《Kendrick Keen》 Chapter 1 Ken woke up with a jolt, cold sweats sipping out of his pores. Sitting up, Ken noticed he was in an unfamiliar room, a rather new and fresh experience due to his lack of luck in both love and coitus. The room was small, roughly ten meters square. Made of unknown kind of wood, the room gave off a rather peculiar smell. One that reminded Ken of his father¡¯s office desk. Ken looked around and saw no furniture inside other than a table in the corner of the room. On top of the table were a familiar set of clothes. This shifted his attention to his own body. Under the blanket, he was wearing nothing but his trunk. Alerted and embarrassed at the same time, Ken quickly donned his clothes, a small tear accompanied by a faint dark stain on the left side of his t-shirt brought last night memories back to him. He was on his way to the campus, doing his bare minimum to arrive on time. Ken walked through a small alley, a rather dirty and dim one which made people think twice before entering. Ken did not mind it though, as it was a shortcut which saved him about three minutes of circling around the block. As he was passing by, the sound of the surrounding neighborhood became increasingly muffled. Ken paid no mind, as he was busy scrolling down his social media feeds. Especially as his favorite model had just posted a new picture, one was both alluring and inviting to single young men like him. Absorbed in his own fantasy, it took ken two minutes to realized that he should have passed the alley by now. Looking up to the front, Ken¡¯s mind froze. In front of the man was an embodiment of true darkness. Taking shape of a door, the darkness was pulsing and fluctuating about. At the same time, it sucked all the lights within the alley, while expanding insatiably outward. Ken stood still for several seconds, only awaken out of his stupor after he heard the sound of his phone hitting the ground. He quickly tried to flee location, minding not his phone as the prospect of keeping his life was much more important to him at the moment. Sadly, his effort was to no purchase, as his body was rooted on the spot, not moving a single inch as the darkness spread further. Soon enough the darkness wrapped Ken in its embrace. Then it folded itself to oblivion, taking Ken along with it. The darkness was gone as swift as it came. Ken¡¯s eyes once again found some source of lights. Regaining his vision, Ken discovered that he was no longer standing in the alley. He had no time to register his surrounding, however, for there was another weird thing happening right in front of him. Roughly one foot in front of his face was a blue screen with some text in it. Focusing his eyes, Ken began reading the text. You have acquired a new title, [Earth¡¯s Pioneer]. You have acquired a new title, [Outworlder]. It was short and concise, yet the information it yielded brought storm upon Ken¡¯s mind. The single fact that he was no longer in earth was clear, as he was sure there was no technology nor sorcery in earth that could possibly move him from one place to another with little to no discomfort. The clarity in his mind was also proof that he was not under any kind of drug, which by the process of elimination left only one explanation, which was bared right in front of him.If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. At the same time, the blue screen in front of Ken brought another issue to attention. If he was not mistaken, it was something Ken often found in his games, a system notification. This meant Ken somehow gained the ability or privilege, to view information which usually privy to people. And if Ken was once again not wrong, this also meant that Ken had access to a status menu. Intending to verify his theory, Ken¡¯s mind tried to think of a keyword that might summon the screen in question. It was at this moment that Ken heard a noise behind him, getting louder at each moment. Unfortunately for him, before he had time to fully turn his body, Ken felt an impact hitting him on his left waist. For a moment, Ken gained the ability to fly. It was short lived however, as his body slammed upon a tree. The crash took whatever air left in his lung away and he felt enough pain to last him for a lifetime, but he knew it was the time for neither self-pity nor grumbling. Fighting away his dizziness, Ken quickly tried to dismiss the blue screen in front of him, which to its credit instantly went away. Now with a clear sight to his aggressor, Ken recognized it as a boar. It was unlike any boar he had seen. With dark green fur acting as a camouflage and short horn right over its snout, the boar in front of him was evidently born for combat. Ken swiftly ended his inspection, as he saw the boar was once again charging toward him. Even when his body disagreed with him, Ken knew it was time to move, thus he forced legs to dodge to the side. The dodge was a success, as he heard the boar crashing into the tree behind him. Looking back, Ken saw a pleasant surprise. The boar¡¯s horn was stuck inside the tree, whatever evolution its bloodline experienced obviously did not put such a predicament into consideration. The boar was struggling furiously to free itself. Ken took in several quick breaths in succession, his body began sweating furiously. His arrival to a new world was greeted with a near death experience, which meant that this world was dangerous and perhaps not as welcoming as he expected it to be. A beat of pain reminded Ken that he was injured. Ken quickly rolled up his shirt to inspect his wound. He winced once he saw the wound, it was one inch wide and about two inches deep. With action movies as references, Ken was sure he was fatally wounded. A bullet wound or a knife stab in the abdomen was enough to kill a person, let alone one that was several times as large. Looking back unto the culprit, Ken noticed that the boar¡¯s struggle was paying dividend. Its horn was almost free from the tree, which meant that he was soon going to enjoy another serving of the boar¡¯s charge. By then, the young man had quickly realized the possibility of death and he was not at all ready for it. He soon took a direction opposite of the boar¡¯s face and fled the area. Ken had been walking for ten or so minutes, his injury meant that his stamina was limited and running was not an option. Looking around, he saw that the jungle he was currently in had few wild inhabitants, giving a possibility of a civilization nearby. Finding hope, Ken shouted for help a few times, forgetting the fact that he was in alien world with the possibility of being the only human in it. After another ten minutes, more than twenty shouts for help, and tripping himself twice, Ken was close to his limit as his wound was not getting any better. He sat down and rested himself upon a tree, not minding the dirt or moss sticking to his body. He was probably going to die and become a corpse anyway, why bother keeping himself clean. His consciousness was fading, gone was the hope for help, as they would not make it in time to cater to his wound even if they arrive. His last thought was that he was grateful that at least there was no one to grief his sudden disappearance, being an orphan as he was. He forced one last smile upon his face, then he closed his eyes in peace. As his recollection finished, Ken remembered one important detail upon his awakening. The wound on his waist was gone, along with any trace of damage or pain that represented his experience the other day. If it was any consolation to the nightmare of a day he went through yesterday, his instaneous recovery let him know that magic was a thing in this new world. Ken closed his eyes, if he wanted to survive in this world of magic and monsters, he had to be prepared. First, he would finally do what he failed to do yesterday. ¡°Status¡± Chapter 2 ¡°Status¡± Name: Kendrick Keen (High Human rank 1) Level: 1 (0/10) Class: None- Title: Earth¡¯s pioneer, Outworlder STR: 5 DEX: 4 END: 6 VIT: 5 INT: 5 WIL: 7 Free Attribute Points: 2 Skill: None- Looking at his status, he was confused as to what a High Human was. As soon as the question popped up in his mind, a new screen showed up. High Human 1: A superior form of the humankind. During the Ancient Era of Kaffanah, high humans were worshipped as the ruler of the world. Due to a blasphemy committed by their Ancient One, high humans were punished and expelled from the Great Continent of Yerell. Trait: 120% modifier to all attributes. Now that¡¯s nice. Ken was not sure as to why he was specified as a High Human, although he had some ideas. What he was sure of was that the trait would be a huge boon for him in the long run. Seeing as the system was responsive and user friendly, Ken tried to examine every detail of his status. The attributes were self-explanatory, which brought him to his title. Focusing on them brought another screen in front of him. Earth¡¯s pioneer: The first creature from Earth to visit the Great Continent of Yerell. Bonus: +1 free attribute points every two levels. Outworlder: Creature of another world. Bonus: System empowered linguistic assistance, enable user to perceive and interact with languages of civilized creatures. You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story. The fact that he was no longer in earth was apparent and clear as day. Panic or fear was not in his mind as what he experienced the other day was enough stimulus for him to override any emotion he felt about the sudden transmigration. At least this title solves one of my concerns. Gratified and relieved that he was able to converse with other people, Ken scanned his status screen one last time. All that was left was his free points. As he was not sure about what to expect in the future, Ken believed he should not invest his points prematurely. Seeing as whoever saved him the other day was probably not going to harm him, Ken decided to learn more about this new world before deciding his path of growth. Having reviewed all the information he had on hands, Ken ran out of things to do. Delaying any longer would do him no good. Now it was time to face his savior. Stepping outside the room, Ken saw that the house was made of the same material as his room. He was about to explore the building when he heard a gentle voice speaking to him. ¡°I see that you have regained consciousness, how do you feel?¡± The voice came from his left, to which direction he found a woman sitting down beside a table. Walking toward her, Ken replied. ¡°I feel fine, thank you. Were you the one who saved me? How long was I unconscious for?¡± "I found you yesterday. It was nothing really. I was curious however, why were you lost so deep into the forest?¡± Now closer to the woman, Ken saw that she was a beauty. Silky black hair flowed along her curvy body, fitting perfectly with her chestnut skin. It was a sight for sore eyes indeed. Ken was dumbfounded as his eyes moved up and down appreciating the woman before him. A cough from the woman waked him out of his amazement. Embarrassed, Ken replied. ¡°Uh. Sorry, what was the question again?¡± The woman mumble something under her breath. Ken could swear he heard her saying human. Then she repeated her question. This once again left Ken dumbfounded, he didn¡¯t prepare an explanation for this topic. Any thought occupying his mind was gone instantly. Then come the panic and worry disabled his logic. Being the first earthling stepping foot in this world showed just how rare a transmigration such as his was. Ken was not ready to expose himself to whatever consequences there was to an outworlder such as himself. A lie was brewing, he was about to open his mouth when he closed it back. Between his near-death experience yesterday and him being stranded in another world, Ken believed that he should have at least someone to rely on. And right now, he could not rely on himself. Kens eyes moved toward the woman''s face, studying her eyes. Ken¡¯s dilemma had costed him several minutes of thoughts, and during this time the woman had moved her attention elsewhere. The woman was calm, drinking what Ken believed to be hot tea slowly from a cup in her hands. When she noticed his stare, she put the cup back down on the table, the woman looked back at Ken, waiting for his answer. Ken closed his eyes, inhaling and exhaling hard twice. Ken knew no one else in this world, and he might not have the chance to meet another, if he could not survive the jungle out there. Saving him was enough proof that the woman had no bad intention toward him and that was enough cue for him to take the risk. It¡¯s a leap of faith. Jason said in his mind, quoting a book he once read. "Okay, now where do I start¡± Chapter 3 ¡°Then I lost consciousness, before finally waking up here¡± Ken finished his recounting. To his disappointment, the woman had long lost interest, probably since the part where he ran away from the boar. He only finished the story because stopping halfway would leave a bad taste in his mouth, like having a good steak along with a glass of apple juice. Ken took the woman¡¯s silence as a cue to start asking his own questions. ¡°um, do you mind telling me your name?¡± ¡°You can call me Lev¡± The woman answered non-chalantly. Ken took it positively, as the woman seemed like she was not disinclined to respond to him. ¡°Lev is it? if I may ask, where exactly are we?¡± This time, the woman had a change in expression, pity was seen in her eyes. Slightly shaking her head, she said. ¡°You are unlucky, of all places, you ended up here. This jungle is far separated from any civilization, with me being the only exception. If you want to go to any human civilization, you must at least possess strength equal to a Level 20 Human Warrior, and even then, you have to be lucky to survive the journey.¡± You have received a new quest. Find a human civilization in 1 week. 0/1 Reward: 10000 Experience, +5 free attribute points. Failure: -2 All AttributesThe narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings. Tooltip: 0/7 days remaining. Ken had no time to respond as his new quest suddenly popped up. I got to do something about it suddenly appearing in front of me. Lev noticed his eyes went elsewhere as he read the quest prompts. ¡°What¡¯s the matter?¡± she asked ¡°I just received a new quest. I have to find a human civilization within a week, otherwise I would receive a penalty of a decrease of all attributes by two points.¡± Ken truthfully answered, slightly perspired after realizing the difficulty of the quest. Then Ken remembered how he Lev healed his injury within a day, which meant that the woman before him should possess a quite significant prowess. He also noticed that there were no other beast that dared to approach or even stay close to this cottage when he was escaping the boar yesterday. Although he was embarrassed to ask for more help from the woman after she had saved him yesterday, he forced himself to ask. The woman obviously noticed the way he looked at her, then softly shook her head. ¡°I am bound under a contract to never leave this forest. There was a barrier surrounding 20 kilometers radius from this cottage which can detect me once I passed it. Even the closest human town I knew was about 70 kilometers away. I can help you pass the 20 kilometers, but that will not make much difference as the stronger creatures stayed outside the barrier. The one you should be wary of were those that knew better to stay away from me.¡± Sadly, that was all he got from her, no matter how he tried to play around the situation. The fact was that the system, or the Omniscient Whisperer as Lev call it, knew enough about his circumstance and provide the quest with Lev¡¯s barrier in consideration. Ken also noticed how Lev implied that if not for the barrier, she could easily help him, as the creatures outside were no match for her. Knowing there was no other way but to finish the quest by himself, Ken changed the topic toward how to improve himself. To which Lev simply told him to push keep pushing his limit. It was vague, but the concept was familiar to him. The one-week limit was quite generous, if he were to quote Lev. When he inquired further, she explained that he only needed at most two days to travel the full 70 kilometers, which would be even faster if he invested in strength and dexterity. That left him with 5 days to improve himself and prepare for the journey. Thus, his first day of training began. Chapter 4 The beast let out one last growl, shock filled her eyes. The human she preyed upon two lights ago had just landed a killing blow upon her. It was shocking how someone who barely survived their previous encounter had suddenly became a powerhouse to which it could not hope to defeat. Truth be told, her death was a release. After her whole tribe died to the Grey Savages long ago, she had lost her will to live. It was only to honor the dead, and the unlikely chance to take revenge on her nemesis did she even tried to survive for so long. Her last vision was the human standing over her, pulling out the long spear he had stabbed onto her. If it was him, perhaps he can do it. Then she was alive no more. Ken felt a surge of energy entered his body, representing the experience he received as reward for the kill. The feeling was exceptionally pleasurable, comparable or even better than beating his own dragon. Ken could imagine people getting addicted to killing, simply because they wanted to experience this pleasure over and over again. Sadly, it barely lasted a moment, as his body had absorbed all the experience he received. Ken then focused onto the blinking dot on the top left corner of his vision. His four minutes in tweaking with the system had resulted in a more subtle notification. The dot expanded into a now semi-transparent blue screen. You have slain a LV8 [Wood Tusker], 80 experience acquired. Level Up, +3 free attribute points. ¡°Status¡± Name: Kendrick Keen (High Human rank 1) Level: 4 (40/100) Class: None- Title: Earth¡¯s pioneer, Outworlder STR: 8 DEX: 6 END: 8 VIT: 6 INT: 5 WIL: 8 Free Attribute Points: 10 Skill: Observe lv4, Spear mastery lv2, Sneak lv2, Ambush lv2, Dodge lv1. Looking at his improved status, Ken saw that he had made some significant progress, especially toward his strength which increased by a whole 3 points. Although he had to give credit to Lev who kept replenishing his stamina with her spells, that was still from just one day of training. Ken even considered staying in Lev¡¯s cottage and trained for another day. The idea was shut down by Lev, who stated that only the early numbers could be increased by training. According to her, the attributes growth would slow down significantly after it reached 10 points. Which by then would require several days of training or even weeks of training to increase it by a point. His skills were all acquired by some simple repetitions and trainings. Only simple skills such as these are able to be learnt easily, as they belonged to the Basic Skills category. The Uncommon Skills and the rarer ones are harder to get by, as it required proper mentoring or learning it by using a skill book. Closing both the status and the notification screens, Ken noticed that there was another notification blinking about. As he had changed the attribute increase and skill level up notification to manual inquiry, he was curious as to what the notification was about. Ken then shrug and opened it.If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. You have received a new quest. Avenge the Wood Tuskers Pack, Hunt down members of the Grey Savages tribe. 0/10 Reward: 12000 Experience, Unknown. Failure: None. Tooltip: 0/30 days remaining. The new quest confused Ken. He was the one who killed the boar, so a quest that told him to avenge it made no sense to him. He also knew nothing about the Grey Savages tribe, and for the first time ever, his inquiry was ignored by the system. The good news was that the quest was optional, with no repercussion toward failing the quest. Dismissing the quest screen, Ken checked one last time for another notification. When he found there was none, he crouched and touch the boar¡¯s body. The beast shimmered into small lights particle, then disappeared, leaving only its horn on the ground. Taking the horn, Ken noticed it was several inches longer than the boar¡¯s horn, making it one foot long. From his own experience, ken knew how sturdy the horn was. Holding it in his hand, Ken felt the horn base fit perfectly in his grip. Thinking it may be used as an emergency weapon, Ken tossed it into the skin sack he got from Lev. Satisfied with his last performance, Ken began looking for another foe. He had a deadline to chase, and a quest to complete. The day was young and the jungle residents were not safe just yet. Ken heard the sound of a stream. By the sound he heard, it was several hundred meters away to his west. Recalling his path, he had walked about 2-3 kilometers north from Lev¡¯s cottage. Ken had gone the way he came from two days ago, as he had previous experience in the area. The prospect of clean and fresh water reminded Ken how thirsty he was. The water sack he brought along had been emptied some hours ago, not that it was his fault, the sack could barely hold half a liter of water. Ken began walking toward that direction, while for his own safety keep marking a tree every some ten or so meters. The mark was simple, just some random scratch from a stone he found nearby was enough of a sign for him. As the sound got louder, Ken was sure he was close to the stream. Unable to contain his thirst any longer, he started to jog. Careless as he might seemed, his eyes were still darting left and right, skimming for any danger lurking in the woods. Arriving at the small river safely, Ken unconsciously smiled. The water was clear, evidence of the lack of pollution. If he were still on earth, most of the water bodies he had access to would be black or brown, filled with human¡¯s garbage or factory waste. Not bothered to waste any more time admiring the mother nature, Ken plunged his face into the water, as he saw no creatures lurking under the water. Only after he gulped down several mouthfuls of fresh water did he finally pulled his face back out in satisfaction. Ken then took off his back sack, taking out the smaller sack meant for water. Removing the stopper on the sack, Ken hummed happily as he leaned toward the water to fill the sack. The movement might had just saved his life, as he heard something zooming past his back, and hit the ground not far away from him. Suddenly alerted, Ken dropped his water sack and hurriedly picked up his spear and skin sack, which was in the form of a back-string bag. Then he made a sprint toward a big rock which about 5 foot tall. Having ensured of his immediate safety, Ken take a peek at his attacker. It was, no, they were a pack of monkeys. Making a quick count, he found 5 of them, all standing or sitting on top of the trees. With their brown fur and height of about two feet tall, the monkeys were somewhat similar to the monkeys he saw on earth. What distinguish them from their earth-bound cousins was that their eyes were far more feral and wilder. When one of the monkeys shouted something which he believed was an order to kill him, he noticed another differentiating feature, which was their teeth. Ken knew from a glance that a single bite from one of them was enough to tear a piece of his body apart. Ken¡¯s observation yielded him a system generated information, which he quickly opened. Name: - (Blood Jaw Ape) Level: 6 Class: Grunt STR: 5 DEX: 7 END: 4 VIT: 4 INT: 3 WIL: 4 Observing the other apes, Ken found they were all level 5 or 6. Sensing the dangerous situation he was in, Ken¡¯s mind quickly put itself to work. The sheer number of opponents was enough to kill him several times over. He knew it was no longer time to hoard his points. Ken quickly opened his status screen and split most of his points between strength and endurance, leaving the last few for dexterity. Then he steadied his spear for a bloody battle. Chapter 5 The primates rushed toward the young man, abandoning their high ground advantage to end his life swiftly. Judging by how fleshy he was, the prey in front of them was enough to sustain their pack for two days. There was rarely any easy target left in this jungle, and those which were still around were all smart enough to avoid their territory. Ken quickly looked around, trying to find any good strategic position for him, as well as any flankers that might catch him off guard. To his delight and disappointment, the apes were not smart enough to make such strategy, or perhaps they underestimated him so much that they felt no need for such hassle. The bad news was that he was in an open field, and that fact meant he had to face all 5 of them simultaneously. Noticing the first two of the pack were getting close, Ken charged forward, intent on taking the first blood. His spear pierced through the first ape by its abdomen, its scream followed right after. Ken almost wince by instinct, instead he swiped his spear toward the second ape, slamming it to the side. By this point, the other 3 apes were already in melee, all three attacked from different directions. Ken did his best side stepping to the left, dodging the right most foe while simultaneously hitting the left one with his spear¡¯s butt. His increased muscle strength, along with the momentum generated from his movement proved to be an overkill, as he heard several cracking sounds coming from the ape¡¯s body. Ken was not safe just yet, as the one in the middle had reached him and bit him by his right shoulder. Ken screamed in pain as the beast tore a chunk of his deltoid muscle. Ken panicked and let go of his spear, grabbing the monkey by its head, he pulled it away from his shoulder. He then slammed it on the ground, and gave its face two heavy stomps, deforming its head. A surge of pleasure came into his body as the ape died, catching Ken off guard. This opening almost cost him his life, as he barely dodged another pounce from the apes. Ken steadied himself, only the one he swiped away and the one he dodged were left standing. Ken made a quick work out of the two, fighting them with his bare hands as they were too nimble and close to fight with spear. Taking several scratch wounds but nothing as heavy as the one on his arm. As he finished the two, ken saw that the ape he stabbed with his spear and the one which bones he broke were still alive. They were unable to move, fear was shown clearly in their eyes. He sighed, then took his spear and gave them a swift ending. Ken¡¯s whole body was covered in sweat, blood still dripping down his arm. Ken was filled with fear while reviewing the fight. The apes themselves were manageable, as his upgraded status gave him enough power to overwhelm them. It was instead the experience and the pleasure it brought along that almost killed him. Shaking his head, Ken then opened the notifications. You have slain a LV6 [Blood Jaw Ape], 60 experience acquired. Level Up, +2 free attribute points. You have slain a LV5 [Blood Jaw Ape], 50 experience acquired. You have slain a LV6 [Blood Jaw Ape], 60 experience acquired. The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. You have slain a LV6 [Blood Jaw Ape], 60 experience acquired. You have slain a LV5 [Blood Jaw Ape], 50 experience acquired. You have slain 5 enemies in a single fight by yourself, 14 experience acquired. The last notification was new, as he never fought more than one enemy at a time before this. The system quickly came with an explanation. As a solo fighter, he would receive an extra one percent experience from any successive kills he did in a battle. A quick recalling at the apes¡¯ levels confirmed the system¡¯s explanation. Previously when he inputted the attribute points, Ken had no time to review his status. Now that he was not in any immediate danger, he was eager to see how much he grew before the fight. ¡°Status¡± Name: Kendrick Keen (High Human rank 1) Level: 7 (254/280) Class: None- Title: Earth¡¯s pioneer, Outworlder STR: 14 DEX: 9 END: 15 VIT: 6 INT: 6 WIL: 8 Free Attribute Points: 2 Skill: Observe lv5, Spear mastery lv4, Sneak lv3, Ambush lv2, Dodge lv2, Physical resistance lv1. His strength and endurance were clearly much higher than before, his performance in the immediate battle after the upgrade was clear evidence of how much stronger he became after updating his status. He had even received natural increases in both endurance and intelligence after a whole day of continuous fighting. All in all, his day of training outside had been a fruitful endeavor. Looting the dead bodies in front of him, Ken received 4 ape pelts and a pair of jaw bones. The pair of jaw bones were categorized as a single item. Not sure what to do with the loots, he tossed them along with the pelts into his back sack. Ken then picked up his water sack and filled it to the brim. While he had Lev¡¯s healing spell waiting at the cottage, he still took his time to splashing water on his wounds to wash the dirt off. He did not want to bet on Lev¡¯s spell against the possibility of infection. Wounded and tired, Ken was in no condition to have another fight. He then strode east, using his marks to navigate his way home. He had enough fight for the day and his body deserved a rest. Ken sighed in relief, the pain from his wounds dissipated as his wounds closed in the matter of seconds. Even the biggest wound, the one on his arm was gone in no more than 10 seconds. ¡°Thanks again Lev, I owe you one¡± ¡°At this rate, you would owe me favor faster than I could collect them¡± Lev said with a smile teasingly. Ken out a strained smile as he unslinged the back sack, taking out the loots he obtained from his day of adventure. As he put the last item on the table, he offered. ¡°I got several items during the day, see anything you need or want to take?¡± ¡°Its fine, you can keep them. You would need something to sell for money when you arrived at the town. I appreciate the offer though¡± Shrugging, Ken then put them back in his back sack, while reviewing his loots. For a day of adventure he got 6 pheasant meats, 5 ape pelts, 4 rat fangs, a pair of ape jaws and a boar horn. Apart from those, he also got a sticky toad¡¯s leg, which he threw away immediately. He could live without it, and without it shall he live. ¡°That¡¯s a good point actually, how much do you think these stuffs worth? let¡¯s say¡ use a meal or a night of sleep for measure, lets not include the jaws and the horn, I might have a use for them later¡± ¡°I have not been there, or any human town in a long time. But I believe those stuffs would be enough for you to last 3 to 4 days in any human town.¡± A day of dangerous work for several days of sustenance and shelter. It was not a bad deal, considering the people in this world can grow much faster than any human or creature in his own world. His life would only be getting better by time as he leveled. At least he hoped so. He later enjoyed a good vegan meal with Lev, his third one in his two days of stay. His small talk let him know that she was fine with eating meat but chose not to for she had little use of the energy it provided. Yes, people living in a magic world knew about calories, what a surprise. Ken then made several conversations about fat decreasing magic and stuff, talking about the huge business available if one can do such thing, to which Lev quickly excused herself with a yawn. Ken smiled and bid her a good night, then he went to his own room and have a sleep. Tomorrow would be another busy day.
