were transported to this world a year ago. ¡®A year ago!? It can¡¯t be, I just woke up yesterday. Did I forget more than just how I got here? No, there¡¯s no way I would still be level one if I got here a year ago.¡¯ Derek didn¡¯t want to appear to be new to this world as it may be suspicious to those who¡¯ve lived here for a full year already. He decided to spend some of his day to ask around the other villagers to see if everyone would have the same story. He found that everyone in this village did appear in this world a year ago by asking people what they used to do in the ¡°real world¡±. He also learned that there are very few people in this world that are NPCs, they mostly exist around big towns. The reason for that is that NPCs were around the multiple different places where people appeared in this world and often times those places are where the first towns were established. People usually appeared in groups at various different locations in this world and the NPCs were there to help guide those people. Meaning that a newer village like Holton, wouldn¡¯t have NPCs. ¡®Well, seeing as many villagers encouraged me to go see their local blacksmith it must mean that people with jobs gain experience over time like most combatant. It wouldn¡¯t hurt to go see his shop, but first I need to train a little. I can¡¯t be level one forever.¡¯ Derek then decided to use the training tab in the menu. When he pressed on it, he was given two options for training. The first option was combat training where the user fight monsters that they have already encountered to gain experience, the monsters are at reduced strength and they give a reduced amount of experience. Seeing as he hadn¡¯t encountered any monsters yet, Derek couldn¡¯t use this option, His other option was exercise training, the user has to do multiple exercises to complete a training program and gain experience once completed. ¡®I guess I¡¯ll have to go with the exercise option. I¡¯m not a big fan of exercising but it¡¯s too dangerous to go adventuring while being level one. It¡¯s even worst now that I know people have been here for a year, the monsters might be stronger to adapt to the rising strength of other adventurers. At least this ¡°Vulcanus Vessel¡± skill might help me catch up, it is very worrying that through my investigation no one else seemed to be aware of such a skill. I originally thought it was a skill for beginners that helps them level up for a little while to adapt to this world but it doesn¡¯t seem to be the case. I¡¯m going to have to figure this out eventually but for now I should train.¡¯Love what you''re reading? Discover and support the author on the platform they originally published on. Derek chose the exercise option and a menu opened. [Exercise Option] [Difficulty Selection] [Easy: 1km Run. 10 Push-ups. 10 Sit-ups. 10 Squats.] [Moderate: 5km Run. 50 Push-ups. 50 Sit-ups. 50 Squats.] [Tough: 10km Run. 100 Push-ups. 100 Sit-ups. 100 Squats.] [Option Locked] ¡®In my current shape I have to go for the first one, I guess. The higher-level difficulty workouts give so much more experience though. I wonder if working out will increase my physical shape or if increasing my strength will. Only one way to find out. I do wonder what the locked option is though, oh well.¡¯ Derek chose the easy difficulty and got to work. He started by doing half the push-ups, half the sit-ups and half of the squats. He wasn¡¯t the most muscular person but even him could do those exercises without too much of a problem. His run didn¡¯t go as well, he ran out of breath more than once seeing as he hadn¡¯t participated in any sports for a few years, but he still completed it. Doing the rest of the exercises were slightly more difficult, but he managed to complete it. And at that very moment where he completed the last squat, Derek heard a noise that would become music to his ears. [Level Up!] ¡®My first level-up! If I keep doing these workouts, I could maybe become much stronger without even facing a single monster.¡¯ Derek quickly looked at his stamina bar and it was considerably lower than at the start of his workout. ¡®I guess I can¡¯t really do these consecutively at my current physical ability.¡¯ Derek then opened his attribute menu. [Derek Vega] [Novice] [Level 2] [5 Points Available] [Strength: 8 + Dexterity: 9 + Endurance: 9 + Intelligence: 19 + Mind: 18 +] ¡®What if I increased my physical attributes to make the workout easier. I could theoretically workout more and do the harder difficulty ones, making leveling way easier.¡¯ Derek put two points into his strength attribute and felt stronger than before. He also put 1 point into dexterity to make it to an even 10. Then, he did the same with his endurance stat but when he increased it, he also spotted in the corner of his eye that his stamina bar increased. ¡®That makes sense, the more I increase my endurance the bigger my stamina bar becomes, allowing me to do more exercise trainings. I can only assume that the more I increase my strength the easier the exercises will be and the more I increase my dexterity the faster I¡¯ll be making my run easier.¡¯ He put his last point into endurance, once again making his stamina bar bigger and started another training exercise. After finishing the second workout, his experience bar filled up halfway. He still had enough stamina for another workout, so he started another one and finished it in his room at the inn. [Level Up!] [Derek Vega] [Novice] [Level 3] [Strength: 11 Dexterity: 10 Endurance: 15 Intelligence: 19 Mind: 18] Renewal Two days later¡ Derek had just finished another training exercise and gained another level up. He put all five of the points he just earned into his Endurance stat to allow him to complete more trainings. Derek had also learned by experimenting in those two days that food slightly improves stamina when eaten. This discovery would allow him to get more exercises by eating after losing much of his stamina. His physical stats having improved more than double also had a more pronounced impact than Derek thought it would. He felt much stronger than before and would get tired much less than before, he was in much better physical shape after only three days of training. [Derek Vega] [Novice] [Level 10] [HP: 2400] [MP: 2000] [Stamina: 85/100] [Strength: 20] [Dexterity: 20] [Endurance: 28] [Intelligence: 20] [Mind: 20] [Skills] [Vulcanus Vessel: 30% Exp gain. (10 min CD)] Derek was initially too focused on his stats and leveling up to notice a blinking quest symbol at the corner of his vision. He was already familiar with the symbol as had taken the time to go through the menus when he first arrived in this strange world. After a short consideration he reached for the symbol and his quest menu opened. [1 New Quest] [Sender: System] {Class Trial} {Congratulation on reaching level 10. You have now qualified to select one of the many classes available to you. Press here to begin your class selection} When Derek pressed on the message screen another one materialized beside it. In this new screen was the large selection of classes now available to him. {Archer} {Barbarian} {Fighter} {Gunner} {Mage} {Rogue} {Warrior} Along with the different classes, there is also a brief description of each classes. Archer are classic bowmen and crossbowmen, attacking from long range. Barbarians are powerful close quarter combatant, who are as good at dealing damage as they are at tanking damage. Fighters are more of a natural weapon kind of fighters, this can range from street fighters to monks. Gunners are capable marksmen, using magical firearms to defeat their enemies. Mages are the most capable when it comes to using magic to their advantage, this class also has a lot of subclasses which come into play when you reach level 30. Rogues are master of the shadows, they use their sneakiness to their advantage in combat. Warriors are your classic knight archetype, some focuses more on dealing damage and some on tanking damage. ¡®This is a difficult choice; this decision will shape the rest of my time here.¡¯ Derek pondered. Derek usually preferred wizards when he played MMOs however, this time it was different. The world he was in reacted to his action and his choices. His body grew more powerful the more he increased his physical attributes. Derek¡¯s method of leveling in this world was also through the training exercises which are made easier by being in good shape. Derek decided to chose Warrior as his class, as the other melee classes didn¡¯t really appeal to him. When he chose his class, another menu appeared in front of him. [Transporting¡] And suddenly, Derek¡¯s surroundings changed. It was as if he blinked and everything around him vanished out of thin air. Before his brain had the time to process what was happening, the world around him shifted again. This time, he found himself in a forest. After only a second in his new environment, another menu propped open.If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. {Welcome to Warrior Training Ground} {Quest Begins!} {0/10 Giant Rat Slain} {10:00} ¡®That¡¯s a timer! I only have ten minutes to complete this quest. Maybe I should have brought some new equipment while I had the chance.¡¯ Derek thought. Derek started carefully walking through the jungle with his wooden sword in hand, sneaking to find some foes to slay. He quickly came behind one, a rodent just as big as he is, walking around the jungle. ¡®Alright, I just got to attack it, it can¡¯t be that hard.¡¯ Derek rationalized while sneaking behind the creature. Just as he was about to find himself behind the rat, he walked on a branch on the ground which made a noise. The rat heard it and turned around. Derek was now face to face with a giant vermin that looked aggressively at him. Before the creature could lunge towards him, Derek brought his longsword down on the rat¡¯s face stopping its movement and slicing through the creature. The rat¡¯s body digitally disappeared, and Derek was now faced with two more rats who heard the commotion. Derek made quick work of the two creatures as if he had held a sword his whole life, he stepped up to the first one and sliced its head clean off. The second one tried to take this opportunity to strike but he dexterously avoided the strike and countered with a strike of his own, obliterating the vermin. ¡®These monsters are really weak, I guess it¡¯s to be expected in a beginner dungeon. It¡¯s a good thing I increased my physical stats.¡¯ He noted. {3/10 Giant Rat Slain} {8:38} Derek continued his search for the giant rats, this time he was much more confident in his ability to exterminate them. He found himself face to face with a pod of four giant rats and readied himself. He casted his Quick Feet ability along with his Charge Ability and rushed one of the rats. [Quick Feet: Improve move speed for a short amount of time. (1 min CD)] [Charge: Slight improved move speed combined with a powered attack. (15 sec CD)] The rats stood no change, the first one died before noticing Derek¡¯s sword passing through him. The other rats all jumped towards him, but he dashed back while slicing the throat of one of the rats. He used the last few seconds of his Quick Feet to bolt towards the two remaining rats, impaling one with his longsword and took a swing at the other one quickly after to end its life. {7/10 Giant Rat Slain} {7:13} Derek had plenty of time to finish this quest, but he didn¡¯t want to squander any of his time. He was back on the hunt; this time took a little bit longer to find any mobs, but he finally encountered the three remaining. Derek walked up to the giant rats and used his Power-up Strikes cutting down each one at a time. [Power-up Strikes: 3 progressively stronger attacks with a medium weapon. (30 sec CD)] {10/10 Giant Rat Slain} {4:31} {Quest Completed!} [Transporting¡] Once again Derek was transported this time back to where he first accepted the quest, he was back in the field he was training in. Another menu appeared to congratulate him. [Congratulation on New Class, Check Skills.] Sure enough, when he opened his skill menu, there were new ones. [Warrior] [Power Strike: Use Strength to make a powerful strike. (15 sec CD)] [Body Conditioning: Increase Movement Speed, Jump, HP, and grants resistance to Knockbacks. (pas)] [Iron Body: Boosts HP, increase physical and magic resistance. (Pas)] [Cleave: Make a cleave attack to hit multiple targets. (30 sec CD)] Derek still had plenty of stamina to work with and it was still early in the afternoon, so he went right back to doing his training exercises. ¡ Evening came and Derek went back to the inn he had been staying in for the past few days. ¡®I can¡¯t stay in this village forever, doing those exercises isn¡¯t getting me as much experience anymore. I could always move to the higher tier, it probably gives way more exp but is also much more difficult. Not that I can¡¯t do it, I¡¯ve grown much stronger in only a few days, the problem is that I have to do them multiple time and my stamina bar takes a hit when I do them. I have a feeling there¡¯s a lot more to this world that I¡¯ve yet to experience.¡¯ Derek contemplated while in bed. [Exercise Option] [Difficulty Selection] [Easy: 1km Run. 10 Push-ups. 10 Sit-ups. 10 Squats.] [Moderate: 5km Run. 50 Push-ups. 50 Sit-ups. 50 Squats.] [Tough: 10km Run. 100 Push-ups. 100 Sit-ups. 100 Squats.] [Option Locked] The next day, Derek had made his mind. He would stay in Holton for a couple of days to test his new skills and to try the moderate training exercise. While doing the running part of the exercise he started using his Quick Feet skill since he had no use of his mana for anything else. In fact, later that day he received good news¡ [Skill Upgrade!] [Quick Feet: Improve move speed for a short amount of time. (1 min CD)] [Improved into] [Swift Feet: Improve move speed for a medium amount of time. (1 min CD)] The Old Man [Equipment:] [Leather Helmet] [45 Defense] [Leather Top] [120 Defense] [Leather Gloves] [30 Defense] [Leather Pants] [75 Defense] [Leather Boots] [30 Defense] [Wooden Longsword] [211 (One-handed) 361 (Two-Handed) Attack] Shortly after completing his class trial, Derek heard by the innkeeper that a caravan would be coming to town in a few days. Derek figured he could keep training until the caravan came to town, maybe he could hope on and make his way to another town. He hadn¡¯t learned much about the world he now lived in while here in Holton. However, looking at the size of the town, Derek could tell this was most likely one of the smaller towns in this world. By his estimate, Holton couldn¡¯t have more than two-hundred people living in it. Derek hoped he could go to a bigger town to find some work and make some gold. He currently only had the starting gold given to him and the starting equipment. He did notice that a present appeared in his inventory after finishing the class trial and finally took the time to open it. [New Weapon Acquired:] [Iron Longsword] [This weapon can be used with one or two hands] [360 (1H) & 510 (2H) Attack] This new sword was much better than the wooden one he was using before, so he equipped it immediately. For the next two days, Derek continued doing his Training Exercise while making use of his Swift Feet skill. While training, he managed to level up seven times. [Swift Feet: Improve move speed for a medium amount of time. (1 min CD)] On his third day of training, Derek woke up and got ready to start his exercises again. As he walked out of the Inn, Derek came face to face with someone he had never met before. A tall man stood in front of Derek with short grey hair on top of his round, rough face and a groomed grey beard hanging off his chin. Derek quickly looked at the man¡¯s equipment in case a fight broke out. A sheathed longsword was hanging from his waist with his cape covering part of it along with the right side of his body. He was wearing tattered clothes over his leather top and leather bottom. Before he could analyze him anymore, the old man spoke up. ¡°Hey kiddo, what¡¯s your name?¡± The old man asked. ¡°I¡¯m Derek, what about you?¡± Derek replied. ¡°My name¡¯s Heiden, I¡¯m here on a guard quest to protect a caravan to Mantel. We could use some more manpower if you¡¯re available for a quick journey, you would obviously be compensated for your work.¡± The old man remarked while sizing up Derek. ¡®I could maybe get some gold along with a ride to a bigger town.¡¯ Derek noted. ¡°Sure thing, when do we leave?¡± Derek inquired while offering his hand to the tall man. ¡°As soon as the horses are ready, there¡¯s not much to do here in this small village. If that works for you.¡± Heiden retorted while shaking Derek¡¯s hand. The two men agreed to meet again in a few hours to depart from Holton onto the village of Manafall, which is on the way to Mantel. Derek figured that he had enough time to get a workout in before they left town and went out to the field where he usually would train. A couple hours later, Derek met back with the old man and was introduced to the merchant named Fabrizio, the man leading the caravan. The three of them briefly talked about travel plans and got on their way to Manafall. They estimated it would take about two days to get to the town where they would rest for a day and continue their journey towards Mantel afterwards. The first day was uneventful, Derek even took the time to walk the five kilometres required for the medium training exercise and later, finished the exercise when they set up camp before sleeping. They set guard shifts between Derek and Heiden to watch over the caravan during the night, Heiden had the first one. A few hours later, he woke up Derek for his shift. Derek spent the night looking at his stats and new skills. The discovery by Derek that skills can also increasing in strength by leveling up excited him. He decided to start using his skills as much as possible, starting with his Analyze ability. He got up, went closer to the old man he had met earlier, now sleeping, and used Analyze. [Analyze: Quick Analysis. (10 min CD)] [Heiden Ziegler] [Warrior] The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. [Level 25] [Status: Injured] ¡®So, he¡¯s a warrior too, uh. Wait, Injured!?¡¯ Derek thought. It was then that Derek noticed something different on Heiden. The old man had done a good job at hiding it under his cloak, but his right arm was missing a hand. The wound didn¡¯t seem fresh to Derek, who was initially worried about missing a potential attack somehow. He composed himself and waited until his Analyze cooldown came back up. He then used it on the merchant revealing nothing of worth about the man and went back to do his guard shift. Eventually, the other two woke up and the caravan was on its way again. Derek made sure not to stare at the old man¡¯s missing right hand while travelling but Heiden noticed the young man was trying to be polite. Before he could say anything, a bolt flew past their caravan and landed on a tree nearby. Derek and Heiden reacted quickly to the attack, rushing towards the assailant not giving them any time to reload. Derek was slightly faster than the old man getting to their target using his Swift Feet skill. [Swift Feet: Improve move speed for a medium amount of time. (1 min CD)] He unsheathed his longsword while dashing to the attacker and took a swing as soon as he got there. Derek felt little resistance as his new iron sword sliced right through a goblin neck. He quickly tried to spot any movement in his surroundings and saw a bush rustle, he instantly swung his sword at the bush but this time only cutting branches. Heiden got there, saw the goblin head on the ground and spoke up. ¡°Goblins. They usually travel in packs be careful!¡± Heiden communicated while readying himself. Soon after, three goblins jump towards them from one of the bushes. This time, Heiden reacted quicker using his Cleave skill to cleave through the goblins, striking at their chest. [Cleave: Make a cleave attack to hit multiple targets. (30 sec CD)] In that moment another round of bolts fired three of them hitting the tree right behind them and the last one planting itself into Derek¡¯s leg. His vision quickly flashed red, indicating that he had taken damage, but it quickly faded, both Derek and Heiden charged the remaining goblins using their Charge skill. [Charge: Slight improved move speed and attack. (15 sec CD)] The goblins were no match for the two warriors. Heiden impaled the first one, stabbing him with his longsword and decapitated the second one, with the swing of his sword. Derek, despite the bolt in his leg, carved through the first goblin and viciously sliced the other goblin in two. After making sure there weren¡¯t anymore goblins around, Heiden crouched down towards one of the dead goblins and a menu appeared. Heiden looked at Derek and said. ¡°Don¡¯t forget to loot your kills, kiddo.¡± Heiden mentioned while looting. Derek bent down towards one of the goblins he had killed and the same thing happened, a menu appeared. [Goblin Corpse:] [Iron Dagger] [300 Attack] [10 Gold] [Loot] Derek and Heiden looted the rest of the goblins and both went back to the caravan. After explaining to the merchant what had happened, the caravan was back on track. Derek only looted gold on the rest of the goblins gaining a measly 21 gold. He also didn¡¯t pay much attention to his wound, but his heath bar barely took a hit when the bolt hit him. To be sure, he used his Recovery skill to gain back his HP. [Recovery: Recover HP & MP for 30 sec. (10 min CD)] Derek also took the time to examine the new dagger he had looted from one of the goblins. [Iron Dagger] [Adaptable: This item can use your Strength or Dexterity stat for your attacks] [Light: This weapon is light and can be used along with another weapon] [Throw: This weapon can be thrown to make a ranged attack] [283 Attack] ¡®Wow, this thing is sweet. I can use it along with my sword and it will increase my attack stat greatly. It would give me more damage than if I used my longsword two-handed.¡¯ Derek observed as he equipped the dagger. The caravan was approaching the village of Manafall, they could see it on the horizon. ¡°Have you ever been there, sir?¡± Derek asked Heiden. ¡°Manafall? No, I mostly lived in the west before I decided to become an adventurer.¡± The old man replied. ¡°What about you?¡± He continued. ¡°No, it¡¯s my first time out of Holton. This place looks huge compared to that.¡± Derek explained. ¡°I guess compared to that place it must look gigantic. Wait till you see Mantel, kiddo. Or wait till you see the capital.¡± Heiden snorted. ¡°Cities in this world are gigantic and they¡¯re inhabited by millions of people. it is said that the capital of this kingdom is the biggest city in the world, housing one hundred million people. It helps that building houses is much easier in this world and that a lot of people can fit in those.¡± He followed ¡°I have a lot to learn, uh?¡± Derek pointed out. ¡°Yes, you do, kiddo.¡± Heiden playfully confirmed. With their conversation fizzling out, they finally arrived at Manafall.
