《The Inheritor》
Prologue
In a secluded village filled with vegetation far from the city noises and inanimate lifestyle.
A towering man with intimidating muscular physique was sitting on a broken-bench in the road platform. His clothing was faded out, and the t-shirt was almost in rugs.
This man''s sloppy attire and unkempt hair portrayed a defeated man by the series of failures and disasters throughout his life. His messy apparel would earn the pity of any stranger.
If the by-standers pitying him were to look into his eyes, they would be left with nothing but awe and veneration.
Contrast to the unappealing attire; his eyes were like a deep icy abyss devouring one''s soul. Anyone could tell that he''s a man with great stories and tragedies.
If a person close this man were to see him sitting on a dusty broken bench like a beggar, they would be gaping till their jaws fell off. Because he''s Alistair Jones, head of the leading multinational company in the world. Besides, he''s also one of the richest men in the world.
****
Thirty years ago
Alistair Jones, the heir to Jones family one of the wealthiest families in the country. He led a very valiant and somewhat lavish life with doting parents and carefree childhood. But everything changed after one fateful mishap; when Alistair was 12 years old, his parents met with an accident and died.
Unlike typical relatives, his relatives neither consoled nor supported him; instead, they were like crazy starving wolves, craving over his inheritance.
Alistair being an intelligent yet na?ve kid, couldn''t preserve his rightful property; his heartless uncles ripped everything from him.
Left with nothing but he had to run for his life. He was intelligent, but you have to be shrewd to survive the cruel world. The meagre amount of money he was left with was either spent or stolen or cheated, leaving him with nothing but hunger.
But his dignity wouldn¡¯t allow him to beg or steal, and thus he just stood in the corner waiting for his death. This self-respect was ingrained into him from birth, and it was tough to forgo something this deep-rooted.
Later that day, a sturdy bald man walked to famished Alistair, "Are you willing to come with me?"
He didn''t make it clear whether he wants to adopt Alistair or take him as a servant, but Alistair agreed without any qualms and followed the man to a mansion. Later Alistair was surprisingly adopted by Roy.
Roy did not have family and treated Alistair as his own kid. Alistair was burning inside to get his revenge. But his enemies were very really powerful and influential; moreover, they had just swallowed his assets, so they were bound to become even stronger.
Though money cannot buy everything in the world, it could buy almost everything in the world. Quinn learned these through the hard way; he resolved himself to become stronger than them to get his revenge.
But he buried all his hatred deep inside his heart, afraid of causing difficulties to Roy. But God did not entirely give up Alistair; Roy was an ex-military General with tremendous influence and connections across the country. When Alistair found Roy''s identity, he immediately shared his tragic past and begged him for help.
Fortunately, or unfortunately, Roy wasn''t willing to involve himself with those cunning beasts; he just wanted a peaceful retired life. Instead of directly clashing with them, Roy promised that he would train Quinn strong enough to fulfil his wish.
Alistair¡¯s rage turned him into hot steel, and Roy was the best blacksmith. He went through special ops training that was never tested; the training program was formulated by Roy.
The harsh training moulded Alistair into a cold, detached, and ruthless person. He also got the necessary business education required for amassing money.
With just his physical strength, he could quickly assassinate his relatives; but he wished to plunder everything they own and show them real despair and torture them to death.
After fifteen years of groundwork, he ventured into the business world with a new identity as Roy''s son. He wore a disguise to hide from his relatives since Alistair resembled his father a lot.
With Roy''s backing, Alistair targeted all the bugs in the society that sucked people''s money.
He took over their assets through many unfair and foul means. It was like a hungry cunning beast hunting its prey, the people targeted felt utter despair to the extent some of those men even committed suicide.
The money soaked in the blood of innocent citizens of the country, so Alistair never had even the tiniest bit of guilt or regret. To some extent, it could be said that his entire business empire was built over the corpse of these people.
Not only did he grab their property, after taking control of their entire belongings, but he would also personally assassinate them.
Though Alistair was a successful entrepreneur, his social life was an utter failure; he always thriving to become stronger and stronger. He did not have a single friend much less a lover, though he had many subordinates; they all feared him and were very far from being a friend.
Roy was not the best father, he was too rigid and indifferent to everything around him except for his passion for drinking. Though he truly loved Alistair, he never showered him with love; he was more of a strict trainer than of a loving father. If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
It could be said that Alistair''s twisted personality was partially due to Roy''s influence.
As Alistair''s business grew, his reputation also developed, he was depicted as a deadly demon for the corrupt while a guardian angel for good; further isolating him by keeping him in a pedestal.
Actually, he was neither a guardian angel nor heroic person; the only reason he destroyed these people was to confiscate their property to quickly develop; he chooses the evil to avoid guilt and regret later on.
Moreover, he developed a strong bloodlust during his training, so killing people was the only way to quench his bloodthirst. Killing always needs a justifiable reason, so Alistair targeted the sinful criminals and corrupt ones.
Inadvertently he became an Invincible Dark hero in many people''s hearts. Though he never thought himself to be the hero kind of guy, still Alistair didn''t bother to refute them.
When he was 33 years old, Alistair started his long waited revenge. He slowly planned and weaved an inescapable net around them.
Actually, at this point, the business empire had more than enough power to directly crush them to their death. But he desired to show his lovely relatives a living hell and then slowly kill them to sooth his burning anger.
In the grand scheme, he made them lose all their assets and filled them with debts until they were chocked. The whole plan took 3 years; though he was strong, his relatives were also mammoths, and to cripple them silently was a very challenging task.
He destroyed them slowly, ripping off the flesh while they were alive. They lost their luxury, their house and cars, and everything. All those who were involved and even their children were now in slums, devoid of self-respect and dignity.
There were times when the whole family wanted to commit suicide, but they did not have the guts to do so. After facing humiliation and suffering for months, they were still could not find the person in the shadow.
A year later, Alistair came to their shabby hut, and "Do you regret it?"
Only then his uncle, the present head of the family, realized the chain of events. Alistair had a spitting image of his father, and the dark clouds swirling cleared.
All their suffering was his own niece, his elder brother''s son exacting his revenge on them.
After realizing this, the old man''s blood boiled in rage, till this moment, he was left with no place to vent his anger. He always believed their deterioration was just misfortune.
Now that he knew it was all orchestrated by Alistair, he truly lost his sanity and pounced towards Alistair to kill him.
When Alistair saw his uncle jumping towards him, he shook his head while gracefully side-stepping; after a dodge, he sent a powerful punch without the least bit of hesitation. That punch was filled with all his pent-up hatred and anger.
His uncle was an old man, and Alistair was trained by a military general in one of the world''s most torturous training. There was no suspense all the odds were stacked against his uncle; the old man just collapsed after coughing some blood from the tyrannical punch.
Then few of his bodyguards rushed over. Seeing the sharp and sturdy bodyguards'' other family members who were having thoughts of fighting knew it would be futile and thus surrendered.
Then Alistair grabbed his uncle, who was unconscious and gave him a tight slap which woke him. Then he asked again, "Do you regret it?"
His uncle shouted back with all his energy, "yes, yes, I really regret it. I should have killed you along with your parents. It was my foolishness and ignorance for being soft-hearted to the son of that bastard."
When Alistair heard that his parents were actually murdered, a sudden burst of rage took over him; though he suspected his parent''s death wasn''t an accident. He couldn''t dig into as it''s been years since their demise.
Now that his bastard acknowledged it, he felt a sudden rage took over him; thus, he a powerful kick and few stomps calming down. But his uncle did not shout or cry for help but just silently tolerated the pain. After beating his uncle into pulp, he looked around and saw all his other relatives shivering in fright.
"Break one of their hands, and it must be permanently disabled," and then he swiftly turned around and left the house. At first, he planned on killing them, but later, he decided to keep them alive as it would cause a lot more suffering and agony.
While he walking out, he heard the shouts and screams of his relatives. Alistair quickened his pace as he went over to his car and leaned over it while taking a puff from his premium cigar.
Ten minutes later, his assistant reported that they have completed his order. Then Alistair drove to a local pub nearby and drunk till he passed out.
When rumours spread about his ruthless revenge, it instilled fear into all the people. The rumours, as usual, were multiplied a few times, making it even more bloody and petrifying.
The next day when he woke up, he felt a sudden hollowness inside him; it was as though he has lost his sole purpose for living, Alistair felt more like a walking dead.
All his life till then was about revenge and hatred towards those who wronged him.
Now that he''s got what he yearned the most, it was like losing a part of yourself.
Much to his surprise, he didn''t get any sort of satisfaction or liberation by destroying them, nor did it give him a sense of peace. All he achieved through his revenge was forging himself into a demon whose hands were filled with the blood of numerous people.
Roy passed away a few years ago due to his old ailment, and Alistair lost his last relative. Thus Alistair went through an utter solitary and loneliness; the solitude drove him crazy and pushed to the brink of mental breakdown.
To prevent himself from turning into a psychopath, Alistair entirely dwelled into business and worked like a mad man day-in and day-out to develop his company into one of the giants of the business world.
Even then, he couldn''t find the inner peace he yearned. Thus he chose to travel around the world in search of answers. Soon he withdrew from the company and started the voyage.
He visited numerous monasteries, temples, abbeys, and what not in search of inner peace; he even practised various meditation and yoga, but all his efforts were in vain.
After a few years of adventure, he still failed to find answers, but Alistair somehow managed to calm himself and enjoyed experiencing many different and fascinating things.
His journey wasn''t entirely useless; Alistair managed to control his bloodthirst and violent tendencies.
And now he was sitting on the bench in a remote town. He''s here to enjoy it''s peaceful yet beautiful sceneries without any disturbances. As for his attire, it was because he did not want to be identified by others. So he chose a comfortable casual dress.
He was too lazy to care about his appearance; Alistair was genuinely relaxing and appreciating the solitude and serenity of this town.
Opposite to the bench across the road, an old lady was selling a few local sweets with her granddaughter. The small kid was around 10 and ran around with a small basket of full sweets.
When the child saw Alistair looking at her, she mistook him for a potential customer and quickly ran towards him to sell the sweet. Alistair noticed the small kid running towards him, so he just nodded with a smile.
At the same time, a speeding truck came down the lane, and the driver seemed to have lost his control.
Alistair realized that the truck would most probably run over the kid, and thus, he instantaneously dived forward to save her.
Though he saved the kid, Alistair landed himself in a bloody mess because, as he recklessly dived to save the girl, he got hit by the speeding truck. Everything happened so quickly that even Alistair with superhuman strength couldn''t escape and soon realized that he was marching towards the inevitable end, the death.
Alistair turned his head and saw the kid crying while repeatedly apologizing to him.
''''What a sensible kid.''''
He thought, and a familiar yet distant warm current welled up inside when he heard the old women
"Sir Stay with us don''t lose the consciousness; please don''t die on us sir the ambulance is on the way.""
Only at this moment did it dawn to him; what he really yearned all along was this warm feeling that he had lost long ago. He wanted a family, a few real friends, comrades, and brothers. He shunned himself from the light of the world for far too long that he lost even the necessary touch of warm.
''''So the world''s top businessman and the most ruthless man is this stupid.''''
Alistair was lamenting over his stupidity for not figuring it out sooner. He felt like ramming his head into the wall for travelling all over the world in search of love. But at the same time, he really wanted to thank this little girl and the old lady for helping him find the answer; at least he could die with an answer.
''''Whatever at least I could see my mom and dad, ho yea! that old man too,'''' then he died in the ambulance.
Ch 1 Inheritor
Alistair woke up and found himself inside a white room. The room was sealed entirely without any door or window, and oddly it didn''t have a speck of dust.
It was filled with countless floating yellowish-white lights floating. The 360 degrees'' vision helped Alistair realize that he was also a white ball.
As there was no means for measuring the time, it was both depressing and hollow. Slowly few of the souls started to dim out and fade; this process continued on for a long time.
The torturous silent would drive anyone to the verge of insanity; an extreme test to one''s patience and willpower.
After who knows how long all the souls except Alistair vanished. Alistair sometimes felt like aeons passed since his death, but at times it would feel like just a few years has passed by; it was very confusing and driving him crazy.
The only reason he was able to survive was his strong will and curiosity. Immediately after the last soul vanished Alistair heard an ancient senile voice
"Congrats on passing the test."
After that, there was a short pause; Alistair was left wondering.
"I know you have any questions, but I''m running short of time. So just listen carefully and consider the options given to you before answering."
Without giving Alistair any time to provide the response, the old man continued.
"I''m Earth''s Guardian. Each planet would have its own guardian who is responsible for safeguarding the planet."
"Both the Planet and Guardian are interdependent and interrelated. Guardians derive many powers from the world; the only limitation is that they can''t possess emotion or conscious or soul.
To put it simply, we are like a set of programs that will be executed in different scenarios."
The old man said as if he was stating well-established facts.
"But I''m an exception I have emotions and soul. I''m the only guardian with conscious and soul in the universe, which is a result of an accident. Now let me tell you the reason for testing you. Many aeons ago, Earth was the world''s strongest planet in the whole universe."
"Back then, Earth was the heart of the whole universe and holy land for cultivators. All the top clans, sects, and other influence had their headquarters on Earth."
"Like all good things must come to an end, Earth faced a very tough trial. A mega explosion took place near Earth, which gave birth to a Cosmic black hole.
Only when the planet nearest to Earth was devoured did everyone realized the magnitude of the disaster. To save their precious cultivation holy land, all powerhouses across the universe joined hands, temporarily setting aside their grudges and differences."
"It was perceived that with all powerhouses to boot the can win over anything. Blinded by their arrogance, all rushed to the core of the cosmic black hole to destroy it.
Reality wasn''t going to go easy on them, and in a matter of minutes, everyone died. But they didn''t sacrifice themselves in vain. After devouring Earth, the Cosmic Black Hole closed and suddenly vanished from the face of the universe."This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.
Narrating everything in one breath, the old man let out a long sigh filled with a myriad of complex emotions.
"I somehow survived that disaster with broken Earth''s core and got stuck in the void current. The void current was filled with dead souls of the powerhouses and treasures that they had before death.
A white box floating in the space; a sudden suction sucked everything in the Void Current, including the dead souls, treasures, Damaged Core, and me."
"Only then I realized that the Cosmic black hole was actually caused by this White Box''s birth. The Cosmic Black Hole vanished only because of devouring enough power to support the white box."
"After entering the box, all the dead souls miraculously merged with me, and the treasures with the Earth''s core. The souls that merged gave me a soul, conscious, and emotions."
"Even this miracle couldn''t completely heal the planet, and the once prestigious Earth reduced to the lowest level of the world in the universe. Moreover, Earth could not unite with the universe because of my existence. A guardian with consciousness was defiance of the natural order."
"Without Universe''s, Will Earth will be certainly meet its end. So to safeguard our planet I''ll self-destruct, and things will go order.
After my death, the Earth would face numerous natural calamities to of set the imbalances in the planet. But after achieving equilibrium Earth would be integrated itself with the universe as the weakest world."
"Nevertheless, I would have completed my duty as a Guardian. Though I''m not afraid of death, the knowledge that was left by the people who sacrificed their lives trying to save the Earth should not be lost."
"Hence, I have two missions for you. The first mission, you must inherit the entire legacy. The second mission is to find suitable discipline or owner for some specific inheritance."
"You''ll have two challenges; Firstly, the inheritance can be completely irrelevant because I roughly estimated a minimum of 50 million years should have passed.
Secondly, you cannot drop out any part of the legacy before achieving the same level as their owner.
"Now make your choice after careful consideration. If you accept, then you would be reborn in some other planet with the inheritance and the White box after it merges with your soul. If you reject, then I would erase your memory and sent you back to Earth."
Alistair was smart and figured the crux of the problem. The secret behind his success was his meticulous calculations and cautious approach.
''So the inheritance will have deviated from the present and a bit outdated. Huh¡In short, I can''t concentrate on a single path and the inheritance will be outdated.''
''Anyway I don''t have much to do in Earth and so let''s go on a new adventure.''
"Okay, Mr Guardian, I will accept your offer." Alistair decided to accept after long contemplation.
"hahaha, I really did not select the wrong person. You are really a valiant and compassionate person" the old man laughed and praised Alistair.
If any of Alistair''s enemy were to hear this, they would be coughing litres of blood. Alistair was the cruellest and most conceited person they ever knew.
"In case you are curious about your selection, I picked a particular second before I lost my powers and bought all people who died at that exact second to the white box and then filtered those who did moral acts at their last second.
Then I tested their willpower by keeping their soul in isolation until only one remained. This is how you were selected. I''m satisfied with you so congrats my INHERITOR."
"After I die, my soul will merge with the white box, but my will would return to Earth for creating a new guardian. So the soul formed in the white box is essentially a separated being not in the least bit connected to me.
Even after long research, I failed to find out what are its functions all I could do is either enter or exit. So this treasure is for you to explore but don''t underestimate this box. It surely has some terrifying secrets hidden waiting for you. I''m not sure after how long you would be reborn, but you will undoubtedly be reborn."
After the guardian''s voice vanished, the whole white room started to disintegrate into tiny white particles and entered Alistair''s soul. This was an excruciating process at least a hundred times worse than Roy''s training.
It felt like superheating the whole body and then puncturing it with ice-cold needles it will sooth the heat, but the pain of piercing went to the deepest part of the soul.
Alistair couldn''t bear the pain, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn''t faint. After a long time, the torture ended while sending him into a deep coma.
Ch 2 Quinn Moore
After a long time, Alistair awoke, but he couldn''t see, hear, smell or feel anything. It was a terrifying experience a lot more frightening than the absolute silence in the white room.
Time rolled by and he gained his senses one-by-one, first his sense of touch. Slowly the torturous experience became blissful and ecstatic because he found a truth.
He was reborn into a woman''s stomach and blessed with loving parents. Unfortunately, most of life till now was spent in sleep; so far he had only learnt their name ¨C Helena and Andre.
*******
18th June 9604 Locus Era.
Alistair''s born. He was keenly observing everything around him.
The windows were tightly shut, and the door was closed. Even then, the room was filled with fresh air.
Before he could recover from the shock, he was lifted. Only then did he look for the people. There were totally three people in the room.
Middle-aged women who looked ordinary in every aspect, he been carried by her.
Behind her a lean, handsome young man in his mid-twenties. The fair face coupled with white hair and deep black eyes gave him a scholarly look, yet his muscles seemed to super explosive.
Then a tired woman lying on the bed beside him attracted his attention. She was just like a beautiful angel; even the ordinary white dress couldn''t mask her beauty.
Alistair felt a faint connection or bonding with the man and the women lying in bed. With just one look into their eyes, he knew they were his parents, no soul in this universe could have such pure, unaltered love.
The one carrying him was that mid-aged women, she must be the midwife. She was cold and but her eyes just blank, or there was no life in it.
"Dear bring the baby to me, let me have a good look at him," Helena asked Andre there were eagerness and affection in her voice.
Then his father took him from the women''s hand gently and placed him on Helena''s lap.
She stared at him for a long time before giving a bright smile.
"Andre look, the kid''s just like you; he''s surely going to disturb many beauties sleep once he grows."
Helena lovingly said as she was appreciating his beauty, which made him blush.
"Yea, he will surely be well accomplished with many wives and even more girls chasing him, whose son do you think he is?"
Both the couple was bickering completely ignoring the midwife. Though Alistair was eager to learn more about his new life, sudden drowsiness came over him, and he slowly slipped into a deep sleep.
"Hey, Andre what can we name him?"
His mother was lovingly caressing Alistair, as she asked her husband without lifting her head.
"Pass him over, let me take a good look at our son."
His father took Alistair from his mother and teased his little baby a bit.
"Helena, how about Quinn?"
Andre asked Helena, and Helena nodded.
"Hey, sleepyhead you''re Quinn Moore. Do you like your name Kiddo?"
Thus Alistair got his new name without his consent. The couple started to get rowdier conveniently, forgetting their kid in a deep sleep.
"Madame, young master is asleep, so please don''t disturb him."
The midwife reminded Helena in a monotonous tone. Immediately both his parents stopped talking and then his father went out.The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
*******
Alistair found himself in the white room again, but this time he was a small baby and not in his soul form.
A few seconds later, 10 years old little kid suddenly appeared. The kid was bald and wearing a long yellow robe which turned him into a cute little Shaolin monk.
The black pupils were too bright and pure, filled with innocence.
[Welcome Host. Congratulations enduring the painful fusion; I''m the treasured soul or Zenith box''s soul. My name is Elgar.]
Elgar''s voice was like a small kid but was filled with wisdom like hearing an old sage''s words.
"Nice to meet you Elgar and how old are you."
Alistair was curious about Elgar''s real age as he was too mature to be a kid.
[Host my age is the same as you or I was born with you]
Alistair was really shocked to see a new baby in a ten-year-old kid. Nevertheless, he quickly recovered as he has seen plenty of bizarre stuff recently, which made him numb to such peculiar happenings.
"Elgar what is this Zenith box and where can I find the legacies left by the guardian."
Alistair was curious about the treasure that could devour planets, but he would never forget a promise a he made.
[Host, all the information in the inheritance are from existence far beyond your present level. So only after start cultivation can the legacy be passed over to you, corresponding to your cultivation realm.
The legacies are very diverse, and many of them are conflicting, some are complimentary, while others should be practised singly.
So to help you Zenith box used up enormous spirit energy it stored to form a unique physique for Host that has never appeared in-universe.
There are many types of physiques in the universe like holy angel physique, blood demon physique, extreme yang physique, extreme yin physique, thunder god physique and many more, each has their own forts.
Zenith Box has constructed Primordial Chaotic physique; it mainly helps in concurrent cultivation of different cultivation methods.]
''Well, it seems like I can never lead a normal life, whichever world I''m born into; I''m bound to outshine others and make people jealous.''
He grinning ear to ear; even Alistair himself felt that he was a bit too narcissistic.
Though Alistair boasted a bit, it was true that he was the best in whatever field he ventured in his past life.
If you take a list of top fierce fighters in the world, he would be there in it, and he was one of the wealthiest people his previous life.
[Host Zenith box has spent nearly all its energy transforming your physique. The spirit energy can only be replenished externally. So till then to conserve energy Zenith Box will go into temporary shut-down.]
[Host a unique cultivation manual is needed to maximize benefits from Primordial Chaotic physique; I will create it during the shut-down period.
The manual will be passed on to you after one year, only then will your brain be sufficiently developed enough to withstand the transferal burden. Host Zenith Box will shut-down in ten seconds.]
Immediately Elgar vanished; he was like a thief escaping from the cop. After Elgar vanished the room dimmed a bit and 10 seconds later Alistair was sent back to his body.
Alistair had a nagging feeling of missing some vital detail. Thus he decided to think over his entire conversation with Elgar to find the problem. Alistair''s intuition was something he always trusted.
After rigorous contemplation and reflection, Alistair zeroed down to the problem. His situation was a bit too heaven-defying with both inheritance and overpowered physique.
It was like a pie falling from the sky. With this advantage, Quinn could complete the guardian''s mission at ease.
Moreover, Elgar departure was suspicious too. Hence, Alistair decided to learn more about his physique from Elgar next time.

July 9609 Locus Era
A boy was playing with 8-sided Rubik''s cube. His hands were lighting fast; an ordinary person would only see a pair of blurry hands.
The kid was about 5 years old; he was very fair with light blue pupils. His silky smooth black hair made him irresistible. When he solved the cube, a light shot out from the ball. The kid absent-mindedly looked at the perfect 8-sided Rubik''s cube in his hands.
The kid is Alistair, no now, it''s Quinn. It''s been 5 years since his rebirth. He had a very satisfying and pleasant life so far. The planet he''s currently residing is Unigux.
He''s in Peace River city of Yarland country which is located in a remote corner of the country. There are no different continents in Unigax it is just a single landmass with many islands around it.
Every person in Unigax is a cultivator, or non-cultivators aren''t legal citizens of Unigax. The different realms in cultivation divide the whole population into different classes.
This world is technologically very advanced, there are no computers or smartphones; instead, people use personal implants. A small chip is implanted in the hands which shoots holographic projections.
Each implant will have an A.I. installed in them; it''s like your personal assistant they help in innumerable ways.
The types of vehicles are still the same look-a-like cars, bikes, buses with boosters instead of wheels. They are generally operated by androids, or if it is an advanced machine, then it will have an inbuilt A.I.
Actually, the maid in his house was an android; which he confirmed with painful encounter.
Obviously Quinn was curious, thus he tried cut maid''s skin using a kitchen knife to check if she really was an android.
But his experiment was a failure, as the knife couldn''t even damage her skin much less investigating her internal structure.
Somehow his mother found this, and his bumps turned into red plum after a good beating.
Actually, all manual works are replaced with androids like servants, drivers, chefs, patrol and what not. But the city isn''t filled with androids or androids has not replaced humans completely. As the product or service produced by a human is more luxurious and desired.
This is because all cultivators will innately release some Qi from their body just like exhaling. If cultivator, for example, cooks, then the food prepared by the cultivator will contain a portion of qi which is beneficial for other cultivators.
The same applies to all the profession, and there are many different ranks within each profession.
Ch 3 Grandpa Blake
Handcrafted goods are superior to robot made ones. Typically, rich and powerful ones enjoy the handcrafted products while weak and impoverished can only afford the mass machine produced ones.
Just like the earth - the rich get richer; the poor get poorer, Or the survival of the fittest.
There¡¯s one fundamental difference though, the theory survival of the fittest is widely accepted by all the people of Unigux. On the other hand, on earth, people try to overthrow this theory in many ways. For the people of Unigux, this theory is just like the law of gravity humans on earth.
Quinn''s parents are running an ordinary restaurant in the city. He has been there a few times, it¡¯s a small restaurant with only 5 employees; it was always crowded. His father''s the chief cook while his mother manages the restaurant.
All the information he¡¯s got so far is from the interaction with the customers of the restaurant. Everyone loved cute kids, and Quinn could be considered as the cutest kid around; thus, he''s popular with the customers.
His parents were just ordinary cultivators with decent strength, he did not know their exact realm, but he gauged their power to be slightly above average cultivators.
Actually, Quinn was content with his lifestyle, in his past life though he was born with a silver spoon and loving parents; but they didn''t have much spare time to spend with him.
Andre and Helena shower Quinn with love and he too behaved like an ordinary kid before his parents.
At times he would act a bit mature and exhibited some talents. These were to make his parents happy and proud of having a bright kid and a few other advantages.
Overall he was very content with his present life; he had a loving and doting parent who spoiled him a lot. Their living condition was very pretty ordinary yet a filling one.
The only thing that bothered him was access to gadgets. He was only given a few tech toys like the Rubik''s cube. He did not have a Personal Implant of his own. So his information was limited to what he gets from the customers of the restaurant and his parents.
*****
Back to present¡.
"The record is broken!! New record 4.34 minutes" beautiful women appeared from the blue ball and stood behind the cube.
When Quinn heard the announcement, he immediately awoke. He was stunned, realizing that he broke his own record. The previous record was set by him 8 months ago; then he challenged himself to break his own record in 9 months.
But that challenge was like a ban of his life, and he failed thousands of times and finally, he broke the record after 8 months. But before he could celebrate the door opened and his father called for him.
"Hey kiddo, come greet Grandpa Blake."
Immediately the cube shrunk and it became 3x3 Rubik''s cube, the women also vanished.
Quinn was amazed to find that he had relatives; he always presumed that they had no relatives. Now that a Grandpa suddenly popped up, he was eager to meet.
Though the tragedies of his past life were caused by evil relatives Quinn didn''t develop any sort of prejudice against relatives or family as a whole; in fact, during his voyage, he encountered many kind-hearted people who were supporting or loving their kin.
Moreover, Quinn was resolved to lead a different path in this life, and he sincerely wished for having a large group of warm and affectionate relatives in this life.
Quinn walked to the hall with his father and found his mother talking with a bald old man.
The old man was wearing a reddish-black robe; his looks were very average as ordinary as a bookkeeper.
One would forget his face if they didn''t take extra pains to register, to most he will be like a passerby. Nothing stood out about him that made him unique. He was a stark contrast to his gorgeous parents.
When his mother and the old man sensed their arrival, they stopped their conversation and turned towards him. And then the old man eyed his father and mother as if was asking their consent for something.
After his parents nodded their head solemnly; the old man started mumbling something. The moment he started his mumbling, the calm and gentle aura around him transformed into an overbearing majestic aura, he was like an evil tyrant king brimming with arrogance and intense Killing Intent.Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
Strangely it only lasted for a short period till; then his eyes turned white like a blind old man, his previous majestic aura was like an illusion or a misconception.
But strangely Quinn felt the white eyes even more terrifying than the tyrannical aura. He started to panic; the eyes were threatening to see through all his secrets; it was as if they were lying bare before the terrifying eyes.
"Truly strange this brat has a Grade 10 natal soul."
The old man was muttering in a low voice, but since it was extremely silent, Quinn and his parents heard it clearly. When his parents listened to this, they were blooming with a smile and were literally over the moon.
"But he only has a Grade 2 innate body, this type of body constitution is one in a million possibility; actually this is a disaster."
The second part of the sentence was like pouring a bucket full of cold water; his parent''s joyous mood turned gloomy, but still, there was no despair or helplessness in their eyes.
Immediately the very next second, they recovered with a confident smile. The present scene gave out an ethereal flavour, loving parents are a different breed altogether.
''Only parents love can be this unconditional.''
Considering their expressions, he re-checked Quinn, yet he still got the same result.
"Do not worry; there are many people in history who has achieved great heights with a strong soul but weak body."
He tried to lift the heavy mood, even Quinn could tell he was trying to cheer up his parents.
The innate body was the very base of cultivation - higher the Grade body easier it is to cultivate. Unfortunately, no treasure could improve the body constitution before cultivation.
The grade of the innate body and natal soul will determine the size and purity of the core formation, which is the beginning of cultivation.
After starting to cultivate the body and soul will strengthen, but the Core will never change. Actually, the soul can never progress before cultivation, while the physical body has some scope of improvement with some strenuous exercises.
Even then a physical body can never be enhanced beyond 2 grades; this meant the maximum Grade Quinn can reach is Grade 4.
Blake knew the young couple very well; he was sure they were going to search for Blood stabilizing treasures for Qi transfusion.
He secretly shook his head; he was well aware of the complications and difficulties involved. The probability succeeding is very less, and failure meant a horrible death.
Destruction of cultivation realm is only the best-case scenario, and it can even lead to death in worse cases.
This is the truth known to the world but Blake the harsher reality of Qi Transfusion.
Normally, Qi transmission is only done by parents who extremely dote their children. Because it must be done whole-heartedly else Qi will destroy the recipient.
Before Blake could convince them not to do Qi transfusions, Helena spoke while signalling him to remain to keep his mouth shut.
"Quinn, go to your room and play for a while, dad and Grandpa Blake has some important work."
Helena told Quinn to return to the room. Quinn knew that his mother will get angry if he refuses.
He completely ignored the old man who was standing dumbfounded and ran back to his room. Old Blake shook his head, seeing the boy.
''He''s really has a Grade 10 mortal soul.''
Blake was felt both proud and dejected at the same time.
"Hey, guys let''s go outside and talk."
Helena suggested, and the other two agreed.
All of them went to the lawn, though it was a small lawn it was well maintained and the whole house was covered by trees which made it very beautiful scenery. Any person who saw it will forget their worry and adore the beauty of this place.
Well, there will always be exceptions like the three sitting around the table in the lawn. The couple was silent and too quiet while the old man was slightly nervous, and traces of fear could be seen in his eyes.
"Sorry father, the kid is a bit too intelligent, but he is still a kid, so please forgive him."
Andre apologized to old Blake for Quinn''s rude behaviour in a very respectful manner, but there was a small grin on his face. When Blake saw the smile, he immediately knew that he was is in deep shit.
Blake thoroughly understood the situation. When he found Quinn''s constitution, Blake was so shocked that he forgot Quinn, who was standing in the room.
Though Quinn might not understand what Grade 2 mortal body meant he is bound to learn it and is sure to suffer.
"Enough Andre, you are just like a small kid. You fully realize that it was not my father''s fault; father is just a bit old. Isn''t that right dad?"
Helena chided Andre and asked Blake in a sombre tone with a cold smile.
If these were said by anyone other person, a straight punch would be flying at him. But now beads of sweats dripped down Blake''s forehead and tremble all over when he saw Helena''s smile.
He knew Helena very well if Andre was a sharp blade then Helena was a terrible poisonous needle. He knew if denial wouldn''t help, surrendering was the way out.
"Yes, yes, Helena, I surrender. It''s because I became old and senile that I couldn''t quickly recover from the shock and revealed everything to that brat. So please forgive your poor old father."
Blake completely surrendered; he would have fought if it was Andre, but he could only accept his defeat with Helena here.
The main reason he submitted is that Helena was like a daughter to him like the saying goes one can never win his own daughter. Helena is his Adopted daughter.
While Blake was apologizing, Quinn went to his room and sat on the bed calmly. He understood his parents very well, and from their expression, he knew Grade 2 mortal body was a severe problem.
Though he couldn¡¯t realize the severity of the issue, he was sure that it was a side effect of his Primordial Chaotic physique.
Moreover, Quinn had the confidence to overturn any kind of misfortune; after all, he had everything he wished so wasn¡¯t going despair in the face of a small set back.
Ch 4 The Stats Screen
Actually, Quinn was not disappointed with Blake for revealing his mortal constitution. He was very excited to get meet his first relative. Moreover, he never met grandparents in his past life, so this was a new experience for him.
The reason he ignored him was because he revealed such a piece of information which was sure to push his parents into doing something idiotic and dangerous.
He was pondering a plan to prevent them; though he knew Blake will convince them against doing anything stupid. Quinn still decided to have a backup plan, he knew love can make people mad.
In Earth, there have many such incidences like a person killing or robbing to get money for saving his child, or killing a person for their organs to transplant it to their children.
He didn¡¯t want to lose his parents again; he would rather not cultivate at all if his parents were the price.
However, he couldn¡¯t think of anything that would convince his parents. His mind wandered
from one random thought to another, and finally, Quinn recalled his last meeting with Elgar.
*****
Four years ago¡
On his 1st birthday, there was a grand party in his house with all his parent¡¯s friends. After an exhausting party, Quinn slept soundly.
A few minutes later, he was teleported to Zenith box. Elgar was waiting for him, but the room was slightly dull.
Not only was the room dull even Elgar was very pale awfully and looked tried. Elgar looked like a malnourished and abused slave who made Quinn somewhat guilty.
[Welcome and Happy Birthday Host, Zenith box presents the Chaotic Divergent Synthesis manual and Origin Soul manual as a gift. Host Chaotic Divergent Synthesis manual is the technique created specifically for your physique and Origin Soul manual is a part of your legacy.]
[Only Primordial Chaotic Physique can practice Chaotic Divergent Synthesis manual if any other person were to use this technique they will die. So it¡¯s advisable not to reveal about the manual to others.]
[Origin Soul manual is the only cultivation method within the legacy that you could use before cultivation, it will strengthen your soul. Also, you wouldn¡¯t have any sort of guidance or previous references to help; thus, you will be on your own.
To practice, Origin soul manual one must not have any cultivation. Since the condition was very harsh, the creator of this skill failed to complete it, in other words, it¡¯s an incomplete manual. Host prepare yourself for transmission, the two techniques will be directly transferred to your brain.]
A lot of information was poured into Quinn¡¯s mind; simultaneously, Elgar started panting heavily, and he was drenched in sweat.
[Host I have thoroughly exhausted my energy,in a few seconds I¡¯ll lose consciousness and go into a deep sleep just like Zenith box; to wake me you must find spirit stones to supply Zenith box with Qi. Host, the Stats feature, is unlocked; it will present data about you.]
Then Elgar slowly vanished. Only then Quinn realized that he forgot to ask if there was any demerit to his physique. He even considered calling Elgar again, but immediately dismissed that thought after Elgar¡¯s tired face popped up in his mind. This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
After that, he called for Stats, and a light sky blue screen appeared in the room. It was floating in the middle of the room.

Chaotic Divergent Synthesis manual -
It is a unique cultivation technique that allows a person with Primordial Chaotic physique to cultivate different types of cultivation techniques simultaneously. Status- sealed
Origin Soul manual -
It¡¯s the only technique in the host¡¯s inheritance which could be trained before cultivation. It helps in soul improvement of soul and developing divine sense before beginning cultivation.
After checking all the data, Quinn¡¯s attention diverted to Origin soul manual.
Origin soul manual was a soul cultivation technique with infinite potential. There are totally 3 stages in origin soul manual -
Stage 1: Soul Clone; dividing the soul spirit and creating soul clone.
Stage 2: Soul Coalesce; merging or fusing original soul and soul clone.
Stage 3: Divine sense; developing divine sense.
Completing the three stages one time is one cycle; once a cycle is completed, one can again practice Origin soul manual and endlessly strengthen the soul and divine sense.
He was only able to access Stage-1, after completing stage-1 he would get access to stage-2 and so on.
Only after entirely going through Origin Soul manual did he truly realise the potential this simple inheritance was holding.
¡®If the only part of the inheritance which could before cultivation is this strong how strong will the other¡.¡±
Quinn was over the moons, grinning like a mad man fantasising about his out of the world inheritance. Though he was eager to start, Quinn took a few minutes to recollect his composure before once again going through the manual.
The first Stage - Soul Clone is actually simple yet complex at the same time. To cultivate in this manual, you only need to sleep and visualise or form your soul body; the next step is to divide the soul body. The only thing that Quinn could do as a baby was falling asleep, so it was tailor-made for him.
Though it sounded effortless, finding your soul is itself a very challenging task as it required tremendous concentration and focus. It is impossible for a small kid; thus, this manual is practically unusable, well unless you¡¯re reborn like Quinn.
Quinn faced many problems; he did not know what exactly a soul is, much less visualising it.
First, he thought soul was his inner self or consciousness and searched for his soul through meditation, but all his efforts were wasted. Time was like an ever-flowing river, even after spending 6 months he was still stuck in the same place.
Then one day, when he watched a cartoon in which the many small bugs came from every single hole in the city. All the little bugs gathered together to form a giant insect.
This suddenly enlightened Quinn about soul formation; he immediately went to his bed and slept. He imagined his soul to be innumerable tiny particles residing in every single atom of the body.
It wasn¡¯t a baseless assumption, the cartoon revoked the painful fusion with Zenith box; Zenith box disintegrated into many tiny particles and came to him.
The reason he believed this theory was because he visualised many places in the body soul. Since the soul was not found anywhere, it meant it was everywhere.
So he presumed if Zenith box could disintegrate to fuse, then his soul could also do the same; thus, he tested this theory.
Then he ordered all the soul particles to gather in one place. Surprisingly they all obeyed his order and just like an army of ant they all marched to glabella and slowly a familiar white-yellowish ball formed.
Before Quinn could celebrate, it broke into pieces and returned. It only lasted for a few seconds. Quinn felt like crying, he wanted to trash the creator of Origin soul manual.
At the same moment, his Soul Body stats changed.
SOUL BODY: 16
Willpower: 9 => 19
Intellect: 9 => 19
Wisdom: 9 => 19
Soul defence: 1 => 12
Soul attack: 1 => 11
It took him more than 6 months to just know what a soul was and how to form it. He was very depressed for spending so much time just to figure out what a soul was; he was even more annoyed because he still has not visualised the soul body.
Quinn fell from seventh heaven straight to the seventh hell after thinking about his inheritance. If all the legacies were this difficult, he couldn¡¯t imagine how hard it will take him to cultivate them let alone fusing them.
If any cultivator were to know what a one-and-half-year-old kid has achieved, they would be rooted to the ground in shock. Even after decades of endless effort with guidance from their masters, only a handful of them could figure out what is a soul and how to gather it.
After figuring out how to gather the soul it was only a repetitive and monotonous job, all Quinn had to do was collect the soul and retain it for the maximum time possible. He had to repeat this process until he could form his soul and disperse it with one thought.
Though it seemed direct a lot of concentration and energy is expended in retaining the soul. Thus Quinn had to rest and recover before trying again so he could only gather the soul twice a day.
Along with a gradual increase in the time limit, the Soul body attributes also increased. Quinn was even more astonished to find that all his 5 senses were improving. The enhancement in his senses was like a bonus reward to him.
Though the enhancement wasn¡¯t drastic, it gave him numerous benefits. Quinn also knew being greedy would never lead to a happy end; so he was content with the heightened senses.
Ch 5 Soul Spirit
After two years of tireless practice, he could finally form the Soul Cluster and disperse them as per his will. Maintaining the Soul form was a very strenuous demanding job.
At best he could sustain the cluster of Soul Particles only for 300 seconds or 5 minutes; this exercise drains him completely, he''ll be out it at least for 12 hours straight.
The next step is the transformation of his Soul Cluster (the white ball) into a Soul-Spirit. Surprisingly, the transformation was a lot simpler than he imagined.
The Soul spirit was like a smaller version of him about 3 inches tall. It was completely naked and pure white in colour. The face of his Soul spirit was not clear; it was mostly hidden by a veil of golden light; thus, only some resemblance could be observed.
However, when he wilfully controls the Soul spirit, the veil of golden light slowly recedes, and the Soul-Spirit will be like a small imp filled with mischievous and perverted expression.
Soul-Spirit cannot move outside of his body, its limit is within the body. Whichever part the Soul spirit goes it will enhance that part''s performance temporarily.
The 3 Inch Soul spirit will transform into that particular part and merge with it. Suppose he moved his soul spirit to his eyes then the Soul spirit will turn into slightly larger transparent eyes and cover his eyes.
His vision will enhance like wearing a magnifying glass. This most significant advantage lies in the fact it''s totally hidden from the outside world; no one will know his powers had enhanced.
Solving Rubik''s cube was also a part of training his soul. Solving Rubik''s cube over and over again is like grinding his soul body. With the cube''s help, soul spirit became more stable and precise. Now he could sustain his Soul spirit about 10 minutes.
Only after forming the Soul spirit will Soul Clone stage actually start. All the processes till now were more like laying the foundation. Though he didn''t begin Origin Soul manual, he was satisfied with the rewards.
Soul Fission was an entirely new game about which he had no clue whatsoever.
Quinn did many experiments, the same results over the years were slowly driven to his limits. He tried everything he could think of, but he couldn''t even scratch the Soul spirit much less divide into two.
Then he went through the entire Stage 1 Soul Clone once again. But he was still clueless, the Origin Soul manual only stated to divide soul and form a soul clone.
It''s been 4 years since he got Origin Soul manual he still couldn''t start practising it. After hard scrutiny, Quinn found his problem, he lacked common knowledge and basics about cultivation.Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
Though he got some info from his parents and restaurant customers, all of them generally avoided any topic that involved cultivation. Since he didn''t want to blow his cover as a na?ve small kid, he decided to go with the flow.
He was sure that he will eventually learn about cultivation and other things.
Thus he started focusing on things which were in his control and found time to practice a few exercises. Quinn could be considered a super soldier in the earth; it''s only logical for him to have many training methods.
He picked those that put less strain on the body. While selecting the exercises, he made sure that they will not affect his growth. He regularly practised these exercises under the guise of playing in the woods.
*****
Even after running through all the events since his birth didn¡¯t help.
He knew very well that the only way to convince his parents is through revealing some of his ability and reassuring that he could lead a very successful life.
He started considering all his options;
Zenith Box and Elgar were ruled out without any consideration;
Origin Soul manual would need a backstory which will inevitably need a fake encounter with a Grandmaster, but it would be the least convincing story.
Thus he must either reveal that he has formed his Soul-Spirit or Soul Cluster (White ball). The problem was that he didn''t know which of the two is acceptable for 5 years old boy.
He decided to reveal the Soul Cluster and keep Soul-Spirit as a backup plan if the Soul Cluster fails to impress his parents. He believed that having a hidden card in hands was more meaningful than revealing everything.
Another reason he chose Soul Cluster Form was that it did not involve any cultivation technique. It was purely visualisation with some guidance from Origin Soul manual, which only set the direction of the sail.
He was also hoping his parents would consider letting him see the broader world. Now that he¡¯s come with a plan to convince his parents, Quinn started focusing on the new information he¡¯s received.
Quinn went to Zenith box and uttered

Then he recollected what his grandpa¡¯s words about his body constitution. Quinn had a Grade 10 Mortal Soul and Grade 2 Mortal Body. He compared and analysed the data with him to find the correlation between Grade and numbers.
He concluded that if all the attributes corresponding to the physical body or soul body were from with 0 to 10, then his is Grade 1; likewise, 11 to 20 is Grade 2 and so on.
Because all the Physical body attributes were between 11 and 20, his mortal body is Grade 2; since all his soul attributes were between 91 and 100, his mortal soul is Grade 10.
He had these data with him for more than 4 years, yet he did not have any other information for comparative analysis; thus it was like sending a person to an inhabited island with tons of money, which is obviously a waste.
Ch 6 - Qi transfusion
In the lawn, an old man was pleading before a young couple.
If any person saw this old man begging for forgiveness and being so submissive, they would definitely pass out from shock.
Blake was a legendary idol in the hearts of the people of Unigux. He''s the Dean of Natal Dawn School filled with mystery.
Helena forgave her father after he totally surrendered; she knew Blake would never harm Quinn, in fact, he loved him very much. The only reason he did not come to visit Quinn till now was that he was closing up unaware about the birth of his grandson.
The moment he received the news about Quinn''s birth, and he rushed over here even without stabilizing his cultivation. This displayed Blake''s unrestrained love for towards his only grandson.
After Helena accepted his apology, all their expression turned severe, and Blake took a long deep breath. Then he looked at the couple for a while, it was like the time itself stopped and only after some time Blake let out a long and heavy sigh.
Then he stood and walked a few heavy steps, with each step he took the aura around him became more and more desolate and lonely. After 10 walking steps or so he stopped. Blake stood a few meters from away with his back towards the couple.
When Andre and Helena saw the old man standing there facing the trees, they felt choked from the sadness he emitted. He was standing there like a lonely old tower on the verge of collapsing. Then Blake broke the silence.
"Helena, you are my daughter, and you always will be."
Blake spoke like he was stating a simple truth, and after a small pause, he continued.
"Andre you''re like my own son. Before Crewe died, he asked me to look after you two, it was his last wish. So let me share my deepest secret with you; initially, I wanted to take this secret with me to my grave."
Then he turned around and looked directly into Helena''s eyes.
Blake''s eyes were filled with pain, and he looked like recalling; he was some painful memories. The previous calmness or gentleness or the aggressive aura he released were all missing; instead, he was dejected and defeated.
"Helena everything what I told about Wade and Suzy was lies. Your brother Wade did not disappear in the Mystery Fog Island and Suzy didn''t get contracted with any devious poison."
"The truth is Wade was also in the same situation as Quinn. No, his situation even worse compared to Quinn, Wade had Grade 2 mortal body and Grade 5 mortal spirit."
The couple was stunned speechless, but Blake ignored them and continued.
"When we learned our son''s constitution; both of us were devastated, just like the two of you. After that, we searched for methods that could increase the mortal body or soul. But as expected, we were not able to find any viable method except Qi transfusion."If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it.
"Initially, I was in a dilemma about whether to perform Qi transfusion or not. But Suzy was adamant and somehow convinced me."
Blake stopped for a while, and neither Andre nor Helena broke the silence. They were waiting for him to continue patiently.
"We were both heavenly talents of Unigux and Suzy''s cultivation base was actually better than mine. So she wanted to transfer her Qi to Wade; thus, I searched for the Body Stabilizing treasure. After 5 months of life and death struggle, I found Nine-Petal Shell lotus. It is the best body Stabilizing treasure in Unigux."
When the couple heard Nine-Petal Shell lotus, they felt like their soul flew from their body. They knew very well that Nine-Petal Shell lotus was only found in the Ninth-layer of Demonic Infernal Volcano.
Demonic Infernal Volcano is the first death zone of Unigux, and the ninth layer is the most dangerous and core part of the volcano. The chance of survival after visiting ninth- layer is less than 0.00001%.
Ignoring their shock, Blake continued as if visiting ninth-layer of Demonic Infernal Volcano was just a walk in a park.
"After that, we did Qi transfusion for Wade. Suzy transferred her Qi to Wade, it was successful. Wade''s innate body increased to Grade 8, and his natal soul also increased to Grade 7, which is an outstanding body constitution."
"It was also the last time I saw Suzy''s smile. After seeing Wade''s body constitution, Suzy let a satisfied and serene smile. Then she fell unconscious and went into a deep coma. It''s been 1500 years she is yet to wake up."
After that, Blake''s hand started to shiver, and beads tears came down his eyes, he was truly miserable. But he did not stop instead continued.
"Though it was heart-breaking, I was prepared for the worst, so I somehow contained myself from being driven crazy. But what happened next really broke me. After Wade''s body constitution increased, I was sincerely believed that he will shine in his future and help me save his mother."
¡°I couldn''t bring myself to tell Wade that his mother was in a coma because of him; thus, I told him that his mother got a serious illness and went to coma."
"Heaven just played tricks with our life. Everything was smooth sailing till then, unexpectedly Wade''s cultivation pace slowed down, and after a point of time, it totally stopped.
Wade didn''t know what was going on with him and he came to me, he was 50 years old at that time."
When Wade informed me that his cultivation stopped improving no matter how hard he practised, I got a very awful premonition.
Though I couldn''t exactly find the problem, my intuition pointed at Qi transfusion, and that¡¯s the day I felt horrible for having an accurate intuition.
"I have been closely monitoring Wade all those years, so the only problem he could have was Qi transfusion. Thus I went through many ancient records and visited many cultivators'' who had got Qi transfusion and finally found a dark truth about Qi transfusion."
"Even if Qi Transfusion is successful, only 1 in 100 will not face any problem in cultivation. The rest 99 people''s cultivation will meet an Absolute bottleneck at one point or other.
The reason it was known publicly is that generally, the cultivation will reach this Absolute bottleneck only after 1000 years by then most people will subconsciously ignore Qi transfusion."
"After I found the problem; I was forced to reveal everything to Wade, including the truth about his mother¡¯s condition. He was devastated, and something intrinsic within him broke.¡±
Ch 7 Quinns going to School
"After I found the problem; I was forced to reveal everything to Wade, including the truth about his mother¡¯s condition. He was devastated, and something intrinsic within him broke.
Later, started cultivating like a lunatic, day in and day out he would close up in a small hill, but all his efforts were in vain."
"Wade grew old before my eyes and died in these same hands. His last words are still ringing in my ears'' Dad, I''m sorry, sorry for being so useless and a such a heavy burden'' after that he gave a miserable smile and died."
"Those two smiles have simply been etched into my heart; Suzy''s serene smile and Wade''s smile filled with melancholy. I failed Suzy, I lost my only son; my foolishness destroyed my only family."
When Helena came to comfort him, he stopped her and wiped the tears. A few seconds later continued in a neutral emotionless tone.
"After seeing my son die and my wife in a vegetable state, my fuse burst, and I went berserk. I went on a kill spree massacring innumerable scums and decades later, my inner scars started to heal.
Later, to prevent other families from falling apart, I spent enormous wealth and publicized the truth about Qi transfusion. Even then, I couldn''t make any substantial impact on the number of wild parents performing Qi transfusion for this meagre possibility.
All I achieved was emptying my pockets and reopening my scars again and again and again.
Thus I ceased all these awareness activities about Qi transfusion and took over Natal Dawn School."
When Blake mentioned these, his anger flared up, and an overbearing, tyrannical aura busted from him. After finishing, Blake felt the exhaustion of recalling all these painful memories.
He walked to the chair and sat down and then poured a cup of tea to cool his temper and overcome the exhaustion.
A few minutes later, he recovered his calm and tranquil aura. While Blake was drinking tea, both Andre and Helena were pacing through the lawn in deep thought while debating via mind-transmissions.
They looked perplexed, they had to choose whether they should do Qi transfusion or not. Regardless of what they choose, this decision is bound to have a profound impact on their child¡¯s life.
Blake looked at them and then spoke in a soft and gentle tone while placing the empty teacup on the table.
"Helena, you¡¯re the only family left, and Quinn is my grandson."
"Before both of carefully listen to me, and then decide. Though Qi transfusion improves the body constitution, you should realize that it goes against the natural order; thus, it will always lead to complication one way or the other."
"Moreover, due to my bitter experience, I studied body constitution extensively and understood certain things. Through the old records, it is evident that those who break through this confinement will reach greater heights.Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on the original website.
The possibility of this happening is indeed far lesser compared to Qi transfusion because though it is not against the natural order, it is about breaking the limit through extraordinary willpower which is equally heaven-defying." B
lake was calm and collected as he talked about Qi transfusion. Then his tone changed cold and harsh.
"Andre before you decide; think of your son carefree face do you really want him to suffer such a burden, you can never run away from the truth so must tell him the truth one day or other.
Or do you have the strength to see Helena in a coma-like a cold corpse or can you bearing seeing your son growing old before you and dying in your own arm."
Blake''s words were like sword puncturing into Andre''s weakest point. Then Blake stared straight into Andre''s eyes and then looked towards Helena.
"Helena. Are you really going to punish your son and husband in such a cruel manner? Moreover, killing everyone in the process. Though mother''s love is vaster than the ocean; think about the consequences of your action."
Blake then questioned Helena in the same cold tone. He¡¯s strict with them to prevent them from committing the same mistake and life a miserable life.
After hearing Blake''s questions, both Andre and Helena stood quietly with their heads down.
"Moreover, the chance of Quinn creating a miracle is quite high as he has Grade 10 natal soul. Do you really plan on destroying such a talent? It true that he would suffer great hardships; but how could one become strong without going through storms?"
"A greenhouse pet tiger can never win a wild dog. So let Quinn join Natal Dawn School and give him a chance to forge his own path. I will take as my official discipline if needed and make a legend of my grandchild. This is all I could say the final decision is yours to make." After which turned and went into the house.
The couple stood there speechlessly they were both thinking the same thing ''After such a scolding you''re still telling us that we still have a choice'' Only now did these two people realize why everyone called this old man shameless and notorious.
He could have just told his story and told that with Quinn natal soul, he could become strong more easily, why must he give them such a harsh scolding. Andre and Helen look at each other and then sent a helpless smile
******
At 9 pm the sky was dark, and it was very calm.
Andre, Quinn and Blake were sitting in the dining table waiting for the dinner. Quinn and Blake were seated in one sit while Andre was opposite to Quinn. Till now Andre and Helena have not given Blake an answer which made the atmosphere a bit strange.
Then Helena came from the kitchen in the apron with a ponytail hair. She smiled at Quinn and asked him
"Quinn, are you okay with going to a boarding school?"
Helena asked Quinn.
Quinn was caught off guard, and his eyes bulged with his mouth gaping in shock; everyone around him couldn''t control their laughter looking at his comical expression.
After Quinn recovered, he quickly nodded many times as if he was afraid of losing the chance to answer. He was well aware that he would miss Helena and Andre; still had to grasp this chance to venture into cultivation world.
Moreover, only with freedom, can he spread his wings and soar. He had secrets that couldn''t share even with his parents.
"Mom, will I get many friends to play with if I went to school."
Quinn asked this is very na?ve and innocent tone which could clear any doubts that could have arisen from his earlier slip-up. It was neatly executed stunt.
"You will surely make many friends at school and have lots of fun there. Grandpa Blake will be there for you."
Helena mother assured her kid. Everyone laughed happily after Quinn accepted to go to school.
Helena and Andre were at a loss; both of didn''t want their child to suffer in the harsh world. Deep down, they knew it was but a pipe dream, and without the facing these challenges, he could never man up.
''Legends forge their own destiny'', and Quinn was bound to be a legend.
Helena and Andre could only helplessly sigh in resignation.
Ch 8 Longevity Soup
Blake was pleased with their decision; though he was a bit harsh, it was a much needed wakeup call to rouse them.
¡°Hey, the big guy will you not miss us, if you don¡¯t see us throughout the year?¡±
Andre casually asked, normally kids hate schooling but his son was over enthusiastic much contrary to the popular belief.
¡°What?! I can¡¯t be with mama and papa. But why, mama you come with me¡. I want home school¡¡ mama.. um...um¡wwahh.¡±
After that, Quinn started to cry. He didn¡¯t want loop-holes arousing his parent¡¯s suspicions.
All the three of them were dumbfounded at Quinn crying. Since their kid always acted a bit mature, they never believed he would be ignorant with simple terminologies.
Blake and Helena slowly turned their head and glared at Andre.
Their eyes went ¡®It¡¯s you who started so go clean up your mess.¡¯
Andre hung his head, cursing under his breath. Then he took a deep breath.
¡°Quinn, look here. See dad¡¯s face. hehehe¡±
Andre tried to make funny faces by stretching his mouth but inadvertently his eyes elongated and became wavy; to make it worse he made poor imitation of cartoon hero.
¡°I¡¯m Tyrom Man hahaha¡¡±
Quinn stopped crying for a second and then he wept harder. Now Quinn really felt like crying ¡¯Is this how you console a child prodigy.¡¯ Had Andre not been his father Quinn would have given him a straight punch.
Helena and Blake showed white eyes at Andre. Then Helena gave Andre a slap on his shoulder and scolded.
¡°Idiot, don¡¯t scare the kid.¡±
And she went past Andre and picked up Quinn.
¡°Quinn if you go to Natal Dawn School you can get many friends. Don¡¯t worry about missing us, we will visit you once in a while. Okay.¡±
Helena tried to console him by patting his head. Immediately Quinn stopped crying and slowly nodded with a bit of hesitation.
Quinn stopped the moment his mother stepped in; if he dragged it any longer, then his plan might back-fire. His parents might really reconsider; then he can only cry. Moreover, he really didn¡¯t want another course of terrible imitation from his father.
Later all of them sat around the dining table, and Helena ordered Emma.
¡°Okay, guys let¡¯s celebrate this happy occasion with a grand dinner. Emma, please serve the dinner.¡±
She removed her apron while ordering; Emma¡¯s their housekeeper android.
After receiving the order, Emma swiftly served the food. Andre, Helena and Quinn were given a plate full of nicely cooked delicious meat and many other dishes; everything was prepared too beautifully that even Quinn drooled over it.
But Blake was only given an empty bowl. Before Blake could ask for in portion, Emma came with a vessel filled with black and violet liquid mixture. It looked so hideous that even a starved beggar would run away.
Then Emma poured that liquid into Blake¡¯s bowl and took large pieces of raw meat and put them into the bowl. The meat looked very ordinary, but the moment it touched the soup, a violent reaction happened.
Yellowish bubbles came from the meat, and then the meat disintegrated into small pieces and finally disappeared. After the steak vanished a very disgusting odour filled the room.If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it.
It was so bad that even with Quinn¡¯s willpower couldn¡¯t withstand the vomiting sensation. Quinn was just about to cover his nose.
His father magically sent out green light from his hand which covered Quinn, Andre and Helena. After the green light was like a holy light vanquishing the evil spirit. The terrible smell immediately vanished at the sight of the green light.
Blake was about to snap his finger only to stop at Helena¡¯s dagger stare.
¡°Papa, you¡¯re getting old, this is called Longevity soup it boosts the vitality so must have it.¡±
Helena¡¯s voice was lovely and cute like an adorable daughter. But her chilly smile sent shiver down one¡¯s spine and Quinn mentally swore he to never offend his mother.
Blake pleaded many times to everyone before giving up his meaningless struggle.
He pinched his nose with one hand, and picked the bowl with other. With deep breath he downed the whole bowl in one go.
Then stood up with great difficulty and walked to the guest room, only to trip over fall first. He was like a miserable old drunkard poisoned by the very same liquor.
He kept mumbling ¡°please save me from soup monster, please help. HELP¡¡I will give you anything ples.. he..¡± then he passed out on the corridor.
The old man¡¯s condition earned everyone¡¯s pity. Quinn didn¡¯t know what happened in the lawn, but Blake had certainly done something stupid. At the same time Quinn admired Blake¡¯s courage and willpower.
It was a herculean task just withstanding that soup¡¯s no the terrible fluid¡¯s odour and appearance. But this old man somehow drank a whole bowl.
After the old man was cleared by Emma; they all ate a stupendous dinner forgetting the poor old man and his soup.
Then his mother reconfirmed if he was really acceptable with the arrangement of going to a boarding school. With Quinn¡¯s consent, she started her bout of advice from the routine set of boring advises, like he should eat well, sleep well regularly chat with them etcetera.
After a lengthy advice session, Quinn finally escaped from them and returned to his room. Inside, he was literally jumping up and down in the joy.
Next day morning, the parents were packing many things he may need. Blake was in a very sorry state; his eyes were sunken as if he didn''t have a wink of sleep for years; he walked soullessly like a zombie.
It was 10 am, time for breakfast. Since packing was over, Helena called everyone for breakfast. When the old man heard the word breakfast, he shivered all over.
Fortunately for Blake it was just a normal yet appetizing breakfast.
Just after the finishing breakfast; Andre pulled out a small white gun from his pocket.
Before Quinn could reacted the gun''s nozzle was pressed onto his wrist, and a grey light shot from the gun. In a few seconds Quinn collapsed into Andre hand and later taken to his room.
*****
Few hours later, Quinn woke up and found a blackish-red mark on his left hand. There were no words or letters in it only the simple red pattern. When he was trying to figure out what it was, a sudden voice was heard in his brain. It was as though it originated from his brain.
[Host, it''s been a while how were you faring.]
It was a very familiar voice.
[Host, it''s me Elgar- the Zenith box''s soul I''m now in your brain.]
Quinn¡¯s reaction was similar any ordinary man¡¯s panic.
"Elgar how in the hell did you enter my brain."
[Host actually I''m not inside your head instead a chip is inside your head. It''s just that your dad injected a personal implant with an advanced A.I. taking this opportunity I erased the pre-programmed A.I and replaced it.]
[Host Zenith box is still in shut-down. Initially, I thought I have to wait till you start the Zenith box, but it seems like there are many new inventions after the accident.]
[Through the personal implant, I could communicate without even coming to Zenith box.]
It took a while for Quinn digest all these shocks. Quinn was pleasantly surprised to find that Elgar will accompany him from now on. He was even more surprised to discover that he got himself a Personal Implant.
"Elgar first stop calling Host this and Host that, just call me Bro or Quinn or whatever you are comfortable with."
Quinn had always wanted to change the way Elgar addressed him as he felt Elgar was similar to his subordinates in his past life. Quinn really yearns friends and brothers.
Elgar felt touched hearing what Quinn said, and then he decided to take Quinn as his boss. Though Elgar has a soul and is different from tool spirit or an A.I. he¡¯s still essentially within their category.
[Host this will be the last time call you this. From here onwards I will only refer to you as boss are you Okay with Host.]
So long as Elgar accepted him as his friend, Quinn was fine with whatever way Elgar addressed him.
[Boss because I destroyed the pre-programmed A.I. and replaced it; so I must do all its work. The first duty of A.I. of a Personal Implant is to update. It is even more so, in my case as I was sent to void current after my birth.]
[I¡¯ve heaps of paper work. I¡¯ll return once the job is done; see you later boss.]
Quinn felt dumbfounded realizing that Elgar vanished again without asking his permission or discussing with him. After long consideration decided to let him do what he wanted as he didn''t want to lose his first friend.
Ch 9 Quinns a Monster
Then a Blackish Red marking attracted his attention, he knew it was the Personal Implant(P.I.).
Quinn was very excited when Elgar informed him that his father has given him a P.I. after all he was still ignorant about this world''s happenings and other info.
Though Andre did not give him any manual or user''s guide for PI Quinn has seen many customers operate their PI. He knew one can mentally command their Personal Implant; so he just focused on the wrist and told ''OPEN'' in his mind.
Immediately the Blackish red mark projected a holographic screen. Quinn was excited, this screen meant he could browse all the information he craved to obtain.
Before Quinn could dabble with PI, his parents rushed into his room, and Andre examined his vitals.
¡°The body has perfectly adapted to the Chip. There are no signs of rejection from his body.¡±
Helena gave a relieved sigh at Andre¡¯s reassuring comment.
¡®If it can have detrimental side-effects Shouldn¡¯t it handled by professionals, like doctors?¡¯
Quinn was confused, but he kept his mouth sealed. He never took his parents for those reckless individuals moreover he didn¡¯t know common practices prevalent here.
Then his father informed him that if he were conscious about PI, the chances of failure would increase thus to for safety reason Andre was forced to take him out by surprise.
Afterwards, Andre passed a dull black metal ring to Quinn. Once he wore it ring glowed with blue patterns for a few seconds before restoring to its original dull form.
When it glowed the ring made a connection with his Soul-Spirit and thus Quinn got to know its real function; a storage device.
A storage device has an in-build space or dimension within it, in which you could keep any inanimate things. The things kept in the space rings will remain in the same condition till you take them out because the time and space in the ring are frozen.
This black ring''s is 100x100x100.
Quinn sucked in a deep breath when he learnt the dimensions. Though he had seen many weird things and was numb to surprises, it still caught him off guard.
Quinn was aware of storage devices, in fact, he has seen a few of them in the restaurant with every imaginable shapes and forms ranging from ring, bracelets, to pouches and bags.
Only a few wealthy customers would use them. What really puzzled him is the fact that his family could afford a storage ring. Although Quinn didn''t know the price of a storage ring, he was sure that it was certainly out of their reach.

When he looked inside the ring, he saw all his things neatly packed and arranged carefully. While Quinn was exploring the storage ring, Blake, Andre and Helena were looking at him like an alien.
The blue glow from the ring was like a bolt from the blue. Everyone was rooted to the ground in shock.
Quinn cocked his head up to his parents while Blake was the first one to recover.
He snapped out and instantly grabbed Quinn, inspected the ring a few seconds before giving his grandson a merry-go-round with a burst of hearty laughter.
Quinn was confused seeing his Grandpa''s crazy actions.
Soon Helena and Andre also woke from the shock. Before they could ask Quinn any question.
"Quinn, have you ever felt anything over here?"
Then Blake pointed at Quinn''s Glabella. When Blake asked this question, everyone in the room look looked at Quinn, all their faces were filled with expectations.
Unwilling to disappoint them, he gave rapid nods. After all, he was planning on revealing his Basic soul to reassure his parents. Quinn''s affirmation sent his parents to a trance.
All three adults had very different faces. Blake''s was like a commander who has won a challenging war with just his wits. While Helena and Andre were like lucky survivors of a great disaster.
Blake felt that he was too smart for convincing the couple not to do Qi transfusion. Andre and Helena felt lucky because they nearly destroyed their child''s future.
Blake looked at the couple in triumph, and then he turned to Quinn.
"Quinn, explain what or how you felt about the soul?"
Blake asked with anticipation. Quinn thought a while before answering, no one in the room forced him all of them were patiently waiting.
"Grandpa, What is a soul? I think you¡¯re talking about fluffy.¡±
Quinn was too clever for giving any slip-ups, he gave cute confused look and continued after a small pause.
¡°At times I will feel innumerable tiny particles moving within my body, they wouldn''t have real form. It was more intangible or illusory, but I felt a strange connection with it."
"One day when I was watching "Squash the Bug" where many small bugs come together and forming a giant bug monster. I also wanted to make a big bug monster.
So I asked mom to buy me many small bugs, but she refused and even scolded me. At night I got the same feeling again because I couldn''t get many little bugs I tried to use the tiny particles to form a bug monster.
After many tries, I still failed to form a bug monster all I could create was a cluster of a yellowish-white ball inside my head over here."
Quinn spoke as he adorably pointed at his Glabella.
"Though the bug monster wasn''t formed, I formed fluffy snow monster. I tried to play with it many times, but strangely it will vanish after 1 minute, and I will feel very sleepy afterwards.
Grandpa, actually Fluffy''s very shy. No matter how many times I called it outside, it will never come out. Grandpa, are you asking snow monster for playing with it?"
Quinn asked Blake.
When Blake heard Quinn''s question, he felt like shouting "Who would want a f**king snow monster or a shitty bug monster. You are the f**king monster here."
Helena and Andre looked at their son as though they saw a terrifying monster. They have never heard of someone forming their Basic Soul inspired from a cartoon.
Blake didn''t know what to say. He was very experienced and has heard many weird things, but this is the most bizarre encounter he''s ever had. Had Quinn not been his grandson he would have smacked his ass for lying to him.
''If those old frats ever get to know that my grandson formed his Basic Soul from a cartoon, they would be surely cough litres of blood, and some might even die of jealousy. Heheheeee''
Even though he was proud for having such a prodigious grandson; Blake still refused to believe the ridiculous story, he really conflicted. After deep contemplation, he thought the cartoon might have some issues as it was supposed to be the root cause.
"Quinn can you play that cartoon."
Blake was a man of action, so he immediately asked Quinn to play that cartoon. Even Andre and Helena were looking forward to seeing if there was anything special about that cartoon.
Everyone went to the television. Actually, it wasn''t television; it was just a small white pod affixed to the ground.
"Play ''Squash the Bug- Episode 30''" Quinn ordered to the pod. After that, a light shot from the pod towards Quinn. The moment Quinn gave the order, everyone was looking at the pod eagerly.
Especially Helena was the one in need for inspiration in soul cultivation to further breakthrough. She even muttered ''Dumb TV quickly turn on.''
Ch 10 His Parents arent simple
"User scanned - Quinn Moore. Access denied. Access has been restricted by Helena Moore. Quinn Moore can only use from 7pm to 9 pm."
After that, the light vanished, and an awkward silence prevailed.
Everyone was dumbfounded as they were eagerly waiting, and their access was brutally denied by a stupid Television.
But no one dared to mock Helena, not after her longevity soup.
Then suddenly, loud laughter echoed through the room, the laughter became louder with every passing second. Helena felt like digging hole to bury her head in embarrassment.
After seeing the person who was laughing, Quinn was stunned silly.
Emma was the one laughing, strangely this time she was not indifferent and cold like usual she was laughing like a real human. Emma was always with them; it''s just that she will always keep quiet that one would subconsciously ignore her.
Quinn always assumed Emma to be an android with the lowest- level A.I. But the moment she started to laugh; she looked more humane than any human around.
He was aware that an android with in-built A.I. was very costly. So he believed that his parents spent a fortune to get an android with the most basic A.I.
Quinn learned a thing or 2 about androids from a regular customer of their restaurant. Androids are of two types with A.I., and without A.I. the latter is obviously more expensive.
In fact, an android with the most basic A.I. is costlier than their restaurant; the latest version of A.I. available in the market is A.I. v2.0. Even if the whole Peace River city is sold, a single A.I. v2.0 can''t be bought.
He has seen an android A.I. v2.0 in the video shown by the customer once. Emma seemed to be more advanced than A.I. v2.0, Quinn had a headache thinking about Emma''s worth.
The only thing that stopped Quinn from asking about Emma was his faith in his parents and his current identity.
The reaction from the Storage Ring served as a right trigger to disclose about his Basic soul. So he used this opportunity to inform his parents, mixed truth and lies to make an appropriate elucidation of how he formed his Basic Soul.
With everything in the track, he didn''t want his curiosity to spoil all his hard work.
His suspicion about their real identity grew was gradually strengthening. Recently there are a couple of mysterious things going on - First the black storage ring, then his mystical Grandpa and now Emma a high tech android.
He even felt that his entire new life was a fake one or there are many things his parents were hiding from him. But he did not ask them as he believed that they will inform him when at the right time.
While Quinn pondering about Emma; his mom''s face turned red in embarrassment, and she stared daggers at Andre as if blaming him for Emma''s laughter. Blake sympathized with Andre, but he could only helpless shrug his shoulders. If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.
"Emma shut up and get out of my sight." Andre ordered angrily.
"Sorry master it was too funny that I couldn''t control myself. Sorry Mistress.hehehe¡"
Then she went outside holding, covering her mouth and giggling. Seeing all this, Quinn thought ''This wasn''t really that funny, and Grandpa''s situation was even more hilarious.''
What Quinn didn''t know was that Emma anticipated Blake''s situation and turned off her face reaction sensors to prevent herself from laughing out aloud. After Emma went out, Helena overwrote restriction and played the requested recording.
The next hour, an old man and young couple earnestly watched the animation without taking their off the screen. The little kid was rolling his eyes at their stupidity, he never expected they would watch the show for 2 hours straight.
Obviously, no could find anything special about the cartoon, and thus they were convinced that they had a monster for a son or grandson.
''I''m really getting old.'' Blake thought while silently observing the little monster next to him.
After finishing a grant lunch, all of them got into a hovercar. After 10 minutes of travel, they reached a crowded place.
It was a Gigantic tube-shaped building made of Pale Azure stone. The surface of the wall was crude and porous; the walls were radiating blue florescent light.
The stone building was like a mirage flickering from time to time. Before entering the building, Andre warned his son not to talk inside the building and then advised him to follow whatever Blake said. Helena had an affectionate smile and urged him to take care of himself.
When they entered the building, Quinn noticed a peculiar thing, the whole building was too silent. When Quinn tried to enquire what was going to his mother, she told him to keep quiet with signs.
Inside the azure building, another black cylindrical structure caught his attention.
Unlike the azure building, the walls of the black cylinder were smooth. Rather being shiny, the walls were just deep black, absorbing all light.
One could feel that all the blue fluorescent light being absorbed by the wall making the whole place slightly dim.
The Black structure was their destination, and the azure building was just an outer shell.
Then they made their way through the crowd to the stone building and stood in a queue. The queue was from the outer azure wall till the white door in the Black wall.
They had to wait another hour before their turn; an old lady was sitting on a chair giving out badges. The badges were made out of a strange jelly-like substance. Even collecting badges were only done by sign language.
Blake made a set of complicated symbols for getting the badges before showing a golden card.
After collecting the badges, we made our way to the door that few meters away. The door let them to the large circular hall where all the people were gathered.
Inside the black cylindrical structure, the top was open, and he was able to see the azure dome. It was the dome of the outer building; the inner building''s top was open. Once they reached the hall, Andre broke the silence.
"It''s been so many years since we came here."
*sigh* Andre was reminiscing about his past, but Quinn totally misunderstood it.
''If they were rarely visiting such places, it means my parents are really poor or normal but then what about Emma and the storage ring. Ahhhh... It''s driving me crazy.'' Quinn could figure the truth about his parents.
Actually once a person reaches Deity realms in cultivation they could teleport on their own powers; Helena, Andre and Blake were all beyond the realms of Deity so it none of took teleportation station for travelling.
The only reason they were here is due to Quinn. As Quinn was too small to bear the pressure of teleportation. Or else Blake would have directly taken Quinn to his home.
"Who came with this idiotic rule, it¡¯s to stay silent in that Azure Zone. Quinn, you must remember careful whenever you enter Teleport Station stay silent in the Azure Zone."
''How could possibly complain about a rule and advise to follow the same in the same sentence.''
Quinn mentally complained about his mom for being inconsistent.
¡®Wait.. did she just tell teleportation station¡ So we can even teleport.''
He was even dumbfounded and silently nodded; Quinn was just too stunned to barrage his parents with questions.
Blake found seats for them, and they waited there till their azure badges glowed.
Ch 11 Teleport Station
While waiting Helena gave him another session of advice, Quinn felt touched and annoyed at the same time. After the badge glowed, everyone went to the platform, and then the platform floated and flew upwards.
Quinn saw it many times while waiting, so he was mentally prepared. The platform flew for a few minutes and stopped near the wall it was nearly 30 meters high. Then on the smooth wall, a door appeared, suddenly open. The platform connected to the doorway.
After that, Blake took their azure badge and placed it on the table, it was for verification. The doorway let them to a small room where few people were sitting. The chair looked a bit strange, it made of very soft cushion, and even a seat belt was there.
Quinn has never seen a seat belt since his rebirth. This is the first time he saw one, which piqued his curiosity. Everyone sat in the seat and wore the seat belt. Three minutes later, a beautiful woman appeared out of nowhere.
"Passengers, please wear your seat belt you will reach teleport formation in 6 minutes."
Then vanished the same way she came in. After that, every minute Quinn felt an intense shake like a mini-earth quake.
Then the whole room moved to upwards, and the door opened. Quinn was on top of the black cylinder, and then the seat belt automatically disappeared. Everyone got down and came outside.
What greeted them was a set of complex formations. The Whole top layer of the black cylinder was covered with weird and mysterious symbols in some sort of pattern. The whole runes were yellow in colour. The formation''s yellow colour and inner cylinder''s black colour were contrasting, and it was very magical.
Quinn was the only person stunned, everyone else was seeing it like ordinary beach scenery. Quinn was like a country bumpkin.
Before leaving, Helena gave Quinn a hug and even cried while Andre stood beside with solemn face.
"Take care, Quinn."
Helena said at last and released him.
"Take care." Andre rubbed Quinn''s head.
Everyone looked at them with a strange expression. Only then did Quinn realize he was the only kid in the entire room. Then Blake ignoring others stare; held Quinn''s hand and made their way to the centre of the formation.
Once they reached the core, his parents waved their hands towards them, and Quinn smiled and waved back. Then a yellow screen of light appeared around the core, and his parents were nowhere to be seen.
"Everyone please wear their teleportation badges. Repeating everyone please wear their teleportation badges." A stern voice suddenly ordered everyone.Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site.
Then Blake took one azure badge and passed it to Quinn. Then he instructed him to hold the badge in front of his face and squash it. Quinn did as Blake said and then the badge broke and transformed into an azure suit and covered him.
He felt like he fell into a bathtub filled with paint. Then he looked around and found only he and Blake were wearing an azure suit while others only had a transparent suit.
And that was the last thing he remembered before losing his conscious.
When Quinn awoke he was lying on a bed, then he searched for Blake. Blake was sitting in a chair reading some book. It was a digital book, projected from his PI.
"Good morning, Brat you finally decided to wake up. I was tempted to pour cold water to wake up." Blake teased Quinn.
Quinn thought ''what a way to greet. Wait¡wait¡. did he just tell said good morning, I was in the teleport station yesterday evening and Did I faint because of the intense light? Does that mean I was unconscious for more than 12 hours?''
Seeing the Quinn confusion, Blake knew what he was thinking, so he told. "Don''t panic, you were unconscious for 2 days, which far better than others."
Quinn was dumbfounded when he learned that he has slept for more than 2 days. "Grandpa where are we?"
"Quinn we are in Ronadak city. It is one of the largest cities in Unigux and 100 times larger than Peace River city. This house is in Eastern Ronadak, you are here to join Natal Dawn School. Tomorrow the school will start, and so you will have to move to the school dormitory today."
Blake paused a moment before continuing.
"Quinn, you are a bright kid and could be considered as an unparalleled genius in your own right. But when you go to school you will learn that you have a major flaw. So you will have to toil hard and work like a donkey to break your cocoon and become a beautiful butterfly."
When Quinn heard that he had major flaws, he was not worried he had Zenith box and inheritance of the guardian. The only thing that bothered him was the way Blake put it.
''Why can''t this old man come up with better examples, should he really compare me with butterflies and donkeys? Aren''t there saying like ''a crap leaping through dragon gate'' or something''?''
Blake just continued to talk completely disregarding Quinn grudging stare.
"Natal Dawn School will give you a platform for creating this miracle. Only by relying on oneself can a person achieve such a feat. So don''t expect me to help you or guide you. Even the school can only provide you with some resources."
"In fact, neither I nor the school can guide you, because your body constitution is too peculiar and unique. Only by forging your own path can you succeed. You can contact me through PI if necessary. And every weekend I will also come to visit you."
While Blake was talking a white stone suddenly appeared in his hand, it was probably taken from his storage device. Then he placed a stone on Quinn¡¯s forehead and told.
¡°Quinn this is ¡®Soul Sealing Gem¡¯ it helps in concealing your real natal soul. If the news about your Grade 10 natal soul is known to the world, you will get unnecessary attention which is detrimental for your growth, so we are better to hide it. This process will be a bit painful, so bear with it.¡±
Then Blake crushed the gem with his hands, and a white radiance shot from the crushed stone and entered Quinn Glabella. The process was painful but not unbearable, so he easily bore it.
But still, he decided to put an act and pressed his forehead with both his hands and shouted like he was suffering from hellish pain.
¡°Moreover, never ever utter a word about your Basic Soul to anyone, not even to your closest friend. At least wait till you graduate from the school and safeguard this secret like your life depends on it.¡±
CH 12 Dormitory
After fixing a breakfast for both of them Blake took his grandson to garage; where a very old and dirty hovercar was housed. Quinn was astonished to see such a car is such poor condition; everyone in this world will have at least one android for the manual works.
Quinn didn''t find any android in Blake''s house, so he assumed that Blake was a bit old-fashioned and did all his work by himself. Generally, old people are active, and Quinn expected Blake to be this type of person.
But after seeing the car''s miserable condition Quinn knew that he was mistaken. Blake got in the car without even bothering to give a rough cleanup.
After half-an-hour bumpy ride and a few near death experiences, all thanks to the malfunctioning boosters.
When Quinn got down, and a huge steel gate greeted him. Once they neared the entrance, the gates automatically opened and the pair made their way to the office building adjacent to the gate.
Inside the office, an old lady who was sleeping on a couch. The moment they stepped into the hall she woke. After seeing Blake, the old lady immediately jumped up and apologized.
She was fiddling like fanatic before her idol; her wizened were glittering like stars. All of a sudden Blake wore scholarly bearing with a dignified aura swirling around him.
''This old man is really shameless and why the hell is he acting like the Dean of the school.''
In took an entire minute for old lady realize the presence of another person. Still she ignored him and continued to flirt with Blake. Fortunately, Blake was a slippery eel and insisted on finishing the job in hand.
Finally, she passed a black card reluctantly to Quinn. It was a hard yet flexible Black card with ''A - 9'' written on either side of the card. There was no symbol or indication on the card just the number.
Quinn and Blake walked down the lane a few minutes which led them a larger road.
¡°Brat, work hard and make us proud. Also enjoy your school days in a man¡¯s life this place is the only real heaven. Remember your future is in your hands and you¡¯ll have to find the room, keep this card safe. Bye, Quinn, take care."
Then Blake gave the card to Quinn and ran back to the office.
Quinn was dumbfounded seeing this old man running after giving a severe lecture. When he saw him entering the office, Quinn''s opinion about Blake slightly changed. ''He''s a perverted lazy old coot.''
Then he looked around before him 10 columns of buildings were extending till the horizon. All the buildings were identical, and in the same colour, it looked so similar that if one removed the numbers, no one could differentiate one from others.
Luckily, all the columns had a huge billboard indicating their name like A ¨C Column, further each building was numbered A-9, H-80, and so on.
Quinn wasn¡¯t going to get lost with such clear signs in place. He reached the building in ten minutes, and the door automatically opened when he walked on the doorway. Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation.
Behind the door middle-aged was standing in butler attire and respectfully bowed to the kid standing before him.
[Greetings, Master Quinn; you are the first one to arrive at ''A-9''. Please come in.] And the butler led Quinn into building.
[Master Quinn those arrive first has the privilege to select their room; here are the visuals of the building. Please make your selection.]
Then a ray came from butler''s eyes, and a virtual structure was formed. It was a three-story building; the ground floor was the Main training hall. The main training hall was common for all of them.
The first and second floor was a private residence. The first floor was the living room while the second floor was their Cultivation Room. The first and second floor was divided into four equal parts; the Cultivation Room was accessible from the Living Room.
Quinn saw the layout and found that everything room was exactly the same except for views they got from the balcony, the two rooms in the back are facing the forest beyond the campus wall while the rooms in the front were facing the opposite building.
Without giving it much thought Quinn selected the room the facing forest to get pleasant natural scenery. He selected the room in the right corner; Quinn went to his room with the butler.
The room was spacious with just a bed and a large closet. Quinn was satisfied with the room and went to check out his Cultivation room. The staircase was in the left corner of the room.
Just when Quinn went to the stair, the butler stopped him.
[Master Quinn, the Cultivation room is locked; it will unlock after the classes begin.]
Quinn wasn''t really eager to learn about Cultivation room.
"Sir, what''s your name? Why is the dorm so empty?" Quinn just asked casually.
[Master Quinn people will address me as butler M9] Quinn just accepted it as he wasn''t very keen on the name as the butler was just an android.
[The dormitory is very empty because generally, the students will only come in the evening.] Quinn guessed that Blake would have bought him early to flirt with that old lady.
[Master the PI and other energy devices will not work inside the school campus. The only device that works in the campus is the School Ring. Once you enter the school, you will be disconnected from the outside world.
Master Quinn, please give your card. I will transform the card into your School Ring. In the dormitory, when you remove your School ring, the PI will re-activate.]
Quinn didn''t know if he should laugh or cry when he heard that his PI wouldn''t work. Quinn just got his PI did not have the opportunity to explore it, he was planning on exploring more about his PI when he was in the school.
Unwillingly Quinn gave his card then butler M9 took his left wright and placed the black card on. Then Quinn lost his connection with his PI and felt the same connection with the card.
Afterwards, the black card melted in butler M9''s hand and turned into a metallic liquid. Then it slowly formed into a ring. Butler M9 gave a ring to Quinn. Quinn had his storage ring on his right hand, so he wore this ring in his left-hand fingers.
[Master you can change the ring to any colour you wish, and if you want to use PI then remove your School Ring, it will automatically reconnect.]
After explaining about the School Ring, butler M9 went out. Quinn immediately removed the ring to re-activate his PI. When he was reconnected to his PI, he let out a sigh in relief.
But when he saw the PI screen, his intestines turned green as all the functions were down due to non-connectivity except video chatting. Quinn felt like he was holding a featured phone with video calling function.
He really felt helpless, and thus he wore his School Ring; it had some introductory information about the school. After reading it Quinn felt a frog in a well, it turned out that the school he has been enrolled into is called ¡®Natal Dawn School¡¯ which also happened to be best School in Unigux.
It had a very long history and enough strength to back its name. Even in the universe, it will be comfortably placed in top 10,000 schools. Don''t look down on 10,000 as there are a nearly infinite amount of schools in the universe and getting within 10,000 ranks is a great achievement.
Their school campus was located in the outskirts of Southern Ronadak. Actually, the whole school is inside Pregrandis Lake. The lake was filled with small islands to be more precise the school is in an archipelago.
It''s an enormous lake in a roughly circular shape the size of the lake is about 70,000 sq. Km. There are totally 10 dorms in the school each with a capacity of 16,000, and so the total number of students studying in the school is 160,000.
When Quinn saw the numbers he felt dizzy, he could still not fathom how large this school was. Then there was a bizarre rule of not allowing any devices on the campus.
The explanation for having this rule is that the children growth would be affected by the energy devices and may have severe effects on the future cultivation so till graduation from the school there all fancy magical devices are banned.
Ch 13 Roommates
Quinn had nothing to do after reading through all the data. Thus he slumped into sleep a couple of hours.
When Quinn got down, he says 3 kids were rowdily fighting. After enjoying the show for some time, Quinn shouted. They were getting a bit out of hand any moment one of them might manhandle the other kid.
"ALL OF YOU SHUT UP!!!"
Immediately they all stopped and moved a few steps back. Quinn was finally able to get a clear look at them.
One was a very lean kid with sickly pale skin, next was a shy cute fat bun with chubby cheeks, while the last kid was brown-skinned and buff muscles.
While Quinn was observing them, the kids were also scrutinising Quinn. They were admiring the guy with every potential to grow into a perfect lady-killer.
Then they had a quick introduction with Quinn.
The tall one was Kallis; the rice ball like fatty was Lardo; the short black fellow was Boris. After learning the reason for their fight, Quinn felt like crying.
They were actually fighting for the rooms. Quinn sighed and thought ''It''s very childish, whatever they are only small kids.''
"Hey, guys I will give you my room so don''t fight it''s just a room."
But Quinn got an unexpected reaction for his generosity, Kallis sneered while Boris giggled and strangely Lardo just made a poker face.
"Quinn, don''t you know that you can''t exchange your room once you selected it," Lardo asked him, Quinn really didn''t know that there were such rules.
"Quinn, sorry to say this man, even if the rooms could be exchanged no one would ever want your room." Boris acted like a wise scholar.
"Hey, we are fighting for the front rooms, not the ones on the back," Kallis added.
"Why would you want the front rooms over the room in the back, wouldn''t you get a better view from the back?"
Quinn thought these kids were really idiots and even considered changing his dorm. The three felt that Quinn was really a country bumpkin and showed a slight disdain unintentionally. Though Quinn didn''t bother himself with little kids.
"Quinn, do you really not know that we will stay in the same room for 15 whole years? Do you plan on becoming a monk or something?"If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Boris asked Quinn, Lardo and Kallis looked suspiciously at Quinn.
"What it takes 15 years to graduate, and we must live in the same room?" Quinn mumbled in surprise, but he still didn''t understand what was going on.
"How is staying for 15 years in the same room and becoming a monk connected in any way?" Now Quinn was even more confused. Others were dumbfounded, and Kallis was the first to recover.
"Quinn in the school dormitory alternative columns are allotted for boys and girls Column ''A'' is for boys and Column'' B'' is for girls and so on. We are the unluckiest to get stuck with the first row.
If it were any other row except the first one, we would be surrounded by girls on either side, and none of us needs to fight over these rooms. Do you understand now, man you really something to come to school even without doing this much basic research?" Kallis explained to him and grinned.
It was Quinn''s turn to be shocked at their stupidity, Quinn felt like punching the grin out of their face. He cursed their parents for teaching so much bullsh*t, ''Why are they telling such idiotic and crappy things their kids.''
Quinn might have had a lacklustre romantic life, but he wasn''t totally ignorant like these kids. After giving some thought, Quinn felt it was alright for them to be a bit stupid and came up with an idea to prevent them from fighting again.
He just thought them stone-paper-scissors; Boris was an unlucky guy who got the other back-room. He tried to get a rematch only to be ruthlessly rejected by the other three.
Quinn started to mingle with these kids and tried to behave like a small kid. Quinn decided to live like a little kid as he wanted to experience everything he missed in his previous life.
Before going to bed, Quinn had a short discussion with his new friends and got to know about each other.
Kallis was from Lotus Diving city of Ghist country; Kallis was born with a silver spoon; his family runs their country largest textile industry.
Lardo was from Hattrom city of Zeyat country; Lardo told that his family runs a large inn in Hattorm city.
Boris came from Illyas city in Yarland the country as Quinn. Boris was from an average family; his parents are just ordinary mercenaries.
From Boris Quinn found were Ronadak and Yarland were thousands of miles apart. Ronadak was in the centre of Unigux while Yarland was in the southern corner of the continent.
When he learned this, he was slightly disheartened as he felt very distant from his parents. Though he really wanted to move out from his house to explore more about cultivation, it didn''t mean his love for them had lessened.
Thus he had a very long chat with his mother and narrated everything that transpired so far, excluding his grandpa''s little adventure and his friends'' childish fight. His mother listened patiently, and she told him to enjoy his school days.
Next morning after a good bath and a decent breakfast made by the butler, they were all got ready to go to school. The school uniform set was a spirit dress; a product made by a cultivator.
Though this wasn''t Quinn''s first spirit dress, it''s the most comfortable one he has ever worn. Quinn was still not aware of the fees his parents paid to get him into the school. But he was sure that it would be exorbitantly high so he felt slightly pressured.
They were supposed to attend first assemble in the lakeshore at the end of the dormitory. Everyone was rushing to the shore; no one wants to be late for the very first session.
Every student in the dormitory was heading to the shore. Even though thousands of students were moving at the same time, everyone was travelling in an orderly fashion.
Thus their journey was pleasant and fun, instead of being chaotic like a market. Quinn¡¯s yet to figure out how they achieved such level discipline despite being little kids.
Then he observed the serious faces, and it was funny to see them moving silently and with a hint of anxiety. They were all looking like small genius scientists who were going to take some hard test.
Ch 14 Vice-Principal Albus
The path led them to a long lakeshore filled with fine sand almost like a beach. Both the sides were covered with thick forest after the sandy shore.
It was a classic view in front there was a sea-like lake either of the sides was filled towering trees. Though numerous students were gathered here, it was not crowded, and everyone was able to enjoy this gorgeous scenery.
After a few minutes, an old man in white robe suddenly appeared in the sky and attracted everyone¡¯s attention. He was very elegant and respectful, but he didn¡¯t look like a weak old man. Instead, a very thin stream of aura leaked from him filled with power and arrogance.
He was the stark contrast of double-faced Blake; a perverted lazy coot in the covers of monk for his family.
¡°Welcome to Natal Dawn School, it¡¯s a pleasure to have you here. I¡¯m Albus one of the Vice-principals of Natal Dawn School. The one in charge of your batch¡¯s opening ceremony.
You will spend your next 15 years in this school and learn about cultivation with a few other essential things. Most of you might not really know how blessed one has to be study under this prestigious institute, let me explain how good your luck really is?
All of you might be curious about the ban on the devices. Now let me tell the reason and conclude the introductory speech.
Millions of years ago it was Tech era, in short, anything and everything was technology. The people exploited the technology to the maximum extent, everyone was crazy about technology.
In that era, everyone ran behind technology and forgot their basis - the body, cultivation, and soul. As a result of neglecting their cultivation and the human body, the standard of cultivators fell, and the whole society became week and vulnerable.
After that, many efforts were taken, which failed to get the desired results. Technology had integrated into the society, it¡¯s like a bad habit that has seeped into the culture.
Other problem was that the deterioration was gradual and not an instant one, so it is impossible to suddenly recover it will take a long time to recover and flourish again. It was during this precarious era that a sudden discovery changed the entire trend of the universe.
It was found that a product made by a cultivator helps in cultivation, while the product made by machines didn¡¯t have much effect. This discovery is a piece of common knowledge now, back then it was an evolutionary finding and the very much needed breakthrough.
After this, the people who used spirit products got stronger when compared to others. Thus this also motivated others to give up on technology and correct their path. Through great efforts and struggles, the negative effect was nullified. This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there.
Even then technology was not completely banned as the reason for such a disaster is ignorance of the people and not the technology itself.
Then more researches were conducted by the Natal Dawn School in the past years and found that relying on technology or overusing technology before the age of 15 is detrimental to children¡¯s growth; thus all schools ban the use of devices.
You are going to study in the very same school whose discovery on the adverse effects of technology on the children became the very the reason for the Universal ban on Technology in Schools. So you should be proud to study in such a prestigious school.
Your school Ring is not a device that is made through technology; it is from the hands of cultivators or a spirit device. Understand that what the school is doing is for your own good and accept this arrangement wholeheartedly.
The rest of the things will be explained by your class teachers. Your School Ring will show the way, follow it and report to your respective teachers, they will lead you to your class and give further instructions.¡±
Albus slowly vanished, and then many people came. The teachers weren¡¯t flashy like the Vice-Principal, none of them suddenly appeared out of thin air and disappeared the same way.
All the teachers came on floating clouds and slowly landed; more than three-fourth the teachers were women, so it was more like many beautiful angels descending.
Teachers got down from their cloud and stood on the edge of the shore very close to the water. Each teacher was standing couple of meters apart so as to give space for the students to gather around them.
Quinn was savoring gorgeous young ladies and alluring aunts. His imagination went out of control and he let out a perverted grin.
He has pledged to lead a different life and one of the main objectives is to have plentiful romance. Obviously, his physical body hasn¡¯t grown; getting a beautiful teacher is just to satisfy his poor soul¡¯s cravings.
Quinn and his roommates went towards the right end of the shore, and it seems like all of them has the same teacher. It took them a while before seeing their teacher.
When they saw their teacher Quinn¡¯s beautiful school daydreams were shattered into pieces, while Quinn was disheartened his friends were shivering from head to toe as if they saw some terrifying monster.
Their teacher was like an incarnation of a demonic bear; about 7-foot-tall with long-pillar like arms. What is worse is that his upper body was somewhat bigger than his lower body and the tight black dress he was wearing exhibited his prominent muscles. He was like real bear from the wild.
He was surrounded by a few kids who were trembling, almost like a child kidnapper. Had this not been inside the school, students would have already started to run at his sight.
The bear teacher saw Quinn and his friends who were hesitantly proceeding towards him and shook his head.
¡°Kids nowadays are becoming more and more cowardly, what a pity?¡± and sighed.
The kids standing near him cursed in their minds ¡®Has this guy ever looked at a mirror? Doesn¡¯t he know how scary he is? Just what sin have we committed in our previous life to such a scary teacher?¡¯ the students were sobbing in their minds.
Quinn realized that they have been noticed by their teacher and thus he walked steadily towards the teacher, though he was felt unlucky for having a bear for a teacher he wasn¡¯t afraid of him.
In fact, in his previous life, he has killed one real bear with his bare hands during his training, so he wasn¡¯t afraid of real bears, let alone bear-like man.
Seeing Quinn marching toward the bear teacher, his roommates also straightened their spine and somehow gained the courage to go near their teacher with Quinn. Quinn¡¯s roommates slowly followed him, but still, they maintained a certain distance. It like they was preparing for an instant escape if anything were to go wrong.
Ch 15 Ben or Bear
In Natal Dawn School today¡¯s, the first day of this year and many students were gathered around their teachers and chatting happily while making new friends. Only one class stood in total silence.
All the teachers were either cracking jokes or giving serious instruction about something or introducing about them or discussing different topics to lighten the mood.
Well, not exactly all teacher, only one teacher just stood like a statue enjoying the pleasant scenery. The teacher was more like a demonic bear or a gorilla than a human. Students around him were either trembling in fear or frozen from the shock.
Among this group one student stood out he wasn¡¯t frozen or trembling in fear, there was no hint of fear in his eyes; he was just standing there calmly with slight discontent on his face. It¡¯s Quinn, who was waiting for his classmates.
After every student came, the gorilla teacher cleared his throat with a cough. Though it was just a cough, many of the little girls were on the verge of crying, and some even had light tears welling up in their eyes.
The teacher¡¯s voice was like a foghorn and a bit hoarse; it was purely a punishment for their poor ears.
¡°Everyone get on the cloud lets go to our class-island.¡± The teacher totally ignored the student¡¯s expressions and went to the cloud floating near him, once he came near the cloud, a small staircase appeared.
Following their teacher, the kids entered the clouds while enviously glancing at the group next to them, the teacher was a handsome gentleman, and the students were laughing at the jokes cracked by their teacher.
After everyone entered, the cloud slowly floated and flew towards the lake. Quinn looked around and found they were the first one to leave; other classes were discussing something with the students.
Though they were scared, the students were still looking forward to their class. The cloud slowly flew, they crossed many islands. The islands were all covered by thick white fog. Though the fog looked natural, Quinn had a feeling that it was man-made as the entire lake was clear.
The Pregrandis Lake was pure, and they were only able to see only water, it was like they were in the boundless ocean. Looking at the horizon, Quinn felt that it was wrongly named it should have been Pregrandis Ocean instead of Pregrandis Lake.
After a while, the Floating cloud slowly descended. Quinn and his classmates entered an island and went through the white fog, suddenly the fog thickened and even looking at the person before them was difficult.
It was like entering some haunted island and with such a scary teacher accompanying it was even creepier, and the kids who have calmed after viewing the beautiful lake also started to shiver, and some girls even cried.
Then the gorilla teacher sighed seeing scared children and took a token. After that, the fog receded and a virgin forest appeared before them, and the Flying cloud proceeded. If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement.
After that, a timeworn old building greeted them, and the floating cloud slowly descended in front of the building. There was no name written or indications on the building.
When Quinn went closer to the building, he felt that the building was a living being like an old sleeping tortoise. Though it had many cracks and fissures, it still managed to give a sense of comfort when they approached the building.
Then the bear teacher shouted, ¡°Fran, come and get the kids.¡± He was screaming like a furious wounded bear.
Soon a young man in his late-twenties came out of the old building, he had a scholarly outlook with an average yet pleasing face. His face was beaming with smile and excitement.
Fran was in cyan robe with thin white strips; along with long silvery-white hair, he was like the pure sun that was emitting holy light.
The good mood which was building up was immediately shattered by the gorilla teacher¡¯s annoying sound.
¡°Fran this will the last time I will be going to that troublesome place, its pain in the ass to look after these snotty kids and crybabies.¡±
The teacher turned around and went to the woods. It was like a caged-bear returning to its home after escaping from the prison. Fran shook his head, seeing the gorilla entering the forest and then saw the kids who were trembling and shiver seeing the other teacher.
¡°Hello, kids welcome to Natal Dawn School and Dusty Zephyr Island. You can call me Teacher Fran; now someone tell me what has teacher Ben explained so far I will continue from there on.¡±
After that, Fran waited for someone to answer. But the children are yet to recover from the shock and Quinn didn¡¯t want to stand out, so the entire scene was a bit awkward. A young man silently standing in front of many kids waiting for an answer.
After some time, Fran knew no one would voluntarily answer; hence he pointed at one kid and asked him again without losing his patience. The kid answered slowly after some hesitation.
¡°Teacher Fran my name is Gilbert Huston, teacher bear only told us to get on the cloud he didn¡¯t explain anything else. But Vice-Principal Albus explained the principle behind banning technological devices.¡±
The kid got courageous seeing the new teacher and spoke after a little consideration to impress the teacher. Little did Gilbert know his courageous attempt was akin the digging his own grave as Ben was listening to the kids from the forest.
Fran was speechless hearing the student referring Ben as Bear and praising Albus in front of Ben; in fact, Fran even slightly admired his courage. He was even more shocked to find that Ben didn¡¯t even introduce himself to the students, but when he thought of Albus¡¯s presence, he instantly understood how the entire assembly played out.
¡°Gilbert it¡¯s not teacher bear, he¡¯s Teacher Ben also The Head of Dusty Zephyr Island so be respectful. Okay everyone let¡¯s go to the classroom and continue our discussion.¡±
Fran actually wasn¡¯t worried about Gilbert, since he knew Ben very well. Though Ben might act like a boorish idiot, in fact, he was pretty friendly and reasonable.
After that, he took everyone to their classroom inside the nameless old building. The class was filled with desks and chairs for small children.
¡°Everyone take a chair, the boys on the right and girls on the left.¡± Then Fran went to the stage waited for the kids to settle down.
¡°All of you must be from different countries and came here to learn about cultivation. Some of you might have even asked your parents or the other about cultivation. But the person you have asked would have never given you a straight answer am I right?¡±
When the kids heard this question, they all became serious and nodded their head. The small kids were like university students listening to a critical lecture.
¡°Your parents merely wished to give a happy and carefree childhood. The rest of your life will revolve around cultivation, and it will bring tremendous pressure to the people. Those short 5-year period are the only time you could retain your naivety and innocence.¡±
¡°Don¡¯t get me wrong, cultivation is not some horrible or a boring thing; in fact, it is one of the most fascinating things that I have ever known. Generally, people forget to enjoy cultivation and try to force it on themselves and face many severe consequences.¡±
Ch 16 Cultivation
¡°So first enjoy cultivation and everything will automatically fall in its place; don¡¯t ever forget this else you''re bound to suffer. Before getting on to cultivation, let me briefly deliberate about our school.¡±
¡°Natal Dawn School is in Pregrandis Lake, before the school was constructed Pregrandis Lake was also one of the Dead Zone of Unigux. The lake was surrounded by a thick blanket of impregnable forest crawling with Demonic creatures monsters.
Pregrandis Lake has the thickest Qi in Unigux, and thus the monsters near it were all-powerful. Even then, many cultivators didn¡¯t hesitate to take the risk for the various treasures. Some valiant cultivators tried conquering the lake for abundant Qi but all of them regardless of their cultivation realm were ruthlessly killed.
The beasts will also frequently cause beast tides killing thousands of people. In one such beast tide with the beloved daughter of our school founder was slaughtered.
Our Founder being the strongest cultivator of his time killed his way through the forest and conquered the lake.
After the carnage in seek of solace for the wounded heart Natal Dawn School was established.
He made numerous contributions to the school which helped the school grow to such height.
Ronadak city was built by the later generation to support the school and settlements near the school. In fact, more than three- fourth of the population in the Ronadak is connected to Natal Dawn School in one way or the other.¡±
Fran narrated their school¡¯s history with immense pride.
¡°You must have realized that our school has a large student population; so the islands in the lake were made into separate sections. It could be said that every island is an independent school, or the islands are schools inside a school.
¡°Then every island was given a distinct name and group of teacher manage the island. It also improves the competitive spirit of the students. Our island is Dusty Zephyr Island and the teachers are headed by Teacher Ben.¡±
¡°Though there is fierce competition between the islands, the whole school is knitted as close as family. Whenever there one of our school members faces a problem, we must back them up.¡±
¡°The main reason our school successful till now is unity; you are the future pillars of our school so remember this no matter where you or who you become or what you achieve your school is your family.¡± Fran was preaching like a priest.
¡°I suppose you have heard enough of the school now let¡¯s start about cultivation. Everyone must have already realized the importance of cultivation, so listen carefully.¡±
The moment he started to talk about cultivation, a crazy glint appeared in his eyes like a fanatic football fan who was explaining about football.
¡°Cultivation is absorbing Qi from the surrounding into the body. There are many ways to do cultivation like typical cultivation through various manuals, soul cultivation, spirit cultivation, body refining, Qi-synthesis, law attainment and the list goes on.¡±Enjoying this book? Seek out the original to ensure the author gets credit.
¡°Though it sounds simple, actually there are numerous complex issues involved in cultivation which are beyond your current level. So let me put in simple terms for your understanding.¡±
¡°Everything we do is cultivation; for instance, even when you are sitting Qi will be absorbed by the body. This process is called Qi-respiration it¡¯s just like breathing the only difference is that we breathe through our nose, but we cultivate through the pores in every part of the body.¡±
¡°Then everyone will think,''Why we have so many methods to cultivate?'' if we could just sit ideally and cultivate automatically?¡± Fran paused for a bit for them think and continued again.
¡°Normally, Qi enters the body and exits, this is a natural phenomenon that takes place in everything from a mountain to a grain of sand from an ant to an elephant. But only a tiny fraction of the Qi is absorbed by the body. The various cultivation methods use different tricks to increase the rate of assimilation of Qi.¡±
¡°Now everyone should have some clarity about cultivation let me test you with a fundamental question. What do you think is the most important thing for cultivation?¡±
Fran waited for the children to think, but he didn¡¯t give the answer instead encouraged them to try. After some time one boy stood up.
¡°Teacher, I think having an extraordinary cultivation manual is the most important for cultivation.¡±
Though it was surely a wrong answer Fran didn¡¯t scold or discourage the kid he just nodded.
¡°Okay you sit down; others also try to answer I¡¯m not expecting any brilliant or enlightening answers from you guys so just try.¡±
After that, a few more kids answered like divine pills, Qi rich environment, heavenly physique, talents etc. Quinn was watching these silently, he didn¡¯t bother to answer.
In his previous life, Quinn was an outstanding student, it was also one of the reasons he ended with having no friends. He was always a few steps ahead of his peers that they would feel inferior or jealous or envious, so he ended up with no friends.
He wants to lead a different life, so he decided not to actively exhibit his talents; moreover, he was still not clear about the implications of Grade -2 innate body, so it was wise to maintain low-key. Actually, he knew the real reason for his isolation is his personality - cold and repulsive.
After a while, no one answered as they were running out of ideas, so Fran spoke. ¡°All the answers you gave have a certain impact on cultivation, but they are not the most compelling factor.¡±
¡°The most critical point is to have a solid foundation. One must understand that for cultivating, you must first have a qualified body to bear the burden Qi, as cultivation is mainly about the motion of Qi in your body. The process of preparing your body for cultivation is called Body refining.¡±
Body refining nine steps-
Level 1-Skin Hardening
Level 2-Muscles strengthening
Level 3-Forging Bones
Level 4-Blood cleansing
Level 5-Blood revitalizing
Level 6-Blood-Qi fusion
Level 7-Meridian Building
Level 8-Meridian Tempering
Level 9-Meridian Expanding
There are many different body refining arts each has its own properties like
Tremor recoil body art can reduce the effect of an attack by distributing through the body;
Golden metallic body art gives abnormal defence;
Cloudy Gale art makes the body light and speedy;
Fire Radiance art which provides the explosiveness of fire and so on.
The school has many body refining arts; you must carefully select the body refining art as it lays the foundation for your future cultivation. This selection is very crucial, and the art you choose must be suitable and compatible with you.
Everyone must complete your body refining before you reach 10 years. The 10th year of your life is the most important period of your life because it is the most suitable period for Spirit Awakening. I will discuss Spirit Awakening later.¡±
¡°Let windup this session with this and go around the island. Explaining any further might be an overdose for you kids.¡± After that, he got down and walked outside.
Ch 17 Dusty Zephyr Island
The students quietly followed him; since it''s their first class, the students weren¡¯t fully adapted to the environment, all thr kids were a bit stiff. Then Fran toured around the island explaining the prime locations.
First, he went through a primitive pathway carved out in the woods, in such a manner that it wouldn¡¯t disrupt the forest¡¯s normalcy.
The small pathway led them to a colossal balck tower fully made of smooth marble. Fran went near the gate and stopped. He turned around to see the kids staring at the tower in awe.
¡°This is a Refining Tower for body refining students to train and practice their techniques. It has 11 different layers for tempering the body. You will come here to practice after you start your body refining.¡±
Without wasting any time Fran took them to an open auditorium, there was a big stage with numerous chair in front of it.
¡°This place is the Assembly Hall of Dusty Zephyr Island, monthly once all the students must gather here. It is a kind of interaction session between the senior and junior students.¡±
¡°You will receive notification before the assembly, it is compulsory, and those who miss it will be punished.¡±
Fran once again started, without giving them any time to play around.
Though it was just a short trip the kids were tired, thus Fran brought them back to the nameless old building.
All the students looked at Fran with a doubtful face. Fran saw the kids and shook his head.
¡°These are all the places you need to know at present. The classroom, training tower and the assembly hall are the only places you will need to visit. Everyone, please collect your private Floating Cloud from me.¡±
Fran took small Cotton like clouds and distributed to all the kids. The kids were excited to receive the unique toy. Though it looked very fragile and flexible, the material was surprisingly resilient.
Even Quinn wasn¡¯t able to tear it apart, let alone other kids. Fran saw the kids playing with the Flying cotton.
¡°Your School Ring will be updated with the class timings, School map and Dusty Zephyr Island map."
¡°One more thing your Floating cloud can only carry one person at a time, so don¡¯t try anything funny. Okay, this is the end of today¡¯s class. See you tomorrow. Report to the class as per the timings given to you."
Then Fran turned around and walked into the old building leaving behind the students who were shocked and stunned.
These kids were pretty much stranded in the middle of nowhere with a brand new device, which they didn¡¯t know how to switch on much less use it to return to the dormitory.
All students started panicking and one guy rushed to the Classroom door and heavily knocked it.
The whole building was eerily silent like a ghost house, after knocking for some time someone from the crowd shouted for their teacher.
Though the kids were confused and slightly scared they did not cry or make a fuss.
All the kids enthusiastically played several tricks with the Floating Cloud in hopes of figuring out a way to open it.
They ordered it like other devices, but it didn¡¯t respond; some tried to stand on the cloud, only to fall over.Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit.
One idiot even tried to drip a drop of blood onto the cloud, unfortunately he bit the fingers too deeply and cried from pain.
Quinn was amused seeing their childish attempts. Though Quinn felt that their attempts were stupid he copied what they did instead of criticizing them.
He was sure that their teacher was watching them and he didn¡¯t want to attract unwanted attention.
After few hours the kids got tired and lost their interest on floating clouds. Moreover, they were all hungry; some desperate students even banged the doors, forgetting their manners.
Quinn wasn¡¯t affected and he stayed calm, earlier he thought of consoling his roommate but then decided against it, he was sure this was some sort of test.
Seeing the commotion Quinn was tempted to calm them and put their heads together to find a way out.
Quinn was hesitant; though it was pure torture to be surrounded by numerous crybabies and crazy kids.
While he was copying others, he also mentally searching for a solution. He recalled everything Fran said from the beginning to find clues.
Though he still couldn¡¯t find the solution, he wasn¡¯t dispirited it was just a way to tend his boredom. Quinn wasn¡¯t really trying hard; he was sure the method would be childish and the actual test is about team-work. While Quinn was pondering a small girl shouted.
¡°Everyone stop and hear me out.¡±
It was a very little girl trying to play boss. She was standing upright with her hands folded, with an serious expression.
¡°I¡¯m Tracy Pogher; we have been trying to activate the cloud for more than an hour, it still not working. So let¡¯s gather the already tested method and find a new method through discussion.¡±
Though she tried to act like a leader and a brave warrior, it was more of a hilarious show of small kids trying to imitate cartoon characters.
Quinn was more relieved than humored by Tracy¡¯s childish performance, he knew they had passed the real test the moment someone stood up.
All the children accepted her proposal, as they were kids. Afterwards, everyone gathered around Tracy and one by informed the various procedures they tried out.
Tracy used her School Ring to make a record of all the data and shared with the entire class. Thus the error of duplication was eradicated, Quinn had to it give to her, Tracy was very smart for a five-year old kid.
And so Quinn stopped thinking about the problem all together. It will only be a matter of time before the method was found.
Quinn realized that this was a test for 5-year-old kids, and only they can solve. Quinn was too mature to solve such puzzles, as much he wished to Quinn could never think like a 5-year-old kid.
Ten minutes later a kid found a way to start the Floating cloud just as Quinn predicted.
The one who found the method was surprisingly Boris.
First, you must place the School Ring on the Flying Cloud and then use your PI to order it to start. Actually many tried to put the School Ring on the cloud, but no one thought of using the PI.
PI is blocked in the school; its function is even lesser compared to School Ring, so everyone ignored it. But Boris tried it out of curiosity and found the method. In reality this was nothing but a random guess.
Everyone copied the same method and started their flying cloud and ordered it go to their Dormitory Lakeshore. All the students passed through the fog on the island and reached the shore.
The Floating Cloud entered into the School Ring after dropping them on the shore. There were many students from different classes coming on a Flying cloud just like them.
The entire crowd literally ran through to the road and dashed the next few minutes to their Dormitories. All their stomachs was growling in hunger so they didn¡¯t even pause to give goodbye to their classmates.
Back in Dusty Zephyr Island, Fran was watching the entire scene; it wasn¡¯t Fran¡¯s idea or desire to test to the kids on their very first class. This is a customary practice carried out in Natal Dawn for decades.
Fran was delighted to have quick-witted to group of students. Having good students is the biggest wish of any teacher.
¡°Its good batch.¡±
Ben appeared behind Fran; though he was standing behind Fran, Ben¡¯s horrible voice gave him out.
¡°Yes, they are smart kids."
Fran answered carelessly without giving much thought. Ben looked at the direction of the dormitory and then nodded as if he agreed with Fran.
Then Ben went out of the building and entered the woods. Fran returned to his study and busied himself.
In the dorm, Quinn was having eating like a staved old beggar, in fact, all the students were like a hungry ghost when they returned to their rooms. They all ordered their Butlers to cook the food immediately.
After finishing the lunch Quinn and roommates decided to have a quick nap. He sub-consciously operated ¡®Origin Soul Manual¡¯. It has long become a habit, now he could sleep without cultivating ¡®Origin Soul Manual¡¯.
Quinn woke up late in the evening and played around with his new friends a bit.
It was mostly resolving their petty fights and judging each game; though logically it should be boring and Quinn strangely enjoyed hanging out with these pure yet naughty kids.
Ch 18 Body Physique
The next morning everyone started at 8 o¡¯clock only for the session starting at 9 am.
Everyone were crazy about the Floating cloud that they spent an hour simply flying around their dorms. Quinn was also enjoying his ride; in fact, he was the most content one of the lot. After all, flying around has always been one of humanity pursuit back on earth.
Bring a earthling he could be more happy to fly around on the clouds, its almost like growing two wings on the legs.
An hour later all the kids were gathered before the Old building. Fran didn¡¯t keep them waiting for long; he came from the old building sharply at 9 a with smile.
¡°Congrats on performing excellently on the surprise test yesterday. A crisis management test is to be conducted on the first day of the class, but you guys handled it marvelously.¡±
¡°Tracy Pogher, please come forward and stand beside me.¡±
Tracy walked from the crowd and stood beside Fran. She was had a mixture of blush and smile.
¡°Every, please give a big round of applause for Tracy, she was the reason you all passed the test. Team-work is the key to success, and she grouped everyone and formed the team, so she will be your leader from now on.¡±
Fran didn¡¯t ask their acceptance or approval; he was just informing them. The whole class was satisfied with Tracy and accepted her as their leader without any fuss.
Tracy was moved to see her class welcome her as their leader and smiled happily; little kids are easy to satisfy.
¡°Ok, let move to the classroom.¡±
Fran let them to their old classroom and waited for the students to settle down. Boris was expecting a small ceremony for finding the method, so he was a bit down and disappointed.
Though he tried to cover it up, his gloomy face couldn¡¯t escape Quinn¡¯s experienced eyes.
¡°In the last class, I taught you about some basics of cultivation and body refining. Actually, the true criterion for selecting a body refining art is your physique. Special physiques are an added advantage compared to normal cultivators, not only that the physique will also guide in the selection of Body Refining Art.¡±
¡°Body physique could be inherited or otherwise. But the chances of inheriting are lesser than a natural formation. Though it could be inherited or naturally formed, there is no pattern for having a physique, it¡¯s completely random.
The heir to the most influential person in Unigux doesn¡¯t have a physique while an orphan from a rotting slum was blessed with one. So don¡¯t cry if you don¡¯t get a physique and don¡¯t dramatize if you get one.
There innumerous types of the physique in this world, though a database for Body physique is maintained it is not exhaustive.¡±This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
¡°In fact, maintaining an exhaustive database about Body physique is impossible because every second many new physiques appear and many physiques vanish. Though there is no full list of physiques, it has 2 categories.¡±
¡°There are two categories of physique Elemental physique and Enhancement physique. Generally called as Elementals and Enhancers.
Elemental physiques can be pure elemental like fire, water, earth, wood, metal, light, darkness, etc.
Or it can also be an imitation of nature which is a combination of various elements like Fire cyclone, Thunder Tornado, Frozen River, Mountain physique so on and so forth.
Enhancement physiques are like an increase in strength, rigidity, agility, unique visions, flexibility etc.
Enhancement physique can be for a particular body part or the whole body.¡±
Elementals and Enhancers each has its own pros and cons.
The elementals will find it easy to evolve compared to Enhancers. The elemental physique will have higher perception in their element so they if they choose an fitting body refining art they will cultivate quicker than others.
If a person has Fire physique and chooses Fire radiance art, he will cultivate faster than an average person due to his perception or affinity towards fire element.
Enhancers might be slow, but it can be considered stronger than its counterpart if appropriately exploited.
If one of you has strength enhancement physique and chose Fire Radiance art, then you would be slower than the person with fire elementals because you don¡¯t have his perception.
But enhancement physique will be stronger than elementals if they are equal in all aspects. The problem is that elementals will improve faster and widen the gap.
In short, Elementals has a boost in the beginning, if improvised perfectly you can leave your peers in the dust. Enhancers is stronger, but it will be at a disadvantage at the start, so you must work harder to catch up with elemental physique.
¡°Not only are there different types of body physiques, but there are also different Tiers. The Tiers start from Tier-1 goes on, higher the tier of physique stronger is the physique.¡±
Fran told everything in monotonous tone in one go without pausing or slowing down for understanding.
It¡¯s apparent that he expects utmost attention from the students and will not bother to repeat for the lazy heads.
After Fran stopped, all the students went into their fantasy world and started dreaming about what prodigious physique they would be having.
¡°Don¡¯t start daydream already, the possibility of having a physique is only 50%, or out of the 50 students, only 25 will have a unique physique.¡± Fran¡¯s words were like dumping a bucket of cold water on the student¡¯s head.
Quinn was secretly shaking his head seeing his cruel teacher; first, he just had to pause after telling awesome stuff about physique and give time to dream about it and then forcefully dash the dream by telling the harsh reality.
He always imagined Fran as a very positive and good-natured teacher, but he never fathomed him to be this sinister.
¡°You guys must train as per my order for one month before taking the Special Physique test. It has been proved that the chances of awakening a physique will increase due to heavy workout, so the more you sweat higher are the chances of getting a physique.¡±
¡°Okay, enough of theory let go outside and start the training.¡±
Fran went outside and made them stand in proper formation with enough space. Then, he performed some exercise and instructed the nuances about those exercises.
In fact, it was an elementary training; all they had to get into a horse stance and do some complex hand signs. Quinn quickly understood the essence of this training, but still, he made few mistakes to prevent any unwanted attention.
¡°Okay, do the same set of training in your dorm; remember, this can only be done twice a day, and anything more will be detrimental. One more thing, make one of your friends point out the mistakes you make; wrong exercises are nothing more than wasted effort. That¡¯s all for today, have a good day. Thank you.¡±
Soon all the kids dispersed and made their way to their dorm¡¯s; the intense training really drained them, so everyone quickly ate before taking an afternoon nap.
