《The Town Of Fairview》 Chapter 1- Broken Down Vans And Baijiu Fairview the supernatural and reality-bending epicenter of this side of the globe full of mutants ghosts and freaks all packed into hundreds of acres of forest and one town dubbed Fairview. The locals go about their daily lives in close proximity to the superhuman and supernatural activity that goes on daily. but their are those who gravitate to this town because of its unique wildlife and aura in search of power, knowledge or simply to work at a gas station. In the middle of the dense forest on the edges of Fairview amidst fog and heavy rain stands an old man cursing and beating a broken down van. Shit why me of all people, why does this have to happen to me, what did i ever do to deserve this kind of misfortune. Li wasn''t a tall man barely reaching 5.6 in height and looking to be around in his late 80s with white hair covering his head or at least what it could cover the old man was cursing up a storm in his thick Chinese accent the source of his anger and frustration his run-down van with the words Li window repairing services. with the slogan, you can''t go wrong with Li but most people in town would disagree. Terrance, Bart get out of this stupid van and help me what am I paying you two for. Out came two figures towering over Li the first figure was a black man with heavy boots and jeans with a black shirt the man had an impressive build and was easily 6.5 in height with a buzzed haircut the next figure was a Caucasian man easily reaching 6.6 rivaling the build of the first man who also had similar clothing with the exception of his shirt being red and his hair being long and slicked back while sporting a beard that rival''s any dwarf. As the two went back to work deep in the forest something was moving it was big and it was giving chase to two slender figures. with this a meeting by chance was about to take place. one that would bring about a group and story that would be spoken of by the town of Fairview for many years to come. Out of nowhere two figures jumped through the window both Terrance and Bart taking notice of both figures each taking in the lovely surprise that would probably cost them their checks seeing as they just broke through the window one was a tall woman around 5.10 with red hair rivaling any sunset any of the two have ever seen and lovely emerald green eyes with a body men would kill for. her hands were smoking it seemed as if she was the one who broke the window. The other women seems to be 5.8 in height with platinum blond hair and eyes with bright blue eyes brighter than blue gold with curves all put in the right places but after appreciating the view the first one to come back to reality was Terrance. Gah really the window! God damn it that geriatric fuck is going to be pissed! Chapter 2- Six Arms And A Chitin Hilt Terrance with his hands on his head shouts. ¡°what the fuck!¡± But before Terrance could say any more a tree went barreling through the already broken window heading right towards the two females. The girls, on the other hand, were deer in headlights having no real time to process what was going on. Before the tree could hit either of them Bart dashed and caught the tree. Terrance seething with rage says. ¡°Ok that''s it this thing is dead Bart throw something at it!¡± bart tosses the tree he was holding into the dark hitting the creature.¡± ¡°Fuck half the store is rubble damn it Mr.Li is going to flip shit.¡± And with that the two left the store to see just what they were facing. And what came into view was a monster reaching over nine feet in height it was a disfigured abomination with seemly no head attached to its torso the body in question seemed to be made of blackened skin and muscle it''s legs seemed to be shaped similar to that of horse hooves but that was overshadowed by its six muscular arms each attached with sharp red claws. Terrance without hesitation charged the beast his body transforming to that of a humanoid beetle with a sharp horn protruding from his forehead. Once close enough to the monster he threw a left hook towards the ribs of the monster. Bart wasting no time conjured up a hammer and ran towards the creature hitting it square in the chest the monster was seemly unfazed it swung its arms and hit Terrance through several trees and immediately grabbed Bart and threw him towards the store. ¡°Terrance while picking dirt from out behind his horn screams.¡± You want to play like that you giant son of a bitch! ¡° Terrance once more charged at the monster this time impaling it with his horn and lifted it up. ¡°Bartholomew quit groveling and kill it!¡± Bart was breathing wildly his skin turning into a bronze color and eyes like blue fire. Bart jumps 20 feet in the air and slams his hammer on top of terrance¡¯s horn snapping it clean off. Terrance just realizing what bart had done screams in agony. ¡° AGH FUCK WHAT THE SHIT!¡± The two girls watching this spectacle take place exchange some words. ¡°Wow I don''t know what irritates me more the fact that they are thoroughly beating the monster that forced us to run away or that they are doing it so nonchalantly.¡± ¡°To be fair to us that creature is damn near immune to magic and we aren''t too good in close quarters fighting. Terrance gave him a kick ¡°You alive their buddy? don''t suppose either of you know any healing magic?¡± ¡°Aye, i know some healing magic and Emily knows some basic first aid.¡± Sometime later after the two girls fixed up Bart while Terrance back in human form made a makeshift table he helped Bart up and put him down on one of the four foldable chairs then they all sat down and began to talk about just what in the hell happened. While motioning to both herself and the redhead. ¡°So first of all let me thank you two for getting us out of that situation my name is Emily and she is Sonny.¡± Sonny reaches into a fridge and pulls out one of Mr.Li¡¯s imitation alcohol. ¡°Don''t bother drinking that swill. It''s the old man''s shitty imitation alcohol let me go get you an actual drink.¡± As Terrance left Bart started to speak. YOU WILL BE WORKING OFF THIS DEBT TO ME FOR THE REST OF YOUR DAYS!¡± Chapter 3 - Corrosion And Magic ¡°Are they ok?!¡± Asked Sunny with concern In her voice. Only because Mr.Li got the food free as he and Luccey had a history one that he always avoided talking about but both Bart And Terrance figured it had something to do with her being Huli jing the Chinese equivalent of a Succubus. While everyone is eating Terrance is asking Sunny about her abilities. ¡°So essentially you can''t keep casting spells left and right because it puts a strain on both your body and soul and both of those combined create power through sheer concentration known as mana?¡± ¡°Yes but not only that, certain task that you would think to be complex really aren''t for example yesterday when I ¡°reassembled" the store all I really did was set things to as they were before, in a way it is like resetting a clock to what it was five minutes ago. Living beings however can still be affected with limitations for example if a man was shot dead in the street i could reset his body to what it was an hour ago however he will still be dead for his soul has already left his body. Haha!¡± Sunny looks at Bart with a frown and says. ¡°Oh haha metal boy has jokes shut up before i melt you.¡± Bart lets out a loud laugh then says with a smile. ¡°The epidermis of my skin is literally made of tungsten do you know the melting point of tungsten Sunny?¡± Emily lets out a quiet chuckle and says ¡°I don''t think she knows what tungsten is Bart.¡± While everyone was laughing Sunny looked up the melting point for tungsten and her eyes got big then she slammed her phone on the table and looked at Mr.Li and yelled ¡°Mr.Li Bart is picking on me!¡± Once she said that Bart didn''t even attempt to reason with Mr.Li he knew what was set in motion Bart got out of his seat and dashed for the exit but it was to late Mr.Li had already lobbed a flask hitting him in the back of the head Bart dropped to the floor screaming in pain Sunny then said with a big smile. ¡°Thanks Mr.Li!¡± The whole diner stops and looks at the group Mr.Li looks around angrily and says ¡°What is it you fools do you want me to toss a few flasks your way too? HUH!?¡± Everyone in fairview knew who Mr.Li and his boys were so most looked away intimidated by Mr.Li. There were a few who weren''t afraid of him but knew Bart was resilient so they ignored them and kept eating. Mr.Li smiling at Sunny says. ¡°If he does it again let me know i''ll put him in his place.¡± Terrance not understanding the power both Emily and Sunny had over Mr.Li starts laughing loudly while taunting Bart. ¡°HA get fucked Bart you swine haha!¡± Emily rushes over to Bart and cleanses him like she did yesterday and says. ¡°That was mean and uncalled for Sunny! We don''t have weaknesses like they do don''t take advantage of them its mean!¡± Sunny frowns then looks away crossing her arms. Mr.Li called everyone back to the table after Luccey had told him off Terrance spoke first. ¡°Ok ok so how did you guys find the tomb for this key anyways?¡± Emily answered. ¡°Well we simply asked around town for jobs we made it clear what our talents were so we found an employer who could pay us he was a finely dressed goblin named Wortbum and he put out a bounty on that creature you both killed yesterday. The creature was living in the tomb where we found the key.¡± Bart still groaning says. ¡°The collector is what folks call him around here. Not a bad guy but always stuck his pointed nose where it doesn''t belong he isn''t dangerous but keep an eye on him.¡± Emily asks. ¡°Why is he called the collector?¡± Bart answers. ¡°Wortbum enjoys collecting random crap everything from ancient relics to naughty magazines in my opinion he''s just a hoarder with some useful items in his pile of junk.¡± While Bart and Mr.Li were talking Terrance has a side conversation with Sunny. ¡°What you did in the store last night was absolutely amazing! Now im filled with curiosity as to what other amazing things you can do Sunny?¡± Sunny smiles and says ¡°Oh i can do alot of amazing things but i think it''s your turn to explain how you shapeshift into a giant beetle?¡± Terrance smiles and says ¡°Haha to be honest i don''t know the science behind my abilities. I just... i dunno feel it like something as simple as swallowing or speaking. I just can transform into a giant beetle an ironclad beetle to be specific on species.¡± Sunny frowns and says ¡°You don''t know how? How long have you been able to transform?¡± Terrance says while shoveling pancakes into his mouth ¡°Ever since Bart and i were eleven years old we have had our abilities.¡± Sunny looks at Bart then back at terrance and says ¡°I can help you two figure out how your abilities work and maybe even enhance them! Sunny¡¯s eyes light up and she says ¡°Can i examine you both from head to toe it will be quick i promise?!¡± Terrance smiles and says with a sly smile ¡°You can examine me whenever you want to.¡± Emily''s face grows red with anger and she screams ¡°No you can''t examine anyone you airhead! Do you realize what your asking!?¡± Bart and Terrance start to laugh loudly. Sunny then yells with a huge guilty smile on her face ¡°Oh quit being a drama queen Emily this is specifically for research purposes!¡± Emily shouts ¡°What type of research involves them stripping for you!¡± Mr.Li while holding back laughter nearly in tears says ¡°Ok ok that''s enough were disturbing the other customers.¡± Emily sits back down crossing her arms and pouts Sunny sits down as well smiling. When they are done eating everyone heads out to find the tomb where Emily and Sunny found the key. The van stops a few miles away from the gas station. Emily says ¡°Were here the tomb is a few miles that way.¡± Terrance and Bart both groan Terrance then says ¡°God damn why did it have to be way the fuck out their.¡± Bart face palms and says ¡°Not again i hate doing this shit.¡± Mr.Li jumps out of the van and says ¡°Bring out my throne boys! Chop chop!¡± Bart and Terrance haul out a foldable chinese litter throne. Sunny laughs, Emily puts her hand over her mouth and holds back laughter. Mr.Li climbs up onto his throne and says. ¡°Well time to get going lead the way ladies well be right behind you!¡± Chapter 5 - Crypts And Good Boys Mr.Li from the comfort of his foldable liter chair is constantly shouting orders at Bart and Terrance on their way to the tomb with Emily and Sunny leading them through the forest. Sunny still giggling from Mr.Li¡¯s chair and his throne bearers says. ¡°Although I find your chair hilarious Mr.Li judging from our situation you should probably put it away now.¡± Emily perks up and says ¡°I concur with Sunny we have no idea if more draugrs are around here we should be carefull.¡± Terrance looks back at bart and says ¡°What the fuck does ¡°concur¡± mean?¡± Bart sighs and looks up at Mr.Li and says ¡°I agree with them Mr.Li we are a huge target with this throne we should put it away now.¡± Mr.Li strokes his beard and says ¡°You make a fair point¡­ Ok boys fold it up AND DON''T YOU DAMAGE IT!!!¡± Bart and Terrance fold up the liter throne and store it in Mr.Li¡¯s box, Emily asks ¡°How does fit in that box it makes no sense?¡± Bart answers and says ¡°It¡¯s a bottomless box that Mr.Li picked up a few years back.¡± Emily smiles and says ¡°Wow, that''s so cool! Can I look inside?¡± Bart smiles and says ¡°That''s not a good idea Mr.Li keeps a lot of stuff in here that are not for the pure of heart.¡± Emily looks up at Bart for a second before Terrance says ¡°That¡¯s a nice way of saying that Mr.Li has a ridiculous amount of porn stashed in that box among other vile objects hahaha.¡± Emily backs away from the box with an unsure look on her face before Bart jabs Terrance in the stomach, Mr.Li says ¡°You done Bug boy? Lead the way into the tomb.¡± Terrance rubbing his belly morphs into his beetle form and enters the tomb Mr.Li looks at Bart and says ¡°Stay at the rear make sure nothing surprises us from behind and you two lovely ladies just direct the buffoon he gets lost easily.¡±Support the author by searching for the original publication of this novel. Terrance enters first and stops the group to look around Mr.Li steps around Terrance and says. ¡°These coffins are rather large for a human.¡± Terrance says ¡°They''re not for humans they are for draugr like the one we killed the last night.¡± Sunny peering over Mr.Li¡¯s shoulder points at the other end of the room and whispers ¡°Look is that an arm? Behind a empty coffin on the other side of the room was a green hand Mr.Li motions for Terrance to check the sarcophagus. Terrance cautiously moves to the sarcophagus tenses up and says. ¡°It''s not just and arm. Its three bodies one goblin an ogre and a draugr, looks like Wortbum sent some men before you two.¡± Terrance scans the room and says. ¡°I see seven coffins four are open and three are sealed we killed one draugr and there is another one dead here that means two draugr are still up Bart you and I need to smash the other three coffins now before they wake up.¡± Bart walks to Terrance and says. ¡°They are sarcophagi, not coffins.¡± As Terrance places himself in between two of the sarcophagi Bart is at the foot of the last one Bart says ¡°On three one¡­ two¡­¡± Bart leaps into the air conjuring a hammer as Bart is in the air Terrance raises both his arms in unison Terrance slams his fists into each sarcophagus beside him and Bart slams his hammer straight through the last one killing three draugr instantly. Terrance rubs his hands together and Bart pulls himself out of the rubble. Sunny and Emily are staring awestruck as they killed three of the very creature that forced them to run. Bart looks at Terrance and says. ¡°I''ll search the rest of the tomb you guys hold up here I''ll take care of the la-¡± Crashing through the wall closest to Bart a draugr grabs him and throws him through the hole it made and charged Terrance. Bart getting up gets charged and slammed into a wall by the last draugr Bart conjures and hammer in his right hand and begins savagely beating the draugrs head until it let him go, Bart slams the hammer into the draugrs chest and sends it flying back through the hole he was tossed through, as Bart walks inside he sees Terrance ripping the limbs off of his draugr, Bart raises his hammer above his head and just before he slams it down the draugr raises a hand up and speaks in a dark deep voice. ¡°WAIT!¡± Bart swings his hammer down but manages to redirect it to the side of the draugrs face, Bart looks up at Mr.Li confused, Mr.Li walks over behind Bart and says. ¡°A draugr that speaks that is rare this tomb must be of great importance if a guardian such as yourself is here, speak.¡± The draugr rubbing its chest says ¡°It was our responsibility to protect this tomb and we failed¡­ I need to inform you of what is sealed away.¡± The draugr with one of its other hands points to a open sarcophagus Mr.Li walks over and looks inside and sees a stone slab with a message carved into it, the draugr says ¡°Read it that is all I ask... I will return to valhalla¡­¡± With that the draugr dies to its injuries, Sunny jumps up and wraps her hands around Terrance¡¯s neck while screaming. ¡°THAT WAS AWESOME!¡± Emily walks over to Bart and puts her hand on his shoulder and with a worried look asks. ¡°Are you ok?¡± Bart looks down at her and says ¡°Im ok just a little dazed being slammed against a wall messed with my head a little bit.¡± Emily grabs onto Barts arm and says ¡°Here come sit down for a bit let me look at you.¡± While Bart and Terrance are resting Mr.Li literally skims the message on the tablet then hands it to Bart and says ¡°Store this in the box please let''s get the last sarcophagus open.¡± Bart stores the tablet and says. ¡°What did it say?¡± Mr.Li while stroking his beard says. ¡°Oh, something about protecting my grandson this and Ragnarok that.. And something about balls and long walks nothing important. Terrance with sunny still clinging to his neck says. ¡°How is none of that important old man? Did you seriously SKIM over the tablet?¡± Mr.Li says ¡°Get up boy and open it already Emily dear please give him the key.¡± Terrance takes the key and moves to the golden sarcophagus and looks back and says. ¡°Everyone stand back¡­ On three¡­ one two-¡± Terrance turns the key and the lid clicks, Terrance slides the lid off then looks inside and steps back and gasps. Bart conjures two hammers and crouches and says. ¡°You good Terrance?¡± Terrance looks back at the group then back at the sarcophagus turns human then eagerly reaches inside. Terrance turns around with a huge smile on his face and screams. ¡°IT''S A PUPPER!!!!¡± Chapter 6 - Mutants Best Friend ¡°PUT¡­ IT¡­ BACK.¡± While the pup is licking Terrance he looks at Bart and says ¡°I''M keeping it!¡± Terrance checks the pup all over and sees a cobalt collar with a glowing rune embedded in it, on the collar itself reads Fenris Terrance says ¡°Oh he has a collar, his name is Fenris!!!¡± Bart facepalms and yells ¡°PUT IT THE FUCK BACK! DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR HOLDING?!¡± Fenris looks back at Bart and growls. Sunny walks towards Terrance and says ¡°Awe he is so cute! Can I pet him?¡± Terrance sits down so Sunny could reach Fenris they then start playing with him. Bart clearly agitated says ¡°That dog is destined to end the world as we know it and you want to keep it as a pet? Cmon Emily back me up here.¡± Bart looks to his side however Emily is sitting next to Terrance petting Fenris, Emily looks up to Bart and shamefully waves at him while holding Fenris, Bart looks at Mr.Li hoping for him to side with him, Mr.Li while stroking his beard says ¡°Terrance Fenris is your responsibility if he poops in the store I will force you to clean it up like a dung beetle would.¡± Terrance, Sunny, and Emily all look at each other with big smiles on their faces. Bart frustrated goes over to the goblin and ogre bodies to check them for anything important, after rummaging through their equipment bart finds a simple note from Wortbum. it reads: The tomb that I want you to investigate has just recently appeared here in Fairview a few weeks ago. As you know the lands in and around Fairview change periodically to different environments. We know it Nordic in origin the two ladies we sent with our key to the tomb a few days ago have yet to return. Your job is simple, go into the tomb retrieve the key and anything left of the two ladies and get out. Do this and I''ll forget that you two crashed my zeppelin. He thought you two were dead.¡± Emily looks up at Bart and says with a smile ¡°If it weren''t for you and Terrance we would have been.¡± Sunny smiles at Terrance and says ¡°What she said, thank you both again.¡± Bart just smiles and stares back at Emily, Terrance with a wide grin says ¡°As long as you''re here Sunny, we got your back!¡± Mr.Li smiles and says ¡°Alright, that''s enough for today let''s head back home.¡± Bart looks back at Mr.Li with a frown and askes ¡°Are we really taking the dog?¡± Terrance runs out of the room while screaming while still a big beetle ¡°YES WE ARE!¡± With Sunny hot on his heels, she looks at Bart with a wide grin and holds up two fingers as she disappears behind the door Bart mutters under his breath as she leaves ¡°I guess we are.¡± Mr.Li was still rubbing his beard as if something was still puzzling him Emily then spoke up ¡°What''s wrong Mr.Li, having second thoughts.¡± Mr.Li looks back at Emily and says ¡°It''s strange that Wortbum would send these thugs in here they were under-equipped for this. Wortbum is a ruthless goblin but he doesn''t waste resources and bodies like this. It''s strange¡­ I do believe we should pay him a visit Bart grab something that looks important seeing as Terrance and the girls took a liking to the pup we must make sure he''s satisfied with something.¡± Bart looked around and decapitated one of the draugrs and began dragging it out of the tomb ¡°Terrance gets a dog and I get the severed head of a walking corpse.¡± Emily looks back at the two bodies of the fallen ogre and goblin still sitting in a pool of blood Emily says ¡°Why not the Wortbums men? Wouldn''t he want to know what happened to them?¡± Bart still dragging the draugrs head looks back at Emily and says ¡°Wortbum doesn''t give a shi¡­ he didn''t care about them. Just one of those draugrs is enough to easily kill ten people, Wortbum knew exactly what he was doing sending them here but why.¡± Emily puzzled as to what Bart said walks out of the ruined tomb she looks back one more time on the dead bodies feeling a hint of guilt for leaving their bodies in the tomb As the group makes their way outside of the tomb Emily asks Mr.Li ¡°Will Wortbum really be ok with a severed head? It Seems strange to me.¡± Mr.Li chuckles and says ¡°My dear what do you know of places like Fairview?¡± Emily thinks for a second and then says ¡°Well we have only been traveling for about two years and we haven''t had much interaction with people like you or wortbum, in fact, this is the first time discovering a town like fairview.¡± Mr.Li looks at her and says ¡°You saw how easy the boys took out five draugr. Those draugrs compared to the rest of the supernatural world are very powerful beings that would normally take a group of at least ten of those goons dead inside the tomb well equipped and experienced to take down even one of them. The heads of one of those draugr is immensely valuable both as a trophy and an ingredient. Emily¡¯s eyes grow big. She stops in her tracks and says ¡°Wait so what your saying is¡­¡± Mr.Li looks back at her with a wide grin and says ¡°Bart and Terrance together are easily the strongest duo in fairview... And i believe with you and Sunny added to our little family we could be far stronger than any of us individually could hope to be.¡± Emily looks past Mr.Li outside and sees Terrance and Sunny playing with Fenris. Bart is sitting on top of the severed head of the draugr watching fenris with a slight smile on his face. Mr.Li steps out of the tomb and with a wide smug grin he says ¡°Ok kids lets get out of here! Bart, Terrance would you kindly fetch my chair.¡± Chapter 7 - The Town Of Fairview After making it back to the old beat up van Terrance and Bart quickly put Mr.Li¡¯s throne back inside his bottomless box and made their way towards the back of the van with Fenris at Terence''s heels as soon as Bart opened the door the puppy with strength not matching his size tackled Terrence and started licking and slobbering all over his face Emily and Sunny sitting at the front with Mr.Li in the driver seat giggled at the spectacle Bart unamused says ¡°Don''t let him salivate all over the van you fool.¡± Terrance still wrestling with Fenris shouts ¡°Don''t be that way Bart he¡¯s just a puppy doing puppy things!¡± Terrance picks up Fenris and moves him closer to Barts direction Bart looked at the puppy its mouth wide open panting in the shape of a smile with many puppy whith saliva dripping from every crevice Bart looks back at Terrance and says ¡°Adorable? You''re literally holding a walking slobbering doomsday dog and all you can say about it is that it''s adorable? Completely ignoring the fact that the dog''s purpose is to bring calamity?¡± Mr.Li with a chuckle begins driving down the road and shouts ¡°It''s just a pup Bart it''s harmless I promise!¡± Mr.Li still looking down the road asks with a grin ¡°Emily do you and Sunny have anywhere to stay this place can be quite dangerous and id rather not drop you off anywhere without knowing you have a room somewhere?¡± Emily looks out the door window into the night sky covered in thousands of stars, the forest illuminated under the moon and star light exposing several small humanoid creatures. Emily focuses on the creatures they are short and scrawny no larger than a toddler with pale dead shredded skin that in some places hung off their bony exterior their eyes small and pitch black their mouths wide open with jagged fangs yellow and plentiful and long arms and fingers tipped nails that resemble Knives. Emily loses the color in her skin and her eyes go wide as two of the creatures begin to savagely beat and claw at the third their mouths opening wide as if they were shrieking but no sound was made, they continued to maul the other creature until it tired and was bleeding profusely its pale skin covered in crimson red its energy drained as it fell onto the ground unable to defend itself, its two attackers began to consume it alive as it tries to struggle to break free then it''s throat is ripped out by the teeth of one of the creatures Emily gasps and looks away with a puzzled look on her face. Mr.Li glances over at her and asks ¡°You ok their Emily? Your looking a bit pale?.¡± Emily looks over at Bart sitting behind her still arguing with Terrance and then back to Mr.Li gives a half smile and says ¡°Ye- yea we haven''t been here for very long so we haven''t really gotten that far into the town. This place can be unnerving and overwhelming at times. In the short time we have been here I have seen things that I never thought possible. ¡±You could be reading stolen content. Mr.Li looks into the rearview mirror on Emily''s side and catches a glimpse of the creatures and chuckles ¡°Well try not to let it get to you and as long as you have someone near you to help all will be okay¡­ Probably. Anyways since you don''t have a room anywhere i''m not going to leave you in the dark even in town it''s no safer than out here. Why don''t you and Sunny stay with us for now instead of paying for a room?¡± Sunny with a huge grin on her face puts her arm around Emily and says ¡°I wouldn''t mind at all and I definitely know Emily isn''t opposed to the idea would you Emily after all someone already caught your attention I''m sure Haha!¡± Emily still flustered just grins slightly and says ¡°Well Mr.Li seeing as we really have no idea what to do in this town I can''t say I dislike the idea honestly it''s been hard for the both of us we don''t really know what we''re doing, we may know magic and enchantments but at the end of the day were still new this....world it''s nothing like we thought it would be.¡± Sunny¡¯s grin disappears as she relaxes her grip on Emily¡¯s shoulder and says ¡°We really appreciate your help and kindness really¡­ this town''s residents aren''t very friendly it''s hard to tell what many of them even are, let alone their intentions and most people here are either too friendly or intoxicated.¡± Mr.Li shook his head and sighed and wore a face unlike the energetic old man they came to know in these short days but a seasoned veteran of the magical word and a proud father. ¡°You speak the truth Fairview is a place of power, money, sin, and muder in all honesty it''s no different from nature... the weak die and the gullible are deceived the old are left behind and the strong survive it all depends on who you decide to keep close and who you decide to trust and your deep desire to succeed and survive. Mr.Li with a great smile on his face looks over at Emily and Sunny says ¡°those two in the back for example they are strong, intelligent and fearless the monsters ive seen those two take down... monsters that would send shivers down the spine of any experienced hunter. They won those battles because even when they were beaten even when they were exhausted, mutilated and in Terrance¡¯s case IMPALED their hunger and will to live and succede brought them to victory. I take great pride in my boys and their abilities they are one of a kind those two and will survive no matter what happens. They have that burning desire in their hearts to live and to win that''s what it takes to survive here in fairview and I have no doubt that you two have that fire too you just need to bring it out.¡° The girls felt Mr.Li¡¯s pride and sincerity deep within themselves and it caused them both to stop and take in what he said to them they both look back at Bart who was asleep in his seat and Terrance who was laying in the back of the van sleeping cuddled with Fenris, as few moments pass they can see lights in the distance there in front of them came into view a place to small to be called a city but to big to truly be called a town but considering that Town Of Fairview had a nice ring to it most of its inhabitants went with the former Emily¡¯s eyes widen as they enter the town and with a child like gaze she says ¡°This place is so beautiful at night i''ve never seen anything like it back home!¡± Fairview that town you could not find on any map was a thing of beauty and energy from a distance the lights mimicked a Mardi Gra party at full swing the buildings looked like that of those you would find in new Orleans all colored a shade of bright and dark colors green, red, blue, and orange a town full with life and cheer at least on the surface level yes Fairview was a spitting image of New Orleans but at a grander scale it was a town that never slept their was always something to do something to see a party to crash a mystery to solve and monsters to hunt even from a distance you could see people dancing and enjoying themselves people using party tricks to impress their fellow party goers people flying breathing fire from their mouth summoning creatures of unknown origin out of thin air, floats made of magic passing by both on the streets and in the skies ghost joining in the festivities dancing away seemly without a care in the world witches flying on their brooms laughing into the night orcs and dwarves singing fighting and drinking alongside each other elfs high on the latest magical drug to grace the streets danced kissed and drank alongside humans something which happened rarely but not in Fairview even the local law enforcement were hard to miss werewolfs clad in blue uniforms that were made and tailored for their bodys and standing next to them was an ogre clad in the same uniform but what was most eye catching of all were the buildings seemly cramped with even more party goers restaurants with cuisine from all around the world bars with different themes from every part of the globe yes this was Fairview a city of wonder but one must be careful for much like that of an Anglerfish in the deep sea its light will drag you in close only for its jaws to snap and eat you whole.
