Rena and I did not know what was going on so we followed them with my sword and Rena with her bow. We made it to the gates and seen a hoard of orcs and minotaur¡¯s attacking. Everyone rushed to the gate hoping to kill as many orcs and minotaur¡¯s as possible. Rena and I also went. We rushed into the hoard of monsters and was slicing and shooting arrows until I ran into a minotaur bigger than the rest. It punched me and I blocked it with my sword but was sent flying. Rena was raining down arrows on it. But it did nothing but pissed it off more and it started to charge at Rena. I took my sword and sliced the back of the minotaur leg it yelled in pain and started chasing me again. All I could do is dodge. Rena kept shooting it with arrows while its attention was on me. I yelled to Rena and asked, ¡°how many arrows do you have left?¡± She yelled ¡°back and said 5.¡± I threw some dirt into the minotaur eyes and made my way to Rena and whispered in her ear. We made it to the front desk and handed the paper to the person on the other side. After we left the slave merchant, I was afraid of what they would do to me, but I was surprised again they took me out to get better clothes and then out to eat. I did not even think about eating with them till my master told me to. I looked at him, but he told me it was an order that we all eat together. This made me happy it felt like I had a family again. I asked my mistress to order something because I could not read this made me shy and embarrassed, but my master hugged me, and my mistress grabbed my hand and said it was ok they would teach me. I felt my tail wagging because I was so happy. My mistress ordered me some sushi. My species loves fish, so I was moved to tears. We headed to the adventurer¡¯s guild to do our first quest. We went to the receptionist''s desk and asked what quests we could take. The receptionist explained to us that adventurers are ranked from F to SS. You can get promoted by defeating monsters of a higher rank or do quests for the guild and eventually get promoted. With each promotion, we can take that rank quest or lower. We thanked the receptionist and got ready to go to the quest board and stopped us and asked, ¡°Are you guys a party?¡± ¡°yes, we are why?¡± she smiled and explained to us that we could open a party menu to check each other health and stamina. We thanked the girl and walked over to the quest board. We picked something easy for our first job.

I made it close to the cabin then 4 goblins attacked me I killed 2 then 2 arrows came flying killing the other 2. I looked over to the west and seen Kureko taking out 4 goblins with blurring speeds. 11 down 9 to go. We made it to the cabin door and then something kicked it opened 7 goblins ran out. I took out 4. Just my luck I got to fight this thing myself. Rena is guarding our rear and Kureko busy with the assassin. I sighed to myself. The hobgoblin ran after me and I dodged to the side and swung my sword at its neck. The hobgoblin pulled out another sword to block my attack. It swung the other sword at my stomach. I barely dodge it and countered with a swing of my sword. The hobgoblin tried to block my attack with its sword but did not have a good grip on it and the sword fell out of its hands. The hobgoblin roared and jumped back from my swing. I followed it and kept trying to swing my sword but to no avail, the hobgoblin kept blocking my attacks and then kicked me in the stomach. It knocked the air out of me, and I fell to the floor. The hobgoblin tried to stab me on the ground. I rolled out of the way and felt the sword that it dropped beside me. I picked the sword up and got up off the ground. I swung my sword at the hobgoblin but it blocked me once again then I swung down the other sword that I picked up and cut the left arm off of the hobgoblin it yelled and pain and brought its sword down at me. I moved out of the way, but the sword ended up cutting my leg a little. I charged at the hobgoblin again with both swords it blocked one but the other contacted its head and sliced it down the middle it collapsed back finally dead. I put my sword away and found a scabbard for the sword that I had picked up and decided to keep it as well. I limped back outside after I got proof of killing the hobgoblin to see the Kureko was finishing up her fight with the goblin assassin. She was bruised and a little scratched up, but the assassin was on the ground and then she finished it off with her razor-sharp claws through its skull. We got the proof that we did the assignment for the guild then Kureko and I collapsed on the ground sore, tired, and out of energy. Rena came up to us and told us we both did a good job and helped us treat our wounds. I can''t believe a hobgoblin and a goblin assassin were both here she said. You both deserve a rest. She said the bag had 60 bronze coins in it for taking out 2 c rank monsters and asked for our guild cards as well.¡± We gave our cards to her and she handed it back a minute later with a smile and said, ¡°congratulations on your promotion to e rank.¡± We told the receptionist thank you and left the guildhall. We went back to the inn because Kureko and I were still tired and sore. When we got to the inn room, I counted the money that we made from this task and smiled.
