The Game converted our world into a huge dungeon, completely replacing the previous civilization. However, the alien plans for Earth began to go awry from the very beginning. The conversion was less successful than expected. An ordinary young man stole the bonus for the first gaming action, depriving the invaders of their perk. How can he manage the situation? Which of the aliens will become his ally? Which ones are his enemy? Dare they rebel against the all-powerful invaders, regain their land and even create a new world? Chapter 11 When Yar woke up, he was in no hurry to open his eyes, Heck. His fingertips and toes still felt and remembered the dragon''s jerking agony. It was a very unpleasant sensation. But this torture didn¡¯t last long¡ªno more than two heartbeats. Yar tried to feel something else, but he felt nothing but a brief flash of disappointment for his stupidity. The strange, absolute silence for some reason seemed to be surprisingly cozy. He couldn¡¯t feel his body at all. However, he was warm, comfortable and calm. Yar was seized with a feeling of complete security and thought with a surprise, Ha! I don¡¯t feel any anger and regret. Yar tried to cultivate hatred towards the necromancers that caused him so much pain, but a snow-white avalanche of kindness erased all his efforts. It¡¯s cool. He started the countdown, three, two, one¡ and then he opened his eyes and saw complete darkness. Suddenly, something turned off and instantly changing its structure became fluid and mobile. Yar had the feeling that soft water ran through his body, freeing his eyes¡ªand then he could see. It ran away from his face and ears¡ªand he could hear. And then, finally, he could move his lips. Yar raised his head. ¡°Wow!¡± he said breathlessly. The picture of what was happening was impressive. It was not water, Yar¡¯s senses had deceived him, it was a fine black dust resembling flowing graphite. It quickly flowed out of the large room. It turns out that I was inside a shelter, completely covered or flooded with this gracious and strange substance, he guessed. Yar tried to understand what it was, but no matter how hard he tried to catch this material with his hand, he didn¡¯t succeed. ¡°It¡¯s elusive.¡± While he was thinking how to succeed, the slippery substance was gone, and not even a drop was left in the room. The shelter was completely cleared in ten seconds, and he smoothly immersed to the base. Yar examined himself, concluding that everything seemed to be normal¡ªhis health was at maximum, and he didn¡¯t feel any consequences of the fall. Lyan was lying nearby at arm¡¯s length, the symbionts were in place, and the stats and sources were all regular. Nevertheless, he did not avoid losses. ¡°Oh, System,¡¯ Yar said with great regret, not having found Snake-Enchantress on his finger. He gritted his teeth viciously. ¡°I won¡¯t leave here until I have found my snake,¡± he said menacingly, threatening someone invisible with his fist. Yar was sad for a minute or two, but he needed to move on. He touched the base on which he was sitting: it was elastic, warm, pleasant to the touch, and was of a greenish-pastel color. Then he looked up, and a bluish, pleasant light was illuminating his refuge. This is water, he realized suddenly. Yar involuntarily leaned against a warm, rough wall, and it became transparent. The man studied the shelter more closely. It turned out that it consisted of three floors: a swimming pool was on the top floor, as well as a dining room and a toilet room. Resuscitation, rehabilitation and observation zones were then located on the second floor. A training room with walls absorbing any energy was on the ground floor. A narrow portal in the walls was used to move up and down. Yar was impressed by the pool¡ªit was at least fifty yards long. He decided to take a swim right away, and he swam for a long time and with pleasure. *** In the middle room, where he woke up, Yar went up to the wall, pressed his hand, and took a few steps back¡ªa huge panoramic window spread out in front of him. The surrounding situation did not make him happy; he had to increase the transparency zone to a whole wall. Yar tried scanning, but nothing changed, because it was blocked by the shelter. However, there was something to look at. A wight camp was located nearby¡ªliterally three hundred yards from the shelter. It was an unusual camp: just one bonfire and three tents around it. The fire was most likely just a tribute to tradition. The tents of the three higher necromancers did not look simple and, most likely, they were equipped with technological stuffing. There were about six thousand wights, and most of them were standing motionless, like stone columns, occupying the entire visible space around Yar¡¯s refuge. There should be other wights, for example, guard squads. Yar saw the confirmation of his thoughts almost immediately, by crossing to the other side of the shelter and making a small transparent square. There was darkness, but the shining of the stars was bright enough for Yar. He noticed almost immediately two guard groups. One of them soon disappeared behind the nearest dune. However, Yar managed to carefully discern the second. The wights were now walking next to his shelter! Yar counted twenty-three individuals in the squad. Two extremely nervous monsters quickly went ahead, and they bounced, spun from side to side, and sometimes sat down. Freezing for a moment, they sniffed and bullied their muzzles. The creatures were completely unlike warriors: skinny, hunched over, but impetuous, often leaning on their front legs while moving. They also had huge, humpbacked noses with wide nostrils and round, deep-set eyes, like those of a boiled crab. However, Yar was most struck by their grinning mouth and forked snake tongue, flickering back and forth. The author''s content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. Unfortunately, Yar wasn¡¯t able to read these wights¡¯ stats, who were most likely performing the role of bloodhounds. A powerful wight, apparently the head of the detachment, confidently marched behind these two ¡®lovely creatures¡¯. Two rows of well-armed wights followed them. After about an hour of observation, Yar realized that four detachments were roaming around the camp patrolling, and perhaps, there were other groups at distant approaches. The discipline of the necromancers was magnificent, so Yar didn¡¯t doubt the presence of distant cordons and, most likely, other observers. ¡°Well, it¡¯s time for me to take stock,¡± Yar said aloud, pacing the shelter. It was easier for him to think in this way. ¡°First, I seem to have got to the location where the necromancers¡¯ burials with their servants are situated. I think there are more than seventeen of them. Second, these necromancers are clearly powerful wizards. In any case, I have never met such people before. In addition, their magic is non-standard. Third, these burials are most likely Ankh Bloodstained¡¯s servants, so if I stay here any longer, it will be difficult for me to get out of here. Although, can I even go from here without this map? I still can¡¯t answer this question. Fourth, the Cursed Lands qualitatively are blocking my best fighting spells. In addition to this, necromancers effectively suppress any allowed portals, completely depriving me of my usual mobility in battle. Well, what should I do? I need new tactics and new solutions in magic. Or might my opportunities work here in the shelter?¡± Yar suddenly guessed. Yar immediately went into the Demiurge workshop. After two seconds of confusion, he began to yell and dance with joy. ¡°Ha! Well, the Cursed Lands, you¡¯d better watch out!¡± His hands were trembling with anticipation; he had many incredible ideas. Yar had to stop and calm this mind by drinking some mineral water. His emergency plan was almost complete. He didn¡¯t leave the workshop, using the acceleration of time at full capacity. Yar laid out two swords from the storeroom on the table. Since the closed characteristics were revealed, and the main ones of both blades changed¡ªdue to the ¡®scalable¡¯ property¡ªYar, with interest, highlighted the stats of both swords in order to know as much information about them as possible.

Sorry, unknown master, lost in centuries, I will continue your magnificent work. From the very beginning, Yar had the idea of ??improving the swords. He was going to use the Ognis rune¡ªa true fire¡ªthat had already shown its effectiveness, and then he would add other runes and spells. However, the longer Yar held these magnificent swords in his hands, the more he became convinced that although this was the most obvious way, it was most likely not the best one in his current circumstances. What if I act on the contrary and draw the inverted runes? The information stated that inverted runes can only be used on enemies. Yar was thoughtful, and someone very cautious seemed to whisper to him, ¡°The path of darkness, the path of darkness.¡± ¡°The path of darkness,¡± Yar confidently said, and he boldly proceeded to the intended. He was decisive: according to the ritual, having rejected all disturbing thoughts from himself, he drank blessed mineral water from his native planet and lit a Cuban cigar. When he was ready, he set to work. Initially, the inverted runes were drawn on both swords, turning them a blinding blue. ¡®Elyambi¡¯¡ªstasis, ¡®Ognis¡¯¡ªtrue darkness, ¡®Rambo¡¯¡ªtheft of defenses, and ¡®Magitic¡¯¡ª the abduction of magic. Then, as if with a fire seal, he drew the true, not inverted runes, ¡®Zizha¡¯¡ªash, and ¡®Akash¡¯¡ªmodification. Surprisingly, all the runes were installed without any hitches or cancellations. The swords looked beautiful, and Yar raised them up to admire them¡ªfive runes glowed blue on the blades, and the other two were fiery. All this time, while imprinting the runes on the hilt, Yar imagined how these swords would tirelessly chop the wights to ashes. He was triumphant and was about to finish his work when something odd happened. ¡°Phew,¡± Yar exhaled noisily. He was pulled out like a speck of dust and moved somewhere. He seemed to be falling endlessly; there was impenetrable darkness all around. Despite the fact that he was flying down and couldn¡¯t even see his body, for some reason he was calm and even surprisingly pleased. Suddenly, Yar felt gentle female hands and a kiss on his neck, then a very pleasant, distant laugh. After a moment, he reappeared in reality. Chapter 12 ¡°What was that?¡± Yar exclaimed when he returned to his refuge. Then something happened that gave him an exhaustive answer. ¡°Oh, System,¡± he whispered when a message emerged in the air before his eyes:
Attention! Yar Row Dark!
Darkness has paid its attention to you
You get access to the possibilities of Dark Magic
Gifts of the Highest Darkness: Lightning of Darkness spell Scourge of Darkness spell Veil of Darkness spell

Behind this grandiose, even slightly frightening announcement came the usual message:
Confirm the modification:
Swords (Shadows¡¯ Big Brother, Shadows¡¯ Younger Brother)
Yar confirmed the modification and even recoiled in surprise since very quickly an inexplicable metamorphosis occurred with each sword. At first, they were melted, then they were covered with frost, glowing unbearably. Then they both became as black as coal, before completely disappearing from view. The swords changed their forms¡ªsometimes they were shortened or lengthened, overgrown with thin ten-inch-long needles. Yar didn¡¯t even notice how all this fussing stopped, but he kept blinking his eyes and watching the pair of weapons, waiting for other changes to take effect. The twin swords looked amazing¡ªthey were incredibly beautiful. The blades were as black¡ªas though they absorbed the very light¡ªwith a slight touch of blue. The cross-guard was also dark and seemed to be covered with frost, from which came a light whitish fog. The handle was elongated as if molded from coal, and at first glance it looked simple and fragile. No, it¡¯s not fragile, I was mistaken, Yar thought with admiration when he picked up his swords. Darkness clotted from the hilts and quickly swaddled his arms to the elbow with black ribbons, drawing his swords to his palms. At first, Yar thought that this fixation could interfere with the work of his wrists, and this would affect his fighting style. However, after several blows, he realized that this was different. Something told Yar, dancing with the swords, that garter tapes would help him in battle. He immediately tried to hit himself flat on the forearm. It didn¡¯t work out, and the sword bounced with a jingle. ¡°Hey!¡± Yar screamed. ¡°What about the stats?¡± They were incredible.

Yar sighed and cut the air in a circular motion. It turned out that these swords were even better than his energy swords, and he almost exactly repeated the phrase of one of his most familiar scumbags, ¡°Ferocity, Fear, you are on my team now. We will do a good deal! I promise you will like it.¡± The swords didn¡¯t answer¡ªthey didn¡¯t even give a sign¡ªbut Yar knew how to fix that. However, he was at a loss when he read the next message, the letters of which looked as if cut out with a sword. Again, the system, blowing fanfare to the whole of white and dark worlds, reported that the first dark artifact had emerged in the Belt of the Worlds. Glory to the System and Darkness, Yar was incognito again. He received as a reward some weird thing that lay on his palm. If Yar hadn¡¯t previously encountered such artifacts and hadn¡¯t been able to read stats, then he would have got rid of this stuff. A hefty black nail, according to its essence and stats, was an unbelievably valuable treasure¡ªdespite the fact that it looked as if it had been made by a drunken master with the help of a spoiled drill, a blunt file, and someone¡¯s teeth.

The head of the Midnighters clan began to quickly undress. He was in a hurry. It seemed to him that the wight army could break into his shelter at any moment, or something else could prevent him from using this artifact. Yar had already seen a similar nail once, so he knew what to do. He brought the point of the crutch to his bare chest and began to look for a better place. After a few minutes, he had already found several entry points. Each time he found the desired place, the artifact wriggled like a leech, trying to slip out of his hands while blazing brightly and vibrating. However, Yar hesitated, realizing that he needed to choose the most effective place on his body. Noting them with the scratches, he spent some more time choosing. Finally, having decided on a place, glory to the system, it wasn¡¯t his heart area, he pressed the nail to his body. The ¡®crutch¡¯ instantly bit into his flesh, and Yar hit it hard and sharply with his palm. ¡°Argh!¡± Yar screamed and collapsed backward. He recovered, panting heavily. It seemed that he had no strength at all. His head was spinning, as if someone had hit his head, and black dots were flashing before his eyes. Yar shook his head and, thanks to his reserves of willpower, he raised himself up on his elbows. He looked at his chest, and there was almost no blood at all. Without hesitation, he used a remedial unit. It didn¡¯t help much; the man had been trying to get up for a long time, and he seemed to have forgotten how to walk. Finally, Yar decided to crawl over to the table, where, pulling himself up with his hands, he gingerly rose to his feet. He succeeded. Gritting his teeth and shaking from impotence, he straightened up. ¡°It¡¯s so cold here¡ Wow! That was stunning!¡± Yar caught his breath, used the whole series of remedial units, and stoically endured this medical sadism. Fortunately, after all these procedures, he came to life and seemed to get rid of all side effects in the form of the chills, the black spots in the vision, and other afflictions. This time, Yar examined his chest more carefully, but he didn¡¯t find a scar. He could breathe freely; nothing unusual was felt when pressing on the crutch¡¯s entry place. Everything seems to be normal. I¡¯m alive, healthy, and with a new achievement¡ But where are my swords? I don¡¯t remember anything¡ Yar looked at his palms, trying to gradually recall the process of his transformation. However, he couldn¡¯t manage to form his thoughts until the end, when two short and swift black swords appeared in his hands. Yar repeated the circular motion, and whistling cut the air around him. Yeah! Yar grinned and thought that he needed to remove his swords and have a drink¡ªaccording to the old earthly tradition. After such an experience, he needed to calm his nerves. Yar decided to drink in a simple way: just a glass of vodka. Only when he poured the glass, did he notice that the swords had disappeared. The man felt idiotic. Although the stats indicated full hidden wearing¡ªjust in case Yar checked the subspace storage¡ªthere were no swords at all. Nevertheless, he only had to think about them and start moving into the stance of a swordsman, and the swords reappeared in his hands. After playing for a minute or two, Yar decided to act strictly according to plan. ¡°Cheers to the dark demiurge and the first dark artifactor! I mean, cheers to me.¡± Yar drank half a glass of vodka. He didn¡¯t even jerk; he was a dark demiurge after all. He stood for a while, smiling, and then he slowly exhaled, taking out Esten Midday¡¯s Reaper dagger, in which the soul of a familiar and unlucky portaler had been languishing! Yar was pondering his decisions and the consequences of his future actions. He walked a little back and forth, pacing the shelter in order to finally recover and concentrate. He had doubts, of course, Will I do the right thing if I decide to return Aire Ant back from oblivion in these circumstances? On the other hand, this portaler might become a very important factor in a future scenario. However, he is too weak to use his full talents. Will I be able to level him up in this damn inhospitable land? Yeah, that will be fun to try. Okay, back to work. Chapter 13 Yar couldn¡¯t stop thinking about these dangerous sands, but he somehow gradually returned to what had happened. What else did a true adventurer need to feel complete happy? Yar¡¯s future was unpredictable and rather murky, and beyond the panoramic porthole of the refuge, the view was frightening. The mysteriously exquisite silver light of the Yagli satellite shone somewhere upwards, and the nearest dunes were clearly visible. Some evil deity seemed to have placed its dangerous zombies there, resembling tin soldiers. Yar thoughtfully tapped on the viewing window and frowned: these frightening black pillars were everywhere. He turned away from the depressing picture, massaging his temples, trying to forget the obsessive view, while he glanced at the revived portaler. He didn¡¯t seem to feel well either. The portaler had been standing there, white with blue lips and shaking violently, for a long time. His behavior wasn¡¯t surprising after being imprisoned within the magical dagger. Yar wasn¡¯t afraid for the safety of his memory; little time had passed since the time the man had died and returned from oblivion. However, Yar had to start talking to bring the guy to his senses. He spoke calmly, smiling as good-naturedly as possible. ¡°Sorry, buddy! I couldn¡¯t protect you again. I didn¡¯t expect such a treacherous and arrogant attack in the very center of the Imperial capital.¡± Aire Ant, apparently remembered the last moments before his death, and he grimaced. As if still feeling the pain, he touched his throat, checking for a wound, and then he croaked hoarsely, ¡°Timelessness is disgusting.¡± Yar took a deep breath, rubbed his forehead, and then said, ¡°Well, I know it¡¯s not easy for people to work for me, but I pay increased premiums for service and loyalty.¡± Then Yar instantly included Aire in the list of those who had been awarded two abilities, hoping that the dragon battle form and his dark school might be useful to the portaler. As it turned out, receiving such dividends could also serve as an instant treatment. In a second, both a blush and an interest in life returned to Aire. ¡°What? What¡ what¡ is this? And where are we?¡± Yar nodded approvingly and pointed with his hand to the portal in the wall. ¡°I¡¯m glad you came back to life. There¡¯s a portal niche. Go to the lower level, and there you can try out the innovations. Work until your muscles start hurting, but don¡¯t bring yourself to exhaustion. Most of all, try to achieve the ease! Imagine yourself a weightless fluttering moth. As soon as you feel that you are becoming overweight and clumsy, then go to the pool. Swim, relax, and then go back to work. Don¡¯t use the battle form. A dragon¡¯s form doesn¡¯t fit in here. Although¡¡± Yar pointed with his thumb towards the ceiling. ¡°It¡¯s great in the sky. By the way, we are in a shelter, surrounded by the wights, but here¡±¡ªYar spread his hands¡ª¡°nothing threatens us. But in order to get out of this huge location known as the Cursed Lands, we will have to work hard with both magic and swords.¡± The portaler opened his mouth in surprise. All his fears and insecurities faded away after receiving his incredible amplification. A rare mixture of triumph, delight, and insane fear was reflected on his keen face very clearly. Suddenly, Yar immersed himself in his memories. He had already seen something like this once in his childhood at the St. Petersburg circus. An ordinary boy was riding a hefty bear round the arena. Before that, the animal had ridden a bike and a motorcycle, but still, it was a real bear, a real beast. How much time has passed since that day? ¡°Eternity,¡± Yar exhaled quietly. The memories of those happy times when his parents were alive still hurt him. ¡°Yes, Lord!¡± Aire Ant shouted and tore Yar from his painful thoughts. The guy then instantly disappeared into the portal niche. That¡¯s good. I still have much to do. Yar noticed long ago that it was easier for him to think while moving, probably, like many earthlings. Now, he had something to ponder. Closing his eyes, Yar, with the slight grace of a moth not turning into a combat trance, began to spin, performing, one after another, the movements of his school. Most of all, he wanted to understand his latest crazy and bold thoughts and ideas. He still needed to know the truth: whether it was the influence of his latest achievement, or whether he began to think creatively, but frighteningly. However, he was very confident. Eva and Lyan helped Yar think about the solution. They spent more than an hour discussing things, but they never reached a consensus. Finally, Yar decided, Thanks, Eva. Thanks, Lyan. I must try to get a clear answer. It is resolved. Lyan, control my pulse and general physical condition¡ªyou now have access to the remedial blocks, so use them when you find it necessary. Eva, you will be engaged in general coordination and subtle matters¡ªmy aura and sources. Come on, my friends. ¡°Yes, Master,¡± his assistants answered in unison.A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. Yar lay down in the center of the room; he wasn¡¯t very comfortable. He turned to the side, but it didn¡¯t help. Yar sighed. ¡°This is not my place!¡± He got up, went into a corner, sat down, and threw back his head. The place in the corner fit him perfectly. Lyan, please, bare my right hand. It took the guard more time to respond than instantly. The leader of the Midnighters clan calmed down. He even excessively relaxed, took out a bottle of vodka, the best cigar, and a bottle of mineral water¡ªit was almost his traditional set. Yar then relaxed, took a few sips of mineral water directly from the neck of the bottle, cut the cigar, lit it, smoked it for pleasure, and began filling the shelter with an incomparable all-penetrating aroma. He uncorked the vodka, sprinkled it on his palm and carefully rubbed his arm to his shoulder. Having done this several times, Yar tightened the cork and leaned back. Meditation, appeal to new opportunities and knowledge, brought a clear understanding that the workshop would not help here, and the system of the dark artifact was a completely different hypostasis, older than the system. He suffered from fear and uncertainty that he couldn¡¯t do anything. ¡°I am dark,¡± Yar stated confidently, and everything changed at once: he saw himself as if from the side, sitting relaxed in the corner¡ªa cigar smoldered in his teeth. Unreasonably, he thought, I¡¯ll burn someday. He looked down and flinched both physically and mentally. Mommy¡ I¡¯m like that black-black man from children¡¯s horror stories, only I¡¯m even worse. Yar quickly coped with his excited state and started examining himself and the state of his consciousness. His hands waved, and his legs walked, however, this black-black man could most likely be called a clear outline of his body, filled with darkness. Examining himself, crouching and bouncing, Yar behaved like a child and did not even notice when the portaler appeared. Aire Ant immediately chopped Yar in two, and then again, and again. The clan leader watched in surprise as his body was cut and fell apart, but then he became whole once again. Aire, like a ceiling fan, was furiously cutting the air with his swords. A thought rushed through Yar¡¯s mind. Damn, you can play in the theater. I hope this guy won¡¯t have a stroke¡ªit¡¯s as if he¡¯s fighting with his swords so passionately that his eyes are bulging. Yar concentrated and tried to reach out to the portaler. Hey-hey, damn swordsman, stop chopping me up! I¡¯m not a new form of makiwara for practicing your blows! It¡¯s me, you fool. I¡¯m your comrade, ally, and master. There was no response. With annoyance, Yar quickly hit Aire in the chest with his open palm, trying to push him away, completely forgetting about his ethereal image. Oddly enough, the strike turned out to be very effective, and the portaler was thrown apart, like a dry maple leaf torn off the tree by a gust of wind, and then he hit hard against the wall. Yes, an unexpected attack is my strong suit. Yar spread his arms and very spectacularly moved in a haze state to Aire Ant, who was lying unconscious while noting that his movement was slower than the short portal. I almost killed him, Yar thought with fear. The life indicator was in the red sector and showed fluctuations from three to one percent. This effect was first discovered by Yar, and that was not all. A black trace from the palm of his hand flaunted on the young guy¡¯s chest, and his clothes in this place seemed to burn out. Yar immediately used remedial units. Hmm, it seems my spells in this state work much more efficiently. He decided to check it without delay. Everything was right, and it turned out that the efficiency of all his spells increased by twenty percent. While Yar was distracted by the comparative analysis, the portaler opened his eyes. Now Aire behaved right: he froze, apparently, realizing that the enemy wouldn¡¯t have treated him in this way. The healing also seemed familiar to him. Realizing that the thought connection for some reason did not work, Yar suddenly decided to communicate in other accessible ways. The black-black man wrote with black ink right in the air, as if on canvas: ¡°Aire, stop fighting. It¡¯s me, Yar. Stop pretending innocence and rushing at me with swords. Do you have an assignment? So, keep working! This is my first and last warning. Or I will act like Vey the Shamrock, then, be sure, you won¡¯t like it very much.¡± The puzzled portaler prudently hastened to the transport niche. Wow, he¡¯s fast, Yar thought, watching Aire leave. I will have to see the mark on his chest later. Well, it turns out that my dark artifactor¡¯s working form is not a harmless state. And it seems that the black-black man will be able to surprise his rivals. Yar¡¯s assumption was immediately confirmed.
