Around me is a small clearing, and outside of the clearing is the thick forest, the trees are about 5 or 6 meters apart. I look at my feet to find a small puddle of goo under my left foot... but that can wait for later, looking at my shoes, I find out their shape to be strange; brown, tall, old and sturdy pair of boots, something you would use for going up a mountain, maybe? I¡¯m not sure, but my shoes are not the only thing I find strange. my clothes are even stranger, bright green wool pants, somewhat loose and tied with a string. as for my shirt, it¡¯s the same shade of green as my pants, a but this one is a bit tight, hugging my muscular arms and chest. ¡®hold on a damn second! when the hell did I build up muscles, I was sure that the only words that could describe my body would be "Below Average¡±¡¯ ''Just what the hell is going on? This needs to be tested ''Well, enough playing with the status menu, I can hear the sound of water is getting really close.'' I swipe to the left with the intent to remove all the blue screens in front me, and all of them vanishe. Chapter 4: Big Bad Wolves. I reach the end of the tree line around 20 minutes later, only to find that I¡¯m out of the forest and instead, standing in front of a river, and beyond, a meadow stretches off to the horizon. Short green grass spreads across it with a few trees every here and there. These trees seem to be a little smaller than the ones here, but I can¡¯t be sure since they are far from where I¡¯m standing. The river is around 1.5 meters in width and doesn¡¯t seem to be too deep, knee-high, maybe, and it draws far to each side of the forest edge. I was contemplating going upstream or downstream, when I notice a dirt road just 50 meters ahead of the river. I follow the road with my eyes to see that it continues parallel to the river for a bit than curves away from it. ¡®Well, thatwill probablyend up taking me to civilization, but I don¡¯t see any buildings ahead, and the sun is setting. I really don¡¯t want to sleep in the middle of an open area. I should head back to the forest and rest tonight on top of a tree maybe, but before that, I really need some water.¡¯ I walk closer to the river and get on my knees to drink some, but stop just before reaching the ground and smashing the thing under me. ¡®I see, so this is a Slime, if it didn¡¯t keep twitching constantly, I would have thought it was just a normal orb of glass.¡¯ I try touching the Slime to see if it will react, but the moment I have my finger 2 or 3 centimeters away from it, its body extended and absorbs my finger. At first, I was scared shitless; I thought my finger was done for, but after a second or two, I noticed that nothing happens, except for it slowly sucking on my finger. ¡°Aww, you are a cute one, aren¡¯t you?¡± Or so I thought until I started feeling my finger burning, I quickly retracted my finger and checked it, to see that the skin around my finger is red and was burning like hell¡¯ ¡°Fuck! This hurt!¡± I sigh, stand up and take a step back. ¡®And here I was thinking of maybe keeping it as a pet,¡¯ I sigh again and start looking around for a stick around, and I find one quickly, a meter long stick a few steps away from me, I grab it and turn back to the Slime. The stick isn¡¯t sharp enough to poke the Slime with, but is thick enough to use as blunt a weapon. I raise the stick and bring it back down on the Slime, but not too hard, I don¡¯t want to have slime all over me. The Slime explodes and leaves a puddle of goo in its place, andat the same time, a screen pops up in my vision.

Well, I will have to do it eventually, so I will just do it now and get it over with. Ummm...¡¯ ¡°Uhg!¡± Another jolt of pain runs through my whole body, but this time I stay still, grunting and feeling out of breath. After a few moments, my breath steadies and Istraighten up, my body feels even better than before, the best I felt my whole life, like I could run for hours without a rest, or punch a tree and break it in half, this is awesome!¡¯ I look at the sky to see that the sun has almost set, and I feel alarmed, this is a different world, that has Elfs (me) and Slimes, and I don¡¯t feel like meeting any other new creatures, especiallybig ones, with lots of big sharp teeth, scary, bloodshot eyes, hands and feet with long, sharp claws that could probably rip me to shreds, hmm, yep, yep, exactly like the ones in front of me. ... I look down at the stick in my hand, and back up at the 10 to 15 wolves, slowly coming out of the forest, back down to my stick, and back up to the wolves.

the wolves are about 20 meters away from me, and the one with the highest level is at Lv.8. I consider my options for a second, 1) Fight. 2)Hide. 3)Run. The first one is an absolute no no, as for the second, they already saw me, so this only leaves me with one option. ¡°fuck this¡±I whisper under my breath. I drop the stick to the ground, turn around, and start running as fast as possible, but only to meet the ground, face first, a second later. ¡°OUCCHH!¡± It seems like I¡¯m still not used to my new STR; I get up and look back quickly, to see the wolves standing still, a little taken aback, they seem to be stunned by my little display; I blush for a second, but immediately remember that they most likely want to eat me, and they seem to remember that I¡¯m their dinner tonight. the biggest wolf, which seems to be their leader, start slowly walking toward me, and I could swear that I saw him smirking, but I can¡¯t be sure since I only got a glimpse of him before I was already back on my feet and running, this time a little slower to not trip again. I jump over the river, and head toweredthe Dirt road, and I hear the sound ofmany footsteps behind me, so they are gonna chase me down... ¡®FUCK!¡¯ I start picking up speed but making sure not to trip again, and in less than a 5 seconds, I reach the dirt road; I get on the road and start running at full speed, and after what seems to be 30 or 40 seconds, I can hear the sounds of the wolves foot steps getting farther and farther away, but I don¡¯t look back, I just keep on running, and after another 5 minutes, I can bearly hear their footsteps, but I¡¯m already almost at my limit, a minute or two and I¡¯m gonna be finished, but just when I thinkthat, I hear the wolves howl, and look back to see that they stopped, and are going back. ¡®Holy moly, that was close, I will just run for a bitmore and then stop¡¯ I run for around a minute more and look back, but I can no longer see the wolves. I slow down, and look back once more, to check on the wolves, and once again I find nothing, ¡®good.¡¯ I move to the grass and blob down, laying on the ground and trying to regain my breath. Two bright moons, one yellow and a smaller white one are hovering in the sky, surrounded by thousand of stars, the scene would have been breath-taking, but I¡¯m already out of breath. ¡®This is bad, I was planning on sleeping on top of a tree tonight, but that idea is out of the way, unless I walk back to the forest, find a new area away from the wolves, and make sure the new area has no other creatures there that want to eat make me their midnight snack, which is a ton of work, so that¡¯s a no¡¯ ¡®My other options would be to either continue walking until I reach a town or a city, which might be pointless and impossible since I don¡¯t know how far the closet settlement is.¡¯ another option would be to see if I can find a nearby tree, one of the few I saw when I was still at the river.¡¯ I get up and look around me. And behind me, about 300 meters away, stood a singletree. ¡®Hell yeah!¡¯ I do a small victory pose andimmediately head towards my bed tonight. Chapter 5: Sneaky Stupid Trees. I reach the tree and find out it¡¯s dark blue, about 8 or 9 meters tall, and the same one-meter thickness as the trees in the forest, the canopy is wide, and curves downward, giving the tree an umbrella-ish look and there are some kind of fruit on the top few branches, but there doesn¡¯t seem to be any actual way for me to reach them, whatever, for some reasonI still don¡¯t feel hungry even though the only thing Ihadall day was some water. There are a few branches that canbe used asfootholds to reach a very high branch that I could spend the night on. It would be impossible for me to free climb this tree in my old body, but with this new one, I feel like I have a good chance at doing so. after 2 minutes, I¡¯m setting on a branch 6 meters above the ground, and am trying to get more comfortable, It¡¯squiteuncomfortable but I have nowhere else to sleep tonight. ¡®Today was hectic, waking up in a forest, killing that first slime, all these blue screens, and to end the day, getting chased by a pack of wolves. It was dangerous, very dangerous, I almost lost my finger, and after that, I¡¯m almost lost my life. But I wouldn¡¯t say that it was bad, no, the exact opposite actually. I haven¡¯t felt so excited, so awed and amazed, and soalivefor quite a long time now.Haaahh, I think I love this new world.¡¯ I relax my body, and I can already feel my muscles aregonnaache tomorrow after that run, I look up at the sky; the stars are visible from between the leaves in the canopy, I can appreciate the beauty of the sky more now that I¡¯m not out of breath, and it looks amazing, the two moons are illuminating the entire meadow, and I¡¯ve never seen so many stars like this, with all the city lights and stuff. I feel my eyelids getting heavier and heavier each passing second, and I don¡¯t resist. Today was exhausting, and I really need some sleep. I close my eyes and drift off to sleep.

I¡¯m mad, very mad, so mad I wanna punch a tree and break it in half, and I know exactly which one I wanna punch, I just have to invest more into STR and I can probably do it. and my butt hurt. Now, if you ask me, why am I no longer on top of a tree, but insteadon the ground, glaring at a tree, then let me tell you what happened last night. - - - - - - Normally, when you sleep on top of a tree, you would have a few concerns: *Back pain, because you slept on something hard. *Feeling cold because you slept somewhere high with no walls protecting you. and the most worrying one would be: Falling off the tree. but for me, I didn¡¯t have to worry about the last one, because mytreewas so nice that it started wrapping me in small branches around my waist, legs, and wrists. I felt nothing at first but was startled awake by a sudden strong pressure on my abdomen. I tried to get up but my hands and legs were stuck to the tree by a few branches around them; I tried getting my hands free and succeeded after a few seconds of struggling. Next, I started working on freeing the rest of my body, the branches on my waist were a little thicker, but it came loose after I wrestled with it for a bit, and when I went to start working on my legs, I looked up just in time to be able tododge a branch that was aiming for my head, but the sudden movement of my body made me lose my balance for a second, and that was enough for my body to fall to the side, and off the branch I was on. My weight seems to have been enough to break the branches around my legs, which caused me to fall to the ground, and land on my butt. and it didn¡¯t help at all the what I fell on wasn¡¯t the soft grass, but a thick root that made the fall even more painful. the pain was sharp and so strong that I was gonna puke, but I steeled my stomach. Instead, I screamed. The fall was very painful. ¡°Oww, my poor bottom, what did you do to deserve this kind of pain!?¡± I looked up at the tree with hatred and confusion. Why would the tree attack me? No, why would atree movein the first place? But I get my answer immediately in the shape of a blue box.

My butt still hurt, a lot, and I¡¯m still mad at that fucking sneakyTreashitor whatever, but not as mad as I was yesterday. because amid all the things that happened from yesterday to last night to today, one was at least good. Money! probably!¡± the sack had 13 copper colored coins, 6 silver ones and 2 golden ones. ¡®Oh wow, this is one hell of a find, Iwas worriedabout going to a city or a town with no money on me, this will probably temporarily solve the money problem. Now, all I need is to find a place where I can spend this money¡¯ I continue my walk forward, hoping that I reach a city before the sun sets. Chapter 6: Skills, and The first City. I¡¯m still walking on the dirt road, It¡¯s been about an hour since I woke, nothing interesting has happened since I found the coins sack. The weather today isn¡¯t too hot, nor too cold, It¡¯s probably Spring in this area of the world, if the seasons here are the same as Earth¡¯s seasons¡¯ ¡®Haah... I¡¯m reallythirsty, I need to find some water soon, but strangely enough, I still haven¡¯t felt hungry since I came to This world, What¡¯s up with that, anyway? First Encounter, Not the best TBH. after what as a 15 minutes rest, but turned out to be just under an hour, I stand up and stretched my limbs for a bit, my legs still hurt, but I wanna reach the city before sunset, Which I¡¯m estimating to happen in another 3 hours. after stretching and dusting off my clothes for a bit, I resume walking on the road.
after 20 minutes of walking, I can now see a faraway wall, it seems to be tall, 5 or 6 meters maybe, but I can¡¯t tell exactly how high it is from this distance. ¡®Finally! That¡¯s be the city¡¯ s wall.¡¯ ¡®But what is the wall for, ever since I got out of the forest, other than the , I didn¡¯tencounter a single form of life, and since I slept only 200 meters away from it, I don¡¯t think it move from its place.¡¯ ¡®So, it¡¯ s either they are keeping something fromcoming outor, I was incredibly fucking lucky to not encounter whatever dangerous creatures that the city is trying to keep out with that wall.¡¯ ¡® I¡¯m really excited, It¡¯s the first city I will see in this world. But what¡¯s making me even more excited and even nervous is: My first encounter with the people of this world, Just what people will I meet? I definitely want at least 3 kids, but all of that can come later, I need to reach the city first!¡¯ I change from walking to jogging, wanting to get there as soon as possible, and too excited to notice that my feet still hurt.
Another 20 minutes later, and I¡¯m within a few hundred meters away from the city, I stop my jogging andrevertto walking, but my excitement is only growing the closer I get to the city. From where I¡¯m, I can see that the city wall is big, bigger than I thought, at least 10 meters tall, and what seems to be 3 meters tall wooden gate at the end of the cobble road I¡¯m walking on, yes, cobble, the dirt road off a little while ago, and with a cobble road, Which is a little easier to walk on.Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. I get a few meters closer, now only 5 meters are separating us, and I can see the features of the two guards a little better now, both look like humans, both males, one looks to be in his early thirties and the other a few years older, the younger looking one has orange hair, and the other is blue. ¡®Ooh, exotic hair colors, notice! But, are they gonna notice me soon?¡¯ Just as I was about to fake cough to get their attention, the older-looking guard looks at me, an annoyed look on his face. ¡°Ay kid, you need something or what?¡± (Older Guard) ¡®What? Aren¡¯t they supposed to be? shouldn¡¯t they say something like ¡°Halt! State your purpose for coming here!¡± or something?¡¯.. ¡°No, you are a young adventurer coming to a dungeon city, Anything else?¡± (Older guard). ¡°Oh... I said that out loud¡± I murmur quietly while feeling my face getting hot. ¡°Yes sir, that¡¯s exactly it, I am an adventurer coming to a dungeon city, but isn¡¯t there an entry fee or something? Or any other routine you do here?¡± I said after getting myself together again. The guard looks at me for a few more seconds but seems to lose interest and goes back to playing his game. Just when I was about to tell him how rude he was he . ¡°Go on kid, there¡¯s nothing for you to do here, we are just here to scare away any monster that comes too close to the wall,¡± (Older guard). I stood there for a few more seconds waiting to see if he say anything else, but after seeing he has nothing else to tell me, I look away from the two guards and towards the gate. I collect myself, take a few deep breaths and slowly open my eyes. A nice-looking brick road greets my vision, and I slowly rise my body up to see mishmash of colors and shapes. Yellow, red, green, blue, purple, white, black; those are not the colors of the buildings in the entire street, but the colors of just a single building, the one 5 meters across from where I¡¯m standing. ¡®Holy shit, this building looks like shit, colorful shit, but still shit.¡¯ The base of the building isn¡¯t all that bad. In fact, a quick a look to each end of the street shows me that almost all building, although not as much as the ¡°House Of Colors¡±, are also colorful and exotic looking tool. But buildings aren¡¯t the only thing colorful in this city, it seems. People, all kinds of them. an Elf girl walking along with a cat eared girl and human male, a coupleofdwarves, male and female, entering the House colors, a group of 5 halflings chasing a small, white, furry creature, and many, many others walking up or down the street in a non-stop stream of people. ¡®W-Wow... Holy shit, this is fucking awesome!¡¯ I¡¯m returned to my sense when I hear a cough from behind me, and It hits me just now that someone was asking if I was okay, and it would simplybe rude to ignore them, I turn around to tell the person behind me that, yes; I am okay, thank them for asking, and asking a few questions about the city. Well, that would have been the case if I turned and faced a person, not a wall. ¡°Hmm... I could swear I heard a cough from behind me... Weird,¡± I whisper quietly, very confused. ¡®Was I hallucinating? I wouldn¡¯t say it¡¯s too far-fetched after that overwhelming barrage of... things when I first got teleported... hmm¡¯ and while Iwas considering turning around and head out to find a place to stay tonight, I¡¯m stopped by a sound from above me. ¡°Hey, buddy, up here!¡± (?) It startled me out of my mind when the wall talked, but when I looked up, I saw that it was a person. A huge person. at least 3 meters high and half that in width,and I couldn''t see his face becuase of the beard right above me, and so I took a step back. The huge man was looking down at me with a smile, not the creepy one, but the gently, frindly kinda of smile. he extended his hand, offering what seems to be hand a shake.
